Hello! We haven't really interacted before but I reviewed a Bleach fanfiction of yours a while ago, and I've loved your stories for the fandom! I'm sad that you no longer write for Bleach, but you've shared some amazing work, so thank you for that.
Just wanted to ask if you have any tips on how to connect more with other readers and writers, as it seems your conversations with other people in your fandoms bring a lot of joy and inspiration! While I wrote fanfiction in my teenage years, I felt very much like a fandom hermit back then but I'm coming back to it now many years later and want to actively engage with more people. I've joined some discord servers and am posting much more to twitter and tumblr, but I'm still pretty shy about messaging people privately as I feel like I don't really know what to say. I know it will take time, but any advice on how to get the ball rolling would be much appreciated.
Good luck with the writing!
Hi! I'm very glad you like my Bleach fics, and hey, being missed isn't a bad thing either ❤
(I do have one 80%–finished grimmichi fic that I'll put up on Ao3 soon-ish. The last chapter won't ever be written, but there's still some 28k of fluff and porn that ends on a fairly conclusive note on the emotional end.)
You're right that interacting with my fellow fans is a large part of what makes fandom fun for me. The community aspect of fandom is something that comes up a lot in conversations about why people flock to fandom, why they stay, and why they leave, and although I'm an introvert bordering on a hermit, the social aspects of fandom are its greatest draw. I write because I need to or I'll burst, but I share for the people here with me. That's not an uncommon attitude or experience. YMMV, but many of us want to connect with people who share our interests, and the level of creativity and commitment fandom inspires often thrives in collaboration and community.
How to get that sense of community is a trickier matter though. You're already in Discord servers, which seems to be the main fandom social space(s) these days. You're also on social media platforms where people can reach out to you or vice versa. So that's the basics covered. After that, it's largely a matter of organically developing relationships. But I do understand the hesitance to just roll up into someone's DMs; even though I have no issues with people popping up in my DMs, I also find it harder to initiate.
Plus, I've found that some sort of existing rapport gives you a better foundation when you do take the step into private exchanges. This can be Ao3 comment sections, Tumblr notes, or Discord group chat spaces. I tend to avoid Discord servers these days, but back when I had more tolerance for group chats, the people I met there often became closer friends. Mostly though, my pocket friends are people I met via Ao3 and, less frequently, Tumblr—fellow authors and readers in a specific fandom.
I know my regulars, here and on Ao3, and I've been a regular many times. Discussions in comments usually start out limited to the specific fic, but they can also include general fandom/canon stuff or even personal talk. Many times, you build a degree of familiarity with a person that way, and if the conversation moves to more private channels, you already have a shared base to build further conversation on.
So my best advice to find friends and like-minded fandom folks is to be active in Ao3 comments and Tumblr notes (...and whatever the corresponding thing is over on Xitter):
Reply to the comments on your stories and try to really engage with what your readers are saying. This is very much a personal preference, but the reason I try to reply with more than a generic "thanks" for longer, more in-depth comments is that, like I said above, nerding out with fellow fans is a huge part of why I love fandom. If people are already expressing interest in your story and you have a shared interest in canon, there's a lot of room there for fun conversations, even if they never go beyond one-off exchanges.
Comment on stories you like, and if you find specific authors you really love, let them know without reservations what you like about their takes and why you like them. One of my favorite commenting methods when I'm well and truly in love with something is to read everything once, then reread and leave longass comments on every chapter/fic. It's time-intensive, but I've never seen the effort go unappreciated. I've also been on the receiving end of this many times, and that's how several of my fandom friendships were born; one of my closest friends is someone I virtually kidnapped because I loved their tags on my JJK fic posts so much.
The above habits can be applied to Tumblr/Twitter too. Plus, there are plenty of people on such sites who engage deeply with fandom outside of fic writing. Be loud and proud about what you love. Sending a DM is an intimidating step, and not everyone will be receptive anyway, but most people welcome encouragement and appreciation. There are a lot of people I'm friendly with and fond of whom I've never interacted with directly, only via Tumble notes or asks.
I think all of this narrows down to being pretty generous when it comes to expressing your love for fandom and fellow fans. Won't always work out for various reasons, but as long as you're having fun, it's not wasted effort or time.

you have reached year 3
lissie: greetings! this is your flight director speaking~ welcome to the third anniversary of this blog. with so many changes in the trends of fics posted here and such, i'm surprised how this blog perseveres through it. first, thank you so much for reading, indulging, and/or interacting with this blog, me, or my works. the sentence before cannot describe the gratitude i'm expressing towards all of you.
second, i know updates are slow right now. much of what i promised from the previous november 15th didn't happen, especially terra incognita. many experiences have happened to me such as moving to a new country even for a short stay and my dwindling interest in the kpop fandom space in general with how i focused more on my other hobbies such as discovering new mediums. i would like to say that even with the minimal works posted here, i'm still gonna be here and write stories i'm proud of that you will be ready to read. i won't be quitting until i don't know what to write for these groups anymore. but, with art, it takes time to create something that i can be truly satisfied with, especially because i write novel-length works with intricate worldbuilding and narrative.
that being said, even if i'm not proud because i didn't meet the target that i wanted to meet, things still happened to this blog that i do believe has been the most growth i've seen now. and this is a yearly recap that allows me and you all to see the progress of this blog!
vvv
all research done (read: works written and released)
subterranean homesick alien | txt's soobin (52.7k [novel])
laurel hell | enhypen's heeseung (2 parts; 60.5k [novel])
besok mungkin kita sampai | enhypen's niki (13k [novelette])
total: 3 works (1 two-shots, 2 oneshots) and 126.2k words written
all the navigators connected (read: mutuals i got within the year. check last year's recap if you didn't find yourself!)
@galaxystardragoness (via @umbralhelwolf)
hello haru! i don't think we have interacted much other than things related to cult of dionysus network. i do have rb a few of your posts on my other blogs (fandom and random) so i'm very glad to see your posts on my timeline! cheers~
@14raeriluv
rae! genuinely, your tags make me remember that people do care about me outside of my writings. you've been a gateway to the other sides of enhypen fandom that i'm not in so looking into your blog helps me keep up with enhypen~ thank you for that!
@enluv
hi coco! i don't know if you're still lurking here, but hope you have a great time offline!
@seolboba
hey mako! you're the one who introduced me to a wider kpop oc community here on tumblr, alongside sof! it's been a long time since i've been thinking about street spirit, but i do have some ambitious plans about them as the street spirit project can be a gateway to improve my art portfolio. so glad to see you on my timeline when you update your ocs!
@bandzboy (via @pionas)
tris! the advocate and voice you are!! gosh i'm so glad i linked up with you because, honestly, you are one of the voices of reason for me to think about kpop critically, especially in the social and political side of the industry. so proud of you for being the voice of the kpop boycott for gaza that i'm still following today. all the best for you~
@thelargefrye (via @smallfrye)
smalls! gosh how are you? i love how you refer to yourself as the yoko taro of atinyblr 'cause i can definitely see that (as a self-proclaimed annapurna interactive of my side of the kpop ficblr). your stories are so creative and out of the box that i am very much inspired to make more fantasy fics instead of grounded fics because of them. i hope you are doing well right now!
@prodsh00ky
hello sam! glad to be able to link up with you and thanks for joining my collab~ hope we can talk or discuss more cause i am planning to be more active here, especially nearing the end of the year...
@hyukassubi
subi! so glad to see you here especially since we've talked before on the txt fic hub discord server. so glad to know that you're getting in the groove for writing. i am interested in your kai fics, so i'm might reblog something about it in the future. p.s. will be answering your rb after this
director's journal entries (read: all the rants i have thought out the past year. some are genuine, some are sarcastic):
finally i can post a continuation of time wave ahh
why am i making such a romcom fic so melancholic(?)
oh shoot
where did yall come from??? *panic*
i hate myself for not being able to finish another fic
pls let me finish a fic :[[[
i'm so sorry. but ever since laurel hell, why is there an abundance of enha parent au on the tags?
freaky ahh...
in the clerb, we all fam... ig
i have so many ideas. thank you other mediums!
spoiler: i went a place where my future fic will be set in ohoho
i literally just hear someone copulating a floor above me when i wanna write smut. bro if it can reach me, i’m horrified for their next-door neighbours
re: above: that's my ace side showing up ^^
it's been year huh and how did i still am able write more than 100k words
wow!
notable moments from the past year
the first time a fic has reached 1000 notes!
reaching 300, 400, and 500!
what’s next?
lissie: i mostly plan on focusing on the fics that i am working for currently (i only said, terra incognita act 1, loomer) that will posted this year and other things such as the 400 milestone collab!
i *might* make a poll about fics from my wip page that you are interested in reading the most but like it's still hard 'cause i have to be in a certain mindset to write. i will try to be active here more, especially with mutuals and in regards to @a-dream-bookmark. i will be a bit more low-key because i believe in a more thorough process that is quality over quantity. so, i hope you can be patient with that...
lissie: with all of that said, i thank all of you once again for another year of support. cheers!

