because i am who i am (annoying abt ro always) i have this clip saved from when the orbital was being built of zam and minute very VERY briefly considering the idea that ro might betray them before ultimately brushing it off as "nah he wouldnt" and moving on.

now the interesting thing abt this clip To Me is that both minute and zam immediately discard the idea that ro could betray while mapicc is the one whos like "i could see him doing that", albiet very quietly which is why the topic is dropped so fast but i do find it rly funny and interesting that the person who arguably trusts/understands ro the most in the call (and on the server tbh) fully acknowledges that bc of who ro is, its entirely a possibility that he full betrays for fun or for content purposes while the two people who seem to doubt ro's loyalty and trustworthiness to anyone who Isnt mapicc dont consider the possibility of him betraying for more than 5 seconds max

the whole concept of "trust" on ls is just so interesting to me bc again . to older lsers, trust isnt abt never disagreeing w ur friend or teammate Ever and supporting every single thing they do, its about reliability and consistency in who u are. mapicc trusts zam, ro, and even spoke to an extent spanning across multiple seasons bc he knows them. he understands who they are, their morals, what they have fun w and what they need in a team, and their reasonings/logic behind the things that they do.

this is why he teams w zam in every season (bc he is reliable and fun to be around), why he always ends up teaming w spoke despite acknowledging that you should never EVER fully trust him if u have half a braincell (bc hes fun and mapicc knows what to expect), and why he Always ends up friends w ro in some shape or form (bc his loyalty and reliability is consistent when it matters most. he is also just fun LMFAO)

it isnt about always expecting them doing things he always like or what he wants, its abt the fact that he has fun w them. he cares about them, and they care about him in turn. he has spent the time w them to fully understand them which is why his relationship w all three of them has remained so consistent throughout the years— bc he always knows what to expect w them!! regardless of if theyre his enemies or his teammates or simply his allies, theyre people he is able to come to for fun and sillies no matter what bc they are his friends

like newer people (mainly derap and kab tbh) see the relationship older ls people have and want a relationship like that of their own but thats exactly why they havent had that yet. bc they dont understand How the relationship dynamic works on a fundamental level, they think its about unconditional support No Matter What and loyalty to one person and one person alone but its just. not that. like every player is their own person w their own thoughts, principals, feelings, and morals. like zam left team awesome and eclipse fed despite his very real love for both teams bc he couldnt agree w their morals. mapicc hated ro's teammates in s5 but never EVER expected him to choose or to leave his team to stay friends w him. like they are all their own people who have their own boundaries and the respect they have developed for each other throughout the seasons is why their relationships have become so stable and consistent throughout the seasons.

-Ghostbur was not missing all his memories when he came into existence. He showed up in the ruins with all his memories, then over the course of about ninety minutes on Nov 17th lost most of them, before which he acted like just a more detached and apathetic version of wilbur as he was in pogtopia (this version is named lucibur by quackity i think)

-ghostbur first manifesting because quackity n tubbo n fundy were trying to figure out the tune of the lmanberg anthem

-Nov 17th Ghostbur to Tubbo: "I feel like I need to say to you especially that I wasn't intending to blow up Tubbo's L'Manberg, to be honest, I wanted to blow up Tommy's L'Manburg. I-I made him president and then I was going to blow it up- as sort of a testament to his reign. But then he gave it to you, and I think you’ll be a good leader."

-ghostbur for all intensive purposes being a tangible guy who can walk around wherever he wants and talk to people and build things and hit people and play instruments. but he is like. metatextually unable to affect the plot in major ways. everything he does with nlm beyond aesthetic decoration is either advising other people or watching other people. he is powerless to stop exile or techno's execution or doomsday or anything. which i think is a neat way to do a ghost

-ghostbur riding around on horseback shooting people with his. gun? and invisible. he did this a lot and its very fucking funny

-ghostbur being the first person to call tubbo Mr President and also being deeply deeply insistent that tubbo wear wilbur's old presidential suit. i dont know what to make of that but its painful whatever it is

-ghostbur saying fundy makes him feel patriotic. hello

-ghostbur defining the difference between himself and wilbur as "he was a bad man and i am not." HELLO???? THERES LAYERS THERE

-ghostbur having moments of being very terse or harsh with tubbo or irritated with tommy before literally saying "sorry! im back to being friendly" which (if you choose to read into this like i do and not just take it as acting inconsistency) could imply that being nice is not like. the default state of how ghostbur is as a person? if that makes sense? like he doesnt naturally lean towards being nice to people, but rather its a conscious choice he just follows fucking religiously

-whatever the FUCK is going on with ghostbur and tommy before tommy got very attached to him during exile and continuing onwards. first interaction between them is from a tubbo stream where ghostbur says he's "thinking of throwing tommy out" of lmanberg and it only sounds half like a joke. ghostbur seemingly remembering tommy with crystal clarity. tommy referring to ghostbur as wilbur consistently before switching to ghostbur and then seeming significantly freaked out by him. ghostbur giving tommy invis potions (and tommys later psychological dependence on invis potions in season 4). tommy describing his relationship with ghostbur as "coworkers." ow.

