          4t3 Conversion of ICFB's Summer of '59 Set

A 4t3 conversion of a Barbie inspired set for all your sims, made originally by IceCreamForBreakfast, now to ts3!

As a preparation for the (surely iconic) Barbie movie releasing on the next couple of weeks, I decided to convert this super cute set which I downloaded as soon as I saw on my dashboard! Hope you like it! Enjoy! <3

Known Problems:

There are two seams on the bikini top that I have no idea how to fix. They don't show up on Blender, Milkshape, TSRW, and not even CAS. just in-game, which is so annoying. I hope they don't bother you!

If you find any more problems, please let me know!

NOTES (PLEASE READ):

This set is quite low poly, since with most clothes I baked the textures onto sims' bodies with thornowl's technique, and that's the lowest possible polycount for clothes. The accs are also low poly. The only meshed clothes are Ken's shirt and both rompers, which are also pretty low. The children's swimsuit's skirt is really low poly so I don't even consider it, and the hairs are also gameplay friendly, they're about 6K.

Some outfits (and the sunglasses) have some beachy and tropical vibes presets for you to choose from, including the romper's flamingo one and the children's swimsuit leafs one (main presets for both)! Of course, all of them have recolorable presets as well! I hope you like them!

The hat has three versions: one for adults, one for children and one for toddlers. They're all unissex and hat-slider compatible! I adapted the adults' version to the Brigitte hair, so it'll fit nicely without having to move the sliders!

The sunglasses have two versions: a regular one, that works just like usual glasses, and one that works like a hat, which means you can move with the hat slider. As seen on the preview, I already adapted it to the Barb hair, but you can use it on whatever hair you want with no problem!

As we know, Oda made the original seven warlords all animal themed. With Doflamingo -duh- being a flamingo 🦩💖. But in this post I wanted to add the additional reasons I find it funny that my favorite warlord is indeed, a bird. Because most birds are chaotic, evil trainwrecks if you didn’t know! Do not be fooled by their elegant propaganda of the American bald eagle, peacock, and such.

Far more bird species are of the hissing/unpredictable/possessive/oversexed/homicidal/drama queen variety.

And as part of my example, I will be introducing my pet cockatiel! He is a male, lutino color variant. I took him to the avian vet recently to get a quick nail trim (he treats my arm like a bloodied ski slope with his little feet razors otherwise).

The likeness is uncanny, right? Spiked up blond hairdo and all. 🤣

But here is my rambling list below of why Doflamingo fits the bird theming beyond just his aesthetics. Note, all species are different. These are just generalities.

1. Birds are needy, attention whores. Realistically, this comes from wanting the attention and safety of their flock. And my bird gets plenty of out of cage time with us. But oh my god, sometimes if he hears me so much as sneeze and he can’t see me…WHY AM I IN THE HOUSE, BUT NOT WITH HIM!? WHY!? RED ALERT. He starts flock calling for me, and I must respond with at least a whistle or he will begin screaming. Because surely, someone must be murdering me if I don’t come to him immediately.

2. They are complete horndogs. Seriously, everyone thinks humping inappropriate things is a male dog exclusive problem. Nope. There are professional bird behaviorists that people literally pay to come teach them how to calm their pet birds’ sexual aggression and the nightmare that can become. You have to be mindful of how you interact with them, lest they start thinking YOU are their mate and begin attacking anyone else in the house who is not you. Because they are jealous. So jealous. I only pet/preen my bird on his head. As that is perfectly platonic flock behavior. But touching anywhere else (back or chest for example) can make them think it’s sexy time. Male birds will hump the utter hell out of “favorite” objects. Birds kept with others must be monitored that no one is getting ganged up on. But it happens in the wild too. Female ducks need pepper spray or self defense classes. I’ll just leave it at that.

3. They are murderous/violent, and easily overstimulated. So my bird weighs around 80 grams give or take. As an adult human, he’s not going to take me down anytime soon. But if he wanted to, he likely could bite me hard enough to go to the bone. He never has truly bitten me, but I watch his body language. He runs up wanting to be petted. Or sits on me long enough that he falls asleep. He likes to be together, but always on his terms. If I touched him too much, or when he didn’t want it, he’d definitely bite me. People have lost eyes to larger birds. People have had to have reconstructive surgery from parrot bites. They can crush whole nuts in their beak. So what do you think they’ll do to your face when they are sitting on your shoulder and suddenly get triggered (which they very easily are)? Humans have been drowned by swans. And forget it when it comes to something like the Cassowary. You’re already dead if they really wanted you to be.

4. They are opportunistic. Oh look, more murder! People think only birds of prey are the true meat eaters. But a pelican would eat you if it thought it could swallow you. Even the smallest birds have been observed killing other birds and small mammals if they can. Food is food. They are not cute to their victims. They are survivalists. No mercy. Ever. Some baby birds actually eat their own nestmates if one sibling is stronger than the others (sorry Rosi, there really was a precedent for that 😰).

