Note
1, 5, 6, 10, 13 (Rainy), 22 (Past the Stargazing Season - Mili)
1. Song that’s currently stuck in your head
Find Your Flame from Sonic Frontiers, particularly the line
‘Now here we go, it's the end of the show/ Hear them, they’re calling your name/ Cause in the end/ It’s you and your friends/ You’ll find your flame’
I’m not really a big fan of hard rock with yelly/screamy bits in it, but man, I love the chorus, bridge, and lyrics of this one enough that I can listen to it!
(Also, secondarily, bc I’ve been writing this on and off for a while now, Luisa’s Bones by Crooked Fingers has now wormed its way back into my head.)
5. Songs to calm you down
Soooo much ambient stuff, and a LOT of game music! I’ll try and mix in some variety here.
Fukurou — Kokia
Quiet Water — Toby Fox (Undertale)
Late Night — Pokemon Legends: Arceus
The Valley — Lucas Paakh (William & Sly)
Best of Antent — Antent (playlist arranged(?) by BLUME) look I just pop that on when I need to sleep, it’s great, super relaxing.
6. Songs that pump you up
Gr8 Story — covered by Takanori Oyama and Toshiyuki Toyonaga (this is a character cover by the voice actors of two of my favorite characters of one of the endings of one of my favorite animes. It never fails to make me smile. It HAS to be this version, the original is just not nearly as good.)
Fortune Days — The Glitch Mob (you’d be surprised how cool this makes you feel just walking somewhere)
Guitarmass — Infected Mushroom
フェイク (Fake) — Eve
Let’s Face It I’m Cute — 11 Acorn Street
街 (City) — Vivid Bad Squad (Project Sekai)
10. What’s a song you love that might surprise some people?
This is actually really hard, I’m not sure? Uhhh, how about You’re Crashing, But You’re No Wave by Fall Out Boy? I don’t really listen to a lot of music most people consider popular, but this one was on someone’s character playlist (which are ALSO something I don’t usually check out, but I’m sure you can guess who it was for), and honestly, it’s just such a jam anyway? I love the lyrics.
13. Give me a mood and I’ll pick a song that fits it (Rainy)
Dance of the Spirituals — Jonny Southard
This one is just one of the nicest piano pieces I’ve ever heard, and pairs beautifully with rain and a good book.
Hatachi no Koi — Lamp
Lamp in general is just full of songs that could put you right to sleep in the rain- and they’re cute, too. I think you’ll like this one :)
22. Based on my blog, give me a song you think I should listen to, I’ll share my thoughts. (Past the Stargazing Season - Mili)
… wow. Okay, so I was gonna start off with “oh man, this voice- the first time I heard it was in the rhythm game Deemo, I loved the song pack with this voice,” and then the song went on and I was reading the lyrics and I have a feeling I think I know why you sent me this song and thinking about that possible situation with this playing and all that, uhhh, I cried? That was amazing. Sheesh, man. Wow. I had an entire experience in the span of 4 minutes. Thank you.
I loved answering these. Thank you for asking them. Criminy. I’m gonna go lay down.

"Small Price To Pay For Your Freedom!"
Tuesday 15th December 2020
Hello again folks! So even more news has been revealed on what we can expect in the episodes taking place around New Year. Mick has been battling with the knowledge that he was sexually abused in his childhood years by his so-called childhood friend, Katy. Since Katy's arrival on the Square, Mick has behaviour towards his family and friends has been ruined, he's pushed everyone he loves away. Mainly I think because he can't bring him himself to accept the facts, and if he can't accept it - how can he possibly tell his family? He doesn't seem to think they'd understand, so instead of talking he's pushed everyone away, his Mum, his sister and now his wife. Devastatingly things are only going to get worse for Mick as the New Year comes, he contemplates taking his own life as his mental health and emotional feelings get worse and he feels there's no one he can turn to. I feel that this New Year is going to be an upsetting one for the Carter family.
Wow! So there's quite a bit to cover from this episode, the main two things I'll leave till the end. I'll start this blog by talking about Denise and Kim. Of course having her son with her for his first Christmas on Walford would mean a lot to Denise, however she seems to be wary of what his traditions with his adoptive family was like. She comes up with the decision to make this year a traditional Christmas for Raymond, which could might mean that they'd have to go to church. Now as the episode continued, Denise is seen chatting with the pastor from Raymond's church and he voices that he's expecting to see Raymond on Christmas Day. Only Denise isn't too sure as herself and her family are not religious, but maybe to give Raymond some familiarity, she may consider going to the church. However, something is telling me that she may come to regret her decision. We know her ex-husband, Lucas, is returning to the Square on Christmas Day, what if he just so happens to appear at the church that she takes Raymond to?!
From the recent Christmas trailer that has dropped, we see Denise look in absolute fear as she comes face-to-face with Lucas, however he doesn't seem as happy to see her, as I'm sure we see him clench his fist! What brings him back to Walford?! Could he end up ruining Denise and Raymond's Christmas?! Although, before she can start her plans for a traditional Christmas, she needs to bring her family round to the idea. At first, Kim announces that she's not a church person (maybe it'll take something more to bring Kim around to the idea)? but Patrick! Ahhhhh Patrick! How good is it to see him back on the Square?! For those of you who weren't aware, during the lockdown, Patrick had caught Covid-19 and was in intensive care, he has not been seen since the soap come back on air. This is the first time we've seen him in months! Clearly both Denise and Kim are thrilled to see him looking so healthy. Before their family reunion, Kim does as she was asks and attends the Prince Albert, for what she thinks, is her first day on the job. However, there appears to be another young girl waiting for Kathy also, named Mila. It looks as if Kim has got the wrong end of the stick and comes to realise that she'll have to fight for her position at the Prince Albert. They find that Kathy has left them a list of cocktails to make, they both appear to be making the cocktails with ease, only when they both reach for the vodka bottle, Kim yanks it from her and sends the bottle flying across the room and smashing all over the floor, just as Kathy walks in. I love how Kim is playing the sympathy card in an attempt to win Kathy over. Mila however tells the truth and admits fighting with Kim for the bottle and how she got a little competitive, interestingly, Kathy decides to give Mila the job, leaving Kim in absolute shock! I don't know whether anyone else was questioning who Mila is, or was it just me?! Could she have simply been an extra? Or will she have some unknown connection to the Fox family? Will she have anything to do with Lucas's return? Who knows, I am simply guessing and I certainly could be wrong - but it's nice to guess, right?!
Another minor thing which happened in the episode involved Tina, Gray and Shirley. Earlier in the episode, we can see Gray's frustration at the mess Tina continues to leave around his house. He informs Shirley that he's wanting his children back and if Tina can't keep things tidy then it's going to cause problems for the household, maybe Gray won't get his children back?! Shirley pleads to him to give her another chance as everything is up in the air at the moment, everyone seems to be walking on eggshells around Mick and after Tina being arrested for being a suspect in the case against Ian, it's clear that Tina's head is all over the place, she tries to fight her sister's corner, even stating that if Tina leaves, then so will she, and it's clear that Gray wouldn't want Shirley to leave as she's been the support he's needed in recent weeks. He softly agrees to let Tina stay, however later on in the episode, Tina questions her sister as to why Gray is so on edge when it comes to the mess. Tina can see that her sister is hiding something and she questions whether Gray has anything on his sister which is making her stay. But Shirley reassures her sister and warns her that if she tells her the truth, it goes no further! It's then she takes the brave decision in informing Tina about the night she found Gray threatening to blaze the house with him and the children inside. Tina can't believe what she's hearing, she fears that she could be living with a potential killer (She's not wrong there - Oooh if only she knew!) Oh!!! That could be the big question now couldn't it?! - We know that Luisa Bradshaw-White will be leaving her role as Tina, what if she comes to realise that Gray is incredibly dangerous? What if she confronts him about what Shirley told her and she becomes the target of his anger? Could Tina be Gray's second victim?!
Now focusing on one of the main aspects of the episode, involving Rainie and Stuart. Earlier on in the episode, Stuart approaches his wife with the news that he's made an appointment for them to go a surrogacy clinic, however Rainie seems pretty unsettling when he delivers the news. She questions what they'd have to do during their appointment, only when he mentions they'd have to take a blood test, Rainie freaks out and lashes out at her husband, claiming that it was a stupid idea and stating that neither of them are destined to be parents, this leaves Stuart looking really confused - together, they want a child more than anything. So why would she lash out in this way? Honestly, it becomes very obvious to the viewer before anyone has to mention anything - the only reason why Rainie would lash out after having being told she'd need a blood test, is because she's been taking drugs and she'd fear that what they'd find in her blood would ruin their chance of becoming parents. Eventually she does come clean to husband - it's then we see the flashback of her night, during the time Ian was attack - after being insulted by Ian, Rainie was clearly feeling devastated - especially after Tiffany and Keegan changing their minds on being their surrogates earlier in the day - Ian just topped everything off for he, didn't he? She went down an alleyway and scored some drugs. Which explains her disappearing for a number of days, maybe she feared what people would say if they found out?! The moment she reveals everything to her husband is so touching, she feels as if she's become a failure again - but no matter her flaws, Stuart informs her that he still loves her, regardless of her knockback. But suddenly, with Rainie giving her version of events of her night, she questions what her husband was doing on the night Ian was attack. Now this, I didn't see coming! Stuart had gotten himself worked up for losing their surrogate, plus having to cope with the fact that his brother is struggling. We then see a flashback of Stuart's night - he was in fact stood in an alleyway, waiting to confront DI Thompson! Initially he only wanted to scare him, trying to defend his younger brother - but things got a little out of hand as Stuart punched Thompson and he ended up knocking him to the floor. It's then we come to realise that Stuart had (accidentally) killed DI Thompson, however when Rainie questions where the man is now, Stuart confesses that he's in the fridges in their undertakers. Honestly, I'm glad DI Thompson is now out of the way but I do worry if the police start searching for their colleague? His disappearance is going to be talk amongst the police, and with Callum being at the forefront of his threats, what will it mean for Callum? Does this mean that the police will stop looking for Phil and Ben? Or something much more darker?! Who knows, either way I think that revelation is the most mind-blowing of all!!
Finally, coming to Ben, Ian and Suki! At the very beginning of the episode, Ben confronts his brother after being released from the police. Ian is visibly shaken to his brother out on the Square, after he reported him to the police. Ben toys with his brother, teasing him, making him quiver in a sense by informing him that even though the police tried their best to find evidence, the only thing they found were a few of Ben's prints from a tyre iron, but to Ian's surprise, the prints didn't match to Ian's scene of attack. It's then that Ben informs his brother that after everything he's done to his family - stealing from their Mum, grassing up his own brother, Ian is now dead to Ben! The only thing I've noticed through out this scene is that Suki has been stood behind Ian, listening to their conversation the whole time. Is that just a ploy maybe?! Trying to get more information possibly to stop the attention being drawn to herself? As Ben walks away, Suki points out to Ian a letter which is hanging beside the Vic addressed to him. As Ian opens it, all that's inside is a small simple bullet. Is this some kind of warning? Will his attacker come back to finish the job? Funnily enough, Ben and Suki come into contact again at the very end of the episode, she just happens to mention to Ben that her shop has had graffiti sprayed all across it in recent weeks and she's been trying to find the culprit, Ben is polite as they share this brief conversation, but suddenly Suki takes the story on another direction, by informing that her shop has CCTV, but even though she hasn't found the culprit who keeps spray painting her shop, what she has found is footage of Ben leaving the Queen Vic on the night Ian was attacked. Ben instantly realises that he needs to find a way to keep her quiet, instantly he simply just asks her out straight how much it would cost for her to keep quiet and not show the CCTV to the police. She demands £10,000 for her silence!!!
Now what will Ben do? Will he give her the money? Do we actually think he's the guilty one who attacked Ian? I, personally, am not so sure. I'd like to say it wasn't him. I feel the ones we can rule out now are Bobby, Tina, Rainie and Stuart. I still think there could be a chance it was Max, Peter, Sharon or Kheerat. I'd like to think it's not Ben, I hope it's not him! What do you guys think? Do you have a theory of who Ian's attacker could be?! Please feel free to leave me and thoughts, comments or theories you may have, I'd love to hear them! Thank you all again for reading, I really do appreciate it! Love you all xXx

Fic Writer meme!
Tagged By: @fictionpenned
Primarily focusing on fic-related fandoms - so fics I have or currently feel comfortable potentially writing fic for. ^^
...also focusing on my AO3 account and not my ff.net account because, although it has some other stuff (like the Matilda fic), it's not...being intentionally included.