I’m the anon that sent you the ask about your fic! And that snippet was AMAZING! I’m seriously so excited to read this. 😍😍
I totally get being hesitant to engage with fandom at the moment, it’s hella toxic out there. I’m just LIBERALLY using the block button, which I’ve never really had to do before, but it’s making my experience much more pleasant. Don’t let them get you down, you are very talented!
Anon, I hope you're still out there! (I saw this several days ago, but then forgot to respond—I'm sorry for the delay!)
I'm glad you enjoyed the snippet! I'm hopeful that I might finish this one, but honestly, the state of the fandom lately has left me less than enthused. It's hard to get excited over writing or even just participating in fandom when it feels like anything you do is going to piss someone off.
I've never really been one to block—in the past it's always been easy to unfollow and avoid most of the issues. The problem I'm coming up against this time around is that these attitudes are seeping into blogs I've always trusted and really enjoyed, and it's super disheartening to see people I thought I could trust spouting the same rhetoric as the anons in my inbox seeking to be actively cruel. It's just not a great feeling to have to unfollow everyone, you know? Right now, there are only a handful of people whose blogs feel like a safe space anymore, and that is such a turnaround from even just a few months ago.
It's exhausting, honestly, and I'm increasingly avoiding posting any kind of opinions or thoughts about the show to avoid the bullshit, and at that point, what is even the point of being part of a fandom, you know?
So, anyway, I'm very glad you appreciated the snippet, and I'll try to maybe finish it one of these days. Hopefully, everything calms down here soon, so we can all just go back to getting along and enjoying the show we love.

Been awhile since I had seen your stuff, and I really enjoy what you’ve been coming up with! Glad to see you’re having fun
(Also, how did you start here, so to speak? I would love to be an active creator in the kirblr community, but since I just lurk and rb because I don’t have the energy/confidence to create, I just feel like an unwelcome stalker LOL. Sorry if this is too much!)
Oh, gosh, thank you so much! I'm a little impressed at how things have turned out after barely two years(?) here myself!
I don't know if my methods could ever work for anyone else as they do me, as I attribute a lot of "this" to serendipity but...
...It seems to me I really took off after opening my inbox up to doing detailed ask memes about the characters. Again, this was kind of luck on my part because I spoke very lovingly (albeit truthfully!) about a few mega popular characters, which caused two of their fandom BNFs to kindly reblog my posts, and that sent a bunch more asks for the WHOLE rest of the Kirby cast my way!
I'm sorry to say, it does take a lot of energy though. But I do get the struggle, as I'm often exhausted by life/lots of jobs. However, if you can find any sort of mental "trick" to keep yourself going, you might discover you have more energy than you think inside you!
(Me, I'm very visual, and I keep a collection of my favorite fanart on hand. If I think I've exhausted myself on a character/ran out of ideas of things to talk about, I'll browse through my personal "gallery" and it will help me to remember characters/events/interesting points.)
As to the matter of confidence, you've probably heard the whole "fake it to you make it" bit and to a degree, at least, it's true. I've had a couple of posts where I've flooded the tags with things like "OMG this is so bad and I'm so sorry!" or "I had no time to work on this and it shows~" or "if this sucks it's because life is crushing my soul and I just want to sleep for a thousand years..." annnnnd unfortunately...
...even if it's how you're feeling At The Time, those things can make people feel like they're intruding into your space by liking or reblogging it. It's like, if you're telling us something so personal and private, maybe you really only want to hear from a friend right now, and not a stranger...? What I've done is I've told myself it's okay to write out those low self-esteem thoughts elsewhere but try to let the people who are here for the art/images/videos/writing/discussions just enjoy your art/images/videos/writing/discussions.
If you've got something to get off your chest, don't feel like you have to hold it inside, but don't hold your audience captive either.
(Also, something else fun about this: if you cast out positivity, you may find that it comes back to you, and when you look again at that thing you shared, it was NOT as "awful" as you thought.)
Now, a lot of that was about "external" confidence or what you display. As for internal confidence, that's... kind of a constant struggle. We all -- and by all, I I mean even famous published creators -- have times when we think our work isn't good enough. Annnd...
...Well, it isn't always great. But the fact that something isn't great now (even if it's the absolute best we can do at the time) doesn't mean we have no skill at something! We all have to start somewhere. And sometimes "somewhere" is a piece of art or writing or theory or humorous content that only 1-2 people think is "...Eh, not bad."
My first "hit it big" piece? My "Moon's Haunted" Kirby meme? Ohhh man, I can't STAND to look at now! I redrew it a few months back and if I were to redraw it today, it'd look better still, probably. The key is that I tried (...and that I meme-posted when the game was going viral >.> ) and I think that shone through??
(...It might be silly, but there IS a Nintendo Direct tomorrow. Probably no Kirby news, as I assume Vanpool's closure will bring an end to us getting multiple Kirby titles a year, but if you really want to try and take that ^ path, you can always get up early/stay up late and ready yourself to post commentary on any news!)
That doesn't just go for art, but writing/theories/HC as well. I myself find it a little sad when someone starts on a post and then will just trail off with "...lol I dunno, didn't think about it that hard."
"Don't say that, person on the internet," I cry! Do you realize how much information is at your fingertips right now? You can google for things even if you only know it as "that thing in that one movie about the fruit." You can watch a Youtube video in 5 minutes explaining the mechanics of something you've never seen or ever hope to do before! You can even watch a Youtube playthrough of a Kirby thing you forgot instead of saying "You forgot!" Don't know how to draw cloaks? Pinterest has millions of references! Don't like Pinterest? Just google "cloaks, Pinterest" and click on the images tab and you will never have to log into that accursed site! It just takes WANTING to.
Though sometimes, I think people write that out of embarrassment? Maybe they DID think about it but they don't think anyone would be interested? Or maybe they really didn't think about X or Y but didn't want to feel like they were neglecting anybody and that something is better than nothing. Which it is, but LOVE is even more important!
...And love, especially in a fandom space, can be ~complicated~
Like I mentioned above, I'm LUCKY that my top favorite characters also come close to topping the rest of "the fandom's" list. But as I've said before, I love every character in Kirby. Even the ones-people-want-to-throw-off-a-bridge-into-a-waste-treatment-plant..
And if I'd started off my tumblr as a "The Susie Haltmann Appreciation Blog!" as opposed to my actual "Hey I'm Completely Obsessed About Marx and Magolor and I Think About Them All The Time (...but I also like the Haltmanns from a story perspective for their heartrending tragedy that hits close to home for me...) Blog" I don't know if we'd be having this conversation right now. ^^;
(It doesn't just have to be all about controversy/"discourse" related stuff either. I could have started a "Daily Sillydillo" blog and had to retire it in a month due to low levels of interaction. The concept of fandom favorites might not be very egalitarian, when every character deserves to have their story enjoyed, but sometimes, strong love can make up for the lack of eyes on a thing. Occasionally ^^)
...Anyway, you might not have the energy, at least not all the time, and confidence might be a little low right now too, but you love Kirby, right? You have passion for it? Passion can get you a lot! And also, there's a few methods of interaction that, for personal reasons, I could not choose that have done wonders for everyone else!
For example, I have some old, unhealed trauma about OCs, but there's a whole hu~ge section of Kirblr that loves OCs and, as far as I've seen (??) tries to be really supportive about them?
Lastly, I can guarantee you, you are NOT a stalker and anyone who thinks being a "quiet supportive fan" equates to being a stalker should consider moving away from thinking of themselves and/or others in that negative way. You have stalked nobody! You have only shown an active interest in others! That is a POSITIVE thing!
And on that note, you're definitely not unwelcome either! Especially if you're one of the precious, wonderful people out there who reblog lots! If you want to get your toes wet, why not test the waters and build your confidence in this space by adding some of your thoughts onto your reblogs? You could build a rep/connections that way!
TLDR, sometimes gaining an audience/a space is a magic trick that no one knows the secret to. Other times, it is the result of months and months and months of hard, lonesome persistence.
The best advice I can give you is advice I would give myself:
-Be kind if you can, if you cannot, then be understanding -Demonstrate care about your interests and those of others -Forgive yourself for being at the beginning of your journey
-Enthusiasm, sincerity, and love are warm lights in this world of ours that can, at times, seem so dim and dreary. Light a little lantern for yourself and remember to laugh loud with joy that life is also so amazingly, ridiculously magical and before you know it, others will find their way to your light to add their lantern to yours!