-ghostbur's reason for building so much around new l'manberg is that he thinks it's his unfinished business (not addressing when tubbo speculates that tommy might be his unfinished business) and saying he doesn't understand why he's not dead.

1. DUDE Ghostbur’s first moments on the Dream SMP are so so interesting!! Yeah exactly, he was essentially just… Wilbur as a ghost. Fascinating! It seems like the longer Ghostbur was on the server, the more he leaned into a personality that was seperate from Wilbur’s, and the more he kinda became his Own Guy, rather than the ghost of a guy. Y’know? When he first showed up, his voice wasn’t high-pitched, he had most/all of his memories, and his personality was pretty much indistinguishable from Wilbur’s—and only after he had some time to experience life & think about things did he become Ghostbur, rather than Wilbur’s Ghost. I just think it’s very neat & a super cool part of his lore!

2. Something something Wilbur started the L’manburg National Anthem something something and Ghostbur was the one who finished it… something something. Unfinished symphonies being completed…

3. BROOOOO THAT QUOTE. “I wanted to blow up Tommy’s L’manburg” goshdangggg, man.

4. OH THAT IS A NEAT OBSERVATION!! Yes!!! Gosh every so often I think about the fact that Tommy really was one of the only people who tried to remember Ghostbur after he died; most everyone else either forgot about Ghostbur or acted as if he never existed. With that and also what you said about Ghostbur being unable to affect the plot, I just find it… so incredibly interesting. Ghostbur cannot float or fly or walk through walls like a typical ghost, but in almost every other aspect he is a ghost, in every sense of the word. He can’t grasp the plot or canon events with tangible hands; everything just slips through his fingers, rendering him helpless and powerless. Very interesting!

5. AJGSKSGSKSGSJSGS YEAHYEAHYEAH!!! Ghostbur’s strider <3 I think the strider’s name was Larrie? If I’m remembering correctly? Anyways yes Ghostbur turned into a little menace whenever he rode that thing and I appreciate it so much <3

6. Ough… </3 Thinks about Ghostbur saying “it looks like you’re filling in some big shoes” and thinks about Tubbo replying “I actually have very very small feet.” </333333 I think Ghostbur saw Tubbo in Such an optimistic light because he saw what Wilbur could have been, if things had turned out better. Ghostbur saw a strong man who wanted the best for his country and worked hard to get it there, and I think it reminded Ghostbur a lot of Wilbur during the early L’manburg days, when he was fiery and ambitious and headstrong and passionate and overflowing with love for a nation he’d built with his own two hands. And I think that put quite a bit of pressure on Tubbo, and also perhaps some dread, because unlike Ghostbur, Tubbo knows how Wilbur’s story ended—he remembers it. He remembers how dark and corrupted Wilbur got, and Ghostbur doesn’t have those memories and/or knowledge.

7. GHOSTBUR AND FUNDY YOU WILL ALWAYS BE FAMOUS. TO ME.

8. THE RELATIONSHIP THAT GHOSTBUR HAS WITH WILBUR (AND VICE VERSA) IS INSANE TO ME!!! YES YOU’RE SO RIGHT THERE ARE SO MANY LAYERS!!! GOSH!!! Ghostbur really tried to distance himself Completely from Wilbur, often to the point of denial, repression, and general unhealthiness. While I do believe that Ghostbur and Wilbur are not the same person—and feel very strongly about that—I also definitely think that acknowledging the fact that Ghostbur would not exist without Wilbur, that he is deeply connected to Wilbur, and that there are similarities between them is hekkin important—and it’s something that Ghostbur tries his best not to do. And it’s not good!! It’s not healthy!! Ghostbur causes a lot of angst for himself because of this!!

And also Ghostbur’s strictly black and white worldview, especially during his earlier days, and especially in regards to Wilbur, does a lot more harm than good, and completely erases & ignores the good aspects that Wilbur had, and the good things he did throughout his life. I think Ghostbur likes to believe that Wilbur is an inherently, 100% purely evil monster of a man who can only do bad, destructive things—and of course that’s not true at all. Wilbur is a person just like Ghostbur, and he makes serious mistakes and has serious flaws, but y’know. He’s also human. And humans are a very messy mixture of good and bad.

I think that the journey Ghostbur goes on with his opinions about Wilbur is one of the most interesting parts of the entire SMP, and it’s a real shame that no one talks about it. Over the course of Ghostbur’s (admittedly very short) life, he goes from “Wilbur was evil and incapable of good” to “Wilbur did bad things but he wasn’t fully monstrous.” AND!! THAT IS SO COOL AND INTERESTING!! AND FILLED WITH SO MANY THINGS TO PICK APART & THINK ABOUT & PONDER!!!

