rant below I’m struggling with my health and mobility and it sucks and I need to get this off my chest
A disk in my spine is herniated and I cant walk I can’t DO ANYTHING without absolutely excruciating pain
The only thing I can do without crying from pain is lay on the ground not even my bed JUST THE FLOOR
Walking: 13/10 absolute nightmare agony my whole body just collapses to the right and I go down no matter what. I can make it like…5 steps then I’m down for half an hour
Sitting: 20/10 fuck my life literally cannot sit this makes DRIVING near impossible
I drove to the pharmacy to get my meds to try and help this and this is like, a 7 minute drive. 15 with traffic. Literal straight line down the highway. It took me THREE HOURS to make the drive because I had to keep pulling over and putting ice and heat packs on my back and lay down in the seat to try and stop the agony it was AWFUL I was literally crying from pain trying to drive and just PRAYING that nobody called the cops to check on me it was so miserable.
And I’m no wuss, my pain tolerance is high, so I tried to drive to work and I almost went off the road when my leg spasmed and slammed down on the gas, I swear to god I met Jesus for a second because I almost drove straight into a DEEP reservoir. And like holy shit?? Like this shit hurts but I didn’t expect I’d LOSE CONTROL of my leg like holy shit
So now I’m not driving. I haven’t really told anyone in my life what exactly happened, but I’ve been telling them the pain is too bad. I had to email work and be like I can’t make it in, like I literally can’t drive, here’s my doctor’s appointment please don’t fire me
(It’s a government job and I’m a good employee I don’t think they’ll fire me but god the stress of being incapable of working is stressing me the FUCK out)
And it fucking SUCKS because I’ve been doing everything I can??? I did my physical therapy, I exercised I followed my restrictions, I took my meds I did everything I can?????????
I’m so tired.
My apartment has devolved into a hoard
Here’s a SUPER FUN CHALLENGE lay on the floor, on your left side, ONLY your left side, and DONT MOVE YOUR LEGS OR LOWER BODY AT ALL. If you do, you WILL EXPLODE, so don’t move them
Now fold your laundry. Cook. Go to the bathroom.
While you go to the bathroom, make sure you take a railroad spike and start hammering it into the hip joint right at your back.
SIKE you’ve got 24 seconds before your leg spasms out of pain and forces you off the toilet no matter where you are in the process SO WORK FAST YOURE NOT ACTUALLY IN CONTROL OF THIS SHIT
the pain is so bad and you can’t bathe properly from a laying down position and your genuinely loving wonderful parents consider canceling their vacations to come and help you but you’ve ALWAYS been VERY INDEPENDENT like your whole life you’ve always been able to everything yourself so you convince them not to cancel and lie and say it’s all good and it’s not. It’s really not. You can’t take the trash to the dumpster. You can’t carry water over to water your dying plants, you can’t stand and reach long enough to empty your dishes and sweep and wash and you’ve got to eat somehow
You’ve got to eat somehow so you make food and use the utensils you’ve got and now another trash bag is being formed and you CANT get rid of it and you can’t carry anything and
And you know you’re hurting yourself more like this, because the more it hurts the more you aggravate it the more likely it is that your immune system will start EATING YOUR SPINE
I’m so tired.
I’m so tired of being in pain. I’m so tired of living in a messy apartment. I’m so tired of all of this
I can’t get dressed properly. I can’t keep my hair brushed, I can’t do my nails I can’t CLEAN, I can’t WALK I can’t do anything but lie down and just ROT and wait for my doctors appointment and im so tired
I want to clean my apartment and my bathroom
I can’t stand and I’ve been forced to crawl around and it makes me sooooo aware of how dirty everything is
I just want to be normal again I want to be able to walk and drive and go to work and hang out with my friends and see my family and BE THERE for my family without being the burden in pain and I’m so so so fucking tired of my body not working like it used to
This CANT be the rest of my life, it just CANT I CANT be LIKE THIS FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE I CANT
Please pleas please let this end, please let this be something I can fix please let there be something I can do to make it better please let this be temporary please please please let this be temporary
I’m so tired

Blue Flames of a One Night Stand
(18+) Dabi + (y/n fem)
part 2 part3 part4
www.wattpad.com
It was never meant to be like this. The one-night stand should have ended hours ago but some how the sun rose with you tucked in his arms. He just wanted a night to unwind with a few drinks and a quick release but somehow you came home with him and spent the night.
The light flowed in from the window between the holes of the old curtains. Your body curled up under his blanket trapping one of his arms underneath you like a pillow. Dabi took his free arm from over you to rub the sleep out of his eyes. After blinking a few times to adjust to the early afternoon light his gaze traveled over your sleeping form. Dabi smiled at himself seeing your ruined mascara streamed down your cheeks. Memories of your screams flicked in his mind.
“Fuck.” He whispered to himself. Dabi fell back onto the bed tossing is arm over his face with a low grumble. Out of the corner of his eye he sees you still peacefully sleeping. Slowly he dragged his palm over his face in frustration.
Slowly he pulled his arm out from under you trying not to wake you. As you rolled away the blanket fell away from your chest revealing your perked nipples. Deep bite marks over your chest and neck reminded him of his actions last night in his drunken haze. Dabi’s cock twitched at the sight of you exposed. He softly watched you sleep on his bed for a moment before snapping himself out of his trance. Slowly he pulled the blanket back up over you before sliding out of bed.
Enjoying the feeling of the cold floor beneath his feet he took a step only to feel silky fabric bush across his toes. Looking down to the floor was the dress he burned off your body. A sinister smiled graced his lips at the memory of how the dress hugged your curves until his blue flames helped him rip the fabric from your body. He let out a groan as he picked up the burned fabric. When he stood back up, he began to feel painfully aware of his arousal. Letting out a huff of air from his nose Dabi made his way to the bathroom.
With a twist of the lock, he felt secure with in the small space. Quickly discarding your mini dress into the tiny trash bin. He was not sure what you would wear when you got up, but he tried to convince himself that it was not his problem. You should never have let him burn your clothes in the first place if you did not have anything else to wear home. His sadistic side absolutely loved the way his blue flames danced across your skin and how you moaned when he would use his quirk.
Leaning over the sink his eyes slowly trailed up to meet his reflection in the mirror. Your bright lipstick smeared over his own lips with matching kiss marks down his neck and chest. A ring of faint lipstick remained at the base of his shaft. Giving himself a slow stroke of his length with only the memory of how you took him deeply in your mouth in the dirty bathroom of the club last night. As his eyes made it back up to the mirror, he noticed that in the same lipstick color on his body was your name and number on the glass. Dabi checked darkly to himself knowing he had completely forgotten your name if he even bothered to ask at all in his drunken haze.
Dabi stopped his hand to reach for the shower faucet.  Quickly stepping inside the shower to enjoy the cold water running over his burned shin. Dabi placed his left had on to the tile wall as his right began to stroke along his hardened length. The metal of his piercing rolled along his palming action. He began to breath deeply into the cold water that flowed over his face. Quiet curses and deep grunts escaped his lips at the memory of your body bousing on his old mattress. With a few final strokes his chest hummed as he found his release. Dabi’s mind began to clear as he watched the water swirl down the drain. With a deep breath he finally grabbed the soap and washed away the possessive love marks and dried bodily fluids you left on his body.
With a feeling of slight mental clarity Dabi walked over to his secondhand dresser. Aloud squeak from opening the drawer caused you to stir. Realizing you are finally waking up he quickly pulls out a pair of black jeans and old white shirt. Once clothed he reached to the top of the dresser for his cigarettes placing one in his mouth to light with his quirk.
Slowly he walks over to the bed. Seeing your bare bottom peeking out from the sheets with is handprint lightly branded into your skin began to fill his head with pleasant thoughts. ‘She left her number maybe she wants to meet again. Of course, she does, sluts like her love getting dicked down.’ The thought of you staying slowly turned into thoughts of his villainous life. ‘Wonder how that dusty Tomura would feel about her? He would want to share her as if that dusty virgin would know what to do with a piece of ass like that.’
The bed squeaked as he sat on the edge next to you. Leaning an arm over your body to hover over you he let out a puff of smoke away from your sleeping form. “Going to wake up at some point doll face?” Your face scrunched up as you let out a groggy groan soon to peak up at him with one eye.
“Coffee?” your voice comes out strained and scratchy.
“Ya, I got some,” there was a sarcastic chuckle in his voice, “anything else you want princess?” With a satisfied moan a smile crosses your face. You stretch your arms above your head and wiggle your body beneath him.  You reach your hand over to clasp the hand Dabi held the cigarette with and pulled his cigarette into your mouth while he held it for a drag.
“Shower if you don’t mind.” You lock eyes with the bright blue that stole your attention all night. You were not sure what he was thinking but you enjoyed how intensely he was staring down at you.
“Water only runs cold princess.”
“Well after last night I could use a little cooling off.” Dabi frimly grabbed your ass cheek with a satified hum in his throat. You could feel a low heat from his palm made from his quirk. After a moment he release you. Standing up from the bed he put out his cigarette in the ash tray on the windowsill next to the bed. He started to walk to the door and your eyes followed his movement.
“If your going to eye fuck me this early in the morning, we could just go another round.” Dabi glanced up and down your barley covered body with a grip on his belt buckle as if he were waiting for you to invite him back over.
“Shower first need to get your kids out of my hair.” As Dabi tried to hold back his laughter you managed to roll out of his bed. His blue eyes drank in every curve of your naked body in the light of the day. The bruises, hickeys, scratches, bites and burns only made you look more attractive to him. “See something you like?” You say with a sarcastic tone as you bend over slowly giving him a full view of your ass while you pick up you purse.
“Just admiring my handy work babe.” You slowly strut across the room lust filled blue eyes follow your every step. You arch up on your toes to place a chase kiss on his lips. Tossing your bag over your shoulder you walk into his bathroom.
You walk into the kitchen hair wet and up in a messy bun. Glasses on your face because you needed to rest your eyes after wearing contacts late into the night. Thin short pink running short and a tight white tank top with matching thin flimsy sandals. With each step closer to Dabi the smell of coffee makes you let out a satisfied hum.
“So, your name is Dabi?” You had noticed he taken your lipstick and wrote on the bathroom mirror as you had to what you assumed to be his name. Dabi slowly turned around with a mug to his lips grunting confirmation to your question. He handed you a mug of black coffee and took the moment you were distracted by your beverage to take in your appearance.
He was surprised that you had a change of clothes in your small bag, but his face showed no emotion. Part of him was hoping you would walk out in only a towel or the hoodie he left on the bed for you. Dabi thought you looked so normal and innocent in your day clothes making him wonder why you were here with him. You made the aggressive advances on him the night before and now he was starting to question your motives. The bitter taste to his coffee was nothing to the bitter feeling of being used. He sucked down another gulp of coffee trying to harden his already shielded heart. Dabi placed his mug down, crossed his arms over his chest then lean back on the counter.
“(Y/n) right?” His tone was dark and sarcastic when he spit out your name. You felt an unpleasant chill run down your spine. Trying to place the mug down without showing how intimidated you were by his sudden change in attitude was difficult. You smiled tightly and hummed out a yes to show he had your full attention.
Dabi enjoyed the fear in your eyes it gave him a deep satisfaction. He pushed himself away from the kitchen counter in two quick steps he was toe to toe with you. His height difference was clear as he looked down at you. His grip was tight on the tip of your chin when he pulled your gaze up to meet his. He leaned in close with an intimidating look in his blue eye.
“What is a sweet little thing like you doing playing round in a hole in the wall bar with a thug like me?”
You felt frozen in place as you tried to steady your breathing. You could hear your heart pounding in your ears. It was obvious you planned to sleep with someone you even packed extra clothes. You could not blame him for the question, but it was the deep threatening tone that he asked in that made you want to choose your next words carefully.
“So, what is it, were you board and needing someone to spice up your perfect life? Or do you get off on using people?” You try to respond but only a few low squeaks escape. Your throat feels try and legs weak as you try to look away from his sharp glare.
When Dabi goes to release your chin, he pushes you head to the side nearly knocking you off balance. With a huff he is back to leaning nest to the counter arms folded over his chest. He will not even look at you and the sour expression on his face fills you with guilt.
“Just go.” With those harsh words you felt tears filling your eyes.
You storm off to his bedroom to grab the last of your things. While in there you take the time to mentally collect yourself. This was not how things were meant to be. You needed to tell him the truth even if he did not believe you or care what you say. A rising determination was fueling you to go back out and tell him why you hooked up with him last night. Straightening up your stance to toss your bag over your shoulder as you turn around you find Dabi filling up the door frame and blocking your way out. Your body slightly jerks back in response to not expecting him to be behind you.
“Umm Dabi,” you stuttered shyly as you spoke up, “Look its not like either of us were planning to have more than a one night.” He squinted his eyes at you but said nothing. Inside he was slightly offended after how softly he thought of you this morning but over all he did agree with you. “Yes I did pursue you .. rather hard last night but I can explain.” You began to twiddle your finders nervously along the hem of your shirt. Dabi still stay silent, but the quirked eyebrow seemed to you as an indication to continue. “Well, you kind of look like a villain.” You were not wrong, but Dabi still felt like he had a right to be offended plus he was starting to enjoy watching you squirm.
“Is that supposed to make me feel better being called a villain because why? My scars?” Dabi stood tall in the doorway radiating off an intimidating presence.
“Ok I know that came out wrong, but I needed someone to ruin my reputation.” Well, that was an unexpected answer. Dabi felt taken back as he tried to understand what kind of a woman would willing let a man ruin her reputation. Dabi took slow strides towards you closing the distance and still blocking you from the door. You backed away in a slow shuffle as he approached until the back of your knees met the bed nearly knocking you off balance. Dabi leaned his head down slightly and placed a firm grip on your chin tilting your face up at him.
“I -I just wanted my ex-boyfriend to leave me alone.”
“And how did I fit into that little plan of yours.”
“We broke up 6 months ago, but he won’t let me move on keep saying I’m good for his reputation because he’s some mid rank hero.” That peaked Dabi’s interest. He loosed his grip on your chin and took a slight step back wordlessly signaled for you to continue explaining with a flick of his hand.
“We broke up 6 months ago, but it was more like I dumped him because he is an abusive jerk.” You took a deep breath to try and suppress tears of the memories of your past relationship. “It got to the point I wasn’t allowed to have friends because I needed to always be available to him even though he was cheating all the time. When I called him out on the cheating, he just claimed they were very affectionate fans.” Your tone got bitter the more you spoke. “So even after I broke up with him and moved, he would still fallow me or have another hero friend follow me. He broke into my home and would constantly call me even when I was at work. He continued to tell people we were together and because other people never saw the abuse I was labeled as an ungrateful girlfriend.” You could no longer hold in the tears your voice was starting to crack from crying.
“Shhh Shhh- princess don’t waste anymore of your tears on a guy like that.” He tried hard to make his words sound sincere. Dabi knew all too well how corrupt heroes were and so he quickly thought of a way to help make you look more ‘ruined’. At least he would get another taste of you before ridding himself of unnecessary drama. He really did not need more heroes following him around but if his idea worked, even a little, there might not be one following you. It was a win, win, to him.
“You need to save all those tears for the punishment I’m about to give you.”
“Punishment?”
“That right, punishment. You have been a very naughty girl using people like that for your own needs.”
“But I- “
“No buts.” He guides you slowly to lay back on the bed with your feed dangling off at the knees over the edge. “You need to show me how sorry you are for what you have done and take your punishment. Got that?”
“Yes…sir.”
“Good girl.”
Dabi lightly nudged you to sit on the bed by putting his hand atop your shoulders. The bed made a loud creaking sound as your weight caused it to sink. His fingers slowly traced down your body until he finally placed his hands on either one of your thighs.  As he leaned in, he pushed your legs apart. His nose ran up the length of your clothed slit the sensation caused you to let out a breathy moan.
“Wet already and I’ve barely touched you. I told you doll face this is a punishment.” Without wasting a moment Dabi smacked his hand hard on to the top of your feminine parts. You let out a loud sharp scream from the sharp pain. He quickly found your clit and started rubbing slow circles adding pleasure to the dulling pain you felt. His free hand crawled up towards the elastic band of your shorts hooking his fingers under the elastic. With a few shimmies of your shorts your bottom half was soon bare.
“Ooo!” Dabi leaned in and kissed the red handprint he left on your sensitive flesh. For a split second he felt guilty about how hard he hit you but the thoughts of what he was still planning to do was causing a sinister smile to form through his stapled face. “I’m starting to think you enjoy pain.”
“No, it’s not like that I..”, Unable to finish your sentence as a wave of pleasure was building up in you. Dabi no longer cared what you had to say he was more focused on the moans he could pull from you.
Your chest was slight blocking your view of fully seeing Dabi’s face, but you could feel his fingers slowly pumping into you. His lips and tongue swirled and sucked on your hood and clit. The combination was quickly pushing you towards an orgasm. After how long the two of you were intimate the night before your body was already sensitive.
You started to moan out what you though were words saying how you were about to cum but suddenly everything stopped. You sat up slightly in shock to see Dabi licking his finger of your juices with a sinister smirk. It was very quickly obvious he was not going to finish.
“I told you this was a punishment. Now get your things and get out.” With those cold words he stood up with your shorts in his hand. He lazily tossed them at you so dumbfounded by what just happened you nearly loss balance catching them. Dabi walked away from you as you put your clothes back on. He pulled out a cigarette and leaned near the partly opened window. Everything about him was cold again and it twisted you up inside far more than before.
Despite the aching in your shorts and the twisting pain in your chest you managed to gather your bag without crying again. You looked over at Dabi hoping to see some kind of emotion from him, but he turned his gaze away from you. With quick strides you made your way across his tiny apartment and out the front door. To make yourself feel a little better you slammed it shut behind you causing the cheep walls to shake.
Your angry pride filled power walk slowed after you made it a few blocked away. Slowly you shuffled to the nearby bus stop and leaned on the street sign. As you waited for the bus you allowed yourself to quietly let out tears. A mix of regret filled you as you replayed the last 24 hours in your mind. “Dabi..”

Miracle (Lee Jihoon)
Happy birthday @peachy-hoon! A million thank yous will never suffice but I can always give you this! I’m sorry for any mistakes; I literally uploaded this as I finished. And you know, it’s not my best work, but alas.

