Wait so does each colour change the colour of an item they own just by coming into contact with it?? It's been mentioned a few times I'm just confused lol

essentially, yeah!

i haven't figured out what causes it because that type of worldbuilding makes my head ache but yep! there's something weird with the colours with anything that they wear or touch (within reason) will change their assigned colour!

that's why if you look at any of the art i have for them, their outfits are in the same colour family. of course i have some leniency for rules of what colours they can wear or have. for example Red's colours can bleed into oranges and pinks, but can't get too near purple. the twins can kinda mix each other's colours as long as it's mostly their own colour.

most plates and dishes and things are exempt for the most part, so is paper, but items they come into contact with a lot (blankets, pillows, Red's capybara plush, etc) will end up getting changed.

clothes just happen on contact (i do have a comic kinda explaining this but haven't released it yet as it has been sacrificed to the draft monster) while they are wearing them usually. the colours end up buying their clothes already in their "assigned" colour to avoid difficulty.

as for furniture, there's a reason it's gray.

that show had so much potential- but anyway, here's some more under-the-cut headcanons about our title lead Randy Cunningham!

Randy Cunningham Headcanons

Like mentioned before, this kid has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder- specifically ADHD-C (which just means he has combined inattentiveness and hyperactivity)

Thanks to @mrfartpowered, Randy comes from a rich family! Though both his parents are workaholics and hardly come home which means Randy's left to his own devices

He doesn't fully know how to cook, but he knows enough basics to not completely starve when he's alone at the house- also because he and Howard eat out a lot at like, Charlie Cluckers and PJ McFlubbusters (?)

Randy literally doesn't mind paying for things because his family's kind of fucking loaded!

He has Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (RSD) and struggles with not completely giving up in one-go when he fears he's about to be rejected, when he's about to do something wrong- it comes and goes, but there's no way he isn't a little insecure

He's developed a curiosity for law ever since becoming the Ninja. His parents are in awe about it because they think he's wanting to become a lawyer (he doesn't-)

Randy has always been an intense fan of the Ninja as we know from canon. He kept a lot of memorabilia over the years and never parted with it- he wanted to help people, deciding if it wouldn't be the Ninja, he would do other forms of service. Imagine his surprise when he's actually chosen to be the Ninja

He looks up to the First Ninja. Like, a lot

I'm trying to not accidentally spoil anything in the headcanons, but okay this has to be one of my favorites: you can't convince me that Randy wouldn't use more powers he found in the Shadow Warrior's part of the Nomicon

The Ninja Suit can only protect Randy from only some injuries- if anyone read my tengu! Howard fic, the suit will automatically have a defense/safety mechanism built in to heal any severe injuries/wounds- it sort of overrides the user and knocks them out (especially when it comes to near-death experiences)

If there ever was a time when a Ninja had to decommission early (coughs Mac Antfee coughs), someone else would have to be chosen- it's sometimes a hastily chosen decision but this rarely- if ever- happens. Somehow not many notices

Angst Headcanons

There have been times when Howard has needed to patch Randy up after some nasty fights- this one time Randy didn't make it back after a battle and he was found with a nasty gash, barely managing to stay awake and it freaked out Howard a lot

Randy sometimes uses the Nomicon to avoid his problems- it's become an unhealthy habit but he can't quite bring himself to stop

You can't tell me he doesn't dissociate. When Randy isn't actively doing his part in being the Ninja, he tends to space out a lot and he isn't all too present to say the least

This boy does have some scars. You can't convince me otherwise

He doesn't really question his self worth as the Ninja, but the thoughts still come sometimes- wondering if he's doing a good enough job, if the Nomicon hadn't made a mistake choosing him. It eats him up more when his RSD acts up

Randy does his best to impress Finja and feels horrible everytime he feels he's messed up. He doesn't like seeing others' disappointed (gee, I wonder why /lhs)

He feels responsible for others getting hurt-

first of all please don't look at me weird just because the trailer showed suzume kissing a chair lmao i promise it's actually cute trust me

secomd of all i wasn't lying about the graphics and cinematography. that part where suzume and souta closes the first door? then it cuts to the title screen with the main theme echoing? goosebumps. i regretted talking during that part.

and that last part in the ever-after? yk this is good when it reminds you to howl and sophie under the stars. and souta hugging suzume saying, "i'll meet you again"? then suzume and souta meets again in the exact manner they first met? i see the makoto shinkai has a style and im loving it lmao.

another personal favorite, suzume saying, "i want to try too!" and souta going, "suzume wa dame da!" man's nervous getting sat on by a girl, i mean valid man💀 but you're a chair so that's that /lh

also i love how theres a lot of theme going on: found family, lost family, grievance, acceptance, serendipity, sacrifice, love, compassion, the cycle of life. i didn't exactly cry but i have a feeling i will if i try hard enough lmaoo suzume and souta are so dear to me, and serizawa and tamaki and everyone, they're good ppl :')

some things i'm still mulling about though,

didn't suzume said, "mr. good-looking man, i feel like we've before?" then went, "oh shoot, i sound like i'm shooting my shot." this makes me wonder if suzume is really having that sense of deja-vu bevause otherwise, why would she ditch school and go look for some handsome man who asked her for directions? what i'm curious about is what suzume is actually feeling that time. deja-vu? deja-vu from where? either i'm trippin here or i was just not paying attention loll

mortals won't be able to cross the door to the ever-after. but smol-suzume can do that, and the big-suzume can do that via the same door. is it because her desire to find the person on the other side of the door so strong?

all in all it was a good movie. if someone makes an AU out of this i'm gonna eat that up 😩 lol imagine chuuya or kunikida being cursed to a chair by an ability or the like, and they're just frantically pattering around as we (or dazai, obvsly) get ourselves in danger 24/7 in trying to lift the curse.

hello!!! sorry this took me a while to get around to, i got SO nervous that i'd get smthn wrong n an army of comic book dudebros would emerge from hell to smite me down - but then i remembered that i don't care and hobie is fun to talk about, so hello!!!

