Howdy, Y'all! So this is bound to be a super long post, one because I am super excited to find some more penpals, and two because I can’t ever do anything half way! So to sum up some of it I’m a seventeen year old ADHD Legal Studies college senior in Arkansas with a background in Political Science (USA) addicted to coffee looking for some penpals!
I’m currently sitting under the sunrise daydreaming up some new plots for a couple of stories I'm probably going to end up starting. In the process, I obviously started wondering deeper into the cosmos and questioning everything about life, for example, with the way 2020 is going, what's the probability of the zombie apocalypse breaking out? This pondering has lead me here, searching for some friends that hold the intellectual capability to have a serious not serious conversation, because in my opinion penpals and snail mailers are some of the greatest friends yet!
My name is Allison, though I’ve got a whole slew of nicknames that you could pick from if Allison is too much of a hassle ;D! Allie, Elle, and Allis being a few of them!
I’m your normal run-of-the-mill College student, besides the fact that I’m a college senior at seventeen and I graduated high school at thirteen! I’m studying Law, though I have a degree in political science as well! For reference, I will be turning eighteen within a month.
My goals in life include bringing light to the corruption and corrupted in politics and government, helping as many people as possible to better their lives and improve their state of living, and being as much happiness and joy to the world as I reasonably can! My career goals include achieving all the above through politics, public speaking, corporate ventures, and government!
So yeah, I’m a pretty ambitious gal, to the point that some people have claimed I’m overbearing and too interested in myself! While I might come across as overbearing or self-interested, I’m one of the most selfless people I know, and on top of that, I try to be as self-aware as possible so that I can continue to emotionally, intellectually, mentally, and physically improve myself! One of my motos in life is “to know where you're going you must first know where you’ve been”! Plus... I’ve just got a really really big personality!!
Let’s see, I am a Sagittarius, ENFP-t, and enneagram of 8! I am also a Slytherin! In my professional life, I like to compare myself to a much nicer version of Katerina Petrova… or Clarke Griffin (if you ignore the manipulative and kinda bitchy part of both… sometimes)! Though in my private life I tend to take on more of a child-like nature, in the sense of being cheerful, energetic, always curious, and kinda oblivious in certain situations! I do tend to be a bit bratty, blunt, and bossy though!
Moral of the story, you can probably expect some rambling and super cute designs slash miscellaneous things in your letter if we go the snail mail route!
I kinda have some pretty diverse and interesting taste when it comes to things I enjoy! I like to think I have the interests of an elderly person and personality of a child, but you can be the judge of that!
* I love politics, linguistics, diplomacy, history, stock markets, real estate, law, and philosophy!
* Hiking and swimming are probably two of my favorite outdoorsy activities!
* I adore the gun range, it is probably one of my favorite places to go (after malls and libraries)! Very American of me.... I know 😀
* Beekeeping is something I’ve been doing since I was a child, I currently have over four-thousand hives!
* Reading, writing, and painting are also some of my favorite things to do!
I’m a painter, who absolutely loves bright colors (I.e pink and yellow)! I don’t particularly have a favorite music genre, from rock to country and pop to opera/classical I’ll listen to anything (it all depends on mood)!
I like to consider myself the reigning queen of over-energetic happy-go-lucky bubbly people! *Bow down peasants!* Some people have claimed I’ve got major crackhead energy, without the crack! I just blame it on my caffeine addiction paired with really really bad ADHD!
I’m a bit of a girly girl, with a love for the preppy look, and a love for hair bows and leather jackets! I love dancing in the rain, going to parks, blowing bubbles, watching Disney, playing make-believe or whatever, and acting like I’m high on sugar 9/10! I mentioned I had a childish personality, though as I said, some people find it overwhelming!
I love reading and writing (both originals and fanfics... yeah I’m a groupie when it comes to tv/movie/book fanfics)! Currently, I’ve been really invested in fiction works, I’m nearly finished with the CL Stone Academy Ghostbird series (It's a reverse harem for those that don't know, I highly suggest it), which I started last week! Though I obviously have been keeping up with my lovely textbook readings and such (seeing as this week is Midterms and all)!
Oh!! I almost forgot I know three languages (not including English)! Spanish, French, and Russian! Though I’ve never had anyone to use the languages with, and I’m still in the process of learning Russian!
Side note, I'm a full-time college student that has multiple entrepreneurial businesses that I run, so I'm fairly busy! But I'm also super chatty and talkative, so there's that!
As for what I’m looking for! I’d love a best friend, someone that can put up with my amazingly hectic self, while also being able to hole and intelligent conversation.
I’m cool with an email pen-pal, a messaging pen-pal, or a snail mail pen-pal! Admittedly I’m currently in a crafty mood, specifically because the holidays, so snail mailing is probably at the top of my list at the moment! I just moved to a new location, which has been a blast, mountain people are so super sweet (coming from someone who grew up in the city) and I’ve officially managed to get my address and everything squared away! So that should be spectacular!
Age and gender identification don’t really matter to me, though I do connect with people older than myself a tad bit easier because my interests normally don’t line up with my peers! Similarly, people who have life goals, ambitions, and/or self-aware people are a serious weakness of mine, what can I say, I'm a sapiosexual, both in regards to romantic relationships and friendships, the brain is the most beautiful part of the human. Similarly in that fashion, I am also demisexual and pansexual.
I'm looking for something long-term, whenever I start something I pour 100% into it, and I expect 100% back! My time is a delicate thing, and even though I'm ridiculously busy I love sharing it with others! I would also be interested in exchanging photos early on with people that pique my interest, both for verification purposes, and because I prefer to put a face to a name. Similarly, your location does not particularly matter, domestic or international pen pals are welcome! I would love to be able to put some of my languages to use, however, but all cultures are welcome!
Anyways! I’d love to get to know you, so please shoot me a message and we’ll see where it stands and where we land! I’ll try to respond to all messages, but I can’t stand small talk, so if you just send a “hey” with no context or a few other words like “hyd” I probably won’t respond (and imma blame it on my Adhd)! I mean.... I did mention I love long messages!!
Can’t wait to hear from y’all!
And I hope everyone has a spectacular day and night!!
My email is [email protected] for anyone who wants to reach out there! Or you could just message me on Tumblr!!

Out of curiosity what are your previous fandoms? Tho feel free to ignore this ask if you don’t feel like sharing.
That’s a good question!
This ended up being a whole-ass memoir, so I’m gonna put it under a cut:
Although I’m in my late twenties, I actually only (relatively) recently got a tumblr–my active participation in fandom didn’t start until a couple years ago. I think for a while I was a little bit snooty/edgy about stuff, like if I was gonna read something it had to be ‘real literature’ (with all the weird baggage that entails). But as a result I didn’t read very much, because reading *had* to involve significant intellectual labor.
Back in the day (HS & college) I would sometimes binge M/M fic, and would always come out of it at 3am feeling debauched and disgusted with myself (feeling like I was invading a space I didn’t belong in by virtue of not being mlm myself, feeling like being into porn of fictional characters rather than being in real-life sexual relationships made me a total loser, feeling like I was wasting my time by consuming ‘trashy content’ that didn’t live up to my high literary standards).
It took a while to unlearn.
But anyway, here’s a list of some stuff I’ve been into over the years:
HS:
The obligatory 9th grade vampire phase: The Vampire Chronicles, Dracula, Vampire Hunter D, Hellsing (I was Not Into Twilight, that was for the Other Girls :P)
At some point in HS I started reading world religious texts for fun. This has continued on and off until the present day. I’m especially partial to mystical texts. I’m still in the middle of the Nag Hammadi Library.
I was, like, obsessed with metal in HS. I would trawl through the metal archives to methodically find new music. I was partial to gothic metal, beauty and the beast vocals, the whole shebang.
The Sandman, and other books by Neil Gaiman.
Pretty much everything Alan Moore’s written (well, not really, but at least whatever I could get my hands on at the local comic book shop)
~the obligatory post-HS, pre-college beatnik phase~
College:
I was Very Busy in college, so didn’t have much time for fandom. womp womp
That being said I think this tweet sums up what I was like in college xD
Being autistic, I didn’t really learn how to socialize until college, and that’s the main stuff I did, racking up social skills, racking up sexual experience, making a lot of mistakes, exploring my queerness, recovering from childhood trauma by establishing significant boundaries between myself and my parents, but mostly being tired all the time working on my double major
Adventure Time (what can I say, it hits the sweet spot between my stoner and occultist tendencies)
Grad school:
I was Even More Busy at the beginning of grad school and literally didn’t have time for anything. womp womp
Steven Universe ✨
A friend of mine got me into Hamilton. I may have belted Satisfied in a bar in Vienna in front of a bunch of drunk mathematicians.
I got into Yuri on Ice a year after it came out, in my third year of grad school, and it Awakened something in me
Then I watched all of Devilman Crybaby one day and then I watched Mushishi over the next couple weeks to come down from that. I started writing Mushishi fic after binge-reading tons of YOI fic. Nice, comforting, tiny fandom, perfect substitute for therapy atmosphere for a first time fic-writer
A friend of mine got me into the RPDR fandom. It’s a fun show with a lot of incredibly talented contestants. R/paul is transphobic capitalist trash tho
Oh also YOI got me into real-life figure skating as well
…And Then the MDZS donghua came out. Those first five minutes… drove straight to my teenage vampire phase. And so we’ve come full circle! 😅
But now, I’ve come to realize that my interest in M/M content was often… oh boy it’s a can of worms, but basically… well, I realized I’m not a woman and it can be deeply comforting to project onto fictional male characters. And, moreover, it took me several disappointing real-life sexual experiences to realize that… sometimes… getting off to fictional characters is a better option than random hookups (esp with cishet men 🙄).
And yet, here I am, again, a clown, on my “MXTX is great, but Priest is Real Literature” shit 🤡 We really do move in circles, don’t we…

Sacred Blood
Needed a break from the prompts so have this with @hogwartsmysterystory and his child Ethren Whitecross 💚
---
Two sixth-years walked down the halls, coming from their Ancient Runes class. One was a Gryffindor with a broody expression and tousled brown hair falling in front of it, the other a Slytherin with a teasing grin on her face and silver hair flowing behind her.
"Professor Babbling certainly was babbling on today." The girl nudged the boy, snickering.
He rolled his eyes but couldn't help the faint smile. "You say that, what, after every class? Isn't it getting old, Summer?"
"You still smile so it must still be funny to you. Admit it, Ethren, you enjoy having someone studying this with you who also has a great sense of humor."
"Fine!" He threw his hands up, shoulder bag swinging wildly. "It's nice having someone also interested in becoming a Curse-Breaker in Runes with me."
"Hey, watch where you're going, filth!"
Ethren looked over at who he had just accidentally hit while passing by. An angry fourth-year Slytherin, spindly and mousy looking, glared up at him. It was honestly like a pathetic looking puppy trying to be intimidating
"Sorry."
"You better be sorry, you muddy half-blood. Thinking you own the place."
Honestly, Ethren was going to just walk away but unpleasant anger flashed across Summer's face and she snapped at the kid, twirling her wand in her hand.
"Shut up, Smith. Besides, aren't you a half-blood too?"
The fourth-year's face flushed bright red. "That's not... Well, he, he has American wizard blood! That's not exactly pure or even half!"
"If you want to get into being "pure," I'm a Selwyn, remember? Sacred Twenty-Eight? And this pureblood is telling you to shut up about the whole thing and get out of our way before I hex you. I don't think Snape would like to see you waltz into class."
It was well known that Summer Charn was unusually proficient at Tarantallegra. The kid, Smith, apparently, also seemed aware of this fact. His face was a tomato and he started edging away from her pinning gaze. "Yeah, yeah. I'll, uh... get going."
He hurried away towards the dungeons and she called out after him, "Say something like that again and you'll get a month's worth of detention!" Then the prefect faced Ethren again and kept heading towards the library. Her anger had cooled but still flickered in her blue-green eyes. "C'mon, we need to get started on those translations."
The Gryffindor fell into step beside her and gave her an appreciative nod. "Thanks."
"Oh, think nothing of it. I'm not going to let people insult my friends, especially over something as idiotic as blood. Even if said friend is somewhat of an American idiot."
He bumped her and she just laughed but quickly quieted as they stepped over the threshold into the library. Madam Pince sat her desk only a few feet away and looked cross. As usual. What a stick in the mud.
"Lau just introduced you to Green Day, didn't he?" He lowered his voice as they claimed a table near the bright windows.
She nodded, pulling out a textbook. "Mhm. Good Muggle rock music. We even went to a concert this past summer..." And her focus was taken by the pages in front of her.
Ethren shrugged his bag off and brought out his own textbook. Advanced Rune Translation by Yuri Blishen stared him in the face. He should also get to work on their homework. But something Summer had said nagged at him. Something while scaring off that Smith kid with pureblood bragging. What was it? The Sacred something?
"Hey, Sum."
"Hmm."
"What was that thing you were talking about? The Sacred Twelve or whatever."
"The Sacred Twenty-Eight."
"Yeah, that. What is it?"
"Wait. You've never heard of it?" She looked up, confused. "It's important blood stuff here."
"No. Should I have?"
"You really don't know?" Her eyes rolled back into her head and she closed her book. "I can't believe this. Your lack of education of British Wizarding history and culture is shockingly lacking."
He shrugged. "Blood isn't a big deal in America."
"Well, here, it is."
She neatly pushed her book aside, folded her hands together, and looked at him. This he'd come to recognize as her tutor mode taking over. Honestly, if she wasn't so ambitious, he was certain she would've been in Ravenclaw. Like her dad? He was pretty sure that had been him.
"So blah blah blah Binns talked about the witch huntings driving wizards into hunting blah blah blah the idea of keeping the community safe from risky outsiders over time corrupted into the whole idea of pureblood supremacy blah blah blah. In the 1940's, the Sacred Twenty-Eight was anonymously published (I say anonymously but everyone's pretty sure it was a Nott.) It listed the last surviving, supposedly fully 'pure' families in Great Britain. Families like the Potters didn't make the cut as their name was too Mugglish. The Weasleys are on it but I don't know if they were considered blood traitors all the way back then.
"Muggle-lovers, 'traitors' to purebloods," she answered before he could ask. His jaw promptly closed.
"Anyway, it was this whole big controversy but lots of old-fashioned wizards stick by that list as a symbol of honor or whatever. It's a load of Doxie droppings, but..." She shrugged. "It certainly works to shut up people who care about."
His brows furrowed together, mulling over what she had said. This was new information for sure. "So, the Charns are on the list? Big in Wales, or something like--"
She burst out laughing. And was immediately shushed by a furious Madam Pince. Leaning closer to him, she kept on whispering.
"No, they're not on the list. Never would be. The Selwyns, my mum's side, is. Old pureblood family. Didn't you ever wonder why I ever lived in a manor?"
"Not really considering the Whitecross estate houses a mansion."
"Right. Forgot about that. That was... an interesting visit."
"I could say the same about Selwyn Manor."
"Fair. A place buried with Dark magic is decent competition for an amateur Curse-Breaker. And my grandfather," she made a face, "can be such a delight."
"Again. Could say the same but about my father."
They sat there, silence hanging between them, both deep in thought. Rather crazy how they could be so different yet so alike. Ethren figured it was part of what made them such good friends.
"Hey." She bit her lip a little but pressed on. "I don't care what any stupid fourth-year or idiot from before the Beatles thinks. Blood is just that: blood. It can bond. It can be spilled. It can be strong or weak. But I think your blood is just as sacred as mine. Wanna know why?"
"Why?"
"Because you're my friend. And I love you."
His heart warmed a little and he cracked a grin. "Thanks. Love you too."
She giggled softly, lightly kicking him under the table. "Don't let Merula hear you say that," she winked. And Summer Charn was back.
He shook his head and they both became absorbed in their work.
Fin.

