Fee, Fi, Fo, Fum!
Hee, Hi, Ho, Hum!
I'm a most amazing guy!
A most amazing guy, am I!
Fee, Fi, Fo, Fum!
Hee, Hi, Ho, Hum!
I'm the stuff, I'm tellin' you!
For here's what I can do!
I can change myself into an elf!
Fly up high, like the birdies!
I can disappear into atmosphere...PEEK-A-BOO!
'Cause I know the Magic Wordies...
"Fee, Fi, Fo, Fum," Billy Gilbert.
-------------------------------------------------------------
My next image in my “OCs & Inspirations” series for Disney’s 100th Anniversary! This time, I present to you Billy Géant and his inspiration, Willie the Giant from the “Mickey and the Beanstalk” segment of a personal favorite Disney film of mine, “Fun & Fancy Free!” The art here was done by @twisted-brainrot.
Billy came about because I wanted to do something with one of my favorite fairy-tales, “Jack and the Beanstalk,” which is a big part of what I think “activated” the more macro/micro side of my many, MANY kinks and fascinations. My thought process was I could do one of two things: one was create an AU for Twisted Wonderland with some characters as giants and others as “Jacks” (which I eventually did for “My Hero Academia,” and may do again for another couple of anime-ish franchises I love). Two was to create my own OC based on a Disney giant - and I went with Willie for a LOT of reasons - and do something with them. Obviously, that is the choice I went with, and I have not seen a reason to regret it: alongside Nakoda, perhaps even MORE than Nakoda, Billy is my most popular OC for Twisted Wonderland. I think there’s more art and writing for him than any of my other major characters for this universe.
He’s also the closest to his source material. Willie the Giant, in his initial appearance (and most other antagonistic roles he’s had since), is essentially a villain by incidence rather than choice. The film actually states this in black and white: “Willie was a nice giant…he just got too big for his britches.” He’s not really EVIL, he’s basically just a big, dumb kid. He’s selfish and has a bad temper: when he causes trouble, it’s not because he’s trying to actively hurt anybody, but simply because he either doesn’t know or doesn’t care about the consequences of his actions (or both). When you push him the wrong way, he then shows his dangerous side, as he can go from cuddly and silly to a terrifying titan of rage. Billy is the exact same way. As well as having a lot of Willie’s superficial elements as a character, the main takeaway between the two is that inherent childishness, and the dichotomy of danger and sweetness it provides. Billy is a lovable dunderhead who only becomes truly cruel and vicious when someone REALLY presses his buttons, and typically is only an antagonist because circumstance has sort of put him in that position. The big difference between the two is what they seek: Willie’s problem-causing is usually a result of greed or ignorance. Billy, however, is someone with a LOT of personal issues: he’s lived a large portion of his life being neglected, rejected, abandoned, and betrayed. He’s effectively a very lonely person who just wants some affection, some respect, and above all some companionship. Show him those things, and you’ll probably be fine.
As to the art…I asked Twisted-Brainrot to do this one because he’s actually made more art for Billy than anybody else, and because he’s also a big fan of Willie the Giant. I’m not sure, but I think this might have been his first (public) outing with the Disney original, and he did an absolutely MARVELOUS job. Seeing the big guy paired up with Billy is truly a treat, and speaking of Billy, I just love how cute he is. TB always draws him with this really cuddly “extra plush” appearance, and it’s truly beautiful to see him that way with his great-great granddaddy. Good big bois, both of ‘em. <3

Letters to Old Friends . . .
Thumbing through these old messages, once sent with such care, now moldering in their dank secrecy.
Words that meant the world way back when, now only serve to bring with them the vulgar stench of regret. How I wish that I could still reach across the mental void to you.
Continually tormenting myself with such painful written reminisces, I just can't seem to let go of these archived folders filled with memories, like forgotten children stuck in residual games of file-tag, slamming into me and imprinting their dead letters on my skin.
I can't even recall when it was that we stopped talking and hanging out every day, greedily hanging onto each other's' words like candied delights to be savored, what makes us fade away from constant communication with the ghostly-yellow permanence of faded-paper finality?
I used to spend so much time just waiting for your singular presence, preserved in loose-leaf elegance and folded away, with all of the anticipation of an over-eager child, pacing and twitching, now our every interaction is filled with the alacrity of deliberate erasure.
Yet I can't fully banish the resounding echo of your thoughts from my aching heart or twisted mind, and would joyfully welcome back the familiar warmth of your inked-up pages with open arms, if only you could see me through the shredded remains of our past remorse and my current chagrin.
There's nothing worse than unfinished things that are never properly laid to rest, like paper cuts on flesh seething within the salt-water flood of my brain, So I'm casting out my language of light, like bobbing lures of bottles in an ocean of white noise, Just to give me one more fight to hang on to, to spur you into some kind of inertia-laden prosaic motion.
I'm starting to think that I'll forever search the dark trees and city lights for literary signs of you, blindly groping the rough brick of decrepit buildings for the hand-made calligraphy of your ugliest verbal graffiti, sweating through my poetic desires as an excited pyromaniac burns through all of their matches, just to illuminate all of the sights and try to place the oral history of your most recent passage.

❇ More ❇ writing advice from my professors: Vocabulary
Every writer's ability to tell a story is limited by their readers' ability to read it.
Write for your target audience's comprehension level and build in guiding phrases for those reading above theirs. Refrain from needlessly complicating your writing with excessively lengthy multisyllablic terms when you can get your point across just as well with simpler words.

