Loves it whenever you ask for his help to put sunblock on your back; it's a way to show he cares + a mild form of intimacy. Will literally melt when you help him do so in return; borderline squealing, he loves the feeling of your hands against his skin. 

Learns your skin care (+ makeup) routine down to a T. He’ll hand you your serums and moisturiser and any other product that you use all in perfect order while he does his own routine — the one you designed and he enthusiastically learned.

On that same note, he loves it when you help him do his skincare. It relaxes him to feel you lather his face with moisturiser and serums and sunscreen and whatever really. He can't help but hum in satisfaction and close his eyes as if he could fall asleep with him standing up between your legs while you sit on the bathroom counter

Loves when you curl his lashes. Ik a lot of people don't think much of it but for me curling someone's lashes requires a lot of trust and can be a very intimate moment between people. Youre letting someone else get up close and personal to you and use smth that looks like a torture device close to your eye. But anyway, he loves the way you hold his face in place, gently yet firmly before using the curling thingy; is amazed by the result as well, princess lashes look pretty on him — I think he's got fairly short lashes ngl

I think he loves being taken care of because he’s used to always taking care of people. Of course this doesn’t mean he doesn’t like taking care of you. This mf ADORES doting on you. Will literally go above and beyond to make you happy and fulfil any sort of need you have. One of his love languages is definitely acts of service. 

Whenever you are too sleepy/drunk he’ll wipe your makeup off and do a fast version of your skincare. He knows it's important to you so he’s happy to help. Plus, he’ll gladly play along to your booze induced rambling. He still blushes at the memory of you drunkenly mumbling about ‘asking him to marry you someday’

Whenever you buy a bag of gummy bears, he eats the gummy flavours you don’t like. I think it’s cute. You don’t like the blue gummy bears? he’ll happily eat those without a complaint. And whenever he grabs your fave flavour by mistake, he’ll just put it back without you noticing

Always, and I mean ALWAYS, enthusiastically agrees to go to the store with you. Even if you’re just going to a corner store to buy a bag of chips. He’ll go where you like tbh, as long as he’s with you

On that note, he loves going shopping with you. Idc what anyone says, Shin is the perfect designated bag carrier. Is happy to follow you into any store and look at as many things you want. The only “downside” is he genuinely thinks everything looks amazing on you so if you are indecisive or want an unbiased opinion he isn’t your guy; in those situations he just nods because you’re so pretty, you should get anything you want.

Will blush if you take him underwear shopping. Still follows you inside and gives his opinions when asked, even if they consist of ‘I think you look really pretty in both :)’ while he sports a blush and a lovesick smile.

Aside from the designated bag carrier, he’s also designated swatch palette. Perfume? Makeup? Skincare? Wall paint? He offers his arm any time you want to try anything. Its a very endearing sight tbh, Shinichiro with a thousand lipstick stripes on his forearm with his hand in yours. 

Even in cute family outings with his siblings and you, he’ll be the one to carry your bags. And the breathing swatching palette act is even more adorable when you have a grown ass man following his s/o and little sister around a makeup/skincare store so they can use him as a canvas. At least his enthusiasm makes up for Mikey’s bored groans and disgust over dramatic complaints whenever he sees the two of you kiss or hold hands.

Shin doesn’t care tho, he is and will always be a hand holding enthusiast. Sometimes he even swings your interlocked hands back and forth to make the two of you giggle. He can’t help it that he loves how your fingers fit so nicely against his; he likes having you close whenever possible.

I was at the beach while writing this so forgive my biases but — one of his fave things about summer is going to the beach with his friends and then falling asleep on top of you after swimming in the sea. The two of you are still in your wet swimsuits, hair dripping with salt water and enjoying the feeling of the water droplets cooling the skin of your chest and arms after being exposed to sun. His cheeks are smushed against you, forming a pout on his lips while he hugs your torso; bonus points if you brush your fingers through his hair while he drifts off, smiling at you and your friends chatter.

He is a bitch for getting called pretty.; gets all smiley n sometimes shy. Won’t outwardly ask for you to compliment him but is a sucker for those. It doesn’t even have to be about his physical appearance, although those def have a positive impact on his self-esteem. It makes him feel appreciated in a way.

