Rio and Jeff both have different and unique relationships with all of the arachkids that Miles brings home (or that just seem to spawn in their living room periodically lmao).

They both love Pav (who doesn’t?). Rio loves his more outgoing/goofy personality and how it brings it out in everyone around him (Jeff especially gets a bit goofy and it reminds her of when Miles was young and how they used to play and interact — it makes her heart melt). Jeff likes good vibes and the kid is full of them lol, easy banter, perfect ‘yes, and’ energy all around. They constantly ask how his girlfriend and family are doing. He brings them authentic chai (they’ve all dropped the ‘chai tea’ phrase) and brings Rio gifts almost every time he’s over as a thanks for letting him impose on their space (flowers, fabrics, jewelry, you name it. she loves and appreciates every thing he brings and is very touched at the thought despite telling him every time that it’s not necessary).

Neither had a great impression of Gwen at first, and it’s still a bit tentative but they can see how happy she makes Miles and how much she means to everyone in the group. Rio immediately notices how she shows her care and affection differently than anyone else — it’s in the details that she leaves behind. A sweater here, a drumstick there, as if to say ‘I know I’m universes away but I’m also still here and I’ll be back’. Jeff notices how the girl is always teasing but never too far, just enough to poke fun and more often put people at ease. She wants everyone to be comfortable and happy. She flits in and out sporadically but is always there when she’s needed. She is the biggest supporter of Miles’ creativity and somehow always knows when he’s close to burning himself out with schoolwork and makes a point to drag him out and let off some steam to get his mind to a better place. She’s getting better at the respect part, only slipping up on their names a few times and learning the etiquette rules. They both appreciate her efforts.

Margo is their favorite, hands down. She’s the perfect mix of respectful and witty. She keeps them all honest. She’s always the first to offer to help cook or set the table anytime she’s over for dinner. She helps Jeff with his tech problems and has long conversations with Rio in spanish (they have slightly different accents and dialect but they make it work). She is literally their ideal daughter in law (but would never push Miles away from who he wants, so they leave the matter be and just appreciate her as Miles’ friend).

Hobie is the most complicated out of the bunch. Rio sees him as someone in need of her mothering and is constantly trying to force food and comfort onto him. Every time he’s over she offers their house for the night so she can have peace of mind knowing that he’s safe (she had heard that he doesn’t have a stable living situation and has been Worried since). She knows he comes from a complicated world and wants to help the kid her son is so fond of. He is respectful and considerate, if a little bit tense whenever Jeff is around. Rio doesn’t mind his punk look or attitude, after all, she herself was a bit of an anarchist once upon a time and she just wants the best for him. Jeff likes Hobie. He really does. Even if they butt heads and have very different (and sometimes loud) opinions on certain topics. But at the end of the day he feels for the kid and wishes things were different in both of their worlds so Hobie wouldn’t have to feel so on edge around him. He knows they’re never going to be best buds or maybe even anything better than ‘slightly tense and awkward’ but he vows to at least do anything in his power to show the kid that there’s still good in the world(s).

Rio and Jeff are just glad that Miles has so many people in his life that love and support him <3

‼️ART TRIGGER WARNING: Mild body horror/gore

Sooooo I kinda unexpectedly deviated from what I would consider my normal art preferences here. Mostly because I’ve seen a lot of talented artists drawing their own renditions of menacing Puzzles fanart where he goes fully insane and whatnot. I wanted to also contribute to that trend somehow…although it’s slightly out of my usual comfort zone << especially with his recent design change of loosing his whole lower body lol. Adapting that into my art was an interesting experimental challenge

Here is my own take on Puzzles falling apart! Quite literally! I still wanted to add a bit of empathy in here for him tho— because I’m going to be so distraught if WOTFI 2024 is his resignation from the spotlight for good. His final bow on stage if you will; the grand finale of his performance before he departs in death (MAN I SURE HOPE HE DOESN’T DIE BUT THE FANDOM SPECULATIONS AND PARANOIA ARE GETTING TO MY HEAD. And it just seems like the narrative progression is leaning that way). Well not matter what happens to him this upcoming Saturday…this tragic TV guy has impacted me in unexpected ways and I’m just so glad we got to spend and entire year with his character. And he’s sure not gonna disappear from my art anytime soon. Hopefully I won’t be maiming him ever again after this though jksjsksp he’s suffered enough angst for now <3

A Ticklish Revenge

“Well, that was fun!” Jay announced 

The Enhypen members were on their drive back to the dorm from recording their ‘EN-OCLOCK’ episode.

