HEART OF A WOMAN. watch me going out of the way, when i should’ve went home, only time of the day i get to spend on my own.
02, CHAPTER TWO. IF I CALL, YOU GON’ ANSWER?
ju speaks. hey again… this is a long one-ish. two chapters in two days who am i? after this, the next will take me a few (?) but i wanna have something out for what’s my name or tcptg in the meantime! pairing. wnba!paige bueckers x fem!oc. warnings. same old + sexual content-ish.
flashback, april 2019.
the streetlights give me away as i pull up to her driveway, cutting the engine just before i reach her house so i don’t wake her dad. since getting my license (bad call, honestly) we do this more than twice a week. i lean back in the seat, my fingers tapping the steering wheel, waiting for that porch light to blink twice—her signal that she’s sneaking out the door.
and there it is. two quick flashes, and she slips outside, her hoodie pulled up, backpack slung over one shoulder. even in the low light, i can see her outstretched grin as she spots me. i can’t help but grin back.
nailea opens the passenger door, sliding in quietly but still managing to make a mess of everything, her bag knocking into my elbow. “my bad,” she whispers, but she’s laughing, already reaching over to shove the old takeout containers from our drives last week.
she throws me a look as she buckles up, and i’m already bursting into a smile. “paige-freakin’-bueckers, a husky,” she says, smacking my arm repeatedly, grinning like a proud mom. “uconn better know how lucky they are.”
i laugh, shaking my head as i pull out of her driveway. “they better,” i say, smirking, but my heart’s racing just hearing her say it. i committed just today, and she’s the only person who could make this feel more real for me. “took ‘em long enough to get me.”
“you’re gonna be big, p.” she says, leaning back and crossing her arms over her chest, sighing out. “even bigger than now.”
i grip the steering wheel a little tighter, keeping my eyes on the road, but the way she says it—like she’s already seeing me at the top, like she’s imagining everything that comes next—makes it hard to keep my focus. nai has this way of believing in me that feels so solid, so certain. i don’t think anyone else could ever see me the way she does.
“i wish you were coming with me,” i say quietly, almost more to myself.
she glances over at me, her expression softening in a way that almost hurts. “you know i’d be there if it was up to me.” but it wasn’t up to her, her dad was set on red and gold, and i get it. it isn’t just about family legacy, it truly is the best fit for her. her major, her future… and i wish i could fight on that, but i can’t.
i nod, swallowing, but it doesn’t make the feeling go away. i hate it—knowing she won’t be there, knowing i’ll be at uconn, and she’ll be halfway across the country. nai’s smart, she could’ve got a whole scholarship there if she applied, but it wasn’t meant to happen apparently.
“usc’s a top school, nai. you’re lucky. and we play each other a couple times a year, at least,” i add, like i’m convincing myself as much as her. i shoot her a small smile, but she just looks away, fiddling with the zipper on her backpack.
“doesn’t feel lucky,” she murmurs. “feels like the universe is messing with us or something.”
i lick my lips, letting the silence fall for a moment before i say, “tell me again about the dream,” while glancing over at her, because it never gets old, and i’m sure thinking about, talking about it would lighten the mood.
she shifts a little, giving me a quick look before they shoot back to the highway. “the w? or… something else?”
“the w, of course,” i say with a grin, though i know we’re both thinking about more than just that. we’ve been close since freshman year, figuring ourselves out is one way to put it. finding comfort in each other without ever daring to put a name to it. i’d jump at the opportunity if i had it in me. we’ve never talked about what it all means, the time we spend, the closeness, how it’s more than friends, no doubt, even if we don’t say it out loud.
her head lolls against the seat, hair shriveling up behind her, smiling a little now. “alright, so you’ll be running the league, ‘course, and i’ll be right there—scouting, managing, whatever it takes. you know i know more ball than you do,” she teases, and argue, because it’s true.
i laugh, shaking my head. “you know i always say that ‘cause i mean it.”
she rolls her eyes, a playful smirk tugging at the corners of her lips. “whatever.”
i shake my head, but I’m grinning, too, like i always am around her. “nah, i’m serious! you know more ball than all the girls, more than the coaches—even coach cos. you just get it.” i’d bet on nai being right there with me in the league one day, if that’s what she wants. i hope that’s what she’s really wants.
i know what i want. i know what i’ve wanted since i saw her for the first time. i want it all with her, i’ll make sure i get it too.
and maybe it’s selfish, but i’ve already made up my mind. i’ll make nailea mind before we graduate.
present day, may 2025.
it’s late, the kind of late where the building feels oddly empty, the silence thick enough that you can hear every creak and hum. the rest of the staff have been gone for hours, and i’m overworking myself, that’s for sure. my laptop’s blue light glows across the desk, and i’m on my last task, trying to shake the fatigue that settled in about an hour ago. it’s funny, in a way; this job was always part of the plan—a step towards something bigger, even if i didn’t know exactly what.
i’m deep in a report, head rested against my hand, eyes blurring a little as i stare at the screen, when i catch a shadow shifting by the door. i glance up, thinking it’s a security guard here to lock up for the night, but then i see who it is. paige.
my heart jumps, like muscle memory, and i immediately try to school my expression, keep it calm. why is she here? she’s got her hands in the pockets of her joggers, shoulders relaxed in that way that makes it look like she belongs anywhere she wants to be. but she doesn’t. not here, not at this hour, and especially not after what happened between us a few nights ago.
she smiles, one of the smug ones that show throughout her entire face, and i barely move, glancing up as she walks closer. “you really have nothing better to do than follow me around?” i raise an eyebrow as she reaches my desk, leaning over it to try and get a peak at my screen, but i shut it, and she settles back.
“the facility’s a little out your way, no?” i question, tilting my head. definitely out her way. cam had rambled a little too much about paige’s apartment, and i was sure of the exact spot by now.
paige shrugs, poking her lip out as she places her lanyard down, clearly getting comfortable. “sum’ like that. what, i can’t come see you now?”
her words make me squint, because she knows we aren’t on those terms, it’s just her way of steering around it—like she’s trying to navigate a minefield without acknowledging the bombs we’ve both set off. i swallow hard. “it’s a little unprofessional, don’t you think?”
“professional?” she scoffs, folding her arms and leaning against the desk. “last i checked, we’re not in a conference room, nai. just two friends catching up.” her head follows my movements as i begin to pack my things up. paige showing up was probably my cue. i’ve been here too long.
“friends?” i echo, the skepticism clear as i quirk a brow. “that’s rich.”
“then labeling me as some typa’ high school buddy is pretty poor,” she retorts, and i have to scarf down any out of pocket reaction i wanted to shoot at her. “guess so,” i reply.
paige’s expression shifts slightly, and there’s a moment of silence before she speaks up again. “can’t we pretend for a minute?”
i stop what i’m doing, sighing out, but i’m right back on it just as quick. i zip up my work back, leaning on my desk in the same way paige is. i don’t think i was ready to look at her, because for a minute, i’m tempted. i miss this. i miss her. the good parts. but i can’t forget. “you mean, like, before you cheated on me?”
the color drains from her face momentarily, like she didn’t expect me to say it so straight-up, and i realize that she’s probably used to me dancing around things, especially when it came to us. but i’m done dancing, done playing like we aren’t adults.
at least i thought i was. you know, it really was easy until i saw her. and i will be seeing her. everywhere.
“look, i—” she starts, but i cut her off.
“i’m not trying to rehash everything, paige. you’re the one who came here.”
she opens her mouth to respond, but no words come out. i can see her processing, the cockiness slipping from her as she shifts her weight back and forth on her feet, almost like she’s searching for the right words.
“i was working out late, too much on my mind,” she finally says, her voice softer. “you need a ride? how you gettin’ home?”
“my car,” i reply.
“liar.” she accuses. “lemme take you.”
i narrow my eyes at her in suspicion. “you’re so aggy. how do you know that?”
paige licks her lips, biting back a smile too. “maya told me you’ont got your car right now.”
i shift uncomfortably, tearing my eyes off of her and beginning to occupy myself, pulling open drawers and pretending to rummage through papers in a futile attempt to look busy. maya. “i didn’t know you and maya talked like that.”
paige shrugs nonchalantly. “she’s aight.”
i swipe my tongue over my bottom lip. “just alright?”
“she’s good,” she says, and for some reason good sounds even worse than alright, but i shouldn’t be prodding. whatever girl paige decides to involve herself with next shouldn’t concern me.
still, the questions slip uncontrollably, mouth moving faster than my fucking brain. “you two getting close?” i look up at her, jerking my head to the side to move a strand of hair out of my face.
paige seems to just love this, and she sizes me up with her eyes all seductively just then before responding. “would that bother you?”
i freeze for a moment, grappling with the unexpected rush of jealousy. why does it matter? why am i still feeling this way? “i just didn’t expect you to be hanging out with her,” i manage to say, and my voice is steady enough to conceal my thoughts. “seems… unexpected.”
“is it? ‘cause i thought we were both free to do whatever we want,” she says, leaning in slightly, her voice dipping low as if she’s letting me in on a secret. “especially since you’ve made it pretty clear how you feel about me.”
my breath falls short, but i hold up a poker face, and for a minute, we’re both just staring. trying to read into everything maybe, but i know i need to say something before i end up kissing her again.
or worse, bent over this office table.
“you’re right,” i say, perching up as i turn my chair away, getting up in a hurry. i stroll around as paige watches me, curiosity piqued, her eyebrows furrowed in that way i find oddly endearing.
i come up right next to her, and she looks down at me as i grab her keys, dangling them in front of her face. “that means you can take me home without trying anything. touching me.”
ubering this late was probably dangerous anyway, right?
the car ride is uncomfortably quiet, save for paige’s music filling her vehicle. it’s weird, i’ve never felt out of place with paige, but i do now, and it has everything to do with what she did. you know, when i found the texts, the pictures, the videos that still make me sick just thinking about it.
i’ve had time to blame myself. time to wonder if maybe i should’ve seen it coming. when we would argue, go on a break that only lasted for so long. i’d get suspicious, overthink, and then act out in ways i knew would set her off and drive her to say and do things she didn’t mean. they say toxicity is a two way street.
our trust was broken the minute distance became part of the equation. i was right about paige blowing up even more in college, but that only made it harder, made me wonder if this is what i signed up for—if i could handle it. there were some things i couldn’t ignore: her teammates’ livestreams, where i’d catch her in the background with some girl who looked a little bit too much like me, or the one time some random uconn student reached out to me about where where she’d been at, who she’d been with. it was like i was on the outside of the greatest inside joke, miles away, slowly losing my grip.
eventually, she pulls up in front of my apartment complex, the engine humming quietly as she shifts the car into park. i’m unbuckling my seatbelt when paige glances over, catching my eye for a moment, and there’s something there—maybe regret, maybe an apology she’ll never actually say. but whatever it is, it’s gone as quickly as it appeared. she clears her throat, her fingers tapping against the steering wheel to the rhythm of the song playing, like she’s trying to break the silence but doesn’t know how.
“you realize it’s been a month, right?” i break, and paige nearly jolts up at my voice, probably surprised it wasn’t something along the lines of, ‘thank you for the ride, bye.’ “like, we’re not together. so maybe this… maybe we just need to keep our distance.”
paige shakes her head, stubborn as always. “you know i ain’t tryna’ do that.”
i feel a knot tightening in my stomach as i brace myself against the door, wishing it would magically swing open and let me escape. “well do you have a better idea?” the last thing i want is to fall back into the old routine, and if setting some type of boundary is what it takes, i’ll do it. “because that kiss at cam’s was a mistake.”
paige chuckles, and i turn to look at her in attempt to figure out what’s so funny. “a mistake,” she repeats, running a hand down her face, but it isn’t a question. “don’t pull that card, nai. you wanted that shit just as bad as i did.”
my frustration rises. “no, i didn’t.” i’m stern, shaking my head and leaning a little more forward, invading her space. “because i knew you’d act like this.”
“act like what?” paige shoots back, her brows knitting together in anger and something else i can’t really place. i don’t really wanna know. “like i give a shit? you’re the one actin’ like i’m the problem here.”
“hello? you are the fucking problem!” i yell, the words spilling out before i can hold them back. i don’t mean it, i know it’s not only her, but that’s what a load of anger will make you say. “you think you can just charm your way back into my life whenever you feel like it, you get off on hurting me.”
paige’s jaw tightens, and for a moment, i see the hurt flicker across her face before she masks it with defiance. “yeah, well you make it easy,” she shoots back, and i’m taken aback, but i don’t show it. “you keep letting me back in, and then you act all surprised when i don’t just walk away.”
“i didn’t let you in,” i mock, squinting my eyes. “i kissed you ‘cause you fuckin’ begged for it,” i roll my eyes, and paige scoffs, head lolling against the seat.
“oh, and that was the only reason? you wanna play it off like it was some pity kiss? you’re full of shit, nai.” she spits, and i feel the emotion as her voice lowers towards the end.
i can’t help it. “literally fuck you, paige.” the words are clear, harsher than intended, and as we come face to face, inches apart, paige grips my jaw tightly, fingers sprawled out against it, head dropping, and i’m forced to stare at the sleekness of her bun. i’m not surprised as i keep my face tight, almost like i’m resisting without actually pulling away.
“you’re so fuckin’ full of it,” she whispers, breath fanning over my ear, and i wish i had the mental strength to push her off of me.
i shiver at her words, my body betraying me, but i refuse to let her see how much her proximity affects me. “don’t act like this is some game. we’re not—”
she cuts me off, fingers digging in just enough to make it sting, and she leans closer, her lips brushing against my cheek as she murmurs, “say you don’t want me then. just one word, baby. that’s it. and i’ll back off for good.”
a part of me would’ve told her to stop if she didn’t add the last two words. something sounded so final about it, so irrevocable final in a way i didn’t like. because another part of me never wanted to let paige bueckers go. that same part loves her with every fiber, no matter how insufferable she can get.
i open my mouth, the word “stop” right there, but it dies on my lips. instead, my breath hitches, my fingers curl into the fabric of her shirt, and before i know it, i’m leaning into her, pressing my mouth to hers.
she lets out a soft, almost relieved sigh as our lips meet, and whatever walls i had built are as good as none as her arms wrap around me, pulling me closer and over the center console. her kisses weren’t slow, she had no interest in savoring anything, but they were hungry. her hand slides further down my neck, gripping just tight enough to make me whimper.
i feel her fingers slip lower, brushing the edge of my waistband, but i grab her hand, holding it firmly as we keep kissing. “aht,” i mumble against her lips, and she groans softly, her frustration evident.
i bring her hand to settle on my thigh, and she squeezes it, pulling me even closer. “really can’t touch you, ma?” she murmurs through the kiss.
i nod, breathless as i pull back and attach my lips to her jawline, pressing and biting until i leave a mark. “said it,” i whisper, fingers spreading over her shoulder as i caress it. “meant it.”
her lips are parted as she takes me in, resists her hands, and my thoughts become dirtier by the second. everything else falls away for a second, but then her previously low eyes light up, flicking over my shoulder, and she screws her eyes shut, an exasperated sigh escaping her. “fuck, nai,” she mutters under her breath, barely audible. “i gotta go.”
i pull back. “go—what?” i scan her face, eyebrows furrowed. “who texted you?”
she hesitates, glancing to her carplay screen, but whatever message had popped up is already gone. she shakes her head, looking back at me, jaw clenched. “listen,” she says, her hand squeezing my thigh one last time, and i think it puts me in a trance. “if i call, you gon’ answer? need you to tell me you will.”
i bite down on my lip, confusion still stretched across my face, and i’m not sure if it’s just a heat of the moment thing, but i nod like it’s the most obvious answer in the world, even when i know i shouldn’t of.

hi I’m current obsessed with swte universe 😭
would you write a blurb showing us how rafe and the reader dealt with the pregnancy? Specially after finding out it was twins. Like her mood changes and how Rafe dealt with all of that. Oh and if you could also show us about the day the babies were born 🥹🎉
omg thank you so much 🥹 yes of course!! i wrote a little pregnancy blurb and will do the birth story separately 🥰
based on this fic
» au masterlist
rafe is already protective as hell. but when he finds out she’s pregnant, it reaches a new level. he doesn’t even let her try to reach something off of the top shelf in the kitchen.
“i need to be active,” she says to him as he hands her the pan she was trying to grab. “it’s not good for me or the baby if i don’t move around.”
“then take walks,” rafe says, towering over her. “but if you need to reach something, get me.”
“what if you’re not home?”
“then wait for me to get home.”
she rolls her eyes, irritated but mostly endeared that he’s being so careful.
she gets morning sickness. and afternoon sickness. and night sickness. every time she retches in the bathroom and rafe is home to hear it, she comes out to see him standing by the door, a concerned wince on his face and a glass of water in his hand.
“you okay?” he asks.
she just shakes her head no and takes the glass.
when she reaches eight weeks, they go for her first ultrasound. she can tell something’s up when the technician who’s scanning her stomach seems to straighten up a few minutes in, then continues to take photos.
“is everything okay?” she asks nervously.
“yup,” the tech says. a few gruelling minutes pass by before she turns the screen towards her and rafe.
“i just wanted to confirm before telling you,” the tech explains, “i’m detecting two heartbeats. you’re having twins.”
they speechlessly watch the black and grey screen, following the tech’s finger as she points at a faint blinking.
“there’s one…” she says, then moves, “and two.”
“two,” rafe repeats. he’s still wrapping his head around the fact that he just saw his baby’s heartbeat, let alone two. he meets eyes with his girlfriend, both of them astonished.
a smile grows on his face, his warm hand wrapping around hers. but she’s still in shock.
“w-wow,” she stutters. “you’re sure?”
“positive,” the tech replies.
“i guess, um,” she says, “i guess my doctor will talk to me about it, but is there a higher risk of complications?”
all she’s been reading about is general, common, one-baby pregnancy. this is throwing her for a loop.
“it’s different for every woman,” she tells her, “but you’ll probably have more appointments than you expected just because doctors prefer to monitor multiple births closer.”
“okay,” she says. “thank you.”
“i’ll be sending the images to your doctor and she’ll follow up,” she says, handing her a wad of paper towels. “congratulations. i’ll give you some space to clean the gel and you can head out the same way you came in.”
the tech leaves the room. she meets her boyfriend’s eyes, still unable to crack a smile.
“you okay?” rafe asks.
“i’m…” she begins. “i can’t believe this. this whole time, i’ve been picturing… but there’s… there’s two?”
“there’s two,” he says. he can see how anxious she is. “i’ll be with you through it all.”
“i’m gonna get huge,” she says, shaking her head as she wipes the gel off her stomach.
“i hope so,” he replies. “future nba stars in there. they need to be tall.”
“god,” she says. “twins. why’d you do this to me?”
“i’m efficient.”
she meets his eyes, finally smiling.
“i’m glad you’re so happy,” she tells him.
he looks at her with soft eyes. he knows she’s still harboring a fear that rafe will treat their child like she was treated by her father. he’s learned not to take it personally. but even if he did, he’s determined not to stress her out at all through these nine months, so he wouldn’t say anything anyway.
“are you? happy?” he asks. he realizes he’s kind of fearful, too. maybe she’ll just be worried throughout the pregnancy. maybe they will face complications.
“yes,” she breathes. “i just need to shock to wear off first.”
sure enough, the doctor confirms it. she tells them that multiple pregnancies are riskier, but that they’ll monitor her closely.
as she gets heavier, she gets more irritable and demanding. rafe hates himself for it, but he gets frustrated at times, especially when he’s had a long day and comes home to their penthouse condo to see her on the couch, looking like she’s annoyed he’s home.
he never says anything when he’s irritated. but she can read him like a book.
“why are you mad at me?” she snaps, following him into the bedroom one night after he gets home from the gym.
“i didn’t say a word,” rafe mumbles.
“i can see it on your face,” he says. “what, is it because i don’t have dinner waiting? the smell of anything cooking makes me hurl, you know.”
“i know,” he says, throwing his gym clothes in the hamper. “i’m not mad.”
“can’t you look at me?”
rafe sighs and turns to look at her, her belly round and protruding under her shirt.
“you’re not even happy to be home,” she says, her hands on her hips.
“i am,” he says. “i’m just tired.”
“and i’m not? i have not one, but two things draining me of everything in me every second of every day. i don’t get any breaks. i can’t sleep.”
“i know,” he breathes. “i’m sorry. did you eat?”
“you think i’m stupid enough to be skipping meals? i’m nourishing them,” she says, touching her stomach. “don’t worry about that.”
“i meant…” rafe scratches the back of his neck. he refuses to lose his temper on her when she’s in this state; especially because she’s suffering for both of them. “for you. did you eat?”
“yes,” she says, her hard expression faltering a bit.
“can i get you anything? you have any cravings?”
“not right now,” she replies.
he nods and turns to finish emptying his gym bag.
“i’m making a protein shake soon. you want one, too?” he asks, his back to her.
she sighs, tears welling up in her eyes, and steps forward, putting her arms around him, her stomach pushing against his lower back.
“i’m sorry i’m such a bitch,” she mumbles, sniffling.
“don’t say that. you’re not a bitch,” he says. he’s used to her mood swings by now, but she usually just goes from indifferent to angry and back. she hasn’t cried in a while.
“i can see myself being crazy but i can’t stop,” she admits. “and i’m nervous about tomorrow. i hope they’re doing okay. i still haven’t felt them move.”
her twenty-week ultrasound is tomorrow. they’ll be finding out the twins’ genders.
rafe turns and plants a slow, gentle kiss on her forehead. he exhales slowly as she shudders with her cries.
“they’re doing great,” he says. “all the appointments and check-ups have been good. and whatever they end up being, we’ll love them.”
“you’re right.” she sighs and tilts her chin to kiss him. she hates that she can’t remember the last time they kissed. she feels like all she’s been doing lately is whining and puking.
“how are you?” she asks.
“good.”
“how are you really?”
“i can’t complain.” he puts a hand on her belly. “i’m not the one with two things draining me every second of every day.”
“you’re allowed to be tired, too,” she says. “i’m sorry.”
“it’s all good, baby,” he says. “let’s watch something and pass out on the couch.”
“deal.”
the next day, they learn that she’s carrying a boy and a girl. rafe can’t believe how lucky he is.
when he falls asleep next to his girlfriend that night, curled up behind her, his hand on her belly, he feels a light, almost imperceptible movement on his palm.
“oh, my god,” she whispers into the dark. “did you feel that?”
“was that…?”
“it was,” she says, choking up. “one of them saying hi.”
rafe shuffles closer and kisses her neck a hundred times, gently rubbing her tummy. he still can’t get the way they looked on the ultrasound screen out of his head. he can’t fully comprehend that this is really happening, that this is his life, playing professionally and expecting babies with the only girl he’s ever loved.
he can take her mood swings. he can take her any way. as long as she’s with him.
a few days later, she suggests rafe go on a trip with his friends since it’s the off season. he asks her why and she tells him “so you get a break from me.”
rafe chuckles and kisses her before he tells her, “i don’t need a break from my best friend. what’d i tell you? you won’t do any of this alone.”
by the third trimester, she’s heavy and uncomfortable, but she’s not throwing up anymore. her mood swings are more manageable. at this point, she’s scared for the delivery, fully aware that babies can always come early, especially twins, but she’s excited to finally meet them.
and every chance he gets, rafe kisses her forehead, then gives two kisses to her stomach, telling his son and his daughter that he loves them.
she’s amazed at this side of him. she already knew beneath his aggressive, temperamental exterior was a fiercely protective man with a big heart. but the way he’s been treating her, even when she’s been so difficult and unreasonable, is astonishing.
and she can’t wait to see him as a father. she realizes now that she has no doubt that he’ll always make their children feel loved.

