8) ISAYAMA'S ENDING FOR LEVIHAN

On the manga, Levi was sitting on a wheelchair and he's with Gabi, Falco and Onyakopon

Levi was holding a magazine/newspaper(?) in his hand, but instead of looking at it, his eye was looking at the plane above them... remembering Hange.

In Isayama's draft for this panel, the sketch for the plane was different. But Isayama redraw it to a similar flying boat that Hange protected. Isayama also crossed out the dialogue that says, 'The pain that we feel' and changed it to, 'The story we sought after'

Can't imagine how painful it is for Levi, losing everything and Hange 😢💔 (If only I could, I would give him a hug...)

On the anime, Mappa changed Levi's ending into Levi distributing candies to the children. When he saw a round lollipop, he blinked because he remembered someone.

He remembered Hange and the day they visited Marley with the kids...

Isayama and Mappa were trying to tell and show us that in whatever endings, Levi will always end up thinking about Hange.

Just how can he even forget the person who saved his life? The wounds that Hange treated before might've already healed, but he would always remember her by his scars.

Afterall, Levi spent more of his days with Hange than anyone else. Hange truly played a big and important role in Levi's life 🤧

9) IS LEVIHAN CANON?

Even without statement and confirmation from Isayama-sensei, I firmly believe that Eremika and Levihan are both canon.

There's a lot of evidence that proves their relationships are parallel to each other.

Just like Eren and Hange are both obsessed with Titans. Eren wants to kill titans while Hange wants to learn and study them.

Levi can recognize Hange by her knock while Mikasa can recognize Eren by only sensing him.

When Eren asked Mikasa, "What do you think about me?" Mikasa replied, "You're a family".

When Hange asked Levi, "Maybe we should just live here together. What do you think, Levi?" Levi replied, "If we just run away and keep on hiding, what will we have left?"

Both Mikasa and Levi lost Eren and Hange because they chose to say a safer answer. Had they answered differently and truthfully that time, then maybe they never lose them.

I think that's what really Ackermans are. They are physically strong, but they are not good in expressing their feelings through words. (They only show it through their actions)

When they bid a farewell to the love of their life. They didn't say, "Good-bye," ... But instead, they told them, "See you," / "See you later,"

They believe that they would see them again, in a place where there is no more war, no more pain, no more tears, no more regrets... A place where they can be happy together. A place where they could finally get the happy ending both Eremika and Levihan deserve <3

Isayama himself wrote, "Levihan" instead of writing it as "Levi and Hange" so he would lie if he'll say that he doesn't agree with Levihan ship 💜💚🤭

Soul Eater was my first anime and I still get nostalgic about it and would totally be on board for a remake

Black Lagoon a underrated action anime with some amazing badass female characters

The Apothecary Diaries I loved that show. So glad it's getting a season 2. To me, it feels like the spiritual successor of Ouran High School Host Club, which was my favorite romance anime for a very long time

Black Clover is so underrated and it's the perfect classic battle Shonen with great female characters. It actually knocked JJK off my list when it came to my favorite non one piece Shonen anime.

Mashle: Magic and Muscles. As someone who could understand why Harry Potter was so popular as a concept but didn't really like it myself. I love this show because it's basically an anime parody of Harry Potter and it's wonderful.

One Piece I actually started it for real last August because of the live action. Even though I attempted to start it about 3 times during high school and never got past syrup village and I've watched the anime up till thriller bark that I thought the anime was taking too long and just started reading ahead in the manga. Now I have read up to somewhere in the middle of Marineford in the manga. Then I started doing this blog and I've had no spare time to actually read the manga or watch the anime

Hell's Paradise. An underrated anime which I feel like I'm the only person that's seen it sometimes which I would definitely recommend. Since it takes your classic Shonen archetypes puts them on a mysterious possibly Supernatural Island together in an almost Battle Royale where they have to choose to either fight each other or work together to solve the mystery of the island their choice. Please go watch the show. It's now on American Netflix

Yuri on Ice the only one way I will ever forgive mappa for canceling the movie is if they actually finish Hell's Paradise but don't want to get my hopes up

Golden Kamuy thank you to my followers who kept requesting these characters because that's why I finally watched it. It's another underrated fun action show. It's also ridiculous and hilarious but there is a good mystery

So if anyone's looking for recommendations, I would start with Hells Paradise, Black Clover, Golden Kamuy or Mashle

His eternal fatigue, sadness and inability to do what he likes and wants is killing me. I don’t want to see him suffer, I don’t want him to die, but I also don’t want him to continue this life. I just want to hug him, I just want to somehow ease his suffering.

