Even made one for a potential cosplay, because ain't no way I'm making a chausable with no sewing skill.

Suddenly becoming active online feels pretty weird yet I can't stop 😅.

I'm one of those people who read fanfiction for years but never really knew what to say to the authors I adored. Recently I made it my duty to comment and tell them what I love about their work and show my excitement every chapter.

Similarly I absolutely love reading people's character analyses and theories in the fandoms I loved. I never felt smart enough to analyse things myself and didn't think I had much to add to the discussion.

I'm very surprised about the absolute brain rot I've fallen into from reading Fourth Wing and Iron Flame. I love the series, love Xaden in particular (been a long time since I've had such a book bf crush) and I suddenly have ALL the thoughts!!!

I'm an introvert on and offline so it's a very strange place to be in for me 😅. I hope I'm not speaking completely out of my ass and it'd be nice to be proven right about anything in the future lol.

Clove is such a sweetheart. When I was super excited to read their book and admitted I couldn't afford it at the moment, they let me use a free copy to still get to read it and review it once I'm done. I can't wait to finish it, I love it so far and am less than a chapter in! Thanks for being an advocate for the readers and not making me feel bad for not being able to afford your book 🩷

i swear to god when i put out an offer for people to review me as a person for my website i definitely was not aiming for compliments. i realized after the second nice response that it totally sounded like that. i definitely assumed more people would be implying i was the zodiac killer or something. in retrospect i don't really know why that would be my first guess of how all this would turn out.

uh yeah but like the reason why i'm taking my book off amazon (and really all my books in the future) is partially because i realized i can use alternative means to sell both the paperback and the ebook for cheaper and potentially wind up with just as much in royalties, if not more. the ebooks for all the songbird elegies are going to be pay-what-you-can on Gumroad, so those could also be potentially free if you want them to be! truly go right the fuck ahead, my friend!

i'm fully leaning into the creative flexibility of self-published writing, and i'm luckily in a position where i don't need to rely on it as a form of income. plus honestly if i do end up going back into copywriting or ghostwriting or something it wouldn't hurt to have a public record of people reading and engaging with my work, regardless of whether or not they paid for it. so when i say i don't mind giving away my work for free, i absolutely mean it.

also like reviews and word-of-mouth stuff is super valuable for indie authors. and honestly i spent a decade writing like twelve novels no one but me has ever even heard of, so even just hearing people talk about what they thought is truly such a thrill.