“Yeah, watching you guys getting tickled was so funny, HAHA.” Sunoo exaggerated the laughter to rub in the fact that every other member but him had to go through tickle torture.

“Oh shut up, hyung!” Niki retorted while jabbing him in the side

Suddenly, an idea popped into Heeseung’s head. What if they tickled him for revenge? Heeseung whispered his plan to Jake, who took Sunoo’s phone. He didn’t want Sunoo to see his plan in the group chat as they couldn’t have him knowing what was about to come.

“Hyungggg,” Sunoo whined, “Please give my phone backkkk”

“Okay fine,” Jake said after deleting the messages from the younger’s phone.

“Here you go”

“Thank you, you’re so annoying”

“You’re gonna regret saying that”

When they arrived, everyone except Sunoo rushed to get back to the dorm.

Sunoo looked around, confused as to why they had all sprinted out so quickly. When he asked the staff, they shrugged. Sunoo shrugged as well, assuming it was normal Enhypen behavior. Sometimes they could be pretty chaotic.

The other six members went straight to Jake, Jay, and Heeseung’s room to discuss their plan.

“Okay, so he’s going to take a shower first. That’s what he always does after we record. When he finishes changing, he’ll probably want to take a nap. The plan is that when he gets in bed, Jungwon will text Jake. Then Jake will tell me and Jay. Niki and Sunghoon will be in the room already since they room with him. When we three enter, we all get on Sunoo’s bed and will start tickling him. If we wait too long to start, he may get suspicious given the episode we filmed. Plus, tickling is extremely common between us.” Hesseung explained, as he said the last part Jake nervously giggled, remembering all the times he had been wrecked. He almost felt bad for Sunoo. Almost.

When Sunoo got in bed to take his nap, Jungwon texted Jake.

*Yawn* “Gosh, I’m tired. I’m gonna take a nice long nap.” Sunoo said as he hugged himself with a big smile. It just felt so nice to be in a warm bed after a long day. He layed down on his pillow, closed his eyes, and… laughed?

“HAHAHA,” Sunoo laughed loudly out of sheer surprise, “WHY HAHA”

“Isn’t it obvious?” Jake asked teasingly

“We’re getting you back for not going through the same torture (heavenly experience lol) as we did.” Niki explained while digging into his hyung’s sides. This elicited the loudest, most contagious laugh. It could almost be compared to a loud baby laugh.

“That was a good reaction” Heeseung smirked

“OKAHAY IM SORRY JUST STOP HAHA”

“Sorry for what?” Sunghoon asked

“FOR HAHA MAKING you guys have to go through the tickling alone” They stopped tickling the sunshine to let him speak

“Oh no, no need to apologize! We were gonna tickle you either way.” Jay chuckled aloud at his own cruelty.

“That’s not fair hahaha nohoho” Sunoo laughed as Jungwon wiggled his fingers above him teasingly

“Do you want us to go hard but only for a short time or slow but for longer?” Jake asked

“Just get it done with quicklyyy”

“WAIT” Sunoo regretted his decision instantly when he felt the other’s tickling him less than seconds after he made his decision.

“No wait now, it’s too late,” Jay said

“HAHAHAHA IHI CAN'T TAKE IT ANY LONGER HAHA”

When the others heard this, they decided to go for the kill. Jay squeezed his sides while Jake squeezed his legs and the others tickled randomly. It was torture (heaven; I’m sorry I had to).

When they saw how tired he was from laughing so hard, they let up.

“Ohoho my gohod. That was so haha oh my god.”

“Speechless, huh?” Niki asked

“Wow that was intense”

They left Sunoo in his room to take his well-deserved nap.

“We need to do that more often, it was fun”, Niki said enthusiastically

 The other members nodded smiling from ear to ear. 

