❀ you adored your blossoming relationship between you and freminet. but the problem is, you can't swim. how will you accompany him in the water if you can only manage to go two feet in? ah.. this calls for swimming lessons! will he give them to you? you wanted nothing more than to spend time with your boyfriend doing the thing he loves most. plus, you've been needing to be taught this skill for a long time coming, not only for freminet, but for your own safety! no more floaties, y/n~!

❀ you were on a date with him one day, well, it was more of you tagging along with him as he went to dive and log his discoveries, but he enjoyed greeting you at the shore and playing in the shallow end with you at times. freminet would pop up out of the water just to see your pretty face and hang around you for a bit until he went back in again.

❀ you usually loved to pick out the best seashells for him, digging them out of the warm sand. he would end up keeping every single one and held them in a keepsake box. your heart just fluttered thinking about it, but you wanted more than to just stay behind and find trinkets on land.

as the two of you were on the way home for the night, you asked him the question.

"hey, freminet?" you pique his interest.

"yes? is something wrong? i apologize if you were getting bored.. we can do something else tomorrow." he sighed, instinctively putting his walls up.

“not at all. in fact, i wanted to ask you a favor. can you please teach me how to swim?” you asked him, hopes high and eyes gleaming. you were so excited to finally try and learn, and who better than him to teach you? he’s the best diver in all of fontaine!

“wait.. really?” freminet seemed as if that was the last question he was expecting.

“i thought you weren’t open to the idea, seeing you never strayed far from the shore.. so i never pried. are you s-sure?”

“of course! i should’ve learned when i was little, but i’ve always been afraid to drown. now that i realize it, i need to be properly prepared.” you cleared your throat. “i want to explore with you. i truly want to know more, but my lack of ability is holding me back.” you confess.

“alright y/n, i will try my very best to help. i promise to keep you safe.” he gratefully sighed with a small smile. “say, when would you like to start?”

“tomorrow!” you beam cheerfully. >ᴗ<

❀ when you told freminet that you wanted to learn to swim, he was over the moon. he hoped that you would enjoy the realm of possibilities that would unfold as a result. but for now, he was lazer focused on your well-being, and when you guys reached the secluded beach where your first session would begin, he told you over and over again that you shouldn't push yourself. swimming can be difficult at first.

❀ you reminded him of how greatly you wanted to do this, and so he simply gave you a tiny nod, happy knowing that he is able to share his knowledge with you. he loves you whether you are able to swim or not, but the fact that you’re taking the initiative.. warms his heart.

❀ when you two were taking off your coverups, freminet’s swimsuit was revealed and your jaw dropped. it was a change from his thick diving suit that concealed his entire body, and you had never seen him in such a tight fit up until now. it accentuated his muscle tone and his broad shoulders. you willed yourself to stop your heart from beating out of your chest.

“that swimsuit looks perfect on you!” you’d compliment him.

although you could tell he felt a bit insecure.

“ah, it does? thank you.. i'm glad you like it.” he looked away, his face heating right up. your kind words felt very significant to him, but it is difficult for him to express his gratitude without feeling like a horde of butterflies forced their way into his stomach.

“anywho, where do we begin, my dear teacher?” you tease. this makes him blush even more. hey, you just have to give this boy all the admiration that you possibly can! he deserves it~! even if he isn’t used to it.. ;^;

“p-please y/n! you’re making my heart melt.” he blurted out.

“i’m overjoyed that i am.” you gave him a thoughtful grin, and turned away to dabble into the water. “whew, it’s cold!”

freminet followed closely behind you, and both of you began wading in until the water was up to your torsos. that’s about how deep you were able to go without a struggle emerging.

“it will warm up after awhile.” he assures you, whilst he has no reaction whatsoever to the chill.

you stretch your arms and get prepared. "a little cold won't hurt!" you respond in determination, letting out a sharp breath.

“alright, the first step to swimming is knowing how to float. so, we’re going to start off on your back. it will greatly help with keeping stable in the water…” freminet directed.

“okay, that doesn’t sound too difficult!” you excitedly respond. you sink down and slowly lean back, but the sensation puts you off. you didn’t know the first thing about proper form.

as if freminet was reading your mind, he quickly comes to your aid. “i-it’s fine y/n, i’m right here to hold you up. lay down, and i’ll adjust you.”

you trust his guidance, and so you continue to lean until the back of your head touched the surface of the water, and suddenly, you feel one hand under your head and another one holding up your lower back area, stabilizing your body.

“there we go, n-now just breathe how you normally would. you can loosen your legs so they dangle..” he told you. “the thing about floating is that your center of gravity is in your upper body."

you listened in, and looked down at your center to make sure you were balanced. but instead, your body was feeling heavy and you were a bit lopsided. "ohh, gotcha!"

"i'll give you some pointers, uhmm, so you'll want to point your chin up to the sky. if you focus on what your feet are doing, you won't stay afloat because your stomach will sink."

you'd adjust your chin, obeying his instruction. "got it!" you spotted a pretty cloud in the process. what a beautiful day~

"and, you'll want to lift your chest and your hips up. that will arch your back and help tilt your body to break the surface." he helped you out to find the perfect positioning, carefully making small adjustments.

"that's a lot better!" you mentioned, your spirit building. "what next?"

"you're doing a great job, y/n.. now you just need to spread your arms out and pretend you're a swan, propeling yourself backwards. i'll be holding you the entire time. would you like to try?"

"mhm!" you began to move your arms, and glided through the gentle waves. it felt surreal, you were totally weightless with freminet moving you along.

