Arcane imagine.
arcane characters react to you confessing your feelings to them.
characters included: Mel medarda, Caitlyn, vi, jinx, sevika
warnings: mutual pinning, yearning, fluff, slight angst, happy ending, implied smut, flirting, kissing, yeah .
Mel medarda;
You've been crushing on Mel for the longest time, you don't even know when it started, as you two have known each other for a while now, you both were kinda friends, you were never really sure, but you always felt so close to her
She had felt the same, she liked sticking by your side, hearing about your day, your projects, what you are thinking, anything, she loved listening to you talk
It was the one thing that made her day better, and seeing your face of course
It happened so suddenly, these feelings you'd never expect just came to you, Mel was just there, and you fell in love
Not that anyone could blame you, really, she's a goddess
you always wondered why on earth she'd spend time with you, someone so beautiful, so perfect, that you can't help but always admire, no matter the time and place
When you're anxious, you think of Mel, she makes everything better
When you're alone, you think of Mel
When you're with mel, you think of her
When you spot a pretty flower, you think of Mel
One time, you unintentionally picked a couple of flowers, making them look all pretty as you practically skipped your way to where Mel would be. But she wasn't alone, jayce was there, another boy she was working with
You thought they looked close, and you started to back away from them, your heart sinking, you felt your throat get tight, god, you felt so stupid, of course she would like a man like jayce, why would she ever like you? You were always just going to be her friend
Later that same day, it had turned to night, you spent the rest of the day in bed, ignoring everything and everyone, you were hurt, confused, annoyed with yourself
You just wanted it all to go away
When you heard a knock at your door, and your eyes widened, you looked up, you were about to tell them to go away, whoever it was, that's when you heard a familiar voice
"hey, it's me."
It was Mel's.
You wanted so badly to ignore her, for her to just walk away, but you knew she wasn't going to do that, you closed your eyes and signed, eventually getting up as you walked towards the door and opened it for her
"what do you want? I'm trying to sleep..." You said, hating how you sounded speaking to her. You watched the way Mel frowned, how she looked so worried, her hand reached out and you flinched, she didn't show how much that saddend her.
"you didn't join me for dinner, I was worried. I had came to check on you, oh! I should tell you on what Jayce and I have been up to so far-"
You shook your head, turning away as your back faced her, "I don't wanna hear about him."
That was all Mel needed to hear.
She smiled, stepping closer to you as she wrapped her arms around you, pulling you in, you tried to protect but nothing came out and she wasn't letting you go anyways
There was no point
"tell me what's wrong, I know what you're like when you try and push others away, don't do that to me, please" she murmured, her voice soft and calming in your ears as you stared at the ground
you felt your eyes water
"I like you, Mel" you sniffled, you were ready for her to leave, for your friendship to be over. "I've always liked you Mel, more than how friends should like one another, I just I was so scared. But then I saw you with Jayce, and I got jealous, I grew distant, because I couldn't face you, I couldn't look at you in the eyes the same, knowing that he can be better for you than I could ever be."
For a moment, you didn't hear anything, you still heard her breathing from behind you as your heart thumped loudly in your chest.
Then she forced you to turn around and look into her eyes as her hand grabbed your chin, "you mean more to me than anyone could ever be, Why would you think such things?, you're more than my friend, you're my love, my laughter, my everything, this is all I ever wanted to hear from you" Mel said, she smiled so brightly, she looked gorgeous, you wanted to kiss her
You caressed her cheek with her hand, "can... Can I?" You were hesitant to ask, she chuckled, crashing her lips against yours, you melted into the kiss, wanting to stay here forever and ever, she tasted like strawberries and honey, you never wanted to get rid of that taste
Caitlyn;
Caitlyn knew there was something off about you the moment you stopped talking to her as much like you usually would
She found it strange, so unlike you, she looked forward to seeing you whenever she could and hear your voice
But as of lately, she's been alone and missing a certain someone, you
She's been talking to Jayce and wondering what to do and how she can help you if there is anything going on, she'd want to help, she was your friend, your best friend even
So it hurt her when you suddenly stopped hanging out with her
She couldn't stop thinking about you, if she had done anything to cause this, she was freaking herself out
She had even gone to Viktor and ask for his advice, he was sort of helpful, but it wasn't like he was cupid and had the best advice for crushing on your friend
Caitlyn missed you, a lot
She went to your place to find you, surprisingly, you weren't there, she looked at the library, she didn't see you, eventually, she did find you, sitting outside by a tree, you looked so pretty, she couldn't help but admire, she ran up to you, excited, she needed to be around you again
"Cait?..." You said, looking surprised, she wasn't sure why you would be, she didn't say anything and just hugged you tightly
You hugged her back
"where have you been? I've been looking everywhere for you, you had me worried" Caitlyn's words came out rushed, you smiled at her.
