WIP Wednesday: Second Glance Part 5
I still haven't given up on this despite it being... over two years since the last chapter upload. I want to finish it. I have an outline for it. I have a vague idea of how I want to finish it.
Just getting myself to put in the leg work to do it has proven to be the most challenging thing. Doubts and deep insecurities are pretty rampant with this work as a whole, most of them pretty silly if I think on them for more than a few minutes, but still, two years is a long time to leave a fic hanging.
I think... for a new years resolution for next year, I'll try to finish this chapter in between doing 100 Themes. To get over those doubts and insecurities and put out something I'm proud of. No promises on when the chapters after it will come out, but I want to finish this chapter at least.
So, here's what I've got thus far. Some things might change between this and the final version (I'm still in an internal self debate of where I want to put Mitsunari in this chapter so where he is now might change in the future.) Having fun with the Nobu twins banter and Mitsuhide being Mitsuhide tho.
Raw, unedited writing down below. Little warning about Hideyoshi *ahem* waking up to a surprise (there's a reason this work is rated mature on ao3), some crude language from the Nobu twins, Mitsuhide flirting as always, there's a little random paragraph about Masamune that I meant to incorporate better, but it's just sitting there for now, might be moved to next chapter but I'm not sure.
And also, previous four chapters are up on ao3!
-----
Hideyoshi had awoken before dawn, the sky still clinging to the darkness of the night. The room had grown colder in his fitful sleep, a light plume of heat escaping his lips as he rubbed his eyes.
He'd barely slept that night, a common enough occurrence as of late, but the chill of the room helped to calm the heat coursing through him. Feeling a dampness against his thigh, however, he sighed defeated.
"You're acting like a kid with his first crush." He mumbled as his brows furrowed. "After a single kiss? Really?"
He roughly rubbed his face and hair, trying to wake himself up more.
"I'm not that bad for her."
Hideyoshi grumbled a bit more, cleaning himself off with his handkerchief and went in search of his ward. He wandered down the hall, dawn's early light just peeking over the horizon. His toes felt the chill of the early morning, everything quiet and still.
He paused in front of one doorway, feeling heat escaping through the slightly open screen.
He frowned and slid the door open further, spying your sleeping figure with two little intruders curled up by your sides. One was a tiny monkey that must've escaped her cage during the night (he must've been dead asleep for her to escape unheard he thought), the other a silky grey cat whose ears twitched at his approach, training their purple eyes on him when he got close enough.
The sigh that was on his lips quickly died away when he saw you sprawled on the futon, extra kimonos and blankets thrown askew. An innocent enough display, you got too warm and had unconsciously tried to remedy the situation.
He then started at the sight of your kimono in disarray, the sash barely keeping the garment closed. You were turned to your side, thankfully, but he couldn't help but stare at your barely covered breasts, your legs mimicking a large step with your butt fully on display, and the quiet groans that made his mouth dry.
He did not need this so early in the morning.
Holding his breath, trying his best to not make a sound, he pulled one of the strewn kimonos over you, tucking it in gingerly. Though the room was still warm thanks to brazier in the corner, the thought of someone else finding you in that state made his skin crawl. Something he should not be experiencing, but he was, nonetheless.
He checked you over, to be sure you were decently covered, finding his hand lingering longer on your swollen stomach than anything else. To his surprise, he felt movement against his hand once again, making him sigh.
"Not too much longer," he whispered. "You'll be so spoiled rotten once you're born."
He then turned towards you, still asleep.
"And, sorry, [Name], that I can't love you in the way you deserve."
He gingerly brushed your hair out of your face, placing a chaste kiss on your temple.
"You'll be the greatest mother. I know you will be. Just promise you won't hate me too much, down the line."
With a final tuck, he closed his eyes and stood up, giving you one more glance before exiting the room, closing the door behind him.
He pushed the hair out of eyes again before he heard frantic footsteps.
"Lord Hideyoshi!" Mitsunari called out.
Hideyoshi froze, putting his finger to his lips.
"[Name] is still sleeping," he said quietly, "And what have I told you about run-"
"Forgive me, Lord Hideyoshi," Mitsunari said quieter, "but Oda banners were spotted on the horizon. Along with at least 100 soldiers."
Hideyoshi's eyes widened, then he muttered a curse.