Fandoms: Jane the Virgin, Deputy, Timeless, Frozen (it's been a while), OUAT (also been a while, other than Regina in LatF), Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Hannibal, Inside Out, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Harry Potter, The Tick, ODAAT, X-Files; Agent Carter (someday I might post Dottie stuff. SOMEDAY), Haunting of Hill House (primarily Theo, who was also in LatF), Proven Innocent (I've been debating a PI/Deputy crossover since before Deputy started), Off The Map (by which I mean I want to steal Ryan and use her in the massive ODAAT/JTV verse), Fairyland (debating writing Mallow fic but the fandom's tiny), uh.... There's a lot. ><
Number of Fics: 75.
Fic I Spent The Most Time On: Uh. Probably Luisa and the Fox unless you're counting series, in which case it's the soulmate timer au. (It'll probably be the HP au once it gets posted.)
Fic I Spent The Least Time On: Probably the individual chapters of either the pick up lines or kiss/fall prompts fics. Some of those I literally write a few hours before posting. But don't ask me which chapters had less time than others because for the most part I probably won't remember.
Longest Fic: A Christmas at Longbourne (but it'll probably be the HP au when it gets posted, unless finishing If You Lived Here, You'd Be Home Now is longer than those individual fics) - 73,689 words.
Shortest Fic: The Diary of Cornelia Mills (which is horrible and unfinished and please no one go read that it's bad) - 203 words.
Most Hits: Lost Causes - 1836.
Most Kudos: Lost Causes - 149.
Most Comment Threads: Kiss/Fall Prompts - 28.
Most Bookmarks: Back to Lost Causes - 29.
Total Word Count: 502,299 (and that's only posted stuff. It's...not including anything of Epic Superhero Crossover or the HP au or a good chunk of soulmate timer au).
Favorite Fic I Wrote: Luisa and the Fox. Hands down. (HP au might get close, but it's not posted yet.)
Fic You Want to Rewrite/Expand On: ...uh. There's a lot in terms of expansion, so if I just stick to rewriting...probably Geronimo - restart it, anyway, because I started it before canon addressed some things that, ah, make that no longer canon compliant. ><
Share a Bit of a WIP or Story Idea You're Planning On:
...it's been long enough, time y'all get an excerpt from HP au. Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to read more on mobile, so I'll put it at the end after I tag some peeps.
ALSO IT IS A ROUGH DRAFT I HAVEN'T EVEN SECOND WRITTEN IT YET SO IT'S ROUGH.
Tagging: @only-freakin-sunflowers, @butimnotasexyrussian, @pulitzerpanther (BECAUSE YOU'RE FINALLY WRITING AND UPDATING AGAIN)

Clara returned to the Slytherin dormitory under the cover of the fabric, still excited by how it seemed to make her completely invisible. She saw Draco returning and followed him through the entrance, almost running into him when she noticed that he had stopped just inside the door. Since she wasn’t much taller than him, she had to walk around him to see what he was seeing.
“What are you doing up?” Draco whined, even though he sounded like he was trying to be more macho.
Across from Draco was none other than Janet, standing just in front of one of the huge, leather chairs, her arms crossed across her chest. “I could ask you the same thing.” She stepped forward, her thick black boots making a clunking sound on the cobblestone floor. It was something she must have chosen last minute; she was wearing her long, grey nightgown – the one that didn’t fit quite right, with sleeves too long for her arms that she’d pushed back to show hands that seemed tiny in comparison to the huge gown itself – instead of her normal black school clothes or her robes. “It’s past curfew. How many points did you cost us?”
“I didn’t cost us anything.” Draco started forward, pushing past Janet, his hands clenched into fists.
But Janet touched his shoulder with one hand, and he froze. She didn’t smile; she didn’t even have to look at him. Her wand flicked once as she said something under her breath.
All of a sudden, Draco was on his back on the floor in front of her, a bright red mark marring his now bare left shoulder. There was a new rip across and through his black robes, and it ripped further as he bent up on his elbows and scooted away from her. His grey eyes widened. He flinched as Janet took another step forward. “I got detention!” he said under her withering stare.
“How many points, egghead?” Janet twisted her wand, and the red mark spread beneath his robes.
Draco squirmed. “Fifty!” He gritted his teeth together, probably trying not to scream. “Fifty points, I cost us fifty points, let me go!”
Janet flicked her wand again and lowered it to her side. All at once, Draco jumped up and sped away to the boys’ rooms, holding his hand against his shoulder. She didn’t watch him go, instead letting out a deep breath and collapsing back into the chair behind her. Her other hand reached out as though to touch something next to her, but when there was nothing, she looked back up, her dark eyes wild. “Cat?”
It was then that Clara felt something butt against her right leg, and she jumped. There was a soft meow below her. She looked down to see Cat the cat staring up at her with his one, great golden green eye. He leaned back on his back legs and tapped his one front paw on her leg. He didn’t meow at her again.
Clara looked up to see Janet staring at what must, to her, look like empty space in front of him. She bent down, lifted the fabric from her head (it had a hood like a cloak), and reached her hand out from behind the fabric to scratch just between his ears. “Hey, Cat,” she said, but she was afraid. If that was how Janet treated Draco, how was she going to react to her? Good thing Cat was between them. Janet wouldn’t hurt Cat.
But immediately, Janet was there, wrapping her hands around where Clara guessed she thought the rest of her body was and leaning forward against her. As soon as she found Clara’s shoulders, though, she shoved her backwards and glared at her. “Where were you?” She might have been speaking quietly, but there was a fierce intensity to her voice that, along with the memory of what had just happened to Draco, scared Clara.
“I didn’t lose us any points, and I didn’t get detention,” Clara said quickly, taking a deep breath, her eyes searching Janet’s. “So you don’t have to hex me. I didn’t—”

Pieces of April [7/?]
AO3 Link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/21099044/chapters/50202530
Summary: On the anniversary of his death, Jason’s second life takes an abrupt new turn and he’s faced with a challenge that neither Batman nor the All-Caste prepared him for.
Rating: PG-13 (rating may change later)
Warning(s): Past Jason/Isabel, kidfic, minor canon character death (pretty sure you can guess who, not either of our boys!), I’ll add more warnings/tags as I think of them.
Canon-Compliance: Takes place in between the two RHATO series, so after Roy and Kori and before Artemis and Bizarro.
Author’s Note: In which Jason is this close to being DONE. And Tim’s a little shit.
First Chapter
________________________________________________________________
Jason is silent a while, obviously conflicted.
Tim and Safiya watch him get up and stand by the window of the room; his fingers twitch, then curl into fists of what Tim imagines to be frustration.
Safiya doesn’t miss the motion, and her expression grows concerned. She takes a longer look at Jason, studying him in greater depth, from the visible callouses on his knuckles to the scars at the corner of his mouth and beneath his hairline.
“You’re not…” she begins, and Jason turns to acknowledge her. “You’re not actually a mobster, are you?”
To Tim’s surprise, Jason’s mouth twitches.
“Not this year,” he says with a hint of humor.
Safiya is clearly confused, and Tim fights down a mental groan at Jason’s usually flippant attitude choosing to manifest in the most inopportune moments.
Good thing we’re all such good liars.
“Jason’s a former stuntman,” he tells her, once again grasping for the first plausible thing that comes to mind. He makes a mental note to add that to whatever false background they’ll inevitably have to create. “But he’s been working with our family for years.”
Jason smiles now, but it’s an unpleasant and edged thing. “That’s one way to put it.”
Tim ignores him, instead slips into his charming-CEO persona.
“As you can imagine, we deal with a lot of threats given the Wayne Foundation’s public funding of Batman Inc. Sometimes we require body-doubles when traveling, and Jason happens to be of similar height and weight to Bruce.”
“Right,” Jason says robotically. “Bodyguard to Bruce Wayne. It’s an experience. Guy has as many enemies as Batman does. It’s uncanny.”
Tim shoots him a dirty look, which luckily Safiya misses as she sizes Jason up again. When she turns back to Tim, she furrows her brow. “Is that not weird for you?”
“Weird?”
“With you two being together,” she clarifies. “And with him looking so much like your father.”
Jason makes a huffing noise; Tim sort of hopes he’s choking.
At some point, I’m going to have to look into why people so easily buy the story of us being ‘together’.
“Bruce isn’t my father,” Tim says with a bit of a grimace. “Neither biologically, nor legally as of last year.”
“I see,” Safiya says slowly, not looking like she entirely buys it. “Didn’t I read an article about you being engaged? To a woman?”
Tim sighs. “Vicki Vale has a lot to answer for. As I’ve said numerous times, Tam Fox is my assistant and my friend. We were never engaged—is there a reason we’re analyzing my personal life right now?”
“Why not? We’ve been analyzin' mine all night,” Jason says. “I think I like it better when it’s you, babybird.” The nickname is said with an inflection that could be teasing or mocking depending on the context. “Besides, you’ve got all that practice.”
Well, if you want to play that game.
“A good thing, too, or I’d be the one with a surprise baby,” Tim replies and is partially gratified to see Jason’s brows draw together at the dig. His smile widens and he addresses Safiya, “Clearly we’ve all found ourselves in a situation we couldn’t have possibly foreseen, so the best thing we can do is put our heads together and come up with a solution. But I think we’ve had enough to process this evening and rushing such an important decision would be unwise.”
“That might be the first sensible thing I’ve heard since I got here,” she agrees. “First of all, I want to make sure Luísa has somewhere to stay until that is sorted out. Will you be taking her home tonight?”
“No,” Jason says.
“The hospital still has to get the results of the paternity test before any custody or guardianship decisions can be discussed,” Tim elaborates. “That should be a day or two. I think the most pressing concern right now is what to do about Isabel.”
Safiya becomes somber once again. “Yes. She should not be left here longer than needed. I have a key to her apartment. I can look around and see if she had any kind of arrangements or wishes. If she did, she never mentioned them, but it’s possible.”
“That would be helpful,” Tim agrees. “Let me know if you find anything.” He digs into his pocket for a business card and a pen, scribbling his personal phone number on it. “You can reach me here. Whether you find anything helpful or not, call me. We’ll have to arrange transportation for her remains. The hospital will only hold her a week. And we’ll need to notify her doctor if she had one, and call the country coroner.”
“You’re a little bit too informed about how to do this for someone so young…”
“I lost both my parents before I was sixteen. It’s become an unfortunate routine.”
“I’m sorry,” she offers quietly.
“Thank you,” Tim acknowledges. “I understand that you might want to notify her other friends, ask them to contact others to get the word out, but would it be possible to keep this to yourself until we have a better idea of what to do for Luisa?”
“Of course. I’ll also call her work and let them know the news.”
“Also, if you could see to all the relevant paperwork for Isabel, that would be extremely helpful,” Tim continues. “As I said before, you probably have more of an idea of these things than we do.” Or at least more than we should. “As for outstanding balances, I’ll cover them—”
“No, I’ll do that,” Jason interrupts. “It should come from me.”
“It should,” Safiya agrees with a sharp nod. Probably she means it for different reasons; Tim suspects Jason just wants the least amount of Wayne money as possible involved in this. “I would also…if possible, I would like to say goodbye to her.”
“By all means,” Tim says. “If you want to do that now, I’ll let the doctor know—”
“I doubt I’ll have any trouble this time around,” she says, waving him away. “Besides, I think you have your hands full with these two.” She stands, then goes to lean over the baby once more, gently caressing her head. She says something Tim doesn’t understand, and then straightens up. She nods at Jason and Tim. “I will be in touch.”
And then she’s gone.
As soon as they’re alone, Tim rounds on Jason.
“Is there a reason you’re treating all of this as a joke?”
“Are we sure it’s not?” Jason asks with a grin that doesn’t dispel the coolness of his eyes. “I’m still waitin' for someone to jump out and yell ‘April Fools’.”
“You’re about a month late for that. And considering the fact you’re legally dead, you could be a little less cavalier with the attention-grabbing non-sequiturs.”
“What, like you? Treatin' this whole thing like it’s a business meeting? This is a person we’re talkin' about—two people.” His gaze flicks nervously to the infant. “And you’re actin' like they’re pieces on a board.”
“Because right now, they are,” Tim snaps. “And because someone has to be getting ahead of this thing. Surprise is no excuse to not have contingency plans.”
“Jesus Christ, but he did a number on you,” Jason groans. “You sound exactly like him.”
“Contrary to popular belief, that’s not always a bad thing. Or would you rather I be channeling Dick right now?”
Jason's entire body goes even tauter than it's been since Safiya burst in. "I swear to god if you hug me right now, I will punch you.”
Tim finds himself wondering if that might not be a good idea; a fight might be better for Jason than a shot of adrenaline.