And also the journey Wilbur goes on after revival in the way that he views Ghostbur. In so many ways it’s like a perfect mirror to Ghostbur’s journey!! Wilbur goes from “Ghostbur was weak and pathetic and I hate him” to “Ghostbur was a human being and he did a lot of good things and he’s worthy & deserving of an apology” AND!!! THE PARALLELS?? ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING MEEEEEEE

9. Okayokay before reading this ask I did absolutely view that as acting inconsistencies, but bro. That is such a better idea?? Oh my gosh??? It adds another layer to Ghostbur’s wonderfully complex little mind!! Ohhh man I’m gonna be thinking about this now. Also ties into the fact that Ghostbur acted almost identical to Wilbur when he first came into existence, and gradually lost a lot of the Wilbur-esque traits as time wore on. Perhaps the meanness was a leftover trait of Wilbur’s during Pogtopia that Ghostbur adopted for a little while.

Gosh Ghostbur & Tommy make me so insane I’m not freaking joking they’re so. they’re. they just. sighs. Imagine if your brother died and he leaves a ghost in his wake and the ghost is your brother but wait no he’s not your brother but he looks so similar and sounds so similar but he also looks so different and sounds so different and you don’t want to love him at first because he’s wrong and you can’t love a wrong brother but eventually love starts leaking out of you in uncontrollable rivers because gosh you miss your brother and this ghost is not your brother but he’s similar enough. Maybe you can try loving him too. And then you start loving him with a love that’s different than the love you had for your brother because this ghost is not your brother but maybe he can be a friend and sometimes you feel like you need to look out for him and it feels weird but you love him anyway even throughout all the strangeness. And then you watch the ghost die and you feel responsible and you miss him but now your brother is back. Except now your brother feels like a ghost and the ghost feels like your brother. Do you hear what I’m saying. They make me insane.

Also Tubbo suggesting that maybe Ghostbur is haunting Tommy. Also that.

10. Ghostbur is simply trying to cobble together an identity for himself but the problem is that he doesn’t know who he is, not really, so he’s constantly searching for something to live for, and he’s constantly confused and wondering and longing. Longing for something solid that he can set his mind on. And he really gravitated towards the idea of rebuilding L’manburg I think because 1) L’manburg was Wilbur’s unfinished symphony and Ghostbur feels like he’s the one who needs to be responsible for finishing it, and 2) rebuilding L’manburg would be beneficial for & appreciated by the residents, which would make them happy, and Ghostbur has his heart dead-set on making people happy, and 3) he has no idea what his purpose could be outside of L’manburg, so he finds it easier to pour himself into that country, so much so that he leaves little to no room for speculation on other possibilities for why he was “brought back.”

okay. okay watching the tsmp vod has cleared up a thing i got the details confused on, so im adjusting my theorizing accordingly.

Navigator, aka "the Viking that shows up in Twitch SMP sometimes to lore all over the place", explained the spacetime thing to tRuby as "often, when there is not both of us, neither-- the other one is not the manifestation, in order to avoid... conflict of interest and problems."

(roughly. it's too late at night to do an actual proper transcription with formatting and stuff. you get me though)

either i completely missed this line or i just Forgot in the wake of everything else revealed during that stream, but if my half-awake brain is properly understanding it now:

Viking is the manifestation of space and Ruby is the manifestation of time, as established in TSMP. however, there's not always a Viking and/or a Ruby, and in those cases there's a placeholder of some sort to keep things running in their place. ive talked abt this before, i think its neat, its also raised a lot of questions in SBK but ill get to that in a sec

anyway, what Nav mentions here is that in those situations where only half of the spacetime siblings is around, they're not space or time. so, like, Dominion Viking isn't space incarnate because there's no Ruby, and also he's kind of busy being dead / it would probably be An Issue for the manifestation of space to die in an accident and then get his brain scrambled by a cursed book. on the other side of things, Chunklocked Ruby (who i am very excited to watch the vods of :D) isnt time incarnate because there's no Viking.

i think. its late at night and im having to re-process everything all over again, this is not well organized lmao

anyway, bringing it around to Skyblock Kingdoms: we know that the placeholder artifacts (clock and compass) are present, because Cherruby has them. we also know that Cherruby is from... somewhere else. we also also know that Summertime is perfectly ordinary, asides from that one time Nav swapped him over to TSMP for the worst 15 seconds of his life and he got the bajeezus scared out of him by Sapphire.

so, like. with the original understanding of how stuff worked, the theory was that Summertime also must've been from another place in order for Cherruby to have the clock and compass. but now that i'm actually able to check direct quotes, its pointing more towards Summertime is native to SBK, there just isn't a native Ruby so he didn't get to be a demigod (???). either way, "Cherruby is not supposed to be here" is very locked in, and they somehow stumbled across the clock and compass keeping SBK's reality stable in lieu of Summertime and his nonexistent sibling.

