I can totally see Byakuya oversleeping on accident in which he freaks out a bit cus he never oversleeps (or just sleeping in without meaning too when it's over the weekend or something). I mean, Byakuya just gives off the vibes of a guy who has a set schedule for his daily activities. Like, he wakes up at 5am every day. He's still susceptible to sleeping in now and again in this happens because of major burnout. He is in denial though about his major burnout. Makoto probably has to like, kinda calm him down a bit. Not that Byakuya's REALLY freaking out tho. Just needs some reassurance. As much as the heir wants to pretend that he doesn't want human contact and interaction, he kinda craves it with Makoto, especially when the two start dating and basically living together. But, for that reassurance, maybe Makoto ruffles his hair and Byakuya just completely freezes like his brain is a windows error screen.

Makoto is then like, "Oh crud! Did I make you uncomfortable?" And Byakuya kinda just sits there for a bit cus he's still processing what just happened. My guy is just in shock. Or, who knows. What if Makoto tries to hug him instead or he offers to. And Byakuya is just lost so he just nods without even thinking. Then, Makoto pulls him into a hug, but he accidently pokes him in a sensitive area. Cue hijinks. And by hijinks, I mean the two of these goobers trying to one up each other via wrestling. Or kissies. Or wrestling and kissies. Neither of them are winning though. Also, side note like, the image of these two roughhousing is quite... interesting. Like, it's not what you'd FULLY expect from them, but it's oddly cute. It's just the two of them being comfortable enough to get a bit rowdy with one another. Like, why is that cute? Why is that cute?!?!? WHY MUST MU BRAIN FUCTION IN A WAY THAT MAKES ME FIND THIS CONCEPT SUPER FREAKING CUTE?!?!?!?!

I've definitely answered that question before but I'm also not going back in my archive to find it lol. (on a side note, did tumblr change how archiving works? because looking at anyone's archive is eating up my memory like crazy, and it absolutely has not done that in the other twelve years I've been on this website)

I mostly just add like 4-6 inches onto their canon height, (that's 10-15 cm for you and anyone else whose country follows a logical measurement system) because their canon heights are ridiculously short. I can't remember what April is supposed to be but I remember her literally being short enough to qualify for dwarfism. She is either at or nearly at her adult height and looks to be about average/slightly below average compared to her fellow high schoolers, so realistically she couldn't be that short. We also see Donnie being taller than most of April's classmates, who would be juniors or seniors and also at their adult heights, which makes no sense considering his canon height of 5'3. Or maybe that's normal for New York, I'm dimly aware that midwesterners are taller than average for some reason, (Nordic blood? Grains? The cold? who knows!) but I'm 5'5 and I'm somewhat short here.

Raph is canonically six feet tall, which is tall but not that tall, and he's shown to be a lot bigger than pretty much every human on the street. So I say he started off a bit taller. Plus it's been two years since the beginning of the show and the boys are still growing, (will be for a while, if Future Leo is anything to go by) so he's closer to seven feet now than he is to 6. He'll get very large. Into double digits, easily. Right now he's shorter than Draxum, but not by much. And obviously much, much heavier.

Donnie and Leo are pretty average-sized compared to human males of their age, but of course they're sill getting bigger while most boys their age are done growing. Gale is at least a foot shorter than Draxum, probably more he comes up to like his chest. They'll both end up pretty tall, but probably not as tall as Draxum.

idk whether Mikey would grow tall himself if he didn't cap himself off at the knees overusing his mystics or if he's just doomed to remain a shrimphead forever. He gets a pass on being tiny because mutant biology just be like that sometimes.

hello all! i'm looking to step back into writing & roleplaying after an abrupt hiatus for very personal reasons. my apologies to anyone i may have been in talks with before. if you are still interested, definitely feel free to reach back out! but i want nothing more right now than to write for my comfort fandom, attack on titan.

❧ 18+ writers only. preferably 21+. i'm a 26 year old woman and only interested in writing with people near my own age or older.

❧ third-person, past-tense, multi-paragraph. descriptive writing is highly preferred. "pointless" details that fully bring the scene to life are my bread and butter. i love knowing how the characters are feeling at any given moment, their internal struggles, or character building of any sort. not everything needs to be action and dialogue. i love a good mix of everything.

