I just finished reading The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune. Genuinely one of the best books I've read. I am going insane. I have been spamming my friend for the last 20 minutes, 34 messages so far and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get this up to 50. fairy tail’s grand magic games is my favorite arc for a whole lot of reasons (tournament arc, seeing the characters showcase how fucking wild their powers are, fun mysterious plot that slowly builds up into an apocalyptic dragon fight, time travel, time loops, etc.)

BUT!!!!!

one of the major reasons is the fact that we get to see Natsu go full-on protective feral mode and i have just never recovered

exhibit A: when Flare was playing dirty in order to force Lucy to lose

exhibit B: when Minerva tortured Lucy just for the sadistic & superiority purposes

exhibit C: all of the eclipse plot. literally all of it. i cannot function well at all when we reach this part of the arc. like how he immediately clocked in on Arcadios being shifty bc he mentioned needing celestial magic

Anyone who’s out of high school or in college, do teenage boys eventually get nicer? They make me not want to go to school.
