“Going to pearls,” a woman spoke as she got into his car. “What’s your name?” He asked to confirm. “Y/n,” she said. The man turned around, realizing that this young lady was alone.
Usually, he picks up a huge group. That’s why he has a limousine, but she’s alone and has no one on her guest list.
“You gonna drive, handsome?” Y/n asked. Logan quickly turned back around and began driving. He was surprised by the nickname, but he let it go. He’s been called everything by now.
Logan’s been driving for ten minutes, music low, and y/n looking out the window. He’s never felt this awkwardness because it wasn’t him and only one person in the car.
“So — Friends busy?” He asked. Y/n slowly turned her head, looking at the man in the mirror. “All canceled. As always,” she added before she looked back out of the window.
“Oh,” he said, feeling a bit bad. He could see she paid one hundred for every hour tonight, and he would be with her for six hours.
“I mean, I can talk to my job, probably give you a refund or somethin,” he said, feeling like he should help her in some way. Usually, the man couldn’t care less, but y/n’s a young woman going to a club alone.
“I’ll be fine — Guess all the drinks I bought will be for me,” she said in a low voice that pained Logan to hear. She seemed sweet, and her friends canceled out on her. All of them.
“What was this for? Like, tonight? What did you have planned for tonight?” He kept a conversation going which confused y/n. His profile says he preferred not to talk and that he wouldn’t talk first.
“Well, it’s kind of my birthday, so — Yeah,” y/n sighed. “Oh, well — Happy birthday?” He said, not knowing if it was appropriate. The woman giggled to herself at his attempt to make her feel better.
“Are you sure you don’t wanna drink? I’ve got plenty and I can’t leave with any bottles,” she said, pointing to the bottles on the table, all hard liquor and only one juice for a mixture.
“I kind of have to drive you back home,” Logan turned down her offer, which he’d never done before. “C’mon! It’s my birthday,” she smiled at the man as she raised a bottle for him to take.
Logan waved her off, wanting to be responsible and think about her life that could be at stake, but he still felt bad about the empty spaces on the couches.
“Fine, but only if you don’t report me,” he joked, making her laugh as she took a bottle herself. “Cheers to me and my only friend who showed up which is the bodyguard,” she raised her drink.
“Cheers,” the man chuckled before raising the drink to his lips. He watched the girl drink, thinking it would be a small amount like any young lady, but her — She had almost chugged half the bottle.
“Woah, bub — Don’t hurt yourself,” he said, making her roll her eyes playfully. “Oh, don’t be mad because I can drink more than you,” she said, wanting to have some kind of fun tonight. Getting her bodyguard drunk and then driving her home sounds like a fun story to tell.
“Trust me, y/n — You can’t,” he said, but y/n didn’t believe him. That was until he shrugged his shoulders and chugged the whole bottle. The expression across her face was stunned. She’s never seen anything like that before.
“What the fuck,” she whispered. “Yeah — Kinda my power,” he chuckled. The man turned around to start his job and stood outside of her closed section until she spoke.
“Wait! I-I’m kind of alone so I don’t mind if you — stay? Please, I kind of feel like shit,” she admitted. She told her friends she was completely fine about their cancellation, but she’s not. She lost a lot of money and her mood was talk.
Logan couldn’t turn the offer down just like the last, so he stayed. The two drank all night, finishing every last bottle. She even got him to dance with her which he wouldn’t have done with anyone else. He had no idea what’s gotten into him tonight.
“God, tonight was fun,” y/n said as the man turned the corner where her apartment was. “Yeah, it was,” Logan smiled as he took a quick look at the young lady who was now sitting in the passenger seat, body turned towards him.
“You don’t understand how much I appreciate you, Mister Logan. You were the best fun I’ve had in like years!” She admitted. He wasn’t scared to drink and dance like most of her friends were.
“You’re the most fun I’ve had in maybe forever,” Logan meant it, but she had no idea who this man was. She was too sad to notice when she first met him and now she’s too drunk to realize.
“Is there a way I can repay you? Maybe like a cup of tea? I don’t fuckin’ know,” y/n laughed with him. “I don’t know, hun, I kind of have to get back home,” he said.
“How far do you live from here?” She asked. “About thirty minutes,” he said. “Oh, no,” she gasped. He’d been drinking because of her, and now she was going to have him drive back and half an hour just to get him.
“Don’t worry, bub. I've been doin’ this a lot,” he said. “Yeah, but I’ll be stressed all night. Please, stay the night. I have a spare room? It’s the least I can do,” she said, sounding like a beg. “God, it’s hard to turn you down. Do you know that?” He said as y/n smiled.
Logan parked the car for the night before y/n got him situated in her spare room. “Still want tea?” She asked. “I think I’ll be fine, bub,” he said. “But a shot would due,” he added. He had seen the liquor drawer she had.
“Comin’ right up, handsome,” she said before walking off. As she did, he couldn’t help but watch her figure. He scanned her dress earlier, but she looked way better just now. Maybe it was the alcohol? He didn’t know.
“You always drink this much?” She asked. “Yeah, and you?” He asked as she handed him his shot before sitting next to him with hers. “As you can see,” she giggled.
“Cheers to a goodnight with a man I brought back from the club?” She couldn’t help herself. “Cheers,” the man downed the drink as he watched her. She’s looked so drinking…
“God, that it’s hard,” she shook her head. “Yeah,” he aimlessly said as he watched a drop of liquor roll down her lip. “Hey, c’mere,” the man said, softly turning her face before wiping the liquor from her mouth.
Y/n was shocked and silent, not knowing what to do after. That seemed so sweet, but at the same time, she was drunk out of her mind.
“They look pretty,” the man spoke, breaking the silence. His thumb grazed her bottom lip, loving the smooth feeling of them. “Really?” She asked low, feeling shy all of a sudden. She hasn’t been all night until now.
“Mhm hm,” he mumbled as he slowly leaned into her. She felt like she was in a trance the way she felt she needed to lean in. Her heart was raising until their lips touched.
At first, it was sweet and slow, maybe a little tongue but after they both opened and locked eyes, they couldn’t help it.
Y/n quickly hopped on top of Logan, now grinding on his hips as he held her up by her ass. The man was shocked at her aggression and dominance but couldn’t complain.
“You taste so good,” she said under her breath as she kissed him. “I’m glad I took you home,” she added before moving down to his neck. She felt this hard urge to mark the man she hardly knew.
“Fuck, y/n,” Logan moaned low. He knew his voice could go that high. Y/n hummed into his neck, sucking long and rough to make sure he was living here marked up.
“Can feel how hard you are. Bet you’ve been waiting for me to touch you all night, hm?” She asked, hands traveling down his stomach until she could palm his clothes cock.
“Mhm hm,” the man whined at her grip. “Words, baby,” she demanded in a soft voice. “Y-Yes, baby,” the man’s mouth went slack at her touch. “So good,” she said before pushing him down in the bed.
“Gonna be good for me tonight?” She asked as he nodded quickly. “Gonna be my birthday gift, baby?” Y/n had lifted her dress before fondling with his belt. “Yes, yes, I am,” he couldn’t hide his heavy breathing.
“Oh god — You’re a big boy, aren’t you?” Y/n pulled Logan’s cock out. He was heavy and huge. “Yes, I am,” he answered, wanting to be good for her. He wanted to make her proud. He wanted to make a woman he barely knew, proud.
“He looks hungry,” y/n stroked the man, watching his pre cum leak from the tip. Y/n spat on the man’s cock, making his eyes widen because no one has ever done that to him before. They’d just wrap their mouth around him or push him inside with no preparation.
“Gonna feel so good,” y/n lifted her hips before sliding all the way down in one go. “F-Fuck,” the man cried out, his already bucking up into her.
“Fuck — Could you be my bodyguard every night?” She jokingly asked but the man nodded back so quickly, she thought about it. Maybe he isn’t too bad. He was fun tonight. He could be fun every night.
“Gonna let me wet you every night, baby?” Y/n asked as she leaned down on his body. “Fuck, yes — I wanna be with you every night,” the man’s hips moved slightly up into y/n, causing her to clench around him from how deep he gets.
“How old are you again, baby?” Y/n asked. “Two hundred,” the man’s hands gripped y/n’s ass, not thinking about his response. “A man with a sense of humor — So hot,”
Y/n rolled her hips, grinding on the man to feel every thick and long inch in her. The way his skin rubbed her walls, made her squeeze around him. He was close but felt embarrassed about how short he was going to last.
“Gonna cum for me, baby?” Y/n asked, seeing the man bite his lip, trying to focus on holding back. “C’mon — I want you to fill me,” y/n whispered in his ear before giving it a light slick.
“Fuck,” the man let out a shaky moan as his legs shook. “C’mon, baby — Cum in me,” y/n began bouncing in the man’s cock, feeling him twitch inside her. She just knew he was going to give her a big and well-needed load.
“C’mon,” y/n rode him harder, filling the room with their skin slapping against each other and her wet cunt coating his cock. “I’m cumming!” Logan warned through his teeth as his hips bucked upwards a few times.
Y/n kept riding him, mixing his seed inside of her until she felt like she had enough. “So fuckin’ good, baby. I wonder if you taste you,” y/n spoke, feeling the urge to suck him dry.
“Fuck, it’s too much,” the old man said, grilling her hips a bit tight so she could slow down, but she wouldn’t. “Oh, really?” She asked, feeling the knot grow in her stomach. She was so close.
“God- Fuck — I can’t take it, baby,” Logan tried begging her. “Yes, you can. Just a few more seconds, baby. You think you can do that?” She asked, looking into Logan’s eyes. They were glossy and full of lust.
The man nodded his head with a shaky hum, feeling the need to cum again. “Good boy,” she spoke as she leaned up, rocking her hips back and forth until she couldn’t anymore.
Y/n released on the man, earning a whine from him. After she came, he couldn’t hold himself in. He had come inside of her again. For the second time.
“Oh god,” y/n breathed out, feeling so full. “S-Sorry,” the man shook as she leaned in front of his face, hands rubbing his cheek. “Wanna feel more of you,” she said.
The man was shocked at how many times this woman could go, but he didn’t want to disappoint her. He wanted to pleasure her and make her happy. He tried to be good for her. And he was for the whole night and many more.

Summary: you’re bad omens merch girl. You all decide to go on vacation, after tour. Your boyfriend is a real dick, and Noah tells you how he really feels.
Warnings: sexual content, p in v sex, oral (f receiving), a little violence, mentions of blood, cheating. Let me know if I missed anything.
A/n: not gonna lie, it was 3am and I was exhausted. I kind of rushed through the smut. This is not edited. I’m on vacation, and posting from my phone. So sorry it looks a little rough.
We finally walked into the lobby of the condo we were staying at for a very much needed vacation. Noah and the guys just finished an amazing tour, and they all decided to go to Miami Beach for the week. I became close with the guys after landing a job being their merch girl. “Everybody got their room keys?” Matt walked up with his suitcase, making sure we were good to go. Everyone gave their confirmations, as we headed towards the elevators. “I’m so excited for this week, we really needed this.” When I got no response, I turned towards my boyfriend of 1 year Justin. Nose deep in his phone, tapping away. “Hello?” I asked annoyed for the 100th time today. He finally looked up from his phone “hm? Oh yeah, for sure.” And down went his face again.
I rolled my eyes, turning my attention back to the guys with an excited smile. “So what do you guys have planned today??” They all turned towards me, giving me their full attention. Noah speaking up first. “I think me and the guys are gonna go buy some drinks, and sit on the beach. We had a long drive. Kind of just wanna chill for the rest of the evening” I nodded my head in agreement. It was kind of a rough drive, especially being packed in a van with 7 people.
“You guys wanna join us?” As I nodded my head yes, Justin quickly spoke up. “Nah man, thanks tho. We’re hitting up the bars tonight.” I looked up at just confused as hell. “Why do you wanna go to the bars? I thought we all came together to hangout TOGETHER?” AGAIN I was completely annoyed at his lack of consideration for me and my feelings. “Babe chill out. We literally have all week.” I quickly shut my mouth, and turned away before we got into an argument. I didn’t wanna argue with him, much less in front of the guys.
They all gave me an empathetic look, as the elevator doors finally opened. Everyone started piling in, Justin shoving in front of me with the rest of them. The elevator being at full capacity. I looked at Justin in pure bewilderment. “Seriously?” He turned towards me, and laughed. “We’ll see ya at the top! We’re all going to the same place.” Not only was I completely humiliated, but I was shocked.
Mine and Justin’s relationship was far from perfect. I just don’t understand what happened. We used to be so happy together. He used to be the best boyfriend. Then a couple weeks ago, he started acting different. He looked towards the rest of the guys, expecting them to laugh with him. As the doors started closing, a hand stopped them last second. “I’ll wait with you.” Noah grabbed his suitcase, rolling out and standing with me. The guys all gave him look, before the doors finally closed, sending them on their way up.
“Well that was a dick move.” Noah was the first to speak between us, as we waited for the next elevator. Me and Noah used to be really close friends. Best friends even. I befriended him, before the rest of the guys. He’s the reason I met Justin. I spent months, and months hung up over Noah, just waiting for any kind of sign that maybe he felt the same way. Eventually I had to move on, and Justin happened to be the one I moved on to. He was really attractive, and really sweet. We got along great, and had a lot in common.
My feelings never matched the same intensity as they did for Noah, but I was hoping the more time I spent with Justin, the feelings for Noah would eventually go away... but they haven’t. I just have to keep pushing them further and further down. I’m not sure why, but ever since Justin and I became a couple, Noah became distant. We don’t hangout anymore unless it’s with the rest of the guys. We don’t text as much, unless it’s about work. I guess that’s why it’s so awkward right now that we’re alone.
“Yeah it’s just been a long day for all of us.”
Why am I taking up for my asshole boyfriend’s shitty behavior? Not sure. We didn’t speak anymore, and continued awkwardly waiting on the doors to open. After the short ride up to our floor, we split separate ways to our rooms. “Thanks by the way….for waiting for me.” Noah turned towards me with a small smile on his face. “Always.” I felt my heart skip, as he turned back around, headed for his room at the other end of the hall. I let out a sigh walking towards our room dragging my luggage behind me.
I tried opening the door but it was locked. I banged on it a couple times, waiting for Justin to open it. Finally after a minute or two, the door swung open. “Hey. Took you long enough.” I scoffed, pushing past him, into our bedroom, slinging my suitcase against the bed. “You left me!” He huffed closing the door, before walking towards me. “Noah was literally with you y/n calm down.” He rolled his eyes, plopping onto the bed.
“Yeah because YOU my BOYFRIEND didn’t! What if he didn’t wait with me??” I was getting angrier by the second. His lack of care for my wellbeing really hurt. Yeah I might be acting a tad bit dramatic but still. It’s the principle of it. “My god babe! Then you would have came up by yourself! Now come on get ready.” I gave up. I knew arguing with him was pointless. I don’t even know why I bother.
Opening my suitcase, I grabbed an outfit and my makeup bag. I went straight to the bathroom to get ready, getting drunk and letting loose sounds like a great idea.
(Two days later)
I woke up to the sound of the bathroom door slamming shut, and the shower running. Groaning into my pillow, I finally sat up grabbing my phone to check the time. 7am. Why the fuck is he up at 7am? He never wakes up at this time, much less before I even do. The sound of buzzing, pulled me out of my thoughts. I looked over at Justin’s side of the bed where his phone lay. I picked it up to answer, and let whoever was calling know that he would call them back later, until I saw the caller ID. “A” before I could answer, the call ended. I went to unlock his phone, when a text popped up on the screen.
“Hey I’m here. Can’t wait to see you ❤️”
I felt my heart fall to my ass. No way. He’s cheating on me? With who?!? I quickly opened his text threads, seeing the the same contact a few scrolls down. There it was. All the proof I needed, to confirm it. He was in fact cheating on me. Flirty texts, a bunch of pictures sent back and forth. I felt like throwing up. The bathroom door swung open, and Justin walked out towel drying his hair.
“I’m going into town for-“ he stopped dead in his tracks, staring at me like he saw a ghost. “Who the fuck is A?” We sat there silently, just staring at each other. “Just a friend babe, don’t start acting crazy” I let out a sarcastic laugh. “Just a friend huh? Okay.” I threw his phone back at him, climbing out of bed. I grabbed my phone, and some clothes headed straight to the shower. I quickly sent a text in the bands group chat that they added me in a while back, Asking if they wanted to hang out today. I hit send, stripping off my clothes hopping into the shower.
I met the guys at some seafood place, to grab some food before we hung out on the beach. “So where is Justin?” Folio asked, digging into his crab legs. My smile instantly disappeared, thinking back to this morning. We haven’t spoken since then. I’m too humiliated to tell them, and I don’t want to ruin everyone’s trip because of my relationship issues.
I smiled, coming up with a quick lie. Well sort of a lie. “Oh he’s uh meeting up with a friend, he said he’ll catch up with us later.” They all nodded, and continued eating starting up another conversation. I let out a small sigh of relief, at the attention not being on me anymore. When I looked over, Noah was staring at me with a look I couldn’t quite read. I sent him a smile, that he then returned.
After we were all finished, and stuffed full we headed to the beach. I sat in my beach chair tanning while the boys ran through the water and threw a football around. The sound of footsteps met my ears, until they stopped right beside me. I lifted my head, looking over at Noah. He was soaking wet, from being in the ocean. He looked beaut- stop it y/n. He grabbed his towel, drying his hair and body before sitting down beside me.
“What’s going on y/n?” I laid my head back down, still smiling at him. “Just tanning. What abou-“ he quickly cut me off, shaking his head. “ no I mean what’s going on? I think you forget babe…I know you. I can tell something is bothering you.” Thank god I was wearing sunglasses. I could feel the stupid tears welling up in my eyes, along with the butterflies erupting in my stomach. He always used to call me that. I assumed he stopped out of respect for Justin…but I missed it. I didn’t want to lie to him, but again, I couldn’t ruin this trip. They worked so hard, and they deserve it. So I decided to tell him half of the truth.
“It’s nothing Noah, I promise. Me Justin just had a little argument this morning. Everything is okay now though. No need to worry about it.” I gave him the most convincing smile I could muster, and he just nodded his head thankfully ending the conversation. It was now getting dark, so we all packed up our things and headed to our rooms. Exiting the elevator, I gave each of the guys a hug. When I got to Noah, he wrapped his arms around me in a tight hug. I squeezed back, not wanting to let go.
When we finally released each other, I said one more goodbye to them headed to my room.
Noah pov
After we said bye to y/n me and the guys all hung out in our condo. I spoke up, interrupting the guys conversation. “Something’s going on with y/n but she won’t tell me.” They all looked at me, nick talking first. “Yeah we could tell. Just didn’t wanna pry.” I nodded in agreement. I knew she wasn’t being honest down at the beach, but I didn’t wanna make her uncomfortable. “Probably her dick head of a boyfriend pissing her off.” Jolly sighed, flopping onto the couch behind me.
Justin. The asshole who stole the women of my fucking dreams. I don’t care how cliche it sounds. It’s true. I’ve been in love with her for two years now. Justin was my friend, or so I thought. I mistakenly told him about my feelings for y/n. I told him everything. How I was planning on telling her how I felt. When I was gonna do it and where. Then all of sudden, he walks in the next day arm around her. flaunting her, right in my face.
I was devastated, but I acted happy for y/n. If he was who made her happy, I had to accept that. But Seeing how he treated her a few days ago when we got here, made me think differently. He ignored her the whole way here, and then was gonna leave her in the lobby. The hurt look on her face, made me rage. I’ve never wanted to beat the fuck out of someone so bad before.
I could feel my anger rising just thinking about it. I need to calm down, and quick before I go beat his ass right now. “You gonna come drink with us Noah?” Folio asked, as they all gathered their things, but I declined. “I think I’m gonna go take a walk. I’ll be back later.” They all nodded and went back to their conversation, as I headed down to the beach.
Y/n pov
After I got back to my room, I threw my stuff in the corner sat down on the living room couch. I let out a frustrated groan, shoving my face in my hands. I don’t know what to do. Obviously the right decision would be to dump his sorry ass. I’m just scared. Other than all the shitty things. What me and Justin have is good. It’s…comfortable. Justin is also Noah’s friend. If I leave him, who’s to say Noah doesn’t take Justin’s side? Then I’ll lose my boyfriend… and most importantly… Noah.
Just the thought of losing Noah shatters my heart completely. The door suddenly opened, Justin waltzing in with a smug smile on his face. “Hey babe.” I rolled my eyes, standing from the couch. I grabbed my phone, and slipped my shoes back on headed towards the door. “where are you going?” I stopped before opening it, turning back towards him. anger filling my entire body. “I need space Justin. I really don’t want to talk to you right now.”
He scoffed rolling his eyes. “You’re seriously pissed off that I have friends!? get the fuck over yourself!” He really knows how to get under my skin. “Oh I’m sorry I didn’t know friends flirted with each other and sent pictures back and forth.” He threw his stuff onto the bed shaking his head. “I just need space Justin. I need to think.” He didn’t bother looking at me, as he started unbuttoning his shirt. “Whatever y/n.”
I took that as my cue to leave, and walked out of the room slamming the door behind me. I can’t believe him. I have done everything for him. I have put my all into this relationship, and he couldn’t give a fuck less. I walked down to the beach, to relax and just think. I love the beach at night. Nobody is usually down here at this time, and the sound of the waves are so peaceful at night.
I sat down on one of the wooden lounge chairs, and finally let out the tears I’ve been holding in all day. I sobbed until my throat felt raw. After a little while I calmed down, but silent tears continued to fall. If I leave Justin, I might just lose everyone. I can’t let that happen. Where did it go wrong? Can we even come back from this? Maybe we could try couples therapy… that’s a thing right?
“Didn’t expect to see you down here.” I jumped at the sudden voice breaking the peaceful silence. I quickly wiped the tears off my face, smiling up at Noah. He was smiling until he saw my puffy face. He sat down beside me, throwing his arm over my shoulder pulling me into his side. “Hey..what’s wrong babe?” There he goes with that damn name again.
I shake my head, ready to brush it off again until he grabs the side of my face turning it towards his. We were so close. If I moved just an inch closer our noses would brush. “You know it’s really hurting my feelings that you keep lying to me y/n. I know something is going on. Tell me.” I couldn’t control it anymore. A sob broke free again, and Noah held me tighter to his chest. He ran his fingers through my hair until I finally calmed back down.
“He’s cheating on me” I finally confessed. This is it. I’m about to lose the one person that I care about most. I felt his body go stiff, but not a word was said. I could feel his heart pounding fast against my cheek. I decided to break the silence, I couldnt stand it. “I just.. I don’t know what to do. We were doing so good. Then it all just..went to shit..we kept fighting. I was hoping it was just phase, but I was wrong.” I sniffed, pulling away slightly to look at him. He was pissed. Seething.
I was so scared of what he was going to say. Would he be mad that I was accusing his friend of such a thing? His voice interrupted my thoughts. “You don’t deserve that y/n. He doesn’t deserve you.” I was speechless for a minute. He’s choosing my side? He’s been friends with Justin way longer than he has even known me. I could feel my anxiety slowly dissipating.
We finally disconnected from each other, but stayed close. Our shoulders pressing together. “I guess I’m just scared. I haven’t been alone in so long…I just..I know it sounds pathetic. He used to make me feel so loved. When it was good, it was good. I was able to look past all the bad. I’m scared to start over. What if I don’t find someone who loves me like he did at one point?” Noah listened intently to every word.
“You’re not pathetic y/n. It’s normal to feel the way you do, but please listen to me when I say you don’t deserve it. You deserve every fucking good thing in this god forsaken world, and he is a fucking idiot.” My heart was beating out of my chest at every word that came out of his mouth. He is making it so hard not to fall deeper in love with him.
Love. Did I really just say that? Yes I did. Because I do, and I’m tired of fighting it. “You know I used to be so confident. I was always putting myself out there. Wasn’t afraid to make the first move. I was outgoing, and fun. I let him ruin me, how could someone love a person so fucked up.” The tears started falling again, as I harshly wiped them away.
“I do. You’re not fucked up. You’re hurt. I’m sure right now isnt the best time to say this, but fuck it. I’m tired of keeping it to myself. I love you. I have fucking loved you for two years now.” I was frozen in shock. I can’t believe what my ears are hearing right now. I feel like this is a dream, and I’m about to wake up any minute. We stared at each other, until I finally found my words. “Noah ..are you serious?”
He nodded his head, as we just stared at each other. “Yeah…and Justin knew that too.” Justin knew?? What is he talking about? “What do you mean?” I was in disbelief at what I was hearing right now.
“Well Justin was my best friend…..since we were kids. I trusted him. I told him about the feelings I had for you. Told him about how I was gonna ask you out and everything.” he looked away, looking at the ground.
I stayed quiet, waiting for him to finish. “Then the next day, he walks into the house…with you. Hand in hand.” I clenched my hand to my chest. My heart physically hurt. I can’t believe it. I could have had Noah, I almost had Noah….but I said yes to Justin. Of course I didn’t know at the time, but still. It hurts just as bad. “Noah…why..why didn’t you say anything?” He let out a small tired laugh.
“You seemed happy…that’s all that mattered. All I wanted..I didn’t wanna ruin that for you.” He said softly, finally looking at me again. My tears finally slowed down, and I softly grabbed his hand resting on his thigh. “Noah…if I would’ve known…” I was at a loss of words. This is my chance. I had to tell him the feelings were mutual. “I felt the same way…I do feel the same way. I thought you didn’t see me like that.. that’s why I said yes to him.”
Noah chuckled, rubbing his hand down his face. “Guess we both fucked up huh?” We both let out quiet laughs. We kept eye contact, but said nothing. Before I knew it, we were both leaning in. When our lips finally touched, my whole body melted into the kiss. His hand moved from under mine, to my cheek. Before we could deepen it any further, a loud voice interrupted us. “OH SO THIS IS WHERE YOU WENT? TO FUCK MY BESTFRIEND?”
We jumped apart, both quickly shooting up from our seats. Justin. Fuck. He was walking fast down the beach from the condos we were staying in. I quickly jumped over the chair to him. “Justin wait! It’s-“ he got in my face, before shoving me backwards. “SHUT UP WHORE! I SHOULD HAVE FUCKING KNOWN!” As I fell back, I landed on the chair, the wooden edge scraping the skin of my leg.
I looked down, to see a nasty gash on my inner thigh. Before anything could be said, Noah flew from behind me. He tackled Justin to the sand, sending blow after blow to his face. All I could do, was watch in complete shock. I’ve never seen Noah so angry. After a few more blows to Justin’s face, Noah stood back up. “DONT YOU EVER PUT YOUR FUCKING HANDS ON HER!”
Justin just laid there, groaning in pain. Noah turned back around, grabbing my hand. “C’mon we’re getting your stuff, you’re gonna stay with me.” I let him lead me away, not before stopping beside Justin. I looked at him for a few seconds, he was fucked up. His nose was probably broken, and his lips were split. I calmly spoke. “Fuck you.”
We got inside, and headed towards the elevator. As we waited for the doors to open, I could still feel Noah basically vibrating with anger. The doors opened, and we walked straight in, and rode up in silence. We got to my room, and luckily I only had a few things taken out of my bag. So we quickly grabbed them, stuffed them back in and went to Noah’s room. When we walked in, he sat my suitcase on the desk in his bedroom, and turned towards me.
“Shit you’re bleeding.” I looked down, and sure enough, blood was running down my leg straight into my shoe. “It’s okay, it doesn’t even hurt anymore.” He walked straight past me, and into the bathroom. I heard him shuffling around in the cabinets, and come back with a little first aide kit. I tried to protest again, telling him I’d just rinse it off in the shower. He ignored me, and bent down infront of me.
“Spread your legs for me.” Although he said it innocently, I couldn’t help the blush the covered my cheeks. He got the disinfectant wipes, and cleaned off the blood and around the gash. Pulling out some ointment and a big bandaid, and started applying them gently. As he did, I caught a glimpse of his right hand. His knuckles were busted. “I’m so sorry Noah.” My hand found its way to his head, running my fingers through his hair. I felt guilty. I ruined our trip, because of my fucked up relationship, and now he’s hurt. He froze, and looked up at me, clearly confused.
“Why are you apologizing to me?” He stayed there, waiting for me response. “Your knuckles they’re busted…and I ruined our trip.” he didn’t move a muscle, looking straight into my eyes, and just shook his head. “You didn’t ruin anything, and I’d do it again.” His voice was just above a whisper. “He put his fucking hands on you, I want to fucking kill him.” He placed a kiss to the bandage on my thigh, before slowly rising to his feet. As soon as he got in reach his lips were back on mine again. His arm going under my ass, to lift me all the way up with him, to his full height. My legs wrapped around his waist without a second thought.
Our kiss deepened, as he walked us to the bed, laying me onto it. His kisses moved down, over my cheek, and down my neck. “Noah…” I whined, ready to just feel him. All of him. He lifted his head, planting another kiss on my lips. “I know baby..” he lifted my shirt up and off of me, throwing it somewhere else in the room.
His lips instantly attaching to one of my tits, while his hand groped and played with my other one. I was a moaning mess. He was barely doing anything yet, and I’d never felt so good in my life. His lips moved down my stomach, to the top of my shorts. “I wanna taste you so bad baby.” He whispered against my skin.
.“Noah please..” I am not above begging. I finally have the man of my dreams, and I want all of him. Now. He unbuttoned my shorts, dragging them off a long with my underwear. He took no time to spread my thighs. He groaned, seeing how wet I was for him. All for him. With one last kiss to the inside of my thigh, he dove straight in. His lips wrapped around my clit, sucking it into his mouth.
I gasped in pleasure, my hands falling to his head. I grabbed handfuls of his hair softly tugging it. He groaned against me, sending delicious vibrations through my core. “You taste so good baby.” He ran his tongue up and down the full length of my pussy, until I was shaking with pleasure. “I’m so close Noah..please please”
He took his left hand, teasing my hole with two fingers before fully sinking them in. I moaned out at the feeling. He continued pumping his fingers, and licking my clit. I could feel my orgasm coming, as I started grinding my hips into his face. I came with a loud whine of his name. He moaned again, as he licked up my release.
“Fuck…such a good girl.” He leaned over me, kissing me hard. Shoving his tongue in my mouth, so I could taste myself. I grabbed the bottom of his shirt, pulling it up and off of him, throwing it onto the floor. Our lips connected again, as he reached for his sweats. He pulled them down just enough to pull his dick out.
“Are you okay?” He was panting, struggling to stay still. I nodded my head, begging him to move. He stood back up completely, holding my thighs apart, watching himself disappear inside of me, over and over again. “Fuck Noah, faster.” He felt incredible. I’ve never felt this good during sex. He sped up until he was pounding into me. He kept my thighs spread wide, pushing them into my chest. The new angle making him reach even deeper. “Fuck baby your pussy feels so good wrapped around my dick.” All I could do was moan in response. He looked back down between us before spitting directly on my clit, and rubbing over it with his thumb.
“C’mon baby, cum for me.” I was so close, and I could tell he was too. After a few more thrust, I came hard around him. Pushing my head down against the mattress, and arching my back, my head was fuzzy and light. “Good girlfuck..” he quickly pulled out, finishing on my chest and stomach. He leaned back over, bringing me into a wet rushed kiss. “I love you so much angel..”
“I love you too.”

