“She settles them in a corner, grabbing a chair for Tim to sit on. He’s kicking his feet against the legs of the chairs when she crouches in front of him. “Sorry you had to deal with Elenor again, baby.”

Tim groans, his matching smile growing genuine. “She says everything in these… innuendos that she thinks I don’t understand.”

Janet’s hand settles on one of his dress shoes, ceasing the kicking. “I know. Just be happy you’re getting the gossip and not stood with your father talking business.”

She grows silent for a second, absentmindedly fiddling with the laces of his shoes. “I have something I want to talk to you about.”

“If it’s about the seafood on the menu,” Tim says, holding his hands up in surrender, “I haven’t touched it.”

“The what?” Janet comes back to herself, her lips tugging down. She drops Tim’s shoelace, settling back in her crouch. The fact she can move so comfortably in her heels will always impress him. “No, baby, that’s not it. I didn’t realise there was— I’ll talk to your father about that. I need to ask for a favour. A mission.”

“Of course.” Tim nods, leaning forwards. His first charity events were full of missions, Tim toddling around to greet his ‘targets’. If he completed them all, Jack would take him for ice cream on the way home. Even though the missions dwindled, the ice cream never would. “What’s up?”

“Have you noticed the boy?— No, that’s silly.” She smiles at Tim, a real, soft smile. “Of course you have. Will you go talk to him? If he’s going to keep sneaking into our events, he needs to have some more manners. And a nicer suit.” )

batman!mike first saw you when he was dealing with some men that were attempting to rob the diner you were working at. luckily, you weren’t at the register, but you were there. after dealing with them, his dark eyes met yours for a brief moment. he stared at you, eyes focused on you and you swore you saw a softness to the brown eyes before he left.

batman!mike who researches everything about you from that day on. of course, he goes home to research you in his cave, getting every ounce of information about you: i mean, he also needs your home address to watch over you, duh!

batman!mike who starts showing up outside the diner you’re working at just to…watch you…to make sure you’re not in any kind of danger.

batman!mike definitely keeps a diary but doesn’t write in it too frequently. but once he encounters you he starts writing in it more — you’re mainly what he writes about.

batman!mike is possessive. he’s not really aware of it, honestly. whenever he sees you on the phone or with someone laughing and smiling a little too much for his liking it ruins his day. like literally. he’ll sulk the rest of the day trying to find out who that person was that was making you laugh and smile so much.

batman!mike who sneaks into your place while you’re working just to look through your stuff. he feels a sense of guilt being in there without your consent…but he just wants to get to know you better! he wants to know what your interests are, what books you’re into, what you write about in your journal, how your room is decorated, etc.

batman!mike wears black eyeshadow (like battinson), it’s smudged and messy but it looks so good on him. his pretty brown eyes complimenting the makeup so well.

batman!mike who watches you undress from your window once you get home from work. it’s not a one time thing either. by now he has your bare body memorised.

Writing Habits Number/Names of WIPs: One being written currently: The Iron Flower, first book in The Flowers of War series. Numerous fics hanging around including MISFITS, but I’m focusing on original stuff right now. Favo(u)rite book about writing: Oddly, I don’t particularly like books on how to write, I tend to better by picking up how other authors do things well. Palace of Treason is a lesson in how to write a sequel (I didn’t even realise it was a sequel!) and Three Dark Crowns is a masterpiece in writing the descent into cruelty and madness. Books like The Lies of Locke Lamora and Six of Crows also motivate me to improve my plot twists, and set up brilliant chains of events that all come crashing down together.  Planner, Pantser or Plantser? Compared to some people, I don’t think anyone else is a planner. I’m trying my own form of planning for The Iron Flower, and so far it’s going brilliantly. It involved writing out the entire plot in scene form, and then jumping in with no prior worldbuilding or character stuff, which is letting me develop those aspects naturally without getting stuck on where to take the plot next. I think this is a method I might stick with! Favo(u)rite Outlining Method: as above, whoopsie! Do you write on a schedule or sporadically? 500 words a day for the whole of my current project, and because that’s reasonably easy to hit, it gets me writing while also letting me beat my target almost every day, which is a lovely buzz! Any creativity rituals that you use: I sit on the same sofa with my crappy old laptop, I guess. Does that count?

When this blog was created: Summer of 2016 When your blog reached its peak: That damn post I made on a total whim What made you decide to make a tumblr?: Uh, I already had a messy fandom blog but the lovely @lyssthewriter the writer set up the @writingwritersgroup which is a fabulous summer writing group and all year round squad of awesome people, so I brought this blog into being to join that. And I haven’t regretted a second of it!

Fictional character I’d date: My mind is blank except for my OCs; how arrogant is that? And I’m mainly interested in shitty bad boy characters, who I would never want to date. Probably Finn from Star Wars, or Poe or Rey. AHSOKA! Probably young Clone Wars TV show Anakin too because I’m bad at life choices and also I love him. Non-SW characters too but I’m having a brain blank! How many blogs do I follow: 325 What do I post about: Writing! My writing, other people’s writing, prompts both mine and others. A lot of superhero related stuff, because I have *counts* 6 different superhero novels in the process of being planned and out interlinked, with four different but ultimately subtly related casts. It’s complicated, but it means that nearly everything superhero related has someone in my universe that I can tie it to. Also fantasy inspiration images, and fashion inspiration posts because of my dear darling Rosalie. Last movie I watched: LEGO Batman Movie. I cried real tears of laughter. Last book I read: I’m currently just starting Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. It’s been so hyped that I just had to pull it off my bookshelf and carve out the time to read it!
