And sorry this took me a hot minute to get to, I wanted to be able to sit down and really read through it.

I love the intuitive aspect of it, like hiding from storms and sensing ill-intentions. My cats pick up on body language and tone to a degree that can be frustrating sometimes because they just *know* when it's time to get their claws trimmed and it's always a fiasco.

kiri: there's nothing better than coming home and spending time together in our little place after a long week, but it's nice to get away sometimes, too! it's usually a few days or long weekend just to get away for a bit. i'll never say no to a getaway in the mountains with friends to catch up and enjoy each other's company! especially if kats' is cooking the whole weekend. who could turn down 3 free homecooked meals a day?! rei: i always enjoy our weekends at home, but going to the beach or mountains once in awhile is nice, too. it's more common that we go on a friend's weekend trip instead of alone - not that i mind! being out with them makes me remember high school days and how strong our bonds all are with one another.

Sphynx: Who prefers wearing sweaters the most? Neither, both? Do either of you knit? Would you ever wear matching sweaters?

I'm the sweater person for the most part! I wear sweaters a LOT; Jade doesn't really get cold, but may wear a sweater if it's a texture / material he likes, or a design he enjoys I knit and crochet (I'm actually just about to start on a sweater...), and I'd happily teach Jade should he ever show interest in learning - I think he'd catch on quickly, and would probably enjoy it! as for wearing matching sweaters? we definitely would :)

White Cat: Are your f/o’s eyes particularly striking to you? In what way? Do they find themselves captivated by yours, in turn?

oh, his eyes are incredibly striking! they're absolutely stunning! the shape, the colours, the emotion and the teasing gleam he sometimes has, and the power that lies behind them? gosh, his eyes are beautiful ♡ I think he may be drawn to my eyes as well, though in a somewhat different way, of course. (at least... I hope he is ^^)

Maine Coon: Are you a stay at home couple, or do you like going on trips together?

generally, we're more of a stay at home couple. usually, Jade and I kind of keep to ourselves. we don't really feel a huge need for frequent outings, and are usually comfortable finding fun things to do just together at home. now, this isn't to say that we don't go out, or go on trips when we're able and interested. but those trips tend to be more focused on exploring a new place, trying local foods, and observing things (whether the landscape, architecture, or whatever else) wherever we are.

a short Mikey kitten story part 2

Mikey didn't want to say goodbye to cookie. she has been one of the best things that has ever happened to him in his whole life. he sobbed quietly as he pets her soft fluffy fur as she purrs happily. all of a sudden, his cell phone rang, and hears your voice. you notice by the sound of his shrilled sad voice coming from the other end of the phone call. "Mikey. sweetheart. what happened? did your brothers fight with you again?" Mikey sniffled out his words trying his best to speak as tears fell down to his cheeks. "I-I fo-found th-this kitten at an ally-w-way all alone, and I de-ci-ded to take h-her h-ome hop-ing m-my bros would be o-okay in h-having me ke-keep her, b-but they s-said N-No." you felt sorry for your terrapin boyfriend. you start to ask him questions what kind of cat she is, and so on. "does she have a name?" Mikey responded but still feeling upset. "her n-name is Cookie. she's a M-Maine coon." you try to comfort him and you decided to come by and check on him and look at the kitten yourself. that afternoon, you and April and Casey came to the lair. you walked up to Mikey and hugged him. "It's okay. I'm right here Hun." he hugged back and he shows you the kitten in his room. April and Casey followed. you and April meet cookie for the first time, and you instantly fell in love with the small kitten. you picked her up and examined for any broken bones or illnesses. luckily there was nothing. Mikey noticed how motherly you treated the young kitten which made him smile a bit. after you and April had a talk about what to do with the kitten, you decided to make a decision. Mikey and his brothers sat down along with you and April and Casey. April spoke to the boys "okay. the three of us spoke on what to do with cookie, and (Y/N) has decided to make a final decision." Mikey was afraid what he would hear. would cookie be sent to a shelter? back to the streets? he wasn't sure until you finally spoke. "I've decided that Cookie should live with me." Mikey slowly looked up and spoke. "But....I found her. she needs me." Casey sighs and speaks to Mikey for his brothers. "Look Mikey. we understand that you love this cat. but she needs to be in a better environment. the sewers is not a good place for a cat like cookie." You gently rub Mikey's shell and spoke gently to him. "she'll be happier. besides you'll get to see her as much as you'd like." April nodded. "Yeah. exactly. she will always be there waiting for you. it's going to be okay Mikey. at least she'll be in a better home." Mikey looks at his brothers as they gave him the look of them agreeing with this kind of decision. Mikey sheds a few tears and finally agrees to give cookie to you. he hugs and kisses cookie talking to her one last time as tears fell, and puts her in the cat carrier that you brought with you. you kiss him goodbye, and he watches you and cookie head out of the lair after hearing one last tiny meow from her. Leo walks up to Mikey and pats his shell. "you did the right thing little bro. *sighs* I know it's hard to let go of something close to you. you'll see her when you get the chance." Mikey nods and sighs. a few weeks have passed, and Mikey is now at high spirits. he went to visit how you and cookie were doing. as he got there, he hugs and kisses you happy to see you. you take him to a second room you have in your apartment, and it's now a kitty playground. it had a cat tree, automatic feeder and water fountain, proper cat toys, and a big kitty bed. Cookie meows at Mikey happy to see him. he notices a collar with a tag around her neck. and thanks to Donnie, he gave her a GPS microchip in case she runs away and gets lost. you and Mikey were having a great time being with cookie playing with her and messing around. he is glad a girlfriend like you decided to keep cookie and the fact you are now one big happy family. Ginger: Who is the most intelligent? Who is the sensible one? Or do you share one braincell?