"yes, that's good!" he applauded. "okay, can you use your legs next?" a glint of confidence was revealed within him.

you then used your legs, but flailed them about and accidentally created some splashes.

"a bit more gently, and you've got it. try to keep your calves under the water, then kick on again." he instructed with the smallest hint of a chuckle. this feeling.. his love for you, and your company, it made him feel so giddy.

you took his advice, and tried again, making sure to avoid disrupting the surface of the water, and then you stood up straight with one of his hands boosting you up.

“that's correct. can you.. try using your arms and legs at the same time?”

you were determined, but you paused for a moment to try and figure out how you were going to stay coordinated.

“don't worry about staying afloat yet, we will get to that. my hands are right under you at all times.” he nodded earnestly, patiently waiting for you to try it out.

“i got this!” you pump your fists in the air, then you prepare yourself, angling your frame backwards as freminet hovers his arms near.

“do everything that i’ve taught you so far.”

taking a breath in, you kick your legs, and once you were consistent, you then propelled your arms, making large, controlled movements, grateful for his help to keep steady.

“you’re doing it, you’re doing it y/n!” freminet praised.

“i am?” you beam, and continue on. “i really am!” you couldn’t believe it. this had to be the first time if your life that you properly swam.

you travel for a couple feet, before you look up at freminet's face to notice that he has on the biggest, most adorable smile that you have ever seen.

“it's all thanks to you.” you tell him, before slowing down and coming up once more.

“i've got to say, you're a natural.” his expression was so sincere that you couldn't help but get flustered and beam.

❀ after some more practicing with freminet, you were tired out. but it was a great feeling, because this only marks the beginning of all the progress that there is to come! you were helped to realize that swimming wasn't so scary after all. as long as you had the best teacher by your side, you could accomplish anything!

❀ something else that you were loving was that freminet tended to put his hair up into a ponytail before swimming. occasionally, he lets you put braids in his hair~ what more is there to love?

it was getting dark, and so you both decided to dry off and start walking home together. but as you made your way out of the ocean, a wave surged your leg forward in the shallow end and caused you to trip on a rock.

“ack!” you call out in surprise, feeling yourself losing your foothold. before you could brace your hands forward to hit the ground, you feel a cradling sensation.

you fell right into his arms!

“y/n, are you alright? I'm sorry! i should have warned you about the rocks over here.”

though, his words weren't what you were focused on at the moment. he had a hand on your waist and the other grasping your shoulder, and he was staring down at you in concern, blond locks flowing with the light wind.

“yes.. i'm okay.” you finally speak, and notice an endearing spark in his gorgeous eyes. you swore that you could find a thousand hues of blue in them, getting lost in his dreamy gaze.

you were totally frozen in place, and it wasn’t because of the chilly water.

by now, the dusk had begun to settle, and in the twilight, you find yourself yearning for a kiss, his captivating features inviting you in.

without another word, you pull your head up until you were inches away from his face. freminet blinked a few times, then closed his eyes in anticipation.

your lips met with his, and you both melt into the soft, sweet kiss. the waves crash by your legs, but you weren't going anywhere with the way freminet was holding on to you like no tomorrow.

Neuvillette x Reader: 31. “Everyone wanted to give up on me, except you.”

Another bonus drabble that was not on the original list. @vizell was so disappointed by the lack of Neuvilette, so here you go. Oh and it's a merman AU. 😌

For months you had been returning to that same shore you met him for the first time— when you couldn't believe your eyes when you saw a half man, half fish sitting on a small rock in the light rain. 

It might have been the saddest sight in your life, but also the most beautiful. He noticed you, his long white hair flowing unnaturally behind his back like it wasn’t affected by rain, his lips parted in surprise like he had never seen anyone like you before.

He was wary of you; most explorers coming to these same shores often had bad intentions, but you were hunting a legend: the sunken city of Fontaine. Gold and riches didn’t bring you upon those shores, but a mystery that needed to be solved.

Just a day before you were supposed to return home empty handed had you stumbled upon him. Unfortunately there was no way for you to get funding without capturing the silvery haired merman, but every inch in your body screamed against such thought. You talked to him that day, learning that you didn't even want to share about his existence to the rest of the world; no funding would be worth his suffering.

After months of coming and going, you returned one last time. Neuvillette was already waiting for you, sitting in the shallow waters, ready to help you below sea level as you possibly couldn't enjoy the dive without any equipment and without any funding you couldn't afford the said diving equipment.

“It is good to see you again,” he murmured softly, sending butterflies flying inside of you with that sad smile of his, “I trust your fellow humans didn't give you this… funding.”

You plop down to your knees in front of him, cold waves of sea water rising to tickle your legs. Even when you didn't have any money to actually research the sunken Fontaine, you would give up everything as you were completely enamored by him. Neuvilette had been distrusting in the beginning, but slowly he had begun trusting you and eventually he dreaded being away from you.

“I'm happy that you're actually waiting for me here every time.” You told him shyly, averting your eyes off his bare upper body. He sometimes wore kelps or seaweed— said they were given by the Melusines he often visited when he had the time.

“Why wouldn't I wait?” He asked, taking your hand into his, while he sat in the shallow tide in front of you, “you have brought sun into my rain.”

Neuvillette was always so honest and that made your heart race wildly, “Neuvillette— everyone wanted to give up on me, except you.” Your words left you breathless. He always believed in you.

He softly tugged your hand and you gave in, slowly drifting deeper and deeper into the water but he never let go, even when some survival instinct of yours screamed as the cold water embraced you and how the loss of sand beneath your feet became real.