Bohemian Rhapsody
AN: Well I thought I would write something and finally get things done for this blog. I hope you all will enjoy this, I combined some Bohemian Rhapsody with Supernatural because its two fandoms that I love. So enjoy my loves
***************************************************
Word Count: 3,764
You and Sam get back from a hunt. Dean and Mom stayed behind at the bunker and basically cleaned the place.
Mom did most of the organizing while Dean helped with the heavy lifting, well most of the time he tried to get out of Spring clean up but Mom never fell for it.
As Sam drives through town, you see the movie list that has been released and see the movie you have been wanting to see ever since you read about it online.
“Hey Sam?” you ask while never taking your eye off the movie ad well until it disappears from your sight anyway.
“Yeah, whats up?” Sam asks looking to you while he makes the turn for the bunker
“How do you think Mom will like if I took her to a movie?” you ask shyly
You didnt know why you had to ask Sam first or even act all shy about it.
Mary was your mom, just as much as she is Sam and Dean’s Mom.
You were still trying to get used of her being around more.
Dean and Sam already got used of her. Well you thought so anyway.
“I think that would be great if you took her. I mean spend some Mother, Daughter time. Something me or Dean couldnt do for you while growing up” he replies while parking the car by the door of the bunker.
He looks to you with a sincere smile.
“Something that doesnt involve hunting” you sum up while getting out of the car and gathering you things.
“Exactly. You need some normalcy in your life and this could be one of them” he replies while opening the door and entering
“What is exactly normal Sam?” you ask with a smile on your face as the both of you walk down the spiral stairs.
“You two are home early” Mom greets you both
Sam goes in for a hug
Your turn next
“It was easy” you simply reply with a smile on your face
“Looks like you and Dean have been busy” Sam says while looking around the library
“I’ve been keeping him busy, hes been making excuses not to get this place organized” Mom replies while sitting down at the table
You go down the hall and into your room to put your things by the door and on your bed. You thought you would clean up your things later.
“Hey baby girl, home so soon” Dean says as he comes out of his room and gives you a hug
“Hey big bro. Hiding from Mom?” you ask while pulling away from his embrace
“I wasnt hiding. I was just putting something back into my room” Dean replies while making excuses to hide from Mom
“Right” you reply with a smirk on your face
You and Dean walk into the kitchen where you hear Sam and Mom talking about the case.
“it was y/n who figured out the whole entire thing and knew how to kill it why we are home so early” Sam says while looking to you all proud. Mom has the same expression on her face as well
“Well way to go baby girl” Mom says while giving you a side hug
“How about I make you your favourite tonight. I’ll get Dean to pick up a few things from the store” Mom says with a smile on her face
“Alright give me a list and I’ll head out with Sam” he replies while Sam glares at him for volunteering him to tag along for the grocery run
“Actually yeah I will tag along for the grocery run because I need to pick up a few things as well” Sam says while looking to you.
He thought he would give you that chance to talk to Mom and ask her about the movie you want to take her out to.
As soon as they are both gone. Its you and Mom left in the kitchen.
Complete silence, until you remembered the movie.
Queen’s Love Of My Life came on the radio and Mom hummed to the song as she moved around the kitchen to gather the ingredients she does have.
“Hey Mom, I was wondering if you would want to watch a movie with me?” you ask while twiddling with your thumbs sitting at the table
“Sure sweetie. What were you thinking of watching?” she asks as she bring her ingredients in a bowl to the table
“Uh Im going to leave that as a surprise. I’ll buy the tickets now” you tell her while smiling to her
She returns the warm smile as well
“Alright in the mean time Im going to mix this all up” she says as he begins mixing her ingredients
While Dean and Sam are at the grocery store, Dean looks to the list of things Mom wrote down for him and goes from aisle to aisle to gather everything.
“Did y/n really single handedly solve the entire case and kill the monster?” Dean asks while looking to Sam
“Yeah she did and it was like as if she killed the thing before” Sam replies while placing more items into the cart
“It was more like on accident” Dean replies while pushing the cart to the cashiers till
“What do you mean?” Sam asks all confused
“Well when she was fifteen I left her alone by the car and the thing came after her. She knew what to do and killed the thing by herself” Dean remembers like it was just yesterday you had your first kill.
You did it with ease though, not showing any fear what so ever and felt proud of your first kill
“Wow, she is fearless” Sam says while placing the items on the conveyor belt for the cashier to scan
“That she is. I’ve never been so proud” Dean says with a smile on his face
“Mom is pretty proud of her too” Sam says with a smile on his face
“Why wouldnt she, y/n is the exact replica of Mom and shes fearless” Dean says while giving the money to the cashier for the food
“Speaking of Mom, y/n asked if Mom would be alright with going to a movie with her and I told her she should just ask and spend some Mother, Daughter time with her. Something we couldnt do while y/n was growing up” Sam says while taking the bags and placing them in the cart
“What movie is she thinking of taking her to?” Dean asks helping Sam placing the rest of the bags into the cart and pushes it out of the store
“I dont know she didnt say” Sam replies while getting the trunk open
“Thats true though, she never got to experience that Mother, Daughter time and think she should get to experience that” Dean agrees with Sam
Dean remembers all the talks he had with you, some were awkward and others were just a learning experience for him and he thought he raised you pretty good.
“Lets go home and wait for Mom’s cooking” Dean says while putting baby on drive
“See if y/n asked Mom about the movie and see what they are going to see” Sam says while looking to the road
“You didnt see which movie she was looking at?” Dean asks while driving slowly by the movie theatre
“No but I am guessing its Bohemian Rhapsody” Sam looks to the movie posters that are posted outside the theatre
“The movie about Queen. I always wanted to see that movie” Dean says while pressing the gas and going back to the bunker
“Mom is definitely going to love that movie” Sam says while looking to Dean
“Of course she will. I remember Mom playing their records over the record player and it was always either Love Of My Life or You’re My Best Friend” Dean says while remembering back to his younger days of Mom playing music.
“I remember that too. I’d always hear Bohemian Rhapsody every and then. Or even Killer Queen” Sam says with a smile on his face
They get to the bunker and park in the garage.
Dean stops the engine and gets out of the car
Sam does the same and gets the groceries that were placed in the back seat.
While Dean gets the ones from the trunk and head into the kitchen
“I remember your dad sneaking us into a Queen concert. He was suppose to get tickets for us for my birthday but they were sold out” Mom smiles at the memory while you play some of their music through your spotify playlist.
“Their concerts were amazing. They always put on the best shows” Mom says with a smile on her face as she takes her hand to her chest.
You see she is tearing up at the memories and understood why
You hear Dean and Sam walking down the hall and into the kitchen
“Freddie Mercury was just amazing on stage and off. Your dad was always amazing at getting us into the shows” she says while looking to you.
You couldnt help but get teary eyed as well. You feel as though you were robbed of great concerts, a great artist.
Most of all, you were robbed of your Father. How you missed him dearly.
“Whats with the tears?” Dean asks looking between you and Mom
He places the groceries on the table and begins putting them away.
Sam does the same while looking between the both of you as well
“I was just telling y/n about the times your Father took us to Queen concerts and how amazing they were. How amazing Freddie was” she says while wiping the tears away
“I would have given you their concert t-shirts but it was burned in the house fire” Mom says while looking to you
You would have loved one of her shirts from their live shows
“Y/n play Tie Your Mother Down” Dean says while looking to you
You do as your told and begin getting the movie tickets for the Bohemian Rhapsody movie.
“This song” Mom tsk’s as the song plays
Its as though she is replaying the concert in her head with Dad at her side. She smiles to Dean and Sam
Dean plays the air guitar to Brian May’s guitar riffs
Sam sings out the chorus but he has nothing on Freddie
Mom joins in as she dances. She moves like Disco Deaky
You sit back and enjoy their dancing, singing and air guitar playing.
You bang on the table to the drums of Roger Taylor
“Thats the way baby girl” Dean says winking to you
When dinner is finally made and Mom did amazing at cooking your favourite meal.
You couldnt wait for the next day for the movie. Heck you were really excited
Dean cleaned the kitchen when everyone was done eating. Sam helped with drying the dishes.
Mom went to shower and head to bed
You went to your room and cleaned up a bit while putting stuff away.
Finally you went to bed as well.
**
Mom is the one who wakes early, she goes to the kitchen to make a pot of coffee.
Sam is the one who wakes next
“Do you ever sleep in?” Mom asks looking to Sam as he enters the kitchen
Sam chuckles at the question and waits for the coffee to be done
“I dont understand that reference” Sam retorts as he smiles and thinks of Castiel
“So do you have any idea which movie y/n wants to see?” Mom asks while she gets herself a cup of coffee
“No I dont. She didnt tell me which movie. She just said she would like to take you to a movie” Sam replies while doing the same
“Im excited either way. I mean I never had any chance to spend time with her. Only when” Mom cuts herself off as she remembers the final moments she had with you
“But you’re back now and make up lost time. I know we are always out on hunts and you can finally have these moments with her. She is amazing just like you mom” Sam says to her.
“Does she still like chocolate cake?” Mom asks looking to Sam
“Yeah she does but Dean topped it off with chocolate chips and baked it. So every birthday he would make chocolate chip cake for her” he replies while looking to Mom with a smile
“But still using grandma’s cake recipe?” She asks in hopes its the same
“Still using the same recipe” he replies with a smile
You wake up to the smell of coffee that brought a smile to your face
You get up from bed and put on a hoodie as you walked out of your room, down the hall and into the kitchen
“Morning y/n” Mom greets you from the coffee machine
“Morning y/n” Sam greets you next
“Morning guys” you reply with a smile on your face
“Dean not up yet?” Mom asks looking to you
“No, I didnt see him come out of his room” you reply getting yourself a cup of coffee
Finally Dean awakes from his sleep, the four of you assist other hunters with their cases in doing research.
The other hunters were successful with their hunts and killing the monsters. All successful with Dean, Sam, Mom and your help.
“Oh geez the movie starts in an hour. Mom we got to get ready” you say while looking to the time
“Oh right, I will take a quick shower and get ready quickly” Mom says while rushing to the washroom and getting ready for the movie.
“I didnt realize all this researching would take most of the day” Dean says while putting the books away
“Dean I think thats the most reading you did for most of your life” you reply while going down the hall and into your room for a shower as well
“Shut up” Dean says while glaring at you as you walk away from the library
Sam is laughing while Dean glares at him as well.
Finally the day has come for movie night with your mom and you were excited for this. Not only spending time with your mom but would get the chance to watch Queen’s biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.
“Y/n Im ready” Mom says knocking on your door
You brush your hair for the final time and walk out of your room.
“Alright I am ready” you say while following Mom into the kitchen where Dean and Sam are
“We are off now. Are you going to tell me which movie we are seeing now?” Mom says to your brothers while asking you what the surprise is.
“No, not until we get to the movie” you reply with a mischievous smile on your face
“Just really knows how to keep the suspense going this kid” Mom says while walking out of the kitchen with you.
“Have fun you two and let me know which movie you see. So I can go watch it” Sam says while waving the both of you off from the garage
Dean follows along as well and does the same. He is proud you have asked Mom to head out with you.
You park across from the movie theatre while Mom gets out and you do the same.
Thats when she sees the movie poster for Bohemian Rhapsody
“Y/n is that the movie we are going to see” she asks with tears in her eyes
You nod you head with a smile on your face and couldnt wipe it away
“Thank you” she says as she gives you a hug
“Not a problem Mom, I wanted to do something for you that involved your favourite band and just to spend some time with you” you tell her while giving the worker your tickets
“Alright lets sing some Radio Gaga” she says and enters the theatre
As the movie begins to play and the echoes of Freddie’s voice plays in the background. It gave the both of you goose bumps.
The opening credits to the movie begins as Somebody To Love begins playing.
“Its twelve noon in London. Seven am in Philadelphia, its time for Live Aid”
You look to your Mom and see she has tears in her eyes. You pull out the tissues from your pocket and hand them to her.
She takes a few and thanks you for them
The both of you swaying back and forth to the song. You see Mom lip syncing to the lyrics of Somebody To Love.
The scene to Live Aid is what opens the movie and Mom gets goosebumps once more. She remembers watching Live Aid on TV.
When the movie gets to rockfield farm where three members of Queen are in the kitchen making breakfast, talking about Roger’s song Im in love with my car. Well more like arguing about it.
Mom laughs when Roger throws the food at Brian and John cause he is getting annoyed with them talking about his song. Finally he is about to throw the coffee maker but is stopped from doing so.
“I wonder if they replaced that with Roger locking himself in the cupboard when they didnt want to add his song on the B side” Mom leans over and whispers into your ear.
You laughed way too hard at that
“I would think so but would have been nice if they added that in the movie” you lean over and whisper into her ear as well.
The both of you share a laugh.
When the movie gets to the scene of Live Aid, Mom begins to tear up once more and places her hand on her chest.
As Radio Gaga begins to play is when a wide smile spreads on Moms face and she wipes away more tears.
During the chorus of the song is when Mom begins to raise her arms as well just like the whole theatre did for the song and clapped.
Everyone begins to break out singing as well.
You sang and raised your arms as you clapped as well. You werent part of the concert but felt good to sing out the song. You wiped away tears as well.
When the song ended is when Hammer to Fall began to play is when Mom looked at you with a wide smile
“This was your fathers favourite song” She leans in near your ear to tell you.
You tear up more as she tells you that. You wipe away the tears and continue watching the movie.
Finally when the movie is over is when the both of you are in tears once more as the credits roll.
You are about to get up from the seat but Mom doesnt get up. She sits there enjoying the music from her teen years.
She mouths to the lyrics of Dont Stop Me Now and you do the same as well.
“That was so good” Mom says walking out of the theatre
“It was and I am glad you liked it” you say while unlocking the car
“Liked it? I loved it. Even though it wasnt in order but I still loved the movie. Oh and those boys looked so much like the members of Queen” Mom says trying hard not to sob
You can tell she loved the band oh so dearly, how she talked about the band and chose the words oh so delicately when talking about Freddie Mercury.
“When Joe Mazzello who played John Deacon danced to Bohemian Rhapsody and thats exactly how Deaky danced” Mom says with pure excitement and is completely astonished at the same time.
“Y/n I thank and love you for taking me to see this movie” Mom says placing her hand over yours and giving a gentle squeeze.
“Not a problem Mom and I love you too” you tell her while placing a kiss to her hand
“It was uncanny how each actor looked like the members from the band” you add while driving back to the bunker
“Especially Mazzello who looked exactly like John Deacon. I wonder if his mom had one night with Deaky and got pregnant with Joe” she begins to make assumptions
You begin laughing while you pull into the bunkers garage
“Are you sure dad is my dad?” you ask while looking to Mom
“No, your Father is John Deacon actually, its just he doesnt know yet and your dad left me alone for a while so I went sneaking back stage” Mom says with a smile on her as the both of you enter the bunkers hallway.
Dean and Sam sit in the kitchen eating pizza Dean ordered.
They look to each other with smiles on their faces as they hear the both of you laughing.
“That movie is a definite master piece just as much as the night at the opera is” Mom says as the both of you enter the kitchen
“So ladies how was the movie?” Dean asks looking from his pizza
“Whats so funny?” Sam asks finishing his pizza
“We were just talking about the movie and among other things” you reply while getting yourself a slice of pizza
“I was just questioning if one of the actors playing John Deacon is his son and I told y/n that John Deacon is her biological father” Mom says while getting herself a slice of pizza as well
“Oh so you did take her to see Bohemian Rhapsody” Dean says with a smile on his face
“So the movie was good?” Sam asks while laughing at his sister and Mom
“Yes it was really good. Its not in complete order but its still a great movie” Mom replies while sitting next to Sam
You sit next to Dean while nodding your head
“So John Deacon is y/n’s biological father? I knew it this whole time” Dean jokingly says while looking to you.
You nudge him as you giggle
“Sam we should go watch the movie” Dean looks to Sam in hopes he will go with him
“I wouldnt mind watching it again” Mom says grabbing another slice of pizza
“I totally wouldnt mind watching the movie again” you say as well looking to your family.
When it was agreed to watch the movie as a family is when you got more excited because you wanted to see how Dean and Sam would react to the movie.
Mother, daughter time was a definite success and happy you got to take her to see Bohemian Rhapsody.