❧ my post length ranges anywhere from a couple of paragraphs per character to 1k onwards. at the moment, i'm not really looking to do major novella like i have in the past. shorter responses are what i'm really craving rn.

I'm making a separate post detailing his lore. Here's a quick basic rundown/synopsis for now. Stuff is subject to change as I figure out lore.

Jay is roughly 17/18 during the main comics and pilots, like the guys, and 26/27 during the epilogue. They're the youngest and shortest of the group.

Jay is also trans!! He uses exclusively he/him during the main comics and pilot, but switches to primarily they/them in the epilogue though they're still cool with he/him, too.

I headcanon that the guys created the club sometime in middle school when they were around 12/13. Jay joined shortly after the club's formation and was given the role of secretary of video games.

Like the others, his love of video games started out as genuine innocent enjoyment and a desire to have fun with his friends, but turned into an unhealthy obsession pushed into being a gatekeeping snob. The type to cry "fake fan" if you haven't put 300+ hours into each and every game within a series. By the epilogue, they've mellowed out significantly and has turned around to trying to make games and provide resources for up and coming developers like themself. Redemption Arc type stuff.

Bit of an artist during the comics, and can't take any criticism either. Will either blow up in anger or burst into tears, depends on if he's on his period lol. He gets severely burned on his right arm (his dominant hand) after Bill burns the comic shop down. He's still able to move and use his arm, but not with as wide of a range of motion as before. Best comparison I can make (until I draw it) is Dunban's arm in Xenoblade Chronicles, but they can still grab/grip things decently well. After becoming disabled, Jay leans more into 3D modeling and 3D art since drawing is much more exhausting/painful.

Bill and Jay develop crushes on each other shortly after meeting. They eventually figure out each other's crushes, but refuse to admit it due to pure nervousness. However, as they become more toxic people, it turns more into hostility and aggression. Constantly getting into arguments and fighting. They make each other worse </3

At some point between Bring Me The Head Of Boba Fett and Bread and Suck-Asses, they do try to start dating when Jay points out how their constant bickering is bringing down the club. They decide to just suck it up, admit to each other's faces they like each other, and start dating. Worst mistake of their lives tbh.

After The Intervention, things kind of get a little better for not only them, but between the entire friend group. Arguments are a little less intense, they don't get kicked out of Bill's house as often, and they actually start acting like friends again.

But all of that crumbles when Bill tries to get a job at Joe's comic shop. He starts spiralling and undoing all of his progress with mending his friendships and relationship, and ultimately still causes the events of This Fan... This Monster!. The fire destroys not only the shop but any chance of Jay and Bill remaining together.

And then even more stuff between This Fan... This Monster! and the epilogue + post canon stuff that I still gotta write aaaaaaaa

Missing Digidestined Theory

Hi and welcome to my humble abode. Tonight at 4 am, I'm going to (try) to make sense of some Digimon shit. Namely the number of Digidestined in Adventure's world, and how that correlates to a certain statement from the producers. This is entirely headcanon, possibly AU, and also made at 4-6 am. It also contains spoilers for the new 02 movie. There is a brief mention of child death. And it ends with complaints about the timeline and epilogue.

EDIT: This is no longer solid for several reasons, mainly conflicting information in 02 the Beginning, the presentation of clear AU as a theory, and the use of a ship blog as a source. On the first, I had not seen the movie yet (and now have doubts that Lui was really "the first", but that's a theory that basically ends in "Daigo/Maki's group were still first"). On the latter two points, I really should know better, and I apologize.

I have closed notifications due to some rude behavior, so I won't see any updates on this. However, I also deleted the original edit mentioning that since it itself was rude. There's really no reason to leave this up, except I like the idea generally and for archival purposes. If you still wish to read it, it is stored below. Just get ready for 40 year old Lui, lol.

I'll hook you with this- there weren't five Digidestined globally in Maki's time. There were eight.

This goes off a statement from one of the producers. You can read it all here.

Basically, the number of Digidestined worldwide would double. This ensures everyone would have a Digimon partner by 2027 (aka, the epilogue).

