Hey @wasterella, I wanted to ask if you'd be cool with me making a hard copy of a couple of your fics. Specifically "What Fresh Twilight Bullshit Is This" and "My, What Big Shoulders You Have (The Better to Help You Carry the Weight)". I'm genuinely in love with both of them (and a lot of your other fics too) and really want to make a physical copy for my own collection. I just started bookbinding for a research project in my drawing class and I think its be super cool to use a couple of my favourite fics as my first "real" book-binding endeavours.
Thanks so much for reading and responding!!!!!
Hi there!
Sorry for the late reply, I wasn't around Tumblr for a while.
I think that is super amazing that you got into book-binding for a research project in one of your classes, that's absolutely insane (in an awesome way)! I hope you've been having fun with it, what a super neat skill!
With regard to your ask, as long as it's just for personal use because you want to have a bunch of fics on your shelf, that's totally fine to do :) I don't mind when it's for personal use if you just want to do it as a fun project. (If this reply is wayyyy too late and you've moved on, hopefully you are still having fun with other things you enjoy!)
And thank you for the kind words, I am super happy to hear you like my fics, that means a lot to me, thank you!!! 💕💕
Thank you for asking overall though, I hope you have a great day! ❤

This is purely self indulgent and I’ve been listening to wayyyy too much Chappell Roan
Back at it again with blacked out fic writing
But Overlord Husk has an open mic night where a lot of new talent and people looking to have fun show off their skills in one of the theatres /stage areas of the casino.
Husk grew up in and lived in Vegas, he’s always held a respect and admiration for the drag queens as there was always something beautiful in seeing his people be expressive when he could not in his day.
He sometimes sang at the casino but usually kept away from these sorts of nights. It was for the people to enjoy really, and to boost morale for the many souls he owned working shifts to have something fun to do or watch. But he was curious as to who was drawing this much attention tonight, there was never this much foot traffic before.
The queen onstage was beautiful. Killer makeup and killer smile. Bright and bold. He couldn’t shake the thought that they looked awfully familiar, and they did pause when they saw him and looked sad before turning back to the audience. He racked his brain for an answer but the cocktails had made it muddy.
“This song is for someone very special to me… but… well who here has even been in a ‘situationship’ before?”
Some cheers and noise came from the crowd.
“Well… I’ll get right to it then,” they said with a humorless chuckle.
(Insert Casual by Chappell Roan)
Husk was captivated and also felt horrible for them, but throughout their performance he couldn’t help but feel that everything about them was just so… familiar. And it really didn’t help with his wandering thoughts going back to his pretty little pet. He could tell they were a bit more unhappy lately, but he just figured they were getting bored of him and were too nice to know how to say it… but those sounds from the room the other night… calling his name like that…
Don’t be stupid, he thought. It’s just wishful thinking they’d feel that way about him. So he sat through the performance, beer in one hand, face held in the other, lost in thought. Not noticing the performer’s occasional sad glances at him. Before he knew it, it was over.
He got up to try and find the mystery performer but they were gone without a trace. He wondered briefly if they were a magician like him, and had some tricks up their sleeves. Tricks or not, he had a strange feeling they’d know the answers to some of his problems.
He trudged on back to his penthouse, but paused at the door. There was an earring on the floor that looked awfully familiar…
He quirked a brow and heard rustling and someone rushing around the inside. He quickly fumbled with the key and opened the door as fast as he could, finding a mild mess. But as he looked closer at what was thrown about the living space he saw fake lashes, a surprisingly bold palette, and glitter…
All leading up to his pet, shocked expression on their face, makeup half rubbed off, and looking a beautiful mess.
“You weren’t supposed to know…I was gonna clean up before you got home…” they said quietly.
“Baby…” Husk said, looking up from where he knelt on the floor.
I have a few vague ideas on where this would go lmk if you wanna know
- 💃
Oh I love when you black out and then come back from it with a fic~ I'd love to see where this goes! Mutual pining drama is so delicious. These two need to talk about things, damn it! Even if their relationship isn't equal, one of an Overlord and pet, they can still work through it, I'm sure...

art asks 2 and 14!
2. 5 favorites of your own work? Hard to pick tbh, buuut that's what I'm going with rn ;u;
14. How has your art changed over the years? Ooouh well it has certainly changed, for sure, most drastically in the past 2 or so years? Before that the most important points in my art were my involvement with games I rlly liked, hollow knight being the most notable one; started to paint wayyyy more than ever! But as for something more recent, over the time I got more experimental with colors and shapes, just gave myself more freedom and such to make stuff a bit "weird" or messy. My stuff has definitely become less polished and I render way less than I have before (only when I absolutely feel like it, as I should) and with that I just kind of… enjoy drawing much more often? With less constraints in terms of process steps and such I just have fun and almost every bigger drawing is a little adventure? I used to get burned out much more often when I was hellbent on polishing my paintings :'D so I don't do it too often anymore

hello hello mermie!! i'm interested in hearing ur answers about the questions 44, 57 and 71 😌
ru. 🥺🌾 hello. 😌 thank-u for saving me from myself. 🥹
44. What is your favorite genre to write?
romance. 🥹 romantic fantasy if i had to get specific, although i guess it hasn’t shown up much in the fics yet. 😦 if i had to narrow it down further, i’d say YA romantic fantasy! the constraints of a younger cast make it fun lmao, because you have the added challenge of trying not to carbon date yourself and making them believable to their generation and also not being able to rely on the same tricks we might use for older characters to establish (romantic) connection (like—the world of a relationship opens up for us differently when sex is a real, immediate possibility! when you’re a kid—a teenager—like yeah the hormones are there obviously but within the rules of like, the genre, it’s not meant to be the draw like it is for adult fiction! so it means like, figuring out how a connection/attraction impacts your charactrers when they’re wayyyy more limited than an adult one would be).