[quick note before we start: hobie will be referred to as either "hobie" or "spiderpunk", for the sake of not being confusing, since there are 47385783643 spidermen in existence. yes, he prefers "spiderman" and initially took spiderpunk as an insult, but as of his latest solo run, the battle of the banned, he really could not care less n actively refers to himself as spiderpunk. i'm noting this now so i don't get 50 people correcting me in the replies lmao. i also don't hyphenate spiderman because i'm lazy]

you didn't ask for anything in specific so i'm gonna just Keep Going until i lose steam, hope that's alright!

first things first: hobie isn't an original character created to be spiderpunk! he's actually a variant of hobart "hobie" brown, earth 616's prowler, which i think has a LOT of interesting potential for btsv, if you catch my drift:

why did they choose to make him a hobie variant rather than make up a new spiderperson? who knows! could be that they saw how painfully fucking close hobie was to his "capitalism is the real enemy actually" breakthrough before deciding to become a supervillain about it; maybe it's easier to get comic book nerds into new stories if they're vaguely familiar with one of the characters involved. who knows. i can't actually find any source on this one.

(interesting sidebar: in the spiderverse movies, peter b parker is from earth 616, and intended to be a direct page-to-screen adaptation of classic comic book peter parker - which makes me wonder how he reacted to meeting hobie for the first time. i doubt we'll ever see that first interaction, but it's cool to think about!)

spiderpunk's design actually originated as concept art for spider-UK, as drawn by olivier coipel (the punk movement is often credited as having started in the UK - more accurately, by black british punks, using elements of jamaican reggae - so it makes sense that they explored a punk angle for spider-UK at some point). they felt it didn't fit the character, but still loved the design, and so they wrote an entire character to fit around it! (that's also why hobie is often portrayed as british despite being written as american in the comics - his whole concept is essentially a love letter to black british punks, and tbh even when i'm reading the comics i pretend he just ended up moving to new york from london bc i cannot imagine him as an american lmao sorry)

a lot of people who learnt of hobie from atsv seemed surprised that he's genuinely punk and not just using the aesthetics - but, like, he's genuinely punk, guys. he lives in a fascist dystopia (the spider that bit him was irradiated from all the toxic waste the government illegally dumps) where norman osborn is president of the united states (and referred to as "ozzy osborn" lmao) and also a massive fascist dickbag (and venom's current host!). he then proceeds to beat said fascist dictator asshole to death with his guitar! by which i mean quite literally hit him so hard his organs come out ✨

(like - i saw someone theorising that hobie would be the twist villain of btsv and actually just using miles for his own benefit, and i had my own little "he would never fucking do that what the fuck 😡" moment before realising that they were probably just some 14 yr old kid who's never seen hobie before and is trying to come up with a dramatic twist. so i'm not taking it to heart! but please know that it was very bad and incorrect, hobie is a real one and would never 🫶 /lh)

if you get a chance to pick up any of his comics (or, uh, discover them in alternative ways, wink wink nudge nudge capitalism is a prison but seriously please consider buying them from small local comic book stores if you do - that way your money goes to an actual local business & the writers rather than a massive chain store corporation) then i highly recommend - not only are they super fun, but they're gorgeous,

(i know that the covers are always rendered differently to the actual comic pages but i just needed you to all look at these images, please, especially all the intricate details on the second one. i literally paused midway through reading my comic to stare at that cover with hearts in my eyes. he's so cool i adore him)

and they're also full of lyrical references to punk music, such as these (the first two off the top of my head - there are TONS more):

and they're pretty dang diverse, too! including, like, explicitly and undeniably queer characters (note: there's been a lot of misinformation spread around - hobie and karl (captain anarchy) aren't explicitly confirmed to be anything but platonic friends. karl DOES have a boyfriend whom he is explicitly romantic with, but it's not hobie! he's still totally queer though and nobody can convince me otherwise), which is pretty neat.

this isn't really relevant to hobie in specific, but it's part of his universe and i'm a massive daredevil fanboy, so i NEED you to witness his daredevil variant, mattea murdock:

hobie's homeless and lives in a community centre with the rest of his band

iirc "spiderpunk" was essentially his equivalent of "spidermenace", which he eventually adopted for himself because, well. they aren't wrong. (he got the name for the obvious reasons of his style and politics etc, but also because he can be quite brutal when he needs to be - see norman's very bad no good day above.)

his band is referred to as both "the spider-band" and "the daredevils" (after meeting mattea), which made my little daredevil fanboy heart soar a little ngl

in spiderverse specifically, hobie took 3 years to animate due to all the specific ways they stylised him and his movement! i am not an animator and cannot put it into actual technical terms so here's a tweet of one of the animators discussing it for anyone who's curious :]

he has a van called the spider-van, and sings the spiderman theme song at it sometimes ("🎶spider-van, spider-van, driving cross-country as fast as we can!🎶") which is ADORABLE. i love how cool he is in atsv but i need you to understand he's a DORK he's a NERD

another one for the dork point: he doesn't swear unless he's yelling at fascists (he's instead prone to a good "frick" "heckin" "motherlovin" etc). which i realise is probably just comic book censorship and them only being able to get away with a certain amount of tastefully censored swears and gore before someone gets in trouble and/or has to bump up the age rating, but also it drives his bandmates INSANE so i like to think he just does it for a giggle tbh. again, massive dork

and finally, to end things on a fun note: his current solo comic writer, cody ziglar, made him an official spiderpunk playlist so maybe we can stop having pointless playlist discourse and let people have fun!

Short summary is i made a whole spooky month au as a devotional act to my deities!! And this is part 1 since I'll be doing Athena, Hera, (possibly) Medusa or Hades, and Persephone tomorrow!

So basically this is just Spooky Month, except the Greek God's exist, and are a bit of the main focus?? No character in the town is actually aware of them except for a few (possibly Streber??). But they're kind of like a powerful force in this AU who can kick Eyes's ass probably, are strictly against Eyes (specifically Hades since hes in charge of souls and doesnt like the idea of someone else trying to do his job for him), and also very much against the Cult.