Hey girl, would you be able to do a request with Melissa? So yk how in that one episode where Melissa has to go to court for throwing a corn cob at Ben Simmons? Would you be able to just do some fluff on how when Melissa is in court she needs a lawyer, but since she’s a teacher, she doesn’t have any money, but knows a guy who gets a lawyer for her, which is our reader fresh outta law school. Melissa would find them cute and want to ask her out, but eventually after Melissa is declared ‘not guilty’ she decides to ask them out as a thank you.
Ok, this is crazy because when you sent the prompt, it was the day after I rewatched that episode. I honestly thought this line was crazy and I like how Jacob was not even fazed when she said it lol. Not edited in the slightest and I hope you like it!
On another note: I think I got 7 Melissa prompts and one Chessy prompt, so they’re coming!
Guilty Or Not Guilty
Warnings: sexual tension, fluff, reference to future smut
Words: 2k
Tumblr media
“Ah, all dressed up for your big dip in the shark tank today?” Jacob asks Melissa.
“What? No. I gotta go to court later for throwing a corn cob at Ben Simmons.” Melissa says to Jacob.
“Wait so, you’re not gonna make a presentation?” Jacob says, completely ignoring the fact that she might have thrown a corn cob at someone.
*lunch time*
“Vinny, I need you to find me a lawyer for later today.” Melissa says to her cousin Vinny.
“What did you do this time?” He asks her.
“None your business. I just need a lawyer, can you get me one?” She asks him and he takes a second to reply.
“I know one, she recently graduated from law school and is looking for cases to do for a small price. I can pay this one for ya since you’re my favourite cousin.” He tells her.
“Alright, thanks Vinny. I’ll make your favourite dish as a thanks.” She says then hangs up.
Later that day…
You walk out of your car an hour before your client has to plead her case. You were told to meet her outside the courthouse, all you were told was that she’s a ginger and her name is Melissa Schemmenti.
You walk near the front entrance of the courthouse and you see a ginger woman standing around on her phone with her glasses perched on her nose. She looks stunning. Not the time to check her out, gotta be professional, she’s your client after all.’ You think to yourself. You walk up to her and she doesn’t see you coming as she’s too focused on her phone.
“Hi, are you Melissa?” You say as you reach her and she flinches. “Oh sorry, didn’t mean to scare you. I’m your lawyer y/n y/l/n” You add.
She stares at you for a second before smiling and holding out her hand to shake and you shake her hand, it feels so soft.
“Hi, yes I’m Melissa.” She says. Melissa was surprised that her lawyer would look really cute, so much so that she forgot how to speak for a second, or that she was still holding your hand.
You look at her emerald green eyes, beautiful ginger locks and her bright smile. You then remember you’re still holding her hand so you let go and clear your throat.
“So I heard nothing about this case or why you’re here. Wanna tell me?” You ask her and you see a small blush on her cheeks.
“Well it’s for throwing a corn cob at Ben Simmons.” She says and you can’t help but giggle at that.
“For throwing a corn cob at someone?” You say, trying to hold back more laughter and she nods. “Well I must say, I did not expect that.” You tell her and she chuckles.
“Well I’m full of surprises.” She tells you with a shy smile.
You both then find a picnic table to sit at and you get to work. Melissa keeps checking you out as you work on her case. The way you’re so focused on writing down the information you need to prove her innocence, the way you bite your lip when you’re thinking. You look so adorable and she can’t help but think about asking you out.
“What?” You ask her as you notice her staring.
“Noth-nothing, just a bit nervous.” She says, covering up the fact that she was checking you out.
“Well you can be a bit nervous but I think you’re gonna win.” You tell her with a smile.
“You think so?” She asks and you nod, you then write something down and then speak up again.
“Ok, I think I have all I need to, it’s also time to go in.” You tell her and she nods.
You both walk into the courthouse and then the courtroom together and you take a seat in the audience until Melissa gets called.
“Melissa Schemmenti and Ben Simmons.” The judge calls, both you and Melissa stand up and walk where the two desks are. You and Melissa take a seat at the one on the left while Ben Simmons and his lawyer took the one on the right. “Melissa Schemmenti you are being charged with the throwing of… a corn cob at the head of Ben Simmons, guilty or not guilty?”
“Not guilty, your honour.” Melissa says confidently.
It took about 10 minutes and the fact there was no evidence that the judge ruled that Melissa was, in fact, not guilty. Melissa got excited that she won and without thinking, gave you a hug to which you were surprised by it but hugged her back after a second. The hug was nice, you won’t lie and you can feel her tits being pushed into yours and it made your mind go to places that you shouldn’t be thinking about right now. Melissa pulled away from you after a few seconds with a guilty expression on her face.
“Sorry, I um, I should have asked before I hugged you.” She tells you and you smile at her.
“It’s alright, you were excited, I get it. And to be honest, I liked the hug.” You tell her and you see a small blush on her cheeks.
You and Melissa walk out to the parking lot and it seems that she wants to walk with you to your car.
“I wanted to thank you, for taking my case on such short notice without any sort of information on what it’s about, and for winning too.” She tells you and you blush a bit.
“It’s not a problem Melissa, I enjoyed your case.” You tell her as you reach your car. You put your suitcase in your car and then you turn to look at her. “Well if anyone else says that you throw corn cobs at them then I might see you around.” You joke with her and she laughs.
“Or maybe I could see you around tonight, for dinner?” She asks and you tilt your head at her.
“Melissa, are you asking me on a date?” You ask her with a small smile.
“If I were, would that be a yes?” She cautiously asks and you nod. “Then yes, I’m asking you on a date.” She states proudly and you beam at her.
“Out of curiosity, what would you have said if I said no?” You ask her and she thinks for a second.
“That it would just be a thank you for winning the case.” She says and you chuckle. “Wanna give me your number so we can plan the date in better detail?” She adds on as she gets her phone out.
You exchange numbers and then you get in your car to go home to get ready for the date. She decided to have the date at her house as she claims she’s the best damn cook in all of south Philly, with the exception of a few family members. You get changed into a nice purple dress with black tights, do your makeup and then head off to the address she texted you.
“Wow, you look beautiful hon.” She tells you with a big smile as soon as she opens the door.
“So do you. Red and green seem to be made for you.” You tell her and she tilts her head at you. “You wore green today and it suited you, as well as this red dress.” You explain and she blushes.
“You were looking at my top today?” She questions and you nod. “Did you happen to notice that it was a low cut top too?” She questions further and you feel your cheeks heat up as you nervously nod again. “I didn’t know you had time to look at my top today when you were so busy looking at my tits. She teases you and your cheeks are redder than her hair at this point. “You’re adorable when you blush like that.” She teases you further and you then clear your throat and look around her house, trying to avoid further embarrassment. She giggles at your attempt and then she spins you around to face her and kisses you. You kiss her back after the shock wears off and it was one of the best kisses of your life. She pulled away after a few seconds which was too short for you. She giggled when you tried to kiss her and she put her hand on your chest. “Believe me, I love kissing you too. But if we continue then I won’t want to stop and there’s food ready.” She tells you and you whine.
“You shouldn’t have kissed me then. That’s all I’ll be thinking about now.” You tell her with a pout. She leans in close to your ear.
“When you get a taste of my food then you’ll forget about it for a bit.” She leans back, winks at you and then walks to the kitchen with a smirk. You follow after her and she’s putting food on a plate for you.
“You know now that the case is over, I have one question.” You ask her and she looks at you confused.
“What’s the question?”
“Why did you throw a corn cob at him?” You ask her and she chuckles.
“I guess you saw through my lie then.” She states and you nod your head. “He was insulting Italians so of course I had to take action. I just threw at him whatever I was eating and it was a corn cob.” She explains and you start laughing.
“You’re really a wonder Melissa Schemmenti.” You tell her and she laughs as she hands a plate to you. You both walk over to the dining table and sit down to eat. You take a first bite and it’s like a flavour bomb exploded in your mouth and you let out a small moan. You look over to see Melissa smirking at you and you quirk an eyebrow at her. “What?”
“Just wondering of all the other ways I can make you moan.” She says like it’s an obvious thing. You blush at her comment but then you want to tease her back.
“Maybe you’ll find out.” You tell her with a smile and she blushes and goes to take a bite of her own food.
You rub your foot up her leg and she begins coughing as she was taking a bite. She takes a sip of her water and then when she stops, you continue to rub your foot up her leg. She looks at you and you’re smirking at her.
“You’re not the only one who knows how to tease.” You tell her as you take a bite of food. She smiles at you before she gets up, walks over to you, puts her hand at the back of your head, leans forward and kisses you. She doesn’t pull back this time, instead she deepens the kiss by sliding her tongue in your mouth. She tastes you for the first time and she’s already wanting more. You stand up, while not breaking away from the kiss, and you put your hands on her waist. You pull back after a few more seconds and she whines. “We should continue our dinner before we do anything else.” You tell her. She looks at the food then looks at you with your kiss swollen lips.
“Dinner can wait.” She says then surges forward to kiss you again. She kisses you with so much force that you walk backwards until you hit the wall and she pins you against it. “Do you want to continue?” She asks you as she pulls back. “If we continue then I’ll want to go all the way.” She tells you, asking for consent.
“I don’t want to stop kissing you.” You tell her and she smiles. She then takes your hand and brings you to her bedroom.

WYD NOW? — JACK HUGHES
jack hughes x fem!singer!reader
summary: in which y/n writes a song about her ex-boyfriend, 3 years after their breakup, and it gets back to him, leading to their reconnection
notes: inspired by the song WYD Now? by Sadie Jean. ending kinda sucks, but ehh i did my best. pretty sure i lost motivation for this halfway through it, but i tried to power through.

*** JUNE 17TH, 2018 ***
“i bet, at this time in a few years, we’ll be painting the walls of our shared apartment.” my boyfriend’s whisper rings through my ears as i turn my head to look at him.
heat rises to my cheeks, Jack’s blue eyes gazing into mine.
“yeah?” i laugh, running a hand through his hair, still damp from the shower he took before coming over.
“mhm.” he hums in confirmation, his hand snaking up under the stolen shirt that adorns my body, gripping my waist and pulling me closer. “i’ll be playing hockey, and you’ll be a big pop star, my little songbird.”
i bury my face into his neck in attempt to hide the redness on the apples of my cheeks from the nickname.
“you gonna write songs about me?” he whispers, pressing a kiss against the side of my head.
“i already do.” i murmur, my lips brushing against his collarbone, causing him to shiver.
*** JULY 30TH, 2019 ***
“i don’t think i understand.” it feels like my head is underwater, my lungs burning for oxygen, but unable to receive it.
“we can still be friends, y/n. you can call me whenever.” Jack sits on my bed, gripping my hands in his hold. “the future is just, so far away and we don’t know what’ll happen.
“i don’t want my dreams to hold you back from achieving yours, y/n. you may not see it right now, but this just seems like the best option for now. and maybe, down the line, once we’re both at a stable place in our careers, if we’re both single, we can revisit us.”
my head is bobbing ‘yes’ but my heart is screaming ‘no!’
it’s like my brain understands where he’s coming from, that he’s being logical and that he’s doing this for the greater good of both of us; no matter what we’ve always thought, we’re still just kids, we were dreaming. but my heart isn’t getting that message. all my heart knows is that it’s being crushed into a thousand pieces and it feels pretty unsalvageable right now.
“are you okay?”
it’s my instinct to tell him ‘yes’. my instinct to not let him know how much he’s really hurting me. how much i want to scream that we’ll be fine. that i would give up my dream to be by his side while he accomplishes his. but i know that would just hurt him; because that isn’t what he wants.
he may be hurting me, but he’s doing it for all the right reasons. he doesn’t want me to push my dreams aside for his, because he wants to see me living them. he wants the best for me.
“yeah, i’m okay. i understand.”

user28 if the song isn’t fictional, then who’s it about?
user96 it’s 100% about jack hughes. if you scroll way down on her page, there’s pics of her and jack in high school, but they stop when they were 18. then he moved to new jersey and now he’s playing hockey, like the song states “you finally got the job you like”. that we’re all aware of, she didn’t have any other boyfriends in high school. she and jack seemingly dated from ages 16-18 until he left for the NHL

*** PRESENT: REAL LIFE ***
my heart races as the notification comes through.
i wasn’t sure if he listened to my music, or if the song would get back to him. i just needed to get my feelings down on paper, and then it turned into a song, and then i liked it too much to not release it.
the night i wrote it, i had played a small show in New York, and i could’ve sworn i saw him in the back of the venue. of course, i knew it wasn’t, but it had rattled me; bringing all my feelings for him back to the forefront of my brain.
“call him.” my head snaps up to face my best friend, her eyes soft as she looks at me from the doorway.
“i-” Tate cuts me off with a shake of her head.
“don’t make excuses, y/n. call him.” she repeats, “you deserve to be happy, and from what you’ve told me, he makes you happy.”
she doesn’t stick around; instead bidding me goodbye and heading back to my guest room to give me some privacy.
i pace my bedroom, iphone clutched in my hand. his contact is pulled up, but i can’t seem to build up the nerve to call him. though, it seems i don’t have to, because my phone begins to ring instead, Jack’s photo displaying on the screen.
“hi.” i breathe out, pressing the phone to my ear.
“hi.” he repeats. “i heard your new song. i’m so proud of you, my little songbird.”
my face heats up, blood rushing to my cheeks. i haven’t heard that nickname in almost four years.
“thank you.” my words come out a whisper, still in disbelief that i’m talking to him again.
“did you mean it?” the question causes a panic to erupt in me, swarms of butterflies erupting in my nervous system.
“did i mean what, Jacky?” i need him to say it.
“what you wrote,” he clears his throat, “in the song. did you mean it all? do you still think of me? do you really wanna try again?”
laying sprawled out on my bed, i stare up at the ceiling as i speak.
“i wouldn’t have written it if it wasn’t true.”
“oh- okay. so, uh,” he stutters, but i can hear the smile on his lips, causing the same reaction upon my own face, “where are you right now?”
“um, my apartment?” my brows thread together in confusion, but he just chuckles.
“i mean like, are you living in LA? are you home in Michigan? what state?”
“oh.” i bite my lip, squeezing my eyes shut in embarrassment. “i live in New York, Jack.”
“really?” his voice is emotionally distant and seemingly hurt. “so close?”
“yeah.” i nod, although he can’t see me. “i’ve gone to a few of your games.”
“you did?”
“mhm.” i hum in confirmation. “i just- i didn’t wanna be the one to reach out and then have you think oddly of me or have you already be in a relationship or something. i’m sorry i didn’t tell you, i just didn’t wanna be seen as that clingy ex-girlfriend or anything.”
“that’s not what you are, y/n.” he sighs, “would you wanna meet up soon? catch up? i’d love to hear about your glamorous new pop star life.”
“i’d love to. although, i wouldn’t call myself a pop star, Jacky.”
“you are to me.” i blush at his words, glad he can’t see how much of a mess i am at the moment. “are you free on saturday? i have practice in the morning, but after that, maybe we could go to lunch?”
“yeah, i can do that.” i confirm.
“okay great, i’ll text you on friday to hash out details?”
“sounds great!” my cool hand rises to press against my heated face in attempt to cool myself down.
“great. i gotta go, Luke and i are going out with the guys. i’ll talk to you soon, yeah?”
“yeah. bye, Jack.” i wait for him to repeat a goodbye before hanging up, burying face in my pillow and letting out a muffled scream.
***
my knee bounces underneath the table of the New York City diner, my hands clasped together on the table.
Jack should be here any minute, and saying i’m nervous would be an understatement. my palms are clammy, my legs won’t stop shaking, and i’m eighty percent sure that i have no skin left on my bottom lip because i’ve chewed it all off.
the little bell above the door rings and my head snaps up to look, but it’s just a young couple with their toddler. i send a friendly smile to the tired looking mother before looking back down at my hands that won’t stop fidgeting.
i zone out, retreating back into my head and all the thoughts that have been plaguing me since we planned this meeting.
what if he doesn’t like me anymore?
what if he has a girlfriend and he’s just trying to be nice?
or worse, what if he’s just asked me here so he could tell me to leave him alone? to stop writing songs about him.
“hi.” i’m pulled out of my thoughts by Jack sliding into the booth across from me, a gentle smile on his face.
his hand snakes across the table to hold mine, and i can’t help but feel like a teenager again, back when we used to have dates like this all the time; where he would hold my hand over the table and we would laugh and joke around for hours.
“hey.” i smile back, giving his hand a small squeeze in return.
“how are you?” he questions. he brings his hand back in order to hold his menu, but his focus remains on me, not even glancing down at the menu yet.
“i’m good!” i nod. “how are you?”
“good, i’m glad. i’m good too.”
we’re interrupted by a waitress, taking a second to look over our menu’s before giving her our orders.
once she retreats, i squirm from the small talk, never having been any good at it. which Jack seems to remember.
“so, how’s the pop star life?” he smirks teasingly, and i giggle.
“not a pop star.” i remind him, shaking my head. “but it’s good. i like where i’m at right now in my career. i like having a strong fanbase but still being unknown enough that i’m not being hounded on or followed like, say, Taylor Swift.
“i’m able to just write my music and put it out, go on small tours, interact with my fans on a more personal level; it’s really nice. i don’t know if i would want it to be more than that.”
he nods in understanding, a wide grin on his face as he listens.
“i get it. and i’m really glad you’ve achieved what you wanted. i’ve always rooted for you.”
“what about you? mr. ninety-nine point season!” he blushes at my words, shaking his head and looking down at his hands, which rest on the tabletop. “how’s that?”
“it’s good! really good.” he looks back up at me, and i have to fight myself from getting lost in his eyes like i would when we were seventeen. “i love it. it’s hard, it’s a lot of work, but it’s amazing. and honestly, i’m pretty glad i’m not on a canadian team. i like that i can go out and still have a pretty normal life outside of hockey, ya know? not be stopped on the street a bunch.”
“yeah, i get it.” i tell him. “i’m so glad you’re happy though. you play great, as you always have.”
he releases a ‘thanks’ before a silence settles over us, neither of us sure what exactly to say next.
i begin to play with the paper wrapper from my straw, winding it around my finger before sliding it off and gently pulling it straight again.
“so, Cole sends me your songs.”
snap! the paper wrapper breaks in two as i look up at him.
“he does?”
“yeah. you know i don’t get on social media too much, so i don’t always know right away when you put one out, but Cole sends me all of them. just in case i miss one.” he explains.
my head bobs up and down as i try to display a level of cool, “oh.”
“that doesn’t bother you, does it?” he asks. “that i don’t always listen to them right away?”
“not at all! i didn’t really think you listened to them at all.” i confess, sinking lower into the booth. “not really your genre.”
he smiles gently, reaching forward to hold my hand tightly in his.
“y/n, you could write a children’s nursery rhyme, and i would still listen to it.”
my head tips back against the booth, joyous laughter spilling from my lips. my nose scrunches, resulting in a small snort, which cause him to laugh as well.
“you’re just saying that.” i choke out, and he shakes his head.
“no! i’m serious! i would!” Jack insists, right as the waitress arrives with our food. she sets our food in front of us, making sure we’re all set before she retreats.
a comfortable small talk takes over as we eat; discussing our friends and their accomplishments since graduation.
“you remember that time,” Jack starts through broken laughter, “that you hit Cole with your car because he said he didn’t think it would hurt?”
“yes! and i barely even tapped him, but the big baby whined that it hurt so bad, i may have crushed his NHL dreams!” my face hurts from smiling so big, but i can no longer fight it.
“and then he was fine and back to practice that afternoon! not even a bruise left on him!” he retorts.
“ever the dramatic, Cole is.” i sigh, sitting back in my seat from position slouched over the table.
“since we’re walking down memory lane, do you remember how i said that maybe down the line, we could revisit us?”
i’m sobered up now, my smile gone as i eye him. he’s playing with his bracelets, a sign of nerves from him, and i just now realize that he’s still wearing the string friendship bracelet i gave him at eighteen; just before his draft.
i swallow the lump that built in throat, nodding, “yeah.”
“you think maybe now would be a good time to do that?” he asks. “start slow; go on dates again, maybe you could come over sometime for movie night with Luke and i, come to a few more of my games, where i actually know you’re there this time. and then see where that could take us?”
butterflies swarm my stomach, my heart beating rapidly in my chest, and my teeth sink into my lower lip, biting back a smile.
“i’d love that, Jack.”

