hello! im out of the loop with whats happening with the tswift fandom, but i got very curious with the post you rb. what is this 'editing a like post' all about?

What happened is that a few months ago some fans were getting mad at Taylor because they thought she wasn’t doing enough to help the BLM movement. I understand wanting your fave to do more and use their platform more but there is a better way to reach out to them and ask them to do so. These fans were just blatantly dragging Taylor. Then a fan who had a post of theirs liked by Taylor and it was at the top of Taylor’s likes at the time, decided to edit their own post and change it to them calling out Taylor about her needing to do more for the BLM movement. So they made it look like Taylor had seen and liked that post.

So the reason Taylor doesn’t interact on tumblr anymore is probably because she likely saw this and saw people who are meant to be her fans just totally drag her and talk shit about her. When fans realised Taylor wasn’t coming on tumblr as much or at all, some fans (and I use the word fan very loosely when talking about these people), started criticising every little thing about Taylor, from her songs to her documentary and her appearance. Then they were also saying that tumblr is so much better without Taylor.

So yeah, Taylor likely open tumblr (the last place she felt safe and comfortable online) and saw all this shit and decided to never come back to this hellsite. And while I miss her a lot, I don’t blame her at all for ditching tumblr.
