*pops out of art block* Here, have an AU I created 2 days ago
Cleaner AU! His nickname is Snow for reasons
Pedro isn't sent on jobs in this one, but is instead the designated cleaner
Against his will obviously
He gets rid of the bodies and of the evidence
Cleans all the blood and trash
He got incredibly effective as the years went by
Pretends to be unfazed by it after a while but still hates doing it and is always disturbed by it deep down
The Family decided to lend his services to other gangs
Still against his will
All his experience with making someone disappears off the face of the Earth got really useful when he decided he had enough
Killed everyone and cleaned the crime scenes so well, it's like nothing happened
Uses more sneaky ways of killing people (like poison darts) so he doesn't have to clean as much blood afterwards
He happens to like painting in his free time so he uses the red paint excuse if he misses a blood stain on his clothes
He developed a severe anxiety linked to cleaning as he associates death threats with a bad cleaning job
Needless to say, he regularly deep cleans his apartment
I love him very much, he's my boi
Reminder that my ask box is always open and that reblogs help more than likes!
*pops back in art block*

Hi, I'm Canon. I'm a disabled artist with some kind of gender and homosexual tendencies. You might have seen my usernames around in posts about loving OCs, or complaining about video game inaccessibility, or attached to one of the worm-centric comics I made, like these ones:
I hate having to ask for help when there's already so much going on, but I am also At My Limit.
To make a long story short, I am very disabled in multiple ways and I am living in a very inaccessible (and often directly disability-hostile) home. While I live with family, they do not provide assistance (financial or otherwise) and our rural location and the glacial pace of Canada's social services have left me A Bit Fucked. (Whatever you think Canada's health care provides, either it doesn't, or it takes half a year to even book an appointment.)
I've asked for help in the past with smaller goals, but costs continue to add up - and this time, finally, I may be able to actually make permanent accessibility changes to the household... if I can fund it myself. On the amount I get from the disability support program in my province, I can't do that; I would have to stop eating for months to afford even one of the major renovations in that time, and, obviously, I can't do that.
What kind of accessibility updates would this be going towards?:
A wheelchair ramp at at least one exit of the house; there are four potential exits, and all of them are currently multiple sets of stairs without railings.
A stair lift (for upstairs access) or a walk in tub (for downstairs access), depending on what my family will agree to
Dressers / storage that I am physically capable of opening
HRT (guess what isn't covered by Canada's health care, apparently!)
A whole mess of medical appointments (vision, prescriptions, dental, infinite various symptom testings) and transportation to and from those appointments (guess what else isn't covered!!)
A functional freezer
Physiotherapy 👍
Food 👍👍👍
And how can you donate?:
Donate directly to my Ko-fi page
Pledge monthly to my Ko-fi membership tiers
Order a commission from me (you'll be added to a queue; I can't provide completion time estimates right now)
Buy my premade digital goods (TTRPG resources, bases, tattoo tickets, etc) through Ko-fi or itch.io
Buy my art on physical goods through Redbubble or INPRNT
Buy designs / adoptables I've made through Toyhouse
Buy things off of my Amazon accessibility wishlist
I'm trying to buy used and second-hand / go through free stuff groups where I can to save costs, so I don't have a fixed goal and genuinely every bit helps. I really want to be able to get back to functioning somewhat normally, and due to Circumstances - as embarrassing as it is - I can't do that on my own, and I can't keep struggling with it the way I have been.
Thank you for your time, and any help you're able to provide. Reblogs are welcome and appreciated.
#not art#mutual aid#donations#i am about to owe a Lot in appointments money and if i cant even navigate my own home in the meantime im going to mcfreaking lose it#also ofc in the off chance that the support outpaces my needs ill pass it on to someone else who needs it#im just really stuck right now. and dealing with shit while disabled and in the middle of nowhere is uh Bad#thank u.

