I could've sworn I had them saved but I can't find them. But, I did do the work to find you the posts on Twitter. [Mint Eye Academy] was a Twitter Event that went along with Children's Day in 2020. It took me a while to grab all of these from Twitter because the website errors if you scroll back too far, and it kept bungling around October 2020 for me so I fought it and won.

Yes writers blocked kicked my ASS last year (aside from squealing santa, i feel like i did ok with that one hehe) but I'm back with this lil fic.

I watched the Doctor Who specials FINALLY and I cried so many times omfg it was so good to see David Tennant and Catherine Tate back together again being lil chaotic besties through all of time and space, so of course I had to write something for it !!!!

And you are bearing witness to the magic of my adhd meds in action !!! I've been so productive in the last hour it's great !!! (EDIT: didn't write this in an hour, just to be clear. took me a little while but ADHD MEDS WORKED FOR BOTH TIMES YAY)

The bond between Donna and The Doctor was certainly one for the ages.

Human words couldn't do justice to the type of bond they had, at least that's what The Doctor claimed in his newer, more openly emotional regeneration. Their love was too strong for just the term of friendship, too close for anything romantically implied, too adoring to be siblings. Even the term soulmates had a particularly selective connotation to it that left a bad taste in The Doctor's mouth.

Nevertheless, it was clear they could hardly live without the other. There was enough love between them to power galaxies, and knowing their history neither would be surprised if it had.

And it was this closeness, this fierce tenderness, that led to discussions such as this. Displays of deep affection half-heartedly disguised behind harsh tones and disgruntled gestures.

"You may be a high and mighty Time Lord, but you're still an idiot." Donna huffed, as the TARDIS finally settled after takeoff.

The Doctor scoffed. "I'll try not to take that to heart, and I thought that escape went quite well!"

"YOU THOUGHT-" Donna stopped herself, breathing deeply to try and contain her shit that was threatening to lose itself. "The only reason we even STARTED to escape was because I PUSHED YOU TO THE EXIT!"

"Well yeahhhh..." The Doctor rolled his head, letting his eyes drift away from his companion's. "But-."

"But NOTHING." Donna interjected. "It's the same thing every time! You start running your mouth and saving the day, and that's wonderful, but you don't know when to stop!"

"Donna I-"

"Let me finish." She snapped, raising a pointed finger towards him and stepping closer.

The Doctor held his hands up in front of him with a gentle nod of the head.

"You drag yourself through hell, running and ranting and... and sonic-ing!"

A small snicker escaped The Doctor, but he straightened his face almost instantly after when her angry look didn't waver.

"You can't control yourself!"

He didn't dare argue.

"I always have to pull. your. arse. out.!" She accentuated each of the last words with a corresponding poke to The Doctor's torso.

And while she expected the pokes to help get her point across, she definitely was not expecting the almost childish giggle that spilled out of his mouth. Or the awkward jerk his body made to cover the ribs she had prodded.

But Donna wasn't stupid. She didn't waste any time in a state of surprise, no she jumped straight to (correct) conclusions.

"Oh no way." She grinned, creeping closer to the now incredibly flustered Time Lord.

"Now Donna," The Doctor began, his mouth twitching upwards in a nervous smile of self-betrayal. "You don't know what this is."

Donna gave a singular breathy chuckle. "Nice try sunshine, but you're not yapping your way out of this one."

"There are countless reasons why... why I would... flinch away from you like that!" He continued rambling.

"I know ticklish when I see it sweetheart." She smiled sweetly, though there was nothing sweet about the predatory glint in her eyes.

"What?!" The Doctor tensed, almost frozen in place at the mention of the word. Though quickly forced himself back into talking his way out of the situation in a faux-calm tone. "Uh, Doctor, Time Lord, no."

She smirked, stepping closer to him.

"Donna," she paused, reveling in just how much she was getting to him. "Human," she paused again, less than a few feet away from him. "Yes."

And then she lunged.

Her hands met his sides and The Doctor curled inwards, his arms tangling themselves in a fruitless effort to push her away.

For a moment, there was nothing but the sounds of Donna's fingertips clawing against the fabric of The Doctor's shirt, before he finally cracked.

Bubbly giggles spluttered out of The Doctor's chest as he folded forwards, allowing Donna to slip behind him and trap him in a bear hug. His knees slowly buckled, and (with no chance at keeping someone his height upright by herself), Donna followed his squirming body to the floor.

"Dohohohonnahaha!" He squeaked between bouts of helpless laughter, but her name was barely comprehensible amongst the childish noises she tickled out of him. "Ihihihi-!... wahahai-!... stahahaha-!..."

She chuckled, rolling her eyes as her hands climbed up into his armpits. "What was that?"