Saturday, September 21st, 1985
The ever so alluring smell of bacon and pancakes invades your senses, stirring you from your slumber. You rub your eyes as you look at the clock on the bedside table. 10:35 am. You slept in, though you can’t say you’re surprised. After the day you had, you must’ve really needed it. You roll out of Steve’s spare bed, making sure to re-make it before you venture down the stairs.
The smell intensifies with each step down the stairs and into the kitchen, spotting the stack of pancakes and bacon waiting to be picked. Steve is pouring a cup of coffee, eyeing you as you grab a plate and start loading it up.
“Morning, sleepy head”
“Morning, haircut” you respond, taking a quick bite of bacon. Groaning softly in pleasure, “You know, Steve. If you don’t figure out what you wanna do for a career, I think you’d make a great little housewife.” You smirk to yourself as you pour syrup onto your plate. Steve scoffs out a laugh.
“Yeah, I’ll get right on that. Know any takers?” You laugh with him before you catch a glimpse of Robin sitting on the couch, eating her own plate.
“Oh, hell yes.” you say excitedly when you see and hear Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? playing on the TV. You quickly scurry over to join Robin on the couch with your own plate. Steve joins soon after, all leisurely eating your brunch and watching Saturday morning cartoons. After you’ve all finished your plates and are relaxing before eventually having to get ready for your work shifts, Steve speaks up.
“So, we gonna talk about what happened yesterday?”
You look between him and Robin, confused. You quirk an eyebrow up at him.
“Uh, what happened yesterday? What do you mean?”
“I mean, something happened yesterday, didn’t it? You seemed a bit…off.”
Goddamnit. If Dustin hadn't learned it from you, you're now sure he learned his ability to read people so well from Mr. Steven Harrington too.
“Did you talk to Eddie?” Robin asks softly.
You sigh, crossing your arms over your stomach.
“I mean, you don’t have to tell us anything. But if you want to, you know we’re here. I’m also just really nosey.” Steve adds, causing a smirk to tug at your lips before you take a deep breath.
“Yeah. I talked to him. Ran into him after lunch, literally. And uh, let’s just say it did not go well. He kinda flipped out on me. But, I kinda deserved it. Aaand, I kinda slapped him. But, he kinda deserved it.” You let yourself laugh a little, taking in their surprised faces.
“So yeah, based on that I don’t think we’ll be friends again anytime soon. At least I can say I tried.” You finish with a shrug.
Robin reaches out and rubs your arm soothingly as Steve looks at you with sympathy and in thought.
“I’m sorry, Y/N” he sighs, “Maybe just give things some time to cool down, I’m sure he’ll come back around.” He gives you a soft, crooked smile.
“Yeah, maybe. And if not, I’m sure I’ll be okay.” you say, more to yourself than to them.
You pull into your driveway an hour later. You sit there, finishing your cigarette as your eyes linger on the now familiar van across the street through your rear-view mirror. You look longer than you’d like, finally tearing your eyes away to throw out your cig. Cutting off the sounds of Black Sabbath as you turn off the ignition.
You slowly shuffle your way to the mailbox at the end of your driveway. Flipping through the spam and advertisements when you hear a familiar sound, a skateboard. Your eyes follow the sound, a figure shaded by the sun. You know who it is. If it wasn’t for the skateboard, it’s the flaming aura around her head under the sunlight. A big smile stretches across your face, leaning against your mailbox as she rides closer into view. When she’s close enough to see your face, her eyes widen and she nearly stumbles off her skateboard, eliciting a giggle from you. She stares at you for a second as she comes to a stop, sliding her headphones down to her neck.
“Hey, you.” you say cheerfully.
In a second, she’s running to you, wrapping you in a tight embrace. You feel the shakiness as she inhales a deep breath.
“I’ve been looking all over for you, the ever elusive Red.” You smile as you return the hug, briefly rubbing her back before she pulls back to look at you.
“W-How?” She looks toward your trailer, “You moved back?!”
“Yep, just this past week. I tried keeping an eye out for you at school, then Dustin told me you moved here. Knew I’d catch you eventually.”
Her smile falters ever so slightly at the mention of Dustin.
“Oh, yeah. I mean, it’s a piece of shit but it’s a roof over our heads I guess.” You nod in agreement, pondering how to approach her. If she’s been avoiding the party, you worry one wrong move will send her running away from you too. You decide to go the easy route, knowing you might not get a truthful answer right away.
“You and mom doing okay?”
“Yeah. She’s either working or drinking most of the time, so” she shrugs nonchalantly, a move you see right through. “But I can take care of myself just fine anyway”.
“Well, if you ever get bored entertaining yourself, just come and give a knock, okay? I gotta get going for work here soon, but maybe we can go out to the drive-in or something soon?”
A small smile tugs at her lips as she nods lightly.
“Yeah, maybe.”
“Oh, and you know. If you ever need a ride, I’m already giving the knuckleheads rides home after school and since we’re neighbors, I can just stick them all in the bed and give you passenger seat privileges.” You ramble before noticing the way she begins to awkwardly sway at the suggestion. “Or ya know, I can just kick them to the curb and save myself some gas with just you.” You quickly offer. She forces a small laugh before shaking her head.
“No, that’s okay. It gives me more time to skate anyway.”
Great, I’ve already messed this up. Just add it to the list…
“Alright, well the offer’s on the table anytime. For anything.” You insist, giving her an out to the conversation as you begin to move back toward your driveway. She only nods in response, before putting her skateboard in place to ride again.
“See you later, Red.” You wave before heading into your trailer to get ready for work.
During the slower phases of the work day, your mind drifts to worries of Max. How she’s really doing, how you should approach her, how to get her to open up to you. It’s a welcomed distraction considering the other places, or people, your mind would be wandering to otherwise. You and Max had gotten fairly close over the summer, you gave her opportunities with and outside of the party to get away from home, from her asshole step-brother. Being the only other girl and older, she often confided in you. Whether it was about her brother, her relationship with Lucas, or the struggles of girlhood, you were there for her.
Since Billy’s sacrifice to save her from the mall fire and his resulting death, she’s closed off. Isolating from everyone close to her. That happened to be something you’re familiar with. Something that helps you to understand her, something you can use. You know you need to take it slow though. Based on her initial reaction to seeing you, you know she's missed you, and know that connection is still there. There’s just some walls you need to chisel down first.
Take it slow.
That connection is still there.
Just some walls you need to chisel down first…
Those dark curls… chocolate button eyes… cutest fucking dimples you’ve ever seen in your life.
You close your eyes and take a deep breath, frustrated with your brain and your heart. Both deeply longing for him… before the shock of pain with the memory of his words hits you.
Just let it go. Move on. He’s not your Eddie anymore.
~
It was bothering Eddie more than he’d ever admit, even to himself. You. Thoughts of you swimming around his head with every emotion he could think of, was bothering him.
After your argument, he felt a bit of relief. To finally say the words he’d been carrying with him these last few years to you. To finally release the anger and pain out onto you. It felt like a weight off his shoulders in the moment. What he hadn’t been expecting was for you to match it, taking the pain and anger you felt in response, right back out and onto him.
This whole past week you’ve been back has thrown him off. More distracted than usual. More reactive. More irritable. The other boys in Hellfire noticed, taking extra effort to not poke the bull.
Your argument and slap left him even more distracted and off-balance. You’d thrown him off his game for Hellfire for christ’s sake. Forgetting details for the campaign that he’d otherwise would’ve had memorized, left him referencing his notes. He didn’t exude his usual dungeon master playfulness, animated voice and facial expressions coming out muted. Everyone noticed. Eddie’s own off-balanced performance reflected in his players. Nothing had ever distracted him so much to the point of interfering with Hellfire campaigns. The way Henderson eyed him suspiciously throughout the night almost set him off completely, again. He’d ended the campaign a little early, offering a brief apology and a quick lie to write off his abnormal performance on. He’d spent the rest of the night getting as drunk and high as he could in his bedroom until he passed out.
Saturday isn’t going much differently for him. Sitting in his bed with a joint in his mouth as his fingers mindlessly strum his guitar, thinking of you. The anger he felt yesterday is now replaced with guilt. A guilt that sits and churns in his stomach, teetering on the edge of nausea. Maybe that was just the hangover, or maybe it’s from the way he can’t get the image of your tear-streaked face out of his head. Tears caused by him.
You deserved to hear how much you hurt him. Be faced with the consequences of your actions. You deserved that. But as he remembers the look in your eyes yesterday, the way you flinched, the way he caused a side of you you rarely show to come out… he knows you didn’t deserve that. He scolds himself for letting his emotions get the best of him, letting them get out of his control. You hurt him, that didn’t make it right for him to hurt you back. It didn’t even make him feel good. Maybe very briefly in the moment, just to release what he’d been holding in for so long, but it left as quickly as it came.
He sighs as he moves the guitar off his lap, putting out his joint in the ashtray before rubbing his hands over his face, staring up at the ceiling.
He can’t hold on to this anger anymore, he knows it’s not healthy and is only hurting him more. But he can’t blame himself too much for wanting to, it’s one of the ways he’s protected himself in the past. Protected him from getting hurt. You knew that about him. The way he held onto anger at his dad, people in Hawkins, not wanting to waver and give either the chance to hurt him more. You knew almost everything about him, more about him than he’d ever willingly shared with anyone. That’s why what you did hurt him so deeply, and why he wanted to hurt you just as much. And feels like utter shit for it.
Hey, you!
His eyes dart to his window as his brain immediately recognizes your voice. He peeks out to see you interacting with a younger girl he’d seen skateboarding around in the neighborhood and at school. His heart begins to ache watching you, watching you embrace the girl, watching the way you smile at her and ramble.
God, does he miss it. Misses the way you’d ramble and rant about something you’re passionate about, the way you’d cackle and smile when he’d do the stupidest thing he could think of just so he could see it. Misses the way your warm, plump body feels against him when you’d hug or lean your head on his shoulder.
He sighs watching you wave goodbye to the girl and walk inside your trailer.
Maybe he could give you another chance. Now that he’s not so overcome with anger, maybe he’d be able to hear you out. Not overpower you so much with his anger that you can actually have a real chance to explain yourself.
Maybe.