after sitting on this game in my steam wishlist for ages, I finally gave it a try when another one of my friends started it, and it ended up becoming one of my favorite rpgs (and games in general) of all time. the emotional rollercoaster this game put me through is unparalleled. so obviously i needed to turn all the main characters into ponies and funny animals.
Notes on my reasoning and thoughts below! (Including major game spoilers!)
As for the sonic character animals the reasons are a lot more simple also i didnt for au lore crazy with them. theyre just furries now: Siffrin- he literally goes nya. he makes cat mouths all the time. they also like silently hanging out with their loved ones, agile and sneaky, etc. Mirabelle- she is so fucking nervous all the time. a little guy seemed fitting. Also, unintentionally, her being a mouse with her rapier makes her look like the tale of despereaux guy Isabeau- a supportive, happy go lucky guy being made a dog seemed pretty obvious, but i wanted to be a little more creative and thoughtful than that, so i specifically went for a smarter dog breed: a collie :] kind of like herding he also brings and corrals the group together Odile- suggestion of a friend, a yellow-throated marten :] just looked really cool and very odile. simple as that Bonnie- wombat-- suggestion from a friend, too :] But in general the idea was a burrowing animal, because they're digging in the ground for tubers to me.

Gonna take some time to feel proud of this for a little bit because when Cyrus was talking about his project for years often his tweets would only get 5 to 15 likes and not as many people were talking about it.
When he said it wasn't getting many wishlists, I felt bad but I wasn't surprised because of how little engagement he was getting, even though ostensibly he has a much bigger Twitter audience than I do. It was almost impossible to get his original work in front of eyes because of the absolutely horrendous algorithm.
So since I knew he didn't have a tumblr, I decided to hype him up here. Ever since my post got shared by some massive accounts, they went from 5000 wishlists to 15,000.
Cyrus is someone I look up to, and I've always felt so proud that we became friends. Knowing I helped contribute to his project getting more eyes on it (obviously not alone; my account is only so big) feels really good.
We've come so far since I sent him those E rated Burgerking (Asterius/Theseus) fanfics on his request 😂
He's a great guy. He sincerely deserves this. Lots of devs do of course, but I'm happy to have contributed to this one.
If you haven't wishedlisted this game already, please do! 15000 is amazing but let's not stop there ♥️
Another game I'd like to briefly shoutout from an indie dev is Nightmare Kart, which for legal reasons is definitely not Bloodborne x Mario Kart developed by the tall goth furry trans woman named Lilith who recreated all of Bloodborne in PSX style. If that's your speed go check that out too ♥️ though she doesn't need my help hyping it up given her massive audience~ I just think she's awesome 🙏🏾

Demo Update: New MC/Daonna Sprites!
🍃 Wishlist on Steam 🍂 Follow on Itch.io
Good morning, fateful friends!
We have an exciting update for The Good People (Na Daoine Maithe) today! Specifically, the demo now officially boasts three new sprites for MC and Daonna!!! (Read more below 👇)
If you remember from our Kickstarter, one of our stretch goals was the ability to fully customize the appearance of MC and their mysterious doppelganger, Daonna. Sadly, we weren't able to reach this goal at the time - which meant that for the foreseeable future, MC and Daonna would be functionally represented by a single sprite. This was obviously not ideal, since this limits players to a single skin tone, hair colour, eye colour, etc., so after our Kickstarter ended we decided to go back to the drawing board and come up with a middle ground solution that was more realistic/feasible for us. Hence: Daonna now has three distinct designs, which players can use as a basis for their MCs if they want to. (Examples: Maybe your MC styles their hair differently, or never goes without rouge!) Ultimately though, if you still prefer your own headcanon to our sprites, feel free to consider them simply interpretations of MC/Daonna's many possible appearances! Mythology is often full of contradictions, after all ;)
In addition to MC/Daonna, there are a few other new things in this version of the demo (which will update automatically on Steam, but needs to be fully redownloaded from Itch):
Bug fixes (missing audio for Milesian, added entry for Finn, some typos, missing credit names)
A new, fabulous sprite for the lady shopkeeper (with another for the shopkeeper man on the way!)