“And that’s a wrap!” Jihoon spoke into the mic to let Wonwoo know he was done for the day and without waiting for him to leave the recording studio, removed his headphones and stuffed his sweater and whatever he could fit into his backpack and ran out of Universe Factory, the door wide open and leaving his confused, but amused friend to tidy up the small room. In his rush he literally ran into Jeonghan, who ended up throwing all the papers in his hands, and Jihoon, although didn’t like running behind schedule, stayed to help pick up the mess he made.
“Where are you going in such a rush?” The older boy teased, checking the papers he had in his hand to make sure they were all in order and ready for presentation.
“Home.” Not bothering to check the pages, Jihoon handed them over and let Jeonghan sort them out.
“It’s still early, don’t you think? Soonyoung said he still has to go through the choreography and Seungcheol wanted everyone present for the meeting.” The impish smile had formed on Jeonghan’s face before he finished his sentence.
“Soonyoung said he’d record it for me and Seungcheol already told me everything I need to know.” Jihoon searched for his cellphone, groaning internally when he realized that he had left it in the practice room when he dropped the towels off for his clingy friend.
“Aren’t you gonna help me put these back in order?” Jeonghan asked when he saw him walking away.
“You have that handled well enough.”
“I’m missing the first page, and I had it before you knocked me over.”
“Don't do this to me right now Jeonghan.” This time, the groan he let out was external. “I have plans that I can’t break.” Well, he could if he wanted to, but he wasn’t gonna.
“You’re not going anywhere until I find it.”
“It’s under your shoe. I’ll grab it for-move Jeonghan. I need all the time I can get.” Jihoon crouched to pick up the piece of paper.
“Why not just invite Y/N over so you stay a little longer and then you can leave together.” Jeonghan not so subtly moved his foot along with the paper so he wouldn’t take it so easily.
“I don’t think so.” He pushed his older friend, momentarily making him lose his balance and successfully retrieved the paper, squinting his eyes to read it and looking confused. “How is this our fault?”
“It’s not. The CEO is already talking to Jun about it and we’re supposed to see what measures we can take from happening again.”
“Then shouldn’t we talk to Yanan about it? I don’t know why they thought squawking every time their ringtones went off and unnecessarily texting each other throughout the day is our fault.” And both of them were messaging both groups, but he didn’t need to add that part. Instinctively, his hand went to his pockets, ready to make sure his phone stayed on silent, but he remembered he didn’t have it.
“If it gets the CEO off our backs, I don’t care what we have to do.” Jeonghan took out his own mobile device, shutting the noise off as a safety precaution. “I dreamt Yanan was part parrot twice already.” He shuddered at some memory.
“Okay, so I’ll see you tomorrow then. Bright and early and not a minute more. I have a song for you and Mingyu to go through.” He was ready to step past him when Jeonghan grabbed him by the collar and pulled him back slightly.
“Do you really have to go though? This hyung hasn’t eaten lunch and it’s your turn to buy.”
Woozi let out a deep sigh, took out his wallet, smiled briefly at the picture he had of you, and pulled out his debit card, along with the loose change he had. “You know my pin number and this is literally for anything else. ‘Bye.”
“Will Y/N be okay with you staying longer?”
“Yes, but I won’t be.” He turned the other way to head over to the practice room, only instead of seeing Soonyoung, he found Chan in the middle of a choreo practice. “Sorry, I’m just here for my phone.”
Chan hit the pause button on the remote, and gratefully took the towel Jihoon provided. “Oh, uh, I haven’t seen it. Maybe Hoshi hyung took it when he left?”
“Okay, I’ll see you guys tomorrow then.” Although he wasn’t thrilled to be phoneless the rest of the day, he figured that no one important would try to get a hold of him and if he managed to convince you to turn it off, then it’d be foolproof.
“Hyung, what are you today with Y/N that you’re not staying here with us?” Chan wadded up the towel and threw at him when Jihoon shook his head.
“Nothing, for real. I just wanna go home and take a nap on the couch.”
“I don’t believe you, but go ahead and leave us to suffer with our evil CEO and Joshua hyung.”
“I don’t know what you did but I’m glad you did it. Now Bumzu is in charge of getting the chorus done before you leave ton-stop looking at me like that. I’m not abandoning you.”
“You’re leaving us for Y/N.”
“I already had these plans.” And not even his best friends would hold him up.
“Okay fine, don’t tell me what super fun, cool thing you’re gonna do while we just slave away here.”
Jihoon began walking away, backwards and slowly. However, he couldn’t hold back the smirk on his face. “We aren’t doing anything or going anywhere. I’d ask you guys to come over after work to see for yourself, but I don’t wanna.”
“Ever since you and Y/N started dating, you’ve changed.” The fake sniffle Chan let out almost sent Jihoon to the floor but he managed to reach the door and once he took a bow, walked out.
*
Jihoon let himself in quietly, just in case you were asleep or on the phone with someone important to you, but he was greeted with a Stray Kids song coming from the living room. He smiled while he watched “Back Door”, nodding to himself when he saw Bang Chan. He admired the leader, and respected his choices regarding his group, but if anything, it was how much you fawned over him that made him petty. (Not in the sense that whenever you argued, he’d tell you to be with him, but rather he thrived on the idea that if he was with you in public and you came across Chan, Jihoon could always be satisfied in knowing that you were on his arm, and bragging about him.)
He did make a note to remind himself to tell the boys  that your friend wanted Seventeen to do the choreo and if he could just remember it one day, it’d be great.
“Jagi?” He called out so he’d know where you were.
“I’m not home,” was your response and with that, followed the sound of your voice that led him into the kitchen. “You’re early.”
He placed a kiss on your hair and let you finish the dishes while he checked the mail you left on the table. Bills, spam, a few unknown addresses written to you and he could only assume you found more photocards and you’d show them to him later. “How was work?”
“They wanted me to stay a little longer but I told them I couldn’t.”
“So just about the same as me.” He tore up the junk mail, and threw it in the trash. “What’s that smell?” He asked, wrinkling his nose.
“I might have burned the first batch of cookies, while I was in the shower. But don’t worry, thes ones in the oven are almost done and they’ll be good for dinner.” You turned around to wave at him, but he stood up, opened a pack of peach gummies for you and fed you one. “Speaking of, what sounds good?”
He wrapped his arms around you, back hugging you while you resumed your chores. “I’m not hungry right now. How about you throw these in the dishwasher and we can just watch movies and we’ll make food later?”
“Vacuum the living room first and then I’ll go meet you there. I have to clean the bathroom after this and dust my shelves and-” you sighed, “-so much to do.”
“But you’re not working tomorrow. Can’t you do that?”
“I have plans tomorrow and I won’t be home until late.”
“Fine, I’ll help you do our chores so you can finish and then we’ll watch something that Wonwoo swore was good.”
He kissed your cheek, only to jump slightly when you yelled out, “Ateez present!”, followed by, “Turn the TV up. I love this song!”
He nodded but didn’t say anything else, instead running around the apartment with the vacuum cleaner and you occasionally scolding him because you couldn’t hear your favorite songs, and after that, collecting all the trash to throw out so you wouldn’t have to go outside and lose whatever motivation you had. He liked when you had energy like that; it usually made him wonder what other things you had done, like the fact you changed the bedsheets this time, washed his clothes, and baked some dessert. You worked extra hard today and he couldn’t wait to have you sit next to him and watch something that you wouldn’t focus on, but you’d have a good night’s sleep if that happened. He wished he could do what you did in the short amount you’ve been home.
You somehow managed to finish at around the same time, but he could see you weren’t tired because you were teasing the cat with all its toys. (The cat he said he didn’t want when you bought the apartment, but for some reason couldn’t bear parting with the stray so now, he was an active member of the family, but he wasn’t complaining. The feline kept you company when he was gone and it strangely put Jihoon at ease.) “Haha, you’re too slow. Come grab it now.” You picked him up, trying not to wince when one of the claws came out. “Come on pretty boy. You’re gonna watch a movie with us tonight.”
Jihoon was already waiting for you, your favorite blanket ready to be claimed and the snacks ready to be eaten. “Come on Jagi. You don’t know how long I was waiting to do this with you.” He extended his arms wide enough for you to fall into them, and when you did, wrapped them around you, sighing contentedly. “You know I can stay like this forever, right?”
He kissed your forehead when you nodded, and you could feel the tiredness creeping in. He always made your long days a little better and you often wished you could be the beacon of energy he needed, and you tried really hard to be that. Your work’s complaints could wait for another day, but this couldn’t. “Thank you for coming home early.”
You could feel yourself falling asleep a little into the movie, not because you were bored, but because you were so warm and comfortable and you didn;t wanna break your little bubble. Jihoon played with your hair, further lulling you into a slumber and when he placed random kisses on you, you just silently asked for more. So it surprised you when the doorbell rang and you looked at him. “Did you order dinner?”
“No. Did you?” Then came the hard knocking and you recognized it immediately, and you let out a laugh.
“They didn’t,” Jihoon groaned. “I told them no. Just ignore them and they’ll go away.”
“Is that why you turned my phone off earlier?”
“Yes. I don’t always get this time with you.”
“Should I just let them in? You know they won’t stop until we open the door.” You didn’t know how long you stayed liked, but you reluctantly got off of Jihoon and opened the door, him muttering profanities and threatening to put them through hell the next time they were due to record.
“Y/N, you’re here!” Seungkwan pushed through everyone to hug you. “How come you don’t visit us? Don’t you love us anymore?”
“Dude, I’ve been so busy lately. I’m sorry.”
“WAIT!” Chan cried loud enough to wake your neighbors so you put a finger to your lips to quiet him down. “So Hyung was telling the truth when he said you weren;t doing anything?”
“We literally just cleaned the house and we were gonna watch a movie until bed.”
“Wow, you’re not fun.”
You counted all the heads, multiple times, frowning a little when you counted the 12. “I haven’t made dinner and we were just gonna have noodles.”
“Oh good! We’re starving.” Someone pushed Wonwoo and they all rushed inside, quickly making themselves at home. Jihoon shot you an apologetic look and you smiled at him. You enjoyed Seventeen’s company, but Jihoon shook his head, trying to look annoyed at their presence, but the smile he tried to hide was confirmation enough to have them here for a little.
“Everyone is having ramen form the packet and if you don’t like it, then you can go and get your own food.” Your eyes widened when you saw the time on the stove. It felt so much later than it actually was.
“I just wanna know why you guys are here and not at home.”
“Hyung, you invited me earlier, remember? While I was working on the choreo and you were looking for your phone.”
“That reminds me. Catch Woozi!” Soonyoung fished the phone out of his pocket and threw it at his best friend, snickering when he failed to catch it.
“I didn’t invite you. I said I wish I could, but I don’t want to.”
“Well, we’re already here and Y/N said we could stay.”
“But please not so late; I’m working tomorrow. But later this weekend, you can go nuts.”
*
“I thought you weren’t working,” Jihoon asked after the unexpected guests left.
“I’m not, but like you said, we don’t always have time to do this.”
“You’re the best. Go play the movie; I can finish right here. Thank you.”
“For what?”
“Not kicking them out. You could’ve done that.”
“They were already here.” You shrugged. “I guess you guys still need each other sometimes.”
“Still, I appreciate that.” He lightly pushed you to the living room, though you couldn’t actually sit down. There was a small mess you could’ve ignored, but you were already up and you didn’t know how long it’d be until Jihoon finished. Plus it wouldn’t take long, especially since your favorite boy was sound asleep on his tower after Jun and Vernon chased him around.
And you also also had to change Netflix accounts so no one would be confused about anything. Luckily, no one touched your stuff, so you were able to find your spot fairly quickly and Jihoon came by just in time, with two of your cookies in his hand, and handed one to you.
“I love you, you know that?”
He nodded. “Let’s finish watching this, so we can go to sleep.” He flopped on the couch, once again extending his arms to you, where you met him with small pecks and flushed cheeks.
You finally pressed play again, hoping for no more interruptions until the next day, quickly falling into your previous state of almost falling asleep right then and there. “I love you Jihoon,” you mumbled to him again.
He shut his eyes in his euphoric state, letting your words warm him up before he responded to you, quietly enough that not even your favorite boy could hear.
“You are my miracle.”

Leaving my Love Behind Part 2
Bakugo x Reader
Words : 2031
Reader hasn’t seen Bakugo in almost ten years but when her boyfriend goes missing she all but begs him to help her find him and get him back from a notorious gang leader.
************************************************************************
You had insisted you could get an uber back to your place and meet Bakugo somewhere afterwards. You honestly just didn’t want him seeing where you lived. It wasn’t in the nicest neighborhood and you knew he would probably think less of you for living in such a shabby place.
“No that doesn’t make any sense. It just waists time. Just let me give you a ride and we can leave from there.” He had his arms crossed now and his feet set. You knew this stance well. It was his ‘I’m a stubborn ass who isn’t going to budge or compromise in way’ stance. You had seen it many times before, whether it be in training or even on one of the many nights you hung out after class.
“We’re not in high school anymore Bakugo. You can’t just stomp your foot and get your way. I told you I’m fine with meeting up later. I need to shower and pack and you’ll just slow me down by nagging me every 5 minutes about how long I’m taking.” You mirrored his stance, looking him dead in the eye.
He narrowed his eyes and clenched his jaw. You both stood there in awkward silence just staring at each other. Neither of you planning to give in.
Out of nowhere he let off a small controlled explosion off of his palm. The sudden loud noise startling you and making you blink.
“HAH! You blinked! I win, I’m driving. Let’s go.” Bakugo was grabbing his keys as he slipped his shoes on.
Your mouth gaped as your eyebrows knit together, “You CHEATER!”
He just shrugged as he held the door open waiting for you to follow him out of the apartment, “Look at who’s stomping their foot now? Stop being such a brat and let’s get moving. You’re burning daylight.”
You made your way to the door, stopping just before you crossed the threshold looking at his feet. “Fine… Just… Just don’t judge me okay? Not all of us get paid an obscene amount of money to play hero.”
You could feel him tense up a little before giving you a light shove through the door. “Joke’s on you because I’d make fun of you regardless.” He turned to lock the door behind him. “But because you asked so nicely, I’ll call a temporary truce until after we’ve left your house.”
He followed your directions back to your place. His grip on the steering wheel getting tighter the closer he got. He had promised to not say anything, but he also hadn’t expected it to be this bad. The thought of you living here made his skin crawl. But what really got to him was the overwhelming guilt churning in his stomach knowing that this was somewhat his fault. What you did for him all those years ago allowed him to live his dream as a hero, but it had also condemned you to this life. When you said he owed you yesterday in the rain, you were right. He did owe you, and it wasn’t until now that he realized just how much.
He finally pulled into a visitor spot outside your apartment building. Your fingers nervously fidgeted with the edge of your shirt, “Uh, you can just wait here. I won’t be too long. Fifteen minutes tops.”
He gulped. On one hand he didn’t want to leave his car here unattended, but on the other hand he didn’t really want to leave you unattended either. Knowing you’d never let him in if he was being overprotective, he told a white lie. “If you don’t mind, I’d like to come inside. I need to use the bathroom.”
You hovered with one foot out of the car. “Sure. I guess that’s fine. Just like I said before, try not to judge me. I know that goes against every cell in your body, but please try.”
He followed closely behind you and you could almost feel the disapproval rolling off of him in waves. You had to walk up 3 flights of stairs before reaching your floor and the whole time you were trying to remember what state you had left you place in? Had you remembered to wash the dishes in the sink? Or were they still ‘soaking’? Had you put your clean laundry away or were they still in a pile on your couch? Did you even remember to take the trash out? You were in an absolute spiral.
You took a deep breath while giving him one last pleading look before unlocking your door. You tried to hold the door close to you as you peaked in, in an awkward attempt to check the status of your living space while hiding it from Bakugo’s view.
Impatient as ever he huffed as he pushed the door all the way open. “Tch. Let’s just get this over with.” You glared at him but all he did was shrug, “What? I told you I needed to take a piss.”
You rolled your eyes before pointing in the direction of your bathroom. “It’s that door there. I’ll pack first, and I’ll shower when you’re done.” Without waiting for a response, you sprinted to your room and started packing. You didn’t know what you would need but you tried to stay practical and pack light. The only thing you packed that wasn’t an absolute necessity was your switch so you could kill time while on the road. It didn’t take up much space so it should be fine.
You took one last glance around your room. You made a silent promise that the next time you were here, it would be with Kiyo back home and safe.
You rejoined Bakugo who was being busy being nosy. “Does Bilbo live here with you?” He picked up a picture of you as a child and studied it.
You groaned as you took the picture back from him and put it back in its place. “Yes. KIYO does live here as well. Why?”
He didn’t seem to like that answer. But he just shrugged, “No reason. Just found it odd that there’s no pictures of him. Or like any evidence at all that a guy even lives here.”
You pushed past him on the way to the bathroom, “I don’t know what you’re suggesting, but he does live here. In fact, he paid for most of the furniture.” You slammed the bathroom door a little harder than necessary. What was he trying to imply? You couldn’t put your finger on it, but it made you uncomfortable anyways.
Your shower was quick. You were in a hurry to get on the road. You braided your wet hair before once again rejoining Bakugo who this time was rummaging through your refrigerator. “What are you looking for?”
His head had been so deep in the fridge he hadn’t heard you coming and he jumped slightly at the sound of your voice making his bump his head on the door. “Shit! Don’t sneak up on me like that!”
You leaned on the kitchen counter putting your head in your hand. “I thought you were supposed to have some crazy bionic hearing now or something.”
He looked at you like you had two heads, “That’s not how hearing aids work dumbass. I hear better with them then I do normally, but I can’t hear shit normally so…” You could feel a blush hint at the tips of your ears. You didn’t mean to upset him. “I was looking for anything we could take with us as road snacks but… you have like no food here that’s not microwavable.”
“What did I say about judging me?”
He raised his hands in defense. “I wasn’t judging, just making an observation. I personally could never live on such a disgusting diet. But then again you never really did care what you put in your mouth.”
You picked up the closest thing to you which happened to be a bag of chips. This teasing wasn’t anything new. This is how you used to be in high school. The two of you had been best friends, practically inseparable at one point in your lives. He was a hot head and you were sassy. You fed off each other’s toxic energy and were always either fighting or joking with each other, and if you were being honest there was rarely a difference between the two.
He caught the chips without a problem, “I’m sorry y/n. I was wrong… you do have something that’s not microwavable.”
You just glared at him. “I refuse to stoop to your level, you immature porcupine. Can we just get going already? You were the one crying about burning daylight earlier.”
You could see he was trying to hide the smirk on his face, “Oh yeah, for sure. We can get gong as soon as you tell me where it is we’re going.”
You opened your mouth to respond, but then you realized you actually didn’t know. “Uh… I was kind of hoping you would have a lead. I mean you told me you were already investigating Big Shadow right? Where do you think we should start?”
He rolled his eyes as he pulled the map function on his phone. “Okay so there’s five known places that he and his men operate out of. A casino, a restaurant, an auto shop, a bar, and a strip club. I say we check them out one by one and see what we find out.”
You nodded as you looked all the locations he had marked on the map and pointed to the restaurant. “I think this one is probably the closest to his last known location.”
Bakugo narrowed his eyes, “That also happens to be the furthest one from us. By like a lot. That’s half a day’s drive from here. What the hell was he doing all the way out there?”
“He works for some security company. He installs security systems. Sometimes he has to travel really far to do it.” You shrugged as if that wasn’t suspicious.
The more Bakugo learned about your boyfriend the more his suspicions grew. Cheeto probably had a secret side job that wasn’t exactly legal and Bakugo think’s he pissed off the wrong guy. You would be lucky if you even found him alive, but he wasn’t going to tell you that. You needed the closure.
So that’s how you found yourself back in his car playing 20 questions. He had said it would help pass time while also catching up on what you guys had missed out on the past few years. You were hesitant at first because the Bakugo you knew was never the talkative or sharing type. So, the fact that not only was he willing to play this stupid game but was his idea., well that really freaked you out.
Little did you know he was using this game to basically integrate you to learn more about your shady boyfriend. It grated on his nerves how happy you guy while talking about him. How your eyes lit up as you said his name. He tried to convince himself it was because you were his friend and he didn’t want to see you get hurt by some asshole. But deep down he had to admit there was a more logical source for this irritation. There was a chance he was jealous.
Bakugo had had a crush on you almost all through high school up until the day you were forced to drop out. He didn’t see or talk to you after that. The guilt ate him alive that he never even tried. Part of him wondered what would have happened if he had. Would your life be any different now? Would you still be living on the shitty end of town with a dead-beat boyfriend and an empty fridge?
He’d be true to his word. He was going to help you find your boyfriend. But he was also going to help you realize all the ways you don’t need him. He was going to use this time to remind you who you are. A strong ass independent women.

Morning In New York
TV SHOW : THE QUEENS GAMBIT COUPLE: BENNY WATTS X READER  RATING: SUGGESTIVE SMUT ISH
Tumblr media
I woke up gently with a wide smile on my face as I often did, I pushed the arms off me and climbed out of bed onto the ice-cold concrete floor, I opened the glass door with a creak heading out into the apartment setting the kettle on the stove and turning on the shower letting it heat up as I ran back to my room grabbing my underwear and my dress hanging it all up on the strangely shaped lamp. I jumped in the shower throwing my nightie to the floor scrubbing my body as much as I could with the slither of soap we had left and washed my hair jumping out and drying off with my towel before throwing it in the washing machine with my nightie as I got dressed into my dress and made coffee leaving it on the side next to the kettle, grabbing my handbag and scurrying my little feet to the front door locking it behind me. I climbed the little dirty steps out to the bustling New York street almost dancing my feet in my little kitten heels down the pavement in the whistling wind as it pushed orange and red leaves down the street with me hearing the noise of the city, of cars or people, of music playing from the shops as I got close to them as shopkeeps were opening up brushing dirt from the shops into there street the bags of trash everywhere and random people starting to walk about, I began to spot over ladies in similar dresses heading to the shops too. I scurried into the market going around getting my shopping list from my handbag grabbing everything we needed and a few things we did it mostly because they were cheap, as soon as I was done at the market I paid and grabbed the brown paper bag holding it close to my chest, hurting back down the pavement, I popped my head into the pharmacy grabbing some cigarettes and some other bits I needed
"Ohh here you go Y/n, save benny coming in later," He says handing me a couple of chess revies that had come out since we had been away
"Ohh thanks, joe" I smiled taking and paying shoving it all in my paper bag with everything else and heading down the road grabbing the parking ticked on the beetle sighing as I did. heading carefully down the little steps to the apartment unlocking it going inside to hear the little noise of the record player gently turning playing a little song I looked in and smiled seeing benny sat at his table setting up a chessboard, in his jeans and the flowery robe I swear I once owned, Well I suppose it's his now. He turned seeing me come in as I shut the door with my hip his hair hung in his eyes in matted bed head that desperately needed brushing the coffee I made this morning sat next to his board half-drunk "Morning Benny"
"Morning" He answered concentrating on whatever it was he was doing today
I went to the fridge unpacking my shopping putting everything away in the kitchen hiding my cigarettes away in my pocket putting the magazines on the table and grabbing the little bar of chocolate I bought at the market secretly slipping it next to the board He saw and smiled a little bit before I could move away he grabbed my hips pulling me to sit across his lap
"Ahhh benny!" I giggled in shock at being suddenly on his lap "Hello"
"Hello," He smiled giving my cheek a kiss "what's this?" he asked as he now had my cigarettes in his hand
"How did you-"
"Never you mind How," He warns glaring at me
"I was just passing" I shrug
"One" He warns opening the pack taking out one cigarette and giving it to me and then putting the rest of the pack on the table "I check that pack and you've had anymore your in trouble"
"I know, Thank you benny" I smiled giving him a kiss and going to make my own coffee "what did you get up to while I was gone anyway?"
"Ohh You know... I was busy"
Tumblr media
I groaned forcing my eyes open with the alarm blaring at me, I forced myself to move hitting the stupid thing as hard as I physically could getting out of bed putting my feet on the cold floor I grabbed a pair of clean underwear from the draw and slipping my jeans on and stretching grabbing my robe from the door wondering out to the living room stumbling over to the kitchen to make a coffee but as I was about to pick up the kettle I saw a cup of coffee sat on the side still steaming so I smiled and took it leaning on the counter sipping the coffee till my eyes cleared and I could start to think straight, I put my coffee down going to the fridge to see what was in there... eggs? EH, I don't want eggs, Apple juice? Ooh! I grabbed the carton and tried to drink some but I held it upside down and one single drop came out so I sighed throwing it in the bin and grabbing the carton of milk having a drink of that wiping my mouth and putting it back where it was, I grabbed a bit a cheese from the back of the fridge having a little bit that broke off in my hand, putting it back and then grabbing the cake y/n made the other week cutting a slice and eating that too, "Umm... I'm still hungry" I sighed checking the bathroom but it was empty... Guess I'm home alone? I put the record player on letting it play whatever the hell was already in it, as I went back to my bedroom looking around for a clean shirt to wear but I kept eyeing up my empty bed so I smirked slipping my robe off jumping back into bed slipping my hand under my jeans moving my hand as fast as I could trying not to get it over with already and as soon as I was done I turned over having a little nap. By the time I woke up again, I sighed getting my robe back on sitting at the table to play some tournament practise having a little more coffee just as the door opened to y/n in her little blue dress and shoes with a brown bag of shopping oooohh she got food.
"Morning Benny" she smiled
"Morning" I smiled to her she went to the kitchen putting everything she bought away, I kept an eye on her trying to see what she got in her shopping luckily she didn't notice the cake I stole, and I spotted out the corner of my eye her slip a pack of cigarettes in her pocket I forced my eyes back to the board to make it look like I didn't see as she came over putting a bar of chocolate on the table I smiled a little at her she went o move but I put my arm around her pulling her to sit on my lap
"Ahhh Benny!" she complains giggling a little as she wasn't expecting it, "Hello" she smiled as she calmed down I snuck the cigarettes out her pocket
"Hello," I told her slightly looking down her dress giving her a little soft kiss "What's this?" I asked showing her the pack and she looked panicked
"How did you-
"Never you mind how" I warn her watching her very carefully as she thought
"I was just passing" she shrugs clearly lying to me
"One" I warn her opening the pack and getting one cigarette out handing it to her and putting the rest in a very obvious spot on the table "I check that pack and you've had anymore You're in trouble" I warn her looking at her straight in the eye so she knows I'm serious
"I know" she blushed "Thank you benny" she smiled giving me a kiss too and going to make a cup of coffee for herself "what did you get up to while I was gone anyway?" she asks
I smirked to myself a little "Ohh You know...  I was busy"
"Ohh yeah benny doing what?" she asks coming to sit with me on the other side of the table with her coffee and her cigarette getting her little silver lighter from her pocket
"None of your business little lady" I smirked "and where did you get that?" I asked looking at her lighter
"Your sock draw" she smiled
"better find a new hiding place" I sighed taking it out her hand and putting it in my pocket
“Ohh Benny Please” she whines pouting at me trying to look all sad an innocent but she knew as I kept my face as stern as before crossing my arms across my chest “Ooohhh Pretty Please Benny” she whines moving a little to let me see down her dress I glanced down a couple of times a hint of a smile breaking though moving her foot up my leg suggestively
“Fine, After” I told her getting up picking her up with me and tugging hr back to bed...

