No bc I literally don't understand what the actual FUCK paramore were thinking joining the biggest tour in the world as an OPENER as a replacement for an EU tour that fans gave been asking for for the longest time *AFTER* the presale period for said tour tickets (that cost an arm, a leg, your first born child, a blood sacrifice and your kidney on the black market excluding accommodation and transport 🙂) has already ended a MONTH ago and somehow thinking fans would actually be happy abt this. Like I seriously cannot understand their train of thought behind this. Literally who signed off on this. Who genuinely thought this was a good idea and not a massive "fuck you" to EU fans, some of which (like us here, hi, remember us? It's been 12 years this week...) have been waiting for TEN+ years wishing and hoping and holding out hope we would have our special moment seeing everyone else get to have theirs and just have so much fun and awesome experiences while we sit and watch and tell ourselves someday, somehow, it will be us.... And then whenever it is time for shows to happen (bc pmore is not a touring band, there's only one shot and it's when there's an album out - so it's been at least 6 years for everyone here) we either get ignored or.. whatever the hell this is.
Like I don't think you understand so ill say it again... THEY ANNOUNCED THEIR EU TOUR IS AS AN OPENER FOR THE BIGGEST ARTIST IN THE WORLD WHEN YOU CAN'T EVEN GET TICKETS ANYMORE AND *BASICALLY* CALLED IT THEIR EU TOUR BC THEY HAVENT SAID ANYTHING ABT ACTUALLY DOING ONE OF THEIR OWN.... yeah.
And don't even get me started on the ppl trying to gaslight EU fans into feeling bad or make us the bad guy here for not being happy with this shitty arrangement... Yes, this is big for them. Yes, they're gonna make a shit ton of money and yes, h and t are friends so they're literally chilling with friends for months (extra fun for them) but bands are literally nothing without the fans and we're being told to just smile and suck it up and be happy for them bc somehow money and fame matter more than the people who got you where you are and are just asking you for something as basic as respect bc they're literally being treated below everyone else... That's all it is abt, right? The money and selling out arenas (bc 'tHeY cOuLdnT dO iT oN ThEiR oWn tHiS iS mAssIvE jUsT ShUt uP anD bE hAppY fOr tHeM')....as long as u can make a shit ton of money it's a free for all, fuck the fans and their feelings right lol 🤪🤪🫠 like 'omg ur upset one of ur fave bands is treating u like ass/lesser than?? omg grow upppp they dont owe u anythinggg 😒😐'
Anyway I'm still pissed and I do hope they will do the right thing and like, at least try to have their own shows between her gigs or smth and can fix this for everyone specially considering how many people are giving them pushback for this bc this is absolutely atrocious and a diservice to EU pmore fans and our right to be upset is valid and I will not be told to calm down by Americans (et al but mostly americans) who are used to everything being handed out to them on a silver plate telling us to be happy abt them making bank and that we're overreacting fuck that noise lol

okay buckle up chuckle fucks here is everything i remember from tonight (absolutely missing some stuff)
- before dan comes on he introduces himself over the speaker stating that he asked phil to do it and phil said no because he didn’t want to be sat behind a curtain for an hour
- dan comes on stage and stands in the big church plinth thing (iconic)
- he tells a story about how he went to a&e the day before yesterday because he had sore eyes. says phil was trying to get him to put eye drops in but he was being very dramatic so whilst on the phone to 111 phil knelt over him lying on the bathroom floor holding his eyes open to put drops in. dan then went to hospital to check it and everything’s fine (lol) he just needed some special eyedrops. phil did not accompany him and dan had to cross a dual carriageway on his own whilst not being able to see well (i doubt he will ever let it go)
- here is a diagram i drew on the way home to depict said event
Tumblr media Tumblr media
- it is also giving this
Tumblr media
- spoke about the butt chair. union chapel said they did not have any furniture for him to borrow so he had to bring his own - he bought the butt chair from his bedroom and a lil plant to decorate. said phil carried the plant to the car but made dan get the chair in the uber and then said “okay have fun at work sweetie” (this was said jokey but we died nonetheless)
- he then talks about pissyourselffordan trending and how he had to explain to harper collins what the actual fuck was happening on stan twt. apparently they were glad the fans were supportive and he has an engaged audience but they were not going to use the hashtag in the promo. called the whole scenario pissgate and the crowd chanted piss at him
- he was told there was wine and advertised wine before realising alcohol was not allowed in the church. he then got given a sprite and everyone screamed that it was piss
- talked about the book and the previous release, how weird covid was, talked about the photoshoot for the book cover and the graphic design. said he didn’t love the pics because they were super dramatic. someone shouted “it’s cunty” he replies: “oh it’s cunty is it?” then realises he said cunty in a church which was a big lol
- he then read the new chapters, several mentions of phil not being supportive and abandoning him at the hospital (he talked about phil a lot it was very sweet)
- then brought out dan’s slit (box used to put questions in before the show)
- the questions i can remember include but are not limited to:
- what was the weirdest position you wrote the book in: “cheeks out in an armchair curled up over my laptop, you might think your scrolling posture is okay now but when you hit thirty you will all be broken”
- fave comfort show: “the office - is the office a bit millennial? it isn’t as millennial as friends. ross being offended by a manny? that’s where my internalised homophobia is from”
- how has the gaming channel affected your mental health? A: he is finding it a lot more sustainable than before because of help with editing, but will see where it goes
- will he ever judge drag race: he didn’t want to when he was asked because he didn’t want to be exposed to more speculation about his sexuality at the time, same with strictly come dancing
- how do you cope with feeling lonely whilst surrounded by people: talked about how online friends are truly real friends and distance doesn’t have to determine friendship levels. says it is important to notice the friendships even that aren’t close
- i can’t remember the question but he said that phil has to remind him of some of the stuff that is in ywgttn when he struggles “i literally learnt the word catastrophising from your book dan come on”
- another tour? “do you guys want that” *screaming* “what would it be?” *dan and phil games screams* “well 👀👀”
- are we going to get more sister daniel: *everyone loses their minds* “maybe i should have done it for the church but it is far too exposing under the spotlight”
- did you work in the asda in Lower Earley: “what in the baby reindeer? yes i did”
- then went to the insta questions that were too inappropriate for the audiobook including
- piss
- will you wear wigs
- when will you wear wigs
- how long is your big toe “six centimetres - i don’t have a big toe im just a long person”
- pee pee poo poo time
- what were the other names for the book: “you will get through this was a bit cliche, you will get through this night? she is sexy and mysterious. at first we wanted to call it “you are messed up read this to fix your issues” but then realised the book was more serious in tone after it was finished so went with ywgttn instead”
- i genuinely can’t remember most of these i think i dissociated a lil at this point if anyone remembers please add
- then read the author’s note at the end of the paper back, talking about how lockdown impacted him and was a big scary thing and also how incredible it is to see people recommend it, find it useful, have therapists recommend it etc. “it is an honour to have created this”
- took a selfie with everyone
- someone gave him a bouquet of flowers and he said “aww you guys are so gay”
- then said “if you enjoyed seeing me in person… i’ll see you again very soon”
this is everything i remember off the top of my head so people please feel free to add what i have forgotten!!
and here are all the pics i got!!