He couldn't reply with anything other than a squeal, writhing for a few seconds before his body finally submitted to the playful torture. He tried to splutter a few words out, but nothing could make its way through the torrent of giggles currently occupying his voice box. THe man had gone practically limp, aside from his hands which were still seized up like a tyrannosaurus rex.

"I never thought I'd see the day..." Donna shook her head in amusement as she skittered her fingernails around his collarbones. "That anyone would render you speechless."

"DOHOHOHON-! WAHAHAI-! IHIHIHI-!"

She laughed again. "Keep trying space man."

"IHIHIHI-! CAHAHAHA-!" He chortled, his hands suddenly free enough to slap themselves to his cheeks to cover his embarrassment.

"Whaaaat~?" She teased, rapidly poking him in one side while squeezing the other.

"IT TIHIHICKLES!" He somehow blurted out, before breaking into cackles as Donna transitioned to dual-hand squeezing. "DONNA PLEHEHEASE!"

It was Donna's turn to cackle, though hers was much shorter and much more controlled of course. "It tickles, does it? I had no idea."

Aside from the odd jolt when Donna hit a particularly sensitive spot, The Doctor had gone practically limp. All that laughter had fully sapped his energy, and he was leaning his back against Donna's chest to keep himself upright.

Taking her chance, Donna once again decided to change her position to further destroy the man. Sliding back from under him (taking care he wouldn't fall back and whack his head on the TARDIS floor - she wasn't that cruel), Donna pulled his arms from covering his face and stretched them above his head.

In his state of ticklish delirium, The Doctor didn't quite notice what was happening. Assuming she had finally taken pity on him, he focused on catching his breath with a stupid grin still stuck to his face.

That was until the moment her shins pinned his arms to the floor.

He locked eyes with her, now fully aware of just how screwed he was. With Donna kneeling above him, she had full access to the armpits she had assaulted with ticklish claws just moments ago.

"Nononono Donna you can't!" He begged, legs kicking wildly with every word. "You'll kill me!"

She shrugged, "You'll regenerate." before putting her typing skills to good use and pitter-pattering her fingertips against his underarms.

The Doctor clamped his mouth closed, thrashing his head to one side with his eyes screwed shut in a soon-to-be vain attempt to not react to the unbearable sensations radiating through his body. But even a mighty Time Lord could only hold out for so long.

After less than ten seconds (which The Doctor would later argue was a rather impressive length of time), he crumbled. The childish, high-pitched giggles returned and he was once again a mess beneath Donna's touch.

"Oh!" Donna gasped, slowing her fingers in response to the Doctor's slightly wheezy breathing. "And if you do regenerate, I'll be the first person ever to tickle two Time Lords!"

Aside from the occasional titter, The Doctor could finally gain control over himself again. He gulped mouthfuls of air as Donna climbed off his arms, and slowly sat up next to her.

"Not-" He panted, still more than a little out of breath.

Donna chuckled. "Take your time."

"Not tw-" His huffing interrupted again. "Not two."

She gave him a quizzical look.

"Even if I-... regenerate... I'm still the same... singular Time Lord." He corrected. "You've only tickled the one, and to be honest it happened a lot back on Gallifrey so you're not particularly sp-"

She barked a singular laugh, cutting him off. "God, you really don't know when to shut up."

His confusion turned to giggly panic when Donna pushed him back to the floor again and sat on top of his hips. "Nononono Donna not agAIN-!"

1. ARE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE?

My middle name is my great-great grandparents' surname. They immigrated from Vevey, Vaud, Switzerland around 1850. My mum and one of my nieces also have it as a middle name, and if I ever have a kid -- regardless of gender -- they'll have it as well. I used to hate it when I was a kid because no one where I grew up could either spell or pronounce it correctly, but now I love it.

2. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED?

I don't know exactly. I know I got drunk and listened to Beethoven a few weeks ago, so it was probably then. I find it cathartic, and will do it on occasion just for that release.

3. DO YOU HAVE KIDS?

Nein.

4. DO YOU USE SARCASM A LOT?

I tend to be rather dry as opposed to sarcastic.

5. WHAT SPORTS HAVE YOU PLAYED/DO YOU PLAY?

I'm reading this as asking which sports I've done in an official competitive setting outside of gym class, in which case, I've competed in: dance (ballet and tap); gymnastics; softball; basketball; orienteering; swimming; marathoning (and other road races); and I shoot pool. I, um, love sports.

I like scary movies, I enjoy happy endings, but what I really can't resist is a tragedy.

I can dislocate my shoulders and belch on command. I've got a pretty good head for facts and figures and do pretty well at trivia. I also do well at karaoke and drawing, and just generally being a consummate badass 😎.

10. WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?

I love puzzles!! Crosswords are my favourite, and have been since my grandmother taught me how to do them when I was little, but I also love jigsaw puzzles, word puzzles, rebuses, cryptoquips, sudokus, etc. You name it, I probably want to solve it. I also love travelling (I pretty much just save my money to travel), drawing, reading, running my mouth, pool (like billiards, not like beach), and going to restaurants and playing critic (I do this with breweries as well, but not as often). I love trying new things. I'll get too bored otherwise. I also just like wandering around.

11. DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS?

Not currently. Fishies would be relaxing. If I ever move to a larger place where I'd have space for a decent-sized tank, I'd look into having fish again.

12. ALL-TIME FAVOURITE PIECE OF MEDIA?

I had some smartass answer in my head when I sat down to start answering these questions, but it's left me now. Trust me, it was terribly clever and witty.

History and Human Anatomy and Physiology. I also adored Geography in middle school (it wasn't offered as a class in my district past that point, which is a real shame).

14. WHAT IS YOUR DREAM JOB?

As many others have said, I do not dream of labour. I just want to explore and be paid for it, lol. I did just apply for a job with a major airline, so, hopefully, that pans out as the position pays well enough and there are travel perks.

Being a pathologist would be wicked cool and suit me as well. Medical mysteries are just another puzzle.

Are you named after anyone? Yep! I'm named after Laura Ingalls-Wilder, the writer of the Little House on the Prairie books. My mom was obsessed with the books and the 70s TV show for some ungodly reason. Fun fact, I hate LHotP with every fiber of my being. I'm fine with my name though.

When was the last time you cried? Oh God, it's been a turbulent few weeks. Pick a time, I've probably cried. 🙈

Do you have kids? No. Wait, let me rephrase that. GOD NO!!!!

Do you use sarcasm a lot? I feel like this question is a trap. I want to speak to my lawyer.

What sports do you play/have you played? I am not a sports person. I guess I have dabbled in the sweaty arts for fun every so often when I've lost my mind, but I've never really played on a team or a in a league or understood most sports on a basic level. Is the Sims a sport?

What’s the first thing you notice about other people? Probably their voice and their tone and the way they ask me what I'm doing in their house.

Scary movies or happy endings? It really depends on what is meant by "scary movies" because I don't do gore at all. Like Saw and shit? Absolutely not. Absolutely. not. But I do like suspenseful supernatural horror movies as long as there isn't much gore involved. I think I prefer movies with happy endings given a choice between only these two but I wouldn't say no to a good old fashioned bittersweet ending.

Any special talents? I can whistle really well. I practice a lot when I'm alone. I don't whistle for other people often because, funnily enough, despite your skill level, people find it incredibly annoying. Actually maybe being annoying is my special talent? 🤷‍♀️ Also I can do this thing where I can vibrate my right face cheek (I have to specify for you freaks) and make a sound like a horse. It's only the right face cheek, not the left. I don't know why.

Where were you born? Virginia! We didn't live there long after I was born so I don't really remember it but I've also lived in North Carolina, Georgia, and South Carolina. Southern through and through!

What are your hobbies? Sims, writing, writing for my Sims, Sim-themed writing, procrastinating writing Sims stories, miscellaneous video games, crafts, complaining, jewelry making (I'm not good at it, don't get excited), researching cults, and fashion doll collecting.

Do you have any pets? Sadly, no. It's kind of a struggle taking care of one person on my income but I'm hoping to save enough to where I can get a kitty or two and be reasonably comfortable with vet bills. I really, really, really love cats. I'm an orphaned cat lady at the moment.

How tall are you? 5'2" (roughly 159 cm). Smol, but not too smol, right at shin-kicking height.

Fave subject in school? English. Honestly liking any subject in school was a struggle because I was homeschooled and my mother is The Worst™ but English and Vocabulary and Creative Writing were my jam despite her best efforts.

Dream job? Are we talking realistic dreams or unrealistic-obviously-never-going-to-happen-but-I-like-to-fantasize dreams? If it's the former, I'd like to be an editor. If it's the latter, I'd like to be a professional kitten-cuddler.

Eye colour? Light green, bordering on light blue, but still obviously green if you look close. Kind of sea green, I guess. I've always struggled to describe my eye color and other people do, too. It's weirdly in between green and blue. If I were to remove my glasses and stare at you like 👁👁 you could very clearly see they're green, but otherwise, with my glasses on just looking at me like a normal person, you would be forgiven for thinking they're light blue. I'm not trying to be ✨unique✨ or anything; this is just what happens when your mom has blue eyes and your dad has hazel eyes and genetics just gives the fuck up.