“Are you ready?” He asked politely like he did every time. You had been to the sunken city of Fontaine so many times, yet something always kept you on your toes. You felt his scaly lower body brushing against yours, his arms wrapping around your waist to keep you still.

“Take me home,” you whispered shakily, avoiding water ending up in your lungs. It was a decision you made a while ago; you had no reason to stay above the sea. And so, he took you underwater, diving swiftly to your new home, holding you tight and afraid of letting go as the dark sea would devour you without him.

LET'S TALK GENSHIN AND REMURIA AND ARLECCHINO BEFORE I FORGET AND WE'RE ALREADY IN SECOND HALF OF THE PATCH WHY DOES TIME FLY WHEN YOU'RE AN ADULT

I'm gonna start the post with a few paragraphs I wrote just a few days after the patch went live:

So I finished the first Remuria world quest - it was beautiful. And really not as long as I first expected it to be. I probably could have finished it on the first day if I wouldn't have been as tired as I was

First of all the new map is beautiful. You'd think after 3? patches of map expansions where we already got underwater stuff it would feel repetetive but somehow it looks and feels different and refreshing. Maybe because majority of the map are caves where you can walk normally or they're ruins... idk.

I couldn't help but draw parallels between Remuria and HSR's Penacony tho, especially look-wise, the talk of a dreamscape and the theme of music. Especially now after finishing Penacony 2.2 I can't help but feel the two are very similar in certain aspects... the motive of Harmony and Song and Peace and saving a people and Gods? Also the way Remuria looks is so similar to certain things in Penacony? I already said rhis in my post on HSR, this is absolutely no hate whatsoever. I reckon there's only so much you can do with these motives? It's interesting how differently it looks in both games tho.

So yeah, Remuria is beautiful. The music is an out of body experience and encapsulates the whole thing perfectly. I haven't explored all of the map yet, but I like the new mechanisms a lot. The floating books look so cool and just generally the significance of music through it all... *sigh* it's so enjoyable.

So far for Remuria... i definitely missed a few things I wanted to say but it's been like 2 weeks since I played this and I definitely forgot something haha

AS FOR ARLECCHINO THO

First of all she's broken omg. It is kind lf annoying that it'll take weeks to max out her talents, rn for me she's sitting at crowned NA and skill and burst are level 7 each. But she still hits for like over 50k with each normal attack when she has a bond of life. Don't even get me started on her with Yelan MY GOD.

Okay with that out of the way let me talk about her story quest. First of all I find it very intriguing that hyv gave up on the usual pattern of having the second weekly boss for a nation be tied to the Archon and their respective second story quest (besides Mond ig)... i mean yeah Fontaine's archon situatipn is very peculiar but technically Neuvilette has taken over the role for now, right? Neither him nor Furina getting a second story quest makes me think Neuvi's probably gonna get his way later because it'll be HUGE. Again I wanna say that lore wise Neuvi is my fav character... HES JUST SO FNDNDBDN. And Furina is probably gonna get a pretty "random" one at one point kinda like Yoimiya did or Cyno... like its gonna be a good quest but it'a gonna be random. ANYWAY

I wonder how much different I would habe perceived the quest if I hadn't watched the Animated Short about Arlecchino that they put on Youtube... like it's her whole backstory? I could see where the quest was going right from the beginning because of it... that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it, tho

Childe's little surprise cameo made me so happy c: MY BOY. He's alive snd well AND IN FONTAINE. Let me remind ypu we last officially saw him in the last Atchon quest gwtting yeeted into a black hole by Skirk. Then it was mentioned at the end that he was being treated and sent gome to Snezhnaya. Well...

The whole cryptic talk between Arle and Childe was quite interesting... so this project by the Fatui, right? (Forgot the name rn bc it's been a few days since I played the quest) Is it fonna be significant for Natlans story? What does it entail?? THE TEASE NNNNGNNGHH

I wonder if at some point in the game we're actually gonna see Lyney become the new head of House of the Hearth. Like... it's mentioned quite a lot in his story as well as in everything that has tp do with the House and Sröecchino herself... I wonder 🤔

Throughout the story I was reminded that one of the first things we heard about her (Childes voiceline that came out in like??? 3.0 or so???). It was that she would turn her back on and betray the Harbingers (AND THE TSARISTA) without second thought. She even says this herself in her voicelines. I just wonder what her ultimate goal is? To free herself from the curse? Which btw they tell us nothing about in the story. Story is all about the House and its inner workings and Arle's feelings about it and plans for the future (which I love btw but still not quite understand)... we also casually get told that Arle is not even that old??? Like the whole thing with Crucabena is so recent that Freminet remembers her???? Amd Arle was maybe a Teenager when she killed her so like??? She's only around 10 years older than the kids????

