the first time i watched sieun not even punch beomseok at the last episode, i felt a little let down, if only because i was comparing it with the webtoon.

one of the main appeals of the webtoon was how fucking cathartic it is to watch sieun not only beat up, but also humiliate assholes who deserve it. sure, it was great watching him swing that dumbbell, stab with a pen, and bludgeon with the fire extinguisher (ignoring the tragedy of it all, ofc), but then he hesitates with beomseok, the one who was most directly responsible for putting sooho in a coma.

to sieun, beomseok was expressively the most unforgivable. in the webtoon, at least. there was just. so much anger towards beomseok. all for what he did to sooho.

but in the drama? sieun was also heartbroken. not only for sooho, but also for what became of their circle. he doesnt understand any less on why beomseok went this far, but throughout the drama, sieun was honest-to-god trying to understand beomseok so much.

sieun has a friendless background and obviously doesnt know what to do when beomseok started his bullshit. honestly, even i wouldnt know. but he kept checking in. he gave him the benefit of the doubt. finally, he told him to stop.

beomseok didnt stop, and we all know how the story ended.

sieun at least can figure out that it was bc beomseok was hurting. he doesnt know the details, but beomseok had given enough, had been vulnerable with them, that he can read between the lines. it was still no excuse.

but heres the thing: i, as a watcher of the show, knew the details. beomseok is a whole different character in the live action drama than the webtoon. he wasnt a mediocre wallflower. it wasnt teenage pride and an inferiority complex that pushed him to ruin soohos life. he was an abused and traumatized kid.

still not an excuse. but.

the more i think about it, i realize that no, if sieun punched beomseok in the drama, its not going to be satisfying like in the webtoon.

beomseok in the drama kept getting hit and punched and shoved by the people around him, even sooho. so for his comeuppance to be beat up by sieun? well hes already expecting that. he just wants to get it over with, like he usually does with most of his life.

so when it ended with sieun, with all the unhinged rage and heartbreak, not beating beomseok who was pretty much resigned and expecting it? it feels right somehow.

i dont know. its still not all that clear to me yet. but at the very least, i can at least say that im no longer disappointed that sieun didnt beat the shit out of beomseok like in the webtoon.

What role does the symbiote/Venom play in the Apprentice AU?

Does Quentin put the pieces together sooner? Does the symbiote, & by extension Eddie feel jealous of Quentin for 'taking Peter away'?

Ooh!! Okay so things are a bit different from the show in a few ways by the point the symbiote comes to earth, which shakes up everything. SO lets hit the highlights and i hope this makes sense, please let me know if it doesnt. All subject to change  but this is how i think it will go. (also if some of the ideas are probably accidentally stolen im very sorry @kzele, you are amazing talking about characters and their reactions so inspired credit goes here as a blanket) 

1. Peter turns down the initial offer from the Connors lab. He does not have the time and he honestly feels like he wants to go into computer tech and coding when he grows up rather than anything with bio-chemistry. Not that he dislikes the subject!! He just wants to focus on growing his tech skills. Quentin has also introduced him to the patent process and he owns at least one. 

The fact that it was not paid really did not help sell it. So he can't have been fired after the lizard incident because he was never hired. Whoot whoot. 

2. Stepping backwards in time; if I understand the plot line of the show,  Peter is bit a year before the show. In the first episode, a teacher says it was ‘last year’ but i know American teachers who refer to january as ‘last year’ since its previous school year. so it happened in March or May. I would put Peter meeting Quentin a while before that in like October the year before. 

So this is a clearer time line:

Peter meets Quentin, Eddie has conflicted feelings when he finds out that Peter has found a mentor (jealousy that peters time is taken up by others, jealousy that peter found another adult that cared about him), Then the trip to the lab where peter gets bit happens in late march. Peter figures out his powers and really really wants to make some money with this. He says nothing to Quentin or his uncle or aunt about it. Then Uncle ben gets shot in may. Peter goes mute and focuses on becoming spiderman. Gets the crook. SUMMER. Peter ends up taking some photos and Quentin convinces him to have a photographer ‘pen’ name. Its a bit of extra cash on the side while he works towards creating stuff.

After the summer Eddie is a freshman in college and is at the lab working. Gwen comes to work there. Peter does not. 

Eddie has been sorta in and out of contact ever since he graduated, but does call up peter every once in a while and is a little disappointed his “bro” didnt jump at the opportunity. He goes to talk to Peter about it and Peter gives a little shrug and shows off one of his Kinkajou drones and eagerly talks about the new career he wants. And Eddie sort of gets it.

3. Since there is no bad blood, Eddie does manage to swing getting Peter to look at the alien. From a distance!! And Peter keeps that distance, but is super excited. Eddie is really happy to have given his friend an opportunity most people cannot provide.  (he notices peters bumps and bruises and is super worried, has been since the end of the summer.)

4. Sadly. It escapes. Because black cat still is a person who wants to crime. So she crimes. It latches onto Peter, and is able to spend a few days with him. Then Peter pops into Quentin’s lab one day while Quentin has the music bumpin. And its a little louder than spider senses like and is way more than the symbiote likes. Peter feels the pain in his brain and ends up falling over as it tries to hold on. Quentin puts it in a strong container and then rouses Peter. Peter is like!!! Back to the lab!!! 

He gets it back to the lab and relocks it in. Eddie sees Spidey doing this. Spidey, since there has been no major incident doensnt try to murder it. However, it does escape onto eddie and feeds on his insecurity of being alone in college and Peter moving on and all the stress of trying to manage his life. He can have peter as his bestie again. They’ll be close brothers again. And peter will stop showing up with bruises. The symbiote promises. 

At this point i think venom would beef with mysterio and be his main villain instead of spidey lol and mysterio’s just out here trying to be a grey villain anti hero thing. Venom also tries to get spidey off the streets. To protect peter. Never mind what peter wants lol

- vyncent doing the sidequest thing at the mechanics shop was intentional and supposed to feel out of place! to make him feel more like a fantasy dnd campaign character instead of a comic book character !!!

- ALSO BIZLY: "i planned on blowing up the base from.the beginning because i felt like i didnt describe it very well and didnt want to retcon anything. oh well, guess its demolition time!" WHICH IS SO FUNNY TO ME

--> on a more serious story note he did actually plan for them to lose the base at some point which is why he was so lax on giving them overpowered cool tools and vehicles at the beginning. because he knew they were gonna lose them soon anyway :]

- grizzly teared up for real after they stopped recorded at the end of the session because he started thinking about "the repurcussions of dakotas actions and how he never thought it would be this bad. this kind of stuff doesnt happen to regular kids and its gonna tear him apart. growing apart from a friend doesnt lead to your home being blown up and your father figure getting hurt. im just so sad thinking about it because guilt is a huge part of my character, its one of his big complications" so yeah i love when players are just as emotional about their characters as i am!!!!!!!!! crying !!!!!