I was tagged by @bl-sims-anime, thank you so much for tagging me, your sims and stories are so awesome and I'm looking forward to reading and learning more about them. 💖 Among so many sims that @lea-heartscxiv and I have created, this time I'll choose Ryuuya Kitta from our "save" IcarRyu, since last time I chose one of our sims from our "save" JAKK. (Although it doesn't really go for separate saves since they coexist in the same savefile, but it's to understand me better).

My name is 吉田竜矢（きった・りゅうや）/Ryuuya Kitta, nice to meet you.

Are you named after anyone? A long time ago my mom got pregnant of me, she was the one who chose my name. According to my dad she said something like: Ryuu, honey. I've always told you how much I love your name and the way it sounds, haven't I? How about Ryuuya? Our little Ryuuya, with the kanji for dragon (竜) and the kanji for arrow (矢). I'm sure he'll be very strong and fast. My mom was right about me being fast but as for strength I don't think I'm that strong, my best friend Icaro is more stronger.

When was the last time you cried? When Icaro and I saw a movie, a cat died because a murderer killed it and I don't like it when people kill animals, so I got sad and cried, even though I only do it in front of people I know!

Do you have any kids? No, I'm still too young (I'm only 17 yo) to have them but I would love to run away soon with Icaro from my fathers and start our own family, as I feel overwhelmed that they are always so clingy to me, they could be called helicopter parents. Hear me out, I love my fathers they're wonderful, but sometimes are so annoying that they overwhelm me.

Do you use sarcasm? No, I try to imitate people in order to appear more "normal", but sarcasm is something I have a hard time understanding, I don't know if it's because I'm autistic or just because it's something I'll never understand without any deeper explanation.

What’s the first thing you notice about people? Their voices, I have a hard time remembering people's faces, but for me the voice is something easy to recognize.

What’s your eye color? Brown, a rather vulgar color from my point of view.

Scary movies or happy endings? I love scary movies, happy endings don't exist, only the movie ends, if you think about how their lives continue after that happy ending, it can end up being the opposite because only the movie ends, not their lives. I think sometimes maybe I'm too pessimistic.

Any special talents? Special talents? Talent? Playing the piano, I learned it in school. For now it's the only one I know.

9. Where were you born? I was born in Komorebi, but now I live at Evergreen Harvor on an apartment (Obviously with my fathers because I don't have a lot of money but I live at apartment next to Icaro, so I guess it's not too bad)

10. What are your hobbies? I really love music, nowadays I love astronomy too, thanks to Icaro who tells me about it every day because he loves astronomy since was little. Oh, of course I love legends and mythology too and also love fashion, I would like to wear at different styles and get different hairstyles, but I'm not very good at it, my mom was but she's now taking care of me from the stars, and my fathers are very traditional when it comes to clothes and hairstyles, so if they saw me wearing something didn't like, they would be upset. Another reason why I wish I could already have my own life. Oh, I almost forget it I also love to make cosplay as my favorite characters or of people who make awesome costumes or who for me are really an inspiration, like Sora my schoolmate or Prompto, the friend of prince Noctis from the continent of Eos that I had the chance to see him once, he takes wonderfuls photos.

11. Have any pets? No, in the apartments we have we aren't allowed to have pets, but I'll really love to have cats, a lot of cats, because I really love cats, tho Icaro is like a dog, so I think maybe I have a human dog pet.

12. What sports do you play/have played? Baseball, I'm really good at it, but my fathers put so much pressure on me that over the years more than having fun it overwhelms me, so at the end I ended up quitting. I've also tried surfing and skateboarding thanks to Icaro, but it seems that I'm better at running than holding myself on a board, although that doesn't mean I won't try it again, because I would really like to have a personalized surfboard or skateboard with many cats as graffiti, yes, probably more because you can customize the accessories, but I'll always have Icaro to hold me if I'm going to fall, which sounds pretty nice. Although I must clarify something, games where the ball is the main focus such as soccer or basketball among others, I'm not good at all. Running and using the ball are not my strongest suit. In the case of baseball it's different, because I can analyze where the ball will go and hit it with the bat or throw it with spin so that the opposing player can't hit it, that's why I liked it so much.

13. How tall are you? The last time I measured my height I was 1.67cm/5' 6".

14. Favorite subject in school? Music, I love to play piano at school.

15. Dream Job? I would love to be able to work on something awesome, but I'm an ordinary person so I would just like to be able to live day to day. Icaro's cousin Marena would like me to be her model in the future, because she wants to be a designer and likes to see how I try on the clothes she makes, but I'm not so sure, I don't think I have the personality of a model.