So how come she's a descendant from Khaenri'ah? I don't know if I read somewhere abput it or if its a rumor but not confirmed or if its said in her personal story which I haven't read yet but... she'a from the crimson moon dynasty? Or has some ties to it? And her curse is definitely related to it BUT WHAT IS HER CURSE EXACTLY. WHY DOES SHE HAVE IT. If she's only in maybe her late 20s she couldn't have been an actual Khaenriahn citizen (same as Kaeya and he still gives me the same headache thinking about this) so how does it all tie together in the end?? Does it have to do with the God of time maybe??? (Nevermind if this is talked about in her personal story in her profile I haven't read that yet)

So yeah... the fight woth her was so cool. The animation??? I saw people get upset about the fact that Traveler couldn't beat her but I actually love that?? Like... She'a #4 of the Harbingers and has some curse probably tied to Khaenriah and she KILLED A HARBINGER WHEN SHE WAS A TEENAGER??? Traveler nlt being this almighty MC makes them so much mlre likeable like yeah... they are obv far from having their actual power back? It took us ... how many times to fight Shuki No Kami before we could defeat it in the final try to learn all the patterns? The game wants to tell us that there's much more powerful enemies in Teyvat and rhis is only the beginning. Let me tell you yeah we beat Signora but it was Raiden who killed her... it was Zhongli who subdued Azhdaha. We only healed Apep with Nahidas help. Traveler has never been able to easily defeat these big enemies, they always had help. Yeah they have been getting stronger, they've been getting access to more elements but the bis enemies are just getting stronger and bigger too... I wonder where that will lead. Maybe the twins are only gonna get their true power bavk once they're united... ANYWAY

Her weekly boss fight is cool too. Using different mechanisms again, with the whole Bond of Life thing and all. She does this one attack in her second phase that I just... can't get behind tho. Someone always has to be the victim, THE SACRIFICE, to get me through haha. Idk how to dodge or avoid that attack. The one where she floats above the arena and then these bombs? Idk? Come down and basically crash down on the whole arena and I haven't found a spot where you can aboid getting hit and therefore killed immediately idk.

So yeah that's all for now. Very excited to play Cyno's second story quest. Heard only good things so far about it, which is good because I really didn't like his first one 💀 probably gonna get around to play it one of these days. Same as with the rest of Remuria exploration, gonna need mlre Clorinde funds :3

It’s been a while since I last sent something here and I’m so sorry about that!! I’m doing a lot better now (although I never got my test results back to see if I had that syndrome or not LOL) and I almost have the two new Fontaine regions 100% oopsies! But I have like serious brainrot (but school is so tiring I usually just nap the whole afternoon) anyways!! I listened to one of mitski’s songs called “Once More to See You” and ugh it honestly just reminded me of Dottore and fragile!reader. The beginning makes me think of how fragil!reader and Dottore (especially) having a reputation and being looked as “weird” or as students who don’t belong in the Akademiya. The rest of the song just reminds me of Dottore being alone once fragile!reader fell into their coma, and him longing to feel your hand against his. To have your warm touch, caress his cheek, kiss his lips, embrace him, and to say his name, “Zandik!” In that lovely tone of yours. ouuughh I love fragile!reader and Dottore so so much just Dottore having to wait so long for them to wake up. Like imagine having to wait hundreds of years for the only person who’s every shown you affection and love. The only person to hold you so lovingly, say your name with love and not disgust, or with horror.

And after waking up??? Oughhh I know I say this a bit frequently but Dottore would become so so protective and possessive. I mean, you’re the only thing he has left, and he almost lost you once. He won’t spare to almost lose you another time, especially after centuries went by without your warm touch, or your voice. He defff savors every moment you two have together when he’s available. And especially when he becomes so used to having you on his lap and him being able to feel your heartbeat. Sometimes he may unconsciously tighten his grip on you when he’s holding you.

Dottore was definitely ostracized and excluded in the Akademiya, everyone thought that he nor his crazy ideas belonged there. And you, I imagine your reputation start to get dragged through the mud the more you hang out with Dottore. They just don't understand. Why would you ever want to even sit in the same room as him, much less befriend him? You started to be labeled as the same things as him. You don't mind (most of the time, sometimes it still gets to you) because you think those people are just shallow compared to your friend. But Zandik himself doesn't understand you either? There's no way that his "friendship" (your words, not his) is worth the stress of all this. He doesn't understand, it's not like you're using him, if anything he's the one using you instead. Zandik doesn't understand... but he's not going to admit that the fact that you chose him over everyone else makes him feel a certain way. And that tingly feeling only grows and grows. And he refuses to acknowledge it... until you leave him and suddenly everything he's chosen to ignore hits him at once. Everything that Zandik's been trying so hard to deny, he admits to now. He misses you... he longs for your touch, your kindness, the way you treat him with such love, your voice... as horrible as this is, it really did open his eyes. Made him realize that living by himself again in the dorms is slowly making him even crazier without you. Made him realize that he's willing to do anything, and i mean anything, to get you back.

OH YEAH Dottore is extremely protective over you when you finally wake up. See, Dottore isn't really scared of someone else hurting you. He knows that he and his segments would never let that happen. Rather, he's scared of other things. Like your illness. Things he can't control. Dottore is a man who's used to being in control now, so when he can't predict things? When he can't see them coming? He doesn't like that. Not one bit, especially when it comes to you. He needs to know everything, otherwise, he won't be satisfied. He can't risk you being hurt again, not under his watch. You're very confused in the beginning because hello? This is the same guy who used to let you go out and do all these crazy tasks on his behalf? But yeah, he can't help but be very possessive. It's very Dottore like of him.