Or it will land me in a different wing of this hospital. So maybe not.
He’s saved from replying when there’s a knock on the door, and the nurse comes in.
“Visiting hours will be over at nine o’clock,” she says. “If one of you wants to stay the night, I can arrange—”
“We’re not stayin',” Jason says immediately. Noticing her taken-aback expression, he adds, “There’s a bunch of stuff that needs doin'. For the, uh, baby.”
“Of course. Would you like to feed her one last time yourselves? Or we can take care of her in the nursery.”
Tim can see it on Jason’s face that he’s not keen on the exercise. Still, that same business-like set to his shoulders from earlier returns and he allows the nurse to go fetch a bottle of formula.
“Might as well know how to do this myself,” he mutters, almost defensive when he meets Tim’s gaze, and hesitantly picks up the infant on his own.
“I didn’t say anything.”
The entire tableau is so incongruous with what Tim knows of the other man that he’s half-tempted to bring his phone up and snap a few secret shots, if only as evidence. Somehow, he suspects Jason wouldn’t take kindly to it, and whatever goodwill he’s gained tonight will vanish faster than Batman after a meeting with Commissioner Gordon.
“We should go back to my place,” Tim suggests after a while. When Jason tilts his head in question, he adds, “To get the room ready. For when she’s cleared to go.”
“Right.”
“Do you want to pick up anything from where you’re staying? Or I can just order something for you online and have it shipped—”
“I can buy my own damn clothes if I need to,” Jason grouses. “I don’t need help packin’ a bag.”
“Fair. But I’m still driving you.” Jason makes a face. “Don’t give me that look. Are you seriously thinking you’re clear-headed enough to drive right now?”
“I’ve had worse. Besides, I can get a cab or take the subways.”
“You have no cash on you,” Tim reminds him. “And you’re still processing. I bet you’ll get stuck in your head and miss your stop.” He gestures out the window toward the parking lot. “Just tell me where you want to go and I’ll take you there.”
“The problem with that is you’ll know where I live.”
“It’s funny you think I don’t already.”
Jason scowls. “At some point, we’re having a conversation about you knowin' stuff about me that you shouldn’t. It’s creepy.”
“Sure. I’ll put it on the agenda under ‘stealing other people’s costumed identities’ and ‘using deadly force’. Should be fun.”
"You're kind of an asshole, aren't you?"
"I'm the asshole who's helping you out, so I'd watch your mouth." Tim pauses, considers, and then adds, "Actually, you should do that anyway. You're holding a baby."
"I hate you."

Emilia Fox on Hats, Horse Riding & the British Social Season This June sees Emilia Fox star as the lead ambassador for the Investec Epsom Derby, Britain’s prestigious flat racing event. The Silent Witness actress talks hats, horse riding & the British Social Season There is no mistaking Emilia Fox as she bundles in to the Milestone Hotel in Kensington. The Silent Witness actress is dressed in skinny black jeans and a pink faux-fur coat by Miranda Dunn, with ‘Fox’ emblazoned on the back (her daughter Rose has a matching one). She has a mobile phone glued to her ear and mouths an apologetic ‘sorry’ as we greet each other. Her blonde hair is tied back and she is burdened with several shopping bags. What are your favourite events on the British social calendar? I don’t have time for the social season. Since 2004 I’ve filmed Silent Witness for seven months of every year. Production runs from April to November, so all the lovely festivals take place when I’m learning scripts. A treat might be going to the theatre. I’ve just been to see my brother Freddie in Tom Stoppard’s Travesties at the Haymarket. I hope to see my father in his one-man show about Sir John Betjeman, too. It’s called Sand in the Sandwiches and goes on tour in May and June. [My daughter] Rose and I will have a holiday in August, but I’ve no idea where. Are you looking forward to your next lead role as an ambassador for the Investec Derby Festival at Epsom? I’ve never been to the Derby before, so it’s very exciting for me. Any excuse to get dressed up is an absolute treat when you’re a working mum. I also love horses – I rode as a child and Rose is now having lessons. She’s already much better than me. What are you planning to wear? Well, that’s the lovely thing about the Derby – everybody makes an effort. It’s quintessentially British and I’ve put a lot of thought into what I’ll wear. I’ve chosen a dress by my favourite designer, Luisa Beccaria. I’ve known her family for years and we are good friends. Luisa draws her inspiration from nature, which is perfect for a summery look. And the hat? I wear a lot of hats, but there’s nothing in my collection that would work for Epsom. The theme this year is ‘butterflies and flowers’, so I’m working on something with Rachel Trevor-Morgan. What are your beauty secrets? I do try to take care of my skin. I spend an hour a day in makeup for Silent Witness, so you learn a thing or two from some brilliant makeup artists. I also colour my hair – Errol Douglas in Knightsbridge has been looking after me for 20 years. When filming is done, how do you relax? My six-year-old daughter takes up the rest of my day. I’m lucky because the Silent Witness studio is only five minutes from where I live in west London. If I’m not in a scene and Rose is on school holidays, I can nip home to be with her. We live in a cottage-style house with a garden. That’s where I like to relax – it’s my oasis of calm. Being a single mum, there isn’t much time for anything else, although we do like to swim, or walk our two dachshunds, Dolly and Clive, in the park. From whom have you inherited the gardening gene? I grew up living in both London and Dorset, where my parents have a house close to the Jurassic Coast. My childhood was all about playing on the beach, making scrapbooks and learning about nature. The house down there is idyllic and unspoilt. Both my parents love to be in the garden. Mum is brilliant with pot plants and dad is an expert pruner. They have helped fill my garden with lavender, tulips and lots of roses. Your character was buried alive in a wooden coffin in Mexico and almost died in the last episode of Silent Witness. How difficult was that to film? We spent a week on that shoot and it was really tough. The film crew was always there, but because I had no other actors to interact with, I felt very lonely. You start to think about all sorts of things and the days dragged on. All I had for company was a scorpion. Silent Witness characters have been killed off in the past – will you survive season 21? We discussed this a lot after the Mexico drama. There will be some fall-out from what happened but I don’t get to see the scripts, so I have no idea what the future holds. http://www.luxurylondon.co.uk/article/emilia-fox-on-hats-horse-riding-the-british-social-season

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week.  It’s a great post to organise yourself. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment, and er… add to that ever growing TBR pile! So welcome in everyone. This meme started with J Kaye’s Blog   and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Dickheads of the Month: March 2018
As it seems that there are people who say or do things that are remarkably dickheaded yet somehow people try to make excuses for them or pretend it never happened, here is a collection of some of the dickheaded actions we saw in the month of March 2018 to make sure that they are never forgotten.
It takes a remarkable lack of awareness to liken somebody wearing a political symbol to the Star of David, the Nazi swastika or a t-shirt bearing the image of Robert Mugabe, yet that’s exactly what FA chief Martin Glenn managed to do - almost word-for-word, in fact.
Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson issued Russia the blood-curdling threat of “Shut up and go away” - which he somehow forgot to say when accepting £30,000 to have dinner with Lubov Chernukin, the Russian banker who happens to be a member of Vladimir Putin’s inner circle.
For whatever reason, NRA TV host  Collins Iyare Idehen Jr. (otherwise known as Colion Noir) broke from the channel’s remarkable similarities to ISIS recruitment ads to mock the Parkland teens by saying that nobody would know who they were if their friends hadn’t been shot - somehow missing how that’s the fucking point as there is no reason for anyone to know the names of any of these kids or their former classmates, but rather than consider the reason why (as that would involve taking responsibility) the only thing he can do is mock, and sneer, and underline just how much of the problem the NRA have become.
Twitter user...sorry, former Twitter user MomsLuvTrump20 hit the dickhead jackpot by doctoring an image of Parkland survivor Emma Gonzalez tearing up a shooting target from a shoot with Teen Vogue so instead it showed her tearing up the US Constitution (quite poorly, it has to be said) and shared it online, not only getting tens of thousands of shares and an undercurrent of seething ignorance that someone would dare tell America that they have a gun problem, but this also led to people sending Gonzalez death threats.  Yes, death threats, to someone who all too recently survived a gun massacre - which, contrary to what Adam Baldwin thinks, is not satire.
On the subject of Photoshopped images, Newsnight editor Jess Brammar really took offence at accusations that the programme she is responsible for was responsible for manipulating images of Jeremy Corbyn in order to make him fit the narrative that he was some sort of Russian stooge, and did so by...posting an image to her Twitter account that made it even more obvious that Newsnight had Photoshopped the image of Corbyn.
Somehow forgetting to uphold the obvious lie that they are in any way left wing, CNN columnist Jeremy Bailenson came up with a quite remarkable crock of shite in an article ripped from the late 1990s where he said gamers playing first person shooters are being trained to be the next generation of mass shooters citing evidence such as...some gibberish about holding a VR controller being exactly the same as holding an AK47.
To the surprise of nobody, certifiable headcase Munroe Bergdorf didn’t last long on the LGBT advisory panel they were appointed to (while a section of the media still wrongly claim that Bergdorf was appointed as LBGT advisor), yet when stepping down from their role Bergdorf’s response was to cite racism instead of the more common diplomatic response stating their appointment had brought undue pressure upon the panel - which merely added more fuel to the fire of the Tory commentators who kept making all manner of false equivalencies between Bergdorf being appointed to an unpaid role on an independent panel to Toby Young being appointed in an official capacity worth tens of thousands of pounds a year by his mat Jo Johnson back in January.
In yet another example of the right using the “Left = Nazis” rhetoric, we had Minnesota Republican Mary Franson making a direct comparison between the March for our Lives march and the Hitler Youth - and after her making a direct comparison between the two (unsurprisingly) led to her being called out for such idiocy, she attempted to defend herself by claiming she didn’t make a direct comparison between the two nor was her intent to...and when that predictably failed, then she decided to apologise which certainly has nothing to do with her being up for reelection.
Filibustering enthusiast Philip Davies took time out from his hectic schedule of campaigning against political correctness as he refuses to treat women, ethnic minorities, homosexuals or the disabled as being equal to him to conduct himself in the most professional manner when being interviewed by Luisa Omielan - by responding to reasonable questions by hurling out insults and accusations before shoving Omielan around his office.
In response to the imminent threat of a whistleblower revealing the Vote leave campaign broke rules on electoral funding, Stephen Parkinson knew there was only one thing he could do: threaten to publicly reveal the homosexuality of the whistleblower to keep him quiet, and when that obviously didn't work he outed him anyway - which was not only sanctioned by Theresa May, but she also supported Parkinson for his gross violation of privacy, use of blackmail, and endangering the safety of the whistleblower and his family.
Let’s see if I’ve got this straight: Tommy Robinson had a camera crew waiting for him outside a random branch of McDonalds, who just so happened to be in place to film a group of “far left extremists” as they “attacked” Robinson and, more importantly, were able to film him fight them off to show who the “real” “man” is - just as I am sure there is a perfectly legitimate reason for Robinson insisting that the police shouldn’t investigate the incident or, for all his talk of him and his crew being assaulted, the paramedics being unable to find so much as a bruise on them.  I can’t think what I could possibly be implying here...
On a similar subject, we have those people wailing about “free speech!!!” at the news of Paul Golding & Jayda Fransen being jailed and, a week later, Facebook shutting down Britain First’s page.  Obviously that was what happened, and nothing to do with the pair violating the terms of their exclusion orders for the former, or spending six years violating several of Facebook’s Terms of Service (without the provider batting an eyelid, it needs to be stressed) for the latter.
On the subject of freedom of speech, Sajid Javid referred to Momentum as “neo fascists” in Parliament knowing full well that he could hide behind parliamentary privilege and not be sued for it there - but if he set foot outside and said the same thing he'd receive a solicitor’s letter within the hour.
One of the approximate 357 Liverpool FC correspondents on Sky Sports’ payroll, Jamie Carragher, showed he could handle the mildest form of criticism by...winding down the window of his car and gobbing in the general direction of somebody reminding him that his beloved Liverpool just lost a game to Man Utd from the window of his car, only to miss and instead coat the taunter’s daughter instead.  The only surprise is he didn't have seven of his mates join in, just like his ex-teammate Steven Gerrard.
Glorified talent show judge with the business acumen of a market stall trader Alan Sugar thought it was a clever idea to tweet an image suggesting that Jeremy Corbyn shares the politics of Hitler’s inner circle.  What is it with Apprentice judges showing levels of judgment and intelligence that would make calling them “halfwit” a compliment?
There’s something remarkably pathetic that it took two hacks from Murdoch’s Hate Comic, Gary O’Shea and Thea Jacobs, to write a sneering article damning “snowflake students” for suggesting that Frankenstein’s monster wasn’t the antagonist of Frankenstein but the victim.  You know who else made the same suggestion?  Mary Shelley, when she wrote the fucking book back in 1818!