A new sprite for Maeve's crows
A new animation for Maeve's crows
Minor UI updates
That's all for now! Slán go foill!
- Clotho
EDIT: There appears to be a bit of confusion surrounding the nature of this update, so I want to clarify: These sprites will only appear in the character creation menu and when Daonna (who already had a sprite prior to now regardless) makes appearances in-game. Otherwise, the gameplay is the same as before. This sprite will not be visible when your MC speaks, so you are still free to imagine your MC in any fashion of your choosing.

In case anyone is interested, this is the modding wishlist so far...
The bold ones are what I would very much like to try to have fun with myself, the others are a sobbing plea to the universe for someone to take pity on me bc I figured I probably lack the skills to make them myself.
They're roughly ordered by how desperate I am for them to exist.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
-Remove combat VFX (except mages & bombs reduced) -> sadly this doesn't seem to be part of the accessibility features which are otherwise great, but like, my autistic brain literally fries up with all the flashiness, I'll just meltdown 24/7. If you know how to do this, I would love you 5ever.
-Isabela outfit swap + darker skintone + age-up -> this is terrible in so many ways. Can't believe how they butchered my girl jfc I thought we were done with this type of shit??? (That was the spoiler I saw just now hooo my god). Also, let her be in her 50s pls!
-Morrigan outfit overhaul + hairstyle swap (to 36) -> Free her from the double boobs! Also, her actual hair is basically in the CC, why give her that millenial mum haircut? And again, let her be nearly 50.
-Qunari face texture edit -> needs no explanation, I bet it will be the most popular mod of the game forever
-Shadow Dragon PJ swap (mage outfit without shoulder pads?) -> it's PJs 2.0 and I don't like it. I guess that's why they gave Inky the same outfit, cause it just really looks like that. I got obsessed with this other one that is essentially the mage outfit sans the shoulder thing. I think that would make a great casual outfit.
-Inquisitor outfit overhaul/swap -> see explanation for the Shadow Dragon PJs. It makes perfect sense as a stand-in for the Inquisition PJs but then my Inkys are never actually subjected to them. Hope there is a Dalish outfit or otherwise a Veil Jumper one, that fits my Lavellan. It would also be fun to craft my own with pieces of different armors from Inquisition and Veilguard maybe.
-Inquisitor prosthetic replacement -> There's lots of different headcanons people have for theirs and it's sad there isn't a slider for different options. I don't even know yet what I'd like myself, but something a little more obviously a prosthetic I think. Or none at all maybe. Just, choices are cool.
-Mourn Watch Rogue armor retexture -> I am apparently the only person on this planet to feel this way, but I loathe the Mournwatch rogue armor - it just gives Joker. Like, I might like it in a TOTALLY different setting, but it does NOT give Thedas at all. Love the controversial mage one though, so I guess i'm just weird.
-Irelin hairstyle swap (to 64) -> to match the hairstyle she had in The Missing that fit her much better. Again, it's in the CC, why didn't they just use it?
-Solas face texture edit (no orange contour, bigger scar, more freckles?) -> look how orange you are, gurl! Like, I'll live without it, but I am bothered... I bet the creation of his scar comes up in the memories as well, so why is it so smoll.
-Solas retina change to more outer blue -> I get that he's cool and mysterious now, but I liked the blue a lot. just personal preference tho
#I guess this counts as veilguard critical even though this is actually how I express my love lol#Nothing gets me more obsessed with a game than obvious potential that just needs a little polish and that way I also get to make it my own#I'd actually be mad if it was so perfect it didn't leave anything for mods to improve. that's no fun.#veilguard spoilers#dragon age spoilers#veilguard critical#veilguard positive#dragon age modding#datv spoilers#dragon age mods#veilguard modding#isabela#morrigan#irelin#solas#inquisitor#lavellan#mourn watch#qunari#datv#veilguard#dragon age: the veilguard#my obsessive da ramblings#long post

Demo date announcement!
