My birthday is on Valentine's Day, below is me rambling about how that makes me feel (spoiler, not great!)
It's hard to understand the people who like their birthday because its on a holiday, my birthday is on a holiday, Valentine's Day, and I hate it. Growing up it was miserably lonely once people got old enough to go on dates instead of being dropped off by their parents so they could go on dates. That first birthday where no one showed up his heartbreaking. And it didn't get better the second time and there was never a third.
Idk. Maybe I'm just bitter... I also feel kind of bad for my boyfriend, this will be the first Valentine's Day we're together as a couple and he won't get to have a normal Valentine's Day with his partner because I'm his partner and that's my birthday. And I already know he doesn't care and he's just happy to be with me and he's already told me that because I already told him how I feel about it but it doesn't stop the fact that I feel bad that he's not going to be able to celebrate a normal Valentine's Day mostly because he doesn't want me to celebrate my birthday not on my birthday because he thinks it's messed up that I feel the need to celebrate it on a different day...
I can also never relate to like x reader fanfics were like the reader's birthday comes up because my birthday is never go the way they do in those fics. And I'm so sour about it that I usually don't want to celebrate it anymore. It usually just makes me sad...
I think the crooks of this ramble is my birthday makes me sad because it's Valentine's Day. And people rightfully put their partners above their friend or acquaintance or whatever. But I'm hoping this year I'm not as sad because I'll be with my boyfriend even though I'm probably going to feel a little guilty whole for something he bluntly told me he doesn't care too much about because spending time with me is the whole appeal of the holiday for him.
i’m a bit high
i’ve always felt like being born on the first of the month was a lil fun and fancy but then i began to wonder if that’s just how everyone feels about their birthday. so i made a poll about it.
#holiday birthday#valentine's day#tumblr polls#moss brings up their boyfriend again#have I brought him up on this app yet#I know I talk about him way too much IRL and anywhere I get to rambling for more than like a minute#the tictok comment sections I've been in I've been infected with me gushing over him#and just love my boyfriend and I want to give him the best#and I have to grapple with my internalized self-hate feeling like I am not the best I could give him#my birthday being Valentine's Day does not help with my internalized self-hatred#because if he was with somebody else he wouldn't have to miss out on any holidays even smaller intimate ones

Early seasons Spencer’s gf joining the team and quickly realizing just how used to Spencer she is bc the rest of the team’s reactions to him are so different from hers
Cinnamon Sticks - S.R
a/n: obsessed with the idea of baby spencie having a gf who just gets him while he's still an awkward, nerdy little genius! thanks for requesting bestie so sorry it took so long i am the worst LOL
masterlist
pairings: early!seasons!spencer reid x fem!reader
warnings: established relationship, secret relationship, relationship being exposed bc these two are just so in love
wc: 1.7k
Garcia burst into the bullpen like some sort of whirlwind that was painted in neon, her scarf fluttering behind her almost like a cape. She juggled a precariously full cup of coffee, while her phone teetered between ear and shoulder as if testing the limits of human dexterity.
"I swear to all that is holy, if my life doesn't slow down in the next five minutes--"
The sentence derailed as she misjudged her pace, the coffee sloshing dangerously close to the rim of the cup. She stopped abruptly, her arms a flurry of motion, but not quick enough to stop the scalding liquid from spilling over and searing her fingers.
"Oh, fantastic! Just what I needed!" she huffed, waving her hand like it might stop the sting.
She threw herself into the closest chair with a huff, slumping back and fixing the coffee cup with a murderous glare, like this was just another tally in a long line of grievances.
Your eyes darted up from your work, only for a moment, enough to confirm what you already knew. You hadn't been working here long, but it was long enough to recognize the phenomenon that was Garcia: a blur of motion and words, mid-rant before anyone had the chance to catch up. It was like clockwork really.
You risked a glance across the desk at Spencer, who was so absorbed in his notebook it was a wonder he even remembered to breathe. If Garcia's antics registered as white noise to anyone, it was him. But then, almost like he had a radar for being watched, he looked up, catching your gaze.
His eyebrows lifted into a subtle what can you do? expression, and you couldn't help but smile back.
That was the thing about Spencer. He had this uncanny knack for knowing exactly what you were thinking, almost as if he had a cheat sheet for your brain. And maybe he did--like his brain worked three times faster than everyone else's in the room (which, let's face it, it definitely did). But instead of that being intimidating, it was oddly reassuring.
"At this rate, I'm one bad email away from alphabetizing my entire pantry for stress relief."
Spencer's notebook hit the desk, and there it was--the shift. His shoulders drew back, face lighting up--the kind of thing that signaled his mini-lecture was incoming.
"Organizing your pantry is actually a practical stress management technique. By categorizing items, you create a structured environment that reduces decision fatigue. Its why people feel calmer in tidy spaces, it's psychological."
Morgan held up a hand. "Psychological, huh? Sounds like you’re just trying to justify your weird love affair with labels, pretty boy.”
“Don’t forget,” you added absently, flipping a page in your report, “it also saves time when you’re cooking. I think you called it practical efficiency."
The words slipped out without much thought, but as soon as they did, the bullpen stilled. You glanced up, heart sinking as you saw every face turned in your direction.
Morgan’s grin was the first thing you notice--wide and knowing, stretching across his face. He tilted his head, eyes bouncing between you and Spencer like he was putting pieces together in real time.
“Wait a minute,” he said, sitting forward with a gleam in his eye. “Did you just quote him? Like, word for word?”
Your cheeks heated instantly. “What? No. I mean—maybe. I don’t know.”
“Pretty sure you did,” Morgan shot back, smirking. “Man, what else has he been teaching you? You got the periodic table memorized too?”
You rolled your eyes, leaning back in your chair. “Oh, please. If you’ve been around Spencer long enough, you’re bound to pick up a few things. He’s like a walking encyclopedia.”
“Well,” Spencer said, his head tilting slightly as he spoke, “your cinnamon sticks always end up at the back of your pantry. That’s why I figured you might appreciate the idea of organizing by use frequency. Like I said, practical efficiency.”
The moment the words left his mouth, you knew he’d made a tactical error.
Garcia gasped, her eyes lighting up like she’d just been handed the juiciest piece of gossip of her life.
“Oh. My. God. Spencer Reid, how exactly do you know what the back of her pantry looks like?”
You froze, rooted to the spot as the realization hit you like a cartoon anvil. This was bad.
Spencer’s expression mirrored yours for half a second—wide-eyed panic—but he quickly scrambled for an answer.
“It’s, um… a logical assumption,” he stammered, his fingers toying with the pen in his hand, a nervous tell he couldn’t quite suppress. “Spices like cinnamon sticks always seem to migrate to the back of the pantry unless there’s an intentional system in place.”
Morgan let out a long, low whistle, rocking back in his chair with enough force to make it creak. His grin was insufferably smug, the kind that practically begged for something to be thrown at him.
“Nice save. But I don’t think Garcia’s buying it.”
Garcia tapped her chin, clearly enjoying herself far too much. “Oh, no, no, no. This is too good. I mean, logical assumption my fabulous behind! Cinnamon sticks in the back of her pantry? Really? What’s next? A detailed analysis of how she stacks her cereal boxes?”
You laughed, though it sounded more like a bark than anything natural. “You’re all reading way too much into this. Spencer just knows weirdly specific things about, well, everything. That’s kind of his thing, remember?”
“Mmhmm,” Garcia hummed, clearly unconvinced. “Alright, genius, I’ll let it slide this time. But I’m watching you.”
“Please don’t,” Spencer muttered under his breath, earning a round of laughter from the team.
Garcia spent a solid ten minutes in full interrogation mode after that, her eyes narrowing with each and every pointed question she lobbed your way. Morgan, of course, was no help. He leaned back, grinning like a kid with a front-row seat to the circus, his smirk practically screaming that he knew they were this close to striking a nerve.
Spencer and you had been so careful. You'd been dating long before you joined the BAU, but the moment Hotch had called to offer you the position, you both knew you'd have to keep things under wraps. Dating a coworker was one thing; dating Spencer Reid, a genius with an accidentally too-honest mouth, was an entirely different challenge.
You hadn't expected it to be this hard, though. Keeping the secret wasn't the worst part--it was pretending he wasn't the center of your universe every time you walked into the room. It was keeping your hands to yourself when all you wanted to do was smooth out the messy strands of hair that always fell into his eyes. It was biting your tongue when someone interrupted his long-winded tangents because the truth was, you loved hearing him talk.
The hours stretched on, and the bullpen slowly thinned out. Garcia was the first to leave, blowing a kiss to the room. Morgan left soon after, pausing to flash you one last grin before disappearing. Even Prentiss packed up for the night, muttering something about needed an extra shot of espresso tomorrow morning.
"You handled that well."
You looked up from your report to find Spencer by your desk, one hand tucked into his pocket, the other skimming lightly along the edge of the divider. His expression was surprisingly soft, almost bashful, as though he had been waiting to get you alone.
"Handled that well?" you repeated, raising an eyebrow. "You were the one who almost blew it, Spencer. Cinnamon sticks? Really?"
He smiled, lips twitching upward as he shifted his weight from one foot to the other. "Okay, I'll admit that wasn't my most subtle moment. But in my defense, they do end up at the back of most pantries."
You couldn't help but laugh, shaking your head as you leaned back in your chair.
"We're lucky Garcia got distracted. If she'd pushed any harder..." Your voice drifted into a soft sigh. "That could've been bad."
"That was a close one."
The quiet that followed wasn't uncomfortable, but it felt a little more substantial, if that was the word, filled with that soft ache that always bloomed in your chest when he was near.
Spencer stepped closer, his hand brushing against the edge of your desk. His body angled toward you, like even when you weren’t touching, he couldn’t help but gravitate toward you.
“You know,” he said, his voice softer now, “I don’t think she actually suspects anything. But we should probably be more careful.”
"Probably," you replied, drawing out the word in a teasing, sing-song tone. “Unless you’d rather keep showing off how ridiculously well you know me.”
His cheeks flushed a soft pink, but he didn’t look away. Instead, that shy, boyish smile—the one that always made you a little breathless—spread across his lips.
"That's going to be hard," he admitted, voice barely above a whisper. "I noticed a lot about you."
The words hit you like they always did--soft enough, but with the force of a thousand butterflies taking flight in your chest. You could feel the flush creeping up to your neck, and you mentally cursed him for how easily he was able to do this to you.
"You're lucky I like you."
His smile widened, and his eyes crinkled at the corners in that way they only came out at specific moments. Like when he successfully performed a card trick for the team or when he stumbled across an original copy of a book at a library sale.
The same one you'd seen when he talked about his mom on her good days, or when you asked him on a date.
You leaned forward. "And since I like you, any chance you'd want to kiss me right now?"
"How could I not, with you looking at me like that?"
The angle was clumsy--your chair too low, his frame leaning awkwardly over--but all of that melted away the second his hands found your face. His thumbs brushed soft circles against the place where your cheek met your jaw.
His lips were soft against yours at first, testing, before growing firmer, more sure. The kind of confidence that came with a hundred familiar kisses before.
Time seemed to slow, or at least for you it did, the rest of the world nonexistent.
The sound of a throat clearing broke the spell, and you jerked back from Spencer, your chair wobbling slightly as you turned toward the sound. You immediately regretted it--your lips felt swollen, your face hot, and there was Prentiss, leaning against the doorframe.
"We were... uh, testing something," you blurted, avidly avoiding eye contact. "You know, like... oxygen exchange! For scientific purposes."
Spencer blinked, then mumbled, "Oxygen exchange? That's the best you got?"
"Shut it," you hissed through gritted teeth, not daring to look at him.
Prentiss arched a brow. "Relax, lovebirds. If this is your idea of scientific research, I'll make sure Garcia doesn't find out. You're welcome."

sonadow fankid blast 💥 meet Breaker! his twin is up next 🕺
primarily takes after Sonic, taking over the day shift of watching Green Hills and the 'hero' mantle. beloved face. helps grandmas across the street. avid errand runner. has helpful big brother/camp counselor vibes!
🌖 At first I named him Breaker as a shorthand for 'daybreak' (his twin being named Dusk) and thought it was stupid (bc Sonic would name his kid something stupid) but the more i thought about it.. the more it worked.. windbreaker…. circuit breaker…a breaker being a heavy sea wave connecting to Sonic's fear of water..breaks/brakes… mm wordplay
very aloof! enjoys life. loves hiking. he loves anything with a good view. prefers to take it a day at a time, if given the choice. has a curiosity and interest in the powers and skills of others he's incredibly strong w/ powers including electricity + Chaos Control/time-space manipulation (and still wearing limiters)
he is extremely tactical with when and how he uses Chaos Control. With new opponents Breaker wouldn't use his Chaos Control, relying on speed and fistpower. If he did, he'd make it seem that he was just extremely fast getting places, using the shadows of his opponent and surrounding environment to slip between places
ever since he was a little, Breaker’s always come out on top. he’s always looked up to heroes, naturally- after all both their fathers were. and he’s settled into the role quite nicely, one of Green Hills’ very own, and just as beloved. all the townsfolk know him, all the women fawn over him, a true bonafide role model. But even his twin brother Dusk wonders/isn't sure if thats really what he wants or if its simply a role he’s acclimated to.
Breaker has a bit of an iceberg to his character. Most people see the very top layer, what they see day-to-day of the young aloof Mobian heralded as "Sonic and Shadow's son". there's something else that goes on beneath..
his powers essentially distort him from living the same wavelength as others. Like that moment in Sonic Prime where Sonic is going so fast, time has essentially stopped for everyone else. Tapping into this power has led him to believe he is invincible in ways, but not entirely. he enjoys all the scuffs, he enjoys what life has to throw him, his friends, etc. It keeps him grounded. as a result, he has a curiosity when he finally gets to dance with danger one-on-one like the average Mobian. he appreciates any opportunity to throw himself into dangerous situations because he enjoys the thrill of possibly getting hurt, as the pain allows him to feel 'mortal'.
One of his core principals is that he doesn’t want people hurt. He wants people safe. But sometimes it's unsure if thats the case or if its because he wants other people out of his way so he can set the stage between just him and his opponent.. and thus, minimize the collateral damage/cleanup.
He is rather tactical outside of battle too and does especially well in social settings. he already has the chops for it, being charismatic from the getgo, but he knows how to set people/things/his environment up in ways that would allow him to get to that final push for things to go his way without anyone being aware he had pulled any strings at all. he is incredibly observant, always picking up on the finer details. his hobby for people watching both comes in clutch as a both hobby he truly enjoys and something that could help him in future instances.
Whether Breaker wants to admit it or not, he cares about his image. Although his swagger is already quite effortless, he cares how the townsfolk perceive him, not just for the sake of vanity or narcissism but because he understands that people need an idol- they need guidance. That's what his dad was, and that's what he's for. It's what the stars were here for-- people had to look up somewhere for answers. He understands that he is something like a guiding light, a north star- but if they choose to refuse him, it's no skin off his back bc that’s their choice. He doesn't interfere with the choices people decide to make for themselves.
Breaker is a weird paradox character. where he's direct and very upfront, he is also so incredibly indirect about stuff too. Bro's always contradicting himself which makes it very hard for anyone to really pinpoint just what he's thinking beyond what they might know from the "hero" image he shows off.
Being good is a choice for him. But it's a choice he doesn't think about and something he's trained himself to wholeheartedly believe is instinct, as he doesn't believe himself to be a bad guy (and he isn't!) But it's like making a lie real and true.
Breaker, like his brother, has his own brand of isolation. Because of his powers, he lives on a different wavelength to other people. Always looking things through a window. He can look close enough to pretend the glass isn't there, that he's with there with everyone else, but there still exists that separation. So he chases after whatever makes him feel 'alive' and in the moment with everyone else.

Shut up i'm talking patreon only 7$!!!!!
The patreon podcast is out, and I have just finished listening to it!
I decided to write down some notes for those who are interested but do not have the patreon. It's a long one, but I picked out what I thought would be important + silly moments here n there
Podcast is recorded the morning of Dream's video (I'm sorry but not to Tommyinnit)
Tommy called his mom about the situation first, discussing about how it was awful (pre reddit post)
Harry wrote the "you can call me anything but do not call me poor" LOL
Tommy didn't watch the dream stream but read a synopsis, and he said that was enough
He's spoken to Dream privately several times (starting 2023), all his friends told him that dream was taking advantage of him, but he wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt
He has told dream to change how he acts, and dream has refused. Has had conversations like this multiple times.
Told dream in a conversation he was no longer speaking to him and was no longer talking to him after he talked to his mom. Was previously ignoring him but blocked him outright.
After his dream v quackity sketch dream sent him awful and mean messages.
Jack and Tommy are pissed off about people saying to "resolve it privately". They have tried multiple times to solve things privately, but Dream will take things public.
Jack had a 2 hour long call with dream on jack's DADS BIRTHDAY??? and it was about why he didn't like dream, and about dream's allegations.
the "Jack mentions Dream" account bothers Jack since its a bunch of indirect things, and him responding to messages rather than him just bringing Dream up.
Dream says Jack spreads rumors about him.
Jack does not think dream is a p*dophile, but he finds the situation(s) he was in wildly inappropriate.
Dream showed everyone his evidence against the grooming allegations in the DreamSMP discord. Jack said he told Dream it weirded him out, because either way, he was still messaging a fan, and it pissed Dream off.
Jack flat out calls Dream "stupid".
He's very pissed about the "unfaithful" rumor, and he's very vocal about it for a minute.
Jack reiterates the editor story with the 50 quid
They point out how the Dream ignores the George and Caiti situation, along with clipping Tubbo out of context.
"I can't believe he thought he could win by just lying. Especially when you've got a reputation of lying." -Jack (paraphrased/two different sentences put together)
Tommy says the video were for him, not everyone else. Makes a jab about Dream unable to use media literacy.
Tommy says Dream knows what he's talking about when he refers to misogyny. That there's so much more behind the scenes, that it's miserable.
Tommy says he doesn't want to do any of this anymore, that it's pointless. He says Youtube doesn't make him happy, that he doesn't fit in, and he wants to be done. He will still be posting to Youtube because he loves making videos, but he doesn't want to be part of the Youtube sphere/culture. He wants to be a proper comedian.
"I might as well go down sayin' what I fuckin' mean." -Tommy
brings up the "putting others down", Tommy reiterates how he's been very kind/warm to everyone, but if someone famous is being an asshole he's gonna make a joke about it. "That's what I've done with Logan, done to you, and what I'm going to continue to do."
Tommy calls him one of the most self indulgent and exhausting people he's ever met.
Brings up Dream calling him the internet police, he says that he's just sick of the bullshit. "When I see it, say it."
Tommy reiterates he can't do this much longer, that it's all pointless. Dream is just doing what he's been doing for years. He is not proud of dream and he doesn't respect him. Tells him straight to "Fuck off".
Tommy would talk to Jack, unsure if what was happening with Dream was odd/bad or not. He's a little relieved that it's in the public eye now.
Jack talks about how everyone on the server is talking against him, that no one is defending him. They've all known he's awful.
Tommy says he felt close to Dream, so he struggled with seeing the bad actions he had done. He felt skewed/manipulated.
Tommy tells a story about back when he was 14, he would annoy people in Hypixel by lobby spamming. One day he heads into a streamer's chat that he looked up to and said hello. the streamer, who was about 20 at the time, tore into him, calling him the R slur and many other horrible things. He said he felt heartbroken and shaken up. "Shit like this just happens along the way, and it's miserable, but like- for me, I just keep remindin' myself "this isn't the first time I've done this"."
Jack tried to make his disassociation as public as possible, he had told Dream to his face (during the allegations) in the DreamSMP discord that he did not want to be associated with him anymore.
Talks about how people still group DreamSMP members with Dream, and how they think every member is bad due to Dream's actions, and he's tired of it.
He doesn't like how public everything is, but he's glad people can finally see that they don't like Dream.
Tommy, from now on, is telling everyone how he feels. He's going to be blatant. (if that's what i understood from a comment he made)
Jack is still shocked that Dream chose that moment of all things to jump in. They have made comments here and there but Dream never said anything.
Jack talks about a part in his stream where he says something along the lines of "I'd understand this type of outburst if we had been bullying im for weeks and weeks. But we haven't been. Nor would that make it okay." And then someone on twitter said "Jack just admitted that they'd been bullying Dream non stop for weeks and he's proud of it!!!!" Jack says he can't believe people's ability to misinterpret.
Tommy saw Tubbo dissecting Dream's stream for 7 hours and knew that was the point it was becoming ridiculous.
Jack blatantly calls out how Dream uses manipulation tactics in how he speaks to the public. Tommy calls it painful for him to watch because it's what Dream had done to him and others in private.
Jack goes back to Dream's stream, talking about their phone call together, about how it was disingenuous and weird to bring up publicly. He says there are things he can't talk about publicly that formed his opinion.
"I just think he's like an impossibly self-indulgent, selfish man, who thinks everyone's on his own time." -Tommy
Jack thought Dream was purposefully being negligent in the way he would speak, and while he still is, he is seeing that a lot of it also comes from Dream not being able to pick up on social cues and norms. Though, he also reiterates that it doesn't excuse his awful behavior.
"I don't get how he can't listen to anyone else." -Tommy
Both of them have talked to Dream multiple times about how he acts and he never listens. Not even just them, they say "We all have really tried", which implies more members of the SMP or other personal friends.
"He doesn't seem to feel very much empathy for the pain he's caused, and if I was in his shoes- I don't know where his guilt is." -Tommy
They talk about his inability to apologize and how they can't understand it. Tommy gets a little heated. Dream has given them empty apologies and goes to do the same things again. They talk about how he doubles down over and over until no one sides with him, that's when he apologizes.
Jack calls Dream dismissive, and how its obvious that he doesn't care.
Tommy implores the audience to not imagine these dramas as Youtubers doing it, but to imagine their friends doing these things. Youtubers are not above others, there's no difference. The only difference is responsibility.
Jack points out how it's odd that they decide to post these things. It shows that they just double down on their awful actions.
Tommy ends by saying he doesn't want to continue this, but if there are things that need to be said then they will be, but on the Patreon.
Jack says he is done as well, that he's done with all his serious points, but he will be making jokes here and there. He won't be joking about rumors, but things that actually happened.
"Anyway, back to writing!" "Guys, let's all get back to coding."