On-brand stories from my childhood
I remember this tweet going around a few months ago, soliciting people’s most on-brand stories from their childhood, things they’ve done or words they’ve said as a kid that sum up who they are at present. I wanted to participate so bad when I first saw it on my timeline, but I knew that being the eccentric, one-of-a-kind kid I was, it would take me a long period of reminiscing (and more tweets in a thread than anyone would bother to read) to put down everything worth noting. So, here it is: 10 of the weirdest, Most Angel experiences from my youth, for the lack of a way to put it, accompanied by photos of baby me because let’s face it, they make everything better.
ONE: When I was about four, my parents took me to a building very near our house to have my IQ checked. They had an inkling that I was a gifted child, and wanted to confirm it with a professional. So, I was escorted into an office, and subjected to interrogation to assess my competence in several areas of giftedness - much to my dismay, since all I wanted was to get that interview over and done with so I could read books in the library next door. There was this one part where the person in charge of me was trying to test my kinesthetic abilities by getting me to follow this aerobics routine that she was making me do. “Step step one, step step two,” she was saying while stomping to the right and stomping right back in place. I told her I didn’t want to do it, because I didn’t want to look like a fool.
TWO: I had this knack for correcting teachers. As a kid, I was hyperfixated on learning all the countries in the world and their respective capitals, with the help of this flash cards set that I got from Toy Kingdom. So when there was this time that my Filipino teacher had said that there were only two countries in the world with names that started with the letter Q, five year old Angel was very quick to correct her. “Miss Melissa, there’s only one country that starts with the letter Q! It’s Qatar!” I told her. She replied, “No! Quebec is a country, too!” This argument persisted for a bit until she made us do a seatwork, which gave her the opportunity to leave us to go to the computer room for a bit (since cellphones weren’t given Internet capability back in 2006). She returned and told me, “Angel, tama ka nga. Di pala bansa yung Quebec, hehe.”
THREE: It’s become common knowledge to everyone in my life that I wrote books growing up, but my body of work extended way beyond my very inventive fiction (alternatively called, me putting my own twist on the fairytales I read growing up) and creative non-fiction (me telling everyone how my day, half true-to-life, accurate detail and half-imagination). I remember going through the family laptop one day, and coming across the corporate profile of my uncle’s company, where my dad was working at the time as the technical assistant to the president. Being the child I was who wanted to emulate everything her father was doing, I wanted to make a copy of my own too but I was unfortunately unemployed. Thankfully, I took matters into my own hands and made up a company of my own, which I aptly named Pamper and Pretty. Excuse the fatal grammar error, but I was six and was yet to be familiarized with what parallelism in writing actually was. I drafted a whole corporate profile, complete with the list of my employees along with their corresponding duties and responsibilities, as well as a list of all our products and services.
And of course, how could I forget my professional resume?
FOUR: I even looked far into the future and prepared a spiel for when we’d be looking for new employees, as well as a list of rules and regulations to follow if ever anyone would pass our grueling hiring process. My favorite is rule #26, which goes “Drug pushers are not allowed in the store.”
FIVE: While we’re on the topic of business, I guess it’s worth boasting that I was able to sit in a meeting my mom had back in the day with the rest of the members of the Systems and Methods division, and I was asked to take the minutes for a change. I’m aware I’m making absolutely no sense, but after much inferring, I guess it revolves mainly around IT, monitoring procedures and AARs.
SIX: I was a proponent for self-help at a very young age too, creating a list of five rules to live by, which I referred to as my “straight line project”. For which reason, I have absolutely no clue. One part reads: “Always watch out for a kid bullying some one so you can save the person being fought, then do the same thing that the bully kid did to your friend like for example when they are fighting in a swimming pool that the bully is trying to push your friend, you should save your friend and push the bully kid to the pool.” I advised. Turns out I had an attitude and a knack for retributive justice from the very start.
SEVEN: I also found a couple of letters I addressed to Santa as the Christmas season approached, where I requested everything from “world peace” to the entire Diary of A Wimpy Kid series. Talk about being a versatile queen! My favorite of the bunch was the last one I made, where I included directions and a sketch to get to our new house, because we had moved residences earlier that year. I just didn’t want Santa to get lost, and sneak in my old house only to find out that I was no longer there.
(Fortunately, my mom was able to print out all those files I had saved to the family computer before I promptly infected it with a virus that wiped out its entire memory. The lengths seven year old Angel would go just to download Young Guns by Wham! from Limewire.)
EIGHT: I was elected as class president multiple times in grade school, which you would think would mold me into becoming an active student leader. But, my term was constantly shrouded in controversy. I was always tasked to write down the list of noisy students on the blackboard, I’m not exactly sure if this qualifies as public humiliation but I wasn’t concerned with that at the time and did everything I could to fulfill my duty. A classmate of mine was singing a High School Musical song at the top of her lungs, and I asked her to stop. Usually, that does the trick and sends the noisemaker back to their seat but she ran out of the room and brought her mom upstairs because she got upset.
NINE: I also rode on a classmate’s bag, which resulted in her mom going upstairs (I have no idea why their moms spent the entire day in the waiting room on the first floor too, man) and scolding me, saying that her daughter’s bag is not a pony. I was also accused of calling my classmate stupid because she was only Top 7 out of all the students in class, while I was Top 1, which was false by the way since “stupid” was considered a curse word in our household until I was 10. Perhaps the best scuffle I got myself into was because I had checked my classmate’s homework with red crayon and put several drawings of hearts and stars, as well as reassuring comments along the lines of “Great job!” and “Congratulations!” around his perfect score. His father literally had me sent to the principal’s office. Parents then had way too much time on their hands, I swear to God.
TEN: If we don’t take into consideration the whole fiasco that involved my Teletubbies stuffed toy*, my first brush with “love” happened when I was in kindergarten. I had a crush on one of my classmates named Kevin, who is the scrawny little boy that you see beside me in the pictures below. I don’t remember anything else about him, not even his surname, and I haven’t heard of nor seen him since our pre-school graduation ceremony. All I have to remember him by are these photos, and a video that my mom took of both of us where he was seen flapping his arms around and making weird facial expressions, while I would squirm out of kilig in response. Weird. The worst part of it all? I didn’t even like him because he was cute or funny or nice to me: it’s just because he was named after my favorite Backstreet Boy.
(*In case anyone's curious, up until I was about three years old, my parents and I lived in Malabon with my maternal grandmother, who was tasked with taking care of me while my mom and dad were both at work. She was fond of watching Filipino teleseryes while taking care of me: they often had their fair share of kissing scenes, but I was practically a baby at the time who wasn’t capable of processing or remembering the things she was seeing on TV. Or so they thought. My mom said she had walked on two year old me making out with my cousin’s Teletubbies stuffed toy one time. She then promptly asked my lola if they could keep me as far away from the television as possible once Pangako Sa’Yo came on. Can’t blame her for that, honestly.)
That’s all I can think of right now, but I know there’s plenty more where that came from. Hope everyone is having a fruitful Holy Week celebration. Wishing you nothing but love and light, always always always.
Angel