5. They are territorial. And still more murder! In my own yard we have birdhouses made for Eastern bluebirds. They’re a species that legit benefits from human intervention as bluebirds will only nest in cavities, which they have less of now because of deforestation and competition with non native species taking said cavities. Non native species (for the US anyway) of the European house sparrow in particular. House sparrows are tiny. Smaller than a bluebird. But they will slaughter a bluebird family. All over territory during breeding season. They enter the bluebird nest and will peck even the adult bluebirds to death if they can catch them on the nest. They killed a male bluebird of ours this way. Now we put up “sparrow spookers” on our active bluebird nests once eggs are in the box. It’s just mylar streamers that blow in the wind, and the sparrows are afraid to fly through it. But every breeding season we have to go through this again. Basically Riku dynasty versus Donquixote dynasty in our backyard with the invading house sparrows.

And I could go on and on really, about greed, mood swings, vanity, etc. But you get the idea now. Murder, sex, and bright plumage. Heavy emphasis on the murder especially. He really is a bird in every sense of the word. 😅

Edit: Oh! And I forgot grudges! Some birds will hold a grudge for ages. Just ask a crow. I thought my bird would be over my betrayal of the vet visit by today. Nah. He’s still pissed. He won’t come to me right now. He fakes me out to offer my hand to him, then says, nah, bitch! And opens his mouth like he rather bite. It’ll be a few days I guess. 🤣 Never betray a Donquixote!

"Illegal?.." F*ck. Bojan shouldn't have asked. Too personal. And he's known the guy for like what, 2 hours 3 minutes?

...and it all went to sh*t at work all of a sudden. Sh*tty week morphing into an even sh*ttier weekend. And Bojan was not a fan of drinking alone. Yet here he was. Snow covered back alleys reflected bright city lights. 💖The Pink Flamingo💖 Bar & Grill.

Bojan grabbed the delicate wrist pulling the smaller guy even closer. "What's your name?!" Too loud. The flashing strobes blinded him for a second. "Käärijä." Giggle. Too crowded. More shots.

Bojan breathed in, teeth grazing at the exposed nape. Slight scent of piña colada hitting his nostrils.

Motel "Ruoska" was the closest. Bit dingy, but who cared at this point?

hi sonny! it's becoming colder and one of my favourite winter tropes is getting snowed in a cabin in the middle of nowhere and i really wanted to spew my thoughts. i imagine maybe reader got lost or she's just a bad driver, but she suddenly finds herself in the middle of nowhere and the only establishment in sight is a cabin. she knocks on the door and it opens up to gruff and buff lumberjack daddy ari levinson who begrudgingly lets her lodge with him so she doesn't freeze to death. maybe she's a city girl who isn't used to being without phone service or the constant bustling of the streets so she's a constant annoyance to ari who secretly enjoys it. ari doesn't celebrate the holidays but the reader insists on doing something for him so on a "totally normal 25th of december", she attempts to bake him pie and make a present for him, maybe smut as a treat. followed by a sweet new years eve where ari isn't alone for the first time in a few years because a sweet little lady decided to turn up out of nowhere and turn his peaceful life upsidedown. and oops this ended up a bit longer than expected but i'm just a sucker for lumberjack ari. 🥮💖

“That's horrible." You pout, staring down at your wet socks. "My clothes are all wet too... Ugh, I should've never thought I could make the drive! I run over curbs all the time! My daddy's gonna kill me." You mourn your car currently stuck in a snow bank without any fuel. It wasn't your fault, you couldn't see a thing because of the blizzard. "Don't let him kill me, Mr. Lumberjack man."

"I don't know you well enough to sacrifice myself." He masks his smile with a cough and gestures down the hall, "I'll find you something warm to wear. Stay there."

maybe a day later, the day you're about to leave: Ari wakes up to a full breakfast. The couch wasn't terrible, but his feet were hanging off the whole time and every time he turned, he feared he'd fall to the floor. But, Ari would rather be uncomfortable with cold feet before he let the pretty city girl sleep on the couch.

"G'morning!" You grin from the kitchen, carefully handling a tray of biscuits. "I hope you've got a big appetite! I made all my favourite recipes because I wanted to thank you."

Even in his bleary vision, you're glowing, grinning so brightly and clad in his thickest knit sweater and a pair of sweatpants. He could get used to this.

You turn and open the blinds, your face immediately falling. "What the fuck."

Ari quickly stands up, spotting the snow piling outside the kitchen window. "Awh, shit. We're snowed in." He strides to the door and peers through the curtains, further confirming his observation. The snow was feet high and impossible to tread through.