"can you sit with me?" You asked.
She happily did.
"what's going on? Did something happen?-"
"Cait, let me speak."
You had cut her off before she could even finish asking more, she immediately shut up, she knew you needed to take your time to gather your words, she wanted to touch you again, but she restrained herself
"there's been a lot on my mind, that's why I haven't seen you, but I need to tell you something" you said, she can see the way you were fidgeting with your fingers, a thing you do when you're nervous, then you just randomly stood up, pacing back and forth.
"whatever you have to tell me won't be that bad-" Caitlyn tried to reassure, still you didn't listen
"I like you" you shouted at her, she blinked.
"you what?" She muttered, still processing your words
"I know this was a bad idea to tell you how I really felt, but I had to, I couldn't not tell you, I really fucking like you, Caitlyn" you said, it almost looked like you were on the verge of tears
Caitlyn stood up, you stared up at her expecting the worst, but then she cupped your face and kissed you
That alone told you enough of what she really meant, as you kissed her back, smiling
Vi;
You have always liked Vi for as long as you've known her, that wasn't anything new, anyone who's ever met you knows about your crush on her, except for one person, Vi
She's always claimed not to be an oblivious person, but people who know her also know that's obvious to see from a mile away
Vi has always been a good friend to you, more than anyone has ever been
Ekko, one of your other friends, has been telling you to confess your crush to Vi for years, yeah, it's not something that's new, you two have known each other for ages, Ekko has been through it all witnessing it, and he just wants you to tell her already
"Ekko, I don't know. I don't wanna ruin what I have with her" you muttered, the two of you were hanging out one night, catching up over snacks and games, you hear him chuckle
"you won't, trust me. I wouldn't be telling you to do this if I wasn't sure."
He was right about that. You've always trusted Ekko no matter what it is, he's always had a good heart
and almost most of the time he was always right
Just maybe things will go okay, if you told Vi how you really feel, she won't stop being your friend, but the fact that everyone else can see your crush on her except for her you just weren't sure
Even when you think you know her, you still can't wrap your head around her
You had planned to tell her this Friday night, where you know she'd always meet at your hangout spot, you wanted to make it look pretty, make it feel special, also it was an excuse to distract yourself from what tonight was actually for
Ekko had helped picked out the music, Vi has always liked metal and punk rock, you were sure in another lifetime she would be in a band
you had gotten the snacks, her favorites and yours, including the drinks and the gift you wanted to give her, you've set up a blanket and pillows down for you both
Your heart felt like it was beating so hard it could rip out of your chest any minute
You checked the time and your eyes widened, she was going to be here any second, fuck
You tried to stop pacing around, before you knew it she had arrived right on time, she greeted you with a smile and immediately hugged you, your cheeks warmed as you hugged her back, god you missed her so much
"what's the special occasion?" She asks with a raised eyebrow, biting her cherry as she laid down onto the blankets. "Everything looks so nice, and you got me my favorites? You spoil me."
You smiled, sitting down with her as you contemplated even telling her how you really felt, with how pretty she looks right now, you so badly wanted to kiss her
"I may have something" you said, finally able to get your words together. "Actually yes, I need to tell you something, vi" you hated how you were stuttering, you bit down on your bottom lip as you avoided her gaze.
"what's up, angel?" She said with a grin, she's always called you that, it's been her personal nickname made for you, it's always made you flustered
"Vi, I like... " You paused, trying to actually look into her eyes without looking away, "I like you."
Vi smiled, she looked like she didn't get it at first
"I like you to, angel" she chuckled.
You shake your head.
"no, vi, I actually like like you, I wanna be your girlfriend."
God you couldn't believe you actually told her
you waited for her to reject you, to just stand up and leave, but she didn't do any of that, instead Vi pulled you in closer, pressing her lips to yours as she kissed you hard, you gasped into her mouth, processing whats happening, that she's kissing you, her lips feel so soft against your own, your hand reached up to cup her face
She pulled away, letting you two have a moment to catch your breath as you felt ecstatic, "vi..."
"I've always liked you too, I'm glad you told me. I was actually planning on telling you myself, I didn't know when but you bet me to it, I'm glad you did, because this was the best, it was perfect."