This question reminded me of a common "false friend" word type of situation - "sensible" in english is very close to "sensibil" in ro, which means "sensitive", which may be close to the term's meaning in english, but its not the same - i think sensible is more like.. emotionally intelligent? rational? Tangent aside, R.ocky is the more intelligent of the two, but thats a given, in the context of Morgen being deprived of most knowledge resources as she grew up. She was homeschooled, but by people specifically chosen by her father, that would give her his biased opinions as facts or censor/modify certain information. R.ocket definitely had a talk or two with her trying to convince her that "negative numbers", are , in fact, real - for example. He is very resourceful and informed, he can come up with solutions very quickly, he just knows a lot of stuff in general. I'm not sure I'd describe Morgen as sensible though. She can be pretty selfish and ignorant when it comes to other people, excluding her boyfriend. She's more inclined to choose the option that benefits her and those close to her rather than the logical/rational option. Honestly I'd say she shares one braincell with OG G.root of all people, when he was still alive at least T^T She's a lot more emotional and kind than R.ocket, but not necessarly in an intelligent way.

Taka and Frog are all about exploring the world together. They want (and need) to experience the outside world, to help with their issues caused by self-isolation, so trips are a common occurance in their lives. They certainly enjoy their domestic cozy life at home - but there is so much you can do there. Frogeru is usually very enthusiastic and excited to try out new hobbies with Ishi, while he sees them as learning experiences. They prefer to go alone, just the two of them, but when they choose more entertaining/fun locations, they invite their friends to tag along !! im not upset at all that its getting harder and harder to write about ishigeru. i keep forgetting stuff. where did i go wrong

Had a dream we were going through this super big church thing. Several rooms. There was an overlay of this hologram video that covered the entire room. It looked like a recording. Something might have been going on. It looked like a cross of something creepy like preparing for an exorcism or just a day in the life sort of thing. There were nuns?

Another room had priests around a big stone table.

I think we were some kind of tour group. It was creepy but kind of cool.

Another tourist woman got nervous, she edged around the stone table room to put her back to the wall to feel safer.

At one point I saw there was a whole room between me and mom in front of me. Like she was exiting as I just got in. It was big and I was kinda nervous about being left. It was creepy.

I'm riding on something. Like a tiny one person cart. and there's interesting tiles, like some have tribal animal designs.

I notice a raccoon? Come in behind me. It's just kinda wandering in, sniffing at the tile. It looks like a tanuki. Colored like one. Its limbs are very thin and stick-like. And it's face looks like a mask. (o_o)

The little cart is super slow so I try to get it to come to me. It wanders a little closer but doesn't want to come see me. Just acts like a raccoon I guess. But then it stops and presses its face into a blank tile and it's mask like.. burn/carves itself a copy into the floor. It 'looks' at me and wanders back out.

Someone says something like 'that's a "blankity blank" mask. I think it had the word tilt in it. When it was burned into the tile the snout part was off to the side and there was a tooth drawn in it. I guess you weren't supposed to look directly at it, or at it's actual beast. Some kind of creepy omen. 👀💦

I remember trying to get a photo of the tile but then people came in and refurbished it into a convenience store before I could. Mopped over the tiles and they changed.

I have no idea what any of it means but it was just a really creepy vibe. Not hostile though. Just ominous. 👀

I am obsessed with that raccoon. With its O eyes and o mouth. It almost looks like a monkey. But itsbody is definitely tanuki. With stick legs. Tanuki have black legs to begin with but it was weird because they're soft and furry and oblong and then.. sticks. And little coon hands.

Why did it copy its face into the floor. And why did it look at me. We're not supposed to look at it?? 😱

It was 4:30 in the morning. Ally woke up to the sound of her little sister's call. To any sibling, being woken up at an ungodly hour was simply annoying. Especially when there was a possibility of an unexpected trip downstairs to relay a message and retrieve dad or mom.

Ally groaned into her pillow, but no-one heard but Natasha. The feline huffed in at being awoken as well, and in retaliation, curled tighter into a knot. The silver Maine Coon made her point - she wasn't about to move an inch.

It was hard to get going, only because Ally wanted to stay in the comfort of her cushy bed. A plush trap that tried to lull her back to sleep. Nice, warm...cold and slimy? Wait.

There it was again.

Eye blearily opened, only to find her arm being nudged by a certain black canine.

