To finish @aggressivelyarospec's Aggressively Arospectacular 2022, I have a final embroidery piece to share with you all.
(I know: it’s actually Sunday where I am. But it’s still Saturday elsewhere, so I figured I’d squeeze this one in.)
This piece comprises a simple design worked in running stitch, resulting in a simple, subtle arrow-themed piece. I used a stencil from Daiso and a heat-erasable marker to create the lines, but a ruler would be almost as easy to use as the stencil. It doesn’t take long to stitch up, either. All you need is a bit of scrap fabric, a hoop and needle, pen/pencil/chalk, a few thread colours and an in-and-out stitch--voila, pride art!
Image description beneath keep reading:
[image description: A freehand embroidery piece on cream calico, set into a bamboo embroidery hoop. The piece consists of a repeating pattern of arrows in dashed lines/running stitch. The arrows are sewn in green and gold thread, the heads pointing in opposite directions. The hoop sits atop a blue microfibre blanket.]