Exploring underwater with him made me thinks of picking romaritime flowers with Foul Legacy, and playing with the otters because theyre so chill not even the big mothman can scares them

YES YES YES YES you cannot FATHOM how much i want to swim around Fontaine with Foul Legacy,,, he technically uses a Vision so he should be able to breathe underwater right? right??? he's right at home in the water, too, and the bright Fontaine seas are so different from the tainted Abyss that he's used to. it's a bit harder to keep an eye on him- he sees something shiny and he's off like a bullet, cutting through the water and twirling around as you struggle to keep up. it gets to the point that you keep a hand in his fluff at all times so when he swims off, you're pulled along with him. he doesn't mind at all, though!! in fact, if you wanted to hold hands while swimming you'd have a very happy and enthusiastic moth at your side

oh the otters absolutely LOVE him. all the other sea creatures are a bit wary of him (partially because he's big, partially because the Abyssal energy frightens them) but the otters don't care. they adore him, swimming around his feet and weaving in and out of his fluff- they bring him seashells they think he'll like, or ones they have trouble cracking open. Legacy's considerable strength means that he can open any seashell with little effort so the cute otters can have dinner!! they take a liking to you as well, and happily follow you and Foul Legacy around as you swim. sometimes if he gives one of the seashells to you, the otters will do cheerful flips in the water, knowing that they just helped him give you a courting gift <33

Hi hi! My lovely friend @gamingwithsydney tagged me in her reply to this list of 20 questions for fic writers. Apologies that I'm only getting to it now! <3

Tagging others is a bit daunting, so instead I choose to tag whoever ends up stumbling upon this ^_^

1. How many works do you have posted?

Just checked, and apparently I've posted 31 works on AO3, and 1 to Tumblr, leading to an impressive total of 32! Wow, when did that happen? XD

As a oneshot writer with plenty of WIPs waiting for me, I'm sure that number will only grow higher before the year ends.

2. What is your total published word count?

Almost 14k on AO3! That's a lot more words then I imagined it would be at, to be honest.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Genshin Impact, Genshin Impact, and more Genshin Impact.

Or, that's what's posted at least. I've got a couple (read: MANY) WIPs waiting to be edited/lengthened that have been written for the Dead by Daylight, Monster High, Twisted Wonderland and Fable 2/3 fandoms.

4. What are your top five fics by Kudos on AO3?

At 37 Kudos we have Love You For Eternity an Eimiko drabble, followed by Like A Cute Stuffed Toy (36, Eimiko drabble), Romaritime (33, Part of Collei/Freminet Series), To Distant Shores (31, Part of Collei/Freminet Series) and Silver Threads Among The Night Sky (29, EiSara drabble).

My favourite from the above list would have to be Romaritime.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I do reply, most often aiming to overcome my anxiousness and respond within the same day of the comment! While I write with the understanding that I am the audience I wish to reach with my works, it's nice to see that there are others out there who share the same interest in fandoms and love for characters that I do.

I like engaging with fandom to meet new people and create strong connections, so each interaction is greatly appreciated and cherished.

6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I like my angst endings implied rather than explicitly shown, so I think that leaves my FocaFuri drabble Her Prophecy with my angstiest ending. Typical Fontaine shenanigans, I'm afraid.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Romaritime has a happy end, I feel! Some cute but awkward interactions between Collei and Freminet. There's also my Yelan/Emilie drabbles — My favourite being Little Gift By My Pillow — which all have happy ends. I like soft Yemilie.

8. Do you get hate on your fics?

If I do, I'm unaware of it 😜 I don't really think a hateful comment or bookmark would effect me too much, honestly. As I said, I write with the additional intention of serving as my own audience, so if someone does not enjoy what I have to offer then I must kindly redirect them towards the Back button.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I don't... Yet.

There's no plan to explore smut writing anytime in the near future, but it's certainly not off the table! Ei/Kujou Sara have almost tempted me before, and smut ideas for Reaver/The Hero of Bower Lake from Fable 2 have been floating around in my mind.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

I don't post crossovers, but I've got a couple notes for an EPIC: The Musical/Genshin Impact series. I don't think this will be seeing the light of day for quite a while though, unfortunately. Otherwise, if I were to write other crossovers I think I'd either want to explore Descendants/Twisted Wonderland, or Dead By Daylight/Fear & Hunger.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not to my knowledge!

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Again, not to my knowledge XD

As far as I'm aware, my works are only available on AO3 in English. I am open to translations though, as long as I'm properly credited and informed through any of my social medias.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Nope. Co-writing wouldn't really suit my way of writing, but if I were somehow able to find someone who follows the same writing process as myself, I'd love to co-write a Genshin fic one day. Maybe something Collei/Freminet. Perhaps something to do with this Pirate AU idea I've had for awhile. Dunno!

14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?

Oof, that's a difficult question! I think I'll split them by fandom, as choosing just one is much too hard.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Either that EPIC: The Musical/Genshin Impact crossover, or the Genshin Impact Pirate AU idea. Although, now that I talk about that Pirate AU, some more ideas are coming to me... Hm... Mermaid Freminet...

16. What are your writing strengths?

My writing stamina has gotten pretty strong over the years, and I greatly cherish my ability to draw out inspiration from quite nearly anything.

I also quite like that I no longer feel an ounce of shame in my interest towards writing fanfiction, and instead embrace my creativity with welcome arms.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

As of right now, I'm pretty happy with my overall writing style. If I had to choose some things that could either be improved or be explored in another way, I think my dialogue could flow smoother? Maybe include more metaphors in descriptive scenes? I've always liked more flowery prose, so if I were to revise my own style and pick apart "weaknesses", it would be to achieve that.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I don't think I've written dialogue in another language, but I believe that if I were to try, I'd almost certainly need to have someone who knows the language that I could turn to and ask for help.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

My first ever fandom written piece was actually for the Creepypasta fandom over on Wattpad, back when I had a big fat crush on Eyeless Jack. While it's been taken down, I still have it saved in multiple folders so I can look back and awe at baby Shrimply's writing.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

In terms of published works, I'm rather fond of Romaritime (Collei/Freminet) and She Fears Not The Weather, She Fears Not The Sea (Eimiko).