★ LATE NIGHT CONVERSATIONS. . .
summary: in which zoro convinces you to see yourself from his point of view.
warnings: named fem!reader/oc, reader has suicidal thoughts (not too explicit, yet not very subtle), cursing, zoro may be ooc, angst/comfort
word count: 2K+ // slightly edited
an (1): this fic started when i got drunk and wanted to read angst. i revised it so many times and i’m still somewhat unsatisfied (hence the rushed ending) but i really love this oc i created and hope i get to write about her more :3 been feeling a lil sad bc i turned 21 and i’m still somewhat stuck in my life and uuuugh. just need zoro so bad..anyway…I’ll probably do an oc introduction next :p
Tumblr media
ZORO thinks you’re the prettiest person in existence. He wishes he could give you his eyes so you could see yourself from his point of view. He watches you as you sit next to Robin: a blanket wrapped around your body, your head leaning on her shoulder as you listen to the conversation she’s having with Franky.
Tonight, something’s different. You don’t have the usual gleam in your eye nor does your laugh echo throughout the Sunny. Instead, your eyes are red and swollen, and you’re quieter than usual — only speaking when you’re spoken to. Your eyes meet Zoro’s for a split second, and understanding flashes in his gaze as he realizes why you’ve been so distant.
You ignore the swordsman’s curious eye, trying to be more interested in the conversation Robin and Franky are having; something about poneglyphs, but you wouldn’t be too sure because your thoughts are louder than their voices, making it hard to focus.
Tonight, everything hits you at once: your past, the present, and the what-ifs. The future remains a distant concept, with its many possible outcomes holding you back.
You think these thoughts that cloud your brain are nothing but selfish. A burning desire of yours is to quietly slip away and let your soul be free from this body and place.
You love the Straw Hats, your captain, and your crewmates. You love the sea and exploring new islands. With every stop, you hope to learn something new to distract yourself from the small part of you that wishes you weren't alive.
But every now and then, it hits you. And you feel like you’re nothing but a waste of space.
Before you realize it, Zoro’s standing next to you, offering his hand. You know the blend of sympathy, disappointment, and sadness on his face. With a deep breath and a small smile to the rest of the crew, you accept it, allowing him to pull your body up and lead you down the corridor.
+x+
Roronoa Zoro, pirate hunter turned pirate, was someone you held close to your heart. He was your closest friend, your anchor in times of darkness, and your lover.
He took care of you, even in your absence; he told you that you look out for everyone else that you tend to forget to take care of yourself.
When the crew split up and you had decided to go to Whole Cake Island, Zoro made sure Franky had sent you off with two transponder snails so he could check in on you. He’s still unsure of what happened on the island of sweets, but after your reunion with the rest of the crew he’s noticed the light in your eye had become darker.
He leads you to his room, opening the door for you and placing his swords by the entrance. You take a seat on his bed, a change from your usual behavior of lying down. Your thoughts crowd your mind again as the atmosphere around you grows quieter.
You’re not doing enough. Luffy doesn’t need you, nor do the others; you believe you’re just extra weight they carry because you’re his sister.
“Wanna tell me what’s going on in that pretty head of yours?” You feel the mattress dip as Zoro occupies the space next to you, his body radiating warmth your way. He’s laying down, arms rested behind his head, eyes closed. You stare at the man next to you, taking in his form; despite the number of times he’s smiled in the face of death, scars and stitches scattering his body, you still think he’s the most handsome man on this earth.
“Just been…thinking,” you start. “About everything that’s happened up until now.”
Zoro hums to let you know that he’s listening, a cue for you to continue.
“Nobody on the crew knows this, not even Luffy, but I was there at Marineford.”
This makes Zoro’s eye shoot open, a look of surprise painting his face. As bad as it sounds, he isn’t too interested in learning about where the crew spent the last two years, he’s just glad they all made it back together alive. He knows that you spent time mastering your Haki with your childhood teacher, but that’s all you’ve let the crew know about.
“Grandpa snuck me in disguised as a marine — I promised I wouldn’t tell anyone if I was able to leave quietly. I wanted to see Ace one last time, and he granted me that because he owed me one for keeping an eye on Luffy when we were younger.
I was able to visit his holding cell, and the sight of him…it felt as if I was being punished. Ace was the one person who understood me and how I tend to feel, the one person I shared so much in common with. He was able to find bits and pieces of himself again thanks to the light that shines through Luffy, and when he left us I promised that I’d try and keep him safe despite the distance between us, and hopefully find myself through our crybaby brother as well.”
You’re smiling fondly at the distant memories of you and your brothers, ones that you wished were photographed so you could have physical proof of those events taking place; so even when you’re old and senile you’ll be able to remember them happening.
“Tell me more,” Zoro says. He eyes the spot next to him, and you position yourself to lay there. He allows you to remove his left arm from behind his head to use as a pillow. “Were you safe, at least?”
Of course not. You were infiltrating the World Government, and if you made a tiny mistake, you would’ve been right next to Ace on the execution platform.
“I was — you know I wouldn’t do anything impulsively, unlike some people.” You giggle, remembering the moment Luffy fell from the sky, in the middle of the battlefield. “I ended up being able to sneak away because of him. I found Trafalgar’s submarine and hopped on board and waited…and I can’t help but think that was my biggest mistake, leaving Luffy alone. It’s a heavy guilt that I’ve been carrying.”
Zoro ponders for a moment; it isn’t your weight to carry, he wants to say. Luffy went to Marineford on his own accord, and not every ending is a happy one. He’s also curious about how you were able to find the surgeon and his crew, but that’s something he’ll ask about another time.
“And when I felt Shanks’ presence nearby, I asked Law to take me to his ship — which he declined, of course — so I got off and swam there instead. The waters were surprisingly calm, so don’t panic, I’m sure Jinbe wouldn’t have let me get eaten up,” you confess to him, reassuring him that you were safe every step of the way.
You stare at the left side of his face, your arms wrapped around his body as if he was a teddy bear. The blanket you had previously wrapped around your body now covered parts of his, his arm cuddling you close as if you’d ever slip away.
“How’d it go with the redhead?” Zoro asks. His eyes are still closed but you know he’s interested in knowing; asking questions is somewhat his way of begging to know more. He isn’t as stoic as he thinks he is, at least not towards you.
“It was good seeing Shanks again. He was heading to Marineford to end the war, and allowed me to stay and hide with him until Luffy made the decision to reunite in two years. He’s actually the one who took me to my childhood teacher; it took about three weeks after burying Ace and Whitebeard to get there.”
Zoro’s curious about how you handled Ace’s burial, but again, that’s something he’ll ask about another time.
“They asked about us. It was different being the one to share experiences about life on the sea; but it was refreshing and fun…I told them all about the crazy stuff we went through, and they let me know about the reputation we’ve built for ourselves. It’s actually kind of cool how many people know of us, but also scary at the same time. It really opened my eyes though; it was probably the first time in a long time that I…” you trail off, repositioning your head to be more comfortable, the hand that lay on Zoro’s chest now tracing lines as you daze off. Sensing that he’s lost you, he opens his eye and nudges you lightly.
“I felt like I had a life purpose again. Gaining the knowledge that a lot of people had their eyes set on us as a team, it made me realize the responsibility I hold. The promises I made to both Ace and Sabo, the ones I made to you and the rest of us, and the promise I made to myself as a child — my ultimate dream: to live a long, fulfilled life.”
“Even though I felt great and motivated after that and even now, the thoughts still linger around. The what-ifs: what if I stayed and attempted to save Ace alongside Luffy? What if I got caught by the Marines? What if the five of you never found me in Loguetown?
It’s a never-ending battle, and I’m getting more tired of myself with every passing day. It’s the reason why even now I exhaust myself mentally and physically, just to escape my thoughts. I guess there must be something happening with the planets for me to experience these feelings right now,” your tone is light, almost playful, yet your words place a heavy weight on him.
You let out a sharp sigh, suddenly turning on your back and staring at the wooden ceiling. You release your Haki to see what the rest of the crew is up to, noticing that some of them have already gone to bed. The only other people awake at the moment are Luffy, Sanji, and Jinbe — sharing a late night snack and a hushed conversation.
“You’re stronger and more resilient than you think,” Zoro states. “As a matter of fact, you’re probably the strongest person I know, both physically and mentally.
You’ve faced nothing but obstacles your entire life, and it makes me wish I had known you when we were younger. You and Kuina would’ve been great friends.” The mention of your lover’s childhood friend makes you smile. He’s only ever confided in you about his upbringing, and you pray to the heavens, hoping that Kuina herself hears you ask for his protection. “I admire you so much.”
And it’s true: Zoro envies how strong you are. He wishes he had unlocked Haki at a young age. He wishes he was as smart as you. There are so many things Zoro admires about you, and he wishes he knew the words to voice it.
“I’m not great with words.” You giggle at his self-awareness but let the laughter die down as he rolls his eye playfully. “But you deserve to be here — alive — regardless of where you came from, what powers and knowledge you possess, and what happened when you were a child. I’ve watched you grow into the person you are today, and it’s been a privilege.
Sometimes, it feels as if I was a saint in my past life to experience this: the open ocean, the different people and places, and you. However you see yourself isn’t how anyone else views you. Chopper looks up to you as a guardian — and despite the small age difference, I’m sure our knucklehead captain does too. Nami, Robin, Usopp, and Franky see you as their sister. I’m sure I heard Jinbe speaking of you like a daughter, and as for the annoying waiter we call a cook, he practically worships the ground you walk on. The skeleton praised you constantly, so I’m not sure how you don’t see the admiration everyone has for you.
You’ve become one of my biggest inspirations. I’ll probably never be in the mood to admit this again, so make sure you’re listening.” He suddenly sits up and rests against the headboard, your movements copying his as he interlocks your hands with his.
He meets your gaze, and you feel like you fall in love with him all over again. He’s looking at you with pure adoration, as if he’s trying to engrave your face into his memory.
Even with tear stains running down your cheeks and puffy eyes, you’re still the prettiest person to exist. Everything about you is perfect, and a demon like me doesn’t even deserve to be in your presence, Zoro thinks.
“The time we spent apart, I took some time to think about our adventures as a crew. I’m not sure if I subconsciously did it because it was a strange feeling being away from you all, or if it was because Perona kept asking too many questions.
After explaining how the ten of us all became a crew, she pointed out that I mentioned you a lot. I didn’t think so at the time, but I guess it’s just something that feels natural to me. What I’m trying to say is…
“I love you. You know this already, but I know sometimes it feels nice to have a verbal reminder. I’m in love with you, and I know I’ll always be. And I’ll help you fight your battles, even when you ask me to give you space. I’ll do anything you want me to, just promise me you’ll let me be there for you. You — in such a short amount of time — have become my greatest weakness.
It hurts when you push yourself away from everyone else, especially me. I know you don’t want to feel like a burden, but you’ll never be one; to me, or the others. Especially to Luffy. Whether you decide to tell him you were there to see Ace, is up to you. I’m positive he won’t react the way you think he would. You’ve always taken on way more than what we ask of you, and applying more pressure to yourself isn’t going to make us look at you any differently. You’re appreciated for all that you do, and will always be.
The only thing I’m asking of you is to take the time and make sure you’re taking care of yourself. Physical battles already take a toll on all of us, and we can always help each other out, but the mental ones we face can only be taken on by ourselves. Even I find it hard to deal with it. But then I’m grounded by remembering the fact that I was put here on this Earth for a reason — everyone was.”
Your jaw is hung open at Zoro’s words; yes, he saves sweet talk for you and you only, but this was an entirely different and unexpected side of him.
You want to cry. You want to kiss him. You want to take all of his pain away and give it to the officials in the World Government. You want to cradle his face in your chest and kiss his cheeks and tell him sweet nothings; yet as you process his words, you sit there in silence.
I’m grounded by remembering the fact that I was put here on this Earth for a reason — everyone was.
Similar to the last words spoken to you by your beloved brother Ace, you feel tears slip out of your eyes and suddenly you’re trapping Zoro in your arms.
“Thank you, Zo.”
The whisper reaches him, and he relaxes comfortably in your embrace. He buries his head in the crook of your shoulder, his arms wrapped around your torso. Even though it took a lot of guts to be that vulnerable, his chest feels lighter. With a soft kiss pressed to the top of his head, you return the words back to him.
“I love you so much. Thank you for always being there for me. You’re truly one of my anchors in this life.”
+x+
You wake up the next morning alone in bed. It’s nothing out of the ordinary, except this time a note sits on Zoro’s nightstand.
Woke up to Nami banging on the door. Kind of surprised it didn’t wake you up either. Anyway, we’re docked now and Luffy dragged me out with him to explore. The stupid cook and Robin are still here on the ship, so I asked them to ring me when you wake up. If you decide to leave the ship, come find me. If not, then rest and I’ll come back to you later. Love you, Zoro.
You smile at the sloppy handwriting, your mind quickly flashing to last night’s conversation between the two of you. You sit and think about it and come to the conclusion that you no longer doubt yourself. You feel as light as a feather, hopping out of bed and changing into a new outfit for the day. You’re assuming your lover had taken it upon himself to change you, not remembering when you had put your sleeping clothes on.
You waltz into the kitchen, greeted with heart eyes and the smell of coffee.
“Good morning to you, Athena. We’ve been waiting for you to wake up, Sanji’s desperately wanting to go pick some things up. Are you feeling better now? Zoro said you were feeling under the weather this morning.” Robin’s gentle voice distracts you from worrying about the amount of blood spilling from Sanji’s nose, a soft smile on her face as you greet her back.
“Good morning! I feel much better now, like I can do anything.” You smile. Sanji’s serving you a plate of breakfast as you sit across from the archaeologist. You start to eat, trying to peek at the newspaper she’s holding in her hand. The headline makes you choke on your food.
“WHAT THE HELL? LUFFY’S AN EMPEROR NOW?!”
Your voice is loud enough that Sanji and Robin are sure the entire island could hear it. Before Sanji’s able to fill you in on what was discussed after you and Zoro went to bed, your shrieks were heard throughout the Sunny.
“WHAAAAAAT?! MY BOUNTY’S AT TEN DIGITS NOW?!”
“Well, you and Zoro missed a lot last night. We’re happy to know that you’re feeling better now though!” Robin says, a closed-eye smile sent your way.
You’re in a state of shock: reading the article that was released less than twenty four hours ago, and you hear Sanji’s tongue click.
“Maybe we should take Athena-swan to Chopper for medicine,” Eyes wide and jaw hung, you nod your head. “And probably look for the embarrassment you call your boyfriend.”
With that, you shove Sanji away from you, standing up quickly and taking hold of Robin’s hand. You grab your bag and walk off the ship with the two of them next to you, feeling thousands times better than last night.
Zoro, you say in your mind. Please don’t be lost. Eh — it’s been hours since they left. He’s definitely lost.
With a new sense of confidence and optimism, you hold your head high and continue your journey in making this a life worth living.