"Go find Mitsuhide and alert the guards." He paused, "and send a few here to guard this room."
Mitsunari nodded and headed off with his orders. Hideyoshi spared another glance back, seeing Uri and Kitty peeking through the door crack.
"Watch over them, both of you."
He then turned his back and headed back to his room, looking at his armor with a frown.
[end scene transition]
---------
"Who said you could bring a battalion with you?!" Nobutaka glared at his brother while the other picked in his ear.
"Best to be prepared." Nobukatsu replied, flicking off the wax from his ear, his breaths coming out in puffs.
"And spending the night traveling to Azuchi was a great plan! I'm freezing!"
"The sun's coming up now. You'll be warm soon enough."
Nobutaka shivered, pulling his furs closer.
"I knew bringing you along was a mistake."
"We've made good time, so shut your hole."
"We traveled ALL night long. In the middle of the spring thaw."
"Good eye. Anything else you want to point out?"
"I'm killing you if I lose any extremities because of this."
"What, you gonna throw your frozen balls at me? They might shatter mid-flight! No chance of killing me that way. You'll have to try harder, dumbass."
Nobutaka growled, but held his tongue. He wasn't about to let his brother's barbs get to him.
"Remember, we're here just to scout."
"I know."
"So you stay with your battalion while I try to figure out that monkey's goals."
"Sounds boring."
"We're not here for a fight. I've told you that multiple times."
"And you keep on repeating as if it'll stick in my head."
"No fighting until I say so. I'll send for you if things turn sour."
Now, Nobukatsu glared.
"Fine. But I won't wait forever."
"You'll wait for as long as I need you to."
"Or what? I just wait until the butt monkey comes to find me with your head on a pike?"
"He wouldn't be that moronic. Either of our heads on a pike means the Oda wages war on him."
"Heh, if only. Makes me want him to pike you."
"You would."
"It'd make my day."
"I'm sure it would."
Both brothers looked ahead, spying the tower of the castle in the distance. Nobukatsu shielded his eyes from the morning light, smirking.
[end transition scene]
------ Mitsuhide moved his head side to side, trying to relieve his stiff neck. No rest for the wicked, he thought with a grumble.
He then spotted Hideyoshi up ahead, staring into the distance, his hand on his sword. Mitsuhide approached quietly, his only sound being his own sword and rifle clinking together.
"It was bound to happen sooner or later." Mitsuhide said, his gaze also looking off into the distance.
"I know," Hideyoshi responded, looking lost. "I didn't think it'd happen this soon."
"Hmm."
Mitsuhide then turned to look at Hideyoshi, sharp golden eyes searching through Hideyoshi's softer tawny eyes.
"So, what are we going to do?"
"Make sure the townspeople are safe, then confront them. See what they want."
"We both know they want you. Your head, more specifically. The assassins made that clear."
"Not me, really. Just the things I'm holding onto. Lord Nobunaga's legacy."
"Hmph, you sell yourself short, Hideyoshi. As always."
"Not in the mood, Mitsuhide."
"You do have the worst talent of calling attention to yourself, you know."
Hideyoshi growled while the other chuckled, shrugging quietly.
"I'll send my men to look after [Name] while we see what the boys are demanding this time."
"I already have guards on standby for her."
"Think of it as making sure she's doubly safe. Lord Nobutaka is cunning while his brother is impulsive and short-tempered. We shouldn't underestimate either of them."
"…Right."
Birds chirped nearby, both men turning and seeing a nest in the nearby tree, a mother with a worm in her beak landing on the holding branch.
"Have you given anymore thought," Mitsuhide mused aloud, "as to what you're going to do with [Name] and her child?"
"That's up to her."
"An Oda son will put an end to all of this squabbling."
"I know."
"And an Oda daughter will be vulnerable without her father. A true game of chance on our hands."
"I know," Hideyoshi repeated. "[Name] will hate me, either way."
"Why?"
"For using her son to stop the noble squabbles over Azuchi… or failing to protect her daughter from being taken into the wrong hands."
-----
"I heard Masamune was making the trip from Oshu as he wanted to meet first with [Name] in time to meet the little bundle."
"Perfect timing if we need his help, but he's still a month early."
"You always harped on him on his magical ability to always arrive late. Maybe he took the message to heart."
"He also promised to drag Ieyasu out of Mikawa with him."