Meanwhile, Sunoo who secretly enjoyed being tickled, was laughing in his sleep.

That whole classy lady look she had was so fitting and she worked it very well. They genuinely looked so damn good together and Priscilla is going to Hell for robbing us of the potential Jacksley kids

We’re backkkk

So, for those who are new to this blog or have forgotten - don’t blame you there, it’s been eight months lol - my name is Parker! I’m one of the hosts in the Schrödinger’s Cat Collective. I’m gonna format the rest of this post like an FAQ bc writing a block of paragraph is boring for you guys and me

So, what happened?

In a roughly linear but haphazard order:

1. Denial + a lot of assumptions we made about our system and how it worked, which ended up with us believing we weren’t a system at all

2. Stress. Oh my god so much stress, made worse by autistic burnout. It was horrific, but thankfully that was late last year, and we’re okay now

3. I don’t know what happened, but now there are literally only 5 of us. I actually can’t explain it. I think maybe some people might have fused together but it’s hard to tell, since almost everyone here now existed in some form before. Man, idek T-T

Why are y’all back?

We debated making this post for a bit, mostly because we were scared to be wrong about being a system again, or that’s we’re secretly faking or making things up because we’re bored, etc. But I’ve realised that that’s a dumb reason, and that if it were another system saying those things we wouldn’t be nearly as harsh on them as we are, in reality, on ourselves.

(Also the body is sick rn and everyone else is taking a break meaning I’m by myself feeling like crap, so I’m doing a Good Thing. I know they missed posting here but everyone kept putting off writing this post so look at me saving the day)

What is and will be changed?

- we will no longer be calling ourselves an OSDD 1B system, as we are unsure of our system origin. Currently we call ourselves a median system, leaning closer to being plural

- as always, this is a no-syscourse zone. However, we do want to explicitly state that we are fully supportive of ALL systems regardless of type, origin and whatever else, provided everyone is civil. If you are uncomfortable with this, there’s no obligation for you to stay here

- we’ll still post memes, but we might post other things too!

- we’ll also be updating our bio and pinned post soon :)

I'm backkkk and I've just finished my Raven Boys reread!

I have Dream Thieves requested, but I'm on my library's wait list, so it might be a hot second before I can actually read it.

I'd really forgotten a lot of the book! I think most of what I remember is from later in the series, tbh. [For some reason I was dead convinced the toga party was in book 1?!?!] I do remember that during my first read, Noah and Ronan were my favourite characters; that is still the case, especially vaguely remembering what happens later.

Somehow my brain had totally erased Whelk though. How? Idk!!! That man is literally like a fourth of the plot for the first book.

I'd also forgotten how young everyone is. I think because they have cars and Monmouth Manufacturing is home base for a lot of the boys that had made me convince myself that they were at least uni age, but nope! Also can we spend a moment on Monmouth??? Literally a town in Wales!

This ask is getting so long, so I'll wrap it up, but reading again I made a lot more of the connections happening between all the characters and events. I definitely understood the nuaces better than the first time I read asw!

Anyway, it was a good read and I'm happy to have done it and I'm looking forward to the rest of the series. Thanks for reading my thoughts! Can I update you as I read the other books?

As much as I like her honest approach to his fame and the way he’s treated, I think his PR team won’t be too happy. If Ferrari PR is letting Carlos date Rebecca, who consistently has threads calling her a prostitute, I’m pretty sure McLaren PR could deal with Y/N being called a clout chaser who doesn’t smile enough 😂 let’s not forget this same department let Donald Trump in the garage and did not brief Lando not to say he respects him. Whether you agree or disagree he with what he said, you can’t argue that McLaren PR always follow the path of least resistance with their publicity opportunities 😂

Fundamentally, also, Lando is getting away with a lot here. Whereas fans gave him a lot of shit for his escapades with women and even called him a misogynist for talking about girls on streams and asking for nudes, Y/N has diffused all of that. The worst that’s been said is that he’s dumb for falling for her but ultimately that’s not anywhere near the worst negativity that could be directed at him. It’s preferable, even, for him not to look like the douche who has the upper hand.

At least, that’s the way I’ve decided to go with it.