Sonic's on the same level as knuckles he genuinely so cool and i do base some of my personality off him... i love his character development in sonic prime but his attitude in sonic x is so funny its amazing. He's defo got a bit of attitude to him in the older stuff which makes me love him more. His jokes and ''Wtf is danger.'' attitude is so real. Also movie sonic voiced by Ben Schwartz HELL YEAH, i love Ben hes so funny i cant wait for sonic 3.

-Shadow the hedgehog

''Another sonic character? is all your favourite characters sonic characters?'' no, just wait i get to other characters <3 but MY MY MY MY MYYY OH MY I LOVE SHADOW. I remember my first sonic game, if you can even call it that, being Mario and Sonic 2012 Olympic games and always playing as either shadow, sonic, silver or amy. I loved paying as him. Also his game is SO FUN and his backstory is so fun to learn and 100% take some of his personality and put it onto mine like i do with sonic. He's just such a good character and im glad this is the year of shadow bcz we NEED more shadow content. i would ramble about him more but i cant think of anything else to say.

Another character voiced by Ben schwartz! I just recently watched this movie and i LOVED it. I used to like TMNT when i was little but never fully got into it but my favourites were always Leo and Mikey. Im literally him /hj. He's such a cool character (i say that with all of them i just love them all so much). Also if any TMNT fans have any movie/TV show recommendations for TMNT i am willing to take them!

I remember watching Into the Spider Verse and i loved it so much, i felt bad for miles in a way because he had to go through seeing spider man die in front of his eyes then realising hes the new spider man and blah blah blah. Im watching Penny's (from snapcube) VODs from when she played Spiderman 2 and miles' suits are so cool i love how they added the spider-verse movie suits into the game theyre defo some of my favs. Across the spider verse was such a good movie but into the spider verse was defo better (hot take? idk). Im so excited to see what happens in the next movie.

-Silver the hedgehog

Another sonic character yes, but i love sonic so much its my main special interest/hyperfixation. Silver is so silly i need to see more content of him tho. It's also kinda funny how his first appearance was sonic 06 ,which as we all know, is an awful game. In need to see more of him we need another game with him in as a playable character. Smt like SA2 idk.

-Batman

All forms of batman, lego batman is top tier and the rest under him. I watched the lego batman movie in the cinema when it came out and little me loved it and i recently, abt 3 years ago, got fully into batman stuff. The movies are so good and batman is such a cool character to, i need to meet more people who like him.

Thats it for now, i would add garfield but i dont really have anything to say abt him other than hes the most realest character ever. Hate mondays, love lasagne.

I actually don't know if I have it in me to make a real good post but I liked Founder's Cut soooo much. My two biggest gripes with the show played a lot better both on second watch and bc of how it was recut – the much tighter cutting maintained my investment better and kept up my suspension of disbelief so a lot of the cheese on both the wire monster and, importantly, Hetch (whose execution I haaaated on stream) just dissolved and I was much more able 2 accept them both. Nothing can save the ending monologue for me, but Hetch's acting and writing was so much better and more effective this go-round – it's just the little things abt how it's all delivered making him no longer exhausting to watch and often compelling. Some of his lines were still overwritten (ESPECIALLY, again, the ending stuff, which while also more convincing I still hate), but nothing like how I felt watching streams

The overwriting is the same problem as the new cut ins on FACTORY RESET and the new hat bit – I don't like it when GenLoss explains itself so directly yk? Hetch being blatant in ways like so blatantly fucking lying to Ranboo is one thing but when he's straight up repeating for the like 10th time that you'll beeeee in my eeevil gameshow for eeeeeeveer just doesn't work. Same goes for when Sneeg escapes and gets masked vs when he gets hatted and we are excruciatingly shown his thought process. I don't know why we get this and also 5 minutes of Mousetrap who asked for 5 minutes of Mousetrap sorry

With intention applied to it and the restrictions of livestream removed it's so much better to watch – the cutting both w/ snipping out VOD Stalling and w/ the new camera angles for proper cinematic tension does so goddamn much to keep the energy and investment and it's insane it is SO GENUINELY the little things. Like alleviating the dead air and cheese is one thing but the way it elevates things I already thought were good is SO crazy so many things I thought were like Just OK in the streams had me actually scream laughing or "you're SO FUCKED" adoring in the cut. Ranboo's character comes out sm more, every single joke lands better, action doesn't feel like "oh finally) I don't think much anything is really lost and so so much is gained

Squiggles direction change did throw me a little though. I miss Squiggles and I kind of still wish that the ending monologue was replaced with a good Squiggles segment... but I did adore the animations they were so fucking cute