- "is dougs supervillain lair called the dugout" (<< this one got me bc im a guy who likes a good baseball joke)

- dakota doesnt spend a whole lot of time thinking about things too hard which was why he was concentrating so much during school all day. he was thinking about the fact that he tricked doug with the phonecall and what the implications of that were !! i thought that was such a good character moment

- grizzly, about ghostknife: "you guys are perfect for each other"

charlie: "no, dakota. at the end of the day, *we* were the ones that hugged under the sprinklers" << this podcast is so unserious

- bizly is kind of disappointed dakota never made that perception check in the school because there was something he wanted to reveal with that! (you will find out what this is later i promise. it has nothing to do with doug <3)

HIII SU YAYY IM GLAD YOU LIKE FIONNA AND CAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! o(^▽^)o despite my beef with the last 2 eps i really really do like f&c as a whole ... it feels like such a natural and intriguing progression for adventure time's story while also being creative enough to have its own identity. when i was watching it i was blown away with how much it exceeded my expectations!!! i wanna see where they take the 2 stories and im excited to see where the team decides take this universe (˘◡˘) ♪ ......

full disclosure im a #fake at fan i havent watched since iwas like 13 or something so take what i say with a grain of salt . but ig the main appeal of the first 8 eps for me is that i felt like it was set up as a subversion of what we knew about fionna and cake and, by extension, adventure time as a series. it takes a look at at's typical storytelling formula but from a more detached lens so it provides a new take on adventure time's storytelling by subverting it's key elements while offering a new perspective and tone (i was very pleased w how different f&c are from their at counterparts!) . simon's depression only seems to spiral with time despite everything "ending well" in the original series. fionna, who was initially excited to escape her boring life, becomes slowly disillusioned when she realizes she's out of her element amidst all the magic. both fionna and simon were stuck in a point where they can't progress in life (though in varying degree) because no matter what they do, there isn't really anywhere they belong. so their arcs are set up to have them live for themselves and carve an identity outside of wanting to escape their situations!! i found that very interesting!!

but then. episode 9 and 10 ...... gotta say i was pretty underwhelmed w these ones ha!

(extended thoughts beyond the cut bc its wayy too long and kind of a downer.. ^^ dont click if u havent finished yet!!):

i mean. eps 9-10 do a good enough job in wrapping up the story .... its just that the tone and way in which conflict was resolved felt kinda disconnected from the first half imo. fionna's struggles and what she needed was set up as a fairly complex problem and seemingly extended beyond her surface level desire to escape. but by the end shes like no wait im ok with my town actually i just needed to accept it :) which while yes that was the resolution the show was setting up, the way it's handled feels too. easy ig? idk her journey in the last two episodes feels wayy more cut-and-dry than i was hoping. it really feels like they wanted to delve into her struggles a little longer but weren't given enough time to do so, so they just kinda had to skip to The Part where she learns her lesson, but for me that kinda undermined the complexity of the conflict being set up and resolved things in a pretty generic way. also nitpick but her decision to not change her world mainly coming from gumlee going like "nooo we just got together!" was like disappointingly simple to me (._.)

which brings me to simon. ouuugh simon. i loooove fionna and cake's take on simon as a character a lot but im sorry betty and simon's resolution left me with more mixed feelings than it did closure. their story is bittersweet and doomed from the start so i dont have a problem with them not being meant to be but "simon was selfish too" being the major takeaway is so strange to me? throughout the show simon is shown to be incredibly selfless and self-sacrificial so having THAT be what we take away from his character feels so out of left field. and yes bc we dont see much about simon's personal life in the main series i dont doubt that he was prone to being selfish. it could be an interesting direction to take him in! but.... his selfishness towards betty is only brought up in episode 9 (we didnt see betty till episode 8 mind you) through an exposition dump via casper and nova (whose segments+designs were admittedly rlly cute) and directly called into question in the last episode, which was ALSO their last meeting. and it leaves such a sour taste to me ....... if youre basing a climax off a specific conflict....why wait UNTIL the climax itself to directly bring up said conflict with little to no buildup. i couldnt feel any closure bc i didnt think this was the conflict theyd choose to build their relationship on at all (then again i have bad foresight)

also "we could've made better choices" still confuses me bc literally WHAT..... if simon never put on the crown he wouldve died and never wouldve found marcy. if he escaped the crown's curse he wouldve projected his madness onto pb. idk. maybe i was reading too much into those isolated incidents. but also somehow i doubt that betty turning insane and ice king's existence were consequences of his selfishness 😭 mind you he literally tried to stop betty from saving him in at!!

additional nitpicks the tone kinda switched back and forth and it felt jarring. going from the somber tone of simon and betty resolution/final meeting and the lighthearted/vaguely humorous tone of fionna and friends trying to stop the bad guy kinda messed with my investment a lil bit...also jay permanently living in fionna's universe was so strange to me likerwyt2r!^%@%#& DONT YOU HAVE SIBLINGS?

anyways i sound really critical but its only bc im rlly invested and believe it could be better if its given enough time to explore its concept better!! and even if the last 2 eps werent for me as a whole there are a lot of things i love about it . the visuals (casper and nova, simon and betty's resolution, the scene of simon returning to ooo, the dandelion scene, the epilogue, GOLB) were sooo beautifully done and did such a good job giving the scenes weight like seriously props to the creative team. i also looove beth and shermy we've only seen very little of them but already their dynamic is so endearing. there's so much passion and creativity jampacked into this project i reaaally can't wait to see what else they have in store

re: the recent twoset video— pls ignore and dont read under the cut if u dont want any spoilers!

ok so like i got a little worried at first because they imitated the try g*ys set up in the beginning which couldve gone really wrong because the try g*ys handled that situation REALLY WELL and im sick of seeing them be shamed or made fun of for it (SNL skit and NYT article) but it really delved into the hate THEY faced after dropping sell out and a bunch of the comments and DMs they showed were really hateful (some of them were homophobic, others telling them to kill themselves, and there were some that were racist which was really weird bc the groups they support r asian too??? so idk i dont really get those ones) and it’s honestly really clear that thats not even the worst of the hate they received… its just really sad and messed up.

i didnt expect that twoset would address the issue again after the ll40hrs episode we got a day or two ago, but im really glad they did. its oftentimes that overly obsessed fandoms (not just kp0p, tho those fandoms r definitely the more well known ones) can get really really hateful, and in the process they cross a lot of lines and are unapologetic about it. no matter how you twist it, nothing gratifies you with the right to tell others to kill themselves, or to threaten their families. you dont get to call others faggots, and you dont get to make fun of others because of how they look or their race. no one deserves that kind of fear or tasteless hate, no matter what they’ve done. you cant justify that sort of behavior— if who you’re “standing up for” believes that sort of behavior is okay, then a) their morals are WAY out of place, and b) maybe you shouldn’t be standing up for someone who thinks its okay to tell others to off themselves (not saying that bp or anyone condones their fans behavior, just saying that as a fact in general). im nearly 100% sure that whoever ur standing up for would think it to be disgusting and disappointing to know that their supporters are the types of people to wish bodily and mental harm onto others for reasons that aren’t justifiable.