I was trying not to get involved in everything going on right now but after reading your last post I just felt I had to say something. Firstly you seem like a really mature and thoughtful person which is such a breath of fresh air in online spaces in general. The way you're handling the situation is really admirable and your words really resonated with me. I'm relatively new to this fandom (I watched KPTS after the shitshow in January) and, after learning what happened, I've done my best to keep my distance from the cast and BOC and just focus on the story and characters. Based on what I'd read about the case I was willing to give Build the benefit of the doubt but the recent leaked messages make that nearly impossible which is also preventing me from enjoying the series which I've come to love. What makes it worse is that I'm an artist who loves VegasPete and, just like you, every time I try to make art with them, I keep thinking about all the awful comments Build made about Bible and it feels plain wrong to draw them together. Even for someone like me who's not emotionally attached to the actors it's really hard to separate them from the characters and it's making my fandom experience pretty miserable. I have very complicated feelings about the whole ordeal - on one hand as a queer person like you I'm tired of people's homophobia and bigotry being swept under the rug, but on the other hand I've seen first hand what an abusive relationship can do to a person so I can't help but feel some compassion for him too. I truly hope he can reflect on his mistakes and heal and grow as a person. Maybe I'm just too old for celebrity culture and drama but I do feel the need to be able to discuss issues like this one in a calm and level headed manner instead of falling victim to black and white thinking and turning things into a witch hunt. Sorry for the rant and feel free to ignore this message, your post just really resonated with me and I wanted to share some of my thoughts on the matter. I hope you have a lovely day/night ❤️
thank u sm for this message.... i really appreciate you taking the time to write about your experience and i'm glad you felt like you could share ❤️
there isn't a clear-cut answer to the whole debacle. whoever tries to sell you one is a scammer or is speaking out of an emotionally clouded place (as i was last week lol).
taking a look back at everything, i think it's important to acknowledge:
1. multiple things can be true at once: you can feel hurt by build's comments and still feel sympathy for his predicament.
2. you should be able to discuss these things without feeling like you'll get, idk. fandom black points. or get blocked by everyone who thinks differently than you (which happened to me), or even hounded and hacked by people to the point of getting your blog shut down (which happened to blramblings).
3. it's really fucking hard to be a fandom creator in these circumstances. i'm really sorry to hear your art has been impacted. especially in the case of vegaspete, i tend to believe there was an "aura" inextricably linking biblebuild as actors to who they were representing on screen. no one but biblebuild could've been vegaspete for me. it was their contrasting facial features, it was in their on-screen rapport and chemistry for me. their choices in portraying the characters, the behind-the-scene interviews... that aura mesmerized me for an entire year literally. and it's not only fine to admit that the situation complicates your fandom art, it should be an *active conversation* we have as fandom creators. because let me tell you, i don't write fic on top of my insane job out of the goodness of my heart. it's because of that spark of joy i feel, that stepping out of the regular day to day. the moment that joy isn't there anymore, it becomes labor. and let me tell you one thing i DON'T do. it's FREE LABOR corporations fuck me on the daily already so why would i let them do it as a hobby too
so yeah thanks so much for sharing your thoughts <3 i rly rly appreciate it and sending you lots of good vibes. who knows what the future holds in store for us etc. etc. but we out here!!!