The most important information up front: The demo's release date will be the 27th of September, 2024!!
I don't think Steam notifies you even if you have followed/wishlisted the page, but still, every single follow and wishlist helps immensely. You can check the game out here, and this is also where you can grab the demo from once it's out.
The lore of the demo
A few months back, in late June, I had just come back from housesitting. One of my friends, Lucinius, mentioned that Steam was holding a space exploration festival on the 2nd of September, and suggested I get the demo ready for then. I thought this was a great idea and feverishly started working to finalize everything.
It took 6 days total to get my steam developer account up and running, including paying for the ability to put a game on Steam, getting the OK regarding tax details, etc. It takes 30 days from initial payment to when you are able to actually make the store page live. The process was quite overwhelming but this amazing guide here helped me through basically all of the process, and it was super accurate!!
About a week before the festival, I had everything ready and went to do the store pages and upload the game build. I thought uploading the build using the provided command line tool would be the hard part, and the store page would be the easy part. However, there are so many assets and variations thereof that Steam asks for that I had not prepared (about 20 in total with very specific size and design requirements), and so it took several days to complete this in a manner I was happy with.
It then also took about 5 days for the content to undergo review and for it to be approved (or not). The game page and demo build got approved, but the demo page did not as I didn't have "demo" on my assets that I had submitted for it, so it took another 5 days after correcting the page for it to be approved. This ended up being approved a few days after the space exploration fest had started, and so I thought I'd push the demo back for the next relevant festival - luckily a turn based rpg one - on the 1st of October.
However, a few days ago, I was sadly informed that my game (turn-based RPG, by the way) was not suitable for Steam's turn-based RPG festival after applying to enter it. I wasn't given a reason, even after reaching out to support, except a generic one that stated my game may not have been a good fit for it.
I honestly thought it would be a given I could take part, but that is obviously not the case! It was a bit disappointing hearing the news and the lack of feedback from Steam regarding the decision, but I'm not too fussed overall. That's because now I actually get to announce to you guys, and much earlier than I otherwise would have been able to, that the demo will be available the weekend before the festival starts!!
The date was strategically chosen, of course, to ensure I have enough time to finish polishing it, and that it wouldn't be lost among the sea of other RPG demos potentially (or not, I'm not sure) releasing during the festival!
In any case, the whole experience was seriously eye-opening. Probably not too interesting reading about it, but that's where my life has gone the past few months, and I'm actually super excited I'm finally finally allowed to mention the context surrounding my recent posts! Thanks for reading!

Do you have any wishlist for the main character in da4?
human that’s not a noble. obvious. insane we haven’t had it yet. bioware surely you can’t fuck this up. bioware
city elves!! i miss them
let em be scrappy no overpowered grand destiny pls
honestly the most important thing abt main character origins isn’t what they are but how well it’s done. da2 managed the heartfelt connection and dai gave a choice but not since dao have we had both and players have obviously really felt that lack. i’m hoping they’ll go back to giving the player character a family, but at the very least i’d like there to be an origin supporting cast, and i’d be very very pleased for there to be different origins that involve something playable instead of just being thrown straight into the story, which made a lot of people feel disconnected from the inquisitor. the inquisition origins seem to purposefully make you as distant from the world as possible, forcing you to be from the free marches to play the miscellaneous foreigner card, and not allowing you to be from any of the games’ settings or have any investment in their struggles, whereas the dao origins were designed to give you a uniquely invested perspective on the world and connection to the main quests. that really works well thematically with the central premise of dragon age, a world always presented to you through opinion and bias, where every player’s perspective designs the story they receive. that’s what i’m really looking for, especially as we move to new parts of thedas that we can learn about by living it, just as we first learned about ferelden
if they let me play a mortalitasi i’ll kiss every writer with tongue

Devlog: MAGWest Retrospective + Demo Update Soon
Read on itch | Amadeus: A Riddle for Thee ~ Episode 1 ~ Waltz
It's been a week since MAGWest, and this is meant to be an update both for people who attended and found this game (hi!) and people who have been following this game and are awaiting updates.