Thank you Mappa for drawing at least these frames for us, but I still won’t forgive the author for killing him. In such a terrible and painful way, at the same time never letting him enjoy life. I believe that if you created a character of any kind, then you are obliged to make a good life for him and ... the end.

I still remember exactly what I felt when I watched this anime for the very first time... seeing Yuri and Victor... hearing the music... seeing them grow closer together from episode to episode are... And the intense feelings I had during the kiss scene... it was so overwhelming... I loved every single minute of it. More than I have before... and before and after, nothing had ever triggered so much in me... And I still remember exactly what a great fandom it was, with whom we exchanged ideas every day, together excited and felt. It was truly unique and unique... I am so grateful that I was able to experience this time, that I was able to discover this masterpiece and be a part of it. my biggest obsession. It will always have such a special place in my heart, a special place, and will always be everything to me... I can't put into words how much it breaks my heart that I will never see my Vitya's past. ... or the future of my OTP ... it's doing so much to me and I've been crying a lot the last few days... how could they...? Oh, hi! :)

How I feel about his character

Levi's character surprised me, because I didn't expect to love him this much. It wasn't an immediate love, though, the Uprising Arc really did a numer on changing my perception of Levi, as well as reading the manga and discover all the nuances that were lost in the adaptation.

(Never forgiving WIT for chicken out THAT scene with Historia)

He is a deeply human character that has torn himself to pieces for others, until the very end. I'm glad he survived to finally live a normal life.

Maybe all the hardships he endured since he was a child and, despite that, being a compassionate and kind invividual make me feel a genuine attachment to his character. And not beign suave at all, with his awkwardness and coarse demeanor contributes at rendering him very unique.

All the people I ship romantically with this character

Pretty much just Hange. I like their dynamic, how well they understand and balance each other. Their interactions are great: they are basically the parents of a bunch of teenagers, holding the weight of everyone expectations (Levi) and the difficulty of command (Hange) and they pretty much just have each other to shoulder the pressure, being the only two veteran left.

I can imagine them getting closer in a romantic way.

However! Let's move forward with the next question.

My non romantic OTP for this character

Hange again. If Isayama will confirm in the future that between them there's nothing but a platonic relationship, I wouldn't bat an eyelid. Because I think that even in a romantic relationship they wouldn't act any different from their usual self.

They just work, because they care for each other and their friendship is just special. Probably one of my favourite scene in Aot is Levi's farewell in Odiha. It just break your heart Whetever you see them as simple friend or an item.

I would have loved to see some more interaction between Levi and Mike, with the fact Mike was the strongest after Levi and how they interact with each other after No Regrets.

Mikasa/Levi is another huge non romantic OTP for me: because they come from the same clan, being the strongest in the army, their rocky start. I would have liked to see them interact more.

My unpopular opinion about this character

MAPPA design for the winner. I know it's not about Levi as character, but the design is pretty important when you present someone. It has muscles, it looks his age and not a teenage stick. So thanks MAPPA.

My second unpopular opinion is that he was vital in the final battle and that Isayama didn't nerfed him just because...

He put the groups together when their resolve started to wane with the upcoming transformation of the Eldian (and Jean and Connie) into Titans. He pushed them to act, and they won.

"But he was so injuried because he did something stupid": he's human, humans do mistakes, if a character is perfect it's boring. A story needs some conflicts. Zeke just titanized 30 of his men, whom he was forced to kill, he was angry and despite that he kept Zeke alive for Paradise sake. What Zeke did was pretty unpredictable and it costs Levi a steep price.

Last unpopular opinion: why many of you are so upset with him being in a wheelchair? It made sense after the injuries he got and this doesn't diminish him at all. Once cool you'll always been cool.

One thing I whished would happen/ had happened with this character in canon

More interactions between him and Mikasa, and some lore about the Ackerman in relation.

Also I would like to see his life after the Rumbling, with Onyankopon and Gabi and Falco and their family. Did he opened a teashop?

Isayama said that, maybe, he will write some post-canon Levi so, finger crossed!

okay, before we get into it, i am not highly educated on law. this is mainly just for fun and i hope i get through to somebody.

