#polls #tumblr polls #For me I think the top ones would be the House. The Money. or the Friend Group. But I ultimately might would go for the house #JUST becuase it would be my Dream House which means it would already meet mostly all of my specifications #and what I might be looking for. which would save a lot of time searching or customizing/rennovating.#Also because I could use that as a way to leave the US lol.. like .. if I get to choose my dream location.. couldnt I just choose some othe #country?? But I wonder how that works. Can you legally 100% have full ownership of a property in a country yet not be a citizen of that #country?? Would you show up and be like 'erm.. i own this house.. so i shall now live in it' and theyd be like 'uh no. you cant live here #despite owning the house. leave.' ??#So I think the initial process of 1. scraping together funds to actually MOVE myself and my most valuable belongings physically #TO another country. and 2. figuring out how to STAY in that country . might end up being difficult.. BUT. if I could just work that #part of things out then.. dream house?? security for once in my life?? stability?? :0 #Though the $1mil is enticing it's also like.. I feel .. with the way housing prices are now... that's not much???#it's a lot I guess if you plan on like.. investing half the money and staying in an apartment for 5 years while you grow your wealth #or something. but if you're a 'I Need Stability NOW' ready to settle down person who would be most interested in owning a property rather #than nice clothes or a car or whatever other investments you could make then.. eh..?? It seems like unless you're okay with living in #a small town or kind of far away from the city - even some SMALL houses in majorly populated areas in the US will be like #$600.000 - $900.000 or something. like that would be MOST of my money. Which I know you could just pay partially and make #payments on it but idk.. in the option of just outright owning the house it seems like it'd end up being cheaper.#Plus I would want to own it fully asap because I'd be afraid of losing it somehow otherwise. like it being taken for medical bills or #something. which I thought was supposed to be - not IMPOSSIBLE - slightly more complicated legally if you actually have #paid off the house in full. I guess the issue then would be utilities and property tax and such. But I feel like thats overcome-able??#Like I could just stipulate that my Dream House has a little furnished addition or something and then find someone #with money and be like 'Look you can live in this extremely nice area with amazing ameneties and updated everything and ALL you have #to do is give me money to cover the utilities and property tax.'' or something like that. Like the little furnished addition is nicer #than the actual house. they have their own pool and spa and movie room or something and Ill also cook all their meals for them #or whatever (how luxurious it would be depeneds on how high the property tax actually is/how much I would need to entice them into #why it's a good deal for them to pay it for me lol). idk... something like that.. ANYWAY #I asked a few people I know though and one of them answered they'd rather have a romantic partner. the other one said they'd like #to be able to choose someone to die lol.. So I'm curious what people value the most

It's really funny that you ask this now, because I've actually been working on the prologue/first chapter of this AU recently and am hoping to finish the draft this weekend, and then post the chapter soon after 👀 your timing is impeccable haha

I'll give you a few crumbs because I don't want to spoil anything important even though I really want to waaaaahhhhhh

Past Burning Spice (or Herald of Change) calls Golden Cheese "little dove" as opposed to just "little bird". There's a reason for it, but I won't say what it is yet. You'll see why in the story

Past Burning Spice/Herald of Change is actually seen as quite the heartthrob. Incredibly handsome and thrice as strong. Intelligent and jovial. Selfless, heroic, larger than life. A god amongst men in more ways than one. But he hardly ever notices anyone's attention/affection, and when he does, he always turns them down; he's not interested in romance. Doesn't really see the point. Seems kind of fanciful, honestly. Hunting and fighting are more fun. Or... that's how he thought of it, before his little dove appeared. Now he suddenly sees what the fuss is about...

I cannot stress how absolutely, unequivocally jarring it is for Golden Cheese to see Burning Spice like this. She only knew him as a bloodthirsty monster. Now he's a warm, kind leader and guide, loved and worshiped by all. Whiplash doesn't begin to cover it. Never mind that he keeps... smiling at her. And going out of his way to talk to her and spend time with her. And... ugh, is he flirting with her? What is going on? The audacity! In both the past AND the future! Some things never change, it seems

Golden Cheese gets encouraged to give Past Spice/Herald a chance, more than once, by... someone or another. I won't say who

Past Spice/Herald seeks romantic advice from... someone or another, won't say who. It really goes to show how badly he wishes to win her over, though

He's quite touchy-feely, especially with her (she doesn't like it but he's persistent). Something you'll see him do in particular is cup her chin and run/brush his thumb over her lips. A simple gesture that's meant to be sweet and adoring (and becomes extremely important later on in the story, trust me. No I will not explain)

They do go on at least one (1) date. No, you do not get to know what happens. Buuuuut I'll say that it's not perfect. (But it goes better than one would expect)

She does... warm up to him. Slowly. Accidentally. No, she isn't happy about it... at least for a while. Who would've thought his charms would actually work on her...

Timekeeper is having a fucking blast watching all of this go on, this is her new favorite soap opera, she is SO glad she made this decision, she can worry about the massive consequences later

#I'm sorry this isn't much :( I can't tell you everything just yet. gotta get the story ready #I'm so excited for it you guys really have no idea. having seen at least the rough outlines of all the romances now I have to say that I think emmrich's is probably objectively the best in terms of coherence and completeness of story arc (with the understanding that ultimately the 'best' romance is whichever one makes YOUR heart sing anyway so objectivity is a silly thing to claim that way, it just felt like it's the arc with the most well-paced focused content and the least dangling threads)... but lucanis' is my favourite haha. just. the whole kneeling before your beloved full of reverence but without any of the distance that usually implies??? his complete undramatic certainty and calm in every scene with rook after this, having spent the whole game caught between fear and longing???? mr. lives in a pantry but it says nothing about my psyche don't worry about it it's purely for tactical reasons that I keep myself contained in a small dark room not entirely unlike a cell, love among the parsnips -- finally coming to rook in their room and it's so comfortable and comforting???? after all the times rook supports and comforts him through the game he's finally able to return the same to them when they need it while being so calm and steady and it's so fucking sweet and feels so effortless and with no price attached?????? he basically assigns himself the role of your bodyguard and he WILL stab a god over it??????????????? the turn to protector (which was in his heart all along longing to get out and find a place) of it all????? he sounds like he's found himself unexpectedly stumbling into such a soul-lightening state of revelatory existential relief, full on 'you only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves' mary oliver style, and he goes and he shares that with rook and protectively envelops them in it when they're hurting??????????????????????????? hello for the maker's sake hello can anyone hear me?????

#listen I was forged in the fires of garrusmancing. I went through two whole games just to get a gentle headbutt and some tender words #before me3 comes along and rewards you for your tenacity more fully #me? the reyes romancer???? I have the strength and headcanon game to bear the relative lack of content before the end #when the endgame is this good I am willing to hold out for it haha the way he looks at rook towards the end......#I also really liked taash' (it's really sweet) but I don't think I have any rooks ready to go right now who would go for that vibe #emmrich for sure is going to be my either crow or shadow dragon romance it really is very good! and extremely goth not unrelatedly #undeniably that old man has the most game out of anyone in this story. the move with the flower???