Feeling in a mood today. Would you consider some angst with Bucky? You can ignore!
I feel like angst isn't my forte, nonnie, but I'll try?
Stood Up
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Female Reader
Summary: Bucky asks you out on a date and doesn't show.
Word Count: Almost 1.2k
Warnings: Angst, sadness, insecurities, embarrassment
A/N: This may get a Part 2. ❤️ Not beta read and written on my phone, so any and all mistakes are my own. Please follow @navybrat817-sideblog for new fics and notifications. Comments, reblogs, feedback are loved and appreciated!
You chose a simple black dress for your first date with Bucky. It wasn't too dressy or over the top, but still nice enough that you hoped it caught his attention. If the sight of you could put a soft smile on his face and warmth in his stunning blue eyes you'd consider it a win. Maybe he'd even tell you how beautiful you looked.
But your date was supposed to start almost an hour ago, and he still hadn't arrived.
You perked up when you looked toward the door, only to feel disappointed yet again when it wasn't Bucky who walked in. Checking your phone, you scrolled back through the messages. You had texted him earlier in the week to be on the safe side and he confirmed all of the needed date information; date, time, restaurant. You arrived at the right place at the right time on the right date. It was all you looked forward to this week.
You thought Bucky was looking forward to it as well since his last message was, “Can't wait to see you, doll.”
The sergeant looked almost nervous when he asked you to grab dinner with him. You were pretty sure he ran a hand through his hair three times before he got the question out. But the way his eyes lit up when you said yes, it was a look you’d never forget.
“It’s a date,” he had smiled, your heart fluttering. “Maybe we can go dancing after? Or we can dance in one of our apartments? Or we can play it by ear.”
“I’ll wear my best dancing shoes.”
You were trying to stay optimistic that he would show, but the knots in your stomach tightened when you realized he still hadn't replied to your follow up messages since you got to the restaurant. Did he have to take a last minute mission and couldn't let you know? Was he just running late? Or did he simply change his mind about the date?
“Where are you, Bucky?” you whispered, praying he wasn't hurt or worse.
The server cautiously approached your table once you set your phone down. “Is there anything I can get for you?” she asked.
“Oh, I’m fine,” you forcefully smiled, gesturing to the untouched glass of wine in front of you. “I’m still… waiting,” you added, your voice cracking on the last word.
A look of pity crossed the server’s face. Maybe you were imagining it, but you felt other eyes on you, too. You didn't want their sympathy or anything else for that matter. “Please let me know if you need anything.”
You managed a nod and nothing more, your eyes burning as you blankly stared at the menu. It didn't make sense. Bucky wasn't the kind of man to stand someone up. He wouldn't leave you in the middle of a restaurant by yourself without a good reason. Right?
Your hands shook when it went past the hour mark and you typed one more message to Bucky. “I’m still at the restaurant and worried since you aren't here. I hope you're okay.”
It took another fifteen minutes for it to finally sink in that Bucky wasn't coming. As much as you didn't want it to, it hurt. So much. Luck wasn't on your side when it came to relationships, but you thought this would be different because, well, Bucky was different. You should've known better though. You should've known him asking you on a date was too good to be true.
The server made eye contact with you across the room and quickly made her way over when you took out your wallet. “Oh, that glass is on the house. Unless there's anything else I can get for you?”
“Oh. Um. Thanks.” The gesture brought tears to your eyes, and you wished you could bury yourself in the ground then and there. “I don't need anything else, but I still owe you a tip for taking up the table for over an hour,” you said, leaving some cash on the table and giving her one last smile as you stood up on shaky legs. “Have a good night.”
“Ouch. Stood up. Been there before.”
“Oh, shit. I think she’s crying.”
“Poor thing. She was sitting down before we got here.”
The whispers from the patrons were practically screams in your ears as you left, and you had to steady yourself once you got outside. The cool air did nothing to soothe you, and wiping your cheeks didn't stop the tears from falling. Humiliation aside, your heart ached. Putting yourself out there wasn't easy, but this sort of rejection hurt more than a firm “no”.
Worry seeped in because you didn't want to believe Bucky would do this on purpose. What went wrong? Why didn't he show up? There had to be a reasonable explanation.
You dialed his number, your heart stopping when his voicemail popped up after a few seconds. “Hey, this is Bucky. Leave me a message.”
You cleared your throat to speak. “Hey. It’s me. I waited for you… at the restaurant, but I guess… I guess you just couldn't make it, so I'm heading home.” You paused to sniffle and prayed he wouldn't catch it if he listened. “Can you just… let me know you're okay? Please, Bucky?” you asked, hanging up before you could say more.
The little optimism you had left faded completely when you checked your messages one last time. The messages had gone from delivered to read. He got them and didn't respond. Not one single word. He just… ignored you.
Maybe everything was fine with him after all and he realized you weren't good enough to go on a date with.
Choking on a small sob, you tucked your phone away. You didn't bother with a cab. The walk could help clear your head. You didn't care if the distance would ruin your shoes. It wasn't like you had anyone to dance with tonight or any other night.
“I’ll be fine,” you whispered to yourself, curling in on yourself as you walked. It hurt, but you’d be fine. You'd suck it up, put a smile on your face, and convince everyone that all was well because that was the way it had to be.
But how would you face Bucky come Monday? You still cared about him, but how would you be able to look him in the eye and hide the hurt you felt from being left all alone in that restaurant? How would you move forward together if he didn't want you?
No, not together. There was no togetherness at the moment since Bucky stood you up. He clearly didn't want you. Maybe he never did and he only asked you out as a fluke or some obligation so people would stop trying to set him up.
You wiped at your cheeks again. The unknown was going to keep your mind racing until he told you why he didn't show. He owed you some sort of explanation.
But tonight, you'd walk home alone with a heavy heart and hoped that whatever Bucky was doing that he was okay.
I need a happy ending for them immediately. Love and thanks for reading! ❤️

Request <3 Rafe asks Reader out and despite knowing of his turbulent reputation and arrogance, something in her says yes, even though she is hesitant to go. On the date, she interprets something he says as rude and storms out of there. Maybe there is a tiny little argument and rafe being sad in the sense of ‘’you have already made up your mind about me and how you expect me to act, you think I’m awful so your looking for those faults. I’ve always wanted to get to know you and I had hoped you could see me for me but clearly u think I’m bad like everyone else’’ but u kno….reader feels awful….happy end
oooh. this is gooood, had fun making this!!

kie’s bedroom was buzzing with the sound of music and laughter as you sat cross-legged on her bed, your hair done, and a nervous flutter in your stomach that refused to settle. kirara was kneeling in front of you, focused intently on your makeup, her tongue poking out slightly as she concentrated.
“hold still, or i’m going to smudge your eyeliner,” she warned, her tone light but commanding.
“i can’t help it,” you said, laughing nervously. “what if this is a disaster?”
“it won’t be,” cleo chimed in from the chair near the window, her accent thick and her legs stretched out and her phone in her hand. “and if it is, we’re just one call away, sweetheart. you say the word, and we’re pulling up to rescue you.” she flashed you a wink, making you laugh despite yourself.
“okay, sit still, or i swear i’m going to stab you in the eye with this eyeliner,” kiara muttered, holding up the pencil like a weapon.
“i’m sitting still!” you protested, trying to stifle your nervous energy as she grabbed your chin and tilted it up.
“you’re fidgeting,” cleo said with a laugh. “girl, you’re more nervous than a cat in a room full of rocking chairs.”
sarah, sprawled out on the bed with her own cold curling iron abandoned beside her, propped herself up on one elbow. “okay, but like, seriously,” she said, her tone shifting to something softer, “i know he’s my brother, but... just be careful, alright?”
your gaze met hers in the mirror, and you could see the concern in her expression. “i mean, i love him. i do. but rafe’s... complicated,” she added.
“that’s an understatement,” cleo muttered under her breath.
“wow, that’s super reassuring, sarah,” kiara said, her voice dripping with sarcasm as she dabbed highlighter on your cheekbones. “way to hype him up.”
“i’m serious!” sarah insisted, crossing her arms. “i love him, and all, but he’s very complicated. you should know that before you—”
“get in too deep?” cleo cut in, smirking. “don’t worry, sweetheart. we’re just one call away if things go sideways.”
“i know,” you admitted, fiddling with the hem of your dress. “i’ve heard all the stories, sarah. but he’s been... i don’t know... different with me. like he’s trying, you know?”
“that’s because he likes you,” kie said, leaning back to admire her handiwork. “okay, close your eyes for a sec.” you did as she asked, and a moment later, you felt the soft brush of eyeshadow on your eyes. “but liking someone doesn’t mean he’s not still rafe.”
“exactly,” sarah said, pointing at kiara like she’d just proven her point. “he’s got a good heart, but he’s made some... questionable choices. just don’t let him pull any of that macho, ‘i’m too cool to care’ nonsense on you.”
“and if he does, call us,” cleo added, her tone breezy but firm. “i’ve been dying to tell that boy off for weeks.”
you couldn’t help but laugh at the mental image of cleo storming in, ready to confront rafe on your behalf. “thanks, guys. i appreciate the backup.”
“that’s what we’re here for,” kie said, standing up and dusting her hands like she’d just finished a masterpiece. “alright, check it out.”
you turned to the mirror, your jaw dropping slightly at your reflection. kiara had managed to enhance your natural features without overdoing it, and the soft shimmer on your eyes made them pop. “wow,” you breathed. “you’re amazing.”
kiara grinned. “i know.”
“okay, but real talk,” sarah said, sitting up fully now. “what are you even going to talk about with him? like, do you have a plan?”
“i mean... not really?” you admitted, feeling a fresh wave of nerves. “what if it’s awkward? or he says something that—”
“that pisses you off?” cleo cut in with a smirk. “let’s be real, it’s rafe. he probably will.”
“thanks for the vote of confidence,” you said, rolling your eyes but laughing along with them.
“but seriously,” kie said, her expression softening. “just be yourself. if he’s worth it, he’ll get it.”
“and if he doesn’t,” sarah added, “you have us.”
“exactly,” cleo said, holding up her phone.
despite your nerves, their support made you feel lighter, like no matter what happened, you’d be okay. “i love you guys,” you said, pulling them into a group hug.
“love you too,” sarah said, squeezing you tightly.
“now, let’s talk about what you’re wearing because if you show up looking like this,” she gestured at your comfy-but-basic jeans and sweater, “he’s going to think you’re not even trying.”
“do we care what he thinks?” cleo quipped, raising an eyebrow.
“no,” you said quickly, then paused. “i mean… maybe a little? i just don’t want him to think i’m trying too hard.”
“guys are dumb, especially rafe” sarah said matter-of-factly. “if you showed up in pajamas, he’d probably still think you looked great.”
kiara snorted. “not rafe. he’d have an opinion, trust me,” she said before handing you a dark purple-ish dress.
“oh my God, can we please not overanalyze this?” you groaned, changing into your new outfit, before flopping down on the bed again. “i’m already freaking out enough as it is.”
“relax,” cleo said, pulling you up by your hands. “you’ve got this. and if he’s a jerk? like i said—one call. we’ll swoop in like the badasses we are.”
“maybe with baseball bats,” kiara added with a mischievous grin.
sarah rolled her eyes but gave a small smile, “okay, let’s not go that far.”
you couldn’t help but laugh, their banter easing some of the tension in your chest.
“just… don’t let him get in your head, okay? if he’s a jerk, you walk away. no second chances,” sarah said, her expression softening.
“got it,” you took a deep breath and stood up, smoothing your hands over your new outfit. “okay, how do i look?”
“like a princess,” kie said.
“like you’re about to ruin his life in the best way,” cleo added with a wink.
“and like my brother doesn’t deserve you,” sarah muttered, though there was a small smile on her face.
you laughed, shaking your head. “alright, i’m going, he just texted. pray for me.”
“we’re doing more than that, sweetheart” cleo called as you headed for the door. “we’re on standby!”
“now go knock him off that high horse of his,” kie said with a grin, pushing you softly out the door.
“and remember,” sarah called after you, “if he messes this up, he’ll have to deal with us.”
“but mostly with cleo,” kiara smiled as cleo nodded in agreement.
you laughed as you stepped out into the evening, toward rafe’s car, their voices and laughter ringing in your ears. whatever happened, you knew you weren’t going into this alone.
the cool evening air nipped at your skin as you stepped outside, your nerves tingling with every step you took toward rafe’s car. his black SUV was parked right in front of kiara’s house, its sleek lines glowing under the dim porch light. it was so typical rafe—imposing, polished, and just a little intimidating.
behind you, you could hear the faint buzz of your friends through the open window, their laughter and whispered encouragements floating into the night. kiara had insisted on walking you out, but you’d waved her off, knowing they’d all be watching anyway.
“deep breaths,” you murmured to yourself, clutching the strap of your bag like a lifeline. your heels clicked softly against the pavement as you closed the distance, every step feeling heavier than the last.
rafe was leaning against the hood of his car, arms crossed, the sharp line of his jaw illuminated by the glow of the streetlamp. he looked up when he saw you, his expression unreadable at first, but then his lips curved into a lopsided smile—the kind that made your heart skip and your stomach twist in ways you weren’t sure you liked.
“hey,” he said, straightening up as you approached. his voice was casual, but there was something in the way his eyes lingered on you, taking in your outfit, the soft sweep of kiara’s handiwork with your makeup. it made your cheeks warm despite the chill in the air.
“hi,” you managed, your voice steadier than you expected.
“you look…” he paused, his smile softening. “beautiful.”
a flicker of warmth spread through you, but you fought to keep your voice steady. “thank you. you don’t look too bad yourself.”
his eyebrows raised a little, clearly not expecting the response. “oh, really?” he teased, looking you over. “guess i cleaned up nice then.”
you couldn’t help but roll your eyes, but there was no hiding the small smile on your face. “i wouldn’t go that far, but yeah. you’re alright.”
rafe chuckled, the sound low and almost unbothered, and you were both quiet for a second as he opened the passenger door for you. his movements smooth and effortless, but there was a flicker of something in his eyes—maybe nerves? it was hard to tell.
you slid into the seat, trying not to feel too much like you were stepping into the unknown.
as you slid into the seat, you stole one last glance back at kiara’s house. the curtains shifted slightly, and you caught a flash of cleo’s grin and sarah’s wave before they ducked out of sight.
he shut the door behind you, walked around to the driver’s side, and slid in. the car filled with the faint scent of his cologne—clean and woodsy, with just a hint of something sharper. the car hummed to life, and he glanced at you, that same smirk still tugging at his lips. “ready?”
not really, you thought, but instead, you nodded, a small smile tugging at your lips. “yeah. let’s go.”
as the car rumbled to life and pulled away from kie’s house, you couldn’t help but feel like you were stepping into something you weren’t entirely prepared for. but then rafe glanced over at you, his smile genuine and a little unsure, and for a moment, the nerves didn’t feel quite so heavy.
the restaurant he picked was a small, tucked-away spot near the marina, its charm lying in its casual atmosphere. fairy lights were strung up around the outdoor patio, casting a warm glow over the mismatched wooden tables and chairs. the salty breeze from the ocean added to the laid-back vibe, and you were pleasantly surprised.
“so,” rafe said, leaning back in his chair with that easy confidence, a smirk playing on his lips. “be honest. how much convincing did sarah and your friends need, to let you come out with me tonight?”
you laughed, picking up your water glass. “what makes you think they tried to stop me?”
“oh, come on,” he said, leaning forward now, resting his arms on the table. “sarah’s been side-eyeing me since we were kids, and kie? she probably has a whole powerpoint on why i’m a bad idea.”
you almost choked on your wine at the mention of kiara and a powerpoint. “okay, that’s fair. there might’ve been a… brief conversation.”
“i knew it,” he said, grinning triumphantly. “wait, let me guess. sarah told you to be careful, kie offered to bail you out if things went south, because cleo—”
“threatened violence,” you finished for him, unable to stop smiling.
he laughed, shaking his head.
the air between you shifted slightly, the playful mood dipping into something more serious. but before it could get too heavy, you decided to lighten things up. “alright, mr. cameron, let’s test how much you actually care about the important stuff.”
“oh, this should be good,” he said, his grin returning. “hit me.”
“pineapple on pizza—yes or no?”
he groaned, dramatically throwing his head back. “no. absolutely not.”
“oh, thank God,” you said, relieved. “finally, someone with sense. pineapple does not belong on pizza.”
“right?!” he said, leaning forward, clearly pleased. “it’s disgusting. sweet and savory are not a vibe when it comes to pizza.”
“exactly! fruit has no business being anywhere near melted cheese.”
“see, i knew you had good taste,” he said, grinning like he’d just won something.
“you’re just lucky i agree with you,” you shot back playfully. “if i didn’t, this date might’ve been over already.”
he laughed, the sound warm and unguarded. “guess i dodged a bullet there.”
by the time the food arrived, you were genuinely having fun, the nerves from earlier all but forgotten. and as rafe cracked another joke that had you laughing so hard your sides hurt, you thought, maybe this guy isn’t as bad as everyone says.
after a few more bites of your food and another round of laughter, the conversation naturally fell into a more laid-back rhythm. you were both finishing off your meals, but the mood was light and easy, so you decided to keep the momentum going.
“alright,” rafe said, putting his fork down and leaning back in his chair, a mischievous glint in his eye. “do mcdonald's fries go with the cheese and bacon sauce?”
you didn’t even hesitate. “yes. absolutely. it’s like the best combo in the world.”
rafe stared at you for a beat, clearly surprised. “what? what?”
“it's perfect,” you said, shrugging as if it was the most obvious thing ever. “crispy fries, salty bacon, and that gooey cheese? heaven.”
he leaned forward, narrowing his eyes in disbelief. “you're really saying you dip fries in cheese and bacon sauce?”
you nodded. “yeah. and you should try it.”
he scoffed. “not gonna happen.”
you grinned, knowing you had won that round. “your turn. do you snoop in people’s bathroom cabinets when you're at parties?”
he smirked. “absolutely.”
“what?!” you burst out, laughing.
rafe smirked at your shocked expression, clearly enjoying your reaction to his answer. “what?” he said, leaning back in his chair like he’d just revealed the greatest secret in the world. “you’ve never been curious?”
you raised an eyebrow. “curious about what, exactly? what kind of toothpaste people use?”
“no, no,” he said, shaking his head with a grin. “it’s more about the little details. you know, like... the weird stuff people keep hidden in there.”
he leaned in a little, lowering his voice as if revealing a forbidden truth. “you’d be surprised what you find in bathroom cabinets.”
you were still processing this, trying not to laugh. “so, you’re telling me you’re the type to open random bathroom drawers at parties just to see what people are hiding?”
“not just that,” he said, clearly enjoying the whole thing now. “sometimes you find little oddities—like a first-aid kit with band-aids that look like they’ve never been touched, or a weird collection of shampoos no one’s ever heard of. it’s hilarious. you get a glimpse of what people are about.”
you stared at him, incredulous but amused. “so, it’s less about being nosy and more about... discovering their 'quirks,' huh?”
he grinned and shrugged. “exactly. it’s like a secret peek into their life, their habits. i mean, everyone’s got something they hide away, right?”
“yeah, i guess...” you said, trying not to smile too much. “but... isn’t that a little weird?”
“maybe,” he admitted with a chuckle, “but it’s harmless. it’s not like i’m digging through their underwear drawer.”
you burst out laughing, shaking your head. “thank God for that.”
he raised his hands in mock surrender. “hey, i know my boundaries.” he leaned back, a teasing glint in his eyes. “plus, i’ve got sophisticated taste when it comes to snooping.”
“right,” you said, rolling your eyes. “if ‘sophisticated snooping’ is a thing, you’ve definitely mastered it.”
“oh, i have,” he said with a wink. “but you’re lucky you don’t have a party at your place... you never know what i’d find in your bathroom cabinet.”
“don’t even think about it, cameron,” you said, feigning seriousness but grinning. “i’ll lock it all down if i have to.”
rafe laughed, his eyes sparkling with amusement. “i’ll bring a crowbar next time.”
“please don’t,” you said, shaking your head, already laughing at the absurdity. “i’ve got enough weird stuff in there to last a lifetime.”
“now you’ve piqued my curiosity,” he said, giving you a sly smile.
you leaned back in your chair, raising your hands in surrender. “i’m not telling you anything. you’ll just have to guess what’s in there next time.”
“challenge accepted,” he replied, his grin widening.
“okay,” he raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued. “do you like romantic comedies?”
your response was immediate. “yes, i love them. they’re fun and lighthearted, okay?”
rafe gave a dramatic gasp. “what? you? seriously?”
“what? yes! i like feel-good movies, alright?”
“romantic comedies are so cheesy,” he said with a smirk. “like, who needs that level of unrealistic, over-the-top, ‘meet-cute’ nonsense in their life?”
“i don’t know, maybe everyone who wants to escape reality for a bit?” you shot back with a playful grin. “i’m not saying it’s life-changing, but it’s fun. plus, who doesn’t want to watch two people fall in love in the most dramatic way possible?”
“okay, okay,” he conceded with a sigh. “i guess i get it… but i’m still not watching one.”
you smirked, leaning back in your chair. “we’ll see about that.”
“fine, your turn again,” he said, crossing his arms like he was ready to take on anything.
“do you believe in ghosts?”
he paused for a moment, clearly thinking it over. “yeah, i think so.”
your eyes widened. “wait, really?”
“yeah. not all the time, but i think there’s something to it.”
you raised an eyebrow. “alright, what kind of ghost person are you? like, the friendly kind or the scary one that haunts your house?”
“more like the ‘your light flickers and you get the chills’ kind,” he said, his tone casual, but there was a spark of seriousness there. “but i don’t get freaked out by it. i kind of find it... intriguing.”
“what?” you exclaimed, laughing. “i’m definitely not inviting you over if there’s a haunted house involved.”
he shrugged with a grin. “you’d be fine. i’d protect you.”
you raised an eyebrow. “i’ll take my chances with the ghost, thanks.”
rafe chuckled, clearly enjoying the back-and-forth. “alright, alright. do you prefer dogs over cats?”
you didn’t even have to think about it. “no. a thousand times, no. cats are elegant, independent, and they don’t beg for your attention every five seconds.”
he leaned back in his chair, pretending to look hurt. “i’ll have you know, dogs are loyal and affectionate. they’d never judge you for anything.”
“cats don’t judge either,” you countered with a grin. “they just… have standards. and honestly? i respect that.”
“standards?” he echoed with a laugh. “is that what you call refusing to acknowledge your existence half the time?”
“they’re selective,” you said defensively, but you could see the smile on his face. “and when they do choose you? it’s special. dogs will love anyone with a pulse.”
“wow,” he said, his smirk growing wider. “you’re really riding for the feline overlords, huh?”
“maybe,” you said with a shrug, still smiling. “but at least they’re not trying to lick my face after eating who-knows-what.”
after a few more rounds of yes/no questions, the laughter and easy conversation continued, and you both found yourself enjoying the unpredictability of the game. by the end of the night, you realized that despite all the teasing and disagreement, there was something nice about getting to know each other in this simple, silly way.
and maybe, just maybe, you were starting to see the appeal of rafe cameron—despite his questionable opinions on romantic comedies and his lack of ghostly fear.
the night had been almost perfect. rafe had paid for dinner without making a big deal of it, his effortless charm making you smile more than you thought you would. as you walked back to his car, you couldn’t help but think that maybe—just maybe—giving him a chance hadn’t been a mistake.
“you can just admit i have better taste,” he teased, shooting you a grin as he unlocked the car.
“you mean i let you win that debate,” you countered, playfully nudging his arm.
he rolled his eyes but grinned. “sure. let’s go with that.”
he opened the passenger door for you, that boyish charm still in full swing. but as you were about to step into the car, a sharp voice from across the parking lot stopped you.
“cameron!” one of the guys called out, loud enough to turn heads. a small group was hanging out near the curb, their laughter ringing out in the cool night air.
you looked up, your heart dropping slightly as they sauntered closer. something about their demeanor screamed trouble.
“yo, rafe! didn’t know you were slumming it these days!” one of them jeered, his voice dripping with mockery.
another chimed in, louder and cruder. “what’s the deal, man? thought you were into classier types. or is this just a one-time thing?”
“man, i didn’t think you still did one-night stands,” the first one said with a smirk, his eyes flicking to you. “guess you’ve still got a type.”
you froze, every muscle in your body tensing. it was like the air had been knocked out of you. did you hear that right?
another guy chimed in, his grin even slimier. “what’s the plan, rafe? dinner, a little sweet talk, and then you drop her off tomorrow like the rest?”
the laughter that followed was harsh and cutting, their words echoing in your mind.
you stood there, frozen, trying to process what they’d just said. did they think you were just some… hookup? was that what this was to rafe?
rafe’s posture immediately shifted—his jaw tightening, his shoulders squaring up like he was ready for a fight. “shut your mouth,” he snapped, his voice cold and sharp.
but you didn’t hear his response. you were too stunned, too humiliated by the way they had spoken about you, like you weren’t even a person. your head was spinning, and your chest ached, the weight of their words settling over you like a heavy blanket.
“hey, don’t walk away!” one of the guys called, laughing. “we’re just messing around. guess she can’t take a joke!”
rafe turned to them, stepping closer with an edge in his tone. “keep talking, and we’ll see how funny it is when you’re picking up your teeth.”
you didn’t catch that either. all you knew was that rafe hadn’t said anything to you. he hadn’t reassured you, hadn’t told them off in a way you could hear. all you felt was exposed and small.
when he turned back to you, you were already standing stiffly by the open passenger door, your arms crossed tightly over your chest.
“oh, come on, girl,” one of them said to you, chuckling. “we’re just messing with you. you don’t have to get so worked up.”
“shut your mouths,” rafe said sharply, stepping forward, his tone low and threatening.
but their laughter didn’t stop.
“get in the car,” rafe said, turning back to you, his voice still tight with anger.
but you couldn’t move. your chest felt heavy, and you realized your hands were trembling as you stared at him. “was that… was that what this was?”
“What was what?” he asked, frowning.
“that,” you said, motioning toward the group of guys still lingering nearby. “and this,” you said, motioning between the two of you. “was this just some… thing to you? just a one-time thing?”
“what? no!” rafe’s eyes widened in shock. “what are you even talking about?”
“what they said—was it true? is that what you do? take girls out, make them feel special, and then just… move on?”
“are you serious right now?” rafe asked, his frustration bubbling to the surface. “i told them to shut up! i told them they were wrong!”
“but you didn’t say anything to me,” you shot back, your voice trembling with anger and hurt. “you didn’t stop to tell me that i wasn’t just some fling. you didn’t even try to—”
“because i didn’t think i had to!” he interrupted, his voice rising. “you should know that’s not what this is!”
“how am i supposed to know that?” you said, your voice cracking. “i barely know you, rafe. and all i know about you is the reputation you’ve worked so hard to earn.”
rafe’s face fell slightly, but he quickly masked it with anger. “you’ve already made up your mind about me, haven’t you? you think i’m just some player who only cares about himself. no matter what i do, that’s all you see.”
“maybe because that’s what everyone says about you!” you shot back, your emotions spilling over now. “and honestly? tonight, it doesn’t feel like they’re wrong.”
rafe stepped back as if you’d slapped him, his jaw tightening. “you think i don’t care about you?”
you shook your head, wiping at your eyes. “i don’t know what to think, rafe. but right now, i just… i feel like i shouldn’t have come here in the first place.”
his expression flickered, a mix of frustration and sadness, but he didn’t say anything.
you pulled out your phone, your hands shaking as you dialed cleo’s number.
she picked up after the second ring, her voice cheerful. “what’s up, sweetheart?”
“can you come get me?” you asked, your voice barely above a whisper. “please?”
there was a pause, then a shift in her tone. “where are you?”
you gave her the location, not even looking at rafe as you spoke. when you hung up, you stepped away from the car, wrapping your arms around yourself as you waited.
“are you seriously leaving?” rafe asked, his voice quieter now but still laced with frustration.
you nodded, staring at the ground. “yeah. i think it’s better this way.”
“better for who?” he asked, his voice cracking slightly. “because it sure as hell doesn’t feel better for me.”
you didn’t answer, biting the inside of your cheek. when cleo’s car finally pulled up, you climbed in without looking back, the weight of the night pressing down on you.
the date had started so well—better than you ever thought it could. but now, as you drove away, all you felt was disappointment and the sinking feeling that maybe you’d been wrong to trust him at all.
you arrived at kiara’s house feeling like the weight of the world was pressing on your chest. as soon as you stepped through the door, cleo was there, wrapping you in a hug without saying a word.
“c’mon, sweetheart,” she said softly, rubbing your back. “let’s get you upstairs.”
kiara and sarah were already waiting in kiara’s room, seated cross-legged on the bed, a tub of ice cream and an array of snacks spread out between them.
“oh my gosh,” kiara said, her face scrunching in concern as she looked up at you. “what happened?”
“start from the beginning,” sarah added, sitting up straighter. “you look like you’re about to cry.”
you let cleo guide you to the bed, slipping into the oversized hoodie kiara handed you before collapsing against the pillows. the moment the fabric enveloped you, some of the tension in your shoulders eased, but the knot in your chest remained tight.
“okay,” you began, taking a deep breath. “the date started fine. better than fine, actually. it was… really nice. he was charming, and funny, and it felt like he was actually trying.”
“that’s a good start,” cleo said, sitting beside you and passing over a spoon.
“it was,” you agreed, twisting the spoon in your hands. “but then, when we were walking back to his car, these guys—” you paused, swallowing the lump in your throat. “these guys said the worst things. like, they were making it sound like i was just some one-night stand he picked up.”
kiara’s jaw dropped. “what the hell?”
sarah groaned, dragging a hand down her face. “why does every guy he knows have to be such a douchebag?”
“that’s not even the worst part,” you said, your voice cracking. “rafe told them to shut up, but it didn’t feel like enough. and i—i just felt so…” you trailed off, staring at the tub of ice cream.
“used?” cleo supplied, her tone softer now.
you nodded, blinking back tears. “yeah. and then i asked him if that’s what this was, and we started arguing. he said i was assuming the worst about him, but—” you groaned, burying your face in your hands. “did i overreact?”
“no,” all three of them said in unison, their voices firm.
“not even a little bit,” kiara added, scooping a giant spoonful of ice cream and shoving it into her mouth.
cleo nudged your shoulder. “sweetheart, you have every right to feel the way you feel. those guys were disgusting, and rafe should’ve done more than just tell them to shut up. he should’ve made sure you knew you weren’t some fling to him.”
sarah crossed her arms, frowning. “i know he’s my brother, but like, what the fuck? he knows better than to let people talk about you like that. he should’ve handled it differently.”
you sighed, tugging at the sleeves of the hoodie. “but he did try to defend me. and then i accused him of using me. i mean, what if he was being genuine, and i just completely ruined everything?”
“don’t do that,” kiara said, pointing her spoon at you. “don’t turn this around on yourself. if he really wanted to prove himself, he’d have done more than just argue with you. he’d have made you feel safe.”
“exactly,” cleo agreed. “he knows his reputation, and he knows it’s going to take more than one nice dinner to change it. that’s not your fault.”
“but i feel so stupid,” you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper. “i let my guard down for once, and now i’m sitting here eating ice cream in someone else’s clothes while you guys have to cheer me up.”
kiara grabbed your hand, squeezing it tightly. “first of all, this is exactly what friends are for. second of all, you’re not stupid. you gave someone a chance, and it didn’t go the way you hoped. that doesn’t make you dumb—it makes you human.”
sarah gave you a small smile. “and for what it’s worth, i don’t think he wanted to hurt you. he’s just… rafe. he screws things up, even when he doesn’t mean to.”
“still,” cleo said, cutting in, “he’s a grown man. if he wants to prove he’s more than his reputation, then he needs to act like it.”
you leaned back against the pillows, letting their words sink in. “you guys are the best, you know that?”
kiara grinned. “obviously.”
“now,” cleo said, handing you a tub of different ice cream, “eat up. we’re not letting you mope all night. we’ve got bad movies to watch and worse advice to give.”
you sat on your bed, scrolling aimlessly through your phone. it had been a week since the date, and while life had gone back to normal for the most part, there was still a small ache in your chest whenever you thought about rafe.
you hadn’t talked to him since that night. he hadn’t texted, and you definitely weren’t about to reach out first. it was easier to tell yourself you were over it—easier to pretend the whole thing didn’t sting as much as it did.
the soft ding of your phone pulled you out of your thoughts. it was the group chat with sarah, kiara, and cleo.
as the chat died down, you set your phone aside and stared at the ceiling. you weren’t sure if you were ready to face people—especially since there was a good chance rafe might be there—but a part of you knew your friends were right. you couldn’t stay in this funk forever.
with a sigh, you grabbed your notebook and started sketching out the rest of your day, already bracing yourself for whatever the night might bring.
the next day arrived with an odd mix of excitement and nerves in the air. you were determined to go to the party, even though a small part of you still wasn’t sure what to expect. the last thing you wanted was to feel awkward or run into rafe and spiral again, but your friends had insisted, and honestly, you couldn’t stay cooped up in your room anymore.
you’d spent the afternoon getting yourself together—taking a long, steamy shower to clear your head, eating a light meal to keep your energy up, and now you were just waiting for kiara to arrive.
the doorbell rang, and you jumped off the bed, your heart racing with a mixture of anticipation and nerves. you quickly checked your reflection in the mirror, running a hand through your damp hair one last time. you had cleaned up, but you knew the real fun was about to begin when your best friends worked their magic.
Youyouopened the door to find kiara standing in the hallway, a bag of beauty products slung over her shoulder, her usual confident grin on her face.
“ready to get glam?” she asked, raising an eyebrow playfully.
“glam? i’m just hoping to look halfway decent,” you joked, stepping aside to let her in.
kie didn’t waste any time, immediately heading for the bathroom to set up her stuff. you could already hear her pulling out different hair tools and products.
a few minutes later, cleo arrived, carrying an armful of clothes.
“alright,” cleo said, dropping the clothes onto your bed, “let’s see what we have to work with here.”
“you guys are way too extra,” you laughed, but the excitement bubbling in your chest was hard to hide.
“extra is our middle name, sweetheart” cleo replied, winking as she started going through the clothes.
just as cleo began pulling out options for your outfit, sarah knocked on the doorframe, holding a bottle of perfume.
“okay, i brought backup,” she said, giving you a smirk. “this is my secret weapon—trust me, you’ll smell like the moment.”
“is that the perfume you wore on your first date with john b?” you asked, raising an eyebrow.
sarah’s face lit up a little, a soft blush creeping onto her cheeks. “maybe. but hey, don’t knock it until you try it.”
you rolled your eyes but couldn’t suppress the smile that tugged at the corner of your lips. your friends were everything you needed right now.
kie called from the bathroom, her voice sing-songy. “come sit down, girl! we’ve got work to do!”
you grabbed a water bottle from your desk, taking a quick sip before heading to the bathroom to meet kiara. she already had a chair pulled up in front of the mirror and was holding a blow dryer in one hand, ready to start working her magic.
“let’s make you shine tonight,” kie said, her smile both comforting and determined.
as she started drying your hair and cleo began picking out the perfect outfit, sarah set to work on spritzing a cloud of perfume in the air around you, the sweet scent filling your senses.
it wasn’t long before everything fell into place. your hair was done just right—a little volume, but nothing too over the top but just enough to feel a little extra. cleo had picked out a black dress that hugged you in all the right places, elegant but simple. it had the perfect amount of edge. sarah’s perfume lingered on your skin, subtle yet undeniably there.
when you stepped back in front of the mirror, you almost didn’t recognize yourself. your friends had worked magic, and for the first time in days, you didn’t feel quite so weighed down by everything.
“you look amazing,” cleo said, standing behind you and adjusting the neckline of your dress.
sarah stepped up, fixing a strand of your hair. “totally. you’re going to turn heads tonight, trust me.”
kie grinned and gave you a thumbs-up. “there she is! ready to show up and show out.”
for the first time since you’d agreed to go to this party, a small, genuine smile crept across your face. maybe tonight wasn’t going to be as bad as you’d thought. maybe this was what you needed—just a night to be carefree with your friends.
the car ride to the party was filled with a mix of chatter, laughter, and music, with cleo DJing from the front seat while sarah and kiara were backseat drivers in the most literal sense, throwing in their suggestions for the perfect pre-party playlist.
the streets outside were buzzing, the sound of music and laughter getting louder as you approached Emma L’s house. you could see the cluster of people standing outside, a few familiar faces you hadn’t seen in a while. the flashing lights from the party’s entrance cast colorful streaks across the sidewalk, and the distinct smell of perfume, cigarettes, and cheap beer filled the air.
“alright, here we go,” kiara said, pulling into a spot down the street. “moment of truth. let’s go show ‘em how it’s done.”
you laughed nervously, adjusting the straps of your dress as your friends started piling out of the car. kie was the first one to slam the door behind her, her energy already high. cleo followed right after, pulling her jacket tighter around her, clearly ready for a night of fun. you took a deep breath, glancing out the window before stepping out of the car with sarah trailing behind you.
the moment you stepped onto the sidewalk and made your way toward the front door, it felt like you had crossed into a completely different world. the music thumped louder, the bass reverberating through your chest, and the chatter grew into a chorus of voices from all directions. you were already mentally bracing yourself for the crowd, but as you approached the house, kiara threw her arm around your shoulders.
“don’t even think about it,” she said with a grin. “we’re here to have fun, no stress.”
you smiled back, appreciating her reassurance, even though you felt a little nervous.
when you walked inside, the noise hit you full force. the house was packed, people sprawled across couches, standing in clusters by the snack table, and others dancing in the living room. emma was somewhere in the crowd, greeting people with a glass of something in her hand.
“look at this place,” sarah said, taking in the scene with raised eyebrows. “this is going to be a disaster.”
“you say that like it’s a bad thing,” kiara quipped. “let’s find some drinks and make this night memorable.”
you followed the group toward the back, where the kitchen was set up with an impressive spread of snacks and drinks, and a small cooler sat on the counter. the red solo cups were in abundance, and the air felt heavy with a mix of excitement and anticipation.
the sound of a familiar voice caught your attention, and when you turned to see who it was, your heart dropped a little in your chest.
rafe.
he was leaning against the kitchen island, talking with a few of his friends, a beer in hand. his eyes flicked to you as you entered, and for a brief moment, it felt like everything around you slowed down.
his expression softened when he saw you, and he seemed to hesitate before taking a step toward you, but you quickly turned your attention to the snacks, forcing a smile as your friends continued their conversation.
kiara, who had been watching the interaction, gave you a sidelong glance. “you good?”
you nodded quickly, trying to push the discomfort away. “yeah, yeah, i’m fine. let’s just enjoy the night, right?”
cleo and sarah were already grabbing drinks, taking no time to immerse themselves in the party atmosphere. it was clear they were ready to have fun, but you couldn’t help but feel the weight of rafe’s presence in the room.
as you sipped on your drink, trying to get lost in the chaos of the party, you caught glimpses of rafe a few times. he wasn’t coming over—he wasn’t forcing anything, but it was impossible not to feel like his presence was pulling at your attention, whether you wanted it to or not.
“he’s not the reason we’re here. we’re here to have fun,” kiara said quietly, nudging your shoulder.
you nodded, trying to push your lingering thoughts about rafe to the back of your mind as the music picked up again. you were here with your friends, and tonight was about just letting go. for the first time in a while, you let yourself dance, laugh, and talk with everyone around you. but even in the middle of the crowd, you couldn’t shake the feeling that rafe was still somewhere in the back of your mind.
the bathroom was quiet, the muffled sound of the party a faint thrum in the background. you leaned against the sink, letting out a shaky breath. the conversation with rafe from weeks ago kept replaying in your mind, and guilt gnawed at the edges of your thoughts. maybe you’d been too harsh, too quick to assume the worst.
trying to shake it off, you glanced at the bathroom cabinet. what would he say if he saw this right now? you wondered, a rueful smile tugging at your lips. probably some smug comment about curiosity getting the best of you. the thought made you hesitate, but then, before you could second-guess yourself, you opened one of the drawers.
it was mostly mundane—some hair ties, lotion, a pack of floss—but still, you peeked into the next one, stifling a laugh at how absurd this felt.
“i thought you didn’t snoop in people’s bathrooms.”
the voice was calm, almost casual, but it sent a jolt through you. you whipped around to see rafe leaning against the wall, his arms crossed and his eyes on you, unreadable.
your face burned. “i don’t!” you said too quickly, slamming the drawer shut.
he raised an eyebrow, the corner of his mouth twitching. “really?”
“why are you even in here?” you shot back, trying to recover from your embarrassment, which happend quite quickly with the alcohol flowing through your system.
“i was here first,” he said with a small shrug.
your brow furrowed. “no, you weren’t. i didn’t see you when i came in.”
“yeah, because i was sitting down.”
“what? on the floor?”
“yeah.”
you blinked, utterly baffled. “wait, why?”
“why not?” he replied, as if it were the most normal thing in the world.
your jaw dropped. “you’re just casually sitting on bathroom floors at parties now? what, is that some kind of weird new hobby?”
rafe shrugged again, his expression neutral. “it’s quiet in here. i needed a breather.”
“you’re insane,” you muttered, shaking your head.
“maybe,” he said softly, his tone shifting, his eyes holding yours. “but at least i know who i am.”
the weight of his words lingered in the air, and before you could respond, he sighed. “you know, i’ve been thinking a lot about that night.”
your stomach churned, and your heart sank. “rafe, i—”
he shook his head, cutting you off. “no, let me just say this.” he took a step closer, his voice low but charged with emotion. “do you really think i’m the guy everyone says i am? the selfish, reckless asshole who doesn’t care about anyone but himself?”
your throat tightened, but you couldn’t find the words fast enough.
“because that’s what it feels like,” he continued, his gaze unwavering.
“it feels like you already decided who i am, and you’re just waiting for me to prove you right. like i’m some kind of bad habit you regret getting involved with.”
“rafe, it’s not—”
he let out a dry laugh, his frustration slipping through. “you walked away that night without even giving me a chance to say something. do you know how that felt? watching you leave like you couldn’t stand to be near me anymore?”
your chest ached at the crack in his voice, the vulnerability he was trying so hard to mask. “i didn’t mean to make you feel like that,” you said softly, your voice trembling.
“then why did you?” he asked, his eyes searching yours. “because i’ve tried, okay? i was trying so damn hard to show you that i’m not who they say i am. but it just doesn’t seem to matter. it’s like you were waiting for me to mess up so you can tell yourself you were right all along.”
his words hit you like a punch to the gut, and tears stung your eyes. “i’m sorry,” you whispered.
he shook his head, his voice breaking slightly. “you don’t get it. i wanted to be someone different for you. i wanted to be better, to show you that i’m not just... the guy with the reputation.” he paused, running a hand through his hair. “but maybe that’s all you’ll ever see.”
“no,” you said quickly, stepping forward. “that’s not true. i—”
“then why?” he asked again, quieter this time, his tone almost pleading.
you swallowed hard, guilt weighing heavily on your shoulders. “i was scared, okay? scared that what those guys said was true. scared that i was just some... thing for you to pass the time with. and instead of asking you, i just... i ran.”
he studied you for a long moment, the anger fading from his expression but the hurt still etched deep in his eyes. “you should’ve trusted me,” he said simply.
“i know,” you said, your voice cracking. “i shouldn’t have left like that. i’m so sorry, rafe. i... i want to fix this.”
his lips twitched in a bitter smile. “you’re sure about that? because i don’t know if i can keep trying to prove myself to someone who doesn’t believe in me.”
you looked down at the tiled floor, your chest tightening. “i... i don’t know what to say,” you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper. “i think—i know i messed up.”
rafe didn’t respond right away, his silence stretching long enough to make your heart pound.
“it wasn’t fair,” you continued, glancing up at him, your throat tightening. “the way i left. the way i didn’t even let you explain. i shouldn’t have done that.”
he let out a quiet breath, leaning back against the wall, his expression unreadable. “why did you, then?”
“i don’t know,” you said, shaking your head. “i was upset, when... i heard what those guys said, and it felt like...” You trailed off, biting your lip.
“felt like what?” he pressed, his voice softer now.
“like maybe they were right,” you said finally, the words heavy on your tongue. “like maybe i was just another... another thing for you to pass the time with. and instead of asking you about it, i just...left.”
rafe’s jaw tightened, his gaze fixed on you.
“i guess i thought if i left first, it wouldn’t hurt as much,” you admitted, your voice trembling. “but it did. it hurt anyway.”
he exhaled sharply, running a hand through his hair. “so you thought i’d just—what? use you? like i don’t care about you at all?”
“i didn’t want to think that,” you said quickly, your voice cracking. “but it’s easier to believe what everyone says than to risk getting it wrong, isn’t it?” you looked at him, your eyes stinging. “it wasn’t fair to you, and i’m sorry for that. for not giving you the chance to prove them wrong. for assuming you wouldn’t.”
rafe’s shoulders relaxed just slightly, though his expression was still guarded. “you really think that’s who i am?” he asked, quieter now.
“no,” you said, shaking your head. “not now. but that night... i don’t know. i let myself get scared. i let myself believe the worst because it felt safer than believing in what i don’t know.”
he studied you, his eyes searching yours. “and what do you believe now?”
“i don’t know everything,” you admitted, your heart pounding. “but i don’t want to keep running away. i don’t want to see you as just... this idea people have about you. i want to see you for you. if you’ll let me.”
rafe’s shoulders seemed to drop slightly, and the tension in his face softened. “okay,” he said again, his voice quieter this time, like he was still letting the word settle. he leaned back against the wall, his arms folding loosely across his chest. “i get it, you know. why you felt like that.”
you blinked, caught off guard by the calm in his tone. “you do?”
he nodded, glancing down for a moment before meeting your eyes again. “i mean, look at me. i don’t exactly make it easy for people to see past the reputation, do i? the parties, the fights, the stupid crap i’ve done.” he shrugged lightly, a self-deprecating smile tugging at his lips.
“i’ve given people plenty of reasons to think the worst about me.”
“but that’s not all you are,” you said softly, stepping a little closer.
he gave a small, humorless laugh. “yeah, well, it’s not easy convincing people of that. and after a while... you just stop trying, you know? if they’re gonna think I’m a screw-up no matter what, why not lean into it?”
“that’s not fair to you,” you said, your voice firm.
“maybe not,” he admitted, his gaze steady. “but i get why you’d think i’d... i don’t know. be like that. use you.”
you opened your mouth to protest, but he held up a hand. “i’m not saying it’s true. i’m only saying i get it. i’ve screwed up a lot. and when you’ve heard something about someone enough times, it’s hard not to believe it.”
“i should’ve given you the benefit of the doubt,” you murmured, guilt tugging at you again.
“maybe,” he said, his lips twitching into a faint smirk. “but i didn’t exactly give you a reason to think otherwise, did i? i’m not great at... the whole being a better person thing.”
you smiled despite yourself. “you’re doing better than you think, rafe.”
he raised an eyebrow, clearly skeptical. “oh, yeah? how do you figure?”
“you’re here, aren’t you?” you said, gesturing around the small bathroom. “you could’ve avoided me completely tonight, but you didn’t. and you’re not yelling at me or telling me i’m awful for what i did. you’re listening.”
he tilted his head, considering that for a moment. “huh. guess i am.”
“and for what it’s worth,” you added, your voice soft, “i like the guy who’s sitting on bathroom floors and listening. he’s... kind of sweet.”
rafe chuckled, the sound warm and genuine. “sweet? that’s a new one.”
“don’t let it go to your head,” you teased, a small grin tugging at your lips.
“too late,” he shot back, a playful glint in his eye. “but... thanks.”
there was a pause, the air between you feeling lighter now, softer. he glanced at the cabinet you’d been rifling through and smirked. “so, find anything good in there?”
you rolled your eyes, laughing. “not a chance. this place is boring.”
“figures,” he said, leaning back against the wall, a lopsided grin spreading across his face. “you know, i don’t mind you snooping around, though. makes me feel less like the only weirdo in the world who does that.”
“oh, no,” you said, crossing your arms with a mock-serious expression. “you’re definitely still a weirdo, cameron.”
he laughed, shaking his head. “fair enough.”
as the laughter faded, he looked at you, something softer and more genuine in his gaze. “thanks for... sticking around this time,” he said quietly.
“thanks for letting me,” you replied, your heart fluttering as he gave you a small, crooked smile that felt more real than anything else in the world.