Doing the math- the number would exceed the global population (approximately 8 billion people) in 2020 (becoming 16,777,216 to be precise- 2019 cuts it close with 8,388,608, but the math is not wrong either way).

The exact statement says this "doubling" occurred from the Parrotmon incident forward. I personally believe that's BS because Willis exists. He receives Gummymon and Kokomon around the same time that the original Botamon spawns. There's also Meiko, Ken, and Ryo (depending on how you interpret the WonderSwan games). Meaning the number of Digidestined is higher than 8, and possibly already doubling.

Let's assume Lui is the first Digidestined. He seems to be around his early 20s (or ages really well- maybe it's Maybelline). Then Daigo and Maki's team came after him. Then Adventure team and so-on.

This all rides around this comment, as there are no official ages for Daigo, Maki, or Lui and we need them. User SharpeBB from With the Will points out the following, which I used as it's the only logical explanation I can find.

So based on this theory- assuming they were 11/12 when they were chosen, and Maki's age in the flashback is as SharpeBB claims, the original Digidestined would have set out on their mission in 1987 (using the age of 9 as a baseline for reasons I will explain later and computing in Maki's age of 21).

I assume for this theory that Maki was a Digidestined for at least two years prior to losing Tapirmon (referring to the flashback involving the Harmonious Ones). My tri. knowledge is a bit rusty. But since that flashback occurs in the Digital World, I'll have to assume she met Tapirmon in the real world, there was time fuckery similar to Adventure, adults were looking for the members of that team in the Real World, or any combination of the three.

So- 27 (Maki's age) minus 9 (assumed age when first she became a Digidestined) is 18. 18 years before tri. in 2005 was 1987.

There are five of these "original kids"- Daigo, Maki, and three unnamed ones. But you may notice that five is not an even number, nor a multiple of two. The lowest number of Digidestined that must exist globally at that time is eight. This doesn't mean for Maki's team specifically- they could be in another country, like the numerous American Digidestined.

So going backwards- there would be four Digidestined (globally) in 1986, two in 1985, and one (Lui) in 1984.

Incidentally, Lui was born on a leap year...which 1972 is. Using the baseline of 12 years (based on the above image), he would be 40 in 02 the Beginning. Let's just say he ages well.

So I bet you're tired of BS- let's get to the meat and potatoes. How many Digidestined really exist by the time of Adventure? Well, with 12 years between 1987 (original Digidestined) and 1999...the answer is 32,768.

Remember that not all Digidestined go to the Digital World. Some of this number might have died (we can't rule out "accidents" in the Digital World entirely, nor death via other means). Others might have stayed in the Real World and never went to the Digital World. Still others might have let their inner child- and partner- die (see Kizuna). But given the time gap between Daigo/Maki's team and 1999 alone, I don't think all 32,000+ of them were twiddling their thumbs.

There's more threats out there that we don't know about. There's more dead kids than we can fathom. And worse still, this only accelerates the amount of time until everyone has a Digimon. It would exceed the global population in 2009 with 16,777,216- that same number from the start- three years before 02 the Beginning.

Yet we can see that this is not the case. Ukkomon's MO is to give everyone a Digimon partner, which the world is not ready for. Recall that the production team claims the worldwide doubling occurred starting with Tai's team. Including those eight and the four outliers I mentioned, everyone would have a Digimon by 2019 (with an estimated 12,582,912 partnerships- this exceeds the global population). In 2012, this number is merely 98,304. Which makes sense for the Ukkomon plot.

So I wasted your time. Except...

I still feel this math doesn't account for things like Daigo/Maki's team and Lui. The producer's math states there are 64 Digidestined globally by 2002. But this cannot be the case as how do the Digidestined from before- or even kids like Willis- factor in? Like, they fit numerically, but how did they find their partners? Why were they chosen? Especially those before 1999, if it all connects to the Botamon in Japan? Also- assuming Lui is as young as he looks (i.e.- around Davis's age) makes Maki older than him...which makes no sense, given the average age someone becomes a Digidestined and her own assumed age.

It makes more sense for Lui to look really good for forty than the entire timeline does if we assume that the doubling began in 1999.