57. How conscious are you about including symbolism or foreshadowing in your fics?
very conscious about the foreshadowing, i’d say; less so with the symbolism. 🧐 i find that second one tends to sneak in, although sometimes i’ll be very conscious of a motif i want for a piece!!! i try not to overthink things in regards to that. 🥹 but overall, i think foreshadowing is much easier because it’s like—laying down brick work!!! gotta build those foundations.
71. Do you spend more time reading or writing?
🥹 writing, this year. reading tends to always fall to the wayside for me if i’m trying to write! saying that, i think reading is important for recharging—showing how to do things differently. how to enjoy different things, as opposed to being too caught up in your own head. 🥺

Practice Makes Perfect
Summary: You only get good at something by doing it over and over again, Sapnap supposes that the same rule applies to intimacy.
Warnings: it gets mildly horny, check Ao3 port for full tags
Authors Note: yeah I had no fucking clue what to do for this one, so it's sort of a slideshow type thing because that's how we roll in this house every now and then. @sobredunia, snf, once more, there's only a couple more days of me subjecting you to them, I am not sorry because I am having so much fucking fun. I'm weak and not good enough at writing to like, write good kissing scenes, so please enjoy this humble attempt at writing three scenes without repeating my vernacular wayyyy too much. And hey! if you enjoyed consider dropping a reblog, or checking out the Ao3 port and leaving a comment or kudos.
There was hesitation as he rested his hands on Georges waist, he, he didn't remember what came next. All he did was stand there like a complete idiot, staring at George as George stared back at him. The sharpness wasn't entirely there, it was never truly gone, but this time it was dulled.
"I," He took a shaky breath.
"Yes Sapnap?" George asked gently, hands resting intertwined atop the small of Sapnaps back.
He opened his mouth to speak once more and his throat felt dry as desert dunes, "I'm not good at kissing."
George smiled softly, "This isn't life or death idiot," He leaned in to press his forehead against Sapnaps, "There'll be plenty of time to practice."
"But, what if I wanna do it properly now?" Sapnap asked quietly, loosening his hands from where they sat.
"Then that's sucks for you," George said before letting go of Sapnaps waist and drawing his hands up his partners sides.
Sapnap gave a groan of annoyance, "That's stupid."
"Sucking at something is the first step to being sorta good at something," George said, the recognition of the words struck Sapnap like lightning.
"Did you get that from an episode of Adventure Time?" Sapnap asked, a hint of disbelief on his voice.
George shrugged the best he could with forearms resting at the bottom of Sapnaps rib cage and hands at his shoulder blades, "You'll never know."
Sapnap hums in response, he still doesn't move from his spot.
"Now try and kiss me already, we've been standing here for like, five minutes idiot," George said, his smile slanting into a grin as he spoke.
Sapnap forced himself onto the tips of his toes (the only way he could reach high enough kiss George) and tried, but George pulled away his head just a bit. He tried again, George leaned back again, it wasn't until he pressed a hand, palm open and fingers spread, to the small of Georges back and tugged that he stayed still. It was brief, impossibly prompt, the gentle pressure lasting no longer than a second, and when it was over Sapnap pulled away, hands in the air is if to signal surrender.
"I said I'm bad at kissing man," Sapnap stated before the complaints and venomous criticism could roll in, red rested at his face, burning the tips of his ears.
"That was a good first try," George said, "You just need more confidence."
"Well how am I supposed to get confidence?" Sapnap questioned, lowering down his hands to rest in his pockets instead.
"By doing it again," George said, stepping forward as he spoke, "You don't have to be afraid of me being disappointed, I don't bite."
Sapnap just stared at George, staying silent.
"Unless you ask me to," George added on with a smirk, he relished in the way Sapnaps expression turned to shock.
"Dude, you can't just say that," Sapnap whined, refraining from raising his hands to hide his face behind them.
George gives a hum, "Then try again."
"Am I always gonna be the one to initiate?" Sapnap asked.
"Of course not," George said, "Now, pay attention."
Sapnap couldn't help the way he leaned into Georges hand the second it came into contact with his cheek, resting the heel of his palm along his jaw. He followed the subtle tilt, keeping his eyes on George as the gap closed. His posture stiffened when George slid a hand under the hem of his shirt, pressing against the center of his back. It was like ice, a cooling touch he barely stopped himself from leaning into as George kissed him.
There wasn't a single hint of desperation on Georges end, like he'd done it a hundred times already, maybe more at that. On Sapnaps end? He wanted to press George against a wall, hands pinned high above his head, let it happen fast and fiery. But he couldn't, he's sure he'd fuck it up one way or another somewhere along the line. So instead he follows Georges motions, falling into the gulf of muted passion kept bridled only by the notions of someone seeing them.