Winterspider prompt if you're game! There's a meme about a poor college student being robbed; the robber, upon learning just h o w poor, stopping and giving the (empty) wallet back and being sincerely concerned. "You... you live like this?" What if the winter soldier/bucky barnes breaks into struggling college student Peter parker's apt and all his pre-serum steve instincts are triggered by the state of the place and how /tiny/ Peter is (abo/soulmates/soulmarks/werewolf au for spice up to you)
Chapter One | Chapter Two | Chapter Three | Chapter Four | Chapter Five
This prompt came into my house and stole my money. This is CHAPTER ONE. Because I was so inspired that I’m officially making this my first multichap fic. I hope this will appease you for now…And I hope you can forgive me for making it winterironspider (I’m a sucker for starker/winteriron so it all just clicked together nicely). Please come back into my inbox and let me know what you think so far.
Warnings in this chapter: graphic descriptions of being poor. Bucky says fuck A LOT. Peter is 24 but Bucky keeps calling him “kid” because he’s so small. Sickness. 4.1k
-
Bucky can pick a lock in ten seconds flat.
It’s a science: tension wrench goes into the keyhole, the slightest torque is applied, then his favorite pick—the Bogota with three rakes, as of late—goes in and he scrubs the hell out of it until the plug turns. Easy as fucking pie.
The hard part (and he’s not counting the guilt, the horror he would feel if Tony ever discovered how Bucky makes the money he uses to buy his lover trinkets) is scoping out the right apartments. He sticks to NYU residence halls, early mornings and late at nights because the security is usually lax enough to let him through without even checking his ID—if they ask? Oh fuck, I left my wallet in my Uber. Maybe he hasn’t left yet, one sec—and then he’s out of there.
Today, it’s the Lafayette Hall between China Town and TriBeCa, reserved for graduate students seeking their Master’s Degrees in science fields.
It should be empty. On campus is an expo featuring innovators from Sphere Fluidics, Fasmatech, AcouSort, and NanoTemper Technologies which—according to the flier Bucky read online—are huge names in the science industry, all displaying their scientific discoveries from the last business year and scouting for fresh blood.
Any science major worth a shit will be there, he imagines. But it’s mandatory for NYU grad students. Score.
Content that the apartments will more than likely be empty, Bucky chooses the first hit at random after taking the elevator up: apartment 2B. It’s furthest away from the security camera at the other end of the hall—not that Bucky has ever left behind a reason for those cameras to be checked. It’s the principle of the thing, really. He keeps his back turned, hair in his face, both hands gloved (thank God it’s always cold and dreary in NYC, so his gloved hands don’t draw any attention) while he scrubs the lock. It takes him no longer than it might for anyone with a legitimate key, and then the door is open and he is in.
Bucky can see decently in the dark, the light from the hallway disappearing as the door is carefully closed behind him. Holding his breath, he stills himself, calls upon his enhanced senses, and listens: but there are no sounds coming from the apartment. Empty.
Then he actually takes in the place, and he realizes that that word fits in multiple ways.
The apartment is vacant, he thinks at first. There is the basic furniture all the NYU apartments come with: a refrigerator, a couch, a coffee table. But there is no television, no end tables. There are no curtains on the window across the room—and wow, what a lovely view of the brick building across the alley. The entire place smells musty and unused. Maybe it really is empty—
But no. Little signs of life appear. There are shoes by the door, ones that saw better days many, many days ago. On the wall, a photograph is tacked there, unframed, of two boys on either side of a pretty, dark skinned girl. A plastic grocery sack is dangling off of the drawer handle of one kitchen cabinet, sagging with contents that he can’t make out through the opaque plastic.
Someone does live here, they’re just terrible at decorating.
With careful, silent steps, Bucky moves deeper into the apartment. He doesn’t bother looking for a wallet—that will be with the owner—but usually there is money somewhere else. If he’s really lucky, he’ll find whatever he’s looking for.
Today, he wants blank CD’s. Last night, Tony showed him a movie where the teenage love interest burned—(“why’s it called that, Tony? You don’t burn the thing, do you?”)—a CD with love songs. It was real romantic shit; something Bucky never got to do. Something that he longs to do with this amazing man in his life. He can imagine the look on Tony’s face when he listens to a compilation of all the awesome music he’s introduced Bucky to, and it makes his heart race.
The Best Buy downtown sells a pack of five CD’s for $6.99 plus tax which brings the total to $7.61. That’s all that he needs. He could probably take that and more from any one of these apartments and the occupants would never notice. He isn’t hurting anyone. He doesn’t want to hurt anyone.
Then—jackpot. On the counter is a line of change: neat stacks of quarters and dimes, taller piles of nickels and pennies. Palming it, he cups one hand under the counter and slides the coins home into his hand. A quick count tells him that it’s just $2.30. It’s probably change for the vending machines downstairs, maybe fare for the bus. Nothing that will break this grad student’s bank.
For a moment he contemplates leaving the apartment. He’s almost got a third of what he needs for the CD’s. But breaking into another apartment just escalates the risks he takes, unnecessarily so when the rest of the money could very well be in the bedroom or even in the pocket of some jeans resting on the bathroom floor. No. He’ll press on.
Walking silently, he brings up the floorplan of the apartments in his mind (NYU had all that shit online; didn’t they know how unsafe it was? This world made information so available). The bedroom is on the left, past the kitchen. In the dim light through the window, he can see the door, open, a dark gaping mouth that he slips through soundlessly. It is even darker here, and he stands still waiting for his eyes to adjust further. It’d be no good to go fumbling around in the dark, knocking into furniture.
It only took moments, but as soon as he could make out dim shapes, he heard it. A little whimper. The rustling of sheets. Everything in him went still except for the blood in his veins, propelled by his furiously pounding heart. Someone is here. Bucky broke into an occupied apartment. He is standing in the doorway to a bedroom and there is someone sleeping in the bed.
He gets a glimpse before he can slink back into the living room, and what he sees stops him in his tracks. It is a boy—or a very small man, perhaps, considering these apartments are for graduate students only. The boy is wearing just a pair of boxers, some dark color—red or navy or even black, perhaps, since colors are distorted in this low light—but there is no hiding or distorting how thin he is. The shadows between his ribs are little valleys to the pale, jutting mountains of bone, rising with his fast, shallow breaths. The collarbones protrude, limbs fine-boned and so skinny that Bucky could probably wrap his fingers around an entire ankle or bicep. His face is smushed against one pillow so features are indistinguishable, but the mop of messy curls on top is unmistakable.
There is no bed. There is no bedframe, no mattress, no box spring. A pile of threadbare blankets and sheets are entwined into a makeshift nest, like the kid is some little bird.
After taking in the sights, he takes in the smell. It’s strong—damp and musty, like the windows have never been opened. The pungent scent of sweat. The overly sweet scent of cough syrup, though the two bottles on the nightstand are upended and empty.
Mostly, the acrid smell of sickness. A bucket is beside the bed, and the smell of vomit gets stronger the closer he comeswhy is Bucky walking forward? He should be walking away, far, far away.
The boy whimpers again, rolling onto his back more. Sweat coats his skin, and the rapid rise and fall of his chest is even more pronounced in this position, tummy a hollow little thing. This boy is sick, very sick from the smell and the heat that Bucky can feel when he places his hand above the boy’s head, hovering over the skin.
“Ben!” The boy shrieks. Bucky jerks away and nearly topples the trash bin of vomit. His heart is pounding, thinking I’m so sorry Tony, so sorry that I’m going to get caught and get arrested and that you’re the only person in the world I’ll have to call, and if you don’t want to bail me out I’ll understand, I really will—but the boy sleeps on, lips moving. He is dreaming the feverish dreams of the sick.
Carefully, Bucky stands. He backs from the room. On his way out, he takes in more details even if he doesn’t want to: a name-badge for the building and NYU campus (which he takes, which he should have seen on his way in and known that it would be wherever the student was—complacent, he’s gotten too fucking complacent), the silver duct tape on the bottom of the kid’s shoes which holds them together. The past-due notices on the refrigerator. The paper plate resting in the sink, plastic cutlery that has been washed and re-used countless times. The kid is poor. So fucking poor.
And he can’t help that it reminds him of another sickly poor boy from nearly a hundred years ago. He remembers it like it was yesterday, fuzzy memories that Princess Shuri helped turn clear: a thin pale Captain America, the chest-deep coughs that would rattle his whole frame when he was sick, sitting by his best friend’s side through the night just to mop his brow and make sure he didn’t choke on his own sick. His stomach aches, twisting inside out with phantom hunger pains. Stepping into that apartment made him feel like he’d entered a time machine back to the Great Fucking Depression.
Another thought comes: what if the kid needs a fucking ambulance? What if he’s in there, brain frying from his fever? What if he throws up and aspirates? That will be on Bucky. There’s no way that he can walk away from this—not if it could add an(other) life, like a notch, to his murderous bedpost.
Palms sweating, he looks down at the badge he left with. Peter B. Parker. It’s a cute name—Bucky’s always had sort of a thing for alliteration. The picture of the kid is shy with the closed-lip smile and the rampant curls falling onto his forehead. He was skinny to begin with, but not malnourished like he is now. The badge will let him come in through the back doors. Because apparently he is planning on coming back.
Bucky pulls out his cellphone, mostly unused, and makes a call. While he talks, he takes the stairs down so that he doesn’t lose the call in the elevator.
Tony picks up on the second ring. “Hey Bucky, everything alright?”
“Why wouldn’t it be?” In the background he can hear the sound of a door closing, and Tony’s voice grows more familiar, softer and more comfortable. He must have been around company but left.
“You only ever call if you’re about to break the law,” Tony says fondly.
Is he really so predictable? Well, in this case, he’s already broken the law, though that’s hardly a point that he wants to make. “No. it’s—nothing like that. I was just wondering about the credit card you gave me.”
“Oh? Thinking about blowing the dust off it?”
“Yeah,” Bucky mutters. He hates it—hates being like the other million people in Tony’s life who just take his money. The fear that this man who has helped Bucky salvage himself, salvage the will to live life, to carve out a life he wants to live…the fear that he’ll think Bucky is just with him for the money is unconquerable. Tony gave him the leather wallet and the credit card years ago, and Bucky has never once used it. “Just a bit. Twenty dollars. Thirty at the most, Tony, and I swear I’ll pay you back—”
“Hey, hey, no need for the freaking out. Mi dinero es su dinero, polar bear. Buy whatever you need.” He pauses. “Are you in any trouble? I don’t know if you need me to emphasize this, but there’s probably no trouble you can imagine that I can’t get a person out of.”
“I’m not in trouble,” he says, hoping Tony doesn’t notice the unconscious inflection on the word I’m. “But I’ll remember that. I promise.”
“Okay. Great. That’s all I need to hear. Thai, tonight?”
Bucky can’t help but smile. He pushes open the back door to the building and steps out into the street, angling his face away from the security camera at the alley entrance on instinct. The wind is blistery, whipping his hair around his face. “I’ll be there.”
Tony hums. “I can hardly wait.”
They exchange declarations of love and say goodbye. Bucky feels a little choked up, how he always feels after hearing Tony say that he loves him. His eyes sting—but that’s just the wind. Honest. Down the street is a pharmacy and Bucky ducks in, head down. There’s an entire aisle for cold medicines, and he takes far too long examining all the bottles. Thank God there are ones that seem to treat everything: headaches, fever, nausea, cough. Everything except for the kid’s destitution.
He sees the chicken noodle soup and he grabs some of that as well.
Checking out is awkward; Bucky slides the card upside down at first. Then he’s unsure: credit or debit? He clicks credit since it’s first, but then he has to sign and he has a new dilemma. Should he forge Tony’s signature or put down his own? The card has his name on it, but it’s Tony’s money. In the end, he writes his own name. Forging feels too…familiar.
With less than twenty dollars spent, he trudges back down the block to the apartment building, and it isn’t until he’s swiping the key to get into the back door that he realizes he has no fucking idea what he’s going to do. Knock on the kid’s door? Hey, I broke in earlier and saw you were sick and out of medicine, here’s some. I’ll put the change I stole back on the counter. Sorry to fucking bother you?
Bucky Barnes, former assassin for Hydra, absolute dumbass.
Absolute persistent dumbass. Because he knocks on the door. He really fucking does. And when no one answers, he knocks again and again until he hears movement on the other side of the door (a chest-rattling cough that makes him shudder) then the door is cracked open and a bloodshot, honey-brown eye is staring out at him.
“Hi,” Peter croaks. His voice is wrecked, and it immediately does things to Bucky. Things that are wrong, especially considering that his voice isn’t croaky because of a cock nudging too persistently at the back of his throat, but because he is fucking sick. “Can I help you?”
“I’m here to help you,” Bucky says. Peter’s eyebrows furrow. It’s cute. He’s wearing a shirt that is far too large for him, and pajama pants so long they slip down past the backs of his heels. “I’m—visiting one of your neighbors down the hall. You’re keeping everyone up with your cough, kid. I brought you some medicine.”
Peter opens the door wider, so that Bucky is seeing all of him instead of just a two-inch section. He rests against the doorframe because he’s swaying, struggling to keep on his feet, and he is so tiny, so, so tiny. The smell of him is foul, but Bucky would never mention it. “Gosh,” Peter says, and Bucky is horrified to see tears, real fucking tears fill his eyes. “I didn’t know I was keepin’ everybody up.”
“Whoa, whoa,” Bucky says. People say that, sometimes, to horses that are likely to buck off their rider or men who pull out guns in gas stations. Bucky figures that he should probably use either of those situations as reference for what to do now, because how to comfort a crying kid was not in the Winter Soldier’s repertoire. “Don’t shoot.” Fuck. Try again. “I mean—it’s not your fault. You’re sick. Obviously.”
Fat tears roll down Peter’s cheeks. It impedes his breathing even more, until Bucky is afraid that he’s going to choke on his own phlegm. When he speaks, he tries to keep his voice even and clear through his hitching breaths. The shirt slips off his shoulder, bones protruding. “I-I-I know. It hit m-me a-all of the sudden. But now it won’t go away.”
“Have you tried going to the doctor?”
Peter’s smile is downright tragic. He looks like he wants to reach out and pat Bucky on the cheek, call him a sweet summer child, ask him what pipe he smoked to have such a dream. “I d-don’t have insurance. I’m still trying to p-pay off my debt from last year when I had my tonsils removed.”
“And they—what—they won’t treat you? Just because you needed treating once before? They’re fucking doctors!”
“I know,” Peter whines, rubbing a wrist at his leaking nose. The door opens even wider. “Would you like to come in?”
Bucky sees the irony. He really does. A half hour ago, he was in this apartment robbing the kid. Now he’s standing at the kitchen counter watching Peter make ramen noodles (“my aunt always said that when someone is in your house, you should treat them like they live there”). He nearly burns his hand on the pan, and that’s when Bucky moves to take over, stirring when appropriate, adding a packet of flavoring. Peter pulls one bowl down from the cabinet—the cabinet that is unbearably empty from the quick glimpse Bucky gets of it.
“I only have one bowl, I’m sorry,” Peter says, face red, eyes downcast. His hands shake while he ladles the soup and noodles in. He gives Bucky one of the plastic spoons—it’s clean, he knows—but the whole thing is so fucking sad. When Peter glances over the counter, muttering something about some missing rent money, that’s it. That’s it for Bucky.
I’m taking him home with me, he thinks, nudging his spoon against the noodles in his bowl.
“I’m Peter, by the way,” the kid introduces himself. Then his face goes white, shaking intensifies. “Excuse me.”
Bucky hears him vomiting even through the walls between them. There isn’t much to come up, but the retching lasts forever it seems, the boy dissolving back into tears. Instinct says to go to him, but Bucky doesn’t want to be anymore of a fucking creep than he already is. When the vomiting turns to coughing and then to gasping, Bucky decides fuck it. He is a fucking creep. But he’s not going to let the kid pass out and crack open his head.
Peter is in the bathroom, bowed over the toilet, curls matting to his forehead with his fever. Bucky goes through drawers until he finds a washcloth and wets it from the sink, the water stinking of iron, to at least dab at the back of the kid’s neck. He shivers, but sighs into it, his wheezing breaths slowing.
When at last he leans back, his cheeks are red and wet. “Thanks,” he croaks. Bucky just mops at his forehead, avoiding the comical look of relief and pleasure on his face.
“You need a doctor.”
“Can’t afford it,” Peter mutters, reaching out to flush the toilet. Bucky practically carries him back to the kitchen-living room combo, setting him down on the threadbare couch.
“I’ll pay,” Bucky says. Then he winces—because it isn’t really his money. It’s Tony’s money. How can he just promise Tony’s money to this kid? But he can pay Tony back. No matter how long it takes or how hard he has to work. He’s got decades and decades left to live. He’ll spend them all trying to repay Tony’s kindness and love as it is. What is this one extra debt?
“What?” Peter asks, his eyes glassy with fever. “You can’t.”
“Why not?”
“A trip to the doctor costs hundreds of dollars, not to mention if I’m really sick, I’ll need medicine which will cost even more. I’m not taking that kind of money from you.”
“I’m rich,” he half-lies.
Peter looks him up and down, the worn boots, the soft but unremarkable jeans, the gloves that he’s still wearing even though they are indoors. While he doesn’t look destitute, the idea comes across loud and clear: Bucky sure doesn’t fucking look rich.
He sighs. “Fine. It’s my boyfriend. He’s rich.”
“You want me to take your boyfriend’s money? I’m—what? I don’t know you. I don’t even know your name.”
“My name is Bucky,” says Bucky. “And my boyfriend is Tony Stark.”
Peter’s mouth clicks shut. His eyes clear a little, the name cutting through the sickness. “Tony Stark.”
“Yeah.”
“The billionaire.”
Bucky can feel himself smile against his will. “Genius, billionaire, philanthropist, superhero. Yeah, he’s the one.”
Peter reaches out and puts his burning hand against Bucky’s forehead. “Maybe you’re the one who is sick,” he teases weakly.
“I’m serious,” Bucky says. He pulls out his phone and Googles it—hopes the kid doesn’t see the tab of Lafayette Hall dorm room floor plans that was previously open. Then he brings up the tabloids. He and Tony aren’t in the news as often as they were years ago when they first started leaving the Tower together to do couple-things, but the articles last forever. There’s a nice one detailing all about Tony’s promiscuous love life, how everyone thought the bisexual ways of his youth were just a phase. Until Bucky.
The pictures are clear. Peter’s eyes nearly pop out of his head. “You’re dating Tony Stark. Oh my god. I’m—I’m his biggest fan. Oh my god. I think I’m going to pass out. I’ve—” the kid goes red as a beet, “I’ve had a crush on him since I was like, like this tall.”
Judging by the height of his hand when he holds it up, Peter’s been harboring his crush on Tony since ever. And yeah, Bucky gets it. His lips can’t help but quirk upwards—Peter is so fucking cute, even with he way his cheeks are hollow, eyes sunken. He lights up when he talks about Tony. Bucky is the same way. Tony inspires that in people.
“I’ll pay for you to go to the doctor. See? I can afford it.”
Peter gnaws at his lower lip. “But why? I don’t get it. Because I’m keeping everyone on the floor up? That doesn’t—this is weird.”
“Because you remind me of someone I used to know. My best friend, from when I was a kid. He’s—he’s not around now. But you two would have gotten along well, I think. And he would’ve kicked me in the ass if he knew I just walked away when I knew you need help.” He can see the indecision on the kid’s face, the wavering teeter-totter of what he wants to say (yes yes yes) versus what he thinks he should say (no, but thank you). Bucky has an ace up his sleeve: “Why don’t you come back to the Tower with me? Meet Tony. He’ll tell you all this himself.”
“I couldn’t!” Peter nearly shrieks. He coughs, and Bucky waits patiently for him to finish.
“You could. You totally could. You will. I’ll call a car—”
“Oh my god,” Peter whispers under his breath, his whole tiny body going lax and weak like a woman from Victorian times, likely to swoon at any moment. Where are Bucky’s smelling salts? “Oh my god,” he says, soft and to himself. “I’m going to meet Tony Stark.”
Bucky can’t help it. He grins, pats awkwardly at the kid’s shoulder—and Jesus, he’s a tiny little thing, still burning up under Bucky’s grip. “He’s going to be thrilled to meet you.”
-
Peter insists on showering and changing his clothes. Bucky steps out into the hallway to call Tony back and warn him—and ask him to send Happy or one of the self-driving cars. Anything to avoid taking a cab or the subway.
“Twice in one day,” Tony says when he picks up the phone, forgoing a greeting. “Aren’t I a lucky man?”
“I’m the lucky man, ‘s far as I can tell,” Bucky says lowly. If he closes his eyes, he can imagine Tony’s expression, the ridiculous fond face he makes when he looks at Bucky. “I had a favor to ask of you, though. A big one.”
“Anything for you, frosted flake.”
“Send a car to the address that I text you? And—order Thai for three?”