~ reason 1 :

he’s very quick in his arguments and they are sourced well

we remember, in the forest with the alliance, when him and commander magath were arguing? his points were very great and educated. sure, he is quick to his temper, but it helps in the end, convincing others on his point.

jean shows the way his morals can get the best of him. he ends up joining the alliance, even if he was promised peace if he joined to mps, because “all those piles of bones would never forgive me”. remember, joining the alliance is literally almost guaranteed death. i’m so glad isayama didn’t take him from us.

That's the date displayed on his phone as he checks the current time. "Oh, it's my birthday today" he recalls, it's been years since he stopped caring. To him, today was just like any other day- no different. He had more missions than he usually did, if that was any different and the fact that he's riding a taxi home instead of Ijichi who usually drives him home. The man said he had important matters to tend to and Gojou just wanted to go home already. Feeling the exhaustion in every part of his body. Behind his blind fold he watches the scenery passes by as the lights of Tokyo illuminate the city. When did his birthday become just like any other day?

February 25 1997

"Satoru sama!"

A seven year old Gojou Satoru turns his head towards the direction of the voice. A young girl waves her arms wildly, mentioning the boy to come towards her. Gojou simply stares at her, choosing to ignore her- as he walks through his family's garden. He chose to ignore the girl as he was told not to directly interact with any of the servants of the estate. The girl was the daughter of one of the servants of the Gojou estate.

The girl frowns as she stares at his disappearing figure but still did not to give up. She was going to get his attention of way or another. Whenever Gojou was on break from studying or from training, the servant girl would always come to bother him. She talked an awful a lot while Satoru remains silent ignoring her. No matter how many times she was ignored she would still go to him adamant on getting his attention.

Until one day Satoru, had enough of her persistence. "What do you want?" He spoke coldly to her as he stopped in his steps, the girl behind him stopped in surprise too at his sudden voice. Not thinking she would ever get his attention, she struggles to answer. " I-I umm.." the girl stammers looking down towards the ground of the garden. "I want to be friends with you!" She shouts before covering her mouth with her hand afraid that someone else might have heard her. Satoru stares at the girl dumbfounded by her words. "Friends" was something he never had having forbidden to go to public schools instead to home study. His life was mostly indoors within the Gojou estate. He remains silent contemplating his response but before he could answer, an older servant appears. " There you are! You know you're not supposed to bother Satoru sama. Please forgive me my lord." As the older servant pulls the younger girl by the arm going towards the other direction. "Bye Satoru!" She laughs and waves towards him. Gojou feels a slight smile "what a dumb girl."

In the following months, the young servant girl appears before Satoru whenever he was free. The girl would talk for countless hours while Satoru silently listened to her before leaving when Satoru had to go back to his training.

December 7 1997

Today was the day of Satoru's birth. His family and the elders of the Gojou clan would gather to celebrate his birthday but each year it was always the same. He recieved ravish gifts he did not care for and was praised for his ability. It felt like they were celebrating the birth of a user of the Limited Cursed Technique and the beholder of the Six Eyes but not Satoru himself. He felt empty inside while his family rejoiced. He pulled away from the festivities and went towards the garden, silently hoping to meet a certain servant girl. As if she had heard his thoughts she comes running towards his direction. "Satoru, Satoru!" Panting as she reaches him holding something in her hand. "Happy birthday Satoru!" She shoves a beautiful red rose into his hands. He remained stunned but felt the warmth from her genuine words, he smiled towards her "thank you.."

"How dare you servant girl!" As an older lady of the Gojou clan emerges interrupting their moment. The older lady calls for the other servants to take the girl away, the yound girl shouts "Happy birthday!" while being pulled away. Satoru could only gaze at her holding his present while she disappears. He realized he never actually knew her name.

That was the last time he ever saw that girl.

December 7 2005

"Happy birthday Satoru." Geto says to him with a smile while Shoko stands behind him repeating the exact same words "Happy birthday." Gojou looks at them bewildered, "how did you know it was my birthday?" "Well that's a secret" Geto replies as he shares a knowing smile with Shoko. "What tell me!" Gojou pouts begging his friend where he found about such crucial information about him.

"Anyways, let's go eat! Oh and Satoru you're paying."

"It's my birthday why do I have to pay?!" He exclaims as he trails behind a smiling Geto and a giggling Shoko. He felt the warmth, he never thought he'd never feel again until that too came to an end.

"Sir, you've arrived at your destination."