"That'll take him even longer."

To continue supporting content makers, this tag game is meant to show the entire process of making creative content: this can be for any creation.
RULES - When your work is tagged, show the process of its creation from planning to posting, then tag up to 5 people with a specific link to one of their creative works you’d like to see the process of. Use the tag #showyourprocess so we can find yours.
I've been tagged by @lordbelacqua (thank you Dea! <3) to talk about Backlead aka: that one Masriel fic I wrote where I got massively carried away...
Rambling/essay under the cut - fair warning, it's a long one!
Okay so first of all just a little disclaimer that Backlead did not follow my usual writing process - the idea was 110% borne out of self-indulgence and it was also both my first foray into HDM fanfic and my return to fanfic as a whole after a long hiatus from writing, so for me this was really a chance to just get back into the swing of things. Everything from Heavenly Guard through to Swansong and all of my current WIPs follow a more structured process and I'm happy to discuss any of them in a separate post!
PLANNING: I tend to find with my fics that I either have a nice little timeline of events planned out pre-writing or I have a very specific event in my head and I just take that and see how things unravel from there and Backlead was 100% the latter.
All I had in my head initially was the ballroom dance scene and so a lot of my admittedly-minimal planning was around the technicalities of that particular section, as well as some of the more general details e.g Marisa's outfit, the setting of the ball, etc. Planning the dance was the most fun part because it was a chance for me to put a lot of my dance knowledge to good use and think up something that fits the back-and-forth way in which Marisa and Asriel frequently navigate their encounters. In a way though I'm actually very glad that a lot of this fic Just Happened instead of being planned out, sometimes it's nice to just run away with an idea!
MUSIC: This gets its own section because this is one of the most important things in my process. Every single fic I write is written to various pieces of music that just help me to put myself in the right headspace for whatever I'm writing at the time - sometimes its just a single piece of music (I wrote Swansong in one hour with just one track from the Unforgotten - a TV show in the UK for those of you not familiar with it - soundtrack on repeat) and sometimes its entire playlists. I do love geeking out about my music choices for fic writing so happy to talk more in a separate post about music for some of my other fics if anyone's curious!
For Backlead I found a couple of playlist-vids from the lovely raviolae on youtube that really worked wonders for my writing. This comes with a disclaimer that I did not necessarily attribute any of these specific songs to either dance scene and I wanted to leave that open for people's imagination - but it's still brilliant vibes for thinking about two once-lovers-now-enemies trying to one-up each other whilst ignoring how much they still find each other attractive.
The two playlist-vids in question are here: you're stuck on the dance floor with your rival and find out they're an annoyingly good dancer and you're dancing with your rival and both of you want to lead
WRITING: First step every time is to figure out who's POV I'm going to cover because that makes a major difference in the way I'm going to write. Characterisation is the big thing for me and there's nothing I love more than to really get inside a character's head and basically think like them, and figure out what makes them tick and how they'll react to the story I'm putting them in. With my initial idea for Backlead being basically about the subtle power dynamics of a ballroom dance, Marisa felt like the natural go-to for this one and I found it much easier in this instance to write in her headspace than in Asriel's.
I wrote this fic in a very out-of-order fashion. The first dance (the slower, waltz-style dance) was the first part I finished, then I did as hinted at above get very carried away and move onto the section in the hallway, then I went right to the start and covered the entire section leading up to that first dance. Then I revisited the hallway scene because I wanted to rework it (the initial version was planned to be more explicit and involved less dialogue - but I wasn't comfortable with writing out the former at that time and the latter got changed by way of me having a sudden burst of dialogue-themed inspiration). The second, more set piece style dance came last in terms of the 'major events' that I wrote purely because I spent a lot of time racking with my dance knowledge to try and make it work in a way that didn't feel forced.
My final major writing stage is to write the 'transitions' between each major part - small pieces where nothing particularly noteworthy happens but it helps the fic to flow from one conversation/event to the next and also sometimes allows me to sneak in a bit of characterisation that I couldn't fit in elsewhere.