hi my friend shared one of ur rancher posts with me on twt and i went INSANE- so i wanted to know if u had a twt? (cause thats where im most active for ranchers stuff) :0
?? My post has broken containment??? Incredible. If that's the one I just posted tonight then that's insane skldjf
No, I deleted my Twitter back in like... 2019 or 2020? I was only there to keep up with publishers and PitMad but then I never used it... never looked back, ha ha.
You're welcome to hang around my blog if you like (I use the tag #Team Rancher for all my Rancher commentary, reblogged art, or original art and I like to think I have a pretty good tag system so you can follow me if interested and blacklist stuff from other fandoms you don't care about; I try to talk positively about my fandoms, keep things clean, and not hate on anything since I like having a peaceful fanspace I can sink myself in and step away from the outside world :) But I'm multi-fandom, so I've got a mixed amount of stuff and it's okay if that's not for you).
-> If you haven't looked yet, I encourage you to browse my Team Rancher tag and check out some of those awesome artists and fellow fandom members!
I do have a very active AO3 account. I regularly post MCYT and non-MCYT content there, but you can specifically subscribe to my Pixels Imperfect series on AO3 if you only want emails for my MCYT content. It's a series, but it doesn't have to be read in order (It's just where I keep all my "morally gray pixel people living their best lives despite the outside world being total anarchy" stuff).
Specifically, tomorrow I'm posting the first part of a short story called Criminal Experience and Chapter 1 involves Tango visiting Mumbo's llama farm. Jimmy's not there, but maybe you'll still enjoy if you like Tango, ranch animals, and/or are curious to see if you like my stuff and my Tango portrayal :) [EDIT - Link]
-> I also posted some Jimmy content this past Tuesday; he makes his first big appearance in Chapter 6 of Dog's Life.
Again, totally fine if this doesn't fit what you're looking for since I'm giving you "Tango content" and "Jimmy content" but not specifically "Team Rancher content"... that's just all I've got right now! But I love talking about them and their characterization and you're always welcome to hit me up if you like!
I don't have anything that is specifically Team Rancher on my to-do writing list, but I'm working behind the scenes on a "put all the Life series into a single coherent timeline and making everything as canon as possible" project, so there will probably be some Team Rancher there. It's Scar-centric so I only have the Clockers nailed down right now, but the Ranchers were my faves so they'll probably exist in some shape or form in that series.
That series is called Neighborhood Watch, though I don't have anything posted for it on AO3 yet so I can't link you that one :')
-> If you are a Team Rancher fanartist/fanwriter and you use Twitter to post Rancher content, feel free to reblog or reply to this post and self-advertise! (But keep this post sfw, please)
[Psp psp even if you don't use Twitter, feel free to reblog or reply because I'm firmly a Tumblr user but I'd also love more Team Rancher in my life <3]
I'm glad you enjoyed my post! I really like Team Rancher... they are just very kind to each other and I could talk for ages about how they passed Scott's compatibility test with flying colors even though he was trying to rig it so they break up SLDKFJSLDFJ <3 Tango and Jimmy were just super kind to each other and incredibly comedic... Double Life was such a fun series. I miss them.
I've got a ton of Rancher fanart reblogs in my drafts/queue but I'm trying to space them out to avoid slam-dunking my followers, sldkfj. We love Team Rancher in this household. Thanks for stopping by!

Little confession because I don´t know to who I can write my heart out.
So recently I became Niall´s big fan after attending his 2 shows, his music and some mix from 1D is the only music I´m listening right now and I have to say it´s such a relief to be his fan for so many reasons. I´ll probably compare something that´s uncomparable but still... His shows are in such a great mood because there are no gaslighted/in-denial fans like solo het/gf harries, everyone´s here for his music, his charm and genuine personality. So many larries and otp5/4 around wearing 1D or Louis merch and it´s such a safe space.
There´s absolutely no drama around him, he´s doesn´t need to be the blank canvas for his fans and be that mysterious person just like H has to be. And so he´s able to be very active on sm and it´s just very nice fans service. He got great photographer and so his tour content is great and really shows the atmosphere of his shows including backstage videos.
And I know he´s probably not closeted and so he doesn´t have to stunt to gaslight his fans, no tabloid drama, no queerbaiting accussations ´cause he´s straight and gay in the same time, no stunt pap walks, no anxiety when some sighting of him and his gf (whenever she´s real or a beard ´cause honestly idc about his relationship at all) will drop and include pda and face licking.
Writing this makes me really wonder if I actually want to be H´s fan. Like I will be larrie because I believe in them and their love and their cute ongoing pattern but I´m just tired of his super overhyped image, I´m tired of HS TM who´s the new legend/icon/changing the history/whatever bs they write about him when he´s just a regular singer who may be talented but wouldn´t be what he is without that huge hype from his label because they choose him to be their golden goose.
And so I´m not even excited about HS4 because it will be another super hyped promo, his stunt going through our throats as a muse for the album, more grammys and breaking records and more the new Bowie/Prince/Mercury of this generation while the rest of boys should deserve the same attention but they will never get to his level because the weren´t the choosen one.
Hi, anon!
I'm so glad you had fun at Niall's show! Niall is pretty drama free (or people don't care that much about Niall's drama is probably the better way of putting it). He's pretty chill and what you see is what you get. If that is what you like and enjoy, then keep doing it!
Harry is full of drama, so i get how it can all feel pretty tiring and frustrating. I can't tell you what you should feel and what you should do, and there is no right or wrong way to be a fan. I know what i enjoy and what i don't enjoy so i pay attention to the thing i enjoy and try to ignore the rest. Some things can't be ignored though, and you need to see how you feel about it when it when the time comes and he wants your attention and money. It's the time between last tour and new album that's always the hardest on fandom, and that's where we are now. You might change your mind when we get more positive promo from him like interviews, performances and fan service. Just see how you feel, things might change. If not, you've always got drama free Niall to be a fan of!

List 5 things that make you happy, then put this in the askbox for the last ten people who reblogged something from you! Get to know your mutuals & followers!! <3
Thank you my friend 🫂 I hope you have been well! 1. Looking at Azure reassures me to keep going, she is my babey and I tear up just thinking about our inventible departure ;^;
Tumblr media
2. My partner ~ we have been through a LOT even still to this day but it is comforting to know we both want things to work out in the end. We're not perfect, we will never be, but I adore my love and want the best for them. I'm hoping by next year when I graduate that we finally make things more official 💍
3. Giving myself self help? OWFJWOF entering my final semester with a paid internship was not easy, the past 3 years has been such a strain on myself that anytime I consulted with someone LITERALLY
Tumblr media
I should have gotten help and aide A LONG TIME AGO - my journey has not been easy and I'm glad I finally got the courage to ask for help. I am getting aid, loans are scary BUT HEY, no money right now is scary. I am currently seeing a therapist, and it's been a good change of pace! Last semester I joined a therapy group and I'm glad it made me open up more, highly recommend to those who have pondering on it! Overall I'm glad I'm putting myself first, whether it's due to better secure myself in getting more income or self confidence, it makes me happy at the end of the day!
4. Plants, I've started a plant collection! I'm hoping to post about them soon on here, I've posted about them on my insta stories so once again mentioning that I'm more active on there! I'm hoping by next year to git rid of my dresser in order to fit a bookshelf of sorts there and have all of the plants together in one place,,,,it's been okay so far but want more space to make more green in the room!
5. I guess, overall, fandom life? I talked with one of my friends recently about their beginnings in posting art online, and how GOOD and FREE you feel when you do? I'm a VERY shy and cautious person, so it's really hard for me to engage in fandom because once I do I either overshare or have no filter (look at me right now oversharing fjwoifjwojf) but it's so freeing? It's so great to be able to go online and search up fandom content on your interests, whether it's in the form of gif sets or fan art, it's KNOWING you are unloading fandom stuff and being able to 'fan' about it. It's strange how something 'normal' to you is something completely abnormal to someone else, that was how the talk felt to me, but I'm glad to see that no matter the age or era - it's never too late to start!