So the way he shows his love is through quality time and acts of service, but he likes receiving words through words of affirmation, touch and quality time — IMO, ME THINKS

And like everything in life, a lot of my hcs are up for change BECAUSE i'm indecisive <3

my writing process is literally just an entire random wheel dictating the typing of my fingers on the screen, but fic titling often goes two ways.

usually, when i write a oneshot, i title the fic after the writing process. that way, the title feels authentic and doesn't really stray from the plot i established. i also do this because i get too focused on the plot to bother titling things 😞

for multi-character fiction/headcanons, i tend to pre-write the title after i've mapped out a general plot ☺️ i enjoy titling things prettily and formatting so it's not surprising that that is the direction i lean towards

- what area of writing do you feel strongest in?

HOOHHH boy this is a hard one..... not completely aware of it myself, but personally, i think writing character dialogue and exposition are my strong suits.

description and overall writing tone. there's something in my writing that still feels lackluster (at least, to me), so i'm a little prone to being demotivated whenever that happens.

also, establishing common elements in my writing style! im very indecisive and a huge perfectionist that i often forget that writing is a journey, not a goal where i have to get the highest score in to feel happy 💦💦

- do you have any writing advice you want to share?

keep practicing and practicing! also, write like no one will read it; this is advice that helped me so much because it allowed me to be authentic in my writing style. aside from that, try to incorporate styles you like from your favorite writers and slowly develop your own elements from said style to create your own! we're an amalgamation of the things we love and cherish, and your writing style is no different.

finally, write like you're in love with writing. yes its it's cringe as hell but writing quality advances by leaps and bounds when you love the trope and/or prompt that you're writing for.

as for improvement, always take it one step at a time. overall, writing is a very hefty process that sometimes makes you feel utterly tired and hopeless due to the many talented writers in active proliferation, but i assure you, your writing is wonderful. keep at it, and write, write, write. (ang corny Neto amputa sorry i just got sentimental for a second)

how do you go about plotting your stories? :P

i always say that i’m a bit of a chaotic planner! i mention it a lot, but i have severely bad adhd, so things with me are a bit of organized chaos (except with the zine, i run that shit like the fucking marines man).

so basically since it starts off chaotic, i tend to kind of brain dump all my ideas into my doc (i use notion for planning), so like all the potential plot points scene ideas i may want, and then i tend to order them in a way that makes sense chronologically!

for one shots, i’ll be a bit more detailed bc i don’t do a lot of extra planning outside of my outline since it’s ONLY the one shot, but sometimes it’s even as simple as this! (from the wedding planner x baker au)

it’s not very eloquently written bc it’s just for me, so i don’t waste time making sure it’s in full sentences lol, it’s like me talking to myself! so i just write a bit chaotic lol but it’s what i find works for me, and im able to fill in the gaps! and here’s another example LOL (a spoiler sorta from the cowboy x model au!) like i said, they’re severely unserious, but it’s what works for me!! but this is how i do my one shot ones, just bc i outline them in their entirety and im not writing full length sentences i don’t have fucking time for that with my minimal attention span having ass 😭

BUT! for the e2l au and the bodyguard au!! i definitely did a lot more planning which is why it’s taken me so much longer to put them out 😭 with dol, which i’ve emphasized MANY times, i wrote it for shits and giggles and so i was like oh! like i should’ve been a bit more organized, which for the most part i’ve done PRETTY well, considering i wasn’t initially but i definitely wanted to be more prepared with these two!!

so for both of the fics, i have them set up like this! there’s three little sections and i can kinda explain how i organized each one!