In the latest example of their historic women’s division historically making history, the WWE announced a battle royale for WrestleMania 34 named after the Fabulous Moolah - only to find that quite a lot of wrestling fans are aware of Moolah’s reputation for holding back women’s wrestling in North America for the best part of four decades, not only skimming the vast chunk of her trainees’ salaries but also forcing them to pay rent at her motel if they wanted to work, and even pimping out her trainees and they were quick to let the event’s sponsors know about it.
Seemingly not learning from the last time he made a complete tit of himself (and earned a visit from Jeremy Corbyn’s solicitors in the process) Twitter troll and occasional MP Ben Bradley thought it was a good idea to pose with a pair of former Labour councillors and welcome them to the Tory party - only to be reliably informed that those councillors had been suspended and, in one case, deselected from the Labour party for making racist comments, and that them being happy to cosy up to the Tories sort of proves Momentum’s point better than anything else.
In an apparent competition to see who could act like the biggest fuckwit when discussing the same subject, the intense wave of revulsion that comes from a group of Floridian teenagers having a better grasp of what humanity involved led to Laura Ingraham taking to Twitter to mock how David Hogg got rejected by various colleges as his GPA was too low that led to various advertisers dropping Fox News like a hot, faeces-covered stone before she announced she'd be taking a week-long vacation, while the homophobic, pro-gun, child molesting racist Ted Nugent referred to the Parkland kids as “soulless” which led to...not much happening, because who has given a tuppenny fuck about Ted Nugent in the past 25 years?  Either way, still a colossal dickhead.
On that subject, I can’t help notice there’s a lot of pro-gun liars intent on regurgitating the lie that the March for our Lives kids bullied Nathan Cruz, and how the poor innocent victim Cruz fought back against these vicious bullies and we should stop persecuting him for cold-bloodedly murdering seventeen people who, by their own thick-headed excuse for an argument, weren't even the seventeen people he meant to shoot in the first place.  And that, Ted Nugent, is what a soulless person looks like - and there’s a shitload of them all over Twitter.
Be thankful for the Salisbury nerve agent attack as it gave the British media even more reasons than usual to avoid reporting how Drug Minister Victoria Atkins banned the growing of cannabis for medicinal use in the UK with one swipe of the pen - and with another granted Paul Kenward, who just so happens to be her husband, a license to grow medicinal cannabis in the UK for export abroad.
Somebody who thinks it’s a good idea to describe themselves as a “professional shitposter” Count Dankula attempted to say that he was going to jail for teaching a dog the Nazi salute, which of course Breitbart and lots of people who used this as an excuse to make completely unconnected rants about Islam jumped on immediately.  They probably should have broken with tradition and checked their facts before mouthing off, because what actually got him charged with inciting racial hatred was making comments as “Gas the Jews!” throughout the video, as if the systematic extermination of millions is the basis for some good, hearty gut laughs for all the family.
I know that he wasn't aware of the irony that he was unfolding in front of him, but watching how Cambridge Analytica CEO Alexander Nix went into detail about how the company would use hidden cameras in a ploy to honeytrap politicians while being filmed saying this by a hidden camera did almost as much damage to the firm’s image as the revelations that came out as a result of the piece.
And finally, blaming video games while an elephant with the letters N, R and A emblazoned upon it shits on the Oval Office carpet, we have Donald Trump.

A Quick Q&A with Ingrid Chua-Go
By: Jessica Michault
It was that age-old question, “do I buy a Louis Vuitton bag or a couch for my house” that was the impetus for influencer, Ingrid Chau-Go to launch her blog “The Bag Hag Diaries” back in 2005. Now her site is the place to go to discover all the latest news in luxury handbags and read Chua-Go’s straight forward reviews on each new bag to hit the market.
Since the launch of her blog, Chau-Go has also branched out to write for brands like Ermenegildo Zegna and fashion e-commerce sites such as Luisa Via Roma and Harrods of London. Her fashion articles have also appeared on The Huffington Post, the South China Morning Post and she has a column in the Philippine Daily Inquirer.  Here she tells us all about her big break, why she would love to have dinner with Marshall McLuhan and how her parents inspire
Q: How did you first get interested in fashion?
A: I think my interest in fashion came much later than most people within our industry. I was in my freshman year of college in California, fresh from my move from Asia, that I began spending a considerable amount of time reading fashion magazines while seated comfortably on the floor of Safeway (our local supermarket). I first laid eyes on a Chanel classic flap bag then, on the ad pages of Vogue and Bazaar. And knew I loved that bag and wanted it. And so I saved my college money– chose to stay home than spend time with friends having meals in food joints or watching movies on weekends!
Q: What made you finally decide to launch out your own and create your brand and blog?
A: There was really no plan. I just wanted to write. Before I had left my career to focus on family, I was the managing editor of the top weddings magazine (then) in the Philippines and prior to that, was producing news for the Fox News Channel Asia affiliate in Hong Kong. I began the blog thinking I could finally write in the manner I speak, and not have to be edited for it. And at that time, I was obsessing about a Louis Vuitton Neo Denim Speedy with croc handles. I loved the bag but was so torn between spending my money on that bag, or on a new couch. So I began writing about that obsession. Manila was at the time, still not as fashion forward as it is today, and it was still unheard of to buy a “runway” bag as our LV boutique only carried commercial versions. I finally decided on the bag and had asked the head of LV Philippines to secure that bag for me. It was not easy too, because of the preferential allocations given to countries like Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore over the Philippines. But you know the power of positive thinking? Yep, it worked for me haha. I began writing more about bags shortly thereafter, but even before the blog began, I had already been a bag lover. Thanks to the bag that started it all for me, that Chanel classic flap bag. Purchased at I.Magnin one windy night in San Francisco, minutes before the department store closed for the day!
Q: What was your big break?
A: I remember that year. I was about to turn 35 years old in a few months and I said to a small group of friends, “Something exciting it going to happen when I turn 35.” Of course I knew nothing about this then. I just felt that there were things that were about to happen in my life. And then I got that email from Luisaviaroma.com (LVR), inviting me to fly to Florence for their 10th anniversary and their first ever Firenze4ever event that featured bloggers. I was quite surprised actually, because I never knew who was reading my blog. I was never conscious of my writing style on the blog and suddenly felt so mortified that someone might have been doing grammar and spell- checks on my posts and was probably laughing so hard at how horribly I had strung my sentences! Anyway, so I went to Florence and attended the event, and celebrated my 35th birthday there! Shortly after, LVR chose me to represent them to the shows in Paris. They had begun working on written content for the site, and asked me to cover shows and write up about them. I was perhaps the only person there in that group of bloggers who wasn’t really a “style” blogger. I was more interested in writing than showing what I wore– besides, I tried the life of a style blogger– changing into different outfits a day to get photographed. I didn’t last for more than 1 hour.
 Q: Who inspires you?
A: My parents my family. The one thing I believe that I have held onto ever since I began in this industry, is how I was determined to separate my private life from my social media persona. Certain values have been ingrained in me by my parents and I cannot thank them enough for it. My father was 14 years old when he moved from China to the Philippines. He had not known the English alphabet then and had to learn all that from scratch at that age. And he persevered and was so dedicated to his studies that he managed to graduate with honors in Chemical Engineering in the top university in the Philippines. To this day, I still am amazed at how he was able to achieve that.
Q: Who living or dead would you love to be able to have dinner with?
A: I’d honestly have wanted to have a meal with professor Marshall McLuhan, the man who had coined “global village” and who had then somehow predicted the birth of the internet age. I’d love to know what he thinks of all this now, the evolution of the internet and social media. He might be turning in his grave now, at how this medium has turned everyone into reality stars. Wouldn’t that be most interesting?
Q: What is your favorite trip?
A: Hard to say. But I think all the trips I have taken with my family are my favorite. No matter where we go, as long as I am with all of them, I know I’ll have a fantastic and memorable time.
Q: When are you happiest?
A: I am happiest when I am around my children, when I am around people that I am comfortable with, when I know I won’t be judged for my stupid antics and actions!
Q: What is the biggest challenge you are currently facing?
A: Wow, there are quite a number of them. Apart from challenges in my personal relationship (in marriage– which I don’t really talk about openly because I have to protect my kids), I am also currently trying to find a good balance between running a business (I’ve been running an accessories boutique with my best friend for 8 years now– it’s called Accessory Lab), finding time to write again for the blog and also for the paper (I have a column on the Philippine Daily Inquirer, but haven’t written in over 6 months), and also taking on a new project as executive producer of a new 30- minute food and travel show for Fox Networks Group/ Star World. Oh and let’s not forget I have to make time for my family!!!
Q: What is your secret talent?
A: I loooove to cook! I don’t know if you’d call that talent because I have not yet made a career out of it, but I do love cooking!
Q: What is your motto or the best piece of advice you ever got?
A: Stay humble. Always.
Q: What emoji do you use the most?
A: The emoji of laughter to the point of tears.
Q: What was the latest instagram account you decided to follow?
A: @gem_hunt‘s. I also love jewellery. Apart from the usual bags, shoes, and travel. Oh boy all these interests are expensive. Oh if only one needs not work to live a life of luxury.

State of Bandit Fic
it’s been a couple of months since i posted one of these and i’d like to have one done by the end of the year SO here we go. under a read more for length.  my apologies, mobile users.
plans for the rest of the year:
roisa secret santa goes up next monday.  i still don’t know what i’ll post on the monday after that.  i have another chapter ish of falling written, but idk if that’s a direction i really want to go with that novel.  maybe, maybe not.  idk.
word count maintained 2k during november with only a few hiccups.  this month the first couple of weeks i had multiple days where word count was less than 1k.  i’ve gotten it back up to 1k and think that the sudden jump from main focus on roisa hp au to main focus on rss was part of the issue there (when i go and make sure i get 1k in the hp au, i tend to hit 2k again, so there’s that).  i plan to try and maintain the 1k to the end of the year with the hope that i reach a total of 400k written this year (at the end of november, i was at approximately 381.5k - give or take a few - which means i only needed to write 18.5k this month.  i have at least 11.5k in various other non-roisa hp au projects from this month, not including any word count from second writes, and i know i’ve done at least another 1k (probably 2k or more) in the roisa hp au - so i should be hitting that if i keep up the 1k minimum).
that Christmas project i said i started last year and wanted to finish this year won’t be finished in time for Christmas most likely so my apologies.  :/  it just takes more mental thought for less word count and my focus right now is on rss.  sorry.
plans for next year:
i’m very tentative on these, but this is what i’ve been thinking about (and may or may not actually do):
focus on five days a week at 1-2k with saturdays and sundays off - still plan on keeping word count on one of those days but giving the other one for second write for the monday update because i’ve found that trying to do the second write and final edits and get 1k written is really hard for me to do, especially with longer updates.  so i’m not going to push myself for that.
this also potentially allows me an additional day to spend editing or drafting other projects - like the roisa hp au or mexican stud or stuff like that which i want to be finished and go through another edit and possible betaing before posting - and while that might not be immediately, i like that space being open and available.
focus on finishing the rough draft of the first book of the roisa hp au and hopefullly get it through a second draft and betaing and polishing so that maybe it starts getting posted in july or august.
i was thinking july but we’ll see.  i don’t want to lock myself into something like i did with ACAL this year, and while i like having it set up for the beginning of the school year, i’m not sure that’s enough time.  i haven’t done this kind of editing/drafting/betaing before on a project - with the exception of noir fic, which...hasn’t been posted and got stalled in the fourth draft.
i also think that this would be in place of the monday updates instead of a separate update as i originally planned.  because this first book is currently 16 chapters long, that would give me multiple months to focus on other projects while they’re updating - and that time off was something i really wanted in july and ended up getting mostly in october and november.  so we’ll see.
possibly hosting roisa fic week probably around july 4th and then possibly hosting rss next year, as well, but with a longer application time (probably all of october, but unsure).
possibly pick-up lines month for january into february in time for valentine’s day.  still not sure.
more focus on personal projects.
i want to write my original fic and i’ve been focusing on fanfic and that’s not a problem but i should do some writing on my original fic, too.
not sure what this means yet because i plan to maintain monday updates because that’s been a good schedule for the past however many months and i like having that schedule.
i did set up a blog for that fantasy thing i mentioned a while back, but it’s...more complicated and something i want to ease into before bringing it up real big.  so.  in the wings.
time off from social media in january.