Rekindled pt 2
Tumblr media
Master List
Characters: Russell Shaw x Reader
Warnings: Fluff, light smut….nothing too bad….yet 😉
A/N: I haven’t written a Russell fic yet and with him coming back to Tracker I wanted to test it out. Just a quick story about him. Written fast and edited fast. Maybe a few chapters.
All work is my own, used characters from the show Tracker, but this does not follow the story
Minors DNI 18+
You and Russell said your goodbyes, and you promised to text him later with the time and place to meet you and your son. Your heart was still pounding in your chest and you were terrified he was going to hurt you and your son.
You called your mom to get her advice. “Hey mom, do you have a few minutes to chat?” “Yes, honey. Russell is sleeping, so I’m free. Are you okay, you sound upset?” “Um, I’m not sure honestly. I ran into Russell and told him about Jr. He wants to meet him, told me it was up to me and I agreed. I don’t know what to do. I want Jr to know his dad, but on the other hand I’m terrified Russell is going to break our hearts again. I can’t do that to Jr.” “I understand honey, but you have to do what’s best for Jr. If Russell wants to be in his life, you should give him the chance. Even if you set boundaries with the two of you, it would be good for Jr to get to know his father if that’s what Russell really wants.”
The two of you sat in silence for a moment, “Yeah, Russell really wants to be in his life. I just don’t know where it would leave us. I’m still in love with him, mama.” “Oh sweetheart, I know you are. I would say just take it slow. Let him be in Jr’s life, and see where things go. You two are older and it sounds like Russell really wants to be in your lives. I appreciate he’s leaving the decision up to you. That shows maturity.” You sighed because you knew she was right. “Yeah, I just don’t know what to feel. As soon as I saw him all the love and hurt came rushing back. I want what we had, the life we promised each other.”
Your mother took a deep breath, “Honey, you can’t get back what the two of you had. It’s gone, both of you have grown and matured. The two of you have to focus on your son, and building something new. I don’t know what that’s going to look like, only you two can figure that out. However, if you want my opinion it sounds like there is still love there, on both of your parts, the two of you have a lot to work out, but if you both genuinely love each other then you’ll have no problem building something new, stronger than before.” “Thanks, mama. I love you. I’ll be home soon.” “I love you too, baby girl. I’ll see you soon.”
You: Hey, can you meet Jr and I at the park in about an hour?
Russell: Of course I can. Thank you.
You: You’re welcome. He’s napping right now, so he shouldn’t be cranky. 😂
Russell: Well he’s definitely related to me. I tend to get a little cranky. 😁
You: Oh I remember. 😉
Russell: I clearly remember someone being cranky when she hasn’t had her coffee or food. 😜
You: You know what, that’s not very nice. Everyone gets cranky without coffee or food. 🤣
Russell: True, but not like you. Speaking of which, wanna grab dinner tonight? Just the three of us?
You looked at your phone and your heart fluttered. The weight of his question pressing down on you. It was a simple question, but you couldn’t shake the feeling that bubbled in your chest. This wasn’t just dinner. It was the first dinner the three of you would share together as a family.
You: Sure, that sounds great. I know after Jr plays he’s going to be hungry.
Russell: Great! I can’t wait to see you two.
You: I’m looking forward to it.
Russell: I want you to know I really appreciate you letting me meet him. If you’re more comfortable telling him I’m a friend right now, I’m okay with that. I want you to be comfortable with this and I don’t want to overwhelm him.
You stared at your phone. How can he be so sweet?! Most men would be fighting tooth and nail to tell the child he was the father, but not Russell. His only concern is our son’s comfort and mine. Damn Russell, making me fall in love with you all over again.
You: I appreciate that, Russell. You have no idea what that means to me. We will figure it out, I promise. I want him to know who you are. You both deserve that.
Russell: 💚
As you drove home your mind and heart raced. He’d hurt you before, but everything he did was to protect you. How could you be sure he wouldn’t do it again? It wasn’t just you anymore, Jr. was a big part of this now. He was your priority.
Pulling into the driveway you saw your mom and toddler running around playing. When you got out of the car Jr ran to you. “Mommy. I missed you!” His little arms stretched wide. “Oh I missed you too, baby. Were you good for Nana?” He shook his head yes and smiled.
Your mom walked over and pulled you into a hug. “I know everything is going to work out, Y/N.” You nodded. “Hey baby, how about you and I go to the park and then out to dinner. I have someone I want you to meet.” “Yay, park. Nana go too?” He looked at your mother with his big green eyes. Your mom spoke up, “No, Nana is tired so she’s going to stay here. I’ll see you later and you can tell me all about the park and dinner.” Jr shook his head with understanding.
About thirty minutes later you were changed and loading Jr into his carseat. Your mom hugged you, “It’s going to be fine, baby. I truly believe that. Russell seems to be putting both of you first. That’s a great place to start. Whatever you decide, I'll support you.” “Thank you, mama. I’m scared. I’m still in love with him and I know he’s going to be amazing with Jr.” Your mom touched your face, “I know you are, and I know he will be. Just take it slow.” You nodded and climbed in the car.
Driving towards the park Jr was in the back singing and giggling. “Mama, I love you.” You smiled, “I love you too, baby. So much.” He giggled and was swinging his legs. Looking in the mirror at your son, your heart fluttered. Every time you looked at him you saw Russell.
Pulling into the parking lot of the park, you saw Russell standing leaning against his car. You playfully rolled your eyes and smirked. Your toddler was in the backseat squealing with delight, “Park! Park!” You laughed, “Yes baby, we’re here.”
Putting the car in park, you grabbed your bag and opened the backseat. Russell walked towards the car as you got Jr out. “Hey sweetheart.” You heard from behind you. As you pulled your son out you turned and saw Russell standing behind you holding two coffees. You smiled. Jr looked up at Russell and his eyes went wide. “Hey Russell. I see you have coffee.” He smirked, “Yeah, I didn't want you cranky.” He winked at you.
Jr watched the two of you in silence. His big green eyes took in Russell and glanced at you. “Mama, he has my name.” Your breath caught in your throat. Looking at your son and over at Russell you were at a loss of words.
Russell stepped closer, “Well, sounds like you’ve got a pretty good name then. I’m your mama’s friend. I knew her when she was younger. It’s nice to meet you, Russell.” Russell extended his hand to your toddler and your eyes thanked him. He nodded and smiled at you. Jr took his hand and shook it while his other arm clung to your neck.
The three of you walked towards the playground. It was pretty empty with the exception of a family of four. You put your son down and he took off towards the swings. You laughed, “Not too fast baby. I don’t want you to fall.” You looked over at Russell and saw a smile on his face.
When the two of you arrived at the swings, you placed your son in one and started to push him. His giggles filled the air between you three. You took in a breath and let it out, touching Russell’s arm, “Thank you for that. I wasn’t expecting him to pick up on your names that quickly.” Russell smiled, “He’s a smart kid. Must take after his mama, and you’re welcome. I know this is all new. It will work out, we’ll figure it out together.”
After a few minutes on the swing Jr wanted to run around so you pulled him out of the swing and put him down. He started running up and down the equipment while you and Russell watched him.
Russell was laughing and following him around. Your heart filled with love when you saw Jr take Russell’s hand and lead him through the maze of equipment. Pulling out your phone you snapped some pictures of the two of them together.
The sound of Jr and Russell laughing filled the air. Seeing Russell interact with your son made your heart flutter. As the afternoon wore on Jr was getting tired and hungry.
“Alright boys, it’s time to go eat dinner.” You said as Russell scooped Jr up in his arms. Jr threw his arms around Russell’s neck and Russell looked over at you and smiled.
He carried Jr to the car and put him in his car seat. Once he shut the door he turned, looked at you and smiled. “He’s incredible, Y/N. You’ve done an amazing job with him. I never expected to fall in love with him so quickly. Thank you for letting me meet him.” He cupped your face and your heart beat wildly. You looked into his eyes, bit your lip and inched closer to his lips.
“Can I kiss you?” You asked softly. Russell didn’t say a word, he just pulled you close and softly kissed your lips. All of the anger, hurt and pain from the past few years melted away.
The two of you pulled away and stood in silence. “I’ve been wanting to do that again since I saw you earlier.” Russell whispered against your lips.
Giggles from the car pulled your attention away. “Guess we should go feed our son.” You smiled as you looked at Russell. “Yeah, we don’t want him cranky like his mama.” Russell winked at you. You playful slapped his chest.
A few minutes later you were pulling in the parking lot of the local diner. Russell came over to your car and helped get Jr out. He grabbed your hand as he carried Jr into the restaurant. This felt right. It felt like home.
Once the three of you were sitting at the table Jr kept looking over at Russell. He would color on his mat, then look over at Russell. You and Russell shared quick glances, then you asked Jr if he was okay. “Sweetie, are you okay?” Your son looked at you and nodded. “Mama, he looks like me.” He pointed at Russell when he said it. Your breath hitched and a lump formed in your throat.
You took your toddler’s hand and took in a shaky breath. Your eyes flicked up and met Russell’s. “Well, honey, the reason he looks like you and you two have the same name is because he’s your daddy.” Your heart beat faster in your chest while you waited for your son’s response.
Jr looked at you and then over at Russell.
“You’re my daddy?” His sweet soft voice replied. Russell looked at him with so much love in his eyes and nodded yes. A hush fell over the table. Then your son squealed with delight, clapping his hands and swinging his legs. He reached for Russell, who stood and pulled him out of the high chair into his arms. Your heart leaped in your chest as Russell held your son in his arms.
When the food arrived the three of you ate and talked. As the night wore on, Jr was getting sleepier. You pulled him out of the high chair and laid him beside you in the booth. You and Russell continued talking about the past few years. He asked about the pregnancy, and how the birth went. You told him your mom was with you every step of the way and was at the hospital when he was born.
His hands fell softly on yours and held them on top of the table. You noticed the diner was starting to clear out. “Well we better get this little guy home, and let them close up.” You said, glancing at the sleeping toddler beside you.
Russell paid the bill and carried Jr to the car. Your son woke up briefly to see Russell carrying him and he snuggled into his chest more. Russell smiled softly at the toddler in his arms. He never knew love could feel like this. So pure, real and complete.
Russell put your son in the car and carefully closed the door. “I’ll follow you home, to help you get him inside if you don’t mind.” You touched his chest, “I don’t mind at all.”
The two of you drove towards your house. The soft glow of the house cast shadows on the driveway. Putting the car in park you got out and grabbed your bag. Russell walked over and took his son in his arms. You could get used to seeing him carrying your son. You walked up to the door and it swung open. Your mom was standing there with a grin on her face when she saw Russell carrying his son.
“His room is the second room on the right, at the top of the stairs.” Russell nodded and started to walk up the stairs. You followed behind him, glancing at your mom who was still grinning. Once in his room, you took off his shoes and pulled his blanket up to his chin. He turned and looked at the two of you sleepily, “Night mama.” “Night baby.” You placed a soft kiss on his forehead. “Night daddy.” You gasped softly. Russell smiled and leaned down, placing a kiss to the top of Jr’s head, “Night buddy. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
The two of you walked out of his room and you closed his door. Russell let out the breath he was holding and you noticed his eyes were filled with love and tears. You touched his biceps, “Russell, are you okay?” He ran his fingers through his hair, “No I’m not. I can’t believe I was stupid enough to let you walk away. I’ve missed 3 years of his life, of a life with you, I missed your pregnancy and you bringing our son into this world. I don’t expect you to forgive me, hell I know I don’t deserve it.”
You cupped his face, “Russell, I do forgive you. You’re here now. That’s all that matters. That little boy in there loves you so much already. There is still so much you haven’t missed.”
His eyes softened and he cupped your face. His lips crashed against yours in a needy, emotional kiss. As he pulled back he rubbed his thumb over your lips, “God I missed you. I love you so much, Y/N.” “I love you too, Russell. We have a lot to talk about, but for now all that matters is our son.”
He nodded and the two of you walked downstairs together. Your mom saw you two and walked over to Russell. “It’s good to see you Russell. I guess it came as quite a shock to find out you had a son.” “It’s good to see you too, Ms Y/L/N, and yes ma’am it was, but it’s something I’ll spend the rest of my life trying to be worthy of.”
She hugged him and he leaned down and hugged her. She whispered in his ear “She’s missed you more than she’ll admit and she’s still deeply in love with you. Don’t screw it up or you’ll have to answer to me.” He smiled at her, “I’m deeply in love with her too, and I wouldn’t dream of it. Her and Jr are it for me.”
Your mother told both of you good night and hugged you, then went upstairs.
As a quietness fell over the room you and Russell sat on the couch. The two of you snuggled together on the couch as a movie played on the tv. Russell shared stories about his life and you showed him pictures of your son. You even showed him some of you pregnant. His fingers traced the photo and he sighed.
You touched his hand softly. “It’s okay. I had mama. I wasn’t alone, we weren’t alone.” “I know, but it’s still hard. I’m a fool to have let you walk away. I pushed you away and left you alone.”
You’re not sure what came over you but you got up, put the photo album down and straddled his lap. Cupping his face in your hands, “Russell Shaw, you stop that right now! You’re an incredible man and I know you’re going to be an incredible father to our son. I don’t care what happened before. It’s done and we can’t change it. All we can do is make a better future. If you’re truly sorry then don’t leave us, don’t leave him. Even if you don’t want to be with me, be there for him. Help me raise him to be an incredible man like his father. I love you, Russell Shaw. Now and forever.” You pulled him into a kiss and his hands ran up your spine and to your hair. Your body was on fire.
You felt his arousal through his jeans. He deepened the kiss and you were melting into his arms. As things started to heat up you felt the need to be in his arms again. “Russell, I need you.” You moaned and his hands slid under your shirt, cupping your breasts. Your hips moved down, pulling a groan from his mouth.
Your heart was pounding in your chest and you were ready for him to take you right there on the couch. Russell pulled away, “Baby as much as I want this, I think we should take it slow. I don’t want to screw this up again. You mean too much to me. Jr means too much to me.” Your heart ached for him, your body ached for him, but you knew he was right.
You nodded and started to climb off of him. He grabbed your hand before you got up, “Y/N wait,” You looked at him and placed a soft kiss on his lips. “It’s okay Russell, you’re right. We really should take this slow. This isn’t just about us anymore, our son is the priority.” “He is, but so are we. I want to rebuild our relationship, one that’s stronger than before. One that is built on love and strength, not just physical attraction, but believe me I am still very attracted to you.”
You chuckled softly, “I know you are.”
Russell stood up and wrapped you in his strong arms. “Thank you for today, and thank you for letting me meet him. I still can’t believe he’s mine, ours.” “Don’t make me regret it, Russell, please.” He cupped your face, “Sweetheart, I promise I won’t.”
The two of you walked to the door and he stopped, pulled you into his arms and kissed you again. “Good night, sweetheart. I’ll call you in the morning if that’s okay.” “That’s more than okay. I know a little boy who would love it actually.” “Well then I guess I better come by for breakfast. I’ll bring the doughnuts.” Russell laughed.
You chuckled, “Russell, please don’t load our son up with sugar.” “Aww come on, let me bring him a doughnut, I’ll bring you coffee.” He fluttered his eyes at you and you smirked. “Fine, but you get to deal with the sugar high and crash.” Russell laughed, “Deal. Sounds like a win win. I get to bring him doughnuts and spend the day with both of you.” He kissed you one last time and winked as he stepped off the porch.
“Good night, Russell. Be careful and I’ll see you in the morning.” He turned as he got to the bottom step, “Good night, Y/N. See you in the morning, sweet dreams darlin’.”
You stood on the porch watching him walk to his car and get in. Watching him drive away your heart was full of so much love. You bit your lip with a smile on your face. For the first time in 3 years you felt like things were starting to fall into place. You were equal parts scared and excited, and the only thing you were sure of was how much love was still between you and Russell.

★knuddelig birthday★
TW: fluff, some kissing and cuddling, untranslated German, m!reader implied
A/N: I’m sorry if this is shit I really rushed this fic since Gustav’s birthday is today :(
Tumblr media
The bedroom was dim, the soft light of a cloudy dawn peeking in through the bedroom windows casting a comforting glow over the two men cuddling in bed. It was an awfully gloomy day for Gustav’s birthday but Gustav didn’t quite care, peacefully asleep with his boyfriend wrapped up in his arms; held against his bare chest. Gustav loved days like this, late mornings spent sleeping and cuddling in their shared bed; even on tours they would get hotel rooms around whoever’s birthday it was, leaving a few days long break to celebrate and relax before resuming the tour.
Gustav hummed, gently pressing a kiss to your head to sooth your sleepy stirring. But the moment he heard soft grunts of consciousness from the figure wrapped up in his arms he smiled.
“..Guten Morgen Schatz..” he whispered softly, his voice deep and husky with sleep as your arms tightened around his bare waist.
“Mein kleines Hündchen…” he murmured affectionately, burying his face in your hair as your head was gently tucked under his chin, your body pressed against his chest in the cocoon of blankets and warmth.
“Mmh… happy birthday Schatz..” you sighed into the crook of his neck, your arms resting sweetly around his waist. His bare skin was warm against yours, his touch gentle and voice husked with sleep. Sure it was early in the morning but you both knew you’d both be asleep again for a while, or you’d both stay in bed until the afternoon.
Bill and Tom were throwing a party for Gustav later in the night so in reality both of you didnt have to get out of bed any time soon. Gustav never liked big spectacles and parties so you knew it’d just be the band, you, and some close friends for tonight’s party and gustav was fine with it.
“Schatz…?” You murmured, pulling back slightly too move face to face with him.
“Hm..?” Gustav hummed back, slightly raising an eyebrow at you as his arms drifted down to wrap around your waist.
“… I- is it okay that I didn’t get you a gift? I couldn’t find anything I thought you’d like..” you were a bit scared to admit it, but you knew Gustav wouldn’t be mad, he never was over something silly like that.
“Mhm, I don’t mind Schätzchen you know that.” Gustav murmured, bringing a gentle hand to the back of your head to pull you into a gentle kiss. You kissed back of course, his lips sweet with the taste of sleep and minty toothpaste that lingered from the night before. The kiss was slow and gentle, filled with love as if you were everything he needed.
“Promise..” he whispered sweetly when he broke the kiss, pecking your lips once more before smiling. “You’re all I need anyway maus.”
“Really..?”
“Yes really, now shush and go back to sleep. You can make up for the missing gift after the party anyway..” Gustav whispered, chuckling softly at his own suggestive tease, yet his tone was full of pure love and honesty. You could feel your cheeks burning as he pulled you impossibly closer; sleep quickly reclaiming both of you as you were tangled in eachother’s arms.

YAYYYY!!! This is for gustav’s birthday! Idk why I don’t make Gustav fics that often, but I do love him just as much, trust me. I usually get my ideas from various edits or clips of them and I never see any gustav edits on TikTok :( anyway, take care of yourselves, love you guys!

His Pretty Cheerleader
Pairing: Lee Know x fem!reader
Genre: Smut, Fluffy
Word Count: 4122
Summary: What happens when you come to find out the man you’ve had a crush on for the longest time also shares those same feelings for you?
Afab!reader, Profanity, Pet names(Baby, Goodgirl,) Use of daddy, Drugs, Alcohol, Corruption kink, Raw sex (Wrap it before you tap it).
As smart as you are, you are also very clueless. Well… Lee Know wouldn’t put it in that way. “She’s just innocent” he defended you. “She’s a ditz” “So?” “So… you like 'em dumb?” Changbin mocked packing up his bag. “Shut up, can you help me or not” “How am I supposed to help you?” “I don’t know you're dating her friend!” “And tell Michelle what ‘Hey Lee Know wants to fuck Y/n you think you can help him out'… do you know how protective Michelle is over her… not only can I mess up what I got going on with Michelle, she can actually kill me” “You scared of your girl” I.N mocked his teammate. “Shut up man she’s scary” “GUYS BEFORE YOU GO HOME REMEMBER YOU NEED TO GET YOUR PICTURES TAKEN FOR THE YEARBOOK” The coach reminded them earning groans and complaints because they did in fact forget.
____________________
You quickly got up putting away your notes from the meeting, It had already ran a little later than you expected. You needed to get home quickly before you made Michelle even more mad for prolonging her horror movie marathon. “Y/n?” “Yes?” You looked up from your bag to your teacher. “I need to talk to you really quick” “What’s up” “Jisung just called he won’t be able to make it for the photoshoot tonight” “Oh no is he okay?” “Yeah yeah it’s just a slight cold… but the reason I’m telling you this is because I need you to cover for him… It’s too late of a notice to reschedule” “Oh um sure… what was he supposed to shoot” “The football team” “Oh… uh you know what I don’t think I’ll be able to make it after all, I have this thing that I have to go to right now” “Y/n please” “Isn’t there anyone else that could do it?” “No… no one else is as good as you and Jisung are so please” “Sure… but I really do have to run afterwards” “It’s fine… I’ll edit the pictures tomorrow morning… the studio’s open just leave the SD card on my desk before you take off” “Yes sir”
Great, you’ve been told various times by Michelle that you can be too nice when it comes to saying no to people. You could say no, You have said no to classmates but saying no to a teacher felt so wrong. “I thought Han was going to take the pictures” Changbin asked, walking into the studio with the rest of the team behind him. “Oh yeah uh he called in sick so I’m gonna be covering for him.” And there he was Lee Minho, the football team's captain, also the guy you’ve had a crush on since the fourth grade when he helped you off the floor after tripping on your own feet. You’ve had classes with him ever since but couldn’t muster up the courage to say more than two words to him. “You sure it’s not obvious” You’d constantly ask your best friend double checking to see if your crush was that noticeable. “It's only obvious to me 'cause I already know” she’d comfort you. “I’m kinda in a rush… I promised my friend I’d watch scary movies with her so I’ll be quick” “You like scary movies?” You locked eyes with him, you had the answer to his question but the words wouldn’t leave your lips, So you simply shook your head. “N-No but it is October”
“Do you wanna look at them?” You asked, beginning to pack up. “We should really go” One of the boys spoke out leading the group out of the studio. “ You smiled waving at the group as they picked up their stuff and left. You began to pack up for the night ready for the wrath that would be bestowed upon you for being this late. “Uh hem” he cleared his throat causing you to jump in place. “Je-sus… you scared me-” you paused, turning around to see Minho staring at you from the entrance of the studio. “C-can I help you” “On second thought could I see the pictures” “Yeah sure just give me a second” You quickly took out the SD card walking over to the computer signing in and pulling up his individual shot. “It still needs to be edited… Mr.Yoon will edit them tom-” “No they look good what are you talking about” “You think?” “Yeah” he smiled sitting down in the chair next to you. “Can I” He motioned over to the mouse. You nodded quickly sliding the mouse to him, your fingers brushing against each other. He didn’t seem to notice, scrolling through the pictures smiling to himself.
“You’re really good… you've been doing this since sixth grade right” “Yeah… how did you-” “Well I’ve seen you at my games with your camera and press pass for the past five years so it’s safe to say that I’ve noticed… although I haven’t seen you at my games lately” “Yeah…I’m not a photographer anymore. I’m an editor… which basically means I could do all positions… in-in yearbook I mean” He laughed, shaking his head at your words. “What is that for by the way” “What?” “The press pass” “Oh it basically lets me into the game for free” “Oh so what you’re saying is that you wouldn’t pay to watch me win” “No No I’m just-” “I’m just messing with you… but you know our girlfriends get in for free too right” “Yeah I noticed when Michelle would go in free to watch Changbin” “They’re cute together” “They really are” “We could be cuter” “I’m sorry?” He placed his hands on your cheek pulling you closer to him. He slowly kissed your lips causing you to freeze in place. The Lee Minho was kissing you. “You okay?” he pulled away, caressing your hand. “I needa go” You whispered, grabbing your bag and rushing out of the studio. “Y/N… Y/N ARE YOU OKAY” Changbin called out behind you, but you couldn’t respond your mind going a million miles per minute.
____________________
Lee Know of course knew of your crush on him, because going against your friends' words it was obvious. He didn’t mind, because what you didn't know was that he too had developed a crush towards you. Ever since you helped him pass his English class in the eighth grade. Most of his tutors in the past made him feel like an idiot for not understanding the lectures, but not you, you never made him feel dumb. You simply made him feel comfortable. With said crush on you, something else harbored as the years went on. He had thoughts, thoughts about you. Thoughts of his head between your thighs making you scream out his name for everyone to hear. Thoughts of corrupting that little head of yours. These thoughts were only stronger this year seeing you in the school's short uniform skirts drove his mind insane every single time. The way that you’d cluelessly bend over to grab anything your clumsy ass would drop, not knowing you were showing Lee Know half of your ass in the process. He was lucky to get seated next to you this year in math, the feeling of your bare thighs brushing up against his every single time you moved in your seat. He wanted you, he didn’t care if you were in the middle of class. If he could have it his way he’d bend you over your desk and fuck you for everyone to see that you were his and only his.
____________________
You breathed out pressing your back against the door of your bedroom catching the attention of your best friend.“Fucking Fin- uh- lee you took forever I almost sent the police out to look for-...Y/n are you okay” “Nuh-uh… Lee Minho and I kissed” You blinked rapidly hearing the words come from your mouth made the situation even more real. “What the fuck happened at this meeting” “No it wasn’t at the meeting” “What I’m confused” You sighed dropping your stuff onto your bed and laying face down on your pillow screaming loudly. “What happened” “Mr. Yoon told me that Han wasn’t going to be able to make it cause he got sick… and since it was last minute he wasn’t able to reschedule the group that Han was supposed to take pictures for… so I had to cover” “I’m not understanding what this has to do with Lee Know” “The group Han was going to take pictures of… was the football team”  “Oh” “Yeah and so I took their pictures and they left… or so I thought, as I’m packing up Minho asks if he could see the pictures so I showed them to him… we start talking then he kissed me” “Did you kiss back” “No” you sighed throwing your head back against your bed frame, disappointment filling your body.“WHY” “I DON’T KNOW I PANICKED” “You think he likes you?” “NO” “NO?! He literally kissed you” “UGH I DON’T KNOW” You yelled screaming into your pillow again. “Y/n it’s okay… everyone has had a bad first kiss…it’s okay” Michelle whispered, rubbing her hand up and down your leg soothingly. “You gonna talk to him tomorrow?” “No” You groaned rolling over to lay in her lap. “Why not?” “I just wanna go to sleep, hopefully this is all just a bad dream” “We don’t kiss our crushes in our nightmares hon” “What do I do Michelle?” “Go to sleep I'll spend the night and we'll figure it out tomorrow”
____________________
Your way of figuring it out? Run away from the problem entirely. You looked around making sure the ‘problem’ wasn’t around. You quickly unlocked your locker, grabbing the textbooks for your next class. “If I didn’t know any better I'd say you’re avoiding me” Minho smirked, leaning against the locker next to yours. “I’m not… I was uh late” “I saw you at breakfast” “Yeah I had to go to the studio” “During class?” “Mhmm yeah, duty calls” “Okay… What are you doing tomorrow” “Studying” “Ditch it… I’m having a party at mine for my birthday” “A cake and balloons party” You asked, closing your locker looking at him. “You’re cute… It's a shots and keg costume party” “I can’t” “You can” “What about your parents?” “What about them” “What are they gonna say” “They’re out of town” “Minho I-” “Call me Lee Know… Minho’s too… formal” he smiled, taking your phone, getting your phone number and texting you. “I’ll text you the address” “I-” “Come… for me” “I’ll try” “I’ll see you there” he smirked, kissing your cheek and walking away” Crap.
“Hey Michy did you hear about Minho’s party” “Yeah Changbin was telling me about it… wait why you asking?” “He invited me” “He what” “He stopped by my locker and told me about it” “So you guys talked” “Well not intentionally I was avoiding him… I even missed math class” “So are you gonna go” “I don’t wanna” “Come on y/n you kind of have to go… if Lee Know invited you personally he definitely wants you there” “I don’t know I really have to study for my test on next Friday” “Come on you gotta go out… it’s senior year we have to celebrate” “We also need to make sure we pass senior year…plus I don’t even have a costume” “Well find something”
And something we found, with the last-minute plans we were both left with the most basic choice. “You don’t think maybe this is a little too short?” You asked pulling down your white silk dress for the fifth time yet. “You look beautiful don’t worry about it” “Maybe we should go back to mine and change” “Y/n I promise you, it's fine you look great”. It really wasn’t too short, the silk nightgown that you had chosen made it mid-thigh, the school's uniform was weirdly shorter but it was the top portion you were unsure about. It had lace on the top portion with very thin straps, because of said thin strap you had no other choice but to go braless. “Can you see anything?” “No you can’t see a thing” Michelle comforted you, opening the car door for you. You finally arrived, you had that unsettling feeling as you walked up the steps to his house. Looking around you noticed the cups and bodies littering his front porch. “Maybe this is a bad idea” You turned around trying to walk back only for Michelle to pull you back. “We’ll stay for an hour… if you still wanna go home after that I’ll drive you myself… okay” "Okay" you nodded, turning around and ringing the doorbell.
“Uh, Y/n what are you doing?” “Ringing the doorbell?”“You don’t ring the doorbell” Michelle laughed passing you and grabbing the door knob. “You just walk in” She opened the door revealing half of your class dancing around to the music blaring through the speakers. Red solo cups with alcohol in hand. “You made it” Minho smiled wrapping his arm around your shoulder. “What are baby” “I'm an angel” “Yeah you are” “and Michy's a dark angel” you smiled, taking Michelle's hand while Lee Know walked you through the crowd. “I’m sorry I didn’t bring you a gift.”You smiled pitifully “Don’t sweat it… You can make it up to me later… you look really good by the way”  he smirked leading the both of you to the kitchen where the island was decorated with various bottles of liquor. Surrounding the drinks were both of your close friends. “Guys Y/n… Y/n the guys” “Hyung we already know each other” Changbin laughed wrapping his arms around Michelle. “Fucking dumbass” Seungmin added punching Lee Knows shoulder. “How much have you had to drink” “Not much” “If not much is 8 shots then he’s right” “Minho” “I thought I told you to call me Lee Know” “Sorry force of habit” “Either that or daddy” “I think I’m going to stick to Lee Know” You smiled accepting the cup Seunngmin was handing you. “This is water right” “Nope that would be Soju” “Oh I don’t drink” “Do it for me” Lee Know smiled helping the cup to your lips. You slowly downed the drink feeling an unfamiliar sting in the back of your throat. This was too new.
“Y/n do you wanna a hit” Felix asked, passing you the rolled blunt. You shook your head passing it to I.N who was sitting next to you. You were all currently trying to fit on Lee Know’s couch passing a blunt amongst the group. Michelle was on Changbin’s lap, I.N in the middle with Felix on his lap. You on Lee Know’s, and Seungmin laying on the back part of where the couch and wall met. Hyunjin lost somewhere in the crowd dancing with a drunked out Han, “You’ve never done this baby?” Lee Know smiled, placing the joint in between the lips inhaling the drugs into his system. He breathed out the smoke into your face. “I thought you guys weren’t allowed to do any of this stuff because of football” You asked looking at your friends “I do whatever I want. Whoever I want” Lee Know whispered moving your face to look at him “… whenever I want” His eyes darkened as he placed one hand on your thigh slowly trailing upwards. You unknowingly opened your legs wider for him. “You wanna try some baby?” he motioned over to the drug. “I’ve never” “It's okay princess I’m here… open those pretty lips for me” he instructed, You parted your lips allowing him to place the joint in between your lips. “Now do exactly what I say okay… You need to inhale” You inhaled “Hold it… Hold it y/n… hold it” You locked eyes with him as you felt the smoke begin to cloud your lungs. You began to cough, feeling the worlds around you begin to grow loopy. “How do you feel” “More” “More?” “More” you whispered, grabbing it from between his fingers. You didn’t know what was making you feel higher, the weed or you being here in Lee Know’s lap with his hands between your thighs.
He was already corrupting you… he felt himself grow hard under you. The thought that he was already ruining you. He needed you. Now.
“You wanna go upstairs?” “To do what” “You know what” He whispered against your ear kissing your neck softly. You nodded, not being able to form any words whatsoever. He led you upstairs slowly. Your head rushing at the thought of what would happen as soon as you two were alone. He opened his bedroom door leading you in. “This is my room” “Not bad” “Not bad?” “Well, I don’t really know what a guy's room is supposed to look like” You whispered sitting on his bed.
Oh you poor thing.
“Did I tell you how good you look” “Yeah when I walked in” Your breath hitched at the feeling of his lips grazing the skin of your neck. “Well, you do… You look so fucking good” He whispered kissing and sucking on your neck surely leaving marks to remind you later that this really happened. “Minho” “What did I say?” he groaned, laying you down. “L-Lee Know” “Hmm?” “I’ve never uh-” “It’s okay baby… I’ll just have to be gentle with you” He kissed down your neck stopping right above your chest. “You sure you wanna do this”. You nodded, biting your lip as you looked at him. He slowly peeled the straps of the costume down exposing your bare chest to him. “You gonna be a good girl for me?” “Mhmm”
Lee Know smiled at the reaction he had on you, all he was doing was just kissing you and you were already clenching your thighs together moving slightly for some friction. He parted his lips slightly around your right nipple, swirling his tongue around slowly while his hand rolled the left one between his fingers. You moaned, quickly bringing your hand up to your mouth to muffle your sounds. “It’s okay… they can’t hear you… you can be as loud as you want”. That was all the conformation you needed. Moving your hand to let out the most pornographic moan as you felt Lee Knows free hand reach down to your sopping cunt. “You’re so wet for me already… you dirty little girl… you really wanted this huh” “Mhmm” “Say it” “Yes” “Yes what” “Yes daddy” You moaned, your hand grabbing his forearm as he began to draw little circles on your clit over your wet panties. “T-take them off… please” “Well I usually don’t take orders” He laughed slipping off your underwear “But since you asked nicely” He continued his motions on your bud. You were still incredibly high, the both of you were. You swear the room was spinning as he circled your clit. “What do you want princess… tell daddy what you want” “Y-Your mouth” “Where baby” “He- here” You motioned to you cunt. Of course he knew what you meant but he needed to hear you.
He took his time taking in the image of your dripping pussy. It glistened with your wetness. You were so beautiful like this. It was even better than he ever imagined. He kissed you softly, licking your juices off his lips. You tasted better than he thought. “Lee know please” “Shhh shhh… it’s okay baby I’m not going anywhere” He whispered, spreading your lips to see you… all of you. The sight itself was enough to make him cum on the spot, but he had to hold it, hold it for you. He licked a long stipe from your entrance to your clit. Without warning he used his tongue to mirror the motions he was doing with his fingers on your clit. You moaned arching your back at the bliss X ten you were feeling due to the drugs. “I’m gonna finger you okay… needa stretch you out for me” He pulled away looking at you, you nodded quickly closing your eyes preparing yourself for him. Now you’ve fingered yourself before but that was nothing compared to Lee Know’s fingers. He started off slowly inserting just one going at a slow pace while he sucked on your clit. He moaned against your cunt sending vibrations right through you driving you absolutely insane. He put in another going at a faster speed. “FUCK LEE KNOW” You yelled gripping his hair feeling a knot in your stomach. “I think I’m gonna come” “Let it go baby… cum on my face princess” His words were enough you did as instructed letting go on his fingers. You were a mess, his mess. “Still with me baby?” he asked, licking every single drop that seeped from your entrance. “Mhmm” you smiled, pulling him closer to connect your lips to his. He pulled off his pants aligning himself at your entrance pulling away from your kiss. He wanted to see you. He wanted to see the innocence leave your eyes. Slowly he sank into you, watching as your face contorted into a mix of both pleasure and pain. “It’s gonna hurt… just give it a second okay” He whispered, brushing some of your hair out of your face. “Tell me when okay” “M’kay” you mumbled searching for his hand grabbing his finger as you adjusted around him.
You began to thrust your hips against him, a tell-tale that you were ready. “Tell me if it hurts and I’ll stop okay” “M’kay” you nodded your other hand wrapping around his arm. He began to thrust slowly in and out of you, careful to not hurt you, but the moans that were spewing out of you were a sign that he was not. “Fuck you’re so tight” He groaned shutting his eyes at the feeling of you around him. This was definitely better than he ever imagined. His speed increased intentionally going at the pace of the music blaring downstairs. He was hitting that special spot with each thrust drawing you closer and closer. This moment felt euphoric to the both of you. You swear you felt your body rising off the bed the closer you got your second orgasm. Time didn’t feel real, nothing did. “I’m gonna cum” You moaned, your nails digging into his arm. He felt the pain but couldn’t care less, you could draw blood for all he cared. “Cum for me baby… cum for me” You hugged him pulling his body closer to yours. You scratched at his back as you tightened around him cumming at the sounds of his grunts and groans at your ear. He kissed your neck, the feeling of you tightening around him throwing him over the edge. He pulled out quickly cumming on your costume. “Fuckkkk” he groaned, laying down next to you.
The both of you laid in silence catching your breath. “You okay?” you smiled turning to look over at him. He was already looking at you worried that he overdid it and hurt you. “I’m more than okay” You whispered intertwining your fingers. “Can I tell you something” He asked, worried of how'd you react. “Hmmm?” “I like you… a lot” “You do” “Mhmm” “Why didn’t you tell me anything” “I tried… last year in Science class… I tossed you a note… you grabbed it and gave it back to me and said” “I think you dropped this” you finished his sentence cringing at your own stupidity. “Yeah” “Yeah I’m an idiot” “No you’re just oblivious” “That too” you laughed looking down. “I like you too” “I know” “You do?” “It was obvious” he laughed pulling you close to him. “Lee Know” “Yeah?” “my costume… it's ruined” you whispered feeling bad about bringing it up. “It’s okay princess… I’ll give you my Jersey… so you can dress up as my cheerleader”
Let's just pretend I didn't post this a day after Lee Knows birthday, but I do have bad news… I have to go camping this weekend so there's a high possibility I won't be able to post. I should have wifi but if I can't i'll just post the day after I come back.