Aphrodite is very sweet, soft spoken, gentle and motherly—but she can also be very protective and has a temper (usually for justified reasons). She is incredibly reassuring. And after Roy's whole incident with his uncle, Aphrodite reached out to help him since she's aware something like what he went through can be very damaging, and he isn't aware that she's an actual goddess at first and just thinks she's some 'random pretty ghost lady who showed up one day'. He even thought he might have been going crazy at first, but it was made clear by her obvious signs that he wasn't losing his sanity and that she was actually present. I'm unsure if Roy would do any worshipping type acts toward her since he seems like he'd be unaware of the Hellenism religion itself—but I can see him doing it later on once he's done more research and is more comfy with Aphrodite. She also reached out to help Lila in her dreams after the loss of her husband (and also because her husband was a monster anyway)—and helped Lila to move on from him. She also sometimes helps out Mr Wonder since he lost his spouse and probably misses her. Though it's mainly Haades who I could see giving him some sort of message that she's fine since Hades is the god of the underworld and death anyway. Carmen and Lila are also canonically blessed by her (along with Ethan and possibly Radford??)/pos. I can also see Aphrodite angrily confronting Skiddad when he eventually returns, or her always helping out Lila anytime her sons in danger (since Aphrodite is for familial love too).

Apollo, on the other hand, is very easily excited and friendly and just generally supportive about things. But he can also be very sassy and is funny. He's also carefree and is really loving and nice. Because of Susie's love for art, he's always kind of been around her and taking care of her without her knowledge. Sort of like a god for a brother figure lmao. He sometimes messes with her like a brother would too by taking her stuff. Or he comforts her when she's feeling upset by visiting her through dreams or giving her signs. Susie used to think he was an imaginary friend when she was little, and even now she isn't even sure of what he is, but she trusts him and hasn't really ever told anyone about him. He also helps out Patty, John during Deadly Smiles cuz he's sick, Aaron, and also Streber and Skid. I'd say Susie and Patty are probably blessed by him the most, along with Skid./lh

Zeus doesnt seem like he'd appear that much, but he'd definitely there and would be a badass respected presence jdbdnd. He's usually there to teach a lesson though, and always gets involved if some sort of law or order is broken. He's probably the reason the thieves get caught so much since he sends a gut feeling to Lila to get the fuck up because there's people in her house—Skid also canonically just asked no one if they could make it rain or storm because he didn't wanna go to school, and Zeus for some reason decided he'd actually listen and made it storm, but decided to teach Skid a lesson in the process by giving him consequences and ripping what he wanted to do out of his reach (while also possibly testing what Skid will do about it or even talking to him in the process to see if he's learnt his lesson). And since he's the literal king of the gods, I can see him fighting the Cult or bringing karma to them, and also fighting Eyes at some point (struggling since Eyes is an eldritch entity but winning because.. well.. he's a god—). He'd also probably teach Roy a lesson if he ever saw him bullying the kids, or if he saw Susie being too harsh on them or Ignacio threatening them or Gregor being a hypocrite, etc etc. He and Hera are a power couple hrhdhd.

Ares is incredibly aggressive on the other hand and comes off as a brute, but he's very sweet deep down and just doesn't know how to express himself. He's very serious and almost fatherly, and also hates it when women are disrespected. He can also be very bloodthirsty, and likes dying for honor rather than strategizing and is more focused on violence than the tragedy of the fight itself. He's Aphrodites lover btw and has a very sweet relationship with her/pos. He's actually been around since Lila was a child, and has blessed her in his own way or just 'chosen' her if that's the right word. Which is why she's so angry when it comes to protecting Skid and fights for what's right. If anything, I can see him interfering during TT just so Lila can kick Bob ass and succeed in doing so. He also dislikes when people are cowards about things—since.. hes.. well the god of courage. And typically assists the cops because they're brave enough to go against things. He probably blessed John or Jack, or both. And I can see him having blessed Ignacio in the past, but being very dissapointed since he doesn't fight for what's right and is just an asshole. Can also see Aphrodite sending him to fucking kill Roy's uncle and him proudly doing so by influencing him to be exactly where Eyes is running in and have Eyes crush him. Or just straight up killing Roy's uncle himself.

Poseidon would probably rarely be here since there isn't much water shown in the series. But he's present in all water I'm pretty sure, so he probably literally is the Holy Water Gregor gives Kevin & Radford. Unsure if he'd blessed anyone. I get the strange vibe he'd bless Jaune though cuz of her cowgirl costume/lh. He'd probably drown Roy's uncle somewhere if he ever came across him and knew what Roy's uncle actually did. Can see him informing Zeus and Ares of the kids whereabouts sometimes through the sewer water and seeing where they pass by. Skid also probably went to the beach one time and yelled at the waves to get bigger, so Poseidon listened and hit Skid with a massive ass wave. He'd also probably try to fight the cult in his own way by either causing an earthquake, a storm or a full on flood toward their house on the hill. Or flooding the town so that they can't escape the house on the hill and are forced to confront him (literally the water). Jaune seems like she'd be unaware of him, or she would be aware and would be canonically hellenist jdnsnsn.

Let's start with Levi.

His reputation definitely preceded him for me, even before I first got into SNK. I saw his name plastered everywhere, in every anime popularity list or the seasonal 'best boys' results- which totally spoiled the Ackerman reveal for me lol. So much that I thought he was the lead of the series for a long time😂 The first time I watched episode 9 of season 1, I thought he was going to be like your typical bad-boy archetype- sort of like those shoujo anime brooding guys. I assumed he would be the unreachable, pessimistic-but-hot-playboy-side-character considering his hype.

Boy, I was so wrong.

I actually started to like Levi the moment he sat next to Eren after the courtroom scene and inquired whether Eren hates him for what he had done. After what looked like a brutal display of power in the courtroom, the aftermath scene showed that he genuinely did not want to hurt Eren and cared about him enough to know if the two of them were still cool- even if Eren did come to know that the entire thing was staged to prevent him from falling into the MP's hands. From then onwards, he just kept on going up, up and up for me. Now, I truly believe that Levi is a character who deserves all the hype he gets. He's a well-crafted, unproblematic, and a kind-hearted fave who is as genuine as a character can be in a series full of betrayals and strife.