not sure how i’ll be doing this either, but i just want to take some time off from facebook/tumblr/twitter/etc.  i don’t think full blackout because i plan to still be posting links to chapter updates and such here, but i’ve found...i get really worn-out and waste so much time and i just.  want to see what happens.  idk.
so that’s that.
and then general fic updates:
posted but incomplete fics:
if you lived here, you’d be home now
no change from last update
started a reread, maybe that’ll help
jane: the real story
no change from last update
might be dead fic; i’m not super interested in continuing this
blame soulmate timer au
heart in motion
no change from last update
luisa and the child
aka the sequel to luisa and the fox
no change since last update with the exception of some brainstorming
sin rostro
holding off because other projects are louder right now.  still excited for this idea, though
emilia antonia
started the next chapter.
probably going to be focusing on this as one of my primary focuses in the new year.  actually i should poll about this.
falling
have another chapter written but not posted but not sure if want to keep that direction or not
started the chapter past that one as well
aftershocks
all of the current chapters are posted
back to back-burner
debating a flashback chapter
the time of your life
finished posting bitches get glitches
rafael’s fic - and the rest of this series - is one of my potential primary focuses in the new year.  i’m still really excited about this series and where it’s going.
have working titles for both rafael’s and petra’s fics.
apparently michael, who i hadn’t planned to have involved, is maybe going to actually show up.  i’m thinking his first appearance might be in petra’s fic, but i’m not sure on that point.
unposted fics:
where the lightning splits the sea:
aka roisa hp au
the first book rough draft is probably going to be my primary focus in the new year, as i stated above.
currently in chapter eleven of what i expect will be sixteen.  chapter lengths vary, so it’s possible that when i go through the second write i may change chapter divisions so that they aren’t too long for ao3 postings.
i’m still super excited to be writing this one and super excited to jump into this fic so - i haven’t hit burnout, which is amazing.
mexican stud
aka rosalint fic
no change from last update
probably a primary focus in the new year as stated above
everything’s coming up roses
no change from last update
various other soulmate aus
no change from last update
epic superhero crossover
aka jtv/tick/timeless/supergirl/x-files/agent carter/person of interest crossover
possibly also to include proven innocent and deputy in a tie-in with the x-files aspect - re: how to get mulder and scully directly involved and not just have the syndicate and world-building aspects
still getting bigger
obviously i have added in person of interest as part of the crossover - primarily because i pulled in wendy mcnally - bridget’s character - from one of the episodes not because i’m pulling in main characters or themes (although there’s a possibility of that)
i have started bits and pieces of this
mexican stud, obviously
mostly dottie/lint stuff
and then a few thousand words in collateral damage, which is basically the wendylu fic that explains what happens with luisa in the three years after rose’s death
the primary fic taking place three years after rose dies but there are a lot of other interconnecting fics that cover that period and earlier, etc.
i want this to be a primary focus, but it’s...complicated
timeless/noir fusion fic
HEY I STARTED IT
IT SHOULD BE REALLY COOL
LOOK IT’S EXCITING AND I WANT TO WRITE MORE OF IT
basic premise: lucy teams up with amnesiac!assassin!emma as they delve into secret societies and etc.
emma is an assassin and has amnesia.
rittenhouse doesn’t suck.
carol doesn’t suck.
lucy is still a history professor, but at amy’s behest (YEAH AMY’S ALIVE), she went to a smaller university somewhere else instead of going into carol’s department
idk who else will show up in the fic yet - emma probably has one of the machines but i’m not sure which one yet either, so that means probably should look at rufus/jiya/mason and maybe flynn BUT not sure
noir is very female-focused with no male main characters so trying to mesh that with timeless is complicated
the focus would need to be on emma and lucy and their relationship
as a result, this will likely end up being prestmore.
sorry not sorry.
there are other projects i’ve considered - like one with nymphs kind of related to something else, and pick-up lines month like i mentioned above, AND ALSO @only-freakin-sunflowers AND I MIGHT BE BRAINSTORMING A COLLAB PROJECT - but i think that’s a good place to stop for now.  ^^

Fanfiction Questions
30. What inspires you to write?
I don’t know.  That’s a dumb answer.  But like, if I’m really honest, I don’t really know.
I’ve been writing since...almost as long as I can remember, and I don’t know why I started.  For a while, I wanted to do adaptations?  I don’t know.  I just. write. When it comes to specifically what I’ve been writing recently, it’s like...there are these stories and ideas that I want to develop and find out?  Like ideas that come together and just I want to write that and then go and write it and don’t always finish it.With RP, it’s been I want to develop and get to know this character better and I want to have this character interact with these other characters but also a very clear I think I can write this character - because there are a lot of characters I like but don’t have strong enough muse to think I can write them well.Fanfic - with Roisa, it was just...I was intrigued by the dynamic.  And then it’s just - I have these ideas and I want to write them down and I want to get them out and to share them with other people.  It’s just having this ideas that sit and sit and don’t go away and want to be written and I keep thinking about them and want to write them out. (Which has gotten me into trouble.  Not in the fanfic world so much as in the rp sphere, but that’s an entire other story.)Once I’ve started something, I will be honest, interaction from readers is what inspires me to actually finish the thing because I will be honest, I’m typically horrible at finishing longer projects.  It’s so easy to get distracted with new projects and forget to go back to other ones, even if I want to finish them, and that’s probably why I do the polls and everything because it’s just-- That’s a way for me to take and go and do and write in a way that keeps me inspired to keep writing.
31. What’s the nicest thing someone has ever said about your writing?
Well, I don’t really like to think of things in terms of nicest just because that...sounds like there’s a sliding scale and it’s really more like...with the exception of angry mob people, I typically love the comments and reactions I get to my writing?  Even when it’s people being mean because it means they’re at least paying attention? But I think - typically - when people tell me that I should write original fic, that’s something that sticks with me, and then - and this is a carryover from the rp sphere - but when people tell me that something I’ve written (typically headcanon but character portrayal is a thing) has changed how they interact with the canon material, that means a lot to me, too.
39. What is you greatest strength as a writer?
Worldbuilding.  Hands down, I think worldbuilding is my greatest strength.  (Consistency is a second but that’s just me being a stickler for consistency, and I can’t even use that because Carla’s eyes used to be blue and now they’re canonically brown for me and I don’t plan on going back and editing them so oops.)But, no, worldbuilding - taking small changes and seeing the effects those have further down the line.  Um - I keep going back to rp examples, but when I wrote Jessica Rabbit (and this is a good example I think), it was taking okay, cartoons are actually Toon actors, so what does this mean in terms of the world?  Where did they come from?  Are there other Toon cities? How does religion interact with this? etc.  Just - that’s a small thing and then building around and extrapolating from that.Or - soulmate aus.  I love soulmate aus.  Like - the soulmate timer au that came up in One Screwed Up Family - that’s one that I’ve had for a while - but like.  If you live in a world with soulmates where they are actually a documented thing, how does that affect society?  What happens to people who no longer have soulmates?  What happens to shallow hookups and bars because is that cheating on your soulmate?  What if your soulmate is abusive?  But they’re still your soulmate?  So do you divorce them?  Would you ever feel like you could be happy with anyone else since they aren’t your soulmate?  What does soulmate even mean?  (And soulmate definition, for me, does change depending on what the soulmate prompt is.)So - yeah.  I think that’s my strength.  I’m...really thorough when it comes to worldbuilding.
40. What do you struggle the most with in your writing?
Dialogue.  I have a hard time making my characters distinguishable through their dialogue.  They tend to sound the same.  And I’ve found I tend to reuse descriptions and small things over and over - and going through edits does help with that a little bit, but not as much as I want.  I think Rose and Luisa have a lot of the same actions over and over because my mind grabs something and it...I think it gets repetitive.  :/But I think I’m worse at dialogue.  My characters can often sound ooc - at least to me - especially in comparison with other writers who I think capture their voice a lot better.  (This, for me, is particularly telling in IYLHYBHN - I think I got Luisa and Rose’s voices down pretty well in the first chapter, but I don’t think I maintain that very well.)
45. What is your all time favourite fanfic?
I...have a lot of favorite fanfics, and I don’t know if I can pick one overall favorite, but.
To The Stars by hieronym is probably the first one I’ll bring up because I love it and it’s intricate and the characterization is amazing and the worldbuilding is phenomenal and also it’s really, really long and has been going for over seven years and I love this fic a lot.  This is for Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and it was started before Rebellion Story came out (and if you haven’t seen PMMM, I highly recommend it because the story is really good).I also really love the fatal plunge series by maleficently, which is swanqueen fanfic and unfinished and the second book had such amazing Regina characterization and that’s why I loved it.  I loved how she captured Regina.  It was just.  Ugh.  Love!...and then there are too many favorite Roisa fics to try and just pick one so I’m not going to.  ;D
46. If someone was to read one of your fanfics, which fic would you recommend to them and why?
Depends on fandom.
I would probably suggest either....  Well, one of the following:
1) Luisa and the Fox (because it is my personal favorite of my fics and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve read it or how excited to finally start on the sequel in a more specific format like, I love this fic it is my favorite of mine and I want a printed copy of it so I can share it with people this one probably has my highest recommendation if you only read one of my fics, read this one)
2) like lightning (because i love my baby!lint fic and this is the other one i want to print out and share with people)
3) grind (because this is probably my favorite of my roisa one-shots)
4) hollows (because this is my other favorite roisa one-shot)
5) body, body (because i really loved this frozen one-shot don’t judge me and also anna was a freaking cannibal and i actually have an entire world built around this that i wanted to expand on but oh well - and also my second most read fic)
6) on aquariums and besties (which is a really bad title but i love the scully/jess fluff and also hey remember how luisa hallucinates i’ve played around with people who don’t have concrete holds on what’s real before and this does come up here)
7) lost causes (to this day, this is my most read fic)
8) make life worthwhile (my third most read fic - my wfrr stand alone stuff does really well)

Current State of Bandit Fic
The last official one of these was in May, and then the last other update of a general updating schedule magnitude was in July, so...it’s been a while, so it’s time for another one of these, I think.
Under the cut because I know these tend to get long and not everyone wants to read all of it and apologies to mobile users because I don’t think the cut works for y’all.  Sorry!
plans for the rest of the year in terms of updates:
I’ve updated my word count this month to 1.5k daily instead of 1k daily and then plan to up it to 2k daily during Nanowrimo - and then if that’s able to hold, I’m hoping to keep that daily 2k up during December (but with the holidays, who knows).
I really like doing those polls before the Monday updates to see what y’all want and then posting that - and I think, with the variations in what I have in backlog, that maybe works better until I have a bunch of backlog for a bunch of different projects (like how I had Carla finished and had Luisa and the Fox finished and so was really just alternating new writing in between ... was it maybe once a month?) - so I think, come November, I’ll probably do that again.  That way I’m updating projects I have stuff written for and don’t feel constrained to projects I don’t have written updates for and might feel constrained trying to write updates.
October is still Kiss Prompts Month - I do have fall prompts, too, but other than one, they’re unfinished and probably won’t get posted until November.
October Monday updates will also continue to be for Luisa and the Wolf because that is your spoopy Halloween holiday fic.  Huzzah.
November is Nanowrimo, but given the writing this month, I should be okay in terms of keeping up the Monday schedule.
I have:
one (1) chapter of Falling
two (2) chapters of Aftershocks
one (1) fall prompt
two (2) chapters of Bitches Get Glitches
potentially three if i split that third chapter up into two chapters, which i’m still seriously considering doing.
Those should cover the four Monday updates in November if I don’t write other stuff for them.
My focus for the rest of the year in terms of finishing something is to finish the rough draft of the first book of the Roisa HP AU.  That’s the book I’m planning to focus on during Nanowrimo, and hopefully I’ll be able to get the rough done so that I can get the first book to y’all sometime next year.
Roisa Secret Santa is a thing!  I’m organizing that and I hope that goes off really well!
I may do Christmas or holiday prompts in December - because I really like having short little prompts to work on when I don’t want to dive into a deeper chapter - something short to write instead of something longer is oddly nice - so we’ll see about that.
I also want to finish one of the Christmas fics I started last year, but it’s not good in terms of word count - like...you’ll understand if I post it - but that’s...a high priority.