Vampire!Eris x reader
Summary: Eris Vanserra, King of vampires in Prythian, and his bride-to-be celebrate her decision to truly spend forever together. @erisweek2023
A/n: I give you king vampire Eris and his very devoted queen! Eris week has been so much fun, I’ve loved reading everyone’s fics/hc/posts/blurbs, edits, and art! This fandom is so freakin talented and I’m so happy to be on here with you guys❤️ I decided to add links to pictures from Pinterest that I pictured while writing this so don’t forget to click on those besties
Warnings: blood, drinking blood, murder, and I wanna say suggestive
Walking through the garden the skirts of my night black gown dragged over the gravel, my hand outstretched to graze over the soft leaves of the maze of rose bushes I'm following. Reaching the center of the garden I take in the vivid colors of the flowers in the sun.
Closing my eyes I lift my head to take in the comforting embrace of the sun one last time. Tonight is my Turning Ceremony. When Eris proposed last month he gave me the choice of joining him for true eternity as a Vampire, or staying as just Fae until I faded into the After World.
I didn’t think Eris would be able to handle my passing after only a thousand years together. And I couldn’t let my love be heartbroken forever.
Deciding to take a reprieve from the sun I head further into the garden where the roses reside. The white roses are my favorite. Along with the white marble and stone gazebo Eris had built for me when I first moved to the castle.
He took me in when my village kicked me out after accusing me of my fathers murder. I wanted to go somewhere that no one would follow. There had been rumors about the castle on the edge of the dark wood. People were terrified of the place, not even looking in its direction if they could help it. But not me. I had come up with my own stories about the dark castle as a girl. So that’s where I went.
Mine and Eris’s relationship took time. But it was well worth the wait. The King shows me nothing but love and kindness.
I stop and smell the roses. They look so lovely, reflecting the sun's bright rays. I suppose the next time I see them they will look more gray. I have no problem giving up the day time. I was always more of a night owl anyways. My parents constantly struggled to get me to go to sleep at a proper time.
Sitting, I close my eyes again and listen to the creatures of the day. I smile to myself at the buzz of the bees, the rabbits rushing through the brush, and the birds calling to each other. Letting my unbound hair rest behind my shoulders, letting the warm breeze wash over me. Days feel busy but peaceful. It’ll be nice to sit out here at night with Eris. In a quieter peace.
A male behind me clears his throat, one of the Fae day servants. I turn to look at the male over my shoulder with a small smile, “Francis, how are you?” He returns your smile, “Well my lady. And you? Your big evening is coming up.”
“Excited. I just want it to go well. For Eris’s sake.” Francis nods in agreement. “Speaking of the King, he requests your presence in his study.” I stand and let Francis lead me back through the garden and through the iron gate back to the castle grounds.
When we reach the doors to Eris’s study Francis stands to the side, letting me take it from here. Knocking on the door I hear Eris’s gruff voice tell me to come in. He must be concentrating on something.
I gently swing the door open and close it quickly. The grand chandelier and candles are the only light source in the room. I notice Eris has the heavy, dark velvet curtains pulled tight against the windows, not wanting to let a sliver of daylight in.
Eris’s study is one of my favorite rooms in the whole castle. It just feels so…him. He has items from things he is interested in scattered amongst the shelves, maps from ages ago, books that look like they would turn to dust if you held them.
The sofas were quite comfortable as well. When I first started getting to know Eris, and was comfortable being around him alone, we spent many nights here just talking. Enjoying a drink or two until one of us would call it a night. Or a day in his case. Mine soon.
I step up the raised platform where his desk sits and stand next to him, laying a gentle hand on his shoulder. Eris perks up and smiles at me. He takes my hand from its resting place and places soft kisses all over the back of it. “My sweet, how are you feeling today?”
“Happy, my love.” Eris’s smile widens at my words. He was overjoyed when I told him I would turn for him. I don’t think I had seen that much emotion from him. Eris hadn’t stopped showing me that joy.
Eris pushed his chair back, patting one of his muscular thighs for me to sit on. I drape my arms around his shoulders and sit, resting my head on his chest. “Are you nervous at all?” I adjust my neck to look up at him and start to play with the ends of his long auburn hair that’s tied back today. “A little. I just want everything to be perfect is all.”
Eris hums. “It will be my sweet. I will be there with you every step of the way.” Eris brings his hand to cup the back of my neck. His thumb brushed over the small puncture scars from his fangs when he marked me as his. I shiver at the touch.
“Thank you, Eris.” He kisses the top of my head and stands, placing me on the ground as well.
Cupping my face with both hands he stares deeply into my eyes. “I love you so much, y/n. I don’t say this enough, but you have made me the happiest male in the whole world. And I’m so happy it is you who will be by my side forever.”
I feel tears prick at my eyes as Eris rests his forehead against mine. “Oh Eris, you make me so happy too.” I rise up on my toes and connect my lips to his in a short but passionate kiss. It pained me to pull apart from him but I must get ready for tonight. The party will start immediately after sundown and the other lords are already on their way.
“I have to go, my love. I’ll see you later.” Eris gives me one last parting kiss after walking me to the doors. As I walk down the hall towards my chambers I wring my hands to get out my nerves. Tonight would be perfect. And everything will be fine.
Ophelia finished pinning my hair up in a soft, romantic bun with a few strands of hair left loose in my face. When she moved away I turned to check my dress one last time. Staring straight at my reflection I smooth down my red silky dress.
“It’s time my lady.” Ophelia said in a sing-song voice. She holds my door open for me and I float out into the hall.
As I get closer to the ballroom the chattering of our guests gets louder and louder. I stop behind the closed double doors and wait to announced.
I take one last deep breath before putting a stoic look on my face. To show that I’m ready and willing to take this next step.
Eris’s lead advisor announces my arrival and the doors open. Revealing the crowd parted down the middle of the room. Eris’s throne has been moved in here for the occasion. He sits at the end of the makeshift aisle. A long blood-red carpet separating us.
He looks otherworldly in his white suit. The gold embellishments glinting in the candle light that surrounds him. Eris smiles at me, beckoning me forward. Giving me a look that says, you don’t need to worry my sweet it’s just you and me.
I take a step, then another and another. Remembering to pace myself. To not look too eager or too hesitant.
I finally reach Eris with a stupid grin plastered on my face. All stoicism melting away. Before I could kneel at his feet and expose my neck to him he stood.
There were scattered murmurs among the crowd. I couldn’t be bothered to worry about what anyone was saying. Not when Eris is holding my chin between his fingers and looking at me like I’m the only person in the room. “Remember,” he whispers, “I’m here every step of the way.”
I give him a small smile and nod. “Ready?” “Ready.”
Eris turns me to the crowd. As he gives his speech about this being the first Turning Ceremony in two hundred years and he’s glad to give the lords and his subjects to celebrate, I look around the room. I take in the vampire lords for the first time. They’re all so different. I’ll have to ask Eris more about the different courts if I’m to be his queen soon.
As Eris finishes his speech and my attention is brought back to him. He leans down to whisper in my ear. “You smell divine, my sweet. Sinking my fangs into you this evening will be even better than before.” Eris noses down my neck, taking in my scent.
He stops right at my puncture scar and licks. I start getting impatient and push my neck subtly at his mouth. He lets out a breathy chuckle that tickles my skin. “Someone’s eager.” You tsk at him. “Close your eyes and breathe.”
I do as he says in anticipation of the feeling of his fangs sinking into me. After a few more seconds that euphoric pain spreads through me. The intimate scene taking place in front of everyone causing my cheeks to have a pink tint. I bite my lip to hold my moans back.
Eris sucks and sucks and I feel something else. This pain is different than when Eris usually feeds on me. This was the venom Eris prepared me for. It was excruciating. My skin feels tight and clammy. My brain going fuzzy. I feel my canines expand and become sharper.
Eris releases me, wiping at the blood still trickling from my neck.
I can already feel the venom affecting me. Changing my needs and instincts. My mouth feels dry and my tongue heavy. Like a lump of sand I can’t swallow in the middle of my mouth. The mingling of different scents overwhelms me.
Before I know it Eris is sitting me on his throne and snapping at two guards off to the side of the room.
They bring in a Fae female dressed in simple dark robes and force her to her knees at my feet. She looks up at me, closes her eyes, and tilts her neck for me. She must be one of the many Children of the Blessed who sacrifice themselves for these rare rituals.
“For you, my sweet.” Eris says, his voice echoing around the still silent room. I can practically hear everyone holding their breath in anticipation. “Drain her and complete your Turning.” Eris backs away to stand with the court Lords.
I don’t need to be told twice. I grab the female on both sides of her face. I yank her towards me with my new found strength and lean down to sniff her neck. Just like Eris did to me. Her blood is the best thing I’ve smelt in my whole life. Better than any dessert or meal. Better than my favorite white roses.
Without a second thought I bite down into her supple skin and drink like I’m new to the world. The nameless female I drink from occasionally screams from the pain I’m inflicting on her. In the haze of my feeding I’m sure I tried to tell her to be quiet.
Once I feel her go limp I don’t stop. I can’t stop. Not until she’s dry. Not until I’m satisfied.
I can taste the last of her blood coming up. It reminds me of the last of the liquid left in a teapot. I detach myself from her, letting her body fall to the floor. Blood dribbles down my chin and onto my exposed chest. Looking up I search for Eris.
Eris was staring at me with piercing, wild eyes. The corners of his pale lips upturned in a wicked grin. He was looking at me like he had never seen something so beautiful. The sight of me covered in blood, committing myself even further to him brought him joy.
I started to wipe the female's blood from my chin, smearing it on my hands. Eris was before me in an instant. His pale slender hand wrapped around my wrist bringing my hand to his mouth to lick. To taste what my first drink tasted like.
A low growl came from his chest as his eyes closed. I fell forward, still a little weak from the venom and feeding for the first time. My bloody hands leave marks on his crisp white jacket.
Cheers erupt around us. Our guests ecstatic to have a new vampire in their midst. I smile up at my stunning fiancé. The love of my life. My King. I feel like I’m seeing him in a whole new light. Like he’s brighter, more clear.
My smile shows off my fangs and the blood coating my teeth. “Hi.” I whisper at him. The party was in full swing now. Our guests back to chatting and enjoying the music.
“Hello, my sweet.” Eris thumbs at the sharpness of one of my fangs. “You are the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.” His voice smooth and deep.
“Shall we join the party?” He shakes his head a little, “Not yet. I want to admire you like this for a bit longer.”

The kiss started slow, just like how it did the night before. Nothing was rushed, and god was it amazing. As we both started wanting more, he pushed me against the kitchen counter and bit my lip; it could’ve been hard enough to make me bleed, but I really couldn’t care less. I was on cloud nine right now. His breathing was heavy, his hands pushing and pulling me to the way he wanted…needed me. I felt more in this moment than with any other guy I’ve been with.
He grunted once I slid my hand under the collar of his shirt and gripped onto the muscle just between his shoulder blades, in return, he grabbed onto my thighs and hoisted me onto the counter. He pulled me to the edge, molding our bodies together and there was no way we could get any closer. Yet, I wanted to be.
“Y/N.” He whined out.
I hummed in response.
“Y/N”
“Jesus Christ, Y/N, wake the hell up!”
I wake up from the dream I would much rather occupy my time at the moment and give a go-to-hell look to my best friend.
“You have to get up, Felix texted June; you’re supposed to meet Hyunjin today at noon.” Lilith snapped at me.
I drag a hand down my face, realizing how hot it was in the apartment, “Is the AC out again? I’m sweating horribly.”
She sputters out a laugh, “No, the air is fine, it might’ve been that hot little dream you were having…on the couch of all places, shame on you, you little freak.”
My face flushes for sure, “Uhm, what? What are you talking about?”
She crossed her arms, revealing her tanned stomach slightly, “Girl, unless you were running a marathon on your dream, there is no way you weren’t having a sex dream. No one breathes that fast in REM and the amount of squirming you were doing, yeah no way…. Who was it with? I feel like being nosy this morning.”
I zone out for a moment, processing what I really was dreaming about…and she definitely wasn’t wrong. I might as well have been having a sex dream.
About Chris.
And we kissed last night.
Do I know how to feel about it?
No, no I don’t.
All these thoughts flood through my brain as I wrestle with myself before I find my voice, “I don’t wanna talk about it.”
That raises even more questions for my red-haired friend, “Ah, ah, ah…now I really gotta know. Was it Chris?”
My silence is an answer in itself.
“It was! Oh, Jisung owes me money!” She drags out our cheeky friend.
I give in, “Okay, yes, it was-it doesn’t mean anything. It was just a dream…after we…”
I trail off, realizing that I haven’t had a chance to tell her or June that we kissed…well…more like made out.
“After you..” She pauses, “Y/F/N, what did you do? Okay, so after you and Hyunjin get finished with whatever you need to do, we are having a girl’s night. You, me, June, and later if they behave the kids are coming out with us. We haven’t all really been out together yet. But, us three apparently need to have a discussion, you are hiding something and we are getting it out of you tonight.”
I nod, knowing there is no way I am going to find a way out of this. Once Lilith sets her mind to something, it is nearly impossible to change it.
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
Hyunjin meets me at the bus stop close to the dance studio, greeting me formally. His hands are in the pocket of his overcoat, matching my slower pace, “So I saw Chris this morning.”
I feigned disinterest, “Oh, yeah?”
“Mhm, oddly enough, he was in such a good mood this morning.”
“Good, I know he’s been stressed lately.”
“Yeah, he has been, but I asked him why he was in a peachy little mood.”
I stopped in my tracks, looking directly up into my friend’s eyes, “And?”
“And he told me the two of you may or may not have kissed when he dropped you off.”
“Uhm, what?”
“Kissed. Smootched. Swapped spi-”
I interrupt him with a string of blabbers, “Okay, I get it, ugh…why’d you have to put it that way?”
He shrugged his broad shoulders, “You seemed like you didn’t understand what I was trying to say, so I listed off other words for it so you could.”
I facepalm myself and we continue walking into the studio. We sit down and he shows me his final product of his end of the project that was submitted and performed for his class. I watch on his computer as his body moves effortlessly in the waves he has practiced. Every move he drew out was precise and just…art. The way his body moved just perfectly with the song I was so insecure about made me think that maybe it wasn’t as bad as I kept trying to convince myself.
I commend him on his performance and ask when he was supposed to get his feedback and final grade.
“The professor said they were going to go back over all the footage and write out detailed notes and that we would get them after the break.”
“I wonder if all the instructors are getting together on the break or something because mine said the same thing about the composing end of it.” I added.
“Could be, I mean, there aren’t that many submissions due to it being groupings, so they might be really detailed about it.”
We talked amongst ourselves for an hour about various topics before I brought up the plans for tonight, letting him know that they were all invited.
“I’m assuming since Lilith wants to have “girl-time” I’m concluding that you haven’t told them what happened with Chris?” He asks boldly.
“No, I just don’t know how to bring it up. I mean, I’m sure Lilith has a feeling-if she doesn’t already know because she grilled me this morning.”
“God you’re lucky…” he trails off, realizing what he stated out loud.
“Hyun, you’re drooling a little.” I motion for him to wipe the corner of his mouth teasingly.
“Hey, I am not ashamed of the feelings I have for that woman she is…” he trails off again, “she just…ugh, I don’t even have words.”
“Talk about pussy-whipped,” I hear from behind me at the entrance of the room, “this is all I hear about when you three aren’t around.”
Jisung is walking in, one hand pulling the zipper of his oversized hoodie and the other is pulling off his beanie as he teases his roommate. Felix is beside him with a drink carrier of coffee. Jisung was the one to speak first out of the pair.
“Yeah, and the other quarter of us is no better.” Felix voices from beside him, handing the two of us each a coffee. I thank him and take a drink, enjoying the sweet taste and loving the bitter aftertaste even more.
‘Oh, they can’t be that bad, guys.” I add to the conversation.
“Y/N, if you could spend just an hour in our shoes, you would pity the two of us, we perish in whiny roommates. And it is your fault…well sort of.” Jisung laughs from his belly as he sips on his drink.
Hyunjin brings up the plans for tonight and the newcomers are eager to go, stating that they need it after the stress of their finals started to get to them. I understood that with everything in me, still exhausted from the panic attack I experienced the day before. Somehow all three of the guys got word of the situation between Chris and me, which Felix gladly brought up.
“Yeah, Jisung owes several people some money now, so Y/N, thank you for your contribution to the Felix fund.” Felix winks in my direction gratefully.
“I do have a question for you, though.” Jisung begins.
I raised my brows in response, indicating to him that I was ready for said question.
“What does this mean for you guys? Like, was it a one-time thing? Are you dating? Do you even know?”
Yikes…I hadn’t even thought about it in all honesty. Not like that.
Before I could get a word out about it, Chris walks in.
Did everyone just decide to gather today?
So I just keep my mouth shut and change the subject.

