i keep rewriting this ask, unfortunately— however, what i wish to say is that although i personally find it hard to distinguish between living & fictional characters (i overanalyze & see many of them as being sentient, in some capacity) i do absolutely agree logistically— hatsune miku cannot actually hate you, only someones idea of her in their mind can hate you. although canonically miku is sixteen her age is twisted various times for the narrative of the respective person, kind of like spiderman & the multiverses & the like.. this is long, but what im trying to say is keep doing what you like. like nice try miku, like whatever, really. you even have it stated you distance fiction from reality…

this is the last thing i will add since its a tangent in itself, but i believe fiction affecting reality can be true but not always like people state it will. i like midsommar & i believe liking it as a younger age changed me in some capacity—this does not mean i like cults & putting period blood in someones lemonade. i think its more so having media literacy & knowing when to distinguish actions from fiction from being real. just because we have the slenderman case where the two girls stabbed their friend does not mean regular individuals who like complex fictional relationships are all like this & going to abuse other people in real life & stab them. take care of yourself!
