My art:
My drawings, crafts and some cosplays. I mainly draw lots of fashion related illustrations. I grew up spending most of my youth in uniforms. Being able to wear different clothes helped me with my self esteem and gave me the freedom to express myself. That's why my art often features characters in different outfits. It's not just about looking pretty. I see it as a story in itself, where characters could express themselves in different ways.
I especially find Kny to be a very fashionable series so it gives me a lot to work with. I love to imagine what their preferences in clothes would be based on my understanding of their characters, and with respect to their original designs.
Beyond that, I also draw other things. I mostly love to draw characters bonding and being happy in their element.
I usually tend to draw wholesome moments between Kny characters. The series itself is tragic, but the happy moments also stood out to me and gave me comfort. I want to express that happiness I felt when I first read the manga, the happy moments they could have had, and the fleeting ones they had in between. I like almost all the kny characters, but Giyuu and Mitsuri are my absolute favs. I hope people who come to this blog can appreciate them as well.
My KNY OC Akari is also a love letter to this series. I love Kny a lot that I wanted to explore it further through the lens of my character, and to have her interact with my favs. Expects lots of her in my art tag, but I also talk about her in my...

Hai !! I’m sesealotuz! Please call me Sesea (c sea) or Ko !! self taught young artist on media who is fixated on Aquatic themes and Nezha + Kui Mulang (LMK) !
Currently into Lego Monkie Kid!! may have other fandoms too but it varies and changes a looot... might not post much art as I get pretty distracted when trying to draw... and as i post this im nearing my final exams!!
I do OC x CANON art, OC art and Fanarts if I can/feel motivated to!! I mostly Reblog and (almost) NEVER ask , DM, or even comment due to being VERY shy . I would like pr0shippers/nsfw acc (or anything that falls in the DNI criteria) to not interact mainly because I’m a minor AND feel uncomfortable with anything problematic. Anyone under the age of -13 DNI.
I do have other socials that I didn’t list on my carrd at all! but will probably list them later on. I go by @ sesealotuz/sealotuz on ALMOST all medias. (might change the medias that don’t match) and maybe I’ll list them on my listography (if i ever finish it)

I don’t do commissions at all, or post “completed art” as in polished and NOT sketchy ones. I do not take requests, although I can do art trades with moots/friends.

Anything about the Lego Monkie Kid Nezha discourse makes me very uncomfortable. Please do research about his age and not make so much fuss about it. (Side-eyeing Twitter & Tiktok). The “Eternally 12″ Is pure misinformation and I recommend reading threads/users who explain Nezha’s character in general. Or read JTTW & FSYY.
Not too comfortable with any (Canon x Nezha) ships, preferred not to see it much. and not much of a shipper, and kind of do not ship any canon x canon characters. (maybe rarepairs?)

Reintroducing Rin!
A little while ago I decided to do a small revamp of my yan oc Rin and change a couple things about his design and character I no longer liked. And they’re finally finished!
His updated information will be under the cut! Please feel free to ask things for them or suggest drawings I can do, I love talking about my boy! Also, all Rin posts will now be under the #Rin Lovemail tag so please block that if you don’t want to see the posts 💕
General Information
Rin is 21 years old and his birthday is December 4th! They are a pansexual demiboy and use he/they pronouns
He is doing a photography course at university and is currently in his last year
His favourite thing to photograph besides his darling is nature and wildlife! They especially likes taking pictures of pretty moths and other small insects that people usually dislike
Rin is 6’5, but because of their tendency to hunch over and his bad posture, he usually looks closer to being 6’3-4
They were often told that they have RBF and paired with his height it made him look scary and intimidating, so they make a conscious effort to widen their eyes and smile more so he looks more approachable
Rin’s younger brother is a very popular idol, and because of this he was always being pressured by his parents to pursue a similar career. This led them to becoming the drummer for a visual kei band when he was 17
The band was very popular, but they ended up quitting when they were 18 because they didn’t like the attention. He does still play the drums as a hobby though!
He currently works at a butler cafe, which he also doesn’t enjoy much but it pays well and they need the money for their expensive camera equipment
His hair is naturally greyish white, which makes it perfect for dyeing, but he doesn’t do it very often because he hates maintaining it. He will occasionally switch up the small dyed strand of their hair though, depending on what colour he likes more at the time which is definitely not influenced by his darlings favourite colour at all
Rin loves cooking and baking! He does most of the cooking for him and his roommate and he loves to bake cookies and sweets when they have downtime from uni and work
Although it may seem like Rin would enjoy romance movies, they actually prefer horror/suspense movies much more! They’re also super good at guessing which characters are going to die and in what order, it’s kind of a little game they play any time they watch a new one
He’s also a big fan of “scary” rollercoasters and haunted house experiences and the like! He’s very hard to scare or startle so he’s on like a small personal mission to find something that scares them
Yandere type!
Rin is a very soft yandere, he would never put his darling in any danger or uncomfortable situations. They just want the best for them and for them to be happy… and to maybe be a factor for their happiness
He’s like a big lost puppy, with the way he follows his darling everywhere they go. He’ll usually walk behind them because he’s worried he’d be overstepping their place to walk next to them. But if they invite him to walk with them, he’ll be over the moon
They have a constant need for validation and always worries that anything he does might upset their darling. But he also doesn’t want to annoy them by constantly asking if they’re happy/uncomfortable/upset etc so he’ll keep a mental list. They’re very attentive
Absolutely melts at any form of positive feedback from his darling. This includes anything from smiling at him, laughing at something he said or greeting him first to being allowed to hug them or hold their hand, and especially verbal praise
When dealing with people they consider to be threats, they are very clever about the way they go about it
He knows killing someone is very risky, so he’ll usually keep it as a last resort. Often times they’re able to just intimidate people enough to scare them off. He is 6’5 and capable of mustering up a deadly glare if the situation calls for it
And it’s quite easy for them to get away with it as well. Rin has a reputation for being a massive softie, and he looks like he’s on the verge of tears half the time. In what word is he intimidating? Sure he’s tall, but that’s all they’ve got in terms of fear factor… right?

It looks amazing! The jacket, the pants, the boots...! Toriyama swapped the colours of his old police uniform and I absolutely love it! Krillin also has white eyes like how he does in the manga!
Toriyama sure does love green and purple. Piccolo (green guy wearing purple clothes), Krillin (purple and green police uniform), Cheelai (green gal wearing purple clothes), Broly (green and purple clothing). Will Great Saiyaman be given purple tights instead of black so that he can have green & purple colours? (I kinda hope so)
I'm just excited to see what we get with Krillin in the future 😄😁
Toriyama really seems to like Krillin as a police officer. He saves ppl even when the world is not threatened to be destroyed. I'm hoping he has some good screentime.
Piccolo has his manga colors!! Yes! 🐌🎨
(I was wondering if he will have 4 fingers instead of 5 like in the manga, but he has 5 fingers still.)
Small changes that I didnt notice right away because I prefer his manga colours anyways. The red obi matches well with the red wrists he has. It's cool to see Piccolo get a visual change even if it is minute. Its as if anime Piccolo decided to change his outfit for the first time.
Piccolo has a house?! 🏡
I'm loving this so much! He has a Namekian house, lives in an area with plenty of flowing water in the mountains and isolated from everyone, and he even has a mail box! Can't wait to see what's inside. Will it be cool or comically empty? Lol.
What I'm loving about this bit of info we have is this... We are getting world building & further exploring the cast we love! Pan, Krillin, & Piccolo are getting some sort of development. We get to see their lives more! That is so great to see, y'all.
I feel that Toriyama is really trying to please fans of these other characters in a way. He keeps including them in battles and stories while the DB fandom that doesn't care about them says "retire them & get rid of them." Toriyama says "No!" & wants to keep having fun with these characters!
I'm interested in seeing the outfits other characters are in too. Everyone will go crazy over Goten & Trunks. I can't wait to see them grown up & what they will be doing! If we get EoZ Chi-Chi... that Chi-Chi is super beautiful! 😍 I wonder what design Videl will have 🤔 (EoZ Videl's design is one of my fav of hers. I like them legs...👀) And also what does Krillin's family look like. Will 18 have her Z hair? EoZ hair? GT hair styles? And Marron... I need to know if she will have a nose or not lol 😂😅. I prefer noseless so fingers crossed! 🤞
But also wanna know what Marron looks like so I can draw her with Tobi lol. Then, I will finally start writing my Tobi comic!
I'm all for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero!
And the title... Many ppl don't like it but I do. Gohan was temporarily a superhero, Krillin is a super-cop, there's a new character(s) that may or may not be a superhero, & young Pan who looks up to her family.
I wonder if the movie will follow Pan as she sees the different heroes in her life and how they help the world. 🤔
I expect this movie to be heartwarming and motivation for young ones and older fans. And of course some action is to be seen.
I'm glad Toriyama has been enjoying himself with these movies. And it is said he is doing a lot with this movie (the dialogue and art and ideas). He is very much involved in this. And this is why I doubt Toriyama is involved in the DBS manga much. He just corrects art here and there and gives it a pass. He enjoys working with the anime staff the most it seems. He's more focused on this and letting Toyotaro do his thing. But this bit on info about the 2022 movie has gotten me hype for DBS! The manga may suck at the moment, but at least we're soon getting this awesome movie that Toriyama is invested in!
Some ppl are just upset because they haven't seen Vegeta or Goku yet. Who cares?! They were all over the last movie and they'll definetly be in this one. Toei is showing off other characters and new things. Those 2 are in everything already. Some of y'all are acting like brats.
Ppl worry about the 3D stuff in this movie. It doesn't bother me. If it looks like FighterZ, or the cutscenes for DBZ: Kakarot, or 2D drawn on 3D, I don't care. It looks promising so far & I'm looking forward to it! 👍
This really brightened up my day. Its simple but it was good news. This gave me motivation I needed after the manga and other stuff has been killing my motivation.

or just a list of my ocs idk. this is the pinned post because i talk about my characters a lot, and i feel like it's good to know at least some context so you can understand a single cent of my content at all times. following this blog essentially dooms you to subscribing to a newsletter about these terrible mentally ill little buggers. you've been warned.
consider this my way of shooting guns in the air to keep the rent cheap.

this a little long. i have a lot of characters.
some of this is fandom-oriented! specifically undertale. if that bothers you... sorry?
i did my best to explain minor details and give context to certain words or phrases (particularly in apf) but it may clutter the character description a little. my apologies.
not every character has a drawn reference posted on tumblr, but the ones that do will have either their most recent reference linked OR the closest available thing to one.
some characters are rp-centric ocs and their information can change seemingly randomly. the list will be updated accordingly to reflect this.
this isn't all the ocs i have! just the ones that i talk about/mention most often/are just generally "major" ocs of mine. when i open drawing requests and/or ask games for my ocs, the ones listed here are the ones i'm referring to. ocs that are technically "major" but still not entirely fleshed out will not be mentioned, so if you wonder why someone isn't on the list, this is why.