Hi I have some ideas for Valeria ( if you need something 😆)
1. Movie night with a fem reader, we know Valeria is cold and heartless but for her girlfriend...she can be a total sweetheart. Reader finally convinced Valeria to watch a cartoons with her ( I love cartoons 🙈) so they take some snacks and go watch cartoons. Unfortunately reader fall asleep after an hour and that was a moment when Valeria realized how good and safe she feels with her girlfriend
2. Valeria had a stressful day (obviously 😅) when she finished her work only thing she wanted to do was to go to sleep. She went to her bedroom but she couldn't find her girlfriend (reader) so she went to find her. Reader was in the kitchen cooking something for both of them when Valeria found her. A lot of fluff ,maybe some sexual tension who knows 😆
I have a lot if ideas and your stories are always sooo good and I think it might be interesting 😆 I hope you like it
Thank you 🖤
Reader x Valeria

Okay so, Authors note, I had taken such a long time off of writing that I had to rewatch all of the Valeria scenes to make sure I wrote the character as closely as I could get. This didn’t take long but, yea. I also went and found a laptop with a great deal so I use it just for writing and can now write whenever I want instead of having to write only on my desktop that's having some minor issues right now. I would like to apologize again for the large wait in between posts as I have a lot of things going on with my mental and physical health. I kept trying to get back into writing but every time I would I’d end up sick, at the doctor's for some reason, or just not in the mood to write. I also have been getting into other shows and games so might expand the characters and fandoms I write for. This is the 2nd prompt btw I will work on editing the first prompt draft after I post this.
Lightly edited as I wanted to post something ASAP!
She ended up taking longer than even her normal long days, finding herself up to her eyes in work and calls that had to be done soon to move her products smoothly as some unforeseen hitches had ruined her previous plans with ease. Her office was now shrouded in dark other than the two lamps she had turned on absentmindedly. Her last call was the longest and most infuriating one as luck would have it, her foul words being muttered under her breath and she slammed her phone down and left the office she found stuffy and claustrophobic after sitting in it ceaselessly.
Valeria was a busy woman, of course, often keeping her empire running wasn't a small feat. Her days weren’t the standard eight hours as most were, after your busy schedule that kept you busy for eight to nine hours of the day. After work, you often waited around for her while relaxing and walking about the endless villa she called home.
Her mind was fuzzy with stress and exhaustion as the night before was restless and short, her morning with you being cut short had made the day already negative, only making her day longer and filled with her having an even shorter fuse. She yearned for sleep, to hold you in her arms while she listened to you ramble about the simple things that kept your mind busy and happy.
The trudging steps became lighter as she got closer to your shared bedroom where she half expected you to be in bed curled up either asleep or awake pouting and waiting for her with some small comment about how long you waited for her.
Instead, when she opened the door to get ready for bed you were gone, her eyebrows pinched together and furrowed in frustration. Her thoughts were filled with endless questions and fear? She scanned the room again to see the clothes she had seen you in when you had visited her office before were thrown into the hamper hanging off of the side of it messily. With a slightly agitated huff, she began opening doors down the hall in search of you, the bathrooms were cool and the mirror wasn't fogged up meaning you weren’t there, so she headed down the stairs before a sent of warm food led her to the kitchen, her eyebrows raised as she found you wearing an oversized sweater and short thin sleeping shorts that you usually wore to bed after she bought them for you on a particularly hot day a year or so ago.
“What are you doing?” She finally spoke with a slightly playfully mocking tone, making you jump while you leaned back and forth and mouthed the lyrics of the song you were listening to in your earbuds.
“I was making us something to eat, I tried to lay down but I got snacky and bored waiting.” You said after quelling your quickened heart and letting out a small breath.
“I had calls to make and the idiots on the other side weren’t listening.” She muttered with a small hint of frustration before she moved to stand behind you, her arms wrapping around you before they moved under your hoodie so slowly that your mouth slacked and goosebumps raised on your arms and the back of your neck.
“Let's eat and head to bed.” She hummed out in your ear with a small teasing and cocky laugh.
You offered a nod and plated the food before her hand slipped into your loose shorts making you lean forward onto the counter, your stomach tensing as a gasp escaped your lips.
The food, sat on the counter cold you realized as you watched her sleeping soundly, the subtle soft snore making your lips turn up into a small smile.

hiii! it's my birthday but I'm having a really bad day. can I request a like, fanfiction where it's Valentino's teenage daughter's birthday but he forgot till it's like,an hour before it's over? thank you in advance!!
Hi friend,
First of all: Happy BELATED Birthday! All the joy and love for many, many more days to come! I’m so sorry you didn’t have the absolutely fantastical day you deserve, but I do hope this story makes today slightly brighter.
Story time before your story. I was working on another piece when I got your request- and dropped what I was doing to work on this. My brain fizzed a fizz right away- that never happens! Unfortunately, we also got hit by major storms last night- a tornado touched down a few miles from here and completely knocked the internet out. So I wrote this story as I did back in my early days of writing - offline, and on what battery I had in my laptop! But I did it- I wrote it all out on the power I had left with hopes the internet would be restored before bed. As I write this at the end of the night, knowing I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to edit and post, know I’m thinking of you and sending all the good vibes your way. I share this with you in hopes that you see that even on not the best birthday, someone cares and is so happy to celebrate another year of your life!
<3 Mandy
Valentino knew he had circled the date on his calendar for a reason, but as he sat in his office, wracking his brain he couldn’t for the life of him figure out why. He knew it was midway through the month and had to pay his dues to Angel. But that couldn’t be the only reason why the date was circled.
A knock on the door pulled his attention to his first client of the day and with reluctance, he closed his planner. He figured if the date was truly that important, it would come to him eventually. The events of the day rushed on around him and he found himself completely caught up and focused on his work.
Six filmings. And to end the day, kissing the only whore that came between him and his wife, a trail of red salvia tainted with the drugs he swore he would one day no longer be in charge of. But at the moment, he was bound by the contract. It was the second their lips touched that he felt his blood run cold, and not for the usual reason. The date. His daughter's fifteenth birthday. How the fuck had he forgotten?
“Oh, not yet big guy, I still haven’t had my fix,” Angel purred beneath as his hand pressed to the back of Valentino’s neck, pulling his face inches above his. “Of course, you could fuck me- might be faster. Get that red juice pumping.”
Valentino gritted his teeth. A younger Vaentino would have gladly done so- at Angel’s invitation or not. But that ended the day he told his wife, “I do.” and Angel knew it. Valentino bent his head down as he pressed his lips harder against Angel’s, willing the crimson liquid to drip down into the eager addict. Valentino could feel his heart racing, anger and frustration at the predicament he found himself in. He shouldn’t be here, in this position, especially not when he had such pressing family matters. He angrily shoved the palms of his hands into Angel’s shoulders as he pinned him down under the weight of his body.
“Shut the fuck up, you filthy whore,” Valentino snarled. In his anger, his hands fell to Angel’s throat as his tongue snaked its way into Angel’s mouth. Carefully, he listened for the high pitched, drug induced moan that was Angel’s tell.
The second Valentino heard that note, he dropped Angel like the worthless slut he considered him to be. Wordlessly, Valentino turned towards his office as he wiped his mouth with the sleeve of his jacket. He took a deep breath as he tried to refocus his attention on the situation outside of the studio. Behind him, Angel’s moans of ecstasy grew louder and it was all Valentino could do to tune out the sound.
Family and work. Family needed him. Work was done.
He picked up his phone and did a double take. Twenty seven missed calls from his wife. Six from Velvette. Two from Vox. And a single text from his daughter.
Hey, Dad. I know you’re busy. It’s alright that you can’t make it tonight. Mom and Uncle Vox are really mad though, so I guess just be on the lookout. I miss you, Daddy. Maybe I’ll see you later?
Somehow, her forgiveness and understanding hurt more than if she was angry with him. Fury at himself, at his job, at his life bubbled up inside and he wasn’t aware of his fist going through the wall. Fuck the rest of the day. Fuck Angel Dust. In that moment, nothing else mattered. He had to make this up to her, somehow.
Somewhere inside, Valentino knew any amount of tangibles couldn’t make up for his fuck up. But that didn’t stop him from frantically scanning over his daughter's wish list and sending every item on it to be wrapped and delivered to his upstairs office within the hour, along with cake and decorations. A post party surprise, just with family. That would be his excuse for being late- not that he thought his wife would buy it for a second, but his daughter might. And that was all that mattered.
He quickly shed his signature glasses and jacket, opting for his contacts and a more discrete jeans and black V neck. He jammed his wallet into his back pocket and checked his wife’s location. He sent her a quick text and without waiting for a response, or for the limo, Valentino swung his leg over his black and silver motorcycle and took off towards the restaurant.
To his mortification, he glanced around at the crowd. Was this supposed to be a big party? Had he forgotten that too? As quietly as he could, he parked and made his way inside the restaurant just in time to see his daughter surrounded by friends and family as she blew out the candles on the cake. Embarrassment flooded through him as he stayed behind the crowd, singing quietly along.
She should be furious with him. How did he make such a terrible mistake? How could he have possibly forgotten the day he became a father, forgotten the day that changed his life for the better? Part of him wanted to walk away, to take a deep breath and save his own face from the public shame he was sure would come when she noticed him. But he couldn’t do that. He deserved whatever she had to give him.
No sooner than the first slice was cut did his eyes meet hers. The anger he expected to receive was nowhere to be found, replaced instead by sheer joy.
“Daddy!” She yelled as she booked it across the room.
To his surprise, she jumped into his arms. He caught her and pulled her to a tight hug.
“I knew you wouldn’t forget my birthday!” She squealed. “I just knew it!”
Through the crowd, he could see his wife’s disapproving face and the livid expression on Vox and Velvette. He would have to figure out some way to explain later, but for the moment he held his daughter.
“I’m so sorry I’m late mi amore,” he said softly as he kissed her forehead. “Go. Enjoy your party. I’m here now.”
He watched as his daughter's entire expression lit up. He released her and he watched as she mingled her way back through the crowd. Behind him, he felt a familiar arm slip around his waist.
“Nice of you to show up,” his wife whispered furiously, “honestly, Valentino. Is Angel really worth this?”
Valentino swallowed back the guilt. The answer was no. But she couldn’t know the real reason why- the intimate, gritty details of the contract that bound Angel’s soul to his. For the second time that day, Valentino bit back his pride and instead, kissed his wife’s cheek.
“You have every right to be mad. But I…I threw together a surprise for our daughter. Hopefully she…”
“As long as she ends this night overjoyed,” Valentino’s wife replied with a grumble. “But you always have been good at covering your tracks.”
She didn’t even know half of it.
An hour later, his daughter perched on the back of his motorcycle where his wife once sat, and a grand entrance later, reader sat amongst the presents and balloons that cluttered Valentino’s office, nibbling on her second cake of the evening.
“Daddy, I really thought you forgot about me- I’m sorry I ever thought that,” reader said as she wrapped her arms around him.
Valentino could feel all three sets of angry eyes on him as he wrapped his daughter back in a hug.
“Bebita, I’m sorry for ever making you feel that way. I love you, you are the most important thing in my life. Next to your mom, of course,” he replied. He planted a kiss on her forehead and smoothed back her hair. “Happy birthday, baby.”
“I don’t mean to be a party pooper, but someone has a big day tomorrow,” Vox said as he collected the dirty paper plates. “That is, if you’re still planning on playing in the game and not playing hooky like I suggested.”
“No way Uncle Vox, my team needs me!” Reader exclaimed as she wrapped her arms around him. “Love you, goodnight.”
Valentino was the last to bid her goodnight. She wrapped her arms around him and squeezed as hard as she could.
“You’re coming to my game tomorrow, right Daddy?” She asked.
Valentino could hear the hope in her voice, see it in those bright blue eyes of hers. Flashes of work, of his schedule burst into his mind. He could see her expression start to fade in the heartbeat of silence.
“Of course baby, I wouldn’t miss it for the world. And we can go out after for lunch to celebrate- make up for my tardiness to your party.” He replied quickly.
“That sounds amazing! You’re the best, Daddy!” She said excited as she gave him a final tight hug.
Of that, Valentino wasn’t so sure. He watched as his entire world walked down the hallway towards her bedroom. As soon as he heard the door close, he turned to the other three.
“Guys, I…”
“Save it, Val,” Velvette replied with an eye roll. “No excuses. You fucked up. Big time. You better not fuck up again tomorrow.”
“You’re really lucky she brought your little story,” Vox added. “And that we covered for you. And really, it was only for her sake that we did.”
His wife didn’t say anything. Instead, he watched as she silently left the room. He followed after her. Vox and Velvette he could talk to later, right now he needed his wife.
“Do you think she knew?” Valentino asked the second they were behind their bedroom doors. “Honey, I’m so sorry.”
To his dismay, she shrugged. “Val, she’s getting older. It’s only going to get harder and harder to keep what you do behind those doors a secret.” She pulled a pajama shirt over her head and climbed into their bed.
Valentino joined her and in a few moments, she shifted her body closer. He exhaled a silent thank you as he held her tight to his chest. He closed his eyes and felt her thumb brush against the corner of his mouth, no doubt wiping away an invisible speck of red poison.
“Valentino, it's not just her you’re going to have to talk to. You’re going to have to tell me the full story about Angel Dust at some point. This whole thing, it’s getting in the way of our family more than it ever has in the past,” she said softly as she wrapped her arms around his neck. “You’ve never let work interfere with your family before. Why now is that suddenly changing? Missed games, you missed her final recital. And now you almost missed her birthday. Where are you going to draw the line?”
He felt the weight of her head on his chest and felt the bitterness of guilt rise in his throat. How would she ever understand the mistakes he made? The deal he trapped both himself and Angel in? The cruelty he inflicted? Who he was outside of their home? She knew, of course, his line of work. But she didn’t know the details, and the last thing he wanted was for her to discover the entirety of that part of him.
“I’m sorry,” he finally replied softly. “I’ll try to do better. I promise.”
“You need to,” his wife replied firmly. “For our daughters sake.” She closed her eyes, “And you can start by showing up at her game tomorrow, like you promised.”