Carrying the Moon
Chapter 18
"I can't believe you're making us doing this, just a week before the wedding." "It's not my fault if our shitty landlord got pissed and kicked us out."
It was early March when Jens and Lucas had decided to start looking for a new, larger apartment. They were no longer students and could afford a house that was bigger than a studio. Things had moved very quickly when a flat in Sander and Robbe's building was vacated, and the two boys had immediately rented it. The problems arose when Jens and Lucas told their old landlord that they were leaving. He was so furious that had given them three days to pack their stuff and return the apartment as they had found it. Thus, at that moment, a week before Robbe and Sander's wedding, the four of them (and Hero, of course), were clearing out the small studio together. Robbe and Jens were packing everything up, while Sander and Lucas were painting the walls.
"You don't seem sad to leave, Luc." "Why should I be?" "You got tons of memories here with Jens. It was your first home together." "I share those memories with Jens, who is my home. These four walls are just... walls."
Lucas kept painting the wall, as if he hadn't just said out loud the sweetest thing ever, while Sander looked at him chuckling, thinking about how much his best friend had changed for the better. Hearing that sentence, Jens walked over to Lucas and hugged him tightly. It was nice to hear him talk in that way about their relationship, after all, they had been through during the previous year. Things were back to normal, maybe they were even better than before, now that they had learned to communicate.
"Jens! I have paint all over my clothes. You’ll get dirty." "I don't care."
The boy smiled and pressed his lips to Lucas's, preventing him from arguing. Robbe and Sander gave each other a knowing look, while Hero ran to his uncles, hugging their legs, wanting to be included in that little moment of affection. * It was almost dark outside when they finished carrying the last load of boxes to the new apartment, while the paint was drying. Lucas looked around, with a satisfied expression on his face and smiled.
"This place was trash, but it turned out so cute, eventually. Imagine what I can do with the new apartment." "Sooner or later Robbe and I are going to ask for your help." "Really? I'd be honored."
Taking turns, Lucas and Sander washed themselves in the small bathroom, then wore clothes without paint stains on them, and once finished changing, they found Robbe, Jens, and Hero waiting for them to leave together. Their faces looked tired, but it was understandable since they also had to take care of the child.
"There you are! We’re still on time to hand back the keys to that monstrous man. Let's go."
Lucas put on his beanie and jacket, collected his belongings, and walked out the front door, following Sander and Robbe, who had stopped just past the threshold, to wait for him and Jens. Hero was in his papa's arms and kept yawning adorably. "Hey, baby Hero! I can't wait to see you every day. Jens, c'mon, we're gonna be late." "Lucas, turn around." "Why, did I forget someth-"
When the boy turned around, he saw Jens still in the apartment, kneeling, with a small box in his hand, from which a silver ring peeped out. Lucas gave him a huge smile, as joyful tears were already filling his blue eyes. He couldn't believe what was happening. He didn't feel he deserved it after what he had put Jens through last year, so he had even stopped talking about it a long time before. Lucas slowly approached his boyfriend, still totally incredulous, and reached out to gently caress his cheek.
"We had a plan. Remember? During our first year of university, when you left for Utrecht, and we broke up, I told you how I had always imagined things would go between us, and then, when we got back together, you told me, you wanted that life too. " "We were supposed to live together in the smallest and shittiest flat for a few years, and then you were supposed to..."
Lucas recited those words by heart, not daring to continue. How could he forget that message? He'd reread it so many times, with his eyes full of tears when he and Jens were no longer together, and over the years he'd always checked it back to see if what he was doing, met all the items on that list. It was his compass, and the fact that it was the same for Jens filled his heart with joy. Despite the quarrels and breakups, they were truly soulmates.
"I was supposed to ask you to marry me, yes. I'm glad you remember. That list is one of the most precious memories I have, and I hope we can make happen everything written on it. We met at 14, but the day my life changed forever, was that day at the skate-park. I remember you were sad because you lost the train to get to your mama in Utrecht. We were sitting next to each other, and I finally got the courage to hold your hand. You immediately snuggled to my side, as if it was the most natural thing to you. I wanted to be that close, for the rest of my life. I know you remember that day, I know you also remember the secrets we told. That day you became my best friend, Lucas, because I felt free to be myself, all of myself, for the first time. I want to spend the rest of my life with my best friend, and I wanna die with you at 150 years old while holding your hand. So, Lucas van der Heijden, will you marry me?" "Yes, yes, yes."
Jens stood up and Lucas immediately threw himself into his arms, making their lips collide, completely forgetting about the ring, which ended up on the floor. Jens lifted him, and the other wrapped his legs around his waist. They looked at each other for a few seconds, laughing through their tears, both a little incredulous at what had just happened. A little more in love, than they were five minutes before. When Hero saw the faces of his uncles filled with tears, fearing that they were both in pain, he began to sob. Sander and Robbe started laughing because their baby was ruining one of their best friends' most romantic moments, and it was absolutely comical. Robbe was able to catch his breath first, trying to console Hero as best he could.
"Baby, don't cry. Everything’s fine." "Boo-boo." "I know it sounds weird, but I promise they are not hurt. Look, they are both smiling!"
Meanwhile, Jens had put Lucas down and retrieved the ring from the floor, finally putting it on his fiance’s finger. Lucas watched him for a moment. He wanted to pinch himself. What he was experiencing couldn't be real. He couldn't be that lucky. The boy looked up at Jens who had the most beautiful smile painted on his face, and kissed him on the lips, giving him one last hug, before taking his hand and dragging him to the child who was still crying his eyes out.
"Don't worry, Hero. We’re never been happier in our life. Come here and hug your uncles."
* After congratulating the happy couple, Sander, Robbe, and Hero returned home. The child was so tired and nervous that making him feel comfortable, during the drive back, had been a nightmare. It was almost eight in the evening, and usually, by then, he was already in bed. Robbe held Hero in his arms, while Sander was searching for the key to open the front door.
"They were so cute. I've never seen Jens so happy." "But my proposal was better, right?" "I don't know, I mean, Jens got on his knee."
"I’m sorry if I was so nervous I couldn't stand!" "If you say so."
Robbe threw a skeptical look at Sander but then smiled, passing him by and entering the house. He put Hero on the floor and began to take off his jacket, when something unusual caught his attention, making him frown.
"Baby, did you left the lights on?" "No, I didn't."
Sander immediately became more alert, hearing noises coming from inside the apartment. He had never dealt with such a situation, or at least, this was the first time he found himself being the adult who had to manage it. He took his phone from his pocket, ready to call the police if necessary.
"Maybe it's your mama." "I'll go check inside. You stay here with Hero."
Before Robbe could add something to object, a person came out of the kitchen, and for the boys, it was like seeing a ghost. Their worst nightmare was standing in front of them, even though nothing was threatening on the girl's face. On the contrary, she was smiling, clearly embarrassed by that situation. Robbe instinctively took Hero in his arms, hugging him and Sander stood in front of both of them as if to protect his family.
"Hi." "Charlotte, what are you doing here? You scared us." "I'm sorry, I still had my key, and I knew you were living here, but I needed a place to stay while I'm back."
The girl shifted her gaze to Robbe, and then, hesitantly, allowed herself to look at the child who was staring at her. Charlotte shook her head, thinking of all those stories about the bond between a mother and his child. If she had seen that baby walk casually down the street, she probably wouldn't have even recognized him. It was as if the newborn, she had left, over a year ago, and the baby in front of her wasn't even the same person. She smiled because from the way the little boy was holding on tight to Robbe, Charlotte realized that blood ties are nothing if they are not nurtured every day, with love and affection. She had given birth to that child, yet they were two strangers, however, Robbe, who didn’t share a tiny part of his DNA with him, was everything for that kid.
"He grew up so much. He looks just like you, Sander." "That’s what everyone says." "Robbe, please, you don’t have to hold him that way, I won’t try to steal him." "I'm sorry, but this is just too weird. I’ll let you and Sander talk. Hero needs to eat and bathe."
Robbe took Hero away, and Charlotte waved at him, receiving the same gesture in return from the baby, who was still looking at her with curiosity, as he was sucking on his pacifier. The two disappeared into the kitchen, and the girl kept looking in that direction until Sander's voice brought her back to reality.
"Let's go to the living room, so we can sit."
The twins walked side by side to the living room. The silence between them was strangely embarrassing, and for both of them, it was something new. They were used to share everything and to understand each other quickly, even without the need to speak, but at that moment, there was an invisible wall keeping them apart. Neither of them found the other familiar. The way the other talked and moved, it was all new. Nearly two years apart had done much more, than 22 years together. They sat on opposite sides of the sofa and peered at each other, both uncertain about how to start the conversation, they both had imagined so many times.
"Why you're here, Charlotte?" "I wanted to see you before your wedding. I didn’t want to ruin your big day." "Ruin? What do you mean?"
The boy frowned, immediately feeling anxious for those words, and his sister noticed it and nodded as if she had expected such a reaction.
"Calm down, Sander. I just didn't want to appear during the ceremony and make you worry all the time. You should focus on Robbe that day." "I guess, thank you for being so thoughtful then... and for coming back for my wedding." "I promised you, I would be here."
Charlotte instinctively moved her hand closer to her brother's but withdrew it immediately. Sander was still suspicious, and the girl didn't want to force anything, especially because she wanted to explain her reasons, without escalating the discussion. She tried to appear calm, but she had never felt so anxious in front of Sander. During the return trip on the plane, she had made sure to prevent her mind from going in that direction, to avoid spiraling, but it had been difficult.
"I know, but after that letter, everything changed between us." "It wasn’t because of the letter, it was because of what you did." "I had to." "You didn’t ask about my feelings, though. I didn’t want to be a mother. Not at 22 and alone. But leaving him was still so hard for me, Sander. Do you know why I couldn't touch him? Because I knew, if I did, I wouldn't be able to give him up for adoption. I loved him so much. I felt him grow inside of me. I felt butterflies in my belly every time he moved. He kept me alive when Max left me. I owe him so much."
Sander sighed, trying to put himself in his sister's shoes, but failing. Hearing all those romantic lines coming out of her mouth, made him even angrier. He didn't understand how she could have left him. How anyone could even think of letting go of that perfect child, he had loved to death from the very first moment.
"But you left him, eventually, and I couldn’t. Even if I didn’t feel him grow inside of me. I just couldn't, Charlotte. When I hold him, I know I did the right thing. I can't imagine my life being any different. You loved him, yes, but I love him every day, he’s my son, and Robbe’s, of course."
Although Sander's tone sounded harsh, Charlotte was relieved to hear those words. She had always feared that his brother wanted to keep the baby with him, only because he felt compelled to do so. She was afraid that, because of her, he was wasting his youth forever. He was sacrificing his life, fighting a cause that wasn't his own.
"So you didn’t regret anything." "I do regret ruining our relationship, and a couple of other things." "I miss you. Everyday. And if you’re worried about me trying to take away your son, don’t be. I don’t know if I can handle this situation, but I won’t ever do something so awful to you. I’d rather stay away from you forever, than hurt you and Robbe in that way. "
Sander leaned his back against the sofa, suddenly more relaxed. The weight, that had been compressing his chest for nearly two years, had dissolved instantly, after what his sister had said. He no longer had to worry about someone taking Hero away from him and Robbe. He wanted to run to his fiance and share the news, but he decided to wait a few more moments. He smiled gratefully, looking at his sister in the eyes.
"This is the best wedding gift I could ask for." "Me staying away from you?" "What? No." "I was kidding, Sander." "I'm happy my silly Charlotte is back."
Sander closed the distance that separated them and hugged Charlotte for the first time in two years, realizing how much he had missed her, and what it had cost him to be constantly angry with her. It had been two years of restless sleep nights, and anxious stomach aches, which he had only been able to overcome thanks to Robbe's calming presence in his life. But at that moment, he felt as if everything had been blown away, like when after a long pouring rain night, the sun shines again on a new day.

Daichi x Y/N
(Stuff happens, so read if you want to.)
I'm currently a first year at Karasuno and it's almost time for spring break. Since starting at the high school, I had special circumstances at the beginning of the year. Mostly because my parents had just died and I had no other living relatives or god parents to take care of me. Due to the fact that I was 15, I was given the choice to stay at a half way home or to go out on my own. Knowing full well, I would never get adopted for being a teenager, I decided to opt out and remain living on my own. For the most part, it was okay, I would crash at a few friends houses every so often to wash my uniform in a place that had actual laundry detergent. It wasn't long until the manager at the store I worked at started letting me have the left overs that didn't sell.
I guess, he got the hint that I was shedding pounds like no tomorrow. So one night, he flipped the sign to close and asked me to step into the back room.
"Hey, kid, how's it going?" He started.
"I'm okay." I shrugged.
"Don't lie to me, now." He  lit up a cigarette.
"Well, if you gotta know, I'm currently living with the snacks I you let me have and couch surfing." I narrowed my gaze.
"What happened with your folks?" I look up and through the wisps of smoke, he was looking into my eyes and waiting for an answer.
"They're dead."
Silence. It last a few minutes and then he took a pull.
"Sorry, kid."
"Yeah, it's not something I'm ready to talk about." I wipe the single tear that fell from my right eye.
Tch.
"Alright, I have an idea, but only if you feel absolutely 100% comfortable with the idea."
"Shoot."
"I have a spare room, if you want you can stay there, instead of couch surfing or staying out in the streets." He takes another pull.
"I don't know, I don't feel right about just staying there. Is there someway for me to repay you?" I look up to him determined.
"Well, you can take on some extra chores around the house and we can call it even." He shrug.
"Alright then Mr. Ukai, thank you so much!" I bow.
"Don't worry about it kid, I just don't want you to end up hurt somewhere. You've been really good working for me the whole summer, and I see you like a little sister." He puts a hand on my shoulder with a light squeeze.
"I promise that I will do my best to not be a burden." I declare.
After our chat, I spend my time minding the store until closing time. I double check the floor and restock what's low and keep the journal of the day's sales. I make sure to keep everything organized before putting together a list of the things we need to order for the next week. Keishin came out with the broom and the mop, he swept and I mopped the floor behind him. We were done rather fast and put away the cleaning supplies. Stepping through the back of the store we take out the trash to the dumpster and then walk a little to the house behind the store.
"Well, this is home." He says.
"It's very nice."
"Thanks." He closes the door behind us, we remove our shoes and I walk in barefoot, taking my socks off and feeling the cold floors.
"Hey put these on, they should fit." He hands me a pair of gray slippers that seem my size.
"Thanks." I slip them on and he shows me around the house.
"So, living room is here, to the left is my room, the right is yours. The kitchen is down the hall and the bathroom is also down the hall. The is a small backyard if you ever want to sit outside and take a break." He rubs the back of his neck.
"Wow." Amazed at how neat and warm the house felt.
"Yeah, I haven't the heart to change a few things because its the way my mom left it. I just do upkeep." he shrugs.
"Well, I will be sure not to move things too out of place on cleaning day." I make a mental note.
"I appreciate that. For tonight, I'll make dinner. What do you want to eat?" He peers into the fridge.
"How about I make dinner and you tell me what my chores are while I work?" I counter offer.
"Oh, Okay." He steps aside.
I pull out the left over rice he has in a tupper ware, the shaved steak left overs, 3 eggs and a mixed veggie tray. Julienning and then sauteing them for a little color, I add the shaved steak to mix in with the juices from the veggies, adding a pinch of onion powder and a few dashes of soy sauce, I stir until the white rice has an even browning.
"So, we would be alternating cleaning duty, you'll get bathroom and kitchen and I'll do living room and front of the house. Following week, we switch. Cooking is up to you. I'm limited in what I know how to make, but it seems like you can definitely throw down in the kitchen." He motions to me.
"Well, I had to learn while my parents were at work, I made myself dinners." I smile.
"That's very smart." He compliments.
Adding the rice into the meat and veggies and adding a splash of water to make the rice a little fluffy again, I cover it. Cracking the eggs into a bowl and scrambling them before hand.
"So, you learned all this from being home alone?" He grabs plates out of the cupboard.
"Yep, we would have left overs and I'd take them to make them into a meal for myself. I hope you like it." with a half smile as I add the eggs to the same skillet. While the eggs cook into the fried rice, I clean all the utensils I used to cook, leaving just the wooden spoon I was using to help mix everything. Almost like a 6th sense, I could feel that it was ready, so I turn off the heat and proceed to spoon out a few into each bowl.
"It smells delicious!" He takes a whiff before carefully putting the steaming hot food into his mouth and hums something that sounded like 'yum'.
"Glad you like it." I laugh a bit.
That was my first night, it was very nice. It really did feel like having an older brother, despite knowing that I was practically alone in every sense of the word. He really made me feel welcomed. We worked out a deal for when I would get to school.
So while I did some early morning shifts to help prep all the sandwiches and meat buns to be sold for the day, he would take care of the store and then I would do homework while I worked the counter and he would take his break and go over to the house and prep dinner for us later.
It's been about 2 months with the same routine and there was this man, Takeda. He comes in once a day to ask where Keishin was and if he could spare a moment, everytime, he was turned away until yesterday. Kei actually agreed to whatever that Takeda man asked him to do.
"I'll be at the school gym tomorrow, so I want you to go there straight after practice. I'm not letting you out of my sight, kid." He sighs as he goes towards the back room.
"Oh, okay, but who will mind the store?"
"I'll get my nephew to watch the store." He pulls out his phone and dials a number.
"Alright, well, I'm off to school, sandwiches are ready to be stocked, coffee is in the machine brewing for the day, and the meat buns are in the steam tray." I put on my shoes.
"Alright, hon, have a good day at school and don't forget to meet me at the gym." He shouts after me as I jog out to school.
The school day was boring and quite frankly, I was just hoping to see what was going to happen after school, but I still managed to take down good notes in class. I wonder why Takeda wanted Keishin. Guess, I'll find out later.
The day ends and I bolt out of class and head to the gym, right outside is Takeda and Keishin, talking a bit.
"Hi, y/n." Takeda bows.
"Hello, Takeda Sensei."
"Lets see what we are working with." Keishin grumbles and puts out his cigarette.
Inside were boys, shouting and running around. They were playing a 3 4 on 4 game of volleyball. There were 3 boys I recognized as my senpais since one of them gave me a tour around the school my first day and introduced me to the other 2. Sugawara was very nice and detailed with directions, Asahi was super shy and told me I was scary until we spoke a bit more and then there's Daichi. He was just, woah.
Suddenly I'm down on the ground, my chest hurt a little. I wasn't sure what just happened. I definitely got the wind knocked out of me, somehow.
"Woah n/n! Are you okay??" Keishin bends down to check on me.
"Y/N!" Daichi runs over and slides right beside me.
"We are so sorry." I hear the boys shout in unison.
I cough a bit trying to breathe. Daichi helps me sit up.
"Hey, Kiyoko, toss me my water bottle!" Daichi looks at the blue haired girl.
She nods and tosses the water bottle at him and he catches it with ease.
"Here drink some. It'll help" I nod and do as he says.
A sip and I try to breath but it sounds like a heavy wheeze. He takes my loose hairs and tucks them behind my ear.
"It's alright, take your time." He stands.
"Alright, Ennoshita, sub for me. I'm going to look after her during this set."  He takes my hands into his and helps me to the bench. He sits straddling the bench and pats the space in front of him.
"Sit with your back to me." He orders.
I do and his chest is warm. I hum.
"Alright, I'm going to rub your upper arms and I want you to take deep breaths with me." He whispers into my ear.
I could feel my face turn red and my chest tighten, but I nod.
After a few breaths, I feel much better. At some point I had closed my eyes and he had stopped moving his hands on my arms and just held me.
"Hey, earth to y/n. You okay now?" He whispers, bringing me back.
"Yes, thank you, senpai." I reply.
"Please, call me Daichi." He insists.
"Well, now that you are a bit better, please go to the bathroom and check if you're bruised, if you want take Kiyoko with you. She'll be able to help with ice or if you would prefer a salve." He motions to her and she comes over.
"Okay" meek and quiet, I leave with Kiyoko to the bathroom and she comes in with me.
Unbuttoning my school uniform, I see the yellow and blue starting to form.
"What would you like for me to do? Salve and bandage or just an ice pack?" She offers, cleaning her glasses on her volleyball jacket.
"Whichever would make the bruise slow down faster." I shrug.
"I'll get the salve and bandage, wait here." She hurries out.
She returns and quietly buzzes about, tending to the bruise.
"Thank you, senpai." I mumble.
"Of course, let me know if you have any discomfort." she guides me back to the gym and I sit quietly on the bench and watch the rest of the 'set'. In between sets, Daichi comes back over to me and asks me once more if I was okay and I nod, choosing to keep talking to a minimum since my chest was still in some pain.
"So, you have yourself a coach, Takeda." I over hear Keishin shaking hands with Takeda Sensei.
"Thank you. The practice game with Nekoma are in a few weeks. Here's the details and I will need you to come by the office tomorrow so we can formally fill out your paperwork as new head coach of Karasuno's boy's volleyball" He's super excited.
"Alright boys, line up." Daichi commands.
"Thank you for coming." They say in unison.
"Boys, let me introduce you to your new coach. Coach Ukai. he's the former Coach's grandson, he also happened to play for Karasuno when he studied here." Takeda lets Keishin take center stage.
"Alright, so the rematch against Nekoma won't be for another few weeks, and I have 'til then to whip you into shape to even be close to a tied game with them. I have faith in what I witnessed today that we will beat them. Maybe not in our first game but definitely in our second." Keishin riles them up.
"Come on, clean up and then you are free to go home." Daichi claps.
The boys grumble. Just like that time passed in a flash, somehow in that time I became the co manager of the team with Kiyoko and we've become really good friends. Though I know I won't see her around much after this year, with her being a third year and all
The practice game came and the boys played their hardest, in the end, they lost making it really close to a tied game. They were absolutely devastated but definitely not discouraged. After the game, Keishin treated them to dinner. As a way to show them that even in their losses they will learn and adapt, but for now eat and work on your strength. Some of them cried and others remained stoic.
It was weeks later that Takeda slipped by the door and announced that Nekoma had invited us to join in on their training camp. Takeda and Keishin shared a glance, one I knew all too well. 'The I'm not sure we can afford it' look. An idea popped into my head, so I decided to go up to Kei and whisper it.
"Doesn't sound bad, I bet if you got the guys to help then it would definitely go a lot faster. I mean you've got the skills." He nods.
"Takeda, I'm not sure if you know, but y/n is a wiz in the kitchen, can they borrow the cafeteria on Thursday night? Y/N wants to have a bake sale for the team. Of course if the boys help out then I know they'll be in good hands." He pleads.
"What a splendid idea, I'll run it by the principal tomorrow morning and have an answer by practice. Just give me a list of what you wanted to bake and what the cost to profit is, I'm sure it will work out just fine." He looks at a determined y/n who's already scribbling away in their notebook the recipes and how much the items would cost, specially through the store as a vendor they knew they could get a bit of a discount.
On a new sheet of paper, they write down the cost to profit and hand over the menu to Takeda, who looks in awe of the menu.
"Are you sure you can make all this?" He asks.
"With help, of course. I just need to know if I have permission before I go asking the team for help." I nod confidently.
"alright then, I will pass this along." He puts it into his folder of to-do.
The following day at lunch I got the approval of cafeteria use for the thursday night which was in 3 days. Yachi who was the other new co manager created posters to put up around the school and town. The school wrote a check for the cost and I gave it to Keishin when we ordered the ingredients. The entire team agreed to help, even salty Tsukishima. It was a nice night, we took off of practice and spent the evening working hard. The boys followed my every order, I was running a tight ship that night.
By nightfall, we were all packing up the small bundt cakes in the wax paper and twine. The muffins were placed into boxes to contain them for the night and the sweeter things we baked, we left for the afternoon. The entire day Kiyoko and I were manning the cash box, and thanking students for buying and donating the change.
At the end of the day we had made back what we spent on ingredients and more than tripled our profit. We gave back the initial investment that the school spent and we took the rest to the bank. Got the coins changed into larger bills. Gave the money to Takeda who in turn, put it towards the bus to take us to the training camp and food for those two weeks. Even after that we had a little left over, which we had decided we would save for any club emergencies.
"We did it!!!" We announced.
"We're raised enough money to go to the training camp!" Yachi jumps up high like Hinata.
"Yay!" He jumps even higher.
"Rest up, we leave next Friday after school and get there by evening. We are going to be there for 2 weeks." Keishin reminds them.
Time flies and it was just a a few hours by bus to get there. It was finally here, training camp weeks with Nekoma and Fukurodani. Being the last to arrive, the Nekoma team are the ones to greet us.
Everyone is polite enough, though the tension between the captains is so awkward. It makes me want to be a turtle and hide inside my shell. Being here was incredible. The days were spent between exercise and practice games. There were many losses for the boys, but with each game they learned more about their opponents, which in turn they adapted their strategies.
The night before the last day Daichi approached me with a concerned look.
"What's wrong sen-Daichi." I tilt my head.
"Well, tomorrow there's the barbecue and I think we have enough, but I'm not sure. If there's a shortage would you mind going to the store with Kiyoko and two of the boys to help you bring things back?" He places a hand on my shoulder.
"Of course, what kind of a manager would I be if I didn't take care of my team." I laugh it off.
"Thank you for taking such good care of us, if it weren't for your idea, we probably wouldn't have been able to participate." He squeezes.
"It's no big deal, besides, Yachi's posters were also a tremendous help with donations and you guys helped me back and pack all those tiny pastries. It's my pleasure, honestly." I raise my hands in front of me.
"Thank you." He smiles and walks away.
Practice felt like it flew by and the coaches had already started the grills to heat them up. The captains of each team was manning the grills and making sure that everything was cooked to perfection. Daichi gave me the look so I took Kiyoko's wrist and she understood. Looking around the only two boys that seemed the least busy were Tanaka and Nishinoya.
It was a short walk to the store, but while we were there, we had a slight hiccup. Some guys from Fukurodani's regular students were there. They had chosen to hit on Kiyoko and she looked uncomfortable. I tried to distract them from her, but failed. It didn't help that Noya and Tanaka got involved, until I stepped in between and diffused the situation a bit.
"Listen guys, I know she is really beautiful, but she can't go out with you, because she is with me." I step in.
"Yeah, sorry boys. Can't split up the happy couple." Tanaka makes his iconic intimidation face and Noya has a demonic look in his eyes.
"Now, if we can all go about our respective days, that would be amazing." I insist and drag the boys away with Kiyoko and the food cart in tow.
We paid and we left, thinking it would be the last of it. We got back in time with the meat and more soda. The boys celebrated our return and immediately took the items out of our hands and began prep work while the last of the meat had just been put on the grill, but the time it was cooked, the meat we had brought was being put on. The rest of the afternoon goes on with lots of laughter and a light atmosphere.
It was evening by the time the teams had began slowly breaking off to go shower and hit the sack. The captains and a few members stayed behind to help with clean up. Between us we finished up in an hour and placed the trash into the dumpster. The sun had already set and the navy blue sky, like a blanket being pulled over the day to rest.
I wasn't tired so I didn't go back yet, instead I decided to walk around a bit, take in the last views of the school before morning, since we'd be leaving around 7 am to get back by noon and send the team home to rest and study for the exams the rest of the week had instore for us. Thinking over the checklist of things that I could do to kill time, I thought it would be a great idea to go to the store for a last minute run, pick up some cereal bars, or jell-o cups, some kind of snack that didn't need much prep incase the team got peckish on the ride home. Mostly because we weren't going to make breakfast, just pack up, clean and leave.
Apparently the boys from earlier just didn't know when to stop. They just had to follow me at a distance, but I didn't even realize it. It wasn't until I had gotten closer to the gym that they started vandalizing school property. I saw them, with their trash and the faint smell of alcohol hit my nose. I took out my phone and dialed Keishin but he didn't pick up, so I called Daichi.
"Hey y/n, what's up?"
One of the guys had ran towards me and I dropped what I had in hand and my cell phone, luckily it didn't cut off the call.
"Hey, back off, you can't be here."
"Like hell, we can do what we damn well please," one of them slurred.
"Come on cutie, drop the bluenette and come have fun with us instead."
That was all he needed to hear to grab the team and race outside to where I was. Surrounded and trying to find a way out. Nothing seemed viable so I did what I thought and tried to duck under their arms and run, but they caught me by my jacket. I unzipped it and left it in their grasp. I ran until I bumped into something that was soft but sturdy.
"Where are they?" A stern voice.
"Back that way" I answered with my eyes closed still waiting to hit the floor.
"Noya, Tanaka, and Suga, go in first. Rest of you, stagger in." He orders.
"Hey, they didn't touch you right?" He lifted my chin up and I opened my eyes.
"No, but it was really scary." Tears pinching the back of my eyes, just thinking about what could have happened had I not worn the volleyball jacket.
"Shhh, it's okay now. You're safe." He tried to comfort me.
"I tried calling coach but he didn't answer."
"It's okay, we told Kiyoko to stay behind and look for all 3 coaches." He pet my hair.
We stayed like that for a moment until he pulled away first.
"I don't want you walking back alone so come with me and stay behind me. I'll make sure they don't lay a hand on you." He promises.
"Okay" I hesitate.
So of course it caused a commotion and a brawl broke out. Someone called the cops and Noya, Tanaka and I were taken in because of the fight. Daichi had driven to the station with Keishin and Coach Nekomata. While there, the boys were placed in the holding cell while Noya and Tanaka and I were sitting, cuffed on a bench.
"I'm taking the fall, you guys just say it was me that did all the fighting and that they tried to attack you so it's self defense. Okay? I started the fight. You guys can't get into trouble, they'll kick you out of school or something. I'll be fine. So don't fight me. I am your manager and I will hear no protest." I turn to either side of me and they nod in defeat.
After questioning about what had happened I made up a story. About how I was walking back to campus and they were just drunk and spewing nonsense. I tried to get them to leave until one of them grabbed my wrist and I pushed him off as defense, which escalated when his buddies joined in and I fought back, having called my coach to alert him of what's happening. Noya and Tanaka said similar things so the detective gave us all breathalyzer tests to fact check.
We we let go after a few hours.
"Kids!" Keishin is waiting in the lobby to pick us up.
"We're okay coach, a little shaken and roughed up, but we'll be fine." Noya answers.
"Let's go back to campus and you can retell what happened." He looks me up and down to make sure I was okay.
Once back, we went to an empty class on a different floor than the one where everyone was sleeping. I retold what actually happened and the lie we told the cops.
Tch.
"But, they didn't touch you, right?" Kei knelt in front of my seat.
"No, Kei, I'm fine. Scared, but fine." I assure him.
"God, kid, I don't want to think about what could have happened." He engulfs me in a hug.
"I know" muffled into his chest.
Headed to the floor where the rest of the team was, they couldn't sleep. Too anxious about what happened. They try not to crowd me and I bow.
"I'm sorry for worrying you." A few tears slide down my cheek without meaning to.
A chorus of 'don't' could be heard and I couldn't help but feel relief. They ended up giving me a group hug and then they let go after a little. I smile and wipe the tears.
One of the boys managed to grab the things I had dropped and brought them inside. The bag from the store was pretty intact, but my phone sadly was not. It was cracked and had a few scrapes on the exposed metal.
I take my phone and put it in the bag with the things I got. Leaving to the managers room, the tears flow freely. It was scary. I was alone until the guys came to my rescue. I was too scared to lash out. I couldn't move. God I was so stupid.
"Hey, hey, you're safe now, honey." I heard a soothing voice.
"I know, but I could've screamed, done something."
"No, no, none of that. You called us, you did do something and escaped them before we got to you." He cups my face.
I sob a little, but he leans close and looks into my eyes. Its like I was over come with warmth. Like a security blanket wrapped around me. Taking even breaths he thumbs away my tears and gives me a small smile. I flush and my cheeks start getting warm, feeling the blush spread, I look away but he follows my gaze. So I place my hand on his wrist.
Suddenly our lips are just whispers away from touching.
"Are you sure, because I don't want you to feel pressured." our noses grazing each other.
"Kiss me"
It was the sweetest kiss. So soft and gentle, he was treating me like a fragile, porcelain doll.
"I-"
"How about when you feel up to it, I take you out on a date. I'll make it special."
"I would like that." I blush having forgotten all those scary thoughts.