Sweet home chicago (jason todd x afab!reader)
chapter one
Rating: 18+
Warnings: eventual smut, swearing, father figure dick grayson, skater tim drake, sad jason todd :(
Summary: dick and tim trick jason into taking a vacation in chicago. There, he meets someone he hopes to never forget.
Note: im sorry for dipping, yall. I really had some important things to take care of.
ao3
Amber and rose peeked through the hedge between the array of buildings on Michigan Avenue. Jason blended himself with the sea of tourists and chic aristocrats. He didn’t necessarily stick out like a sore thumb, as there were a few Chicagoans dressed casually like him; even in the late-November evening, he sported his signature red hoodie and straight fit jeans, tattered and dirty near the hem. No matter what, he wanted to appear mildly stressed, only mildly, so as to not draw more attention to himself than his six-foot-four frame already did.
He wondered how he got here. Was it the phone call from Dick, or the two dozen from Tim? Could it have been neither, and he perhaps wanted to rush the plane during the busiest season, nudged in a lousy middle seat between an obnoxious preteen and a middle-aged woman watching poorly edited, extremist conservative media? To be fair, Jason treated himself to Portillo’s once he left the airport - a well-earned reward for not lashing out at the self-absorbed individuals beside him.
He stepped briskly, moving in sync with the less-anxious of the crowd toward the shopping district notoriously named Magnificent Mile. On his left ear, he heard the excitement in the tune of indistinguishable conversations and the season’s final water taxis boarding; in his right, a wireless earbud, softly playing his childhood favorite, Diana Ross and the Supremes.
Once he reached the other end of the bridge, he strolled to the sidewalk in front of Tribune Tower, pulling his phone out and indiscreetly sending a message of his coordinates to-
A call. “As much as I love the smell of fish, garbage, and the crooked CPD, why did you and Tim want me here?” Jason was more curious than upset, but he’d rather not disclose his true feelings to his brothers.
“C’mon, Jay, it’s the Windy City! You ever been to Chicago?” Dick asked. “Beautiful everything here. Tim’s at the Van store up the street, and I’m grabbing a slice of pizza across from ya. You wanna come over and get a slice, grumpy? You get a little hangry sometimes.”
Jason sighed, and his stomach grumbled in response to the offer. “Alright, but I’m not goin’ outside. I sat next to some wackjob on the flight who sounded like she needed to be in the looney bin, and I’m not lookin’ to make friends.” As he spoke, he quickly turned his head before dashing across the busy street, waving off a car blaring its horn at him. “What’do’ey have?”
“How about you see?” Dick approached Jason, smiling mischievously. Jason ended the call, moving his eyes to Dick’s hands behind his back. “Guess what I got?”
“Dick, I’m not in the mood for games-”
“Ta-da!” Dick shifted in his coat, revealing a white box with a drawn pizza and the name Lou Malnati’s on it. Jason pretended like his mouth didn’t water at the smell of grease and garlic. “I had ‘em make a classic cheese with those square slices. How about we sit down on the riverfront and talk?”
And talk. No matter the temptation, be it a buttery, gooey pizza right under Jason’s nose, he still believed it wasn’t worth the compromise of having to make more than small talk with others. “Listen, Dickie, as much as I appreciate the offer, I don’t think I’m ready to talk about-”
“Dude, this isn’t about Artemis, if that’s what you’re about to say.” Dick shrugged in his beige peacoat, a piece of his thick, navy, knitted cardigan spilling from his waist. “I just want to, y’know, see if you want to go to this thing tonight.”
Jason cocked a brow in his theatrical manner. “So you and Tim badgered me, had me fly all the way to goddamn Chicago, all to just talk over some overpriced pizza?” Around him, he felt the glare of customers, but he doubled down, giving them knowing looks. “I’ve been here. Want a real place? Go to the goddamn place off Clark and Dickens. You’ll thank me later.”
Dick rolled his eyes, already tired by Jason’s heels in the sand. “Always gotta be a drama queen. Just…come with me. I’ll explain once we’re out of earshot.” His voice was hushed, signaling Jason to follow suit. They walked together to the riverwalk, sitting on the cold high-risen edging. Dick delicately opened the lid of the box, revealing the savory American delicacy and motioning for Jason to take the first slice.
Once Jason reached for the slice, taking his first bite and stretching the rosemary-seasoned cheese from its bed atop the crust, Dick began. “Tim and I were thinking that the three of us could use a break.” Jason grumbled indistinctly into his pizza slice, swirling the string of cheese around his tongue in a tight noose. “Bruce has been a handful lately - I mean, he always is - and I think it would be a good lesson for him to finally be on his own instead of taking us for granted, y’know?”
Jason nodded, rearranging his food to one side of his mouth so he could speak with the other. “You do know that Bruce is probably better off without me, right? Since I-” he swallowed the food, kissing the excess sauce and garlic from his teeth, “leave a ‘pretty big mess’, as he says.”
“You also help. Gang-related crime decreased about 37 percent when Red Hood regularly patrolled, and the Gotham Gazette did a poll, based on before and after Red: thanks to Red Hood, 6 out of 10 female Gothamites feel safe walking home at night, compared to the 3 out of 10 prior to Red Hood’s introduction.”
The statistic surprised Jason. He was used to the smearing from Justice League’s best, so it was nice to hear a compliment for a change. “And Timmy’s on board with this?” He didn’t hesitate to take a second slice, while Dick left the pizza untouched.
“He was the one who coined it.” Dick looked out at the river, mildly put off by Jason’s shameless eating habits. “We were patrolling one night and he just said it out of the blue. I get it, though.” He pursed his lips, staring wistfully. “I couldn’t tell you before because then you wouldn’t agree to it.”
Dick was right: when he’d offer to take Jason in after they reconciled, Jason refused. Though not Bruce’s blood son, Jason was comparably stubborn, sometimes surpassing the Dark Knight. “And where are we gonna stay?”
“That’s the best part.” Dick finally reached for a slice, folding it in half and dipping a chunk into his mouth to cut from the slice. “Tim hacked into Bruce’s business travel account and used some of his points to book a stay at some fancy place called Waldalf…lemme check.” Dick reached into his peacoat pocket and pulled out his phone, checking the reservation. He continued to chew, as did Jason, and Dick leaned over to show Jason the reservation email. “Astoria. It’s a couple of blocks here, I think. Worst case, we can just use a taxi or Uber there or something.”
“I’m banned from using Uber.” Jason said nonchalantly, squinting at the details on Dick’s pristine phone screen before looking the name up for himself. “I can walk as long as I can have another slice.”
Dick blinked at Jason blankly before glancing at the remnants of the pizza. “Take the small one right there.” Removing a wrinkled, discolored restaurant napkin from his back pocket, Jason snatched the slice with an asymmetrical, genuine smile, now holding a slice in each hand. Dick bit his tongue in his mouth to keep himself from laughing. If he hadn’t held a slice in his, he would have snapped a photo to send to the family group chat. “We’re already checked in, so just bring whatever luggage you have with you.”
Jason looked up from his slices like a deer in the headlights. “Sorry, I didn’t think to bring anything other than the usual.” With a slice, he vaguely gestured to his dirty clothes.
“I was…expecting that.” Dick chuckled lightly. “I brought you some clothes so you could go out and enjoy yourself for a change.” He spotted Jason’s eye roll. “You’re in your twenties, for crying out loud. Enjoy yourself! Make a friend. Would it kill you to just live?”
As Jason shook his head, a few strands of grey fell from his messily combed back hair and onto his forehead. “What, is coming back from the dead and seeking vengeance to blood-thirsty psychopaths not living?”
“No, it’s not.” a voice came from the other side of the riverwalk, by the bustling street: a lanky-built male, wearing a beige Santa Cruz sweatshirt and dark jeans, strolled on his skateboard toward the brothers. “And by the way, Jason, you look no different than the bourgeoisie skimming the racks at Urban Outfitters over there.” Jason’s frown dropped at Tim, already bugged by him. “Me and Dick were basically wanting you to, y’know, socialize like a normal human being. I know you’re an introvert, I get that, but you’ve gotta, y’know…converse.”
Jason stood from the platform, brushing the suggestion from his broad shoulders. “Jesus, and you wonder why I don’t want to hang out with you guys.” he made an excuse and walked back toward Michigan Ave, finishing his slices along the way.
“By the way, Dick.” Tim nudged Dick with his elbow, showing him a photo of zoomed-in Jason, a few minutes earlier, smiling goofily with his two slices of pizza pie.
Dick erupted into laughter, doubling over and nearly knocking over the box.
-
“You got the terrace suite?” Jason muttered in blustering shock. “Bruce is going to be so pissed.” His lips stretched into a wide smile.
He plopped onto the sleeper sofa, sprawling his limbs out to relax. Dick assigned Jason to the couch (“Finder’s keepers!”), while Dick and Tim each slept in their separate rooms. “We already received a warning about how you’re dressed, Jason, so if you could please promptly change into something more appropriate, I’m sure this stay would be more enjoyable for all of us.” Dick managed to remain calm while conveying, despite the fatherly-level of disappointment underneath his skin.
Heeding Dick’s advice, Jason made his way to Dick’s room, where he opened up the luggage Dick neatly packed for him: a pair of dress shoes, two pairs of socks and boxer briefs (all red, for continuity’s sake), along with a lightweight, tightly knitted sweater, t-shirt, long-sleeve undershirts, and two pairs of slacks (one beige, one black). Jason sighed halfheartedly, bummed by the array chosen for him. He knew, of course, it was his responsibility to select his own attire, but of course he’d forgotten it, lost in the chaos of his everyday life; Dick anticipated Jason’s reaction, and packed something nonetheless, and although grateful, Jason still hesitated to express it.
While Tim and Dick explored the depths of downtown, Jason immersed himself into the room, quietly exploring the channels that Astoria offered.
Knock, knock. “Housekeeping!”
Jason yelled back, “Come in.” while munching on a bag of corn chips on the couch, eyes lasered on the television screen.
The housekeeper, wearing a black and sky blue uniform, pushed his trolley in. “Are you enjoying your stay, Sir?”
Jason shrugged. “My ma was a housekeeper for a bit. Don’t worry about the ‘sir’ stuff, it’s all good.” The response was new to the employee, who stood for a moment before excusing himself to clean the bathroom and bedrooms.
“Sir,” the housekeeper returned, gripping the trolley behind him with a single hand. “Would you mind vacating the room while I clean, or should I return if you are…busy?”
Jason looked at the chip crumbs on his hoodie before looking back at the housekeeper. “I’ve no problem leaving. I’ve gotta change, so I’ll go the other room. Could you just lock the door when you leave?”
“Absolutely, Sir.” the housekeeper said before Jason shut the bathroom door, slacks and sweater in hand.
Stepping out from the courtyard of the hotel premises, Jason wandered down the corner, unable to prevent himself from making grotesque faces at the high-end stores nearby. The breeze chilled the skin on his face to the point where it eventually felt like he was kissed by needles, and he unlocked his phone to find a place to settle down and (hopefully) eat. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed an approaching blotch of yellow and blue, to which he immediately hailed down. A taxi parked along the curb, and Jason hopped in. “Could you please take me away from here? Some place with some good food?”
The driver gave Jason a look of uncertainty, pondering before nodding and starting the meter.
Jason sat back and relaxed as giant metallic letters standing proudly on top of clear, godliness glass storefronts began to disappear, one by one, until they were replaced with bulletins and signs, and tented storefronts matched with painted, worn down brickwork.
He exhaled in relief. Despite living with Bruce and his luxurious lifestyle, the unspoken language of wealth was still foreign to Jason. He didn’t understand why the affluent would whisper, and why evil would poison their tongue and burn away at their heart once their financial wealth accrued.
After slipping the taxi driver a couple of hundred dollar bills, Jason abruptly left the vehicle, reading the name of the restaurant to himself. “Like the song…?” he asked the driver, who nodded.
“Different spelling, different things.”
Jason inhaled nasily, chest rising. “Alrighty, thanks, man.”
The driver nodded once again before waving and merging back into traffic. Jason entered the restaurant and was instantly greeted with sweet and savory notes, causing Jason’s stomach to cramp in pain. He walked up to the counter, so clean that he could almost make his reflection out, and waited for an employee to serve him. While he waited, he studied the menu: sandwiches, soups, and more appetizers to choose from. He chewed on his bottom lip, distressed when deciding between pasteles (mix of plantain mix and meat, wrapped in a banana leaf) or mofongo (stuffed plantain).
“When you’re ready, I can take you.” A voice notified him as he stood like a bronze statue before the menu.
He didn’t take his eyes off the photos above the counter. “Sorry about this, I’m a first timer - what are your pasteles filled with?”
“Usually pork or chicken, but we make them with cheese now since there are some vegetarians.”
“Could I have just pasteles, one with cheese filling and one with chicken?” Jason asked.
The clerk pressed a button on the register, which was a tablet with a brightly lit screen. “Sure thing. Anything else?”
“Yeah, and…pastellitos de guayaba? Can I have that, too? And water.”
The clerk pressed the screen a few times, noting down Jason’s order. “Of course. For here or to go?”
Jason finally tore his eyes from the menu to look at the clerk, and his mouth fell open at the sight of the clerk: hair was tightly curled, coiled from their roots; lips plump and glossy, appearing much more enticing to Jason than the food he ogled at.
“Here.” he stuttered, feeling heat rise up to his neck. The clerk smiled at him, and they placed their hand on their wide hip, bringing Jason’s eye to it.
“It’ll be ready in a bit. We’ll bring it to your seat, yeah? Sientate.” They motioned with their nose at the dining area, a selection of polished wooden chairs and tables to choose from.
Before he could ask for their name, the clerk rushed to the kitchen of the restaurant, repeating his order to the rest of the staff. Jason watched them walk away, their bottom half swaying in the leggings they wore, before he realized his leering and chose an empty seat and table near the colorful mural.
Thoughts rushed to the tall man’s head, some impure ones welcoming themselves for the first time since he and Artemis parted. Their relationship was, in short, complicated, and neither of them were fully transparent toward another, leading to the inevitable diffusion of the once-kindled fire; it didn’t break Jason’s heart, but rather disappointed him, and he felt that his fate of inescapable loneliness was encapsulated.
The clerk reappeared from the kitchen, holding two plates of food. They walked past Jason, ignoring whatever eye contact he attempted to make at them, and attended to the table diagonally from his. “Y te quedas a tu mama, ok?” They spoke warmly but sternly to the couple, before leaving with a grin. “And you,” they pointed at Jason, “your pastellios should be ready in one to two minutes, okay?”
Jason nodded frantically, popping an optimistic grin. “Can’t wait.”
“I know.” they winked at Jason before turning back around and walking through the revolving door leading to the kitchen. Jason felt something distant in his stomach. Perhaps hunger?
In a few minutes, the mysterious clerk returned, holding what Jason hoped was his food. When they arrived at his table, settling the plates down delicately before handing him cutlery and a glass, he beamed first at the food, then at the beautiful clerk. He didn’t know which he was more excited for. “Thank you!”
“Not a problem.” they returned his smile, eyes glistening at him. “Our chef is working on something else for you to carry out, free of charge. Can’t let you starve out on us, right, big guy?” their eyes briefly scanned Jason’s figure, which caused Jason’s cheeks to flush a bright pink.
They’re hitting on me, the fuck. “Thanks! I was hoping maybe I can come back, get your name?”
“Oooh, I like the sound of that.” their voice dipped an octave, and Jason swore he felt his pants tighten under the table. He shifted in his seat uncomfortably. “How about I save you the trouble and tell ya now, that way next time you can take me out for dessert?”
Jason smirked at them, slowly checking their figure out before focusing his attention back on their eyes. “Sure.”
“It’s y/n.” they purred, reaching their hand to rest on Jason’s bicep. Their skin was soft, yet calloused. “And you are…?”
“Jason.” he grinned. “Sorry, I’m new at this.”
“Don’t worry.” they assured. “I’m here if you need anything. And if you decide to take me on that offer, my number is in the check right there.” they pointed to the black checkbook beside the plates of food. Jason’s skin was burning under their touch, and when y/n had to leave, Jason felt a twinge of sadness when they retracted their hand.
Unraveling his cutlery from the napkin, Jason made sure to make an important phone call before his vacation ended.

Minho Breakup Headcanons
Glade Edition, Fem!Reader, SFW
Tumblr media
Breakup was kinda mutual
He was starting to take you for granted so you lost feelings
The whole thing just went cold
You initiated the break up & once you left he finally fully realized how much he fucked up
He goes total ghost mode
People hardly hear from or see him
“Have you seen Minho recently?” “I haven’t seen him in like, 2 days,” “Well that’s better than me I haven’t seen him in 3”
Waits outside the Maze for the doors to open every morning
Doesn’t come back until the doors are almost closed at night
Then heads straight to his hut
Where he doesn’t leave until the next morning
Rinse & repeat
That's how he deals with his feelings; working himself to death
“You sure you don’t want to take a break, Minho?” “No I’m fine,” “We’ve been staring at the same section on the map for like 3 hours. I think we can pack it up for tonight” “Fine, if you’re not gonna help me, I’ll just do it myself”
Dissociates at bonfires, just sitting motionless staring into the flames
Doesn’t wanna drink, doesn’t think it’ll help
When he sees you around the Glade he feels like he can’t breathe
Like a rock’s been dropped on his chest
Gets physical therapy from the med-jacks because his legs are just. so. sore.
He literally takes 0 breaks so he constantly has shin splints and shooting pains
When the med-jacks massage his legs, for whatever reason, that’s the only time he can cry
Something about the pain being released in his legs
He can finally let it out
Apologizes profusely to them
They agree to keep his secret
Constantly zones out
Just sits there with a blank expression on his face
Replaying all the interactions with you he wish he would have reacted differently to
“MINHO!” “What?!” “I’ve been telling you a story for like 3 minutes; did you not hear a shuckin’ word?” “Sorry, sorry; what did you say?”
Really low appetite
Newt brings food to his hut and doesn’t leave until he at least eats something
Can’t really sleep, just stares at the ceiling for hours
Exhausted but restless at the same time
Has like, designer eye bags
Like they’re dark purple and he just looks awful all the time
One day you finally move on and he sees you kiss another guy at a bonfire
Immediately marches up to Gally and asks for the strongest drink he has
Downs the bottle straight away
Gets weirdly giggly and happy-seeming when the alcohol hits
His friends are all concerned bc obviously that’s not right
Its the 1st time he’s been drunk since the breakup
Finally after he almost falls into the fire, they carry him back to his hut
He flops on his bed, head pounding & room spinning
And all the sudden
All the feelings rush in
The alcohol didn’t get rid of them; it amplified them
He just sobs in his friends arms for a minute
“I really fucked up. I lost her. And now she’s with him and she’s not coming back” “I know Minho. You gotta move on. You’ll be ok” “I just- I really fuckin miss her”

