good evening gays and girlies and gremlins of all kinds how are we doing???? i've been talking to a new guy for a few weeks and i just told him that i'm chronically ill, which is like, usually A Whole Thing and sometimes makes people run because dating a Chronically Ill Bitch can be complicated and not everyone is up for that. ANYWAY he hasn't responded yet and i'm trying not to be nervous about it because we DO NOT sit around waiting for men to text us back in this house and if he can't deal with this then i got no reason to keep talking to him

but also he seems nice ya know. though i'm not sure if i just got ghosted in which case he is probably not that nice

ANYWAY you know who would NOT stand for skipping out on dating someone because of illnesses/disabilities?? our boi viktor, who isn't a coward. he would RIOT. because he knows that disabled/chronically ill people deserve the world and if someone doesn't agree it's THEIR loss. (he might not implement this knowledge on himself but hey)

i was going to write a whole fic about this but idk, we'll see. i might start baking instead. maybe i'll do both. we'll see where the anxious energy takes us.

you know. the whole "if he doesn't want all of you then he doesn't fucking deserve you" vibe, i can see it. viktor learning that someone didn't want the reader because of some health situation, and being FURIOUS about it, like how can they not see how perfect you are, are they blind???

Amber Kim's move to a men's prison for a consensual sexual encounter is a crime against humanity. It's a crime against humanity that our culture tries to render unmournable, but it is nonetheless a heinous crime, and a stain upon the legacy of all the officials who abet or tolerate it.

Even when cisgender women rape other cisgender women in prison, they are not transferred to men's prisons. One does not have to believe that consensual sex in prisons is acceptable to acknowledge that this transfer is a double standard. And yet this is the treatment transgender women can expect, apparently: a brutal double standard of violence, wherein our presence in any space is that of, at best, a conditional visitor. Yet when push comes to shove, we are more impoverished, more violated, and more mistreated by our patriarchal society.

The state of Washington must reverse it's decision. If it cannot be compelled to do so, then Kim's sentence must be commuted - even if we accept that prisons can perform justice, surely we all agree that justice is never forwarded by torture; that a day served of a sentence in the form of torturing a minority is not, in fact, a day closer to any kind of justice.

The use of either solitary confinement or sexual violence against a transgender woman as a means of control is so far beyond the pale that it must be opposed under all circumstances.

you quietly sit there, fingers tapping a restless rhythm on the polished mahogany tabletop, your wine glass stained red with tonight's indulgence, stands as empty as your stomach. just when you're about to wave a hand to your waiter, a massive brute of a man crashes into the chair across from you with so much force that you can hear the wood groan under his bulk.

he settles into it, unhurried, as if he wasn't 20 minutes late, his worn leather jacket creaking as he does before leaning forward and resting his forearms on the table, and the silver wear rattles with the impact.

then he looks at you with an unsettling intensity, irises so dark they blend into the pupils and asks if you've been waiting long.