As for Hange, I'll be honest, she kind of did annoy me at first🙈

Looking back at it, Season 1 Hange is so different from Hange in the rest of the seasons. Season 1 Hange was the over-excited mad-scientist archetype who ran sort-of ethically questionable experiments and seemed completely unhinged. Personally, I'm not a fan of characters who yell a lot and since I watched the anime first, I had no idea that manga Hange was a lot more subdued. Season 1 Hange reminded me of this character called Kaji from Bungou Stray Dogs (another one of my favourite animes) and I wasn't really into it.

But the moment Season 2 Hange grabbed Pastor Nick by his collar and threatened to throw him off the wall if he did not cough up the answers she needed-

My third eye was opened. I tasted the nectar of immortality. Angels sang from the sky. The world turned brighter and I could see everything in full clarity. Aka, that was the moment I first fell irrecoverably in love with her.

And now, to Levihan. The drug that has ruined my life.

I liked Levi and Hange as separate characters at first, but I never really thought about shipping them for two seasons (lmao that was a time when I was more invested in the 104th cadets). Main reason being- they just did not have a lot of time together in the first two seasons, and whatever interactions they had were overshadowed by reveals after shocking reveals.

But when I watched this scene for the first time:

Yeah. That soft look by the glow of the campfire that can melt hearts. That's when I thought 'Hey wait- these two actually go well together...'

But it wasn't until when I re-watched the whole show a year later that I noticed all the subtle hints and started hardcore shipping them. I saw season 4 as it aired as an anime-only and screamed at the telepathy scene. And then I read the manga and SCREAMED at the sheer amount of fanfic-like LH content yet to be adapted. And a few chapters later, I cried buckets of tears.

Levihan is extremely precious to me and I'm so thankful for these amazingly selfless, mature, and wonderful duo. The fact that the love I have for this ship has brought me into this wholesome community has just reinforced it even more. Once I started shipping them, I never looked back.

No regrets.

speaking of powerpoint presentations, a thing we do with the whole family is hold a mini pp contest! we choose whatever topic we like and our main goal is to gush as much as we can! eventually soos and wendy joined in, then candy and grenda came along, eventually it turned into a mini town event

sometimes we just sit and talk! whatever comes to mind. sometimes dipper needs someone to lend an ear, sometimes i retell stories about ford, stan and my younger years. it always ends up in a big discussion about true crime cases and the theories behind them lmao. no matter what, we can always have a conversation.

being the romance nut that she is, mabel loves to hear how her grunkles “woo’d” me in our younger years. i end up telling embarrassing stories about them, to which they get flustered from (sorry, you two are just so easily teasable <3333 /lh)

sometimes it leads to The Talk, in which we discuss romance in general, and how it’s not super necessary in life. we talk about love of all kinds, and love for oneself. “mabel i have seen and done a whole bunch of things and let me tell you, romance is OVERRATED. never think that you’re failing if you haven’t achieved it yet. and if you do, im sure whoever they are will be very lucky to have you.” “thanks grauntie tiff, but arent you literally dating my grunkles?” “my point still stands.”

i teach mabel singing and dancing: broadway style!!!! 

i take her to see plenty musicals as well. best seats in the house too. and if i’ve ever worked on one, i help sneak her backstage and give her a bts tour. “mabel sweetie you dont have to sneak through the vents of the theatre, i can just take you with me.” “wait how did you know i was sneaking in???” “you tend to leave glitter wherever you go. also i found this broken lock outside.”

Gay Oar!!! ✨💖 - second post

After I wrote my nerdy little text about the appearance of Oar Oar in the Mansa Musa PH ep (you can find that post here), I naturally also had to write one about Sword Oar appearing in the Smallpox ep.

I honestly should have expected him to show up sooner or later after his boyfriend already did but it still caught me off guard. ✨

I’ll use my beautiful “autisticwatcher” tag for this (and if you also have to say things about Watcher-related autism stuff or autism-related Watcher stuff, feel free to use it too). Here is an attempt to justify it even though this topic probably is not inherently autistic: a) I experience every part of life through an autistic lense and b) the ways I express joy are... let’s say, atypical.

Here’s what I mean by that (and don’t worry, this is going somewhere): I am not a very outwardly expressive person. My face is kind of neutral most of the time (you could call it resting bitch bastard face), I have a voice that is often monotonous, and I don’t like showing strong emotions.

And this is what I did when Sword Oar showed up: I sort of jerked back in my chair and clapped my hands once. Then continued watching the episode with the biggest autistic grin (i.e. with what probably looked like a mild smile from the outside). ✨

Let’s get into it! Once again, it brought me great happiness to write this, and - be warned - some of this stuff is pretty specific. And once again, I did not expect that I would spend my time writing about a sponsorship part. ^-^

“Okay, moving along! Oh-” - “Oar are we!” Never stop with the oar puns, please. I live for the oar puns.

I think I already talked about Oar Oar’s voice and how much I like it but Sowrd Oar’s voice is equally amazing (sometimes a bit hard to understand but I can live with that - I love that voice). I also enjoyed his soft little laugh in the beginning. It was sweet.

We get a little more info on the Professor who apparently smells like “rotten cotton candy mixed with expired vinegar” (also, the sound effect after that killed me lol). Oof. Didn’t have to expose him like that lmao. I like that Sword Oar says to the Professor “I like you but you are a smelly guy” - confirming that he indeed likes him (I have one or two headcanons about this but I am... not going to mention them here, for reasons I will write about below).

The sponsor for this episode is Scentbird, and Sword Oar starts talking about “smelling seasonally appropriate” which I like - we are transitioning into autumn, the leaves will change soon, it is almost Over the Garden Wall rewatch time (I usually start my annual rewatch in October), and I just like the autumn vibes, the thoughts of pumpkins and colorful leaves and little ghosts. It’s my favorite time of the year. 🍂

Here’s a quote from the episode: “put that light sexy summer fragrances on the shelf in exchange for a thick seductive scent for the colder months”.

Okay okay OKAY you... you can’t do this to me!! >:( I have Thoughts about this, okay? Again, I am not giving you any details here (see below) but I have one or two new ideas about Sword Oar’s and Oar Oar’s relationship, and all this talk about “sexy” and “seductive” is not helping.