Hi! I have something to share that you might enjoy! (Staying anonymous because I really only lurk on tumblr these days but if there's demand I'll make a sideblog for any discussion. Bear with me here...) Your posts and discussion on Freak Fortress inspired me to dust off an old design document I wrote over the course of months back in 2020, imagining MUCH OF the Freak Fortress roster as MOBA heroes (so games like DOTA 2 or League). I gave it a pass to fix some years old typos and clean up the formatting. It uses pageless view on google docs and a lot of tables so I recommend viewing it on a pc/laptop/anything bigger than a phone. It includes 54 fully designed "heroes", 61 items, and 19 special creeps which can be captured and will fight alongside your team (like 'Heroes of the Storm' for anyone who knows that game). It's not enough to make a full game off of, as there's no levelling system, nor map design, or anything for an economy, and some of them are probably overtuned, but if you like Freak Fortress and have a passing concept of how a MOBA plays, I think you'll enjoy it. I've never shared it with anyone before because TF2 Freaks as a thing to enjoy are pretty niche, but I like to think someone following this blog will enjoy it.
(The link just goes to a google doc, and I moved it to a dummy drive account to preserve my own anonymity/not dox myself) They're all very top-down design wise, trying to keep the flavor of the freak while making them work for a lanecrawler, and I pulled much of my information on them from the TF2 Freakshow wiki.
Some freaks I'm really proud of design wise include Cave Heavy, Dream Demoman, and Commander Private. Please enjoy and lemme know what you think! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1p1CIQbSDowTr24YEUcsgVN8UEoAWqB_Nj3Nov2ESSKQ/edit?usp=sharing
i'm only four pages in, but this is utter fucking genius. i would genuinally pay to see this made into a real thing, even if it probably wouldn't(i am NOT gonna be the cause of the next tumblr kickstarter scam), but still! i'll read the rest later, but i highly encourage anyone who is a freak fortress fan or has any passing knowledge of it to check this shit out! the good shit!

tagged by @iamfandomcrazy hii i love all ur fics >< Rules: Post the names of all the files in your WIP folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous. Let people send you an ask with the title that most intrigues them, and then post a little snippet or tell them something about it! Then tag as many people as you have WIPs. WARNING: THERE MIGHT BE SMUTT YOU WOULDN'T WANT TO CAST YOUR EYES ON. --- just know that most of these are intrusive thoughts or the product of my spiraled madness, and short ideas. i won't be putting unfinished but posted fics since that would take too long. here it goes
*Visions; - a wyler fic where wednesday was freshly expelled from her former high school and started to have small and useless visions (its safe to assume its about Tyler, she mostly sees snippets of events)
Wulfric Thursday - a fic about wyler's son, he's the first child (that i most prob post on ao3 once Hyde The Past is done since the two are connected, i think i actually need someone with me to think of ideas and be crazy together its a little too much to take, a wide universe. There are 3 current chapters.)
Valentina Francoise - a fic about wyler's daughter, the younger sister (wont say much but she's the best and worst combination of her parents. there's only one chapter and its mostly notes.)
Girl Next Door - this fic was either tyler would be the new kid who moved into town or it was Wednesday. it was hard to decide but i think i settled with Wednesday. I don't know if this would come to life though, wish me luck. there are no chapters. yet.)
wyler tyler has a twin gemini - yep. the title speaks for itself lol. ( i wanted to do something like migi and dali or ayesha's secret, if you know the anime or manga, well you know *wink *wink)
wyler - sunflower - a fic where Tyler dies or it has an alternative story where he faked his death and goes to live in the Addams manor. God i was such in an angsty mood i wanted someone to die with me, and of course its my favorite white boy to write about)
Tyler Galpin - just a compilation of songs i was thinking of editing Tyler in.
Wyler PROMPT - just an unfinished prompt from a dc prompt where Tyler is Fran's and Vincent's son.
Wyler spies AU - again the title speaks for itself lol.
WYLER ITS OK NOT TO BE OK - if you know the kdrama then nice, but if you don't its basically Tyler would be a psych ward nurse or something like that and Wednesday is a children's book writer that sometimes visit hospitals to read her book.
HYDE THE PAST TYLER BOOTCAMP - my heart cries fir this fic. title speaks for itself. suppose to be a filler chapter.
WYLER DRABBLE - alice in the wonderland fic. its just an idea wont prob make the cut.
Wyler hays - just wyler smutt ><
Longing For draft - just a short fic where Tyler followed Wednesday to her house.
Wednesday Addams as Song Lyrics - songs id edit her with. --- These are just what's saved in my laptop. here's what's in my phone. i don't mind if you don't read this one lol.
wyler (1) - wednesday pospartum with her son.
Liar, liar - Tyler teasing Wednesday.
wyler (2) - Wednesday spit on Tyler's face and he uses it as lube.
wyler gender swap - there's one chapter.
its not always rainbows and butterflies - a short fic where Tyler attends nevermore and learning how to control the Hyde but in Wednesday's pov.
This is shit - wednesday denying her feelings for Tyler.
wyler (3) - Tyler has full control of his Hyde and pretends to be nice but Wednesday sees through him.
wyler (4) - (just wrote this 2am earlier lol) wednesday goes to yoga and mourns Kitty's death, has a mental breakdown while Tyler consoles her. SORRY THAT WAS LONGER THAN I THOUGHT. tagging @writerrose1998 @broken-everlark @nonamemanga @cosmic-lullaby @callmetippytumbles @tastethesetears @lovepoison9 @nouklea @diamantdog @lady-murderess @therulerofallpotatos