For those from MAGWest: the version of the game you saw at the booth isn't publicly available yet, but will be this month. More details below.
Devlog Contents
MAGWest Recap - how it went, feedback received, what that means for the game's upcoming release.
New Public Demo - coming this month. Will take the MAGWest build and add a couple more scenes so it (more or less) covers what the currently live demo does in terms of story.
Full Game - coming SOON. By end of year is the goal I'm really pushing for.
Full devlog below the cut.
All game links here: linktr.ee/amadeusgame
MAGWest Recap
Truthfully, MAGWest was exactly what I needed to get this first episode finished. It gave me a deadline to make a new public-ready build, it gave me a deadline to make a new trailer (which accidentally turned into an anime-ass opening, and I think that was the best possible decision I could have made for it), and it let me meet a lot of people who have the same priorities that I do face-to-face.
I started working on this game when I was studying music composition in grad school, wanting to write music for games (...before deciding to just make the whole thing myself). It feels only natural that I found so many like-minded people at a convention specifically celebrating video game music.
(forgive my terrible phone camera quality)
I have a very small audience, primarily because I've been stubborn about sticking to a particular vision and making something near-unmarketably niche. My goal is to make something a small handful of people will deeply connect with. But prioritizing such a small, specific audience has made it difficult to look at pure metrics, as the numbers are (obviously) not very large.
This convention gave me the opportunity to see those "numbers" in person, talk to the people behind them, and realize that every single Steam wishlist or Itch follow is someone who has in some way engaged with my game and found it appealing. I had fascinating conversations with a lot of people, and I really connected with folks who were excited about what I'm making. It was incredibly motivating.
One thing that really felt... amazing, honestly, in a way I was genuinely unprepared for... was the overwhelmingly positive reception. People really loved Amadeus! They had such nice things to say about the art, music, story, and atmosphere. I received a proportionately tiny amount of critical feedback; almost everyone had nothing to say except that they loved it. I obviously did receive some critique (more below; I know exactly what to prioritize when tweaking the mechanics for the public build) - but I was anticipating a much more mixed reaction. The reaction wasn't mixed at all! A clear majority of people who stopped by seemed to really like it.
One person finished the demo, and without any prompting, said it reminded them of a different VN called Umineko. I will probably be riding that high for the rest of my life.
The current online build I released back in February is something I'm very proud of, but it is pretty rough around the edges. This new build is SO much more polished. I was able to put it in front of an audience of strangers and let it speak for itself, and people loved it. The foundation for a complete game is ready.
To everybody who stopped by my booth at the convention: thank you so much!
As for the notes on what to fix, the following points will be addressed in the new build:
It's very unclear that after exhausting all 3 options, selecting one again will progress the story. This is the #1 thing to fix as it came up a lot from many different people.
There's one interactible where Amadeus often gets stuck trying to walk to it.
Instead of reducing opacity on the non-active speaker in the Witch negotiation scene, it would be less visually confusing to add a grey overlay.
Need to adjust keyboard controls for backlog tome so that they don't overshoot parts of text when scrolling back through a long backlog.
Will add an option for an "instant" text appearance speed.
New Public Demo
The new demo will effectively be the build I presented at MAGWest but with the above adjustments and a few more scenes. And it's coming this month, October 2024!
It will be comparable to the current online demo in length and content, but there have been so many narrative and mechanical changes that it should feel almost like a new game. Unlike the old demo, which was written when I was still undecided on certain plot points, this new demo will reflect that I now know exactly where I'm going with them. >:)
That said, the full game should be coming not too far after the demo update, so whether you feel it's a must-play or not is entirely up to you. Its most important role is to accurately represent what the full episode will be like so nobody feels like they have to pay money for a game they aren't sure they will enjoy.