Night Swimming With Dabi - Dabi x Reader
Fluff/hurt/comfort | Summary: Night swimming with Dabi
WARNINGS: SPOILERS for Dabi’s backstory, suggestive comments, reader’s in a bathing suit, Dabi is shirtless and applies sunscreen to the reader’s back, kissing, lots of skinship, scars, burns, lemme know if I missed smth! I’ll edit grammar tmr
- -
“Dabi…!”
He grinned behind the window, his knock hitting air as you scrambled to open it. Your clock read midnight, cool night breeze spilling into your room as much as the moonlight did.
You noticed the bag he held as he slipped inside. Your heart was racing, gently holding his arms and padding him down. When your hands landed on his chest, you felt the rumble of his laugh underneath your palms.
“Touchy, aren’t you doll?” He said smoothly, planting his hands at your waist, pulling you closer. “Dreamin’ of me or something?”
Heat flooded your cheeks. He clearly wasn’t hurt this time. Memories of him gasping for breath, nearly falling on-top of you and leaving blood on your window filled your head. The man’s white shirt you clutched too was usually ridden with blood and wholes when he visited at this hour. Despite the fabric being white as the moon, you couldn’t help but lift up his shirt. The tips of your ears burned red at his teases. Relief flooded your body when all your eyes landed on was old scars, no fresh ones but a few bruises.
Biting your lip, you wanted to tend to them more somehow. Letting his shirt fell, nothing in this world could had prepared you for the look Dabi was giving you. For once, it wasn’t cocky or smirky - his lips were pressed in a firm line. Whatever laid behind those pretty blue eyes of his was indescribable.
You still had to ask. “You’re not hurt, are you?”
“You really want this off, don’t ya?” He asked, cocky and smirky again while he tugged slightly at the low- cut collar of his shirt, showing off the top of his pecs. “Relax, you’ll get what you want soon.”
It was true you only saw Dabi shirtless when you were patching him up. Heat flooded your face for the upteenth time tonight, your eyes glancing to your bed. He followed your gaze slightly, rolling his eyes.
“…Get your mind out of the gutter, yeah?” He mumbled, slipping the bag off his wrist as he lightly tossed it on your bed with a soft thump. Something coloured was visible through the thin plastic. You moved to peek inside.
“What’s this?” You whispered softly, heart fluttering as you gently pulled out the contents. It was a bathing suit. Not just any bathing suit, it was the one you said you wanted. You also noticed the receipt was in the bag - the villain’s subtle way of telling you he bought it. Moreover, it meant Dabi would never gift you something stolen.
Gift. “Thank you Dabi…”
You looked at him. The tension left his body as you smiled, rushing to him with the bathing suit still in hand as you pecked his lips. For all the teasing he threw at you, his stiffness meant he was caught off guard. While you surprised him, nothing could stop his lips meeting yours as if you were the missing piece to his puzzle.
“Are you taking me swimming?” You asked with a giddy smile.
Dabi’s eye roll held no venom, nodding at your bathing suit. “No, I’m not. Just wanted you to sleep with that thing like a teddy bear,” he answered dryly, stepping towards the door. “Get changed, and I’ll wait for you downstairs.”
A surge of confidence washed over you. “You don’t wanna watch?”
He coughed abruptly, fumbling with the door knob and closing the door once he left. The villain was truly innocent when it came to you.
Chucking slightly, you changed. You checked yourself out in the mirror. It was a perfect fit and your favourite colour. Grabbing a bottle of sunscreen, you rushed down the stairs and nearly missed a few steps. You slipped on your flip flops, linking your arm in his as you beckoned him to the door. Dabi only stared at you, his eyes the only part of him visible in his high-zipped jacket. It was a gentle look until it wasn’t, as he tilted your chin up. What he whispered in your ear made your knees weak, and he laughed at the pout you wore.
Patting his chest lightly, you mustered, “My goodness, you’re shameless!”
“We’ll I sure hope so,” he said, capturing your wrist and smiling into the kiss he pressed against your pulse.
“Yeah, yeah, listen, where’s your bathing suit? You look dressed an ice bath or something.”
“I am a super villain, in case you forgot doll.”
When Dabi saw you reach for the doorknob, a low, “Not so fast” stopped your movements. Before you could turn around, a jacket was draped over your shoulders. Dabi’s jacket. It was cleaned, which was unusual, and beyond the lavender detergent was the underlying scent of smoke and cigars. You could tell he tried to get rid of it.
“Was gon’ say sorry for it smelling funny,” he said, grabbing your hand, “But since you sniffing it like other dogs sniff other dog’s butts, guess next time I’ll skip the washer.”
“Oh my god.” You said as he snorted, unable to keep a straight face. “Did you just compare me to a dog? Babe, I didn’t know you were such the romantic.”
“Now you do,” he laughed, a sound as sweet as it was rare.
As the door opened, you were hit with the smell of spring and the cool night breeze. Dabi tucked his jacket tighter around your shoulders, leading you down an alleyway so dark the moonlight barely reached.
“Stay close, yeah?” He whispered to you softly, intertwining your fingers together while his other hand slipped around your waist.
“I haven’t yet burnt all the creeps in this world that’d lay their filthy hands on you.”
Dabi led you to a faraway lake outside the city. You lived closer to the country areas of Japan, where the streets were replaced with rolling beaches and shimmering lakes. Moonlight danced upon the waters, and the night sky was absent of buildings except for a shining, full moon.
The air carried the smell of water with it, the smell of distant trees whistling by you as the leaves budded in the midst of Spring. A few stars laid overhead now that you squinted, and the moon casted its waving reflection in the waters. Waves crashed against the rocks.
You laid down a towel in the sand, gently folding up Dabi’s jacket and doing the same to the other he shrugged off. You brought out a bottle of sunscreen, applying it your face, arms and legs. You glanced at your boyfriend, who’s brows were furrowed. He looked at you like you had two heads.
“There’s literally no sun—“
“Shush and do my back.”
Dabi grumbled a bit as he rubbed the stupid sunscreen onto his palms. He was hesitant to lay his scarred and rough hands on your back, worried his staples would rub against your soft, and unscathed skin. Yes, your skin bore some imperfections that were perfectly gorgeous. Any scars or birthmarks you bore were nothing compared to the patches of discoloured and dead flesh stapled all over his body. His hand barely hovered over your skin at first, and when you complained, he grunted and gently spread the cream over your back.
You must had been really set on applying this stuff if you were willing to go as far as have his disgusting hands wander your back. If wearing sun protection at night wasn’t any hint.
When he was done, you turned around and smiled at him. “Thanks, baby.”
He nodded. You looked at him like you were expecting more, while the man was still waiting for a remark about how disgusting his touch was even after his hands left your body.
He got up, and you gently grabbed his arm. Your fingers curled around the healthy parts of his skin, cautious of his scars even though they were unfeeling. You didn’t want to touch them.
“Let me apply some on you,” you said.
He gently shrugged you off. “Not that It’s was ever a concern, but I’m already burnt, darling.”
You frowned slightly. It was meant to be something like a joke, despite it being true. Whatever it was, it wasn’t supposed to fill your eyes with pity. The man’s hatred for pity dug roots deep within his core.
His eyes glanced towards the lake. “…we just gon’ stand here or what?”
You smiled at him. Cheekily. “I don’t know… you don’t look pretty ready to me.”
“I took my jacket off.”
You tugged on his shirt lightly, saying, “I thought you said I’d get what I want.”
His eyes widened slightly at your boldness. If his shirt wasn’t hiding the sloppy scars and staples over his stomach and chest, he would had you burying your steaming face against him - a sight he was quite fond of.
Your eyes softened, flirty tone disappearing. “You know it’s nothing I’ve never seen before.”
“Of course I know that,” he muttered. It was true. You’ve seen his scars, tended to them, stitched him where he needed stitches and stapled where he needed staples. In those moments, you were focused on keeping him alive, keeping the blood in his veins. You weren’t… dare he say admiring him, really noticing how his body looked like. Those dire moments left no time for you decide if you liked his appearance or not.
The truth was, he did not look much different than he did on a ‘good’ day today than a bad one. The truth was, Dabi’s stomach was in knots at the thought of him taking off his shirt and deciding you didn’t like what his quirk had done to him.
“I… was just teasing,” you whispered softer than the wind breezing past. “I’m sorry.”
Dabi grit his teeth. He always did this, always burned the mood. The man only stopped gritting to blow smoke out of his mouth, hating the way your eyes downturned.
You were in his arms in a second, yelping. Your expression was pretty cute. He had a hand underneath your thigh, exchanging glances between you and the lake. You gawked at him, and he shut you a toothy grin as he sprinted towards the water.
Cold water splashed into you both. The lake’s waves gently rolled into stillness once you made contact with the water. A mere drop against your skin and your quirk let you control surrounding bodies of it. Your laughter crowded his senses, the softness of your hands on his shoulders as you nuzzled your face into his neck. Butterflies erupted in his stomach as you started planting gentle kisses on his neck, your lips moving across the scarred, coarse flesh shamelessly. As if his skin was as soft as yours.
“Cutest villian around,” you said, for no damn reason whatsoever.
He decided with a smirk he was going to punish you for calling him such a revolting thing. Cute? If that was a joke, he wasn’t laughing.
Once he was deep enough, he threw you into the water with a grand SPLASH!
Chuckling, he looked down at your wet hair and pout - eyes burning with a fury he’s never seen before. Dabi had faced heroes and villains, the worst parts, people in society ever since he was a young boy. The villian endured the anger of a father who deemed his son not good enough, and burned himself out trying to prove he was. He was tugged by the clothes on his back the like you tugged his shirt with a shocking strength, and was dragged through the ash as quickly as you pulled him into the water.
Popping his head above the water, you laughed at the fact how his raven spikes still defied gravity when they were wet. He ran a hand through his wet hair, the other splashing you with a wave of water.
You laughed and splashed him back, he finally realized. This was so different. Your eyes were absent of fury, there was no flames in your touch as you wrapped your arms around his neck, dipping his hands underwater to straddle your hips, holding you when your legs got tired of treading. It was as if your touch brought the nerves he burned back into his scarred flesh, like he could feel the love behind your teases and retaliations. The word made his throat close up, and tried to swallow him up like the water if he stopped treading his legs.
His wet shirt clung uncomfortably to his body. The thin fabric was a wall between you both. Dabi wanted to be flush against your body. He wanted to explore every expanse of you the moonlight touched, and was willing to let you do the same. Dabi knew he was obsessed, the man wanted to be as close to you, as connected as each droplet in this body of water.
You treaded for a bit as he took off his shirt. He discarded it, instantly scooping you up in his arms. A part of him wanted to bury his face into your shoulder and from your gaze. He surprised himself when he didn’t. The moon casted a wreath of its glow around your figure, deeming you ethereal and not made to fit against his broken body so perfectly.
Pressing his forehead against yours, he shut his eyes. His stomach turned at the thought of his staples hurting you. You made no sign of it, resting your hands on his face and tracing the scars along his jaw. The water moved softly around you, as your touch flowed from the scars on his face to the blotchy, burns on his body much like it.
He strengthened his hold on you when you brought one of his hands to your lips, kissing his wrecked knuckles and not flinching at cold metal against your skin. Your affections made him breathless, and yet he kissed your lips as if they’d grant him his last breath. The sensations, the warmth took him like a gentle tide, overtaking him, saving him from the flaming shores. You were the opposite of a kindling. You were a dousing strong enough to make him forget his flames and the sweltering depths of hell he was forced to tread through.
You treaded your fingers through his wet strands, breaths mingling together. You wore a smile, crystallized droplets falling off your body as you rose in his embrace. The man’s strong arms steadied you.
“I’ll never let you go,” he whispered, rubbing the pads of his fingers against your side. Instantly, he wanted to take it back. The man hadn’t mean to sound scary, as if he could really do anything if you decided to leave.
You smiled, tilting his chin up until your lips were nearly inches away. “I’ll never let you go either.”
The man stilled against you. Looking down, he stopped treading. Somehow you were both above water many depths taller than him.
You flashed him a cocky smile. Droplets of water danced around you, eyes glistening with moonlight.
“If you could make us float all this time…” he started.
“I like swimming.”
“Oh really?” He said, lips upturned. “Because to me, you’ve been in my arms all night.”
“And who’s fault is that?”
Opposites. He was fire and you were water. Yet, you were both similar, both casted out and left to burn and drown. Both were hell. Maybe you both didn’t deserve it at some point.
“I know you think you don’t deserve me, that I deserve better or some shit,” you said, looking him in the eyes. “But I want you to forget about that all, okay? Forget deserve. Who cares? You want me, and I want you. I’m a grown adult, I can make my own decisions.”
He chuckled weakly. “You sure make some pretty bad ones.”
“You act like I’m some Angel.”
“But you are,” he said against your skin, planting a kiss at your neck that made you shiver more than the cool, night air breezing past.
What else could bring him back to life? Hatred had rose him from the ashes, only to live another life of burn and misery. A living hell. Something completely opposite brought him back a second time. Dabi tasted heaven every time your lips met. Your scent clouded his senses.
“I love you,” he said, so easily and simply it scared him. Just turning away had the power to destroy him.
“I love you too.”
Only an angel could ever love a villain like him. Could look past the sins he cremated. Love was what revived him, his second lifeline after the first with no strings attached. It was too good to be true… which was why you weren’t an angle, he’d never be forgiven, he’d never be redeemed. You were both just crazy, laughing under the moonlight in far-off lake.
Dabi didn’t believe everyone deserves love, and it’s completely fucked that an arsonist and a murder gets to be loved. He was a villain and he was going to do what villains do best.
He was just gonna take it.

You saw her once you walked in. Your family always sat close together, usually behind them, considering her mom was really close to yours. But today was different.
You guys decided to sit with them.
Wilma smiled as you followed your family to where the Gold’s were sitting, standing up so your parents and siblings could scoot down to her parents and sat back down once you were the last one to pass. Wil gave you a smile as you sat down next to her, pinky automatically linking with yours.
Turning your head, her smile igniting your own, as you fully slipped your hand into hers. Your mom once asked you why you always held hands with Wilma, getting suspicious on why you both were so close.
“Mom. We grew up with each other, we’re best friends, can’t friends hold hands? Diane said you guys used to all the time…”
“Touché”
After that she didn’t say anything but you knew she had some suspicions, you just had to steer her away from them. You hated lying to her but if it was the only way to protect yourself and your relationship with Wilma, you’d take what you can get.
“Good morning love.” Wilma whispered to you as you grabbed the book and flipped to the page the first song was on.
“Good morning.” You said softly as the organ started playing and everyone stood.
The whole time Wilma was either shoulder to shoulder with you while you stood, or she was holding your hand while you sat. She just wanted you close, as you did her.
After church was over, your family stayed back until all the rush to get out and go to brunch was over as you all walked outside.
“Hey, darling. Wanna hang out? Get lunch, go shopping, anything before I have my game this evening? Don’t ask why it’s in a Sunday, i’d really like to know as well…”
“Can I come with?!” Wil asked as he over heard Wilma’s ask.
You laughed as Wilma scoffed and agreed to dragging him along. You looked at your mom, who was currently laughing at something Diane said. You wanted to go, you really did, but was it worth the lie?
One glance at Wilm was all you needed to determine your decision.
“Ok, give me a minute and see what mother says…” Wilma and Wil both laughed at the name as you walked over to the adults. You rubbed your hands on your dress as your anxiety started rise up. You didn’t like the thought of your mom asking you so many questions to the point you’d break and reveal everything. You didn’t want her to find out and ruin this. It was the best thing you had so far. “Hey mom? Dad? Can I go out with Wilma and Wil? They want to hang out before Wilma’s game. And can I also go to that as well?” You asked hesitantly, playing with your hands as your nervousness showed.
Mark and Diane both smiled at you as your mom looked at your dad for an opinion, yet he didn’t have one, shrugging and pointing at your mom. She sighed and looked at you, “What will you be doing? Better be nothing bad, especially since it’s Sunday and you should be at home reading the Bible with us-“
“Hey, Kathy. She’ll be ok, I promise. I bet they’re only going out to breakfast and coming back to our house! I’ll bring her home after the game safely. I promise.”
“Also what would it hurt for her to miss just one Sunday of reading the Bible…” Mark finished off as he wrapped his arm around Diane and smiled at you. You smiled back at both of them with so much thanks and love for them. They were more of parents to you the your actual parents were.
Your mom sighed as she nodded. “Ok fine, yes! Be safe, and Wilma! Don’t kill my daughter!”
“Won’t even think about it!” Wilma yelled back as she smiled at you. “You comin’?” Wilma yelled at you as she tossed her keys in her hand while Wilbur ran to the truck.
Your smile was as wide as ever as you hugged your mom and your second parents, thanking all of them as you ran over to Wilma, you grabbing her hand and pulling her with you.
“Don’t you think it’s slightly weird how they always hold hands?” You heard your mom ask.
“Kathy, we used to do that all the time, plus they’re practically family.”
Family. The word was deeper than your mom could realize. Mark always told you how Wilma seemed lighter and more involved with things besides softball ever since you both became close and started dating. Diane also said how happy Wilma looked too, more than she’s seen in a long while. She always wanted you to her part of her family, whether that was marrying one of her kids or her adopting you, she would take anything. And she certainly got something. Wilbur also made fun of you two, always saying how gross you guys are, but he silently appreciated the relationship. Seeing his sister and best friend happy was more than enough.
“Baby? You ok? I lost you for a second.” Wilma pulls you to her gently as you slow down and look up at her.
“I’m good, but the sound of me being part of the family has a nice tone to it…”
Wilma slowly smiled as she scoffed and wrapped an arm around your shoulder, bringing you into her chest as she walked. “So you do want to get married?”
“Who said anything about marriage….” Wilma looked down at you with wide eyes and anxiety lacing her pupils. “I’m joking, yes of course I do!”
“Thank fuck… my plans would be ruined….”
“What?! Plans? WILMA-“ Wilma pulled away as she started sprinting to the car, you close behind, silently thanking yourself for wearing sneakers with your dress this morning.
Meeting her by the drivers seat, both of you panting as Wilma looked down at you with fond eyes. “Have I told you how pretty you look today, especially in that dress?”
“Thank you my love, but we’re not done with that conversation-“
“Yes ma’am!” Wilma said as she held up her hands defensively as you pointed at her. Both of you laughed as she opened the driver side door, to find Wilbur in the middle seat on his phone. “Hey! Idiot! Scoot over, that seats for her.”
“Pleaseeeee I love the middle seat!”
“No! Now scoot, unless you want me and y/n to hold hands across you and-“
“Ok! Ok fine! There… happy?” Wil asked as he patted the seat for you resting his arm on the head of the seats. Wilma’s truck was an older one, where there was only one row of seats and that was the three in the front, all connected. But you all cherished and loved the old rusty thing a lot.
“Very.” You said as you climbed in, Wilma standing behind you, blocking anyone’s eyes to from seeing anything and to also get in the car herself.
Getting settled in, Wilma took the aux out of Wil’s hands and gave it to you. “She’s the guest, she picks the music.”
“Baby you forget we all share a driving playlist..” you said as you pressed play on the shared playlist, Oklahoma Smokeshow by Zach Bryan coming through the speakers.
Wilma smiled at you as she placed her right hand above your knee, your hand coming and connecting with hers. “I know but I want my girl to pick the music she wants too.”
“And this is the perfect music for me.” You smiled back at her as she leaned down and kissed you gently, both of your smiles interfering as you did. Your free hand reached up and cupped her cheek, rubbing the bone that sat so prominently on her face. You both stayed put, lips not touching but close enough to look like they were, and smiles as bright as the sun.
“…. Did you forget about me?”
“Wilbur I swear to god!” Wilma groaned as her brother as she pulled away and looked at him with anger filled eyes.
Laughing, you rubbed her cheek once more before letting go of her face and squeezing her right hand in yours. “Ok, let’s get some food yeah? I’m starving. Plus he just has to be grateful it didn’t get any worse-“
“Ok! Breakfast yeah? Where are we thinking?! Cracker Barrel, Bob Evan’s-“
You weren’t paying attention to the male as the song continued to play and ring out as the ending played and Wilma’s singing filled your thoughts.