Some things have changed since your fight with Eddie on Friday. Flipped, really. Your eyes no longer sought him out. You do your best to avoid looking at him whether it was in the halls or in your shared classes. Knowing the sight of him would only bring back that sting in your chest.
Eddie on the other hand, couldn’t tear his eyes away from you whenever you’re in his sight. Watching you in regret, longing, confusion, hurt, all twisted into one. Eddie’s confident in himself most of the time, except for in a few areas. This situation with you and how to handle it moving forward is one of the latter. It’s a big fucking mess he isn’t sure how to fix. He knows with the way things went on Friday after you made the first move to talk to him, that it had to be him this time to try to make things right.
You take your time walking down the quiet halls before the end of the lunch period, hearing the distant, muffled chatter from the lunchroom. You open your locker, putting away your books from your morning classes, switching them out with your afternoon ones. Just as you finish putting the last book in your bag, your locker slams shut in front of you, causing your head to whip toward the culprit you didn’t notice come up next to you till now.
“You’ve got a smart mouth on you, don’t you piggy?” Jason seethes out, hand pressed against your now closed locker door. Your smirk at him as you lean against it.
“So I’ve been told.”
“Yeah, well I don’t know who the hell you think you are or who you think you're talking to bu-”
“You know, I remember you from years ago. The last time I lived here.” You interrupt before looking him up and down, “Jason Carver. Back then you were just a scrawny guy, trailing behind the older jocks, carrying that ever so fragile ego in tow with theirs.” You look back up to meet his eyes, brows furrowed above them. “I see you’ve grown a few inches, even bulked up a bit. Looks like that’s about all that’s changed, though.” You watch as he processes your words, your insult.
“You fat fucking bitch” He says through gritted teeth, face turning red.
“Oh come on, Carver. Don’t you have anything fresher than that?” you say flatly, cocking an eyebrow at him. You watch as his body tenses up.
“Looks like I need to teach you and that smart mouth a lesson” He says, taking a step closer to you. You don’t move an inch, refusing to give him the satisfaction of getting a reaction out of you.
“Oh no. What are you gonna do?!” You say sarcastically. “You don’t scare me, Carver.”
You watch as a vein protrudes from his forehead, face turning a deeper red.
It all happens so quickly. One of his arms pulls back, raising in the air in the motion to slap you, but it doesn’t come. Curly dark hair appears behind him, before Jason’s thrown flat on his ass in front of you.
Eddie had been outside smoking before lunch ended. On his way back into the school, he spots you and Jason. He slows his steps, listening in on the quickly escalating conversation. You’re teetering on the edge and you don’t care. As fragile as Jason’s ego is, so is his masculinity. Eddie wasn’t sure if Jason's above hitting a girl, but he knows that’s where this could go. He creeps closer, eyeing the way Jason’s hand begins to twitch. Waiting for the string to snap, and it does. When he spots Jason’s hand raise, Eddie swoops in. With a foot behind Jason’s, Eddie wraps his arm around Jason’s front, pulling him till he’s falling back on the floor.
Eddie was no stranger to fights, the jocks of Hawkins having taken their frustrations out of him plenty of times. He didn’t like putting himself in the line of fire, but he has and would do it in a heartbeat for the people he cares about. Despite how he’s acted, you’re one of those people.
Your eyes widen, at the fact Jason was about to hit you in the middle of the school, and at seeing Eddie before you, swooping in out of nowhere to defend you. Your eyes lock with his and everything slows down, so many emotions and words unsaid flowing between you with just a look. For a moment your mind flashes back to 5th grade Eddie, reaching his hand out to help you off the ground, worry and sympathy filling his eyes. History repeating itself. You take a deep breath as the memory hits you, staring into Eddie’s brown eyes. In that moment, it’s only you two. No one else. No white brick halls. Just you and Eddie, conveying so much to each other through just your eyes.
Jason’s groans pull you from your trance, your eyes leaving Eddie’s to look down at him. You drop down to one knee, getting into Jason’s face. Eyes popping open wide when he senses you so close. You look at him with fire in your eyes as you point a finger in his face.
“Let me tell you something, you piece of shit. I didn’t come back here to deal with your little brat boy bullshit. If I see you try to put your hands on any of my friends, let alone me, again… I will make you regret it. And don’t think that I won’t.” You hiss, voice full of steel. Staring at him with as much intensity as he held earlier. You relish in the brief moment of fear that flashes through his eyes before his face hardens in frustration and embarrassment, chest heaving with deep, short breaths.
A silence falls before the bell rings to end the lunch period, breaking you all out of the moment. Jason quickly pulls himself to his feet before students flood the halls, not wanting anyone to see him in his embarrassing position. You rise with him. He fixes his letterman jacket, staring daggers between you and Eddie.
“Fucking freaks” he huffs before turning around, stomping down the hall quickly as it fills with students.
Both you and Eddie relax, releasing a breath before you’re just standing there awkwardly next to each other. You resecure your bag on your shoulder before chancing a look at Eddie, who's already staring at you. Reading you, assessing you, trying to tell if you’re okay.
You clear your throat before nodding your head at him.
“Thank you” you mutter softly. When he doesn’t immediately say anything back, your body takes the lead, quickly walking away toward your next class.
Eddie considers chasing after you, but he doesn’t know what the hell he’d say if he did. He just watches you walk away before he takes slow steps to follow you to your shared class together.
In the two classes you have together, you can feel his eyes on you. You catch him a few times, eyes locking with his before one of you quickly looks away.
You feel like you have whiplash. From the switch up of the Eddie you faced on Friday that hated your guts, to the Eddie who didn’t waste a second coming to defend you, with only a few days passing in between. You can’t wrap your head around it. You know he cares, he wouldn’t have been so angry before if he didn’t, but you assumed he was done with you, hated you. But someone that hates you wouldn’t rush into potential harms way to defend you, right?
A few more stolen glances and the muffled voices of your teachers’ as you’re lost in thought fills the remainder of your school day. When you leave your final class, stopping at your locker before walking out the front doors, you wonder if he’ll come up behind you, apologize for his behavior on Friday and give you another chance. But it doesn’t happen, making the walk to your truck uninterrupted. You want to chastise yourself for holding that hope, but what happened today can’t mean nothing. It just can’t. You don’t want it to.
You spend the remainder of your afternoon trying to do your homework. It takes everything in you to focus, almost giving up when the calculus problems push you right to the edge in frustration. You let out a huff in relief as you finish the problems and slam your notebook shut, throwing your head back as you slouch in your chair. Rubbing your hands over your face before you hear your mom unlocking the front door. When you note the time and sun setting through your window, you get up and make your way to the kitchen to start making dinner. You browse through the cupboard before your eyes land on a package of pasta. Spaghetti it is.
As you wait for the meat to brown, your mind replays the events of the day. Landing back into the loop your thoughts had been stuck in all afternoon about Eddie. Trying to make sense of it all, of him. The moment your eyes locked this afternoon made your heart ache, and still does when you think of it now.
You aren’t sure when exactly you first fell in love with Eddie Munson.
The first day you met when he came to your rescue from bullies? That time in the woods when you were 10 when he insisted you be the trapped princess his mission was to rescue? The countless Friday nights you spent staying up late to watch The Midnight Special, eventually falling asleep on each other's shoulders? The first time he shared his mom’s records with you? The first time he really opened up to you about the loss of his mom, and the strenuous relationship with his Dad? That night your parents fighting got so bad you snuck out of your window and went to his trailer in tears, consoling you and doing anything he could to cheer you up? That time he almost went to fight your mom when he saw the red mark on your cheek? Or maybe it was the time he told you you’re beautiful the way you are, when your mom and everyone’s criticisms of your body weighed too heavily on your mind?
You can’t pinpoint which event triggered the change from seeing Eddie as your friend, to your crush. What event marked the transition to being in love with your best friend, seeing and imagining him in ways beyond a regular friend would. You aren’t sure when, but you know you’ve been in love with him for as long as you can remember. An unrequited love that made your heart ache with every pet name bestowed upon you, with every flash of that devilish smile and irresistible dimples, with every use of his deep, animated voice for dramatic storytelling. An ache you’d decided for years you could stifle to keep his friendship. An ache that turned into a sharp pain hearing his voice over the phone, hundreds of miles away. A pain you’d decided you couldn’t bear anymore. Maybe if you hadn’t been in love with him, things would’ve been different. You wouldn’t have pulled away.
So foolish. Desperately longing for things you couldn’t have. Longing so desperately you pushed away the best person in your life, the very person you longed for. A decision that didn’t take long for you to regret, but in your mind was too late to fix. Now, after today, you aren’t so confident about that.
You sit on the couch with your mom, eating Spaghetti and watching Magnum P.I. reruns as your thoughts continue. Mindless small talk about your days, vision zoning out as you stare at the tv, petting Henny who sits in your lap, and a heightened awareness of Eddie’s presence only 100 feet away. An hour later when your mom announces she’s going to bed, you ponder how to spend the rest of your night. You know you won’t be able to fall asleep yourself anytime soon, anticipating one of those nights you won’t be able to shut your mind off.
You wander to your room, shutting your door as you reach into one of your dresser drawers for your little stash box. Sighing in frustration when you notice you only have enough left for one more smoke.
You roll a quick blunt before throwing on a flannel and slipping out the front door. You take a deep inhale of the fresh air, relishing in the cool breeze of the late September night as you begin the short walk to the little neighborhood park at the end of your street. You don’t notice the figure on the porch across the street smoking a cigarette in the dark as you walk, taking in the sound of the breeze blowing through the leaves on the trees, the quietness of the park beyond the very faint sound of some network sitcom playing on a tv.
You sit on a swing and begin to move back and forth slowly as memories flood back. This playground hasn’t changed a bit since you first moved to Forest Hills Trailer Park 9 years ago. Paint faded and chipping, old mulch littered around the playground, and rusted metal chains on the swing that creaks with each movement. Eddie and you spent countless afternoons here in the early years of your friendship. Swinging together, laughing as you’d watch Eddie do the monkey bars, spinning each other on the merry-go-round till you thought you’d get sick.
You put the blunt to your lips and light it, taking a deep inhale as you look around the abandoned playground, hoping the weed would help to calm your mind enough to get some sleep. You rest your head against the metal swing chain, feet softly kicking at the mulch and dirt beneath you. You don’t hear the soft footsteps on pavement approaching you till they’re only a couple feet away, head shooting up at the intrusion when the sound meets your ears. Eddie clears his throat, hands in his vest pockets as he stands at the edge of the playground. Your movements still at the sight of him, streetlights illuminating his figure and messy curls. When your body stiffens and you remain silent, Eddie takes a few steps closer.
“I-uh, I come in peace, promise.” He says softly, raising his hands in surrender. “Mind if I join you?” he asks, head gesturing to the empty swing next to you. You only nod in response before casting your eyes down. You take another hit as he sits down next to you, praying the calming effects you sought would kick in quicker.
You’re both silent for a while, the light wind blowing through the trees, neighborhood noises, and soft creaks from the swing set the only sounds filling the space between you. Eddie’s knee bobs anxiously before he clears his throat.
“I um, just wanted to apologize for Friday. The way I acted, some of the things I said… I let my emotions get the best of me. I didn’t really give you much room to talk, and I’m sorry for that.” Eddie says nervously, eyes turning to look at you as he finishes. You nod in response again, not looking his way.
“I understand. I don’t blame you.” Silence falls between you again before you look towards him. “Thank you again, for earlier today. You didn’t need to step in like that.” Eddie chuckles softly.
“Oh, I know you could’ve handled him just fine on your own, but you shouldn’t have had to... It’s no problem, really. Not my first run in with him anyway.” You wonder just how many times Eddie’s had to deal with Carver and the other jocks, just how bad those run-ins have possibly gotten. In a sign signaling truce, you hand your blunt to him, offering a hit. He gladly accepts with a soft smile before taking a hit.
“Since when do you smoke the devil’s lettuce?”
You giggle softly, letting a smile spread to your cheeks.
“About a year now, same with these” You say, pulling the pack of cigarettes from your pocket enough for him to see. Eddie tsk’s in response, passing the blunt back to you.
“Naughty naughty.” He teases in a deep voice, eyeing you while blowing out smoke. You tear your eyes away and back to the mulch beneath your feet, the sight enough to send a shiver up your spine.
After a few more passes between you, the blunt is gone and you’re left to face the inevitable conversation. You rub your sweaty palms against your thighs as you work up the courage.
“I just wanted to say again, I’m sorry for how things went. For dropping contact. It’s entirely my fault and… I’m really sorry for doing that to you, Eddie. You didn’t deserve that.” Your eyes peek at him. He’s faced forward, nodding softly in response as he lights a cigarette. He moves his hips slightly, enough to turn his body more toward yours.
“So why did you do it?” he asks quietly, dark eyes looking up from his cigarette to meet yours. A somber look on his face, a stark contrast from a few days ago. You take a shaky deep breath while turning your head to look up at the stars littering the sky.
You can’t tell him the truth. You can’t tell him you stopped returning his calls because you were so in love with him that the distance, the sound of his voice over the phone caused your heart to ache so deeply that you couldn’t take it anymore, that you’d recluse to your room and cry after each call.
“We were so close and it hurt so much to be torn apart. Every time I heard your voice on the phone… it just” you take another deep breath, “it was just a reminder that I wouldn’t see you again and that just hurt too much to deal with. I didn’t want to deal with it. So… I secluded. I avoided you. I know it might not make sense, that it might not be a good enough answer for you, but it’s the only one I have.”
You didn’t exactly lie. It’s not the full truth but you were still as honest as you could let yourself be. He’s quiet for a minute as he takes in your words before letting out a deep sigh.
“I guess I get that,” He does, he felt the pain too. The way his heart ached in longing every time he heard your voice, every time he’s thought about you since. It wasn’t enough for him to stop calling, but he still understands you shared the same pain during every call. “But you could’ve seen me again, you’ve been visiting in the summers this whole time.” he protests softly.
“Eddie, when I stopped calling I didn’t know I was going to come back to visit.” You shake your head lightly before turning your body towards him, mirroring his. “I mean, I figured I’d come back and see my Dad eventually, but uh if you remember, he wasn’t exactly in the best mental state when we left and was also locked up so, I didn’t really know anything about what would happen.” You look away from him and towards your lap, fingers fidgeting with the hem of your flannel. “It’s not that I don’t regret it, I do. But by the time I changed my mind and found out about coming back in the summer I was just… like, paralyzed. It had only been two months after I stopped calling, but I was afraid. Afraid it was too much time that’d passed, afraid you’d moved on and replaced me, afraid you wouldn’t forgive me… so I didn’t do anything. Just let it be. The whole time I just told myself you probably didn’t care much anyway.” Eddie blinks at you, wide-eyed as you finish before scoffing lightly.
“You really think I would’ve ‘replaced’ you that easily? That quickly? You were my best friend too, Y/N. The closest I’ve ever had, even closer than Ronnie, you know that. How could you think I wouldn’t care?”
“Come on, Eddie. You’re telling me your brain never fucks with you like that?” You ask, fingers picking a cigarette out of your pack and lighting it quickly. After an inhale you continue, “I mean logically, I know that you felt the same about our friendship. Plenty of memories and moments to prove it. But I just kept thinking back to when I first told you I was leaving. Sure, you seemed disappointed but you weren’t as upset as I was, you didn’t cry. And despite knowing I've only seen you cry like, twice before in all those years, my brain still just clung onto that. Like ‘See! He doesn’t really care, not as much as you.’” You shake your head in disappointment and frustration with yourself as you take another hit. “It’s stupid, I know.”
“No,” Eddie answers quickly, squashing his own cigarette in the mulch with his Reebok sneakers. He looks at you, a sympathetic look etched across his features. “I know what that’s like.” You’re both quiet at first, letting the new information and understanding fall into place. You rock yourself back and forth on the swing slowly, gathering your words before you speak them.
“Look, I don’t expect you to forgive me and I don’t know what I could do to make it up to you but, I just need to say again that I’m sorry. I would take it all back if I could. I’ve really missed you.” You finish, eyes meeting his. You hope they’re portraying your sincerity as his own search your face. He looks away from you as a small smile tugs at one side of his lips, feet kicking at the mulch below.
“Yeah well… I missed you too.” He breathes out, eyes meeting yours again. A small smile tugs at your own lips. After a few moments of silence, he finishes. “I forgive you.”
He leans towards you, pinky finger extended. You choke out a laugh at the sight, relief washing over you. You wrap your pinky around his, closing your eyes to stop them from watering as your smile deepens.
When your fingers detach, you sigh deeply and open your eyes to meet his again.
“Thank you” you say quietly, warmth spreading through your body. It feels like a massive weight has been taken off your shoulders. The optimism and hope you haven’t felt since last Sunday, before your first day back at Hawkins, creeps its way back into your mind and body. You note how much lighter your chest feels as it moves with each breath, and the knot you’ve felt in your stomach for a week begins to loosen.
You stay there for a while, lightly swinging back and forth as you and Eddie dive into discussions about new bands, albums, and movies that have come out since you moved. Concerts you’ve been to since. Eddie smiles seeing that you haven’t changed one bit since you’d left, even mentioning bands and movies he hadn’t even heard of, promising to share your tapes with him at some point. He finds himself getting lost watching you as you excitedly describe the Journey concert you went to with your cousins in 83’. Smiling when he notices the sparkle in your eyes as you rave about Steve Perry’s voice and how they played your favorite songs. Laughing as you pout in jealousy when he describes the Metallica concert he went to with Gareth earlier this year. It all feels so familiar, so comfortable.
You’re so lost in conversation you don’t notice how much time passes by until Eddie checks his watch and whistles. It’s almost 11:30pm, nearly 2 hours since you first walked down to the playground. The hesitancy you held about your ability to get a goodnight’s rest tonight was gone. You feel like you’re floating as you and Eddie walk the short distance back to your trailers, Eddie telling you about Hellfire’s current campaign.
“You know, you’re more than welcome to join us sometime. You already know half the club.” He offers as you reach the end of your driveway.
“I’ll definitely think about it, thanks.” You give him a small smile.
“Cool. Well, I guess I’ll see you tomorrow.” He returns your smile as he rocks back and forth on his heels lightly, hands shoved into his vest pockets.
“Oh, wait! Kind of an odd question but before I forget, do you know anyone around here that sells?” You ask as the thought of your now empty stash box pops into your head. Eddie smoked with you, you figure he knew where to get some around here.
And boy, did he.
A bright, cheeky smile stretches across his face.
“Oh yeah, I know a guy.” He says with a glimmer of mischief in his eyes before he bows dramatically, “Your friendly neighborhood drug dealer at your service, my dear.”

can you pls do like a one bed situation ( enemies to lovers ) with 2007 tom and ofc they do it☺️
ᡣ𐭩 sharing a bed w tom
“what!?” the two of you said simultaneously to then glare daggers into each other. both you and tom groaned in disapproval when the receptionist explained that the room you booked for only contains one bed.
there was no other way around such a situation.
your class was going out for high-school trip to the mountains. for majority of the day, you explored the small town and shops with your girlfriends while tasked with an ‘educational aspect’ of it.
none of the students cared much for it honestly.
strangely, your friend group and tom’s friend group were constantly running into each other. and as much as you and tom hated it, the friends of the two groups didn’t.
the continuous pick-up lines, slight touching, teasing. it drive you nuts.
“ugh, i’m gonna fucking throw up…” you pretended to gag as you watched one of your friends hug a boy with black semi-spiked hair. eyeshadow rings around his eyes that curve into a smile just like his mouth.
cheesy ass hoes.
“lighten up y/n! besides, tom’s been staring at you quite a bit,” emily, your best friend being too loud, you hear a scoff coming from somewhere next to you. “as if, i would rather suck on a horse’s foot than be with y/n” tom rolls his eyes as you cross your arms.
“at least i don’t look like a fucking horse’s foot..”
tom’s mouth gapes at your comment “what the fuck did you call me!?” “you heard me bitch!” this led the two of you to bicker and it almost threatens to become physical.
the two of you literally had to be stopped by emily and the now spiked hair boy who you later found out his name was bill, his twin and clearly more logical and cooler brother.
“they argue like an old couple,” gustav mumbles, “they’re gonna do such great things in the future…” georg adds in.
beforehand, you were each given a room number and a key to the hotel room you would be staying in for a few days. as the teachers and staff declared it a night, all students were to head to their assigned rooms.
as you made your way to the front desk, you see a particular dread-head already there.
you roll your eyes so hard you swear they went to the back of your head, but you’re too tired to fight this guy, having already gotten your hits in a few hours earlier.
“room 483?” you questioned the lady working behind the desk (get it ;D) as she types into the computer, “that can’t be your fucking room,” tom makes a jab at you but you’re clearly not in the mood for it, “and why the fuck not?”
“because that’s my room.”
you drop the keycard on the table.
the both of you then glare at the receptionist who’s already clearly in cold sweats due to the tense and thick atmosphere the air is bringing.
“okay—there’s clearly been a mix-up with your card tom because that’s my room.” “uhh i don’t think so kleine, look at my key card.” he drops it onto the table beside yours, the two of you analyze the numbers imprinted onto the plastic.
it’s the same exact goddamn keycard.
you sigh heavily, body achy, all you wanted was to rest, but in no way were you going to share a room with someone you hate down to your core.
“well is there at least two beds??” tom asked, he looks just as tired as you and at this point the bickering needs to come to an end. the both of your bodies are now leaned into the front desk, impatiently waiting for an answer. why the hell is this lady taking so long to answer a yes or no question??
she purses her lips, slowly shaking her head.
“what!?” you both managed to scream out at the same time.
she then explains because the rooms were intended for one student only, the rooms with singular beds were all booked. “are there any other rooms available??” yet again, she shook her head side to side.
you swear you were going to smack her so hard her head was gonna fly off her body even though it wasn’t her fault.
“i can’t fucking believe this, are you kidding me!? can’t even do your job and compensate us for something we paid for!?” you were so angry. you pointed your finger at her and just continued to berate her.
angry and tired, it wasn’t a good combination on you, it led you to become extremely irrational. losing total control of your actions, that was until a hand grabbed yours and squeezed it gently.
“y/n.. please.. can we just check in..? i’ll sleep on the floor—or the couch if there even is one—just, stop.. okay? how’s that sound.” this was a side of toms you’ve never seen of his in the past four years.
it reminded you of how soft and gentle he was when you first met freshman year.
you bit your lip, immediately regretting how you acted. like a douchebag, she was just doing her job. it wasn’t in her intentions to mess the rooms up for you, but you blamed her anyway.
your head hung low, to ashamed to apologize, you just instead slammed your hand on the desk to grab the two keycards and made your way towards the elevator.
tom followed behind after mouthing a ‘sorry’ to the receptionist who acknowledged his apology for you, immediately going back to her job.
as you exit the washroom, you see tom already laying on the floor, using whatever clothes he had packed to form a make-shift bed. he tosses and turns in attempts to get into a comfortable position that would allow him to sleep. you raised your eyebrow at him, what is he doing?
that was until you quietly crept your way to the closet to check for any extra blankets or pillows hotels normally provide to you.
nothing, nada. empty.
i swear to god you’ll never ever book a trip here again, you make a mental note to yourself if you were to ever want to take some time off in the future.
you inhale sharply, and exhale deeply. with every inch of your body, you cannot believe you’re doing this right now, “tom,” you called out. all you heard was a hum from across the room to acknowledge you, “sleep on the bed,” “i’m not gonna make you sleep on the floor y/n—” “well of course i’m not sleeping on the floor, we’re sharing the bed.”
tom sat up so quick in disbelief to what he’s hearing, “a-are you sure..?” “yes, tom, it’s fine.. we’ll just pretend none of this happened in the morning, got it?” he nods at your request and gets up from the floor.
the both of you enter the bed at the same time, the covers were so warm. your lamp was the only light source that lit up the hotel room. turning it off, the only source of light now was the moon that shone dimly through the windows.
you felt at peace, adjusting yourself to slowly drift into sleep.
however that peace was short-lived as you stretched your backside to hit the only other figure that was in the bed with you.
“shitfuck, sorry tom i didn’t mean to—” “to grind your ass on me? yeah right,” you rotate your whole body to now face tom, “okay first of all, don’t be so cocky—woah!” a pair of arms now wrapped around your body and embraced you into a hug.
“god you can’t even imagine how long i’ve been wanting to do this..” hesitantly, you wrap your arms around tom’s neck, taking in his scent. the room is silent, only filled with the heavy breathing that emits from the both of your bodies.
“kleine, i’m so sorry, so sorry for how i acted in the past..” “t-tom.. it’s fine i’m completely over it.” he places kisses all over your cheeks, “no, no it’s not baby lemme make it up to you yea?” he plays with the hem of your shorts, teasing you in wanting to take them off.
“i’m tired tom,” “pleaseplease just let me do this for you okay? you don’t have to do anything i just—just wanna show you how much i’m sorry for making you hate me..”
nodding, tom smiles and kisses you once more this time on the lips. he drags both your shorts and underwear down your legs shortly doing the same with his sweatpants and boxers down to his mid-thigh.
damn, he must be really turned on, the way you felt his hard on rest between your legs.
lining up his dick, tom slowly pushes into you. hissing at the slight burn from tom’s size. he’s always been big, and you’ve done it before, “god.. how long has it been? weeks? months? but you still remember the shape of this dick in you..”
you choke on a moan at you try to retaliate tom, his words embarrass you. but he’s right, ever since the two of you broke up you’ve been abstinent. he makes it sound as though he’s messed with other people. but little did you know, he’s the same. never fucked since the breakup.
“s-shut up..” “you’re right, ‘m sorry this is supposed to be my apology to you,” he thrusts hard and deep despite the awkward position, the both of you in a spooning position he attempts to find a good angle to fuck you in.
body sensitive, your stomach clenches as electricity travels within your core, a string threatening to snap at the way tom drags his dick inside of you, ensuring you feel every inch of him in you.
he’s handsy. his hands roam around and drag across your body. you shiver under his touch. the way his dick hits your g-spot along with the slight pinching and groping felt all over your body. he plays with your chest, runs his hands up and down your stomach. tom holds onto your wrists from time to time for great leverage in the way he fucks himself into you, desperate.
tom leaves open mouth kisses on your neck and shoulder, all you could do was whine and whimper letting him use your body as he pleases. it’s been so long since the two of you fucked so you feel, everything.
“close, i’m getting close meine kleine, tell me you forgive me,” his thrusts become a little faster, clear that he’s chasing his orgasm the same as you, adding more to the heat as you grind your hips on him.
“i-i forgive you tom, fuck! i can’t..” your body convulses as your orgasm washes over your body, clenching onto tom, this quickly leads him to come inside you, unable to pull out with the way you hold onto him so tightly, “fuck! y-y/n..”
riding out the high, tom finally pulls out and slips your bottoms back on, putting on his own right after. he looks up at you but you only hide your face within your hands, embarrassed about the fact that you just fucked your ex-boyfriend after what seems like forever.
but for the plot, am i right?
“i cannot BELIEVE i just did that,” you groaned as tom laughs at you, peeling your hands away from your face. all you can see in the darkness is the glint that lit in tom’s dark brown eyes from the moon and the small reflect of his metal lip piercing that shined from the way his mouth curves into a smile.
“do you regret it??” “no..” “then that’s all that matters,” he places a peck onto your forehead. “one final question,” he chimes in “tom, you already fucked me haven’t you had enough fun??” “yes. but can i just ask?”
“what is it now,” “wanna get back together?”
you said yes.