It was a gift, or rather, he was the gift.
A downpayment of six hundred dollars told you enough about the man. It’s obvious he offers his services to lonely, sad, rich women who have no one else to spend their money on. A parasite, a leech, is what he is. Yet, still, your best friend has been taunting you with the idea for months in an attempt to have you give the guy a try.
She had apparently heard of the infamous Jake through various means. All rich women, all lonely and unsatisfied women. Which, to you only seems like a fucking insult to be taunted with the very idea of hiring this man. What is she implying? That you’re lonely and unsatisfied? Please.
Some best friend. Then again, she has since experienced Jake herself, and now her taunting feels more like…promises.
“He’s so clean, toned, and oh god–” She had paused with a flush across her cheeks as she thought back to the heated night. “The way he moves, shit, he teases so much. I could have died right then and there if he were to–”
The expression of disinterest on your face did not halt her doting, nor did the blatant grimace you eventually shot at her. Genuinely, you cannot take her seriously. Already you know too much about her, which is nice and all, but you could do without the details of her little stripper friend and how “wet” he left her.
“I even heard that sometimes he even gives special treatments with his services…” She had rolled her eyes after she said that, almost looking offended. “Not that I'd know or anything, he took my cash and left when our session was up.”
You recall knowing exactly what that “treatment” probably entailed, and the reason your best friend didn’t get it was likely due to the fact that she’s, well, not that rich. You’d assume such an expensive man wouldn’t give special treatments to women who wouldn’t end up being repeat customers anyway. Or, maybe, he just wasn’t trying to drain her dry.
And even with all of the information being dangled in front of your face, practically force fed to you, the image should be more delicious than the century-old wine you have every night at dinner– for the entire duration of her doting compliments of Jake, you are simply not fucking interested. There’s other things to do in life, more to worry about than getting your body excited for someone who will never finish the job.
Last week was when your bestie told you all about her single night with him. In fact, her entire visit was just her speaking of him, of how great he is, of how alluring he is. Arguably, you see that she’s a bit obsessed. Does it make you curious? Maybe a little bit, but not enough to actually give him a go yourself. And so, after that visit, you watched her leave with a menacing, evil little glint in her eye. You ignored it, as per usual considering she’s always up to something, unaware that the visit she lends to you today is not a complimentary marketing campaign of a male stripper, no, it’s a fucking ambush.
When she appeared at your doorstep, she said nothing. She didn’t even look you in the eye, actually. Weird. She did, however, have an envelope in her hand and you were almost offended at how she threw it at you and trotted away without a single greeting or goodbye. No afternoon lunch over champagne, no gossip, no advertising. Just an envelope.
Suspicious.
Upon opening said envelope, you find that your bitch of a best friend dropped that six hundred dollar down payment, likely in an attempt to force you out of being the stick in the mud that you always are. There’s a note. Your name in bold letters, a date, a time, and a signature of none other than “Jake Sim” with a fucking website on the back.
Shortly after huffing and rolling your eyes, about two seconds from tossing her six hundred dollars in the trash, you feel your phone ping to show your best friend texting you.
Best Friend: I paid for it, you just have to tip him. a lot. tip him a lot. You: why the fuck would you buy a stripper for me?
Best Friend: you need it, trust me.
So, now here you are waiting for that knock on your door and wondering why you even tried to look nice for some dude that’s about to swing his meat in your face. Appearance, reputation, whatever. Fucking unbelievable, you think, that there’s a stripper out there that only does private parties and your own best friend thinks you need it? You could have any dick you want, why the fuck should you have to pay just to look?
He’s going to be expecting more than just you here, alone in your house. Surely, he won’t be expecting to waltz into someone’s home all oiled up only to find one very disinterested woman.
・・・・・・・・・・・・・・
To your dismay, Jake has apparently already been warned of you. Your best friend probably told him that you’re a nightmare, too difficult to fluster or gain an interest from. The first words out of his mouth when you opened your door was “She said you’d give me that look.”
Still, even so, your best friend wasn’t lying to him. You played the part of yourself all too well as you watched him saunter into your home as if he owned the place. You’re impressed actually, with the way he doesn’t seem to feel out of place in such a lavish room. He looks…comfortable here as he scopes out his stage for the night, like he belongs.
“Big place, looked smaller on the outside.” He says casually, filling the silence in the room since you make no attempt yourself to greet him.
You watch as he tosses his bag beside your living room couch and eyes the spacious area just in front of the large fireplace. His eyes flick to the windows, to the walls, counting the outlets and looking for shelves with space.
“The smaller the better, sometimes it feels too big in here for just me.” You finally speak, admitting a small weakness of yours almost immediately. You are lonely, despite never wanting to admit it. And you watch as he shrugs, now crouching to grab wires from his bag.
“Oh yeah?” He glances at you. “Must get lonely. What a good friend to purchase me to help you with that.”
You bite the inside of your cheek at that, noting his calm and cool tone as he talks his business. The little smirk at the corner of his lips is charming, but it’s all for show. He’s just a pretty man, that’s all he’s got going for him and you guess you can respect the hustle.
“This was not my doing.” You cross your arms, pretending to be unimpressed.
“Yeah, yeah–” He waves you off as he begins to set up, making space for small lights to set the mood, looking to see if you have a sound system he can use. “I already know that you’re new to this.” He’s still calm, still collected.
“Lucky for you, first-timers are my favorite to entertain.” He smirks again, now looking directly at you as he, now, fluffs some of your couch pillows.
Your curiosity spikes again only for a moment. You really did think that the initial meeting would be different, less casual. You half expected him to waltz in cock swinging. Wasn’t he, like, supposed to pretend to be a cop or something? You know, show up and press play on a magical stereo that didn’t exist beforehand and start vibrating on you?
Instead, he’s just setting up…fully clothed in a ratty sweater with jeans that hug his thighs. He doesn’t appear at all to be a man that gets paid to take his clothes off. It makes you wonder. Makes you want to ask questions. Then again, you still have no interest in learning about him considering you already know exactly what he will be doing soon enough.
“You’re good with the mood lighting, yeah? Or do you prefer the morgue lighting?” His eyes shoot up to the bright white lights on your ceiling as he goes for his laptop now, presumably to connect it to your very obvious sound system.
You only take slight offense to his comment on your living room lighting, considering you have a control panel that can make them way less blinding, but– he’s right. And now you’re a little insecure that you prefer such a drab color in your home. You make your way to the wall, clicking the buttons on the panel just to prove you have warm lighting too, and that you can adjust the brightness.
“Ah, perfect.” Jake hums from across the room, eyes focused on his laptop screen before glancing to you and your extravagant light switch. “A little lower.” He guides you, knowing exactly which lighting accentuates his toned body the best when paired with his own little LED colored lights.
You turn the knob slightly, wondering just how good he must be at dancing in houses like this one.
“Little more.” He smiles
You dim the lighting more, looking at him and his relaxed posture.
“Right there.” He finishes in a more gentle tone, eyes focusing back on his laptop as he prepares not only the playlist but the mood lighting from his end too. Red. Lots of red.
And you just watch, his voice ringing in your ears as you try to pretend that your best friend wasn’t right. Even with just this casual set up…he’s…goddamn, he’s alluring. In that ratty old sweater, with his messy hair and pretty smile.
Stunning.
This motherfucker is stunning.
“Go and sit–” Jake says now, nodding to your couch as he places his laptop down, presumably done with the set up. “Just tell me where I can get myself ready and I’ll be back out shortly.”
You point towards the guest bathroom as you take your seat on the couch, unsure as to why your hands feel so clammy. And by the time he rounds the corner and you can hear the bathroom door shut, you attempt to make yourself comfortable.
And goddammit, no matter how many times you’ve napped here on this plush and soft surface, you can’t find the comfort here right now. The curiosity of why you’re okay with this burns in your gut despite knowing exactly why. Despite the fact that your best friend can always see straight through you and know exactly what you are.
At the end of the day though, why the curiosity exists isn’t what matters. It’s the curiosity itself. You want to know how much money Jake makes doing this, if he likes doing it, how he got started, what he does to advertise himself in a way to only find women like you, and many other things. Countless things. He’s hot as hell, actually, and how he’s come to do this kind of work is either one of two things. One being that he’s using what the Gods gave him to the fullest. Two, being that he had no other choice.
If he’s going to be paid to give you attention, the least you can hope is that he does it because he enjoys it, not because he has to do it. And if it does end up being because he has to do it, then perhaps his tip would be even larger than what you’d give for the ladder.
You’re uncomfortable.
The fact looming that you genuinely could go out and find a man at any given moment, yet here you are with a man forced upon you because you simply won’t do it. The implications of this man being here, why he’s here, how he ended up in this situation.
You’ve never been one to care, so why start now?
“You overthink too much.” Your best friend had said to you once, twice, hundreds of times during your friendship. Maybe she’s right, maybe you should just enjoy the show without feeling entitled to a slutty man’s life story.
・・・・・・・・・・・・・・
Jake remains in the bathroom for a good thirty or so minutes, each of them passing like a nightmare in your head. Back and forth your brain goes, from not wanting to be in this situation to fighting yourself for being such a fucking bore. A very, very attractive man is primping himself for you to look at, he’s going to come out and do his best to turn you on, the least you can do is let yourself enjoy something for once. Enjoy him. Gawk and fawn over him. After all, at least you know there’s no promise to be had after he leaves.
No missed calls, no blocked numbers. This is business.
Fucking thankfully, the moment he comes out of your bathroom your mind has adjusted itself into the correct state of mind for this. A torturous adventure of thoughts, but you made it nonetheless. You actually can’t even look away from him now that he’s revealed himself, even when you tried. He isn’t dressed in anything that looks tacky or cheap. Hell, he doesn’t even look sexual. He just looks…
Expensive.
Jake genuinely looks like this is a place where he belongs. He smells like he belongs here, walks and murmurs like it too.
You feel yourself physically react to him in his blazer and dress pants. Business is what got you to where you are today, but never have you found the attire sexy in any way until now. The suit looks much like what your team would wear day to day in the office. Always all those shy men coming into your office, stuttering through their questions and need for approvals. Jake isn’t stuttering in his suit though, he’s standing confidently at his laptop as if he hasn’t even noticed you staring yet.
One look from him though is all he needed. Choosing this attire for someone like you is sure to mix both business and pleasure. It was a gamble of course, to bring your work home for you, but he does have the slight hope that you’ll never look at a man in a suit the same way again after this.
And goddamn the way his abs were glistening in the dim lighting before he had turned away from you. His blazer was partially open revealing nothing but skin when he walked into the room, and you honestly wonder if he even needed to do that. He could be fully clothed at this point and you think the room would still feel hotter than usual given your mind-state.
The way his belt held his pants on his hips was enough to have you thinking, looking as if it’s begging to be unbuckled just so the sound of it could fill your ears. The way the blazer widens his shoulders much more than the sweater from before. He looks bigger right now, both physically and in aura.
The scent of him wafted off of him in an even prettier way when paired with his image. He smells like a sweet type of musk, something you’d be interested in drinking alongside your dinner on special occasions. And under the assumption that the scent is why his abs are fucking glistening– fucking body oil. He uses body oil for this.
His hair rustles about when he turns to face you again, this time with the bass of whatever song he’s playing accentuating each step towards you. So…the talking is done then? Your cheeks heat up at how quickly he starts his session with you, even without a single roll of his body. Already, you could eat him alive, the smirk on his face leading your eyes straight to him.
Trailing down, down down. To his neck, that small glimpse of exposed chest, to the even more exposed lower abdomen section. His belt.
“Good?” He asks, leaning over you and placing his hands on either side of your head as he grips the couch.
You can’t look up at him, eyes training on his chest that you can now fully see through his single buttoned blazer. That same sweet musk assaulting your lungs.
Watching you from up here, Jake can tell you’re going to be fun to play with. A woman with such a harsh exterior now melting at the mere image of him when he’s got the right lights on him. To be fair, he really was warned and prepared by your friend, which didn’t seem the type to afford him on more than one occasion.
He thought it was nice that she paid for another session, shocking him to learn that it wasn’t for herself at all. What a wonderful friend, and what a bitch you’d be to have turned him away.
Finally, you nod to him, still eyeing his body in a shameful show of how much you genuinely did need this. What’s so bad about paying to look? Especially when the man is Jake, and he’s presenting himself like this.
“Rule number one.” Jake smiles, swaying in front of you as his grip tightens against the couch, wanting you to feel trapped and hopefully mesmerized by him, “I only accept bills of twenty, fifty, and one hundred. If you toss a fucking dollar, I’m leaving.”
That’s clearly not an issue you could fathom having, despite your internal protests. You only carry bigger bills anyway so you nod to him, quickly forgetting he even shared that ridiculous rule that would never apply to you by means of watching his hips swirl rather than sway. You see the heaviness in his pants, and you wonder if he gets himself hard for these little shows.
You fear looking up at his face now too, because you know he’s staring down at you, watching your every breath, every move.
“Rule number two,” He lends down now, lowering his voice and blowing against your ear in a short breath. “Don’t touch me without being invited, or without asking.”
Now, that’s a rule that applies to you only because you immediately want to defy it. There’s a knee jerk reaction almost that makes you want to reach out, to grip his flexing body and pull it closer. You wanted to feel how slick his skin is with that wonderfully scented oil. You wanted the scent on your fingers for later, you wanted to feel how warm he must be.
He doesn’t wait for your nod this time though, already noticing a familiar look on your face that he gets from most, if not all, of his clients. This is why he’s so in demand, after all. If he plays hard to get, sometimes he gets more out of his sessions. Sometimes he even gets a repeat client.
“And rule number three–” He continues, this time pulling back and positioning his face in front of yours. This rule appears to be an important one, the rule where you need to look at his face rather than his body. As if it needs to be heard. “I won’t touch you unless you ask– or beg.”
What you’re not realizing at this moment is that rule number three isn’t something he often speaks of. Sometimes, very rarely, Jake is in a mood when he goes out on a job. Condoms are always with him, just in case, but he never intends to use them or utter rule number three until meeting said client. They pay to look at him, not to touch him, however…if they pique his interest he surely offers the third rule.
And if a client never hears of it, they know that even if they ask to touch, he would never. Even if they want him to touch, he wouldn’t touch anywhere too pleasurable.
Meaning, you were right to assume what he was doing in your bathroom for so long. His hand felt better than usual against his length for the split second he had of tucking it into the most attractive position. He knew instantly that tonight was one of those nights, and you were to be a point of his own desire too. He played with himself for a bit, allowing himself to get half hard before coming out of the bathroom.
The way you looked at him finished the job, allowing his cock to grow to full attention at the mere sight of you fawning over him in silent discomfort. So– yeah, the third rule being for you was a given.
And when you swallow around a lump in your throat and look dead into his eyes, he thinks you know exactly what he means too. You’re lucky his cock is acting up, hell, he’s lucky it’s acting up. Look at you, fuck. Those tired eyes look ignited, and what luck the two of you have to have ever known your best friend.
“Deal?” He finally says, tilting his head cutely and waiting for you to nod. And you do nod, just as he suspected you would. Slowly, before glancing down at his body again.
He knows now that it’s time to start moving. Really moving.
“Is the song okay?” He asks, now pulling back and bracing himself against the back of your couch with all of his strength. “It was picked specifically for you.”
You’re not entirely what he means by that, but you assume your friend must have told him what she thinks you’d like.
“It’s fine.” You say, glancing away from his direct eye contact and suddenly feeling like a love-struck puppy in the way you feel so incredibly fucking shy because of him.
Jake notes that you didn’t ask what he meant by the song, but he doesn’t push. He’s better at talking with his body anyway. So, he begins to focus. Opting to start slowly and work his way up, specifically to work you up.
He steps back and away from the couch, centering himself in your living room as he closes his eyes and stretches his arms up to loosen his body a little more. Most of his clients love to see the way his muscles move as he stretches, and he suspects you’re of the same mind.
This entire playlist is chosen for clients like you. The ones he intends to let see all of him if they so wish to. The music is slow, the bass is strong, and each beat runs through the body in a way that makes him shiver. He can move as if he’s fucking you even from across the room without so much as a touch, and he knows you’ll realize it.
He’s at his best too, when this sort of thing happens to him. The eye contact is more intense, his hips are more pointed for a reason other than payment, and arguably he feels he’s most attractive like this too. Considering the countless times he’s been paid to dance and expose himself to women he’d never even look at twice, it always hits differently when a client is just his type.
And when he looks at you through the start of his dance, you appear to be painfully stiff against that soft couch. He smirks, a small chuckle rumbling from his chest. If only you knew how lucky you are, knowing his clients would be on their knees for a chance to experience him like this.
The fact that it’s your first time doing this…he’d be smart to not pull this shit on you. He’s never tried this with a new client, after all but–fuck, just look at you.
Jake’s hips move on their own for the most part, he doesn’t have to think much when he’s getting into it. He easily dances along to the music for you, as if it’s second nature to him despite not yet removing any clothing. It’s the build-up for him now, and he thinks it may be that for you too. Of course, if he leaves your house tonight with a large tip in his pocket and a hard, untouched cock, that’s fine too, though not preferable.
You watch him the same way he watches you, after all, the electricity for this to play out is there. It’s rare that he can feel goosebumps raise on his skin by a mere look from a woman that looks far too powerful despite sitting there helpless. He’s making you helpless, the dim lighting of this room accentuating his body is making you helpless.
And truly, you find yourself understanding with each shadow on his stomach as to why he’s so favored in the groups of lonely women. Arguably, you’re shocked your best friend decided to share him.
As the song begins to fade, Jake readjusts himself. He watches you during the brief silence, a sort of fondness in his eyes making you wonder if he’s looking at you or if he does this for everyone. It feels intimate with the way his eyes slowly scan your body in the quiet room. As if the silence doesn’t need to be filled with anything other than eye contact.
For him though, a woman has never met his eye between songs. Typically, their eyes are glued to his chest, cock, hands, and neck– never his eyes. They’re muttering, moaning, or shouting for him to hurry up, that the clock is ticking and they want to see more. But not you. Even as the next song plays, your eyes stay focused on his until he looks away and starts closing the distance. He skews his body now, allowing you to see him in profile.
In some ways, you have him feeling a bit flustered in the way you keep meeting his eye despite his body making a show for you. He’s never had to act with his face more than he has with you, even as he drops to his knees during a particular part in the song, thrusting his hips forward in an attempt to make you imagine yourself bent over on the floor in front of him.
He glances to his side, and still you’re searching his face.
He, now, looks back down for a moment, finding himself trying to guide yours somewhere else. He knows his job is to be looked at, to be seen, but this is far too seen for his liking. Thankfully, your eyes do follow his, and you gasp at the way he moves.
Your mouth falls open, gripping the hem of your dress as you imagine exactly what he intended.
The fact that this is your first time, Jake realizes this is new ground for him too. Typically, he speaks with his body and it appears now, he needs to portray some form of sexuality to you with his eyes. Like the roles are switched, he has to do to you what you’re supposed to be doing to him.
This is new, but warranted. Easy, even, for him to do it because he does want you.
You watch him intently, not fully realizing that you’re barely watching him fuck the air in front of him. Yeah, you see that too, but your eyes always go back to his and now, his own gaze is meeting yours. His gaze is searching your body, watching you move in reaction. From the way your fingers grip at the clothes he’d like to see on the floor later, to the way you slightly rub your legs together in a way that is almost too easy to miss. This alone is enough for him as his eyes burn their gaze into you. Much like you’re supposed to be doing to him.
He’s supposed to be able to look at you and know exactly what you’re thinking. So be it, the least he can do is let you know what he’s thinking.
Jake’s dance is more intentional now when he leans back on his arms, throwing his head back but keeping his head turned towards you. He tries to show you specifically what he would do to you. That bulge in his pants is large and blatant as he thrusts forward and back to the music. You glance to it, offering the same jittery reactions of arousal.
And this is when he allows his blazer to slide off of his shoulders, reaching to unbutton that single clasp for it to go sliding to the floor. He continues his movements through it, watching your eyes move to his arms and the strength used to hold himself up, his skin more and more visible to you. You do try to keep eye contact but…well, the way his abs flex when he presses forward, going concave with each inhale of those sensual lips that constantly smirk at you.
It’s a shame, really, to know that the bulge in his pants will remain there, unseen.
With his blazer now pooled at his wrists, he regains his focus. He wants you so badly by this point that it’s driving him crazy how hard he’s having to work for it. You’re supposed to be feeling this way, not him. Even if he can see that his routine is causing a reaction from you, he’s practically masturbating himself against the inseam of his pants just to get you to say something to him.
Meaning, he needs to work harder. The current song is soon to be replaced with another, his favorite to dance to, his favorite to fuck to. And to be fair, by the time this playlist gets to this song on this specific playlist, usually his clients are already shaking under him. Not you though, you’re holding yourself back and he can fucking see it.
He ignores the fact that it’s technically not time for him to move on to his next set of dancing, mostly because he almost never has to get to this part, he leaves his blazer on your floor as he positions himself back on his knees, turning towards you this time and looking you straight in the eyes. The fact that he’s hard and horny is enough to amplify the way he’s looking at you, confidence so high that he’s fine with being seen in any way you want.
He’s slow when he does it, crawling a few steps closer to you. You watch the way his shoulders move in the light, his eyes rounded and cheeky, his hair falling in front of them with a charming movement. It’s not intentional when you rub your legs together at the image yet again, very much wanting to spread them the closer he gets to you.
You can’t help but think he looks smaller on his hands and knees, eyes looking up at you as if he could eat you whole. You do wonder if your face reads the same for him, with the nervousness hitting you off and on.
“You’re hot when you look down at me like that.” Jake mutters out of nowhere under the veil of his music, stopping in place in front of you, planting himself right at your feet. “I’d like to touch you, is that okay?”
Nevermind the fact that Jake has never actually had to ask to touch a client before, he really can’t help it at this point. His cock is aching in his pants and he isn’t quite ready to wait an entire playlist worth of songs just to put his clothes back on and leave the door with pain between his legs. He very much wants to fuck something right now, preferably someone.
You.
On the other hand, he’s pleased to see how fucking fast you accept his request. Yes, he can touch you. Fuck, you want him to touch you.
And the whole idea that this is just him doing his job is so far in the back of your mind right now that you almost forget that he probably does this to most of the women he’s paid to entertain. Quite frankly, you don’t give a fuck. You can pretend that he only does this for you, you can live in a fantasy just for a night.
Jake lends you a smile as the current song finally fades out, the silence back except this time, you’re not looking into his eyes when you nod.
He’s slow when he places his hand on your knees, rubbing up, up, up until he’s able to lift himself and hover over you. He intentionally pushes your dress up your thighs, solely because he wanted to see you rub them together in full, shameless view for him. He wants to know what his body does for you. What it does to you.
And he stands, hovering over you for a moment with his hands glued to your thighs before he stares down at them. You just do as he expected, you rub your legs together, you look anywhere but at his eyes now, your hands grip the couch beneath you.
“I’m going to get on top of you,” Jake says now, dipping his head into your line of sight and forcing eye contact again, now gripping the back of the couch rather than your thighs, Just as he did when all of this started. “Would you like that?”
“Do you do this for all of your clients?” You suddenly ask with a smaller voice than you gave him upon opening your door. You breathe in sharply when he moves instead of answering your question immediately.
He spreads his legs, propping himself right on your lap, facing towards you, letting you feel the warmth of his chest radiating near your face.
“What kind of answer are you looking for?” He laughs fondly, grabbing your hands and placing them on his chest. “You should touch me, by the way.” He foregoes his own rule with that one, not wanting to wait any longer for you to maybe ask him yourself. “Just pull away if you don’t want to.” He adds, guiding your hands over his chest and down his abdomen.
“You didn’t answer my question–” You interrupt him, feeling the warmth pool and drip into your panties. “It’s a yes or no question.”
He chuckles sweetly, stopping your hands at his abs and holding them there.
“No,” he admits, moving his focus to the music now that he’s got your hands on him. “I don’t do this for all of my clients.”
Jake isn’t sure why he does it, but now he can’t bring himself to look at you. The eye contact feels more intimate than it should with you asking him such a question and demanding an answer. Even as he swirls his hips, feeling his clothed cock rub up and against you every few seconds, it feels almost too intimate.
“Oh, yeah?” You nervously chuckle back, feeling his muscles move beneath your hand as he thrusts his hips forward.
“You know,” He mutters, guiding your hands a bit lower despite his own confusion at how much he’s enjoying this moment with you. You feel the cold metal of his belt buckle against your palm and you think he’s going to stop there, like maybe this is just something he does to amp up the show or something, but no. He drags your hand down further until you feel the warmth of his cock under his pants..
Your pulse quickens as your ears start to ring. Your eyes avoid where your hand is right now, taking in a deep breath and looking up at him with question. He’s not looking back though, instead, his head is dropped and he’s staring at his pathetic bulge against your hand. He’s dancing into it, against it.
“I’ve never gotten this hard over a client that doesn’t want me.” He admits shamefully in a pathetic little laugh, bucking against your palm again to the beat of the song. “I can’t tell if I’m doing my job well enough.”
You feel shocked at that. A client that doesn’t want him? Is he fucking insane?! Then again, you need to be honest with yourself sometimes. You’ve tried to appear as uninterested as possible until he started crawling to you. There is clear attraction, obvious needs swirling in the air right now. You force yourself now to look at your hand with the hefty bulge rubbing desperately against it. The sheer size of him is something entirely different from what you were expecting out of him. This feels forbidden.
Wrong, even, But goddamn. The man is masquerading his dance solely so he can fuck against your right now. Maybe you should show some interest.
“You’re doing well, Jake,” You finally mutter to him, the first compliment you’ve given since he got here.
“Yeah?’ He sighs out, relieved as his hips press harder into your palm. Arguably, he’s not even dancing at this point, just trying to get off. “How well?”
Yeah, he’s a little desperate at this point for you to do something on your own. It’s so out of character for him to do all of this just to…well, get off.
“Show me,” He raises his brows, now removing his hands from yours and running them up his chest. His hips continue to move on you, and he watches you as you hold your hand in place. “Come on, the buckle is right there–” he nearly pleads. “You don’t have to be shy.”
Like a book, the two of you read the other at this moment. You’re not a woman of many words and he seems to understand that now, taking your single compliment and running with it. You do as he says, unbuckling his belt and now, sliding your hands up his body to meet his.
“There you go,” He stresses through another relieved sigh. Leaving your hands where they are against his chest and sliding the belt from his loops on his own. He tosses the belt behind him, relishing in that lost look in your eye.
You clearly have no fucking idea what you’re doing, but you seem to like it. And god, does he fucking love it. Especially when he motions his head back down, forcing your hands back to where they belong and helping you unbutton his pants.
“Take it out, go on.” He says in a rush, “I’m asking you to do it.”
To be fair, you’re going to do it despite the nervousness in your gut. It’s been so long since you’ve touched a man, and even longer since you wanted to. You could half argue that you feel like you’re about to lose your virginity right now despite all those hook-ups in college. Still, you don’t even nod at him when you do it. Carefully tugging his pants down and watching the weight of his cock do the rest of the work for you.
His legs spread wider as he points it up at you, a lewd scene, one that feels both disgustingly sexy and very, very, straight forward. You’ve never been like this with any other person. Or rather, no one has ever blatantly shown themselves like this to you.
And still, Jake just looks at you. So much eye contact becoming more and more comfortable as he learns what you seem to like. He can feel the air in your apartment against the head of his cock, the cool air rushing past his shaft and causing him to shiver with a very quiet moan. He still only looks at you during this moment, wondering why you’ve let your hands fall to his thighs. Then he sees a new look in your eyes.
Are you…waiting to be told what to do?
For some reason, he keeps forgetting that you’ve never had a stripper in your home before, let alone been seduced by one. Honestly though, he assumed you’d catch on by the point his cock was out. This isn’t for show anymore, he wants you.
“Touch me?” He asks gently, reaching back down to your hands and urging you to grab his cock. “You don’t even have to move, I can do the rest–” He chokes out a groan mid-sentence as he feels you grasp him in your fist.
Such a silent woman beneath him. He can only read you in specific moments, this one not at all being one of them. You’re hesitant but willing, perhaps? You leave him questioning himself and his own motives, still wondering if that compliment you gave him was genuine or just part of your own little show.
Yet still, you’re gripping him tightly and allow him to focus his hopes. Dancing beautifully into that little circle your hand creates for him. The best part is that when or if he ever actually dances to this song, it’s when he’s blatantly fucking someone. So the movements come naturally, just as they would if your legs were buckling and your pussy was spread open on him. So, basically, this dance is nothing short of fucking your fist, pretending to keep up an act that he so wishes you’d see through.
He keeps his face intense, moving his shoulders and arms as if it’s easy for him to turn the tables and position you to where your legs are on his shoulders and he’s rubbing his cock against your, hopefully, soaked panties.
It’s a struggle though, to not moan out in desperation when you tighten your grip on him. He watches your pupils blow out, and can see the way you’d now probably ask him to do just that. To put it on you, to shove it in you. And so, he slows his hips a bit and catches his breath, staring down at you in wait.
“You’re really expecting me to get off all on my own?” He finally says in an exasperated breath to your stillness and silence. He really is, trying to act as though he can’t see the look in your eyes and how it’s changed since he started dancing. “Baby, don’t you want it?” He adds, now waiting to see if you’ll move your hand away from him.
You don’t though, to his surprise, you actually start moving your hand on him. You’re jerking him off, staring up at him like you want it, squeezing the head of his cock before dragging those pretty fingers back down.
Instantly his eyes roll back. “Fuck, that’s good,” He compliments your hand, shaking a bit and shivering at the fact that you really just did that. “Can I stop pretending that I’m still dancing for you now?”
You find it in yourself to chuckle now, nodding with a confident sort of smile. It hit you fairly quickly, actually, as you watched him chase his pleasure all by himself. He’s so hard, and so incredibly thick in your hand, you’d be stupid to say it didn’t turn you on. It’s that fact that you’ve barely said anything to him and he’s begging you to look at him, to watch him, to touch him. All of your nervousness slowly disappeared because it was being replaced with power.
Now, that, you’re used to. You know what power feels like in all aspects of the working world, but never at home. Never when sex is involved. You’re always expected to play the part of a desperate woman in need of love, and that’s just not you. No, you’re a powerful woman with nerves that could kill you. And the way Jake parallels your working world, it’s almost too perfect. You’re used to men being beneath you, begging for your money, giving you all of their attention, apologizing for normal human errors.
Jake isn’t exactly begging you for money, but he’s still begging for your hands.
“No.” You finally say, relishing in the shock on Jake’s face. “Keep dancing, it’s what you’re being paid to do.”
His eyes fall a bit now as he nods his head. You almost feel his cock falter at the same time at your response, but you move your hand a bit faster. You grip a bit tighter, urging him to do whatever it is that’s on his mind. You want to see if he will actually do as he’s told now, considering you’re the one with the money to bring him back here.
It’s endearing how he does his best, and honestly, his best probably far surpasses some of the most notable dancers on the market if you had any idea of how they were. It’s just a bit hard to continue this act for him when you’re gripping his cock in such a beautiful way.
“You’re–” He pauses to hold in a moan, feeling the way you drag your hand in time with his dance. “You’re not going to ask me to touch you?” He finally adds, meeker than before, far less confidence.
In fact, he’s hiding his face.
You smile in response, looking up at him with dark and wide pupils as you swallow each movement his body makes for you. Your ears are still ringing, unable to comprehend the music blasting in your sound system. Your focus is solely on him, your hands are on him, your confidence is because of him.
The answer to that question should be a given, after all, shouldn’t he be well aware considering this little stunt he pulled that actions truly speak louder than words?
“No wonder she liked you so much.” You start, now loosening your grip on him just to see the way his hips frantically chase the warmth of your palm.
“Wait–” He asks slightly out of breath, cheeks flushed and bashful. “You really thought, I let her get me off like this?”
It almost pisses him off that you’d say that to him, then again, it’s not like you knew that this specific instance is rare and reserved for very few clients.
“You couldn’t even look at me properly thirty minutes ago, now you think you can make assumptions?” He argues, pushing away from you.
Your response is skewing an eyebrow at him, watching him fight for control as he pulls his hips back and shuffles off of you and onto his feet. You glance down at his cock and the way it stands painfully erect, twitching at the sudden lack of friction.
“Is it wrong to assume when you very clearly want me to make you cum?”
He stills himself, a blank expression turning to that of a devilish smile, eyes narrowing at you as he leans over you.
“Are you suggesting that you’ll get me off?”
You smile, spreading your legs a bit and feeling the stickiness drip through your panties now.
“She did tell me that some clients have gotten special treatment from you,” You mock him slightly, watching his eyes glue themselves to your thighs. You make a show to spread your legs a bit for him. “I also know that she was no such client.”
A small moment of silence as he devours you with his eyes, seemingly interested in the attitude you have towards him now.
“I also didn’t imagine your clients would be the ones getting you off.”
Honestly, it’s like he hit the fucking jackpot with you. Challenging him, mocking him with his cock out in front of you. If you so much as wiggled your cunt in front of him, he would instantly be back on his knees, letting you soak his face in whatever way you please.
“Normally they’d be jumping at the chance, you though–” Jake very nearly growls at you with a deepened voice. “You look like you’re the one who needs to get off, if anything to get that snarky grin off your face.”
“Go on then, dance.”
It’s almost like a game now, he feels. You know he’s trying to seduce you and it seems you’re enjoying the fact that you haven’t let him yet. He knows that you intend to let him, so yeah, fuck yeah, he’s going to play along.
He raises a brow at you as he steps back once more, trying to ignore the fact that his cock is aching to be touched again. You still want your show? Good. He’ll fucking give you a show.
Jake does as he’s told, finally kicking his pants off in full and keeping his eyes on you the entire time. He watches the way your legs spread when he rubs his hands down his naked chest, straight down to his cock where he only briefly tugs at himself. He can almost see under your dress as you continue to spread your legs more and more, but the lighting is far too dim to see what his act is doing to you just yet.
When he saunters behind you, dipping his head by your neck and whispering the dirtiest part of the song into your ear, he can see your sharp intake of air, and he watches the way your breasts move with each breath he forces out of you, and the way your nipples perk through the fabric.
So, he stays here behind you with his hips pressed to the back of your couch, ghosting his hands over your neck, moving down your arms, and then to your chest. He doesn’t touch, because you still haven't asked yet, but he knows hovering alone is enough. It’s like he can feel the electricity beneath his fingers somehow reaching your skin.
And he continues to sing against your ear, leaning further forward to plant his hands on your thighs again, mostly because he’s already been given permission to touch you there.
“More,” He gently demands between lyrics. “Spread them all the way.”
Jake watches for a moment from behind you, pressing his cock against the back of the couch the moment he sees your legs stretch open, your dress hiking up past your waist, enough now that he can at least see a glimpse of the skin closest to your pussy.
“Ask me to touch you.” He pleads against your ear, trailing his fingers up your thighs enough to where he would need you to tell him to stop otherwise. “Just tell me you want it.”
It’s silent save for the music playing, and his cock is aching so badly by this point that each time he rubs against the couch he’s almost breaking down to fucking beg you to let him touch you. That alone could make him cum, but god, you’re so good at playing hard to get even if it’s blatantly obvious that he’s already got you.
You’re fucking playing with him, and he can’t decide if he loves it or hates it.
Your silence is so damning to his dripping cock, and his skin feels so hot right now that he’s almost forgotten that he was paid to be doing anything that’s not this.
“No.” You playfully respond, dangling yourself just out of reach. You breathe in deep though, knowing you can’t keep denying him for much longer with the way his hands are rubbing at you. “I like it better when you’re the one asking for it.” You lean your head back and rest it against the cushions of the couch, and he instantly moves from your neck to look down at you.
Oh.
“Cute.” He says, having no issue at all to be the one to ask, beg, plead, or cry. Whatever it takes to get a feel of you at this point. It’s justnew to him.
Another long moment of eye contact has him trailing his hands higher than before, almost to the point that there’s no skin on your thighs to touch that doesn’t involve your panty line.
“May I?” He asks, leaning down a bit closer so that his face is mere inches from yours. “Will you take my fingers?”
You could mistake this distance as something that should not be crossed between the two of you. Barely hearing his question at this moment, the only thing you want to do is to kiss him, and it hit you so fucking fast that you almost forgot he’s doing anything you ask of him.
“Come again?” You smile, blinking up at him.
He breathes in, seemingly frustrated.
“My fingers. Take them.” He says rather than asking this time, already moving his hands to trace up your panties and feeling the wetness seep through onto his fingertips. “You’re already dripping–baby,” He stops to moan at it, amazed by how fucking soaked you are. “I can imagine they’d slide right in.”
Typically, you wouldn’t allow anyone to call you that. “Baby.” but coming from his mouth, it sounds fitting. It sounds seductive, sexy. It has your stomach in knots, actually, your hips bouncing up just slightly at his words with the pet name attached. Finally, you let him. Finally, you grind yourself against his fingers.
“I’ll make you feel so good–” He groans at your movements, loving how desperate you suddenly appear despite pretending you weren’t going to work for your own pleasure. He continues to trace his fingers up and down just to feel the mess of you, the one that he created, and the one that he intends to make messier.
“Moving your hips isn’t the answer though, baby.”
You swear he can read your mind, there’s no fucking way he would say it like that without knowing how you just internally admitted to liking it.
“Yes,” You let out shortly, darting your eyes away from him. “I’ll take them.”
That breathy laugh he releases sounds sweet, almost dripping like syrup when he lays his head beside your neck. His soft singing picks back up as he listens to you now more than the music, his fingers continuously ghosting where he promised to put them, not yet moving your panties.
Paired with it, his abdomen stays tense as he humps against your couch, his muscles locking up at the pleasure running through him in this position. Your hips lightly chase his fingers, up when his fingers move down, and he can’t help the shy smile that spreads across his lips. It’s one you don’t see, but the constant shift in your personality is something that keeps him on edge. Keeps him wanting more, to know more, to see and feel more of you.
And when he finally reaches around you with his other hand, pulling your panties to the side and exposing your pussy, he watches you take over for him and push them down instead, offering far more than he anticipated. He watches as you kick them off your ankles almost elegantly, as if you could do this job of dancing better than he can.
“Eager?” He teases, knowing you won’t respond to that. And you don’t. It pleases him to know that at least by now, he can kind of read you. Yet, still, there’s nothing more at this moment that would please him more than getting to see you in full. To wander back around this couch and get a real good, close up look at what he’s doing to you.
“You’re so wet right now.” He groans, knowing that you were soaked before and only hoping you’re dripping more and more for him now. His cock is weeping as much as he’d like for you to be, chasing any amount of friction he could have. And he can see his fingers slip and slide through your slick into places he wasn’t even attempting to touch just yet solely because of how wet you are.
“You held out for so long,” He coos now with a soft breath against your neck, feeling your cheek nuzzle against his flexing arm. “Look at that,” Two of his fingers tease at your hole before– “they slipped right in.”
Your breathing is labored by this point, feeling him play with you as if he has all the time in the world to fuck with your head. Which is…nice. No rushing despite the time limit on his session, proving time and time again that you’re getting more than others get from him. Lucky you, that you can moan out without shame for him.
And you do, grabbing his hand and practically fucking yourself with his fingers. That takes him by surprise as the warmth and sheer tightness envelopes his digits. You are excruciatingly sexy to him, he doesn’t even attempt to stop you.
In fact, he doesn’t even hold back now, meeting each chase of your hips with the force of his fingers plunging into you deeply, with full intention. He scissors them open, feeling your hole stretch around them beautifully enough to fit in a third. And god, you’re so fucking wet. He can hear the slapping of his soaked fingers inside of you pushing more and more of that arousal out.
He moans blatantly against your ear now, easing you into talking back to you.
“Bet you could take cock so well–” He murmurs, feeling you shiver against his grasp. “How long has it been? Hm?”
He’s talking to you, yes, but hyping himself up at the same time. The scent of your hair forcing a slight obsession with you in his mind. The way you feel, look, smell, move when you’re just inches from him like this. He knows you won’t respond to a goddamn thing he says too, but it doesn’t matter too much to him at this point. Because now, you’re whimpering.
Such a confident, well respected woman…fucking whimpering.
“What was that?” He asks playfully, running his other hand up your body until he gets to your neck. “Has it been that long?”
And for the first time, you were going to answer. For the first time, he doesn’t leave room for you to answer. Instead, you feel his palm resting flush against your neck, now pressing in and practically holding you down by the neck as he fucks his fingers into you faster.
Painfully faster.
“Cry for me again,” He encourages you, wincing as his own hips frantically chase the back of your couch. “You’re allowed, come on, do it again.”
And because he’s working for it, because he’s doing so fucking well, you let out another choked moan. His hand straining your neck so tightly that any sound coming out sounds strained and desperate, even the sound of yourself right now ignites a fire inside of you. You can feel that grasp tighten each time his fingers fuck into you with a painful jab, his palm placed so perfectly that you can feel your clit being rubbed each time he pulls his hand back.
It’s…overwhelming.
“Yes, fuck- again.” He groans, bucking his hips forward and frantically lifting his head from your shoulder, all so he can look down at you. He’s heard you, now he wants to fucking see how desperate you are when you cry out.
When you open your eyes again, wincing every few seconds at both the pleasure and pain of his desperate hands, all you can see is his face. All you can feel are those same long fingers threatening more and more cries from your chest. He’s hitting spots inside of you that haven't been touched in a long time. Feeling it now almost burns, even with the cold metal of that single ring on his finger against your neck.
And when he tightens that hand on your neck once more, not only do you cry out, but he matches you with his own stuttered gasp. You strain to keep your eyes on him through this moment, watching the way his teeth appear to scrape at his bottom lip when the sound of you envelopes his ears. So, you do it again, and again, and again.
His fingers only continue their aggressive assault inside of you, his palms still hitting your clit, and that other hand around your throat…honestly? You could fucking sing songs to him at this moment if he so wished it.
“You’re shaking.” He comments, eyes flicking to your body. “Can you even breathe right now?”
His smile looks so fucking mean, knowing full well that you can’t breathe and only tightening his hand harder against your throat. Nevermind the fact that you never discussed this type of thing with him, fucking wasn’t even in the agenda. But now? Fuck it. You do like it. Maybe you even love it. The way you’re moaning for him is all either of you need to know.
This time though, when you moan out and it’s sounding particularly raspy, he releases his hand from your throat and instantly leans down to your lips. He’s a bit shocked that you immediately strain your neck to kiss him. What he was going to do was degrade you. Now though, he’s just tasting the way you’re so desperate to kiss him. As if you’re wanting this to be real, to be intimate.
Arguably, your idea was better than his own because now he can’t bring himself to degrade you. In fact, he was stupid to even consider such a fucking thing. Despite never kissing his clients, things with you have already lasted far longer than he’d normally allow. Things have already surpassed the intimacy level he allows too, even with the very few lucky women who get to touch him. He’s never asked for it, and he’s never gotten this much of his own pleasure out of finger fucking them. Not once has he ever fucked himself against a couch to hold himself back for a woman either.
Maybe just this once, he can want it to be real too. Even if he leaves with a pocket full of cash, the fantasy right now is enough for him to accept it as is. If you want him to kiss you, he will fucking kiss you.
His pupils grow as his eyes close, slowing his fingers unintentionally as he focuses on your lips and tongue. Even his body against your couch relaxes and his hips slow to that of a sensual thrust forward, one that offers a long and painful drag against his already raw and reddened cock. You kiss him back better than he’s even been kissed before, and falling into it was terrifyingly easy.
His brain nearly short circuits at the softness of it, allowing his hands to move on their own accord, cupping your jaw with one hand and emptying your pussy to rub your clit with the other. He’s intentionally deepening the kiss far past his own comfort level.
But he is comfortable, and that’s precisely what’s uncomfortable about it.
“You can take it–” Jake mutters between kisses, more focused on your lips than the words he spilling to you. “You want more, right?” He continues, only now pulling back in a breath and waiting for you to adjust your eyes on his.
Immediately, when you open your eyes they widen at him. Goddamn, was he this sexy before? Did he even look this into you when he was on your lap fucking your fist? Out of all of his begging, this…this right here. Are you really about to fuck a stripper? The man you were so against meeting just this morning? The man who has $600 in his bank account from your lovely, fucking adored and beautiful best friend?
The man that you’re probably going to give the entirety of the contents in your purse to the moment he packs up and moves on as if this never happened?
Yes.
“I want more–” You say to him, blinking at his pretty eyes and intentionally rubbing your clit against his fingers, mostly because it appears as if he’s stopped functioning all together.
And before you can even blink, his fingers are pulled away and his presence is gone. You lift your head to watch him, cock still erect and heavy against his thigh as he goes directly to his bag. As if he knew it was going to happen, as if this was his plan before he even met you, he pulls out a condom and slips it on without so much as a sigh of relief.
After all, he does have to take precautions to be fucking an absolute stranger like this.
“Oh.” You huff in disappointment, not entirely meaning for him to hear it.
He raises his eyes to you as he pulls at the end of the condom, offering plenty of space for whatever release he intends to have soon, but his eyes don’t seem concerned nor bothered.
“What? You want it raw?” He asks playfully, wiggling his eyebrows briefly before making his way back to you. “That’ll require a bit more discussion, you know.”
Discussion that neither of you are willing to have solely because your pussy is throbbing and his cock appears to be more pathetic than it already was being strangled in that thin layer of latex. And without another word, allowing both of you to put that to rest for now, he’s right back over you, lifting your dress up and off of you.
“Fuck.” He breathes out as your tits falls from their perfect place within the dress. The sopping wet couch beneath you only soaking up more of your slick as his words force more out of you. God, you feel so wanted.
You keep your arms lifted to help him ease the dress entirely off of you, leaving you bare beneath him as he instantly goes to grab both tits, pressing them together before flicking both nipples with the tips of his fingers.
Your body jolts at the sensation, feeling it run through you and swell your clit more than it already was. The ache is worse, your hole is pulsing, yearning, wanting to be filled. Still though, he takes his precious expensive time, leaning down and sucking one erect nub into his mouth and flicking it all the same with his tongue.
“Right here?” He mouths from around your tit, eyes closed and tongue still focused elsewhere. “You want to be fucked here?” He mumbles again, realizing that his question will likely go unanswered. It’s very likely that he is going to fuck you right here, on your living room couch. Asking you such a thing was stupid, borderline cringe-worthy.
To his surprise though, you lend him a small “no.” as you lace your fingers in his hair, pushing his lips to your other nipple just to feel the warmth of his tongue.
“No?” He questions, blinking up at you from your chest before biting gently around the sensitive bud against his mouth. “Where then?”
To his dismay, your smile is still beautiful but the way you close your legs and sit yourself up from the slouched, relaxed position you were in disappoints him. Mostly because he’s now forced to stand up too, and even more so because he has to keep his head dipped in order to keep his mouth on that perfect nipple of yours.
His disappointment fades as you hold his head there, feeling your legs almost buckle against him when he moans around it, sending vibrations through your chest. You remain gentle though, wobbling on your legs and shuffling forward, allowing him to continue his antics. Slowly but surely, you turn him around and back him up against the couch.
Only now, when you push him back and his teeth graze your sensitive nub do you realize that he’s so, so much needier than you expected. Even with his begging, his little disappointed sound didn’t go unnoticed. His brows are still furrowed now, not even paying attention to the fact that you’ve just shoved him down so that you can be the one straddling him. It’s cute, actually. Noticing how he was so intimidating when he came into your house, walking with confidence, dancing with intention, finger fucking you and choking you as if he had a right to do it…only to now look at him and the way he’s melting.
The way he’s needy, borderline puppy-like to be near you.
His eyebrows shoot up from that little face of disappointment though, when you pull yourself from his mouth and instead plant yourself right on his lap, letting your pussy lips envelope the underside of his cock as you grind up immediately.
It’s the first slippery touch his cock has felt all night and honestly? He’s been on edge this entire time. You grind so fucking beautifully, and it’s a first for him to realize that he’s entirely speechless.
You’ve rendered him incapable of speaking.
“You’re cute, I don’t think you realize that.” You comment, gliding against his cock and watching his hands reach out to grip your waist, “Really cute.”
He doesn’t falter at your compliments, instead he just melts into it even more. His cheeks are permanently blushed as he leans forward to try and get your tits in his face again, and all you can do is grip his hair and let him. It’s been a long time since you’ve felt the head of a cock bumping your clit, and you’d never forgive yourself for not letting yourself have this kind of fun more often.
And Jake just gets whinier. His cock pulses and twitches to be inside of you all the while despite the discomfort of that latex layer likely needing to be replaced already. Still, his hands keep moving your waist, pushing and pulling you faster against him until– ah.
You angle yourself perfectly when he slides your upwards again. All you had to do was perk your ass out and wait for him to push you back down. Finally, he slides in without fully realizing that’s what was going to happen, and goddamn the sound he makes, fuck.
“Mmfuck,” He winces, digging his nails into your hips at the speed of which he bottomed out. The breath is knocked out of him and all you can do is stare down. Look at him now, so docile and sweet like he wasn’t fucking your livingroom floor prior to this.
And the grip of you on him, so strong. The slide was so easy, so fast, that he genuinely is seeing stars at how good you feel wrapped around him. The velvet walls inside of you pulsing, pushing and squeezing his cock all over. He can’t help the sounds he makes, grunting and feeling that grip you have in his hair intensify his pleasure.
Both of you now let out a long winded breathy groan at the sensation of your body adjusting to his, in all fairness, you had to grip onto something and his hair just so happened to be the best thing at the moment. He seems to love it though, so when you finally regain your senses of being absolutely fucking full, you pull at it again, tilting his head back so that you can see the expanse of his neck and the way it moves when he swallows.
“Bounce.” He croaks out at you, eyes glistening with pure fucking hope that you will.
And, well…when you feel his length pulse in place inside of you, you do exactly as he asked. You bounce, taking his full, thick cock each and every time. Not allowing a single inch of it to be neglected. All he can do in response is squint, trying to keep his eyes open through each breathy groan of praise and encouragement. He does lose himself entirely to the feeling of euphoria and the pain of how harshly you keep his head tilted back.
He really didn’t think you could get any sexier, honestly, and as far as he’s concerned…if he moves right now he’s going to cum. So, he doesn’t. Instead, he just lazily smiles at you and lets his eyes finally close so that he can fall right back into the state of seeing nothing but stars.
Frustrated, yet incredibly turned on by the way you’ve just completely lost him, you bounce harder, then you sit flush against him, twisting and swirling your hips. Grinding forward back, counting how he moans each time you do something that feels particularly sensitive for him. And you hang onto that, repeating those actions, lifting your ass and sliding back down. Again and again, until your legs shake and your fingers threaten to pull his hair too hard.
“Look at you now,” You half-chuckle out of breath, hearing the wet slaps of skin on skin paired with his blatant and sensual moans drowning out the playlist that has been long forgotten. “You can’t even move.”
All he does is nod his head, that same lazy and cocky smile appears as if to insinuate that you’re damn fucking right he can’t. Like he’s proud of it. And you’re not going to ignore the fact that his hands are still on your waist either, gripping onto you so tightly that you fear he could draw blood if you move the wrong way.
“Keep going, baby–” He somehow manages to say to you. “Don’t stop.”
There it is. This entire time he’s been begging to fuck you, and now he’s finally begging you to fuck him. His voice still sounds like honey, with that impressively hard cock inside of you pulsing so constantly that you could probably feel him in your stomach if you were to press against it.
“Mhm,” You answer him, promising that you won’t stop through just a half-moan and a long winded intake of air. Honestly? At this very moment, you feel like you’re sitting on a throne. Jake, obviously, being said throne but whatever. The fucking power he’s making you feel is nothing short of alluring.
And now, as that power goes to your head, you opt to grind rather than bounce for him now. Your hips aren’t as erratic, yet still he tenses up for you, forcing his cock to somehow feel even harder as you fuck it into yourself through lazy drags of your clit against his pelvis.
If you keep going like this, you could cum in an instant. But before you can even finish that thought, you look down at him on instinct due to his sudden silence.
His eyes are squeezed shut tightly, and his mouth is open in a silent moan. You can see that he’s not breathing, seemingly holding his breath even after you release his hair. His head lolls back with that same expression, and that’s when you feel his fingernails dig.
“Oh,” You moan, now resuming your grinding much harder now, making a point to bump your clit repeatedly against him. “Fuck, are you cumming right now?”
Still he doesn’t respond, you can only feel his hips stutter under you despite trying to remain entirely still and stiff for you. You know that now is when you need to be chasing, because you’ll be damned if you’re not going to cum with him inside of you.
You want to be full like this, you want to squeeze him, to play with his sensitive cock even if it starts to soften. He’s too pretty, too fucking pretty when he whimpers. And so, you continue grinding, up until you’re on the brink of your orgasm but not quite there yet. To the point his cock is only half in you with the way you’re angling your clit against him, chasing your own high so aggressively that you barely feel his fingers tightening on you again.
Jake shoots his head back up, eyes opening as the sensitivity hits him quicker than he would have liked, but you don’t relent. The pain is intense from how hard you’re riding him, but he can see how close you are, the image alone compliments that sensitivity he’s feeling right now.
He seethes out painful praises to you as your desperate cunt finally reaches orgasm, squeezing against his softening length so tightly that he can’t help but whimper with you. Still, he studies your face through his own winces, shuddering at the way you close your legs around him despite them being forced to stay open in this position. You try to curl into the pleasure, as if you wish you could disappear completely alongside it.
And god, the way you grip at his arms for leverage as you shake through it. Dare he say…he’s fond of you. It still hurts, but it kind of hurts more when he knows it’s over. Mostly because it feels like he’s been in this room with you for days, knowing that’s not true. Surely he’s stayed longer than your allotted time with him, but you seemed to have given him something worth staying for at least.
When you slump over him, he almost wants to cry from how fucking sensitive he is right now. Thankfully, you seem sensitive too as you wince before he does, remaining as gentle as you can when you reach down to the base of his cock and hold the condom, allowing him to slide out of you at his own pace.
And then, the playlist comes to an abrupt end at just the wrong moment, because it forces Jake to realize that he hadn’t stayed at all over his paid time frame. Now, all he can hear is the way his breath is entirely too uneven compared to any of his sessions with prior clients like this. He’s breathing much too fondly for you, or rather, not breathing well because of you. He can’t just…go home can he?
“You okay?” You ask to the slight panicked look on his face, seeing how he stares straight up at the ceiling, not blinking, no readable expression. “Jake?”
He shakes himself out of it, eyes slowly moving and blinking to look at you.
“That–” He tries to talk, genuinely, he does. “Um…”
The change in atmosphere almost freaks you out. Isn’t this what he wanted? You saw the way he lost himself there briefly though, you can admit. None of this was even that rough or kinky, so you’re a bit confused as to why he’s acting like this.
Maybe you even feel a bit guilty. Like you’re the problem. So, you silence yourself and lift onto weak legs to stumble and find your dress. You throw it on quickly, hiding your shame that he so wanted to see just fifteen minutes ago. Then, you head for your purse and grab every single bill you have folded neatly inside.
Just like that, you place the money in his shaking hand and can’t bare to look at him.
“Wha-” He starts, licking his dried lips and sitting up a bit too quickly. “Why are you giving me so much?”
“It’s your tip.” You try to say casually as you clear your throat. “You can shower too, if you’d like.”
Jake holds his breath, hoping you don’t genuinely think he did all of that for the money. He was already paid to be here, the whole…you know, fucking thing, was his doing. What happened was because he wanted it, and…he still does. Are you truly just strictly back to business like this? You literally just handed him his rent for the month and then some, it kind of amazes him. The audacity. As if he’s never been handed handsome sums of cash from drunken lonely women. You aren’t a woman who needs him, and yet you pay like you did.
“Shower with me?” He forces himself to ask, because he knows he’ll regret it if he doesn’t. After all, this tip feels like a rejection of what just happened. Hush money, even.
He doesn’t know what just crept into this room through the fucking silence, but he doesn’t like it. And it seems you don’t either, because you instantly comfort him with a smile and a step forward.
・・・・・・・・・・・・・・
He didn’t intend to spend the night, free of charge no less, but he did. All of that including some embarrassing talk involving the seriousness of how this is not normal for him.
Surprisingly, you believe him.
After the shower, the mood had shifted into something that felt natural and less rehearsed. He wasn’t just some stripper you could call over with a downpayment of $600, he was Jake, a man trying to make ends meet in a city far too expensive even for you if you’re being honest.
Jake, a man wanted by several women. You, on the other hand, feel the need to mend your lonely and stone-cold heart with him, however much that may cost. Not to fall in love, or to fill any type of voice. If anything, you want to be taken care of in specific ways, and you’d like to take care of him in turn.
So, when he grimaced at your joke, saying that he would practically be your sugar baby and that you’d run off all of his other business out of need to continuously be fucked by him and him alone, you almost stopped pressing the matter.
Because you would run off all his clients solely for keeping him too busy with you to go to them. You would be paying him every time, making damn sure he’s well taken care of and financially stable.
Jake did notice how you looked disappointed, quickly backtracking his grimace.
“Wait, you’re serious?”
You nod shyly, blinking at him.
“It’s not like we have to sleep together every time, you won’t even have to dance for me anymore.” You argue, knowing that’s at least a half-lie. “All I ask is that you don’t fuck your other clients if you’re still seeing me, and intending to..you know–”
Jake nods happily, without question even.
“So, what happens if I’m horny and you’re not available then?”
You narrow your eyes at him.
“Jerk off like a normal person?”
Fair enough.