In terms of yet-to-be-publushed works, I'm writing a oneshot that I absolutely adore on how I think Kieran and Spelldon's (Monster High) second encounter would go :D

Navia was talking about something, animated, hands flying through the air, a sunny smile even if it was far past sunset.

Clorinde really tried to understand what happened in Chiori's boutique while she was at the mission at the outskirts of Fontain. But duelist lost herself to the sound of Navia's voice, her twinkling eyes and the feeling of finally being near her again.

"Clorinde!", Navia pouted beside her, tugging her sleeve. "Do you even listen to me?"

"Sorry, I was blinded by your brilliance for a moment. I apologise", it pulled a startled laugh out of Navia. She swatted at Clorinde's hand, but then left her own here.

Clorinde counted Navia's every laugh as personal victory. So many years all she heard was her pain and suffering. So now when they entered this tentative friendship? ...courtship? Clorinde would make sure not to mess up everything again.

So she squeezed small hand, feeling callouses from Navia's axe and making note to herself to gift her some salve later.

As they continued to stroll streets of Court of Fontaine now in pleasant silence, hand in hand, Clorinde recalled memories of their past. When she struggled to say what's on her mind and thought she had the right to choose what to say to Navia and what not to, when expectations of everyone else was pressing down on her feelings. When Navia grabbed her hands with tear-soaked face and crazy eyes, begging her to explain why her father wasn't moving anymore. And when Clorinde's silence broke the last trust between them.

So looking at lively Navia by her side, Clorinde couldn't help the small kiss to the back of her hand. There is no way she would let her go now that they are together at last.

Navia hid a pleased little smile by looking at the stores they passed by.

"Do you want to come to my place for the cup of tea?" Clorinde didn't get ahead of herself. She knew that it was an innocent suggestion born from the unwillingness to part ways after a pleasant evening. But still duelist felt a shiver rattle everything inside of her, even if she remained calm outside. Because Clorinde remembered their shy explorations, made in the darkness of Navia's room back when they were too young to know what they were doing.

"Of course. Have you thought I could say no to you?"

"You are surprisingly bold tonight, aren't you?" Navia smirked even if her face gained a couple shades of red.

"I'm just telling the truth", Clorinde shrugged, guiding them towards Fleuve Cendre. "I am finally brave enough to say things like this out loud".

Navia just tugged her to the entrence.

Navia put some light song on her gramophone, waltzing to the kitchen to put the kettle on the stove. She always liked to dance, trying to rope Clorinde into it too. Duelist always declined, not feeling confident in her moves despite being physically capable.

But the sight of Navia carefully swaying as she readied the sweets, murmuring to the song, Clorinde's heart clenched painfully in her chest. How many moments were lost just because she was too shy.

So she strided across the room, grabbing Navia's hand and spining her from the table right into her arms.

Fortunately Navia managed to let go of the plate of macarons before it happened, but she was still a bit confused and breathless coming to the stop with her back pressed against Clorinde.

"What are you-?"

Before she could finish, Cloringe led her into series of steps, moving around small kitchen with the precision of top shooter. Upbeat song didn't leave Navia a chance to ask her again, but soon enough it wasn't important anymore.

Free, happy laugh poured from Navia, while she tried to keep up with Clorinde. And to the end of the song she smirked while singing along just shy of being too loud.

Clorinde let her face soften with all the magnitude of her feeling for the Navia. And twirling elated Navia, Clorinde suddenly saw it.

Them, ten years later, dancing in the kitchen. Navia with the smallest wrinkles in the corners of her blue eyes but still radiant in the dim light of the room. With a thin gold band on her ring finger, matching Clorinde's silver one.

Clorinde draw a shaking breath, squeezing Navia's waist, pulling her even closer. She dropped her head on Navia's shoulder, not able to contain a wet laugh.

Perhaps it was too soon to think about a life together. But one day. One day for sure.

"You 'right?" Navia asked, panting against Clorinde's hair.

"Yes, I am. I just thought... I just thought that I wouldn't want it with anyone except you".

"Oh, Rin..." Clorinde felt Navia's hand drawing calming circles on the small of her back. "I wouldn't do something like this with anyone else either. And I appreciate your honesty, darling".

Clorinde was nothing if not determined.

So she gathered all her remaining courage to look into Navia's eyes once more to finally share her most guarded secret.

Something along the lines I didn't stop loving you and I'll make it right if you still want me.

But seeing Navia meet her halfway, it seems she already knew.

Subject: Random headcanon regarding Alhaitham, Kaveh and Mehrak!

I find Mehrak to be very cute (it's quite a shame that I don't get to use Kaveh all that much because of how I don't have all that many hydro characters to help him with the bloom reactions)

But anyways, I decided I wanted him on team while I explore Fontaine (Raiden's banner starts soon and I'm not having all that many fates, I really want her but then Nahida's rerun should be like next ver since all the archons are getting reruns— ugh but I don't have primogems!!!! Anyway, I digress hehe)

So, Mehrak, the cute little toolbox, looks like a fun little floaty companion (much like Paimon is to the Traveler minus the fact Mehrak doesn't talk) and it made me wonder: does Mehrak float around the house or does it just lie around somewhere in Kaveh's room?

It made me think of how a roomba is, moves around the house doing its thing, plus is effortlessly cute!

So like, what if whenever Kaveh's busy pulling an all-nighter, Mehrak gets him coffee every now and then? Y'know like how Mehrak can hold Kaveh's claymore during combat, it must also be able to hold a pot, pour some coffee, and deliver the mug to the sleep-deprived architect, no?