A/N: HEEEEY YOU GUYSSSSSS, I POPPED THESE HEADCANONS OUT OF NOWHWEREEEE. I KNOW ITS BEEN A WHILE, DONT COME FOR ME JUST READ AND TELL ME HOW MUCH YOU LIKE IT LOL🤎✨️✨️✨️ I will say tho I wrote this from my phone because like the goofy I am, I spilled water on my laptop and gotta get it replaced🤭 So any edits I need to make will be in the near future🤎 Also Ironically I'm posting this 4:44PM☺️
Toji with Yoga!Girlfriend
SFW
He's learned what it means to be calm. You would meditate around him and at first he would always want to break your focus but afterward he'd sit with you and just breathe. He found it extremely calming when a rush of anger would wash over him.
He's in awe at the many Yoga Poses you can do and how focused you are when executing them. He's worked hard to bulk up his body but he can't say that he's as balanced as you. Which is why he has so much respect for you too.
Let's be real, you're over here talking about the healing power of crystals and he does not believe in none of that shit. It takes for him to have an out-of-the-blue migraine to do your "mumbo jumbo shit" on him and he might only admit that for a second, it worked. But he believes just laying in your lap is what did the trick.
You smell so fucking nice. You're the type to use essential oils more than perfume and it shows. Any scent that you're using that day is stuck to you and becomes your natural scent. One that's so pleasant it keeps Toji in your space more than usual.
You're highly intentional with your actions and he can sense it. You have this layer of love, honesty, and devotion that keeps him on his toes. It's hard to make him breathless but you're such a wonderful woman that he looks to you for comfort in more than just the sexual sense. You've proven to be a great pillar in his life and he's smitten by you based on how you're so open to loving him and in return, he provides the love and protection you desire. In his way, he'll cheerily thank a star for aligning you "or some shit" together. You give him a level of stability he's never seen or had in a very long time.
NSFW
Now this man has spun the block a couple of times but damn would he feel like there are way too many new experiences with you.
This man did not know what Kegels were until you showed him on one particular rainy day. This was closer to the beginning of your relationship and you would say, "Hey Babe, let's try something new" You're ideas usually come out more good than bad so he doesn't deny you. The first time you tighten yourself around him, the face he makes is voided of all smugness, it's a culmination of shock and humor. "Fuck, Treasure... How are you doing that????" His brows furrow too tight as he comprehends real "Pussy Power". Let's just say thunderstorms weren't the only thing to erupt.
The massages you give this man always lead him to visit heaven. You touch him in ways that he thought were just simple and had no other meaning than its initial reaction. Every graze from your fingertips stimulates his mind further than what he's expected to feel. His stiffy gets all twitchy, and the usual tense and ready-to-defend muscles relax. He instantly exhales when touched by you. Your hands are so skilled, you gently graze over all the sensitive spots he has and treat them with delicate consideration heightening his experience. The way your fingers caress the tip of his manhood trailing down the shaft, with a gentle kneading of his swollen, ready-to-burst balls is enough to get the most intense guttural groans ever known out of him.
You create such sensual atmospheres for him that he's taken aback. Incense or aroma diffusers, slow jams playing at a low volume in the back, you bought these twinkling lights for a dreamy effect, and after a while they leave him charmed to say the least.
This goes without saying but he loves to watch you stretch. It's a reminder of the limits he can set on your body since you prep every day. He's eager to see which way you'll bend for him just to get to that right spot. Arch perfectly sloped, HAMMERTIME. Sucking him off while doing a bridge, how many kids you want? Or something as simple as tucking your legs behind your head? You're in trouble for the rest of the night!
The worst of it all is you introducing him to Kamasutra... You told him you want to do every position. No matter how weird or uncomfortable it might be and man, you wore this man out one night in particular. It's the first time during sex that he's ever tapped out and you paid for it in the next sex session lol

omg chat why is writing kinda hard???
ok so this is a bit of an aside (warning: this post is long) but @348kg and i talked about this and honestly writing fanfics is a way for us to express ourselves creatively while using our idols as inspo for our work. and it’s fun most of the time.. but like honestly, 70-80% of the time, writing is hard. it’s not easy, like… it’s actually quite hard work.
and i know everyone has seen posts of like “pls reblog instead of just silently reading” or “pls like at least to show your appreciation” etc etc etc and ur probs sick of hearing it but like, it’s so true???
writing is honestly hard. and for most of us fanfic writers.. im sure you know but we have lives outside of our blogs. we are students, or we work normal jobs, we have life responsibilities, we have problems to deal with, and yet somewhere in between our busy lives we manage to find the time to sit down and create these pieces of writing for you, the reader, to read.
and tbh, i don’t really know where im going with this? i just want to let you know this: a typical 1-2k words one-shot probably takes me around 2-3 hours to write (on average, on a good day - sometimes longer or shorter). but it takes you maybe 10-15 mins, at most 30 mins to read depending on your reading speed. isn’t the time gap a little wild 🫠 on a typical work day, i get home from work at about 6, i cook myself dinner and eat, i shower and clean up, and if i know im writing that night, i make sure to clear my schedule (ie no overtime, no phone calls to friends or parents etc) and i sit on my laptop and write from about 10ish to about midnight. then i pause and i edit, and set things up to get ready post (think: pictures, title, word count, writing the warnings, summary, doing the tags) and by the time i post, it’s probably 1am.
i breathe a sigh of relief because it feels good! it feels really good to release my labour of love (literally) out into the world. and honestly, you know who you are, but those of you who constantly read and reblog my work, i see u!! (Alexa play i see u by p1harmony) and those who leave comments or reviews in the tags, i also see u (that’s why i like to reblog and respond to your tags too)!! it honestly brings me so much joy when someone comes and talks to me about something i wrote and how it made them feel. or even when someone recommends a fic i wrote. all these things that are so little and take so little of your time actually mean so much to me and im sure other writers as well.
and so i guess what im trying to say to everyone is: if you are a fic reader, if you read any fics, i just want you to know that the fic you loved reading took the writer a lot of resources to write (brain power, creativity and importantly time). i hope this gives u an insight into the process of a writer/writing a fic because im hoping it might help with whether or not you decide to hit that like or reblog or comment button in the near future!!
(also, i think it’s a shame that as writers sometimes we have to compromise on what we actually want to write vs what to write to get more engagement, likes, rbs etc. personally i have been writing on tumblr since 2020 on and off so ive been on here for four years now and i have a good sense of what is a good formula for a “successful” fic - usually it’s smut, usually it’s for the most popular member in terms of fic reading, and usually it’s of a certain length posted around a certain time etc etc. but i guess i don’t rly care anymore bc im a kinda old tumblr writer who isn’t bothered about the notes as much as i am just grateful for the little comments people send me saying that what i wrote made them feel seen or resonated with them. cos i think that is priceless 🥹)
PS. in no way am i complaining about the engagement or lack thereof that i personally get, nor am i complaining about the mere fact that writing is hard bc yes i am aware that i wanted to write in the first place and so it was my decision haha

