Control, War, Change
Some time ago, the War Devil tried to end the world for the fun of it. He died in the attempt.
Some time later, the Control Devil tried to rob humanity of its free will for the sake of making a perfect world. She died in the attempt.
Now, everyone in special division four is wants something. Lute seeks revenge, Vaggie wants to know who she is, and Charlie dreams of peace between devils and humanity. And Adam?
Adam is going to save the world.
Or; the fic with Chainsaw Man's setting and Hazbin's characters that follows the plot of neither and can be read without knowing either.

May I ask on how you choose your colors when you color your art pieces? It is so pretty to look at the colors of your art, and I want to color like that, but color picking is very hard q-q
here's!! uh, the general areas in the color wheel where i try to pick depending on the vibe
Tumblr media
highly inaccurate because tbh i just color pick directly or try to guess the colors from my references and just adjust them to be a little bit more pastel or to the atmosphere and if i have their colors memorized (such as ink or dream), i just pick by memory or by my modified colors LOL
Tumblr media
color your scrunkly!
Tumblr media
set your line work to multiply and lock opacity
Tumblr media
i use warm tones for white ish colors so uhhh idk whatever warm color from here
Tumblr media Tumblr media
color the line work!!!!! ofc, shift the hue depending on the undertones of the surrounding colors the skull color is a warm off-white, the undershirt is a blue-ish off-white, scarf is warm brown, so on and so on the multiply function rly helps just blend things into the palette a little more, but if ur confident enough, you dont have to set it to multiply at all for extra variation
Tumblr media
minimal shading by just taking the surrounding colors n adjusting the hue slightly n its value n saturation gives it a very messy cel shaded look! been into it lately and stuff
Tumblr media
and then i add a few overlays using the pin light layer mode! i usually use these two colors together, it gives the right amount of pastel colors that really appeals to me
if you have access to gradient maps, i recommend using them lots! it makes the pieces look a little more cohesive the pin light layer mode imitates it n is very versatile if u cant use them though (like me when im just doodling on sai)
that's it!!! that's the basic rundown of how i color i'm not very well versed in color theory so i can only do very basic color picking tips, but maybe next time i can offer ways on how to color more atmospherically!
Tumblr media
have a nice time coloring your blorbos ✨

Hey what if I did, like, a lets play of On Air Island but! an interactive one where we collectively choose the next option (via a poll) would anyone play with me
Um yeah to expound on that thought
What's On Air Island?
On Air Island is a game I'm currently brainrotting about.
The genre is stated as horror/thriller but even if you're not a fan of these genres id say still check it out because im not a fan either and Yet
This is perhaps because the game has a strong mystery element and encourages multiple replays/going back to try out different options (theres a really comfortable to use mechanic for that too!) so theres this drive to uncover more of the story. Which is why I'm still playing despite having finished all 40 endings already (yes, thats forty endings)
Quick plot blurb: the plot follows the cast and crew of a survival show called 'Never Stop Watching!' set up on a remote island. The show's unique setting is that every cast member streams their experience, and the winner is determined by the number of donations they receive on their stream. However, the island is not as simple as it appears, and soon enough the rankings will be the least of the cast's problems! (Que horror/thriller elements)
Why interactive Let's Play?
The thing I found the most refreshing about OAI is that you, the player, do not play as the protagonist, but rather as one of the viewers on the protagonist's stream. When the absence of 'i would not fucking say/do that' experience hits lol. Because of such setting, aside from the main cast, the presence of Observers - the fellow viewers - is strongly felt throughout the story as well. EzraHanse girlies in the chat you will always be famous. And... sometimes other Observers have completely different ideas about what's good for blorbo from your streams!
Then, since I run a poll aggregator blog and see like hundreds of polls a day, the vision of in-game choices and tumblr polls overlapped in my brain...
...and I thought, hey, wouldn't it be extremely atmospheric and true to in-game experience to have a bunch of people chipping in to determine the advice and tasks the protagonist receives from his viewers? Thus, the idea of doing an interactive lets play was born.
What are the pros of participating in the Let's Play, instead of just playing the game?
Well, first of all, this is absolutely my dastardly plan to make y'all play the game, make no mistake!
That said, if you aren't sure you are interested in playing it, you can experience the story in bite-sized chunks (i just vidded the prologue up to the first choice, and its less than 2 minutes!) on a semi-daily basis, with a little dopamine hit of clickin' the button at the end <3
Another thing is that making 'a donation' - ie, a choice in game - requires in-game currency. There are various ways to farm currency and there are almost always cheaper choices available, however! Since I already played and replayed multiple times, I have many choices unlocked, and it'll be easy for me to farm for the remaining ones. Especially now that I got all the endings and the desire to find the best one no longer plagues me so. So - you can experience the game while avoiding the grind!
And, ofc, as I've mentioned before, having many viewers/Observers would be very true to the atmosphere of the game. Ideally, I would hope for some discussion in the comments too, to parallel the in-game chat! This is also why I hope people who already played the game will participate too 👉👈 The more Observers we have the better, right? ;3
What if I don't vibe with watching videos / miss something / etc?
I'm planning to have a transcript available for each video, and something like a story-so-far post that you can check out to get up to date at any point. I also figure I'll be adjusting the format along the way, if we can get this party started at all, so feel free to suggest improvements to me at any time!