George pulled away first, Sapnap was still lost in the moment, eyes focused on George. His brain focused on where fingertips hit his back, not a single layer of fabric keeping his heat from seeping into George. He tried to squeak out a single sound, something to signify that he was still there and in the moment- he failed.
"Did I short circuit your brain?" George asked tentatively.
Sapnap shook his head, "No, you're just really good at kissing."
"I've had practice," George stated as though it was a matter of fact, he released Sapnap.
"I know, it's still entirely unfair," Sapnap said, George playfully nudged his shoulder, shattering the tenderness but he didn't care with the segue into the next layer of their complexities.
"We just got together, first date and all that jazz," George said, grabbing Sapnaps hand before taking a couple steps, "You'll have plenty of chances to get good at kissing me."
Sapnap gave a small nod, dragging the tip of his shoe against the concrete for a step, "I don't know if I'll be good enough at it when it really matters though."
"You will, I promise," George said, rubbing a small circle on the back of Sapnaps hand.

Festivals where a lot louder than either of them remembered, maybe they remembered it quieter cause when they were kids they were just as loud. That doesn't deter them from the games littered across the place and the smell of freshly cooked food from every angle. It smells like sugar, heat, and deep fryers, a combination of scents that George associates with childhood just a little bit less than Sapnap does.
"Can we try that game?" George asked, gesturing vaguely to one of many games set up.
Sapnap shook his head, "Half of them are rigged, never trust a carnie anyways."
"You're absolutely no fun Sapnap," George whined, clinging to Sapnaps arm as he spoke, "We came here to have fun."
"Losing all your cash at one stand isn't most peoples definition of 'fun' George," Sapnap shot back with, bringing a hand to rustle Georges hair, the Brit ducks away from the touch.
"Well maybe it's my definition of fun," George stated dramatically, he had to refrain from sticking his tongue out as well.
Sapnap rolled his eyes, "Don't you think getting some cotton candy would be more fun?"
"After we win one game," George said, "Promise," He pressed a kiss to Sapnaps cheek.
"Fine, which game do you wanna play?" Sapnap asked, George gave a hum as he glanced at the games, never once did their pace of traversing the festival stop.
He pointed to the milk bottle game, "That one."
Sapnap gave a groan of annoyance as he looked at the booth, "Seriously?"
"Seriously, win me a prize and we'll ride the Ferris Wheel," George said, using his one bartering chip impossibly early in the day.
Sapnap paused, weighing the options in his head. On one hand, losing an embarrassing amount of money in a rigged game, on the other hand, riding the Ferris Wheel. He reluctantly took the bait, "One prize, then we get cotton candy and ride the Ferris Wheel."
George grins a little bit, "I love you."
"Love you too idiot," Sapnap said, leading George through swaths of festival goers to the booth.
He reached into his pocket and fished out a couple fivers, he placed down the wad of blue bills. He watched intently as the manager of the staff counted the dollars and laid down a small basket of baseballs. Sapnap easily grabbed one, tossing it up and down in his hand a few times.
"Take your time," The carnie stated coolly, voice even.
Sapnaps shot easily decimated the first stack of bottles, one of them chipped as they came crumbling down. He grabbed the next ball and took a step to the left, winding up and shooting once more, this time he only knocked down three of five.
"Fuck," It barely came out loud enough to be heard.
"You got this," George whispered out softly.
The final shot knocked down all five, the final one did wobble for a moment before finally coming down. He couldn't help the grin creeping to his face, smug and impossibly prideful.
"Impressive," Was what the carnie stated, "Pick your prize."
George was already holding what he wanted to get, "I pick this one."
"A teddy bear with a heart on it?" Sapnap questioned, almost offended that his efforts were wasted on it.
George put it back, "Good point," He pulled down a panda plush instead, "I'm taking this one."
"I might have to take it then," Sapnap teased, linking an arm with George as they started on their way to one of many cotton candy booths.
George gives a hum, "Yeah, I guess you earned it."
"Fuck yeah I did! I put that stupid game in its place," Sapnap exclaimed, exuberance clear on his voice.
"With utmost ease you put that game in its place," George said, nodding as he spoke.
They came to a staggering halt at the closest cotton candy stall, the impossibly sweet aroma hit them like a freight train. Somehow the simple smell of spun sugar bulldozed any other scent that dare exist in the immediate area.
"What color do you want?" Sapnap asked, "I usually get pink."
George placed a twenty dollar bill on the counter, "One pink and one blue."
"I was gonna pay," Sapnap whined.
"Shoulda pulled out your cash sooner," George said as he was handed the bags of cotton candy, "Thanks!"
"I guess I should've, but I'm taking you on a date," Sapnap explained, "I should be paying."
"Tough luck," George stated bluntly as he pulled a clump of blue from his bag, panda plush held under his arm.
"When you take me on a date I'm paying," Sapnap spat back with almost childishly.
"Sounds good to me," George said with a smirk on his face, "Thanks in advance Sapnap."
Sapnap paused for a moment, "Did you just con me into paying for our next date?!"
"Yep! And you fell for it perfectly," George said, handing a clump of pink to Sapnap who reluctantly took a bite out of it.