1, 2, 8, 11, 15 :)
these are so deep I really have to think about them.
if someone wanted to really understand you, what would they read, watch, and listen to?
mmmh my family quotes a lot of things included Clerks the Animated Series, Anchorman, commericals from the 1960s. But thats mostly my dad rubbing off the rest of my family. If you wanted to understand me? I think you would have to read fanfiction. There is nothing quite like it and I have spent most of my free time reading it since I was 12. Watch? Probably Red v Blue. It’s exactly my humor and I love it. Also Bake Off. I am very noncompetitive and thats what I would be like in a tv show. And listen, I am going to say the podcast Nancy. It so perfectly describes what its like to be queer and I cry anytime I listen to it.
have you ever found a writer who thinks just like you? if so, who?
This is an interesting question. I don’t usually seek out writers because they think the same as me. Rather I seek out writers who show me something new. I will say that I began to read memoir because I loved the interior of women’s thoughts. The first one that turned me on to memoirs was Crazy Brave by Jo Harjo. Probably my favorite is Just Kids by Patti Smith. Although neither of these women are anything like me. Both had children very young, both experienced homelessness. But I think I was so mesmerized by how women navigate and investigate the world. Where we are alike and where we are disimilar. One fiction book where I felt so connected to a character, even though we were nothing alike was Ivy Abereen’s Letter to The World. Its a middle grade book about a girl figuring out her sexuality while she suffers through relocation after a hurricane. I was very different from Ivy, but the author could write so clearly about confusing gay feelings, and just being angry all the time when it feels like no one is listening. 5/5 book.
8. what musical artists have you most felt connected to over your lifetime?
Well when I began to listen to music I listened to what my brother listed to. I would say two of my parents where Green Day and Linkin Park. I listened to these as early as kindergarten. My first personal venture into music was Kelly Clarkson. Come Undone was huge when I was in 5th grade. In middle school I was pretty into Three Days Grace. I don’t really remember what I listened to in high school. Probably Imagine Dragons (i’ve seen them in concert 3 times). In college I went through a phase where I realized that I didn’t have my own music identity really. I got really into spotify’s discovery weekly. I would listen to 30 sec clips and decide if I wanted to get to know the song. I would then add it to a playlist called “experiment” which I was supposed to listen to for an hour a week. When I listened to a song enough times, I would either add it to “my songs” or I would delete it forever. This did not work. It was supposed to be capped at 100 songs and its at about 600 right now. BUT what I learned. I ventured a bit into electronic music and now I hate it. I need to be able to hear the instruments. I still recommendations for it today. What I landed it on was actually the music in Welcome to Night Vale. So I went from alt and punk rock to more indie rock. Now I mostly either listen to my music on shuffle or listen to showtunes (another staple in my life) but the last group I was obsessed with that got added was Harry Styles. When is he releasing new music??? To be honest, I don’t listen to a lot of music anymore. I mostly read audiobooks or listen to podcasts now. I also got back into Sum 41 and Fleetwood Mac recently (what a combo lol).
11.describe your ideal day.
Wake up at about 9:30 am. I have nowhere to be. I eat a late breakfast. Something with fried eggs. After a prolonged breakfast, I decide to take a short nap and go back to sleep. A wake up in time for lunch. In the afternoon, I read a book, maybe take a trip to the library. Maybe I have an academic discussion with someone but I don’t have any pressing homework. I have a nice dinner (potatoes, or tomato soap, or poutine, or sushi). I watch youtube videos until about midnight and go to bed early. Or I have a few drinks at a bar with friends but I am home by 10.
15. five most influential books over your lifetime.
I love this question!!! okay. 1) Bridge to Terebithia- first book that made me fall in love with reading. 2) Hope Was Here - my first favorite book. everything I like in a book. A new york teenager moves to small midwestern town and falls in love with it. The short order cook becomes her step father and wants to run for mayor against the local villain who has been major for like 20 years. She does everything she can to dismantle the local government and get her new stepfather in seat. 3) Hero by Perry Moore. Second favorite book. Also one of the early books that I read because it was gay. Angst! Gay! Superheroes! What is not to love! I am so sad that the author died after one book. 4) The Outsiders. I think I just like to suffer. All of these are sometimes or majorly sad but hopeful. 5) Crazy Brave by Jo Harjo. Got me interested in nonfiction. I now actively seek memoirs by poets of color because of her. (Just Kids is also a memoir of a poet)
Honorable mentions: Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson, Impulse by Ellen Hopkins, Just Kids by Patti Smith, The Fire Next Time by James Baldwin, The Color of Water by James McBride,

Kim Possible season 3 recap
And here is part 3 of my KP marathon notes. Obligatory thanks to @fereality-indy for encouraging me to watch this awesome show.
So, what will happen this this time? Will Kim Possible save another kitten from a tree? Will Ron discover something better than nachos? Will Doctor Drakken release the Krakken? Will Shego puncture her ego? Will Lord Monkeyfist buy Club Banana just because he is bonkers? Will Duff Killigan finally score?
So, let’s see what’s the first big problem KP has to deal with!
Kim being alone on a Friday evening. Okay.
Also, amusingly, everyone is doing something on a Friday evening, including the villians.
Motorhead turns out to be Drakken’s cousin. okay.
And people know the address of Draken’s lair bc of mailing list
See, it’s the little touches like those that make this show a very accurate portrayal of superheroes and villians.
KP gets jealous of Ron’s friend in wheelchair because they spend too much time together playing video games, so she has to find a way to “fit in”.
Okay, so they can approach it in a sensible and subtle, or so-cringe-worthy-and-painful-the-skip-button-presses-itself way.
So, which did they choose?
painful it is
Few stupid scenes later, Draken STEALs THE WHEELCHAIR FROM A DISABLED KID
shego: what’s next, stealing lolipop from a baby?
and there is a brilliant running joke about it
is it ableist to say that a joke about disabled person is “running”? Well, this is tumblr you gotta be carfeul
Anyway, turns out that Drakken and Jake the Dog make an actual competent combo, even though they end up in prison. And momma Lipski is still clueless about her son’s profession
Next ep: KIM CHANGED HER HAIR! and she looks cute
Ron is a pickle, but that’s normal
Draken and shego steal moodulators (get it?) from random scientist #464
Shego: if you are so smart why do you always steal instead of inventing things yourself
Draken: it’s called outsourcing, shego
God d amit, that is a smart show.
And of course moodultaors accidentally fall on KP and SHego, so they act random throughout the day. And boy it is weird when it’s set to loveskick
Shego: steals lolipop from a baby for Drakken because she luvs him
KP turns into a proper stalker mode for her Ronnie
And Monique is completely fine with it.
and then kim KISSED him!!!
OMG NOSEBLEED
And then poor Ron has no idea what to do with dating KP so suddenly, and the whole scene where he debates what to do is absolute gold with a punchline that defies expectations.
Draken and Shego go on a date and boy it is weird. SHE CATWALKS TO HIM
I can already see Disney censors thinking when it’s going to be too much for The Mouse
and kim’s dad threatens to send ron to a black hole when he takes her on a date
Also the random professor wants to sell his no-longer-existent moodulaTors on auction and he thinks about blaming it on the mail. You know, i’ve seen some approaches how to handle a world where superheroes/villians/geniuses live in our society (like in BNHA, for example), but KP so far makes it the best approach, because it makes them so relatable.
And boy the finale is satisfying because everything completely backfires
Shego and KP got stuck in an anGry mode, and chase their boys. Ron tries to hide in the same place as drakken
Drakken: Dibs!
Ron: Double dibs!
Drakken: all right, you won with your superior dib-calling (ACTUAL QUOTE)
And the day is saved thanks to the power of friendship and not that Kp and ron are definitely in love with each other
KP, Ron, Drakken and Shego somehow manage to get into Tv, where they visit parodies of famous shows
Honestly, meh. I remember a similar episode of Teen Titans, that one was funny as heck.
and then we find out who’s the real villian of the middleton high: THE SCARY LIBRARIAN!
And turns out Ron accidentally put a book Kim rented in his backpack, causing her to get into trouble doing library duties.
So he goes on a mission to revisit all of the bad guys they fought to see where he might have left it
Okay: calling it now, it’s still in his backpack
Shego: Where’s Possible?
Ron: She’s not my girlfriend!
Shego: Never said she was.
And Ron accidentally saves the world on that book hunt
Lord Monkey:Ron Stoppable!
Ron: You’re the only one, who remembers my name, I respect that
Okay, so Wade can make stuff invisible. Like, how?
And there we go: the book it was in his backpack all the time.
Oh, and Ron takes a book from Lord Monkeymonkey contaning a spirit of a monkey demon.
And he returns to the library, saving Kim from being bored to death by retunring the book.
GUESS WHICH ONE HE RETURNED.
Oh, it was another half-episode. Weird.
And the next one is about giant bugs. Interesting how Kim tells Ron not to be afraid of bugs, and next moment she’s all squirmish while Ron befriends a giant roach and calls him Roachie.
KP: Ron, did you start working on the project? it was supposed to be autobiographical
ron: No, I’m waiting for it to write itself.
WE MIGHT GET RUFUS’ BACKSTORY!
Oh, and Drakken tried to take over the world with shampoo. Honestly, it’s funny as heck
he tries smarty mart to sell it
he even makes loreal-style ad, but it doesn’t sell
so he tries product placement in a hip hop song, and the artists is like “Aw, hell no”
And then
and then
turns out that Shego and Drakken are having karaoke night every friday.
God dammit, i don’t know why but that is beyond funny
and turns out that Drakken can sing.
and shego points out that he could sing about the shampoo
so he goes to an american idol
And I think I realise what really makes it funny: Kp is barely in this episode, helping ron with homework. No evil-doing is actually done, we only get to see, for the most part what goes behind the scenes of an evil plan that is so insanely and unnecessary convoluted it is beyond belief.
OH, AND kp GETS TO RIVAL HIM ON STAGE, OF COURSE.
people hypnotised by the shampoo so far: one (1) random henchman
one (1) old TV producer in a sauna
one (1) Simon Cowell
And...holy shit, his song is actually good.
And instead of KP, who is busy fighting the mean lean green machine, Ron sings about Rufus. The song is titled “Naked Mole Rap”. And it is FREAKING PHENOMENAL.
Oh, add one (1) Shego to the list.
Okay, so far that is the most crazy episode. Like, seriously, the quality was through the roof.
SCRATCH THAT NEXT EP is EVEN WEIRDER
So, the Team Impossible, which we have learned about in the movie, is angry at KP for saving the world for free, whereas they actually charge people for it.
And they try to cut Kim from all of her world-traveling assets and knock her out of competition.
THAT IS FUCKING V ILE
And they hack Wade
AND TURNS OUT YOU DON’T FUCK WITH WADE
YOU DON’T CUT THEIR INTERNET CABLES OF A NERD
SINCE THIS IS ONE WAY TO MAKE AN OBESE SUPER GENIOUS WALK OUT OF THEIR ROOM
AND HE LOOKS SO FREAKING BAD-ASS WHEN HE STORMS INTO THEIR HEADQUATERS
aaand TI is defeated the same way they would have been defeated had they answered the call.
Pretty funny, and it does go into the details of how on Earth superheroes work in this world.
And we have another episode about the secret ninja high school Ron was sent to
And Yori travels to US for Ron
And Kim is super jelaus
Wade: Kim, you are jelly
Kim: So not
Monique: You are jelly
Kim: So not
Kim: *is jelly*
So she pretty much stalks Ron all the way to the school, and nearly fails the mission of trying to save the levitating magical jedi principal. Seriously, he’s OP as fuck.
And he’s escaping from a huge monkey. turns out it’s crazy dna lady who turned herself into monkey for Lord Britishmonkey.
Next episode is bascially one huge satire on the movie industry, down to the title (”and The mole rat will be CGI”). KIm and Ron accidentally crash a movie set, after Senior Senior Junior crashes it first since he accidentally applied for a role of a henchman in said movie.
It was supposed to be set in Britian, but the movie set was in New Zealand, since “it was cheaper”
And I was like
Is that a “Lord of The rings” joke? Someone tell me if I’m right.
Oh, and we have another long episode WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE IS ANOTHER MOVIE?
And it looks like it’s a three-part episode again, I wonder if the formula’s gonna work again.
The beginning feels like a short promo scene for people who might not know what KP is about, and I’m not gonna lie, this sums it up perfectly. Action, drama, explosions, more drama, goofy ron, naked mole rat kicking ass and more drama. By the way, what;s the title?
I guess the intro is an homage to the James Bond ones, with lots of colourful, surreal visuals floating in the background to the soothing, slow music. Love it, too bad it’s short, but again, it had to fit an episode’s running time.
wait so the Nakasumi president CAN speak English? Even the movie calls him wacky for whispering all the time as if he couldn’t.
Okay, now the movie just fucks with us.
mr and mrs possible almost switch their cloaks with important documents, but she switches them back just at the last moment
mr posible ALMOST deletes his work file worth three billion dollars but undos it at the last moment.
it’s like the plot TRIES to start itself
And I bet the key is under the doormat
So the dating drama IS going to be the theme of the movie, huh.
Wade: Drakken has been spotted in the Bermuda triangle
Bermuda triangle: *turns out to be a hotel*
And Ron just happened to have his suit under the scuba diving gear.
Shego proves to be once again, way more competent than Drakken.
and we have obligatory fight between two kickass ladies in dresses and high heels. This IS a James Bond movie.
So, the prom drama continues, and it is sadly kinda goes into the cringe territory, with some new dude falling in love with Kim and Kim falling for him, Ron feeling sad, they both being conflicted, yep, seen it.
But for once Drakken helps the cause and moves the plot forward, stealing some super project from dr Possible.
he deletes the file like he did in the opening, but GASP drakken has some mind reading machine
I do wonder if the coat switcheroo is going to be part of the plot.
Holy shit
Drakken’s plan is so crazy that it actually makes sense. Take over the buneo nachos and put kiddy meals in it with robot toys that take over the world. And neither kim nor Shego could have forseen it.
And more prom drama. Ugh.
I always like when Possible family work together to stop the evil-doers.
So Drakken’s plan was brilliant, minus the part when the entire army of robots shuts down when the signal goes off-line. Kinda a major fuck-up.
And they kindapped Kim’s boyfriend to lure her.
OH, SO HE WAS A SYNTH ROBOT
I genuinely didn’t see that coming.
Drakken learns Ron’s name, yeah! And it’s shot like Drakken’s yelling a curse to the skies, love it.
Also, HOLY SHIT, Kim kicks Shego into the tower so hard it looks like she was about to kill her. Like, that was genuinely chilling moment, especially with an ominous, lightning-filled close-up onto her later.
Spoiler: she didn’t die.
Okay, colour me confused: I didn’t think that Kim and Ron were going to kiss and start dating now, I thought this movie was going to be one huge prequel to a movie by the end of S4. Or more precisely, it feels weird NOW, knowing that there is a whole season ahead of me. Cos that felt like a pretty good end of a series, something akin to the Last Airbender one, so I’m slightly concerned how it’s going to be played into season 4, cos this can go haywire pretty easily.
Uh, not going to lie, I’ve got mixed feelings about the movie. On one hand, it gave us a proper evil plan from Drakken, one that attacks Kim psychologically, showing that for once, he DID his homework and actually studied Kim’s behaviour. On the other, the prom/dating drama is kinda painful to watch, but fortunately gets resolved in the end. Maybe it’s just me, but I had the same expression as Rufus when he and Ron said that guys don’t talk about feelings. It felt kinda clumsy and not subtle at all, and what’s worse, the show itself did way better job of portraying romance in previous episodes, most notably the moodulator one. But as I said, those last few scenes with Ron and Kim fighting together does make up for it.
also, Rufus once again is the unspoken hero. He did so freaking much, including, but not limited to: saving ron from the tentacle monster, freeing kim and ron, defeating the synth boyfriend, pushing Kim and Ron together... He really is a badass.
So, not a bad one, though I preferred the first movie. Also, on the whole Season 3 was significantly shorter than second. Wonder what’s gonna happen in the next season.