Writing Interview Tag Game!
Thank you so much @klynnvakarian for the tag!
About Me:
When did you start writing?
I've written academic stuff for years, but I didn't start writing fiction until I was ...37 ?!? I didn't think I had it in me but now it's just flooding out.
Are there different genres or themes you enjoy reading other than the ones you write?
Yes indeed. I honestly love a good dose of dead dove and tension in general, but my god I cannot write it for the life of me. I try and I just can't write truly horrific psychological or physical things. Some of my fics have skirted the edges, but that's the best I can do. I leave that to amazing writers like @bad-surprise who wrote one of my favorite ever fics, the complex "the shark in your water" and vuas whose fics are just scrumptiously disturbing or @thecoziestbean with "meet me at the edge" with its tense atmosphere.
Is there an author you want to emulate, or are compared to often?
I would love to emulate Robin McKinley whose intimacy and description and interiority really influenced me growing up. I don't think I'm there yet, but I like to experiment with fic style, so maybe someday.
Can you tell me a bit about your writing space?
I love to write anywhere and everywhere in my house and outside at work. I write and edit both on my phone on the Dabble writing platform (which I highly recommend) and on my laptop since seeing the words in different layouts helps me catch things I might have missed.
What’s your most effective way to muster up a muse?
Gotta be music. I put on a single track for an hour or two (or three) and get plunged into a state with all that repetition that lets me be incredibly focused. Hozier is so good for that as well as boygenius, Florence + the Machine, and Taylor Swift for me. Poor Mr. Mezzo, basically. I run songs into the ground!
Are there any reoccurring themes in your writing? If so do they surprise you?
I don't think I have enough self-awareness to pick them out myself haha although I do have to watch out for phrases I tend to repeat like "no small amount of X" or things like that. I also lean into smut. A lot. Maybe too much? Maybe just right? Who can say.
Characters:
Would you please tell me about your current favorite character?
I love writing Elrond. I never expected it, but he's such a canny character that I'm really enjoying my current chapter of my Rings of Power canon fic now that he's turned up to have battles of words with Sauron.
Which of your characters would you be friends with in real life?
Arondir and Bronwyn would be my besties, I think.
Which characters would you dislike the most if you met them?
I don't honestly know! Probably the way I've written Galadriel's mother Eärwen in past fics. I worked out a lot of parental traumas in those where she's just... awful.
Do you notice any reoccurring themes/traits in your characters?
My main characters never look where they leap in my fics. Sometimes that's because they're brave and sometimes that's because they run headlong "like a colt in full gallop" in Galadriel's case ;) I also can't stay away from Enemiese to Lovers. Ever.
How do you picture your characters?
I can visualize clothes and physical traits and thought patterns in my characters more than facial features. There's just vague actor-ish facial features, but mostly just hair color to distinguish them.
My Writing:
What’s your reason for writing?
I've always loved to fall into different worlds with reading. It's not so different with writing. There's a real joy in stepping out of my own life to have adventures and grand love affairs.
Is there any specific comment or type of comment from readers that you find particularly motivating?
I love getting the phrase "Second kudos" and just a string of hearts. It always makes me smile. Long comments deconstructing and analyzing what happens are lovely too, of course. Comments are wonderful, but they also don't motivate me as much as the sheer love of seeing characters talk to each other in my head in some ways, though.
How do you want to be thought about by your readers?
I'd love to be an escape outlet for my readers as much as my fellow writer friends are to me and all the other reading I do.
What do you feel is your greatest strength as a writer?
I think it's (maybe) the stubbornness in coming back to writing every time I fall off the horse and feel like I'll never write again when it's been a week or two. I know so many of us writers feel that feeling.
Have you been told what is your greatest strength as a writer is by others?
I'm not sure, and I should keep track with gathering up kind comments to go back to look at, but maybe smut? lol. Or modern AU cute vibes in my farmers market and musician fics. My beloved Mr. Mezzo read one of my fics recently for the first time and said "It was like I could hear you reading it to me" so maybe a storytelling quality.
How do you feel about your own writing?
I am always pleasantly surprised when I go back and reread my own work. Even back in the beginning, I had tones of voice for characters that were what I wanted to get across.
When you write are you influenced by what others might enjoy reading, do you write purely for yourself, or is it a mix of both?
Not really influenced by others except when I'm feeling unsure like when I started Across That Fine Line and felt insecure about lore and such. I took requests in some ways then, although it turned out alright in the end and I don't do that as much now with letting reader comments shape things. Still, @stitchingatthecircuitboard made a comment on that fic recently and it changed the vibe of a few chapters a Ton, so maybe I'm a liar haha. But seriously, sometimes readers wondering where it will go can spark a new idea, and that's lovely.
Thanks again for the tag @klynnvakarian and I'm going to tag @thecoziestbean, @bad-surprise, @stitchingatthecircuitboard, @softlighter, and @thrillofhope because I would love to hear your thoughts on writing. No pressure at all, though, since writing is such an intimate act!

Hi i just wanted to say first of all that you're one of the authors i most admire - and i don't mean just with fics/fandom, i mean in general. You're genuinely one of the best authors i've ever read, and you've been such a big inspiration to me personally, so thank you for being so lovely and sharing such beautiful works with the world <3
I did actually have a question! Do you have any advice about dealing with writer's block or feeling unmotivated to write? I wrote so much in the past year and now i feel like i've hit a wall, and it's made me kind of sad? Like i wake up every day and want to write, but i just can't get it to work like i used to. I didn't know if you maybe had any advice on it or anything that's helped you in the past, but i figured it wouldn't hurt to try and ask!
Again, thank you for sharing your beautiful writing with the world - i'm grateful for it every day. I hope everything is going well with you <3
Hello! I have been mulling over your question for a while, so I hope you'll forgive my delay in responding to you. Thank you sincerely for your compliments; it is seriously humbling to think that my writing has had that kind of impact. Thank you.
The thing about writer's block is that we all have it. I often go through huge waves of inspiration and activity where I can write intensely. But that is also followed by periods where it literally feels like a physical wall is blocking me off from any creativity or motivation. I really feel you. I only recently crawled out of that hole.
I don't think there is a one-size-fits-all answer, to be honest. What does help me is shifting focus to something else. For example, when I recently had writer's block I simply accepted it and indulged in watching some shows that I hadn't seen before (HBO's Perry Mason). I found that surprisingly inspiring, and what do you know, I have an idea for a fic and I've banged out close to 10k. That flowed onto another fic (not ST) that I'm working on. And now I'm back in my groove.
Sometimes I think it's about removing yourself from whatever you know you want to write. It's easy to get down on yourself and focus on the negative components: that you're lazy, or not good enough, or that you should just 'get over it'. Writing is tremendously difficult. It takes creative space and freedom and patience. These things cannot be summoned. But you can make those spaces for yourself.
I try to be intentional in how I use my creative energy, and I also restrict it. That might sound counter-intuitive, but I swear that it works. I will indulge my writing for a few hours before I make myself stop. I close the document and log out. The next day, I'm ready to go; I've been simmering for hours, I have so many ideas, I have to write! It's about stretching out that creative energy instead of depleting it so much that you need to recover, and then, before you know it, it's been months since you've written anything.
I also find that being accountable to someone else helps. I have a very, very dear friend who indulges me and will read all of my work, even if it's shit or not thought out. She is the best cheerleader. Sometimes you just need to know that someone will actually read whatever it is you're thinking of. They don't have to critique; they just have to read. Being able to promise another chapter to them does help with motivation.
I would also suggest carving out time for writing, and potentially putting a time restriction on it. Say you come home from a long day at work, and all you want is to eat dinner and relax and go to bed. Try and add writing in there too. Eat dinner, then get comfy and open your laptop/phone. Challenge yourself to write at least a paragraph. When you get going, stop yourself. Close your device. Put on some TV. Go to bed. Restrict the flow - then rinse and repeat. See if you can write more the next evening, and the next, and the next. And most importantly: do not read what you have written. Just keep going. Resist the urge to edit as you go. If you're insecure about your writing, editing is the death sentence, because it is the voice in the back of your head that tells you this will never be good enough, so why even try? Shut that voice up by pushing and pushing until you have 1k, 2k, then allow yourself to read and edit. Trust me, that voice is WRONG and the only way to overcome it is to learn how to manage it.
Another thing I would suggest is working on another project. Try writing some short piece unrelated to your current WIP. Some 500 words of pure chaos. Tidy it up. Publish it. Keep doing that. Keep putting work out there, just to have it in the universe. If you keep your writing in your head, you will not have enough space to write. Get it out!!! Free up your creative energy! Keep going!
The fact that you have had this momentum before is amazing. It sounds like you might be a little tired or creatively burned out. Try what I've suggested and see what happens. I'm also always down to chat about these processes, so feel free to IM me. You've got this.