"I hate you," Sapnap muttered.
"Aw! I love you too," George chided teasingly as they walked up to Ferris Wheel.
Sapnap glanced to the prices before shucking out the dollars that were listed. They both waited rather impatiently to get on and take a seat on the bench. It was more or less a booth without any windows, or if there were windows they were just down.
"I don't think I've been on a Ferris Wheel before," George said quietly as the ascent started.
"It's pretty fun, the most mellow ride at any festival or carnival you go to," Sapnap explained through a bite (if you could even call it that) of rapidly dissolving cotton candy.
George hummed, "All I know is that you're supposed to kiss near the top."
"You only kiss at the top of a Ferris Wheel for the first time once George," Sapnap said, "And I'm still not super good at kissing, it'll be a waste of an experience."
"That's bullshit," George said, barely letting a second go between the end of Sapnaps sentence and the start of his own, "Kiss me when we reach the top, and don't be afraid."
"But-" Sapnap tried to say.
"Please," George said.
"Fine, I can try, just don't expect anything magical," Sapnap said as he watched the tops of the trees come into view on an equal level as the both of them.
George leaned into him as the ascent came further and further to the top of the circle. Most of the pink cotton candy Sapnap had gotten was nibbled on till the bag was empty, the hue staining his tongue just a bit. The bright blue dye stuck to Georges tongue twice as much, he'd have to spend days scrubbing it all off. When the tips of the trees were finally below them Sapnap turned to face George, he rested his hands at Georges waist.
Do or die.
He tugged George a little closer, the Brit easily swaying into the motions and meeting Sapnap in the middle. His lips are cracked, a stark contrast to Georges, but that doesn't stop him from trying to power through. George finds himself bracing one hand on the ledge of where a window may sit, the other closer to Sapnaps shoulder. He tries to advance it, go a little bit deeper into the passion George had been urging him to learn the entire time they were together. George takes the bait, tilts to the side and swings a leg over Sapnaps lap.
He tastes like blue raspberries, an overwhelming sweetness washes over him. But it's really nice, a soothing shift compared to how they usually kiss (George leads the way, Sapnap follows obediently). He's sure he tastes like strawberries, the caustic amount of flavoring resting on his tongue and refusing to fade.
Then accidentally bites Georges tongue.
It can't even really be called a bite with how little force is behind it, but he hears the whine it draws from George. Normally he's fine with that keening sound spilling from his boyfriends lips, but not now. He pulls back first, he looks worried, and his hands drop from where they rest on George.
"Sapnap-" George begins.
"I'm sorry," Sapnap got out, cutting off George without even realizing it, "I bit your tongue, I'm sorry."
"Sapnap." George repeats, tone firmer, sharper. It instantly snaps Sapnap back to reality, shattering his apologies.
"Yeah?" Sapnap asked meekly, watching tentatively as Georges expression softened.
"It's fine, that'll happen every now and then, it's part of making out," George explained, resting a hand on top of Sapnaps, "People make mistakes."
"I know," Sapnap said, "Fuck I probably just ruined that."
"Stop berating yourself," George stated, it was a demand, "Everyones learns, and you're learning fast."
"Alright," Sapnap said quietly, he heaved a sigh.
"Wait, Sapnap, open your mouth," George said as he leaned in again.
Sapnap quirked a brow, "What?"
"Just do it," And Sapnap did as told, George nearly burst out laughing, "Your tongues purple!"
"So is yours!" Sapnap shot back.
"Now all of the internet will know we were making out," George said, pulling out his phone as he spoke.
Sapnap gave a small hum, "I'm not complaining."
George held up his phone, "Stick out your tongue," Sapnap did exactly that as George snapped the photo.
Sapnap looked at the photo, "Oh we are so posting that."
"Totally," George said, pocketing his phone once more as the Ferris Wheel started on its descent, "Now, it's not too late to kiss me on the way down."
"Nobody does that George," Sapnap said.
"We'll be the first," George answered with.

Raindrops hit the concrete hard, the consistent splish splash of rain on water acts as a hypnotic lull. A soothing sound smoothing over the world around them, the tink sound it makes as it hits the arched roof of the picnic shelter like cymbals. Up until the rainstorms people forgot it had tin exteriors instead of the plastic that made up so many others. The occasional drip of water leaked from a faulty gutter and darkened the surrounding concrete.
The grass was muddy and trampled, the paved pathways had puddle grooves sloping at the cracks just a bit. The trees swayed gently, some leaves coming undone and others handling the harsh turn in the days weather with ease. Sapnap simply stared out the downpour, the concrete below them was starting to dampen with the stray drops and thickness of the air. But it wasn't even cold, it was a lukewarm rainstorm, one so intense he imagined a rainbow would come after it.
"So," George begins, "Starting to regret taking me here?"
"The rain is kind of nice," Sapnap said, he was reaching for straws because he knew that if he stepped foot in that rain it would hit so hard it stings just a bit, "Kind of."
George rolled his eyes, "If you listened to the weather forecast we wouldn't be here."
"Sometimes they're wrong, sixty percent chance of rain still gives us a forty percent chance we'll be sitting under light clouds," Sapnap stated defensively, "We just got unlucky this time."