Other than that, I don’t know what the Monday updates in December will be, but we can cross that bridge when we get there.
general fic updates (aka - i mostly stop using capital letters for whatever reason):
posted but incomplete fics:
if you lived here, you’d be home now:
no one’s asked but it’s been months since an update and it’s not that i don’t want to update, it’s that it’s been long enough that i feel i should finish a reread of what’s posted before starting the next chapter and i keep dragging my feet on that.
i actually have a good idea of what happens in the next several chapters, so that’s not the issue, it’s just getting myself to finish the reread and then actually doing the writing.
there’s still a lot of chapters left.  sorry?  maybe i’m sorry for not updating more regularly now that ACAL is finished. :/
jane: the real story:
this is on back-burner because, even though i’m really salty, i’ve found that when i hit hey, it’s time to write petra! i run into a wall of okay, but i know people love petra, and i know she has a very specific voice and tone and then i get kind of...overwhelmed and worried that she’ll be ooc.  which is probably why i haven’t written the next chapter yet (michael isn’t really like this, but he might be - and raf isn’t like this at all because raf in j:trs is meant to be a commentary on...raf).  i think it’s that i don’t have a well enough grip of writing petra closer to canon to feel up to par writing her in this situation.  maybe?  idk.
i know this is one of the most ... whatever fics on ao3 when it comes to my fics, so like, i’m aware of that, it’s just...back-burner right now.
heart in motion:
i actually started the second chapter of this a while back.  i should finish that.  if so, you might see it in a monday update poll   we’ll see.
luisa and the child:
aka the sequel to luisa and the fox
i have the first...two?  three? idk chapters written.  i’m still feeling out the plot - i have a good idea of bits and pieces of it, but i’m still waiting on those to come together in one cohesive thing.
similar to the last three chapters of luisa and the fox, i don’t plan on posting these until i’ve got the entire thing roughed out and gone through a second write.  maybe a beta.  not sure on that one yet.
sin rostro:
this is another one of those petra is an important character who shows up in the next chapter and i’m not sure i’ll write her well issues.  holding off on this one.
emilia antonia:
i have a general idea for what happens in the next chapter, as well as a general idea of what happens in the rest of the fic.  this one’s a matter of me sitting down and focusing on it and writing it, and i’ve been in a bandit writes lint fic headspace recently, which doesn’t bother me.
falling:
i feel like i should go back and resee some of the episodes of hannibal with margot in s2 and s3 and then review a bit of muskrat farm in s3 (as well as some of alana in s3) because that’s where lu is in chapter three.  because i haven’t, i’ve been holding off on writing this one, too, even though i...have a general idea of things that happen throughout the fic. but no real ending.
also maybe have a crack fic planned that would technically be a sequel to this one but would really be a crack fic.  maybe.  we’ll see.
aftershocks:
have two new chapters for y’all written.
have a general idea of what happens in the next chapter.
have a general idea of things that happen in later chapters but not sure where those chapters are in terms of how immediate they are, if that makes sense.
the time of your life:
bitches get glitches is completely done in terms of second write, so each chapter would probably just need a precursory read-through in terms of grammar/spelling/etc. and other minor edits.
with the exception of what would be the third chapter if i split the current third chapter into two chapters - the roisa scene probably warrants a little more than just a precursory read-through before posting.
i’ve started the next fic, which is rafael’s fic.  the next one would be petra’s.
basically, each of the first however many fics (four) focuses on one character and their encounters with their soulmate timer.
one screwed up family focused on rose, even though it also included luisa’s past with her timer.
bitches get glitches focuses on jane, even though it also includes carry-over updates on what’s been going on with luisa and rose since the first fic.
the third fic focuses on rafael.
the fourth fic focuses on petra.
at this point, i have a fairly good idea of when each of these five characters’ timers went off and when they might go off in future fics (i’d be more specific here, but spoilers!).
after those four, i would want to write a fifth fic that wraps things up - but this is kind of dependent on where things get left off in petra’s fic.
rafael’s encounters don’t finish in his fic, which leaves it on kind of a cliff-hanger, and i don’t think his final encounter happens in petra’s fic, so...fifth fic.
i’m actually hoping that writing petra in this fic will give me the confidence to write petra in the other fics she shows up.  so.  there’s that.
unposted fics:
where the lightning splits the sea:
aka roisa hp au
as stated before, the first book is my planned main project for nanowrimo and i hope to have the rough draft finished by the end of the year (we’ll see if that actually happens or not).
i have an entire series outline consisting of main things i want to happen in each book, along with their titles, and things that have to happen in specific books to set up for the proper pay off in later books.
the first book is entirely outlined - chapter by chapter.
i’ve started chapter-by-chapter outlines for books two and three.
the entire compiled outline alone is seventeen pages long.
i love this project a lot, and i’m super excited to share it with y’all, it’s just long.
mexican stud:
aka rosalint fic
i have a full working outline!  chapter by chapter!  huzzah!
this one still comes in bits and pieces and scenes that aren’t always interconnected.  i know what happens, but then pick and choose at scenes to write when i want to write it.
this fic will likely end up being fairly explicit - or, compared with other stuff i’ve written, more explicit - simply due to the themes and the content.  that may be part of why i take so long to write it - explicit scenes have a tendency to make me uncomfortable when i’m reading them and i don’t feel fully comfortable posting explicit scenes. but....
this would considered part of the epic superhero crossover (see below), even though the events are, to some extent, considered canon to aftershocks (with some exceptions which can be explained...later).
everything’s coming up rose’s:
stalled.
still excited, still want to write it, but focusing on other things atm.
various other soulmate aus:
one-shot (tentatively titled chorus: romance says goodnight):
still kicking around in my head.
still want to write it.
don’t think y’all will like it because it’s in raf’s point of view.
and other reasons.
but still want to write it.
dreamers often lie:
still at the point where i’ve brainstormed enough that i should start writing it because then i’ll get a more concrete idea of the world and of the events in the world but--
i’m currently focused on the soulmate timer au in terms of soulmate fics right now.  oops.
epic superhero crossover:
aka jtv/tick/timeless/supergirl/x-files/agent carter crossover.
hey, look, that’s a lot of things, so expect this to be massive, too.
the more i brainstorm this one, the bigger it gets, and at this point, i think it’ll probably be a bunch of interconnected fics in a series - like the time of your life - the soulmate timer au - instead of one big massive fic. it’s just easier to conceive of that way.
mexican stud is a fic on its own but goes within this crossover.
i want to write a fic about how emma and whitney get together (because they are together before rose gets them and all three of them are together in mexican stud - together as in a group, not as in together, even though emma and whitney definitely are together).
i want to write a fic about how dottie became the way she is when we meet her in the main fic (this would likely involve carterwood and dottie/whitney aspects - either directly or implied - and then it would likely come up in the main fic, there’s a bit from the part i just wrote that i want to be directly an exact quote from this).
i want to write a fic with rhea raising dottie (and potentially use that as backstory on how rhea and lena are...coworkers/acquaintances/partners/surrogate found family/etc. which could lead to complications re: lena and dottie but...idk).
even if lena isn’t a huge part of the rhea/dottie family fluff, i want to write something that deals with rhea in luthor-corp and l-corp and what she was doing after she got to earth - because that one’s different than canon (because i’m using ben’s rhea in a pod au v1 for this).
then there’s the main fic itself - which is where you get a lot of the crossover elements - particularly the x-files elements, which don’t really come up directly in the other fics but are definitely there in some of them (and by some of them, i mean the dottie backstory fic, they would be in the dottie backstory fic).  this would also be where the supergirl cast actually comes in (other than rhea and lena and the luthors and maybe astra?  maybe astra’s alive in this?  since rhea was around maybe she took astra?  or lillian?  idk haven’t decided yet).
so - like - this one is also a huge massive undertaking but in a different way than the roisa hp au is.  the interconnected fics for this aren’t necessarily as linear as the ones for the roisa hp au, and i want the main fic to be enjoyable on its own even if you haven’t read the other fics - the other fics might also stand on their own ish, but like...the random kingdom hearts games - to get the full story, you maybe want to play the main games.  ish.
also debating using my trans!mulder here because...like, i love him and i know he got me into trouble but...his story works so well here in context and i would love to use him here.  so.  it’s.  complicated.  :/
but - yeah - there’s your update on the state of things.  maybe look out for another update at the beginning of january, because i might be changing up some of how i’ve been writing and goals and things - but i think that’s it for now.

Author Ask Game
tagged by: the wonderful @only-freakin-sunflowers who i don't get to tag below because has already done the fun thing.
author name: bandit! for my fanfic, i'm bandit. it's different on ff.net - slightly - but since i don't really post stuff there anymore, that's irrelevant. i'm also aparticularbandit on ao3.
fandoms you write for: right now, primarily jtv with a dash of the tick because i love miss lint. i sometimes pull in characters from other fandoms i've written with/for - typically hannibal, who framed roger rabbit, ouat - and i plan on pulling in characters from agent carter, supergirl, timeless, and the x-files for the upcoming epic superhero crossover series (i think it might be done like the soulmate timer au is now...sort of) and then plan to pull in hp and supergirl characters for the roisa hp au - like beyond other fandoms i normally pull characters from - but that's upcoming stuff and not current stuff.
where you post: ao3. haven't posted on ff.net recently, i don't think, and while i have posted something here (and sometimes have posted drabbles/one-shots for various rp characters on their blogs), i primarily post on ao3 now.
most popular one-shot:
by hits: lost causes
by kudos: lost causes
by comments: lost causes
by bookmarks: lost causes
i thought one of those would be different. oh well. but, yeah, lost causes far and away beats in all but the comments, where my multi-chapters have it beat.
--the kiss/fall prompts have it beat, too, but i consider that a multi-chapter anthology and not a one-shot.
most popular multi-chapter story:
by hits: jane: the real story
by kudos: A Christmas at Longbourne
by comments: luisa and the fox
by bookmarks: if you lived here, you'd be home now
favourite story you wrote: uh. um. i know I've been openly posting pretty frequently about how much i love luisa and the fox - linked above - and it's definitely a HUGE favorite of mine, especially recently - but, given that this is talking about all of my fanfic, there are others i want to mention that i particularly like and that otherwise probably wouldn't get brought up but are still definitely favorites.
grind is my favorite of my jtv one-shots - the closest to it is probably the trilogy of one-shots in it's love's illusions i recall; i really don't know love at all series but even then, grind is my favorite.
like lightning is my baby lint fic and i love my baby lint fic and i think it was actually really well-written and i just love that fic.
there are a bunch of fics that i wrote as gifts or prompts when i was more active in the rpc and a lot of them i think are good and am also really attached to:
body, body - frozen fic, prompted, also one of my top fics in terms of hits
On Christmas and Frenemies - hannibal fic, present for river, uses my will and her freddie
on aquariums and besties - crossover fic, present for river, uses my jessica rabbit and her dana scully
the mondays series - crossover fic, uses my jessica rabbit and jae's regina mills - and also henry and then also my friend willow's roger rabbit
this sinking boat - crossover fic, uses my jessica rabbit and river's dana scully
falling slowly - five times kissed prompt, uses my jessica rabbit and river's dana scully
the one you want, (not) the one you need - crossover fic, uses my jessica rabbit and jae's regina mills
points of remembrance - five times kissed prompt, uses my jessica rabbit and willow's roger rabbit
and then there's story of a girl, the noir fanfic i wrote that i still haven't published that i keep bringing up every now and again.
story you were nervous to post: parasite. i originally wrote it last november but was so worried about how the content would feel and how sensitive it might be that i left it alone until the second write for roisa week.
how do you pick your titles: uh. song lyrics or titles. references. something that seems to fit. sometimes they come with titles. it's not really an exact science. >.>
do you outline: for bigger projects, when i know they're bigger, yes. luisa and the fox had something like one in my head after a certain point, but mostly for my shorter stuff, not really. ACAL had a mental outline of what needed to happen in each chapter. mexican stud finally has an outline so that i remember what scenes are left and what chapters the scenes i have go in.
but mostly outlines are for multi-book projects or stuff that's so complicated it's hard to keep it straight with all of the details. the ouat/pmmm crossover i think had an outline; the pmmm how many timelines is it? fic definitely had one; and then the biggest outline i have for a current project is the one for the roisa hp au - which has a chapter-by-chapter outline for the first book, the beginnings of chapter-by-chapter outlines for books two and three, and then details of stuff that has to happen per book or that i might want to include per book for all seven books - including two possible endings and the results of each ending.
how many of your stories are complete: on ao3? 45.
in-progress: again, on ao3, 19.
coming soon: define soon. in terms of unposted projects, i'm hoping to have the first book of the roisa hp au up next year. i've been making more progress on mexican stud, but that one's complicated. luisa and the child, but that one's still...in progress in terms of what the plot wants to be. i have puzzle pieces that kind of fit together. there's a bunch of other stuff i've got waiting to be written or that i've been brainstorming, but of the unposted stuff, those are the primary projects.
oh, and if i can finish it, there's a Christmas fic i started last year that i hope to finish for y'all this year.