And this is because of two issues. One is "left hand not talking to right hand" throughout the Adventure timeline. There's simply no communication between departments (especially for the WonderSwan games, the canonicity of which is flaky even in my own personal timeline). This has resulted in other plot holes throughout Adventure canon.

Another is a hardcore determination to keep the epilogue canon, despite conflicting elements from tri. on forward. The link at the very beginning attempts to explain the epilogue, yet includes some absolutely bonkers explanations for things like why Matt became an astronaut (basically, there's extraterrestrial threats made in response to digivolution, and the Dark Masters are implied to be one of them, despite actually being linked to Apocalymon- is he also an alien???).

There was supposed to be a season 3 that would have evened out a lot of this (I'm afraid I forgot the link- if someone has it, let me know so I can add it). But we never got it, so the epilogue will never make logical sense. Almost all attempts to canonize it cause batshit lore to enter the chat, or it simply does not mesh with batshit lore from tri. onwards.

Both of these elements cause massive plot holes that make the 1999 doubling pace simply not work. So I'll play with this AU/headcanon some more. Besides, I personally find the idea of Digidestined hiding for decades interesting...

The fact that the majority of the ships I ship aren't canon in their media is a tragedy. But I'm starting to think that writing interesting enjoyable romances with actual chemistry where one part of the pairing doesn't either act like they're more in love with someone else or like they don't really like their partner is just like, a super rare hard to achieve thing for media writers somehow.

Because off the top of my head, I feel like I could count the amount of canon endgame relationships in media I like where I don't like something non-canon twice as much without hitting the double digits.

So like, if my ships became canon they might not even be well done and I might wind up not liking them that much anymore, like with what happened to Ren and Nora in rwby. Loved that ship until the writers who suck at romance started focusing on them and writing them as this big important romance. Now I only really ship them in headcanons and while throwing Jaune in there too as a polyamory. Because the writers sucked so badly at their romance that it kinda put me off the pairing. If my ships became canon, most of them would probably wind up like that.

DA02:TB WAS AMAZING!! Personally, I enjoyed it WAY more than Last Evo Kizuna, and that's really saying something since I think about DA:LEK a lot. I'll be talking about spoilers and my thoughts down under the readmore line!

Okay, so I'll start off with the one thing I somewhat dislike first before getting to positives and just gushing about details: I didn't really like the fact that the digivices dissolved. That's it, really. This is mostly because I'm a bit worried about how travel between the human world and the digital world would work, now. (Also, maybe this is just my Miyakari brainrot, but I was thinking about how this would make it harder for Hikari to visit Miyako... it's ok, my lore brain comes before any kind of shipping brain, but I'm a little bit sad.) Personally, I'm just headcanoning for fun that they eventually can just. Go into digital screens persona-4-style since I think that would be goofy, but that's probably not going to happen lol.

On Rui: I was really pleasantly surprised at how he's written!! Honestly, I felt his frusturation; honestly, I was a bit peeved at what Hikari said to him when he first told the 02 team about the time he broke his digivice due to what Ukkomon did, because even though I agreed with her on what she was saying, I felt like she was ignoring his point of view and his understandable grief. (People aren't perfect when responding to other people's trauma all the time though, so I don't mind from a story perspective.)

I really liked Ukkomon's weird eldritch tentacle form. The tree branches make me think that it's probably Yggsdrasil that Ukkomon has contact with? Since they didn't specify what Ukkomon's connection is, I really hope they explore it more in the future with more episodes, or maybe even another animated series. (Though, maybe a movie would be better for the sake of a more polished end result? Idk, more digimon content is always welcome to me.)

The one scene of Daiken baiting was kinda funny but a little sad since yknow it's queerbait and we know it won't happen canonically due to the epilogue 😭 and the directors doubled down on the epilogue in interviews so we know its not happening... I remember clearly seeing Daisuke blush, but I think Ken was largely unaffected, which, if that blush is anything other than embarrassment, has some slightly sad one-sided connotations. (I'm a Bi Daisuke truther. Maybe I'm delusional. Who cares it's for fun)

This is just a small detail, but I noticed that Silphymon's voice (in the dub at least) (I watch sub usually but the only viewings near my area for both today and tomorrow were dub viewings) was just Tailmon's voice and had none of Hawkmon's voice, which was kinda interesting? It doesn't matter much, it just stuck out to me. I thought it was kinda funny.