"When do you think this rain is gonna let up?" George asked, "I kind of want to go home."
"Are you kidding me? The rain is great," Sapnap said, swinging a leg over the bench of the picnic table as he spoke. He leaned back on his elbows, tilting back his head to meet Georges gaze, the Brit sitting atop the table and swinging his legs.
George gave a hum, "It's just wet," He brought a hand to flick at stray strands of hair on Sapnaps forehead, the dampness of the storm helped them cling to skin, "And humid."
"There are frogs out there sometimes," Sapnap said, gesturing vaguely to the murky expanse of grass, "I've seen quite a few over by the creek."
"That creek is a death wish, you've seen how deep it is," George said, "And the rocks, slippery as hell."
"That's what makes it fun," Sapnap said, drawling his words a bit with a grin on his face. He pushed himself from his spot on the bench and swiveled around to be standing in front of George, "Sorry that it started raining."
"Can't stop nature if you tried," George said, he slid down from his spot on the table, "But, it's not like anyone else is out here."
"So we're making out in a rain storm?" Sapnap questioned, looking up at George with a smirk, "How cliche."
"Do you really care about how cliche it is?" George asked, waiting patiently for Sapnap to take the initiative and do it.
Sapnap rested his hands on either side of the table edge, forearms pressed against Georges hips, "Naw, not really," He still had to force himself to the tips of his toes to actually make the connection, but George leaned in a bit as well.
For a minute it's just them and the rain, the pressure against the heel of his palms ignored alongside the stretch at the back of his ankles. It doesn't go ignored when he takes a small, staggering step closer to steady his balance, pressed flush against George. Hands found their way up his back and under his shirt in the brief instances they pull apart, for the brief instances Sapnap falters in his confidence.
George leaned back onto the table, ready for his legs to fall out from under him because he loved this confidence Sapnap had learned. One hand pressed to his upper back, he loved it, the cold air swirling around them, the fire between them. He dug his nails into Sapnaps back, drawing the faintest keening sound from his lover. Even when teeth awkwardly hit his own he refuses to recoil, arching into the pressure on his back, trying to keep the frothy desire between them alive.
Sapnap backs away mere inches and George nearly whines, he actually does when Sapnap litters his neck with kisses neck. Drawing up from the base to his jaw, letting teeth nick against sensitive skin forcing George to bite his lip. When their lips are meeting once more Sapnap presses forward further, sliding a leg between Georges as he does so. Refusing to let up as a hand goes from the table to tangle into the dampened locks of brunette.
He still ends up pulling back first, tries to at least, he can't get very far with Georges hands firmly interlocked atop his back. George gives a bemused hum, "You know, for someone who still thinks they suck at kissing you're pretty good at it."
"Guess I've been getting better," Sapnap answers with, "I'm learning from the best though."
George gives a soft smile, "How sweet, now, wanna do it again?"
Sapnap shrugged, "Depends, do you?"
"Why do you think I'm asking idiot?" George answered with a bit of a laugh on his voice, he unlaced his hands before pressing his forehead to Sapnaps, "Of course I want to, I'm always up for a kiss."
"Good to know, I'll keep that in mind for when they're handing you your Nobel Peace Prize for best boyfriend of ever," Sapnap said, he pulled himself away from George and opted to lean beside him.
"What, you're gonna sweep me off my feet and make out with me while I try to give my speech?" George retorted with, trying his hardest not to laugh as he spoke.
Sapnap gives a smirk and some finger guns, "My plan exactly, they'll disqualify you but we'll already be well on our way with the gold in hand."
"It'll be perfect, we'll sell the prize and get rich," George said, grinning as he spoke.
The rain still hasn't let up and Sapnaps gaze lingers on the gazebo.
"Wanna head over to the gazebo?" He pointed at the building as he spoke.
George quirked a brow, "We'll get soaked."
"That's half the fun," Sapnap said with a smirk on his face.
"If you say so, I'm gonna have to take off my shirt if I get too wet," George muttered quietly, barely loud enough for Sapnap to hear.
"I mean, that's what I'm hoping for," He stated boldly as he made his way to the edge of the picnic table cover, holding out a hand to George.
The Brit eagerly took his hand and followed him to wherever he led.

Quick story of my Michael Afton design
His first ver (wich was a base for all the other ones) was PURLEY based on the fnaf 4 sprite beacuae,,, It's the only Mike design I like besides that pizza sim bear- LIKE SORRY ALIVE MIKE IN SISTER LOCATION IS UGLY AS FUCK and overall I had idea to make him based of Foxy in many regards (such as with thos darn ahoges to represent Foxy's hair spikes). Also here comes the worst part of Mike design that I can never get rid of beacuse I'm wayyyy to attached to it- fleshtooth. I know it's awful you know it's awful I love it
Then I started to doodle him again and then his iconic emo bangs apeared and let's just say,,, these were here for a stay
Then I drew first real art of him and that solidifed the basic purple mike design I would draw the most. It would change slightly later but these changes were mostly based on giving him cooler clothes
Important thing to note on these designs: rather reddish toned hair, those boots (also purple lace if you know lace code you get it) also those fish net stockings. There's no real drawings of teen Michael Afton in this era but I have this gacha model (I'm not doing gacha videos I just liked making characters for fun. I like dress up games ok-) wich tells us a lot we need to know
There's not much imporant things to note here beside black shirt and grey hoodie onstead of gray shirt. This decision was made beacuse I think black shirt suits his edgy teen vibe more and I added the optional grey hoodie to recompensate that. There was also sims 4 model but It was horroble and I don't feel like looking for it. Onky thing notable there were ever redder hair and fishnets making a comeback
Then my fnaf hiperfix ended for around half a year and I came back with this design (also here's still unshaded fullbody in new style)
Notable things with Zombie Mike: No more ahoge, I finally deleted it since drawing it was a pain and it did nothing do enhance the design. he looses a piece of cheek, overall I want to make Zombie Mike look more destroyed. Still tho I want to keeo the general "funky purple monster high oc" vibe since that suits style I draw in more and I enjoy drawing stuff like this more. I litearlly make animatronics into funky furries with bows leave me alone.