i know for a fact that the people who do these types of things r a minority of the fandom, at least in most cases. it’s just that that minority is so loud that the normal parts of the fandom get drowned out, but its the fact that that minority can be heard and can be/is harmful to others that’s really messed up. i know that not all kp0p fans are as bad as these ones, and i’m friends with a lot of kp0p stans and i know for a fact that they would shame this behavior, but the way that the loud minority has decided to act and continues to act has completely tarnished the name of being a kp0p stan. i know it’s like a “joke” to say stuff like “oh you cant say that, the stans will come for you!” but the thing is that it’s not a joke. you really have to be careful of what u say or else those “stans,” that small but vocal minority will literally come for you.

it’s just so disheartening to see this behavior repeated again and again. you dont know this person’s situation, and you don’t know what they’re going through. being told to kill themselves could totally just be someone’s last straw, and the people who perpetuated that might just celebrate that they got rid of another hater. that type of behavior isn’t normal, and the fact that it’s gone on for so many years atp despite being called out is just so… i don’t know how to describe it.

like— if the tables were turned, and it was the group you’re stanning who was getting harassed by deranged fans, if they were being told to kill themselves, or if they were being called slurs that didn’t apply to them, or if they were being made fun of for the look of their eyes and the way they speak english, that behavior would be just as bad as the behavior that is constantly displayed against twoset and other people for jokes that are made, because it’s literally the same exact thing. if you wouldn’t do it to your faves, then don’t do it to anyone else. no matter if you care about them kr not, that behavior is disgusting and inexcusable in any situation.

going back to the OG video— i hope twoset is okay. they handled the situation really well, i think, and while it doesn’t really seem as though the comments and DMs got to them as much, i still really hope that theyre okay and that they know they’ve got people who love and care about them. i also can’t really imagine my best friend saying all those hurtful things to me, even if i know it’s fake. personally, thats just me and im honestly like— super sensitive (lol) but i also hope that brett and eddy filmed that, then went out and got lots of bubble tea and fried chicken together and just reminded each other abt how much they care and that in any real situation, nothing could come to them calling those each other those things irl (whether that would be a verbal or non verbal confirmation is up to u).

had very hard week just now...h got sick and it freaked me out so bad that i made myself sicker than him with worry. my anxiety absolutely consumed me, it began last weekend with a series of small anxiety attacks that i managed just fine with and then a terrible multi day panic attack from h getting sick. my ibs was the worst its ever been and i felt so awful i couldnt calm down no matter what i did. i kept having recurring dreams of evading getting sick and then just having to accept it was goin to happen to me...i wanted to believe it was a dream drought and they werent premonitory but in the end i got sick too! it was such a cathartic experience i still cant fully believe it happened...it was physically unpleasant for sure but h took such good care of me i honestly had an amazing time. i didnt get even as sick as he did with it but i was sick for a bit longer like usual, somehow i get through things low and slow these days whereas he gets through then fast and hard. i think today my stomach is finally all the way back to normal. im glad i didnt actually throw up but at the same time theres a lot of parts of me that are really disappointed it didnt happen because it would have been extra cathartic if it had. from this ive managed to get a little bit of peace. im still feeling bothered from my ibs episode, therapist says i have to go to the doctor about it and im sort of frightened to do that. not only because im scared theyll find something, but also because the imaging procedures are often unpleasant and scary...still struggling with pttm and d/m trying to override everything. but i had a flash of wanting to draw something for the first time in over a year which was huge, and while i was sick i felt full of excitement and freedom, and yesterday evening i walked for a long time to the northernmost point in the twin bays and the sky felt so broad and i felt so calm like i did in the field behind the radio station on the island or home at my grandmas in co... big sense of peace right around the corner. im changing little by little and coming back to myself after a long time. i saw white salal and pink hazel flowers and the osoberry and snowdrops and witch hazel and red flowering currant are all blooming now. the chorus frogs are croaking. spring is frighteningly early this year but for some reason i feel ok about it. im really nervous itll be terribly terribly hot this summer, like the first summer i lived in this apartment. i suppose all i have to do is wait and see. it would be poetic for the last summer to be like the first one. im graduating this summer, i dont know what to do with myself next. im trying not to think of it being so big and empty on the other side of that. somehow i still never got to do all of the things i wouldve liked to here, not like in high school where i managed everything i wanted and more. ive been having dreams about r again recently, i suppose hes on my mind. i saw him from afar a couple of times in the last week or so. the runes and cards say we have some kind of unknown relationship that isnt approachable yet but is bubbling and forming under the surface in a big way, but undetermined in its gestation because neither of us know what we want from one another. another thing to wait and see about. i want to let go and paint again.

@bookwermthings you asked me to describe jack's coat during torchwood so;;; alright lets do that i guess

but listen: im just saying things i know for a fact from the top of my head so YEAH it'll be a bit vague and im not putting photos of the coat here. im terribly sorry but im writing this during my lunch break

OKAY lets begin: first off really quick we gotta talk about the first coat. The greatcoat Jack wore in The Empty Child was actually a REAL historical greatcoat from the 40s! It isn't clear but what it seems is that Jack was intended to be just an one-off character so they thought it would be okay to get a real coat, since they're a relatively common piece to find among ww2 memorabilia ( fun fact: that's why that coat seems a little bit too big for jack, it wasn't actually made to fit him. also because that was some THICC fabric right there but it was definetely too big for him)

the coat wasn't accurate to the year set in the episode (those shoulder boards are not even remotely close to the year 1941) nor to the character. the thing about those coats is that higher-ranking officers had enough money to have one made for them from scratch, those were known as "private purchases". therefore, private purchases tended to differ a lot from the ones produced en-masse since they were made from different tailors chosen by different officers.

the coat jack was wearing had a LOT of unique features about it (i wont even start) so i think it's safe to say it was a private purchase. however, the rank braids (those vertical blue lines in his shoulders) indicate that the coat belonged to a squadron leader, NOT a captain.

with all of this in mind, the first coat is still the most historic accurate greatcoat Jack wears.

moving on, when torchwood began and jack ended up not being an one-off character, they had to make a new coat. using a real historic piece is great for one episode, but it clearly won't last for an entire show. buttons fall, it can rip apart, yadda yadda yadda. besides, a real military coat is too heavy to blow heroically as Jack walks. that didnt actually happen in the 40s sorry to disappoint you.

To design the brand new coat, ray holman (torchwood's costume designer) took inspiration from that first coat, the most notable changes being:

FABRIC: RAF coats were initially made from thick wool bc yknow europe is cold. however, john had some sensorial issues with wool, so they changed to moleskin, which is made out of cotton. it is a much lighter fabric than wool, you can see that looking at the lapel. (another fun fact: for what I noticed with MY eyes, it seems like the coat was designed big enough to fit around a full military uniform. like, the whole thing, not just the shirts he uses throughout the whole show. i wonder what they were planning with that.