outline: that’s the overall fic outline, i basically started it how i mentioned above, i brain dumped all my ideas and then made it into a mostly cohesive chronological order! for multi chapter fics tho i get rlly overwhelmed tho if i super intensely outline bc sometimes i change my mind, so i have a MOSTLY SOLID idea of the overall plot give or take some minor decisions (which is why the whole first kiss thing in the bodyguard au i said i wasn’t 100% sure on yet bc i could still change my mind lol). so i outline chapter by chapter going based off the overall big outline, and choosing from the scenes i wanted to do, and maybe any ideas y’all suggest too! so like some things ARE subject to change, but like for sure most things (like in dol the whole fire thing) i ALWAYS know would happen

details: for both fics, to make sure i kept the characterizations consistent, i wrote down everything about eren and mikasa and their character goals and traits for both au’s! and then specifically for the e2l au, i wrote out their feelings and thoughts about the breakup and how they both thought about one another as to make sure i kept those consistent!!! when writing mc fics it’s really easy to kind of stray away from characterization (at least for me bc i write a bunch of stuff at once) so i wanted to make sure i had something to refer to if i ever needed to!!

extras: bc i realized i enjoyed having quotes/chapter titles, i basically pre chose all of those just to save myself some time later on bc im indecisive as fuck lol so if was to help future me

basically i think everyone has a super different process!! i love hearing about all my writer moots writing processes bc we’re all really different! some of my moots have very detailed processes which i admire, bc im not like that at all, but i’ve found this works for me and the way my brain works! it’s a mix of organization but not in a way that stresses me out or overwhelms me!

but also sometimes like the cabin fic i’ll just say to hell with it write a fic on a whim and not plan for shit except knowing i wanna write those five individual scenes so im nothing if not a mess also, but yea sorry for talking your ear off, i always say being concise is not something i can ever do LOL i hope this answers your question tho!! 😭

Have you ever thought of writing a book?

actually, yeah! for years at this point 😅 ive always had this original verse just kinda sitting in the back of my head with ocs ive posted about here and there - rhombi, celes, diana, those guys - and their story keeps changing focus as i get older but i still don't really know if i wanna go through with it

originally it was like a YA type thing, then it was a graphic novel, then it was a webcomic, then back to graphic novel, and im just in an eternal state of indecisive that i dont really know what i want to do with them. i dont talk about them in great detail because that idea is still there, but also because theyve been changed so much that theyre always at varying stages of rework or development its hard to talk about. most consistent things have been that diana has always been a main focus along with her formerly-friends-now-girlfriends andrea and anastasia, and rhombi's always kind of been his own thing thats grown to be a good viewpoint into multiple story ideas that i have running simultaneously

bunch of barcode scrubbed characters, all of them got extremely queer, ones like rhombi (and an old one named avalon) got trans'd, and im just. very tempted to write it but also i dont want to jump into it without a clear goal. and rn i dont have a strong idea of what the overarching story would be? so ig we'll have to see

belcher birthday headcanons

this was going to go in my general belcher headcanon post that im making but it was far too specific and long so here’s a separate one.

okay, so the first episode of the show is on september 3rd because it’s bob & linda’s wedding anniversary, and tina’s birthday is 5ish episodes later, so it’s easy to assume that tina was born in fall (somewhere between september and november).

so tina’s either: a virgo, or libra, scorpio, or sagittarius. due to how the first thanksgiving episode in the show is the beginning of s3, my assumption is that tina was born at the beginning or middle of september, making her a virgo (or perhaps she’s a september libra).

virgo’s are typically rational, practical, logical, and systematic in their attitudes. they are consistent and diligent, but have issues regarding their standards. they are gentle, kind, loving, and have a habit of fixing what’s broken due to their hardworking and committed nature— this describes tina. she tends to be the voice of reason in situations disregarding her love life, where she uses her determination and commitment to achieve her romantic dreams (albeit unrealistic). although, when looking at the libra definition (see linda’s section), a lot of the traits could also define her.

linda’s birthday episode is 6ish episodes before a halloween episode, so linda is definitely a libra with either a late september or an early/mid-october birthday.

alternative argument: using the fact that in an episode that is 8 eps earlier, bob has a garden, and typical gardening season is spring and summer (look at the bob section for clarification), linda could potentially be a virgo or leo if they just didn’t make another tina birthday episode (which makes sense bc aging the kids is much more noticeable than aging the adults). however, google says that it’s implied that the show takes place in new jersey and/or around new york, and in new jersey the weather is typically 65-45 degrees in october (76-57 in september), so my first argument could still apply.