Never Felt More Alone || Meet The Mercers au
Tumblr media
a/n: I finally got around to doing something for ‘Meet The Mercers’. This was the one I was probably looking forward to the most and I can’t wait to get deeper into this au with you guys!
wc: 1k+
Warnings: mentions of abortion, unplanned pregnancy, crying, angst
Summary: Hooking up with a hockey player she met at a bar on her birthday wasn’t supposed to have consequences. It does, though.
Part of ‘The Hockey Babies au’ and ‘Meet The Mercers’. This au is interactive so any asks, thoughts, requests or ideas are always welcomed!
Tumblr media
When the first pregnancy test came back positive she felt like throwing up.
When the second one came back positive she thought that she might faint.
When she had to schedule an appointment with her doctor to confirm what the at-home tests were saying she wanted to cry.
Right now, well, she just feels disconnected from herself and her body as she sits completely still as her doctor confirms that she is pregnant. She listens and nods robotically as the doctor tells her about her options in a calm voice. She can’t help but think of how rude she must seem to this other woman. Instead of her own voice, it’s her mother's voice in her head scolding her for not looking the doctor in the eye. For not replying with any words like she had been taught.
She wants to laugh. There were a lot of things she was taught were right and wrong. Getting pregnant by some random hookup before she graduates college was never explicitly taught because her parents had raised her better. She wonders what their reactions will be as she’s handed pamphlets.
When the appointment is over she thanks the doctor and promises to make another appointment soon.
Her mind is blissfully blank as she walks out of the room, avoiding the pregnant women sitting in the waiting room. It’s not until she’s sitting in the passenger seat of her best friend's car that it all finally hits her. Her friend simply pulls into a parking spot and lets her cry. Her friend doesn’t say anything but she rubs her back to let her know she isn’t alone.
“I’m so stupid,” she manages between cries. Her breathing is calming down slowly but the tears don’t stop.
Her best friend, the same girl she met on her first day of college, hushes her and pushes a stray piece of hair behind her ear, and says softly. “You’re not stupid. You couldn’t have predicted this was gonna happen.”
She wiped away her tears and looked at her friend. Seeing her kind eyes looking back at her made her want to break again. “Even if that’s true, my parents are going to kill me.”
Her friend grimaced. She had met her parents several times. Even spending time at their Summer home in Cape Cod for the past four years. Her parents were lovely people but they had high standards for their daughter and everyone who ever saw them interact with her could see that. They were rich and traditional and would gasket when they learned that their pride and joy was knocked up by some stranger.
It was only then that she glanced down at the pamphlets she was still holding. The top one read ‘It’s Your Choice: What You Should Know About Abortion”. Maybe her parents didn’t have to know. Maybe this was something she didn’t have to deal with. This could just be a little bump in the way of her life that she would never have to think about ever again.
Her friend saw her looking at the pamphlet before asking with no trace of judgment in her voice, “Is that what you want!”
A fresh tear rolled down her cheek but she didn’t respond.
“If it is, I’m by your side all the way, but if you do it you should do it for yourself not because you're afraid of your parents knowing.” It was her friend who wiped away the tears from her cheeks this time. “I just want you to know that you would make an amazing mother, whether it’s now or sometime in the future.”
They sat in the car with a random radio station playing quietly over the speakers as they sat silent.
With a deep sigh, she opened the glove department and put the pamphlets in before shutting it again. She looked at her friend and smiled. It was a bit wobbly but it wasn’t fake.
“I’m keeping the baby.”
Her friend smiled and pulled her into a hug as best as she could over the center console.
They didn’t talk much as they drove back to their shared apartment in the City. She tried her best not to think about the fact that her parents paid for this apartment. She was a part of a sorority and volunteered all around New York but she never actually had a job. Her parents always told her to focus on her studies and they would handle everything else but now she needed to grow up and do it soon.
When they finally settled inside, she flipped down onto their large couch while her friend went to the kitchen to get them something to drink. She wasn’t prepared at all for her friend to come back into the living room with a crumpled napkin.
“So would now be a bad time to mention that the hockey guy you hooked up with on your birthday and who knocked you up left his phone number on the fridge.”
You grabbed the napkin she held out and looked at it.
Had a fun time. I would love to hangout again sometime. Call me sometime.
- Dawson (xxx-xxx-xxxx)
You were so worried about having to tell your parents that you completely forgot that there was another person in this equation. Truthfully, you had hoped that because you didn’t see him the next morning after hooking up with him it meant fate wanted you to be a single mother. How were you supposed to tell a professional hockey player that you were pregnant with his baby?
Did you have to tell him? It’s not like he knew you and he was probably still drunk when he wrote this. He probably goes through so many girls that you doubted he remembered you.
“Maybe I don’t have to tell him. It would probably be for the best.”
You’re voice was weak and the hand holding the napkin was shaking.
“Maybe you should sit on that thought for a little bit.” Your friend and you could tell that she didn’t like your answer.
It didn’t matter, though. You were the one who was pregnant with some random athlete's baby.

Smash or Pass: Part 1/4 (LA!Buggy the Clown x F!Reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: It's the last stop before the Grand Line and you slink away for a quiet evening. The universe, however, decides to clown on you. Sequel to Kiss, Marry, Kill. Pairing: LA!Buggy the Clown x F!Reader Rating: Semi-explicit. Warnings: Alcohol, death threats, implied threat of sexual assault. Word Count: ~3.1k.
Mama told me what I should know
"Too much candy's gonna rot your soul
If she loves you, let her go'
Cause love only gets you down!"
---
PART 1: In which you are threatened with a knife, a gun, and a good time.
You thought the night would be fine. You thought no one in this bar would bother you. You thought you’d have a little nightcap or three and head back to the ship. You thought you’d have one last night to spend on your own before sharing a small space with five other people for the foreseeable future.
But nothing worked out as you’d hoped.
As soon as you got comfy at a table in the corner, a horde of rough-looking sailors descended and lit up the place. Loud. Rowdy. Obnoxious.
Ugh. At least they’re not Marines. You can lay low. Sink deep in your chair and focus on your drink.
Gazing into the scrying beer glass, you let your mind wander among the swirls. Thoughts ebb and flow.
Like how you need to remember to get more sutures before you cast off. Or how heavy your fingers feel under all the jewelry. How naked your ring fingers look with no adornment. Your family would be nagging you to get married by now. They’d like Sanji.
But they wouldn’t like that stupid, stupid clown.
He’s been on your mind a lot lately. You hate it. But how could he not be? Made you an offer you had to refuse. You tell yourself it wouldn’t have worked out. Where was he last month when you were looking for an escape? You hope you never see him again.
…but if you did see him again, you wouldn’t complain. He’d probably sidle up to you and say something like—
“Well, hello, gorgeous."
Yeah, that's exactly what he would say.
Wait. That was loud. That wasn’t your thoughts. It can’t be. You turn.
Buggy the Clown grins at you. “Fancy meeting you here, Miss Sawbones."
You dive to the floor as he pulls a knife from his sleeve and throws it at you, sinking up to the handle in the wall. You clamber to your feet, put on your best snarl, and raise your fists.
All eyes are on you and Buggy as you size him up. The clink of chains and scrape of drawn swords sounds all around you. You’re not sure who your allies are, but you’re grateful for the support.
Especially because there’s just as many goons behind Buggy. He looks as surprised as you feel. His stance softens as he glances around. You could get a punch in while his guard is down—
“Hey!”
A gravelly voice splits the very air of the room. Like a child caught in the cookie jar, you freeze. You’re in big trouble.
Buggy freezes too. His shoulders hunch and his eyes go wide. He glances at you, and then to the side. You look in the same direction.
Standing behind the bar is a stout woman in an apron. A cigar dangles from her lips and she wields a wicked glare. Along with a very, very large shotgun.
She points at a big sign hung above the shelves. NO FiTiN IN DaH baR in big red letters on weathered wooden planks.
“‘No fittin’…?'” Buggy mutters.
“If you’re gonna kill each other,” the matron says, “do it outside.”
Due to a sudden lapse in self-preservation, you speak up. “He started it—“
Everyone jumps as she fires into the ceiling. “And I’m ending it. Get along or get out.”
You glance at Buggy. He glances back. You can see the whites of his eyes, even from all the way over here. Slowly, he replaces his knives back into his jacket.
You lower your fists, feeling awful sheepish.
The bar matron nods. “Back to your drinks, all of you,” she says.
You can’t help but feel a little embarrassed as the crowd disperses. You can read. You’re very literate. How’d you miss that?
“Guess we both need glasses,” Buggy says right next to your ear.
You jump and nearly swing on him again, but you pull the punch. You have no interest in being shot tonight. “What the hell are you doing here?!”
“Getting a drink, same as you. Last stop before the Grand Line.” His voice dips low and he leans in close. “And last chance I’ll likely get to cut you and your little captain’s throats.”
You scowl. “Over my dead body,” you growl.
“That’s the idea.” The matron clears her throat loudly. He flinches and pulls back, but the glare remains. “Once you leave, babe— snnckt!” He draws his finger across his throat and his head rolls off his shoulders and into his arms. You yelp and he cackles as he puts it back.
Well, now you’re in it. This wouldn’t have happened if you stayed on the ship, you dumb lush. You could have just drank with Zoro. Or shot the shit with Usopp while he shot at shit. Or let Sanji hit on you while you sharpened his knives. Literally anything would have been better than this.
But here you are. Time to get yourself out of it. Somehow.
"Well, I’m not going anywhere," you tell Buggy. You sit back down at your table. "So get comfy, clown."
He places his hat on the table and plops into the seat across from you. He snatches up the mug -- your mug -- and takes a long, long, long pull. He tips his head all the way back, throat bobbing with every swallow.
You try and fail to drag your eyes away. You like sharp throats.
When it's drained, he slams it back down on the table. He wipes his mouth with the back of his hand and how he doesn't smudge his makeup, you'll never know.
“Don’t mind if I do.” He kicks up his boots onto the table. “So what’re we drinkin’? Rum? Ale? Whiskey? Bet you’re a rum kinda gal.”
This is gonna be a night.
---
One bottle in. You glower at him and he smiles back, eyes twinkling in the dim light.
Second bottle. The sun is fully down. He’s started chattering about nothing and everything. Rage roils inside you.
Third bottle. The room slowly spins. He’s still talking. You might leave just so you can strangle him.
Fourth bottle. You flip him the bird. He just giggles.
Fifth bottle. You mix it up a bit and order some shots. The matron brings the glasses and leaves the bottle.
“Hey, the good shit.” Buggy pours two glasses and raises one. “Cheers.”
Something bubbles up in your chest. The urge to speak. You’re gonna say something stupid. You just know it. And you’re just lubricated enough that it slides through.
You raise your glass. “Another day, another bender. No retreat, no surrender.” You toss it back and it scorches your throat on its way down.
Your head is so full of cotton that it takes you a moment to notice the laughter. Strong. Sharp. Bellyful. Contagious. You like that laugh. You’d like to hear more of it.
And then you realize it’s coming from Buggy. He has his head tossed back and his eyes scrunched and he’s letting out the most glorious laughter you’ve ever heard.
Before you can be properly disgusted with yourself, he recovers. “I got one.” He pours another pair of shots and slides one to you. “Here’s to our wives and girlfriends. May they never meet.”
Two more shots tossed back and two more glasses slammed on the table. It’s all going right to your head and the more it does, the more you’re enjoying yourself.
“Everyone knows that one,” you say. You pour. “One drink is good, two at the most. Three I’m under the table, four I’m under the host.”
His eyebrows shoot up, lips pursed into a circle. Then he laughs again. “Workin’ blue tonight! Alright!” Two more shots poured. “It ain’t the length, it ain’t the size, it’s how often I can make it rise.”
You weren’t expecting that and you almost spit the shot out. You hack and sputter as it goes down the wrong pipe, but you recover.
Though now you’re thinking about Buggy’s dick. You should probably stop that. You wonder if it’s small and that’s why he is how he is.
“Y’alright, babe?” He takes a pull right from the bottle and spills some on his chin and shirt. He’s sauced too. Small comfort.
One more comes to mind. You reach across and snatch the bottle. “Now he lays me down to screw.” You pour one shot. “I pray this clown knows what to do.” You pour the other. “If he should cum before I end…” You raise yours. “I swear to God I’ll fuck his friend!”
He stares at you a moment, grinless, just long enough for you to worry. And then it returns with a howling cackle. He slams his glass into yours hard enough to slosh some whiskey out and you both shoot it back.
You stare at each other, giggling like hyenas. Some part of you knows this is ridiculous. You’re getting smashed with a guy who tried to kill you and your friends. Who was just ready to kill you. Who is plotting to slit your throat right when you’re not expecting it.
You just laugh harder. What’s your life come to?
You come back down to see him staring at you, head resting on his hand. "You laugh cute."
“Nuh-uh.” You take a swig from the whiskey bottle. “I laugh like a News Coo.”
“News Coos are adorable!” He snatches the bottle back and takes a pull. “We switchin’ back to rum after this one? Or do we wanna get avden— abvench— adventurous?”
A good question. "Let's go nuts."
"My kinda woman!" He slams the table to catch the matron's attention. "Bring us something strong!"
---
Bottle six is gin. Neither of you like it and you both down the whole thing. Bottle seven, you're back to ale.
On eight, you wonder if the throat-cutting threat was a ruse and he's really just going to give you alcohol poisoning.
At least it's a fun way to go.
"So there I am," Buggy says, "looking at the giant hole in the hull where the cannon once was, holding a cannonball like this--" He jumps to his feet, pops his head off, and clutches it to his chest like it weighs fifty pounds. "--when the first mate himself walks in."
Your jaw drops. "What'd you do?"
"Only thing I could do.” He pauses for dramatic effect. “Threw the cannonball at him!"
He lobs his head to you. You squeal in surprise, just barely managing to catch him before you fall out of your chair. The giggles flow from you like water from a spigot.
He grins as you look at him. "Gotcha," he says with a wink.
Maybe it's the booze. Maybe it's the surprise. Your cheeks heat up all the same. You throw the head back and clamber to your feet.
A moment of clarity hits you as you sit back down. "Why are we drinking together? You wanna kill me."
"It's not that weird. Best drinkin' buddies I ever had tried to kill me. When I tried to skip out on the tab, but... y'know." He takes a gulp from his mug. "’Sides, I like you."
"Why?"
“Barber. Cute laugh. Helluva haymaker." Another swig. “You'd do better with me than that group of losers."
"I am not joining your crew."
He watches the ale swirl in his mug, tracing the rim with his fingers. His lips purse and he glances everywhere but your face.
You try to wait for him to speak, but music catches your attention before he can reply. A lively tune, one perfect for dancing. It looks like some of the pirates pulled out instruments and are entertaining their fellows.
"Aw, I love this song," you chirp. “Luffy’s right, we gotta get us a musician already.”
A chain of dancers sails past. You wish you could hop in, but you’ve got two left feet in ill-fitting high heels when you’re sober on a good day.
Buggy watches you watch them. “Go cut a rug. I’ll watch your shit.”
You shake your head a little too hard and the universe spins. “No way. Can’t dance worth a damn.”
“I’ll give you a hand.” His left hand detaches with a little flourish. “Or two.” Off goes the other one. “Or all of me, if you want.”
“Then who’s gonna watch my shit?”
He blinks, then sits back. “Whatever. I gotta piss anyways,” he mutters. He tries to stand, only for his feet to slip out from under him. “Can I get a hand?”
“Alright, but I’m not helping you aim.” You’re less sober than he is, but you’re drunk enough to try. Hauling yourself to your feet, you offer your hand. He takes it, pulling himself upwards.
And then you see the smile on his face. In a burst of coordination, he pulls you into the throng of people.
Oooooh no. No. No no no. He whirls you around, making your head spin. You step on someone’s foot. “I. Cannot. Dance.”
“Can’t?” He lifts you up, moves you to the side, and places you down again. “Or won’t?”
“Both!”
“Bullshit. Hand here.” He plants your hand on his shoulder and places his own on your—
You slap the smile off his face. Not hard enough to hurt, but enough to make your point. He accepts it.
“Sorry, thought you were shorter,” he mutters. He puts his hand on your waist. Even through his glove, you can feel his warmth. “Stand on my feet.”
“I’m not a child!” You try to pull away, only to collide with a very large man and get knocked back into Buggy. You’re trapped. No way out but to dance.
You know what? Fine. You stand on his feet — making sure to stamp his toes good — and glower at him. “What’s next?”
The smile returns. “Hold on tight, sweetheart.”
You clutch him as tight as you dare. And thank God you do, because soon you’re spinning like a top.
He guides you over and under, side to side, forward and back. And you don’t trip once. Neither of you do. You don’t even feel nauseous. How is he doing this? Is he magic? Is he just that good?
You glance down. Detached from his ankles, his feet support yours as they scoot around. The rest of him glides through the air, guiding you among the other dancers.
It might as well be magic.
"Light off your feet!" you say.
Buggy's chest thrums with a chuckle. Your stomach jumps into your throat as he drops you into a dip just long enough for him to wink at you. "Ain't I clever?"
He pulls you back up and your stomach slides into your boots. The dance continues.
Whirling, twirling, ducking, weaving, bouncing, bobbing… Is this what a dolphin feels like, swirled around by ocean currents? Or a kite, floating on the breeze? Or a princess swept off her feet by a dashing scoundrel?
Somewhere in the recesses of your mind, you ponder what your life has come to. A pirate, dancing on the feet of a clown who tried to kill you and your friends. Who then stole several kisses from you and made your heart flutter and got really drunk with you and now you're a little in lo--
No. Don't say it. If you don't say it, it won't come true. Unless it's the other way around?
It is the other way around. If you say it, you'll jinx it and it won't happen. So you admit it to yourself: you're smitten with this psychotic jackass.
The laughter bubbles forth and it just won't stop. You don't want it to stop. You never want this to stop. This feeling, this dance, this fit of hysterics.
But it must, as all things do. With one final fiddle run, the music stops and everyone applauds. You would join them, but you’re too busy holding onto Buggy for dear life, catching your breath and trying to stop the room from spinning.
“Can’t dance, huh?”
He’s as breathless as you, mouth parted as he takes breaths deep enough to shake his shoulders. Sweat glistens on his face. Glows, even. A few shimmering strands of hair have slipped from his bandanna and stick to his forehead.
What little breath you’ve recovered vanishes from your lungs. Your heart flutters — no, it flaps, like a gull fighting a gust.
You wanna kiss him, but that last shred of self-restraint stops you. “Let’s go again,” you say instead.
His face lights up. “Lemme-- Lemme get rid of this.“
His forearms slip out of his coat and fly to his shoulders, catching his coat as he shrugs out of it. They zip over toward your table. Pretty slick, you admit to yourself.
And then it gets caught on a chair. The arms yank and yank, but it’s snagged good. You giggle.
“C’mon, you piece of…!” He huffs. He pecks your cheek. “Don’t go anywhere.”
He scrambles over to the snag, tripping on every table and chair along the way.
And then you realize he kissed you. Your spine goes rigid.
A tap on your shoulder knocks you out of your stun and you turn. You half-expect it to be one of his hands, but a rather large pirate is there.
“My captain fancies you,” he rumbles. He nods at a smug-looking blond with the worst come-hither face you’ve ever seen. “He would like the pleasure of your company.”
Nnnnno, you think. “Nnnnno,” you say. Buggy has freed his coat and is draining the rest of the bottle you’d abandoned. “Already spoken for.”
The man’s hand engulfs your shoulder and pulls you around. “It wasn’t a request.”
The blond snakes his arm around your trunk, his hand going to your breast. You try to pull away, but the goon’s grip is like iron.
A sharp whistle makes everyone turn. Buggy stands there, arms behind his back. His expression is neutral, but you see his clenched jaw and the bulging tendon in his neck.
“And where are you going with my leading lady?” He’s got the showman voice on. “Our number isn’t over.”
The captain smiles. “I’ll return her once we’ve had our fun,” he says.
He takes a few meandering steps towards them. “Look, gentlemen: we can play this as a tragedy or a comedy. Your choice.”
The goon straightens up. He cracks his knuckles with a chorus of pops. The captain draws a rapier. You’re not sure how well a Chop Chop man handles being stabbed.
Buggy glances between the two of them, nonplussed. “Comedy it is.”
Two disembodied hands slam a bottle over each man’s head. Shards of glass and drops of rum fly everywhere. The pirates’ grips go slack, and you jump away as they hit the floor with dull thuds.
Chaos erupts.