Along the way I often leave sentences half-finished with a bracket indicator so I know to go back to it later or I make little notes if I've added something in that needs explaining earlier in the fic, and I make sure to sort those parts out before I jump to the self review/beta reader stage. A couple of examples are below:
Although sometimes this method does also annoy future me too 😂:
SELF REVIEW/BETA REVIEW: Whenever I finish a fic, it gets put away for a day or two and I stop thinking about it completely - if I'm using a beta reader (usually @thatlavanderbard but I sometimes enlist help from friends on discord), I'll send them a copy of my draft at this point so they can start going through and leaving comments for me to work on, but the idea is that when I go back to my work a few days later I'm looking at it with semi-fresh eyes and can properly sift through each sentence to make sure things make sense.
When I'm self-reviewing I generally tend to follow this order of operations: spelling/grammar check (via docs') -> flow check (making sure any deliberate time skips/POV changes/etc in my fic flow smoothly from one part to the next) -> address beta reader comments (because they almost always pick up on things I myself would've picked up on anyway) -> general detailed final read through to make sure I'm happy with every single line and it all makes sense.
Backlead didn't get a full beta read because I had hit a point with it where I just wanted it up ASAP and my impatience got the better of me, but the rest of the above self-review stages still happened and I still spent a fair few evenings going through it properly and also running the occasional sentence or two by some helpful discord friends if I didn't like the way it flowed but couldn't quite figure out how to remedy it!
POSTING: First step was to reset my AO3 password because I forgot it yet again whoops
On a more serious note this part is pretty straightforward - once I'm ready to post a new fic I generally just go on autopilot for this part of the process (other than when I get to 'additional tags' and immediately get brain freeze...). As soon as it's up on AO3 I swing by here to make a post about it, then swing by discord to drop the link to friends who may be interested in reading it and then I normally nervously scuttle away from my notifications for a while out of fear that people hate it lmao.
That last part was especially true for Backlead because of it being my first trip into HDM fanfic and I always get extra nervous when posting my first fanfic for a new show/game/etc. Thankfully I got quite a few nice comments both on here and on discord that provided good motivation to stick around and post a few more things!
I always panic when asked to tag people lmao but I'll tag @fortheloveofwii for any part of the Onward, Onward series, @lyracordelia for any chapter in Hiraeth or the fic as a whole, and @glassrunner for this absolutely gorgeous gifset of beautiful game soundtracks. Please don't feel like you have to do this if you don't want to though!
#stel talks#showyourprocess#y'all thought i rambled in my fics just look at me rambling here#i'm hoping this makes sense!#it was nice to dive into how my brain works when i try to write things#my writing

Nocturne Alchemy Vaults: Part One
Originally published on 4/30/2019
I'm on a mission, after completing my month of samples! I've got a good collection of what I call Vaults - perfumes from the early days of Nocturne Alchemy, long before I started collecting. And I tend to hoard these, rather than wearing them. I don't think I have enough for a solid month, but I'm going to try to do a few weeks of these, spread out over the course of a month, and do a bi-weekly update. Maybe it will force me to wear these beauties as intended!
I have a mixture of both LC (limited collection) and PC (permanent collection), but it's mostly LC in these, so I want to go ahead and warn you now, these are probably hard to get, but it can't hurt to put out an ISO (in search of) in the NA Marketplace Facebook group. They age wonderfully, so it might be worth the hunt!
Let's get this shindig started!
Eternal Egypt Summer Crystalline REZ: White Amber Absolute, Limestone Amber Resin, Lime Zest, Saffron, Gold Santalum, Moonstone (African White Vanilla Bean), with the new addition of Crystalline (Egyptian Vanilla Orchid stigma Resin) Absolute aged with Kyphi (a honey, raisin, & wine based incense), Guaiacwood eo, Mandarin Skin, Egyptian Sugar and French Golden Amber Resin. This baby is a favorite of mine, I have several backups of this with varying fill levels that I've nabbed over time from the Marketplace, and from Laura. It came out in 2015, the first year I started collecting NA. It's SO, SO GOOD. Like, my ultimate summer scent, honestly - besides the Tea collection! I will continue to keep an eagle eye out for more. A girl can never have too many, right? Right!! Hah. Okay, so if you've ever experienced Eternal Egypt, this is an enhanced version, with a zip of citrus (the lime is fabulous, seriously) and the beauty of Crystalline vanilla - honestly, it's just the right amount, it doesn't take over the other notes. It's so aged, I don't get really the kyphi, which I love, or the saffron. But that's okay. It seems simple, but there's definitely some complexity. I have raved and raved about this one, maybe one day they'll make a version something like it in the future! PS. If you haven't tried Eternal Egypt, what in the world are you waiting for? Remedy that as quickly as possible! *wink* Seriously, it's a fan favorite, and it's a lovely scent.