Things to note on teen Mike design: Ahoge is also gone, but fishnets make a comeback, same with purple lace comebat boots. He also gets long hair like REALLY long hair. At first I wanted to play around with somehow keeping these bangs but also giving him mullet. However I have no idea how but he ended up long haired but I liked it he looked cute so I kept it.
Final thoughts and bonus funfacts
I totally went with count the ways millie aproach didn't I- But um yeah my Mike doesn't look like this punkish 80's bully boy but like 2000's emo fem but that's okay since that's the aesthetic I prefer anyway 💖 My Mike wasn't meant to be realistic he was meant to be cute and fun to draw ok-
Now funfacts
-Those weird side bangs he has were meant to be a reference to side burns I saw people draw him. But his eyes were too big to make side burns visible so side bangs it is
-He had snake bite pirercing in the first design but I deleted it. Bonnie Bully got it instead to recompansate
-Also Freddy bully gets more of an 80's edgy bully archetype look to recompensate for Mike going the emo way
-His red hair apeared beacuse on his fnaf 4 model I always saw his hair as reddish so I decided to make it evenr redder. It's obviously dyed
-Where it comes to his face he actually looks mostly like his mom, and only has William's eyes. I know this is totally not canon but I just like the irony that feom all things he could have inherited from William, it was his fuckin eyes you know THE WINDOWS OF A SOUL.
-He also gets William's body feutures tho. The only major differecence is shoulders aren't as wide
-His mom was Filipina so he's mixed
-I want him to get a buzz cut and dyed blonde hair during his Mike Schmidt era. I'm yet to design that
-his Foxy mask has a tounge stuck out beacuse of that fnaf 4 foxy teaser
-That light blue tongue while he's purple thing is beacuse I was stupid and while making the first doodle of his design, I acidentaly covered his tounge color with his eye white color
-He propably would wear those fuckin combat boots at the beach. Before you claim me insane to sugest anyone would do that- I litearlly went to beach with someone who wore combat boots there.
-He ripped holes in his jeans himself
-He's so skinny you propabky could count his ribs </3 He's eating alright he's just build this way
-He's tall as fuck

can i have some comfort from the eddsworld main 4? Me and my boyfriend have been fighting a lot and i'm really sad. It can be platonic or not:(
A/N: Of course I can! I'm so sorry about you and your boyfriend :(. I really hope the fighting ends! Please enjoy <3.
Edd
Edd is oblivious. If you're really good at hiding your feelings, he'd just think that you're completely okay. You have to tell him if you're feeling down or not. He'd immediately apologize and comfort you once he realizes you're feeling down though! He won't leave your side until you feel better!!! Edd would bring Ringo and cuddle together, as he's listening to you vent. And of course he's respectful, so if this seems too much for you and you just wanna be alone, he will. But you can't stop him from checking up on you if you've been in your room too long. He just wants the best for you and loves you so much :((. You'll be showered with kisses and hugs afterwards <3333.
Matt
Just like Edd, he's also oblivious. But I do think that he'd be the master at comforting!! He'll definitely say something like "You're too beautiful/handsome to cry!" and he will praise you to make you feel better <3. Would also just hold you close to him if you wanna cry more. MATT WOULD ALSO USE HUMOR TO MAKE YOU LAUGH AND FEEL BETTER!!!!!!! I mean he's dumb all the time so anything he does makes you laugh but- He'd do something fun with you so you can get your bad thoughts out of your mind! Like he'd do your makeup or maybe like cook something together (although the kitchen will get destroyed but). HES A TOTAL SWEETHEART AND HE JUST WANTS TO MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER :((((.
Tom
Okay, so you might think Tom is shitty at comforting. But nope, he's actually pretty decent at it (as long as he knows what he's doing ykyk). First, he'd awkwardly ask if you wanna talk about it. If you don't and wanna be alone, he'll let you be until you'll feel better and talk to you afterwards. If you want him to stay, then great! He's a good listener, and even if he can't help. Tom will still be there for you, and listen to your problems. He'll tell you what he usually do to cope with bad thoughts! He'll just pat you on the back. And if he feels extra, he'll even give you a hug! Depending on why you're feeling sad, he'd say "Those are just shitty thoughts trying to get under your skin. Don't make those thoughts take a hold of you, even if it seems hard sometimes." ORRR "Ignore those bad people. They're just seeking for your attention, which is a stupid way of doing that. Ignore them next time and fucking spit on them. If they won't stop, tell me, and I'll deal with it. No one's allowed to hurt you."