First Ship: oof, I don't remember! I can tell you that the first fic I ever wrote was about Seamus. His mum wanted him to become a Death Eater, I think?? It was mostly teenage angst, as I was, well, a teenager, and - yeah.

Last Song: Fresh Feeling, Eels. guess I need all the good vibes.

Last Movie: we watched Indiana Jones 5 because I'm a huge phoebe waller-bridge fan!

Currently Reading: Very invested in @unleashed-fest, although my severely-shot attention span isn't allowing very fast progress. What I read so far was BRILLIANT.

Last Thing I Wrote: *whispering* a fic for unleashed! Also I'm doing flufftober, a short, soft thing for every day so far (and SO impressed with myself for STILL going at it). Here's a link if anyone's interested!

Currently Writing: god, I, er. There are so many wips. My main goal is to get back to my WHUMPY fic, imperfection, but that might take a while.

The bold text fades from the screen to reveal the news anchor, slightly disheveled, but otherwise fine.

"Thank you for sticking with us, everybody," he addresses the camera with his usual made-for-tv smile. "I'm pleased to announce that the Magician has been taken care of, all thanks to our extra special surprise guest, Ms. Psychic!"

Ms. Psychic enters on cue, her brink pink cape billowing behind her in the non-existent wind and her long black hair floating up in the air as though she was underwater. Her movements are stiff and awkward as she shuffles forwards, and she regards the camera with the same sort of suspicious squint she might give to a misbehaving supervillain. Gravity seemingly takes a hold of her as she sinks into the seat next to the news anchor, and she has to brush a few rogue strands of hair away from her face.

"Um... hi." She gives the camera a hesitant little wave.

"Ms. Psychic has agreed to answer a few questions for us tonight!" The new anchor announces gleefully. "Are we ready to get started?"

"Sure." She nods slowly. "Let's..." Her voice catches in her throat. "Let's make this quick, please."

"Of course." The news anchor flashes her a smile. "Onto the first question."

1. Are you named after anyone?

"My mom was a small time superhero. She... well..." Ms. Psychic exhales sharply. "She died in action when I was a kid, and I took on her name as a way to honor her."

2. When was the last time you cried?

"I guess it was pretty recently. I mean... I try not to dwell on it too much, but fighting supervillains is dangerous, and... well..." She hesitates. "You can't always save everyone, you know? It's just... kind of hard to deal with that sometimes."

3. Do you have kids?

"No. I'm... not sure I should, either. I'd be risking some supervillain finding out about them and putting them in danger."

4. Do you use sarcasm?

"Sometimes, I guess."

5. What's the first thing you notice about people?

"Their voice. You can tell a lot about someone by the way they speak."

6. What's your eye color?

"They're dark brown."

7. Scary movies or happy endings?

"Happy endings, definitely. I especially love those campy old sci-fi movies."

8. Any special talents?

She has to think about this question for a moment. "Um... I can bench press a hundred and forty pounds."

9. Where were you born?

"I was born and raised right here in Metrovale."

10. What are your hobbies?

"I don't have that much free time for hobbies. I guess I like going to the gym? It's good for stress relief, and I've got to stay in shape somehow."

11. Have you any pets?

"No. Like I said, I don't have much free time to devote to something like taking care of a pet."

12. What sports do you play/have played?

"I played softball when I was a kid. I really liked it, but I had to stop when my powers started manifesting. I was upset at the time, but it wouldn't have been fair to the other kids with the whole telekinesis thing, so..." Ms. Psychic shrugs. "It was for the best."

"I'm five foot two."

14. Favorite subject in school?

"I always liked science class. I think my favorite was biology."

15. Dream job?

"I've wanted to be a superhero ever since I was a kid. It doesn't exactly pay the bills, but I don't mind the side gig."

"And that was the last question," the news anchor says. "Thank you so much for joining us here tonight."

"N... no problem. Now, if you'll excuse me-" Ms. Psychic rises to her feet, her chair carefully pushing itself in as she takes a step back - "I've got some business to attend to."

"No, I am not."

2 - When was the last time you cried? "Rather rude of a question. An I was crying, it would be reasonable to ask, but otherwise? I prefer not to answer."

"No. Some of my subjects are like children to me, and I am responsible for all of them, but I have no biological children. We are all born from the same mother, after all."

"My words, when spoken in Even Chanting, can cause great destruction if left unchecked. It is better for me not to play word games."

5 - What's the first thing you notice about people?

"The feet. Its a habit, but when you can shapeshift any part of the body save for your own feet, it can be disorienting seeing feet that aren't that of a chicken."

"...My eye is composed of multiple colors. My sclera is red, my iris's are yellow, and I my pupils are also yellow. or I suppose I should say second iris, as they are not really inside the first."