Like... not to get too depressed in a post about anthropomorphic oars and a sponsorship but there was a time when it was not even legal to be gay (and that time was not that long ago) and there was a time when I did not see any happy queer representation in any media. (I had Brokeback Mountain and that movie is sad as all hell; it breaks my heart every time I watch it, it is incredibly tragic, and that was pretty much the only thing I saw happening to queer people in fiction when I was growing up - struggle, suffering and death. It does something to a queer teenager, is what I am saying. And you carry that pain into adulthood, even if things do get better.)

And then look at these oars - openly gay, openly in love and openly sexual with each other. Yes I am getting emotional about a goofy little quote in a friggin’ sponsorship part, goddamnit!! Even considering all the things that are better now, queer people still get hurt and harassed and harmed and sometimes killed for being queer, and queer sexuality is still stigmatized, and it means a lot to me to have these puppets who are just so unapologetically gay and talk openly about it.

Maybe all of this is an overreaction to a tiny little quote. But it makes me happy (and sad), and I want to talk about it. ❤️

Moving on! To more queer stuff (it is more lighthearted this time, don’t worry)! :D

He mentions not having arms or legs, and that’s the bane of my existence tbh. You probably know by now that I draw a lot of gay oars art, and I have complained before about the fact that these guys don’t have hands. Do you know how many gentle things I could draw if they had hands? You can’t lovingly hold someone’s face without hands, you can’t intertwine your fingers with them, you can’t hug them without arms. So. Yeah. The audacity! /lh

(Come to think of it, Maizey and Gebra don’t have hands either. Shane Madej, sir, I am begging you, please give your LGBTQ+ characters hands!)

And again, I won’t go into all the new headcanons and ideas and thoughts I have about these oars and here is the reason - I don’t know how many minors are following me. Like, I don’t want to make this stuff sound too lewd or crass because I think that queer sexuality is already too often seen as something “dirty” instead of something perfectly okay and natural. Still, I will keep some of my thoughts to myself. Let’s just say, I am very fond of... all of this. 😊

Annnnyyyyways, Sword Oar lists a whole lot of other stuff, and I know that he has to talk about the sponsor, but what I am getting from this is, the guy really likes his scents.

He mentions amber+leather, he mentions lavender, and he mentions Gendarme - Sky which is a “complex and sultry blend of bergamot, cardamom and aged leather”, and I now have a few more ideas about what Oar Oar smells like. (Personally, I like “masculine” scents. Wood, leather and the like.)

VOD: TommyInnit Speaks To Dream’s Sister AGAIN

(rp): Drista!! I love this chaotic child and am looking forward to seeing the children bully each other lmao. I especially love the mythos around Creative mode, and that the most benevolent god on the Dream SMP is just as likely to ban you as hand you a shulker box lol.

I do wonder how in character cc!Tommy is going to be able to stay during this stream: on one hand he’s a master at staying in character even during lh moments, and on the other Exile arc is some Dark Shit and Dristas like what, 14?? Overall I expect this to be one of the lighter streams, with a smattering of moments where we remember that, oh right, Tommy’s pretty actively suicidal at this point and he sees this as one of his last hurrahs.

Speaking of our boy Tommy: it's very clear we are getting closer and closer to the infamous pillar. He switches rapidly between Fight and Fawn reflexes and has mostly internalized Dream’s treatment and conditions at this point. The one stand out moment being him calling out Dream killing Mexican Dream last stream, and pointing out he was changing his story even when Dream tried to lie and say he died of “a drug overdose [...] or natural causes”. I’m curious if Tommy is going to bring it up again, and even more curious if he eventually believes Dream about it; something to watch out for, for sure. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that this moment of rebellion happened right after he had someone both stand up for him and spend time with him that wasn’t actively hostile or going to end (supposedly, at least by intention)

ITS HERE I GOT IT. i thought i lost the ask for a hot min but i got it back finally asfkjnf. last one before i go and work on actual fic obligations lmao, thanks to everyone who requested something! this was super fun and got my gears turning, big help considering the list of stories i gotta work on haha :,D /lh

8 years.

It felt like forever while up in the endless void of space, something that Jeff could only pray to get away from. However, now that he was back on the sweet sweet soil of the Earth, it didn't feel like long enough, almost selfishly speaking.

How do you reconnect with children that aren’t even children anymore?

It was the dark of night, the stars illuminating the world outside as Jeff stood in the kitchen listening to the mechanical whirring of their brewer making some Earl Grey when a sudden shout reverberated through the house. Though it was muffled, considering the distance between the bedrooms and the rest of the house.

And Jeff, not really used to human noises, could only turn around to stare in the direction of them with a raised eyebrow before remembering that people screaming was usually a bad thing. He was careful to stay calm, harkening back to John and Kayo’s explanations of the security systems that were now in place. There was a solid 99% chance that an intruder being the cause was not it, besides, none of the alarms were sounding anyway.

So someone already in the house had to have been the cause of it. Kayo and his mother were instantly out of the equation with the voice most definitely being male, and not to shame his youngest sons by any means, but since he’s been back on Earth, he’s had plenty of time to learn that Alan and Gordon’s screaming was of the high-pitched variety.

John had went back up on 5 for a little bit to make sure things were running smoothly, and Brains recently took MAX to the mainland for a showcase of sorts, so that left little old Scott and Virgil to be the source of the noise. It was a fifty-fifty shot no matter what, Jeff at least could count on that, but something from before his ejection into space gave him the impression that Virgil was not the kind to wake up loudly.

Scott always seemed to struggle with the metaphorical demons in his mind. It was weird, especially in his earlier years when there wasn’t anything that could be linked to as the ‘cause’. No medications, no weird foods, and not even he was considered stressed enough by doctors to say that it was a factor. All the things you would think about when wondering what would cause night terrors weren’t there, yet despite it, he still got them.

Nothing else to do except regularly update the professionals about it and decide which tea brands were the best to help one become drowsy. Scott never lost any sleep over it when the bad dreams first started, and he only got better as he and his family worked out more methods to get them to stop.

Jeff elected to ignore the thought about how Scott might have gotten after his ‘death’ and subsequent involuntary vacation to another galaxy.

