hi, can I please get a romantic marvel match up? im 18, and im an intp, 5w4, slytherin, true neutral, and a capricorn. Imm just say it, you two are huge nerds. And nerds are highly attracted to each other. I would know. Anyway,

You two met on a field trip, but not in the way you'd expect. You see you two actually went to different schools, however you and MJ were childhood friends and she had gotten you an internship at your local museum which they so happened to be visiting.

The students were released in groups to go explore the museum as they wished (within reason of course we don't need to be creating any more spider people in this universe). MJ, Ned, Betty, and most importantly Peter were in a group together (because of random chance aka my magical powers as the author).

MJ being MJ went off first to see what she was interested in, and to escape Ned and Betty being lovey dovey and cringe (by the power invested in me as the writer I pronounce Ned and Betty still a couple). Peter feeling awkward as the 3rd/4th wheel decided to go with her.

After a while he lost track of where she went. So, he decided to look for her in the Greek mythology section, where you just so happened to be working on your shift today.

During your time here MJ was hoping to push you towards working on your social anxiety so you could achieve your dreams. Only thing is that you usually avoid most of the patrons unless your manager asks for something specific, which they usually don't because they're quite the control freak and do everything themselves.

Anyway, when you heard there would be visitors from one of the nearby genius schools you decided to hide out in the mythology exhibits. Unluckily for you however Peter, one of the many students you were trying to avoid, had spotted you.

Peter being the actual puppy that he is decided to ask you if you had seen his friend, when he noticed your Star Wars t-shirt. Immediately he was asking you all kinds of questions about what your favorite movie in the franchise was, who your favorite character was, if you liked any of the other movies he had mentioned.

If you were being honest, it was a little overwhelming. This random boy just ran up to you and started asking you questions before you could respond, but if you were being honest it was refreshing to have someone to share interests with you. Your coworkers didn't know what you were talking about, and even though MJ was willing to listen to your ramblings she didn't really find interest in it just happy that it made you happy.

After his rambling Peter finally introduces himself. Deciding to take a leap of faith you decide to continue talking to him, and you get along swimmingly. After you two exchange numbers MJ finally shows up (she actually found you guys 5 minutes ago but didn't want to interrupt you guys) to tell peter it was time to go.

If you thought that was the last, you would see of Peter then you were dead wrong. Ever since that day Peter had been texting you every day to get to know you better. You guys would nerd out over franchises, debate about science and history, and would show off your latest works to each other (him his science experiments and you your art/writing).

After a year, Peter decided he was finally going to tell you his secret, well secrets. 1. being the fact that he was spiderman, and 2. the fact that he had a massive crush on you. So, after building up his courage he finally asked you out, and he the perfect idea for the date.

On the day in question, you got a text from him saying to come to the roof of your building. When you reached it, you saw a mop of brown hair in a red and blue suit smiling sheepishly at you. After he dropped the bomb and gave you time to process it you two headed on your date: a tour of New York from the roof tops.

He swung you all around New York from Queens, to Brooklyn, to Midtown, to Staten Island. You soared all across the city safe in the strong grip of Peter's arms and admired the view. The final stop was atop the head of the Statue of Liberty where lay a candle lit dinner for two, and the rest is history.

A word to sum up the life after would be absolutely adorkable. You two are a nerdy hopelessly romantic couple and the best of friends. Always laughing together and sharing support for each other's dreams and passions. Even as Peter's spiderman life gets hectic and his Parker luck rears his ugly head, he'll always be there for you and protect you, and you him.

Rhea 30 day HCs

Hello its online tumblr noob anon who is very tired but finally mustered up the determination to do rhea's HCs lol

- i don't have many ideas for rhea's appearance and personality, but i feel like her personality before cronus's children eating shenanigans (lets call it BCE for Before Children Eating LOL) was similar to freyja's, but more mellow and less aggressive lol. But i generally agree with vans' interpretation of her personality. She was definitely a bit wild and mischievous BCE, bcos how else would she be able to handle kronos LOL. But she would definitely be less out of control and ambitious as cronus, although she liked power too. Anyway, for her appearance, the only thing i feel for certain is that her hair would be a dark reddish brown that is still distinctly red, to reflect her fiery potential, as she can be extremely determined and driven, almost in a steely way, as we will see after cronus eats her kids (ACE, After Children Eating)

- rhea and cronus definitely loved each other. But the difference between them was that cronus valued power, ambition and control over love and Generally Being a Good Husband and Father���, while for rhea, it was the opposite. No amount of prophesies and power seduction could convince her that it was right for her children to be destroyed. When hestia was first eaten, rhea was torn apart by grief, but she still stayed with cronus bcos she loved him and didnt want to give up on him and his potential for love. She kept hoping against hope that he would change, but he didn't. The more children cronus ate, the more pain and despair rhea felt. Ultimately, all the grief rhea felt accumulated to the point where it overcame her love for cronus. She realised that the man she loved was gone and all his empty promises were meaningless bcos he was entirely consumed by power and his hold over the cosmos.