it had been two days since you last talked to matt. you didn’t want to admit the fact that him sleeping with another girl pissed you off. you didn’t want it to mess with you as bad as it did.
with you and matt being apart you realized how much you pained in his absence. how you ached for his touch. you would do anything to hear his voice, his laugh, even his moans and whimpers. you missed everything.
it didn’t take long for nate to notice something was wrong. he wasn’t going to push you, but he didn’t like seeing you like this, so after you came home from class one day he decided to check on you.
“hi.” nate said standing at your door, not moving so he doesn’t strike a nerve.
“uhhh hi?”
“are you um.. like okay?” he leaned against your door frame.
you sat up on your bed and crossed your legs, pulling a pillow to your chest, “i don’t know.”
“you know you can talk to me right?”
“no” you said half joking
“cmon don’t be a smart ass, i’m here for you y/n. you can talk to me about whatever is wrong.” he said tilting his head.
seeing your brother desperate for a reason as to why your acting so off broke your heart. you wanted so badly to tell him, to confess all your actions and sob to him about his horrible friend.
“i..” you start thinking about if you really want to risk matt losing his best friend, and your brother hating you, “i don’t think you wanna hear what’s wrong.”
“what is it a boy?” he asked chuckling
“um yeah actually,” it wasn’t a lie but somehow felt like it.
“oh, well you don’t need a boyfriend anyways.” he said shrugging
“it wasn’t a boyfriend nate,” you said your voice starting to tremble
“you wanted him to be?” he said hesitantly taking a step into your room
you thought about the question for a second. you yourself didn’t know the answer to the question. you knew you had a crush on matt, you had ever since your were little, but a relationship? you had always thought of it more as ‘friends with benefits’ but the more you thought about it, the more you realize how intense your feelings for him were.
“are you like in love or something?” he asked breaking the silence from his previous question.
were you in love with matt?? you didn’t think you were. i mean, he’s a fuckboy and your brothers best friend. sure you guys had amazing sex, you love his dick, the noises he makes, how dominant he is, and how good he was at it. sure he was funny, you loved his corny pick up lines, his stupid jokes, and his laugh. sure he was a good person, you loved how deeply he cares for his brothers, how he would listen to you anytime you were upset, and how well he treated your brother. you loved everything about matt, but you weren’t in love with matt, were you??
“i don’t know” you simply replied to your brother.
“well do you wanna go for a drive?? clear your mind??” nate suggests
“sure. thanks.” you smiled up at him. he just nodded at your turning around to walk out of your room.
“i’ll be in the car.”
matt’s pov
the truth was, being away from her fucking sucked. i wanted to text, but i didn’t want to push her. i only hooked up with another girl to hide my feelings from myself. having feelings for someone wasn’t normal for me. usually i can fuck someone without catching feelings easily, so when i realized i felt something for y/n, i fucking someone else to get her out of my head.
fucking someone else only managed to make things worse. the whole time all i could think about was her. no one felt like her, sounds like her, tastes like her. she was unique. she was herself, and that was what i liked about her.
the past two days i spent trying to get her out of my mind, but everything reminded me of her. something as simple as her favorite show coming on the tv would fuck with my mood. i tried seeing other girls, but i couldn’t bring myself to even touch anyone else. it all felt to weird, weird it wasn’t her i was touching.
nate had told me that she was acting different. that she wasn’t coming out of her room, and wasn’t really talking to anyone. that broke my heart. she’s hurting because of me. i hurt her. i hated that, but what i hated more was i couldn’t bring myself to apologize.
i was seated one the couch of a party, alone. i wasn’t particularly looking for anyone to hook up with, so when a girl came up and planted herself on my lap i thought about turning her away, but i didn’t. it felt weird, almost like i was cheating even though i knew i wasn’t. knowing how bad she was already hurting made it feel like i was doing something wrong, even though i knew i wasnt. but was i?
“you got a girlfriend or something, baby?” she whispered in my ear
“no”
“then touch me.” she said grinding herself on me.
she leaned down placing a kiss on my lips. she deepened the kiss, grazing her tongue on my bottom lip. she pushed her tongue into my mouth, trying to fight for dominance, but i barley reciprocated so she easily won. the only thing i could think of was wishing it was y/n.
“yo yo yo” i heard a familiar voice say. i pulled away searching for nate. i found him greeting our other friends before he spotted me.
“yo what’s up, matt.” he said dabbing me up.
when i looked behind him i saw her. staring at me, staring at the girl on me. she watched her hands explore my body, snaking up into my hair, falling onto my chest. she leaned in to kiss me again, but i swerved her only being able to focus my attention on y/n.
“are you in love with her or something? i thought you didn’t have a girlfriend?” the girl spoke up staring over at y/n
her question hit me like a truck. i never missed a girl this much in my life, i never felt sad over a girls absence, but for some reason i wanted her to come back to me like crazy.
i tried my best to hide these feelings from myself, but i couldn’t. i loved the way her hair smelt, the way her eyes crinkle when she laughs, the way she tenses up under my touch. sure i loved certain things about her, but i wasn’t in love with her. was i?
y/n looked like she had seen a ghost. it was like she snapped out of a trance, and she suddenly booked it for the front door. i pushed the girl off me and ran after her, but by the time i got to the front door, she was no where to be found. she wasn’t outside, in the bathrooms, up stairs, downstairs, gone. fuck
xoxo, isa

✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
“I never really understood the appeal of a secret relationship until now,” You glanced over to Bucky, “It’s kinda invigorating.”
He smirked, his lazy smile matching his relaxed figure—sprawled on the bed next to you. “Invigorating, huh?”
He had rushed over the night before, getting back to the compound and waiting for a good time to slyly step out. It became habit; he would say that he was coming back from a run in the mornings. If he ever was caught in the evening, he’d simply went on one of many errand trips.
The truth was, that people didn’t really notice him. Bucky Barnes could sneak out and back in relatively unchecked save for Steve. Even then, Bucky’s elusive nature made it easy for people to stop asking after a while. He knew the underlying issue was that they would never truly separate who he was with who he is now. It was okay, though, because he had you. Thats all that mattered.
Peoples’ concern for Bucky’s wellbeing and whereabouts dwindled—figuring he could handle himself. He loved that when everyone else could simply shut their minds off to the thought of a rehabilitated solider—you accepted him with warmth. That affection would never truly be lost on him.
You turned over in your bed, observing Bucky’s features. You couldn’t help the way your entire face upturned—truly invigorated by the sight.
He noticed your stare in his peripheral, “Like what you see?”
“Oh, please.” A pillow found its way in your grip, playfully smacking Bucky in his face. You quickly moved to leap off of the bed, but the attempt was futile, of course. The man had been able to lean over and grab you before you could even process the movement—pushing you firmly into the mattress. Without missing a beat, he leaned in to kiss you—smiling into it. His metal hand found a grip on your neck, just under your chin, and pulled you up into him. The pressure was delicate—the inherent weight of him using this arm not lost on either of you. The coolness spurred you on. Your arms snaked around his back and tightened at the feeling of his skin on yours; you’d never truly gotten used to the feeling.
It was an honor, truly, to be loved by James Barnes. It was even more so to love him. When you were able to bask in the morning sun like this, to kiss him like he could disappear, you never took it for granted.
The kiss quickly became overwhelming. Thoughts of the man filled your mind—mostly of how lucky you felt. Even more common at times like these was to feel as if you weren’t deserving…despite him constantly saying otherwise. He made sure to tell you daily, if not more often, that being a secret was to keep you safe. He couldn’t chance losing you, he’d say. He couldn’t live without you.
But something else clawed at your skull, telling you that maybe you just weren’t enough—that you didn’t look the way you should.
You pulled away, looking between his eyes. He was completely in a daze—lips reddened and swollen so quickly. A blush feathered its way over his cheeks, then, watching you look at him so intensely.
He swallowed, “What?” He pecked your lips quickly. “Am I just that good at kissing that you’re mesmerized by my talents?”
An involuntary huff escaped you and you quickly forgot that fleeting thought of inadequacy. You mirrored his smile before playfully pushing him off of you, finally moving off of the bed and toward the kitchen.
Bucky had a charismatic way about him that could be mistaken for immature. You knew better, though. In his new life he adopted optimism—a way to combat the thoughts he had. Feelings of his still being a horrible man. That he would never escape being an assassin. So when he looked at you and saw a growing somber look on your face, he didn’t expect the worst. He should’ve.
After some time passed, Bucky emerged from your bedroom. You gave him a quick look over the brim of your cup, sipping on your tea. You made a show of observing how he’d freshened up and changed into his signature dark clothing. The sight of Alpine snuggling up to his boot had you cheesing then.
He stalked over to you, planting a kiss on your cheek. “Gonna go stop by my place and get a few things…figured she would like the trip.” He leaned down to scoop up his cat. “Should probably also grab more of her food.” He motioned toward the now empty tupperware he had made into a makeshift transport for when the both of them would stay at your place.
“No worries. I should be tidying up around here anyways.” You reached up to hug him, leaving space for Alpine between you.
“I’ll be seeing ya, doll.”
You pushed into his shoulder at his silly remark, but decided to play along. “Be seeing ya, too, Sarge.”
With that he turned to leave—the white cat perched comfortably on his shoulder now.
The sound of the door closing immediately made you turn to survey your apartment. It wasn’t too bad—but could easily take a few hours to freshen up if you made a day of it. With a nod, you began tidying and cleaning to pass the time—occasionally checking your phone for a text or call from Bucky.
It was only way into the night that you began to get anxious. You knew about his job; at one moment there could be nothing and the next a universal threat they had to combat. You tried not to jump to worry, but it was so unlike him. There’d been times like this, where he would disappear. You would take the time, giving him space he probably needed—only to find him holed up in his apartment in the worst condition he’d ever been in. Images of him contracted in on himself and shoved into a dark corner played in your mind. You had to go check, to be sure.
Throwing on a matching sweat set, you shoved your phone and keys into your pocket, quickly making the trek to his place. It wasn’t far, but it wasn’t exactly close. For some reason you made the decision to walk there—the franticness and burn in your legs making the distance seem even larger.
Your chest burned, heaving as you turned the corner. The building came into view, finally. You quickly swiped the extra card he’d given you to enter the building. Every step felt like a march toward complete devastation. Your hands opened and shut, grasping at your hoodie. The elevator ride was torturous. You weren’t sure how you’d find him—the thought alone was driving you up a wall.
As you approached his door, your pace slowed. You dug into your pocket again, reaching for his key on your keychain. Just above the gasps of your breath you heard shuffling in his place—causing you to still. You were sure the expression on your face was one of confusion, wondering why he’d not let you know he got here at least. Just as you went to call his name, a voice spoke, muffled by the closed door. Without a thought, you leaned in at the sound—growing more cautious and remembering just how much Bucky told you to stay aware of your surroundings. With a tilt, you steadied your breathing. None of the words were coming clear to you. It was certain, though, that there was a woman in his place.
You took a long and drawn inhale before swiftly pushing in and turning the key to Bucky’s apartment.
The woman paused the call she’d been on, now looking at you. “I’ll call you back.” She pushed the phone into her pocket, looking at you expectantly. “Hi.”
“Hi?” You gave her a quizzical look, “Who are you?” You hadn’t meant to ask so bluntly.
The woman across from you didn’t move, clearly aware of the fact that you didn’t let the door close. Either you were really dumb…or someone taught you that. She stepped toward you, then, a hand outstretched. “I’m Sharon.” She observed your lack of motion except for a brow that arched at the introduction. “You must know Barnes, he sent me here to check on Alpine…can’t seem to find him.”
“Her.”
“Sorry?”
“Her…Alpine’s…a her.”
Sharon lowered her hand. “Didn’t know, sorry.”
Your grip on the door’s knob loosened a bit at the mention of Bucky and Alpine. Finally, you let the door swing closed behind you—stepping into his living room but keeping a distance.
You cleared your throat, “So where is he? That he couldn’t check on Alpine himself, I mean…”
“I um…” She paused, teetering on her feet. “I’m not sure I’m supposed to say-“
“I’m his friend,” you interrupted. You groaned internally at the attempt to make your presence at his place seem legitimate. “We’ve been friends for a while. Haven’t heard from him and wanted to see if he was okay.”
“So you just walked in?”
“Isn’t that what you did?”
The woman smiled, chuckling to herself. “Got a point there.” Silence filled the room again before she spoke again, “So…you’re a friend…with a key?”
“I watch Alpine when he’s out of town…he figured I should have one just in case he’s ever gone longer than expected.”
You surveyed the woman, looking for any questioning of your rehearsed reply. It was somewhat true…not entirely, though.
You chose to repeat your question, concern still sitting within you. “Where’s Bucky?”
The woman reached in her pocket, causing you to step away from her. She raised her arm—motioning for you to wait. Reflected back at you was her ID and badge. She worked with him.
“You should come with me.”
Just then, Alpine strolled around the corner, approaching you in recognition. You scooped her up the same as Bucky had, watching Sharon move toward the door. You inched back, allowing her the space to exit and for you to follow.
The car ride was uncomfortably silent. No words were exchanged between you and the only sound that resonated between the both of you being Alpines sweet purrs into your lap. Eventually you approached the compound. Bucky had never bought you here—thinking better of it. You followed Sharons swift motions, keeping a somewhat close distance on her trail. Looking around as you walked, you were overwhelmed. There were so many people, all of which Bucky didn’t want to know about you. There were so many weapons, so casually strewn about and waved around.
A shake of your head was inadvertent. You pulled Alpine in closer to you, sniffing in the lingering scent of Bucky on her.
The two of you rounded a corner, a few sectioned off rooms coming into view. Sharon quickly stepped into one, ushering you in.
She leaned down and clicked on a keyboard, speaking while looking at the computer screen. “Barnes was called up.” She clicked away, “We needed some undercover done and they had to be able to speak Russian…possibly other languages.” She side eyed you, making sure you were looking. “We have feeds on them at all times.”
She stood then, backing up to stand in line with you. You surveyed the screen, confused by the atmosphere, “Where is this?”
“Some arts gala…few hours away. We got word of illegal dealings happening a few weeks out so they’re doing recon.”
You nodded, watching the zoomed out view of the ballroom. A quick scan came up empty—no signs of Bucky at all. You saw Sharon in your side view, watching the various emotions littering your face.
She crossed her arms, “Barnes isn’t your friend.”
“No.” It wasn’t a question. You figured this would happen, Bucky said as much, that anyone he worked with would see right through you. You kicked yourself for how obvious you’d been, even when trying to be subtle.
“There they are.”
You looked over to her suddenly, “They?”
She moved to zoom in on the screen. “Yup, Barnes and Romanoff.” Sharon resumed her stance next to you. “See? He’s alright…figured this would ease your mind. I know how he can get.”
There was nothing out of the ordinary and you reasoned that you were just being overly cautious. Admittedly, you jumped to so many conclusions in such a small time.
The sound of Sharon’s phone going off filled the room. “I have to take this, but feel free to stay. I can take you back in a sec, okay?”
“Thank you, Sharon.”
She nodded before stepping out to take the call.
You sat down, allowing Alpine to observe the screen as well. “He’s doing just fine. That’s good, right?”
You looked down at Alpine for a second, amused by your own love for the cat—seeing as you weren’t fond of them as a whole. Generally, you were more of a dog person, but you compromised because Bucky loved her. You smiled at the thought of them, your own little family.
The absentminded circling on Alpine’s back stopped abruptly as you looked up at the screen again. You whispered to yourself, “What the fuck…”
In what seemed to be an average recon mission, seemed to linger a hint of something you didn’t quite like. The distance between Bucky and the woman was closing. His grip found her back, a secure hand there while the other held hers firmly. They were talking. You turned to look for Sharon, hoping there were mics on them. The smiles exchanged back and forth had your chest in pain—the same lazy smile he’d shown you just hours ago. Your body started to shake, pulsing at a frequency that left you feeling unstable. A hand secured you in the chair; you urged yourself to keep watching, even if to your own detriment.
He leaned in, whispering something in her ear that made her giggle. They moved apart, then, searching in one another’s gaze. In a split second, the pair’s lips met one another’s. You felt your eyes blink away a sting that approached you quickly. An immediate pain welled up in you. You couldn’t believe it. Clenching down on your teeth, you stood up quickly, moving closer to the monitor. Your finger trailed his face, looking for any sign that this was just an act—an elaborate ruse for the task at hand. Yet, there was nothing.
You couldn’t help but let the feelings of inadequacy cloud your judgement. You couldn’t help but doubt everything he’d ever said. You couldn’t help but cower away from yourself—scared of your own reflection now. It had to be true…you just simply weren’t enough. Someone else was better.
Feeling Alpine in your hands, you pressed a firm hug and kiss into her fur. You rubbed her reassuringly before setting her down in the chair. “I’ll see you later…okay?”
The cat seemed to look at you longingly—but you couldn’t let that stop your path. You had to get out of here. Swinging the door open, you stepped out into the hall and looked around for Sharon. She seemed to have disappear—of course. You took a few steps, unsure of which direction to go. To anyone watching, you seemed to stutter step. You’d move in one direction and question the next. Suddenly, a man came into view, towering over you.
He leaned down to meet your eyeline, “Hey.” He waved a hand in an attempt to break you from your trance. “You okay? You seem lost.”
“I just need to get out of here.” You move to step around him, “Excuse me.”
Your quick footsteps carried you toward the outside—the familiar burn of your legs reminding you of the feeling just an hour ago. How concerned you’d been, you thought, only for him to be hours away having the time of his life…without you.
Within a few minutes, you were able to find a ride and head home. Opening your apartment door hit you in a way you didn’t expect. You had cleaned everything, yes, but you had accidentally removed all traces of Bucky in your attempt to straighten up. The lack of him felt too real—hitting your chest with a force you couldn’t take.
In all your time together you hadn’t felt more connected to Bucky than right now. You empathized with him—sinking to the floor came easy. Letting yourself waste away in an effort to not acknowledge the pain was… easy. Sitting in the dark, ignoring calls, letting your mind run rampant.
I can do this, you thought. Reveling in the feeling of sadness was much easier than facing Bucky. So you simply…wouldn’t.