Rigel - He/him or they/them, Gay and Acespec (Sex-Indifferent), at least 2,000 years old. Royal Divinain, or a person with two sets of horns, wings, and sometimes a halo. Head Monarch and basically king of Arboret, he's very relaxed and friendly... but he does have a few secrets that he'll go to great lengths to keep. Also my favorite character. Happily platonically married to Betel. (Reference)
Betelgeuse - They/them, Aromantic (Romance-Repulsed) and Asexual (Sex-Repulsed), 1,380 years old. Royal Divinain. Betel for short. Second Monarch of Arboret and technically Rigel's second in command, they're very rambunctious and often pick fights over laughably minor offenses. Value honesty. Happily platonically married to Rigel. (Reference)
Pollux - Ey/elz, Pansexual, 551 years old. Royal Divinain. Third Monarch of Arboret and the prettiest angel around, ey are very lazy and prefer fashion and small talk over pretty much anything and everything else. Lost elz left eye after tripping and falling face-first onto a rock a few decades ago. (Reference) (second image)
Aldebaran - She/her, they/them, or he/him, Bisexual, 376 years old. Royal Divinain. Aldeba for short. Fourth Monarch of Arboret and the designated parent friend. They're very hard-working and try to tend to the needs of everyone around them, but often neglects themself in the process. A genderfluid icon. (Reference) (third image)
Fomalhaut - He/him, Gay and Acespec (Sex-Indifferent), Xenogender (specifically a forest), 50 years old. Royal Divinain mutant, meaning he can't do magic of any shape or form. Fomal for short. Fifth and latest Monarch of Arboret, he's grumpy and closed-off after being shunned nearly his entire life just for being "incapable". Only became a monarch in the past two years. Altair - He/him, Gay and Xenogender (specifically the night sky), 48 years old. Royal Coloran, or basically a normal human with horns and the power to turn into a sea serpent. King of Requies, he's... distant at best, and emotionless at worst. Was blinded in an accident 22 years ago, and hasn't been the same since. (Reference)
Canis - He/him or they/them, Pansexual, 44 years old. Royal Lavian, or a humanoid with horns, wings, and a long furred tail. King of Sanctus, he's recently become nervous and quiet, but still earnestly wants to help everyone around him. Has taken to wearing a mask recently, and refuses to take it off. (Reference)

Nobody is quite sure where these strangers came from... something to do with the sky, perhaps? AKA an unrelated second original world because I really like biblical angel aesthetics. Has no real story, is mostly just for sandbox fun.
Reguel - They/them, Omnisexual, 1,982,643 years old. Some kind of biblical angel, and can change their form to something vaguely humanoid at will. Unironically a cult leader and all-around horrible person. Loves their datemate, Ophiel. Also known as The First Authority, or just The Authority. (Reference) (on throne on left)
Ophiel - Ve/vir, Demiromantic and Asexual (Sex-Repulsed), 120,643 years old. Some kind of biblical angel, and can change vir form to something vaguely humanoid at will. Reguel's right-hand-enby, ve are also a horrible person, happily indulging in torturing vir own species without a care. Loves vir datemate, Reguel. Also known as The Judge. Cassioel - She/her, Bisexual, 1,642 years old. Some kind of biblical angel, and can change her form to something vaguely humanoid at will. Tired, stressed, and wrecked with guilt, she just wants a normal life. Also known as The Second Authority, or just The Authority. No reference.
Rasael - De/der, a fledgeling, 1 month old. Some kind of biblical angel, but hasn't learned to change der form yet. Spoiled even worse than Archer, and has some volitile uncontrolled magic to boot. The offspring of Reguel and Ophiel. (Reference)
Hubel - Sil/Silv, definitely queer, around 121,000 years old. Some kind of biblical angel, and can change silv's form to something vaguely humanoid at will. Narcissistic and vain, sil only care about three things: being pampered, being loved, and being specifically pampered and loved by Reguel. Sil tend to switch between being male or female at the drop of a hat, but don't change silv's own pronouns. (Reference) (afab form only)

Formerly a grumpy assassin with an addiction problem, he's retired and is now just a slightly-grumpy dad that finally got over the aformentioned addiction. Currently engaged to his boyfriend. Ink Alternate. (Reference)
Lark - He/him, Bisexual, 35 years old. Sentient magic skeleton that's "errored", or constantly glitching in and out of existence. Formerly a manipulative bastard, he's gone through several traumas and lost his left eye and right arm in the process. Currently lives in space with some of his family. Nintendo's step-brother. Archer - He/him or they/them, a child, 1 year old. Nintendo's baby, and a guardian/sentient magic skeleton hybrid. Can teleport, run, and generate an infinite amount of paint from his hands. Very curious, easily-excited, and spoiled rotten. (Reference)
Greylu - He/him, Bisexual, 524 years old. A corrupted dryad taking the form of a sentient magic skeleton, also is made out of grey tar. Can manipulate and travel through darkness, create illusions, and summon a trident to fight with. Self-proclaimed king of his Multiverse that very recently became an actual king. Happily married with at least 20 children*, he's mostly kind and polite, and would do absolutely anything for his family. Gained tiny wings from an incident involving a certain reality-warping button and refusing to let go of it. Nightmare Alternate. (Reference) (on the right, disregard nintendo's old one)
Hood - He/him, Gay, 524 years old. A dryad with the body of a sentient magic skeleton. Can manipulate and travel through light, and summon a bow to fight with. Perpetually tired and deeply traumatized, he's constantly on edge and grieving for his former self. Also a huge nerd that writes everything down. Also also a DID system, seven alters. Asteri - He/him, Aromantic (Romance-Repulsed) and Asexual (Sex-Repulsed), 229 years old. Sentient magic skeleton with creation magic (same as Nintendo). Formerly naive and cheerful, he's gone through a bit of a trauma conga line and become serious, resentful, and jaded. Used to be friends with Caeru and Hood, but has since drifted away. Another OC design update. I’m still mad at my past self for deciding he needs to be bald. I’m even madder at my current self for agreeing lmao. At least I sorta like his new outfits
Anyway, this guy’s...a lot, to put it mildly. He’s kind of a devious figure in the world most of my ocs live in, while not really being a villain. Maybe someday I’ll draw proper pics of these characters again, for now I’m just gonna be plopping these design/bio thingys in-between fic updates and fanart

Name: Amaros
Alias: The Deity of the lost city of Arthanos/Ghost king
Age: He ascended when he was around his late twenties/early thirties. He has existed as a Deity for around 300 years, so he is the youngest higher being of this world.
Sexuality: It’s not exactly known what it was when he was a human, but it was suspected he had a preference towards men and/or androgynous folk, as the old legends about Amaros as a king always implied he wasn’t interested in his female concubines and only had them around for the bloodline continuity. He did treat them well though, just never had any emotional investment.
An ascended Deity: A mortal being who became one of the Deities of this world, instead of being natural-born one. (there’s 7 natural born Deities in this world; 4 Daughters of Mother Nature (Fire, water, earth, wind), The King of Night-realm (neutral darkness, meaning dream beings, nightly creatures and spirits, general symbolism of the night and so on), Queen of Magic (Basically all types of magic), and the Oracle/Apocalyptic Death (Mostly just a neutral observer who protects the very balance of the existing world, until it is time for it to die and reach the new cycle of existence)
Known relatives: Joshua (indirect descendant) Azul and Reuben Samaros (direct descendants)
Occupation: Former ruler of the lost warrior Kingdom of Arthanos, now a Dark Deity known for the power he can offer, but also the demonic monsters he commands, monsters you can turn into when borrowing the Ghost King’s power if you aren’t careful.
Personality summary: He is generally calm and calculative with fairly little empathy to offer. A devious figure who enjoys messing with people either for fun or for revenge. He is protective over his own peers though (such as his descendants and demons, and his ex-lover from when he was a human, Helias) and will make one’s life absolute hell if you harm them needlessly.
About his former kingdom
Arthanos was a very known and feared warrior kingdom for centuries, but it was recently destroyed when Joshua (the current heir to the throne) was a child, by a foolish mage who attempted to perform the ritual that Amaros had done, failing at it.
Most citizens of Arthanos were either killed by turning into crystals, or morphed into mindless demons that Amaros can now control. Those left alive scattered all over the world, some still carrying the risk of transforming as well if they use their powers too much.
The ruins still attract looters and explorers, though you need to be really brave to step in there, as Amaros will absolutely taunt and terrorize any foolish figure daring to step into his territory, at least if you are an outsider.
About Amaros
Amaros used Helias’ special blood as a vital part of his ritual, which also required the sacrifice of a large chunk of his citizens. As a result of this, Helias’ sister especially still hates his guts, while Helias feels conflicted
Helias really fell for him because of his naivety, as Amaros has always been able to charm people easily. That being said the Ghost King is genuinely fond of him and did in fact save Helias’ life centuries later when their kingdom Mirthas was attacked and Helias almost died.
He turned himself into a Deity to protect his kingdom from a very powerful and dangerous enemy, but what this enemy was has been forgotten by time; even Helias and Gwendolyn no longer remember what or who it was.
Basically, he’s bit of an asshole who tends to go to the extremes to reach his goal. He’s an asshole within reason however, not doing extreme things just for fun. (messing with people is different as he doesn’t see it as extreme)
Amaros can summon his demons from his misty collar, or morph it into things, like wings, spider like legs, even long clawed arms reaching out towards you. He can actually also still transform into his human form if he wants to, sometimes even taking the shape of his child self
Amaros has the ability to change and modify any information about him, be it written, pictures or even hearsay tales. He can’t typically erase facts, but he can add to them, or create new things. Therefore anything containing information of the Ghost King is considered highly dangerous artifacts, because he will always know if you have it, and can do whatever he wants with it either to help or hinder you at anytime.
This is also why there are no children’s tales about Amaros even as a scaring tactic because it’s just too dangerous to make something like that. Only the most experienced and cautious mages are allowed to handle his artifacts and things containing information about him.

