Chaotic Co-Worker
Requested by Anon
Summary: Reader is a Spider-Person, and is best friends with Deadpool.
Idk what this is. But anyways, I'm alive. Hope you guys enjoy.
Miguel O'Hara
Both you and Wade give this man chronic, back-to-back migraines.
As soon as Wade somehow manages to get to the Spider-Society HQ ((*cough cough* he snuck in through a portal with you)), Miguel can't get five minutes to himself.
Miguel's been around the Multiverse, so he's probably encountered various Deadpool variants on his travels - and he claims that none of them were anywhere near as annoying as the one that you happen to be best friends with.
He basically just treats Wade like he treats Hobie - actively trying to ignore him and not lose his shit.
It only works 30% of the time.
Regardless of how many times he literally kicks Wade out, he always finds his way back in.
God help him if Wade ever gets it into his head that Miguel has a crush or something on you - I mean, you're Wade's best friend and probably would get up to some shenanigans with him... and you haven't been fired? Suspicious.
He would probably ask Miguel if there's a 'casting couch' involved when he does his 'interviews' for joining the Spider Society.
And he'd probably try to grab his ass.
Peter B. Parker
I think he would find Wade's antics funny, until he's on the receiving end.
Tries not to laugh when Wade's clearly pushing Miguel's buttons on purpose, but as soon as Peter starts being called Spider-DILF, he doesn't know whether to be flattered or weirded out. Or both.
Doesn't know whether Wade can be trusted around Mayday or not - I mean, Wade's not a bad guy and usually has the best intentions, but I can just see Mayday picking up some of his coarse language after hanging around him.
Probably would be as confused as Miguel when Wade keeps popping up out of nowhere - like, how tf does he keep coming back??
But all-in-all, I don't think he would really mind that much about Wade being there.
I mean, I'm pretty sure Miguel hired Kaine. So it takes a lot to shake Peter B.
Ben Reilly
Ben would instantly get annoyed when Wade mocks his broodiness.
And Wade being Wade, the fact that he got a reaction out of Ben would just fuel him more.
"Emo Ken Doll" is his new name.
I think that Wade's more brutal way of doing things would kind of pique his interest though - not that Ben would admit it since he'd still probably be annoyed at being the butt of his jokes.
It would also make him more interested in you by proxy - whether you're secretly similarly natured to Wade, or if you're complete opposites.
You'd know this, of course, because of his monologuing.
Ben: Deadpool is brutal. But he's their best friend. Hm, thinking.
Spider Noir
I think it would be 50:50 as to whether he and Deadpool would actually get along, at all.
On one hand, he'd get annoyed when Wade insults him - especially when Wade called him Nicholas Cage, despite neither Noir nor you knowing who he was on about.
But on the other hand - Noir canonically likes punching Nazis and isn't opposed to violence, so him and Wade would probably find some common ground there.
Since the Deadpool from the movies lost Vanessa, but did everything he could to protect her, I think Noir would sympathise with that - he's from the 1930's, so those old-fashioned ways of looking after your partner really resonate with him a lot.
Basically, Noir would either hate him, or they would be the most unconventional friends that you'd ever see.
Jonathan Ohnn / The Spot
**[Contains some spoilers]**
Okay, so depending on which version of the Spot that you two encounter, really determines his reaction.
If it's Jonathan, or the initial version of the Spot we meet in ASTV, he's arguably more tame in his reaction - I mean, you're a Spider-person, so he's going to be annoyed straight away.
And Wade would most likely give him some verbal taunting and 'mild' abuse.
He'd just be like >:( ... well, he doesn't actually have a face so it would just be a squished 'O'.
But if you two were to encounter him after he went to the collider in Mumbatan...
If it's one of those BookTok scenarios where he secretly likes you, then you'll probably be fine...
But he realistically would try to kill you. And Wade... and would be equal parts fascinated and annoyed when he can't kill him due to his healing factor.

I have a hard time voting in any "who would win in a fight? X or Deadpool?" polls because I'm too much of a nerd to answer without more information...