(I may elect to use Steam's new feature where people can review demos, though, so if I do that... well. Feel free to leave a review!)
Brief overview of everything new coming in the updated demo:
Rich text & more fonts
Witch redesign
UI indicates what you are interacting with before you click
Background is highlighted along with cursor change when hovering over interactibles
Speaker name is no longer part of the spoken text itself and is displayed in its own box above
Text appearance can be paused mid-scroll for dramatic effect
Menus and settings now navigable with keyboard controls. Also fixed an issue where some text scroll settings weren't working properly across scenes
Backlog redesign
"Cycle through all interactibles" mechanic
Glossary mechanic (to encourage big brain theorizing)
Save + load from 3 save slots
Anime-ass opening cutscene
Narrative adjustments to reflect more thorough planning
...Fun little secret new mechanic :)
Full Game Release
Coming Soon (TM)!
I still can't be more specific than that because I don't want to keep announcing release dates and then pushing back. November is looking... painfully over-optimistic; but "by the end of the year" I think may be doable. I will have a much better idea of how long it will take to finish the complete game after I've released the new demo, because I'll have a better idea of how long it actually takes to implement all of my new mechanics in multiple scenes.
I can't give a release date, but I can give a status update:
Music - all tracks are written but a few need more TLC/development.
Sound - I could release with only the sound design assets I currently have, but boy, I'd love to add some more. As time allows.
Art - still need to draw a few more backgrounds and portraits.
Narrative - fully written, but most scenes post-demo need more revisions.
Mechanics - almost COMPLETELY DONE! The small number of tweaks listed from the MAGWest build need to be implemented, but otherwise it is feeling great. I can draw a hard line in the sand here and say "we are good, build it and ship it."
Build - this is what is going to take the most time, and is why I can't give an estimate until I have built the new demo and seen how long it takes. The new mechanics exist, as do most of the audiovisual assets, but I need to build the remaining scenes.
I learned from MAGWest that I am very bad at estimating how long playtime of my own game is, and it varies dramatically based on read speed and how much you enjoy clicking on things; but I would roughly estimate that the demo will be between 30-40 minutes of playtime, and the full game will be somewhere in the ballpark of 2 hours. This will be Episode 1 of 5, and I make no promises that the episodes won't explode in scope from one to the next. One thing at a time: I'd love to get this first episode to you all very soon. Thanks to MAGWest for being an important goalpost and momentum boost on the way there!
Look forward to a big update this month, and I'll continue to work hard on getting this game finished. Happy werewolf season!

(some) wishlist/plot ideas for josh ——
verses
any of my aus — (modern, lis, etc)
pre-until dawn content
post!game content (my main verse)
plots
josh's dad is a movie mogul, so i imagine he and his sisters were sometimes on sets. go from there.
study buddies — this can go for my modern verse or pre-game (college or high school)
beach days/summer threads. until dawn is all winter, let's change it up.
in turn to that, fall threads —— the cozy autumn aesthetic and halloween threads are a must.
of course, winter threads that aren't attached to blackwood mountain / mount washington.
vacation and/or study abroad threads! josh could easily be studying abroad for a semester or in another country for vacation —— the us, the uk, and especially japan as a lot of my mutuals have characters that are based there. i think josh, being a lover of horror, would definitely have an interest in japanese horror, as well as maybe being a bit of an anime fan, so the culture already would interest him. his dad probably does a bit of business there, too.
obviously blackwood mountain threads — maybe something pre!ud or like ... modern where they still own the mountain and everything, but there's not supernatural activity (as josh's family still owns blackwood mountain in my modern verse) —— they sneak up there alone or with some friends, etc? could have some ud cast or not, all depending!
and more, always more

I also enjoy Pokémon. A lot. Like... 2200 hours on Ultra Sun alone enjoy.
Youkai Watch is also a big fav of mine. In fact, Youkai Watch 3 is one of my favourite games of all time!
I absolutely ADORE A Hat in Time! It is THE game for me. It means the world and everything to me.