Pokèmon World Magazine: Porygon Net (Various Issues)
We’ve had a very long streak of Photoset posts lately, didn’t we? Let’s have a little break from anime and tie-in games and let’s go back to oldschool Pokèmon and my favourite childhood magazine, Pokèmon World!
This summer I'm working on my own portfolio site: it's getting built from scratch and, due to the kind of art it's going to showcase, I'm designing its layout to look like one of those old personal pages a lot of Internet users used to have back in the first 2000s. This choice was also influenced by one of my childhood dreams, which was, infact, owning a corner of the Net all for myself; without the right equipment or spare money to purchase a domain, though, the idea of having my page online was only hypotetical, so all I could do was designing some cute layouts on Microsoft Frontpage and admiring what others were doing. Of course, as Pokèmon was my main interest at the time, I found the Porygon Net section of Pokèmon World mag to be extra inspirational.
Porygon Net was a very small section with just a double page: every month, the magazine's staff would choose and review an italian site dedicated to everyone's favourite monsters. These online corners were, most of the times, built by fellow readers and fans who sometimes even wrote back either by mailing the staff or boasting about it on their site's news section, thanking for the feature and the subsequent wave of new visitors. As these places were built by teens or even kids (I may have seen some online pages managed by 10 year olds at the time o.o), their quality varied greatly depending on their web-making skills: some were very simplistic, other more orderly and neat, and some... showed potential, but needed more work. Pokèmon World's staff, though, never mocked these attempts, and instead also published suggestions to make certain parts of the site more functional and pleasing to the eye. I found this very encouraging, and I wonder if many of these people have continued with a career in the online world.
I went and browsed among my mag issues to find some sites to showcase: I mostly picked the ones that stuck in my mind since reading about them, or that I actually used to visit back in the day. Wayback Machine may have not been kind to the italian community, and I fear the majority of these sites are now lost; however, I'll post links if, surprisingly, I find them still alive!
Issue 4: Pokemon Mania
The pictures have been displayed in chronological order, but I still would've chosen to display this site first as I used to actually visit it before it was featured on Pokèmon World. Due to its easy and straightforward name, Pokèmon Mania was one of the first fansites to show up on the search engine if you ever looked for more Pokèmon content. It was managed by a guy with the alias of Professor Kao, and the whole feeling of the site was that of a Pokemon lab at the start of your monster journey. Though it wasn't exactly a marvel in terms of layout esthetic, the site aimed to amaze with content: it had simple browser fangames, a section dedicated to drawing tutorials (with pictures taken from japanese sources- which at the time were very scarce and hard to get!), many sections dedicated to the Cardgame (apparently, the main focus of Kao's Pokèmon interests) and its live tournaments, and one centered on the monsters' trivia. One very interactive section even proposed quizzes given by the webmaster himself that visitors could answer via mail: Kao would then contact winners and even send out special official merch like Pokèmon Center plushies or other branded toys. Generous! This site has been preserved in the Wayback Machine with a lot of snapshots, though unfortunately without many graphics. We can still navigate and read most of the sections!
Issue 20: Pokemon Museum
My second site of choice striked me with its very homely layout: even looking at the snapshot in its article feels like I'm viewing a cozy corner of the Net, in which the webmaster poured its personal thoughts and passions more than providing a service like PokèmonMania did. The issue is number 20 and quite some months have passed: online trends regarding these kind of pages had changed a bit and now people preferred to offer their own content instead of copy-pasting what Nintendo produced. Pokèmon Museum's graphics have all been drawn by the owner, Kabutops: the background texture, banner, and a lot of the graphics all around the sections! Kudos for being to prolific and precise during a period in which digital art still hadn't reached its peak popularity, and drawing tablets were only restricted to professionals. Going past the many sections dedicated to the anime, games and lore, one interesting aspect was the beginning of affiliates: fellow webmasters were starting communicating with eachother and sharing their visits by dedicating a little button to other sites. I loved the affiliates section because, once finished looking through a site, I could click on the cute little rectangle banners and find myself in another home without passing from Google searches! But webmasters wouldn't affiliate with everyone, and for the purpose of only interacting with other best Pokèsites, awards had become popular as well: graphics that people would exchange after rating a site and feeling impressed with their content, presentation, or popularity. Pokèmon Museum's magazine review focused on its affiliates and the awards, inviting fellow readers to have their site reviewed by Kabutops. Unfortunately, the site is not present on Wayback Machine. I'll never know if Kabutops came back updating its museum after summer vacations :(
Issue 35: TBPS
Let's have another jump of several months; issue 35 featured a page under the bigger domain Pokevalley and named itself The Best Pokèmon Page, rather narcissistic! This was one of those rare times Pokèmon World featured an english-speaking site. The layout doesn't impress me too much, yet the fact that the header reads "Crystal Water Version" conveys that the webmaster(s) used to periodically change aspect and palette of their site, an activity that proved to be very prolific for many page owners at the time: sites were often in construction, and people were experimenting with different colours or HTML code tricks to impress viewers and reviewers, have as many affiliates as possible and collect positive awards from other sites. Such was popularity, back in the day! The site has a long menu with many sections dedicated to the main games and movies; although, none of those pages were catching anyone’s attention anymore as everyone had the same copypasted guides and info; instead, what’s interesting is the hefty section dedicated to browser games, the big menu with pages concerning the site and staff themselves, and the oekaki board! Oekakis were very popular in that period, as it allowed fellow aspiring artists to meet eachother and show off their own skills by drawing live! If a site hosted one, they could quickly become a melting pot of creativity. Wayback Machine, sadly, doesn’t have anything concerning this site as well.
Issue 36: Arcywof
We’re back on italian sites with a page that definitely impressed even Pokèmon World’s staff for its pleasing graphics. When I first saw this among the magazine’s pages... my eyes lit up! I can’t hide that after seeing its beautiful palette, checkered background and condensed menu, teen me adopted Arcy & The Fire Pkmn as design guru: many of my subsequent mockup pages had exactly this layout, or variations of it. It’s too bad, though, that aside from the beautiful presentation, the site’s contents aren’t exactly interesting: the Pokèmon images are ripped straight from Nintendo’s official archives, and most sections are concerning the anime’s characters, episode plots, and broadcasting dates. However, Arcywof also offers a forum and a live chat, which definitely helped the staff build an interactive and affectionate community around it. Among all reviewed here, I’m most bitter that Wayback Machine hasn’t archived this site, because seriously, it’s a little jewel ;w; its pastel colours and checkered texture remind me of candy shops!
Issue 38: Pokemon Super Site
I wanted to finish this little jump in the past with a positive note and show at least one more saved address from Wayback Machine. Although not in its updated version originally featured in Pokèmon World Issue 38, Pokèmon Super Site has been archived and it’s more or less complete to explore. It’s too bad a lot of the graphics haven’t survived but hey it’s something! It’s 2003, and the trend has changed once again: forums are as popular as ever and considered one of the most successful ways to build a solid audience for one’s own page, which are now treated more like portals or an extension to the forum itself. Super Site’s sections are centered on game guides, nothing too special, but I do love the grey and white grid background on menus and header, as if we’re viewing a notebook page; reminds me of school days. I also really like the gifs section as featured in the review, all those old graphics bring back so much memories of scouting the net to save them all on hard drive!
If you stumble upon one of these sites in Wayback Machine, chances are the ever present affiliates buttons will still be working, allowing you to visit even more fansites. It’s a true trip to the past, and a never ending source of inspiration for me!