I do wish the 02 cast interacted with each other a bit more, but I'm not nearly as bitter about that as I thought I would be, since Rui was a main character I enjoyed. If there's more digimon media in the future that riffs off of this movie, I *would* like it if the 02 cast got more focus, but Rui is a welcome addition to me. (I hope they all get to meet Wallace again at some point... that would be really fun [said by a person who has Hurricane Touchdown as their favorite movie])

Overall, I thought the movie was really good. It had a few other issues, and as someone who's used to the sub I found that the dub voices weren't *entirely* my favorite (except Rui, Rui's performance was excellent), but they didn't bother me as much as I thought they would, making for an amazing experience imo. Review sites I've looked at put it at a B, but for my personal opinion, it's one of the best pieces of digimon media in a LONG time. I'd recommend that you watch it yourself to form your own opinions though (if you haven't watched it and are still reading this for some reason hah) since that's what really matters.

Ngl I think that Kai knew what being the chosen one actually meant since the very beginning, even if he didn't portray it like that in the beginning.

He knew that responsibility was a lot, and once he figured out that it was a mere child who wasn't even in the double digits who had to bear that responsibility, he just wished it was himself even more because he didn't want Lloyd to have such a burden that he's known for a long fucking time. He knows what it's like not having that childhood, He knows what it's like to have a big responsibility, even if his wasn't as big as Lloyd's was at the time to him it felt like he was holding up the weight of the entire world just for his sister, and now he's determined to help the little green child who has been chosen to save the world of Ninjago.

Kai wished so badly for it to be him because he didn't want anyone else to have to deal that burden with tons and tons of weight on it. He just wanted to bear the burden of the world on his shoulders so nobody else had too.

Even if it was hidden behind the mask of just wanting to be someone special from the beginning...or maybe that wasn't a mask either, even if he knew the consequences.

I know I'm looking to much into this for a kids lego show but I honestly believe this. Like I headcanon this as Canon because it's just that surreal to me and I love it 🧡

Anonymous Asks

Anon asks are now open, but there are are RULES! Please follow them to make sure they stay open for a long time!

If I get anon hate or an anon talks N$FW to me (or is in general being really weird/creepy), anon asks will close for a week. Each time after doubles the previous penalty, and one week of no anon hate (while anon is on) takes a day off the next penalty.

So essentially, the first penalty comes around, wears off, and there's two weeks before the next hate/nsfw message comes in. The time where anon asks are off is then 12 days, because 7*2-2=12. The minimum penalty time is 7 days, so you can never go below that.

If people start exploiting this, the penalty will begin to triple and it will take two weeks to take off a day, and the next time I see exploitation it goes to quadrupling and three weeks to take off a day, and so on and so forth.

I am NOT going to tell you when anon asks are turned on and off. You'll have to see for yourself.

Hopefully this will discourage anon hate. And remember, I CAN SEE WHO IS VISITING MY ACCOUNT!! Even if you don't follow me or interact, I can see it through the "Biggest fans." a/n - I know you mentioned any of the three, but since I'm late in reply, I shall gift you three of them in this scenario! It's getting a little long, so I will just post three different parts!

Sakusa Kiyoomi

Sakusa can be blunt, a little insensitive to others, and sometimes a jerk. 

Especially when he has turned you down for the twentieth time. 

Your teammates noticed that everything in the gymnasium was set up and ready for practice. 

It was a clear sign that Sakusa had rejected you again. 

Of course, you were far from Sakusa’s ideal type. 

Who would like girls that are so persistent and do not tire? 

As the captain of the Judo team, the team's male members always offered to go ‘teach’ that Sakusa bastard how to treat a lady right — quoted by them. 

After hours of persuading and bribing, your teammates finally got you to let go of Sakusa. 

Summer vacation was coming up, but competition season was around the corner, so no holidays. 

A couple of schools have sent invitations to Itachiyama. Together with the vice-captain, the club advisors and coaches, they sorted out and invited them to join their summer training camp. 

Now, with their new training regime and her friends occupying her, Sakusa was out of her mind, temporarily. 