SP 8: Sandalwood, Teak, Rosewood, Cedar, Black Amber, Black Musk, Black Myrrh and Black Patchouli in a sea of memory. This is from 2013. This is a beautifully dark scent, the woods and resins are just, at this point, incredibly potent. I don't need a lot. I love to pair this with a vanilla, like Crystal, or Protoceratops, to keep it from going too dark on me. I think this one is pretty unisex, and I think it would be fantastic on a guy too. The sweetness of the myrrh, amber, and cedar is perfect against the heavier patchouli and black musk. I don't know a lot about this collection, but somewhere in my dusty memory I remember that SP stands for Steam Punk, and this was a pretty limited collection, so I treasure having both this and SKL, below.
SP SKL: Damp woods, Aged Velvet Crystal Vanilla (Vanilla Musk), the scent of old linen in a coffin, a touch of graveyard musk and a sentient of mystery. Like SP 8, this is also from 2013. Gorgeous. I have a bottle of Crystal, from the SL section, and I love it. First thing I catch is that vanilla musk, but it's aged and deepened. Paired with the woods, this is so gothic. I particularly love to wear this one in the fall and winter, it feels very cozy and like a warm, dark hug. There's like a dark sexiness lurking under the snuggly vanilla.
Cleopatra Moon: Fresh Peach Incense, Peach Essence, Egyptian Frankincense Resinoid, Egyptian Myrrh Lite Resinoid, Sapphire Amber-Musk, Persian Sandalwood, White Peppercorn Essential Oil and a drop of Egyptian Hibiscus and a breath of Egyptian Hyacinth Petal. This treasure is from 2011, the Pharaoh Moons collection, from what I can see. I got this one from my friend Melissa, and oh, how hard did I fall for this? She's gorgeous. It starts out with their luscious, juicy peach, just bursting out of the bottle and onto your skin. That's followed closely by a melange of resins, so well blended I can barely pick them out, but I think that the Sapphire keeps this bright and helps the peach linger. I don't really get the hibiscus or hyacinth, on my skin - they may be background notes, or as aged as this is, impossible to discern. I do get a little kick of pepper, which is always a welcome smell for me. It adds the slightest spiciness, but it's not obtrusive. Cleopatra Moon curls around me for quite a long time, I get at least eight hours from it. It's enchanting and mysterious, what I imagine her namesake to be.
Selket Anti-Venom Rez: In the new composition I took the old recipe and changed it toward more of an ode to Crème de Menthe bringing up the mint essential oil note and adding nuances of Crystal, Blue Sugar and a little Incense in the shadows before the scorpion Goddess stings with her tail. The Crème de Menthe composed with marshmallow and peppermint eo. This one came out the same year as Eternal Egypt Summer Crystalline REZ, 2015. If I remember correctly, it came out in the summer - and while I absolutely adore my Victorian Candy Cane Crystalline, this is the mint I reach for when I want something cool feeling in the summer. It's like a creamy, mint drink, on a long screened in verandah. There's a crust of sugar in here, as well - I love their sugar notes. But this definitely feels green, it's different than the Christmas VCCC. There's a slight hint of liqueur. Absolutely adore this, and I should wear it more often, but I'm guilty of hoarding it. I will note that in long drydown - this lasts a while! - the mint fades a little bit, and you're left with a sweet, creamy, sort of musky marshmallow, with just a hint of the mint. Just as beautiful as the beginning stages, though.
Bastet's Witching Hour: Black Incense, Black Vanilla, Black Haitian Voodoo Vetiver, Black Aged Cedar, Black Cherry Extract, Black Aged Saffron and Black Amber rests at the death of this hour. I usually store all my Vaults in the same box, but - in order to confuse myself, hah! - I store my NAlloween Vaults in with the NAlloween box. So I'd actually realized when I was pulling out my Sleep Elixir that I had more Vaults than I realized! Anyway. this beauty is from 2011. I have two bottles of it, this was my first experience with NA's cherry and I fell hard for it. This isn't a candy or cough drop cherry by any means - this is a sexy, alluring fruit and dark resin perfume. The incense curls around you, and entwines with the slightly tart cherry. The vetiver is smoky, and the cedar is sweet and woody, they sure do woods right. I feel dark and witchy when I wear this, and I crave it all year. But of course, my favorite time of year to pull it out is fall, and I reach for it often. Incredible.