Imazing For Mac
You may have come across a time when you accidentally drop your phone into the toilet, drop it from the third floor of a building, or drop it into the gap between the train and the platform. And then, you realize that you haven’t backed up your phone since you bought it.
So, you buy a new one from the Apple Store and restore everything from scratch with just your bare hands. Life shouldn’t be that difficult and complicated. That’s why iMazing is here to help.
What is iMazing?
iMazing is an iPhone data manager that lets you easily transfer stuff back and forth between your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and Mac and Windows PC, as well as backing up your old iDevice and restoring the data to your new one.
IMazing is a file manager for iPod, iPhone, or iPad. It can transfer any type of files between any device and any computer, Mac or PC, via a high-speed USB or Wi-Fi connection. IMazing sports a.

My Personal Take
For my testing, the ability to add ringtones to my iPhone from my MacBook Air with iMazing is awesome. In the past, if you want to have your custom ringtones, you have to download Garageband and Documents by Readdle from the App Store, download the song you want using Documents by Readdle, shorten it using Garageband and select it as your ringtone in Settings. Now, all I have to do is download the song I want, save it to my MacBook Air, drag it into iMazing and That’s it!
However, for transferring items between my iPhone and MacBook Air, I prefer AirDrop as I’m in the Apple ecosystem. I can transfer photos, videos, texts, websites, notes, files and more with just a tap. No need to connect iPhone or drag and drop items. Plus, the process takes less than 10 seconds. And, AirDrop is built into every Apple device running iOS 7 or later.
As for Backing up and restoring backups, the process is pretty much the same as iTunes. Except for one thing: the price. iMazing is a paid app. Below are the configurations:
Single Plan: US$45
Universal Plan: US$50
Family Plan: US$70
Honestly, when you can basically do everything with a built-in app called iTunes, why would you pay for a third-party app, plus it isn’t cheap.
Conclusion
To sum up, I would say iMazing is a great alternative to iTunes because it’s simpler, easier to use, and more efficient. However, I’m in Apple’s ecosystem so AirDrop is better for me. And, I won’t recommend Windows users to try it, because you can easily download iTunes from the Windows Store and it’s free. Again, why will you pay for another app that does the same thing?

2017
Hello, Tumblr friends!
I haven’t been very active on here now that TGW’s over and I’m working full time, but I wanted to share some of my favorite books and shows of 2017.
Shows in No Particular Order Except Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is First:
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Holy shit, this show is on fire this year. This is one of those shows that I got excited about the moment I heard about it, but while I’ve always adored the show’s performances, sense of humor, and musical numbers, this is the first year I’ve been excited about its PLOT.
The Good Place. My favorite Good show of the year (sorry, TGF) by a mile. So creative, innovative, and funny. And what a wonderful cast!
The Good Fight. Because it’s like having more TGW even though TGW is over. And because Diane and Lucca deserved their own show. And because that Pilot is one of the best episodes of TV that aired this year.
Big Little Lies. I thought this would be frivolous and instead it was fantastic. Excellent acting and characterization.
One Day at a Time. I watched and loved a show with a laugh track in 2017. ODAAT is so good and heartwarming and sometimes heartbreaking and the finale will make you cry a lot.
The Bold Type. The fun and feminist show about working millennials that I needed this year.
Underground. A horror/action series about slavery. Emotional and brutal and compelling and a must-watch. I hope it finds a home somewhere else because two seasons were not enough, and it sucks that this show could go away because WGN sucks.
The Americans. I love this show. It’s a drama about Cold War Russian spies and yet it’s a better family drama than most family dramas I’ve seen.
Claws. This is a batshit crazy show with some elements I hate, but it’s tons of fun, has Carrie Preston in a fittingly quirky role, and centers on a female friendship.
The Handmaid’s Tale. I have some criticisms of this show (too much focus on boring men, bad handling of race) but this is a show that sums up 2017 pretty well. Also, Alexis Bledel was fantastic in this. Like. FANTASTIC.
Master of None. A show that’s equally interested in film history and sociology and is therefore something I enjoy.
Better Things. I gave up on this show last year, thinking it just wasn’t my thing. But when I went back to it, I loved it. Also, my friends say “No, Jeff, no!” all the time now, and they don’t even watch the show.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine. This is a show I’ve been watching since it premiered (I’m pretty sure I watched the premiere live), but it’s having a great season. It has a fantastic (and diverse!) ensemble and avoids so many of the tropes comedies tend to fall back on.
Queen Sugar. Queen Sugar is consistently one of the most gorgeously well-directed shows on TV. It’s a wonderful and emotional family drama and I encourage everyone reading this to give it a try.
Alias Grace. I read the book before I watched the show, and while I think I prefer the book (though, thank you, show, for cutting some boring/bad subplots!) overall, this is a really fantastic adaptation. And, of course, it deals with perception and presentation, so of course I loved it.
Insecure. Love this show. Issa’s voice is great and I’m so excited about all the projects she has in development at HBO.
The Deuce. Didn’t think I’d like this one, but I did. I still don’t need the two James Francos, but Maggie Gyllenhaal is so good.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. I’m not sure if this is one of the best shows I’ve seen this year, but it’s pretty good. It suffers from the same problems most of ASP’s shows do, but it’s so enjoyable that hardly matters. I watched it all in one day.
Easy. Another show I think is good but not great. I watched all of season 2 in a day and while some stories are much better than others (it’s an anthology series) I’ve gotten pretty invested in a lot of characters. Also, all the comedians you love/recognize will probably show up for an episode.
I Love Dick. Just watch A Short History of Weird Girls. What an episode!
(I watched other things, too, but these are the ones I wanted to mention.)
Books (in the order I read them):
So, um, I read 102 books this year. A lot of these are 2017 releases but several aren’t. Also, I’ve really loved listening to various podcasts from BookRiot this year, and I can’t recommend Book of the Month Club highly enough. Oh, and Overdrive/Libby! Just hook up your library card and you can check out ebooks! I am also trying to write this quickly so I’m just gonna list titles for this section but I’m always happy to discuss books (and shows!). And. If we are not already Goodreads friends I am happy to add any mutuals (or non-mutuals if you introduce yourself).
My Life on the Road by Gloria Steinem
Commonwealth by Ann Patchett

- Admin L
PS: soulmate AUs are up next ;)
• hmm Lee Euiwoong / Eric pretty much already screams boyfriend material • like do you see his outfits dkshskswi boyfriend • bonus! he is also a really cute squish • when approaching you and in the baby steps of your relationship, he could be quite shy • blushes often and has to pull the hood of his hoodie up the whole time • hesitates to hold your hand or initiate any sort of physical contact • you know, that kind of shyness • especially shy when you’re the one to call or text first
• but actually • we all know our baby boy here is a savage • once you get past the honeymoon stage, Euiwoong’s roastings and savage sayings are a common thing • not even his best friends are safe from his roasts • sometimes it becomes a full diss track • you know his rap skills are out of this world • he is an amazing rapper • usually, he writes really sad, angsty and depressing raps but for you, he writes cute, lovable raps about summer and sunshine and puppies and generally all good things • mainly bc he is inspired by you so much • writes them in a different, secret notebook • but is exposed by Hyungseob when he accidentally leaves it in his backpack • wh00ps • he either radiates joy or angst there is no in between • but you love him either way • he gets really soft when you visit his workroom with food • more specifically, candy • self-proclaimed sweet tooth • he nearly cries when he wakes up to a ‘good morning’ text every morning • or when you randomly send him a paragraph complimenting him and hoping he’s doing well • savages can be soft okay • Euiwoong would be a big fan of matching couple clothes • whenever he goes shopping, he tries to find a similar item for you • if he can’t, he’ll try his best to DIY the clothing item for you • with the help of Jung Jung and Seunghyuk • because does it look like Justin and Hyungseob will survive threading the needle? • maybe not • “oh my god, what is this?” you ask, lifting out yet another couple shirt of the gift bag, giggling • lowkey, you’re a sucker for them • you guys rock them and kill it at Seoul Fashion Week • photographers swarm you guys, thinking you guys are models • well, Euiwoong kind of is an idol too • that IG couple • yes, all of his 133K followers need to know you two are thriving and looking amazing • and there’s no space for anyone else • takes mirror selfies of your clothes almost too often • his fan base has seen your entire closet • DIY prints his rap lyrics on shirts and gifts one of them to you for your birthday • it’s all you ever wear now and Euiwoong can’t wipe the smug look off his face • speaking of faces, this boy is SO handsome • and he knows it, too well in fact • narcissism is off the charts • “ahh, Y/N, I’m definitely the prettier one in this relationship” • “you’re more beautiful on the inside though” • “wait i’m sorry you know I lo - like you” • also really cautious when saying the L word • he’s just waiting for the right time • and so are you • gives you fashion advice like a professional stylist • “no, you should style it with a barrette and not a baseball cap” • this is how you won ‘best dressed’ in Senior year • he hypes himself but not as much as he hypes you • “yassss! that’s my baby!” he yells as he’s recording you admire your outfit in the mirror • makes sure to get all the angles • including your ‘glamorous’ ones, he saves the photos in the ‘blackmail’ album on his phone • “omg babe stop” • he thinks the world of you and never hesitates you reassure you look amazing • “of course you look good, I put that outfit together” • then he kisses the top of your head affectionally • “also because you are such a wonderful person, inside and out.” • give me a minute :”) • Euiwoong is truly an intellectual • You envy him, he’s pretty much the smartest student in the entire school • always makes Dean’s List • everyone loves him • always first in class, while you’re tearing up your report cart littered with mediocre grades • after seeing your upset face, Euiwoong wraps you in his arms and pressing a kiss to your cheek • “aww babe, don’t worry. grades are just a number” • wow okay that didn’t really make you feel any better but • he beams at you, “never fear, I’ll tutor you. You’ll get better in no time. I know you’re really smart” • he’s that kind of guy to draw up a schedule then half-heartedly sticks to it • but he is determined to pull up your F9s to A1s • he’s trying his best pls save him • kisses you awake when you’re falling asleep as he drones on about math • “hey, wake up. we’re almost done, hang in there” • you muster up whatever strength you have and finish up the last couple of sums he assigned you • you’re so tired you end up falling asleep on his shoulder once you’re done with the work • Euiwoong buries you in his hoodie and rubs your back affectionately • luckily, he decided to tutor you at your house and not at the library • so it’s easy to get you into bed • smiles at the sight of sleepy you, you’re very cute 24/7 • he’s packing up to leave when you reach out and grab his wrist • “don’t go.” • anD HE JUST BECOMES A SOFT MESS • “the last bus has left, it’s past midnight already.” you mumble, half asleep • Euiwoong just melts knowing that you care about him, you know he takes bus 152 from the bus stop across the street from your house • but the last bus has gone and it’s too dangerous for him to walk home, especially alone • protect boys too okay • Euiwoong sighs, “well, what do you want me to do then?” • in response, you open your arms wide, inviting him to cuddle • he’s a little more hesitant because he knows your family is around and he’s afraid they’ll get a bad impression of him after that • like why are you in bed with my child wtf what game are you playing • but he eventually succumbs and cuddles you to sleep • it’s super toasty, Euiwoong + comforter + hoodie, perfect for battling the Autumn cold outside • you’re sad he’s gone before you wake up but the post-its on your mirror make you smile again • “you look beautiful all the time” • “I’ll take you to Sephora next week since you’re running low on products” • “my baby always glows” • BLUSH BLUSH BLUSH • Euiwoong loves the heck out of you • and now, your family does too • he stayed long enough to help your parents to prepare breakfast while chatting with them • ah yes they claim Lee Euiwoong as their son-in-law from now on • cliche but for your birthday....remember all those raps he wrote for you because of you • he spends extra time in the studio to produce, record and burn them in a mixtape for you, with the help of his hyungs of course • also available in a digital version • “damn, Euiwoong never made me something so special,” Jung Jung complains but ruffles the younger boy’s hair adoringly • you thought you were surprised when he whipped out the tape • you nearly scream in shock when you analyse his raps • the baddie image has been shed • thE AMOUNT OF SWEETNESS AND FLUFF • nO ONE COULD EVER • iT’S ALL LOVE AND MORE LOVE AND MORE CUTE THINGS ABOUT YOU UGH • when will I ever find someone who will treat me like this • after much coding, you realise that the first letter of each title put together spells ‘My Love For You’ • 12 days of Christmas who? I got 12 raps of how much my boyfriend loves me • you have never been confessed to this way. no one has ever put in so much effort into proclaiming their love for you • Lee Euiwoong is the perfect boyfriend, of course, he does have his shortcomings • like his short temper that strikes on occasion and savage sayings • but you love him for who he is and there really isn’t any other way around it • 10/10 the best boyfriend