Pairing: (BNHA) Arumi Suzuku (my oc) x Neito Monoma
Category: Angst
⚠TW⚠: Attempted Suicide, relationship issues, traumatic break-up
Where did it all go wrong?
Just a month ago Neito had been teaching her about baking. They played around with the batter and flour. Flour was all over their faces and hair and clothes and splotches of chocolate cake batter were on their noses, cheeks, foreheads, arms, and hands. They laughed for a bit after that, pouring the batter into the cake tin and stared at the mess in disdain. Clean-up was made more tolerable with some lively music and the occasional dance break.
After the cake was done they left it to cool down and went to clean themselves up, washing the flour out of each other's hair and rubbing the batter off their faces.
Now Neito was packing his things up in boxes while Arumi just glared at him, helping out with the occasional snarky remark thrown at him. The little apartment that was once so full of life was now dreary and heavy.
When Arumi muttered something about him being wrong in their previous fight he snapped, dropping the object in his hands, an old photo frame of younger him in an embarrassing sailor outfit, onto the floor.
"If you're gonna just keep acting like a total bitch then stop helping and leave so I can get something done!"
Arumi glared at him, taping a box shut. "I don't trust you in MY home. Not anymore. You have no right to talk to me like that!"
"Well maybe if you weren't so stubborn and clingy all the time then we wouldn't be in this situation in the first place!"
"Well if you didn't act like you were a god to be worshipped 24-7 then I wouldn't be so stubborn! You forget you're also only human too Neito!"
After a moment of glaring, Arumi threw the tape at a box and stormed to the door, pulling her shoes on. She couldn't stand being around him and he couldn't either, so she'd just leave. He smirked, and not the smirk she loved, but the cocky smirk that bragged about him winning.
Just before she closed the door, she heard him throw a half-hearted remark toward her. The words made her pause from closing the door for a minute, a slight thought of 'what if' passing through her mind before she shooed it away. Closing the door and zipping her jacket up, a puff of air coming from her lips as she pulled the jacket up to her lips she started walking down the stairs and toward town. Winter always made her feel crummy, and this did nothing to help.
"I'll be gone with all my stuff before you come back."
When Arumi came back nearly five hours later, she learned that Neito was indeed true to his word. All the boxes filled with his stuff around the house were gone, all packed up and taken to either an extra storage area, or a friend's apartment. What did she care though? They were over, their relationship six-feet under.
Tossing her keys onto the counter, she slid her shoes off and started walking around the apartment. His products in the bathroom were all gone, his pictures around the house all taken, minus the ones of their relationship together. Vacation pictures, anniversary pictures, and some other pictures of them from their younger years messing around. She'd take care of those later though because she was tired and needed to sleep.
Walking into their once shared room felt odd as well. 50% of the things in it were now gone. All his clothes from his side of the closet were gone, his nightstand was empty, and the other room accessories were gone too. Their bed was the only thing left alone, but not like there was much to take anyway. Slipping out of her clothes, she changed into PJ's and climbed into bed, a bit uncomfortable due to the lack of dip that used to be there when he slept. All she could do was close her eyes and try her hardest to sleep.
• ° • ° •
About two months later and Arumi couldn't get a good sleep no matter what she did. Neito on the other hand felt better. Neito had risen up in the hero ranks, his work improving after he had fallen a bit lower a month before due to issues. Arumi though had fallen lower, her work quality decreasing in both amount and thoroughness.
Neito had felt pretty shitty about the breakup the month after he moved out, but after that he felt a bit better about himself, his self-esteem coming back full-swing. Arumi though, felt better a month after moved out, her work going great until just now, the grief and loneliness finally hitting her.
Now after hero work Arumi would go straight home and just do whatever she needed mindlessly. She actually came across one of his old hoodies when going through her drawers the previous month and swore to get rid of it some time, but now after doing what needed to be done and she wanted to go to bed, Arumi would grab it and put it on and lay down, curling up as she reached one arm out to the empty side of the bed while the other covered her mouth and nose. Her tears stung her eyes as she smelled it, pulling the hoodie over her eyes.
"It still smells like him..."
The grief struck her quietly, but it did happen, and now she was in a rough patch of emotions.
Neito on the other hand felt pretty shitty the first month they were apart. His last words said to her were, "I'll be gone with all my stuff before you come back," and he was true to his word about that. It made him feel guilty in a way that for someone he's known since high school those were his last words. All while finding apartments he thought about how those same moments in their shared one would never happen in his new home again, and that the smell of cinnamon and firewood paired with aftershave wouldn't be there.
He got over it though when he realized he didn't need to wallow in those feelings. Neito felt a lot better when he looked at his apartment after being fully moved in and seeing the space he had. He didn't always feel like this in his relationship, but closer toward the end, he felt Arumi clinging onto it like someone would hold onto a life preserver in the middle of the ocean. It annoyed him. She's a grown woman and if she felt the relationship ending she shouldn't have tried so hard, she'd be able to deal with it.
Now here he was, living his best life and feeling great. He was getting more recognition, he had the freedom in his home life, and he finally got over her.
• ° • ° •
After Arumi realized she wasn't going to feel better, she took a vacation from work for two weeks. All she did was stay home and go through old memories. Looking through old photo albums, rewatch their favorite shows and movies, listen to their old songs, the likes. She looked terrible though. Tan and warm complexion fading into a more sickly pale color, eyebags forming thanks to the late nights and the terrible sleep, and her eyes lost a bit of shine.
Eventually she realized why she felt so shitty when she came across a family photo of her and her parents when she was a baby. Right, it was the attachment issues. She lost her mom as a super small child and her father went to prison a few years later. After that, she wasn't left with anyone. Now it made sense. Thanks to her getting attached to Neito, losing him felt like the world was falling apart around her. Considering she knew him from high school the pain was extra tough.
After realizing this she got in touch with a therapist. After a bit, it became increasingly obvious she was stuck in a depression funk. This wouldn't do well for hero work so she took a medical leave to try and improve her mental state.
The news was all over Arumi's medical leave of absence. Seriously, it was in articles and reported for a few solid days. Neito got annoyed by it, but in a way that part of the concerned boyfriend crept in slowly and he didn't realize it, but he started reading every article and watching every report. Sometimes he felt drawn to go visit and check up on her. Just because they broke up didn't mean they couldn't ever talk again right?
Before he knew it he climbed into his car and started driving, cursing at himself for letting the worry take over. She was strong and he knew it, he didn't doubt for a minute she could take care of herself but even still he couldn't help the feeling he had to check in on her. When he arrived to the apartment door, he stood there for a moment, hand just an inch away from the door, staring at it.
"What am I even doing here? We aren't together anymore. Seeing me would probably make her feel worse..." Sighing, he just gently leaned his head on the door. "Even still I can't help but feel worried about her. This could be an opportunity to talk things through though." He made his mind up at that moment and knocked on the door.
He waited for a few seconds, then those seconds turned into a minute, and that minute turned into five. Growing impatient, he checked the spot where the spare key always was and chuckled silently to himself when he realized she never changed it. Opening the door, he was hit with the memories, good and bad.
Before anyone calls him crazy, he knew she was home. He saw her car in the parking lot. He would never do this if he knew she wasn't. That just isn't sensible for a normal human.
One thing Neito didn't like upon entry was how quiet the house was. It was so much darker in terms of atmosphere. He figured she would've been better by now, but not judging by the state of disarray the apartment was in. The trash was piling up, the counters were crowded with stuff, the living room was messed up, there were clothes all around, etc. He was clearly wrong.
"Suzuku?" He called out, looking around. She wasn't in the kitchen or living room obviously, so he went to check the bathroom and found the door open. With a quick glance, he concluded she wasn't there and made his way back toward the kitchen and living room area to check what was going on. Did she go for a walk maybe? Wandering around the kitchen he found all their old pictures on the fridge still up which shocked him. He tossed his the moment he left, and here she was, keeping them.
He realized he didn't check the bedroom and left the kitchen, walking away from the area where so many great memories happened. What he didn't notice was the medicine cupboard was wide open, the contents all messy and disorganized.
As Neito reached for the door handle, he felt some strange feeling. His mouth ran dry, his heart started beating a bit faster, and his hands started to shake slightly. Why did he feel so nervous? Was it because he hadn't talked to her in nearly 4 months? Was it because he felt bad? Because he felt guilty for the way they ended things? Shaking his head of these thoughts, he grabbed the handle and pushed the door open, averting his gaze down for fear she was staring at the door already.
What he didn't expect was to see pills on the floor and her body laid on the bed. She looked so peaceful and like she had been sleeping the best she could. A small smile remained on her lips as she hugged a pillow. There's no way she did that. She was just sleeping.
Taking a step closer to the bed, he felt paralyzed for a moment. His heart hammered and his stomach was all twisted up. His hands shook and his vision was going from blurry to clear. She couldn't have. After a second, he hurried to the bed, shaking her resting body.
"Arumi, Arumi wake up." He shook her harder. "Stop joking with me, I know we ended on a bad note but don't do this to me." Harder. "Arumi! C'mon!" He didn't realize tears were welling up in his eyes as he lifted her shoulders off the bed, head falling back limply. This couldn't be happening.
Putting his ear to her chest, he waited for a moment, hearing a faint and slow "thump" coming from inside her. Crying with relief, he lifted her up and ran down the stairs and put her into the car, calling the hospital ahead of time to let them know to get prepped for her arrival.
Neito probably broke records for how quickly he got there, getting out of the car and opening the other door for the doctors, watching them grab her and put her on a gurney, running inside. He followed like a lost puppy, only stopping when they told him he couldn't go further. All he could do was sit in the lobby and wait, leg bouncing anxiously as he held his head in his hands, memories of their years together rushing through his head.
"Ugh, it's so hot!" Arumi groaned, taking a seat next to Neito who was laying on the grass under the light of the moon and the light coming from the dorms. "It's night time and it's still muggy. God, I feel like I'm dying." Opening a popsicle, she started to eat it, handing one to him wordlessly.
"Thanks." He said, putting his against his forehead. "At least the wind is blowing, it makes it feel better."
"Yeah, that's true, but it's still warm. We should've just stayed inside." Awase said from a bit further away, a few others agreeing.
"It's the best time to look at constellations though!" Pony said, fanning herself with some paper fan she made. "See? The stars are so vibrant right now."
"It doesn't distract us from the fact it's hot." Neito said, finally deciding to eat his popsicle, looking at Arumi. "Are you- Are you biting your popsicle?"
All she did in response was bite it again and laugh at him, punching his shoulder softly. "It helps cool me down faster, yours is melting anyway."
"Ah!"
Neito smiled at the memory, getting up to get himself some food, wandering through the hospital smelling how hospitals usually smell. Clean. It made him shiver to think of all the people that were sick or dying at the moment though. That's why hospitals smelt clean. To hide that thought.
"Where do you think we all go when we die?" Arumi asked, laying against him while watching the show playing on TV.
He was a bit shocked by the question, confused, and slightly worried. "Why do you ask? What's with the grim topic miss I-always-smile?"
Pointing at the TV she sat up and laughed. "That's what they're talking about right now, and I'm asking because I'm curious about what you think." Hearing her laugh made him feel a bit stupid, sitting up as well.
"I dunno, I mean, it's such a grim idea to think of. I like to think we all go into a sorta holding area while we wait to be reincarnated." He said, adjusting his hair. "What about you?"
"I think we just die. Plain and simple. I mean, rebirth sounds nice, but it's like, sad to think all your old memories just get erased from everything." Looking back at him, she messed up his hair again, laughing at his annoyed face. "It makes me feel a lot better about my mom to think about that instead of thinking she's stuck in either heaven or hell forever, or she's been rebirthed as someone completely new."
Now Neito was back to sitting in the lobby, waiting anxiously for the doctor to come down and find him. He felt like it was all his thought this happened. He broke up with her (not true, they both agreed it'd be best). He abandoned her (she also said she wished they weren't together). He felt like instead of saying goodbye or ending it off on a bad note, he left it toxic and something for her to dwell on. She told him everything and he learned about her sometimes. He should've remembered all her issues (don't do that, it can burn you out).
Just as he was about to get up and ask the receptionist at the front about the situation with them for the nth time, he saw a doctor approaching him. He practically ran over, which he hated. Just because a nearly decade-old long friend and years-long ex-lover attempted to kill herself doesn't mean he'll take her back. He'll be there though, he'll make sure she's not okay and he'll make sure they end off on a good note this time.
Taking a deep breath the doctor looked at him, doing their best to remain neutral. "She made it just in time. You got her here just in time, but she has been put into the ICU and is in a coma."
Neito have a deep sigh of relief, hands on his knees as he nearly cried. "Thank God she's okay..."
The doctor gave a small smile knowing he felt that much relief, clearing their throat. "She will be put into the mental ward if she does wake up though. The waking up part is a major if though. I'm sorry to inform you."
Right...people going into coma's don't always come out. It could be an eternal sleep. All Neito had to do was pray though.
• ° • ° •
About two weeks went by before Neito got the call. She had finally woken up.
He rushed like crazy to the hospital, rushing through the halls (respectfully) to get to her room. Number 274. Standing outside of it, he took a deep breath and slid open the door. What he saw made him feel a rush of emotions.
Arumi was sitting there, the window open as she stared out of it, messy hair toward him, wires and tubes connecting up to her arms and chest. She looked so sad and she didn't even look toward him.
When Arumi heard the door open she knew exactly who it was. She remembered who she put down as her emergency contact. Vlad King, Neito, and Setsuna. The only one it could be who would take a pause and then open the door would be Neito. Setsuna would've opened it and rushed over, Vlad would open it with no pause but then again he was probably teaching right now, so that left Neito. She was told he was the one who rushed her to the hospital. It was comedic.
Not turning her head, she spoke softly. "What're you here for?"
Neito had to think about what she said to make sense of it for a second. "They called me, and I was worried. You know...seeing you laying there in our- your bed with the pills spilt kinda..." He trailed off, eyes averting to the side for a moment.
She finally turned to him, looking not like he usually saw her. She looked tired and sad, something combined he had only ever seen on her face enough he could count on his hands.
"Why do you care anyway? Didn't you take your stuff and leave? Why would you bother coming and suddenly care about me for the first time in nearly five months?"
He felt his throat constrict painfully, nerves finally kicking in. "I...I came to check on you when the news kept reporting your leave and the whole boyfriend instincts kicked in-"
She glared at him, tired eyes and eye bags only adding on to the anger in her eyes. "Don't even pull that out of your ass. Four months. Four months Neito Monoma! Suddenly you act like you care because I finally took a break?! Of course you came THAT day, because your senses could just tell I was in "danger." This is complete B.S. and you know that!"
"I'm telling the truth! I didn't predict the day you chose to kill yourself!" He stopped immediately, taking a moment to calm down. "Sorry...I'm telling you the truth." Going to sit down, he paused under her hateful gaze.
"Get out. I don't want to see you. Get me Setsuna or Kendo or even that intolerable blonde from class A that you hate!"
Hearing that, he turned silently and walked toward the door, walking out and going to close it, but paused and looked down. "I'm sorry we ended like that." Then he left, tears rolling down his cheeks as he walked away, his face devoid of emotion.
Stopping at her words, he remembered how much fun they had as high schoolers and messing with class A and their classmates. His eyes started tearing up, but he quickly wiped it away, his voice coming out strained and hurt. "You didn't even leave a note...I would've been okay if you explained that I was the reason in a note, but you didn't leave anything for anyone! No explanation, no will, nothing. How would everyone have felt?"
She stared at him for a moment and turned toward the window again. "I don't care."