Or or or, Alhaitham, randomly having awoke during the night because he heard something break somewhere in the house and upon inspection finds a mess of broken glass and spilt coffee in the kitchen. The culprit? Mehrak who's floating, panicky and with a sad little >< face (Kaveh either rushes into the scene worried that Mehrak might have gotten hurt(? damaged? you get it) or he's fast asleep in some awkward position at his desk and didn't hear the sound)

What if! Kaveh goes out without Mehrak and returns back to find his toolbox sulking in the corner hehe (or maybe it would come zooming up to Kaveh and gives him a little bump, like you know how dogs come rushing up to you and how cats rub against you?)

Maybe when Kaveh's too busy, Mehrak will float up to Alhaitham as he does something (work or simply reading), and will float around him, maybe bored? maybe wanting attention? Like how cats just won't let you work lol

Aaaaandddd!! Imagine either Kaveh or Alhaitham just doing stuff and they turn around and Mehrak is floating there with a cute little curious look and it gives them a bit of a scare everytime because lol you can't hear footsteps if no one's walking

okay i still need to do her sq ( tomorrow's job! ), but some furina cliffnotes for how i want to approach my portrayal just as a heads up:

so i'm purely just writing furina, not focalors. i may entertain the idea of an AU or verse depending on how any plotting might develop, but aside from the fact that furina is focalors' human counterpart and the two undoubtedly bear similarities, furina still had 500 years to develop her own ( if flawed ) sense of self without any intervention from focalors whatsoever, so the two are certainly different entities in my mind.

i'm gonna be a lil picky about shipping ? i'm not opposed to it but honestly i think what furina needs above anything else is a friend lmao. i think she's going in the category with flint & villanelle where i'll probably only ship her if i know you well or if it happens organically through writing/plotting. also i don't ship her and neuv, i love their dynamic but platonically pls lmao.

as i say, i haven't done her SQ yet but i can kinda tell from the 4.3 event ( and ambient NPC dialogue ) that it seeeeeems the general consensus is that furina gave up her powers to stop the prophecy or some variant of this story is told to explain why she is publicly tried for being a fraud and then... doesn't die when the oratrice determines she should die via death penalty ? and just leaves the palais mermonia to live in a swanky apartment in town ? i am happy to roll with that or some variant of it ( i feel like sometimes genshin's quests are tied up a little too neatly and conveniently ) although i am also interested in exploring ramifications for the fact that the trial likely left furina's reputation in tatters and with a lot of ambiguity as to whether she's "guilty" or not and whether she can continue living in fontaine.

in that vein, i also want to explore a potential exiled verse, which is likely how i'll manage to cross her into other regions and over into other universes ( hi, if you don't play genshin and i've talked to you about furina, i am about to make her your problem lmao )

I can't relate to people saying they burned out on sumeru update because alhaitham and kaveh basically brought me back to genshin 💀💀 otherwise i wouldn't be playing until today LOL

I keep seeing comments on yt about coming back because of fontaine and thinking inazuma was the best ever but when i tell you i burned out so fast after enkanomiya because enka was basically the only thing that kept me interested after kokomi's first banner (yes im a day 1 kokomi haver, basically downloaded genshin and started playing for KOKOMI LOL) and the pandemic happened and it was ayaka/or yoimiya/or someone i forgot who banner forever and ever and i hated exploration in inazuma compared to liyue.

I was super into dragon lore (if me back then were alive today she would be so happy), i was into teapotting (same as stated in prior brackets), i was into a lot of stuff in genshin then i kind of gave up because eventually nothing else was interesting other than the gacha pulling. (Like i was super into Ayato and Thoma for A While) and those were mostly bc my one irl persevered when I couldn't.

My one irl who was super into genshin during that time (and has now given it up in exchange for hsr) brought me back thru interest in alhaitham and then eventually my own obsession over kaveh and how relatable he is esp with my irl job/career. And honestly he's still kind of the reason i'm playing HAHAHA Navia is a pretty good reason too. My two blonde blorbos. I'm saving for her weapon and then after that..... idk. I think i might take a break for natlan honestly.

I think its not great of me to say the only thing i was looking forward to when the fontaine update came out was the swimming and faranak npc (which never ended up happening so whatever) but yeah, i'm glad i could enjoy furina (she wasn't annoying to me at all 😭 the early phase where everyone hated her was so crazyyy) and subsequently navia because !!! The reason i liked genshin was the aesthetics (kokomi was pretty ok ok ok ok ok)))))

i’d consider myself a “fixer” type so usually i go for characters or even people irl that struggle with different things, usually feel unloved to some capacity, because i want to show them love and care that they probably haven’t had before and make things better for them. i care about the people i love more than absolutely anything.

usually i go for girls that are cute and kind of anxious because i like taking care of people and making them feel safe. for guys i either like sweet “boy nextdoor” types or guys who are like . really messed in the head that i can take care of and be that special someone to them.

Furina isn't easy to read. Just like you she doesn't open up easily. There's a high chance you'll open up before her! She likes how logical you are as you help her keep her head on her shoulders. She knows she can count on you and it makes her feel so happy to finally have a rock to rely on during her hardships. When you finally talk about your own problems she'd be so happy as it's a big step for you. She may not give the best solutions but she's the best support you could ask for.