Gojou snaps out of his trance as he realizes the taxi has stopped in front of his apartment. He quickly pays the taxi driver, thanking him before getting off. He rides the elevator in silence as he reaches the door to his home. He grasps the handle and opens the door.

"Surprise!"

As party poppers and streamers go off as he opens his front door. There you were holding a giant cake with candles while the first years surround him. Standing behind you, was the second years, Shoko, Ijichi, Principal Yaga and even Nanami all crowed in his living room.

"Happy birthday Gojou sensei!" Itadori shouts almost tackling his teacher. He could hear a chorus of "happy birthdays" from all around the room. Gojou stands in shock at the sight he's seeing before Nobara practically shoves a bouquet of flowers into his hands. "These are for you!"

"Hurry up and blow the candles sensei, oh and make a wish too!" Itadori exclaims, breaking him from his daze-unable to comprehend the sight before him.

"Happy birthday Satoru" You smile at him while holding a cake out to him. Oh, he feels the warmth he thought he had lost forever. Seeing the people surrounding him. His body feels warm and complete, as a wide smile graces his face. Maybe this time?

"Thank you.."

He lowers his head and takes a moment before blowing away the flames in a single huff. He hears cheers from the students, while the adults stand around him with varying expressions.

"Finally, let's eat!" Panda exclaims while everyone gathers into the living room. The coffee table and dining table filled with an abundance of various food. Gojou hears chatter and laughter all around him.

"Hey sensei, what did you wish for?"

"That's a secret, Yuji kun!"

He wished for this warmth to never disappear.

Are these stupid kids who populate this fandom really THAT lacking in good taste today? 

It’s bad enough I’m finding fake Sasha fans insisting Gabi is worth anybody’s forgiveness, yeah I’m still not letting that go. But really now......

The anime who’s final act set up MULTIPLE characters and subplots it never had any sound plan to follow through on against all that Rumbling bullshit, the manga who’s ending left half the fanbase scratching their heads and questioning what its main protagonist was even fighting for or believed in, the series that treats its better characters like disposable trash, where 90% of the dialogue from Eren and his replacement Gabi is screaming and bullshitting, the anime where MAPPA insists on replicating the ugly ass manga art down to the last letter, the series that forgot it was supposed to be about TITANS and not Isayama’s personal politics, the series that gradually reduced the depth of Mikasa’s character to that of a music store standee, and a series that prided itself on some of the most unwatchable and torturous death scenes ever put to anime....

Rewatchable. Yeah, sure. A series that collapsed under its own aggressively overcomplicated mythos with bullshit like time loops and pulling Titan powers out of your ass hole from past Titans you didn’t actually inherit, and making you hate the original protagonists/victims of this story......No, dumbass. Its rewatch value was annihilated by the timeskip. 

I do NOT pity the fools who are still staying put for an ending they know sucked dick in the manga. After all, the fans are to blame for not holding Isayama’s feet to the fire when he started abusing the better elements. 

This story ended with the Ocean. It’s UNwatchable.

Forgive me if I spoil you but I saw you post some leaks so this is bothering me a lot, as to why the Warhammers are still on Eren’s side? If it’s that Armin and Zeke woke those they know, then Kruger shouldn’t be there unless it’s due to Grisha as well, fine even then it is known that Lara Tybur is against Eren so leaving it to the way that they could have gotten a massive ally on their side it makes no sense for them not to, at this point is this bad writing or something else?

The answer is simple: Isayama never cared about Lara Tybur. She didn’t even have a name until Mappa probably asked him. Her memories were irrelevant, so probably her will and wishes, too. She was literally only just a flashy tool Isayama used for a fight, and he made it a woman for brownie points.

Lots of stuff that happened here makes no fucking sense, so you’re free to interpret it as bad writing, Isayama is tired of this, Isayama is dumb, whatever.

I personally don’t care about analyzing the reasonings behind someone who also doesn’t care in the first place, not anymore.

One of the episode’s focuses was the meeting between Eren and Reiner, in addition to their general relationship. Here’s what a few people thought about the central motif of the meeting: 

At this point Eren's attitude is all like "It's nothing personal." 

Eren is in the same state of mind like reiner, he wanted to become the hero, yet he became a villan in the enemy's eyes

I think Eren's right. They're the same, and S1 and S4 parallel their actions in multiple ways. I honestly don't think Eren has any kind of grudge against Reiner anymore. I think he's moved on from his hatred and is just doing what he thinks he has to. And Reiner just seems ready to die so he doesn't have any kind of grudge either.