Hey Sarah I’m in a mood and I was wondering if you could break my heart (pls put it back together tho) with any of the Eddies or Joes
Hiii lovey!! I will gladly break your heart and I’m gonna be totally honest I had a whole moment where I went “what if…I don’t put it back together?” but don’t worry I will…eventually(I really will fix it I promise) 🙈 but I did this in a conversation formate because that’s how it flowed the best in my mind so I hope you enjoy💖
-I had to create a whole new Eddie for this because I simply couldn’t bring myself to break any of my precious babies hearts😂
A/N: This has a cliff hanger and I’m sorry I feel like it’s necessary and you’ll see why, don’t hate me✨
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“You know staring at it won’t make it magically disappear right?…you’re gonna have to open it eventually.” “Gee thanks Steve…what would I do without your words of wisdom?” “Listen jackass sitting here on your front porch staring at a cardboard box isn’t exactly how I planned on spending my Friday night okay?” “Then why’d you come over?” “Because…you called and sounded all…upset…and you’re like one of my bestfriends so…here I am.” “Thanks…” “So…what’d you do?” “I fucked up.” “I mean yeah…that’s a little obvious…I mean what did you actually do to make her send all your stuff back in a box marked…the asshole’s stuff?” “We got into an argument and she walked out and I didn’t go after her.” “Wait..what?..what do you mean you didn’t go after her?” “I mean exactly what I said Steve…I said some shit…she said some shit and then she left and I just…let her….” “What was this argument about?” “She got a wedding invitation from some girl we went to high school with and it made her all…happy and hopeful for our future and..she started talking about us getting married and I just…I’m not ready for all that shit man I’m only twenty three I can’t be someone’s husband.” “Okay so you just tell her you’re not ready yet…you don’t just throw in the fucking towel Eddie.” “You didn’t see her face when she was talking about our lives together Steve…she’s ready for that like right now and I don’t…I don’t know if I’ll ever be ready.” “What exactly did you say to her?” “I just told her…if she’s looking for someone to marry she’s looking in the wrong place…and…and she just..called me a selfish asshole and left.” “Well she wasn’t wrong…and that’s when you just let her drive away?” “I didn’t even move from the couch…I sat there the rest of the night because I just assumed she’d come back after she calmed down a bit.” “You’re such an idiot man…but just tell me…is it the idea of being with her forever that you don’t think you’re ready for? Or is just being her husband you can’t wrap your head around?” “I love her…more than anyone and I know she’s it for me but I’m not husband material Steve and that’s not…fare to her.” “Oh fuck off with that…she clearly thinks your husband material or she wouldn’t bring it up so don’t go trying to say you did this as a favor to her okay? You did this because you’re scared.” “I’m not scared.” “Yes you fucking are Eddie…you’re terrified that someone else loves you so much that they literally want to be legally bound to you…that’s some heavy shit man so I get it but that’s why you made her run away…it has nothing to do with this lame ass excuse of you not being husband material.” “I just..I don’t want to fuck it up..I’ve seen enough horrible marriages I don’t need to be apart of one too.” “Sorry to break it to you man but…you kinda already did.” “Yeah…I did didn’t I? She couldn’t even write my name on the box…” “Oh asshole isn’t your first name? I’m shocked.” “Fuck off…” “Sorry…but you wanna go through it now or…wait?” “I don’t need to go through it…I know what’s in it.” “Oh really? What?” “A few mix cds I made her… a teddy bear from a claw machine at the arcade…some letters…a photo of us at the lake one summer and hopefully a few Metallica shirts.” “Letters?” “Yeah? We used to write each other all the time…it was like our way of expressing how we felt sometimes when we couldn’t really…get the words out…why are you looking at me like that?” “Do you want her back?” “What?” “Answer the question man.” “Yes…yes I want her back…” “Just checking…because…I may have an idea…” “Okay…I’m listening…”

That morning, you woke up feeling heavy. Incredibly heavy.
You sighed as you continued to fake sleep, hoping to catch more of a desired slumber.
“Y/n.” You hear a voice. “Y/n, wake up.” Soon after you feel a hand come down onto your shoulder, shaking you gently.
Scrunching your face you open your eyes, your vision is blurry at first and it scares you.
It reminds you of that night all those weeks ago.
Your breath picks up more as you still could barely see.
You shot up to sit up straight, your arms coming out in front of you to feel around your surroundings.
Your body is slowly becoming more frantic and you’re panicking.
“Hey, hey. I’m right here, it’s okay, it’s okay.” Your arms are pushed down before your head is placed onto someone’s shoulder.
“D-dad?” Your voice is weak as your chest rises and fell quickly.
“I’m right here, it’s me babygirl. It’s okay.”
You closed your eyes as you reveled silently in your father’s arms. His warm hand rubbing your back up and down worked to calm you down.
“Sorry dad.. I just got scared because I couldn’t see..” You whispered embarrassingly.
“Don’t apologize for it Y/n. I know what happened that night was really, really scary.” You nodded against Jake’s shoulder, closing your eyes and taking a deep breath.
After a minute of silence you couldn’t hold it back anymore.
“I don’t wanna leave.” You let out a sob, tears falling onto the crook of your dad’s shoulder.
“I know babygirl, I know. I don’t want to leave either.” Jake’s voice became a bit shaky as he really thought about the situation.
Of course your going to be sad you have to leave. You were born here, raised here, had all of your good and bad moments here.
Because of the Sky People, you are being ripped away from your home, family, and life.
The future you had planned for yourself now is completely ruined.
Those bastards have ruined everything for you.
What they did to you that night has left you traumatized and full of scars.
A scarred state of mind and a scarred body.
You can’t go to bed peacefully at the thought of the terrors that haunt you. You can’t even wake up without a skipping heart from a simple tap on the shoulder.
“What they did to me that night wasn’t right dad.” You shook your head as the tears only fell more.
Jake only nodded, rocking you in his arms as the tears in his eyes started to spill over.
“You’re here now, and I got you. I’m not going anywhere Y/n.” You let out a small smile at your father’s reassuring words.
“I’m gonna be here to protect you always.”
“Thank you dad.” You pulled away from the hug, still smiling. “I love you.”
“I love you more Y/n.”
Jake caught sight of the remaining tears left on your sleeked cheeks, so he brought his hands to cup your face, and gently swiped his fingers under your eyes.
“He’s cleaning your tears for you just like he had done when you were a baby.” Another voice is heard from behind you, you look to see it’s your mom, a small smile on her face as she looked at the scene in front of her.
“You were always falling, scraping your knees.” Neytiri kneeled down next to you, brushing loose strands of your hair behind your ear.
“You always tried to be a little tough guy. Holding your tears and not looking any of us in the face.” Jake laughed as he recounted the many memories.
“I was just embarrassed!” You defended yourself.
“You never complain when you’re in pain Y/n, and that scares us.” You looked at your mother.
“It scares you guys?” You asked quizzically, and Jake nodded quickly. “A lot.”
You huffed as you thought about it. There has been a lot, a lot, of times where you’ve been in pain and have never said anything.
“Sorry guys..” Your ears fold down as you feel a sense of disappointment in yourself, but your parents smile as they hug you.
“Stop apologizing Y/n.” They said in sync.
Next thing you know, other hands and bodies are felt toppling onto your hug.
“Yeah sis, you should cut that out.”
“Lo’ak, I’m gonna be nice to you this once.” You sigh in warning, rolling your eyes.
After making sure you, and everyone else had their stuff.
It was now the time to do the most difficult thing in your life.
The ceremony of your father stepping down from Olo’eyktan was soon, and you couldn’t stomach it.
Your body only felt the need to churn itself more as the sight of Awpxey came into view.
Your shoulders sagged as he got closer to you.
“If you came to tell me bad news, just don’t say anything.” All Awpxey did was hug you.
And you had obviously interpreted that wrong, thinking without asking.
You wiped your eyes as your lip quivered intensely, sniffling like a wild animal.
“I’m gonna miss you so much.” Your voice was faded and broken as you shook in his hug.
“No, no, no, no, no! Y/n, Y/n I’m so sorry I didn’t mean for it to come off like that.” Awpxey moved back and held your face in his hands.
“I’m going with you.”
It was like a heaven in your ears, as if an angel was actively talking to you.
“Really? Y-you are?” You grabbed onto his forearms to keep your balance as what he said made you dizzy.
“Yes Y/n I am, I swear!” You cupped his face, bringing him into a passionate kiss.
You weren’t really thinking much about where you were while you were freely kissing your boyfriend.
You pulled away from the kiss. “Awpxey where are your parents? I-I have to say thank you to them. I have to because they’re letting you come with me and we’re going so far.”
You scratched your head as you moved away, trying to peer into the huge crowd of people who were awaiting the ceremony to start. Trying to spot Itxä and Puo.
“We’ll find them later, okay?” He pulled your hand gently from your head, holding them in both of his hands.
You looked into his eyes, smiling giddily.
“I’m excited..” You whisper, pulling your hand to cover your smile.
“I am too.” Awpxey’s ears twitched as your laugh registered in his head.
“I’m really thankful for your parents you know… For letting you actually come with me.” You swallowed as you looked down.
“You’ve gotten me to open up. A lot. And with something like this, all I need is support.” You started to nervously chew your lip as you thought carefully for your words.
“I don’t have a lot left to give Awpxey..” Your throat started to hurt as it felt like it was closing in on itself.
“If I had to be there by myself, I don’t think I would have talked ever again.” Your voice broke. “I love you a lot Awpxey. And you have done so, so much for me. And I can’t thank you enough.”
Awpxey smiled at your words, reaching his hands up and wiping your tears away. “Don’t cry for me Y/n.. I’m happy I’m going with you. I’m going to be here to support you forever.” You laughed through your tears, nodding while you wiped you eye.
“I’ve cried a lot today already.” You laugh embarrassed. Awpxey laughed, “have you?”
You nodded, “oh yeah. Started right after I woke up.” You shook your head as you wiped your hands on your loincloth.
“Today is a stressful day Y/n, it is not your fault.” You fiddled with your hands awkwardly.
“Can I have a hug Awpxey?” You physically felt like leering the other way because of the question.
Awpxey only grinned. Without a word he wrapped his arms around you, squeezing you close to him.
You returned the gesture back, letting a deep breath go as you tried to mentally prepare yourself for what was to come.
Your father looked on from afar, watching how you and Awpxey interacted.
He doesn’t know exactly how to feel.
He’s happy, happy his first babygirl has found the love from somebody she wants.
He’s angry, angry as he feels like your being taken away from him, angry as he feels like his love wasn’t enough.
He’s sad, sad as he realizes you have finally grown up, you are no longer a baby. No longer crawling around, no longer sucking your thumb, he’s no longer rocking you to sleep.
His fingers twitch as he remembers what it was like picking you up. You were the chubbiest baby out of all your siblings. Lo’ak not to far behind.
In the end, all Jake did was let out a soft, small smile.
He is happy.
Your fingers shook as you had them held tightly to your sides. Watching closely as your father stood in front of the young warrior he was passing his title over to, Tarsem.
Your heart pounded hardly in your chest, the harmonic beat loud in your ears.
You watched as Mo’at spoke, her words going in one ear and out the other.
You couldn’t stand the moment of silence, the moment of silence right before the knife Tarsem held came down to your father’s chest.
The scream Tarsem let out rattled through you. You were so jumpy, too antsy. Your eyes wide open as you looked on in a somewhat fearful way.
Awpxey’s hand came around and fell lightly onto your lower back. “It’s okay Y/n, just breathe tìyawn, breathe.” You let out a breath you had no idea you were holding.
Your father is no longer Olo’eyktan.
Your mother’s head fell as she began to cry. You were quick to wrap yourself around her, holding her head to your shoulder.
Your heart continued to pump harshly in your chest, and Awpxey stood right behind you, his hand rubbing your shoulder warmly.
You tried your hardest to hold your tears, but it was impossible.
When your father stood back up straight, wails were audible from the crowd.
The people were almost just as sad as you. The Olo’eyktan they’ve had for almost two decades now has to step down early.
Their Toruk Makto is leaving. The man who had led them to victory against the Sky People 17 years ago.
When your family approached the crowd, the people split just like the sea. Allowing your family to walk through the middle.
People turned their heads to hide their crying faces, children watched on in sadness as they had to see you leave.
Many cried.
Not only did you babysit, but you also taught a group of children.
They loved you like you were family, and you the same. So to hear their cries for you only broke your heart more.
You had to force yourself to walk forward.
Soon, you were approaching where you all were supposed to meet your ikran.
That was until you seen Itxä and Puo.
Your knees started to feel weak and you didn’t know what to do. When you finally got close enough, you were able to see their happy but saddened faces.
“Thank you so much for letting Awpxey come with us.” You look between the both of them, your hands coming to rest over your heart. “I am forever grateful.”
Itxä smiled at you, pulling you into a hug. “I know our son loves you very much. He wouldn’t have taken no for an answer regardless of what we could have said.” You both laughed, rocking in the hug.
When you separated, you turned to Puo, the small smile you had still on your face.
“Take care of yourself Y/n. Remember to take time for yourself.” You nodded at Puo’s kind words, pulling him into a hug also.
You left to give Awpxey time with his parents. So you walked towards your grandmother, who was busying herself with petting Azraa’s head.
“Grandma.” You called, playing nervously with your shawl. Mo’at turned to look at you quickly, a bitter smile on her face.
“We are leaving soon, I wanted to say goodbye one last time.” Your grandmother only nodded, her throat too dry to force words out.
“Protect yourself over there Y/n. If you need to, always separate yourself if you need time to heal.”
“Here,” she pointed to your chest, insinuating your heart. “And here.” Placing her finger directly in the middle of your forehead.
You wrapped your arms around her, hugging her tightly.
“I’m gonna miss you grandma..” You whisper, biting back the new wave of tears.
“I will miss you too Y/n.” The two of you talked for a little bit before the rest of your family finally re-grouped and Awpxey came along.
You noticed his face was red, and you knew immediately he had to have been crying. But you didn’t say anything out loud, not wanting to put him on the spot.
Though, you did brush a finger over one of his knuckles as you stood together.
Your hands intertwined when your father started speaking.
“The journey to the clan we’re moving to is a long one.” Your dad looked through all of you. “About 5 days.” Your dad sighed.
Tuk let out an exaggerated groan, “why does it have to take so long?” Jake smiled as he responded. “So we can be safe Tuk, we need to be far away from here.” His hand came down to her head, softly running his hand through her braids.
“So we won’t make it there by tomorrow?” Her childish innocence make your heart slow a bit. She still doesn’t even know what is completely going on.
“No, we won’t make it by tomorrow Tuk.” Neytiri laughed as she reached under Tuk’s armpits, picking her up.
“You want to ride with Mama?” She spoke to Tuk kindly as she walked towards her ikran, Tuk’s nods being visible from far away.
“Let’s head out now..” Your dad merely whispered, walking with his head down as he approached his ikran, Bob.
You looked at Awpxey, nodding before exchanging a quick kiss — though it was more peck like.
You all mounted your respective ikran, flying towards the edge of the forest.
When you all were far enough, you turned to see the view.
And oh my Eywa was it beautiful.
You wished you could have enjoyed the beauty under best circumstances. This will probably be the first and last time you ever get to see a beautiful, full view of your home.
You try not to acknowledge that information as you turn around on your Ikran, facing forward ready to try and embrace this change.
The journey was tough.
Some days were hard as your family had to travel through storms. You had never seen the ocean before, and you were shocked to how angry it could get. The waves would hit high, the strikes of sounds that violently percussed off the rocks when the waves hit them punched a sense of fear in your stomach.
At one point while you were flying over a rock, a very, very strong wave reached up, going past Azraa’s stomach — her whole body — which had gotten you both drenched in saltwater, and had also pulled you down towards the relentless, unforgiving sea below.
After that, you had made sure to stay clear of being too close.
On the last day of your flight, you sighed in exhaustion as your butt felt so sore, your head feeling dizzy while your stomach turned.
At least it was sunny outside.
It was early in the day, which was great because it would give the clan you’re coming to a whole day to warm up to you. You gained the knowledge that the clan’s species was Metkayina, and the village you will be asking to live in is called, Awa’atlu.
When the island had finally came into sight, all you could do was smile. The feeling of going up and down and the swaying of flying made you feel sick, although you loved to fly, it was an action that wasn’t meant to be used long.
When you had flown over the tide pools and pass some living spaces, a loud conch was blown.
Multiple times.
It felt like the vibrations were traveling throughout your whole body, your stomach dropping as a nauseous feeling crawled up your throat.
When landing, the feeling of not being in the air felt foreign, and your body leaned forward, slumping as you blacked out for 3 seconds max. Coming to, you got off your Ikran, disconnecting from the overdue Tsaheylu, making your kuru feel sore.
People gathered quickly, spears held up towards the Sun, making the dangerous weapons glint with a deceiving shine.
Your legs shook like jello as you walked, and you held onto the gear around Azraa to keep you steady. That was until a hand wrapped around your bicep, pulling you in.
Without looking you immediately laid your head against that person’s shoulder, already knowing who it was.
“Awpxey..” You licked your dry lips as you shook your head. “I feel sick. I don’t feel good at all.”
Awpxey only rubbed your back, noticing the way your skin felt clammy as he tried thinking of something to say that won’t make you feel worse.
“We won’t be here for long Y/n, we only need to be granted the permission of sanctuary, and then you can sleep.” He whispered quietly into your ear, deciding on that as he knew how tired you must feel.
You sighed, thinking negatively and wondering what would happen if you weren't granted Uturu.
What do you do then? Are you supposed to just hold through and fly for Eywa knows how long until you finally fall upon a village that will take you in?
Your thoughts were interrupted when a creature flew over the heads of your family. You didn't put effort in ducking. Your knees were too weak and you knew that the person commanding the animal was not going to hit your family on purpose.
A man had climbed of the loud screeching creature. And by the outfit and accessories he had on, he had to be the Olo’eyktan.
And he obviously was because as soon as he was close enough, your father had greeted him with his hand coming to his forehead and down with a small bow. Looking behind himself to make sure the rest of you were following him in front of the watchful eyes of the clan.
“Olo’eyktan Tonowari, Oel Ngati Kameie.”
The Olo’eyktan was kind, he looks kind, and he was quick to greet your father, and all of you back the same way.
“Jake Sully, Oel Ngati Kameie.”
As your father and Tonowari got to talking, you closed your eyes. Trying to level your breathing and calm the waves of nausea that flipped your stomach.
Your attention was taken as you heard the shuffling of sand, and an increase of the murmurs from the clan that was gathered around you.
You reluctantly peeled your eyes open, they burned from the duration of time they were forced to be held open.
You noticed the crowd parting, making way for a figure that hasn’t yet meet your sight. Though you gained an idea as you heard the melodic rattle of what seemed to have been seashells.
Your theory was proven right when a woman had exited the crowd, her pace was slow and she walked cautiously, watching every single one of you.
You could barely focus on the conversation that was happening between your parents and the clan leaders. The only thing you could do was try to ignore the way the Sun beat your back, the usual warm, sunny feeling felt dreadful as it spread an uncomfortable heat throughout your body. This only made the feeling in your stomach worsen, your face tightened, your eyebrows stiff together.
Awpxey felt it against his shoulder, and he turned to you, concerned. “Y/n?” He seen your expression, and quickly wiped a hand against your forehead, a cold sweat was the outcome against his fingertips.
“Shit.” He mumbled, “hold on for me tìyawn, please.” Awpxey adjusted your body, holding you in a way that was comfortable for both of you as he felt your body start to slack.
“Awpxey.. ‘M s-so tired.” Your teeth chattered as your eyes began to close. “Hey, hey Y/n, can you stay awake for me?” Your eyes barely moved, but Awpxey had seen that Amber yellow and was satisfied,
He ran a hand through your sweaty hair, wanting to find a place to kiss you that wouldn’t bother you.
Before he even could, the Tsahìk was standing in front of you both, she looked at you closely.
Eywa has said something to her in her heart about you, she took a liking to you. But looking at the state you were in, it tugged her heartstrings.
It… Shifted something within her.
But before any actions were made, you couldn’t hold back the bile that emitted from your stomach.
It fell right into the sand.
Right in front of the Tsahìk’s feet.
Soon after, your legs gave out, knees buckling as you fell into the sand, Awpxey falling with you while holding you close.
“I-I’m so sorry.” You chattered out.
How embarrassing…
Though after, your heart drooping to your ass as you realized this whole little thing could jeopardize your family staying here.
The Tsahìk was quick though.
“You,” she pointed to Awpxey. “Follow my healers to one of the healing maruis, I will continue here.”
You were pulled up slowly by Awpxey, as he followed two women who stepped from the crowd.
Your father looked as he seen you walk away, your legs barely strong enough to hold you up.
It made him ridicule himself.
How had he not noticed? How had he not seen you become like this when you hopped off Azraa?
His own questions floated, floated in what seems like a pit of too many things to remember and too many things to be doing.
It’s like if his brain is running out of storage, his head working up too much.
The bouncy sensations of the walkways that allowed the Metkayina to walk around their village did little, but a lot to help you.
As you walked, the bouncing gave you a bit of a cooling sensation from the warm sweat you felt breaking out on your body, but it sure as hell didn’t help that twisting feeling in your stomach.
You still felt sick.
By the time you had finally made it to the healing tents, and by the time the women had placed a good sized bowl in front of you… You had thrown up again into it, filling it up almost halfway. The healers looked shocked, but tried their best to just continue setting up whatever they needed to make a salve for you.
Awpxey held and guided your body to a free mat in the corner, trying to shade you from the Sun peeking harshly into the marui.
One of the young healers looked on at you two in a curious bewilderment. Watching the way Awpxey sweetly spoke to you and comforted you.
Is this what love looks like?
A gentle snap in front of her face was what she got as her answer.
“Aiya!” Another young healer whispered yelled the girl’s name, calling her attention and giggling at how she looked at the both of you.
“Instead of gawking, finish grinding the powder so we can add it to the medicine!” The young girl’s cheeks darkened at the word gawking.
What gawking? She wasn’t gawking was she?
“R-Right sorry! I wasn’t gawking though!” With a reluctant breath Aiya grounded the powder until it was thinner than it was before, slowly pouring and mixing it in with the medicine they were to give you.
“How about you go take it to her Eiya? Since you, you know, enjoyed staring at them earlier.” One girl joked, and even though it was supposed to be a joke. All the other girls quickly agreed, handing the medicine to Aiya before nudging her forward, and just leaving.
And leaving. Leaving. They just left, just like that. What friends they are. They know how hard it is for her to talk to strangers.
She walked hastily, trying her best to bring you the medicine to make you feel better without spilling it.
When she reached Awpxey’s back, she poked him.
“Mh.. Give this to her, have her drink it.” She held out the small bowl, and Awpxey took it gently, explaining what you needed to do before softly placing the bowl in front of your mouth.
Aiya wanted him to work quicker. She wanted to see you get better. She had this foreign, impatient urge to… Talk to you.
When you finally finished drinking the medicine, Awpxey making sure you had every last drop, you had taken a deep breath.
The twist in your stomach started to disappear, your skin started to feel less moist and finally cooled down, feeling how it usually did any day in the Sun.
“Wow..” You whispered astonished. “I feel so much better already!” You looked between Aiya and Awpxey.
“Thank you so much for that medicine, it’s really working!” You smiled at Aiya, slowly scanning your eyes around her face.
She’s really pretty.
It wasn’t said out loud, but you and Aiya had thought it at the same time as each other. But only looking into each others eyes, you both knew exactly what the other thought.
Awpxey noticed how the both of you seemed to have clicked, though he didn’t say anything, just let it play out as he noticed you and Aiya begin to smile shyly at each other.
The scene was interrupted when the Tsahìk came walking in, it was only now that you noticed her round belly. How did you not notice it earlier?
The Tsahìk’s eyes lock onto yours, and she stepped close to you. “Come, Y/n.” You were shocked at the fact she somehow even knew your name.
But you quickly didn’t care anymore, as you remembered that you were not there when the Olo’eyktan and the Tsahìk were deciding to either let your family stay, or leave.
When you finally get up, you stand next to her, impatient.
“I come to know your name now, but I forget his.” She nudges her chin towards Awpxey. “What is his name?”
Is she playing games with you? Knowing that you want to know whether you were granted Uturu or not. Yet instead she’s asking for your boyfriend’s name.
“Awpxey. His name is Awpxey.” You rush out.
She nodded, humming a quiet “hm” before she ushered him up with her hand.
“Come, let’s go.” Now you were really nervous.
Though you all paused when she turned around and faced the girl that was in the tent.
“Aiya, you come too.” You noticed how the girl’s face was at first shocked, then lit up. Her ears perked and listening as her tail swished lowly behind her.
Now it had to have been fine if she was coming too right?
You tried not to dwell on it too much as you followed the Tsahìk on the walkways, noticing you were walking deeper into the village and through the many maruis that were built over the mangrove roots.
She was leading you to a tent, right? This definitely isn’t the way you came. There’s no way she’s leading you out.
Awpxey noticed the furrow in your brow and had reached to hold your hand, holding it in that way you both found comfortable for the uneven amount of fingers you both had.
Aiya walked behind, her stomach warm as she watched the both of you hold hands.
She wants to hold your hand…
Her eyes widened as she rubbed her forehead, trying to wipe away those thoughts.
It had to be the stress and lack of sleep she has from becoming a healer. Right? Yeah, that’s it.
Suddenly, she stopped right in front of a tent not to far from the edge of the walkways.
The ocean was not too far, and the view looked so beautiful from where you stood.
When you had looked into the tent, before your foot even hit the floor of the inside, your father was rushing towards you.
“Y/n,” his hands came to your cheeks, holding your face and examining you lightly. “You feeling okay?” His tone only held worry as his eyes stayed focus on you.
You nodded with a small smile. “I’m okay dad, swear.”
His eyebrows dropped in relief, a breath exiting his mouth. “I’m sorry for not noticing babygirl, I’m sorry.” You shook your head, grabbing onto one of his hands on your face.
“It’s okay dad, it really is. You’re stressed, I know you are. And this really came out of no where, the sickness. Either way, I feel so much better now, promise.”
With a small smile, you held out your pinky, joining it with your dad. A happy little tradition your father taught you and the rest of your siblings.
Neytiri watched on behind your father with a smile. Watching how you and your father slowly started to get closer emotionally and bond more.
It made her happy, knowing that you want to be with the family more often.
Eywa knows how broken Jake was when you had separated yourself from everyone and everything at the ripe age of 12.
When you walked deeper into the marui, you thought it was beautiful. It was definitely different, something you were not used to.
But you knew that life comes with change. And with change comes adaptions and arranging.
You took a deep breath, looking around smiling at everybody. It was really pretty in here, and the floor felt good against your feet.
Neteyam huffed a small laugh as he walked past you. “I guess Y/n likes it.” You laughed as you bumped his shoulder as he walked by.
When you turned back to the entrance, the Tsahìk and Aiya were gone.
About an hour later, when you all were almost done with placing your belongings down and putting your stuff down to sleep, your dad called a ‘Sully Family Meeting’.
Lo’ak must have known because he was a hair away from successfully leaving the tent before Neteyam chased him out, and pulling him back in.
Kiri had an attitude as Neytiri called her, responding with a moody, “what”. As she sat down.
Tuk kneeled over a covered crate next to Jake, playing with her fingers as she took deep breaths.
After a moment of silence your dad had gotten serious. “I need you kids on your best behavior, I mean it.” He looked through all of you.
“Learn fast, pull your weight.” He looked straight into Lo’ak’s eyes as he said. “Don’t cause trouble, got it.”
Lo’ak responded with a ‘yes sir’ as he knew the demand was targeted towards him.
Neteyam chuckled before he reached over, squeezing the base of Lo’ak’s neck, pulling his hand back when Lo’ak hissed to him.
Lo’ak receiving a side-eye in return.
Though you didn’t pay much attention to that as Tuk spoke up, tears in her eyes as she stated she wanted to go home.
“Aw Tuk.” Your mother looked at her with sorrow, the same sorrow she felt in her heart.
Jake took her hand, holding one of her fingers. “Tuk.. This is our home now.” He paused before a spoke again.
“Now, we’re gonna get through this.” He nodded surely, Neytiri following along also.
“We’re gonna get through this if we have each others backs, alright?” Your mother cut in, adding a quiet, “what does your father always say?”
Hesitantly looking around, waiting for someone else to speak, you all said. “Sully’s stick together.”
Though it was all out of sync..
Your dad nodded, “yeah that’s right Sully’s stick together.” He looked at Neytiri before turning back to look at all of you.
“Now this time with some feeling, yeah?” Within a few seconds you all were repeating the quote, “Sully’s stick together”, a bit louder.
Although it was still out of sync, the effort from the rest of you was present.
Kiri was doing her own thing while she said it though. You could tell that she was feeling really dejected by moving away from the forest. Hell you were too, but you tried to tune your mind to accepting that there was no changing this.
Like your dad said, this is our home now.
As the rest of the day passed, you wondered what nightfall looked like around the village. You stayed around the exit of the marui, watching the sky as it darkened little by little.
Eclipse looked the same as it did from the forest — and that made you smile — though the environment was obviously different.
You wondered if sleeping here would feel more relaxing, since you’ve always heard people fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean. You decided on just not thinking about so you’ll be more patient. You couldn’t wait to see for yourself.
Falling asleep was not easy.
Though the sounds of the ocean moving directly under your new home was nice, it was.. So different.
You weren’t entirely used too it, at all.
You know it’s going to take a while to adapt.
The next morning after a quiet breakfast, the Olo’eyktan and Tsahìk’s son and daughter, Ao’nung and Tsireya came to retrieve you and your siblings to begin training they had a friend with them, you heard his name to be Rotxo.
And you had noticed the pretty healer was with them to, Aiya was her name right?
When you approached the waters edge, the four of them dived in, you and Awpxey looking quickly at each other before diving in next.
When you had opened your eyes under water, you were shocked, entranced at the beauty that was fulfilled in the ocean.
It was beautiful. So beautiful.
You could get used to this, you smiled. Oh definitely.
Awpxey and Aiya quietly stared, looking at you and how your beauty and essence seemed to mix in with the Sea of Pandora.
Looking over at Awpxey, you smiled, a few bubbles coming out your mouth as you reached your hand out to him. He took it happily, and you pulled him down towards the sea floor, deciding on wanting to look closely at the small animals that swam about.
Tsireya watched Aiya look at you and Awpxey attentively before she made a small clicking noise with her mouth, making Aiya turn to her.
Tsireya signed a worried ‘are you okay’ to her, waiting for an answer.
Aiya nodded quickly, signing back ‘I’m okay! Just looking at them, they are so cute together!’ Her face turning to a light shade of purple, though Tsireya only seen it as the waters reflection.
One thing about Aiya, she was good at playing certain things off.
Tsireya nodded happily in agreement before turning around and swimming off to catch up to the other siblings.
Aiya turned to the direction you and Awpxey were before, though she was only met with the sight of coral, a slight frown forming on her face.
That was before she had gotten a plan.
You were ecstatic, the little specimens that passed you and Awpxey every second made you kick your feet harder to swim with them, being careful touching certain things as you don’t know what’s good or what’s bad yet.
Your head turned quickly when you seen a certainly big figure move in your peripheral. You looked closely to see it was hair flowing as someone swam around.
From the outfit you could see it was Aiya, you swam towards her, going to her front to wave happily at her. Awpxey catching up a few minutes later as he was playing with a snail.
Aiya waved to the both of you, a smile on her face as she started moving her hands in a foreign motion.
Was it sign language? This looks a bit different though… You had learned the basics of sign language when you were younger and would visit Hell’s Gate with your father, but that was American Sign Language.
Was she signing in Na’vi? Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion as you tried to decipher what she was saying.
She seemed to notice your confusion and pointed up to the surface of the water, and made a ‘come’ motion.
You nodded, kicking up to the surface and taking a deep breath as you reached the top.
She popped up next, then Awpxey. Keeping yourself afloat you had asked her, “is that sign language? What you had used while we were under?”
She nodded, “it was! Sorry for just thinking you understand right away.” You shook your head, smiling. “It’s okay, when I was younger I was taught sign language but never in Na’vi, I only know the basic stuff in English.” You giggled.
She laughed too, “I should teach you! Well, if you want me to? It might be useful.” She looked at you, waiting for you to say what you think.
“No, yeah definitely! That would be great!” You agreed immediately. Aiya looked a bit shy as she brought her hand slightly out of the water, pointing lightly behind you to Awpxey. “And him? Does he want to learn too?”
Looking behind yourself, you seen Awpxey staring up at the sky his eyes scrunched from the Sun as you can tell he was looking at the clouds.
You turned back towards her, laughing. “He’s a bit dumb, but I think he’ll like learning.” She smiled, nodding. “Let’s go to those group of rocks over there, there is a few more things you need to learn, like breathing.”
Following her, you had to turn around to bring Awpxey as he stayed looking at the sky, messing with him you pulled his hair, making him gasp as he attempted to chase you.
As Aiya stood on the rocks, she was able to see how quickly you were able to evade Awpxey in the water.
Laughing and out of breath you climbed onto the rock she was standing on, you paused as you seen her hand outstretched, but you grabbed it just in time because when she pulled you up Awpxey appeared right where you were.
Your heart was pumping amd you held your hand over it as you realized where he was. “He almost grabbed me Aiya, you saved me.” She was smiling amd nodding, but her heart felt like it was about to fall through her rib cage.
You were still holding her hand.
The cool water that was dripping from her hair to her body did nothing to cool down her skin that was beginning to grow hot.
When Awpxey was now trying to climb up the rock, she held out her hand again, acting without thinking. She was close to letting out a squeak as Awpxey clapped his hand against hers, the both of them pulling at each other to get him on the rock.
You knew.
You knew you were still holding her hand, and you swung her hand back and forth in yours, letting her know you were fully aware.
“Hey Aiya?” She turned to you, her neck stiff as tried to ignore her hand swinging together with yours. “Yeah Y/n?”
“Can we all swim a bit more? I really like how it looks underwater.” You smile shyly.
“Of course!” She nodded, you don’t have to ask me, let’s go.” You skipped excitedly to the end of the rock, making sure there wasn’t any other ones you looked at the two of them.
“Let’s jump at the same time!” Awpxey nodded quickly, tightening his hold on Aiya’s hand before lining all of you up.
Aiya’s heart was going through an overdrive. What is even happening?
After a quick countdown she was now submerged, which put her back into reality quick. Swimming through the water she found you in front of her, swimming towards the ground again.
She noticed you liked playing with the coral, running your hands over the bumpy edges and following the small fish that swam by.
After swimming around and playing for a bit, there was a clicking noise heard underwater. From what you could decipher it sounded like an animal, so you looked around curiously, expectantly.
The clicking didn’t raise anything for alarms, the clicking sounded sweet, almost as if it were only calling out. Trying to track where it was coming from, you spotted something move underwater,
You squinted your eyes quickly trying to focus, it went behind a big section of coral that wasn’t too far from in front of you, so you swam toward it.
Several seconds passed, and then a creature, almost as resembling as an ikran came from around the corner.
Your eyes widened in excitement as a smile pulled onto your face.
The animal swam towards you, gliding through the water gracefully as it approached you, placing its face close to yours, making you “cheek”-cheek with the still clicking animal.
In this moment you were beyond ecstatic, seeing a sea creature this beautiful approach you so calmly and swim around you as it nuzzled itself into your cheek.
You noticed the animals Tsaheylu pocket and gripped it gently, grabbing your queue from behind your head before you connected them softly.
Tsaheylu underwater was no joke, you almost swallowed gallons of water trying to get used to the familiar though unfamiliar sensation that was passing through your nerves system.
Testing, you gave the soft direction to swim up to the surface, and up you went, put not blazing fast. The animal pulled you at a soft but firm pace, bringing you to the oceans top like you had asked.
As you surfaced, you gasped for air before letting out an excited squeak. Looking around for any signs of Awpxey and Aiya also resurfacing. When they popped out of the water next, they both had huge thrilled smiles.
“Y/n!” They called out at the same time before swimming to you, racing somewhat.
“Guys! Guys! Look it! Look what I got!” The creature you still did not know the name of spun you on its back, letting out its own excited trills of sounds.
“Good job Y/n! The way it approached you so easily, she sensed you!” Aiya subconsciously reached for your hand. “She sensed your kind energy and strong heart.” Aiya rambled with a smile. Awpxey swam up next to the both of you, placing his hand on your knee. “Good job Tìyawn, see? You always claim you are not that special, but here we are!”
You thanked him, looking down at the creature with a shy smile, a blush accompanying your face. “What are they called?” You looked up to Aiya, softly petting the creature’s rough skin.
“They are called Ilu. A common sea animal used by many of the Metkayina for hunting, traveling and such.” You nodded, listening intently.
“They are so beautiful..” You whispered, silently admiring the eye of your Ilu, that was before she squeaked, showing her excitement.
Mid-day was approaching, and swimming for hours on end left you starved. So for lunch you and your family returned to your maruì.
For Aiya though, she thought it as unfortunate that you and Awpxey had to part ways with her.
Was it selfish? Somewhat, right?
She shook the thoughts in her head away as she was telling herself you both had to leave. Obviously to eat and nourish yourself so she can see you.
After you completely inhaled your lunch as you bragged and raved about how you tamed an Ilu, you happily stepped out your new living space.
Squinting your eyes against the Sun, you all walked to the area you agreed to meet Ao’nung and Tsireya at, you didn’t fail to see the way Lo’ak’s slouched shoulders straightened quickly once she came into view.
Hm. You tried to hold in a smile as you looked at the back of his head.
Looks like Lo’ak’s got a crush.
The rest of the day was spent learning how to properly hold your breath, learning more facts about the Ilu you are learning to ride, and information and traditions of the Metkayina.
As eclipse started to approach everyone headed home.
Everyone but you, Aiya, and Awpxey.
All the way until the stars infiltrated the sky, the three of you sat and talked about any and everything.
Maybe adapting won’t be so hard.