REBLOGS ( ´ཀ` ) FEEDBACKS + CLICK
VAMP!HEESEUNG starts by cupping your cheeks. he holds your face in his palms— dulcet, gentle as if you were a porcelain doll. his lips meet yours for a kiss that demonstrates his pure love for you. as the kiss goes on, he makes you walk backwards and hums in your mouth when your back hits the wall. one hand rests on your neck and the other holds your waist. his thumb rubs your skin when his teeth sink in your flesh. he embraces your waist and pulls you closer when you gasp, “shh, princess, i’ve got you,” he reassures you, his breath hot on your wounds. he kisses them before sucking your blood.
VAMP!JAY makes you settle on his laps. his hands hold your hips firmly as you wrap your arms around his neck. he kisses your jaw tenderly, peppering kisses all over your skin. he likes to hear you sigh when his lips touch your neck— the way you lean your head backwards makes him dizzy with need. his strong hand connects with your nape. he slides a little praise, “you’re so beautiful,” you feel the ghost of his fangs as he does so. his hands slides down, making your breath catch, in the crook of your upper back, pulling your chest closer before biting you.
VAMP!JAKE it is very dramatic— but in the best way possible. it happens when you accidentally cut yourself. for the first time, he is hungry for something else than love and affection. he wraps his fingers around your hand, bringing it closer to his mouth. your fingertips touch his tongue, his lips wraps around your bloody finger and he sucks. it leaves him red in the face and panting for more. his agape mouth reveals his fangs, his eyes lingering on your neck, he brings you closer in a gentle movement. he holds the back of your neck as he makes his way to the spot he has been craving for, “i need more of you.”
VAMP!SUNGHOON lays you down on the mattress ever so gently. your heart pounding while he gets on top of you, between your thighs with his hands planted next to each side of your face. “you are so beautiful,” he tells you— leaning in. he intertwines your fingers together, giving your hand a soft pressure to contrast with the addicting pain of his fangs making their way inside of you. a pleased hum vibrates in his throat when your chest heaves. his grip on your hands gets tighter as the time goes on, his tongue on your neck as hot as your entire body.
VAMP!SUNOO you discover a look in his eyes that you have never seen before. his gaze burns with need— dizzying hunger, mouth almost watering the longer he looks at you. he doesn't say much, his palms are hot against your skin whereupon he lifts you up to make you sit on the kitchen counter. he starts by holding your hand, bringing it up to his lips to leave a frail kiss on your knuckles, then inside your palm, on your wrist, all over your arm until he reaches your neck. his hand rests on your thigh while he devours you, drawing random patterns on it— soothing you when your grip on his shoulder becomes tighter.
VAMP!JUNGWON he takes your hands, pressing your palm against his cheeks to make you cup his face. the heat in your face gets warmer, he keeps getting closer to your face, his big eyes looking up at yours. he lays between your legs, he looks angelic, “can i taste you?” you are too hypnotized to do anything else but nod, ‘thank you, my love.” he holds your hip with one hand, the other holding onto the sofa’s armchair. it feels like reaching heaven, you fingertips hiding in his hair. behind your eyes, as the feeling of his tongue on your neck takes over the pain, you see stars.
VAMP!RIKI “are you sure?” he hushes, tone soft and hesitant. he is panting for something forbidden, thirsty and lovesick. his cheeks are pink, reminding you of the day you exchanged your first kiss. his long fingers are wrapped around the wrist you offered to him, his mouth is close to it, breathing on it. he didn’t do anything yet and you already feel faint. you give him a barely understandable agreeing noise in lieu of a proper answer. immediately, he pulls you closer, his big hand finds your lower back. he holds your wrist over his shoulder as he bites your neck without any warnings.

✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
Logan tried to tell himself he shouldn’t go back, he really did.
He’s no good for people like you- sweet, gentle things. He’s no good for anyone.
But despite all the things he tells himself, he still ends up across the street from that damned club, feet carrying him against his better judgement, right up to your door.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
It’s been a little over three weeks since the best fuck you’ve ever had stepped through your door.
You wondered if he really did plan on coming back. Maybe he was just offering a next time to be polite? But every time you remember the way he looked at you, his promise to return, the words he whispered in your ear, you disregard that theory.
He’s coming back- you know it. You just don’t know when.
Your ears perk up when you hear the bell, as they have every time it’s rung since you last saw him- but it’s not him. It never is, and the little ding that used to bring you hope now feels like it’s just taunting you.
So you continue on with your work, trying to forget about him, until that one fateful night when he finally shows.
It’s ten minutes before close when he comes in, a wary gaze searching the room behind those same cheap glasses. His eyes land on you, and you’re approaching him before you even process it, his mere presence magnetic.
“Hey, sweetheart.” He says as you walk over.
“Hi.” You reach out and put a hand on his arm. “Coming back for more, hm?”
“You left quite an impression.” The corner of his mouth turns up in a smirk. “Can I have another night with you, pretty girl?”
You glance at the clock. Shit. Barely enough time for a dance- maybe. Or…
“Not here.”
His brow furrows in confusion, and you continue.
“This is very unprofessional of me.” You say in a soft, shameful tone that you know makes even the strongest men helpless. “But… I want to take you home.”
Despite the doe eyes you’re giving him, you do mean it- more than you’re letting on. Something feels special about him, like he’s more than just a customer passing through.
But you keep your cards close to your chest as you wait with baited breath for him to accept or decline your offer.
“Alright, pretty girl.” He says with a faint smile. “Lead the way.”
You finish closing up for the night, grabbing your clothes and throwing them on over your work outfit to protect you from the cold. He lingers there as you go, trying to ignore the curious glances from your coworkers.
“If we’re gonna do this, though, I’m gonna need to know your name.” You say casually, glancing back at him.
He contemplates for a moment, seeming to almost say something else before the word leaves his lips. “Logan.” Despite his near misstep, you believe him.
“Logan.” You repeat the name, then give him yours. When he says it back to you, you love the way it rolls off his tongue.
“You sure you’re alright going home with a stranger?” You tease.
“You’re no stranger, sweetheart.” His words make you smile, and you bring him out the back door to your car, a cautious eye on the parking lot as you do.
It’s not Logan you’re worried about. No, if that were the case, you wouldn’t have even considered bringing him home. It’s the others that frequent the establishment, your regulars who get a little too handsy, the extra bold ones that like to linger by the exit long after you close. But none of them are here tonight- it’s just you and him.
The drive back to your apartment is quiet, the silence broken only by the occasional small chatter. When you arrive, you take the elevator up to your floor, pulling out your keys.
You fumble with your keys when you reach the door that signifies you and your roommate’s shared living space, eventually managing to get the door open. “Shoes go right there.” You gesture to a shoe rack next to the entryway, kicking off your own shoes as you struggle to pull the key out of the lock. You hang up your keys and watch him put up his blazer before you finally shut the door behind you.
He’s on you the moment the door closes, but you halt him with a gentle press against his chest. “Hang on. I need to tell my roommate that I’m gonna be busy.” You make sure he sees the glint in your eyes as you walk down the hall, opening the door to your room first.
He steps inside, his eyes roaming around before falling back on you. “Don’t keep me waitin’ too long, sweetheart.”
“I’ll just be a second.” You say with a smile, pulling the door closed before heading across the hall and knocking on your roommate’s door.
After a moment, you hear a brief “Yeah?” from the other side.
You open the door just a crack, poking your head in. Cas, your roommate, pauses the game on their computer and pulls their headphones off, spinning around in their chair to talk to you. “Oh, hey. What’s up?”
“I’m just letting you know I have company.” You say casually. “So I might be busy for the rest of the night.”
“Oh, yeah, mhm.” Cas says, pretending to be surprised by this revelation. “Is this normal company, or ‘I cover my ears and pray to god my noise cancelling headphones work while someone fucks your brains out’ company?”
You roll your eyes. “Hey, who said I was the one getting my brains fucked out instead of the other way around?”
To that, they just raise an eyebrow, as if to say really?
“Whatever.” You say, unable to hide the smile forming on your face.
“Mhm.” It’s more drawn out this time, punctuated by a tiny knowing smile. “Is this company of yours spending the night?”
“Hopefully. I don’t know.” You say with a shrug. “If you see a stranger in the kitchen, don’t shoot him.” Your tone is lighthearted, but you do mean it- you know Cas gets nervous around intruders, and your gaze flickers just briefly to the locked safe in the corner.
They nod. “No shooting your newest boytoy. Got it.”
You let out an exasperated huff, beginning to pull the door closed. “Goodnight, Cas.”
“Night!” They call after you. “And remember, be safe-”
You close the door before they get to finish, laughing softly to yourself before returning to your own room.
You step inside, finding Logan sitting on the edge of your bed, illuminated by the soft light of the lamp on your nightstand. He stands when he sees you, walking over to you as you close the door.
“Hey.” You say softly, looking up at him, taking in his face.
To see a man, even an attractive one, at work is one thing. But here, in your home, your sanctuary, it feels different. Almost… open. Vulnerable. You find yourself noticing details you hadn’t picked up on before- the lines of his face, the way his hardened demeanor seems to become just a little gentler every time he looks at you.
"Hey." He replies in a quiet tone. Even now, outside of your domain, he looks for your guidance, waits for you to take the lead.
You lean in to kiss him- softer, gentler, slower than the last time, savoring the taste of whiskey on his tongue. Your hands trail up his chest, to the collar of his shirt, the edges of his tie. You begin to undo it, pulling apart the knot before his hands come up to grasp yours, stopping you halfway through.
He breaks the kiss to murmur in your ear. “I’m takin’ care of you tonight.”
Your breath hitches in your throat at the suggestion. “You don’t have to-” You finish undoing his tie, pulling it away and letting it fall to the floor.
“I want to.” He cuts you off, his tone firm, leaving no room for misinterpretation. “Please.” His voice lowers. “Let me take care of you, sweetheart.”
You meet his gaze for a moment, a little stunned to see that he truly does want to make you feel good. You suppose you shouldn’t be surprised- it’s Logan, after all- but still, after most of the men you meet treating your pleasure as an afterthought, the idea alone that he wants tonight to be about you has arousal soaking through your panties.
Nodding, you lower your hands from his collar. “Okay.” You say softly.
He kisses you again, arms wrapping around you and lifting you up. Your legs lock around his waist as he carries you over to the bed, your tongue sliding across his own. He breaks the kiss for a moment to pull your shirt over your head, tossing it aside before his mouth meets yours once more.
He lays you down on the bed, his hands moving to your back, undoing the clasp of your bra and pulling it off of you. He kisses a path down your jaw, your neck, your collarbone, lips trailing down to your chest. He alternates between sucking on your nipples and kneading your breasts in his hands, causing you to throw your head back with a soft moan.
He kisses down your chest, large hands spreading your thighs open as he pulls your pants down. He nips at your thighs, earning a surprised gasp. He slowly pulls your lingerie aside, revealing your soaking cunt. He inhales slowly, trying to collect himself as he pulls your underwear the rest of the way off and out of his way.
He pushes his glasses up just a little before he leans in and licks a long stripe up your cunt. He groans against your pussy, sending vibrations shooting up through your core.
"Taste so sweet." He mumbles against you before diving in.
His tongue works magic- and you were right, his beard does feel heavenly against your thighs.
And oh, he takes his time with you. He takes his sweet, sweet fucking time with you.
You don't know how long it's been, nor do you think you care. You’re on cloud nine, feeling too good to even care about your orgasm while simultaneously needing it more than you’ve ever needed anything. Logan knows just how to please you, his tongue delving into your folds, worshipping you.
“Logan,” you eventually manage to whine, “Please.”
You meet his eyes, and he pulls away just enough to answer you. “You need me to make you cum, sweetheart?”
You nod frantically, and that’s all the signal he needs. He dives back in, zeroing in on your clit and sucking in a way that has your peak rapidly approaching within seconds.
You unravel, not even bothering to try to quiet your moans (you're pretty sure it would be futile, anyway). Your eyes squeeze shut, wave after wave of pleasure crashing over you, flooding through every part of your body as you reach your high. He keeps his mouth on you the whole time, riding out your orgasm until you begin to come down. His hands rest on your thighs, his steady grip grounding you, keeping your entire being from being washed away by the seemingly unending bliss.
When you can finally breathe again, you open your eyes to find him raising his head, his eyes meeting your own.
“Holy fuck.” You breathe, letting out a small laugh.
The corner of his mouth twitches up in a smirk. “Yeah?”
His beard glistens with your slick, and the sight makes you sit up a little, getting a hand on the back of his neck and pulling him up towards you. You kiss him hungrily, tasting yourself on his tongue, once again reaching for the collar of his shirt. You unbutton it fully this time, eager to feel his muscular chest and disappointed to find an undershirt beneath.
He pulls away from the kiss. “Let me.” He takes off his shirt, letting you run your hands up and down his torso as he unbuckles his belt, pulling his pants and boxers down in one smooth motion. You feel your pussy clenching at the sight of his cock, hard and aching for you.
You sit up a little further, wanting to return the favor, but he gently pushes you back down. “Another time, sweetheart.” He says in response to the pout on your face, pulling a condom out of his back pocket before pushing his pants off the bed. “I said I’d take care of you, remember?”
You watch as he rolls on the condom, mesmerized by the sight of his veiny hands wrapping around his thick cock. “I’m pretty sure you just did.” You protest, any further arguments cut off by a whine as he brushes his tip against your folds.
He chuckles, leaning down to whisper in your ear. “Oh, I’m just getting started.”
He pushes into you slowly, moving inch by inch until he’s filling you completely. He starts to move, pulling most of the way out before thrusting back in, setting a slow but powerful rhythm that has high pitched whines leaving your lips within moments.
“Christ, you’re fuckin’ desperate.” He says, eyes locked on the place where your bodies meet. “Look at you, just suckin’ me in. You like that, huh? You like being filled up by my cock?”
You’re too cock drunk to manage anything other than a “uh-huh” that turns to a whine as he thrusts harder.
“You’re doin’ so good, taking me so well.” He praises, leaning down to press his lips to yours.
He continues to murmur in your ear, your moans and his words a sweet chorus of bliss. You feel his hand slip between your thighs and rub at your clit, and your second orgasm hits you hard and fast with a scream of his name. Your vision goes white, the feeling of him thrusting sharply into all the right places taking over all your senses. You can faintly hear him talking you through it, his voice ragged as he approaches his own orgasm.
“Good girl, that’s it; good fuckin’ girl.” His voice is low in your ear, his breath stuttering as he cums with a loud groan, thrusting through both your peaks, your name leaving his lips.
You feel almost like you’re floating, the pleasure nearing the line of overwhelming. You're only brought back down by the feeling of him slipping out of you, the gentle kisses he leaves along your face- but even then, you don’t open your eyes, still trying to breathe as your pussy pulses with the aftershocks of your orgasm.
You hear him get up, hear his footsteps fading away, the bedroom door closing behind him. A pang of hurt goes through you- you didn’t think he’d be the type to just leave. You can’t bring yourself to get up, too exhausted to move, so you just lay there, beginning to drift off. Then you feel a pair of strong arms wrapping around you, lifting you up against his chest and carrying you down the hallway.
You stir, looking up to find Logan half dressed, in only his undershirt and pants. His eyes meet yours, a faint smile forming on his face.
You want to ask where he’s taking you, but your question is quickly answered when he pushes open the door to the bathroom. He gently sets you down in the tub, the warm water enveloping you and making you even sleepier.
“You want me to help you clean up, or would you prefer to do it yourself?” His tone is gentle but firm, making it clear that your well-being is not up for negotiation.
“I can do it.” You force your limbs to move, reaching for a washcloth.
He nods. “I’ll be back in a bit, alright?”
You don’t question where he’s going, solely focused on the task at hand, lest the heaviness in your eyes claim you before you’re finished.
By the time he returns, you’ve cleaned yourself up and wrapped a towel around your waist, feeling at least a little more awake. He gives a gentle knock at the door, and when you murmur a soft, “Come in,” he enters.
His expression turns to one of slight concern when he sees you. You are, admittedly, leaning on the counter for support- it’s not your fault your legs feel like jelly.
You don’t have to ask; you barely even have to look his way before he’s scooping you into his arms again, taking you back to your room. For a moment you wonder how he knew no one would be in the hallway, but you’re too worn out to care.
The soft feeling of your sheets has you practically melting into your bed when he lays you down. You’re almost out the moment your head hits the pillow, but Logan’s voice keeps you awake.
“Here.”
He holds out a glass of ice water and a string cheese.
“Figured you didn’t want to eat much this late, but I thought I’d get you something.”
The action is simple, but sweet. You reach out, taking both items from him and sipping the water as you tear open the string cheese. He lingers near the bed as you finish them both off, a careful gaze trained on you, ensuring you’re okay.
When you’re done, he takes the empty cup and wrapper from you, throwing the wrapper in the trash and setting the glass on your nightstand. At your request, he heads over to your dresser, and you direct him to a plainer pair of underwear, a comfy tank top, and your favorite pair of sleep shorts. He brings them over, taking the towel and folding it over the top of your desk chair as you change into your PJs.
You crawl under your covers, curling up in preparation for the rest your body desperately craves. Logan approaches the bed, smiling to himself as you mumble something half-coherent- a goodnight of some sort, at least, that was your intention. He pulls up the edge of your covers, leaning down to press a soft kiss to your forehead before he retreats again.
His voice has a softer edge to it when he steps away, turning out your lamp as he goes. “Goodnight, sweetheart.”
“Where are you going?” You murmur, already half asleep, eyes lidded, but still reaching for him.
His brow furrows slightly. “Goin’ home. Figured you didn’t want-”
“Do you want to leave?” You ask, sitting up slightly. Your eyes can be heavy all they like, but you’ll be damned if you let him just walk away again.
He hesitates, lips caught in the beginnings of a no before he corrects himself. “I don’t want to intrude-”
You shush him. “None of that. C’mere.”
He protests no further, rising from where he’d leaned down to pick up the rest of his discarded clothes. He makes his way over to the bed, ditching his work pants in favor of just his boxers before cautiously settling in beside you.
You find yourself drawn to him, hesitantly reaching out and placing a hand on his arm. When he turns to you, you scoot a little closer. After a moment, he shifts to face you, allowing you to nestle yourself within his arms. He pulls you close, his body warm against your skin, his arms wrapping tightly around you. His breath hits your neck, and you close your eyes, letting the smell of smoke and aftershave lull you to sleep.

Hello! I've recently read your 'Remus x hearing impaired!reader' and it was sooo sweet and I adore your writing so much ;-;
Do you think you'd be up to write bf Remus x reader who was born deaf, but never had the option to afford hearing aids or a speech therapist as a kid, so they've also been mute for most of their life - but they work hard on themselves and one day, when Remus comes home, they greet him verbally, like 'Hi, Remus' with a bit of a nervous smile? Like the first thing in their life they decided to say was his name? ;-; I would melt ;-;
Take your time (and feel free to skip this ask!)! Hope you're having a great day lovely!!! <3
Ty for requesting <3
cw: reader is (mostly, or at least up until this point) selectively mute, and while reader in this fic has decided she really wants to use speech I do also want to emphasize that Remus would be perfectly happy and just as in love if she never did
Remus Lupin x hearing impaired!reader ♡ 460 words
When Remus comes home, he finds you first thing. It’s part of his daily routine. Sometimes you make it easy for him; you’ll be in the kitchen or at the table by the window, and the movement of his entry will catch your eye. Other times Remus goes in search of you, finds some gentle way to get your attention and let you know he’s home. Today, you seem to have been waiting for him.
Your book is cornered by the time he steps inside. You set it down on the coffee table while he closes the door behind him, and Remus watches you as he sits to take off his shoes, bemused. Expectant, though he doesn’t know of what.
He signs hello.
You keep your eyes on his, a little smile taking you before you open your mouth. “Hi, Remus.”
Remus freezes. His lips part, and for a moment no sound comes out. Your words were slow and unsure, but they were your words. And his name.
“Hi, sweetheart.” Remus remembers to sign only belatedly, but you must read his lips, your grin spreading as he speaks.
He finds himself standing with one shoe still on. He walks as if in a daze to where you are on the couch, sitting across from you on the edge of the coffee table.
He signs, throat tight, “Where did you learn to do that?”
“I’ve been practicing,” you sign back. You’re smiling big, beautifully proud of yourself. Remus finds his own smile irrepressible. “I wanted to surprise you.”
His eyes burn. Remus laughs, wiping underneath them. “You said my name.”
“I wanted it to be one of my first words.” Your eyes are warm with earnestness.
Remus is overcome. He takes your face between his hands, kissing you. It’s unlike him—not the kissing you, but affection given so suddenly, so forcefully—but you preen, so he keeps doing it. Kisses pressed to your lips, your face, until he’s working his way down your neck. Remus rests his lips over the center of your throat.
“You have a lovely voice,” he signs when he pulls away.
You grin. “Really?”
Remus nods. “Will you say something else for me? You don’t have to.”
You look eager, but shy. You wet your lips. “Hi,” you say again, softly now. Remus smiles so hard his cheeks hurt.
“Hi,” he signs, laughing. “You sound so beautiful.”
“Thank you.” You look pleased, as you ought to be, your cheeks appling with joy.
“Thank you.” Remus’ eyes are wet again; he decides he doesn’t care. “I love you. Thank you for the gift, sweetheart.”
“I love you,” you sign back. Your eyes light with an idea, a look Remus likes very much. “Maybe I’ll learn to say that next.”