"Why not both? Fear is necessary for relief to have any true value."

"I am excellent at being contradictory. Being a king requires you to be tolerant and strict, both compassionate and cold, both merciful and merciless. I would say I manage it quite well."

"In the dreams of people long dead and forgotten."

10 - What are your hobbies?

"Studying. Yes, I know you may find it boring, but I find learning quite fulfilling. I mostly learn Talmud, but I occasionally dabble in other philosophy as well. Human views on life are fascinating."

"No, and I have never understood the appeal of taking an animal from its native home and forcing it to become dependent on me for food and sustenance. Nor the lure of doing this on such a large scale that they cannot survive anywhere else. It is truly interesting where an individual mind chooses to draw the line between moral and immoral, yes?"

12 - What sports do you or have you played?

"Well, I made sport of that old fool Shlomo till the day he died, but I do not think that was what you meant."

13 - How tall are you?

"You are asking this question to a king of a race of shapeshifters. I suppose the closest answer I could conceivably give would be my maximum height, which I have not measured. I can confirm that I can become large enough to block the sun from reaching an entire castle. Yes, castles are different sizes, but the biggest one you can think of, I'm sure I can match."

"I never went to school."

"A Rabbi." "What? Surprised? Being king is a necessity, but if I could relieve myself of it to someone who I knew could do it well, I would retire to my mountain and happily do nothing but study the words of wise men and women long dead for the rest of my days."

For this one, I'm going to do Dr. Charoen Aten Panya because xe doesn't get enough love for how much I love xir!

1. Are you named after anyone?

Dr. Adair says no, but Rune called me "Roen" (Roan) growing up, which I think was their way of tying my name to theirs. But as beyond that, no.

2. When was the last time you cried?

Two weeks ago. I got into a disagreement with Marcie and lost control. It wasn’t a sad cry; it was an angry one I think.

3. Do you have kids?

It's complicated. Biologically, 4. Three of them I've never met. One of them I raised with my partner for the first few years before I left Athens. The second was born not too long after I left.

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

I don't think I do. I like to think of myself as a very blunt person.

5. What’s the first thing you notice about people?

How they approach me. Do they treat me like a friend or something to be studied?

6. What’s your eye color?

Brown like Dr. Adair. Rune had green eyes.

7. Scary movies or happy endings?

Happy endings. I've seen too many scary movies play out in my lifetime.

8. Any special talents?

I'm quite skilled with practical medical skills. It's something not common in Athens, but I see it more often outside. I've been trying to teach Marlowe some of these skills as well, as I won't always be around.

Other than that, it's taking out my cochlear implants and not listening to people.

9. Where were you born?

The Athens Zone of Safety. Specifically, in an apartment just west of the Chancellor’s Quad, formerly Myers Quad, because I came three weeks early and Dr. Adair couldn’t get to the maternity hospital in time. I moved when I was 6 to Rune’s new apartment off Baxter, then to Rune and Arie’s apartment when I was 10, in the same building I was born in.

10. What are your hobbies?

I consider my work my hobby. Research is fun for me and stretches my brain in all sorts of ways. Having another biogenetic specialist (Marlowe) to work with is always interesting.

11. Have you any pets?

I had a goldfish when I was 4 or 5. Rune bought it for me but Dr. Adair flushed it down the toliet while it was still alive. That was one of the last straws before they got a divorce.

12. What sports do you play/have played?

I was never the…athletic type. Rune played basketball though. They tried to get me to play a sport.

13. How tall are you?

5’4”. I take after Dr. Adair in that matter.

14. Favorite subject in school?

Sciences generally, but specifically anatomy. Rune and Dr. Adair both vetoed that, so I ended up studying biogenetics like a good researcher in Athens. (Also if you’re wondering what biogenetics is, it’s just specialization in both biology and genetics.)

15. Dream job?

Honestly, I like my job, save for the dangers. I think I’d like to have been a surgeon if I’d gotten the chance

5.What sports do you play/have played? i played peewee tee-ball at age 5. i sent a boy to the hospital on my first day 😎. i hit the ball straight into his gut... he shouldn't have been standing on the pitcher's mound if it's tee-ball. i tried out for softball in high school, but my school was a heavy competitor in their division rank and wouldn't take me because i hadn't been playing constantly all the way... they chose a different girl over me and lost the whole season (which made me gleefully happy bc she couldn't catch a ground ball to save her life). 👀 i get a tad petty when i'm bitter... lol. i didn't do much else except be super competitive in PE, also took ballroom dance (non-competitively). I picked up Ballroom again briefly in college for a semester, and then picked up Crossfit, and I've stuck with Crossfit since 2015, with only a brief break because of the pandemic years. So most of what I do is weight lifting, some endurance training, light to moderate gymnastic work, and power lifting. I just wanna be Mighty Mouse.