Alongside AHIT, Undertale and Deltarune are some of my favs ever! (I don't cry everytime I replay UT what do you mean?)
In general, I'm a total loser for vidya. I can do a quick rundown of the gaems I like but probably won't be reblogging often
Crash Bandicoot
Kleptocats
Touhou
Gmod
Sonic
Papa's -rias
FNAF
Animal Crossing
Half Life
Persona 5
I don't often watch many series or movies. But there's a special place in my heart for Invader Zim, The Owl House, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Eddsworld and My Little Pony. I'm also super excited for the new Scott Pilgrim show :D
It's strange to say but I have a keen interest in reality shows. This means Gogglebox, Come Dine with Me, Four in a Bed, Kitchen Nightmares (both versions) and Impractical Jokers. Only the lord knows why. I think it's the autism. It's probably the autism.
I'm a fan of Pretty Cure aswell! Those girls are so beegitful <3 in those dresses... Yes I found out about it through Glitter Force but that doesn't change anything. Another anime I also love is Pop Team Epic that show irreversibly changed my sense in humour. I've been getting into MHA and Chainsaw Man aswell.
I also adore!!! Vocaloid it literally makes up 50% of my music taste. I black out and wake up with 20 new pieces of miku merch lmao
Music
I have a lot of different music interests! But my all time favourite band ever is Qbomb! I adoreeeee them to infinity. I literally don't know what my favourite Qbomb song is because they're all so good.
But! Qbomb doesn't have my fav song, that honour goes to Stacked Like Pancakes and their song SFDD. It's a really high energy ska song that I recommend highly. (You won't regret listening to it!)
Instead of just listing my spotify stats here, I'm gonna just get some images of those funky websites instead :)
Obviously this isn't completely accurate since this is from my entireeee spotify history. But it's basically all there!

What would you three do to "manage" the issue with the Unseelie, if the decision fell into your capable hands?
Ceth: Kill them? Obviously? They're traitors.
Seth: I believe the implied query here is how you intend to kill them, Cethor.
Ceth: Oh, well, I'd just let Tethor do it.
Seth: Sigh. That's not—
Teth: You just need to get rid of the woman somehow. She's why they won. Without her, the Unseelie would collapse in on itself.

Hi 👋 I'm not sure if I should send this ask to one of your alt accounts but this is the one you mentioned your opinion of official media based tarot decks on first so here is where I will send it.
First off, totally agree that some of them were obviously made by people with little knowledge of tarot. I've not seen the Skyrim deck you mentioned but I do have the Dishonoured deck and it's a bit of a disappointment. They basically just used game artwork of the characters and slapped it onto the cards not quite at random.
However, one of my favourite decks is the Mage the Awakening tarot. This is from the ttrpg of the same name and they did a whole game supplement book (which I also have) that explains tarot in context of the game alongside the normal stuff you would expect from a tarot guidebook.
The four Suits have diffrent art styles which can be a bit jarring (I personally don't like the cups though it does fit with the symbolism of the suit) but the 3 of Swords is probably one of my favourite pieces of art from any deck I own.
If you've never seen it I would suggest having a look.
Honestly, I never know what blog I should put stuff on either, and I'm running all of them, so you're good!
Yeah, I've actually taken multiple media-based tarot decks off of my wishlist after seeing what was done with the Skyrim one (such as the Fallout Tarot) because I got the feeling that they would all fall in the same category of "you half-assed both sides of this". It was a delightful surprise to find the Neopets one was so good.
As for the Mage: The Awakening one, it looks so good from the pictures I've seen on Duck Duck Go! And holy shit, you're right about the 3 of Swords, that thing is gorgeous. (For those curious, I used this blog post to look at all of the cards.) I've never played Mage: The Awakening, but a brief search online got me a little caught up in the premise. It sounds fun!
If anyone else has seen any good media-based decks, feel free to drop recommendations in my ask box! I like seeing when they're done right.
~Jasper