Sakusa noticed the absence of your presence in his life and…felt kind of empty.

He would sneakily walk past your classroom to see if you were there, but you were not there. 

To be honest, he missed the times when you would excitedly greet him in the hallways, your poor attempts at making umeboshi onigiri or how she quickly lifted up his mood. 

As much as he hated it, Sakusa went to Komori for some advice. 

“Let me get his straight. When you see her, your heart races, your mood improves, and she makes you feel better. You definitely like her. After so many years, you finally just realised that you have feelings for her?” Sakusa just kept quiet and continued to stretch. 

Like you? As in romantically? Really? 

It was as if Komori could read his mind and decided to push Sakusa a little more. 

“You know…I heard our school is inviting some schools to join their Judo training camp, and the guys are very interested in y/n.” Hearing that, Sakusa frowned and got up from his spot. 

Komori lets out a laugh knowing that he has successfully made Sakusa understand his feelings and maybe evoke a little feeling of jealousy.

Your parents were called to the school because your results were a little concerning, and you were in the last year of high school; there are the college entrance examinations that, with your current results…it is pretty worrying. 

“Wow, honey, she sure got your genes~!” Your mother laughs as your teacher presents your result slip to them. 

Your father took over the slip, read it closer, and then started laughing. 

“Like father, like daughter! At least it’s double-digit!” Your father slaps your back, and you look away in embarrassment. 

“Luckily, one of our top students of the cohort has offered to tutor her. He also came out with a schedule.” Their attention zoned to the name of the student who would tutor their precious daughter. 

Sakusa Kiyoomi. 

There was no doubt about it. It’s the young boy that used to be their neighbour. 

“Alright, study hard! Let’s go home!” Your father cheered while your mother apologised for his frivolous attitude. 

You hurried your parents out of the staff room, only to bump into Sakusa. 

After avoiding him for two weeks, it was a little awkward, and now he is your tutor; your thoughts are in a jumble. Just when you thought you got over him, he is, making your heart race again. 

“Oh, do you have time now? I wanted to talk about the study sessions over the summer vacation.” You look at your parents, but they are giving you the thumbs-up. 

So, for some privacy, Sakusa is leading you to the back of the school, near the school garden. 

It was nerve-wracking to go to such a secluded place alone with your crush of ten years; your heart was beating so fast that it sounded like it was going to jump out of your ribcage. 

While collecting yourself, Sakusa returned from the vending machine with drinks. 

He got you coffee milk, your favourite drink. 

“I heard from your club advisor that you were struggling with your studies, so I offered to help. You don’t mind…right?” 

You spot the light blush over his cheeks and the nervous playing with his long fingers. 

“Nope, I should thank you!” You smiled brightly at him, and that smile undoubtedly did something to his heart.

[*timeskip to summer training camp] 

Sakusa was not going to go easy on you. You two have a very strict studying schedule, and Sakusa got to know you better. 

It was just a coincidence that the judo and volleyball clubs have training camps the same week. This was good since, after morning practice, it will be a study session with him and another study session after dinner and bath. 

“Stop staring at my face. Focus on the questions.” Sakusa taps your head with his pencil, and you pout at him. 

“But, you have a handsome face that I just can’t stop staring at.” You joked and smiled at him. 

Sakusa pulled up his mask and motioned for you to finish your questions. 

Underneath his mask were his cheeks like tomatoes, blushing real hard after you playfully flirted with him. 

Not even one question later, you were starting to be flirty with him. 

“If I am in the top 10 for the next mock exam, can you go on a date with me?” You expected him to reject you, but he did the opposite. 

“Sure, if only you get in the top 10. Now, focus.” He lightly flicks your forehead and looked away to hide the light blush across his cheeks. 

God, this man, is he playing games with you?

Sakusa can feel the stares that he is getting from the Judo team and it is definitely not friendly. Instead of sitting with your team, you chose to sit with Sakusa, so that you can finish up your questions and go for extra practice with your coach. 

“Also, can I meet you after your extra practice? I want to tell you something.” He asked and you almost choked on your rice. 

He hands you the glass of water so you clear your throat. 

“Okay, where do you wanna meet?” 