BUTTONS: the buttons per say are alright but like. the placement??? was in V shape??? Basically that makes the lapels look narrower and that when it's buttoned, the collar doesn't cover the rows of buttons completely like the real ones did. In MY personal opinion i think it was such a creative addition and it looked amazing, but indeed isn't very historically accurate.

LINING: whilst the old coat was half-linned, more specifically around the upper body, this one has aaaaaaall the lining you can ask for. top to bottom baby those are some LINES. it was made with grey......... thread (dont ask me about materials. i am a history student not a master tailor im just trying to finish eating my lunch in time to come back to work. those lines were GREY and thats all im giving u)

RANKING: they changed the rank braids to the ones used by group captains !!! besides the whole thing is a bit longer than the past one (not creating another point just to say that) not because of any historic reason i think. It's definetely more dramatic, though.

THAT is by far the most famous coat Jack wears, since it's present for Torchwood season 1-3 and all of his appearances in RTD's who

the third coat was created exclusively for Miracle Day, and i wont describe it because it didn't stick for long (and i really just watched miracle day once and analyzed this one almost entirely through low quality GIFs). besides ive only got a few minutes left to swallow my food and run desperately back to my room

okay, it’s over :) 

first thoughts out of the way: not a big fan of this special. it’s like watching a completely different show. it’s not got the PZSHAHH of the normal wizard city stuff and there weren’t a lot of funny jokes or even hearty moments in the thing. 

it suffers from a lack of invested character interactions, much like BMO did. there was not a single main cast member in the whole thing! and like i said before, much of peppermint butler’s character in the show is based on his very sweet relationship to his mother, princess bubblegum, so when they showed a single (hilarious) photo of them together it made me sad we didn’t get any scenes with them together. it would have STOLEN this episode. and they teased the hunson golf photo, and death!!! and jake appeared in a photo T_T last jake appearance. 

it also suffers because Peppermint Butler is clearly not himself, imo he was way more entertaining in the Together Again special, where we seem him back to his “normal” self. 

i dont think peps being a dark wizard was something to “kill off” exactly. i wonder what was going on there? was that actually peps, or was that a spirit he cursed himself with based on himself? we at least know in the future he does become a dark wizard again, and even princess :) this special didn’t answer those questions but lol. 

THE GOOD STUFF, because yes, there was a lot of good stuff! 

God, I’m with Aracle and Maya on this - I LOVE Cadebra and her relationship to Pep. I wish she was even in more of this - I would love to watch the adventures of Cadebra and Pepbut in their first year of school, like in the end credits.

That, imo, is where the heart of the special lay - Peppermint Butler’s attempts to impress himself, versus Cadebra’s self acceptance and desire to follow her dreams of being a goofy goober, no matter what other people thought of her. 

It turned out that Cadebra is a responsible student and family member. I really liked that. Her scenes with Abracadaniel were, somehow, my favourite in the entire special! 

I like that theres a lot of cool magic towards the end of this special, and a lot of HORRIFYING DEATH. It wouldn’t be adventure time if you didn’t randomly kill off child characters. Poor Spader, I hated you but damn, what a grim fate. 

I like that Bufo and Caledonius had this crush/hatred thing going on, but they were part of the same cult in the end. 

I didn’t like the giant peps scene at the end, the monster was extremely milquetoast compared to the madness we usually get in AT. Obsidian, for example, had the awesome Larvo design. Nemesis had some INSANE dark magic!!!!  I wish they drew more from that episode. 

Considering how much Steve Little appears in this special, I do feel bad for Mace (little Peps). He said he would have really benefitted from coaching, but recieved none. He had to re-record his lines 3 times! Judging from his description of events, Wizard City was a hard time for him. 

The wizard school did remind me, heavily, of both The Owl House and OK KO. Personally I was hoping AT would offer me something more insane, but I do love both of those shows, and I know Wizard City was on a really tight schedule. 

I think they should have spent less time on the school bullying plot, and skipped straight to MURDER. 

We did have a cold opening, not on par with Together Again’s at all, but damn!

I am wondering where I would put this in the watch list? I do think it should sit after Obsidian as the third special. The intro scene makes it clear this takes place at the same time as Obsidian!!!

Well, that was it, the last ep of AT for the next few years at least T_T

i think together again was the better finale, definitely. but wizard city feels pretty detached from AT for me, despite the familiar characters it tonally isn’t like the show other than the awesome brutal death scenes. I thought the last 11 minutes was easily the best in the special! Which, honestly, is how it should be, though I do wish it gripped me more. Maybe I’m just not the target audience for Wizard City? It feels like something I would find very compelling if I was a bit younger!

man i really did just realize (a lot after looking at @emmiewtf 's posts and @//animemindset on tik tok they are so cool) why the last episode really did overall feel so much more unsatisfactory and didnt have like. as much oomf as it could've. (tiny tl:dr at the end if you cant read through this all this do be long)

despite having some really cool ass scenes and little things and some cute ass renga stuff. it was so much more focused and around adam than usual? and being genuinely uncomfortable and still not really liking adam because he's still. super creepy. its really just kinda disappointing to see how focused it was on him and how he literally didn't get like any consequences for any of the shit he pulled? like cool clown man you like skateboarding again, are we like gonna acknowledge the constant assault of skaters you went against, one being reki why is obviously just a minor trying to have fun while you literally traumatized him? like so much of the shit that happened to reki. adam inadvertently or not caused that and the fear of him getting left behind by langa and stuff because of how adam skated with reki. like i don't know if this makes sense and im super happy reki is happy with skating again but that shit and trauma still happened and led reki to that downward spiral and i feel like we don't talk about that enough. and adam still like. never got any consequences for that. if not for weird ass behavior around people that are literally minors, especially knowing how adam acts and that adam had some sort of connection with miya who's like. hardly 13-14 or so. you had a fucked family life and childhood and it's understandable to change because of that but just because your past is shit doesnt mean you commit assault for fun and act like that to kids. and innocent people just watching like when he used bystanders when he raced. that wasn't fun that was just. concerning. and he got no punishments, he like, as i understand practically got away free

he genuinely is not a character i like. and many people probably feel the same. the last episode was more focused on him and redeeming him compared to others and it really just didn't feel right. more focus on the protagonists, reki and langa, ESPECIALLY reki just would've made it better i think? more about their relationship, cherry, joe, MIYA. miya like, got so pushed on the back burner in the more recent episodes? didn't even get an on screen apology or proper explanation of reki's situation and as someone who genuinely loves miya that was. pretty disappointing please give miya more appreciation. but despite that uh. reki and langa's relationship was like, practically used to give adam a reason to skate for fun again. which is. like alright i guess? i just really didnt like it. it was fucking amazing to see langa break out of 'the zone' type thing because of reki and him putting fun in his skateboard but the focus on teaching adam thats its fun. it makes sense, it was practically expected considering how focused the show is on skateboarding being fun but after all the stuff adam did it wasn't satisfying seeing him get away with everything and suddenly be sort of friends? like ok with the rest of the cast. (ALSO TADASHI WHY WERE YOU OK WITH THE DOG THING???? DUDE???????? his like. love for skating once again is back i guess? but bro that. alright if he's into that im not judgin)