Hathor's Peach Kaproret Tea: Sensual Peach, Coconut powder, African Kaproret Tea, Fresh morning Apple (subtle), Tibetan Black Tea Leaves and Egyptian Plum. Here's another early one, from 2009. I've got about a quarter of a bottle left, it's one of the beautiful green 5mls. This one is a lovely summery scent, a little bit of tropical feel with the fruit/tea blend. I'm not sure what kaproret tea is like (EDIT: I've since learned it's a black tea type from Kenya!), but I definitely get the black tea, but there's another tea-scent in there that I've never had myself before, and it's almost got a zing to it, and it works really well with the lush peach and coconut notes. Thankfully I don't need a lot of this, because it's so aged, because I love it, and I'm hoarding it. I do have Peach Cardamom Tea from the Summer Tea Service, but that's quite a bit different than this. If you love tea and fruit, and happen to come across this one, I would not hesitate to get it! As with my other Teas from NA, there's never a bitter edge to the black tea, it's smooth and distinctive, and balances so well with the fruits. I've also worn this with a few of the Tea Service, Coconut Milk, Sugarcube, and Rice Milk, and they all pair well with it.
Y'all, I got pretty behind on this - life got really busy! I meant to have it up a week ago, but there's all kinds of stuff going on here in our little corner of the world. I'll try to get on the second half of this with a little more expediency! I hope you enjoyed this first half, though. There are some pretty amazing treasures to be had in hunting these down.

Hi again ^^ Sorry I'm still anon and haven't been responding. I got hit with a huge wave of work and have barely slept the last few days. But it's all over now and I'll get your gift to you soon!! Biotech is essentially trying to make a biological product! It's a huge field so there's a lot of things from like pharmaceuticals, cell therapy, to things like bio-remediation and environmental stuff. Your genetics teacher might be thinking about bioinformatics which is biotech and a lot of coding XD
But good luck with applying to med school! If that’s your dream there are always ways to make it work! I believe in you ^^ Oh I’m from around the New England area. I did my undergrad in New Jersey and now I’m doing my master’s in Rhode Island. Yes I studied in Stockholm! I traveled to the more touristy areas of Europe because I’ve never been to Europe, but I really wanna just take a backpacking trip around one day. There’s so many different places to go TT And so much foooooood
I have been to Taiwan a few times! It’s been a while though. Most of my mom’s side of the family is back there, but my dad’s side of the family is in the US. I have a younger sister! Haha I know what you mean about being asked where you’re from though. When I was abroad I’d get asked where I’m from and I’d say the US, but then one person was like “but where are you REALLY from”. Honestly I also feel pretty out of touch with Taiwanese culture even though I have some habits. I really feel American
I saw True Love but I haven’t had time to hear the whole thing! That’s my weekend goal. But I believe City of Angels (lol laser) was the one he sang at the fanmeet so I’m already in love with that one. So good TT And he wrote that one himself
It was only Myung in the Winter Olympics one! It’s understandable though, there were so many groups in the summer competition one and Infinite was a little neglected imo. But they still managed to get me with hamster gyu and like 5 seconds of Destiny lol. Actually MBLAQ was in this ep too! Lee Joon and Kwangsoo make the most amazing combo ever omg. I def miss the name tag eliminations though. They hardly do them anymore. I really liked the time period when they did creative versions of the game.
Ohhhh I think I’ve heard of MBLAQ Goes to School. I should look into it haha. I’m always up for a laugh. Sesame player was amazing. Lol and those pranks XD I remember (I think it was Dongwoo) was like “when did this become a prank house” after that salt prank and I’m like lol only infinite. Can’t even safely eat food in their own home. These dorks.
Ahhh tell me was so good. I like Infinie’s old style of music but I like this kind of softer edm music too. It’s like the stuff I usually like to listen to lol. Idk if that was a good description of the song but that’s kinda how I see it lol. And Sunggyu and Dongwoo were so good that comeback. Like that second verse was a Donggyu attack. I don’t know if I have a favorite concept from them really? They kind of have everything for every mood. But I have a running play list of their upbeat music.