6.What’s the first thing you noticed about other people? Eyes/Facial expressions and tone of voice. I have a good/bad habit of sizing people up pretty immediately, and I don't tend to deviate from my initial opinions of people. They say you shouldn't judge people (don't judge a book...) but I got taken advantage of so many times as a kid by being altruistic and trying to push past initial feelings of why I didn't like someone. So if I don't immediately like someone... that's pretty much it. I don't engage more than I have to.

7.Scary movies or happy endings? happy endings, scary movies give me too much cognitive dissonance lol.

8.Any special talents? 😅 well i can do my cat's version of the bird chatter thing. so if i can't find him in the house, and he won't come when i call him, i'll make the chittering noises and then he comes running thinking i found birds.

Nope. So far as I know a lily was the first flower I was able to grow and I sorta grew it as a way to tell my mom that I trusted her after she saved me from a gargoyle that was trying to kill me.

Cricket! But really only so I can tease this guy I know about how it's just baseball with flat bats instead of round ones. Well, that's currently. I've played baseball, basketball, soccer, a little rugby, volleyball, badminton, boxing...I was on a wrestling team...and a hockey team...darts...I was a local ping-pong champion in this little cute town back in '38 that could've gone further if the mages hadn't identified me because of it...

UGH don't even talk to me about school. I've been in and out of school since the beginning of the 20th century and I am so over it. I mean...I might be going back to college soon, but...UGH if I never have to see another textbook until then it'll be too soon.

I went from running with my mom to being on my own and looking for my mom to actually finding my mom and all the insanity that's happened and I...Well I...I mean there's a chance that I might be doing something that I would love to be doing, but I wouldn't say it's a dream job. I never really had a dream job, you know? My dream was to find my mom. I...didn't really think of what life would be like after that. But I'm happy where I am now, you know? It's good.

1 - Are you named after anyone? Leon: No, not that I'm aware of. Edith: I am! I'm named after my great-aunt, who died before I was born.

2 - When was the last time you cried? [They look at each other like they're hoping the other will remember.] Leon: Midsummer? Edith: That was what I cried at, not when. But that was last week? Leon: I don't know when I last cried. Edith: You were crying at seal videos yesterday. Leon: That doesn't count. Edith: Doesn't it? Leon: [pauses like he's trying to think of a way out of this] Okay, fine. I last cried yesterday.

3 - Do you have kids? Both: We do! Edith: We have a son and a daughter, both adopted, because [she gestures between her and Leon, who is obviously not bovan] and our son is human and our daughter is ferasca.

4 - Do you use sarcasm? Leon: [sarcastic] No, never. Edith: [also sarcastic] Surely not.

5 - What’s the first thing you notice about people? Leon: Faces. I never forget a face. Edith: I'm always checking out their horns, except for everyone who doesn't have horns. Then I guess just their hair.

6 - What’s your eye color? Leon: Brown. Edith: They're brown, but they look black.

7 - Scary stories or happy endings? Edith: It's better if it's scary on the way there but still a happy ending. Leon: I don't really read for spooky stuff or happy endings per se. So, maybe both, maybe neither.

8 - Any special talents? Leon: Well, I'm a dupe witch—face specialty, if you didn't already guess. Edith: And I can tie cherry stems into knots in my mouth. [Leon looks at her straight face and laughs.] Leon: She's forgetting the part where she's not afraid of anything. I have personally seen her wrangle a venomous snake. Edith: Mmhmm, and the reason you saw it is you were gonna save me if I got bit. Leon: [shrugs] To be honest, in her place, I would have just got bit and perished about it.

10 - What are your hobbies? Edith: Reading, going to concerts, playing games—like, board games, but also video games, even though I'm not that good. Going for long walks around the neighborhood and bothering Leon at work. Leon: Eating celery as loudly as possible when she brings me lunch. Edith: Yeah. Leon: For me, also reading, going to the theatre, telling people the sword [he gestures to the mantelpiece] isn't for fighting, playing card games and such. Edith: Losing at poker. Leon: Shh.

11 - Do you have any pets? Leon: We used to, years ago. [He glances at Edith.] We haven't really talked about getting more. Edith: We already have one pet though. Leon: What pet? 12 - What sports do you play/have played? [They give each other a look that was apparently a shared joke.] Leon: I haven't played a sport stronger than a brisk walk in years. No, wait, that's a lie. It hasn't been that long since I could be arsed to play beach volleyball for ten minutes. Edith: I used to play every kind of contact sport I could get away with. Some things are just too dangerous with the horns, though. But anything that involved running around outside and climbing trees was my favorite.