Day Eight
Loki x Reader
Summery: Day eight that's the summery
Gift Credit: @lokiprompts
Note: Am I projecting with this series yes I am, have I made my family members characters, yes I have.
Also I am sorry it's short.
Y/N woke up in the morning with a groan, and then looked out the window and groaned even more at the snow falling to the ground. and then yet again at the lack of god in her bed.
"LOKI!!!!!!!!" She yelled
"I'm here my love," Loki said walking into the room.
"Babe it's snowing."
"I know."
"How many days till Mexico?"
"Thirteen"
"UUUUUGGGGHH that's too many!"
"I know love, but you don't have to work today."
"Yes I do."
"Nope! They called and the roads are too icy you have the day off. So you can spend it with me the kittens."
"I do love the kittens, which by the way I talked to my sister, they agreed to watch the kittens for the holidays, they said Birdie will love the company."
"Birdie?"
"Their cat," Y/N groaned once more "What's for breakfast?"
"These muffins that I just picked up for you!" Loki exclaimed.
"You got me muffins from where?"
"Umm I may have went to visit your grandmother, she also sent an apple pie."
"Yes!! Loki I think this is the best gift so far."
"Cause it's food?"
"No cause it's food made by my Memere duh. Her apple pie is the best!"
"I can't wait to try it." Loki smiled.
"Who said I'm sharing?" Y/N laughed.
"She did, she said you had to share it."
"Well in that case pie for breakfast!"
Loki chucked "Alright my love"

Reblogging for the time-zone difference! I got some good stuff so far!
Send me one-word prompts! And a dynamic or character if you like~
Momo and Annie left general prompts: glass, flabbergasted, elegant, deja vu, cream, abstract, ballgown, nature, dusk, ennui, discovery
Alex and Salty went all-in on femslash: dumpling, sunrays (Rose/Elle) + memory, moonlight, stargazing (Alice/Mina)
Birdie opted for a Carlisle-centric piece with 'hands', but challenged me to go for a drabble (or a series of drabbles), with how wordy I am!
...
Even if it takes me a while to write them, I plan to do them all!
After all, I want to populate my profile, the Winter Light series, *and* the four ship tags! Also... do y'all know how rare those tags are?
Including Apricity, Alice/Jessamine has 35, Rosalie/Eleanor has 18, Edward/Mike has 11, and Carlisle/Beau wins... with just Apricity! There is a reason I use the Carlisle/Bella tag on my stuff, after all... but yeah! I'm going to work on that and change it over time~
One Word Prompts
I suppose this was an inevitability, after being tagged and/or encouraged by @tsunderewatermelon, @alpaca-clouds, @udaberriwrites, @0nelittlebirdtoldme, and @axolotlsupremacyowo. I'm also tagging @lena-hills, @kayedium-writes, @mrsmungus, @sliebman10, @oceangirl24, @aislinnstanaka, @writingpotato07, @danceswithdarkspawn, and anyone else who is interested, just so I have enough prompts on hand to work through. I know it'll take me a while, but it usually takes some time before the pieces click in my head anyways. Besides, I keep a running Google Doc for ideas.
(Note: this is subject to change - last edited on Jan 29, 2023)
Here's the deal. I'm completely new to prompts (as of 23/01/29), I don't work well with too many specifications, my brain is stuck in the Winter Light verse, *and* I'm placing a max word count on myself.
All of this to say:
Send me a one-word prompt (I'm open to anything, tbh)
I will write something within the Winter Light verse (either the 'canon' timeline or an AU/divergence with the same dynamics)
There is a 2.5k word maximum, but no minimum
I'm not sure how open my brain is to specific character or dynamic requests, but I'll do what I can. If there are any other topic/style-related requests, feel free to leave them and I'll try my best.
I'm a slow writer and have my long-fics and real life to deal with, so I can't promise a timeline. However, I will get to all the prompts.
I am cool writing over all ratings, dynamics (romantic and platonic), and characters. However, I will only write romantic dynamics 'canon' to the Winter Light verse (below list is subject to additions).
Carlisle Cullen / Beau Swan Edward Cullen / Mike Newton Rosalie Hale / Elle (Eleanor) Cullen Alice Cullen / Mina (Jessamine) Hale
If you are unfamiliar, the Winter Light verse is a world I created from near-scratch for my Twilight/Life and Death rewrite. I changed a lot of things - including backstories, magic system, vampire biology, dynamics, lore, history, etc. You can check out my pinned post, as well as the chapter 1 A/N in Apricity on AO3, for more information.
That's all for now. This post is subject to change in the future, as I get more comfortable with prompts and (hopefully) become more able to write specific character/dynamic/genre requests.

Sorry to ask this but I'm really curious about your age when you're stating that you already been in Fandom for 19 years. How old are you BTW?
As I was telling Birdie earlier: I’ll be 33 in 2019, which will make it the perfect age to get crucified by my online antagonists, I have to assume.
I can’t remember if I entered fandom at 12 or 13, but it was around the time everybody and their aunt was into Lord of the Rings and/or Harry Potter, and incidentally discovering the Interwebz and its infinite possibilities. (Mostly, the possibilities for smut publishing, it seems)
Fandom was one of the two things that got me to learn English, as a matter of fact—the other one being an excellent English teacher in high school who made us study Pride & Prejudice by making us read aloud long passages and takes notes from long, wordy literary commentaries she would dictate; which might well serve to explain most of the way I write (and speak) English, mind you, which is like a cranky, perhaps slightly drunk Victorian upstart.