“Near the school garden. See you later.” Sakusa got up and before he left, he lightly pats your head. 

Sakusa Kiyoomi…just pat your head. 

HE FREAKING PAT YOUR HEAD!

“Stay with us, captain!”

The summer night was not as cooling as you expected but it was still tolerable. Sakusa was sitting alone in the garden, seemingly deep in his thoughts. Your heart were racing as you approached him. Over the past weeks, he was more gentle, considerate and closer to you. 

“Sakusa-san, did you wait long? Sorry, I had to take a bath before coming.” You sheepishly smiled at him before cautiously taking a seat next to him. 

“No worries. I really owe you an apology.” 

An apology? 

When he realised that you were staring at him, he turns away. 

“Don’t stare at me. I wasn’t sure of my feelings and I was pretty embarrassed whenever you confess to me. I want to apologise for not taking your feelings seriously and disregard your efforts. Even though it’s a little late, but I am trying my best now to get to know you better and acknowledge your efforts. 

I was having sleepless nights on whether do I like you or not after you decided to give up on me. 

After asking and making sure of my feelings…

Y/n, I do like you. Can you please don’t give up on me? Instead of you chasing me, this time, I’ll do the chasing.” Sakusa declared with a soft smile on his face. 

You were stunned. 

Did your ten years of crush finally have some progress? And, he even said that he will do the chasing now. 

Instead of giving him a reply, you threw your arms around him. He naturally wraps his arms around you. 

“You’re really serious about chasing after me?” You asked again, just to get some reassurance. 

“I am. Once I’ve said it, I will put my heart to it.” 

And it all starts again, except that this time, Sakusa is doing the chasing.

As usual, your boyfriend of two years was waiting outside of your class, all freshen up after his match. Your classmates were all whispering because the star athlete of their volleyball club were waiting outside.

“Kiyoomi! How was the game? Did you get hurt?” You greets your boyfriend with a peck of his cheek and his cheeks turns pink. 

“Not in front of others…We won and I’m not hurt. What do you wanna eat?” He wraps his arm around your waist, holding you close to him. 

Unlike him, you decided to retire from competitive Judo and pursue sports medicine instead. You wanted to continue to support him and it was even a miracle that you got into your major. 

“I want to eat that dish you made last week. Can you make it today? You’re sleeping over at my apartment, right? It’s Friday and you don’t have to return to dorm on the weekends…” You coyly nudged him. 

He laughs a little and shakes his head. 

“Yeah, I’m staying over. We have to stop by the mart to buy the ingredients. Oh, do you wanna stop by the cafe that you mentioned yesterday?” 

After all those chasing, it was definitely worth it. 

“Yes! Let’s go!” You cheered and was about to walk ahead, but he stops you. 

Sakusa points to his lips and you knew what he was hinting. 

“Congrats on the win~!” You tip-toed and kisses his lips. 

Now, both of you are in a good mood for your cafe date and sleepover.

I think it's less that Percy deliberately acts clueless more that he doesn't correct peoples initial assumption of him, he won't go out of his way to appear weaker/stupider but he also won't prevent others from viewing him as such.

Percy knows the advantages of being thought of as "stupid" or "slow", I don't doubt that by the first book he's already figured out the best and easiest way that causes others to believe he's "all brawn no brains" is to let their pride and prejudice taint their view of him.

Think about it, Percy's been bullied and abused by not just his peers but also almost every single adult in his life for years, he's heard it all before and he knows that no matter what he does they'll always view him as lesser for things outside of his control (ADHD, Dyslexia, the fact he's poor, born to and raised by a single mother, not being white (cause there's no fucken way Percy's white) etc), he knows that the people around him will forever judge him based on first impressions and that they'll never even think about getting to know the real him.

There's also his horrible self esteem to keep in mind, part of the reason Percy stops getting mad when people call him stupid is because as he gets older he becomes desensitized to the insults, not only does he expect the insults and offhanded comments he also starts to believe them. You can only hear everyone insisting that you're stupid for so long before doubt starts to creep in.

But yes, the Aphrodite Cabin absolutely spill what they know to Percy, not only is he easy to talk to and get along with, he also never once demeans or underestimates them just because their mother is the Goddess of Love.