Weekly Write Tip: 6 Ways to Beat Writers' Block
So you're a writer.
Or you would be, if your darn brain would just work with you.
Because right now, it's not. Right now, your brain is refusing to write. Your fingers are refusing to type and your hand is refusing to pick up that pen.
Now what?
Well, first things first.
1. Remember: you are not alone in this. I promise.
I get writers' block all the time. So does your favorite novelist. So does your English teacher. So does your favorite fan fiction author, and so does your favorite TV show writer.
I know it doesn't feel okay: I know it feels super lousy.
But writing anxiety -- because really, that's often what we're talking about here -- does not make you a "fake" writer. Having a spell of "non-productivity" does not strip away your writing credentials. Not writing doesn't make you a bad person. It just means you're having a bit of a hold up right now. And we all do. And that's okay. I promise.
2. Don't force it -- practice some self-love and be gentle with yourself.
The most counter-intuitive advice I've ever gotten about pushing through writing anxiety? Don't. And there's a lot of truth there.
Let yourself explore your world; take some photos, lift some weights. Take a stroll, stare aimlessly out the window of that thrumming subway car, that noisy pickup truck.
Phone a friend. Talk about nothing in particular. Gush about the latest Black Panther trailer. (Really. Check it out.)
Be gentle with yourself. Some of the best writing writers do? Is when we're not writing. Because when we're not writing -- when we're living, as best as we know how, as best as our bodies will allow us -- is when our energies recharge, when our souls rejuvenate. And they have to: writing takes a lot out of us!
Just last Sunday, I had scheduled a five-hour block of writing for myself. But I was so depressed I could barely get up to refill my glass of water. So what did I do? I cancelled my writing spree. It's not something I usually do -- I'm a "push through it" kinda person, for better and for worse. But I read Miles Morales: The Ultimate Spiderman for hours on end instead, and wow, was it worth it.
3. Try some music -- or some quiet.
Okay, okay, I can hear you saying.
Sure Jenn, love myself, yadda yadda. I do love myself. And I've tried giving it breaks. I've tried doing other things. But when I come back and try to write, I just... can't.
Fair enough! And good for you: I'm glad you're practicing good self-care.
So. What now?
If you usually listen to music while you write, try switching it off. Or try different tunes. Tunes that are so familiar that you can listen without listening. Tunes without lyrics. Tunes from a playlist you put together about the characters you have in mind, the scene you have on hold, the emotions roiling inside you.
If you don't usually listen to music and you want to, try some! (See above note about playlists, etc.)
Sometimes when my students are writing in class, they ask me to turn on soft music. A Lauryn Hill playlist on Pandora usually does the trick. Maybe it'll work for you, too!
4. Switch up your space.
When I go on eight-hour writing sprees, I can only do it in one chair.
It's a specific chair -- a big grey lump that I can fit my whole body in, complete with a New York City skyline pillow, facing away from the windows, away from the TV. Toward the rest of the living room, but without a real focal point.
For me, the room needs to be pretty darn neat (so, sometimes -- tip 4.5, if you will -- clean your room! Unclutter the space, unclutter the mind, one might say).
But sometimes I get lonely. Sometimes I want to be near people without actually having to interact with anyone (that extroverted introvert -- or is it introverted extrovert? -- life!). So, sometimes I'll shell out three bucks for an iced tea and use that as my entry fee for five hours of coffee shop writing time.
Or, if I want the free version, I'll go to my graduate school's library.
If I'm feeling extra hands on, I'll sprawl out on my living room floor. It turns out, I can't work on my academic writing in the same spots where I write my fiction.
Listening to your body can be hard, but it's talking -- perhaps, it's writing -- to you. Try to hear what it's saying!
5. Find a buddy.
I can never advocate for writing communities enough.
Yes, they can be hostile and yes, they can be pits of casually racist, heterosexist critiques ("I just can't relate to your character"; "can you explain that?"; "I think this is only for a niche audience, so it might help to expand to more universal themes"; "but if your character is Black, shouldn't your book be about slavery or civil rights?" [no, I haven't heard people directly say this last one, but take a look at the book shelves in your local bookshop]).
But, unfortunately, those things aren't unique to writing communities. Those things, horrendously, are the world.
And we have to carve out spaces where we can.
You can find affirming spaces online and you can find them in person. You can find an affirming writing space with your best friend -- you know you text each other in math class anyway, and that's a writing community of sorts! -- or with a teacher or a colleague or that girl you met in Dunkin Donuts who asked you what you're reading (cue Coffee Shop AU). There are free writing workshops in some cities, and never underestimate the power of your local libraries.
Hopefully, you can find writing community here on this site, or over on my tumblr, twitter, or goodreads!
Wherever and however you find it, creating writing communities is well worth it. Some of my most generative writing experiences have happened without a pen in my hand; on the beach with one of my dearest friends (and one of my favorite writers), just talking and laughing about our characters, our plot lines, our worlds.
Those conversations -- and the friendly accountability that can come with them -- can really be the saving grace, that kick of inspiration, that you're looking for.
6. Write anyway.
When we talk about writers' block, we're often talking about anxiety.
Anxiety about what other people will think.
Anxiety that we are not good enough.
Anxiety that we will never be published.
Anxiety that if we don't write, we are not real. That if we don't write, we are worthless.
But we are always -- no matter what we're told -- so much more the sum of our work, the sum of our grades, the sum of our book deals.
I was at the Slice Literary Conference in Brooklyn last fall, and someone said that if your fear has a shape, you are concerned about a legitimate problem with your writing. If your fear is, "this dialogue sounds stilted," it might be (it also might not be, but it's worth having someone else read it -- and/or reading it out loud yourself -- to play with your style and find out).
But if your fear is shapeless -- if it's just an endless pit of anxiety, stemming from formless terror of not being good enough -- then remember that the world needs your voice. The world needs your words. They can always get better -- because we can always get better, and we will, with practice -- but they will never make you worthless. They will never make you not good enough.
I say these things so blatantly because I know that my own anxiety, my particular array of mental health issues, makes me very, very inclined to tie up my sense of self-worth into tangible "accomplishments" or levels of "productivity." I think, as writers, we are almost encouraged to think and feel this way, too.
The way to fight it?
Know that it's not just you. Know that your writing can't be bad if it's not there; but it also can't be good if it's not there.
We talk -- and write -- so much about editing for a reason. If your writing isn't up to par? That's literally what editing is for. So try to get it out, try to let it out: no one has to see it but you, if that's the way you need to start.
Whatever process works for you -- if it's something on this list or if it's the complete opposite of everything on this list -- you do you.
You got this: I know you do!
Write on.
You can start, if you want to, in the comments below -- how do you beat writers' block? Bet you can come up with more awesome ideas than I ever could!

all questions for hazel pleaseee
You best believe I’ve had this tab open for about 4 days now being too lazy to finish… whoops! I got asked the evens before, so here’s the odds + thank you for asking love (sorry I’m useless hahaha)
1. What’s the maximum amount of time your character can sit still with nothing to do?With absolutely nothing to do… about five minutes. If she’s sat binge-watching a series or something…. days.
3. How do they put themselves to bed at night (reading, singing, thinking?)Hazel can fall asleep literally anywhere. Scott once found her leant up against a bookcase in the library out like a light… it’s a talent. 5. How easy is it to earn their mistrust?Just act a little ~suspicious~ and Haze will be onto you. As for fully not trusting someone, she’d require at least a morsel of proof.7. What triggers nostalgia for them, most often? Do they enjoy that feeling?Hazel listens to a lot of music when she’s on her own, and lyrics of songs often trigger memories or feelings for her. Depends on what it is that she remembers as to whether she enjoys the feeling or not because a lot of the time a song will play that she and Maisie used to love and that’s not a feeling she enjoys at present.9. Do they swear? Do they remember their first swear word?At pretty much every opportunity… terribly unbecoming hey, but what can you do?! Her first swear word was probably something like ‘Oh shit’ no doubt. 11. How do they cope with confusion (seek clarification, pretend they understand, etc)?I’ve searched the internet high and low for a gif of Kat looking confused but alas I cannot find one and my internet is too slow…. but Hazel doesn’t mask her emotions from her expression very well so it would be written all over her face like “WTF” before she went ahead and asked for someone to clue her in.
13. What color do they think they look best in? Do they actually look best in that color?Hazel wears a lot of dark colours typically, and honestly who doesn’t look good in black?!
15. How do they speak? Is what they say usually thought of on the spot, or do they rehearse it in their mind first?Absolute word vomit, obscenities and being pretty blunt or sarcastic sums Hazel up pretty well.
17. Are they easily embarrassed? Not really, no. Hazel isn’t particularly fussed about what anyone thinks of her, but she does get embarrassed about being out of control.
19. What is their favorite number?24… any guesses why???
21. Why do they get up in the morning? Well she’s often very reluctant… but, school and saving Beacon Hills on the daily.
23. How does envy manifest itself in them (they take what they want, they become resentful, etc)? Starts blowing things up, being mean to whoever it is she’s envious of… if it’s something menial like the last donut or something she’d probably steal it from them.
25. What are their thoughts on marriage? I don’t think it’s something that Haze spends a lot of time thinking about, but she’d like to get married if it felt right. 27. What causes them to feel dread? Her own powers
29. Do they usually live up to their own ideals? In her own mind, no. Haze is the first to put herself down, and never feels she’s good enough and that often drives her to feeling like just giving up all together but she’s always spurred on to try harder by the thought of letting her friends down. 31. Who are they the most glad to have met?
33. Could they be considered lazy? Oh hell yeah, she’s a ‘typical teenager’ who likes to spend all her time on the couch wrapped in her duvet binge watching shows on netflix. How do they treat the things their friends come to them excited about? Are they supportive? 35. Do they have a system for remembering names, long lists of numbers, things that need to go in a certain order (like anagrams, putting things to melodies, etc)? She’s pretty awful at remembering names actually… so she really should come up with some kind of system but Haze’s the kind to just carry on stumbling through life as she is apologising along the way.
37. How easy is it for them to ignore flaws in other people? Depends on the flaw really, if it’s something that doesn’t make them a bad person then Haze will barely even notice it.
39. How do they feel about children? Pretty ‘meh’ really, she’d like to have some someday but she’s doesn’t go googly eyed around them like some people do.
41. If someone asked them to explain their sexuality, how would they do so?She’d just tell them she’s heterosexual