alright, buckle in, girl.
here‘s the thing. i of course found your fanfic first and i remember thinking right away; oh, this is someone who puts a lot of thought and effort into their writing. then, once we started talking a little, i felt a little starstruck tbh - there was this person (you) who was obviously very active in fandom, making GREAT contributions and they were talking to me?! voluntarily?! and so very nicely?! turns out i didn‘t even scrape the surface in my first impression of you, because here‘s what i‘ve learned since: you are a truly wonderful person - kind and caring and involved and incredibly creative and full of ideas. you put so much pressure on yourself and have very high expectations that you hold your contributions to fandom to. you have to deal with so, so, so very much and have had to deal with so, so, so very much for so long that i truly don‘t know how you do it and come out the other side still able to scream about silly brand managers and car boys and hockey boys with us. it‘s impressive and delightful and 100% lovely and i am so glad i get to share a fandom space with you. thanks for being you ❤️!
Oh my GOD, Nonny 😭. I made the mistake of reading this now during my town hall meeting, and I'm feverishly trying my best not to cry.
This is so lovely and kind and overwhelming in the nicest, best possible way.
It's been a tough last few months--tough last few years to be honest, ha--and I often feel like I keep dropping the ball on everything. And like, I probably am! But I'm grateful that you and so many amazing folks here continue to connect and share this space with me.
I have a couple of guesses on who you are, and anyway, love you and thank you for such lovely words.

Hello there I just want to thank you for your content it makes me really happy. Each time you post or reblog it is an instant boost of serotonin and I really need that right now
I hope you are having a good day :)
hai there friend!
that's very kind of you. I spent a lot of years (comparatively) online being quite quiet and simply existing, and it wasn't until 2 years ago (yes the pandemic) that I really began to actively involve myself with any community online (Star Trek my beloved).
this to say that it's still quite a new experience for me to really talk so deeply outside of my private space. Especially feel that way with MASH, which is such an established story, with plenty of people who have watched it since childhood and with behind-the-scenes stories and fandom analyses and archives that I'm only sifting through for the first time, which is a lot of fun!
so I'm glad that the rambling is being enjoyed by you too, and I'm happy to have met new people, and am still talking with people whom I know from Cobra Kai and Star Trek.
a last note: it's funny that there's an idea of fandom as something youthful, when I'm (excitedly) peeking over the fence to see my thirtieth year rapidly approaching and have only really started engaging with this space as an active participant after many years of tip-toeing closer like a wary cat (I come to things at my own pace, I've started to learn). depending on where life goes, I think I have plenty ways more to go down that journey and I’m glad it’s happening the way that it is.
I hope you have a lovely day too

I humbly request Zavala x Caiatl, where he wants to court her very politely and researches what flowers to gift her, but maybe flower gifting isn't a thing in the Cabal culture, so she's surprised and amused and he scrambles to explain and she's like, yes, I'm taking these flowers Right Now. Also welcome to this nice ship (and fandom!) deck :D
(here you go :3)
-
The airlock hisses. Zavala’s ears pop as the pressure rises, just enough that one of the Cabal can be fully comfortable with their pressure suits and armor off. Torobatl was a high-gravity world; though they can go out into lower-pressure places without suits, it takes time to adjust and always carries some discomfort. In their private spaces, the pressure is always high enough to make anyone else uncomfortable.
Zavala doesn’t mind. It’s worth any discomfort to have the honor of being here. He’s not even in his armor: he’s in civilian clothes. Most of the Vanguard have never seen him dressed down like this. And yet he has no issue presenting himself in this manner to someone who was, not that long ago, an enemy.
He glances down at the gift in his hands. A small potted plant, a delicate orchid with five teardrop petals around a ruffle of red and yellow marking the center of the flower. It’s small, but beautiful. It seems right.
The doors open and Zavala steps out into a hot, humid receiving room. He’s glad he chose a loosely knitted sweater for this visit. It’s the perfect environment for an orchid, or so the botanist told him.
It’s not a lavish room by any means. None of the decadence one might expect judging by the stories of the previous ruler of the Cabal. Very nearly Spartan, with bare metal walls and floor and a table and chairs designed for meetings not comfort. Zavala does wonder about what might be beyond the other door—even more private quarters, presumably—but that’s not something he’s ready to ask.
But there are plants. What look like ferns and mushrooms and flowers, a riot of colors foreign to Zavala’s eyes, all carefully attended in pots. These are relics of Torobatl’s swamps and rainforests, survivors of terrible tragedies. It was their presence that inspired the gift Zavala carries now.
Standing at the window looking out at the stars, Empress Caiatl turns to look at him. Her tusks lift slightly, her version of a smile. “Welcome, Commander,” she says warmly.
Zavala inclines his head a little. He smiles back. It feels…natural. “Empress.”
She crosses the room to recline in a Cabal-sized chair, and gestures at one better sized for Zavala. Sensible: since Saladin joined her council, they must have made some accommodations for his height. “Please, sit.”
He does, holding the orchid carefully in his lap. Now the nerves are setting in—but Zavala perseveres. He’s faced far worse than this.
“You look well,” he says, glancing her over. It’s still rare to see Caiatl without her armor. The wounds she sustained in their fight against Calus’ forces have healed perfectly. “Have you…do you feel you’ve recovered?”
“I have not been sleeping well,” she says, matter-of-fact. “Have you?”
“No.” Zavala shakes his head. “Overcoming nightmares seemed easy when we confronted them face to face, but…”
“It’s less easy when alone and unarmored.”
“Yes,” Zavala says.
It’s…nice, to be able to be honest like this. The Young Wolf and Crow endured the same trials, and they are all three bound by Light, but the two of them are young. They haven’t lived with their fears and regrets as long as Zavala has. Besides, even with the deeper ties of Light, even though they’ve both seen him at his worst, Zavala can’t speak to them of this. He’s still their commander.
Caiatl has a long life of fear and regret behind her. She’s his equal in stature. They’re allies. And…
“What is that?” Caiatl asks, breaking the silence.
“An orchid,” Zavala says. “A flower from Earth.”
She leans forward to peer at it. Her golden eyes catch the light even in the pleasantly dim room. “Very beautiful.” She looks at Zavala. “It would fit well in Torobatl’s forests.”
“That’s why I brought it,” Zavala says. He lifts the pot slightly. “Flowers like it grew in Earth’s rainforests. I thought…you might like it.”
Caiatl smiles again. “Is this a human custom?”
“Yes,” Zavala says. “Gifts of flowers are traditional.”
“As a celebration?”
“That and as…as gifts of friendship.”
Friendship.
He can practically hear Safi laughing at his ineptitude.