Your couple is a rather cute one. Here you have one that's as cool as a cucumber and then the short one that's basically a ticking bomb with many layers. Seems dysfunctional but it actually works very well. Furina likes exploring Fontaine with you and doing all the things she couldn't do while she was an archon. You two are gonna have a lot of fun and just as she'd learn to heal you'll learn to love.

Blade is difficult as he doesn't really strive to better himself. You'd have to leggit fistfight him for it. But once he finds someone he wants to settle with he'd calm down and accept to get some help. You'd be the only person he'll confide in so I hope you're ready.

Despite all of this, Blade does his best to be a loving boyfriend. He'd express it through actions like remembering your favorite things and being your personal bodyguard. He's always here to listen but he's not that good at comforting. It's a rather new situation for it and he feels guilty that you got a cursed being like him....yeah I hope you're a good fixer.

Felt like sharing that I've been in the process of finishing up Genshin content I skipped over. Especially Chenyu Vale exploration. Felt like a chore doing it when it came out so I pushed it to a later point when I'd actually enjoy it. And what can I say, I'm almost through with it now after two longer sessions and I've been loving it :)

After playing a game like Rebirth, Genshins casualness (?) is so refreshing and welcoming, it felt like a warm hug. The last few weeks I only ever did dailies and farmed through resin and logged off because I was busy with other stuff. Now I have the time to enjoy it again, and I feel so happy about it. It makes me so excited for the new map areas in 4.6.

Chenyu Vale exploration probably felt kind of nostalgic and welcoming because there'a lots of small puzzles and mechanics that are similar or the same as Liyue pre-2.0 which now feels so nostalgic to me. The weird bubble flowers that you have to shoot? Placing geo monuments on pressure plates? Count me in.

Also love the "weird" hidden chests that are also so old Mondstadt and Liyue. Like wdym there's a weird digging point that you can click repeatedly and ore chunks come out until it explodes in your face BUT you get a chest at the end :) Following trails of pinecones to caged in Simulacrums (these Treasure Hoarders really just do anything). The ruins were also just such a callback to old Liyue :( I was so happy throughout idk.

I alsl finally figured out how the Chenyu Vale exclusive exploration mechanisms and puzzles work. You know, the teapot (?) things and the light lotus in the water (or so). What can I say, it's been a breeze. The Vale is just so beautiful...

But it did get me to think... it is a part of Liyue, yet it looks so different... it's so green/blue/turquoise and the rest of Liyue is gold/yellow. Like... all of it. And ofc that's still pretty! Been loving to see the silhouette of the Jade Chamber or the other adepti abodes in the distance. But you can definitely see that the dev team has come a long way. I can't wait for Mondstadt to get its Dorman Port expansion :( I've got a feeling we're only gonna get that before Snezhnaya comes out during the 5.x patches, since it's probably gonna be very close... but I'm so happy that Mond will get attention again. I've already loved the events this patch, the potions one and the one with the cats. They definitely haven't forgotten about it! They keep on teasing the place names in characters dialogues so casually...

ANYWAY (is it obvious that genshin is a huge hyperfixation lf mine I could talk on it for HOURS) I have like 10% exploration remaining in all areas of Chenyu and I'll probably finish it within the next few days. I also still have Lynette'a hangout to do and a bunch of smaller world quests in Chenyu. Then my vault of primogems will be ripped open for Arlecchino <33 Will talk about her so much after her quest and listening to her voicelines about other Fatui members when she comes out. So obsessed with her lore. I have over 250 pulls waiting and I really want her weapon too... i'm kinda scared.

A good friend of mine who was the reason I started genshin to begin with also came back to the game after not playing since before Sumeru. We've been talking a lot about the game, she's in the process of finishing up all things Sumeru and we're gonna play together some time this week to get her coop achievements... and she wants me to summarize and explain the archon quests so far before she digs into Fontaine... welp. Anyway, it's just so nice to talk about everything wirh someone again, especially because we're on the same page what concerns all things genshin, be it lore, gameplay, critique or anything else. It's just nice sharing interests :)

Maybe I'll give some few thoughts after I actually finish up the area and did Lynette's hangout. Also maybe give some predictions on Arle's story or so.

Well, I actually finished on the 10th of July (aka this month) BUT I felt a little shame to just come on here and say that I had finished I was too embarrassed;; but how has everything been? I hope you’re staying fresh in this blazing summer (it’s literally like 115° every single day here it’s unbearable for me and my dog) and also making the most out of it! I’m dreading going back to school in less than a month I’m not ready!!! (Leaks mentioned: ALSO HAVE YOU HEARD OF A SUPPOSED NEW DOTTORE SOUNDTRACK? It sounds so good AND IT MAY BE A CUTSCENE kinda like Kazuha’s friend or Makoto’s in the Archon Quests! I’m really hoping we get more lore on our boo boo Dottore he’s just so interesting!!) I also just recently read a VERY lengthy character analysis on him and oh mygskkd. It really helped me get to understand Dottore as a character and how it disapproves of many misconceptions of himself. (Like being a sadist for ex.) if you ever want the link I can send it since it was on tt. And the day I’m writing this it’s Childe’s birthday, which ironically enough my mom also shared a birthday with him LMAO. (She’s only aware of this bc of how much I dawn over the chars 😭) and to answer your question from one of the recent brainrots I had made “who are you saving up for” I’m actually saving up for Zhongli cons! He’s at C0 rn but in hoping to at least get C2 or C3, but I also won’t be spending my almost 400 wishes on him since I really want a lot of the Fontaine characters, and I’m still hoping for Dottore to become playable soon 😭 (this is me trying to cope) but I hope you have a wonderful day and week!!