My Top 10 Favorite Cartoons
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Animation is the greatest art form in the world. It’s film making, painting, doodling, caricature, satire, illusion, literature and music all at the same time. Truly poetry in motion. It simply does not get enough credit for just how miraculous the form can really be. Being the innovation in our culture that it is, making this list was difficult; because every time I thought of a worthy candidate for the list another worthwhile one popped up in my memory. As such, expect an honorable mentions before we get to number one. Before we jump in though, some ground rules.
1. If it’s animation, it counts. It doesn’t matter if it’s western animation or Anime, 2d or 3d, traditional or motion tweened, for children or for adults, for television or on the web. If it involves the cycling of drawn pictures to create the illusion of life then it qualifies.
2. This is not in order of objective quality and is strictly opinion based. Overall quality is a factor, but this list is mostly about how much of an impact it’s had on me as an individual.
enough ado, let’s get into it.
10. Being Ian
It’s more then Likely those of you readers who are American or anywhere besides Canada for that matter don’t know about this show, so in order to make sense of this entry let me provide a bit of information about myself. I am Canadian, and thus grew up with an entire library of Canadian produced shows intended for Canadian audiences. While I think the U.S.’s animation game is undeniably stronger then what we’ve got up north, we had some pretty solid entertainment like 6teen, What’s With Andy?, Total Drama Island, stuff like that. While it’s all well and good, the only thing I regret about our history as animators is that we rarely aim for more fantastical premises and almost always make shows about hijinks in mundane Canadian smalltown life. It’s nice every once in a while but we do it a little too often. I’d kill for a Canadian Adventure Time or Gumball. So why is Being Ian here? Well, the simple answer is this is the show that made me want to get into film making. Seeing as the premise is all about a nerdy kid with his camera trying to make an inspiring career out of his mundane life and constantly imagining scenarios that are treated as homages to famous movies like King Kong, Clockwork Orange, Jurassic Park and so on (many references I didn’t get as a kid) it makes sense that this would make me want to take on the same kind of lifestyle. It put me on live action for a while but as I found my talents are more in line with animation I moved onto it shortly after. Quite honestly, that’s it’s only real reason for being here. The animation is passable but nothing to write home about, it’s comedy got a chuckle out of me at times but isn’t really the most clever show ever (in fact sometimes it relies a little too much on grossout humor, as do most Canadian shows in fact), but the show undeniably played a major role in my development as a person. Also, it’s theme song is by Parry Gripp (the “Do You Like Waffles?” guy) so that’s a plus.
9. Wander Over Yonder
Alright, now that some of the country-based sentimentality is out of the way, let’s get into the really high quality stuff. The stuff with the bright colours, the wacky characters, the emotionally driven storylines and just everything great about cartoons. Craig McCracken is among my favorite animated show producers of all time (as previously stated in another article I wrote: Why Craig McCracken is a genius). This show is the perfect example of his talent and skill. Effectively just Road Runner on an intergalactic level with a touch of The Muppets, Wander Over Yonder is the cartoonist cartoon you will ever watch in your cartoon-filled life. It’s got a great sense of humor, intoxicatingly likable characters like the optimistic too-nice-for-his-own-good Wander, the spunky and adventure loving Sylvia and of course the abundantly evil yet adorable Lord Hater and his number one henchmen Commander Peepers, and it’s animation is miles upon miles in quality in comparison to what you may find on the air most of the time. I think objectively it is one of the finer shows on this list. So why only number 9? Well, the truth is . . . I haven’t watched very much of it. I watched the first season and pieces of the second. I intend to watch the rest once I get a bit more spending money but for now I gotta settle with what I bought, and for a show as high quality as this I refuse to pirate it. But this show left a great impact on me and came into my life when I needed somethin this cheery most. I discovered it when I was coming off of a really hard breakup that was way more difficult then it really needed to be and it bent me out of shape real bad, so putting this on felt like turning the lights in my brain back on. For that I’m really grateful.
8. Avatar: The Last Airbender
Ho man. Who knew Nickelodeon of all networks would make a move as artistic, risk-taking, original and highbrow as Avatar: The Last Airbender?? Oozing with eastern culture influence (so much so that there is an ongoing debate as to whether or not it counts as an anime), hours and hours of some of the most fantastic animation and fight choreography ever to hit the waves of television all done in glorious hand drawn frame by frame no less AND being the premiere of some of the most unforgettable characters in pop culture like the lovable Aang, the witty Sokka, The badass Katara and Toph and the honorable (haha) Zuko, this show is something you absolutely can’t miss out on for any reason at all. I would know as much, because I actually binged watched the whole thing as an adult instead of catching it while it was still on the air even though I was totally aware of it’s existence at the time. I was a stupid, stupid kid. It’s too bad Nickelodeon developed a history of terrible decision making that screwed over the follow-up series The Legend of Korra SUPER hard. All well. This show is fantastic and you need to watch it right now.
7. Venture Brothers
Alright, so at this point I feel an obligation to point out a certain bias I have when picking favorite shows. That bias being my love for superheroes. I. LOVE. Superheroes. They are a bigger chunk of my life then they realistically should be. So fair warning; a lot of these entries are superhero themed, this being one of them. But Venture Bros isn’t just that: it’s one giant satirical love letter to every kind of adventure show you can imagine. It homages everything from James Bond to Indiana Jones to Scooby Doo to Johnny Quest to Superfriends to Marvel Comics. It’s got fast witty dialogue that seamlessly alternates between high and lowbrow in seconds and has an ever expanding cast of great celebrity voices like Stephen Colbert, Clancy Brown, Seth Green and of course the manliest man who ever manned in the history of mankind, Patrick Warburton as Brock Sampson. Testosterone incarnate. The show has great appealing character design and so many memorably hammy characters that all comes together for a great slick style that’s every bit as badass as it is hilarious. You can totally get enraptured in the gut wrenching dialogue while still being invested in the plot full of conspiracy and espionage.
favorite line from this show: “If that were a woman, I’d marry it!” “Yeah, and then I’d jeopardize our friendship by bangin’ yer hot wife!”
6. Cowboy Bebop
Anime fans rejoice; I put the most cliché basic answer for favorite anime on my list! In all seriousness though, Cowboy Bebop is often regarded as the gateway anime for an American audience and rightfully so. It’s heavily influenced by American culture, it’s got a soundtrack comprised almost entirely of Jazz, Blues and Bebop as is it’s namesake, every episode homages some sort of American genre of film like Noir, Sci-fi horror and even Blacksploitation flicks and it’s American dubbing is considered one of the few on par with the original if not better, with Steve Blum giving a cool as ice raspy take on Spike as the lead character as well as the rough but fatherly Jet, the seductive but sensitive Faye and the optimistic child prodigy Edward (who is a girl, in case you don’t know). But none of that would matter if the anime wasn’t good . . . . so it’s a relief that this show KICKS SO MUCH FUCKING ASS THAT IT DOES OH MY GOD!! If I could sum this show up in one word, it’s “cool”. You will never find a show cooler then this. That is a challenge. It’s got great Bruce Lee inspired martial arts action as well as Reservoir Dogs esque shootouts, and most importantly it’s got a lot of heart and dripping emotional tension enraptured in mystery that insists the viewer keep watching to peel back the layers of every character. Through nuance storytelling choices, heavy atmosphere and carefully chosen dialogue this show has a style and edge that will never be known again. Let’s just hope the live action adaptation doesn’t fuck it all up (it’s got Sunrise Pictures backing it though so that’s reassuring).
5. The Simpsons
This gif is just the tiniest taste of the timeless wit behind the golden age of this show. What can I say about the Simpsons that hasn’t already been said before? It’s one of the most culture revolutionizing pieces of all time, let alone the 20th century. It perfected the archetype of the family sitcom, is the longest running American television show in history, was once so ahead of it’s time to predicted the future eerily frequently and has even had some of it’s original dialect like “D’oh!” make it into the dictionary. This show is no doubt one of the largest reasons for our cultures current sensibilities and outlook. Most importantly though, it was just something me and my whole family could watch and bond over. Some of my fondest memories as a kid was getting so excited whenever this show would come on because it was a time where me and all the siblings and our folks would huddle around the couch and all laugh together at some great slapstick, clever one liners and just straight up bizarre jokes at times where the only way you can logically respond is to laugh. It’s too bad this delicious fruit has rotted quite a bit and Fox won’t just send it to compost already. I already wrote up an entire article about why the current Simpsons sucks now so if you’re interested, go check it out. For now, I’m just going to look fondly on it’s golden age through clips, old episodes and internet shitposts.
“Don’t cry for me. I’m already dead.” - Barney.
4. Homestar Runner
Oh, Homestar Runner. Ye ancient relic of the early days of the Internet before youtube. A simpler time when Flash cartoons were all the rage and you can tune into the surreal misadventures of a star spangled armless oblivious dolt and his more popular counterpart, the boxing glove wearing e-mail answering Luchador Strong Bad. When I was very little I was obsessed . . . OBSESSED . . . with Homestar. I think the great appeal of Homestar was that while it was clearly popular enough for references to pop up here and there purely by word of mouth and for the series to eventually get a videogame developed by Telltales and for the creators Matt and Mike Chapman to eventually move on to working for Disney, it was JUST obscure and surreal enough to make its fans feel like they were in a unique and secret club where they could really bond over references to the show and not have it ruined by having the brand just pop up everywhere and anywhere. As hipstery as that sounds, my point is that Homestar felt like a Niche where problems were simple, everything was up for ridicule and old Atari and computer games were always cool. They went on a hiatus for a few years and only recently came back with a little cartoon every once in a while (nothing regularly scheduled though) but if you want to dabble in a little bit of early 2000s lighthearted weirdness then I highly suggest checking out their website. I’ll link to it down below.

3. Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends
When I first came up with the idea to do this list this was the first show to immediately pop in my head. I just get into a good mood whenever I think about this show. It’s colour scheme, it’s wildly imaginative characters, it’s silly yet offbeat sense of humor, it’s great pacing. Mostly it’s premise is just so ingenious you have to wonder how nobody ever thought of it before. This show is the sole reason why Craig McCracken is among my absolute favorite Animation Directors. Everytime I heard the intro to this show come on as a kid I had to immediately stop whatever it is I was doing and catch a hilarious episode. This was a show my sister really liked too, so much so she learned how to play the theme on the piano. Whether it was letting awkward tension build or immediately escalating to a high speed chase, this show would always keep me giggling the entire way through. Not to mention some of it’s episodes were really heart wrenching and actually made me choke up a bit. I know leave you with one of it’s funnier bits.

2. Teen Titans
That superhero bias I was talking about is coming back with a vengeance. This show is great for a lot of the reasons I really like previous entries in this list actually. It’s got a great art style that’s heavily anime influenced, a cast of diverse and unforgettable characters (with my childhood favorite being the quirky and wise cracking Beast Boy and my adulthood favorite being the hilarious, innocent and lovable Starfire), a hell of a lot of heart that makes me tear up in some of it’s most emotional moments, FANTASTICALLY fluid and suspenseful action (once again done in glorious classical animation), a great soundtrack with a hype as hell opening number that’s so good I have it on Spotify, all sorts of homages to action show tropes as well as nods to the larger DC universe and takes itself the right amount of seriously to let some of it’s sillier aspects shine. I distinctly remember seeing the first episode when it came on for the first time and getting instantly hooked. Every main character in this show is cast spot on and give some of the most memorable performances I’ve ever heard. Plus it’s a show that only gets better with time . . . especially in comparison to . . . that other show.
Before we get into number one, here are some honorable mentions: Rick and Morty, Disney’s Recess, One Piece, The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Clone High, Samurai Jack, The Legend of Korra, The Amazing World of Gumball, Steven Universe, Fairly Odd Parents, Danny Phantom, Young Justice, Spectacular Spider-Man, 6teen.
1. Justice League Unlimited
Let’s take a moment to appreciate just how Amazing Bruce Timm’s take on the DC universe is, because . . . oh man . . . it is masterful. The stupendously likable characters, the intense action and suspense, the drama, the fast paced and impactful action and animation, the simple yet effective character design, the ever engrossing storylines. These are just some of the reasons why Bruce Timm is my favorite animated show developer of all time. There have been many great DC shows to come after this like Batman: Brave and the Bold or Young Justice, but none of them come close to the majesty of Justice League: Unlimited. When it comes to Bruce Timm shows most people would put Batman: The Animated Series higher up there, and while I without a doubt respect it’s legacy the fact that it’s Bruce Timm’s earliest show as director for the DC universe is pretty prominent in it’s pacing, action and to an extent it’s line delivery. The show moves rather sluggish and has more then a few issues in it’s animation, especially in it’s first season. I don’t hold that against the show in any way as it’s still very impressive for what it is, but you can tell Timm and his crew were just beginning to hone their style and would go through some growth pains further down the road. Justice League had some remnants of these problems here and there but they were beginning to shake these issues off. JLU is where Timm’s style got perfected. Perfect pacing, perfect line delivery, perfect animation, perfect action sequences where you can feel the impact of every punch and blow, perfect storytelling, and most impressively perfect juggling between the largest cast of characters Bruce Timm has tackled in his run. While Justice League would keep it between the original 7 in terms of juggling, JLU would take on characters like Green Arrow, Captain Marvel, Huntress, Black Canary, The Atom, Vigilante and so many more and make them all just as likable as the main cast if not more at times. And of course, there is the number one reason to watch the show . . . The Question.
God, do I love the Question. This show is the sole reason he is my second favorite DC character (first being the Flash). But anyway, to wrap it up, Bruce Timm once said in an interview that JLU was his favorite work because it was the only show he could keep going back to and continue to enjoy. I wholeheartedly agree.
So that’s my list. I hope you saw some of your favorites on there, and if not just enjoy what you enjoy and keep this medium alive dammit!