Right. Found footage is, as we all know, a pretty polarizing style of horror movie. And, even though I adore it, I see why. Pervasive issues of shakycam, bad quality being used to hide sfx issues, audio problems, bad acting due to the affordability of making a found footage movie, and more can really wreck a movie. I’ve seen plenty of found footage that I just plain hated.
When found footage is done well, though, it’s very good. I’d like to offer five of my favorite found footage movies. These don’t just rely on a single, badly-used handheld camera: they get creative with the technology at hand to draw you in and help you to believe you’re watching something real.
Top Five
The Bay (2012): Mutant isopods from a polluted bay come to exact environmental revenge on a small American town.
The sheer VARIETY of kinds of footage (home video, news tapes, security cameras from a huge number of angles, police dashcam footage) makes this stand out. It’s not just one single tape telling a story of a few people--it’s a compilation of tapes that provide a wide view of a disaster befalling a whole town. YMMV on whether or not that was a good idea (I think it was), but the segment of police dashcam footage is one of the single most unsettling things I’ve ever seen.
The Tunnel: A news crew investigates a possible conspiracy involving disappearances in the sewers under Sydney, Australia, and get more than they bargained for.
The guy playing the news cameraman (Steve Davis) is actually a professional camera operator for documentaries as his day job, so the camera work is actually very exceptional and deliberate instead of handheld shakycam. It avoids a lot of the common pitfalls like disorientation or focusing on the wrong thing, and I didn’t feel like I was going to get motion sick watching it.
Host (2020): During the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, a group of friends tries to hold a seance over Zoom. It doesn’t go well.
Maximizes the fear factor of all of Zoom’s constraints, from face recognition to custom backgrounds to the number of participants in the call. It also has to pack a lot into a limited time, since the length of the movie is the length of a free Zoom call, and it does so very, very well.
Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum: A group of amateur Korean ghost hunters decide to livestream a lock-in at the titular asylum. This also doesn’t go well.
There’s a really novel use of techniques like GoPro cameras to bring you up close and personal with the ghosts. I almost had to take off my headphones during one scene. It also adds the unique conceit that everything is being livestreamed, which creates a layer of complication for the characters as they try to navigate the terrifying night.
V/H/S 94, “The Subject”: An Indonesian scientist building cyborgs out of unwilling participants discovers what happens when his own creations finally turn on him.
The reveal of exactly how the movie is being filmed is extraordinary. It does a great job at presenting a point of view that I don’t think I’ve ever seen before, and it’s so beautifully well-handled in terms of sound design to foreshadow what’s coming. The horror is also absolutely gut-wrenching and I’m not sure I’ve ever cheered a final girl as loudly as I cheered Subject 99.
A few other movies under the cut!
Honorable Mentions
Cloverfield: A giant monster attacks New York City and a group of friends tries to survive the night.
Although it suffers badly from shakycam and poor audio, and makes the head of the Statue of Liberty bizarrely large, the movie uses the constraints of a home video camera to give us a terrifying look at what it’s like on the ground for civilians during a kaiju attack. That’s something most modern giant monster movies neglect to give, since we see it from the perspective of scientists, soldiers, and heroes--not the innocent, hapless citizens caught in the crossfire.
Alien Abduction: Incident in Lake County (1998): A family Thanksgiving in rural Montana is interrupted by the arrival of Little Grey Men.
The movie effectively manipulates the constraints of a handheld camera’s limited view (keeping the viewer wondering what’s happening behind the character with a camera), which is quite nice. More importantly, though, it pulled a full “War of the Worlds” by presenting itself as a factual documentary (with no disclaimers), resulting in a fair amount of public concern, speculation, and paranoia. This was a year before Blair Witch Project came out with its early-Internet ARG stylings, so that’s even cooler to me.
For other takes on found footage I love, even though they didn’t feel terribly groundbreaking, see:
Grave Encounters: A ghost hunt goes terribly wrong during an overnight lock-in. Anything else would spoil the story.
Troll Hunter (2010): A small group of students follows around a professional troll hunter in Norway to learn about his work and the mythical trolls he hunts.
V/H/S, “Amateur Night”: Three friends attempt to pick up girls at a bar. Filmed with a camera hidden in a pair of glasses, we get a front-row seat to what happens when one of the girls turns out to be more than meets the eye.
V/H/S, “Tuesday the 17th”: Out in the woods, a bizarre entity that appears only as camera glitches hunts and kills a group of friends one by one.
[REC]: Zombies attack inside a Spanish apartment building--and when the doors are locked, the residents are left to fend for themselves to survive.
Noroi: The Curse: This “documentary” tells the story of a paranormal researcher who attempts to uncover the secrets of the supernatural in Japan, only to find himself caught up in the very curse he investigates.

Just for fun: I’ve watched a lot of horror movies. If you’re interested in getting a personalized recommendation for something to watch, toss an ask my way. I’ll come back with 1 to 3 movies that I think would fit your bill. (Anon is on!)
Be as vague (”zombie movies”) or as specific (”not in English, no bugs, plenty of gore”) as you want. Fair warning: the more specific you are, the fewer movies I’ll be able to recommend. Also, please make sure you note the things you absolutely Do Not Want To See! (”no face trauma,” “no sex,” “no fire,” “no shaky camera,” “no mirrors,” whatever. You don’t have to explain why.)
And...go! :D

In light of current events, I’m going to (again) pitch using places that are not social media to get your news. Here’s a quick cheat sheet.
If you’re concerned about the skew of coverage, Media Bias Fact Check (at this link) will help you quickly check a given source and learn something about them (history, who funds and owns them, credibility, etc). To just look at truth in political claims, Politifact.com (at this link) examines statements and explains why they are or are not true.
In general, I like the AP (left leaning) to check out new stories, since they tend toward less biased coverage than other outlets if you’re just looking for a flat overview of a situation. They’re also good for staying up to date since they frequently have ongoing coverage. If you want to look beyond America, this is also a good spot. And they have an app. AND they’re free—no paywall.
Even if you’re not subscribed, the New York Times will still send you daily updates of news (headlines and short stories) if you sign up (at this link here). The Daily Skimm is a free morning newsletter (sign up at this link here) that leans left and is thoroughly sourced and fact-checked. Major stories are summarized briefly and it’s full of links to further information if you want it.
Basically…it’s so tempting to let social media be your primary source of information. But it can’t be your only source, because it’s not a trustworthy source. News media has major issues and I won’t ever argue that, but when it comes to these huge issues, look beyond the soundbites and into deeper information.

My #1 post of 2022
For the thousandth time I will repeat: read the fucking news. I promise you, every time a post says “no one is talking about this,” at least one major outlet is. The place that “no one is talking about this” is on social media, where no one reads news because it’s all “too biased” or “not up to date” or “has an agenda.”
Just a thought: maybe if people read the news, they could talk about it on social media, critically consume multiple sources to identify skew and decide their own position, and put pressure on major outlets to cut the bias. But no. It’s easier to guilt trip people on tumblr than it is to do those things.

i forgot to mention that the discord then started giving me. weird warnings? like i got warned for violating nsfw rules because i said 'that teddy bear fucks' as a joke? i got warned for violating ship hate rules again,,, for calling yuhiyo entertainingly disastrous in an affectionate way? and someone made a joke about hating samishagariya and i jokingly agreed... and i got silenced for a week and threatened with a ban, when the original person was left alone? it kind of felt like they were out to get me at that point so i just left.
there's a surprising amount of other liphiyo shippers i know who are afraid to enter honeyworks discords because they know liphiyo is going to be treated with hostility...
but right now, i'm having a fun time making my own liphiyo space and writing fics! i appreciate your kindness a lot! thank you!
that said... the honeyworks servers i'm in are mostly completely inactive... i'm not very comfortable with interacting with the fandom as a whole anymore, so i can't really help you there... sorry. the only people i can point you to are liphiyo fans...
Nah yeah they were out to get you dude 💀 i'm glad you're out of there
its very cool of you to make your own space for likeminded people, this has somewhat motivated me to try to post a chapter of my AU (if i finish it that is) to add to the handful of aiyuu authors currently still active. Its often stagnant for days and i feel guilty for quietly waiting for someone to make content instead of doing it myself jjsjsjs
I dont interact with my one of my favorite anime's fandoms (BNHA) for several years now for similar reasons, i completely get it. Happy shipping though, where ever you feel comfortable to do it unapolegetically!