Tord
He's kinda bad at comforting, sorry 😭. If you're really close friends with him, he'd actually try. If you're looking for advice from him, he'd say something dumb like "You wanna know what I do when I'm sad? I just bottle it up like a big boy. Maybe you should do that too?" I wish I was playing 😕. BUTTTT he's also a good listener like Tom. He's WAYYYY better at listening to you vent other than giving advices as you can see…. because sometimes he can seem a bit harsh. BUT I SWEAR HES JUST A BROKEN COMMIE AND HES TRYING HIS BEST TO HELP YOU OUT. But something he would do is beat the shit out of the people who made you feel that way!!!!! He'll just hug you as he's drawing circles on your back with his hands, plotting revenge for the bullies :3

I think the fundamental difference between the hobbit and lotr is the target audience. The hobbit was written for kids with this slight cyclical undertone, bilbo comes off as quite naive to me at least, kinda for kids to project themselves onto, and becomes a story about reevaluating the trust between yourself and the people around you, even if you care for them, which is a pretty good thing for kids to learn.
Lotr however was written for cynical adults, and the purpose for me at least was to allow downtrodden adults to add a bit of whimsy and joy back into their lives. You get beat down a lot when you’re older, and when you’re younger, everything seems great, both books aim to restore a bit of balance in their target audience, which reflects through their adaptations.
As someone who watched the hobbit first, it’s a lot better viewing experience when you’re a young kid huddled into the local cinema with your entire family (seriously there was like fifteen of us for all three movie releases, my grandma was fuckin hype), I fucking loved the barrel scene, and I still do. It’s probably one of my favourite fight scenes ever.
However, I wish the movie had worked a bit harder on goofy aspects, tonal dissonance is definitely a bit of a problem on reviewing for me, and also just not dragged poor Orlando Bloom back. Legolas does not need to be there. He’s not there in the book. It’s just weird.
I love the Hobbit movies, they’re flawed but I feel like people compare them wayyyy too much to lotr. They may be in the same universe and contain linked characters, but the books are fundamentally written for different people in different stages of their lives, and that shines through the movies.
Kinda like how the Silmarillion is written for people who want to suffer.
^^^^^ i think you have a lot of good points here!!!! Again, I DID ENJOY the hobbit movies. They were fun!!! I think Thorin was a lot of fun- I wasn't expecting to enjoy him as much.
I haven't read the books yet so I can't be too specific what I think abt the difference- ill get back to that when I have but itll take a while to finish, I think 😭💞
I havent, this far, however felt like lotr is cynical????? I think it might be like a difference between how we two see the word!!! Not sure. To me cynisism feels like that "well, nothing matters, things are shit for the sake of being shit" type of nihilism, and Hobbit comes to a lot closer to that w SOME of the characters, specifically in the water-town-whatever. I think i just mainly didn't like the town leader & Alfrids inclusion. It might be unfair of me to compare, but it is. Seriously such a stark contrast to having Théoden (cursed to silence and afterwards hindered by doubts of his own power and of loyalty, feeling alone) and Grima (clearly desperate for something; approval by others; coniving and cruel but made so by desperation) vs. dude likes gold & dude likes gold.
I might be hanging onto this one point bcs of my. MASSIVe crush on Grima, but 👁 — 👁 im not a professional movie critic I'm a dude w a crush on fuxkinh Grima Wormtongue from Lotr.... 💞💞
Anyways, yeah, idk, that just felt OFF to me. Idk id the books will have the same thing, but if they do, I gta say, not super into it? Maybe im being pretentious askinh for more complex characters in childrens media but AgAIN. The reason I was so enamored w Grima as a kid was. He was complex. That was interesting.
And you defi get that w the dwarves in hobbit!!! I'm just never a big fan of drawing clear lines between the enemy & the protags. I don't like othering evil characters, m a big believer in that seeing them as someone like us makes us understand that anyone can make bad choises, and makes us concider our own choises more?
I think the comedy to both of us is the issue. The baddies were mostly used for comedy, and the comedic parts were the least fave for me in general :( dunno.
I also have a mild weird thing for uncanniness and weirdness in movies. vISUALLY im more into Lotr; the weird constant fake moon light, older cameras, and i love the orc makeups..... augjdjj.. just more for me. But hobbits were fun!!!!
Sorry im rambling this is incoherent but u had fun thouthts so i thought id share some of my own ; v ;

Top 10 ocs from other peole?because all your seem so good and I'm sure you have great recommendations?
I’m really glad you like my ocs, it’s a relief because, like any writer, I desire validation more than anything. and it’s hard to believe someone wants my opinion but nonetheless I have stayed up wayyyy too late creating this long reply because I couldn’t stop with just 10 ocs. so here’s 15 ocs I highly recommend in no particular order:
1. Leila Potter by @missjanuarylily .literally the first oc story i ever read and has a special place in my heart for it. The source of my love for sisfic, especially. Lelia is a wonderful character, so well developed and I adore her relationships with Harry and Draco. Honestly I couldn’t read any other Draco/oc fics because I thought his and Lelia’s story was so good.