17 for the fic writer meme?
17. talk about your writing and editing process
Alright so I am kind of embarrassed about this tbh.
It's not like a big deal or anything, y'know, it's just like. For writing, I tend to just get really lost in the sauce of whatever idea I have in that moment. This might result in large chunks of scenes for stuff that doesn't exist yet, or just some vague notes of things I would like to happen if I wrote a thing, sometimes entire timelines for aus and whatnot you know. If I'm feeling delirious about it I might just draw instead and that's not writing but you know, these things happen.
If it's an existing work, I usually have like, a list of things in my head I want to happen by the end of a chapter, but I will let it meander as much as it needs to before I get to the end, because instead of killing my darlings, i largely let them roam free haha
since don't tend to write in a particularly linear way, either, my chapter files are a fucking mess hahaha They're all out of order, I'll have chapters halfway done months or even a year before I can post them, and not be done with anything in between.
Individually, it'll often be like: finished section, few lines of a pesterlog, supposedly finished section, something I still need to write, partially finished section, complete pesterlog, something I still need to write, finished section, probably hopeful ending (but who knows!! not me!!)
if I feel like I'm having a hard time focusing on what the characters are doing in the scene, that is when I'll straight up start doing just dialogue in large sections (i really love writing dialogue, even if I do it goofy style), and then add in the movements and background of the scene later. I like a good flow to a conversation, even if it's like, awkward and stilted, so if I have too much blocking of characters going on while also actively trying to construct a conversation, my brain goes "actually no fuck that toss the body language for now, let the fools talk" which usually works in my favor c:
My editing process is a nightmare. Since I write on my phone, I will just continue to do that until I reach the end of the draft, and then I will be like, okay I am done with the draft. Time to load up googly docs and Sprinto the robot and completely retype the whole thing on my laptop, for however long that takes me. Hours, if needed. This is usually where my typos show up lol I'm a fast typer but I don't look at my keys and you know, stuff happens. This also usually ends up being the phase where I accidentally add 1-2k extra words; going over it sometimes helps me realize there are things that need clarifying, or I'll feel like "this moment could have gone on longer" and I'll add way too much to a pesterlog, you know how it is.
And I know, okay, that editing is supposed to cut things, and I know that my chapters are already too long but!!! it's for fun!! it's fine!!! I'm fine!!! I do not have a beta, due to my crippling shyness, despite how much I will ramble, if you poke me even a little. It really is just "batter up, hope this reads" and off it goes hahaha
I'm so sorry I hope this says anything I don't expect anyone to read that.