What ruleset are we using?
A serious, no-jokes fight? Deadpool's biggest edge is that he's the ultimate persistence predator - he can just keep coming back. His target has to avoid or defeat him every time, but he only needs to be lucky once. Unless his opponent is ALSO functionally immortal, he'll win eventually (...or he'll forfeit. He can be the KING of petty grudges, but just as likely he'd decide it ain't worth it, so it's a toss up).
Or is it "rule of comedy?" In that case, Deadpool probably loses every time. So much of his brand of humor is him fumbling or cracking wise as he gets the shit kicked out of him, when his bravado blows up in his face. It would be FUNNIER for him to lose to, say, the Powerpuff Girls - so that's how it'd go.
(I think Deadpool vs Saitama of One Punch Man - whose humor is based on his constant failure to find ANY opponent he can't beat in one punch - might be an actual stalemate. A superhero version Bugs Bunny vs Daffy Duck.)
...or are we just being as meta as possible? In that case, the only correct answer is "whoever the writer wants to win." ...that's a boring answer that feels like being a real killjoy though, heh.
Idk, I think "who would win??" questions are interesting! I've just very seldom had a chance to ramble about them with people willing to also treat it like just a fun creative prompt - not a "defend your fave at all costs" argument.
I just want a story that's interesting, I expect my favs to lose sometimes. I'm a comics fan, not a sports fan.

Ayyyy who are your blorbos from marvel? I collect a new one every once in a while from the same fandoms and just sigh and add them to the collection. Gotta organize them somehow🤷
AKDJLKDJ ME LOL
Ok, well there's like two categories tbh. One's that I just generally enjoy, and one's that got me feeling some type of way 😭✋🏻
Characters that I just think are kind of cool would be like:
Ghost Rider
Black Hand
Punisher
Daredevil
Gambit
Jubilee
Cyclops kinda lol
Characters that I like.... like like. Oof 😭
Comic book Wolverine, very specifically. Idk, I like his weird hairstyle and he's smoll 😭
Sabretooth
The Doc
and skjflsdjfdkj, y'all are going to bully me for this but slslslls I can explain 😭😭😭
I do kinda be liking Toad tho 😭😭
Honestly, this is just classic me and my like "laughably ugly british man" thing, but also this guy seriously has like the worst case of "kicked puppy" syndrome I have literally ever seen, and y'all know I'm weak for that stuff 😭😭😪 Everyone hates this man, he's like a joke to every single other person around him, just tbfh skskks.
Which is... kind of weird imo ????
I mean, he literally can spit corrosive acid of the highest order plus paralyze an opponent just by touch, which means that like... effectively speaking, this guy could "defeat" pretty much anyone with porous skin, particularly I'm thinking of the like basically invincible characters like deadpool and wolverine ect. If all he has to do is get close enough to lay hands on them, then boom, you're done tbh. You could at least take them out of a fight long enough to detain them with a tactic like that, so all I'm saying is I think my man deserves a little more credit then magneto's like... door mat 😭
#AKJDKJSFKSD SORRY THIS IS SO LONG#But I must speak 😪😪😪#thanks for the ask btw!!!#asks#sabertooth#wolverine#doc ock#toad#yeesh but 😪 there he is 😪😪

What character that you’re writing do you most identify with?
Perhaps this is going to sound strange or narcissistic even... but whoever I tend to be writing at the time? ^_^;; Since I'm just writing for fun for myself anyway, I think I naturally gravitate towards creating fanwork for characters that I can empathize with on some level, or at the very least, explore the parts of their personality that resonate with me. I think that's why I tend to use some of the same themes or ideas (even if the plots are different) or come back to the same core characterization when building a story.
