i know crossfit was invented by a man and i know the advantages women have and i know my chronic extenuating circumstantial limitations i know i know i know i promise i know BUT.

i am still broodingly pissed and violently jealous that the guy who started crossfit at the same time as me and only goes twice a week and doesn’t even do any other workout in between is capable of upper body output and a vertical jump that i will only ever be able to dream of

i hate that so many men are just natural athletes even if they’ve just been sitting on their asses their whole fucking lives

i hate that men who have never so much as lifted a dumbbell can come in and bench twice my max

i hate that men who have knee injuries can still run better and faster and oxygenate more efficiently than me

it’s not fair lol i put in 6x as much work at 10x the effort expended and i get fucking tuppence out of my body for every almighty dollar they cash in just by standing up

I must have amnesia lol, because at no point during the time when The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was airing do I remember any group of people labeling all criticism of the show as “racist”

Now, what I do remember is people telling people, people who were being blatantly racist mind you, people who were mostly self-proclaimed Bucky stans btw, to stop being racist, especially in the Sam Wilson and SamBucky tags. However, no, I don’t remember people meeting every critique of the show with claims of “you only said that because you’re racist .”

Please be serious.

In fact, many people would write lengthy posts each week, myself included, centered around what they did and, more importantly, did not like about the show. Shoot, there were plenty of valid reasons to dislike the show at various times, and when those reasons were brought up, people didn’t immediately jump to calling folks antiBlack for not enjoying a show about a Black character. See, because that was reserved for the plethora of people who were clearly being racist - the people whose complaints were obviously motivated by racism.

And we all know it.

Don’t try to rewrite history just because you’re mad that people criticized Bucky’s behavior towards Sam in the show, or because people can clock when criticism is based in the reality of what happened on the show, and when it’s based in the racist motivations of the critic.
