I feel like i've been living some sort of fucked up survival horror where you have to manage your food bar, except your food bar will randomize its value every 5 minutes, and if it's too low you enter a 'sonic drowning in water'-style emergency timer, where if you don't refill the bar in time, you'll have a heart attack and die

Thoughts on cheating in video games? I mean in general, with codes, exploits, cheat engine, etc.

Actually have words about this. Ironically this was just on my mind earlier yesterday.

So for single player games, I'd say that's fair game, so long as you're not cheesing leaderboards and shit with it. Games are meant to be fun, and breaking the rules in a non-competitive game is fun for a lot of people, myself included. Also helps people who have issues completing said games, whether they're disabled or just not really good at games but want to play them anyway. Glitches & exploits are also fair game there too.

Multiplayer games is a no-no for me. Unless it's a non-live game that specifically allows you to cheat with your co-op partners, it's wrong af. If it's anything like an MMO or anything with competitive elements, it gives you an unfair advantage over everyone else. Glitches however i think are fair game, again, so long as you're not cheesing them to get a 1-up on other players.

Side note: I think it's dumb for games to punish you for cheating, outside of cutting off your achievements & not saving your records. Doing things like making everything in the game shame you for using the cheats that the devs built into the game for you to use, making certain things abnormally harder to do, etc. It's a dick move. If you didn't want us to cheat, why did you make a damn cheat menu in the game?

Was just talking in a Sonic Discord server, and someone mentioned how they were listening to the Sonic Boom soundtrack and found nothing enjoyable about it so far. SOMEHOW my thoroughly rotted ADHD brain made the conclusion that Sonic Boom -> currently celebrating Sonic CD's 30th anniversary -> Sonic Boom is a song that originated from that game -> they must be listening to the Sonic CD soundtrack and not enjoying it so far! So I respond with, and I quote, "Even if you don't end up enjoying the entire album all that much, I bet you'd at least find the B mix to Stardust Speedway to be an absolute bop". Because it is, in fact, a bop! It was then made immediately clear that, in actuality, they were actually talking about the soundtrack to Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric!

Beat sonic frontiers. Final thoughts: Game is very good, but the final bosses (hard mode) and last island's guardians are kinda lame. Open world was generally pretty fun, as were the cyber space levels. Appreciate the arcade mode for cyber space, but REALLY wish there was a way to refight titans and an arcade mode of sorts for guardians. Maybe a boss rush, too. But, overall, worth the $45 I spent on it. Interested to see where things go from here.

I have a few ideas in mind for this AU, centering around certain milestones and events, so it’ll most likely be a lot of one-shots with the occasional multi-chapter story. If anyone has any ideas, I’d love to hear them, but I think I’m gonna focus on getting mine out before much else (unless something’s, like, REALLY GOOD for what I’m planning). Unfortunately I've gotten like super burnt out by TWST and lost like all interest in it, but I managed to dig up some stuff from back when I still played the game.

Tsum!Floyd falls for Floyd first. The entire reason he showed up in Draw Me Like One of Your French Eels was because he wanted to confess his feelings, hence his positive reaction to Jade's approval of their "relationship".

Tsum!Floyd doesn’t live on campus. Every time he arrives he descends from the heavens (and ascends when it’s time to go back home).

This is the only ship I have ever come up with fan kids for (though I never named them or came up with personalities). One is shaped like a mermaid but is made of felt, the other is shaped like a bean but is made of flesh. Flesh!Floyd was the one who gave birth to them.

That's all I had written down about the Floyds, but there was also a bunch of Jade/Tsum!Jade stuff as well if you're interested.

Sega Forever is actually such a fucking scam on God. For those who don't know, back in the day around 2011 they released Sonic CD on mobile, and then Sonic 1 and 2 in 2015ish. These were paid purchases, about 2-3 bucks each. Apparently, a few years back they rolled out this Sega Forever rebrand, which made all the games free!!! ...with ads. Now the games HAVE to have an internet connection at all times, and will play ads at literally every moment they can. Start the game? Ad. Died? Ad. Game over? Ad. Beat a level? Ad. Fucking PAUSE? Ad. You gets ads BEFORE EVEN STARTING THE DAMN GAME.

But hey! You can pay to remove the ads! And even better, if you owned the paid version before Sega Forever, you can reinstate your original version! Horay! Simple navigate to the Google Play button at the top button, sign into the account you made the purchase on, and then your good to go! So I boot up Sonic 2 to do just that.

Ok so I mess around with my Google Play account. Clear my cache, my data, sign out, sign in, all the works. ...it doesn't work.

...OK, that's odd. Luckily, I had bought Sonic 1, CD, 4 ep.1 and 2 back in the day, lemme just test those too.

So now I'm lost. EVERY Sega Forever game having the same issue? OK, let me download some other paid game I bought years back and see if it connects to Google Play. So I'm scrolling and scrolling, looking for a game I've bought that was also still available. And after some time I find two! So two quick installs later and I boot them up...

Connects without any issue. OK, so it's a Sega issue. And at this point, I'm giving up. The whole injecting ads into 30 year old games to the degree they did is already bad, but it not even functioning properly?!?! This is a fucking scam, I can SEE them in my purchase history!