You smiled, leaning in as your nose brushed against hers, she grabbed you by the shirt, making you fall into her as the night was not over just yet
Jinx;
Jinx had always been by your side for as long as you've known her, you have always been by hers, and she's always been by yours, that's just how you two were, when you met, it was an instant click, it was rare for jinx to experience that, so she kept you by for as long as she can
She loves everything about you, your entire personality, how no matter what you always make her day better, you were different, you meant a lot to her
She meant a lot to you as well
More than she'd ever know
Despite all that was happening, what you two have been through, you have always defended her, even when you didn't have to
She appreciates that, even if she doesn't tell you herself
It's like you somehow knew
She needed you, when Vi left, she needed you the most
You were one of the very few that stuck around, and you weren't going anywhere anytime soon
Jinx notices something was up when you weren't showing up to her place like you'd usually be, you were always around, as of late, she didn't see much of you
She wondered why
Did she do something wrong? Are you finally realizing you're better off without her?
No, she couldn't think like that
She was able to easily find you again, you were standing by yourself on an edge, she was concerned, extremely worried, she was so happy to see you again, but she knew she shouldn't rush you
"hey" you said, she didn't even say anything yet you knew she was here
"hi" she smiled, "what are you doing out here? It's cold" she starts to take off her jacket, she always gave you something to wear even if you don't need it right then
You let her put it on
You've always looked so pretty in her clothes
"you know, you'd be a good model, definitely have the body for it" she chuckles with a grin, unable to keep her eyes off you. She saw the way you looked down, how you smiled, she felt proud of that, a little bit cocky too. "You okay? You wanna tell me what's up? You've been avoiding me. You know how I am when people try to ignore me" she couldn't help but pout.
You turn to face her, finally looking at her, she smiles at the sight of you. "I know, I'm sorry about that, a lot has been on my mind. Jinx, there's something I have to tell you, I can't hide it anymore."
She frowned, unsure of what you meant, were you planning on leaving her? Moving away forever? Was she not going to be able to see you ever again? So many thoughts clouded her
But what you told her was nothing she was expecting
"I like you, Jinx, for so long, I've liked you, and no, not in the platonic way, yes, that too, I mean you've meant something more to me for a long time" you said, staring into her gaze as her mouth hangs open, you what?
She rushes to you, wrapping her arms around you tightly as she feels like she could almost cry, good tears this time, her heart was beating so fast she laughed loudly
"why didn't you tell me sooner?" She grinned, cupping your face with both of her hands like you were her entire world, you are, you've always been. "I've liked you since forever, idiot, jeez, finally one of us came clean about it. I was gonna make a dramatic reveal to you but this was so you. I like it. I really like you too. A lot. Please be mine."
And you happily did, you kissed her, that night was the best night of your lives.
Sevika;
Sevika wasn't an easy woman to read, some people have found it hard to even get under her skin, find out what makes her tick, what makes her squirm, loose balance
But you'd be a fool to test her
Then again, you were always known to be a foolish one
When people see you two together, they can't see it, you were brighter, much bubbly, always smiling then there was Sevika, scary, intimating, will kill you with one look
You two were total opposites, no one could understand how you worked so well together
But you just made it work
You were the book smart to Sevika's street smart, which is why silco partnered you with his most trusted a lot, she couldn't exactly argue with it at first, she still did, complaining about having to babysit you, despite the fact that she wasn't that much older than you anyways
Okay, maybe by a few years older, but you didn't need a god damn babysitter
She knew how to piss you off, and you knew how to annoy her as well
It went back and forth, at first, you two fought a lot, there were a lot of misunderstandings, people were even nervous to get in between you both, you two were just so loud about everything that only silco can shut you both up
Eventually, after a while, a long while, things started to settle, and Sevika understood why silco picked you
She knew he wouldn't pick any random person, he had his reasons
Then something weird started to happen, she grew more protective over you, sure, she knew she was already protective of those she cared most, but you, she wasn't sure about, it just happened all of a sudden, if anyone was bothering you, hell, if anyone tried to hurt you, hell would be unleashed
Jinx would always mock her of how much she protects you and will do anything for you, Sevika tries to fight it, her stubbornness winning, but as soon as she sees you, her walls are being cut down, forced to let you see her, as she watches you from afar, admiring your work and talents, how much dedication and time you put into things, she's actually impressed by you
The first time she ever complimented you had you feeling all giddy for weeks, months even, you wanted nothing more than to be praised by her again
Jinx was over it
How much you talked about her, how pretty she is, she'd literally gagged at how love sick you were about her, she was so tempted to shove you both in a closet to hurry the hell up and get it over with
But she knew sevika would kill her
Then again, she's reached a point where she couldn't care less
When Jinx was able to get you two alone together to finally actually talk things out, she did, she was gonna make it work, even if she had to be dramatic and pull a little strings
She would live with the fact that Sevika was gonna be pissed at her for a long time, possibly forever if this goes terribly wrong, but she doubts it would
It was a late Saturday night, everyone was still awake and hanging around, Sevika was sitting at the bar, right where Jinx told her where to meet, Jinx watched as you finally showed up, looking all nice as she grinned, walking away from it, letting it all play out
"Sevika?" You muttered, confused to see her there
But fuck did she look good
She frowned at the sight of you, about to say something, but her words fell flat at what you were wearing, you looked beautiful
Like really fucking gorgeous
"you look... Nice."