Four example, four of the characters I've spent the most time writing recently are Peter Parker, Wade Wilson, Matt Murdock and Foggy Nelson. All pretty different characters, but there's something about each of them that pings with me. For Peter, it's that constant hum of anxiety he has about needing to be doing more, putting his own needs on the back burner to take care of others. For Wade, it can be feelings of outsider-ness, feeling like you have a specific value to those around you, but aren't needed outside of that. (And oof let's not get into body image stuff!) With Matt (especially TV characterization) there's the idea of having to be self reliant and doing everything on his own even when there are people around willing and ready to help. And then Foggy has that "only sane man" vibe a lot of the time, or at least what resonates with me is the feeling of having to keep a level head when people around you are having much more dramatic and unstable moments. None of these things are the SINGLE defining characteristic for any of these characters, but they are the things I think I tend to zero in on because I "get" it, and I think I'll be more effective at exploring those themes in a fic.
What character do you have the most fun writing?
Gosh... You know, I think probably Deadpool? Which is a shame, I don't think I do enough of it. I think it's just easier for me to make myself laugh when I'm writing him. I will go back during editing and go, "yeah, that's still funny" and it makes me smile.
What do you envy in other writers?
The ability to craft rich, lush descriptions. I think it just comes down to how my brain works. I think when I try to describe things (even in speaking) I fall back on the idea of shared experiences more than descriptive language. "I saw that sunset and it made me feel like (something relatable I can't think of right now)" as opposed to describing the blending of colors. I'm sort of having to force myself to do this now though, as I venture into the Daredevil fandom and have to try harder to explain things from Matt's point of view and how he understands things. I have definitely been overwhelmed while reading descriptions of things because I think, wow, in a hundred years with a hundred dictionaries, I would never have thought to describe mountains that way. But I think that's one of the neat things about writing.
What’s the story idea you’ve had in your head for the longest?
Gosh, this is dumb and it's been kicking around, I don't think I really want to write it anymore? Or if I did it would need some severe rewrites and an entire crew of sensitivity readers. But I wanted to write a comic book (or YA book? IDK) about a group of people who were "ordinary" in a world where basically everyone is augmented with some kind of super power, whether it's biological or cybernetic etc. It was like a rag tag bunch of misfits who all had various reasons for not being enhanced, but because enhancements are what are registered with the government, this essentially means that they don't exist. So they come together and form this little squad that operates off the radar to get shit done (mostly helping people that can't work within the system for reasons). They all had they own skills that would come in handy, but they were all things they had to learn and practice (although I remember a few of the members were neurodivergent but that helped them like a pair of twins with the same synesthesia that used it to develop an unbreakable system of code words between them and yes I know that's not how synesthesia works but also I came up with this idea like 20 years ago cut me some slack).

I'm a huge slutty gay for the "baby boy" pet name in your Spideypool ficlet.
oh, hi anon!! im so glad someone liked my spidepool outtake!! i’m working on a kinda bigger thing and idk if that scene is gonna make it but it happened after The Talk.
i really really like pet names and particularly the baby boy one sounds the right amount of flirty and endearing to me (English is not my first language so my perception can be a lil’ off but that’s how i feel).
but after Wade discovers that Peter is a minor and while their age gap isnt dramatic they are clearly in different moments in their lives, he tries his best to make Peter comfortable around him again
like this is a tentative set up after The Talk:
Wade stopped flirting. Or maybe it would have been more accurate to say that he stopped hitting on him. But he still swooned whenever Peter swinged towards a crime scene, gushed over him everytime he landed a particularly graceful kick to the head of a thug. Deadpool was still Spider-Man’s number one fan.
There were no pet names but nicknames. No sweethearts or honeys or baby boys, just Spideys and Webs and Web Heads.
Peter pretended he didn’t feel their absence like an almost palpable hole in his chest.
But their conversations never felt stilted or awkward. They still were a kick ass team, Deadpool knowing what buttons to press to get what he wants, Spider-Man a steading hand whenever they fall into a high stakes situation. They still fought back to back, still caught their breaths on rooftops eating too much Mexican food.
It was easy, comfortable.
Peter kind of hated it.
#my writing#spideypool#spiderpool#replies#thank you for enjoying my silly stuff!!!#this ask made me really happy#i could talk about this wip all night but i should write it and not like mess up the surprise#Anonymous