Monday Chat #4 – Response to “Google’s Ideological Echo”
Originally this was going to be about some of my older writing on the blog, but my friend just happened to tell me about some drama going on in Google that I think fits pretty well with stuff I’ve talked about in my past (2014) articles, so I figured it would be better for a Monday Chat.
Just yesterday (August 5th as of writing) a pastebin was leaked from apparently an anonymous engineer working at Google, decrying their overarching corporate goal of diversity due to its effect of silencing certain ideas for solely “moral reasons” and forcing a completely equal corporate society where one doesn’t have to exist. As always, many have already thrown the essay off as inherently sexist – however, word from inside says that many of the engineers, no matter their background, agree with what it says. So, I figured I might as well take a neutral look to see whether or not this really does have some merit.
The essay starts with the writer defining some of his language, just as left and right political bias, psychological safety, as well as Google’s own biases (I won’t go into detail his precise definitions, as they’re extensive and also pretty much how they’re used in the everyday. If you’d like to see them yourself you can read the pastebin for itself. I’ve included a link below my thoughts). He describes that Google tends to have an extremely left wing bias, which is where its extensive diversity mantra comes for, and that it is generally bad for any business to have an extreme political stance (which is true). After this then comes the more controversial part of this so-called manifesto.
The writer decides to explain some of the biological differences between male and female, and how that might explain why not as many females go into the software engineering side of the workforce. His first point is spot on – the concept between empathizing versus systematizing. This concept explains that women tend to be more attached to people than to things (and men vice versa) which causes them to pick jobs that follow this logic, such as teachers, psychologists, and doctors, just to name a few. And this makes sense – these jobs have a much greater percentage of females working in them than men, while men work in more technical jobs such as software engineering. And really, there’s nothing wrong with this – a teacher is easily as economically valuable as an engineer (for if there are no teachers, where come the engineers?). These social jobs were once primarily suited toward men, due to an actual case of gender discrimination. Now, that’s not to say that their can’t be female engineers – biology and genetics aren’t end alls, especially when it comes to humans, and so there should definitely be a sizable group of girls wanting to become engineers and scientists, and they should have all the right to hold those jobs. But you can’t force a girl who doesn’t want to be an engineer to be an engineer – just like you can’t force a boy who doesn’t want to be a teacher to be a teacher.
His second point here is a bit more questionable. He states that women are more agreeable over assertive, and therefore have a harder time negotiation for salary, asking for raises, speaking up, and leading. I’ve found that this concept is pretty universal among all human beings, not just women. Many people will go for the easy but small win rather than the hard but big one just because they’re too afraid to speak for themselves, and I’ve never really seen this connected to women specifically outside of typical discriminatory portrayals. I feel that there is a large amount of weak, agreeable people in this world and a small amount of strong, assertive ones and that this is not dependent on gender, nor any other case – especially not biologically.
Same general feeling with his third claim – that women tend to be higher in neuroticism. I’d actually argue the exact opposite for this – in highly stressed environments, women tend to react more solemnly, whereas men deal with their situation with high anxiety. It’s also more common for higher intelligent males to pick up the trait of neuroticism than it is for higher intelligent females to. After this, he makes a few smaller claims which I all disagree with – such as “men have a higher drive for status” and “women are on average more cooperative” – but I’ll save talking about those and instead come back to his main point.
Where I completely agree with him is the fact that companies – and in fact, people in general – should not moralize ideas in order for them to be bulletproof. The concept of “diversity” shouldn’t be invincible from argument because its, well, “diversity” – in fact the only concepts that should be invincible from argument is fact and truth itself. But diversity is not in its entirety fact and truth – there is parts of diversity that is derived from facts and truth, but the concept itself is not completely impenetrable. And, of course, there is business fact that taking such a far left ideological stance not only hurts your employee’s opinion of you (such is the matter of this pastebin) but also might ward off potential workers as well. So I do believe all of the writer’s suggestions are sound. As for the people throwing this off as blatant and inherent sexism – well, I know it’s a long read, but I feel like making generic defamation articles without actually reading the work seems pretty silly, no?
But really, overall this is probably one of the more poorly construed calls for action that I’ve seen. A lot of it does get muddled in the core of the piece – making multiple assumptions on the opposite gender always seems like a pretty bad idea, as human beings and our naturally contradictory nature don’t tend to follow the stereotypes all that often (which is why I’d say take my own assumptions with a grain of salt). But, as for the idea of Google moralizing certain parts of their policy so that others cannot argue against it, it’s clearly a bad idea that doesn’t exactly work in the companies favor. In sum: If someone wants to be an engineer, let them be an engineer. If they don’t, then don’t. If someone wants to speak up against a policy, let them do so and then argue for or against it formally and logically. No topic is too holy to be argued – what one should do is show with facts and truth why diversity is as good as it is, don’t completely dismiss arguments against it in calling in “belligerently sexist”. I have seen some articles that have in fact taken this stance, taking what the pastebin says and making the arguments of why it is completely wrong. And while I am more in the gray area in terms of how I feel about it, I can find myself appreciating those who argue for or against it without just saying “its completely sexist so you shouldn’t even read it” or “google is an authoritarian SJW engine trying to destroy us with its liberal propaganda”. And that’s the conclusion I find myself writing at the end of all of these, but people still seem to not get it, and so I have to repeat myself every time. Oh well!
Link to the pastebin: https://pastebin.com/nJwfKjZc
Currently reading: I’ve begun to focus solely on House of Leaves and the Military Battles book, as I’m the farthest in both and am honestly just ready to finish them. I’ve also started back up my e-library after my last one with 5,000+ books was destroyed in a terrible accident (Library of Alexandria 2.0). I’ve decided that this time I’m not going to bulk download and instead just add a few at a time and read them. I’ve added a couple of science and mathematics papers as well as a few literature classics like Pride and Prejudice and Moby Dick. I’ll get around to them… eventually.
Currently playing: My attempts last week of organizing what I play have gone horribly awry, and I’m now at the point where I have to hold off what I play because I straight up don’t have enough space on my computer to handle it. I’ve started playing, among others: Rise of Nations, Empire Earth, Age of Empires 2 (I think I included this last time?), and Mount of Blade Warband (which includes a bunch of mods I installed, which is why it makes up the bulk of my playtime). Something’s got to go here.
Currently watching: Much more fruitful have been my attempts to organize what I watch. I’ve decided to go down the infamous “1001 films you must see before you die” list, speaking that I’ve already got 60 of them down I figure I might as well tackle the beast. Right now I’m on Les Vampires, a crime series from 1915 which is considered to be the first miniseries ever made. And to be honest, for being completely silent and in black and white this thing is pretty damn entertaining – though the fact that it’s 6 hours long in total has me worried. As for TV, I had actually planned to drop Game of Thrones this week but Showtime changed the show time (!) of Twin Peaks to one hour earlier without telling anybody so I was forced to watch Game of Thrones yet again while I waited for the Twin Peaks rerun. On a much better note because of this I ended up staying for a playing of the newest two episodes of Rick and Morty which were actually surprisingly great. I’ve always had a grudge for this show based on its obnoxious marketing schemes (this newest one was particularly bad) so I had never watched the show until now. But… at least the show’s good I guess? Also planning on seeing Dunkirk in theaters tomorrow (or today as of writing).
Currently listening: Not much new. Some Scum Fuck Flower Boy and some of the Dunkirk soundtrack. That’s about all for new music!
Well, that’s all for now. Remember to follow Codex of Aegis on Twitter and Facebook for more updates.

30-01-19 (Tumblr Return)
Hello,
watching Grumps in the morning. That’s about all I’ve got for now. I’m going to go out and get some shopping later. It’s Wednesday. I’m going to get around to stuff I have to do too. I’m just bullshitting for the padding of this diary entry. Lost the will to live. To LIVE. To do things. Apathy has set in. Before I guess it was all about getting ready for home. I just feel fat.I’m having a fat day. Okay that’s just stupid but I’m going to be doing stuff.
It’s so chilly out. I want to get some shopping and get a book from the library. Oh, actually I wanted 1984 to read first and then see the film but they’re all out on loan at the moment. Except the complete works… hang on, deep breath, which I borrowed but then it got returned while I was away and I don’t want to go to town to get it today. Phew.
I could think of hospital as like a [Edit 01-02-19: personal] war thing. I know it sounds stupid but it’s all over now. With lower military development. Ie: calm now, we just had a war.
Thought of this from the above image. That’s from DomiNations. It’s quite a fun little game for the iPhone. It’s a kind of condensed version of Age of Empires except later on it takes age to train/learn/research things This is for the in app purchases but it’s still fun if you have the patience for that. It upgrades (that was the all encompassing word I was looking for… catch-all is another word I was looking for there. I had to look it up)… where was I? It upgrades over days sometimes… pretty much all the time now but it does it in the background. You’ll’ve (nice) already figured that out but just in case. Jeeze, imagine having to wait days actually in the game or with it open just for upgrades to stuff. Nightmare!
Need a to do list for today… the three T’s Tweet/Tumblr/Twitch. Tumblr will be the trickiest and most time consuming I think. I still don’t know what to write. Eurgh, maybe wait till next week for publish? No, I must try to get it out today. However, I don’t want to write excessively about being in hospital. Not only is it depressing but it’s personal too. Perhaps I’ll mention it in happenstance. Just quickly. I don’t want it to be like I’m trying to get attention. To be honest this could be the Tumblr itself. It’s already four hundred and thirty words. Four hundred and forty just now. I’ll try to write one by hand like I usually do first… so thats a no to this for now. Although writing these diaries and uploading them each day might be good for me because it would get my thoughts out there each day. Eurgh, I don’t know. I feel I’m drowning is all I mean. At least people, whoever they may be reading this, would get an idea of where my mind is at. Ha, Mesmerised [Edit 01-02-19: Of course it would be on New Retro Wave’s YouTube channel]… I’ll link that song if it’s on YouTube. That’s a good idea too actually (Jeeze, this is half way to a full Tumblr already. That makes me happy) Anyway… In any case (another three words in the bag) The idea was that I could link songs in the body of the text too or instead so they could be listened to alongside the text. I write and the relevant songs I’m listening to could be linked. The reader could get a better view of inside my head. Not perfect. One can’t get a crystal clear view of how someone thinks and feels… some people can’t even get a handle on their own thoughts sometimes. I may post this actually. It’s slowly creeping up to a thousand words. Actually even better I could post this as a placeholder and then do a proper written one for next week.
Gosh, I think my routine of writing in hospital really got me into the habit of writing quickly and freely. A good crash course. Most of my writining (… oh, writning that sounds cool… okay no I’m too old for that… but it’s like lightning writing. Under the Sun) was about being homesick naturally.
I got into the music of Le Cassette again. They released a cover of Time After Time I noticed upon coming home. They only have one album at the moment though. I’m sure you could find their music by searching around on iTunes. Maybe there’s more. Like covers and features on other artists music. Features are hard to find. Like how would anyone find for example that Jack White sang on that song errr the other one not Gay Bar. Kickstarting fires? Just look it up Andrew.
DANGER! DANGER! … HIGH VOLTAGE!
Eight hundred words.
You can certainly hear Jack White’s voice on the track… track. Is that an old fogey thing to say? Well, who gives a shit. Anyway I’m guessing if you search Jack White in iTunes all the songs with him in would appear.
So, it’s about ten minutes later and I have my full Tumblr here practically done. Now I’m listening to Gay Bar. So long ago… OH SHUT THE FUCK UP no it isn’t, what, ten years? That’s hardly any time at all. Yeah it can be called a decade making it sound like a long time but it’s seriously not. I would have been in college perhaps… I can hardly remember what happened yesterday let alone ten years… oh, now it’s a long time. Okay, I’m just arguing with myself like I usually do.
So, to sum up news… nothing much has really happened.
That’s the final word here I guess. If this were a Tumblr. Eurgh. I don’t want to post it. It feels too personal or something I dunno. How frustrating. Gosh it can’t be that bad. Some people post right horrible shit.
There ya go, that’s exactly one thousand words right there.
I’m always writing though now. I like it and want to keep in the habit of it. So, farewell friends. Thank you for reading.
I’ll do a diary separate to this. I like Electric Paradise. “Rest your head on mine we’re nearly at the end now”. I remember listening to that [Edit 01-02-19: Years ago I mean] and thinking about death. I’m clinically depressed. Don’t feel sorry for me.
Oh, by the way my routine with writing is to open a Pages document and just write through the day when I want or need to and then save it as a diary for the day. I find this beneficial for me to get at least some writing done each day. So it flows better… ish. I wonder if I wrote nearly a NaWriMo amount over the past month. Perhaps. It’s only ten in the morning and I’m already done here. I’ll type my notes from there up later. I had to write everything with pen/pencil and paper. [Edit 01-02-19: Only on to my computer, I mean. Not Tumblr. Maybe one day, I dunno. They’re quite scrappy and rubbish anyway.]
[Edit 01-02-19: Finally, I found Jordan F and Le Cassette before I knew about New Retro Wave too which is funny. How gravity seems to have a way of pulling people to certain places. Like Earth, Andrew? That’s kinda how gravity works. Okay, fine, it sounded more poetic in my head, jeeze.]
[Edit 01-02-19: Final edit, I promise. More of a musing really. I wonder if linking to Electric Six’s music is against Tumblr’s new policy thing?]
