I absolutely bawled my eyes out today, because I met someone at Kings Comics wearing a trans bracelet and I complimented them on it, and when I said I wished I could wear one someday they responded with “I know you could”, and for a moment I felt like maybe things could turn out okay.

Habits are so hard to break. 

I still find myself wanting to message you “Good Moaning”, 

I still find myself wanting to update you on everything, the good, the bad, just my day, 

I still find myself wanting to say “Good night” with the moon emoji, 

I still find myself wanting to share with you new information I found, 

but I know I can’t, I know it’s over between us, and that kills me every single time. 

I just want to hold you in my arms, kiss you, kiss your forehead, say “nini karo nini” as you sleep. I want to sleep next to you, kiss your back. but I know I can’t, 

I will never think the worst for you or of you. I hope you get all the happiness you want in the world even if it’s not me.

Trying to remember the last time I played hide and seek. The last time I said hi to everyone on the street or saw the girls I spent every day of six years with. The last time my dad picked me up, or my mum brushed my hair. When was the last time I dressed without consideration? There is so much to think about now. I remember falling on the grass at school and making stories with the clouds. Hanging upside down from the swing and realising how big the world was. I wonder on the path of growing when we stop feeling big. I am taller now, smaller still.

Isn't it fun how everyone saw what terrified them most, but Nya's was so "unbelievable" that she broke out instantly? She was shown the one thing that was supposed to terrify her, make her spiral. But of course it wasn't real. It's Jay. If there's one thing she never once doubted, its that Jay is absolutely smitten, so of course he'd never forget her. What a silly thing to think, to be afraid of. She went through so damn much for this boy, and him for her, and we know how she is. Wouldn't it be petrifying if all that work, all that emotional turmoil, that clawing for love, could be forgotten just like that? Its quite a feat, really, that she can finally be confident in knowing such a fear is irrational.

It was easy to break free from such a place. It was only ever meant to scare her, and she has nothing to be afraid of. Right?