Tumblr media
Love how you state right at the top of reply how you 'did tag this properly'
Then proceeded to actually tag it how you fucking should have to fucking start with
but still did not fix the tags in your original post
That's really fun. </s>
The correct tags you're looking to use so you don’t end up coughing your hate everywhere with your uncovered mouth you filthy fucking animal are:
Anti-fandom
Anti_fandom
or Antifandom
The tag you don't want to use is;
Anti Fandom
with the space
like you did correctly in this reply post.
because ya kinda understand what you did wrong there now, don’t you?
Here's a little tumblr coding basics 101;
if I made the tag
'Zuko dies in a horrible train crash after Godzilla shit on the tracks'
That entire tag will now show up in the zuko tag, the godzilla tag, the shit tag, the train tag, so on and so on.
Because that's how this website works.
Tumblr considers spaces in a tag kinda like a new instance of a tag. A comma in the code acts like a ‘stop’. When you type out a full sentence with spaces it considers those spaces ‘tag breaks’.
It'll do the small work for you and ignore the instances of 'The' or 'In' and 'A' but everything else that could potentially be a keyword gets thrown into the site-wide tagging system.
When someone arranges a tag as one word (either by actually making it one word or using a hyphen) Tumblr will look at it and go 'Ah! This is one word!' and sorts it accordingly.
To Tumblr 'anti' is an active(awful) tag so when you tag something 'anti reylo' it will sort it into the anti tag and reylo tag accordingly.
Meaning the regular joes who are just going about their normal business in their fandom space and haven’t preemptively blocked the anti tag or you personally will now see you being an asshole to us in living color.
Over the fact 'you think' the zutara ship is more morally upstanding because it has less ‘problematic’ issues over a nearly identical canon ship, reylo, which is Ben Solo and Rey from Star Wars, and the also non-canon Harry Potter ship, dramione.
They're fictional fucking ships.
bodycount don’t really fuckin’ matter because the fake people they killed are fake.
There's no moral supremacy over one vs the other.
Uncle Iroh was a decorated war general so I'm pretty sure his body count is higher than everyone in the room but since we get to only see him in ‘jolly old man trying to stop his stupid nephew from becoming his monster of a father’ mode so we kinda forget he's a fuckin' war general.
and you know what man
I just don’t fucking know what crack you smoked to come up with this one
so here we fucking are
And since op tagged this so poorly when they made the original post trying to put my whole fucking fandom on blast
like some kinda beacon
a whole ass reylo showed up would ya fuckin’ believe it?
after tagging the reylo fandom?
Well that reylo is now here to help you get your facts straight and to ask you once again with feeling to fix those tags and find your nearest exit buddy
Tumblr media
Anyways, basic fucking coding lesson aside:
This isn't a case of 'if you dislike it you should just scroll past'
this is a case of 'Why the fuck are you even fucking here?'
I'm glad you got zutara, a nice enjoyable ship that I also interact with on this demon’s asshole of a website because it has such striking resemblance to reylo, to look at fondly and enjoy but there is no fucking reason for you to come into other Incredibly Similar Fandom's Tags
LIED ABOUT SHIT ABOUT THOSE CHARACTERS/SHIPS OUTRIGHT
then tell those people their ships are worse 'because the writing was bad'.
you said and I quote: Kylo also has a worse record than Zuko: murdering his dad, oppressing countless people, killing civilians, and maiming people.
Kylo Ren is a weapon of war being used by a tyrannical madman who has been in his head since childhood.
he was convinced to kill his father by this madman and regrets doing it so badly his entire moral compass gets upended and he literally kills that same madman The Very Next Fucking Movie, not for power mind you,
but because he wanted to save Rey
He even still regrets killing his father in tros, a point JJ needed to so sloppily rammed in there he just copy pasted a whole fucking scene from his last movie.
Kylo never kills a single civilian throughout the entire trilogy. The town of people he killed at the beginning of TFA are Resistance members. He is not responsible for the planetary system being blown up in TFA that was Hux and Snoke
Kylo Ren Only Kills Combatants Of War For The Entire Trilogy.
(go on @fanfic-lover-girl , go check for yourself. It’s only 3 movies. I’ll watch them with you. Again.
We'll see who's right about these little details, the person who has seen these movies over and over or the person who admits they ain't watched them once)
you just straight up lied about a character to make yourself feel better about your fictional ship.
And that’s just fucking nuts to me man.
What the fuck ass backwards world are we living in that this is the hell you choose to raise? There's 2 wars going on and the fucking nazis are back but this is what you wanna put on blast?
That reylo and dramione are worse ships because the writing isn’t good to you?
I assure you the fans in these fandom have gone above and beyond to fix the bad writing brought on by their imperfect creators but the shit you’re complaining about ain’t even problems. You’re just making shit up
How Fucking Nice must it be to have people who made your media be perf little snowflakes but it is not our fucking fault JJ is a fucking moron and JKRolfing is a massive terf cunt.
(Rian tho is actually perfect and is responsible for 75% of Ben's character growth in canon so bless that man he did his fucking best but I digress-)
People have created whole fucking short animated movies and detailed comics along with incredibly well written fanfictions to correct what they didn't like about the story.
‘death of the author’ at work baby.
Unless you’re the fucking fandom police your opinion on what is good media vs bad mean don’t mean jack fuckin’ shit brah.
so,
kindly,
Fuck off.
PS:
You know being told to kill myself nearly 1000 times over the past year and a half ain’t been a fuckin’ cakewalk enough without the added shit frosting that is people in fandoms trying to talk down to other nearly identical fandoms.
Tumblr media
This banner ain't a fuckin' joke. I have been told to kill myself this many times by antis posting hate into the reylo tag.
Assholes like you are 1000 times worse than all the fictional bad men combined.
You're going after real people.
Do better
Anyhoots here’s a fuckin’ picture of my cat she’s fucking adorable
Tumblr media
Demonization of the Enemies to Lovers Trope
I find it very disingenuous when Zutara antis compare or lump Zutara with problematic ships like Reylo and Dramione. Anyone who makes a claim like this should have not any opinions about ATLA respected. Because they obviously did not watch the show.
There are major differences that set Zutara apart from Reylo and Dramione.
Zutara vs Dramione - Friendship
Zuko and Katara reconciled and became very close friends in season 3. Draco and Hermione disliked each other in canon and the best of their relationship was civility. Dramione could have served the same narrative function as Zutara by representing union after war but Dramione lacked the canon building blocks that Zutara had.
Zutara vs Reylo - Redemption
Zuko has a powerful redemption arc. But even when Zuko was an antagonist, he was never truly evil. And Zuko's actions towards Katara (eg tying her to a tree) were not completely monstrous. Zuko and Katara never crossed any boundaries while enemies. When Katara starts showing compassion to Zuko, it is in season 2 when Zuko is no longer an active threat (eg. offering to heal Iroh and their emotional moment in the catacombs). Compare this to Reylo where there are all these romantic undertones while Reylo and Kylo are still enemies. Kylo also has a worse record than Zuko: murdering his dad, oppressing countless people, killing civilians, and maiming people. And Rey for some reason, before Kylo does anything to deserve it, begins to feel sorry for him. Unlike Zuko, we don't see Kylo truly atone for what he did to Rey. Not to mention the abusive elements in their relationship such as Kylo calling Rey worthless.
The point is that people need to stop demonizing enemies to lovers ships. And stop lumping healthy ships like Zutara with more toxic ships like Dramione and Reylo. It's not a fair comparison.