I think Eren is definitely holding a grudge, it’s not like him not too. 

Hell no, Reiner is an irredeemable monster. Based on the preview for the next episode, whatever Eren does from here on out is justified.

If Eren kills someone dear to Reiner, maybe Reiner will hold a grudge against Eren, otherwise they understand each other reasons.

I think they recognise each other’s efforts to protect their homelands (even if it means destruction) and their determination to do so, and that they have the same motivations and values. i think they don’t have a grudge against each other because they are able to see they are similar people who have just been placed on opposing sides, and that it is nothing more than their duties to bring down the enemy, but at heart, they hold the same values and morals.

I think it mainly shows how Eren has matured over the last few years. He knows Reiner’s intentions now, and he can admit that the two of them are similar without lashing out at him immediately and labeling him as a completely evil man (like he used to). I think Eren might still have some harsh feelings towards Reiner, but it definitely doesn’t seem like it’s his priority right now. Reiner doesn’t clearly display that he has a huge grudge against Eren (though I bet he still isn’t very fond of Eren). More than anything, Reiner seems to be struggling with his thoughts about his time in Paradis. It seems like he can’t accept the fact that Paradis Eldians are not all devils; he may be struggling to suppress this new perspective, and he forces himself to commit to his “honorary Marleyan identity” instead. Thus, I don’t think Reiner hates Eren as much as he used to, as he seems to be showing slight signs of sympathy towards the Paradis Eldians.

No Eren is now a grown ass adult when je was making his decision. Reiner was a kid he was like 11? 12? He didn't know he was an indoctrinated child and he suffered all his life for that. Eren isn't at all the same as Reiner. 

I feel like that emphasizes that the people of Marley and Eldia are no different from each other, just that they are on different sides. I do not think Eren and Reiner harbor a grudge against each other.

They’re both pretty fucking broken. I don’t think Eren or Reiner hate each other because Eren said “if it’s to save the world, then you didn’t have much of a choice.” But I also think part of Reiner wants Eren to hate him because he hates himself so much.

i think the old eren would hate him but it’s been 4 years and now i think he has realized that they are in fact very similar. i feel it is very interesting what happened but i think there would still be a minor grudge against each other

They both have the same purpose but different paths, to protect their loved ones from a threat. Since it's not really a personal issue but a bigger picture I don't think they resent each other, it's just a coincidence how they both ended up against each other.

LADY KIYOMI OF THE AZUMABITO CLAN SEEMED TO NOT STICK AROUND FOR TYBUR’S THEATER PRODUCTION. WHY? 52 Responses

An interesting development came in Episode 5 in the form of Lady Kiyomi of the Azumabito leaving Tybur’s Play before it started. The majority (just under 52%) thought it meant that she had ties to Eren and/or the SC. A large minority (34.6%) on the other believe that although she somehow found out about the attack beforehand, she has no ties to Eren. Some others were either already spoiled, believe she got lucky or think she had her own plans of assaulting Tybur during the play.

When it comes to Mr. Leonhart’s appearance and his convictions, the vast majority (83%) believe that Annie is alive. The major division comes about whether Annie will be able to reunite with her father or not. Some others believe that Annie is neither dead nor alive and is more permanently stuck in her crystalline state. Only one person believes she is simply dead and that’s that.

A bit of a less serious question came out here. How could Eren get across the sea in a less serious manner? Some thought him walking on water would be rather amusing, others believed piggy-backing on Armin’s Colossal Titan would be most humorous. Other options included free-styling across the sea or kayaking.

A plurality (45.3%) believes the lanky soldier who trapped Pieck and Porco is someone we already know. Though a little under 23% think that it’s actually a new character only Pieck knows. In a similar vein, 13.2% think that it’s a new character from the SC. 17% appear to have been spoiled, however.

Just shy of 50% think that Magath was already aware of Eren and/or SC’s presence in Marley when noting that “it” has already begun. When it comes to Willy revealing the “truth” to the world, the vast majority (72.5%) believe that Lord Tybur was largely truthful when it came to dropping bombshells, but also made sure to twist certain things to get a favorable narrative. Some others think that he was either completely or only partially truthful.