episodes like episode 6, 10, and 11 were my favorites and that's solely based on it being more centric on the actual protagonists and the cast genuinely having fun. and adam getting what he deserves. or adam must not being there HEHAHAHEJHFV so. in episode 6 there was like no adam and it was just the main 6 having fun! it was a genuinely great episode to watch with the cutest moments, plus some good ass foreshadowing? okay just more subtle buildup of reki's insecurities with some really nice moments while also being funny and fun! and that was really nice to watch! i think episodes 10 and 11, moreso 10 are my favorites because they're reki-centric. episode 10, we got to see so many intense character moments, shadow literally getting fucking bonked by that dude with his manager (STILL SAD OVER HER GETTING WITH SOMEONE ELSE WHERE IS THE HIROMI APPRECIATION HE TOOK A BAT. LIKE MULTIPLE HITS TO THE HEAD FOR HER???), i think that was the episode with the matchablossom carry? MANAGER OKA MOMENTS WE LOVE TO SEE IT HELL YES GET IT MAN WE LOVE TO SEE THE SUPPORT AND ADVICE TO REKI. TADASHI TAKING REKI TO A LOVE HOTEL?? THAT WAS SO OUT OF NOWHERE BUT ACTUALLY SO FUNNY TO ME (kinda creepy when he asked have you never been here before like. tadashi he's like, 17, please) and HOO BOY. LIKE ALL OF THE REKI MOMENTS IN THE EPISODE. GETTING MORE INSIGHT IN REKIS PAST (WHO IS!!! THE GANG HE WAS WITH!!!!!!!) AND SEEING HIM SLOWLY START TO REGAIN HIS LOVE FOR SKATING AND APOLOGIZE TO LANGA???? LITERALLY THE WHOLE SCENE WHEN HE RECONNECTED WITH LANGA. NOW THAT WAS SATISFYING. SEEING THE WAY THAT REKI LIT UP AGAIN WHEN HE REALIZED SKATING WAS FUN. HIS CONFIDENCE COMING BACK. SKATING WITH LANGA BECAUSE SKATING IS PRACTICALLY LOVE AND THEIR LOVE LANGUAGE SO THAT WAS ENOUGH. THE WAY LANGA WAS FOCUSED ON REKI. HIS BOARD WAS BROKEN BUT HIS TOP PRIORITY ISN'T JUST SKATING, IT WAS REKI. IT WASN'T FUN WITHOUT REKI AND HE LOVES IT BECAUSE ITS WITH REKI. AND EPISODE TEN JUST REALLY SHOWED REKI AND LANGA'S RELATIONSHIP PERFECTLY AND THE MAKE UP WAS SO GENUINELY SATISFYING WITH THE CUTEST FUCKING MOMENTS. THAT COMBINED WITH HOW GOOD THE PROGRESSION OF REKI WAS THROUGHOUT THE EPISODE REALLY JUST MADE IT HIT TO ME. it actually focused on the protagonists. and it was. so good. i will give anything to feel the same way i did watching episode ten for the first time again. it was a rollercoaster in all the perfect ways and it was just so genuinely fun and satisfying. and episode 11? was the perfect continuation of that for me.

episode 11. was so good. as i've seen many people say, its like reki reclaiming his spot as the main character and one of the main protagonists. he took a chance on the rain, he went against adam again and this time showed he wasn't afraid. he was just having fun and he was overcoming adam because of it. it wasn't just the board he made. this was emphasis on reki's own skills and confidence and how it got him to, even with not actually winning the race, he fuckin won. he showed adam who the hell he was. he showed EVERYONE what he was capable of despite of how much everyone doubted him. and do you know what makes that doubt people had in him even better? okay that wasn't worded really well but the doubt people had in him made the payoff of his success even better. but its the way that langa didn't fucking doubt him for a moment. he had his FULL TRUST in reki the entire time even when pretty much everyone else wanted him to give up. expected him and wanted him to stand down against adam. but langa believed and trusted reki. and even when he didn't win his first thought was to check on him and protect him from adam. renga's relationship, platonic or not is just. so amazing. so fucking beautiful despite the ups and downs because of how much care. the amount of trust they have in eachother, how they just know and understand eachother. its fun and okay because its the two of them. and that showed throughout the episode and i loved that. BUT ENOUGH RENGA. THE FOCUS ON REKI IN THE EPISODE. i believe in reki supremacy and that he needs more appreciation as the main character, the protagonist, and hoo boy. eleven was THE most satisfying shit. ARE WE NOT GONNA TALK ABOUT REKI EFFECTIVELY, DESPITE TALENT, COPIED LANGA'S TRICK? HOW HE SORTA REVERSE LOVE HUGGED ADAM? HOW HE USED AND LEARNED THE THINGY MIYA TAUGHT HIM yes i forgot the name IN THE FIRST RACE WITH ADAM. HOW REKI IS SO GOOD AT LEARNING THAT SHIT JUST BECAUSE ITS FUN. HE JUST DID IT BECAUSE IT SEEMED MORE FUN AND THATS SO AMAZING. PLUS THE CONFIDENCE REKI HAS? THE RESILIENCE HE HOLDS? HOW HE KEPT STANDING UP? TAKING EVERY THROW SPIN AND PUNCH once again fuck adam thats just a kid having fun and you were punching him until he was bleeding. if he didn't pull away, adam had those spiky things on his elbows. he would've genuinely hurt reki AGAIN. PLUS HIM PULLING THE FULL SWING KISS ON REKI???????? WHAT THE FUCK MAN. LIKE THE WAY REKI EVADED IT WAS SO COOL GO OFF REKI BABY YOU'RE DOING AMAZING BUT ADAM WHAT THE FUCK. but on the note of reki being amazing again, this episode really did show that. it had so much focus on reki and showed how him being reki, his confidence, the skills he developed himself, his love for skating is what makes him amazing. him being reki. thats what made people like him. thats what gave him everyone's support. thats what made him practically win and show that he IS the main character. that was reki at his BEST. the satisfaction of proving everyone wrong. his found skating family being so hyped and proud of him. AND HOO. FUCKING, BOY, ANOTHER ONE OF THE BESTS PART OF ELEVEN WAS ADAM EATING SHIT. WHAT HE FUCKING DESERVED. the mentality of the s goers and fans is kinda dumb with them not really caring about reki until this and literally bashing him still sorta at the start of the race. then immediately clowning adam, but adam like actually deserves the clowning hah. bitch. the best part of episode 11 was not only reki, but how they treated adam. he was GETTING what he deserved. seeing adam on the ground and fallen. people booing him and focusing on reki being cool as shit instead of adam winning. that was so fucking satisfying. taking the 'king' away from his throne after all the fuckery he's done, him being shunned. now that was beautiful. that was what i liked and adored. 11 once again, reki-centric, and adam getting some punishment for his actions. that was amazing. that was what i liked. i watched sk8 for reki and seeing that made me scream in delight.

episodes 10 and 11 were just, yeah. the focus on the main characters and adam getting what he deserved. the renga relationship moments were just. something about them both was just perfect and i hope i conveyed that right. episode 12 just . didn't make me feel all that much. at least compared to those 2. and that's pretty much completely because of adam. and because after 10 and 11, 12 really was just. kinda underwhelming i guess? the adam-centricness of it. the use of langa's love for reki and skateboarding for adam's sake really was just kinda. eh. THE ENDING AND ACTUAL MOMENTS THAT HIGHLIGHTED REKI AND LANGA WERE BEAUTIFUL AS ALWAYS but the adamness was just. yeah. it was. mm. all of my rant juice is like running out ive been typing this for like an hour so

TL;DR: the focus on and redemption of adam and not our mains was what made 12 so eh. the characters and their relationships is what makes sk8 so good and the sudden focus on adam was just. mm if you read all of that i hope that made sense and please feel to add on and respond!! i love seeing people's insight on things and i tend to forget about stuff when i rant!