With a beep, the tea was done, and Jeff had two choices to make. He hadn’t heard anyone make their way to check up on the sibling that screamed- which, considering the rescue they came back from, them being out like lights was perfectly understandable- so either Jeff could step up to the plate or respectfully stand back and give his kids the space they might potentially want for a situation such as this.

Five minutes later, Jeff was knocking on his eldest son’s door gently before pushing it open and leaning inside to see Scott sitting up, the covers around his legs and waist ruffled. He was rubbing the back of his neck, a thin sheen of sweet covering his skin. So it was Scotty, seems like I still have the magic intuition after all.

Jeff walked in a little more, the squeaking of the door catching Scott’s attention and making him look up at his father. The man grinned with a tone that was both fond and sad, “I heard you shout. Nightmares again?”

Scott sighed, letting the hand from his neck flop down onto his lap, “Yeah, thought I would be able to clonk out for the entire night, but alas.”

Jeff nodded, not needing to say anything else to that. He made his way over to the bed with the cup of tea, holding it out for Scott to take, “Here, I was making some tea when I heard you. Sorry if it’s not your favorite.”

Scott took it with a grateful smile, shaky hands with such minute trembling literally anyone else would have missed it, “Thanks.”

With the noises of Scott sipping his drink in the background, Jeff walked over to the desk in the room to examine it as a mindless time-killer. It had the same layout Jeff’s desk had when he first came back to the island, Scott’s influence filling every corner of the furniture through and through. Reaching forward, Jeff grabbed a picture frame from the top left of the desk that was holding a pic of all his kids at a theme park somewhere. Gordon was obviously the one taking the selfie if his blurry face in the corner was any indication.

Jeff rhythmically rolled his fingers against the edge of the wood, his smile turning more happy at the thought that his children were still having fun despite his disappearance, “Hey, Scott?”

The brunet had finished his tea a little bit ago, now he was leaning against his headboard and scrolling through his phone. He raised an eyebrow at his name being spoken, looking up from what he was reading to make sure his dad knew he was listening, “Yeah?”

Softly setting the frame back down, Jeff turned around, crossed his arms and stared at Scott with prideful intensity, “I know I’ve said it just about a hundred times, but still, thank you for taking care of everything while I... wasn’t here.”

Scott clicked his phone asleep while registering his dad’s words. He set the device down on his bedside table next to the now empty cup he just drank from, snorting lightheartedly, “Yep, you really have said it just about a hundred times.”

Jeff softly laughed as he went back to Scott’s side, leaning down to grab the dirty dishes while ruffling his son’s hair for the sole reason of knowing it would annoy Scott to hell and back. Jack also spoke up to help clarify to which you could hear Dream agreeing.

     Dream acknowledges that there is a need for creators to make an effort to understand discussion that goes around and to be respectful at the same time, admitting that he’s reacted in anger in the past and disregarded discussions. 

     ^ There were a lot of points made, and I didn’t get all of dream’s responses. It was interesting conversation because we have Train being honest and venting his frustrations about cancel culture which I can sympathize with.  Dream (and Jack) spoke up a lot during the whole thing to try to shift Train’s point of view and the things he said were really admirable 

     Dream brings up the thing that happened with charlie a while back and said he dm’d charlie about that misunderstanding as dream puts it- and says that they are good now and saying something along the lines of open communication being so important

Heyyy! I found your blog shortly after The Arena got its big makeover and I didn’t pay too much attention to the other wizards descriptions, so do you have any info/headcanons on them? (determinedowl23)

!!!! You have no idea I have so many headcanons! First tho if u want info: scroll down to the list of arena npcs and you can click on them to get their old in game appearance, name, title, and description (the descriptions are like 1-2 sentences long.)

As for headcanons I have a bunch in the 'arena wizard blogging tag' on here already (so far I've done a headcanon post for Gina, Cameron, Bannard, Flora, Nick, Lillian, and George, but I also have a bunch of other random headcanons in the tag) but to answer your ask here's a quick long highlight reel of my favorite headcanon(s) about each wizard! Some of these are things I've shared before, but some r about people I've never talked about before :) there are 20 characters and I'm bad at being succinct, so strap in folks

Gina has bad luck, or she tends to end up as the target of every spell or piece of machinery that goes awry and she can't do anything about it because she sucks at magic too much to levitate it away lmao

Crios didn't want to be friends with Cameron, cameron just followed him around until he was worn down and just got used to having him around all the time. Now he's so used to him that despite his constant complaining about cameron, he will be even more annoyed if he doesn't have him there to be annoying and do errands for crios.

Bonus cameron one because he's my favorite: his hair is naturally curly and black, he just dyed it to look more like crios. Funnily enough, crios's hair isn't actually naturally orange either.

Mila tends to hang around young wizards more than the wizards at her level, she thinks they're more open minded (which is kind of because they don't have common sense, but she considers that helpful to 'thinking outside the box') and she has a lot of fun mentoring them.

Benjamyn is best friends with fuschia, because thanks to growing up with sisters he's always gotten along better with the girls at school than the boys. Also that leather apparel is hot as heck, but he doesn't take it off because he's just a cold lad man

Fuschia has an eye for small details and is especially good at judging whether people are kind/genuine or not. Some rumor that her pet mystyyk can sense that she has a pure heart and that that's why it chose her, but in reality it's just because she lured it I with lots of treats :3

I've said this one before but bannard is hard of hearing and has no idea what is going on half the time. He's fairly magically gifted and VERY good at scaring away monsters (it's because he never stops yelling) but he's kind of held back by not getting enough accommodations. He doesn't seem to care tho, he's just here to have a good time :)

I know the reason leena is called the metal head is because she likes rocks not metal music, but you can tear electric guitar playing leena from my cold dead hands <3

Finneas is a terrible influence on everyone he meets, he skips like half his classes lmao </3

The lunar wand was made for a werewolf, is it that farfetched to believe another type of shapeshifter might use it? Why are djinnas pets all fish based instead of ghost based if she's a spirit? I'm a Nick = Young Santa Claus truther but that's more of a theory than a headcanon, so other than that I think he's autistic and has a special interest in Christmas and thats why he involves it in a lot of things :) also he gives everyone gifts year round and uses Christmas decorations as fidget/stim toys

Not to do to autistic/special interest headcanons in a row buuut Lillian is also autistic and has a special interest in pets and you can fight me on that. Also Lillian lives with professor scoog (he's her uncle, don't question how that works) and they both loooove rambling about old and new pets to each other

Korathius is one of the only students who's lived on prodigy island his whole life, and him being raised by magic pets is the reason he's in the higher level ranking.