a/n: Oh my god, I have no self control. I love writing WS!Bucky and I'm glad so many people have been enjoying it too. So, I finally got to a smut. I won't write the typical 'aggressive' WS (if I ever do it will be like a blue moon situation) because imo I don't see that, plus...I like this better lol. Edited lightly but ignore any missed mistakes pls ty ;; wc: 5.0k
You felt like your life was a complete mess.
But it was nothing compared to his.
James, Bucky, Soldat...each name he had gave him the same reaction.
Nothing.
His brow might furrow deeply, eyes glazing over with confusion as he stares intently at the floor, his gaze drifting slowly from side to side as if attempting to piece together an impossibly complex puzzle laid out before him. When his name was called, no recognition flickered across his features, no familiar warmth lit up his face.
He wasn't truly any of the identities that had once been his. Not James with his easy smile, not Bucky with his loyal heart, not the cold precision of the Soldat.
Instead, he existed in a nebulous space between all these versions of himself, these names and personas washing over him like waves, each one bringing with it fragments of memories that would surface briefly before slipping away like smoke through his fingers. Nothing concrete would stay, only wisps of who he used to be.
He was stuck, trapped in this liminal space between identities, neither one thing nor another.
You watched helplessly as he struggled, how he would desperately grasp at each fleeting memory that surfaced, trying with all his might to hold onto even the smallest piece of his past. But inevitably, tragically, even these fragments would dissolve like morning mist, leaving him once again adrift in that haunting space between what was and what is, lost in the void between his many selves.
His handwriting often too shaky to make out among the journal’s pages.
For whatever reason, the soldier had taken to you, of all people. Not even Steve could reach him without causing further distress and confusion to the poor man. Heartbreak glossed the blonde’s eyes each time Bucky rejected Steve's gentle advances, careful attempts to trigger some form of memory, some spark of recognition from their shared past, only failed.
Your own heart ached watching these interactions, seeing the pain etched across Steve's features with every failed attempt at connection and the ever growing agitation from the soldier. You didn't want to step between them, this bond that had survived decades and wars, and you couldn't explain why he had taken such a peculiar liking to you over anyone else.
For the soldier’s sake, you took your new role without complaint.
Countless hours in the medical wing of Avenger's tower proved exhausting for the both of you. Hours of treatment on his end seemed to stretch without end, punctuated by moments of crisis when you found yourself having to wrestle with him every time someone new came into the room.
Your voice grew hoarse from spitting sentence after sentence of reassurance, constant streams of gentle reminders that no one here was going to cause him harm, that he was safe, that these people were here to help. The mantra became as familiar as breathing, though no less important with each repetition.
The soldier experienced dramatic swings between states of intense panic and unsettling calmness, making each medical examination completely unpredictable. Sometimes he would remain completely still, frozen like a statue during the procedures, while other times he would thrash and struggle with every ounce of strength to escape from the men in white. His behavior was noticeably different with female medical staff, even when they wore the white coats - he showed a marked willingness to cooperate with them much more. The behavioral change made your stomach churn with the obvious implications.
As days turned to weeks, he gradually began to show signs of adjustment within your quarters. The decision to let him stay had come naturally, as every attempt to establish separate living arrangements had proven futile…he invariably found his way back to your space.
Every time.
It became a predictable pattern: regardless of the hour, whether in the dark of night or dawn of early morning, he would somehow make his way back into your room and by your side. He was satisfied sleeping on the floor, he settled himself at the foot of it or beside it, he liked the small area tucked between the wall and your mattress, a small hidden space for him to form some sense of security.
It had been several months since the day when you first took him in, watching as he struggled daily with the fragments of his shattered identity. The psychological wounds were still raw and festering, making it impossible for him to process or accept who he truly was. Every morning brought new challenges, every evening ended in confusion and frustration.
Together with Steve, you dedicated countless hours trying to help him piece together the puzzle of his past life. Steve brought out old photographs, shared stories, and created detailed timelines in journals, but despite all your patient guidance and gentle encouragement, the poor man remained trapped in a void of forgotten memories. He couldn't recall anything from his previous life, not even the smallest detail.
The mounting frustration grew in every line of his face, in the way his hands would clench and unclench as he'd violently shove away the journals and carefully curated photos. His eyes would dart around the room like a cornered animal, accusing Steve of fabricating elaborate lies as his mind wrestled between what felt true and what his broken psyche insisted was false.
"Shut up!" Bucky suddenly exploded, sending the leather-bound photo album flying across the room with enough force to leave a mark on the wall. He launched himself up from his position between you and Steve, his entire body radiating tension and hostility. As he whirled to face Steve, his eyes were wild with confusion and fear, nostrils flaring with each rapid breath.
Steve was clearly struggling to maintain his composure through all of this too. Though he tried his best to remain patient and understanding, watching his oldest and dearest friend transform into someone who didn't even recognize him was taking an enormous emotional toll. Rising slowly to meet Bucky's challenge, Steve's face was a mixture of hurt and frustration. "I'm not lying," he insisted, his voice thick with emotion, "Your name is James Buchanan Barnes - I'm your friend!"
"No!" The soldier shouted back, his chest heaving rapidly with each labored breath as he stood there, his long dark hair falling in tangled strands over his face while he shook his head violently in denial.
"You know me!" Steve retorted passionately, his voice cracking with emotion as he faced the resistance before him, desperately trying to reach through to his old friend.
"No, I don't!" The words came out as a raw, desperate cry, filled with confusion and pain.
You wanted to intervene in their intense confrontation, but for the moment you stayed silent and watched the two of them from your position, your heart racing as you observed their exchange, wondering if maybe Steve's unwavering determination could finally break through the soldier's programmed shell and reach the Bucky that lay buried underneath all those years of conditioning.
The soldier threw a punch, his metal arm whirring with the momentum as Steve quickly dodged out of the way. The poor soldier had thrown such a powerful and uncontrolled swing that it sent him stumbling forward, his boots scraping against the floor as he struggled to maintain his balance. You immediately rose to your feet as you realized this confrontation was rapidly escalating. You had been able to keep the soldier at bay, his unstable emotions were pretty manageable up until now and you didn’t want them to get out of hand.
"Okay, enough! Steve, stop-" You warned with urgency in your voice, desperately wanting the blond man to create some distance so the agitated soldier could have space to regain his composure.
"Soldat...easy, it's okay." You placate in a gentle voice, carefully watching his tense form as he sharply turned around to face the two of you again, his chest heaving with each breath.
"He's lying!" The words tore from his throat, anger, fear, confusion filled his tone.
"It's okay...it's all okay," You soothed, focusing all your energy on defusing the situation. You held your hands out toward him in a peaceful gesture, maintaining steady eye contact despite the intensity of his gaze. "You're fine...just take a breath." Your measured, calming tone seemed to pierce through his agitation like a shaft of light through storm clouds.
Gradually, the harsh, rapid breathing that had been wracking his frame began to slow, your non-threatening demeanor and passive body language helping to anchor him back to a more stable state.
"I think that's enough for today..." You muttered quietly, glancing back at Steve with a weary expression. He was still visibly frustrated, his jaw clenched and shoulders tense, but he had enough sense and self-awareness to know it was time to back off for now. Your attention shifted back to the soldier, carefully and gently guiding him down the hallway to your room to give him a much-needed break from the intensity of the memory session.
He was noticeably stiff when he walked, his movements reverted to being mechanical and hesitant. You had no idea what thoughts were racing through his mind, but you hoped you could help ease some of his obvious distress. Days that were more emotionally tense and unpredictable tended to disturb his sleep patterns significantly more than usual, restless nights filled with nightmares and you had to tend him through them. You didn’t mind, but it was exhausting after a few weeks.
Once inside your bedroom, you quietly shut the door behind you and watched as he began to relax ever so slightly, the familiarity of your quarters helping to settle his frayed nerves bit by bit. He slowly trudged over to your bed, his footsteps still carrying that residual tension, before sitting down heavily on the edge and looking up at you with an expression that made your heart ache - his eyes shy and pouty like a kicked puppy, clear with shame and uncertainty.
"M'sorry...I was…bad. I shouted." He muttered softly, his eyebrows deeply furrowed in distress, "I just...can't..." His hand gradually balled into a tight fist and before you could react, he struck himself in the head, hitting over and over as he sat there - delivering short and sharp knocks to his temple that made you wince with each impact.
"Soldat, hey, no. Stop it right now." You quickly grasped his wrist firmly but gently, staring at him with intense concern in your eyes. "We talked about this so many times...don't hurt yourself like this. You don't deserve any punishment...none of what happened was your fault. You just got a bit overwhelmed by everything, and that happens to everyone, even me." You soothed in a gentle voice while maintaining your grip, determined to keep him from continuing to hit his head. “You don’t need to hurt yourself anymore, okay?”
He didn't reply verbally, but the gradual lowering of his mechanical arm provided enough reassurance and comfort for you to finally release your grip on his wrist. With a heavy exhale, you pushed yourself up from your position, muscles protesting slightly from the tension. "I think it's best if we stay in tonight, all things considered." You observed thoughtfully, taking measured steps toward your closet to retrieve some fresh clothes, "I'm going to take a shower, okay?" You turned back to look at him after seconds of silence, only to find his piercing gaze fixed intently on you, his eyes blinking slowly as if processing your words. "Soldat?"
"Да." The response came swiftly and automatically from his lips, prompting you to turn and make your way deliberately toward the attached bathroom. As you walked, you couldn't ignore the sensation of stress gradually creeping through your body, tension coiling through your muscles like a spring. You knew that a hot shower would at least provide some relief, hopefully working to unknot the tight muscles that had formed across your shoulders and down your back.
When you emerged from the steamy bathroom later, towel pressed against your damp hair as you scrunched the moisture from the strands, you stopped in your tracks when you crossed the threshold - the soldier was spread across your bed, his body taut with obvious need as he desperately sought some form of release.
He was alone, his eyes darting around nervously.
Your room smelled nice, a gentle and comforting aroma that made him relax ever so slightly. He felt deeply estranged sitting perched on the edge of your bed, knowing he shouldn't be on the furniture. The memory of that lesson being violently beaten into him surfaced with crystal clarity, he felt a sharp phantom pain at his side, electricity fueling his body.
Should he get down onto the floor where he belonged? You hadn't said anything about it when you left, hadn't seemed to mind his presence on the bed, so maybe just this once it was okay?
“Just this once, you mutt.” He spat at the soldier, perhaps its handler felt some sort of pity for it that day. It was just grateful it didn’t have to curl up on the splintering wooden floor by the bed.
After several long moments of internal debate, he decided to stay on the bed.
You were nice, you wouldn’t hurt him.
He laid back against the bed, a soft sigh escaped his barely parted lips. The sheets smelled incredibly good, carrying your distinct scent; your shampoo, your natural musk that gradually seeped into his sensitive nose as he hesitantly buried his face against your impossibly silky pillow.
God it smelled so good.
Try as he might, he couldn't quite pinpoint the exact notes of the scent, his senses having been shot and dulled for so terribly long. But he knew deep in his bones that it smelled good, smelled sweet and pure and perfect.
As he clutched your pillow closer, hugging it tightly to his chest, he suddenly felt something unfamiliar stirring in his gut, like a sharp fluttering sensation that made his breath catch. His trousers felt uncomfortably tighter and he glanced down at himself with wide eyes, blinking in confusion at the sight. Seeing his body react this way was deeply odd...he hadn't experienced anything like this in such a long time. His handlers always had to give him pills to get this kind of response, otherwise it simply didn't happen.
Growing increasingly curious despite his lingering apprehension, he cautiously felt himself through the fabric and was genuinely surprised to discover that it felt good. It felt...really good, wonderfully good. And it didn't hurt in the slightest. It had always used to hurt so badly before, so why didn't it hurt now? Each time one of his handlers touched him, it hurt a lot. He remembers sharp pain, it made him nauseous a lot of the time. But now…he didn’t feel that pain, only this fluttering feeling.
He couldn't help himself any longer, his control crumbling entirely. Before he fully realized what he was doing, he had frantically ripped his own pants off, stumbling awkwardly as he struggled to kick his heavy combat boots off in order to tear the restricting black pants completely off himself as he penguined around your room. Bouncing precariously on one leg and growling in mounting frustration, he nearly toppled over onto his ass in his desperation.
He stared at his crotch, his thick cock twitching and leaking fluid as it throbbed at attention. The neglected part of him begged for his touch, the way it sent neurons rapidly to his brain to do something almost hurt. The soldier was desperate yet hesitant, he hadn't been allowed to touch himself in HYDRA, it was forbidden for him to ever do so. Only his handlers had that luxury, and it never felt good.
The poor thing felt hot and he bit back a strangled whine as he finally allowed himself the intimate touch he'd been denying for so long. His trembling fingers hesitantly explored bare skin, trailing down his abdomen and to his neglected cock.
He carefully grasped himself, unsteady and out of practice, his hand moved up and down the length with tentative strokes as he tried to replicate what he knew from distant memories. He squeezed and turned his hand with experimental motions, though the sensations remained frustratingly muted, falling short of what he desperately sought. His behavior replicated that of past hands, mechanical and clinical touches that had never prioritized his pleasure or comfort.
His frustration mounted steadily as his pent up desire overwhelmed his senses, leaving him breathless and yearning for more. The soldier moved back to your bed with shaky steps, his cock felt heavy, his balls full and needy for some kind of release. He buried his face deep in your pillow once more, inhaling deeply to chase that fluttery feeling that he felt earlier when inhaling your scent.
As you stood there, freshly showered with droplets of water still clinging to your skin, the plush towel wrapped securely around your body - you were surprised at the sight before you. The soldier on your bed moved with such raw, unrestrained desperation, his movements so primal and needy that you couldn't help but wonder if this was his first taste of pleasure, as if he hadn't ever experienced the sweet release of an orgasm before, or hell, even remember what it was like.
The man clung onto your pillow, face buried in it as his hips jut into your bed, the comforter balling up under him. His grunts were muffled against the pillow, his thrusts against your sheets were sloppy and jerky. You could tell he was just trying to reach climax, but none of his actions would get him there. He'd only cause himself enough friction to stay hard.
He lifted his face up gradually, his flushed cheeks burning bright and his dark eyebrows drawn tightly together in concentrated pleasure. His lips were glossy and parted, glistening with saliva as he practically drooled with desperate need, his entire body trembling on the edge of climax. His frantic thrusting began to slow to an erratic rhythm as waves of tension visibly radiated through his muscular form. The soldier's heavy-lidded eyes fluttered open hazily, only to suddenly lock onto your watching form.
In that moment, his entire body froze completely rigid, like a marble statue caught in a compromising position, as the full realization dawned across his features that you had discovered him rutting so shamelessly against your bed.
Assuming the worst, he quickly got up and leaned back, exposing himself without realizing it. His cock angry with need, leaking thick fluid as it tried to get its host to relieve the growing pain of orgasm denial. Your eyes were naturally drawn to it, the thick member twitching and staining your favorite pillow.
His face was flushed a deep crimson with overwhelming embarrassment, his eyes cast downward to avoid meeting your gaze as he desperately tried scooting further back on the bed. The poor man was clearly consumed by shame, not just from staining your belongings but from experiencing such intense, primal need for the first time in what felt like countless decades.
You had always been careful with him before, understanding and respecting his past experiences and trauma. But right now, watching his reactions and body language, it seemed like he was silently pleading for your intervention.
And honestly...the sight of him this way made your pussy feel wetter by the second.
"Awe, baby...are you struggling?" You asked in the softest, most nurturing tone you could, slowly making your way to the bed, careful not to startle him. "Don't worry, I know it feels weird, huh...I'll help make it better."
Your hand gently reached out and ran up from his knee to his thigh, the bare skin feeling warm and inviting against your palm. Your fingertips traced delicate patterns as they moved upward, savoring each moment of contact he allowed you to have. Your eyes glanced down at the scars marring his beautiful body - silvery lines etched across his skin like a canvas of survival. He didn't like looking at them, always trying to hide them away from view, but you didn't mind. They didn't make him any less pretty to you .
You reached his pelvis, your touch feather-light as you looked up through your lashes to meet his eyes. They were glossy with need, dark with desire as he stared down at you - his broad chest heaving with painful anticipation, each breath making the muscles in his abdomen tense and relax. "Please..." he spoke meekly, voice barely a whisper, his bottom lip trembling as he gripped the sheets beneath him, desperately resisting the overwhelming urge to rut upward towards your teasing touch.
"I'll take care of you," your voice cooed, gently reassuring him as your heart fluttered rapidly against your ribcage as your gaze drifted downward to rest upon his erect cock. Your fingertips traced light patterns up the length of his thighs, the touch both teasing and tender, avoiding those silvery scars. You pressed against his thighs, carefully guiding his legs to part.
Fuck, he was beautiful.
Pretty pink head just weeping for your touch, twitching as it laid against his belly, sticky fluid webbing into his neat, curly happy trail. Pretty pearls flowing out of him as the blushed tip became a darker, angrier red with the company of your touch.
His balls hung heavy, so so full, so you gently kneaded his sac. This earned a loud whine in response to your warm hand palming against him, massaging the sore testicles. "Please, please...please, I need..." His pretty voice was so delicious as he begged for something, he just didn't know what.
"What do you want baby...tell me, I'll give it to you," you whispered softly against his skin, your warm breath causing goosebumps to ripple across his flesh. The man beneath you was struggling to maintain his composure, his chest rising and falling with rapid, shallow breaths. Tears welled in his glacial eyes as he trembled against the soft, cotton sheets, his fingers desperately clutching at the bedding beneath him.
His voice caught in his throat - a deep, ripping cry of need as you slowly placed tender kisses along his knee. You took your time, savoring each press of your lips as you traced a path along the sensitive inside of his thigh, feeling the muscles quiver beneath your touch. Just before reaching the spot he craved your attention most, you paused, letting the anticipation build a bit.
"I won't tease too much, I know you are needy." You finally grasped him, letting your hand move along. Bucky squirmed, moaning and desperately rutting up into your touch for more. You kept a slow pace, steadily stroking his hard flesh so as to not overwhelm him. Your thumb gently caressed his tip, circular motions spreading those pearly beads all around and coating the tip in a thick lubricant.
You let your thumb gently press and swipe up through his slit, applying just the right amount of pressure to make him quiver. The sensation overwhelmed him, causing his body to tremble uncontrollably as waves of pleasure coursed through him. His back arched dramatically off the bed as he cried out in pure ecstasy, every nerve ending singing with delight as it felt so good. You felt so incredibly good, your touch electric against his sensitive, neglected cock.
This was entirely new territory for him - he had never experienced anything that came close to this level of intensity before. Physical contact without pain was a rare occurrence, and when he did get touched in the past, it was never on his terms. But this - this was something entirely different, something that made his whole body feel alive with sensation. The pleasure built and built until it felt like brilliant fireworks were exploding in his belly, sending sparks of pure bliss radiating through his entire body until his fingertips and toes tingled with static numbness.
You let out a soft breath, a smile quirked at your lips as you viewed the mess of white ropes that hung against his belly and draped on your fingers from your stroking. He came already, you barely touched him and he fucking came. Disheveled, he took deep breaths and looked up at you, his eyes peeking open as a small whimper emitted from his throat.
However, he was still hard.
You wondered if super soldiers could go more than once without a refractory period.
"What do you want, Bucky?" you asked the trembling soldier, your voice barely above a whisper. His breath hitched as you leaned closer, eyes searching his face intently. "What do you want...tell me. You get to choose. You decide what happens now," you murmured, watching his reactions carefully as your hands slowly traced gentle patterns across his thighs, fingers trailing deliberately up and over his pelvis, thumbs following the natural V-line. You applied just enough pressure to his shaking muscles to make him gasp, feeling the way he tensed and relaxed under your touch.
The poor man could barely form a coherent thought, his mind clouded with desire. His hands frantically grasped at your arms, fingers flexing against your skin as he tugged and yanked lightly, desperately trying to pull you on top of him. His voice came out rough and pleading, filled with raw need as he begged, "More, more...more..." His lip trembled and his eyes watered, you had never seen him like this, so taken over by the cloud of need.
"You want me to ride?" you asked gently, your fingers unwound the towel still wrapped around your body, letting it fall softly and you tossed it off beside the bed. Your skin glowed in the dim light as you leaned forward, your voice dropped to a calm whisper. "I'll ride you, all you have to do is sit back and enjoy..."
The words ghosted across his skin as you traced a delicate path with your lips, starting at his sternum and working your way up, each kiss lingering longer than the last. Your mouth found the sensitive spot where his neck met his shoulder, and you could feel the thundering of his pulse beneath your lips.
His breathing had grown ragged and uneven, chest rising and falling rapidly beneath your touch. His arms encircled you, fingers pressing into your skin as if he were anchoring himself to reality, terrified that if he loosened his grip even slightly, you might fade away and he’d wake up in a cold cell again.
Before you knew it, his cock was poking your slick entrance and you sunk down on his length without wasting a beat, impaling yourself on his thickness. He let out a shuddering cry, his glossy eyes widening with unbridled desire as his trembling hands instinctively shot out to grasp your plush, inviting hips, fingers pressing deeply into the soft flesh.
Oh, this felt...fuck, he struggled to find words. The warmth enveloping him, the wetness made his head spin, the softness of your cunt threatened to undo him completely.
You squeezed him so good, your inner muscles contracting rhythmically around him like your body was purposefully attempting to milk him of everything he had stored away, drawing out every last drop. You carefully began to move on him, lifting your hips up slowly before letting gravity guide you back down, savoring each sensation as you felt him stretch and move your insides. The fullness was overwhelming - he was absolutely massive in you, spreading you wider than you'd ever been, yet somehow he fit perfectly, like your bodies were made for each other, two lost pieces of a puzzle finally united.
Your body moved in perfect harmony with his, each roll of your hips drawing out beautiful moans in response. The way you naturally undulated against him, finding an intoxicating rhythm that had him gasping and trembling beneath you. His hips bucked up desperately to meet your movements, seeking more of that friction that felt so damn good. The soldier's hands gripped you tightly, his fingers still digging into your skin as he struggled to maintain what little composure he had left.
"C..can't...gonna..." His voice strained and broke, he buried his face into your chest as he thrusted up hard - warm, gooey cum shooting out and coating your cervix and inner walls, pooling out of your cunt and coating him as he thrusted slowly until he stopped and remained tucked inside.
He cried out against you, his body trembling and clinging desperately as waves of intense pleasure coursed through him, his second release of the night overwhelming his senses completely. His fingers dug into your skin as he shuddered, overcome by the intensity of sensations he had been denied for so very long.
"I've got you," you whispered soothingly, your arms wrapping protectively around his broad shoulders. One hand found its way into his hair, fingers threading through the soft strands as you gently scratched his scalp in a comforting rhythm. His face remained buried against your breasts, and you could feel the warm wetness of tears against your skin.
A seed of worry took root in your gut at his emotional response, but you quickly reminded yourself that these tears were caused by relief and pleasure, not pain or distress. His hurt body and tortured mind were simply overwhelmed by the rush of positive sensations - after decades of existing without any form of physical pleasure or intimate touch, it was natural for him to be overcome by these emotions when finally getting to experience pleasure again.
Bucky sobbed.
His body trembled violently as if the bitter chill of winter had taken his body all over again, leaving him shaking uncontrollably in the aftermath. He clung to you, unwilling to release his grip on you. The safest he had ever felt was here, wrapped in your arms, where nothing else seemed to matter.
His broken mind, a constant battlefield of screaming thoughts filled with pain and unrelenting anger, was silenced - if not just a little - when he was in your arms. The constant torment of pain and guilt became manageable right here by your side, tucked away against your chest and arms.
No longer lost. No longer wandering aimlessly.

kento nanami is an anniversary man. nsfw
you think it's sweet, how he has the date of big events in his life on memory. when it's a loss, he'll take the day off to remember, with his head in your lap as he tells stories of whomever has passed. you listen intently, ask questions about them and watch as your husband recounts every good thing about a person.
he celebrates the good, too. almost excessively. the date you met is circled on the calendar, and kento will wake you up with breakfast in bed and a day of doting to show you just how important this anniversary is to him. you turned his world upside down in the best of ways, and what kind of man is he if not one to celebrate the light in his life?
of course, your wedding anniversary too. it's the one he goes all out for: more often than not you put a weekend aside to take a trip and spend some uninterrupted time together. you'll act as newlyweds again, because you still feel like newlyweds despite the passing years, and you'll be reminded over and over just how lucky you are to have found your soulmate in a man like kento nanami.
a man who is sentimental, and so very in love with you. and also celebrates the first time you had sex.
that first year, he had spent the day doting on you so profusely that you were convinced he was going to propose. he was pulling out all of the stops, taking you out fopr an expensive meal, dosing you with fine wines and so many kisses you could get drunk off the taste of him alone. he took you home, ran you a scented bath and took care of the house while you relaxed.
and of course the night ended in mind blowing sex—as your nights usually do. he had insisted on fucking you in missionary despite his recent penchant for taking you from behind and, once he has ripped two orgasms from you and was working on your third, he let it slip.
“we made love for the first time a year ago today,” he whispers against your lips, cock pulsing inside of you as he reaches deep inside of you. “just like this—looking into each others eyes, three orgasms from you, two from me. fell in love with you that night, do you know that honey?”
“you kept track of the day?” you cant finish your sentence without a moan breaking from your throat. “kento, you’re something else.”
“of course i did. it’s an important date, reaching such intimacies—feeling these beautiful velvet walls of yours for the first time… i’ll never forget it.”
you laugh, though it’s quickly swallowed by a kiss from your lover. he rocks his hips into you, feels every inch of his veiny cock disappear inside. he looks down to watch himself sink into you, though his gaze his brought back when you speak.
“three.”
kento blinks. “three what?”
“orgasms from you. you said you had two, but you came a third time right at the end—i milked you dry and you were so sex-drunk and exhausted but you insisted on making me food.” you reach down and grab his hand, the one that had been cupping at your chest, and hold it up for him to see the gentle scar that runs across his thumb. “you cut yourself slicing the bread because i fucked you mindless.”
it comes back to him in gentle flashes. you had, in fact, milked him of a third release. he had just been so out of his mind with nerves and pleasure that the memory had washed itself clean from his mind. he scolds himself mentally for ever daring to forget a detail about being intimate with you, but smiles.
“i remember,” he says. “you told me sex made you hungry so i wanted to incorporate it into your aftercare…”
“silly man,” you wrap your legs around his waist and lick your ankles behind him. with a gentle nudge, he’s forced that tiny bit deeper inside of you. “my silly man.”
kento moans—his eyes flutter shut and his lips catch between his teeth. he adores you—he really does. so much so that the sheer memory of his first time with you is quickly becoming too powerful of a memory to have.
and you, his beautiful other half, laid beneath him with lustful eyes and parted lips, smile up at him. “are we recreating our first time, ken? is that what this is?”
he nods, a little wordless as he tries to keep his mind straight.
“then i think you know what i’m going to do to you, my love.”
he smiles. “milk me for all i have. it’s all yours anyways.”
you lean up and kiss him. it’s slow, gentle, like your first kiss with him was. you taste him wholly on your lips and thank all the divine beings that may exist for putting such a man in your life’s trajectory. his cock twitches inside of you, he fills you out so perfectly.
still, you smile as you roll your hips up to meet his. “just let me handle the aftercare this time.”

passenger princess pairing: sunshine!reader x bf!rafe synopsis: no one touches your side of the car warnings: fluff! wc: 700 this was such a cute little idea, i loved it!!! this is for the baddies that refuse to get a license ⋆.˚ ᡣ𐭩 .𖥔˚ originally posted 11/11/2024
whenever you'd come up with some new, ridiculous way to 'tune up' what you had deemed your side of his car, rafe would act like it was such a bother; like he really didn't get why you felt the need to be doing all that.
rafe's side of the car was, well, normal. sure, he had a few documents he kept in the driver's seat sun visor, but everything else was sleek, normal, but your side was like a kindergartner's dream come true. it got so ridiculous that you had a fluffy blanket you'd stuffed into the glove compartment, conveniently ignoring the gun he kept there. sure, that came in use for car quickies, but most of the time it was just there for when you felt like... napping.
the dashboard had a bunch of stickers as well as some of those weird furry toys (calico crits or some shit) along with those weird little babies with fruits on their heads; you'd put blu-tack on their feet to make sure they stayed in their rightful places. even the cup holder was taken over by a little plushie, and he'd basically had to argue for you to not get a pink cover for the steering wheel; that ended up with you giving him the silent treatment for a week until he showed up behind your door with more ridiculous trinkets for your side of the car.
secretly, he liked the fact that there was your side of the car, that even when you weren't there, he could still see traces of you everywhere.
rafe let out a small sigh, tapping his long digits against the steering wheel, glancing down at his watch the longer it took barry to get there; finally, he saw the man getting out of his trailer, letting out a low "fucking finally..." while barry opened the door to rafe's car, his eyes immediately landing on the crap on your side of the car. "don't ask."
"wasn't gonna." barry huffed in amusement, getting into the decorated side of the car, and rafe wished he wasn't in such a hurry, the sight being so ridiculous. "you're whipped, huh?"
"what are you talking about?" rafe scoffed, the car lurching forward as he started it, barry adjusting the cute seat cover you'd recently bought, letting out a small tut. "i wouldn't do that." but before rafe could stop barry from further meddling with your settings, he'd already started adjusting the seat, making him groan internally.
"are you gonna get shit for it?"
"obviously." rafe scoffed, "and you will too. it took her, like, a month to adjust it to be comfortable. so stop touching her shit."
still, barry continued looking at the little trinkets you kept on your side of the car, taking one of those weird fruit babies and toying with it, letting out a small snort, but when they pulled up in front of an unfamiliar house instead of the house party rafe had told him they'd be going, barry looked at the blonde with furrowed brows, who simply scratched the back of his neck.
"don't tell-"
before he could finish his sentence, barry was startled by the sound of a knock on the passenger seat window, and when he turned around, you were standing there, mouthing something.
"she's saying you're in her seat." rafe muttered under his breath, barry laughing at this; it was getting more and more ridiculous by the minute.
"whipped. w-h-i-p-p-e-d." barry slapped rafe's shoulder, making the blonde roll his eyes as barry got out of the passenger's seat.
"hi." you said with an excited smile as you climbed onto your side of the car, pressing a soft kiss on rafe's stubbled cheek, all the while barry climbed into the backseat, feeling like he was a damn kid getting a ride to school from his parents.
however, as you tried to settle onto your usual seat, you looked between the two men with narrowed eyes, your glossed lips pursing into a pout, rafe feeling like he might burn under your gaze.
"did he mess with my seat?"
"i told him not to!"
"barry!" you exclaimed, your keen eyes landing on the dashboard, noticing that something was missing; you turned around to face him, a sheepish grin on barry's face.
"barry, give me the angel back!"