(Side headcanon, Percy doesn't fear any of the Gods, however he's very wary of Lady Aphrodite and Lady Hestia.

He's wary of Aphrodite because not only is she the oldest Olympian and a War Goddess who's technically more of a Titan than a God seeing as she was born from seafoam and the Primordial God of the Sky, but she's also the Goddess of Love and Lust, two things that are literally everywhere, two things that I argue are the base of every foundation in this world.

He's wary of Hestia because she's the Titan King's first born, she's the heir to the Mad Titans Throne, Hestia is the eldest Kronide and that means something.)

Rachel has a room somewhere that she's been steadily filling with artwork of every piece of juicy gossip from now to five centuries ago that she's been painting for years, she's been dying to share with someone and that someone is Percy.

Onto the next headcanon: SIREN PERCY FUCK YEAH‼️‼️ ‼️‼️

There's a reason he's immune to Charmspeak, there's a reason he wasn't affected when he heard the Sirens songs in the Sea of Monsters, the Call of the Sirens doesn't work on one of their own.

There's just something about Percy that draws people in, his deep sea coloured eyes, his solid stance and powerful presence, his quiet and mysterious demeanor, and most of all his voice.

His voice, there's just something so enchanting about it, his words contain some sort of allure that others can't help but be drawn too. On land it's subtle, strong but unnoticeable, less of a command and more of a suggestion.

But in the water? In the water it's all consuming, inescapable, the allure in Percy's voice is so powerful it's suffocating, those who hear it can't help but focus solely on him.

While the Siren Song is something Percy's always had, he hadn't always been able to use it. In order to access the power he had to first learn how to read people at a glance, something he's been able to do since before he hit double digits, and as such, Percy's Siren Song is very strong. Percy uses his Siren Song a bit different than most, while he can use the song just like other Sirens, most of the time he's subconsciously using it to boost his skills in persuasion, manipulation and bribery.

Percy and Grover are the two biggest gossips in the riordanverse and no one can convince me otherwise.

Percy/Grover knows when the other has just learned something juicy cause of their empathy link (that's been completely forgotten buy literally everyone, something I cry bout everyday).

Now don't get me wrong, Percy and Grover would never share/spread what they know outside of each other, they know how damaging rumours can be.

I just hc that Percy subconsciously seeks out information on other people as a sort of "passive" defense mechanism if that makes sense.

With how little people tell him (if they tell me anything at all) and how often everyone, even those closest to him, deliberately keeps him in the dark, his habit of seeking out "gossip" and "rumors" when he was younger steadily developed into a habit of seeking and hoarding whatever information he could find.

Like he doesn't need to know but he'd like too, and virtually nothing about his behavior towards the others would change aside from the fact he'd be more prepared to interact/deal with the person he's talking to/facing, more prepared to "code switch" in a way.

Which loops in well with the fact that many people (Grover, annabeth, Thalia, Bianca, Zoe etc) confide in Percy/tell him bout their pasts/secrets easily enough, and while Percy listens to and empathizes with them he rarely offers up his own experiences.

One of the only times I can remember where Percy tried to get someone to see/understand his pov with him was in TLT where he asked annabeth something to the effect of "what if it was your dad that was kidnapped?" and annabeth replied with something like "I wouldn't care" which understandably surprised Percy. I think that interaction is part of the reason why Percy never speaks about himself/his past with others, it's obviously not the only thing that contributed but I think it was a decent sized factor in maybe not creating but rather cementing the idea that Percy should keep his cards as close to his chest as possible, and if he ever had to share any of his cards I think he'd like to know how he should share them, like how he should phrase things and what points he should make yk?

The more he knows bout the person he may have to interact with, the easier it would be to "make a plan" so to speak (and by "make a plan" I mean that Percy wouldn't have to worry much bout stepping into uncomfortable territory if that makes sense)

Let's not forget that despite what everyone says and believes (both in universe and in fandom), Percy is not only smart as hell, he's also incredibly observant and he notices a lot of things, he'd find it real easy to build a profile on everything he comes into contact with.

Grover, due to the empathy link, did pick up Percy's habit and adopted it himself but he also just straight up likes to gossip