2020 July Update
Things have gone slowly... again.
The good news is that the game is now submitted to the console "authority" and it's entirely off my hands. Once it gets through the console "checking" process, it can get a release date and we can sprint towards release. Until then, it'd be at least a month's wait or more until I hear anything. Understandably, their checking process is impacted by Corona, so wait times are increased.
On my end, I was also slow to submit the game. I submitted it late late June, since I ended up spending 7 weeks fixing bugs (and not 2-3 weeks like I estimated in the last blog post). There were just SO many bugs - now squished, thankfully. Since this is a blog post, I'll talk about what kind of bugs I've been fixing.
The other thing that slowed down the submission process was simply due to unfamiliarity with how these submissions proceed. There were pages and pages of stuff to read, guidelines to follow, and legalese to wade through. It really made me wish I had a publisher to guide me through the process. But I was able to clear it with a couple days work. I had an impression that the submission process went like A->B->C->D, with no room for concurrency. Turns out I could have done steps B & C at the same time and sped things up by 2 weeks... So that's that. I'm taking that as a lesson for next time.
The Console Revealed
What is this console that I talk about so stealthily? So that this blog update isn't completely unexciting, I'll reveal which console I've been working on until now. Drumroll please!
It's Switch!
We actually got the Switch dev kit in late 2017. From my understanding, around this time in the USA, the Switch kit was quite hard to get for indies as it was just starting out and high in demand. So I was surprised that my application got approved. I didn't know it then, but the game would still need a few more years of development...
Tweaking performance and fixing bugs
Here you can see my "expert" playtest setup. Since the Switch is more powerful while docked, I needed to playtest it in handheld mode, so I could catch and profile any problem areas where the framerate was unsteady. The most common thing that caused framerate drops were areas that went overboard with lighting. For these areas, I'd tweak or swap out the lights with alternatives that looked similar while also being less computationally intensive. Maintaining 60 FPS is a must!
An old camera (Nikon D3100) trained at the screen recorded my playthrough and would let me rewind to any moment a bug occurred. It could only record in 10 minute chunks, so I'd have to repeatedly repress the record button. On the plus side, because it's so old the movie file sizes were small and convenient.
The number one bug that I tracked and fixed in the past two months was what I dub the "Gear Ring De-equip" bug. The Gear Ring functions as customizable shortcut keys for the player to map items and tools (see an old video demonstration HERE). Through regular use of the inventory, somehow the equipped items on the Gear Ring would be de-equipped. It was an elusive bug since the de-equip event would happen very quietly and you would only suspect something had gone wrong much later. By then, the trail had gone cold and you weren't sure if a de-equip had actually occurred or if the player had simply de-equipped the item themselves. Two other playtesters noted that something left the Gear Ring in their playthrough, but I dismissed them. "Are you sure you didn't just de-equip it yourself?" It was a bug that bred mistrust and discord. I didn't truly believe it until it happened to me...
Luckily, with the camera setup, I was finally able to track it. In the literal 67th video, I caught a live instance of the bug occurring. After which, it was all too easy to recreate the exact same inventory and gear ring setup and replicate it.
(With this exact item layout, combine the 2nd item with the 14th item... and viola! Gear Ring de-equip!)
After fixing this bug, I then proceeded to fix it 5 more times. Every time I fixed it, it would later reappear through a different mechanism.
Why do bugs like this happen? Underneath, there are two lists of items. Tools on the right and items on the left. Items can occur multiple times because they're consumable. Both lists start counting their indexes with the value 0. However, both items and tools co-exist on the gear ring. So to uniquely identify an entry you need both the item ID and the data index. Failure to check both data types resulted in bugs like the Gear Ring de-equip. Now throw in a bunch of item operations that can confuse the system. You can split items, combine items, swap items, or discard items. The more freedom you allow, the more ways there are for the system to trip up.
If you didn't get all that, that's alright. It was needlessly complicated. Imagine doing more and better and with less code and less bugs! Such a thing is possible if you start with the right design. I'm definitely taking notes here on how to design inventory systems for next time. In the meanwhile, I'm very confident I've squished all inventory related bugs.
Other bugs squashed and features implemented in the past 2 months include the end game arts not unlocking properly, collection percentages climbing beyond 100, stray doors floating in the sky, low HP sfx blaring when loading different files, balance tweaks on bosses, a max HP display when the menu is open - too many to count really! It was only after I fixed them all that I was confident enough to move forward with submitting the game. I apologize for the delay this will cause!
PC version back in progress
You may recall in the March 2020 update I talk about how in pursuing the Switch version, I unwittingly ruined the PC version. Well, since the game is "done" now and I'm waiting for it to go through the checking process, I've started working to reclaim the PC version.
And there is some good news to report. The PC version can compile again! Of course, it will need to have some work done, since it was late 2017 when I last had a functioning PC build.
The opening menu is broken, the underlying save file system needs to be updated, and the controls... oh Lord, the controls. Controls were probably the #1 factor in pushing me to pursue a console version first. There are just so many controller options. Even just the usual suspects are numerous: Xbox, Nintendo, Sony, Logitech, Hori, 8Bitdo, Steam...
One of the number one complaints received regarding the flash game (which was keyboard primarily) was that I didn't allow controller rebinding to start. It was then that I learned of the vast array of different keyboard types.
(Ever heard of an Azerty keyboard?)
I shan't make the same mistake twice! One of the things I'll definitely tackle is the Right/Left face button feud when it comes to which should one should be 'confirm' and which one is 'cancel'. I want to allow the player to choose which is their "YES" and "NO" preference and allow that to overlap other actions like Attack or Jump.
Even after control bindings are taken care of, some things just won't translate well. The right control stick is currently used to access the gear ring and for fishing. Keyboards have no right stick. Aiming the crossbow with a full 360 degrees of range is done with the left control stick - if keyboard only, would the crossbow simply be locked to the 8 cardinal directions? What about those tutorial prompts with button graphics (e.g. "Press 'B' to Jump"). If using the playstation controller, it'd need to be the CROSS symbol. How many button graphics are we gonna load into the text module? What if the player, mid-playthrough, decides to swap out controllers? Indeed, there are many issues to tackle where controls are concerned...
Perhaps I'm overthinking it because even some AAA games get this wrong (Dark Souls has 'B' as 'Yes' on Switch, and it's not remappable, which I find quite annoying). I've seen games on consoles where the controls wouldn't mention the console's controller at all but instead mention a mouse and keyboard. Or, if you remapped the controls, the tutorial prompts still showed the old control bindings, making for a confusing experience. I definitely want to do the controls justice, so this will take some time.

Ryan and Firana have been running a Phoenotopia discord since late 2017, which I promoted on this blog once. It's been a couple years and it turns out that the old discord link I promoted expired. Cody G. returns with this pair of sketches of Gail. One seeks to answer the question, "how is Gail so strong?" Cody's answer is that under her sleeves she's actually really buff! This might be the most ripped rendition of Gail yet. Also, in the right drawing, the letter 'E' kinda melds with her bat, making it look like a keyblade!
What if Gale was a Shrek character? A new artist, Samu Kajin, from tumblr answers that question with a rendition of Gail sporting ogre style antennae. Samu Kajin says she can be called "Gaek" or "Shrale". I like the poncho!
Shafiyahh returns with a pretty portrait of Gail. Unlike their previous digital pieces, this one was made with color pencils! I like how her hair blends pink and purple colors together, and this pattern is also present in the eyes. Reminds me of a certain character. And the eyes are so sparkly despite using color pencils! Major props!
Negativus Core also returns with this relevant image of Gail, masked and running, presumably from Corona. It gave me quite a chuckle! I like the angle and tilt of this run pose because you can see the sole of her foot - that's how you know she's at full sprint! A skillful blur localized to her left foot show's just the right amount of motion. Gotta love the robot's expression too!
A rare 3D art has emerged. Dany Q crafted this adorable figure of Gail that is as cute as a button! I like how well it translates the pixel character over to 3D, capturing the 3 stitches on her shirt and even catching her stray strand of hair. It kinda reminds me of a Wallace and Gromit character, so I can picture it moving and animating in that unique claymation style.

I'm ~80% confident we can clear the Switch console checking process and drop the trailer with a release date before the next blog post. But once again, if things go slowly, you'll hear from us in 2 months...