Rm9.... was an episode I really liked. I know a lot of people didn’t like it because of the lack of dialogue, but I liked the fact that they don’t NEED to speak to be out and about. It was different, but it was good. Them out on a date was so adorable. Her laughing at his blobfish meal and taking a picture of it... God, I love flirty and fun Scully so much. She’s just so adorbs.
Here we go...
Chapter Thirty Seven
All a Buzz
After the catastrophe in Rm9.... Scully and Mulder take care of things at the house before heading to breakfast. Discussions are had, temporary decisions are made, and things begin to move forward.

February 2018
The water was warm as Scully washed her hands in the diner bathroom. She looked in the mirror and smiled at her reflection. This night had been … well, to say insane was an understatement. A car ride from hell, a possessed room vacuum, her bedroom exploding, being chased by drones, and being shot at by printed 3-D bullets.
All because of a tip, or lack of one, she thought, shaking her head as she dried her hands and left the bathroom. Mulder was still sitting at the bar, looking at his phone when she returned. As she walked up, he turned to her with a smile, standing as he slipped his phone in his back pocket and drank down the last bit of his coffee.
“You ready?” he asked, and she nodded her head. Heading out of the diner, he held the door open for her as they walked to his car. She was tired, but oddly incredibly happy and unable to stop smiling, even after all that had happened.
Late last night, after they walked out of that warehouse, they trudged back to her place to inspect the damage the explosion caused. Not too surprisingly, no emergency services were present. The calls they tried to place before fleeing had not gone through, and the alarm system was operating with a mind of its own. None of her neighbors had appeared to be bothered enough to call it in either. More evidence that the world was slowly shrinking into its own worries and concerns.
Glass was everywhere, and they both sighed as they looked at it. Black scorch marks and areas of still smoldering smoke from the explosive ball of fire were on the carpet, walls, her bed, and dresser. There was even some damage in the bathroom, making the entire space unlivable. She was, however, thankful that the damage had at least been contained to that area versus the entire house.
Mulder looked at her, and she sighed again. Walking past the smoldering piece of metal that was once the floor vacuum, Scully walked into the kitchen and grabbed the fire extinguisher. She handed it to Mulder when she heard him behind her, and she began searching for the broom she could not find earlier.
When she finally found it on the back porch, she and Mulder worked to clean up the glass, putting it directly into one of her outdoor trash cans. The whole process took a lot longer than they had anticipated since glass had found its way into the small crevices and areas they would not normally have looked, but they eventually got it done. They even boxed the vacuum back up after they sprayed it with the fire extinguisher.
By the time they finished, the sun was coming up, making it easier for Scully to take pictures to document the damage for insurance purposes. She looked at Mulder as he stood outside, looking at the hole the shattered window left behind.
“So, what do we do about this?” he asked, opening his hands wide, gesturing to it. “Do you have any large pieces of plywood to cover this? Big pieces of plastic or anything like that?”
“Yeah, I have plywood in the garage,” she said, rolling her eyes, taking the last picture and putting her phone away.
“Well, this house is super fancy, who knows what you’ve got hidden away here,” he said stepping through the frame and back into the house. “Ooh, I’m not going to run into a Jabberwock, am I?” He grinned at her, and she rolled her eyes again.
“That’s what you might find going through the looking glass, Mulder, not a broken window pane frame,” she said, shaking her head.
“Points awarded for not insisting, incorrectly, that it’s called a Jabberwocky,” he said dryly.
“‘The Jabberwocky’ is a poem written by Lewis Carroll, Mulder, about the Jabberwock. ‘Beware the Jabberwock, my son. The jaws that bite, the claws that catch! Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun The frumious Bandersnatch! ’” She quoted and he stared at her in fascinated amazement.
“God, Scully,” he stated, shaking his head and stepping past her. “How do you make a children’s poem so fucking hot? Between your device you had on you earlier and this … how’s a guy supposed to not be aroused? Jesus Christ …”
She laughed as she watched him walk out of the room and out of sight. He obviously needed a minute, and she would give it to him. She heard him sighing loudly, causing her to giggle quietly. After a few minutes had passed he walked back into the bedroom and stared at her.
“So, what do we do about the window? Have you called someone?” he asked, and she nodded.
“He’ll be here by 7, so less than an hour from now,” she said as he sighed and nodded his head, looking around the room.
“When he gets  here, do you wanna go get something to eat?” he asked. “From a real restaurant with real chefs. No more of this automation bullshit. I’m starving.”
“Starving?” she teased him, and he shrugged.
“Unlike you, Scully, I wasn’t able to eat my dinner. All I’ve had since then is cold toaster pastries, and seeing as how you’ve offered no refreshments, I’m ready for some breakfast. Eggs and toast, some bacon. Mmm …” he moaned, closing his eyes.
“I have fruit in the fridge and there are some crackers in the kitchen cabinet next to the microwave. They have rosemary in them,” she offered, and he gave her a look of disgust. She rolled her eyes and smiled, shrugging her shoulders at him.
He grabbed two dining room chairs and brought them into the hallway to keep an eye on the place as they waited for the guy to arrive. She touched his shoulder as she went to the kitchen to cut up the strawberries she had in the fridge. She knew he would not refuse them if she offered them to him. Coming back a few minutes later, she handed him the bowl and sat down. Just as she suspected, he began to shovel them in his mouth.
She sat next to him and he offered her the bowl and she took one, eating it slowly. “Christ, Scully, come on …” he groaned, shaking his head. She laughed and took the next strawberry, eating it normally, his eyes cautiously turned away from her.
Twenty minutes later the guy showed up and Scully explained to him what happened. He whistled at the sight of the burnt room and shook his head, commenting that she was lucky to have gotten out unscathed. She nodded and thought how lucky she truly was, how close it was once again. They left for breakfast shortly after, another truck pulling up to help with the job at hand.
Now, finished with their meal prepared by real people, they were headed back to her place to check how things were progressing and to see what else needed doing. She still needed to call Alan and let him know what happened. Thinking about it made her sigh and hang her head. Mulder glanced over at her, and she sighed again.
“Not looking forward to explaining to Alan what happened,” she said, looking at him and he nodded.
“So, you’ll need to replace the carpet, fix the walls, replace items, check for any internal damage to that house,” he said, unlocking the doors so they could get in the car. They buckled their seat belts, and he put his hand on the back of her seat as he backed out of their parking spot. Putting both hands on the wheel, he headed toward her place. “So, you have all that to deal with, and you can’t possibly stay there of course. What’s your plan?”
She looked at him, smiling at what he was not saying. He shrugged, glancing at her before turning his eyes back to the road. “Once I know exactly what needs to be done at the house, I’ll make a decision,” she told him and he nodded.
“Well, just know that-”
“I know, Mulder,” she said covering his hand with her own. He grasped her hand and nodded again.
At the house, they found men pulling up carpet, the furniture placed outside in order to get the job done. Scully sighed as she began to go through the drawers of the dresser to see if anything was salvageable. Mulder asked where her suitcase was and went to get it for her when she said the guest room.
He came back with the suitcase and trash bags. “Just in case you need it,” he said. “I’m going to check the room some more.” She nodded, and he walked away.
Some of her clothing was fine and some had been singed through the wood. She put the clothes she would keep in the suitcase while with a heavy heart she tossed out her other things. Everything she packed would need a wash, but at least she had some clothing.
Mulder came back with a bag full of her toiletries and she smiled her thanks. “Do you have another bag? I’ll start loading up shoes,” he said and she stopped him briefly with a squeeze of his hand. He nodded and went to find the other bags in the guest room.
An hour and a half later, they had loaded up her car with items she would need. Some clothes, shoes, coats, toiletries, electronics, and other items. She called Alan and left a message to get in touch with her as soon as possible. Part of her was grateful she missed him, while the other part dreaded his return phone call.
The foreman in charge, Gary, said it would be a few weeks of work, at least, as they needed to check for major damage. Scully nodded and sighed, afraid that was going to be the answer.
“We’ll do what we can today and then board up the window. That glass has to be specially ordered,” Gary said with a sympathetic smile.
“Of course it does,” Scully sighed and then smiled slightly at him. “Thank you, Gary.” He nodded and headed back inside.
“Well, this seems fitting,” she said, putting her hands in her pockets. “Honestly, I’m surprised one of our places never blew up at some point in the past.” She laughed and he smiled.
“So many other things happened, just not that,” he nodded and put his hands in his pockets too, his eyes asking questions his mouth was not voicing.
“Mulder,” she began, but he cut her off.
“Scully,” he shook his head at her with a small smile. “It’s … you do what you want, whatever makes you most comfortable. I … it’s your decision and … the room is there if you want it, but I understand.”
She smiled and stepped closer to him, searching his face. “Thank you, Mulder,” she said quietly, her hands moving to hold his face. He leaned in and kissed her softly, his hands moving to her waist. She pulled back and sighed. “I’m going to go to a hotel. I … I think that would be best.” He stared at her and nodded, a small sad smile on his face.
Stepping back, he put his hands in his pockets again. “You want me to follow you? Help you unload the car?”
“No,” she answered. “I’ll be okay.”
He nodded and shuffled his feet around. “Well … then I should probably head home, make sure the onslaught of drones didn’t destroy the house. Maybe get some sleep,” he said with a shrug and smiled again, but she knew it was forced. She sighed, and he touched her face, his thumb stroking her cheek.
Stepping back, he smiled again and this time it almost reached his eyes. “Okay, I’ll talk to you later. Next time, I get to pick the restaurant, and maybe we can avoid this kind of fiasco.”
“Oh, this was my fault?” she asked, waving her arm toward the house, her eyebrows raised.
“You suggested the sushi place,” he responded with a shrug.
“And you didn’t tip, which set off this whole chain reaction.”
“Tip a place that gave me a disgusting smelling blobfish?!” he said taking his hands from his pockets and raising his arms in an exasperated stance. “How was I to know those goddamn robots were going to freak the fuck out?”
“And damn near kill me?” she said with a pointed look, causing him to hang his head. Lifting his head, he sighed, and she began to laugh. He shook his head, and she laughed harder.
“It’s a strange thing to laugh about, Scully,” he said and she laughed harder, the night finally catching up to her making her feel punch-drunk. “Go get some sleep.” He nodded, and she tried to sober up enough to say goodbye to him, but she failed. He waved to her as he got in his car, and she waved back.
Standing there alone, she looked around at the house again and sighed. Staying there had been fun, and she loved the comforts it afforded. Now she was going to be in a hotel for who knew how long. She easily could have gone back to the house with Mulder, stayed in the guest room again, but she knew how that would end. No chance would she be able to resist joining him in their bed this time. No chance.
She sighed as she looked at her burnt bedroom furniture sitting outside before getting in her car. The past couple of months had been wonderful, but even the amount of amazing sex they were having did not make a relationship. They were, and always would be, friends before everything else and right now, that was how it felt … kind of. Not ‘friends with benefits’ because that would never be who they were. Their attraction and desire for one another was far too strong for that. But right now … it felt like they were treading water, standing still, and waiting for something to happen.
Her phone beeped and she picked it up, finding a message from Mulder.
Hope purple is okay. Also, I thought you could do with an upgrade.
She frowned as she read it and then her cheeks flamed as the screenshot of an order he placed popped up. A new personal massager had been ordered and would be sent to the house. His house … their house. God, she hated the uncertainty she felt about it.
In no way am I trying to persuade you to change your mind, but just letting you know it will be here. Fully charged and ready for any activities you wish to use it for. ; )
Her pulse raced as she thought of the last time her old one was used, before it had been tossed away. She remembered the feel of it against her aroused flesh, the way it was dragged across her hot skin, the vibrations of it making her moan and shake, when it was placed exactly where she wanted and needed it.
“I love watching you come,” Mulder had whispered to her as he turned it up higher and she broke with a cry, clutching at his arm, spots dancing in front of her eyes.
The scent of chlorine from their tryst in the hot tub, had invaded her senses as she came down and pulled his hand away from her, the sensations too intense. In the fumble of limbs, it must have gotten knocked from his hand and fallen under the bed. There it had remained, forgotten, as she had not been in need of it recently.
Looking at her messages again, she zoomed in more closely at the order form, mainly the timestamp on it. He ordered it when they were in the diner, while she was in the bathroom it seemed, but he said nothing until now. God, she loved him.
Shaking her head, she typed out a response, her cheeks flushed and a huge smile on her face.
Purple will be most welcome. And an upgrade with a couple new speed settings? Keep it charged up, and I’ll be sure to stop by and find out what all the BUZZ is about.
Sending it to him, she set the phone in the cup holder and put the keys in the ignition and started the car. Glancing down when she heard a beep, she grinned at the three words she saw as she put the car in drive.
Jesus Christ, Scully …

Chapter 8  |  Chapter 10  |  Masterlist
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sam drove the three of you back to the motel in silence. His gaze continued to skim your face in the rear-view mirror every few minutes but you ignored him. You kept your eyes pointed out the window and up at the twinkling stars above. It was a clear night, not a cloud in sight, and it was beautiful. It took your mind off the throbbing pain in your cheekbone, even if for just a moment.
You darted into the motel room once Sam shifted into park, dutifully ignoring the brothers as you went. You needed to find some Tylenol, or advil… ibuprofen? Something. It probably wouldn’t hurt to look for an ice pack, either. Sam and Dean didn’t come in for a while. You were able to get some pain killers in your system and while you couldn’t find an icepack, you were able to use a cold can of coke you found in the fridge to ebb away at the ache. You found yourself wondering why on Earth you had jumped in between the fighting idiots. Why Dean? Why didn’t you step in to protect Sam? Probably because you were physically closer to Dean at the time, honestly, and you were clearly not thinking logically.
Dean came into the room with Sam shortly behind him, shutting the door and locking up for the night. Both stopped in their tracks when they saw you sitting on your bed with your back up against the headboard, holding a can of coke to your face.
“(Y/N),” Dean started, a lot more sober than he was a half an hour ago. You waved him off, not wanting to delve into the drama.
“Seriously, are you ok?” Sam piped in and you shrugged a shoulder in response. Dean was digging through his duffel bag now, looking for something.
“Ah, here they are,” he mumbled and then tossed a gel icepack to Sam and pulled out a small first aid kit. Sam caught the pack with ease and quickly put it in the freezer while Dean came around his bed and closer to you, “Can I, uh…?” He gestured vaguely to your bed, asking to sit.
You shrugged again, your curiosity getting the better of you. Dean sat gingerly on the side of the bed and gently took the can from your grasp. He sat it on the side table next to you and cracked open the first aid kit. He sighed, looking from the supplies up to your face. His calloused fingers hooked under your chin and softly turned your face into the light from the lamp. Your eyes watched him closely as he bit his bottom lip, taking in your bruised cheekbone. You hadn’t noticed earlier, when you were searching for medicine, but apparently your skin had cracked ever so slightly, leaving a small trail of blood down your face. Dean took out an alcohol wipe and patted it to the wound, cleaning your face of any dried blood he could find. You hissed slightly at the sting before biting your own lip to shut yourself up. He muttered a quick apology as he dabbed a cotton swab in antibacterial ointment and lightly applied it to the cut.
“You want a band aid? We’ve got scooby-doo,” he chuckled, his eyes meeting yours. You shook your head.
“Thanks, Dean,” you gave him a small smile. He hadn’t been this kind to you since the first week, when he offered to check on your sutures.
“Yeah, uh, don’t mention it,” he cleared his throat as he cleaned up the trash and packed away the first aid supplies. He took the coke with him and put it back in the fridge before pulling out a new one and bringing it over. It would take some time for the ice pack to freeze and the coke you had been using had grown warm.
“Here,” he handed you the cold can of soda and you smiled again, looking down briefly just to avert your eyes from his green stare. You weren’t used to him making eye contact with you and at this point you weren’t sure how to react.
He sat on Sam’s bed across from you and cleared his throat again, playing with his hands nervously. You realized then that Sam had gone to get a shower at some point while Dean was patching you up. Well, you thought to yourself, that’s awkward. Dean gives me attention for two seconds and Sam is suddenly invisible. It was your turn to clear your throat. You focused on the coke as a distraction and brought it back up to soothe your cheek.
“Look, (Y/N), I…. Why did you do it?” He had meant to apologize but he couldn’t help himself. He had to know what the hell had possessed her to jump in between him and some pissed-off drunk in the middle of a bar.
You had wondered the same thing earlier and still weren’t sure you had an answer, for either of you. You resorted to shrugging and gesticulating widely with your free hand.
“Well,” Dean’s voice became hard again, more along the lines of what you had become accustomed to, “Don’t do it again, right?”
You narrowed your eyes at the man, “I think what you were trying to say here, Dean, is ‘I’m sorry’ or maybe even ‘thank you’.”
“No, because if I thanked you for acting like a brainless git then you would be tempted to do it again.”
“A brainless—Where do you get off, Winchester? You’re the idiot that got drunk off his ass tonight. It wasn’t Sam or I that decided it would be fun to pick a fight with some biker twice our size. We just came to pick you up, ok?”
“Well, Sammy should’ve left you here,” he tensed his jaw, meeting your glare.
“That’s what you’re going with? That is your defense? Sammy should have left poor defenseless, brainless, (Y/N) at the motel?”
“No, (Y/N), that’s not what I mea—”
“Shut it, Dean. I’m going to sleep, you can go fuck yourself,” you cut him off, tired of his bullshit. You placed the coke onto the side table, restraining yourself from throwing it at his head, and turned your back to him.
Dean made a frustrated sound somewhere between a yell and a grunt as he got up and stormed back out of the motel. You briefly wondered if he was heading back to the bar, or if perhaps he was going to sleep outside tonight? You gave yourself a mental shake. I didn’t concern you what he did or where he went, after all.
Sam sighed, having been out of the shower long enough to see the tail end of your conversation. You jumped, startled at the noise. You hadn’t noticed the sound of the water shutting off or the bathroom door opening as you had fought with Dean. The younger brother didn’t say anything, choosing to follow Dean out of the room instead. You rolled your eyes before sliding out of your jeans, unhooking your bra under your shirt, and tossing them both to the floor beside your bed. Fuck them, you tried to tell yourself as you climbed under the sheets. You tried to force yourself to hold on to the anger, but it was hard with the image of a very-concerned Dean biting his lip while trying to take care of you repeatedly popping up in your mind’s eye. You sighed, turning over, and tried to will yourself to sleep.
---
You woke up to a black eye the following day but you couldn’t say you were surprised. You found it when you went to wash your face and brush your teeth. You hadn’t asked the guys to buy you anything frivolous, like makeup for example, so you had no concealer to hide it with. You sighed, at least I’m not going anywhere anytime soon.
“Good morning, (Y/N)…” Sam’s sentence died when he saw your face.
“It’s fine, Sammy,” you answered as you started to pull some eggs out of the mini fridge, “You hungry?”
“Oh, no, I had a smoothie earlier.”
“Before your run?”
Sam grinned, “Yeah, before my run. Why don’t you go with me one of these mornings?”
It was your turn to cringe, “Yeah….about that….”
Dean waltzed into the motel room, the door hitting the wall behind it with a thud.
“I brought coffee,” he announced, carrying a cardboard cupholder with three steaming cups nestled securely in it.
You tucked the eggs back into the fridge at the site of coffee. You didn’t get much sleep last night, tossing and turning quite a bit. You had hazy memories of troublesome dreams but you couldn’t bring the images into focus. Giving yourself yet another mental shake, you gratefully accepted the Styrofoam cup Sam had taken from Dean and offered to you. You took a sip and sighed, your eyes fluttering closed as the ambrosia hit your tongue and lit up your taste buds.
“Did I get it right?” Dean chuckled at your reaction.
Your eyes snapped open to find him staring at you with a hint of a grin still on his face. You narrowed your eyes slightly and bit your tongue, not wanting to yell at him first thing in the morning, especially when he had brought you coffee. This was probably his way of apologizing for last night, you thought to yourself, but you would rather he just say he’s sorry. You nodded your head and hummed that he had indeed gotten your order right; two creams two sugars. How he knew how you liked your coffee was beyond you. You didn’t linger on it, instead offering your help to Sam with research or whatever he needed.
“How long are you going to let me live with you before you let me help you with your ‘investigation’?” you curled two of the fingers on your free hand in the air when you said investigation. You knew they weren’t private investigators; they may as well fess up at this point.
Sam chuckled and shook his head, “You can live with us as long as you want, (Y/N), but we’re not pulling you into our work anytime soon.”
“Or ever,” Dean added.
“Why’s that?” you asked between sips of coffee, following the two men to the small table that held Sam’s laptop.
“It’s not safe,” Dean’s voice came across sternly, as if he was trying to put an end to the conversation. He only piqued your curiosity further.
“Not safe? What, are you secret assassins?” You laughed the same way you had when you asked Sam if he was a drug dealer. You missed the look the brothers shared when you sipped your coffee.
“Yes, (Y/N), we’re assassins,” Sam answered in a flat tone as he booted up the computer.
“Oooh, so you privately investigate people before you kill ‘em?” You wiggled your eyebrows at him.
“Yes, (Y/N), and we’re also ninjas,” Dean added, biting back a grin.
You tried not to glare at him. After last night you may or may not be harboring a grudge.
“Cool. Private-investigating ninja-assassins. Sign me up, boys, I want in,” you grinned, wincing when it stung your cheek.
Dean’s smile faltered as you winced, “You ok?”
You bit your tongue once again, willing yourself to be nice for Sam’s sake if nothing else. Rather than answering him you simply nodded and took another sip of your coffee. If you can't say something nice, don't say nothing at all….right?