Oh wait some cast stuff...brb ima cry. The ending has some very series finale energy...I’m scared. Natalie wouldn’t have done the “buckle up wildcats” if there wasn’t a season 3, right? But the bloopers at the end...

The cast ending was great. “You are the Music in Me” was so heartfelt and I’m a sucker for bloopers.

Wait so no Lily home? It was probably a cut scene. 

If we got Lily home, can we get an album with the cast singing all the BATB songs? 

I have so many mixed feelings about this episode. Here is the thing, if you love the core 4 then this was your episode. If you’re like me and prefer the side leads then this was probably a little disappointing since we barely saw them. This episode felt rushed and a little messy, but there were some great moments. Season 2′s writing has felt a little weird. This season lacked the chaotic theater kid energy season 1 had. It was one of the reasons I fell in love with the show. If/when we get a season 3 I really hope the writers find that energy again.

Let’s all give a round of applause for the cast and crew who filmed majority of the season during a global pandemic. That could not have been easy. They gave us a pretty good season under crazy conditions. They definitely had to change some things to fit the current climate. Overall, hats off the the cast and crew because you guys killed it. 

I’m really going to miss this show, hopefully it gets renewed. It has become a comfort show these past several weeks. My sanity says “no, don’t go” but my sleep schedule says “leave.”

this post got kinda long i have Many Thoughts on this one

Overall I had fun watching this ep but I could really tell it was rushed and there was so much that got cut, which makes me super sad. our fears about the finale having pacing issues due to all the added scenes & rearranging were confirmed & it rly sucks, but i'll elaborate more on that in a bit.

this week's ep covered the end of chapter 92, chapters 93-97, and included small bits of chapters 98 & 99.

so the ep starts with the ED and the latter part of the tunnel scene with ibuki and louis. i liked the visual effect they used to show that they were in the dark. louis' voice acting was also On Point. for the most part i think this scene was done pretty well but I can tell it's being rushed also. I really wish we got more buildup and narration instead of just jumping straight to ibuki telling louis to shoot him. the way it is in the anime feels less impactful imo.

also im sad we didnt get to see this in the anime

before i move on, i wanna talk a bit about louis and his relationship w/ the shishigumi and ibuki. i feel like in the anime quite a few of the lil moments that really endear you to the shishigumi and also ibuki were either cut or kinda glossed over, which is strange to me considering how much effort and care went into the ED. it's very emotional and good but i feel like maybe anime onlies are missing out only seeing the anime and the MV. but idk.

legosi and riz's fight was quite rushed as well. there's so much narration and dialogue missing from it and that really rubs me the wrong way. It wasn't all bad but compared to the manga I just don't think it's as good. I will say tho that I really liked the sequence w legosi and the moths. I thought it looked really nice and was pretty well done.

also i liked how the backgrounds had some anti-yahya graffiti, its a nice touch imo

I was happy to see legosi do the "tell me more" pose but I'm honestly disappointed that the anime took out the whole exposition about why legosi did it. like i feel like without that it's just legosi being weird when he has a reason for it!!! This is just one example of the anime taking out crucial narration during the fight.

I also think it's kinda weird how they changed how louis shows up at the fight. im not sure how i feel about riz just charging at him like that, but i liked how legosi kicked him before they ran lol.

i dont have much to say about pina's small scene but I did wanna say that during my first watch thru of the ep i was too distracted trying to read the graffiti behind him that i didn't notice him getting his phone out of the dumpster and calling the cops lmao

and now... here we are... the predation scene.

overall i thought it was pretty well done but, like the rest of the ep, i could tell it was also being kinda rushed. some important beats werent given enough time to really sink in, and there's a few bits of narration taken out of this part as well that i find disappointing :^(

tho i did like how the anime called back to this scene in s1 when legosi mentions utilizing his strength.

also this part where louis is remembering ibuki had me like😭

I also really liked seeing louis cry. I was crying too sjdflskjdflsjkdf. i thought that scene was really good, its prolly my favorite part of the ep tbh. getting to hear the whole predation scene voiced made me kind of a mess lol. i really liked louis' expressions throughout this whole ep too. studio orange used their whole louis expression budget on these last 2 eps lmao.

seeing legosi instantly get all beefed up was great too. he looked a little ridiculous but i kinda loved it lol. he's so huge and poofy. i love him.

anyway, im also sad they took out louis' line about being reduced to a flashback character lol. instead he tells legosi "be a hero" again which... im not sure about that change. i liked the part with riz thinking back about tem tho. tho imo the way riz realizes he's in the wrong feels pretty sudden. again adding to how rushed the whole ep feels.

before i move on again i just wanna say legosi looks so cute. even all puffed up and covered in blood. how does he do that

i think one of the things im most disappointed about from this whole ep was how the fight got wrapped up. i really like how the cops show up and totally shift the tone in the manga jslkdfjskljdf. im also really sad we didnt get this interaction

tthe anime really took out most of the sillier moments from the finale, which makes me pretty sad to think about. i know the anime and manga have different tones but pls let the boys be silly sometimes!!

the next part where legosi and louis finally establish their friendship was really cute tho ❤️ even tho it was pretty different i enjoyed it a lot.

the wrap-up for this arc and this episode gave me whiplash sdjlfkjsdf. it literally speedruns thru legosi's predation conviction, being released, louis & haru's graduation, and legosi deciding he's going to drop out of school. that is SO MUCH AT ONCE. also i was holding out hope that legosi would have his new years call with haru after the fight instead but that didnt happen!! so it just got cut!!! kinda mad about that tbh. legosi and haru having a lil scene at the very end made up for it a lil bit but that's still one of haru's few moments in this arc that's just not included.

we didnt even get the part wher legosi learns he can't marry haru bc of his conviction.

ive been really hoping for a season 3 announcement once this season ended. with all the background allusions to yahya, the added plot point of someone stealing elephant tusks, and sebun and melon's lil cameos in this season, it seemed to me that studio orange was kinda teasing a 3rd season. but now, with the dismissive way the anime ended, and paru's note from earlier today, im less sure about the possibility of a 3rd season. i'd still like to see the rest of the series animated, but i guess we'll just have to wait and see if more anime is announced in the future.