2. Acacia Davis by @httpscoot: her prologue still has me in awe, it’s truly brilliant. what’s so cool about Acacia is how both E1 and E2 version are so unique, individually and compared to each other. I can’t wait to see how they will interact and I’m a huge fan of E1 Acacia’s pairing. Wally West deserves so much love.
3. Gabbie Fuller by @hopemikaelscns. Gabbie does not deserve to suffer like she does, but she grows so strong from it. A really cool character with such an interesting arc, her struggles with religion are so relatable and her relationships with her family are complex and real. i love how she grows on her own but ultimately returns to help out her siblings.
4.Naya Arellano by @emiliachrstine. Star wars is one of my favorite fandoms ever and Naya’s fic is literally writing goals. I have so much respect for the choice of a platonic pairing being the focus of the story and the crux of Kylo’s redemption. Platonic relationships are just as important as romantic ones. Naya herself is full of emotion, so easy to connect with, and her story expands on so many unexplored aspects of tfa.
5. Loretta Jane Swan by @lorettastwilight. I was never the biggest fan of twilight but this fic is amazing. Loretta and her story are just so real, so human in the best ways. I love how genre savvy she is and and how she reacts to all of the situations she is placed in. all of her interactions with the canon characters are interesting honestly, i believe this fic is better than the canon.
6. Brynn Parker by @scarlctvitch i haven’t even seen spider-man homecoming but this fic makes me want to spend the money I don’t have to buy it so i can better appreciate Brynn. i really love her concept. i’m here for all the sibling relationships, twins sticking with each other through loss and sudden superpowers, but i really admire how between all the craziness Brynn still is a normal girl, a student with homework and with a crush on her best friend.
7. Caoimhe McLooughiln by @beacon-hills-chance-harbor. Zoe is doing a bit of her own thing by creating her own history and characters for the Dublin Institute and by incorporating irish mythology. It’s amazing and I’m really excited to see what she does with all of this original content. i adore each of the Fianna, especially Caoimhe, who is so strong despite all she has suffered (and will suffered). the potential angst will kill me in the best way.
8. Calypso by @susiesamurai She combines two of my favorite things in the world: greek mythology (specifically Calypso’s story) and thor. thor/ocs are few in number which is a crime. the pairing alone interests me, but this specific concept is incredible. also all of her edits are unbelievably gorgeous. truly editing goals I could never reach.
9. Kitty Franklin/Petra Novak by @deutches. I love Kitty/Petra for quite a few reasons. Kitty and Bucky’s relationship is really sweet and their life together is perfect (which is what Bucky deserves). I love them, which makes the truth that Kitty is a dream that much more painful and makes the dynamic of Bucky and Petra that much more interesting. It’s really a genius concept, using the fact that the brain uses the faces of people you’ve seen in dreams.
10. Nora Argent by @viragoseries. the first teen wolf fic i ever read and the original point of inspiration for my own teen wolf fic. Nora is such a complex character with so many strengths and so many flaws, but undeniably badass. The Argents are one of my favorite aspects of teen wolf and it’s really awesome to see their story expanded. I thought the original version of Nora’s story was brilliant, and the revival is even better.
11. Aneksi Stone by @princes-jasmine. Aneksi is just so cool and her story contains some favorite story elements of mine: friends to lovers (Anseki and Isaac’s relationship is so wholesome, so well developed), mythology (a really unique take on hybrids) and mystery (so many unanswered questions but it keeps me intrigued)
12. Hazel Martin by @perfectlystiles : the gif set of hazel’s insults is still one of my favorites ever. Truly iconic. And she is a literary nerd who references the great gatsby so I cannot not like her. A succubus is a really cool choice of mythological creature and I’m really excited that perfectlystiles is choosing to include even more mythology with the addition of Hazel’s friends (I really respect how Hazel has her own friend group separate from the pack)
13. Myra Stark by @have-fun-storming-the-kastle game of thrones is a new fandom for me and i just started reading fics for it. i have so many stark feelings and i adore sisfics, so it’s no surprise I enjoy Myra’s story. Incredible prologue that really draws you in and on point characterization. Myra is a great addition to the Starks and I enjoy all of her interactions with her family and with Jamie. Already I want her to become Queen in the North and she has inspired me to start plotting my own got fic.
14. Tamara Arryn by @chuck-hansens what first caught my eye was Tamarra’s House and parentage. The daughter of Jon and Lysa, the concept alone is brilliant and the execution is amazing. Her and Jamie’s relationship is a slow burn, but it’s true to the characters and their situations. Tamarra’s development as she learns to play the game is so well done.
15. Carmen Alperin by @beauxbatcns. Alfie Solomons is my fave from peaky blinders (i’m forever upset about s4) and this concept makes me smile so much. childhood friendship? fake relationship that leads to catching feelings? i am so here for it. literally a dream fic for me.
Honestly this list can keep going because there are so many truly brilliant creators, amazing ocs, and unique stories. @ocappreciation and @allaboutocs is where you can find many more great characters. I’ve just barely started to interact in the oc community that exists here but I’m in awe of the talent creativity and support I’ve witnessed.
#answered#anon#you probably did not expect a reply this long#or detailed#but oh well#I have a lot to say#there are so many great characters