A rather noted accusation from Willy rained down upon Eren in this episode. And as a result, we gained a rather colorful pie chart to boot. In it, a slight plurality (23.5%) seemed to believe Tybur’s accusation when it came to discerning Eren’s future plans. Slightly less (19.6%) thought that Tybur was making up BS about Yeagerboy. The same percentage (19.6%) took a middle group, arguing that although Tybur actually believes this is Eren’s plan, Eren actually wants something different. Some others simply note that Eren couldn’t do that dastardly act, even if he wanted to due to lack of royal blood. 21.6% were spoiled about the story’s future. 

Pretty sure Eren wants to kill every last person outside of Paradis and is going to use Zeke’s royal blood to do so, but I think Zeke will be tricked or forced into it sonehow

When it comes to Falco and the whole letter fiasco, there is much sympathy for the boy. More than half gave a rating of either 4 or 5 and only 13.5% gave a rating of either 2 or 1. In conclusion, Eren is a mean poopy-head!

Staying on the topic of Falco, and Eren’s actions being contradictory to his words, almost 56% believe that although Eren was honest with his words in regards to Falco’s future, he had no qualms about letting that get in the way of his plans. A noted minority (28.8%) think that Eren hoped Reiner would protect the young boy. A small percentage also thought that Eren was simply lying to Falco.

When it came to the episode’s ending, the majority seemed to expect Eren’s transformation, be it because of spoilers or own predictions (58.8%). A noted minority (41.2%) did not expect it, however, predicting either a recruitment attempt from Eren or something else entirely.

WILD AND AN EMOTIONAL ROLLARCOASTER

As an anime only, i think that the choice of ost in this episode was beyond good. I don't see why people are complaining about the ost. For me it was perfect because Eren's transformation was like a sudden turn and 2Volts is perfect for that just like when they reveal the owl as the Attack titan. Wayyy better that YSBG or any ost that these manga readers were hoping it to be. Mappa and the production crew doesn't deserve any of these hate. Done ranting fgs.

Grim Reminder 2.0, but with Marley and the Warriors finally getting what they deserve for what they've done? I'm DOWN for that!

I’m wondering whether Historia is still Queen and how much character development she had gone through as a monarch during war

Assuming he lives through this battle, I think Falco is going to be one of the main characters in season 4. He has been telling himself that he “does not want to fight anymore” and he was probably influenced by what Eren (Mr. Kruger) had said to him on the bench. I can see Falco maybe rebelling against Marley in the future, but for now he’s clearly still devoted to Marley. Overall, I loved this episode, and season 4 is finally picking up with the action. I was looking forward to seeing our protagonists (Eren and the Scouts) again, and I thought it was interesting how Eren seemed much more mature, yet still somewhat insane in this episode. I am very excited to see the next episode, particularly to see the rest of the Scouts and to see what happens in the “war” Eren starts. I am also curious to see if anyone from any other nations decide to side with the Eldians, or if all of them simply believe Willy and hate the Paradis Eldians too.

manga readers really need to shut up and put bigger spoiler warnings 😐 loved the episode despite getting spoiled.

It was one of the best episodes of AOT I have seen, I truly don’t understand why or how people could complain about it. I’ve seen the posts about the soundtrack not fitting the episode but I honestly do not agree. The whole episode was perfectly directed and had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. 

Ost's totally fine, so is the CG. I think most are too invested in the episode to give a fuck except Manga readers. 

I wish the Paradisians would have found another way to achieve their objectives instead of killing innocent civilians, like maybe targeted attacks on key military targets, or demonstrations of strength or public information campaigns to dissuade Marleyans and other people from wanting to go to war against them.

In days past (Ch 1)

Woops my hand slipped and I started a chapter x reader story just for Hao. This will be following his life from childhood to his third life and along the manga at that. So there will probably be spoilers. 

Chapters: 1 (you are here)

You aren't originally from Japan, no you washed up on their shores when you were but a child of five, never able to understand the new words that reached your ears. 

They had thought you a demon, why couldn't you understand? Where did you come from? As more and more parts of a ship came to shore, it started to become clear. You weren't from here, no you had come here from a far off land the ship you and your family set out on had sunk and by the unfortunate looks of things it had just been you that survived. A small child of all things that could of made it? How was that fair to you? You're lost and wet and cold.. and so... very frightened. The villagers that surrounded you only seemed to gather more and more coming closer and closer. A young woman stepped forward hissing at the men that tried to come ever closer, wolves on a rabbit. They had listened and the woman came closer, crouching to your level reaching a careful hand out in hopes that you too would reach for her.