if we do get another season in the future i just hope that we swing back around and actually address the things that got completely glossed over in the last couple minutes of this episode instead of charging forward w/o touching them again.

i really think the finale for this arc should've been two episodes at least. not including the tunnel scene. i think then things wouldn't have felt so rushed. people have been saying this season really would have benefitted from at least 1 extra episode and i cant help but agree. some have even suggested a whole 24 episodes just for this arc, but i think that this arc couldve been done properly with 12 or 13 episodes if there was some better prioritizing on what to include and what to cut.

like i dont mind not getting the parts about legosi's family if they can be addressed somehow in a future season (or if theres no more future anime seasons thats a plot thread that doesnt have to be worried about). i could have lived w/o seeing sheila & peach's chapter animated if it meant more time for the focus of this arc. and was the kangaroo red herring really necessary?

adaptation wise, i dont think this season was as good as the first. i still think it did fairly well, but i know that it could have been much better. ive been excited to watch this season with my friends once the dub releases, but now im wondering if i should just tell them to read the manga instead. sighs idk. perhaps it comes thru better as a bingewatch, or perhaps im being a bit too harsh. idk. at some point ill do a rewatch and see how i feel about the season as a whole, but that wont be for a while.

The Vreedle Brothers are fucking fantastic because of the way they talk even i i only understand half the shit they say sometimes but when i do im loving it. and because they love explosions and its hilarious to watch them bicker with ben and eachother and cus theyre just. so sweet. i would vibe with them. if they were real wed be friends and theyd never blow me up even by accident because were friends Albedo because hes a narcissistic bitch and like. hes not wrong. hes actually pretty justified in his anger. i also like his potential for found family and the whole azmuth is his dad theory its very fun and adds depth Mad Ben cus hes australian and mad max vibes. god i love his stinky sandy ass. eat chrome please maybe itll taste better than the lizards he 100% eats The other Evil Bens too just because (i dont count albedo as a ben) Charmcaster cus shes fucking dangerous and i love when shes talking to her purse or doing evil hot irl shit and also designs in os/ov are BEAUTFUL and even tho i dont LOVE her in uaf she was still an interesting villain. hate her uaf design tho like can you GET more evil disney villain design??? you cant. boring. Herve. his crime is being french. hes a supportive boyfriend tho so hes allowed to exist. 💢: Vilgax. listen. he was a FANTASTIC villain in os and the movie. but after that? they nerfed him, made him the butt of the joke, showed him as stupid, arrogant, and too selfabsorbed to realize what was up instead of cunning and ruthless, made him ask BEN for HELP against zskayr, gave him dramatic monologues, nerfed him again and made azmuth say he wouldnt be able to comprehend the omnitrix??? and had ben trick him with it by pretending hed teach vilgax how to use it??? hello??? he tried to steal it and he was able to atleast once before and USED it. it makes no sense. and the whole Daggon arc was so stupid. os vilgax would never. ov vilgax was a disappointment too, i liked the whole attea and co hunts vilgax ep and the vilgax and albedo team up was good alho albedo would NEVER. hes too petty and bitchy for pulling that shit twice. hed sooner team up with michael or charmcaster. like. vilgax was such a scary and ruthless villain in os and he was threathening, powerful, and actually something to worry about. he frequently hurt people, he stole the omntitrix at one point, he didnt exchange jokes with ben or do oneliners. he was just. brutal. so yeah i like uhhhh. 1/4th of him. the other 3/4ths i hate. i did like the ma vreedle joke but i honestly think it wouldve been more funny if they had kept his original personality, and wouldve shown ma vreedle as an actual villain rather than just a ruthlessly criminal mom Zombozo. he was fine in his debut episode but after that he became overused and his threat level slumped. also both of the circus eps are too similar and i dont like that they essentially reused the plot. hes also just so. boring. he has NO new tricks, no new schemes, no new powers, his design changed a little bit but that was it Liam. sorry but hes just too Comedic Background Villain and i dont like that he looks like a cartoon chicken Maltruant makes this list despite being a good villain and not one i actually dislike, but he was barely in the series and in the last episodes he felt overpowered and it infuriated me. i hate overpowered characters, they feel more like a maladaptive daydream than an actual character. so yeah. overall hes  Hex has never been a favourite, i just dont think hes interesting. hes decent in os but no THAT fun. also??? making gwen think hes hot? the FUCK. man of action i am BEGGING on my FUCKING KNEES Looma. yes shes hot but her entire arc was just her trying to marry ben. bad plot, barely any personality, no real threat whatsoever aside from wanting to marry ben. they offhandedly mention her conquering some city but like my dudes Just Show Us. ✏: Albedo. his entire story needs to go away i know what that frog needs and deserves and its Not That. also he only has like 9 eps? the fuck? give him more. make him bens asshole martial arts trainer whos smug whenever he beats ben and smug whenever ben wins because of what he taught him. the teams hacker/tech support whenever kevin cant or doesnt wanna do something or its just faster to go to him. the weird big brother whose apartment they all invade whenever they need advice or wanna hang out or just wanna get away from home and get some peace and quiet to read a book and do homework. make him cross and doublecross them several times and despite it all hes still stuck on earth and stuck as a human and despite betraying them they still come back to him even when theyre mad at him because the fate of the world and the universe is at stake and they need someone and max just isnt there. he doesnt understand why they come back. he wouldnt have. kevin does though. its lonely and its gotta suck being stuck in a body he doesnt want with noone who cares about him or where he is with a brain and emotions that work against him and make him misaligned with other people. make him someone ben can go to to bitch about azmuth and make him bitch to ben about azmuth and make him bens personal encyclopedia and the first guy he goes to when the omnitrix fucks up. make him gwens personal tutor who he bickers with because theyre both too smart and snotty for eachothers and their own goods, but dont let that stop him from helping gwen finish her homework or study more complex subjects or stop him from encouraging her to go further. she could go to any university if she wants to and there are options in space should she want them. ofc dont remove his narcissism or egomania or personality but give him a character arc and a found family and give him something better than just becoming a mini ben. Mad Ben as well. you cant just take a brutal, fearsome, angry, and plain cruel version of ben and give him no backstory aside from Lives In Desert and Matruant Mentored Him. WHERE is the backstory? i wanna see maltruant actually talking to him, i wanna know how he found the omnitrix and where max and gwen was, i wanna see how maltruant was training him, i wanna see how bellwood became benwood, i wanna see how rook - the upstanding citizen veryone cherises for being just and efficient - became the most cruel person in the universes underling. i wanna see him rise in ranks and see how much hurt he gives and creates before people learn not to fuck with him and i wanna see how much hurt he has to go through to get to where he is and how much it breaks or makes him to have everythng stripped away from him because his own worst enemy is himself and mini self, and how it affects him to not understand how or why, and how just a tiny little metal ring on his arm can destroy and halt all his had work and how hes planning on bouncing back and getting back at prime and 23 and everyone who betrayed him. and preferably hed have a redemption arc too and he has to undo all that grief he caused but he does it anyway because its worth it

Queendom 2 FINAL Performances Review

the previews were enough to tell me that this will be an underwhelming finale, and unfortunately, i was right. for the most part, i can't say i really enjoyed any of the original songs. now, what's the point of becoming Queens of K-pop when, your talents and skills aside, you can't make a banger K-pop record?

what's going on with the titles btw? this is what caught my attention first-hand. Red Sun is a Brave Girls song, performed literally last week, Whistle is a Blackpink song, WJSN's song also involves a whistle in the production, Pose is a Red Velvet song, Kepler performed The Boys last week so their song is called The Girls, like???