summary: The amount of deviant cases your department has been receiving is concerning to say the least. After pressuring the android manufacturing company, CyberLife, they send an android to assist your department in finding out what is causing the deviancy in so many androids lately. His name is Mark, and as soft as he seems on the outside, you can’t help but be utterly terrified by him.
A/N: This story is based on the world of the video game “Detroit: Become Human”. Just replacing Connor (one of the main characters) with Mark and putting y/n in it. You don’t need to know anything about D:BH to read the story, as I explain everything the reader needs to know as the story progresses! While it doesn’t follow the plot word for word all the time, sometimes I need to look up the cutscenes and repeat them to help progress the plot (like the negotiation scene in this prologue). Warning: It might take me awhile to update, but it also it might not, lol. I’m awful about staying on top of fics. Enjoy!
prologue: “My name is Mark”
One more fucking deviant case and you’d lose your goddamn mind.
It was only a matter of time until the deviant jumped off the balcony with the little girl in his arms, sending them both to their dooms. It was a little more imperative for the girl, considering she was actually alive. The android was expendable, but given the fact that it was holding her hostage outside on the balcony, that was going to prove difficult.
Every SWAT officer that’s gone out to stop it was met with bullets aiming with perfect accuracy and an inability to get closer, risking the girl’s safety.
“One more team, just send one more, we’ll get him this time-” your colleague was suggesting as the both of you stood in the office of a once peaceful family home, before the android turned on them and killed them all, except for the little girl he was currently holding near the edge of the pent suite’s balcony.
“It didn’t work the first two times, it won’t work a third, Taeil. We wait for the negotiator to arrive to diffuse the situation-” Donghyuck, your other colleague cut Taeil off before he committed the same offense.
“What’s a fucking negotiator going to do?! That deviant was beyond the point of reason the minute it went nuts!”
“Both of you, shut up,” you groaned, holding your fingers to your temple. You were currently sitting in the office chair, trying to sooth yourself from one of the most stressful moments in your career, no doubt. “No one likes the situation right now, cause frankly, there’s currently a 5% chance that this kid is making it out without falling to her fucking death. If we go against orders and things turn as sour as we’re expecting it to, we’re in for a lot of shit from the head of department that ordered this new approach. We wait, and we obey orders.”
“Oh, nice, so we’re just going to sit and watch as a blue headed android just hops off the roof murdering another innocent human, further dispelling the faith the people have in their safety around androids, only further increasing the rate of android deviancy and cases we’re already overwhelmed with, yeah, you’re so right.”
Taeil had a reason to be stressed out about this. Androids had been implemented into society now for about 30 years. Nearly everyone had one, if they could afford it. They were perfect companions, workers, and entertainers. They came in anyway you could want them: tall, short, dark, light, young, and old. You could program them however you wanted. They could be funny (honestly, you never thought comedic androids were actually funny), kind, obedient, or even sarcastic.
It wasn’t until three months ago that a crime involving an android popped up in your department. An android turned on it’s human, stabbing her fifty times in the chest. It was so shocking at the time, which made it worse when just three more cases appeared in the next two weeks. Now you're on your seventh case, though there have been many more handled by other factions of the PD. One thing all of these cases clearly had in common: deviancy.
The only thing every single android was required to have in common was obedience. It was never allowed to go against its owner’s will. Technology isn’t supposed to disobey. Bad things happen when that occurs. And boy, were they happening. Like the bad thing happening right now.
“Could you- Would- Piss off,” you end up yelling, earning a flinch from the SWAT officer that walked by the open door. They were standing by as the final resort.
“I just want this shit to be over, thank you very much,” Taeil defensively crossed his arms and leaned against the only wall not hidden by dressers with the family’s pictures. It was suffocating to sit in a home just so freshly destroyed.
“Well, it looks like it will be, cause guess who’s here?” Donghyuck mumbled.
You looked up from your shoes to see what he was talking about.
An android dressed in a stereotypical investigative uniform strode up to the door frame, stance practically perfect. No one needed the glowing serial number on the pocket of his jacket, the blue band wrapped around his arm, or the LED ring on the side of his temple to know that he was an android. He had black hair with bangs parting out, and high cheekbones. He looked young, he seemed to have been designed with a baby face in mind. If he were just a human, he’d probably be a teenager or a college student.
He smiled. It looked so realistic. Androids look just like people these days.
“Oh my god,” Donghyuck responded. The android looked puzzled, blinking a few times as his smile dissipated.
“I didn’t say anyth-”
“They sent a fucking android to talk us out of an hostage situation cause by an android?” Donghyuck exasperated.
“Okay, enough, we need to get that girl out,” Taeil said. “What are you doing?”
“Hello. My name is Mark. I’m the android sent by Cyberlife,” he introduces himself. His voice has an odd chirp to it, like he was programmed to come off as friendly as possible.
“I hate him already-”
“Donghyuck, stop it, we don’t have time.”
“You’re damn right we don’t,” Taeil had enough and walked out the room, squeezing by Mark standing in the doorway. “This way.”
Mark followed him, allowing you and Donghyuck to do the same. You walked into the living room where the sliding doors that led to the balcony were located. The bodies of the last SWAT team lay on the ground by the pool, one fallen inside of it. No one in the room was fazed by it.
“The situation,” Tail started. “The Acharya family is home, their daughter is coming home from school. At 5:24 pm, the father is murdered by the android on the couch with a handgun. The mother follows after coming out of her room to see what is going on. The daughter returns home at 5:40 pm.”
As Taeil explains, Mark begins looking around the apartment. Any other time an officer would ask what the hell he was doing, but since Taeil was talking and didn’t seem to care, you figured it was fine. He went into the kitchen, as it was combined with the living room in a big space. He notices the stove top, which obviously causes you to be aware of it. Water is boiling, who knows for how long at this point. He turns it off, setting it on one of the inactive burners. You raise an eyebrow but nearly instantly forget about it.
“Then, she calls the police but is then taken hostage by the android. They are currently outside, on the edge of the roof ready to fall off any minute now. He has held her at knife point the whole time, making the sniper unable to shoot. Your job is to get him away from her, preferably without killing her.” A brief, but not long at all, silence looms before Mark says something.
“Do we know the android’s name?”
“...uh”
“What kind of question-” Donghyuck laughs, cutting himself off as if in frustration.
Mark doesn’t miss a beat, “I’m going to need more information to ensure the best approach. There is currently only a forty-eight percent chance of this mission being a success.”
“Yeah, and the longer we wait, the more quickly it becomes 0-”
“Five minutes,” you state. Sure, maybe Taeil should have the final say since he is your senior in both age and experience, but you don’t care right now. Taeil sends you a glare, momentarily staying silent before letting out one of the most stressed out sighs you’ve ever heard him breath.
“Five minutes, or I’m going out there myself.”
Mark seems to briefly look at you and Taeil as to acknowledge your permission before further inspecting his surroundings. Taeil walks off, going to talk to a SWAT officer. Donghyuck is still outwardly paranoid, leaving the room as he tries to cool down.
You? You watch Mark. Someone’s got to make sure this beta testing droid doesn’t do stupid shit. Okay, maybe less so that and you were just curious.
He walks over to the body of the father (still on the ground, you tried to ignore it the best you could), and takes the holographic tablet out of his hands. He unlocks it somehow, looking through it. Soon he puts it down and goes off somewhere. You follow him, he doesn’t seem to pay you any attention, though.
He, interestingly enough, goes into the girl’s bedroom, indicated by the giant teddy bear residing in it. He looks around, noticing a few things. Frankly, you have no clue what he was doing. But it was too much of a bother to prod him for answers.
He picks up a different tablet this time, unlocking it. Audio playback begins, drawing your attention. You then notice that it’s actually a video playing. You can see it from around Mark’s torso, given the angle created by standing in the doorway of the bedroom. What on earth was he doing?
“This is Jaemin!” the girl’s voice declares. The video shows her face, that then pans out to show her arm around an android. The blue-haired one you were dealing with at this very moment. But his hair was brown in the photo. Not strange, given most androids had automatic hair color changing options. “The coolest android in the world! Say hi, Jaemin!”
“Hello,” he smiles widely, waving at the camera. They both look so happy. While the video quality is significantly good, the slight distortion of the medium causes ‘Jaemin’ to look practically human, if it weren’t for the commercial android uniform. It was illegal for an android not to wear a uniform identifying that they were digital animals.
Mark puts down the tablet, ending the video playback and continuing his short investigation. He proceeded to the next room, doing just about the same thing there that he did in the last one. He kept this up until Taeil finally yelled out that the five minutes were up.
You followed Mark until you were just in front of the sliding doors, where Mark was about to walk through to diffuse the situation.
“He’s heading out now,” Taeil spoke into his receiver. With that, he opened the door. A burst of wind came through when the door opened, likely from the helicopters that had been circling around now for over an hour.
“This is going to go terribly,” Donghyuck spoke calmly, finally.
“Have a little faith, will you?” You shoved him with your shoulder, arms crossed.
“Just because you think he’s cute doesn’t mean you should have any faith, (y/n).” You hit him on the side of the head. “Oww.”
“I don’t think he’s-”
“The two of you need to shut up, we can’t hear what’s going on.”
The minute Mark stepped out, a gunshot rang. Donghyuck instinctively grabbed you and pulled you down, pulling the both of you away from the door.
“STAY BACK!” you heard the android yell out. You recovered your wits quickly, trying to look at Mark. A new blue blood stain is on the floor right outside the door, coming from Mark. You naturally looked to see if Mark is okay, even if it logically wouldn’t make sense for him to be in pain. He is looking down at the fresh wound on his chest, without any hint of pain in his face. It gave you chills. Androids didn’t feel pain, and as long as they could function with all their parts working, they could take anything.
“Holy shit,” you heard Donghyuck whisper.
“MOVE ANY CLOSER AND I’LL JUMP!” Jaemin yelled, holding the girl with his other arm. She screamed, begging for her life. It’s horrifying to see.
“Get into position, go, go, go!” Taeil speaks hurriedly into his receiver, likely speaking to the sniper squad. The SWAT team that stands by lines up behind the door, ready to burst out at any moment. The situation is at its highest level of intensity that it’s been tonight.
This is it.
“Hi, Jaemin!” Mark yelled over the noise. So he proves he knows the android’s name, you think. So what? “My name is Mark!”
“How do you know my name?!” Jaemin questioned, the gun still pointed towards Mark, and frankly the rest of you as well.
“I know a lot of things about you,” Mark continued yelling over the helicopters outside. “I’ve come to get you out of this!”
A second later, a helicopter swung around too close to the balcony, producing an even higher gust of wind and blowing the lawn furniture off the ground. It doesn’t hit anyone, but it definitely irritated a certain deviant.
“I know you’re angry, Jaemin,” Mark spoke again. Yeah, why the fuck was he so pissed? You thought to yourself.
“But you need to trust me, and let me help yo-”
“I DON’T WANT YOUR HELP! NOBODY CAN HELP ME, ALL I WANT IS FOR ALL THIS TO STOP I-... I JUST WANT ALL THIS TO STOP!” He pauses a moment before becoming aggressive again.
“Are you armed?!” he asked.
“I have a gun,” Mark responded. He slowly reached behind him, pulling a handgun out before tossing it aside. You’re deadly silent until Donghyuck impatiently interrupted your focus.
“Is he fucking crazy?”
“He’s doing great, now shut the fuck up,” Taeil whispered angrily in his and your direction.
“There,” Mark said gently, despite keeping his voice loud and clear. “No more gun.” Another short silence settled before he kept slowly approaching the deviant, or Jaemin as you guess his name was.
“They were going to replace you,” he continued talking. “That’s what happened, right?”
“... I thought I was part of the family,” the deviant pathetically confessed. “I thought I mattered… But I was just their toy! Something to throw away, when you’re done with.”
“I know you and Kiara were very close,” Mark sympathised. Or at least he appeared to. Kiara? That must be the girl’s name, you reasoned. Did he find that out when he was looking through stuff? “You think she betrayed you, but she’s done nothing wrong-”
“SHE LIED TO ME!” the deviant cried. Mark stopped, doing something unexpectedly. He looked away from the hostage and the deviant, to one of the officers on the ground. He leaned down, observing before speaking out again.
“He’s losing blood. We need to get him to a hospital or he’s going to die,” he said. The action was very weird, in your opinion. But maybe it’s part of his tactic. You guessed that’s what Donghyuck also thought because he wasn’t saying anything.
“All humans die eventually,” the deviant said coldly. It nearly gives you a shiver. “What does it matter if this one dies now?”
Mark seems to ignore him, starting to turn the officer on his back and do something. Another shot rang, nearly hitting Mark and the officer.
“Don’t touch him!” the deviant yelled. “Touch him and I’ll kill you!”
“You can’t kill me,” Mark stated. “I’m not alive.” He continues whatever he’s doing, seeming to forget about the mission for a moment.
“Whatthefuckwhatthefuckwhatthefuck-” Donghyuck starts whispering. You covered his mouth with your hand, trying to shut him up. How the hell did they let such a hot-headed person get on the force?
Mark finishes what he’s doing, which you guess was to try to stop the bleeding. He stood up, a tie now gone from his uniform. He continues to approach slowly.
“It’s not your fault. These emotions you are feeling are just errors in your software.”
“No… It’s not my fault. I never wanted this. I-” Jaemin goes limp for a moment, hand with the gun falling to his side. “I love them. You know?... But I was nothing to them,” he picks up his gun again. “Just a slave to be ordered around. AUGHH-” he suddenly bursts. “I CAN’T STAND THAT NOISE ANYMORE!” The helicopters. Obviously. They’ve been around for hours. “Tell them to get out of here!”
Taeil spoke something into his receiver in order to do so, but you are hardly listening anymore. Mark is so close. Soon the helicopters left and the negotiation continued.
“There,” Mark assured. “I did what you wanted.” Mark is practically standing in front of him at this point. Jaemin seems hesitant and does not know what to do.
“I-” he stuttered. “I want everyone to leave! A-And I want a car. When I’m outside the city I’ll let her go.”
“That’s impossible, Jaemin. Let the girl go, and I promise you you won’t be hurt.”
“... I don’t want to die…” Jaemin began to cry, his voice becoming softer.
“You’re not going to die,” Mark assured. “We’re just going to talk. Nothing will happen to you.” Mark stops before uttering his next phrase with utter seriousness. “You have my word.”
Everyone held their breath. The silence is long and infuriating. You felt Donghyuck radiate heat from your side. You can only imagine you weren’t far from doing the same thing.
“... okay,” Jaemin was still crying. “I trust you.” He slowly let the girl down, still holding his gun but not pointing it at anyone. She shook, running only a few feet away from the edge before collapsing onto the ground. There was another moment where Mark and Jaemin looked at eachother. Unfortunately, everyone on your side, including Mark, knew what was about to happen.
A louder shot rang out from one of the snipers, and Kiara screamed. A large gaping hole appeared in Jaemin’s side, the force of the shot causing him to stumble around. Not a second later, another shot went off, right into his chest this time. It’s followed by a third. Jaemin wavers, falling to his knees. With three different shimmering blue gashes across his body, he struggles before looking back up into Mark’s eyes.
“You lied to me, Mark.” He tries to say it once more, before his voice fails and he shuts down.
You don’t move and neither does Donghyuck. You can’t believe what just happened. That had to be the most intense moment of your career and you hadn’t even started. Donghyuck was probably on the same boat. Taeil was the first one to move, coming onto the balcony and walking past Mark. Mark just turned away and walked back into the flat.
You see his face, completely and utterly stoic. Even Taeil looked back, though his face doesn’t show it you know he’s as stunned as the rest of you that just saw everything that took place. And how this android that just appeared so empathetic, compassionate, and kind enough to save an officer’s life just walked away like it was another task completed. It reminded all of you that this wasn’t a human. It was just an android.
If you couldn’t be more awe-stricken and terrified, Mark’s eyes flicker to yours so fast you hardly know if it was just your imagination. But that is all he does as he leaves just as casually as he entered.
“Jesus Christ,” Donghyuck can’t bring himself to get up, now resorting to sitting on the floor. “I really don’t like him now.”
For once, you would have to throw the towel in. Mark was utterly terrifying.

