Thanks for the ask, friend! The prompt from this post is "Send me a "🔥" for an unpopular opinion. I'm more than excited to answer. Do note I'm going to pick a pet peeve rather than some hot button topic.

Though, as a reminder to everyone, this is for fun. My opinion is not the be all and end all. If you don't like it, that's fine. Just don't be rude to me.

Anyways, here we go.

I dislike when anything (people, surveys, quizzes, etc.) ask me the question "Which do you like more: cats or dogs?" The answer, by the way, is neither. I'm completely neutral to both. They're both fine, I guess?

Now, you may be thinking "The point of the question is to make you pick one without any "grey" areas". To which I say: I don't care. I dislike this question because I feel the core assumption of the question is "Well, everyone likes or wants a pet!" Not me, sorry!

Also, please don't misunderstand me. I don't mind pets. Many of my closest friends had/have pets. I enjoy seeing their pets greatly. It's just I'd rather vicariously enjoy pets through my friends and their stories.