Tumblr media
if you grew up in a home that was more of a “children are meant to be seen not heard” schlatt will hear you out!
he will make sure you do feel heard, even when it’s hard
he knows can’t fix the past so he’ll help you learn how to do good in the future
he understands you don’t mean to be angry or upset sometimes but you just are and will wait until you want to talk about it
he’s wants to be there for you through the good and the bad and the awful
onto the less angsty
yk how his fam is big corn people?
ELOTES/ESQUITES!!
he will eat tf out of some esquites or any street food as a matter of fact
likes going to tianguis, la pulga, etc. with you!
especially the cheap ass prices at a pulga
throw in some chicharrón bien preparado n call it a date
likes looking for places to go eat with you
has made it a saturday morning tradition that you both go eat pancita (or anything you like) at a restaurant for breakfast/brunch
it hits everytime, especially when you’re both hungover
likes his gansitos frozen (no i’m not taking criticism)
keeps little snacks or candies in his pantry/fridge all the time
calls u “cariño” “corazón de melón” “vieja” “amor” “chiquita” “chikibaby”etc. especially if one of the nicknames pisses u off

he genuinely puts so much love and passion into your relationship, getting you flowers, making the most out of little moments, etc.
he will be as romantic as he can be
meeting your cousins sucks for him though
they (especially if you have any male cousins) side eye him most of the time when they first meet him
they don’t mean to be rude but wtf is a random boy doing in their home???
your male cousins (esp if they see you as a little sister) don’t think anyone is good enough for you
they try to scare off schlatt at first but it doesn’t work so they try plan B
making him stay stupid shit in spanish infront of the family until he gets embarrassed and decides not to return (spoiler it doesn’t work)
“say ‘tengo el pene chiquito’ ” a cousin says to schlatt “tengo el pene chiquito(i have a small dick)?” schlatt asks as they snicker and nod “yeah just like that, don’t change a word” they say laughing while schlatt nods in acknowledgment
“ok, just don’t change a word” they say laughing while you go up to schlatt “y/n, guess what?” he asks you “hm?”
te voy a dar mis hijos (im gonna give you my kids)” he says making you go red and your cousins stare at him
“hablas español (you speak spanish)?” they ask as he nods
most of your family interrogating him AND you
“does he treat you well?” “does he make good money?” “would he make you work” “cuantos hijos quiere (how many kids does he want)?” “es católico? (is he catholic)” etc.
at the end they decide that they approve of him
he should watch him back if you guys have a nasty break up though (warned by any male family member of urs)
“haha, just don’t break her heart” one of your uncles says to schlatt, laughing and shaking him as schlatt laughs nervously
“no seriously, hurt her and you’re dead, i’ve been to prison, i’ll go again”
at the end of the day as long as you’re happy, they’ll be happy

a question to all the mfal characters who aren’t yn and jeno
have you ever witnessed them doing something cute and romantic and thought “damn they’re kinda adorable” ??
wait this question is so cute 🥹🥹
warning - BIG SMUT, threesome implication
donghyuck - once i walked into them and i was gonna leave but i can’t lie, i secretly stood the side and just watched, shit was so hot. i was so turned on
yn - [hits donghyuck] what the fuck?
donghyuck - it was so hot. you can’t blame me. it was like i was watching some irl sexy promo. jeno kept slamming his cock in and out of her, like every minute. i got hard cos i just saw the wetness leaving yn’s pussy and slicking up every time jeno pulled out, only for him to slam in again, and all of these juices and milky strings would attach to his juicy juicy cock and then he’d fuck it all into yn again. the sounds of yn’s wet pussy… jesus. he’d do it through their orgasms as well. i left after 5 minutes but i heard it for hours, these dirty cute animals were doing this all night long. i remember thinking “shit, they’re cute, i respect them.” yn kept screaming daddy and jeno kept slapping her ass and boobs, it was genuinely the best sight i’ve ever seen. i dream of it. yn kept begging jeno to cum in her and me and jeno were both a bit confused cus ??? what else has he been doing the entire night
yn - [shocked, jeno holding her back as she’s ready to throw hands and kill donghyuck] you just stood there and watched us?? fucking perv
jeno - [unfazed and turned on] i remember that hyuck, i fucked her so dumb she kept asking me to cum in her although that was what i had been doing for hours. once my girls hit her 4th orgasm of the session, she starts chatting shit
donghyuck - shits so hot
jeno - next time we do that you can join [winks at donghyuck and blows him a kiss, hisses when yn flicks her finger against his forehead with force.]
donghyuck - [facing yn, licking his lips and palming his bulge] u know me and jeno have kissed before, right?
yn - don’t pull this shit with me now, jeno’s kissed half the people on campus, i know. don’t fucking remind me.
jeno - baby, it’s more like 3/4 of campus
yn - that’s it, no sex for three weeks.
jeno - [smirks playfully] i’ll just fuck donghyuck
yn - [copies jeno’s smirk] i’ll just kill you
jaemin - yeah, i won’t ever tell them but they’re pretty cute and melt my heart
jeno - please, you tell me that all the time
jaemin - anyways, when yn and jeno graduated they both got a lot of opportunities to do internships abroad which means they have to be apart for a few weeks. they’re both so smart and care about their future so ofc they won’t pass up on the opportunities. it’s quite sad but equally heart warming when i see them say their goodbyes. they’ll hug each other at the airport for so long and it’s just sweet seeing jeno comfort her because yn gets really emotional but somehow jeno can help control it? i think it’s a superpower, i’ll hear or see yn crying her eyes out and then jeno comes up to her and hugs her and holds her and they share a few kisses, jeno whispers some sweet shit to her, he just is an overall comfort to her and it only takes a few mins for her to go back to normal.
heejin - once jeno brought me and yn tickets to some play we had been geeking out about. at first jeno wasn’t gonna come because he probably just wanted to give me and yn friendship time but yn didn’t really read the room and begged him to come 😭😭 i mean tbf i told him to come to because he’s also a fan of this play. he didn’t listen to me but yn gave him puppy dog eyes and smiled and worked her magic so he just had to say yes lmao. i’m used to third wheeling them lmao but they were pretty cute that night, they didn’t make me feel sick. it’s the little things they do, the eye contact, yn truly looks up at him and she’s the physical description of this emoji ‘🥹’ you can literally see their pupils dilate when they look at each other. you can feel the love in the atmosphere. it makes me believe that love actually is all around.