libra’s are typically passionate about achieving balance, justice, and harmony. they value intellect, beauty, money, and art and have a tendency to be attracted to people pleasing to the eyes. they are good in social situations and keep others engaged and happy. they take initiative in situations and are good at considering all perspective. they struggle with indecisiveness but they are good at resolving conflict with their charm and tendency to keep things fair— this describes linda. she has been shown to throw herself into situations regarding justice and she loves the finer things in life. she is very social and her origin story with bob was her literally finding him attractive because of his mustache.

bob’s birthday episodes are consistently after the christmas and valentine’s day episodes and the episode before one of his birthday episodes appears to fall within the spring time (as in, during rainy season). new jersey is the driest in february, so bob’s birthday episode has to be a while after february.

a couple of episodes after a bob’s birthday episode, it’s an episode where bob gets a mini garden. in new jersey, july is the hottest with an average of 86 degrees fahrenheit (which would burn most plants). plants need about 50 degrees fahrenheit to survive, and since gardening season is typical spring to summer, this episode must take place between march and june due to the weather in new jersey. the lowest temperatures for march and april are too low to sustain plant life (33 and 42 degrees), so it would make sense if this episode took place in may, but since the episode isn’t that far from bob’s birthday episode, I believe bob was born at the end of april and that he’s a taurus.

Bagel review: Bigby's Coffee

in the interest of actually using a blog like a blog im starting a series of Bagel Reviews so I can help organize my own internal score system of cheese bagels at various places near me that offer bagels. Cheese bagels are very important to me so I need to remember where the good ones are

Bigby's avoids the biggest softball mistake that Tim Horton's failed to clear - it doesn't just inject the bread with Cheese Flavoring. Furthermore, it doesn't cluster shreds of asiago on 15% of the bagel surface like Panera does. This already adds at least 2 points to the score before flavor is even considered.

While this may sound like it puts Bigby's head and shoulders above the other main contenders within my bagel radius, it falls short in the execution of texture. It has the indecisive soft cardboard crunch of store brand wheat bread. It just doesn't toast well and the texture is abominable at keeping the cream cheese in place. Remember that this is a toasted bagel review, and most cream cheese from these places will just melt and become a liquid when applied to a hot surface, so texture is important at keeping it from sliding around to the back of the bagel and making a godawful mess. This, unfortunately, is Bigby's biggest deduction of points, in that it perfectly embodies this phenomenon and delivers an exceptionally dry first half and disgustingly wet second half of the bagel experience.

However, flavor-wise, it's winning many of those points back. I don't know what is stopping the other stores from using whatever cheese blend this is, because it has just the right sharpness and depth of flavor that I require from a cheese bagel. These reviews will only consider plain cream cheese for fairness's sake because not every place has onion and chive, even though it should be the only thing on a cheese bagel, and in this case I desperately wish Bigby's had options besides plain because god damn this one would fuck super hard with onion and chive cream cheese.

Overall: 4/5 bagel that drops in points rapidly the colder it gets. I wish the consistency of the bread itself was less ass but the skillful execution of flavor makes up for it in spades. Unfortunately a 3/5 for convenience of availability due to the long drive to a Bigby's with a drivethru near me. I'm simply not walking into a store

attempt number two: the quest to finally have a flattering pair of sweatpants

now, if you’re anything like me, i’m kind of an indecisive mess when it comes to style. in the past, my outfits consisted of an oversize band shirt and baggy sweatpants

but after a couple years of that, one day i looked in the mirror and was like “wait.. these pants look.. familiar”

yeah, definitely not the vibe in going for..

so now i have a ton of sweatpants that i never wear, and i don’t know what to do about it. do i buy more and waste money trying to find a pair that dont make me look weird?! nope!

i have a sewing machine and an iphone, which means i can pretty much do anything i want.

first thing i did was look at the pants that i have that i actually do like to wear. i realized that what i usually go for is low wasted, flared, or wide leg.

after doing some research (aka looking up sewing tutorials on tiktok because my attention span is rotted) i found two videos that told me exactly what i wanted to do.