RAPS + CRAFTS #15: Duncecap
Tumblr media
1. Introduce yourself. Past projects? Current projects?
Hey, I’m Duncecap. I've been writing and producing hip hop music since I was 15. I've also been shooting and editing videos since I was a kid.
You may have heard some of my projects released via Backwoodz Studioz (miserable then, Go Climb a Tree). You may also know me from crazy performances in NYC with the group we are the karma kids. Some of my albums from that time are Human Error and Rapping is for Idiots.
In terms of upcoming music - exciting new stuff is coming! One forthcoming album is chiefly self-produced, one of them produced entirely by Steel Tipped Dove.
Also I have a “secret” side project - experimental ambient music under the name Depression Naps. That will probably come out this year. I need to figure the release out ASAP though.
2. Where do you write? Do you have a routine time you write? Do you discipline yourself, or just let the words come when they will? Do you typically write on a daily basis?
I usually write on the move; I’m listening to music, I have thoughts, and need something to do - it goes together perfectly. I write on walks, taking the subway, in a car. Physically moving is definitely not a rule though. I also write while procrastinating at home on the couch, or sitting with a coffee outside, in a diner is fun, etc.
No routine time per se - I’m ready to write on a moment's notice and usually do it that way randomly throughout the day, every day.
3. What’s your medium—pen and paper, laptop, on your phone? Or do you compose a verse in your head and keep it there until it’s time to record?
I used to write in a pocket-sized notebook all the time. Writing on paper really sets some immediate boundaries with space and even the speed which you can physically write. Lyrics get crossed out then circled or rewritten and crossed out again. Sometimes you can’t read what you wrote.
Now I write on my phone. It’s faster, more legible, and with infinite space - but it’s easier to get carried away with overwriting. I’ll drop anything to write an idea down. I’m somewhat of a compulsive idea hoarder, I don’t want to let a good idea pass.
I would love to be able to be the type of person that could fully write songs in my head but I got a lot of other things going on in there too and I get distracted easily. Freestyling is fun but I’m gonna need to write down anything I want to remember.
4. Do you write in bars, or is it more disorganized than that?
For most of my life I would write bars in long sentences, but in the past couple years I’ve noticed I’ve been breaking up my lines into halves or down to single words rather than bars. I call it my 'poetic style' on account of how it looks on the page but also how my delivery changes when I write this way. It helps me get more granular conceptually and with the rhymes too. I enjoy the end result and my voicing in that style. Projects I’ve written in this way are Genuinely Sad Songs and miserable then and the new stuff.
Writing can get pretty disorganized regardless of medium too, but I try to run a tight ship. Disorganized writing in a digital space might look like several versions of the same lyrics doc or alternative lyrics in the same space as the original one.
5. How long into writing a verse or a song do you know it’s not working out the way you had in mind? Do you trash the material forever, or do you keep the discarded material to be reworked later?
Depends on the strength of the original writing, the context, and how much time I want to spend editing it.
Sometimes it’s 4 bars in or less I might know. Sometimes, there’s one line in an otherwise great verse that I’m unsure about and everything past that one line feels off. Sometimes I write a whole verse and return to it thinking, “Maybe this isn’t the angle.”
Digitally, I never throw anything away. At this point I’ve embraced it, although it does weigh me down a little bit. I would love to cull the “good stuff” and start fresh in my notes app, but at this point it might take longer than it’s worth.
Occasionally, a verse gets lost in the ether or I cut a song and I can reuse the verse elsewhere or break it down for parts. Most of the time what I write is tailored to a special concept or nuanced emotional expression. It gets tricky to go back and plug old writing into those pieces and I tend to start over in that case.
That isn’t to say that I don’t find old verses I can match up to new songs - but it doesn’t always feel good. It shouldn’t matter honestly, but something in me says: start fresh.
Though looking through searchable results in my notes app can jog my brain and get the gears turning - it’s like a mood board but with elements I created.
6. Have you engaged with any other type of writing, whether presently or in the past? Fiction? Poetry? Playwriting? If so, how has that mode influenced your songwriting?
Poetry - yes. It very much influences it. This is where my writing started as a pre-teen and I still write poetry and infuse it into my music.
Screenwriting - yes (I want to write more scripts).
Fiction - as a child I did write stories pretty frequently and had a bunch of little one page stories with cover art and stuff. The last long form narrative prose I wrote was a kind of memoir in college while locked out of my dorm. I wrote it all on a Blackberry phone.
I journal too when things are rough and want to reexamine something I know I will want to reflect on in my life. A lot of times in the moment I’m experiencing it, most likely in a way to detach.
I’m trying to think how these different mediums might specifically affect my songwriting. Poetry and journaling, for sure. The only thing I can think about for screenwriting is sometimes I will write dialogue in my songs but I don’t really clarify it as such. It’s more like internal dialogue. Sometimes I dub or adlib those lines if it’s crucial to communicate that it's another character besides mine in a song. Those moments of pseudo dialogue reminds me of the flow you can enter when writing a scene in screenwriting software - so maybe that's the link.
7. How much editing do you do after initially writing a verse/song? Do you labor over verses, working on them over a long period of time, or do you start and finish a piece in a quick burst?
For me, it matters the song I’m writing.
Sometimes I will write a verse about literally where I’m writing or I will write a song as a way to work myself through an emotional event. These kinds of writings I try to preserve for the integrity of that moment in time and where I was physically and/or emotionally.
For more pre-conceived and intentional concepts I will painstakingly edit them until they feel right. “Did I structure this in the most elegant way possible?” “Am I communicating the concept clearly and cleverly?” Etc.
Those same kinds of quality controlling conditions happen regardless of how I’m writing, but there’s a bit more forgiveness in favor of earnestness when I get more personal on tracks.
8. Do you write to a beat, or do you adjust and tweak lyrics to fit a beat?
Both, it depends on the situation and how I’m feeling.
A lot of stuff on miserable then was written as poetry first and then fit to beats. Same goes for the Genuinely Sad Songs EP. I would also record freestyles to those beats and then decode the nonsense lyrics and tones or use the rhyme patterns I established.
Most other times I would say that I write to the beat while taking some breaks listening so it doesn’t get too repetitive.
9. What dictates the direction of your lyrics? Are you led by an idea or topic you have in mind beforehand? Is it stream-of-consciousness? Is what you come up with determined by the constraint of the rhymes?
Many times I write to sort myself out, so it’s stream of consciousness while I’m overanalyzing the very stream of consciousness I’m writing. This is where I get more introspective on songs. I’ll be led by trying to find an “answer” to what I’m feeling while making it structured and rhyme.
Sometimes I look around the notes app for thought starters and when navigating that labyrinth I’ll be reminded of concepts I meant to write about later. I'll match up themes to new production to see if I can make my life a little easier if a theme or lyric doesn’t come to mind inherently for a song. This ends up being very satisfying since the piece ends up being planned out a bit more but with minimal effort.
Rhyming does force some rules on your writing but you get used to navigating that. I wouldn’t say that rhyming would constrain a song from being made but it does make creating a song more of a puzzle - which is a lot of the fun.
10. Do you like to experiment with different forms and rhyme schemes, or do you keep your bars free and flexible?
I like to experiment with rhyming. I get bored with keeping the same rhyme scheme for a whole verse while other times it’s the thing that drives me. When you have the same scheme for a whole verse you get to play with the audience's expectations. If you're rhyming and the person you're with finishes the line for you - for me, it can be a sign that you're too predictable of a rhymer.  But if you want to be optimistic, you can see that as a sign that you are a good songwriter. It really depends on what you are trying to accomplish at the time.
Sometimes rhyming doesn’t cross my mind at all and other times I’m trying to rhyme each word in a sentence to its parallel word in the subsequent line. Other times my lyrics are more melody driven and that takes a burden off of rhyme all together, or at least modifies expectation.
I have always been fascinated by rhyme and its predictability. I love hearing wild tongue twisters that I still can’t guess the ending rhymes for. Rhyming is such a unique tool that you can subvert expectations very easily with. I find myself using an A B A B rhyme pattern pretty frequently. It’s a nice way to balance the “shock value” of non-rhyming but also getting rewarded with a rhyme. It’s also a good fall back if you are freestyling and forget to rhyme.
11. What’s a verse you’re particularly proud of, one where you met the vision for what you desire to do with your lyrics?
Here’s a couple songs where the concepts were pre-determined and I’m proud of how the final product met that initial vision:
“Under the Hood” (feat. Fielded) || Go Climb a Tree
I had the title and knew I wanted to write about how things in life are many times antagonistically assembled or precariously produced - and then presented as clean, polished or well-thought out products. And how fragile it all is even after it’s released.
“Well oiled machine in the shippiest shape, / One domino is all the difference it takes.”
“Definitely” (feat. E L U C I D & Quelle Chris) || Rapping is for Idiots
I asked them to write as busy/unreachable rappers and I was supposed to be the desperate collaborator. Everybody nailed it and the video came out great as well. It’s extra gratifying to piece together a concept track with multiple folks on a record.
In terms of one verse to point to -  there’s this verse I’m especially proud of from this upcoming Dove album. It hits hard but is also very on-point conceptually. It’s an example of one of those titles or concepts I’ve had floating around in my notes app for years and then it finally fell into place when I heard the right beat at the right time. The song is about the over-abundance of, well, everything and how overwhelming life can be in the current zeitgeist.
12. Can you pick a favorite bar of yours and describe the genesis of it?
I always used to have this question answered but the answer would change every year or so when I wrote a new project. I use writing as a means of self-discovery and the growth is never over. I don't think it'll ever be easy for me to settle on a favorite lyric because as soon as one is out of my system, I potentially don't relate to it anymore if it’s married to a specific emotional incident. Instead I go, “Oh, yeah I did a good job explaining how I felt at the time,” but it doesn’t feel as electric anymore to me in the present.
Despite that, I’ll answer the question. Here are some old standouts, I wouldn’t say I have a favorite though:
“Being self aware is not the same as trying to do something [about it]” (Bad Breath [’Toid Up])
The genesis being to have a way to remind myself and others that just because you know you are a little fucked up doesn’t mean you are actually being productive or healthy about it. Worst-case scenario it’s a negligible position to be enabling yourself but with a false sense of security.
The song “Rocks in Your Shoes” is mostly a free-write but has bars I’m proud of that satisfy both an introspective/punchy appetite:
“I talk like a parrot with a TV in the room”
“I like the way my mouth dances when I spit a tune, / My bars are choreography for my lips to move”
I dunno!
13. Do you feel strongly one way or another about punch-ins? Will you whittle a bar down in order to account for breath control, or are you comfortable punching-in so you don’t have to sacrifice any words?
Do I whittle a bar down for breath control? Yes. That usually comes in the initial writing phase but doesn’t stop there.
A lot of people, including myself, will practice their flows under their breath if they are in public or a room full of people. It’s a little odd to go full volume in those situations. Personally, I’ve found that practicing quietly like that can be misleading when it comes time to record.
Recording a demo is important. Most of the time I will face the reality of my breath control in these recordings then listen back and whittle down some more or change phrasings. Or I learn I hate a lyric the instant I’m forced to say it out loud or in front of people. The actual recording after the demo is always much more confident and polished. I either try to demo first or perform it live first before I record. Sometimes you write the verse and immediately record and land the first take, punching those always feels sacrilegious but you gotta do what you gotta do.
I usually try to deliver verses in one take when I record. In my head, if you are planning to perform your material live anyway, it makes sense to learn it as you will perform it live.
That being said - sometimes stylistically you might want to punch a lot or the take was perfect except for one moment. I’m more than happy to punch in those instances. I used to be more stubborn about not punching-in but when you are working with other people’s time it doesn't always make sense to deliver things in one take but it’s usually very satisfying.
14. What non-hiphop material do you turn to for inspiration? What non-music has influenced your work recently?
Musically - ambient music! I have always listened to “relaxing music” since I was a kid because I have always had anxiety. As I’ve gotten older that expanded to more experimental music, noisy music. Field recordings and ambient tones have been very inspiring to me the past couple of years.
I've been working towards bridging the gap of my “beats” and sonic experimentations for a little while and will be releasing a new ambient project this year (2023). I also recently produced an EP for someone while practicing this same type of experimental production processes.
Outside of music I would say film! I use a lot of filmmaking language in my writing because that's just how my brain works. It’s also a clinical way to describe things visually.
Also, I’m inspired a lot from my surroundings and experiences. I try to pull songs from my life and the characters I see or interact with. You can turn anything into poetry and I try to.
15. Writers are often saddled with self-doubt. Do you struggle to like your own shit, or does it all sound dope to you?
Dude. Self-doubt all day. Imposter syndrome all day. “I suck.” etc. I usually briefly fall in love with whatever new music I’m making and then get more distant to it when I begin something new. Recently, I was head over heels with a new song, then a day later my certainty of its quality was subverted by my silly brain.
As I get older I’m learning to appreciate my music more. I used to be the guy to delete music after publishing it but that isn’t sustainable nor fair to listeners.  Combating self-doubt will always be a journey.
16. Who’s a rapper you listen to with such a distinguishable style that you need to resist the urge to imitate them?
All of them? Sometimes I hear a beat and think of people I know that could potentially feature on the track with me - or even famous rappers - but then I decide to have no features on the song. In those cases I worry that I might sound like whoever I thought of initially. When that happens I share a demo with friends and it’s usually just in my head.
I’m not sure this has happened to you, but there’s those moments where you strike gold while writing and realize, “Oh…this is just [famous song]”. I’m paranoid of that happening. Sometimes I won’t listen to new projects immediately if I'm already in the middle of writing something - that way it doesn’t rub off on me subconsciously.
Funny enough though, I think hip-hop is pretty forgiving of that kind of thing in the right context. So many artists pay tribute by flipping famous lines or flows and putting them in their own songs. You don't see nearly as many cover songs in the genre as in others but see more reworkings, references, and shout-outs.
I mean if you are biting someone's style completely that’s a no-no, but I’m not concerned about that happening.
17. Do you have an agenda as an artist? Are there overarching concerns you want to communicate to the listener?
My goal is to be financially stable off of video and music alone.
In terms of projects, collaborations, etc. - I will always want to work with talented people and especially ones that have vision or challenge me to think outside the box. Connecting with other artists will always be a big part of music for me.
Content-wise, I want to keep experimenting but also take myself more seriously and write less about emotional/personal issues as my default. Mental health issues are important for me and listeners tell me my words have helped them. That’s why I still do write this way and partly why I started writing that way too. If any of my experiences and learnings can help people in the same spot it’s a win and very rewarding. It’s just as validating for me to hear people relate to my writing as I’m sure it might be for a listener to hear someone describe how they feel.
I have always been an impulsive writer and I imagine that won’t change. I can say, though, that the more I work on myself the more my growth will reflect in my writing.