Hyolyn: she has consistently served throughout this show, so i was disappointed the most. with the preview i was honestly worried it would get 'ethnic hip' again, but those aspects were minimal. the sonic direction of the song i didn't dig at all. The message was so unique ya'll 🙄. The dancing was limited, and i surprisingly noticed her live vocals were weak, maybe her condition was not good (the full episode might have addressed this). The feature, however, i have to acknowledge good rapping when i see it.

VIVIZ: this song i did get to hear on spotify, and i liked the vibes, it was not intense as a final song should be, its relaxed, it felt like it should be played in a cafe. this is the kind of sound that will suit viviz in the future. for staging they went fairy-tale but the magic and majesty wasn't there, rather it gave the look of a middle school play lol. why simple monochrome dresses? didnt get the storyline this time either.

Brave Girls: I guess they hadn't played their Summer Concept straight up till this point, i have to give them that. The song was generic Brave Girls summer song, but they are good at this. I really liked the simple tie-dyed outfit, the open hair flowing in the wind, the bare feet, they looked pretty. at least i had some fun.

WJSN: the song has some things going for it. it gives a little mystical, a little fantasy, before it hits the chorus and i think im listening to 18 girl group songs at once. I thought they'd do more for the stage. the intro choreo was cool, i felt like i was watching the summoning rites to some goddess lol. Seola gave. At this performance i got tired of the lift thing, what impact does it have if everyone's doing the same thing.

LOONA: the point they were trying to make, i respect that. girl groups strut and wear black and call themselves 'badass' all day. but rarely actually get to display the sheer power that boy group releases have. if anybody should start that change it should be, miss 'Cherry Bomb cover'. that being said, i dont like NCT 😭. if i keep my personal preferences aside, i think they gave the chaos and the energy they had in mind. big takeaway from this show: i was actually not a Yves stan, and i thought her being thrusted at the front of every release was unjustified. but now i understand her role in leadership, how much of a talented dancer she is, her charisma could cut glass.

Kep1er: i have heard this song before, and god knows, i will hear it again 😓. realization: this group is just Youngeun, hikaru and dayeon. over and over, it's just the three of them my eyes keep following. its their insane stage presence that will set them apart from the competitors going forward.

my ranking: WJSN > Brave Girls > LOONA > VIVIZ > Kep1er > Hyolyn

Opinion on Final Ranking:

I was a bit shocked when i heard WJSN won. Going into the show WJSN was almost K-pop folklore to me, but i dont think they exhibited anything extraordinary in this show.

but that was actually no one lol, i suppose my expectations were too high. apart from Hyolyn, i couldn't really picture anyone else winning, and Hyolyn's loss at the later part of the competition is justified in my perspective. So im not mad.

i wasn't expecting LOONA to win based on the results of the previous rounds. but them losing by one rank, that too because of the first round obviously stings, more so as an orbit. God just really hates them, huh

VIVIZ went above Hyolyn?? How did that happen?

All of that celebration over Brave Girls winning 1st place-

i feel really bad for Kep1er. time and time again ive said competing with experienced artists is not fair on them. they came out of it just looking bad. i hope this didnt hurt their confidence personally, especially since they just come out of a demanding debut battle.

It’s not like theyre all gonna die at the same exact time.... like theyre only gonna do the surgery one at a time so... Omega what are you imagining sis? Like if one person turns? It’s still kind of unlikely that they could defeat the other very talented people in the room. - OH SHIT TECH YELL FOR HELP - HEY THIS HURTS MY FEELINGS DAVE HEY HEY -- LIKE YEAH THEY CANT POSSIBLY KILL THEM ALL CAUSE THE SHOW NEEDS TO GO ON BUT HEY --- Lowkey predicting they could all turn by the end of the show season cause like if they dont beat wrecker and cant use the medical bay then they are fucked. Also especially think this is gonna happen because one of the directors literally said the second half of season 1 is gonna get emotional and holy shit can you imagine. ---- WHAT IF THEY DO AND ITS JUST OMEGA AND REX TEAMING UP TO SAVE THEM HOLY SHIT AND ITD GIVE EVEN MORE OF A MEANING TO THE WORDS “THE BAD BATCH” - Holy shit this fight Wrecker grabbed ECHO BY HIS FUCKING FACE - Ok I was seriously wondering about Omega’s concerns but now HOLY SHIT CAUSE THATS ALL I CAN SAY LIKE THEYRE NOT DEAD BUT OH MY GOD I DIDN’T THINK ITD GO DOWN LIKE THIS - THANK YOU REX OUR HERO - I know we’re all having a moment after Wrecker but can you guys like team up to move him off the table and get your own done like even if its a bit risky cause we don’t need a repeat of what just happened like yeah theres not enough time in the episode for it but still - The *immediate* little head pat “Hey kid” ;-;

- Ok I’m glad theyre getting them out - THE GENTLE REASSURING TOUCHES IN THIS EPISODE *deep breath* ARE GIVING ME SERATONIN  - Wreckers apology ;-; THIS IS SO FUCKING SAD AND CUTE - Rex is leaving already? :( Be safe you funky little space soldier. - Not really surprised the empire is gonna know they were there cause it was only a matter of time but if theyre smart theyd get off planet and back to Cid before the empire gets there to see whats up.  -- Im sure they’ll realize they removed their chips though, I wonder if crosshair will show up (he probably will) but if he does rather its gonna be a fight there between the empire and bb maybe the bb can win and save crosshair or they have to retreat and something else goes on idk. - Would love if Crosshair was saved because he really got the short end of the stick and is being called “the bad batch” but like he’s not even really there with them for the show so far... also you can tell subtly that he doesn’t like being alone which is fucking sad :tm: because all his friends are gone and it hurts even more now because wrecker was talking about how he didn’t want to do things and he was trying not to hurt them and stuff in his apology and you know damn well Crosshair is the same way about his friends he’s probably just a lot less expressive about it.  -- Honestly even bad batch aside can you imagine how terrible all of the clones feel like all the regs over all knowing theyre the downfall of the jedi and thinking that they were trying to resist it too. Like they know whats happening and deep inside theyre themselves but they cant do shit about it. That fucking hurts me.  This is a longer post but this episode was a roller coaster for my emotions.