Jen has had several near death experiences.

On George's first day on the island he exploded half his hair and shirt, took apart the wheel of wonder (he tried to put it back together but it ended up falling onto gina when she leaned on it because he did a bad job), and accidentally caused a minor eruption in bonfire spire (he just wanted to see what would happen if you cast spells from underneath the lava, he thought they weren't working so he casted a LOT of light waves.)

Aurora is so mean <3 she will stab u with an icicle if you try to prank you or sneak into her house (which is a small ice castle she built on the iceberg she floated over on.)

I dont have a lot of nova headcanons, shes just a nice gal, u know? She makes really good cookies if its worth anything

Crios is a sore ass loser, he probably decided to start dueling out of spite. Also, he's the one who beat the dark tower the canon where your wizard isn't there.

Fandom: OUAT Pairing: Hook x Male!Reader, one sided Charming x Male!Reader Summary: Snow knows more than what people think she does. And every day her heart breaks. Request: Maybe work something off this?  Snow knew something was off the moment he came with Hook. That pirate that her husband spends his days with, Charming would say that it was because they were friends back home, but she knows the way he looks at the reader is not of just friendship. Hook and the reader are together, and she knows it breaks Charming’s heart that they are-with how happy they smile at each other. The two pirates and the broken Prince.  (I’m gonna sign everything now as LH. :3 )

Snow knew she was observant. She knew her stuff, and she knew her husband. She knew that something wasn’t right the moment she saw David, her Charming, spending more and more of his time with those pirates.

And he would come back at the end of the day, saying how he knew Y/N, we’re old friends, Snow, he’d tell her. I want to just reunite a little. I missed him.

But Snow knew it was a lie. She knew when David lied.

Snow White knew that Hook and Y/N were involved romantically, and she didn’t mind that fact. She liked to think of herself as someone who was accepting of any and every person. So if someone wasn’t straight, then that wasn’t her business. If they needed to come out, and they happened to come out to her, then she would be fine with it.

It was just the off feeling in her stomach. How she’d catch her Charming looking at Hook and Y/N, eyes on Y/N for just a moment or two too long. It made something twist in her chest, and she tried not to think about that. She tried not to think about those bad thoughts in her head, how her Charming didn’t want her anymore.

And it somehow broke her even further to know that Y/N and Hook were perfectly happy together. She knew the two had searched for each other. Y/N had been like her and David, in the town with no memories of his prior past. And once the curse had broken, he’d vanished to the docks, searching for a man that hadn’t found his way to Storybrooke yet. She never knew why, but she figured that if they lost each other, they’d go to the docks to find each other again.

She had been there when the pirates found each other again. Snow hadn’t seen emotions on Hook’s face aside from anger by that point. But the softness, the shock and fear and love in his face when he caught sight of Y/N? It made her heart ache, the relief that he had found the one person he’d been searching for. She could remember the way Y/N had shouted at him, telling Hook to stop taking so long. She remembered the way Hook pulled Y/N into a hug, embracing each other as they kissed. She could still hear the way Hook had apologised, the way his voice was shaky, promising to never leave Y/N’s side ever again.

And Hook kept that promise.

Snow watched the way Hook leaned over, whispering something to Y/N, his lone hand finding its way to the man’s leg. She saw the way Y/N smiled, like he was trying to hold it back, unable to because he was looking at the love of his life. She glanced at her husband and saw the longing in his eyes, in the lines of his face. And she understood. 

Snow supposed if she were in her husband’s shoes, she might feel the same way towards Y/N. He was a nice man, witty and nice, but determined and dangerous when he had to be. She supposed that was what made him a pirate.

Hook kept his hand on Y/N’s thigh, a sort of soft smile on his face, eyes full of love that Y/N wasn’t looking at yet, eyes on his phone in his left hand, right one on top of Hook’s. Snow looked away, wondering when the last time her Charming had looked at her like that.

She looked over in time to see Y/N say, “Want to head out?” Snow saw the way Hook smiled, hanging on Y/N’s every word. She glanced over and saw the hurt in David’s face.

“Do you want to leave?” she asked her husband. It took him a few seconds to react. In that time the two men had gotten up and left the café. He blinked, tearing his gaze away to look at her.

“What? Oh, uh, yes, Snow. I think that would be good.”

Snow and her Charming got up and left, and she found that they and Y/N and Hook were taking the same route.

She got to see the playfulness in the pirates’ relationship, the pushing and nudging. The two men laughed, joking and teasing, being sweet and kind in equal measures of being idiots towards each other. She could hear the insults they threw at each other, quick witty comebacks to each one. Hook pulled Y/N close to him, pressing a kiss onto the man’s lips, both of them smiling.

Snow was hyperaware of how silent she and David was.

She knew she once had true love with her husband, but she wondered if there was something more, something cruel that took it away from her. Hook and Y/N had their own true love, and she knew that if soulmates were real, those pirates would be. But she lost sight on if she and her husband was. Each day, she found another way to break her own heart. She wondered if it was better if she did it to herself than let David keep on doing it unintentionally.

“I know you love him,” she said, voice barely coming out in a whisper. She couldn’t look at her husband from their spots on their bed. They had long since retired to bed, and not a word had been shared. “I know you do, I can see it in your face. Don’t try to hide it.”

“Snow …” David said softly, and she shook her head, silencing him.

“We both know you love him, but we both know he loves Killian Jones. They’re soulmates. True love. I know you love Y/N, but maybe you should accept the fact he doesn’t love you the same way.”

David was quiet for a moment before he spoke up, “I know. I’m sorry.”

“I’m sorry too.”

Snow fell to sleep dreaming of pirates and broken princes.