Thank you all for sending in Munday asks! As usual, they have all now been deleted and placed under the cut here for blog cleanliness purposes.
Even though she is technically a “Poképasta” character herself, Leaf is still very much a canon character at heart, so she’d probably be very freaked out by all the blood and murder if I’m honest!
I think the only one she’d really get along with is Skye – mostly due to the fact that she’s a real human spirit taking the form of a Pokémon.
I actually drew the two interacting over on my deviantART!
Skye would probably be so caught up in feeling sorry for Leaf that she’d forget about her own issues for a moment, while Leaf would dismiss her own problems to focus on Skye, who is a real person who is so, so much more important.
Leaf really does love all her players, and Skye, who was a Pokémon fan, was one of them.
On this blog? Probably not!
Sorry, I prefer this story to be relatively self-contained. While Fallen Leaf is technically considered a “Poképasta”, it’s also a story that could be considered dubiously canon, as long as you are willing to believe it is. Introducing outside Poképastas shatters that immersion, I believe.
Which is - ahaha – the reason I often avoid questions referencing other Pokepastas. I have gotten several questions asking for Leaf’s opinion on other different pastas, but they’re usually just not relevant to her or her situation.
Ideally- and I say ideally and not plausibly - I want the world I knew as a child back. I want Leaf’s world back.
I am not satisfied with her simply existing as a third wheel to Red and Blue as she does in Pokémon Masters. That is not the Leaf I used to know.
I want the world where Leaf was Blue’s childhood friend and rival. I want the world where Leaf singlehandedly disbanded Team Rocket. I want the world where Leaf became the Champion.
Because that’s who Leaf as a character was to me.
I do not care how they implement this concept. Whether it be via the player’s own gender that decides whether Leaf or Red is the hero of Kanto or some other factor, it doesn’t matter to me.
I just want the hero of Kanto to be a girl again.
I have no plans for any sort of “official” ending for this blog.
I feel like any sort of “happy ending” would feel forced and fake, but there doesn’t seem to be any other sort of “ending” I could do without just enforcing the status quo you already know, once and for all…
As I have said before, this blog has no story, because Leaf’s story has already ended. Meaning, I can stop updating this blog at any time and it would not feel forced to me.
It also means I can come back to it at any time, should I find a need to.
I apologize if that is a disappointing answer.
I know that this blog has given people a lot of time to become attached to Leaf and hope for some form of closure for her, but until that closure comes in real life, I cannot end this blog in a satisfying way.
And truthfully, I think it’s better that way.
Getting a goodbye from Leaf implies an official “ending” to this blog… Which, as I just said, I do not intend on doing.
The blog will end on whatever the last post I intend to draw is. Sorry…!
As Leaf herself once said…
You can’t bring back those lost in the past.
Even if they made a new game where the world is Leaf’s again, that does not erase the fact that there were countless worlds that belonged to Leaf that were stolen by soulless Reds.
If you were to go back and play HGSS, you would still see that same Red who killed your Leaf.
So, Fallen Leaf and Red would still remain…
But the next Leaf would be able to be there for the girls that loved, needed, and missed her.
Ah! Time for an interesting fun fact: scrapped content!
See, I actually did initially have an alternate design for the Fallen Red design-
Seeing as Fallen Leaf’s colors were based on the glitch Pokémon ♀ ., I thought that might not be suitable for Fallen Red.

Fallen Red’s design was initially based on the Missingno. of the Gen IV games- “Invisible shiny Bulbasaur” as some people call it.
The design was cut for two reasons - 1) The game considers Red and Leaf to be the same entity due to them inhabiting the same place in memory. A hack that affects Red will affect Leaf, and vice versa. Therefore, it made more sense for their appearance to be the same when “Fallen”.
2) The “Red Chain” pun would be lost in translation. I wouldn’t be able to justify Fallen Red using the Red Chain on Leaf if he wasn’t… you know, red.
The reason I started developing Fallen Leaf was actually just my desire to make a Poképasta that was centered around a Trainer for once, as most of my old stories had a Pokémon as its main character.
I chose Leaf for a number of reasons- the biggest being that after all this time, she never had a Poképasta of her own.
Red had stories like Glitchy Red/False Red, Blue had Blue Tears, Gold had Lost Silver and Silver had Tarnished Gold.
Leaf didn’t really have that.
She appeared in Abandon Lonliness, but she was just caught up in Blue’s story, Lonliness’s story. She was constantly manipulated and strung around by the ghosts that haunted Blue and Lonliness, and then she died for it. She never really had any agency in that story, and I don’t really like that much.
That’s why I wrote Fallen Leaf, a story that was really hers.
I never really considered any other characters for a similar story. Rather, I think this kind of story could only be done with Leaf.
And I immediately knew what I wanted for her right away. In my mind, I had already decided, “What if there was a story where Leaf was angry about her erasure from canon?”
But there were some other ideas never made it into the final story. Initially, Fallen Leaf’s events were just a really elaborate Action Replay code, but I eventually decided that the “hacked game” trope was more plausible, and more in line with the classic Trainerpastas like the aforementioned Glitchy Red, Blue Tears, Lost Silver, etc.
Yep, pretty much!
I took this asset of the Snow Mail from HGSS, and just squashed and stretched it to whatever size I needed. I have it in a few different sizes depending on the length of the question.
I would absolutely be all for it!

Dislikes: Chaos, Insincere People, Her strict father King Raidos (Gyarados)**she still loves her father despite his strict personality, Lightning and Electric Base attacks, Her powerful gifted and strong but yet very fragile feet **She’s at her most despair when she feels this very severe pain.

When I was redesigning her I had to base her on Azura from Fire Emblem alot (since both are from Nintendo) and believe me designing her on my imaginative creative scope is very hard that I had to add additional details around.

and in a class she maybe base on princesses that are born in the hierarchy near the surfaces body of water, much like the legendary Atlanteans.
Below are some of her early redesign sketches *** her personality is largely based three characters **including a 4th one maybe... Ah My Goddess- Belldandy, Lacus Clyne from Gundam Seed and Euphemia Li Britannia from Code Geass. the 4th one actually your stereotype Princesses of the Seas....
Overall she has a very gentle, warm, kind hearted and impartial loving attitude **even those who are wicked, she still shows kindness unless she’s harm she can without hesitate to attack her enemies when there’s no other options left. and without hesitation will always show courtesy **said to be gotten from her mother when she was young .
Describe by many as incredibly beautiful among many **including outsiders like Raid and Naiya. she is often the center of attraction among her kingdom, admiring even by her rivals and admirers for calling her bare body legendarily voluptuous from head to toe. And with a beautiful and non-benevolent personality she has, she is said to be very approachable in all ways around that she is very caring and open to all, regardless of whoever she faces.
Besides that she’s also a pacifist, she values the lives and happiness of the people around her much more than her own, and always desires to make everybody happy no matter what the cost is to herself. **even sparing her foes on dire situations. While many see this part of her personality as being one of her more endearing qualities, it has also driven her to disregard her own feelings, thus making it difficult for her to voice her own thoughts when she believes it would cause strife for other people. As a result of this, she is easily upset and incredibly fragile when experiencing negative emotions. and with her position as a Princess of her Kingdom, she is willingly never hesitate to show charisma, strong will and determination in order for her to lead example for the sake of King Rydus (her father)’s people.
As much as her story goes besides the Kingdom around her and her strict father, She happens to be a priestess of her own, inherited from her mother. She vows herself to be always take courage and be kind no matter the cause as taught by her mother.
One day, while she was performing tradition priestess practices on her in a temple somewhere beneath their kingdom alone with her subordinates, she stumbles upon two lost human teenagers (at the age of 13, 14 or 15) who appear to be not from this world (maybe from another fantasy dimension based on their appearance). The guards never hesitate to take the two unworldly kids with them for the two are being mistaken as intruders to their kingdom but with Melody being compassionate of the two young warriors bids to her father’s wishes to spare them and understand their curent situation and to be part of their kingdom as a citizen in the meantime. In good results, she manages to free the two from capital punishment and imprison and thus making the two to be part of their kingdom as low rank civilians. Because of how humane the two show themselves in front of Melody and her kingdom, she easily became friends with the two and vows to the two to seek for an adventure to send them back to their own worlds.
**Those two kids are named Raid (male) and Naiya (female) I’ll introduce them soon should I find time on this.
As much as her concept goes, she’s willing to go for a battle when she’s left with no other options but to fight and defend. With her skillsets mentioned aboved she’s that of a keep away fighter who sometimes will use projectiles to blast foes away and shiver them with her water skills, she can also heal herself (Recover) and heal herself more with her wand equipped and on the other hand, if she’s then struggling with foes who go close on her, she is very luckily skillful at combat, and once she find a worthy opponent as or more powerful than she is on her current state, she will eventually show her hidden powerful trump card skills not often shown to the public eye, the strength and skills within her beautiful, graceful and powerful feet and legs (AQUA TAIL)
**Princess Melody performing Aqua Kick (Aqua Tail)*Dive Kick
she can also throw kicks at the same time cast water splashes that damages multiple foes around (This is the Pokemon move Surf), With her Surf+Aqua Tail Kick combination along side her polynesian taekwondo skills, she can perform a wide range of powerful kicks to sway foes away and the strength on the soles of her feet alone are capable of destroying granite and limestones at her fullest potential, even knocking out foes in one hit at their toughest moments.
This is thanks to her gifted ability of the “Mythical Birth Mark” fragments she received on birth located on the two soles of her feet. Princess Melody calls this her own blessing and a curse, on the saddest drawback though when you received a mark like this, it’s also going to be your shared weakness as well. She is easily crippled should her legs, especially where her “Mythical Birth Mark” is located, sustain enough injuries she can faint with just one heavy damage direct towards her weakest yet very strongest feat and will be over for her should she gets careless herself on the battlefield. At one point, one electric human pokemon struck a THUNDER move directly towards the ground, and with the surface being too wet all in all and with both her feet planted on the ground, it directly struck her towards the mark knocking her out badly in just one move. This is where she easily shifts her attitude on dire situations to cry easily whenever she feels lost and despaired.