The main joke of stede's character is that he's an idiot boss. Like yes he's the romantic lead, but it's a *workplace* romcom. He's basically more deliberate and focused speedran Michael Scott to the nth degree, an idiot (and even bit of an jackass) boss unaware of his privileges treating things like a game and acting like their family, the employees don't like learn to care about him as we learn of his issues and that he does truly mean well and is slowly learning to be better and gaining confidence. The arc doesn't work if he isn't a bit of an ass. The show never makes Stede a joke in bad faith, like the bullying or harassment of the Badmintons'. It's only teasing him or pokes fun of him when he's being a foolish or a jerk. Sometimes you tease your mates, it's all out of love and fun. That's what the show does to Stede, because it likes him and want him to learn, but also knows he's not perfect. It's not fair to Ed to have a partner that doesn't grow and is perfect, and it's not fair to Stede's character arc and growth to simplify him. I do not get why stans of any character are so adamant that the story being told is not allowed to be a story it is telling.
lol i thought i'd posted it already but in my drafts i had a post i was working on abt the "workplace comedy" angle on ofmd that i never finished:
idk if this is just my take but i feel like the "it's a workplace comedy, on a boat!" thing was supposed to be, like. a joke. and then people started actually incorporating it into how they analyze character dynamics in this show. like. this is not The Office. they're not clocking into a 9-to-5 here. they kill and steal for a living, and when they're not killing and stealing, they're stuck in the place where they make their living. the Revenge isn't like, an office building, they fucking live there. it's their house. the setting of a goddamn pirate ship in the middle of the ocean in 1717 is very fucking different from the setting of an office building in a small town where everyone can drive away when work is done. the atmosphere on the Revenge is a LOT less professional than the settings of actual workplace comedies. and more importantly, the relationships and the character dynamics on the Revenge are different from what you'd expect from professional coworkers in a modern setting. what i'm saying is that some of the ofmd analysis i've seen seems like… really focused on putting everyone into "boss" and "employee" categories. and like, to a certain degree, thinking about it that was is helpful—if you think of izzy as a shitty middle manager for a different company, it makes sense why none of stede's crew ever fucking listen to him. but trying to analyze these characters like they have normal modern jobs and trying to look at the power dynamics between these characters like how you'd analyze the power dynamics that exist between you and your boss at McDonald's is like, extremely reductive. and also wrong???
idk where i was going with this post anymore lol BUT im going to use it here to say that anon... please don't compare my beloved blorbo stede bonnet to michael scott ever again fhsgjkhfdjgfj