Your cheeks warmed at that, hearing her compliment you as you looked away from her gaze that was too intense for you
"yeah, I was told you'd be here... Jinx told me you wanted to speak to me about something important."
Then it clicked to her.
"fuckin' jinx" she groaned, shoving her glass away. "She set us up."
"what?" You said, dumbfounded, going to sit next to her.
There was a pause, you stared in the distance, distracted, she stared at you more, admiring your features, how pretty you looked in that dress
She's never seen you wear something so formal
It suited you
She bit down on her bottom lip, all of a sudden feeling nervous to speak
"how do you feel about us?" You asked, still not looking at her, she frowned
"us?" She repeated.
You nodded, turning your head to look at her in the eyes
"yeah, me and you. We're a good team, you make a good partner" you say. She felt her heart skip a beat, what the fuck was happening? Why were you being so nice to her?
"what is it" she muttered, "just tell me what you want."
"huh?" You looked confused.
"fuckin' hell" she groaned, running a hand through her hair. "Tell me."
"I like you" you spat out before you could even think.
She raised an eyebrow at you.
"say that again?."
"sevika" you sighed, she liked the way her name sounded coming from your lips, she wanted to hear it again. "This is already awkward as fuck, I like you, okay, fuck, I never hated you, well, maybe at some point I disliked you, at the start, but even then, you're a goddess, fucking look at you, your stunning, anyone would fall for that."
That took her off guard, definitely not what she was expecting
"if you want to cuss me out and stop being partners I'll accept I-"
She shut you up with her lips, pressing herself into you as you almost fell off your stool. She grabbed onto you as you held on tight, kissing her hard, as you moaned into her mouth.
After a while, she didn't want to stop kissing you, neither did you want to stop, you both broke away breathless, pressing your foreheads against each others
"come to mine?" She says with a smile
It's not often you see Sevika smile
"lead the way."

acts of service - toji fushiguro
summary - you love toji and you'd never let him feel like a burden
warning - angst, mention of an argument, going to bed angry, acts of service, husband toji, fluff at the end, soft!toji
the bedroom door slams behind you as your heart is pounds. your jaw hurts from biting back words youâll regret. you and toji had your third argument already this week. his muffled voice tells you heâs still frustrated as he talks to you through the door, but you donât respond. youâre too angry.
his voice eventually fades, and the sound of his retreating footsteps tells you heâs given up. you curl under the covers, still fuming, until the warmth of the bed lulls you into a restless sleep.
â
hours later, you wake up with a dry throat and your chest still tight from the argument. slipping out of bed, you quietly make your way to the kitchen. the first thing you notice is tojiâs lunch bag on the counter, already zipped shut. you always pack his lunchesâan unspoken routine between you two, one small way you show your love.
after unzipping the bag, your heart sinksâ inside are a few hastily thrown snacks: a bag of chips, a granola bar, an apple. no sandwich, no leftovers, no real meal to sustain him through his grueling workday. itâs clear he didnât expect you to pack his lunch tonight.Â
he didnât want to burden you.
your chest tightens as tears prick at the corners of your eyes. the anger is still there, but it canât overpower the ache in your heart. toji might be stubborn, even infuriating, but you love him. even now, after everything.
you grab his lunch bag, emptying out the snacks with trembling hands. tonightâs leftovers sit untouched in the fridge. you plate the meal carefully, transferring it into containers and neatly tucking it into his lunch bag. you even add a few extra touches: a little pack of soy sauce, the cookies you baked recently, and some fruit.
finally, you grab a scrap of paper and a pen. for a moment, you hesitate, unsure what to write. then the words spill out, simple and raw:
iâm still mad at you. but i love you more than anything. please eat well today.Â
you fold the note and tuck it into the lunch bag before zipping it shut again. a deep sigh escapes your lips as you set it back on the counter, right where heâll see it in the morning.
the anger isnât gone, but neither is the love. you head back to bed, the heaviness in your chest lightened just a little. you hope you can both start again tomorrow.