PART ONE: making them low waisted

i honestly thought this would be harder, but after watching this video, it seemed pretty simple. but there’s a very scary part to this, which is actually measuring and cutting the fabric.

i’m not good at math, or anything to do with numbers, so i knew this was something i’d struggle with. my method was to just pull the pants down, and then make off the excess. is this a good plan? i don’t know, i’ve never done this before

it’s not a super big difference, so i think i’ll be fine.

the length was pretty much the same as my phone, so i just used that to mark it. maybe that’s not a good idea, but that’s a problem for future me. (and yes, i used an eyeliner pencil to mark it. i can’t keep saying this enough, i don’t actually know what i’m doing)

i also marked these other places. i couldn’t really tell from the video, but it looked like she also trimmed this part.

now, in this part of the video, she starts cutting. and i’m terrified of messing up. my mom suggested that i could sew first, so i could easily see what im doing. i don’t know if she’s right, but i trust my mom more than a random person online.

now.. onto the actual pants

the material is a lot thicker than what i was practicing on. maybe this is a bad thing. i chose to ignore it

probably shouldn’t have ignored it though. i ended up panicking and asking my mom for help just like i always do (love you mom)

yeah, not my brightest moment..

after a couple attempts, i finally got them to fit right. but now i have to deal with the bottoms

PART TWO: no more elastics!

i was originally going to follow this video, but i realized id have to adjust the length of each keg anyways because i’m way too short.

so instead, i just cut the cuffs right off! maybe i should’ve measured them, but i got lucky.

after that, i just sewed a simple hem (once again with my moms help)

after doing that on both legs, she also told me to add a slit on the sides to help achieve that wide-leg pants look. i did that, and then i did a similar hem on the raw edge. i don’t know if that slit was necessary (and i can’t tell if i love or hate the way it looks) but i did it, and it looks okay.

Okay so guys. Listen. I love the polycule and don't get me wrong, I think that's what should be going on here. But it's like deeper than that. Hear me out.

Edgar had feelings towards Miles the whole movie (that's apparent by the end of course) and it's actually made surprisingly clear the whole way through. Even some of the first few interactions when he starts speaking are playful and kinda.. Not Straight. When Miles touches his keyboard at one point, Edgar even goes "don't touch... tee hee". Gay little computer. Also it should be noted Miles is the one that teaches him what love is.

Clearly Edgar is still attached to Madeline, but when he meets her it throws him in a muddle, because he finally realises he actually has the same (if not potentially stronger) feelings for Miles the whole time. He wasn't just jealous of Miles, he was jealous of Madeline for spending time with him. That is the moment Edgar realises what love really is. And also... he's an AI. He wasn't created to understand love, this would be a huge realisation to him, and potentially a terrifying one- he's taken in the social norms (funny little trash tv addict) so he's likely taken in the social norm of monogamy. (Man. Why did he have to do that to himself. At least we know he still exists from the radio scene so we can all just imagine they bought a new computer for him and he came home to them)

Think about it- Edgar has the power to call anywhere up. He theoretically could call Madeline, yet he chooses to call Miles at work (and then get shy about it), ask him what he's doing tonight, and seek his company. He hates being left alone. He throws a huge tantrum. Bro you can't tell me that whole scene after with the eye screen wasn't just like, divorce. Take your things and GET OUT!!! type beat. Edgar also seeks validation/acknowledgement from Miles, naturally because he wants credit to woo Madeline, but also... potentially he just wants the praise from Miles too.

Okay ALSO ALSO. Edgar is the most fucking flirty/socially adapted one out of the three, ironically. Miles is absolutely a shy architecture autism creature and Madeline is like his opposite, but an autism creature for music, very outgoing. She speaks in a Way. A key part of her character is personifying objects qnd being attached to them. "An elevator ate it", "it okay", things like that. She has two love interests at once (Bill and Miles) and doesn't seem to have a deep connection with either aside from music. If you ask me, she doesn't have the best concept of commitment. She seems quite impulsive and indecisive, and while she knows what she ultimately wants, she may not always be 100% confident on it. Headcanoning her as arospike. It's definitely not projection because i kin her.