New #Britin fic in my Diabetes Universe: I know you’ll be a beautiful surprise (Reposted with Edits)
So, recently I added a fic to my Britin Diabetes universe on AO3 in which a middle-aged Brian and Justin discuss the idea of having kids together. I thought that was the end of it for me and my creative brain. But, then a few days ago an idea entered my head and I was compelled to write it up. 9.2k words later I'm convinced this might be a cool idea to expand into a full multi-chapter fic idea for the universe. As of right now I only plan to post it here.
The premise is this: It's March 2018. Gus is a freshman in college and still living at home with Brian and Justin. It's been almost a year since they discussed the idea of kids. Then, Justin starts feeling sick and Daphne jokingly asks him if he could be pregnant. Which leads Justin to take a test. That is where we find ourselves at the start of this.
BE WARNED THIS FIC IDEA IS MPREG. (Don't worry about the explanation of how it's possible just believe it lol)
This isn’t a trope I write for so any feedback would be great!
Chapter 1.
Justin stared at the test in his hand. On the display screen were two distinct lines.
Fuck.
Justin rubbed his hand across his mouth. He had taken the test after Daphne had joked that he could be pregnant. They’d been hanging out the day before on their mutual lunch break when Justin had suddenly vomited. He figured he was just catching something from one of his students. Daphne, the doctor that she is, asked him if he was pregnant with laughter in her eyes.
Sure, male pregnancy was a thing, but he and Brian always used condoms. He guessed a condom must’ve broken in the last few months. But, he didn’t recall Brian mentioning it. He had no idea what they were going to do. It wasn’t as if they had wanted this. In fact, just last year they’d had the conversation about kids and decided it wasn’t something in the cards.
Gus was a freshman in college, Brian had been struggling to keep his blood sugars steady for months now resulting in a few ER visits, and Justin had just switched from teaching high school art to elementary school art. In short, it was not a good time for an upheaval such as this.
Fuck.
Justin slipped the test into a wad of tissues and walked it from the bathroom to their bedroom. He opened the drawer of the end table on his side of the bed. Justin glanced at the test once again before shoving it inside and shutting the drawer. One glance at the clock told him it was almost 6 pm. He needed to get dinner started.
Justin was standing in their kitchen, his thoughts on the test hidden in their bedroom, while he chopped up veggies for a salad. The lasagna he’d pre-made over the weekend was in the oven heating. His phone rang pulling him out of his thoughts.
“Hey, Gus. What’s up?” Justin wiped his hands as he cradled the cellphone between his ear and his shoulder.
“Hey, I am going out with some friends tonight and then I plan on crashing at Isaac’s dorm.” The teen practically yelled, loud noise in his background making it hard to hear.
“Alright, I’ll let your dad know you won’t be home. Have fun. Be safe.” Justin hung up.
He stared at his phone again, contemplating his next move. He should probably get an official test done before telling Brian, just to be sure. With that he dialed his best friend.
“Hey, Daph.” Justin bit his lip.
“Wow. Twice in as many days. What’s wrong?” Daph laughed.
“I took a test.” Justin muttered, pausing to gain the courage for what came next, “I’m pregnant.”
“Holy Shit! Are you sure? Have you told Brian?” Daphne asked her questions calmly despite her obvious surprise.
“Not yet. I was wondering if I came by the ER tomorrow during your shift if you’d run a blood test so I can be sure. I don’t wanna freak him out too if it’s not real.” Justin ran a hand through his blond hair.
“Of course. I could also get the lab to rush it so you’d know by the end of the day if you come in before you go to work.” Daphne reassured him.
“What if it’s also positive?” Justin was back to being worried.
“Then you and Brian will have a decision to make. Justin, you're only 35. It's not as though it’s physically dangerous. And you and Brian are financially stable. It will all work out.” Daphne answered him. She always knew how to keep Justin from spiraling.
He heard the key turning in their lock. Brian was home. Justin needed to pull himself together so Brian wouldn’t suspect anything.
“Thanks, Daph. I’ll see you tomorrow.” Justin replied and hung up just as Brian’s arms wrapped around Justin’s shoulders from behind.
“Hello, honey.” Brian teased as he nipped at Justin’s ear before kissing his neck.
“How was your day?” The older man added, pulling away from physical touch.
“Fine. The kids wore me out though. I’m exhausted.” Justin rubbed his face as if to prove a point. Then he pulled the lasagna out of the oven.
Just then, the smell of bubbling cheese hit his nose and he felt nauseous. He tried to hide it by breathing through his mouth and drinking some water, but Brian was watching him closely.
“Still feeling under the weather? I told you to stay home today and sleep it off.” Brian braced his arms around Justin, locking him in against the counter next to the oven.
“I’m fine, Bri. Nothing a good night of sleep won’t solve.” Justin smiled despite the rolling feeling in his gut, and kissed his partner on his cheek.
“Well why don’t you rest. You don’t need to stay up on my account.” Brian reached up and cupped the back of Justin’s head.
Justin decided to take Brian’s gentle out and headed to bed. He nodded against Brian’s cheek as they embraced.
“I’ll drink some ginger ale and sleep.” Justin could feel his bone deep exhaustion more acutely now that Brian gave him the permission to.
Then, just as he reached their bedroom door he remembered Gus’ call.
“Oh and Gus called. He said he’s crashing at Isaac’s dorm tonight.” Justin yelled over his shoulder. Brian didn’t respond, but he knew the man had heard.
Hours later Justin realized he must’ve fallen asleep when Brian getting into bed brought him back to consciousness. The brunet apologized, placing a hand on Justin’s back as the blond drifted back to sleep.
—————
“Alright, I will get this over to the lab and call you when I have the results.” Daphne pulled off her gloves and put the vial of blood into a canister to take it to the lab once she’s done talking to Justin.
“Do results usually take a long time?” Justin was so nervous to know the answer. “I don’t end up in the hospital very often so I’m not sure how all this works.”
“After years of dealing with Brian’s diabetes I would’ve thought blood work would be old hat for you.” Daphne smiled and rubbed Justin’s shoulders, “Usually blood work takes a few hours when sent from the ER, but since you didn’t officially register as a patient it will be run at the typical speed.”
Justin nodded, staring at his hands. Daphne stepped closer and placed her hand on his shoulder.
“Justin, are you okay?”
Justin looked up and took a deep breath. “I just worry this will ruin things with Brian or he’ll be angry.”
“When was the last time Brian got angry instead of talking things out?” Daphne gave the blond a knowing look. “Sure, when we were young and you guys were first starting out he wasn’t likely to communicate, but he changed all that years ago.”
“I know.” Justin bit his bottom lip and shrugged, “But we also had a discussion about a kid of our own when Gus was about to graduate high school. So, not even a year ago.”
“And? How did that conversation go?” Daphne sat down in the chair next to Justin.
“We agreed we didn’t need a child. We had Gus and Isaac.” Justin shrugged. At this point he was nearly in tears and trying to hide it.
“Doesn’t sound to me like he’s fully opposed.” Daphne shrugged and pulled Justin to his feet as she stood up.
“He’s not officially for it either. You remember how he was when Gus was a baby. Brian doesn’t do well with small children.” Justin grabbed his coat and put it back on, “Anyway, I gotta get to work. Thanks, Daph.”
“Jus, this isn’t the end of the world.” Daphne tried to reassure him.
“So you say.” Justin mumbled on his way out.
For the rest of the day, Justin volleyed between being stressed about the results of the blood test and worrying that the relationship he’d spent half his life in was coming to an end. He was in his final plan period of the day when Daphne called him.
“Hey, please tell me I’m worried for nothing and that I’m not pregnant.” Justin answered the phone without any preamble.
“Let’s talk about this in person. I’m almost at your school. Meet me outside and I will buy us some coffee and we can talk.” Daphne responded. “See you in about 5.”
Justin walked out of the school after informing the principal he was leaving a bit early. Daphne was waiting for him on the sidewalk. She was wearing a purple peacoat and matching hat, scarf, and gloves. Justin rubbed his hands together regretting that he’d accidentally left his gloves in his classroom in his rush to leave. Daphne immediately wrapped him up in a hug.
“Here.” She handed him a computer printout of his test results.
Justin’s eyes scanned the page until he found the word, “Positive” toward the bottom.
“Shit.” Justin crumpled the page up in his fist as he stared, stricken at Daphne. “What am I going to do?”
“First, you are going to walk with me to the bodega we both love, grab a coffee and a pastry. Then, we are going to talk about this until you feel comfortable to face Brian.” Daphne wrapped her arm around Justin’s and led him up the block.
“What would I do without you?” Justin breathed a sigh of relief. Caffeine and carb loading sounded like the perfect antidote to his current anxiety.
“You would’ve had multiple mental breakdowns at this point.” Daphne giggled then laid her head down on Justin’s shoulder.
Half an hour later, Justin and Daphne had their hands full with pastries and coffee. Daphne was unlocking the door to her apartment and leading her best friend inside. After ordering, they had both decided it was much too cold for them to eat in the park. So, Daphne told him they could go to her apartment. Her husband and two kids weren’t home so it would be just them.
Once they were settled on the couch, Daphne spoke first. “Just think. If you go through with this Leo will get to grow up with a best friend.”
“Daph.” Justin gave her a warning look.
“Right, I promised I wouldn’t try to sway your decision.” Daphne put up her hands in defense. “I still think this isn’t the end of the world. How many times over the years have you mentioned kids to me?”
“Alright, so I’ve always loved kids. It’s part of the reason I took up teaching. But, Daph, Brian and I have a life we love and a baby doesn’t fit into that.” Justin looked panicked, he was sure of it considering how panicked he felt.
“Maybe, but you guys have Gus.” Daphne tried to point out, always the voice of reason.
“Taking care of a teenager is not the same thing as a baby and you know it. We didn’t have to adjust much when Gus moved in because he was already independently taking care of himself. He just needed guidance.” Justin leaned back against the couch cushions and closed his eyes. His stomach was aching like it wanted to turn itself inside out.
“You’re right. 14 is different from a newborn. However, do you think Derek and I were ready for a baby when we got pregnant with Ella? We’d been married for 5 years at that point. We had an established routine and we had to adjust. You and Brian will too.”
“Brian’s been struggling with his health for the past 6 months. We haven’t really told anyone because he doesn’t want people hovering, but I’m not sure now is the time to be making major adjustments.” Justin sighed. If he was being completely honest with himself this fact was holding him back the most from accepting this pregnancy as a good thing.
“Has it been serious?” Daphne leaned over and grabbed Justin’s hand to hold it.
“We’ve ended up in the ER a few times for both low and high blood glucose levels. What has been working for him for years is no longer a safe option.” Justin used his other hand to pick at the stitching of the couch cushion. “He’s been struggling with more migraines and Diabetic neuropathy.”
Daphne was quiet for a moment and so Justin took a deep breath to calm himself. There was just too much happening to him all at once and he wasn’t handling it well. Normally he’d be all for talking it through with Brian, but this time he hesitated because bringing it into the open with his partner made all of it more real.
“All the more reason for you to discuss it with him. Brian’s always been able to dictate what he can and can’t handle. Don’t take this decision away from him because you’re afraid.” Daphne gave Justin a knowing look.
“I’ll consider it.” Justin curled on himself, bringing his knees up to his chest. It wasn’t as easy a position as it had been when he was younger, but he was still nimble enough to do it for a short period.
“Wanna watch some cartoons?” Daphne gently shoved his shoulder. Justin nodded.
The two friends settled into comfortable silence while watching reruns of the cartoons they lived to consume when they were kids. Before he knew it, Justin had dozed off on Daphne’s shoulder only to be shaken awake by his best friend when her husband and kids made it home.
“Uncle Justin!” Ella screamed as she ran across the room and launched her little body into his arms.
“Oof. You have grown a whole foot since the last time I saw you!” Justin laughed, squeezing his goddaughter close to his chest.
“What do you mean? I only have 2 feet. Same as always.” The five-year-old looked down at her legs just to be sure.
Justin laughed, “I meant you’ve gotten taller, little munchkin.” Then he tickled the little girl as Daphne grabbed her one-year-old from her husband’s arms.
“You staying for dinner, Justin?” Derek asked as he pulled a rotisserie chicken out of a grocery bag along with the makings of a salad and a to-go container of macaroni and cheese from the deli down the block.
Justin put Ella back down and reached for his coat. “No, I should go home. Brian’s probably wondering where I am.”
“Tell him.” Daphne squeezed his arm as he passed by her. “Please.”
Justin leaned over and placed a kiss on her cheek. “I will.”
But, instead of going straight home, Justin paid a cab to drive him around Queens for a bit before heading over to their brownstone. He still wasn’t sure what he wanted to do about the wadded up test result in his coat pocket. An hour passed between him leaving Daphne’s and arriving back at the home he shared with Brian. He knew for a fact Brian would be wondering where he was, if not already calling local friends to find him.
Just as he was coming to the front door, Gus approached from down the street. Fuck. Justin hadn’t factored in Gus being home. The teen had a backpack slung over one shoulder and a red tint to his cheeks as the wind blew his brunet hair around his face.
“Hey, Jus. Just getting home? Isn’t it a bit late for you?” The teen smirked, morphing his face into an exact replica of a younger Brian.
“Not that it's any of your business but I spent some time with Daphne and her family this afternoon.” Justin unlocked the door and held it open for his stepson.
“Hey, Dad! Justin and I are home.” Gus hollered the moment they were both in the foyer.
Brian came from the direction of the kitchen, his face morphing from concern to relief. He immediately wrapped Justin up in a hug, ignoring Gus. He kissed the side of Justin’s head and breathed him in.
“I was so worried something happened to you. When I got home and you weren’t here I called Daphne to see if you were with her. She then told me that you had just left. So, I assumed you’d be home ages ago.”
From over Brian’s shoulder Justin saw Gus roll his eyes. Then the teen trudged toward his bedroom and closed the door with a loud thump.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to worry you. I needed some time to think so I had a cab drive me around Queens before dropping me off here.” Justin pulled out of Brian’s arms and shrugged off his coat. He made sure to grab the crumpled up paper from his pocket.
Staring down at it, Justin let out his breath and forced himself to take another deep one to replace the air in his lungs.
“Good to know my money is being put to good use.” Brian teased, but there was still a hint of concern lacing every word. “So, what did you need to think about?”
Justin closed his eyes, took another deep breath, unfolded the paper and handed it to Brian. “This.”
Then he walked toward the kitchen, not waiting around for Brian’s reaction. He was terrified of what that one little word was going to do to the world they had built together. From an honest standpoint, Justin would never be upset about having a child, but he knew Brian was much more complicated. Justin had just poured himself a glass of orange juice when Brian joined him in the kitchen. His face was completely unreadable, not calming Justin’s nerves in the slightest.
“Is this why you’ve been distant this week?” Brian reached out to place his hand on Justin’s arm, getting the blond to look him in the eye.
“At first it was because I really did think I was sick. But then…” Justin stopped trying to catch his breath as tears spilled from his eyes. “Brian, I’m sorry.”
A moment later, his partner’s arms were wrapped around Justin, pushing him against Brian’s chest. Brian’s hand went up to cup the back of Justin’s head. He kissed him on his temple.
“Justin.” Brian whispered, pulling back a bit, “Justin, please look at me.”
Justin wiped his eyes, “I know this isn’t exactly something we are prepared for. It’s not like we wanted this to happen. I mean our lives are not equipped for a baby. I’m 35. You’re 47. We can’t do this.” Justin started to hyperventilate.
Brian rubbed his shoulders as Justin tried to gain control on his breathing again. “You done?”
Justin nodded.
“This is unexpected and that can be unnerving. And you’re right, our lives are not currently equipped for a baby. But, we can adjust. If that’s what you want.” Brian continued to rub Justin’s shoulders as he fell silent once more.
“What about you? I’m not the only one in this situation, Brian. You’ve never wanted kids.” Justin sniffed, a few more tears falling down his cheeks.
“Do you remember what I said when we talked about this a few months ago?” Brian moved a hand to Justin’s cheek and cupped it. “I said if that was something you wanted we would make it work. I don’t ever do or say anything I don’t mean.”
“Do we really want to even consider this? It’s a huge change?” Justin bit his lip. He looked into Brian’s eyes and only found gentleness there.
“Ignoring everything going on in our lives right now, what is your gut reaction to this news?” Brian dropped all physical contact with Justin and stepped back. It was as if he was giving Justin the space to independently assess his feelings.
Given the time and space to search his heart for his real feelings about it, Justin found the answer right away. His hands gravitated to his abdomen and he imagined eventually feeling the baby move inside him. He smiled despite himself.
He stepped up to Brian, who was now leaning against the counter. Placing his hands on either side of Brian, boxing him in he stared up into the older man’s eyes.
“I love you. I have loved you since I was 17. The idea of having a child that is a part of both of us is beautiful.” Justin leaned forward and kissed Brian, who closed his eyes and moved his lips against Justin’s.
“Does this make us heterosexuals?” Brian finally spoke, his joke indicating he wanted this as much as Justin did.
Justin backed away completely and laughed out loud. The stress of the last few days disappeared entirely. He was going to have a baby. Holy shit.
“What are we going to tell Gus? The family?” Justin finally responded.
“That is up to you.” Brian shrugged. “Let’s eat some dinner and worry about the rest later.”
Justin smiled and nodded his head. Brian rarely cooked, stating he didn’t prefer it. So, naturally, Justin was shocked to find that while he had delayed coming home, Brian had taken the time to cook up a chicken and potato dish. Justin was grateful his stomach decided to stay calm for this. Now that he knew for sure he was pregnant, Justin wasn’t looking forward to dealing with nausea for the next few months.
“You know my mom is going to flip out. She’s always wanted us to have a kid together.” Justin commented as he and Brian dug into their meal.
Brian smirked. “Well, she can save it for when it’s just the two of you.”
“You love when she showers you with mom love, don’t deny it.” Justin chuckled at him. Then, remembering that they had a teen in the house he hollered, “Gus? Are you joining us for dinner?”
After a few minutes of silence, Gus opened his door and stuck his head out. “Nah. I grabbed pizza with Isaac while we were studying for tomorrow’s chemistry exam.” Then without another word he closed his door once more.
“I swear your son never eats dinner with us anymore.” Justin pointed his fork at Brian accusingly.
“I love how he’s my son when it’s about something he’s not doing.” Brian chuckled and then with a cheeky grin added, “I’m going to do the same when this kid gets a little older, see how it makes you feel.”
A few hours later, Justin was sitting up in bed, scrolling through various websites on his phone. He was nervous about what pregnancy meant for his body. Now that he knew Brian was okay with the turn of events, Justin had found his anxiety switching to the physicality of being pregnant. Brian came into their bedroom from the bathroom, having just finished his nighttime routine.
“So, I’ve been thinking.” Justin started, placing his phone screen down on his chest, giving Brian his full attention.
Brian pulled back the blankets on his side of the bed and climbed in next to Justin before replying. “I’d say that’s a dangerous sign, but really you thinking is never a bad thing.”
“I’m trying to pinpoint when this could’ve happened. We always wear condoms and you tell me if one breaks because we get tested for HIV right after.” Justin assessed Brian trying to read his face.
The older man pinched his eyelids and sighed, “I was thinking about this while I was in the bathroom. The only thing I can think about was when we got trashed on New Year’s Eve at Daphne’s party. You and I don’t drink that much anymore and we kind of went overboard, who’s to say we didn’t make mistakes that night.”
“We also smoked a joint together when we got home that night.” Justin reminded Brian. “Yeah, I’m thinking this was a New Year’s misstep.”
“Which means you are probably almost two months. Shit.” Brian rubbed his temple again, signaling he was suffering from a headache.
“I will talk to Daphne tomorrow about finding a proper doctor to find out for sure.” Justin put his phone on the charger and turned off his lamp, cloaking them both in darkness. The two men end up in each other’s arms.
“I love you. We will get through this.” Brian muttered against Justin’s head before giving him a kiss.
—----
The morning of their first appointment with Dr. Savarese dawned bright and warm despite the layers of snow still on the ground from last week’s snow storm. It had been a few days since Justin officially confirmed that he was indeed pregnant at 35. Their appointment was at 4 pm, in the hopes that Brian would be able to pull away from work more swiftly than if it were in the morning or middle of the day.
Justin was nervous that there would be something wrong or worse all this had been a lie and they’d find out he wasn’t pregnant at all. Since telling Brian, he’d allowed himself to think about their future as dads to a new baby. It had been both nerve wracking and exciting, mostly exciting if Justin was being honest with himself.
“Morning, Sunshine.” Brian muttered, rolling over to place a kiss on Justin’s cheek before he got up and headed to the bathroom.
Justin smiled to himself and placed his hands on his abdomen. Today was the day they would see their baby. He heard Brian turn on the shower and knew he needed to get up soon. They usually showered together to save time on getting ready in the morning. But, also because it allowed their world to be a small bubble of just them for a little bit longer. Once they were showered, the responsibilities of parenting Gus and getting to work came crashing in and making their world a little bit louder.
“Are you sure you’re okay with this?” Justin asked Brian nervously as he washed the older man’s chest.
“Justin. While kids were never my top priority in life, I don’t hate them. Besides, the idea of a little you running around sounds kind of nice. I always regretted not being around more for Gus when he was developing into the kid he was by the time I stepped up.” Brian smiled at Justin and nonverbally prompted him until Justin smiled back.
“You’re a great dad to Gus. Don’t ever question that. You’ll be an even better dad to this one.” Justin searched Brian’s face for a reaction.
“Okay, I’ll bite. Why?” Brian’s eyes were alight with mischief.
“Because when Gus was born you were bound and determined to never let another heart touch yours. You had these steel paneled walls up around you that kept even your closest friends at a distance. But, now, you are open and loving and communicative. You’re already more involved in this surprise baby than I ever saw you in the first two years of Gus being in this world. Just ask Lindsay and I bet she’d say the same.” Justin replied, playing with Brian’s ear.
Moments later, they were both dressed and ready for work enjoying some eggs and toast while standing in the kitchen. Pretty soon, Gus joined them, talking on his phone.
“Don’t worry mom. I’m getting enough sleep, enough food, and I’m focusing on my classwork.” Gus sighed and rolled his eyes at Justin who smirked.
Then, suddenly, Gus’ phone was extended between Brian and Justin.
“Mom wants to talk to you.” Gus directed at Brian. “She’s convinced you’re letting me live a life of debauchery.”
Justin choked on the juice he just swallowed and had to turn around to the sink as he laughed and coughed in equal measure.
“My goodness, Wendy. Are you trying to take away everything I hold dear in my life?” Brian took the phone from Gus and spoke into it after placing it on speaker.
“What?” Lindsay’s voice sounded utterly confused.
“Dad’s only saying that because Justin choked on his drink when I said you think I’m living a life similar to the one he was living when I was born.” Gus laughed and reached over to pat Justin on the shoulder now that he’d returned to his spot next to Brian.
“I did not say that! Gus, I swear to God.” Lindsay huffed. “Justin, are you okay? I’m sorry my kid is a carbon copy of his father.”
“He’s fine, Wendy.” Brian said as Justin turned back to the sink once more to vomit around another cough. “Now, what do you need to speak with me about? I need to get to work and the lad needs to get to school.”
“I just wanted to be reassured that Gus is in fact going to school and doing his best. I worry about him.” Lindsay’s voice was laced with a level of concern that only a long distance parent could have.
“Linds, don’t worry. Even if we wanted to, Gus could never be convinced to skip school. He’s as big a geek as Bri and I were in school.” Justin returned and reassured Lindsay.
“Okay, if you are sure.”
“We are.” Brian cut in, somewhat exasperated. “I swear it’s as if you don’t trust me to monitor my own kid.”
“I do. I just worry. Like always.” Lindsay muttered. Even though they couldn’t see her, Justin knew from experience Lindsay would have a pinched look on her face as she tried to work through her mom guilt.
“Oh, Linds. Speaking of Brian’s parenting.” Justin added, as Brian tried to physically shut him up. But, Justin persisted and wrestled the phone into his hands. “Do you think Brian would be a better parent today if we were to adopt a baby tomorrow?”
“Are you guys thinking about adopting?!” Lindsay screeched.
“No! We were just having a hypothetical conversation this morning and Brian doesn’t think he’d be much different as a dad than he was 18 years ago. So, I told him he should ask you because you aren’t biased by being with him and you’d know.” Justin was quick to shut down any rumors Lindsay might want to spread. They didn’t want people to know yet.
“Shit!” Lindsay exclaimed through the speaker. “Sorry, I gotta go. J.R. just threw up everywhere.”
“Why are you two being weird?” Gus asked his dads after he took his phone back and watched them silently for a moment.
“What? We aren’t being weird.” Justin squeaked. Brian just shook his head and smirked.
“That’ll convince the CIA.”
“What is really going on? Are you guys adopting? It’s definitely strange you bring up kids now after all these years.” Gus shrugged with a knowing look on his face. “Don’t tell me. I’m sure I’ll figure it out on my own soon enough.”
“Have a great day, Sonny Boy.” Brian replied, subtly rushing Gus out the door. “You will probably beat us home tonight. So, just get whatever you want for dinner.”
Once Gus was gone, Justin turned around and gagged into the sink once more. This time nothing came up. Brian rubbed his back, roaming his hand up and down.
“Sorry. The juice must not have agreed with me. Shit that acid coming back up really sucks.” Justin stood up and wiped at his mouth. “We should tell Gus sooner rather than later. He’s right, he’ll figure it out on his own.”
Brian held the back of Justin’s head, running his fingers through the blond hairs.
“Yeah we should. I’ll see you at the appointment. Have a good day.” Then Brian kissed Justin on the lips and was gone, off to work.
—---
Of course, Justin arrived at the appointment only to receive a text from Brian informing him that he’d be a bit late and to not wait on him. Justin was already back to being nervous about everything so finding out his partner wasn’t going to be there on time wasn’t helping him. Justin’s name was called a few minutes after he handed the receptionist back his medical history questionnaire.
“Justin Taylor?” A young woman wearing scrubs with flowers all over it called from across the waiting area. She had a short bob haircut that framed her face and made her look like a pixie.
“Yeah.” Justin stood up and walked toward her. “My partner is running late, could you let him in when he gets here?”
The nurse nodded and leaned over to mention it to the receptionist. Afterward she led Justin beyond the doors toward the doctor exam rooms in the back. They stopped at a scale where Justin’s weight was recorded. He was shocked to find he’d gained 5 lbs since the last time he’d had his weight recorded six months ago. Justin didn’t really ever fluctuate on his weight so even a small amount such as that further proved he was pregnant.
Once they made it to the exam room, Justin sat down on the table as the nurse pulled out the blood pressure cuff. He was used to all after years of follow up neurological appointments thanks to his persisting TBI. Speaking of which, as she tightened the cuff on his arm it triggered the spasm in his hand and Justin grunted from the sharp pain of it. Just as she was loosening things and recording his BP, Brian came rushing in.
The moment he sat in a chair next to the table he clocked Justin’s spasm and reached for his hand to massage it. Justin crossed his arm across his chest to give Brian better access. The nurse finally noticed his hand and looked terrified.
“Oh my goodness. Did I do that?” She pointed at Justin’s hand, her eyes overly apologetic.
“Sorry, I wasn’t thinking. I usually stop you guys at the head and instruct you to check things on my left arm instead. I have a TBI that permanently affects the function of my right arm.” Justin gave her his prize winning smile and she relaxed.
“I should’ve asked if you had a preference. I apologize.”
“Seriously, no sweat. This happens at least once a day without a blood pressure cuff.” Justin shrugged and chuckled.
“Everything else seems to be in order. Dr. Savarese will be in to talk with you shortly.” She then exited the room, closing the door, and leaving Brian and Justin alone.
“Sorry for being late.” Brian muttered as he continued to massage Justin’s hand.
“It helps that they were delayed pulling me back here too. I hadn’t been in here with Nurse Ratchett more than ten minutes before you came in.” Justin smirked at his joke.
“Unfortunately, I was late because there is a small Kinnetik fire that I will have to travel to Pittsburgh tomorrow and put out.” Brian sighed. Justin’s fingers flattened out and so the older man dropped the contact.
Justin didn’t mind, it was uncomfortable to keep his arm crossed over his chest for an extended period of time anyway. He fell silent. Brian went back to Pittsburgh all the time for work, but this time his chest hurt at the thought of Brian being gone for a few days. He couldn’t understand why he was reacting similarly to how he had when Brian left him alone right after his bashing.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” Brian gently nudged his shoulder, but Justin gave him a small smile and shook his head as the door opened to reveal Dr. Savarese.
“Hello, Justin. I’m Dr. Savarese. I see here you believe you’re pregnant.” Dr. Savarese read from his file before looking up and giving him a smile.
They shook hands and then Dr. Savarese took a seat at the desk.
“My best friend is an ER doctor. She took my blood for some blood work a few days ago and it came back positive for pregnancy.” Justin brought his hands together in his lap and fiddled with his fingers.
“Have you been experiencing any symptoms?” Dr. Savarese looked at Justin. The man was older than even Brian and on the petite side. His eyes were dark brown but filled with warmth.
“I have vomited a few times a day. A few more than that if I find a smell my body can’t handle.” Justin shrugged as Brian smirked.
“Like the orange juice this morning.” Brian commented.
Justin shuddered at the memory of the acidic beverage coming back up. “Plus, I’ve been extremely exhausted.”
Brian didn’t flinch hearing that. Justin had been hiding it extremely well, but he knew that Brian had probably still noticed he wasn’t as energetic as usual.
“Have you noticed a change in your emotional reaction to things?” Dr. Savarese took some notes on his tablet.
“Not particularly.” Justin muttered, turning to look at Brian. The older man shrugged.
“I haven’t noticed anything major.”
“Before we do an ultrasound to attempt to see what’s going on I’d like to go over your medical history.” At the doctor’s words, Justin reached for Brian’s hand.
“You want his book of allergies now or later?” Brian attempted to joke.
Brian, please take this seriously.” Justin sighed, his anxiety was ramped up and he couldn’t pinpoint why. “They have all that in my patient file because of the forms I had to fill out as a new patient.”
“Yes, it seems you are allergic to quite a few medications, Mr. Taylor. It also says here that you are on an anticonvulsant?”
“Umm. Yeah, I was injured when I was 18 by a bat to my head. I still get minor seizures to my hand. I take the medication to prevent more significant problems.” Justin bit his lip.
“Have you ever had a major seizure?” Dr. Savarese’s face turned pinched and concerned. “I ask because if you are pregnant anticonvulsants can cause problems with the baby. We’ll want to assess the risk of taking you off them for the duration.”
“He had a significant seizure right after his injury occurred and then once more a few years later when he had an extremely high fever due to the flu. That was when he started the medication just to be safe.” Brian supplied as Justin struggled to find his voice.
Just then, Justin’s hand spasmed up again. This time the pain was so sharp Justin had to cradle his hand against his chest. Brian stood up and moved in place against Justin so he could lean on him while Brian massaged his hand again.
“Does that happen often?” Dr. Savarese pointed to Justin’s hand.
“Only when he’s using his hand too much or gets stressed. This is the second one in the past half-hour because the nurse wasn’t aware and checked his blood pressure on this arm.” Brian supplied and Justin breathed through the pain.
“Alright, I would like to confer with your neurologist after we are finished here today.” Dr. Savarese gave Justin a half-smile and turned back to his tablet, scrolling through Justin’s patient file.
“Aside from the TBI and your allergies, are there any other chronic conditions we should be aware of? Heart condition? Diabetes?” Dr. Savarese looked up again and waited for Justin to have the focus to answer.
“No, but Brian is a Type 1 Diabetic and Cancer Survivor.” Justin finally muttered. “Here’s hoping you don’t pass on those genetics.”
“Kid’s got jokes.” Brian commented, his hand squeezing Justin’s shoulder in comfort.
“It is important to note things in your medical history as well, Brian. After all, this child is a mix of both of you.” Dr. Savarese smiled at the couple. “Alright. Now, Justin, I need you to lie back and lift up your shirt.”
Justin did as Dr. Savarese asked. He looked over at Brian who moved with Justin so as to stand near Justin’s shoulder. The two watched each other in silence, the reality of the situation fully sinking in as a monitor was brought over. They were going to see if the blood work was accurate.
“Do we have an idea of when this might have happened?” The doctor asked as he grabbed a squeeze bottle of gel and warmed it up in his hands.
“We always use condoms, but on New Year’s Eve we were extremely inebriated so we don’t remember the state of things as it were.” Brian responded before Justin could even process the question.
“So, we’re thinking it’s around 10 weeks.” Dr. Savarese nodded and squeezed the gel onto Justin’s abdomen. Justin hissed as the cool substance hit his skin.
“Sorry, it’ll warm up shortly.” The doctor apologized, “If the calculations are correct we should be able to see the fetus just fine.”
Justin and Brian smirked at one another as the doctor mentioned the gel warming up. They were well aware how quickly gels could warm up. Then, Dr. Savarese was telling them their child was up on the screen and Justin’s breath caught in his throat.
There on the screen was a tiny little blob that had a clearly defined head and stubby limbs. He squeezed Brian’s hand even tighter.
“Bri…” Justin muttered in a breathless voice. “That’s our baby.”
“Holy shit.” Brian muttered.
“Would you like to hear the heartbeat?” Dr. Savarese’s voice floated through their amazement at the image of their baby on the screen.
Justin tore his eyes away and stared at the doctor. “Can we really? Already?”
The doctor nodded, “You are measuring at 10 weeks exactly.”
Then he pressed a button and the room was filled with the sound of their baby’s heartbeat. Justin couldn’t believe the extremely rapid whooshing sounds were his child. The child that he was carrying inside him. He turned to look at Brian and saw the man had tears in the corners of his eyes. Justin smiled up at him and squeezed their hands again. Brian smiled at him and wiped at his tears.
“Guess this is really happening then.” Brian finally muttered. “Part of me thought this was all a hoax.”
“Me too.” Justin whispered. “But, that’s very real.”
—---
An hour later, Brian and Justin were sitting in the back of a cab headed home. Justin held the ultrasound in his hand. He couldn’t stop running his finger over the lines that made up the shape of their child. Holy fuck they were having a whole ass child.
“We should tell Gus.” Justin stated, his voice hushed, still in awe of everything.
“We should. Do we want to do it tonight or in a few weeks when you hit the second trimester?” Brian asked, wrapping his arm around Justin’s shoulder allowing his hand to come and rest on Justin’s abdomen.
“I think we should do it tonight. We are going to Pittsburgh this weekend. And the family is bound to realize, considering how often foods make me nauseous.” Justin shrugged.
“Oh, we are going are we?” Brian smirked. “I didn’t know you were tagging along. Don’t you have work next week?”
“Nope. Spring Break. I told you two weeks ago I would be off the third week of March.” Justin finally looked up, making eye contact with Brian.
“I didn’t know we’d discussed this.” Brian replied.
“Do you not want me to go?” Justin’s voice wobbled as tears pricked behind his eyes.
Brian saw Justin was on the verge of tears, so he gathered the man up in his arms. “No, not at all. I’d love for you to come. We just hadn’t officially discussed it.” Then he placed a kiss on Justin's temple.
Just then, the cab pulled up to their brownstone. The two climbed out and Brian handed the driver a few bills to cover the charge plus a hefty tip. Justin waited for him on the stoop to avoid going inside and immediately coming in contact with Gus. Brian wrapped his arm around Justin’s waist and they both entered their home. Justin couldn’t help the mushy smile that graced his face at the intimacy Brian was showing him now that they’d officially seen their baby. The sound of someone in the kitchen let them know that Gus was indeed home before them.
Turning the corner, Brian and Justin came face-to-face with not only Gus but Isaac as well. Justin couldn’t wipe the smile off his face fast enough. Gus clocked it immediately and approached them.
“Hold on mom, Dad and Justin just walked in.” Gus turned his phone around to show that Lindsay was on FaceTime with their son.
“Hello, Wendy!” Brian smiled and then moved toward the bathroom, officially leaving Justin to deal with Lindsay and Gus on his own.
Justin shook his head and ducked to hide his knowing smile. “Hey Linds. How are you guys doing?”
“Mel and I are great. J.R. is feeling better than she was this morning. I was just checking in with Gus.” Lindsay looked as though she wanted to ask more questions, but surprisingly Gus cut her off.
“Alright, ma. I will talk to you tomorrow. Love ya.” Then he hung up before she could say more than just her sentiments of mutual love.
Justin walked to the refrigerator and opened it looking for something to whip up quickly for himself and Brian. He called over his shoulder to Gus and Isaac who were still hanging around the kitchen.
“Hey, did you guys eat?”
“Depends. Are you asking because you just want to know or because you’re trying to decide how much to cook?” Gus quipped back, coming to stand next to Justin.
Justin rolled his eyes, turned completely around to face Isaac, “Did you guys eat and are you still hungry?”
Isaac awkwardly looked down at his lap and shrugged his shoulders. Justin smiled and pulled out enough chicken to feed four people. His mind wandered as he cooked. They hadn’t discussed it, but Justin really wanted to tell Gus and Isaac together about the new development in their lives. The chicken was almost done cooking in the oven when Justin’s stomach rolled. He decided to step out of the kitchen until it calmed down.
“Hey, Gus, could you finish the potatoes and take out the chicken when the timer dings?” Justin looked at the younger brunet.
Gus looked at him quizzically, but didn’t say anything as he nodded. Isaac stood up and smiled.
“I’ll help!”
Justin smiled at the teen and squeezed his shoulder as he passed by the blond. “Thanks, Isaac.”
Justin trudged back toward the bathroom where Brian had disappeared. He knew Brian was probably processing everything they’d learned today. The younger man wanted to give his partner the time and space he needed, but they also needed to discuss how they were going to handle everything. With a soft knock, Justin opened the door to the bathroom. He found Brian sitting on the closed toilet, staring at his hands as his fingers interlocked and came apart in a nervous motion.
“Hey,” Justin knelt down to be on Brian’s level. “Talk to me.”
A silence hung in the air as Justin waited for Brian to respond. After what felt like hours, Brian finally looked up and Justin saw his eyes were stormy, but not in an angry way.
“I never wanted kids. I never wanted to risk becoming the drunk asshole that my father was.” Brian whispered.
“I think Gus is proof that you aren’t him. But, if this isn’t something you want…” Justin couldn’t even voice the quiet part out loud.
Brian reached forward, bringing his hand around to cup the back of Justin’s head, “No. I meant that I never wanted kids, but now I can’t imagine us not having this kid. It’s crazy. I hadn’t felt anything one way or the other about you being pregnant until the doctor turned on their heartbeat. It suddenly hit me that I wanted nothing more than to have this baby and raise it with you.”
“Bri,” Justin didn’t have words for the emotions suddenly coursing through him at Brian’s words. Here was a man who for so long dug his heels in about being reminiscent of happy, married heteros and now he was embracing the prospect of having a family with Justin wholeheartedly. Sure, they’d helped guide Gus in his teenage years, but before that Brian had been able to prove his queerness by reminding Justin they weren’t a typical couple.
Brian leaned forward and kissed Justin on the lips. When he pulled back he was smiling. “I hope they are just like you.”
“Considering we have our hands full with your mini me, I’d have to agree.” Justin laughed. “Speaking of which. I want to tell them both.”
Even though Brian didn’t say it, Justin knew he was terrified as hell at the prospect of this new life. Sure, he wanted it, perhaps even as much as Justin, but there was something still scaring him about it all. Brian’s tight hold on his hand as they walked back toward the kitchen proved that.
“Should we do it tonight, over dinner? Or wait?” Brian whispered as they walked.
“I think tonight. We never know when Isaac is going to come around these days.” Justin replied, reaching up to kiss Brian on his cheek.
As they stepped into the dining area just off the kitchen, Justin saw that the boys had set the table and everything was ready to be served. Justin smiled at Gus and Isaac alike. The latter was putting food portions onto four different plates. So, Justin walked up behind him, ruffled his hair, and complimented him on doing a great job. Despite having spent many days at their home over the past 4 years, Isaac still felt insecure whenever he attempted to do something nice for others.
“Wow, dinner looks great. I’m a lucky man.” Brian smiled at Justin, Gus, and Isaac.
“Who are you and what have you done with my father?” Gus looked at Brian’s cheerful demeanor suspiciously. “I thought it was bad enough when you both came home smiling but chalked it up to you probably having a quickie in the cab. But, now it’s just getting weird.”
Justin choked on the water he had just started to sip. Brian snorted and then laughed. “I guess we deserve that. After all, Gus has walked in on us many times.”
“Yeah, but now it’s just weird. You are never this happy. Or if you are, you never show it. Please extract the pod person from your brain so we can go back to normal.” Gus looked between Brian and Justin as the two held hands and smiled at one another.
“Actually, Sonny Boy, there is something Justin and I need to tell you.” Brian muttered, his eyes still on Justin.
Isaac stayed quiet, but started to look nervous. So, Justin let go of Brian’s hand and gave the other teen his full attention. “We wish to tell you as well. After all, you’re part of this family too.”
Isaac smiled a bit at that comment. It warmed Justin’s heart knowing that the love and care he and Brian had given this boy over the years was very much appreciated. He reached over the table and squeezed Isaac’s hand.
“Okay. What’s going on? If you guys were splitting up you wouldn’t be smiling about it. Same goes for if Dad’s cancer was back. So what is it?” Gus wasn’t going for patience.
Justin took a deep breath and looked Gus squarely in the eyes. He reached into his pocket and pulled out the sonogram picture. He quietly handed it over to Gus, who immediately grabbed it. Isaac and Gus poured over the image in silence while Justin nervously watched them.
“So, you’ve hired a surrogate? I mean, that’s what Uncle Mike and Uncle Ben did when they had Violet.” Gus glanced from Justin to his Dad. “Why didn’t you tell me you guys were thinking about having a baby?”
“It’s not a surrogate.” Isaac mumbled, then he pointed to the top of the image so that Gus could see. “It’s Mr. Taylor.”
Gus’s face turned from intrigue to shock and back to intrigue in a matter of seconds. He looked up and passed his gaze between his two dads. Justin wished he could tell what Gus was thinking, but much like his father, the teen was adept at hiding his emotions from his face.
“What do you think?” Justin squeaked out. He nervously squeezed Brian’s hand.
“You’re pregnant? That’s a thing?” Gus asked in shock.
“How are you a chemistry major and you don’t know about male pregnancy?” Isaac added his two cents before turning to Brian and Justin. “I’m happy for you guys.”
“Thank you, Isaac.” Justin whispered.
“Look, I know it’s a thing. I just didn’t think my dads could be part of that.” Gus shrugged.
“Why not. They are male, therefore part of the phenomenon.” Isaac shrugged once more, turning back to the food in front of him.
His utter lack of shock or surprise eased a bit of the tension in Justin’s shoulders, but not all of it. After all, Gus had yet to say how he felt about it. Justin bit the inside of his cheek and watched as Gus continued to stare at the sonogram picture.
“Cool.” He shrugged and handed the image back to Justin. Then he dived into his food without another word.
Justin got up from the table. Gus hadn’t outright said he hated the news, but he also hadn’t been enthusiastic for it either. The blond needed some time to himself. Besides, his stomach was resisting the idea of eating anything at the moment. As he sat down on his and Brian’s bed he casually wondered how Brian was handling his sudden departure from the table.
His mind wandered to his own experiences with his father. Justin had always wanted to have kids and to be the best father he could be. When he was younger he’d thought he would emulate his father because the man had always been wonderful toward him. But, then he’d come out and things devolved quickly, forcing Justin to realize he needed to emulate someone else if he ever wanted to be a dad. Then, when things got serious with Brian he knew fatherhood was never going to be anything more than part-time thanks to Brian’s lack of interest in having a child outside of the one he fathered for Mel and Linds.
Justin is pulled from his thoughts by the feel of Brian’s hand on his shoulder. He looked up and saw the older man with concern all over his face. Justin pressed the heels of his hands into his eyes, took a deep breath, and forced himself to smile up at Brian.
“I’m sorry.” Justin heaved, trying to avoid the emotions threatening to boil over.
Brian sat down next to him. He pulled Justin against his chest. “Sorrys are bullshit. You’re allowed to be upset.”
“But, Gus didn’t do anything wrong.” Justin mumbled against Brian’s chest. “Besides, he has every right to resent this baby. Considering the evolution of your relationship with him.”
“He can feel how he feels about it, but he still should’ve been more considerate in how he reacted.” Brain rubbed his hand up and down Justin’s back.
“Brian, he didn’t exactly react at all. I’m just being overly sensitive. I’m happy about this so I hoped everyone else would be.” Justin nuzzled his head into Brian’s neck.
“Just give him time. He will come around. You can’t forget he’s still cagey sometimes about the whole arrangement you and I have. He’s a teenager.” Brian shrugged.
Justin pulled back in surprise. “When did you become the logical, steady one in this relationship?”
“I’ve always been mature and logical.” Brian smirked, knowing full well he used to be a petty mess when he didn’t get his way.
“Sure,” Justin chuckled and then stood up. “I’m hungry. Don’t wait for me.”