OH YEAH AND LOOK OUT FOR THE ROISA SECRET SANTA PROJECT.
mostly i want to focus on getting back to and finishing other projects i've started and not just starting a bunch of new ones.
do you accept prompts: yes, but understand that depending on the prompt it might take me a while to get the thing written - like the roisa as hannigram prompt which is still in progress in terms of brainstorming but isn't even remotely done yet and might be a while before i get to it. >.>
upcoming story you're the most excited for: roisa hp au, epic superhero crossover, and luisa and the child. the first two of those are really ambitious and really complicated so i hope i can pull them off. oh, and the unfinished Christmas project from last year, if i finish it on time. i was really excited for it last year, too, but it doesn't lend itself to word count easily.
tag five fanfic authors to answer these questions: @butimnotasexyrussian, @finehs, @pulitzerpanther, @to-hell-with-oblivion, and @andtherewerefireworks - WHO I KNOW GOT TAGGED ALREADY BUT TAG ME WHEN YOU DO THE THING SO I SEE IT YO.

Current State of Bandit Fic
The last time I did one of these was on April 12, so it’s been about a month and a half.  I figured I wanted to do one again, especially since there’s been a lot more stuff started and to give general updates on what I’ve been writing, etc.
This’ll be under a cut, so apologies to you mobile users because I don’t think it does the cuts.  :/
Completed JTV Fics:
Carla
THE LAST CHAPTER HAS BEEN POSTED.  IT’S DONE.
Luisa and the Fox
I have one more chapter left to post, and I plan for that to be next month.
I do still plan on potential extended scenes in a different fic.
In-Progress Posted JTV Fics:
If You Lived Here, You’d Be Home Now
Still planning on posting at least a chapter a month until it’s done.
I’ve liked having these on alternate second Mondays with Luisa and the Fox with a chapter of Carla every other week, but given that the latter is done and the former is almost done....
Probably still plan on posting these on Mondays.
There are at least fifteen twenty known chapters (as in I have a fairly good idea of what happens in those chapters) and past those potentially two more at least - and some of those might expand because I know me and this should all happen in this chapter! and then it ends up being longer than I thought.
Right now it feels like this fic is shaping up to be more like multi-chapter chunks/arcs.
So the first arc was Luisa’s first few days at Belle Reve, and that was eight chapters.
The current arc I estimate to have at least seven chapters (six of those I have a fairly good idea of what’s going to happen but there’s an in-between of what’s currently going on and the latter half of the arc - like there’s a time period that I don’t have covered that I think may have a chapter but am not sure).
The next arc has at least five chapters (that I have general ideas on what happens with them) but will probably be longer than that.
The next arc has at least four but probably five chapters (that I have a fairly good idea of what happens - two of those chapters may be combined into one, but not sure at this point).
The next chapter has at least two, maybe three chapters before a one-two chapter break, and then there will probably be more chapters but not sure exactly on how this one will go as well.
Okay so apparently that’s more like twenty more chapters.  Oops.
The general ideas are the same as they were the last time I gave the estimate.  It’s just that at least one other complication has been added, among other things.  This is more likely to be longer than shorter.
Jane: The Real Story
Still not planning to schedule updates but may go into the Monday update slots.
Still don’t know how long this is going to be.
I do have the season one arc fairly plotted (or, well, partially plotted because there was a lot that happened in season one and while I know some of what I want to do with this, there are probably other things I should address and haven’t decided yet).
I have season two better plotted.  Or.  It’s less like seasons and more like arcs.
The first arc is Jane + pregnancy.  This is your season one equivalent, but it’s fairly different from season one.
The second arc is consequences of lying about the artificial insemination.  This is your season two equivalent, even though it address some events from season one.
The third arc is dealing with the aftermath of those consequences and...takes place in two different locations.  This is your season three/four equivalent.
I’m not sure if I’ll have an equivalent arc for season five because by that point it mostly won’t exist but I suppose there’s at least one aspect I’d like to address from season five so.  There’s that.
Basically it’s better brainstormed.
Still planning on having this be flexible in terms of updates.  For now, at least.
The Adventures of Rose, the Baker’s Daughter
I still like writing fairy tales and still don’t want to be judged but for now, this one is not in the cards to be regularly updated.  Kind of like the Pokemon fics.
Not abandoned but not super high priority.
Aftershocks
Potentially goes into one of the Monday update slots but not sure at this point.
Have a general idea of things I want to happen in this fic but not enough to give a general chapter count.  This is a really new fic, so it’s still being brainstormed ish.
I do look forward to the Luisa/Lint scenes, though, and I do plan on this being very focused on just Luisa, Rose, and Lint.  I don’t really want it to be bigger than them at the moment, although it may expand after this initial first arc.  I’m not sure yet.
May have a companion piece in regards to the Rosalint fic.
Kind of like how Carla and If You Lived Here, You’d Be Home Now are companion pieces.  You can read them separately and they work, but if you’ve read both, you get more out of them...ish.  They reference and call back to each other.
Heart in Motion
Not planning on having a firm updating schedule with this because it’s comedy and comedy is hard for me (dramedy is a little bit better but not by much).
This one is harder to write because idk if I can accurately capture the feel of all the ODAAT characters (Lydia, in particular, may be hard).
I have a general idea of where I want to go in terms of plot on this one.
I do want to have some ODAAT-centric chapters that set up for later stuff; I don’t want to just focus on Luisa and Rose drama (although I definitely do plan on drama as a result of...primarily Rose, let’s be honest).  But I don’t want to make the ODAAT characters side characters because I want it to be just as much their story as Rose and Luisa’s.
Expect irregular updates for now because that’s probably what might happen.
Sleeping Habits
I keep forgetting that there’s supposed to be a second chapter to this.
My bad.
In-Progress Unposted JTV Fics:
Everything’s Coming Up Roses
No change from the last update as I’ve been focusing on other projects.
Shenanigans: Luisa and the Fox
Name change.  More like a rearranging.
The only change here is more brainstorming, tbh, insofar as connecting it to another piece.
I like companion pieces, and while one might assume that the fairy tales are companions to each other, right now it’s looking like they’re more companions to another, much bigger, project.
May take up a Monday update slot once Luisa and the Fox is finished.
Where The Lightning Splits The Sea
aka Roisa HP AU.
This is probably going to be really, really long.
The first book has an outline.  It should be...fifteen chapters long.
The second book has the beginnings of its outline - right now it’s at least seven chapters long, but that only gets us to the end of October.
The following books I have notes on stuff that I want to make sure to include.
I’ve started writing the first book.
Right now I’m in chapter three, and the book is already over 13k.  That should give you some idea of length here.
I have a really good idea of what I want to do with this entire series.
It’s just probably going to be really long.
Right now, the plan is to finish an entire book and then post the chapters as updates (probably on Thursdays as opposed to the normal Monday updates).
I hope to have betas for these, and I’d like the betas to have the general overarching outline of what’s going on...but maybe not.
Maybe should have different betas for this.  I’m unsure.
Also I should probably finish my HP series reread.  Oh well.
A Christmas at Longbourne
aka Hallmark Holiday Special
Projected to be five chapters long.
Hopefully to be posted on Mondays in July.
Because Christmas in July, y’all!
So.  Should probably focus on this and finish the rough draft but I keep getting distracted.
Currently with the second chapter.
University AU
Unsure on length.
Have a fairly good idea of overarching plot.
I think last time I checked I was in chapter...two?
But there was a prologue, so for y’all that’d be the third chapter.  Ish.
Probably won’t be a Monday update slot.  But could be?
Rosalint Fic
Yes, this is more considered a JTV fic than a Tick fic because it’s set in the JTV universe more than The Tick universe.
Right now I mostly just have bits and pieces.  Scenes.  Some fluff, some...not.
This is likely the companion piece for Aftershocks, probably, so.  You won’t need to read both to enjoy either of them but you’ll enjoy them more if you read both.  Basically.
Brainstorming JTV Fics:
Canon-Compliant Soulmate AU
OKAY BUT I WENT THROUGH SOULMATE AU PROMPTS AND IDEAS AND I HAVE A GENERAL GOOD IDEA OF WHAT I’M DOING WITH THIS AND I’M ACTUALLY EXCITED,
It’s still in brainstorming stage because.  do you see the above?  I’ve been doing a lot of writing on a lot of other things.
Brainstorming Non-JTV Fics:
Potential Lint/Overkill Prequel Fic
Just what it says on the tin.
Probably more a collection of one-shots that would follow like lightning.
Potential Timeless Soulmate AU Fic
Focuses on Emma.
Uses the same general soulmate timer world as seen in the Roisa one-shot that people liked.
Have a good overarching idea of this but want a few more specifics before jumping into it more.
Probably won’t use the time machine BUT plan on having other Rittenhouse funded research that they want to use to control people.
Potential Timeless/Noir Fusion Fic
In which Emma has amnesia and gets dropped on Lucy’s doorstep before Lucy knows about Rittenhouse.
I have ideas about this one and I like those ideas but still hammering out the specific details of the fusion.
Like I can’t just make Lucy an assassin.
Like Emma makes better sense if I fuse her as a combination of Chloe and Altena but she’s technically in Kirika’s role.
Like how do I throw the rest of the gang in here (and do I, considering one of the great things about Noir was that none of the main characters were men and the men who showed up were usually in minor or plot device roles)?
I really want to write this because Noir is so near and dear to my heart but....  Idk if anyone else will enjoy this, tbh.

Current State of Bandit Fic:
This is long, so I apologize to everyone on mobile if that read more does not work and you have to scroll through a really long thing you don’t want to read.  Sorry!
Completed JTV Fics (by which I mean completed drafts not completed and posted):
Carla
The rough draft is completely finished.
There are fifteen chapters total.
Some of these chapters are really rough and need a lot of editing.
Okay maybe not a lot but definitely some editin.
I plan to post a chapter every other week hopefully on Mondays.
But honestly idk if I’ll keep track of which Mondays I’ve posted a chapter and which I haven’t unless I have something to alternate them with.
Luisa and the Fox
The second draft is completely finished.
It’s off with my betas.
I’ve mostly let it lie fallow for the past month-ish (or maybe only a couple of weeks idk how long it’s been friends), which means I should be able to come at it with new eyes, too.
There are five chapters total.
However, I do currently plan to have a second connected fic that’s half a direct follow-up and half I just want Luisa and the Fox fluff.
Stuff that didn’t really fit into the fic proper (like the freckles scene).
I plan to post a chapter every other week on also hopefully on Mondays.
The plan is to alternate these with Carla chapter updates, but right now I’m waiting on input from at least one of my betas before posting another chapter.
This may change in the future because I’ve been getting antsy for...a lot of reasons.
In-Progress Posted JTV Fics (by which I mean I don’t have a completed draft):
If You Lived Here, You’d Be Home Now
Now that Carla’s rough draft is finished, polls have said to focus on this one.
These chapters are harder, so hoping to do one a month.
But this really depends on how well the chapter is going - y’all probably noticed a longer wait between chapters 7 and 8 because group therapy was a barrier.
Unlike Carla and Luisa and the Fox, this fic doesn’t really have a chapter-by-chapter plan (and even Carla didn’t until those last chapters...mostly).
So I kind of know what I want to happen through the course of the fic and the order of things but sometimes more set-up is required than just jumping around (or maybe it’s not but I feel like it is).
I have no idea how many chapters are left.
At least seventeen, if my current projections are correct, and that’s dealing with stuff that I feel like needs to be in separate chapters (although I may change my mind on that later), not even necessarily including stuff that I want to sprinkle in among other things (Rose meeting with her therapist, scattered Susanna stuff, etc.), which means it might be longer, it might not be.
And like - even with those seventeen - I feel like some of them definitely warrant some cool-down time between or something like that, so guesstimates would project more than that.
Jane: The Real Story
This was second on the polls as far as things y’all wanted me to focus on.
I don’t plan to schedule updates on this one.  They may just happen when they happen.
These tend to be less intensive than the IYLHYBHN chapters, and they may fill in the every other week on Mondays slot when Carla is posted, but don’t hold me to that because I would prefer these to be unscheduled.
I also have no idea how many chapters are left.
I do plan on at least getting into s2 and s3 and potentially dealing with some of the stuff happening in s5 - like the Michael has amnesia! bit because that was part of the original post - but this is subject to change.
Mainly I have plans for that Michael bit and then dealing with Susanna and why Luisa and Rose are gone for a while.
And if this turns into Jane quit telling Mateo lies! then we...need an older Mateo.
I don’t know where/when I plan to end this.
This one is super flexible and I intend to leave it being flexible because I like having it that way.
The Adventures of Rose, the Baker’s Daughter
I like writing fairy tales don’t judge me.