"Yeah...yeah, I heard her, buddy." She tiredly pet the black canine, at least to offer assurance that she was truly waking up now. "I'm coming...I'm coming."

It took a moment, but eldest successfully made it out to bed, and followed Storm back to Dawn's room from the conjoined bathroom.

Ally listened to what Dawn had to say.

She had to take a moment or two to consider the request, or perhaps it was a sleepy brain that lagged a bit behind. Thankfully, it caught up, and the older sister softened.

"...Dawny, I...think I can help you with that."

The offer was made during a rather large yawn.

          SHE WAS SCREAMING. well, not actually. but in the confines of her nightmare, dawn was screaming. loudly. perpetually. to the point her throat was rubbed raw and dry. she couldn't swallow, could barely breathe. while it was only ONE part of her whole system, it made her feel as though she was on fire; caught in agony. rolling and twisting in the depths of sleep, face contorted with her horror, and open mouth was giving rapid exchange of oxygen, leaving her just as worn out in reality as the clutches of slumber.

     shadows were pressing in, looming over her. she couldn't run. she could never run. and even if she did, her speed wasn't going to get her far. not fast enough. dawn was at the m e r c y of the clawed hands that scraped at her from shapes of ink. they dragged her and pulled. storm wasn't there, her dad wasn't there, no one was there. pitiful whimper, trying to contain her sobs, her cries, trying to cease the screams. don't be more of a burden.

                   eventually, she jerked awake, aware of a chill due to sweat beading her forehead, slick on her body. gross... but would dry soon enough. not like there was anything she could do about it, and she wasn't soaked at the very least, just enough to let her know how deep the panic had run, and she choked on a few breaths that she attempted to swallow. brown depths were looking every which way, but darkness remained unmoving, and the brunette lay back into her pillow, s o b b i n g. the imagery still clung to her mind, a heavy blanket she couldn't shake for fear of freezing against the loneliness. nightmares were horrendous, but at least they didn't exist on their own. she could make companions our of the terrors... right?

        she wanted her dad. she wanted warmth to fill the empty space of bed beside her. storm loved her but wasn't the most attuned cuddler. not to mention she just wanted hands that could grab her and tell her she was fine. she was fine she was fine she was fine she was-

                  "get daddy..." whispered to storm, a request, but the canine whined, clearly uncertain as to how to solve the problem here. he knew who scott was, he knew what the ask was... but her door was closed and the item that usually danged on the handle to his convenience had… conveniently fallen off. he had no thumbs. USUALLY it was left open regardless, but she had been playing in quiet for a bit before tucking into bed and didn't want snoops... it had been forgotten to be reopened.

       he was trapped, and she knew it.

                     "ally? ally...?" little voice attempted to call, attempting to plea to the other room, to gather attention and bring it there. failure was her meeting, and dawn sunk into her pillow. her heart felt like it was suffocating, and strained sobs wracked her throat more. even if she hadn't actually be screaming, she felt as though she had, and it hurt to try and put much more effort into her cries. it would take a great deal to get anyone other than her siblings to hear her.

       luckily, storm knew this was feasible, and he pulled from where his head lay on the bed to disappear into her bathroom. it connected to ally's bedroom, and it seemed that that door wasn't shut. therefore, the shepherd WAS capable of getting ahold of someone... much to the elder sister's thrill.

                          a long stretch of silence. it gripped dawn tightly, like the shadow hands closing back in. she sunk into her bed further and further, the child wanting to scream once more. wanting to cry and wrench and squirm. but the door creaked, and she watched storm move to his bed, the soft glow of her nightlight enough to make out his midnight form. he settled, but in the doorway was ally, and the child trained tired gaze to the teen there. a sniffle or two, trembling. embarrassed, sorry. she HATED having to wake ally. it made her chest feel crushed, like something heavy had landed upon it, ripping away her strength. this was her sister, not her babysitter...

         "...the nightmares are scary. can you... can you go see if daddy will lay with me? i don't want to be alone." admitted concerns, choking over her words, yanking her blankets up close, then wrapping an arm around fifi beside her, the stuffed dog worn about the neck from nights upon nights of clutching.

         the offer to come was both surprising and not. it wasn't uncommon for ally to step in when she could, but dawn had figured that her sibling would want to return to the comfort of her own bed - to curl up and enjoy the rest of the hours in peace. however, there would come no qualms, no concerns, and no sadness over the possible outcome. ally was... an inspiration to her. tough yet bright and warm and cheerful. chaotic but in charge and valiant and brave and loyal. funny with a hint of spice and stubbornness... so much to look up to, to try and e m u l a t e. widened eyes, shimmery with relief and love, little hands loosening on her stuffie to hold out to her family. to embrace in relief and comfort, a comfort her heart longed for. knew she needed and knew she would accept.

                      "you're the bestest, ally..." soft tone, barely squeaking it out. sleep wanted to lull her, fear was already running off. her voice was strained, but she no longer cared. soon, ally would be lying beside her, gentle yet strong, sleepy yet protective. all would be right.