Got tagged for this by @yerbamansa, thanks pal! I'm tagging @yourlocal-charlatan, @alfalfairy, @swallowtailed, @nevershootamockingbird, @lovewithagirl, @eldritchjackalope, and @dragonmuse (but only if you want to)! Writing pals who I didn't tag but want to do it, consider yourself tagged!
Do you write in order?
LMAO NO. Very occasionally I'll sit down and bang out a story from start to finish in order, but it's a very, very rare occurrence. Most often I write completely out of order, by means of "thought of a scene, wrote it down, yeeted it somewhere in a loose approximation of where it might go in the non-existent outline." Actual proper outlining only happens once something gets over like, 20K. Small fics will sometimes get a very loose outline but it's usually just 3-5 bullet points.
Heck, even single scenes that get too long (looking at you smut scenes) get written out of order sometimes. My brain does not like doing things linearly so I just let it do as it pleases lol.
How fully formed does your writing come out the first try?
Ehh, it really depends on what I'm writing? I'd say decently fully formed, especially for prompts and single scenes, but every now and then I'll write something that's just chock-full of "come back to this" or "edit this" notes. I'm a very big believer in "write anything down to get over the block" and usually it works.
How many drafts do you go through?
For most things, two-three, although I don't really think of them in terms of drafts. I write a thing, then I edit. Usually read through and edit a second time as well, especially because my editing process usually adds a lot (anywhere from 1-10K to a fic, depending on how long it is and how many scenes I've forgotten to write lmao).
With much longer fics (like my two 90K WIPs), it's not really set in stone 'first draft second draft' etc, but things change and get shifted around a whole lot before it's done. I'm not a concrete plotter, which tends to mean things shift a lot.
Tell me about your process.
I get a stupid idea, I write a scene for it, and then it spirals out of control XD
But actually, that's pretty accurate. I have many many fics that came out of a single prompt scene and then grew to anywhere from 10 to 90 thousand words. I adore prompts, and they give me so many ideas and I want to write all of them. I am also Full of Feelings, so I tend to get a lot of emotions and ideas about sad plot points and then I want to write them.
I write a lot of scenes around people doing mundane things, and if I'm stuck, I always start with dialogue. Dialogue is my fav and comes easily most of the time.
In terms of technical settings (stole this because it's fun): Microsoft Word for me in terms of actual writing programs! I use Google Docs for collaboration, but it's not my fav. Also I'm a gremlin and VERY FREQUENTLY write directly into a discord channel (on my phone or laptop) so that I can inflict the WIP snippet onto my pals. Thank u pals who let me do this, I love u
And that's it! I welcome questions though, I can't think of anything more specific to write.

It's a long list of writer asks so I asked a bunch: 4, 6, 15, 16, 29, 30, 50, 73, and 77
4. How do you choose which fics to write?
I jot all my ideas down in a markdown file called WIP Directory and let them all kinda marinate in my head. Then, it's really whichever one I have inspiration for at that moment. If I can at least get some of it out on paper I can look at the list and see what sparks my brain up.
6. What’s the last line you wrote?
He swears he can feel the sharp edge bouncing up and down against the pounding of his pulse.
(from some sexy swordplay im working on 👀)
15. What’s your favorite time to write?
Afternoon!
16.Do you write by hand, on your phone, or on your laptop?
Laptop all the way! I might jot some things down on my phone if it pops into my head while I'm out and about, but the vast majority of my writing is on my laptop. No clue how ppl do it any other way without going mad XD
29. What’s something about your writing that you’re proud of?
I would say how much better my dialogue has gotten in the ~7 months I've been writing!
30. How much do you edit your fics?  Do you edit as you write or wait until you finish the first draft?
I edit very lightly. Usually I try to wait until I finish the first draft to fully read it and mark where things don't make sense or need a sentence rewritten. Sometimes I only do a quick scan for spelling and grammar before sending it off into the ether
50. How would you describe your writing style?
introspective, economic, and sensory-focused.
73. What do you tend to get complimented on the most about your writing?
Not sure if it's the most frequent, but the one that sticks in my mind is how I incorporate canon into my fics!!
77. Why do you enjoy writing fanfiction?
I really like the speculative nature of it! We ask so many versions of "what would happen if my favorite characters were in this situation?" and find so many different answers! I get to dive deeper into a character's head and understand why they do the things that they do, and what they would do given a different context (especially an AU!)! I also really enjoy the community around writing and sharing my ideas with other fans <3
Thank you so much for all the questions!!!! <3

It's a long list of writer asks so I asked a bunch: 4, 6, 15, 16, 29, 30, 50, 73, and 77
These were some interesting questions to think about.
4. How do you choose which fics to write?
Sometimes I'm really focused on one particular story, daydreaming scenes which I just have to write. Or occasionally scenes in future fics which mean I have to write all the build up. Mostly I'm not that driven and its harder to choose. An arbitary time limit on a fic will help prompt me to get my butt in gear, for example designating a plot for a gift or event. Nanowrimo has been useful for helping me make progress on the bigger projects. Of course if I get to discuss my ideas with people then I'll often be incentivised and the new poll function has helped me choose sometimes too.
6. What's the last line you wrote?
"There seemed no reason to reveal that access to his carrier pigeons was currently in doubt." This was part of some editing I was doing recently, added in to clarify details which weren't perhaps clear.
15. What's your favourite time to write?
My actual favourite time to write is in the afternoon, but only if I'm going to have an undistrubed stretch to focus. More often I will do writing between about 10pm and 12pm which is when I have time to myself.
16. Do you write by hand, on your phone, or on your laptop?
All three. Normally I will use my laptop to work on fics but if I'm experiencing writers block or otherwise struggling with getting going then I will often switch to pencil and paper. I find words flow easier that way although the downside is that I then have to type it up. The phone is only for taking quick notes of scenes or sentences which I'll forget if I don't get down quick.
29. What's something about your writing that you're proud of?
Oof, difficult. I think I do show-don't-tell quite well. Readers get emotional impact from scenes rather than verbal explanations. Of course, I'm also proud of writing so many variants of riddlebird. Not sure anyone else has the range I do there.
30. How much do you edit your fics? Do you edit as you write or wait until you finish the first draft?
I always do at least one read through of my fics before they get posted but it does depend on the length of fic and the specific nature of what I want to tell how much editing they require. If its a one-shot that's just written in fun then I basically just check for spelling. Multi-chapter fics where I'm going for a particular emotion or concept need checking to see that I've done it justice. Currently I'm editing my longest fic yet and I literally have a notebook to ensure I'm keeping facts straight and the timeline consistent throughout.
50. How would you describe your writing style?
I'd say I'm light on extraneous description and highly focused on character interactions. An online writing comparison site said I wrote like Arthur Clarke which I felt was very complimentary.
73. What do you tend to get complimented on the most about your writing?
I tend to get comments gushing over the feelings I've inspired from the characters being repressed or misunderstandings. Readers want to scream at the characters, I think.
77. Why do you enjoy writing fanfiction?
This is something I've thought about recently, due to depression striking after so much AI discourse going on. Writing is an act of expression and exploring concepts I might not otherwise come to grips with. Its creating stories I want to read. Sharing that fiction is a different thing and the reason I do that is because I want to bond with others over my love of a franchise and its characters. I want others to get the same sort of enjoyment I do. And I'd love to hear back from readers if they do.