“Changbin,” Jisung called as he knocked on his bedroom door. Not receiving an answer, he welcomed himself in and found a still sleeping Changbin curled up on his bed. “Hyung?” he called again, sitting down on the edge of the bed, “Did you see Chan’s text last night?”
“Hng?” he mumbled into his pillow as he shifted under the sheets, “I didn’t check my phone last night.”
“Oh… well, he wanted to have a 3racha day today so he invited both of us to go to the amusement park with him. Do you think you’re feeling well enough to go?”
“Not really… I still feel like shit.”
“Damn…” Jisung sighed, worriedly glancing back at Changbin, “He wanted to celebrate after finishing our recording so he was really looking forward to it… I’ll let him know you don’t feel good.”
He waited for a confirmation from Changbin, but got nothing, so he decided to just head back to his room and start getting ready. Jisung really did feel bad that Changbin couldn’t come, but secretly, he was kind of excited that it would just be him and Chan… it was like a second date!
“Hello?”
“Hi, Chan-hyung!” Jisung greeted through the phone as he looked through his closet for a nice outfit, “So um… I’ve got some good news, and bad news.”
“Okay, let’s hear the bad first.”
“So, Changbin has been sick since yesterday afternoon… this morning I checked up on him, but he said he still doesn’t feel good so he’s not gonna come today.”
“Oh, he’s sick? He seemed alright at his recording yesterday… tell him I hope he feels better soon. So what’s the good news?”
“I’m going!” Jisung said excitedly, finally deciding on an outfit and laying it out on his bed.
“Oh,” Chan chuckled at the excitement in Jisung’s voice, “Alright, so it’ll just be the two of us then?”
“Yeah, I guess so,” he answered, trying to sound a little less giddy as he changed into the clothes he’d picked out.
“Okay then, I’ll be at your place in like fifteen minutes to pick you up.”
“Sounds good! See you soon.”
“See you.”
Cupping his face in his hands, Jisung laughed hysterically to himself, unable to wipe the huge smile off his face. He couldn’t even process the excitement he was feeling about being alone with Chan again, and even more so, at an amusement park. Even though it wasn’t intended to be a date, the given circumstances were sure as hell making it seem like one.
Recollecting himself, he finished styling his hair and gave himself a few spritz of his favorite cologne before packing a condom and mints in his pants pockets, as always, and just as he finished getting ready, he heard his phone go off.
[Chan 11:43 am]: Im here
As excited as he was, he was also nervous. This was the first time they’d be spending time together with Chan knowing Jisung was gay, and although he was supportive when he came out, hanging out now would be completely different. What if Chan started being awkward around him because he knew Jisung was into guys now? He knew Chan was a nice person, but this was sexuality they were talking about; if Chan was straight and he suspected that Jisung had a crush on him, the close friendship they shared and developed up to this point could be put on the line. It was a bit scary for Jisung to be honest, but he really liked Chan, so he wanted to make a genuine effort to be with him. If it didn’t work out, well then he would just accept that it’s not meant to be… at least that’s what he told himself.
“Hey,” Jisung greeted as he opened the passenger side door of the company van.
“Hey,” Chan smiled, peering over at Jisung as he made himself comfortable and slung his seatbelt on, “You look nice!”
“Oh, uh… thanks!” Jisung stuttered, his eyes falling to the floor nervously, “Um… you too.”
“No need to flatter me,” Chan chuckled as he put the car back into drive and started making his way to the amusement park. “So… do you know when Changbin started feeling sick?”
“Hm… not exactly, but it must’ve been shortly after the recording yesterday. He said he was gonna meet me at the practice room, but he didn’t show up, and then when I got home I found him in the bathroom. It didn’t sound too good…”
“I see…” Chan nodded, a serious expression on his face as he focused intensely on the road.
“Yeah… he said it’s just food poisoning, but I’m not too sure. Sometimes, Changbin tries to act tough and hide when he’s hurting, but I don’t like to fight with him about it,” Jisung shrugged, turning to look out the window before continuing, “I’m sure he’ll go to the doctor if it’s bad enough, so I’m trying not to worry.”
“I agree, as long as he knows his limits he should be fine.”
* * *
Changbin groaned as he stretched out his arms and then reached for his phone, checking the time through half lidded eyes. Damn, it’s 2 already? he sighed, rubbing his face as he slowly sat himself up and dragged himself out of bed.
“Jisung,” he called as he walked out into the hall towards Jisung’s bedroom, but there was no answer. “Jisung?” he called again, knocking on the door before opening it and peeking inside. You’ve gotta be fucking kidding me…
Finding an empty room, he quickly made a round around their small apartment to double check, but as suspected, Jisung was nowhere to be found. Changbin only sighed in response knowing there was nothing he could do about it at that point. He was just in utter disbelief that Jisung cared more about going out with Chan than staying home to make sure his best friend was okay… was something going on between them?
He had suffered enough last night, getting caught up in his thoughts about Chan, so he tried his best not to think about it; the last thing he wanted was another bad flare up. Wanting to keep himself busy, he thought it’d be a good idea to clean up around the house, taking out the trash, washing the dishes, doing the laundry, vacuuming, and so on. By the time he’d finished, it was almost dinner time, so he decided to go out and treat himself at a nice restaurant since Jisung was probably gonna be out for a while more.
As he sat at his table waiting for his food to be served, he found himself scrolling through his social media to pass the time; it was pretty boring though, there wasn’t much to see. He was just about to get off of the app when he noticed a post from the 3racha account on his feed, so he scrolled down to see what it was. To no surprise, it was selfies of Chan and Jisung and they were posing together on the ferris wheel.
Even though he wasn’t surprised, Changbin definitely wasn’t happy about seeing pictures like that. All he could think to himself was, why couldn’t it be me? He wasn’t one hundred percent sure if Chan and Jisung had feelings for each other, but seeing as Jisung had been acting strangely these days and avoiding Changbin’s questions, it was hard for him to ignore the eerie feeling he’d developed in regards to their relationship.
If they really did have something though… why? What’s so different about Jisung that Changbin doesn’t have? What does Chan see in him? Is it because Jisung is more bubbly? Taller? Better looking? It bothered him knowing that Chan could possibly like Jisung and not even that long after their one night stand. Did Chan really not care about him?
He was able to go the entire day flower free, but good things don’t last forever, right? Just as the waitress brought his food, he could feel the familiar tightness building up in his lungs accompanied by his increasing heart rate and an intense urge to cough.
“Um excuse me…” he called to the waitress as she walked away, “Where’s the restroom?”
“In that corner over there, just past the wall,” she pointed as she spoke, “You’ll see the sign.”
“Thank you,” Changbin barely finished as he rushed to the corner as she’d directed, tears filling his eyes as he continued to fight back his urge to cough. It’s not that this disease was critical and would cause people to panic if they saw someone who had it; it wouldn’t cause death in its early stages and it wasn’t contagious. But Changbin found it rather embarrassing and it just made him feel extremely pathetic. How can an idiot really be hung up on a person who treats them like shit and doesn’t like them back? If people knew that some dude was struggling with unrequited love long enough to have reached the fourth stage, green petals… then doesn’t that show weakness? That he’s not strong enough to move forward? Besides being noticed by people in public, maybe that’s also why he was so afraid to tell Jisung. He didn’t want him to think he was weak.
Arriving at the bathroom just in time, he shut and locked the door before his lungs spewed dozens of green lily petals into the toilet bowl. It always hurt more after dwelling on his thoughts for a long time and it also seemed to be hurting more as his disease continued to progress; when would it end? Clutching his sides in pain, he closed his eyes as he tried his best to steady his labored breathing. It took a few minutes for him to finally regain strength enough to pull himself back together, although part of it was forced just because he wanted to get out of that place as soon as he could.
Once he got back to his table, he asked for his check and to have his food taken out instead, not really having much of an appetite anymore after his sudden outburst. By the time he got back home, it was nearly 8, but still Jisung hadn’t come home. How long were they gonna be out anyways?
* * *
“So did you have fun?” Chan asked as he and Jisung found an open table to sit down and eat their food at.
“Yes! Thank you so much for bringing me,” Jisung smiled as he bit into his burger.
Chan chuckled, finding Jisung’s reaction cute, “I’m glad. We should definitely do this more often.”
Jisung’s eyes grew wide at Chan’s comment, surprised to hear that he felt that way. It’s true that he might’ve been thinking more of it than it really was, but knowing that Chan wanted to spend more time with him regardless if it was platonic or not made Jisung’s heart flutter. The more he could bond with Chan, the more he felt like he had a chance.
“I mean… unless you don’t want to,” Chan interrupted teasingly in response to Jisung’s silence.
“N-no no, that’s not it! I do want to… I was just surprised… is all…”
Chan could only laugh again, seeing how flustered Jisung was. He wasn’t really sure, but he was starting to get an inkling that maybe Jisung had a crush on him. Even though this whole amusement park hangout was meant to be for 3racha, he was thankful to have another opportunity with just Jisung so he could test if his hypothesis was correct. “Did you have any last things you wanted to do before we leave?” Chan asked before finishing off his food.
For a moment Jisung sat there, thinking if there was anything else he wanted to do. As he glanced around the park that was now beautifully illuminated in the night, there was actually one thing that stood out to him and caught his attention. “Um… if you’re up for it, do you want to go on the ferris wheel again? Since it’s dark now, maybe we can see the city lights.”
“Sure,” Chan smiled, “I wanted to go again too, actually.”
After finishing up their food and cleaning up the table, the two of them made their way back to the ferris wheel. Thankfully, the line wasn’t too long so they were able to get into a cart fairly quickly. Slowly the cart made its ascent as other people boarded after them and as Jisung mentioned, once they were high enough, the breathtaking view of the city came into view, the street lights glowing under the starry night sky.
“Hyung, look,” Jisung gawked as he stared out the window, “It’s so beautiful.”
Chan took the opportunity to scoot closer to him, slinging his arm over the back of Jisung’s side of the bench as he peered over his shoulder, “It definitely is… but I’ve got my eyes on something else.”
Jisung’s face suddenly began to heat up, hands growing clammy as his heart began to pound. He was really hoping it was him that Chan was referring to, but it seemed too good to be true. He didn’t want to give himself false hope.
“Y-you do?” he answered, not wanting to make assumptions too quickly. As he turned to face Chan, he was startled to see that he’d scooted closer while he wasn’t paying attention and his face was now just a hair's width away from his own.
“Stop me if you don’t like it,” Chan barely whispered before pressing his lips against Jisungs. His eyes widened at Chan’s abrupt advance, his face even more flushed now than earlier as he sat there in shock. “Not gonna kiss me back?” Chan mumbled as he pulled away, his hand going up to brush over Jisung’s cheek, “I’ll stop if—”
Before he could finish, Jisung reconnected their lips, his arms wrapping around Chan’s waist to pull him closer. Chan chuckled against Jisung’s lips, feeling his fiery passion emanating from the kiss and how much he’d probably been longing for this moment to happen… so it was finally confirmed that Jisung did in fact like Chan.
The two gasped for air as Jisung finally pulled away, still slightly appalled by what had just happened. Did this mean… Chan liked him too?
“I guess… you really are a virgin, huh?” Chan teased upon noticing the slight tent in Jisung’s pants, likely from their brief make-out session, “I believe you now.”
“Yah…” Jisung whined as he turned away from Chan, embarrassed, and covered his crotch area with his hands.
“What? I didn’t say it was a bad thing. You’re young, better to save it for the right person anyways.”
“And what if… I think that person is you?” Just after Jisung said that, he regretted it; that wasn’t at all how he planned to confess to Chan. He imagined it being much smoother and more romantic.
“Is that so?” Chan grinned, “Well, if you think so, I’d definitely love to be that person for you.”
“R-really? I mean… not just the sex part, though… I actually… really like you, Chan-hyung.”
“I know, and I like you, too, Jisung.”
Jisung had the biggest smile plastered onto his face at the sound of Chan’s words, tempted to pinch himself to make sure he wasn’t dreaming. Chan really just told him that he liked him back and this was the first time they spent any time together after their last hang out when he first came out. It was a little hard for him to believe but he also didn’t think Chan would lie to him, especially about something as sensitive as romantic feelings.
His thoughts were interrupted by the cart door being opened by one of the park attendants, who then gestured for them to exit the ride. The two boys bowed slightly, thanking the person as they stepped out of the cart and started making their way back to the van. Jisung was still speechless and lost in his thoughts as they walked and Chan could tell; he didn’t want to interrupt though, so he let him be, following close behind until they finally arrived back in the parking lot. By the time they left, it was past 8 and so when they got back to Jisung’s place, it was almost 9.
“Hyung…” he started, catching Chan by surprise as he parked the van up against the curb.
“Hm?” he replied, turning his head to face Jisung, “Is something wrong?”
“Um… there’s something I wanna try…” he stated shyly, eyes falling to the floor as he awaited Chan’s response.
“Alright, what is it?”
Jisung was hesitant about answering, but he really just dug his own grave. He already brought it up so there was no running away now. “Uh well… do you think we could um… go in the back seat first?”
“Oh?” Chan questioned, cocking his head at Jisung who looked quite embarrassed, “Yeah, that’s fine with me.” Chan smirked to himself knowingly as he got out of his seat and met Jisung in the back seat and shut the door behind him. He didn’t know exactly what Jisung wanted to do but he could definitely assume the premise of it. “So, what is it you wanted to try?”
Jisung froze, staring  at Chan as he tried to build up enough courage to share his request, but he kept having second thoughts. He couldn’t help but think it’d be strange and abrupt to just ask Chan to make out with him again, and on top of that he’d probably end up thinking Jisung was desperate. After that little taste Chan gave him on the ferris wheel though, he just couldn’t get it out of his mind; he wanted to feel it again but this time longer, more passionate, and maybe it could even lead to more if he was lucky… he didn’t carry a condom with him at all times for nothing.
After waiting in silence for too long, Chan snickered before finally breaking the silence, “Let me guess… it has something to do with what happened on the ferris wheel.” Scooting closer, Chan placed a hand on Jisung’s thigh, his other hand going up to caress Jisung’s face, thumb brushing over his smooth, rosy cheek.
Jisung barely nodded, eyes wide with anticipation in hopes that Chan would be the one to initiate it again. He barely made out a grin forming on Chan’s lips when he let his eyes flutter shut, waiting to feel the amazing feeling he felt on the ferris wheel for the second time.
For a moment, Chan only looked at him in amusement; it was adorable how Jisung became so reliant when he was nervous, but he was almost certain now that he knew what Jisung wanted. Leaning in, Chan finally pressed his plump lips against Jisung’s, earning himself a little gasp from the younger boy. The hand he had upon Jisung’s face, soon shifted instead  to the nape of his neck sending chills down his spine while the hand on his thigh slowly inched higher and higher, giving him light squeezes in between. He could feel his insides tingling from the combination of sensations he was feeling and to add to that, Chan slipped his tongue into Jisung’s mouth without any warning, making his breath hitch in his throat.
Jisung could feel the crotch of his pants starting to tighten again, his burning desire for Chan building up again and intensifying, far exceeding what he felt on the ferris wheel. He never knew that he could be so attracted to a guy in this way, or any way really, it made him want to do everything with Chan and he couldn’t get enough of his touch.
Reaching for the hand on his thigh, Jisung did something completely unexpected; he wasn’t sure if it was his hyperactive libido acting or if he was just that comfortable with Chan now, but before he could even think about it, he had dragged Chan’s hand further up his leg until it finally landed on his bulging erection. He felt Chan smirk against his lips before slightly pulling away to speak. “I didn’t know you could be so bold,” Chan chuckled, fingers curling around Jisung’s girth as much as his pants allowed.
As much as Jisung wanted to reply, his brain was too overwhelmed to form words, only a soft moan slipping out of his mouth in response to the new sensation. Even with clothes in between, Chan’s hands just felt so damn good and he couldn’t get enough of it. “Hyung,” he whimpered, gripping Chan’s bicep to brace himself, “Y-you… can do what you want… t-to me.”
“Are you sure?” Chan asked, momentarily halting his movements.
Nodding his head, Jisung desperately urged his hips upwards, wanting Chan to continue his glorious fingerwork. “I trust you.”
Chan grinned in acknowledgement before proceeding to touch Jisung again. “Okay. I’ll go easy on you… since you’re a virgin.”
“Yah… you always make fun of me,” Jisung whined, inhaling sharply as Chan began toying with his head, “Have you done it before or something?”
“Maybe,” he shrugged, pausing his hand movements again to undo Jisung’s pants, “And I only make fun of you because I think you’re cute.”
Jisung felt his face heating up again at Chan’s words, eyes glued to Chan’s hands to avoid his gaze. Did he really just call me… cute? I must be dreaming…
The air felt cool around Jisung’s throbbing cock as Chan pulled down his briefs, letting it free, precum starting to seep from the tip in anticipation. Chan skillfully spread the substance around with his thumb before wrapping his fingers around his shaft, slowly beginning to pump him.
Jisung struggled to hold in his moans, the skin on skin contact of Chan’s hand on him presenting a new degree of pleasure that he’d never felt on his own. He honestly imagined it’d feel comparable to masturbating, but there was just something about Chan’s touch that felt so much better, though, he couldn’t quite put a finger on what it was exactly. He’d barely done anything, and Jisung already felt like his end was nearing.
“Feel good, Sungie?” Chan smirked against his ear, gently nipping at it before pressing a few kisses along his jaw and down his neck.
“Fuck,” Jisung groaned, face scrunched as he tried to fight back his orgasm, wanting to hold on to the blissful feeling Chan was giving him just a little longer.
“You’re close aren’t you?” he mumbled into his neck, fingers sliding up to play with his slick, sensitive head, “Just relax.”
“God, Chan-” Jisung gritted his teeth as he clenched onto Chan’s shirt sleeve, feeling his insides starting to tingle. He was holding on to his composure by only a single thread, but Chan had other plans, showing him no mercy as he suddenly picked up speed making Jisung gasp. “Chan I’m—”
Before he could even finish his sentence, and intense pleasure erupted throughout his body, making him tense up as his head fell forward, hair covering the profanities that he mouthed as he spilled his hot seed. Chan hovered his hand over Jisung’s member to prevent the substance from shooting onto his clothes, instead letting it drip down his hand and accumulate in one place. Once Jisung finished riding out his high, Chan kicked out a tissue box from under the seat to clean up the mess, while Jisung attempted to catch his breath and collect himself before doing anything else.
“That was… amazing,” Jisung mumbled, slumped back in his seat with his eyes still closed.
“I’m glad,” Chan smiled as he wadded up the used tissues and tossed them into the front cup holder to discard later.
Wearily, Jisung turned his head, staring at Chan through his hooded lids before his gaze fell down to Chan’s crotch.
“Hyung! You’re hard,” Jisung gasped, reaching down to cup his bulging erection when he was abruptly stopped by a firm grip on his wrist.
“You should go,” Chan spoke solemnly, a glint of worry in his eyes, “Changbin is probably waiting for you.”
“But Chan!” Jisung whined, “After you did that for me… I have to return the favor…”
“Another time, Jisung… it’s 9:30 already.”
“But—”
Pressing his lips to Jisung’s, he quickly shut him up, but the kiss was brief as he still stood by his earlier words. “Go,” he said again as he pulled away, quickly opening the side door and hopping out after, “I’ll text you tomorrow.”
Jisung was sad to leave, but he knew Chan was right. Changbin was home alone, sick for literally the entire day because Jisung wanted to spend time alone with Chan. He hated to admit it, but it was an extremely selfish decision and he didn’t even want to think about how Changbin probably felt; he knew it’d make him feel even more guilty than he already did.
When Jisung stepped into the apartment, he found Changbin sitting on the couch watching TV, completely unphased by his arrival.
“Wow. Aren’t you late,” Changbin remarked, his focus never leaving the tv as he spoke.
“Y-yeah, I guess… a little?” Jisung said nervously as he took off his shoes and set them aside.
“So, how was your date?”
“W-what? What do you mean?”
“Stop playing innocent already. It’s getting annoying.”
“I… don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“I saw the damn van parked outside at least twenty minutes ago, don’t lie to me! What the hell were you doing in there for twenty minutes?! or maybe even longer, I don’t know!”
“I…” Shit.

If being at this place during the day was creepy enough, at night was a total nightmare. The figures seemed to be bigger than they were, and you could have sworn you saw Gandhi blink when you passed by him. Sam went to go fetch a metal trashcan to burn the items while Dean picked Lincoln’s top hat off the figure and placed it on his own head.
“Check it out,” he grinned before lowering his voice to imitate the president. “Four score and seven years ago, I had a funny hat.”
“Dean,” Sam sighed as he held out his hand for the hat.
“We can't have any fun with this?” he scoffed before tossing the hat in the trash can.
“Let's just torch the objects, torch the ghosts, get outta here. Okay?”
“I'll go grab East of Eden's keychain,” Dean smiled before leaving the room through big double doors.
“Better go with him in case he tries to mess around,” you said as you patted Sam’s shoulder before you left. “Dean?”
“Over here,” he grinned as he stared at the replica of Little Bastard with James Dean next to it. He had the keychain in his hand, but he was staring at the wax figure.
“Don’t these creep you out?”
“You’re creeped out? This is awesome,” he chuckled.
“Come on, Sam is waiting for us,” you shook your head.
Leaving his side, you were about to go back into the other room when the double doors slammed and locked on their own. Quickly glancing back at Dean, you rushed over to the doors and tried to open them.
“Dean? Y/N!” Sam exclaimed as he tried to open the doors. They wouldn’t budge for him and they wouldn’t budge for you either.
“Sam!” you yelled as you rammed your shoulder against the doors to see if that technique would work.
“You’re going to dislocate your shoulder before getting those doors open,” Dean said as he tried to pick the lock.
“No time. Move,” you instructed before blue magic shot from your hands like blue flames. Placing your hands on the door, you gave it a hard shove and they opened with ease.
“Next time start with that,” Dean commented as he rushed inside. Where the Gandhi figure was, Sam and a real-life Gandhi were on the floor with Gandhi’s arms around his neck.
“Is that Gandhi?” Dean gasped. “Dude, he's squirrelly.”
“Get the—” Gandhi elbowed Sam in the chest, momentarily winding him.
“Glasses!” you exclaimed as you snatched the glasses from the figure and tossed it into the trashcan while Dean poured salt and lighter fluid in it.
As soon as he dropped the lighter in it, Gandhi disappeared in a black poof. Frowning, you rushed over to Sam to help him up.
“You couldn't have been a fan of someone cool?” Dean scoffed as his brother stared at him with his eyes narrowed. “Really? Gandhi?”