The stuff like Julia, Amazing, Lately, etc. I keep that playlist around when I’m having a hard time studying and stuff. It brightens my mood. As for english songs I kinda just….turn on the radio and find something I like haha. I don’t really have a preference with those. Ahhh I feel like I did a really bad job of getting to know you, I always just talk about myself haha. Tell me 5 random things that make you like or make you happy that you haven’t talked about!
Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry for taking forever and an age to reply back to you!!! I’m so sorry, and I don’t even have a good excuse like being busy with work, it’s just honest to goodness pure laziness on my part and not going on my laptop for forever. I hope you haven’t forgotten me and that you’ll reveal yourself!!
I hope you haven’t gotten busy again (you’re graduating this year right?). What are you focusing on in biotech? And I think you may be right about my professor meaning bioinformatics… I vaguely remember that term ^^;
You’ve certainly hopped around during your university years ^^ What countries did you visit in Europe? My parents surprised me by sending me to the UK for 2 weeks after my exams to join my sister there… It was amazing and I’ve always wanted to go there, but we ran out of time to hit everything we wanted to do. We couldn’t go to Ireland, which was my biggest disappointment. What is your most favourite memory from exchange? And what place did you like best?
I actually feel like a complete stranger… I don’t feel Canadian, Singaporean or Indian. I don’t really fit in any place completely, I’m a bit too traditional in Canada, too modern in India and Singapore… Well, I’m not exposed to the culture at all really. Funny thing… Singapore used to be not as well known when I was younger and I remember a kid trying to convince me it was part of the US. Even now, some people think it’s in India. The funniest is actually when I met Chinese international students, so many think that Singapore has only people of Chinese descent. When I explained that my dad’s family is from there and my mother from India, they thought my dad was Chinese.
What’s this whole City of Angels/Laser thing? I’ve seen mention of it, but I don’t get it… Did Sunggyu think the song was called Laser? (This shows up much I keep up with them, except for their music ^^;). You must have heard the album by now… So what’s your favourite? (Also, I didn’t know Sunggyu wrote that… Good to know and it makes me love it even more!)
Um… I think I started giffing around 2013 ish? Then I stopped while in uni, in fact my blog was basically inactive, and only just recently started fooling around on Photoshop again. I was quite atrocious in the beginning and am much fonder of my new stuff. But… I’m also quite lazy so I tend to not gif as much as I want to.
I 100% recommend MBLAQ goes to school. Joon and Mir are such jokesters. Sesame Player is still my favourite variety show to watch, all that screaming and backstabbing… And Sungyeol? He’s just too awesome. I would never have thought of injecting vinegar into bananas the way he did, that was a true genius move. Myungsoo’s, that was predictable, but that banana prank was just first class.
Do you prefer their upbeat songs more or is that just better to run to? My favourite upbeat song is Cover Girl… Have you heard the concert version where Sungyeol raps? I wish he would get a chance to do that in their songs, I think he raps pretty well.
I think we got to know each other pretty well? In fact, I too often think I wrote too much about myself.
5 things I like/make me happy… Hmm…
1. Being with my family - yes, we fight a lot, but we’re also really close and really stupid… My mother is crazy, my father is bullied… They’re what I missed most in uni.
2. I love airports/airplanes! As a child, I used to wish I could live in one ^^
3. Good books and movies… I love reading, but it’s so rare for me to find writing and plot that suits my taste. When I do, I devour the author’s entire works.
4. This is dorky… But I love learning ^^ Maybe it has to do with feeling smart? I love watching Jeopardy, especially if I get the answers right, but also to learn new facts.
5. I love puns… I quite literally cry with laughing over some of them.
Also, last post, but I saw your rant and I hope you’re feeling better :( I get the being introverted thing too. I’m pretty reserved and I like my alone time–there’s nothing wrong with it! I’m sorry you had to listen to all of it TT Please be happy!
Thank you for this! Ahh… Tumblr is my place to rant, but I tend to get over my anger quickly.
#I'm really sorry T_T#I hope you don't think I forgot about you or was ignoring you#I hate replying on my phone and then I would fall asleep as my laptop started up and then I haven't been online in the past week#Inspirit Buddy#Anonymous#Reply
