Okay wait it's really fucked up that Shadow in SA2 is almost downright passive when it comes to his own actions. When Eggman wakes him up, Shadow asks how he can serve him. Shadow is following the plan to destroy the world- it's Gerald's plan, not his own. He wants to do only as Maria says, and once he realizes Maria said differently than what Gerald planned, he does a 180 to follow her directions and save the world. Upon seeing Sonic go super, Shadow claims that he must be the true Ultimate Lifeform- then lets himself fall so that Sonic could return back to the ARK in on piece.

Because if Sonic is a character about freedom, than a proper foil to that would be Shadow, a character about subservience.

THEN contrast this with Shadow the Hedgehog 2005 Shadow, who is rebellious to a fault and defined by making his own choices.

i honestly can not believe that Armand would've turned Daniel out of anger or spite. the process of turning a vampire is not quick, you gotta drain them first and them feed them a good amount of your blood. despite everything, I don't think Armand would be so blind with rage that he would not reconsider his decision during the process and stop it. he is kinda of a gremlin, but guess I just can't see someone as meticulous as him being this impulsive. especially not when it comes to making a vampire, which, by the way, he had never done before.

what the fuck is happening with the timeline in leopardstar's honor

there's nothing really wrong with it following the events of the first arc, that it relatively stays accurate on, or it's at least vague enough to be fine and not be confusing

but then there'll be shit like... i think it was mosskit and emberkit who were KITS, leopardfur told whitepaw to get them to help him clean out the elders' den or whatever because "they'd be apprentices soon" and then like the NEXT PARAGRAPH OR PAGE OR SOMETHING, no time skip at all, not even a day had passed, and they were suddenly apprentices and had mentors

this also happens with dawnkit or reedkit, primrosekit, and pikekit (i can't remember which ones) where leopardstar thinks about how they'll be apprentices soon or something and then suddenly, no sense of timeskip or anything, they're called apprentice names

also perchkit just disappears, i thought he'd die in the flood with woodkit and robinkit, but no, he's one of the kits fireheart and graystripe saved, he survives, but then the next chapter or something he's literally just DISAPPEARED?? where did he go? what happened to him? THEY NEVER FUCKING MENTION HIM EVER AGAIN AND SAY NOTHING ABOUT IT, they could have just had him die in the flood like woodkit and robinkit, but no, they literally just made him disappear and no one cares, no one grieves, not even mistyfoot

and probably the WORST ONE, they literally... forgot stormpaw and featherpaw already had their apprentice ceremonies?

the same chapter leopardstar gave them their apprentice names is when she found out stonefur and mistyfoot were half-clan cats, she's like "oh my gosh, i just gave the half-clan cats half-clan mentors!" also FOR SOME REASON IN THIS CHAPTER, JAGGEDTOOTH AND BOULDER ARE JUST THERE?? IN THE CAMP?? NO EXPLANATION, this is BEFORE leopardstar agreed to join tigerstar! and no one is saying anything? and then multiple chapters later is when she joins tigerstar and jaggedtooth and boulder are there to "help protect the camp" and then tigerstar is like "are you still planning on apprenticing the half-clan cats to stonefur and mistyfoot?" LIKE SHE ALREADY DID??? MULTIPLE CHAPTERS AGO! AND IT'S BEEN LIKE A MOON OR WHATEVER SINCE THEN!

like it's like they mixed up the chapters, or had two separate rough drafts of when leopardstar would join tigerstar and when she would find out about mistyfoot and stonefur being half-clan and accidentally mixed them together and just decided to print it

and then leopardstar tells stonefur to go to featherpaw because she'll need him and he needs to take care of his apprentice, implying that featherpaw is his apprentice but STORMPAW IS HIS APPRENTICE, MISTYFOOT IS FEATHERPAW'S MENTOR

it's so fucking bad, yeah we've had dead cats suddenly reappear or a cat who was talking end up coming into camp from patrol, but this is literally the WORST this series has ever been, they can't even keep up continuity with the timeline within this book, it's like two people were trying to write the book at the same time, no communication

also this is another book where they say redtail killed oakheart again when IT'S LITERALLY A WHOLE PLOT POINT IN THE ORIGINAL ARC THAT HE DID NOT KILL OAKHEART, FALLING ROCKS DID