This may jump into the every other week on Mondays slot when Luisa and the Fox is posted, but I may just start immediately into the other Luisa and the Fox fic that I mentioned instead.  Not sure on that yet.
I don’t know how many chapters are left.
There are at least seven, but just as with IYLHYBHN, that’s stuff I feel should be segmented into chapters and does not include other stuff that might happen between those chapters (like, for instance, I have a couple of general plot point chapters for later but don’t know all of the interconnected stuff).  In this case, I’d expect more than seven chapters.  If I finish it.  Y’all don’t seem too keen on this one.
There’s a lot of uncertains on this one, too, but I think that’s okay because y’all don’t seem too excited for it.
In-Progress Unposted JTV Fics (by which I mean I don’t have a completed draft):
Everything’s Coming Up Rose’s
90s rom-com au that no one really asked for but I’m over 17k deep into writing so you’ll probably get it anyway.
I mean.  Technically it was fourth on stuff y’all wanted me to focus on, actually ahead of The Adventures of Rose, sooooooooo.  Y’all want it but when it comes down to only getting one option on things, you don’t.
And you certainly don’t want it more than any of the other proposed aus.
Looking at maybe twelve? chapters.
Already wrote the first two and started the third, as well as having a chunk of chapter...7?? written and a bit that maybe shows up in chapter...8?? and another bit that might show up...in one of the earlier chapters maybe but I’m not sure where to put it yet.
The first two chapters are super rough but I like them, and I like this story.  A lot.  Which is why it kind of hangs out and still shows up on polls.
AND LIKE.  I ACTUALLY KNOW THE WHOLE PLOT.  DO YOU KNOW HOW RARE THAT IS.
I don’t know when I’ll start posting this one, and since y’all’ve told me y’all want me to focus on other fics in-progress and other aus, this should be lower on my totem pole but.  I like it.  So it’s not.
Luisa and the Fox: Shenanigans
Continuation of Luisa and the Fox.
No set number of chapters.
This is here for me to have more with these characters because I like them and there was more I wanted to write with them (originally just the freckles scene, but there’s starting to be some other stuff that I kind of have hanging around in my head that I might do) that didn’t really fit into the original story.
Don’t plan on posting these until after Luisa and the Fox is posted for obvious reasons, and this may fall into the every other Mondays slot once Luisa and the Fox is done.  I haven’t decided yet.
Brainstorming JTV Fics (by which I mean they’re primarily in the brainstorming stage but they may have a little bit written for them):
Harry Potter AU
The most requested AU on the poll.
Currently projected to have seven multi-chapter books.
Currently planned to be set concurrent with the original series.
Which means it may be more a crossover than an AU.  Ish.
I’ve been rereading the original series so as to get a better idea of how things fit together (and the anti-Slytherin stuff and commentary is so big and I don’t think it stops because even if you bring up Snape it’s in context of we sorted him too soon and he should’ve been in Gryffindor so like.  THOUGHTS).
This looks like it will be really long if I keep with this idea and write the whole thing.
Please don’t expect this to be finished quickly.
Please expect that I will likely take breaks to write other things.
Focus is on Clara as the viewpoint character.
I’ve made changes to birth years so that Clara and Luisa are born in the same year.
This does put Luisa a year higher in school than Clara, but since they’re in different houses anyway, this doesn’t really present a problem.
I might be overthinking this.
I’ve started outlining the first book.
I paused at chapter twelve because still figuring out the overarching series plot so the first book plot should tie into that.
I do have a general idea of character arcs for Clara/Rose and Luisa over the series and how that plays into what is discovered by the original trio over the series.
I also have a good idea of what happens in the final battle.  It’s the externals that’s causing me more problems than the character-character and internals.
I’ve started the first chapter of the first book, but it’s really rough and probably will have a lot of changes.
Hallmark Holiday Special
The second most requested AU on the poll.
Currently I have a general idea of which version I want to go with.
Those of you who were around in November/December know that there were two variations I was playing with.  A lot of aspects of those got retooled and put into Everything’s Coming Up Rose’s - and I mean a lot of aspects of both because I took the Rose from one and the Luisa from the other and meshed those together.  However, this means I can take the one that plays the Hallmark tropes straight and not worry about the complications I’d originally planned for that because they come up somewhere else, which. lets me play it more straight.
Straight, hah.
Maybe five chapters?
Off the top of my head thinking about where the chapters would break?
Maybe?
Sounds about right?
Because they’re, like, 1.5hr shows with commercial breaks every fifteen minutes, but each commercial break is like five minutes or more, so there’s like.  five segments, right?  Something like that?  My math on this is probably wrong but.  five segments?  Maybe?
I could probably jump back into writing this (I did start this somewhere in November/December) but I think I want to retool the beginning for other stuff that I think might mesh better than what I initially did.  And it needed to be edited and I should rewrite the beginning anyway, so.
This is just backburner as far as writing because do you see all of the other stuff?
Also there’s -- just because I know what needs to happen in each chapter doesn’t mean I actually have concrete plot for each chapter and I kind of want to know the complication before I jump into writing so I can make sure to get that set up properly soooooooooo we’ll see.
The hope is that I have this set and ready to post in July.
Primarily because the idea of Christmas in July makes me happy.
--and you know what.  There are five Mondays in July.  I could just have this be what I update weekly in July if there are actually five chapters.
Tentative schedule maybe????
University AU
Tied for third most requested AU with canon-compliant soulmate AU, which is below.
Since the poll for prof/prof or student/student is deadlocked at a tie, I plan to go with prof/prof.
To counterbalance the HP AU, which is a really long extended student/student AU.  With a whole bunch of other stuff.
I may do a student/student university AU later, but probably not.
My most recent ideas for the student/student university AU combines with the non-canon-compliant soulmate AU and hit some of the same points that IYLHYBHN does but in a different way with different variations.  Ish.  So because I still have general ideas for that, maybe, maybe not.  Unsure.
This is currently being brainstormed.
I have a general idea for how to start this off.
So, like, the first two chapters, maybe?  Or, like, a prologue and the first chapter?
I know how I want Rose and Luisa to meet, which would be the second chapter or...not the prologue.
I have a general idea as far as Luisa’s character.
I have less on Rose as far as concrete aspects, but I may get there.
I might jump into this one before the Hallmark Holiday Special just because it’s lingering in that place where you feel like you could be starting off on writing something and it’s there sort of thing?
Idk, it feels like less fluff than the HHS, which still needs some plot straightened out before I feel completely comfortable jumping back into it.
Canon-Compliant Soulmate AU
Tied for third most requested AU with university AU (see above).
I’m not focusing on this right now.
I know people like the one-shot and want a continuation of that, which is why this was on the poll.
I like the one-shot as a one-shot.  I think it is complete as a one-shot.  I don’t think expanding on that one will actually make it any better.
Which is why, if I revisited the soulmate timer idea, I’d planned on doing it differently and ended up combining it with the university student/student AU idea.
I do not plan on continuing the one-shot but instead want to deal with other soulmate AU tropes if I do another soulmate AU.
Given that I’d rather play with other soulmate AU tropes, I want to look through general ideas.  Once one of those stands out to me as something that could mesh better in the long form for something canon-compliant, I can start better brainstorming.
So I guess this is less in the brainstorming stage and more in the idea collecting stage.
I hang out in the RPC, so I should be able to find one of those soulmate tropes posts at some point.  And if not, you have all these other things above to look forward to that are getting more focus than this is.
This, of course, doesn’t include any one-shot ideas or the other aus I listed on that poll (I still really want to do the SG/Tick/JTV crossover because I’ve got ideas for that and how that would work), nor does it include any non-JTV fics I may or may not be writing/editing/etc.
So, basically, lots of content if I can get my butt sat down to write it.  We’ll see how it goes because, honestly, looking at all of this is intimidating, and like, I’m excited for...most of these projects but.  It’s a lot.  It’s a lot.
But I just wanted to update y’all on current projections for these.

Fanfic Asks
17. Describe a fic that is still in the ‘ideas’ stage.
I want to write something with Susanna.  Like - I know I have her as a prominent figure in a couple? of fics?  (She is of huge importance in If You Lived Here, You’d Be Home Now and then she’s one of the main characters in the au I was working on before Luisa and the Fox, and arguably she does play a role in that, too, but not to the same extent) but like.  I brought up once the idea of how Rose and Susanna might have met (or how they kept in contact) and I have these…ideas of Susanna as a character separate from the Rose!Susanna.  But not anything started yet.  Just thoughts of things.  Ideas.  (Some of which may find their way into other fics because I don’t think Susanna’s high on anyone’s priority list.)
18. Do you have a fic reading/writing routine?
Mmmmm.  I wouldn’t call it a routine, exactly?
I frequently (as in multiple times in a 24-hr period of time) check the roisa tag on AO3.  There’s a fic I’ve been following for almost seven years that, up until the last three? chapters? I pretty much read the chapters as they came out (it’s called To The Stars by ttshieronym - AO3 link is here - it’s high sci-fi PMMM futuristic amazing and it has a Russian translation, an Italian translation, and a Mandarin translation - this is one of those few fics I just.  rec.  highly.  and the author has a tumblr dedicated to talking about the science and questions and it’s just.  a good.  fic) but idk if I’d call that a reading routine? When it comes to my own writing, I try to write about 1k each day/night cycle.  I don’t always do this (and recently I’ve been doing more than this), but that’s the habit I’m trying to get into.  And finding that I can keep that up for about a month and then my mind is just okay, I need a break for a month.  So still working on that.  xDMost of the time with one-shots and Carla chapters, I post them with maybe one read-through but usually without any major edits.  Carla chapters sometimes get the second write process simply because sometimes I handwrite them first so they get that when I type them up.  I like to go through a second writing for chapters of my longer fics - right now, that’s primarily If You Lived Here, You’d Be Home Now, but I do expect to do this with the last three (or more, if the beta(s) decide they need to be split) chapters of Luisa and the Fox - which is basically opening a second document (or the photo of where it was handwritten, so some pieces get more than two writes if I handwrite a bit and then do a second write of the entire chapter later) and typing the chapter over again.  Most of the time this ends up with me expanding the chapter.  When I do the second write for chapter five of Luisa and the Fox, I know there’s a segment I want to move because it’s a better catalyst for a later segment and then I want to put something else in its place (which is really non-specific but spoilers), but I want to wait until I do the second write to make that change because right now I want to keep the forward motion going, I want to finish the chapter.  Then typically I post after the second write.  I rarely (read: up to this point have not done this for roisa fics) use betas.  I’ve considered doing so for the Noir fic, but.  idk at this point.  Luisa and the Fox I’ve asked a couple of friends who do not write in the fandom to beta as far as chapter length, primarily, and I expect after I get their thoughts back I may do a third write.  (Maybe not.  I haven’t decided yet.)And then, on a greater scale, I’ve found that when I work on a longer project, I like having something shorter.  So like, for a while, you may have noticed I would do a chapter of If You Lived Here, You’d Be Home Now and then a chapter of Carla and then sometimes a one-shot or two, and I really enjoyed doing that.  I liked having the much longer chapters of IYLHYBHN followed by something shorter and/or something self-contained and it gave me time to think about other stuff before jumping back into a longer chapter.  I haven’t done that with Luisa and the Fox as much just because it’s very there and vivid and I want to get it done and not be distracted? by another work.  But most of the time if I work constantly and consistently on a long work (and while Luisa and the Fox is long, it’s not on the same scope as something like IYLHYBHN or even the other au I started before writing it, both of which could easily be anywhere from 50k-100k - given that the former has I think over 30k already and has barely gotten very far into…it’s set a bunch of stuff up but Luisa hasn’t even gone to her first group therapy session, so it’s still in its beginnings so it’s…long, probably) I get tired and not bored but distracted, and then I just…don’t finish the longer work because I’m trying to push myself on it instead of following what I want to write. The only two exceptions to this have been Luisa and the Fox and the Noir fanfic I’ve mentioned.  Most other longer works (fanfic or not) I get bored around the 50-60k mark and see how long they might be and how much more writing there is to do and just. don’t necessarily finish them.  (I will note that Brandon Sanderson does the same thing, albeit on a larger scale, which is why you see him doing books in different series and alternate them, so there are years between books in one series while he works on something else.  It’s a similar thought, I think, although not the same scale.)
19. What’s your favorite character headcanon?
There’s a headcanon floating around that Jessica Rabbit is ace, and while I haven’t written her that way (I tend to write her as pan), I really really love that idea.  I love that headcanon.  But also there are a lot of headcanon about a lot of different characters that I really enjoy, so while it’s a favorite, it may not be my top favorite.