13 - How tall are you? Edith: 5' 5". Leon: 5' 7". We've reached our shrinking era.

14 - Favorite subject in school? Edith: Mm…whatever they called the ecosystems class, because they'd always take us on field trips up the mountain, or to the middle of the woods. Leon: Would you believe I hated literature class in school? I liked history, at least as long as we were talking about the launch era. Believe it or not, I was not alive for that.

15 - Dream job? Edith: My dream dream job is something cool, like a sail racer or a park ranger. But I did really enjoy being a teacher before I retired. Leon: I think the job I have now has sort of turned into my dream job, because I just love talking about poetry. But I don't know. If I could be like my son and have a poetry shop somehow, that might be it.

No but I share the first and last name of a member of the current British royal family, so people probably assume I am named after her but it was an accident. My mom picked my first name because it is in a lot of songs and she wanted me to be able to be sung to 🥺

No. I always assumed I would and I think I still would like to but then I wonder if I just like the fantasy of it. I've done a lot of internal work and I was planning on working with kids for a while so I learned a lot about how to deal with them and I raised my cousins for a few years so I think I would be a good mom. But I also require alone time so I don't know how well that would work. Also I'm a millennial who can't even get a house so should I really have kids?

Are you named after anyone?

Kind of. My first name, Solana, doesn't come from anyone, but my middle name, Leto, comes from the goddess of childbirth and modesty. Maybe Phoebe will introduce me to Leto one day? I'd love to meet my namesake!

When was the last time you cried?

Yesterday at work. I was...Forced to do...Things I don't wanna talk about...Again. I'm Akai Starlight, an agency Vtuber with millions of subscribers, and I hate it. I hate working for VSweeties, and I hate all of the shit that my boss puts me through, but I can't quit until I find another job.

Do you have any kids?

No, and I don't want any. I don't like kids, and I know that some women end up permanently disabled from childbirth, so...Never happening.

Do you use sarcasm a lot?

A fair bit. It adds to my charm when I'm on camera as Kirameki Sunstone, my indie Vtuber persona. I'm hoping that Kirameki Sunstone will get me out of having to be Akai Starlight.

What is the first thing you notice about people?

Their eyes. I can instantly spot whatever someone's feeling in their eyes. I see way too much misery, boredom, and people trying to hide that they've been crying.

Blue and gold. I have central heterochromia.

Any special talents?

I'm good at singing, playing videogames, and entertaining an audience. I have to be, though, because I'm a Vtuber, and if I wasn't good at any of those three things, I wouldn't have my job.

Both! I'm into cheesy analog horror and slasher films, but I also love rom-coms. My all-time favorite movie is But I'm A Cheerleader, partly because it helped me come to terms with the fact that I'm a lipstick lesbian.

Brentwood, Essex, England. If you heard me speak, you'd know instantly that I'm an Essex girl.

No, but my girlfriend, Ariel has a cat.

Is that a serious question? It is? Oh, well…I wasn’t good at anything at school. I didn’t do well in classrooms, or on sports fields. I don't understand Shakespeare, I'm bad at math, can't balance an equation to save my life, and I'm no good at any sports. I’m 25 and I’ve never had to use a thing I learned in high school in my life.

What is your dream job?

Indie Vtuber. I don’t wanna be ultra famous, I just wanna be famous enough to be Kirameki Sunstone full-time instead of working for VSweeties.

[exhales] Maybe after a grandfather that I didn't get to know? My mother never talked much about our family. Maybe I'll skip this one.

Do you have any kids?

Yes! Allison just turned seven. She's just the best. [smiles]

Do you use sarcasm a lot?

When I do say something ironic or sarcastic, people tend to not understand me correctly right away... so I try not to. It's too awkward.

What is the first thing you notice about people?

Whether or not they're friendly.

What is your eye color?

Blue! Couple of baby blues.

Any special talents?

I used to play the piano. I don't know if that counts as a talent? [laughs] I do still play the guitar from time to time. And I used to sing.

Westfield Hospital, Massachusetts. It's the nearest hospital from my hometown Hillsburg.

Do you have any pets?

Sadly no! I would love to have a dog, but I don't have the time. I volunteer at Helping Paw – I don't think you've heard of it, it's a tiny dog shelter just outside of Hillsburg. We've got some amazing dogs there.

6'1. I'm told I'd be taller if my posture wasn't this bad.

What was your favorite subject in school?

English, if I had to choose, I guess. Loved the theater club though! I was even in a high school band! [laughs]

What is your dream job?

Tough question! I'd love to have my own shelter someday. But the job I'm working right now isn't too bad, so I don't think about... dreams, I guess. Aw, man, that sounds depressing! [laughs]