- this was rhea's breaking point and her grief steeled her to be determined to save the next child she had with cronus, even if it meant betraying him. She colluded with gaia and uranus to hide zeus from cronus and and raise him. (Honestly idk what she would have felt towards gaia and uranus, bcos they were the ones who told kronos the prophecy that his children would overthrow him and caused him to deteriorate to this point, but yet they are helping her... I guess she would have felt conflicted at best, but with no one else to turn to, they were her best bet). When zeus grew up and decided he wanted to save his siblings and rebel against cronus, rhea understood that this would be the ultimate betrayal to kronos and was pained by this, but ultimately let zeus go ahead, knowing that this was inevitable and with cronus now so different from the titan she once loved, she knew it was time for the age of titans to come to an end)

- after all the fighting ended and the gods emerged victorious, zeus threw cronus and his allies into tartarus, but let the other titans such as rhea go. I think after the whole ordeal, rhea would have been fundamentally changed by everything she went through. She would no longer be the vivacious girl she once was BCE, but would now be almost numb to everything, after being scarred for so long by so much. After the gods took over and rhea was left to roam freely, i think she vowed never to get involved in anything like this again, the equivalent of "retiring from politics", if you will. I think she lived out the rest of the days with oceanus and tethys since they mostly stayed out of the conflict and were generally very nuturing and wise, being her older siblings (especially bcos im so influenced by vans' oceanus HCs... i love it). But i think she sometimes hung out with gaia (and uranus), bcos looking past all her conflicted feelings towards them, who else truly understands what she has been through? I think that despite everything, she feels safe and secure with gaia (and uranus), since they are the only ones who truly understand her.

- but i do think that sometimes, (if this is even possible), she visits cronus in tartarus, as a sad recollection of what they once were and everything they've been through. It's like the equivalent of your ex-wife visiting you in prison. Cronus definitely feels sad too, but he understands that everything was his own fault. Although he may have felt super angry and betrayed by rhea initially, after stewing in tartarus for so long, he would definitely come to understand his mistakes. All in all, rhea's visits to kronos in tartarus are like a mourning session for their relationship, for both of them. Ultimately the whole thing was a terrible tragedy for everyone involved, and nobody would ever be the same again.

What do you REALLY want to study/have a degree in (assuming money, time, and getting into a program isn’t a problem – if you already have a degree, this might be a secondary choice). I have a bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in Women & Gender Studies currently, and I’m filling out applications for MFAs in Creative Writing programs right now ^_^ honestly this is... the only degree I’ve ever wanted. I toyed with Psychology for a while in high school and even started as a double-major, but I figured out really quick that science isn’t for me. If I was told that I could go back and get a second degree for free, though, I would like to get a Classics degree, learn more about mythology, take some history classes, finish the two years of Latin and study ancient Greek

Any recipes that you’re really good at/you want to learn? I am fucking awful at cooking. The worst. Middle-aged-white-father-of-three bad at cooking. I can handle recipes but only following them to a T. I can’t improvise, can’t just wing it. No one teach me anything because I will just fuck it up. Pasta is the end of my culinary skills.

Subtitles or dubbed version? Subtitles. I can’t hear shit and dubs always sound weird.

Do you binge watch a series or take it in an episode or two at a time? Well, I used to binge watch like no one’s business, but the Depression™, as it stands, has snatched away any desire to watch anything. So I only actually watch shows when I’m eating supper with my best friend. So I have shifted down the spectrum, but now I watch shows an episode or two at a time.

Which of the four horsemen (horsepeople :)) of the apocalypse would you be if you had to step in for one of them? Death, because I would be left alone, but I would be powerful and respected. No one would fuck with me. I could just... exist. 

Do you have a favorite gemstone? I love all gemstones, but opals are gorgeous. Are opals even gemstones?

What scent always makes you happy? I don’t have... emotions tied to scent, I guess. Particularly happy emotions, which makes me sound like an edge lord but I’m serious. I suppose... the smell of a barn. Any barn, but particularly one that houses horses, where you’re overwhelmed with dust from hay, fresh water, the sweet overlap of grain and the grainy undertone of straw. When you walk by the tack room it’s leather and saddle soap and more grain and maybe the something more bitter like cat food. But the smell that makes it most worth it is the hot breath of the horses, the puffs of air as you trade inhales and exhales in an age-old greeting, a way to say ‘you remember me’ and ‘I’m your friend.’ That’s not really happiness for me, but that’s as close as I can get. That’s... peace.

Would you prefer a gift card or someone making you a handcrafted gift? I never expect presents or gifts, but... I guess it depends on how well the person knows me. Is the handcrafted thing fandom-related? Then fuck yeah. Is it something more personal? Then you better know me pretty well, or I’m going to feel awkward. Like... I don’t know, a hand-made gift feels personal, like commitment. I’m always afraid of them because I don’t think my commitment is as high as the giver’s.

Is there a local ‘slang’ word you say that confuses everyone (well, those not from where you grew up)? Well.... we say “uffta” or “uff” (a variance) a lot here. It’s a true stereotype. No one knows what it means. There is no definition because it’s a feeling. I can’t define an oral feeling.

What’s a book which you wish you’d been the one to write? The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater. I am such a fucking horse nerd. The only book I really want to write would be one largely built around horses. But the good concepts are gone. I refuse to write a typical horse movie plot.

What’s your favorite thing to do in the winter? Listen........ I’m Minnesota-born and I live in the flat hell of North Dakota in a place that the Native Americans wouldn’t even inhabit this time of year because it’s uninhabitable. I hate winter. Winter can eat a dick. There is NOTHING that I like about this frozen season except that all of the mosquitos are dead. Winter for me is not a cozy fire with rotten leaves on the ground, rainy and dreary, clouds weighing down. It’s not a picturesque snowfall that’s gone in a couple of days. Winter here is three feet of snow plowed from the roads only to pile on the edge of the sidewalk, a natural barrier that your car can bury into when you hit that patch of black ice that's been lying in wait under the snow for two days. It’s snow turned gray and brown from car exhaust and the gravel they sprinkle to give you a semblance of traction. It’s forty miles-per-hour wind speeds and temperatures that easily reach -60 F (-51 C). It’s frostbite and layers of scarves and frozen tear tracks and needing to start my car for 30 minutes before commuting anywhere. It’s scraping ice off of my windshield and slipping on the ice built up in the parking lot. It’s stupid drivers who are either too cautious or not cautious enough and car accidents every other day. I hate winter. I live only for autumn, and that’s gone already.