TL;DR: Dreamt I was on a cruise ship, saw/met some DR friends, saw two numbers (240 and 241) that felt important and it turns out they basically represent success and that I should trust my intuition.

I just had a very vivid dream related to my DR and it had a couple of numbers in it that felt significant in it and I just agagduhshdh it was a lot.

I wasn’t going to talk about this, because I didn’t want anyone to think I was cringey, but I don’t give a shit anymore because I’m just so excited!! I feel really close to my DR and I feel like I really am close to shifting! However, I will be keeping specific names out of this (unless someone asks me to put them in or somethin, idk) because I don’t wanna be called cringey so-

why is it everyone else can do something but I can’t?? everyone else can talk about their DR’s and people from them but I can’t bc of my dumb brain :(

Okey dokey. So. Basically.

In this dream, my CR fam and I (I’m unsure if I was in my CR body or not?? I remember thinking I was but I also remember having a body type similar to my DR self so I’m unsure) decided to go on a cruise!

Fun!!! Nothing could go wrong, right???

The room numbers on the ship were all completely out of order.

I mean it when I say that it was a nightmare. Instead of being arranged according to number, like they’re supposed to be, these numbers seemed to have been decided by the mere whim of whatever chaotic being was behind this merging of dimensions. I passed room 5, 13, 27, 35, 4, 1, 278, etc., with no hope of finding mine nor my family’s room anytime soon.

After a lot of walking around and knocking on the wrong doors, we finally arrived at our rooms. Now, what was weird about this was: A, our rooms were consecutive numbers, 240 and 241, and B, instead of following dream logic, they were right beside one another.

Since these numbers didn’t follow dream logic, and seemed pretty important, I decided to google them, in case they were angel numbers.

241:

Anyways, anyways. So while we were unpacking, I noticed a fun little fact about my room (my room number was number 241).

My closet was connected to the room beside me. Meaning that the rooms shared a closet.

I could literally just open up my closet door, go inside, then go through the other closet door and just stroll into that room. 

Also, weirdly enough, no one seemed to live there? Like, every time I went through the door, the lights would be on, but no one would be inside.

(I totally didn’t take this as another symbolic thing that represented shifting. No sir, not me. /s /lh)

So after that fiasco, my family decided ‘hey! Let’s go to the pool :D’ and since I adore swimming, I immediately went ‘hell yeah’ (but not literally because if I cursed in front of my family they would kill me lmao).

So we went down to the pool and I, clad in a white t-shirt and black shorts (which I’m excited about because that’s what I’ve scripted myself to be wearing when I first shift ahdusuhds), stand on this weird elevated platform thing, surveying the crowds, trying to find a secluded spot because I’m shy af.

The way the pools were set up is weird. Basically there were three platforms, one that led out to the pools, another which held four smaller pools (kinda like hot tubs), and a third which led out to a giant one with waterslides and stuff. It was really neat, and there was even an area with sand in it for kids to play.

So. I was standing there, looking around kind of shyly, wondering where I could go where I didn’t have to greet people.

and that’s when my eyes widen and I’m severely tempted to toss my social anxiety to the side and jump headfirst into one of the pools before me.

There’s people from my DR there. They’re mixed in with the crowds, but it’s easy for me to find them. I start to get excited, swiveling my head around as I start to recognize all of my friends.

Of course I immediately whip around to my parents.

“Can I get in??” I ask desperately, probably looking like I’m about to implode.

“Sure!” But I am already gone.

As soon as one of the more irritable ones has left the area (I knew that none of them would really know me, not in this reality, so I wanted to play it safe), I bound over to them and sit in the pool they’re in. At this point, I’m practically shaking in excitement and glee.

They were there. Right in front of me. With me.

One of them lifts his head out of the water (he was lying down underwater for.. some reason, honestly wtf bro) and talks to me, but I forgot about what. I think I said some dream logic type of thing but idk anymore. I do remember asking about the irritable friend, asking how his hair never got slicked down from being wet. The one who had been under the water said that he didn’t know, but he saw him putting something in his hair earlier.

I may or may not have snickered at that (I did, which makes me even more grateful that he had left because knowing him, he probably would’ve yeeted me out of the pool).

So I was chilling, talking to two of the people from my DR (AHDUHSHDH), when one of them (a girl) turns to me, eagerly asking if we can be friends.

I said yes, of course. I also told them about my weird closet.

The girl immediately grabs my shoulders, shakes me a little, then begs me to let her come over and see it (she’s very excitable in my DR lmao). I say yes.

anyways after that I don’t remember much. The friend did come over (along with underwater dude lmao) and was really excited about the closet (idk why, but I, once again, took that as symbolism).

After that a lot of weird, dream logic type stuff happened that I’m disregarding, except for one part where the girl from before and I were talking.

The girl: “I’m sorry he turned you down.”

Me: “It’s okay.”

The girl: “Well.. If it makes you feel better, he said he was just looking for a friend right now.”

anyways it freaked me out because of the second part of the meaning of 241. Something tells me that probably was a warning to be patient.

hmm okay i think i take on personality traits from everyone i meet. if i see something in someone else, i try to soak it up and be like that too. some of it is probably rooted in some insecurity or something but hey! you're not my therapist and we don't need to get into that. anyway, fictional characters. god, i absolutely loved hermione growing up. but i think my favorite character was luna for the majority of my childhood? like, maybe it was just the "weird kid" in her that i connected to, or something, or maybe it was me not wanting to be like "other girls" when they dressed up like hermione and i staunchly refused to. i don't know. honestly, it's hard to pinpoint what specific traits i picked up but i think from hermione i tried to pick up the idea that sometimes, even if you respect authority, they're wrong and you have to go against them, and it's okay to do that. and also just like, it's okay to not always put school first even if that's what you're used to. i dunno. bleh. okay uh. my brain is not working. OH. also!!! mysterious benedict society shaped my brain MASSIVELY. i loved that series. my favorites were reynie and constance, reynie just cause he was always so... reasonable, and so charming and friendly and so himself and so likeable and i wanted to be like that... and then constance because she was just so obstinate and so powerful despite her age and it was just. real fun to read her scenes. i don't know lmao.