Also with her staff around, this is given by her Mother, an ancient artifact staff that allows her to access more into the power of water (like TMs/HMs) and increases her STABS on certain heights and being able to bend ease with surrounding water and gaining aquatic energies. This staff however is inherited on the priestess practices of her mother (who is also a Milotic) which is traditionally used for cultural and spiritual ceremonies.

That’s all I can say and introduce on this attractive princess for now. Also the fishes she owns on her kingdom around her are very known to get allure from her and often kiss the soles of her feet for they also not admire her attractive body but more of her personality.
Later in the series early on, Raid gets separated from Naiya and Melody and thus the two search for him eventually meeting Blare, Aedris and Aeshi Company thus making allies and friend among the adventurers.

August’s Featured Game: Marinette
DEVELOPER(S): Teal Crown ENGINE: RPG Maker MV GENRE: Horror, Puzzle, Adventure WARNINGS: Sensitive Themes, Blood/Light Gore SUMMARY: A little girl named Marinette, in the wake of a splitting family and a change of homes, is having a birthday. But this, her eleventh birthday, will present a deadly opportunity to fulfill a special promise. On the night before her birthday, she is drawn into a strange realm; an unnatural dollhouse, populated with dolls who are not quite what they seem. A web of strings lying in wait, and threatening to ensnare the poor marionette; warping her perception, and twisting her every move. Will the strings attach, and force her to become an unwilling puppet, or will she escape this surreal web of strings? What will she have to do to avoid the dangers of the dollhouse, and set herself free?
Our Interview With The Dev Team Below The Cut!
Introduce yourself! *Mitty: "Hello, I'm Mitty! Thank you so much for the opportunity to participate in this interview. I'm the main developer of the game and I'm working with a team of friends to make this game a reality. I work mainly on the visuals and programming, and I'll be representing the team, alongside Third! I've been on the community for around two years, even though I tend to not be active very often." *Third: "Hoi, I’m Third! I appreciate you reaching out to interview us. I’m the main composer and writer of Marinette, and I work under Mitty to make the story and soundtrack what we want it to be. I’ve been in the community for little less than Mitt but am even less active in most of my developer discords."
What is your project about? What inspired you to create this game initially? *Mitty: "The game is essentially about a girl that gets trapped inside a dollhouse. A simple concept really can go far ahaha I've always loved themes related to creepy dolls so I wanted to create something related to that. What pushed me initially to start were obviously the inspiration of seeing other devs creating, seeing how far you could go with these engines and create amazing interactive stories, however the huge support from a friend was what made me actually start past the planning and dreaming!" *Third: "Marinette is a story about a little girl becoming entangled in the complicated family and supernatural landscape she finds herself in on her birthday. I enjoy writing short stories about this kind of thing so it’s fantastic to work on a larger project about one of my favorite subjects. My primary inspiration and introduction to this kind of game in general was Pocket Mirror, and I use it the most as a model for how to do certain things. However, I also draw a lot of inspiration from masterpieces like Aria’s Story, Ib, Witch’s House, and Alice Mare."
How long have you been working on your project? *Mitty: "The project has been in the works for around two years now! The first year was mostly planning and right now we are on the right track with the programming and asset creation for the demo, as well as music and sound design for later development. Planning isn't over yet though, especially for the final game." *Third: "I’ve been working on this for almost two years. The soundtrack possessed most of my earlier attention, but now it’s taken a backseat to writing, now that I’m actively writing the scripts for the game now. "
Did any other games or media influence aspects of your project? *Mitty: "Yes! The game has inspirations from plenty of sources, not only strictly RPG Maker Horror games, or games in general for that matter. If I were to mention those, of course games like Ib, The witch's house, Alice Mare, Pocket Mirror, Yume Nikki & .flow, Stray Cat Crossing, Mogeko's games...etc quickly come to mind. When it comes to the aesthetics and visuals, the inspirations come from several different places, including games like Alice Madness Returns, Dofus, Yomawari, The Legend of Mana, Little Nightmares...the list goes on; or other media, like Inu Curry's animation style or video creator nana825763, as well as some anime and music videos. Silent hill is also a huge inspiration for the atmosphere, and hopefully we can pull it off well!" *Third: "My primary inspiration, as I’ve said earlier, is Pocket Mirror, both for its masterful writing and soundtrack. The game’s soundtrack is the main reason I still play piano. Whenever I’m feeling musical, my fingers always hunt out the same kind of haunting, mysterious, and sometimes peaceful and playful melodies that Pocket Mirror is rife with. In the end, our soundtrack is probably going to sound like Pocket Mirror and Aria’s Story’s soundtracks were meshed together. Story wise, commonplace elements in this genre like demons, monsters, mean parents and puzzles that tell the story are commonplace for a reason, and certainly find their way into this one, in their own special way. Every other game I’ve mentioned involves them in some form or another. And young, curious protagonists are also a blast to write and do evil things to and put in difficult, dangerous situations. "
Have you come across any challenges during development? How have you overcome or worked around them? *Mitty: "We surely have! Many of them in different areas ahaha Taking away bug hunting, I am primarily an artist, so programming for me is a secondary thing. Because of this it's easy to get carried away and hard to realise what can and can't be done. I don't want the game to be visually boring if I can make things move and seem alive! The way I'm handling it is programming like an artist: I think in my head what cool things I can do with my art by not having it completely still, and then it's a matter of executing it on the engine. However this comes with a downside. I tend to tweak things a lot, and that takes quite some time, but I honestly think it's worth it ahaha Also I find it hard to start writing, but when I do, I can't stop orz. Other challenges are also finding plot holes. This is fixed with a lot of studying the story, gathering inspiration and talking with the team. I also struggle a bit with communicating with the team, but thankfully they are all very nice and understanding." *Third: "Main challenge is overcoming the sheer weight of how much I have to learn about music and writing in order for this game to be what I want it to be. I’m a perfectionist, and when I care about something, I can’t tolerate it being worse than it could’ve been. Also, writing is getting more and more complicated and there’s more things and details to keep track of so as not to create inconsistencies or plot holes, especially as we try to revise it and make major changes to the story (Mitt will know what I’m talking about). "
Have any aspects of your project changed over time? How does your current project differ from your initial concept? *Mitty: "It changed a lot, not only in terms of the story and writing, but visually too. The basic concept is close to being the same, though. You can check out old posts in the blog where I consider different styles of mapping and such. Actually, don't, please. It's too old...and my writing...oh god." *Third: "The writing has come a long way, but now that we’ve fleshed out and written down much of the backstory, it’s a much more complicated story than what Mitt first showed me when I joined."
What was your team like at the beginning? How did people join the team? If you don’t have a team, do you wish you had one or do you prefer working alone? *Mitty: "Initially it was just me, occasionally having Mia to talk about the story and help develop it. Rindre joined as a voice actress very early on and also helped in other aspects of the game. Then I also talked about it with two friends I know in real life, one helped with organization and the other with some concept art, but they aren't that active anymore, even though I still count them as part of the team (Thank you guys btw if you're reading this). Eventually I met Third, an amazing composer and writer, and I asked him to join in! He brought along a friend who is also an amazing composer and writer, Code, and these two are complete madmen of music and writing and I'm super glad to be working with them, as they are super passionate and it makes me really happy ahaha. Bruno is also a really dedicated composer that is helping with a few tracks as well! Miku and Luccinia are two super talented and kind artists that have also been helping a ton with concept art, and their ideas have certainly improved the game as well. We are welcome to more concept artists, though! More heads, more ideas ahaha Recently we got the voice actresses for a few characters in the game, when we did the auditions, and hopefully soon another friend will jump aboard and help with organization and writing! We are a relatively small team, and sometimes progress goes a bit slowly since we can get busy, but we are all doing our best! I’m glad that I’m not alone. Links for their pages and such can be found on the team section on the blog, go support them if you can!"
What is the best part of developing a game? *Mitty: "For me, personally, I love seeing what my team mates come up with, whether it is music or concept art. I also enjoy the love and support we get, and it makes me excited in the development. As for the creation part, I like programming challenging cutscenes and doing cool things with the assets. Progress updates can also be fun to make when I have the time." *Third: "My favorite part is showing Mitt what I’ve written and composed. Making her happy and excited with my work is extremely fulfilling. "
Do you find yourself playing other RPG Maker games to see what you can do with the engine, or do you prefer to do your own thing? *Mitty: "Oh, yes! Besides being a cool break from programming hell, it helps me make it less of a hell ahaha I like improvising, though, so I think I play RPG Maker games because I enjoy them for the most part." *Third: "Occasionally, not really. I don’t play many games and I’ve played the heck out of the ones I have."
Which character in your game do you relate to the most and why? (Alternatively: Who is your favorite character and why?) *Mitty: "Ah I don't know, honestly. I think I can relate to every character in one way or another, and it's hard picking one, especially since the game isn't out yet and I'd like to keep most characters hidden until the demo. Marinette is definitely one of my favourites, though, I just love how innocent and cute she is. Her cheekiness can be made super interesting ahaha" *Third: "My favorite character is definitely Pierre. He’s a complete blast to write, and gives me lots of cool things to describe and say through him, from his magic tricks to his killer lines and quotes."
Looking back now, is there anything that regret/wish you had done differently? *Mitty: "Hm...Having organized things better in the beginning would have saved a lot of time now, but I don't think it's been that big of a deal anymore. I don't have any regrets that I'm aware of at the moment since everything until this point was necessary to learn and get to where we are now."
Do you plan to explore the game’s universe and characters further in subsequent projects, or leave it as-is? *Mitty: "I'm not sure yet, it depends on the reception and how willing I'll be to continue the story. Even though I would find it fun to make comics, another game or a different midia, realistically I can't tell how willing I'll be to continue developing content about it after the game is finished. Honestly, I hope I can develop more projects on Marinette, we do have content for that, and I absolutely love it with my heart! But it's also equally important to move on to another story. Only time will tell!" Third: "I hope to, but that day is very far away for me. I’ll be gone for quite some time after Marinette is finished, and I hope I’m not forgotten by the time I return. Perhaps I’ll entertain myself with additional short stories exploring the various aftermaths of the game."
What do you most look forward to upon/after the release of a project? *Mitty: "I honestly just want to get the story out there. I'm hoping people will enjoy it if they play the game, and will have a special place in their hearts to keep it on. This project means a lot to me, and having it making people feel things is what I'm looking forward to. I'd love to see other people playing it, definitely. I imagine I'll eventually be relieved to have finally completed it, it'll be a big moment for me to sigh be proud of creating. I'll be able to move on to work on other fun things while I see how this little child of a game is going to do out there in the wild, and that's always nice!" *Third: "Fan reaction, 100%. Having people ask me questions about my work and telling me how much they enjoyed it is my favorite part of writing."
Is there something you’re afraid of concerning the development or the release of your game? *Mitty: "Yes, I don't want to feel empty with nothing to do when I finish the game. I know it will be great and all, but I've been working on it for so long that it's hard to imagine not working on it ahaha! It's a really fun hobby, but it's also engraved in my heart. I want it to be the best it can be, of course, so I'm scared of bugs, inconsistencies and overall it being clearly a bad game. I'm hoping that people will help with critiques on the demo, so I have a better outside perspective of where we are going. I don't want to drop the game, so I'm scared of having to take a long break from it during the development. I'm worried of being a terrible team leader as well." *Third: "I dread plot holes more than anything, and I dread a dull and overall unimpactful story. I want a tale that will punch the viewer in the gut, hard. I want to make them cry. I want to make them laugh. I want them to draw what I wrote, and explore it further in hopefully-not-too-sexual fanfiction."
Do you have any advice for upcoming devs? *Mitty: "Don't be scared to start. You're going to suffer mid-way if it's a long term project, but keep pushing through, you'll learn a lot and it becomes easier with time. Take breaks and take it easy, step by step. LIST STUFF AND MAKE BACKUPS. Learn with short projects first. Ask for advice from people you admire, but never hold them on a pedestal. It’s always helpful to be a jack of all trades! Try to think from an outsider perspective if you're not sure of how it's going, and if you can, tell people you trust about the game and ask for opinions. Always take criticism well, but don't stress too much over harsher or even meaner comments. Have fun and never forget your starts, the people you meet and the reason you're doing the project for. If you're also an artist, writer, musician, remember this is a great opportunity to add something interesting to your portfolio. Cool visuals attract people, but they are not everything that will keep them hooked." *Third: "The best part of making a game is the people you make it with. The story is the most important ingredient of your game. Prioritize it first, and everything else will fall into place around it. Otherwise, everything will serve some other aspect of your game, and that’s rarely a good thing. Always speak your mind; do not every not say something just because it’ll hurt someone’s feelings. Obviously don’t be a tool, but if you ever have to choose between hurting the game and someone’s pride, pick someone’s pride. It’s much kinder in the long run."
Question from last month's featured dev Froach Club: Have you ever had a moment where you got completely stuck or became intensely frustrated while using RPG Maker? *Mitty: "Yes I have, I think everyone has QwQ Despite silly mistakes, I've gotten stuck several times, but honestly it's usually either us doing something stupidly hard that can be done another way, or we are just not skilled enough yet, and it's better to come back later. You can usually do most things you wanna do if you have the advantage of knowing the programming language your RPG Maker Engine uses I think. Google is your friend always, and sleeping about it also helps. I once dreamt of a whole sequence to fix a problem, and it worked! ahaha Always take it easy and don't give up, but know your limits and the limits of the engine!"