Since technically you torched the items, then you should be clear to leave town, but there has been something that was bugging you about the whole thing. Ghosts go up in flames and screams when they get torched, but not this one. This one just… vanished.
“Ready to blow this joint?” Dean asked his brother and his girlfriend.
“Dean, didn't it strike you as strange the way Gandhi just... vanished?” you asked as Sam came out of the bathroom with a frown on his face.
“Strange how?”
“No screaming, no big flame-out, I mean, that isn't the way ghosts usually go,” Sam answered for you.
“Still, I torched, he vanished.”
“I feel like he was...trying to take a bite out of me.”
“A bite?” you asked.
“Yeah, like he was hungry. But the thing is, Gandhi—the real Gandhi—he was a fruitarian.”
“Let me get this straight,” Dean laughed. “Your, uh, ultimate hero was not only a short man in diapers, but he was also a fruitarian?”
“That's not the point.”
“That is good. That is—even for you, that is good.”
“Look, I'm just saying, I'm not so sure this thing is over.”
“It was a ghost. It was a weirdly super-charged fruitarian ghost, but it was still a ghost. Now let's go,” Dean said as he picked up his bag.
“So first you drag me into town, and now you're dragging me back out.”
“You ain't steering this boat. Let's go, chop chop.”
“You know, this isn't gonna work,” Sam sighed as he set his toiletries bag down.
“What isn't?”
“Us. You, me, Y/N, together, I—I thought it could, but it can't.”
“You're the one that wanted back in, chief.”
“And you're the one who called me back in.”
“I still think we got some trust building to do,” Dean said while you silently packed your bag.
“How long am I gonna be on double-secret probation?”
“Till I say so.”
“Look. I know what I did and what I've done. I am trying to climb out of that hole, I am, but you're not making it any easier.”
“So, what am I supposed to do, just let you off the hook?”
“No. You can think whatever you want. I deserve it, and worse. Hell, you'll never punish me as much as I'm punishing myself, but the point is, if we're gonna be a team—you, Y/N, and I—it has to be a two-way street.”
“So, we just go back to the way we were before?”
“It didn’t really work that way before,” you sighed as you added your input.
“What does that mean?”
“How do you think we got here?” Sam asked. “One of the reasons I went off with Ruby... was to get away from you. It made me feel strong. Like I wasn't yours or Y/N’s kid brother.”
“Are you saying this is our fault?” Dean scoffed.
“No, it's my fault. All I'm saying is that, if we're gonna do this, we have to do it different, we can't just fall into the same rut.”
“What do you want us to do?” you asked as you joined Dean’s side and faced Sam.
“You two are gonna have to let me grow up, for starters.” Dean’s phone rang which cut the tension like a knife, and Dean answered it even if he wasn’t in the mood.
“Yeah?” he looked at you and Sam before looking away. “Yeah, yeah, okay.”
“What is it?” you asked once he hung up.
“I guess you two were right about this not being over.”

The Sheriff called Dean when another group came to report a missing person in the same way that Cal or even William was reported. Walking into the station, you immediately went over to Rick who seemed at a loss for words.
“Sheriff Carnegie? What happened?”
“I don’t know,” he stuttered with a shake of his head. He indicated to an interview room where two young women were sitting and crying. Frowning, you walked over to the room with the brothers before entering it.
“Excuse me, ladies. We’re with the FBI. Can you tell us what happened?” you asked in a nice voice.
“It was horrible!”
“Way horrible.”
“What was?” Sam asked.
“I thought she'd be nice!” the first girl gasped.
“I still can't believe it.”
“Believe what?” Dean asked.
“She took Danielle!” the first girl exclaimed.
“Ladies take a deep breath and just tell us who took your friend. You’re safe in here,” you tried the soothing tone of voice for their sake.
“It was... Paris Hilton.”
“I’m sorry, what?” Sam gasped.
“Where did… Paris… take your friend?” you wondered.
“We don’t know. They just vanished!”
“Would you excuse us for just a minute?” Dean chuckled as he took you and Sam out of the room
“Paris Hilton's not dead as far as we know, right?”
“No, she isn’t. Which means it’s not a ghost. Either she’s a homicidal maniac or we missed something completely,” you sighed.
“What do you want to do?”
“I think we need to check out the victims.”
“Not it,” Dean said quickly before putting his finger on his nose. “Have fun with that.”
Tumblr media
“Did you find anything in there?” you asked as Sam looked through Cal’s file.
“There was a substance in his stomach that they didn’t remove.”
“Are you going to go digging, or am I?” you asked as you snapped on some white latex gloves with a smile.
“Ladies first…?”
“Wimp,” you smirked as you grabbed the scalpel. Taking a deep breath, you started to cut the man’s chest so you could go digging for gold. “Don’t take Dean so seriously.”
“What?”
“He’s just… overwhelmed, I guess. Zachariah sent me and Dean five years into the future, and we saw some pretty terrible things. Just don’t say yes to Lucifer, okay? Whatever you do, don’t say yes,” you whispered as you stuck your hand inside his chest before feeling your way around.
“You find anything?”
“Yeah, actually,” you frowned before grasping the two small hard objects. Pulling them out, you stared at the seeds that were in his stomach. “Are these seeds? And there should have been a lot more blood here.”
“I think we need to check out William,” Sam declared.
“Alright, but it’s your turn to go into the deep, dark, abyss,” you smirked. After Sam had checked William out and found the same exact seed in his stomach, you two quickly bagged the items and left the place to meet Dean who was waiting outside.
“I can't believe we missed it,” Sam sighed.
“Missed what?” Dean asked as he stood up and started to head back to the Impala.
“We went back over the other two vics. There was blood loss. Major. More blood loss than a car crash or a GSW should cause.”
“It’s like something is feeding,” you finished.
“And then,” Sam took out the baggie with the seeds in it, “there were these.”
“What are those, seeds?”
“Yeah. They were in both vics' bellies.”
“I hope you two washed your hands,” Dean shuddered.
“They're unlike any seed I've ever seen before, Dean.”
“Wow, just when I thought you couldn't get any geekier,” he chuckled before walking to the driver’s side of the car. Patting Sam on the shoulder, you got in the back so that more research could be done at the motel.

Cutest widdle maid (Power pack/ Spider-man)
Written by my sweetiekins, and posted with permission.
Alex blushed as he went up to Peter's door holding it as he knocked on the door as he hopped foot to foot looking around nervously as he then looked at his duffel bag for what must have been the 12th time since leaving his house. The door opened and Peter looked at Alex with a look of surprise and yet something else. "Hey Alex, What brings you here? Everything okay?" Peter asked as he moved aside to let Alex into the house and then closed the door behind the blonde. Peter smiled as he sat back down on his sofa as he nodded for Alex to sit in the chair next to the sofa. "No. Nothing is wrong But..." Alex said as he bit his lip and looked at Peter. "I heard that you offer babying services to guys who are into that kind of thing." Alex said as Peter nodded. "Yep I do." Peter said as he was about to get up to take Alex to his nursery but then paused when he saw the duffel bag. "Is that why your here?" Peter asked as Alex thought for a moment. "Kinda." Alex replied as he closed his eyes then blurted out. "Will you please make me your diapered maid?!" As soon as the words were out of Alex's mouth he blushed and then covered his mouth. Peter took a moment to process what Alex had just asked him. Peter had had diaper boys, sissies, even a diaper dog. But never had he had a boy ask to be his diapered maid. Peter sat back into the sofa with a grin that spread across his face. "So you want to be diapered and clean up my place?" He asked Alex thinking this could be a pretty sweet deal. Peter could be a slob at times. Alex nodded then said "I'll do a good job!"  and then he looked at Peter with pleading eyes. Peter nodded. "I'm sure you will and I'd love to indulge you but I don't have any maid outfits." Peter said as he looked a little disappointed that as he then got up to tell Alex to come back in a week. "I got a maid outfit and diapers!" Alex quickly said. "I  even maid sure it fit me." Alex said as he got up holding his duffel bag. Peter broke out into a grin. "Okay. We'll I normally charge but since you brought all the stuff and your going to be cleaning it can be free for you to come over and be my maid." Peter said as he put a arm around Alex and lead him to the nursery. Once in the nursery Alex was taken aback by the smell as he held his nose and saw the source of the smell. A very large diaper pail that was full of used diaper, but the diapers were the biggest size that Alex had ever seen. "Yeah sorry about that. The hulk was just here before you came over." Peter said with a small smirk as he patted the changing table. "Hop on up so that you can get to work." Peter said as he looked at Alex who got onto the changing table and blushed as Peter bucked the strap over Alex's chest. "Can't be too careful can we?" Peter added and then winked at Alex. Peter smiled as he pulled down Alex's pants and underwear in one swift motion as he looked at Alex and couldn't help but grin and how small Alex was. "Seems like you shouldn't have ever gotten out of diapers." Peter said as he nodded to Alex's small 1/4th inch pecker. Alex felt his cheeks heat up as Peter then opened Alex's duffel bag and smiled at the adorable diapers that Alex's had packed. He had packed several pink diapers with Unicorns and rainbows on them. "Someone want's be a cutie while running around cleaning huh?" Peter asked as he pulled out the diaper and began unfolding it as he grabbed Alex's legs by the ankles and lifted them up so his ass was in the air as Peter placed the unfolded diaper under it. Grabbing a bottle of powder Peter sprinkled a coat into the diaper, onto Alex's ass and then lowering it into the diaper he covered his pecker. Putting the bottle away Peter then folded the front of the diaper over it and taped it shut. Peter smirked as he bent down and then kissed the front of his diaper. "There. Sealed with a kiss." Peter said. Peter smiled as he looked at Alex. "All right. Arms up." He said as he pulled the French maid outfit over Alex and then pulled it down. Once Alex was in his maid outfit He couldn't help but grin. The black and white classic french maid outfit did look cute on him as Alex blushed trying but failing to use the front of the maid outfit to cover his diaper but there was no way the short skirt would cover his diaper. Peter smiled as Alex tried to cover his front he was sticking his ass out showing off his cute diapered ass. Peter grabbed the knee long white stocking and black mary janes from the bag along with a pink feather duster. Helping Alex into his socks and shoes he held the feather duster in his hand. "Well now don't you look ready to work and show off that padded ass." Peter said with a grin that a hunting tiger would envy. "Yes, Sir." Alex said as he blushed but couldn't hide a small smile that crossed his face. "Now I expect my place to be dust free when you leave. If I find any dust, well....." Peter said as he nodded to a corner of the nursery that had a stool along with a paddle on each wall. On one wall above the stool was a simple wooden paddle with holes. On the other wall hung a black paddle with small metal studs. Alex gasped at the idea of being spanked with the black paddle and nodded his head. "Don't worry Sir. I'll make it so clean you can eat off any surface." Alex said as he took the feather duster from Peter and left the nursery. Peter followed Alex. The blonde was cleaning the living room as Peter sat on the sofa and turned on the TV to watch some sports. Or at least he tried to but a certain pink covered ass kept getting his attention as it wiggled back and fourth along with a out of tune humming. Peter smirked as he got up and went up behind Alex grinning as he pushed his now hard cock into the back of Alex's diaper. "Hey, I can't watch the game with you wagging that tempting ass around." Peter said as he smiled as Alex let out a little yelp of surprise as he turned and blushed. "I...I'm sorry Sir. I'll go clean someplace else." Alex said as he looked away from Peter unable to look him in the face. Feeling like a girl from one of those romance movies his sister was always watching. "Well you can clean the nursery and my shitter." Peter said enjoying Alex squirm as Peter used the vulgar term for his bathroom. "Yes Sir." "The cleaning supplies are in the closet in the hallway." Peter said as he moved to let Alex get by. Unable to resist Peter gave Alex's ass a hard swat. "Don't forget the place is supposed to be dustless before you leave." Peter said as Alex let out yelp looking over his shoulder and nodding as he scurried away as fast as he could. Grinning Peter got back on his sofa. "This is going to be a sweet arrangement." Peter said as he went back to watching TV.
Alex opened the closet and smiled seeing a bucked with all the cleaning supplies that he'd need for cleaning Peter's shitter. Getting the supplies Alex went into Peter's bathroom and sighed as he saw Peter's clothes on the floor and used towels. Setting the bucket down Alex grabbed Peters clothes and towels and went to Peter's laundry room and wondered if he should do laundry too. Opening the washer Alex put Peters clothes into the wash and started it after adding laundry soap. Smiling and going back to the bathroom Alex put on a pair of yellow gloves and grabbed a metal scrubbing brush as he opened the lid to the toilet and began scrubbing the toilet while on his knees. Alex continued to hum to himself as he wiggled his butt. While cleaning Alex blushed as he felt the need to take a piss. But he knew that he was in diapers to use them so that he wouldn't need to take a break from cleaning. He didn't want to disappoint Peter by not doing a good job just because he had to use the bathroom. Blushing but continuing to clean Alex relaxed his bladder and felt the hot flow of piss fill the absorbent padding between his legs as he kept wiggling his ass. Once done cleaning the toilet Alex stood and lifted the hem of his skirt as he then blushed seeing his diaper sag a little from the wetness. Letting the skirt fall, Alex then quickly made work of cleaning the rest of the bathroom.
Satisfied with his work in the bathroom Alex put the bucket and cleaning supplies away. He then went to the nursery and held his nose. He looked at the diaper pail with dread as he wondered if Peter would let him use his powers to take care of it. As if he could read Alex's mind Peter yelled from the living room. "No using your powers to help you be a good little maid." Alex let out a groan as he then stood up and gathered his strength. Grabbing the bag that held the diaper Alex sealed it shut as fast as he could but still ended up gagging from the horrid stench as he lifted it up out of the pail and began to carry it out of the nursery. It was then that Alex realized with horror that he was going to have to carry the bag to the outside trash. And Peter kept his trash bins on the curb in the front yard. Taking the bag through the living room Peter stopped Alex. "Good job so far. I checked the bathroom when I took a piss and was very happy with your work." Peter said as he got off the sofa and walked up to Alex. He grinned as he put his hand under Alex's skirt and groped his sagging diaper. "Hmmm. Doesn't seem like you need a change yet." Peter said as he then put nodded for Alex to continue his work as Peter went back to the sofa to keep watching his TV. Alex nodded as he carried the bag of used diapers to out to the front yard Alex sighed as it was later in the evening and he didn't see anyone around. Quickly taking the bag to the trash Alex lifted the lid and tossed them into the trash bin. Sighing as he looked up and wiped sweat off his forehead his eyes widened in horror as he saw a young man standing on a bike with his cell phone out. Pointed at Alex. Alex blushed in horror as he know that he was going to be posted online. He turned and ran to the house as fast as he could. But slipped on the grass and landed on the ground his face in the ground and ass in the air. Alex went to get up as fast as he could but then to his worst fears he felt his stomach grumble in a way that let you know you only had second to get to the bathroom. Alex tried to fight it off as he got up onto his hands and knees but he knew it was a battle he was going to lose as he felt a hot fart escape his ass as he whimpered looking over his shoulder and seeing that the biker was still there and still recording. Alex let out a groan followed by "Nooo!" as he felt hot mud fill his diaper. Whimpering as he felt hot tears fall down his cheeks and hot mud take up any space in his diaper and coating his ass. Alex was powerless to stop it as groaned again and his body decided to fail him half way through his load. Adding to his humiliation as Alex grunted and forced the rest of his load out into the diaper with loud sputtering farts. Panting as he finished Alex got onto his knees and getting on to his feet unsteadily as he looked back at the biker one last time as got into the house and shut the door behind him. Sniffling as he wiped his tears knowing that this is what he wanted and knowing the risks he went back to finish the nursery but was stopped by Peter as he sniffed the air. "Seems like my maid has maid a mess when he was supposed to be cleaning." Peter said with a smirk as he got up and walked behind Alex lifting his skirt and then dropped it and waved a hand in front of his face wafting the air away from his nose. "Phew! Your almost as bad as hulk." Peter teased as he took Alex by the hand and lead him to the nursery. "You've been doing a great job and I've decided to hire you full time." Peter said as he helped Alex out of he maid outfit and taking off his sock and shoes not wanting to get them soiled during a change. Helping him onto the changing table Peter once again strapped Alex down to it and then opened Alex's destroyed diaper and took a step back and coughed dramatically as Alex covered his face with his hands. "Man what have you been eating?" Peter asked as he used some lavender scented baby wipes to wipe the messy off Alex's front then leaving the soiled wipes in the messy diaper he grabbed Alex's ankles and lifted his lower half into the air once again using more wipes to clean his lower half. Once he was satisfied that Alex was clean he balled up the dirty diaper and threw it into the diaper pail. Grabbing a clean unicorn diaper he placed it under Alex and sprinkled a purple lavender scented baby powder into the diaper then onto Alex's ass and lowered him into the diaper and coated his pecker. Taping the diaper shut, Peter undid the strap from  over Alex's chest and picked the blonde up. But instead of putting him on the floor and getting him back into his maid outfit Peter walked over to the crib and laid Alex down. "But, Sir I still have to clean and dust!" Alex said as he looked worriedly and the naughty corner. Peter put a finger to Alex's lips. "Shhhh. You've done a great job so far but I think you need a little brake. Don't worry about the dust. The dust bunnies will still be there later." Peter said as he pulled the blanket up to cover Alex and pulled the crib railing up. Smiling at Alex, Peter went over to the small fridge in the nursery and pulled out a pink bottle. Giving it to Alex through the crib bars Alex realized it was full of water. "You have a good sleep and I'll check on you later." Peter said as stroked Alex's hair then as he left the nursery he turned off the light looking to make sure the auto night light was on and closed the door. "You've been a good little maid. And you'll be a good little maid for me from now on." Peter said. Alex drank from the bottle as he nodded feeling his eyelids grow heavy as darkness overtook him.

Drabble Challenge Prompt #8: “You’re seriously like a man-child.”
Tumblr media
Stepping into the apartment you shared with Hoseok, your nose wrinkle in disgust. The house smelled like fish, which wasn’t all that surprising since it had been left over from dinner last night. What bothered you the most was that as you walked further into the apartment, you noticed that nothing that you asked your boyfriend to do had been done.
The floor still had lint and crumbs on it, meaning that it hadn’t been vacuumed, the furniture was dusty, and from the loud gunshots coming from the living room, you were willing to bet that the dishes hadn’t been washed and the trash hadn’t been taken out either.
You frowned as laughter suddenly erupted and you were able to make out a second voice. Knowing him, and the sound of the video game, it was most likely the youngest member who was with him. As much as you loved Hoseok and his band members, you really wished for some alone time to sit down and relax when you came home.
“Hoseok!” You shouted, competing with the sound of their laughter and the game as you entered the living room, your gaze landing on the young men who were sitting on the couch. They were dressed in similar outfits, sweatpants and a basic shirt, that was probably anything but basic and was some expensive brand name shirt that cost more than you made in a month. But they appeared laidback and relaxed, something that you knew they hadn’t felt since before they went on tour.
His eyes flicked over to where you stood, a smile breaking out onto his face when he saw you. He had been dead asleep when you left for work. “Baby, your home.” The game went silent as he paused it, Jungkook smiling and waving in greeting.
You forced a smile at the youngest, ignoring the way his face contorted in concern when you did that. “Did you do the things I asked?” You questioned Hoseok, already knowing the answer but wanting to see if he had a reason.
Hoseok’s smile fell a little and he glanced around, starting to notice the things that he had in fact, not done for you. “I did the laundry earlier today, and cleaned the bathroom.”
Well that was a pleasant surprise, but it still didn’t include everything else. The very things that you had specifically wanted done before you came home from work. “But what about the other things?”
He sighed, running a hand through his hair as his shoulders slumped. After spending the day playing video games, he had the audacity to look tired while you had been working all day. “Baby, I can do them tomorrow.”
“But I asked you to do them today.”
Jungkook shuffled in his seat, feeling uncomfortable as the tension grew between the two of you. Usually, there weren’t any fights between you and Hoseok. Sure, there were little arguments here and there, but nothing too serious.
“Today’s my first day off in months,” Hoseok explained. “I can do everything tomorrow.”
You knew that, and he knew that you knew that. After being on a world tour, he had just wanted one day to lay around the apartment and relax. But you didn’t have time for that. Usually you were more understanding about his job and what it took from him, this time…you just didn’t have the patience. For the last few months at work you’ve been dealing with people who couldn’t even do the simplest things, you didn’t want to come home to someone who did that too.
Rolling your eyes, you walked to your bedroom, slamming the door behind you with more force then you intended, but it reflected the way you felt. When you saw the bedroom, you wanted to scream. The blankets were messily pulled together and his suitcase was sitting on the floor, open with a few miscellaneous things left in it.
“It’s like living with a child,” you muttered, going straight to the shared closet to grab your duffle bag. “A fucking, man-child.”
Deep down, you knew it was ridiculous to get so upset over a few chores not getting done, and you knew that Hoseok never asked for much, but you were seeing red. After doing everything by yourself while he got to tour the world, you just wanted one day where you didn’t have to worry about the house, and you couldn’t even get that.
“What are you doing?”
Glancing at the door way, you ignored Hoseok as you continued to pack your bag, already deciding on where you were going to stay, and the bottle of your favorite liquor you were planning on picking up on the way. “Going away.” You simply answered. As you started to zip up the bag, a hand captured your wrist to keep you from doing so.
He spun you around to look at you, his brown eyes filling with worry and confusion as he tried to understand what was going on. “Why? You just got home.”
“And nothing’s done!” You snapped.
You watched his eyes widen in shock and took that chance to rip your hand out of his. “I’ve been doing everything, every damn thin while you’ve been gone Hoseok. The cooking, cleaning, the grocery shopping, taking care of Micky, all on my own, and the first time I ask you to do a few things you can’t even bother yourself to do them!”
There was a soft click as the front door was shut, which you ignored. It was most likely Jungkook leaving, he wasn’t one for being around people when they fought anyways.
“I know, but I’ve been home for one day. Not even that,” Hoseok argued, stepping backwards so there was some space between the two of you. “I got in at five in the morning after spending the last day on a plane, and then slept for only five hours. I’m sorry that I didn’t get to everything on your list, but I was exhausted.”
“Exhausted enough to play fucking, video games with Jungkook? Who you’ve spent every day with for the entire tour!”
Hoseok narrowed his eyes at you, feeling his own anger build up at the mention of his younger brother. He truly didn’t understand where this was all coming from, but he didn’t like that you directing it to Jungkook. “It was just one game. He hasn’t even been here an hour besides, I thought you’d like to see him since the two of you got along.”
You chewed on the inside of your cheek and finished zipping up the bag. “You could have asked if I wanted company,” you bit out, pushing your way past Hoseok.
He followed behind you, not believing this was how the night was going. “Are you serious? You were the one to tell me that you’d love to get together with the rest of the guys when we got back from tour a couple days ago.”
“Yeah well, apparently saying something and actually doing it are two very different things.”
The room fell silent after you comment, and out of habit, you turned to look at Hoseok despite your stony appearance. The shock and anger were evident, but beneath it, you saw the hurt lingering in his eyes. He never liked to fight with you, he loved you too much for arguments that weren’t worth getting mad over, but he hadn’t realized how much this would upset you.
“Baby,” he softly spoke.
But you didn’t let him get far. “No. I’m going away Hoseok. I’m taking a vacation for myself, and you can see how much fun it is to do everything on your own.” Still running on the adrenaline, you hurried out the front door without so much as a goodbye, missing how Hoseok had reached out to stop you from leaving. But you had been too quick, to eager to leave him.
You didn’t stop to think while in the car, nor when you picked up the bottle from the store, or as you checked in.
It wasn’t until you were lying across the king size bed in the hotel room, not even in the same city as Seoul anymore, that you replayed the fight over in your mind. Leaving like that brought to mind the countless dramas that you watched on TV. It wasn’t just you going on a trip, no. It felt like you had said goodbye to Hoseok for the last time, and that you weren’t coming back.
Sitting up on the bed, you touched your cheeks, not finding them wet with tears like you thought they would be after fighting with him. You weren’t crying, or missing Hoseok like you would have done before. If you were being honest, you felt…fine. Like you have been six months after he left for tour.
Maybe that argument, was more than just arguing over chores.