Instead you stepped back tears beginning to well in your eyes, teeth clenching a broken sob forced its way out of your throat. Standing there you wailed, all your family wanted was to leave the abuse of where you once came, start a new and now they have sunk leaving you afloat with people muttering words you'd never heard of before. Once you had calmed down the woman offered you food and a place to sit down touching your strange clothing that looked nothing like their own. Funny how two worlds meet and no one knows what to do with the new information.

"That child is a demon" An elder whispered to the woman, leaving you to stare. What'd he say? "This child is lost" She stated back, what did she say? She seems not to happy with him.

"I'm sorry" What did you say? This is a mess.

The rest of the day was spent like this, adults going back and forth, one by one each leaving you and the woman behind and away from the beach back to their village and homes and in the end the woman managed to bring you home being all the while gentle and careful with you using her hands to explain to you what she was saying. Although it was just pointing. She had changed your clothes, brushed your hair and even found a place for you to lay all the while you quietly sobbed and hiccupped. Each day she helped you learn, First it was her name "Hina"  Then it was hello, goodbye.. thank you so on and so forth. Each day she would teach you a few words at a time teaching you to repeat them and learn what they meant. It took so long for you to catch on trying hard to talk to her with the tongue of your birth, but Hina is a patient, lonesome and king woman. Days turned to weeks.. weeks to months and months to years the original language you came here with slowly slipped away into the new one Hina worked hard to teach you. Now where you two live was close to a forest. A demon use to live there she said, a woman who spoke to ghosts and so the priests had taken the life of this demon but never venture inside just because the demon woman is gone now did not mean other creatures hid in the darkness of the lush green leaves. You and Hina worked on a garden growing what seeds were offered and recently the growing goods you helped with started to disappear. At first your new mother thought it was the animals from the forest near by, or tricky little children who either were hungry or just wanted to take from you just in spite of you.

You didn't look like them, they mocked you for your struggle in trying to speak to them what you looked like. You HAD to be a demon. Who doesn't speak Japanese? What were the words you use to speak? Their parents would scold them, you weren't a demon but a child who washed up from some where else. Although you wondered if they were right. You always saw strange things in the forest or in the houses of others at night. You saw the old lady who died recently walk by once. She even spoke to you but that wasn't possible she died and then she vanished. Only demons and priests see ghosts... right? With a heavy sigh you sat on your knees in front of a window watching the garden. Movement, in the bush caught your attention sitting up you watched as a child maybe your age stepped out slowly into the garden his long hair framing his face, looking left and right making sure no one saw him sneak out of the woods a strange creature followed behind, its skin? or fur? white a horn poked from its head long tendrils hung from its head like hair? Or many ears? like a backwards crown. Watching as this kid took what your little family worked on, you burst to your feet and ran out the door.

"Hey! Stop it!" He looked up at you with a start, standing straight he turned and bolted back into the darkness of the thick brush. Giving a short frustrated yell you halted just on the boarder of the trees. The bushed trashed around before setting, staring into the brush you made eye contact with the boy, it was hard to see him through the leaves. Slowly you reaches forward pulling the twigs and leaves out of the way there the boy lay down hoping deep inside you would of just assumed he had gone and give up. Funny how a child thinks sometimes in  ways to defend themselves. The two of you stared at each other he cradled the stolen goods close to his chest in a means in protecting what is now his. Neither of you made a move time and sound seeming to stop.. a predator and prey staring each other down.

"Let us go Mappa Douji" The demon whispered to the boy, his eyes darted to the demon then back to you as he got back to his feet. "wait-" "Name!" Hima called to you, making you turn around to respond to your name. Twigs snapped as the boy ran away. Watching as he disappeared you whispered "Demon boy" letting the bush you and stepping back you made your way back to Hima "You know not to play by the woods" She said taking your hand and bringing you inside making you unsure if you should tell her about the thief. "I saw who was taking our vegetables and he ran into the woods" You stated the smell of baking bread wafting through the air.  "It's a young boy" "You shouldn't chase people into the woods, it could of been a demon trying to lure you" She spoke closing the door, you stared hard out to the woods where the "Demon boy" went.

He seemed so lonely. His eyes held a hurt in them a hurt you feel like you would be able to share but couldn't really reach to the idea of what that could be. It made your little heart drop at the thought. He also looked really hungry so... you guess you could forgive him for stealing. That night you couldn't get rid of the image of that boys face in your head and that creature.. was that a real demon? Something to worry about? It seemed friendly or maybe using that boy.