"I just saw it earlier and it was fine!"

"The weather is pretty unpredictable here. Don't worry if the power goes out, I've got generators, a water tank, and my basement is fully stocked too. All we gotta do is wait it out."

Your eyes fall on his body, trailing down his thick, hairy chest to his tummy. You follow the dark trail to his lower stomach before it disappears under his pyjama pants—offering a generous peek of his bushy pubic hair. Only then do you notice the bulge between his thighs.

Ari smirks, chuckling to himself and doing a slow turn, allowing you to gaze upon his whole body. So he was cocky, sue him! It's been a while since he's been this close (and half-naked) to someone else, and he'd be lying if he said those naughty thoughts hadn't crossed his mind. Looking over his shoulder, he catches your wide stare, "Keep the food warm while I wash up, yeah?"

CUE THE MONTAGE !! YOU COULD BE SO ANNOYING TO HIM, ASKING ABOUT ALL OF HIS HOMEMADE FURNITURE, THE PHOTOGRAPHS AND ART THAT COVER THE WALLS ("One of my friends took the pictures and another drew all the other shit.") OH, but then you find out he was lying about a few of the pieces bc they had different signatures, and what do you know !! Lumberjack daddy Ari is an artist himself (what else to do in the middle of nowhere). so much baking and cooking too. You share recipes. Ari reads you his favourite book as you sit by the fireplace, and you eventually end up with your head in his lap and his warm hand in yours 🥺🥺

when the snow melts and you're able to go outside, you don't even want to leave anymore 🥺 is there truly more to life than sweet isolation in a cabin with a hunk from your dreams ?? or have you found your forever place 🥺

The velveteen underbelly of the sky blazed bright with stars that night, millions upon millions of luminous shapes peppering the cosmic swirls and spirals that threaded its celestial canvas, weaving into its almost ethereal tapestry. Seldom was the sky ever this pure and beautiful (even with the Mako that breathed smog into its veins), and it was for that reason alone wherein Zack decided to persuade his best buddy to join him on the rooftop of ShinRa HQ.

“And if you squint reeeaaaal hard… you can make a seahorse!” Zack’s spirited chirp lit up the night almost as much as the stars themselves, lying flat on his back against cool concrete, one gloved fingers tracing bestial figures in the dazzling ornaments above. “You see it?”

Even squinting, Sephiroth did not see it.

“…No,” he admitted with a playful scoff, emerald eyes drifting aside to gaze curiously at his companion. “Just as I didn’t see the table, sock, otter, seashell, or flamingo.”

“Well, I don’t know how you didn’t see the flamingo,” rang Zack’s equally-playful laughter. “Like… c’mon. It’s those two stars connected to those to stars—y’know, the legs—and then it’s thaaatt star that makes the neck…”

All Sephiroth could do was shake his head, starlit strands dancing in the night.

“You’re delirious.”

“Am not!”

“I don’t see anything.”

“You’re not lookin’!”

“Of course I am.”

“Look at the right stars, bud!”

"Heh. And what is that supposed to mean? I'm looking at the same exact stars as you, Zack. The same exact..."

Funny, how the man's sentence seemed to drift off on its own accord, transforming and evolving in that small swath of breath until the thought that left his lips in the end was a new thought entirely.

"...Heh," left a small, wistful sound. "I wonder."

"What is it, pal?" Zack turned his head to face him, sapphire eyes blinking inquisitively.

Sephiroth closed his eyes before responding.

"Our lenses..." he said after a few moments, the lithe black shape shifting slightly against the rooftop. "They're so incredibly different. Almost polarizing. We live on this same planet, look at the same exact objects... and yet see entirely contradictory things."

Zack cocked his head, smiling curiously. "Yeah?"

"Mmn. Yes. Take a half-filled glass, to be cliché... I will look at the vessel and see that it is empty. Perhaps that it needs to be filled, that it is lacking in its full potential." Sephiroth turned his head to face the teen. "You, on the other hand..."

"Will see it half-full!" Zack completed brightly.

"Heh…” Sephiroth’s expression softened with a faint smile, clearly not needing to explain any further. “Yes. Exactly.”

Zack mirrored his grin. “True polar opposites, huh? You and me?”

“Mmph. I suppose so.”

“And yet the bestest of best friends?”

Amused, Sephiroth’s smile curled into a smirk. “I never said that.”

“Aww, c’mon. I’m your best bud!” Zack scooted a couple inches to be closer to his friend, curling cozily against the warrior’s side. “Right…?”

Sephiroth pretended to think for a moment.

“Seppppph.”

“Yes, yes. Of course you are,” Sephiroth rested his head against the feathery black spikes, pillowing his cheek against his own soothing stretch of space, silver bangs threading through the cosmic spikes like argent moonlight. “You are my ‘best bud.’”