Hi I am another Elriel shipper that genuinely loves reading you thoughts. While I don’t agree with everything you say I think they are very insightful and thought provoking and I enjoy them . Before I get to my point I just want to say that I am truly sorry on behalf of the Elriel fandom for all the negative that has been going down as of late. As someone who yearns for peace in the fandom and cannot tolerate seeing honest people being torn because of a ship.. seeing this shipwar pains me . I am fairly new to this fandom and I follow many Elriel blogs and pro Elaine and pro Lucien blogs. Some happen to be Elucien shippers too and I find myself gravitating towards them more as people rather than of my fellow Elriel shippers. Don’t get me wrong I still adore Elriel . But I just don’t want to surround myself with certain type of people no longer . My question is , Do you know of any blogs that lean more towards neutral shipping or don’t care about shipping at all?
Hello lovely person!
I'm glad you don't agree with everything I say - I'd assume you weren't really paying attention if you just nodded along like you had a blank smile on your face. I'm sorry the fandom isn't a great experience for you right now. I hope that it changes soon 🤞 In the meantime, ship whatever your heart desires!
These blogs do share similar ships with me, but I know that they either don't participate in the ship war and/or they just vibe. If anyone else wants to recommend their blog as well, feel free! I am not good at going through my dash and I talk so much with people in comments or on discord that I can't remember who is actually active on tumblr.
@cassianandfenrysaremyboyos Lisa and I have been mutuals forever and while we share ships, she's good at just ignoring the BS and doing her own thing
@aelin-godkiller Lou is also a long-time mutual and while she doesn't post quite as much anymore, when she does it's 🔥 she's so smart
@eyllweambassador Ezra is more into ToG, but is a devoted multi/rarepair shipper
@feysandfeels the Lady Lulu to my Lady Lele. She doesn't put up with any anti sjm BS and is a positive space.
@moononastring Yes Gigi is very much an elucien, but she tends to stay away from the drama
@writtenonreceipts lots of fanfic, no drama
@separatist-apologist MB just vibes with whatever she likes in the moment and I appreciate that about her
@gimme-mor is a multishipper - despite being critical of certain portions of the fandom in the past. Can you ask for more?
@ruhncervos Tati just vibes with what she likes
@elains makes lots of lovely aesthetic things
@sjmkinkmeme yes this is my side project with a couple other people, but we only post creative works - no ship war stuff allowed
@tangledraysofsunshine idek if Alex posts that much lol but she is probably the sweetest person you will ever meet in this fandom, and I've known her for a few years. I know. Trust me. The sweetest.
@rayonfrozenwings Renée is the original theory queen
@feyre-cursebreaker Carley always has interesting thoughts
@yazthebookish obviously Yaz has Gwynriel feelings but she has been doing a lot of great theory lately and making posts sorting out all the lore. And if y'all had any idea how much restraint she has shown with this ship war...
and some others for funsies: @darling-archeron @shyvioletcat @starseternalnighttriumphant
I know there are other people who are amazing humans and funny and smart and don't have time for this nonsense, but they may not post much so I might have forgotten to include them.

omg hiii returning to ur askbox for Discourse Reasons :) im so sorry I havent sent u anything recently ive just been busy but ummm just a disclaimer this is /nm and i think this just all has to do with us having different expierences for various reasons but i have seen a lot more dt stans absolutely shit on sbi for no reason or shit on them just bc an sbi stan (a lot of whom even like dt) made an offhanded/poorly worded criticism of one/all of them and it's just been. very upsetting? bc i used to like dteam a lot more but now it feels hard for me personally to engage in dt fan spaces/content bc a lot of those same people posting about dt are the people who ive seen actively take something that wasnt That Deep in poor faith and just shit on sbi to piss off the op instead of realizing the ccs have literally nothing to do with this stuff and if you have a problem with the stans you dont need to take it out on the ccs. obviously this can go both ways, sbi stans arent innocent in this, i just know ive personally had to block and unfollow a lot of people for shitting on sbi when their anger was actually targeted at stans who half the time werent even actually spreading hate, just criticism. this is probably just bc of who i follow but that doesnt make it any less annoying to see dteam stans pop up out of nowhere on my dash just bc they came for an sbi stan for something that wasnt actually an issue until they decided to make it an issue (ie somebody expressing their own reasons why they dont like dteam with proper tagging so fans dont see it unless they literally look for it and then still somehow ending up getting dogpiled) which then turns into like a 3 day long discourse between the two sides of mcytblr.
anyways, thanks for listening to my 2 cents! like i said, /nm i was just getting really frustrated about this earlier and then i saw you talking bit about it so i am taking adventure of ur willingness to respectfully discourse and doing so lol
hope you've been well!

Tooth :D I hope you've been well too - no worries about not being around, I've also been v busy. Just glad you're still here tbh <3
I definitely have had that experience on Twitter, not here, but I'm really sorry you have. It sucks that we've both had ANY sort of experience like that, considering how adamantly people proclaim mcytblr to be the most superior of the platforms, but I digress.
"if you have a problem with the stans you dont need to take it out on the ccs" is just so right... and honestly vice versa too. Like as much as I am a fan of the creators, they're so removed from us that I feel like so much regarding them is so... distant. Whereas you and I (or any two people, I mean) are right here, right now, and if we have a problem (or don't !) it's really between us.
I know it can be frustrating to see people against the creators you like, but dteamblr (they're not really an organized group, but summarized for the sake of) comes close to dttwt in defensiveness sometimes. And I get it, I get the urge too, but it still does cause problems with people who are trying to exist within their own space and I do think that the worst dteam stans - on every platform - are some of the most concerning people in this fandom. I don't know how we've normalized threats and the like but OH BOY. Chill a little.
Idk. I hope you find joy in dt spaces again because it's not fair that people took that from you :/ and I hope the people of dteamblr stop going for peoples' throats all the time; sometimes it's okay to just let it be. Not everyone's gonna like you or the creators you do, and making a problem out of it or something like it is just petty.