You sat in the booth with the hair stylist next to you, “I’m telling you, today’s shoot was really good” slurred the director, as he placed a hand on yours while he leaned over the table, “if you and Kenny had just a little bit more chemistry, we’d all be rolling in money” he hiccuped and looked to Kenny and the older man just puffed on his cigarette, “come on, you enjoyed yourself… you can’t deny that” the director continued on as if he was trying to set you and Kenny up on a date, “director Vanché, I think it’s time we finished, the actors are probably tired and you promised to show me your new kitten” smiled the producers, you looked to the young man and offered him a smile as to say ‘thank you’. The two man left and you sighed in relief, the hair stylist next to you giggled and you looked at her, “what?” You asked with a raised brow and she shook her head, “I don’t think you’re gonna like it, but he’s right… if the both of you had a little more of a spark, you’d be very popular… and not just for our company” she raised her drink to her lips and took a sip of her beer, giving everything a minute before continuing on, “it’d be very big paycheque for both of you… and honestly I think you’d both think it’s more then worthwhile, at least considering how much you’d both enjoy yourself” she chuckled along with the other two stylists sitting at the table, while you could only blush.
Of course you enjoyed it, Kenny has a perfect cock and he knows how to use it perfectly, he’s had many years to become an expert at sex and he’s been with more women then you could ever imagine, while you have really only ever relayed on your looks and body, which is exactly why you got into porn because you didn’t need to be good at pleasing others you just needed to look good while taking it.
You just couldn’t possibly imagine Kenny wanting to be with you outside of work, because why would he waste his time on a little girl who is as useless in bed as a bag of cold sand. You looked down at your drink, before quickly drinking down all of it in one go, your face beginning to instantly heat up as the alcohol began to effect you, “wow… that was quick, what ya so desperate to get drunk for?” Asked the man that had been silently sitting and puffing on his cigarette this entire time, you looked up at him, “can you believe this bullshit? They want us to fuck again… haha! Yeah right, like you’d want to do that” you laugh and throw your head back against the back of the chair, you heard chairs shuffling and moving, when you looked up again you noticed everyone but Kenny had left, “and what if I do, then what? Ya gonna deny me? Not let me have ya?” He asked as he put out his cigarette and stood, “or will ya only open those sweet legs, if yer gettin’ paid? Cause I can arrange that” he chuckled and leaned back in his chair, you stiffen for a moment, “you want to again?” You looked off to the side and he laughed sitting back in the chair before crossing one leg over the other, Kenny eyed you down and waited for more from you, however you just stayed silent and watched one of the wall intensely. “Alright come on get up, we’re leavin’” he hummed and stood before leaning over the table and grabbing your arm pulling out of the booth with him.
You stayed silent as Kenny led you to some very flashy and modern looking love hotel, you stood on the other side of the lobby watching as Kenny chatted away with the receptionist who happened to be a very beautiful woman who was probably in her mid forties, she hand him the key and a paper bag before looking to you and giving you a wink, you smiled shyly and she chuckled, Kenny ushered for you to follow him down the dimly lit hallway, before you both reached a door with the number 850.
You sat on the bed only in your underwear, Kenny had discarded your clothing somewhere in the room, the man stood before you as he removed his shirt, he grabbed your face as he unbuckled his belt, “ya look so pretty, uh bet people love havin’ such a cute girl under ‘em” he chuckled and tucked some hair behind your ear, however you only blushed and looked away, “no no… don’t look away… look at me… focus on me… only me, doll” Kenny leant down to you and once getting your attention he stood again before opening his pants and pulling out his member.
You watched intensely as Kenny pumped his semi, you noticed he dropped his member and looked at you expectingly, “yer ain’t gettin’ fucked, if ya ain’t workin’ for it, sweetie” he smirked and you looked down at his still slightly soft member.
You move forward on your hands and knees, moving a hand up Kenny’s leg before gripping his shaft, you pumped him slowly as you looked up at him, Kenny chuckled at your doe eyed expression and gently rested a rough hand on your cheek, “suck me, doll” he spoke in a rasped whisper, you felt your cunt clench before you giggled, you bit your lip and shook your head. Kenny gave you a raised eyebrow however before the man could speak, you leaned in and began kissing over his hips, at first you gave his hip soft feather like kisses that made goosebumps form on Kenny’s arms and legs, before you moved onto more sloppy kisses and licking over his hips and lower abdomen, this caused Kenny to pulled your hair into a makeshift ponytail and pull your head back and up towards him. The man leant down getting right in your face, “start fuckin’ suckin’ bitch” he grunted out before yanking you back down to his member, Kenny straightened up and looked down his nose at you, you pressed a soft peck to his tip before slowly sliding him into your mouth.
Kenny’s pre-cum tasted funny, it was salty and bitter but it somehow made your cunt tingle and your mouth water, suckled on his tip, licking over his slit and wrapping your tongue around him with shallow bobs of your head, honestly you were more then ready to shove the man onto the bed before climbing him and going to town on his one-eye monster, however he told you to suck him, so that’s exactly what you were going to do.
Kenny groaned and brushed his fingers through your hair, you moaned and took him deeper, gagging and choking in the process, “woah woah, darlin’ yer tryin’ to kill yerself?” He questioned with a grin, looking up at the man had your cunt quivering, you ignore all your throats protecting and took him as deep as he’d allow, until nothing was left, your lips met the scruffy bush of pubs as your nails dug into his thighs, Kenny’s lips were turned up into a smirk and his eyes were narrowed while he watched you, the man took a sharp breath in and let out a hiss before pulling you off him, “that’s enough, yer pretty good at that” he chuckled before grabbing your hips and forcing your hip to the edge on the bed before placing a pillow under them, Kenny grabbed under your knees and forced your thighs apart and then pushed your knees right up to your chest, you groaned at the strain on your hips, however Kenny only chuckled and rubbed his thick tip between your quivering folds, “oh fuck… Kenny please!” You whined as the underside of his shaft rubbed over your clit, however the man only smirked and pulled back.
Whining and complaining you reached a hand down and began rubbing yourself before slipping a finger in, you moaned and moved the finger quickly in a desperate attempt to get off, “ya know, I’m likin’ the look of this… keep playin with that pussy baby girl” the man watched your finger disappear deeper and deeper inside you, though no matter how much you push and press you weren’t able to put enough pressure on your g-spot, “I- I can’t… not enough” you cried and felt Kenny release one of your leg.
Without warning the man push two of his fingers into you, not giving you a chance to pull out your own finger before his hand cupping yours, you gasped loudly at the fullness before the man began to move yours and his fingers in and out guiding them into your spot, you moaned and grabbed his wrist. “I can’t… it’s- it’s too much… dear god!” You cried out and involuntarily rocked your hips into his slow motion of both your fingers, “too much?” Kenny questioned with a chuckle before he leant down and wrapped his lips around you clit, the man switched between suckling and blowing raspberries on your sensitive bud, you cried and moaned grabbing his head pulling him impossibly close to you while your free leg squeezed around his shoulder, you pushed yourself into him as you quickly reached your high, you felt your cunt squeeze tightly around both yours and Kenny’s fingers.
Kenny felt his member throb and pre-cum leak from him, he was certain that if everything kept up like this he’d cum, he honestly began to feel like a young teenager again, desperate and unable to control himself, he felt eager and ready for you, your moans and pleas only encouraging him, Kenny pulled back while keeping his tongue on you, he laid his hot muscle flat on your clit, slowly beginning to massage it while watching you intensely as your body quivered and your face contorted, you fell over the edge as you watched him watching you, “oh dear god…! Fuck me kenny! Please Kenny… please” you cried loudly moaned between every word only getting louder the longer Kenny continued to lick you cunt, even after removing his and your fingers from you, his tongue continued to work you to a other orgasm, pulling away and grabbing your leg that was resting on his shoulder before moving it up to press it against your chest, after a few more slow licks over your cunt Kenny leaned up and quickly slipped his member into you.
It was silent as his hips slowly moved back and forth as his lips captured yours, you moaned and whined against his lips but the sound was just swallowed up, you wondered for moments if this was what your coworkers meant by good chemistry but that thought was quickly forgotten when Kenny pressed into your spot.
You completely lost yourself, your eyes watered and lips quivered as your toes curled and back arced, you moaned nonsense as the man’s hips pressed into yours, it was a stark contrast to your interaction earlier in the day.
Kenny was being sweet, slow and oh so gentle, it felt like heaven, it was so out of the ordinary, you had been railed plenty of times, almost with every partner you’ve had, however this was different in so many ways, “yer so warm baby” Kenny moaned as he pulled back and looked down at where your hips meant, “yer swallowin me up” the man groaned and let go of your legs, moving his hands to your waist holding you tightly in place, he took a deep breath in and closed his eyes, tilting his head back and contacting all his muscles.
Kenny’s muscles on arms and legs flexed and his chest expanded with his deep breathes, while his stomach tightened making his abdomen tensed up and his waist appeared smaller. The man looked like heaven itself, like a Greek statue, you could feel the throbbing of his cock and could tell why the man was calming himself down.
Kenny wasn’t ready to cum, but you sure as hell was ready for him, regaining all your senses you squeeze around him, trying to encourage him to continue, however this caused the man to slowly begin to pull out, in your desperation you wrapped your legs tightly around his hips, while also leaning up and grabbing roughly at his waist, your nails dug and stretched at his skin causing him to hisses sharply and glare down his nose at you. “Kenny… please… back in…” you moaned your legs tightening more and your fingers finally getting a good grip on him, as you push him back into you and locking him in place with your legs, “back in… nice and deep” you moaned as one of your hands move up Kenny’s arm while the other rest on the mattress before helping you raise up from the bed. You wrap your arms around Kenny neck and you lick his earlobe “Kenny… you have to fuck me… you have to fill me” you whisper dirtily and play with the hair on the back of Kenny’s neck, the man raised a leg on to the bed and began to slowly bounce you on his member.
Your hands grip onto his shoulders tightly as he moved his body to sit back on the bed, “yer being real confident baby…” he chuckled breathlessly while he laid flat on his back, he then guided your hips into as soft rock, “ya better get workin for this cum” he looked down at you swallowing him up, you moaned beginning to grind and roll your hips, Kenny’s eyes moved up your body, he seemed to be mesmerised by the way it moved, “ya got some nice tits on ya” he groaned as he moved his hand up your waist and to your chest squeezing and massaging the flesh.
You were certain you’d cum soon, despite your best efforts Kenny still looked calm, relaxed and nowhere near ready to cum, though the occasional twitch or throb made you second guess that, you mustered all the courage you had, “raise those knees for me, would ya?…” You slightly mimic Kenny’s accent still unsure, he look up for your breasts and gave a crooked smile, “now why’d I do that?” He grunted eyes shifting back down to your cunt before quickly back up to your face, “how else ya gonna see my pussy swallow up yer cum” you fully committed to the accent and moved yourself into a squatting position.
With a laugh Kenny lifted his knees and you leaned back resting your hands on them, you opened your legs and began grinding up and down on his cock, giving him a full view of everything. Kenny reach down the side on the bed and grab his phone, resting his other hand behind his head he tapped away on his phone before hitting record, “let’s show the boss how well we’re gettin along” he chuckled looking at you through the phone, you moaned surprisingly enjoying being recorded despite it normally feeling like work, you whined as you quickened your pace, “fuck Kenny… I’m gonna cum” you throw your head back and whined, reaching a hand down you began to fondle Kenny’s sack determined to get him to cum, the man hissed reaching up and grabbing one of your breasts, before giving it a good slap keeping the camera focused on you, “fuckin slut!” He grunted and grabbed you breast, squeezing it roughly this time, “dirty cum hungry slut!” His accent coming through heavier as his words slurred together. Kenny let out a loud groan then a harsh grunt before rutting his hips up, this caused you to lose your balance and almost fall forward, but it hardly mattered as you felt it, Kenny had finally given in, it was hot and felt amazing, you were certain you could get used to this feelings.
You quickly pulled Kenny out of you and turned over, you felt Kenny grab your ass, massaging the flesh before spreading your lips, getting a good view of your abused hole, you then decide to push and force a large amount of Kenny’s cum out of you, the man groaned and your felt his fingers start playing with your folds smearing his cum all over your cunt and then fingering it back in you, “baby, ya think we’re gettin along well enough for ‘em” he asked and you moaned as he scissored his fingers in and out of you, before pulling them out completely and showing the camera just how dirty they were.
“Ya sure…? Uh don’t have to send it, just keep it between us sweetie” Kenny rested a hand on your stomach while the other tap away on his phone, “well does it look good? I only want to send it if it looks good” you moved your foot up and out of the bath water, playing with the tap as it dipped water, Kenny laughed and moved his hand up your body to your throat tilting your head back against his shoulder, “yer fuckin kiddin me, right?!” He laughed more before kissing your cheek and leaning into your ear, “ya looked fuckin perfect” he whispered and moved your phone into your view, before hitting play on the video.
Hours later you sat in your living room watching all the replies to the video, Kenny had opted to sending the video file to the work group chat under the name ‘team building exercise’, and the replies have been coming in ever since, it was safe to say your boss was pleased with the outcome and had already begun planning the next few projects.

Wrath
“No! No! No!” Lisa screeched, pumping her fists impotently and stomping her feet like a petulant toddler. A thick disposable diaper crinkled noisily between her legs. “I’m not gonna wear them anymore! I’m not! You can’t do this to me! “I need the toilet now, so get out of my way! I’m a CEO! I’m your boss!”
“Not anymore, Lisa,” said her former assistant. His eyes sparkled with satisfaction as he took in the sight of his nightmare of an ex-boss throwing an absurd tantrum, her usual expensive suit swapped for a bulky adult nappy and nothing else.  “You lost your position, remember? Now you’re just my little dependent. And I’ve decided that you need regular discipline. I know from experience that nappies are the best way. My mum used diaper discipline on my older sister when we were growing up, and nothing sweetened her attitude more than having to go uh-oh in her undies and ask for changes.”
“You can’t discipline me!” Lisa screamed. “I’m an adult! I don’t need to be disciplined!”
“Oh yes you do, little girl,” her ex-assistant said sternly. “You’ve proved you’re far too immature to be treated like an adult, Lisa. Anyone could see you don’t have the mental capacity to take care of yourself anymore, not since these tantrums of yours started getting out of control. Well, more out of control than they used to be, anyway. Personally, I’ve always thought you were just an overgrown little brat who needs a firm hand, and I’m legally your caregiver now, so it’s up to me whether you get disciplined or not.”
Lisa let out an ear-piercing shriek. “NO! NO! NO! NO! I’m an adult! I’m thirty! I don’t wanna be treated like a stupid toddler anymore!”
“Then stop throwing silly little temper tantrums like one, sweetie.”
“But I can’t!” Lisa wailed furiously. “You did something to me! You put something in my coffee, I know it! Before I drank it, I was fine! But now I can’t… I can’t…”
“You can’t control your emotions anymore?” he asked with a smirk.
Lisa burst into tears and started jumping up and down in anger. This wasn’t fair! She knew she looked utterly stupid, bouncing on the spot with her breasts jiggling about, wearing nothing but a nappy, she there was nothing she could do. No matter how hard she tried, she just couldn’t control herself! She’d been declared mentally incompetent after a series of toddler-style meltdowns in the boardroom, ever since her assistant had given her that cup of coffee with that dark smile on his face, and he had been delighted to take her in. The worst thing was that nobody even seemed very surprised. She’d had a reputation for exploding with anger at her employees, and all of them seemed to think she was getting exactly what she deserved.
Suddenly, Lisa let out a gasp. Her bladder, which she had been clamping down on desperately while she tried to get past her new Daddy, finally gave in, and she felt a horrible warmth spreading across her crotch, soaking into the thirsty padding of her baby pants.
“Noooooo!” she whined pathetically, clutching between her legs.
“Awww,” her Daddy taunted cooingly. “Did baby have a widdle accident?”
“You made me!” Lisa cried, screwing up her face in disgust as she felt pee sloshing around in her pants. She hopped from foot to foot as if she were trying to get away from the icky feeling, but her diaper just swung pendulously between her legs and squished against her thighs. “Ew! Ew! Ew!”
“You’ll get used to it, little one,” her ex-assistant mocked. “In fact, after a while you won’t even be able to control yourself anymore! Won’t that be the cutest thing? The big bad boss turned into a helpless little pants-wetter. Only, I don’t think there are going to be any pairs of big girl pants in your future, Lisa. Just an awful lot of diapers.”
Lisa fought as hard as she could to stop herself from breaking down again, scowling furiously up at the man who’d turned her into a joke.
But he just chuckled. “You’re not scary anymore, silly baby. What are you going to do to me? Oh wait… I think I already know.” He grinned. “Go on, sweetie. Be a good little girl and show Daddy. You used to think you were real tough when you were the boss, but now you’re just a dumb baby in a wet nappy. So what’s the worst you can do?”
Lisa couldn’t stop herself. She showed him. She fell to the floor and started wailing at the top of her lungs, kicking her legs and pounding the carpet. Tears poured down her cheeks, and her pissy diaper squelched against her privates, and she did the only thing she could do when she got angry, the thing she’d never be able to stop herself from doing ever again – she threw the loudest, fussiest temper tantrum she could.
And when Daddy dragged her over to the corner and spanked her bottom and told her she wouldn’t be getting a nappy change until bedtime, all she could do was cry.

hotd episode three thoughts:
episode was titled ‘the burning mill’ for the battle of the burning mill and we only get to see the aftermath. no black aly, no bloody ben, just pain and suffering.
“i can’t fault him for upkeeping his oath.” is such a lame excuse, since he tried to kill her last episode, they could’ve just had her say she wants to honor erryk and his sacrifice by allowing him to have peace with the brother he still loved despite everything.
i went from ‘i still kind of care about you even though i’m not a big fan of the changes’ in regard to rhaenys to full on dislike. good job condal!! “maybe you can talk peace with alicent (she has proven time and time again her demon spawn will not listen to her) 😜 luke taking aemond’s eye started the war (a 7 year old defending his brother 6 years ago caused the war, sure jan) 🤪 im gonna imply you being practical about the war’s inevitably will cause me to stop supporting you 😋 just in a silly goofy mood 😛😛”
i liked mysaria and rhaenyra’s conversation, and appreciate the setting up for addam claiming seasmoke.
gwayne fucking hightower had more speaking lines than jace. glad to see he pissed his pants when confronted with moondancer however.
baela>>> arguably best part of the episode. dany’s theme playing over her and moondancer’s entrance is reaffirming my fancast <3
corlys whining about joffrey only being six and knowing nothing of the sea is honestly hilarious since that’s how most heirs start off as? also not surprised he doesn’t consider rhaena good enough to be his heir when he’s proven time and time again he’ll only support women in power if it benefits him. can’t wait to watch greencels bend over backwards and claim this is rhaenyra’s fault once again !
actually the way rhaena was treated this episode is just major ick vibes. the writers have this obsession with making every non-dragon rider targ a liability to their family? which makes no sense at all, but they couldn’t even include one line of rhaenyra saying she was sending rhaena to the vale for her safety to? i’m glad she told her upfront she was entrusting the future of their house to her (an omen for morning? i’m not holding my breath) but still.
you mean to tell me aemond’s biggest adversary in life wasn’t his toddler nephews??? but instead his big brother??? who has no redeeming qualities and proves he’s willing to hurt him to feed his own ego??? shocked, i tell you. absolutely shocked. ‘true brotherhood’ defenders are going to lose their shit when aemond attempts to kill aegon next episode (apparently twice? for once i’ll be on his side i guess).
the showrunners brought dyana back just to have her serve the man who raped her and be sexually assaulted again, what a feminist take!
had to see a dude get sucked down in the same scene. now i need luke to take my eye(s) out too.
i did NOT need to see aemond’s dingaling what the fuck
baelon’s… bastard… son? the same baelon who was head over heels in love with alyssa? the same baelon who never took another wife nor even looked at another woman after her death? the same baelon who’s sister couldn’t even convince him to take her to wife? vaegon having a bastard would be more believable.
helaena apparently doesn’t give a shit about jaehaerys! more absolute bangers from the writing department. instead of going mad over this loss and deliberately throwing herself out her window she’s going to see a really pretty butterfly that she must have and accidentally tumble over the balcony.
rhaenys praising jaehaerys is so fucked, he’s the reason you’re not queen right now, and he laid the groundwork for the greens to have any claim at all EAT MY ASS
why is alys american.
daemon’s harrenhal arc seems very interesting -so far- it was great to milly’s rhaenyra again (also am i the only one that thought she was holding a baby, jace or a hypothetical ‘what if daemon married her to begin with’ and not sewing up jae’s head) also “you will die in this place” is peak foreshadowing honestly.
alicent continues to pull the ‘i didn’t think the leopards would eat MY face!!!’ “i have perhaps been unkind but never dishonest” copium much??? you deliberately made rhaenyra and her kids life’s a living hell bc she managed to find happiness in her situation and you couldn’t stand that.
that sept scene was dumb as shit but at least rhaenyra has exhausted every single option possible for no war and her antis can shove it and be reminded that she’s the only monarch that gave a shit about the destruction about to happen. ‘team neutral’ team fucking idiot more like.
episode is rated 2/10 for baela, rhaena, jace/joff/aegon/viserys crumbs, and house blackwood mention.