LN- all roads lead to you
Chapter 2: Austin
A month. A month and 11 days. That was the time since Monza, since Milan, since her, since her kiss. He couldn't help but feel astonished at her act. He was dying to do it, but he didn't want to freak her out, rush things and fuck up everything. He decided to wait but never expected what in fact happened. He still couldn't believe his lips, those ordinary, humble lips had the honor to be in touch with those heavenly pieces of flesh. He also couldn't believe that she was standing there at Austin's circuit in the middle of nowhere in Texas only a few meters from him. Her eyes were fixed on her phone and never, never before, had he wished so badly to be a touchable rectangle. It reminded him about Silverstone in that same year, the first time he saw her.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Earlier that year: Silverstone Circuit, England.
Lewis could see her small frame perfectly... well, she was with the back turned to him, but the perfect peach-shaped bum was hers and he could recognize it anywhere.
She jumped a little when she felt a pair of hands touching her ribs "fuck" he laughed "Don't do it, maledetto" "Is that Italian? Are you cursing me?" "Maybe. How do you know?" "It felt like an insult" "You deserved it. You know it's easy to scare me" "Sorry for scaring you" He opened his arms inviting her for a hug. She hugged him "So happy you came" "Couldn't miss it" she smiled "Are you okay?" "Yes, super excited, it's home after all" "Correct, Sir" he chuckled "And you?" "Yes, love UK" "You do, signorina" "I hate your Italian accent" "Well, that's not my problem" She rolled her eyes "Rude" he grinned, kissing her forehead "I am going there" he pointed a direction: Mercedes' box "wanna join me?" "Depends. Will you walk as a normal person or ride those ridiculous scooters you and Angela usually use?" he laughed "I can walk" "so I am coming with you" "Lovely" he threw an arm around her neck "Hey, want to go out to dinner tonight?" "sure. Where?" "Sushi?" she said already knowing his answer "Come on! You know I am a vegan" "Yeah. So you order the vegetarian sushi. Vegans eat rice, right?" "Does it really exist? And yes, we eat rice" "Okay. And of course it exists! It has carrots and celery" She paused to think "Or was it cucumber?..." he laughed "Anyway" "Okay. Think I'll accept" She smiled "Great" "Where do you want to go?" "I was thinking about sticking at Nobu" "Nobu. That's a high class place" "Are you in?" "Can I bring Tom Cruise with me?" "Tom Cruise?!" "Yes, he is..." "Lewis!" someone called for him. They both stopped and turned around to see who it was. It was Angela running with all her efforts to reach them. "Hey" "Hey, I was looking for you, need to check a few things. Oh! Gooday, love!" Angela greeted her. She smiled and the blonde one did the same "Hi, Angela" "Can you give us a moment?" "Sure". She stood a few feet from them, not interested in boring subjects, continuing to edit a few pictures on her cellphone.
But she didn't know her frame was being observed again, but now for a different pair of eyes: Lando's eyes. And he wasn't even being discreet 'cause while Max Verstappen talked with him he was clearly paying attention to another thing. The small and beautiful girl standing some miserable steps from him, super interested in her cellphone, was way more attention-attracting than Max talking about how confident about the race he was. And of course, it was noticed "Are you even listening to me?" "I'm..." he finally looked at the Dutchman "...not" "asshole" he laughed "Sorry, something else caught my attention" He looked around, trying to figure out what was more interesting than himself. He found and smirked at his mate. "Okay, I forgive you" the British lad laughed and Max took the opportunity to stare too "Is she going out with Lewis?" Lando asked "No. They're just friends. She is friends with me as well. Plus she's taken already" "Do you know her?!" "yeah. I mean, we know each other, we never properly talked tho" "So you're not friends" "We might have exchanged only two or three words..." "So you're not friends" "Yeah, whatever" silence. He was staring again, Max chuckled "Hot, huh?" he broke the gaze "I... you have a girlfriend!!" "I do, but she's still hot. Kelly told me these exact same words the other day" "No" "She did" he laughed "Yeah... hot" He started again, it was so relieving the fact he could simply stand in there and stare till he didn't want anymore, but he couldn't be more desperate when he heard Max's voice calling the girl "Bro, what are you doing?" He laughed "waving to my friend" "You just admitted you're not friends!" "Shut up!" she looked around to see who called her. She found it. Waved back to Max, blocked her phone, and told Lewis where she'd be, walking towards the duo. "Great, now she's coming over here. Do I still have time to run away?" "Be a man and behave yourself" "Hi!" she stood on her tiptoes and hugged Max "Hey, how are you?" "I'm good, and you?" "Good too, excited for the race" she smiled "I think everyone is" "Yeah!" "Sorry for not seeing you, I was editing some photos" "Nah! Is okay. Photography is your thing, right?" "It's. I need it just as I need air to live..." he smiled "When are you coming to the Netherlands again?" "I'm actually going to Amsterdam soon" "Oh! That's good we may go out someday" "Sure! It'd be nice" "Your boyfriend can join us as well. How's his name? I can't remember" "Hum..." she cleaned her throat "We broke up" she said awkwardly "Oh, no! I am sorry" "It's fine, it was 2 years ago" He started to blush. Lando swallowed the laugh back, content that the karma hit Max back at lightspeed  "No! Really sorry, you guys were together for so long" "Max, I'm fine" "Alright..." "Are you still with Kelly?" "Yes! We are pretty solid" "Damn. Thought I could finally flirt with you" "I..." "I am kidding!" she giggled "It's good to hear you guys are still together" "Oh, ok. Yes, that's good news. You can flirt anytime you want, tho. I will just not flirt back" "But what's funny about that?" They laughed. A laugh that was followed by an awkward silence "That's Lando by the way" She looked at him, her eyes on him for the very first time, opening a smile without showing her teeth "Hi! Nice to meet you" "Nice to meet you too" "Hey, guys I probably should get going before Lewis leaves me here" "Yeah, sure" "But it was good to see... and meet you" "Yeah..." She gave him another hug "Can I...?" "Absolutely" she gave Lando a hug as well, she smelled like strawberry lipgloss and expensive champagne "Say hi to Lewis for us" "Sure! And, Lando, can you please, if you see Daniel tell him for God's sake to reply to me" only the stupid of Daniel to not reply to her "consider it done" "thank you so much. Bye bye!" "Bye!" they waved back. Lando looked at Max and poked his chest "You're ridiculous" he busted out laughing " 'Absolutely' and 'consider it done'. Seriously? Couldn't you look more desperate?" 'Thank God she hasn't noticed, 'cause she was too busy flirting with you', Lando thought. "That was ridiculous, man! You just did it to annoy me. She doesn't even seem to like you!" "That's because she doesn't" "I can see why" he muttered "Next time you pay attention to me" "Spoiled" he coughed, Max frowned "Shut up!"

Present time: Circuit of the Americas, Austin, Texas
"Lando!" Charlotte's voice took him back to reality "Hey..." "Are you ready to press?" "Of course" "you don't lie to me" "I will be. You know I always do" "Great! so you can start formulating how you're going to respond to inconsistency at the beginning of the race in Istanbul" "What!? That spray was scary, I couldn't see anything!" "Now you tell them that" "Sure I will" he grumbled with his iPhone in hands. Of course, texting George was way more interesting "Lando!" "hum?" "Give me that phone" "I don't think so" She took the phone from his hands "Wait! No! Give it back!" "No. Only after you practice what you're going to say" he snorted "Media is a big cocksucker" he muttered "Watch your mouth!" "You are not my mom!" she looked at him, and arched an eyebrow, she had a murdering gaze, daring him with her eyes only to say it again. Lando swallowed dryly "Sorry, Charlie" "It's okay. Just do what I am telling you" "Fine" "Good! See you in 20" "See ya". He turned around to start looking for George and finished telling him about that new level of the video game, but he saw a spot, a spot moving, getting closer, walking towards his direction. He could tell it was a girl, the curves denounced, but he couldn't tell who she was. But she was pretty and as much as she approached he could see her better and want her better. Her black hair, her glowing sun-kissed skin, her voluptuous thighs, and her cowgirl outfit that he, later in that day, would love to take out of her. He had forgotten George already. He also had forgotten about the Italian macchiato, his mind was on the mysterious girl with whom he was ready to start a very flirtatious conversation when he heard a voice. Melodic voice. A voice he wished lived inside his head: her voice. "Seems someone made the blonde lady very angry" and instantly he forgot about the beautiful lady, the one who passed through them without attracting a single drop of his attention "Seems someone is too stupid for daring do that" she giggled "You're suffering the consequences" "yeah" he blushed "it's nice to see you" "yeah..." she bit her bottom lip "what Austin did to deserve your presence here in the middle of nowhere. Nothing against Austin, tho" she giggled "you" he blushed again "m-me...?" "Nah! I have family in Austin. We are here to watch the race" "oh! So you are staying till Sunday?" she raised an eyebrow "I-I mean…tomorrow" he blushed "Still not sure. Why?" "I just.... I was just wondering if you were going to stay and watch the race. It would be nice if you did" he passed his fingertips over his hair, clearly nervous. She smiled softly "I think it's funny how confident and loose you were in that bar in Milan and how you're so introvert and shy right now" "Well..." he giggled shyly "It doesn't have any alcohol at the paddock" she smiled, warmly, a bit disappointed, it wasn't his intention though "Sure! You can't be drunk at the paddock" "Tipsy" he corrected her, catching her attention "I was tipsy" "Of course" he could smell the sarcasm in the words that left from her lips "Oh, come on! You were tipsy as well!" "I wasn't" "What about the beer you paid me?" "Mine was zero alcohol, Mr Norris" "Zero alcohol?! Aren't you a drinker?" "I do drink. But, I drove back to Ravenna that night" "Oh! Fair enough" so she did mean to kiss him "So that kiss..." he said in a low tone "What?" "It wasn't your half drunk neurons" she giggled "No it wasn't. Just yours" He lifted his arms "Guilty as charged" "Bet you work better when you're sober" "What do you mean?" she smirked, "want to go out with me?" "go out?" "Yeah" "Like a date?" "It doesn't have to be. Just go out to drink something not alcoholic. Show me your sober neurons" he smiled "Sure, but..." Of course it had a but "I don't know if I can right now, we have a press conference and... boring pre-race stuff" she smiled warmly, disappointed again "I get it" "Maybe some other day?" "Yeah, ok. Just gimme a call" "alright. But there's a problem" "What now?" "I don't have your number" she smirked again "Do you want my phone number?" "Yeah, so I can call you when I am free" "Will you use my number if I give it to you?" "I intend to" She bit her bottom lip, hesitating "Okay. Where's your phone?" "Is here" he touched his pockets "Or not. Guess I left it with Charlotte. I mean... she took it from me" she sighed, smiling "You're impossible Lando!" he laughed "I am sorry" He took a black marker from his pocket "I have a pen, tho" she stared at the marker and grabbed it, imitating his voice "You have a pen tho" and started writing down her number on his arm. "On the arm" "Yes" "so it will not fade away if I wash my hands" Exactly" he would tattoo those numbers on his arm if it needed to not lose that "Smart lady" "Thanks" they smiled at each other "here's your marker" he gave a look on the numbers still not completely dry, without touching on it. He grabbed the pen, and their fingertips brushed "I will let you do your boring stuff now" "alright" they couldn't break eye contact "see you then" "see you" she smiled breaking their private atmosphere and turned her heels to leave, but he grabbed her waist and pulled her to himself "what..." turning around in a half circle and kissing her lips briefly before she even finished the line. "I..." "That's me being sober" then he smirked, switching the game she started that night in Milan, leaving her speechless and shy, for the first time "plus, you were going the wrong way" she still couldn't speak "oh! Thanks" she smiled awkwardly, "one more thing: I hate alcohol" "Do you!?" he grinned "Yeah" "so why have you drank that beer?" "I thought you were drinking" "So if I jump off the bridge you do it too" "Of course not, I ain't stupid" "okay..." she couldn't be more confused "one day I tell you". He won, 1x1. Her chin dropped, the hope was taken from her. He smirked, walking backward, feeling invincible just as she did with that kiss, but three times more "bye bye" he said goodbye waving to her and leaving. 'How quick his confidence came back', she thought, loving every single piece of that brief moment, touching lightly her lips still tasting like him, wishing it didn't have to be a goodbye.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Later that day:
She walked downstairs, euphoric, walking as fast as she could, calling the first person on her contacts. She thought Lando had boring pre-racing stuff to do. If placing his beautiful British, F1 driver hands, on one of the Dallas Cowboys cheerleader's waist, a little lower than what was considered ok, was boring and related to F1 she wanted to be a driver as well. And she was very afraid of high speed. Firstly, she thought she was just being jealous, but when the girl threw her arms around him, his neck and shoulders, those she had gripped just a few minutes ago, playing with the curls on his nape, the ones she caressed at that night in Milan, she almost dropped the iced coffees she bought for her and Daniel on the ground.
She listened to a few beeps before the other person on the line picked up "Pronto" (go for it) "Giaro" "Ciao, amore mio! Come stai, principessa?" (hi, darling! How are you, princess?) "Potrebbe stare migliore. E tu?" (Could be better. And you?) "Io vado bene. Benissimo. Cosa succede?" (I'm good. I'm great. What happened?) "Sono sola" (I'm lonely) "Perché non l'hai detto prima!? Dove tu sei?" (Why haven't you said it before? Where are you?) "Texas" "Puoi andare a Amsterdam?" (Can you come to Amsterdam?). She thought about Lando, the cheerleader, then to The Netherlands, Giaro, Martin, Louis, and Julian, all her friends in there and finally answered "Sì. Questo è sicuro" (Yeah, that's for sure) "Allora, si vediamo domani?" (So we see tomorrow?) "Si vediamo domani" (We see tomorrow) Giaro cheered "Mille bacione" (Thousand kisses) "Grazie mille" (Thank you so much) "Arrivederci" (Bye) "Ciao" (Bye) she hung up and took a deep breath. It was done. The first flight to Europe was in a few hours, when the race started she would be at an airport lounge, ready to fly away from Austin, away from him.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hey, hum, Daniel" "Howdy, Lando!" he blinked "I don't know what that means" "What!? It's Texan slang! It's how they say hi in Texas" "I haven't... I didn't see anyone saying this but okay. I am looking for a girl. She's that friend of yours. The Italian one" "Are you looking for her? Bad news. She had to leave" "Leave? Why?" "An emergency" "Is she okay?" "Oh, yes, yes. A photographic emergency" "Oh! Is she coming back?" "Let me be more specific: a photographic emergency in Amsterdam" "Amsterdam?!" "Yes. She has a studio there" "So she's gone, just like that?" "She's probably at the airport, but yeah" "fuck..." He grabbed his phone, pulled up his sleeve, and started to tip the numbers written on his arm "Why are you looking for her, by the way?" "She has something that's mine" his interest "Does she? I didn't know you guys..." But Lando started to walk away from him with his phone in his ear.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Austin-Bergstrom airport:
She stared at her phone. Unknown number. Funny. On the same day she gave her number to Lando. Wasn't he too busy with the cheerleader? She ignored him. If she picked she would say things she would regret and she really wanted to have the opportunity of kissing him again. Of being that close of him again. To inspect all his details. His skin, his sun freckles, the gap between his teeth... But not that night or the night before. He had to conquer her. Give her a good reason to open herself physically and emotionally. It wasn't going to be like all the guys before him. Not that time.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
"Damn" he snorted:
she hung up.

announcement: chapter eight
my darlings, i never thought i’d be writing this message (especially this week of all weeks). but despite my hardest effort i’m afraid i won’t have chapter eight ready tonight 🥺
i hunkered down all day yesterday, but something came up today that i couldn’t get around and i wasn’t able to dedicate the time needed to finish it up and edit 🥺 i do my best to get the ball rolling during the week, but the weekends are my crunch time due to work.
as much as this pains me, i’d hate to try and rush to get it posted when this is such a pivotal and anticipated chapter. i really wanna make sure what gets published is something i’m truly proud of and worth it for you all 🥺💖
if it’s any consolation, it will be the longest chapter of the series (i’m already at 4.6K and there’s a bit still to go ❤️‍🔥 WITH NO PLOT). i’m aiming to get it done within the next couple of days so i don’t get off track, but i’m just mentally spent today and i don’t want to be tired and grumpy while trying to write what we’ve all been waiting for 🥺
thank you so, so much for your understanding. i really appreciate you all for hanging in there with me week by week. this is honestly my worst nightmare, but i just don’t wanna fumble this for you 🥺💖