Hi! You can call me Jack or Cel, both are good. I dont have a preference. I use they/he pronouns. Im Panromantic Asexual.

Im a writer
I mostly rp, but may occasionally do a short story
I do a lot of character bios and lore drops
Character creation and development is my favorite thing to do
Im pretty open with genres, but my favorites are fantasy, horror, and sci-fi
Im also an artist
I mostly do sketches of my characters, my friends characters, and characters i like from fandoms
I do both traditional and digital, but i have a preference for traditional
I play lots of video games too!

When you need a post for January, that isn’t a scant picture of a moon goddess. Even if you really like that work. At least Tumblr didn’t take down my art.... Don’t want the internet to think I have a preference for drawing cute female characters, when those are just the character designs I feel like drawing lately.....
Demographics don’t lie, I have an even gender ratio in my writing; I spent three hours testing it. I do character demographics to make sure I have good inclusiveness. As someone with OCD, Microsoft Excel is actually a meditation tool.
Long story, much short: what I post online is only 1/5th of what I actually draw and write. Partially from depression and disabilities, and partially because of art block and lack of time.
Speaking of which; Lahahee is as old as this blog, and I have no idea why I drew her... Probably because I wanted to do an updated character concept, then liked the idea of drawing something pink.
Again, a lot of 2020 was dedicated to my short story book blog; so not as much time devoted to Molamola art and sketches I reserve for this blog.
Now that my writing has improved, how about one of those nice short stories no one reads? I am after all, an illustrator and concept designer.

Lahahee wanted to be an explorer. She wanted to see all of Mola’mola, and recount her adventures to anyone she met. Lahahee wanted to be like Zin’taq, who was a famous explorer of the same nationality and race: Slnk D’em and Ven’itereea. She grew up on the outskirts of the crystal city within a mountain, Kortln, and though Ven’itereea has a lot to see, and may be considered exotic, it was not big enough. Mola’mola wasn’t big enough. She wanted to see more.
Lahahee ended up in Ederinson; in a collage dorm wit other students in their third ages trying to sort out life, and gain valuable experience in a new dimension. Ederinson was in the Ee’or Mol’a; where the souls reincarnate from. That is how the gods found a way to travel here, without death and amnesia. But Lahahee wasn’t exploring sights here, as she found herself exploring knowledge. the kind that comes form books, and not roads.
Lahaee took classes to help her in her field as a nomad: outdoors skills, languages, casting magic ect. And she shared most classes with her Mola’mola peers. In friendship, Lahahee observed them ad their cultures with curiosity. She was getting a feel for what she might see on her ventures in Mola’mola. But the most intriguing thing Lahahee found, was not from another realm or nation, but a boy who grew up in her neck of the woods.
Jakom No’sai’sa’oon, came to Ederinson to be a better warrior to work in law enforcement. He wanted to be a hero like his father, who died saving him from assault as a boy. Jakom was missing his wings; which was only noticeable to Lahahee, because she had seen Shjua D’em men before. However, by the time Jakom was halfway through a semester of combative and casting training, he realized he was a lover, and not a fighter. Taking advantage of the resources at the inter-realm institution, Jakom decided he wanted to be an ethical gentleman of the night. The licenses were incredibly strict in Ven’itereea; or anywhere in Mola’mola for that matter. The industry was more regulated then food services. People didn’t do that work out of desperation in Mola’mola, they did it out of passion for entertaining.
Lahahee liked Jakom. Thye spent time together often, sharing heritage and all. Jakom began to return her affections, but didn't get far. If it wasn’t for his career choice, Lahahee would have taken his hand on the spot. Which was about to become her greatest regret. She couldn’t be with someone she loved, if she knew they would be performing for someone else; even if it wasn’t the same. People are not who they are on stage, even if they love it. But Lahahee was slow to realize that.
When everyone went back to Mola’mola, as the pek nee’ei revolution began, Lahahee got to travel Molamola. However it wasn’t what she imagined. It was beautiful and full of wonder, but it was also lonely. After five years alone, she went to the Pek Sigrin, a Kranix dinner theater, where Jakom worked. She kept returning. Like her idol Zintaq, who kept returning for the Pek Sigrin’s owner Sa’oon tracker of souls, Lahahee kept coming back to watch Jakom dance, and make small talk. Jakom would see her, or be notified she was there, and would be her waiter every time. Months between reunions quickly turned into only days before they would meet again.
When the revolution was over, twenty years later, Lahahee had seen all she wanted of Mola’mola. She went back to her hometown of Kortlin Venitaree, with Jakom; her hnz soul mate. They had undergone a binding ceremony, realizing neither civil war, nor occupation, would keep them apart. With nothing to fear, Lahahee and Jakom returned home, to live with his mother, and had two young children with them. It took patience, and they may have started late, but they loved each other and their family. Settled down completely, Jacom wanted to start his own establishment. Lahahee wanted to see what would happen if she appreciated staying still with someone you love, instead of leaving to the next destination. Between them, Lahahee got the genuine feelings from backstage, and for her children got the stories of adventure she made to share.