â
in the early hours of the morning, toji stands at the bedroom door, his lunch bag clutched in one hand. heâs staring at it like itâs the most precious thing in the world, a faint crease between his brows. the way his jaw tightens and his shoulders drop says more than words ever could.
he doesnât deserve you, not after last night. thatâs the thought running through his head as he quietly enters the room and sets the bag quietly on the dresser. he only meant to come in to get his work clothes. when his eyes land on you, curled up in bed, your face soft and peaceful in sleep, he knows he canât leave just yet.
before he can stop himself, heâs moving toward you. his weight dips the mattress as he climbs in behind you, slow and deliberate, his body fitting against yours like it was made to. he wraps an arm around your waist, pulling you gently against his chest, his warmth seeping into you.
you stir slightly, murmuring incoherently, but you donât wake. toji presses his face into your hair, breathing you in. his lips lightly brush the back of your neck.
âiâm sorryâ he whispers, his voice low and rough, almost inaudible. âfor last night. for everythingâ.
his hand slides up to rest on your stomach, his thumb tracing lazy, absentminded circles over the fabric of your shirt. heâs not expecting forgivenessânot yetâbut he needs you to feel this, even in your sleep.
he kisses the curve of your shoulder, then the space just behind your ear. each kiss is soft, tender, filled with everything he struggles to say out loud. âi donât deserve youâ he murmurs against your skin, his voice breaking slightly. âbut iâm so damn lucky to have you anywayâ.
you shift again, a small sigh escaping your lips as you unconsciously press closer to him. toji tightens his hold, burying his face deeper into the crook of your neck. the world outside is waiting for him, but for now, all he cares about is thisâthis quiet moment with you in his arms, the scent of your shampoo, the rhythm of your breathing lulling him into a sense of peace he didnât know he needed.
âi love youâ he says softly, his words barely a whisper, meant more for himself than for you. âeven when i mess up. alwaysâ.
he stays there, holding you, until the weight in his chest feels a little lighter and the clock tells him he canât stay any longer. but as he finally pulls away, tucking the blanket carefully around you, he swears to himself that heâll make things right. you deserve nothing less.

the first time sukuna fell in love, he was but a boy of ten.Â
heâd been running barefoot by the riverside, clutching a half-eaten apple heâd swiped from a vendorâs stall.
there, among the reeds, he saw you.Â
a girl not much older than him, giggling as you played with a pair of bunnies. you smiled as one hopped into your lap, the sunlight catching in your hair like strands of spun gold.Â
for the first time, he felt a pang in his chest â an ache so foreign it startled him. he wanted to walk closer, to hear your laughter up close, but the distant shouts of palace guards reminded him of his plight.
with a scowl and a heavy heart, he turned and disappeared into the forest.
the second time sukuna fell in love, he was twenty-nine.Â
a hardened king by then, his hands stained with the blood of countless battles. he was unstoppable, a force of nature, until he met you on the battlefield.Â
you were the opposing leader, a woman who commanded armies with fire in her veins. your sword clashed against his with unyielding strength, your eyes defiant even as the tides of war turned against you. he admired the way you held your head high, even in defeat.Â
when his blade finally struck true, he found no triumph in his victory â only the hollow echo of your last breath and the unshakable image of your bravery.
the third time sukuna fell in love, he was sixty.Â
his body had grown stronger, his face lined with the scars of battles and time, yet untouched by age. at a temple celebrating his birthday â his subjects oblivious to his immortality â he spotted you again.Â
you knelt at the altar, your hands clasped in prayer, tears streaming down your face. your whispered words were for the departed, a plea for their peace, not for yourself. your unselfishness struck him like lightning. he lingered in the shadows, unable to tear his eyes away.Â
but once again, he left without speaking.
decades blurred into centuries, and sukuna continued to see you â again and again.Â
once, you were a nurse during a plague, tirelessly tending to the sick, your hands blistered but your resolve unwavering.Â
another time, you were a dancer, spinning under the moonlight with a joy so infectious that even his dark soul felt lighter.Â
then, you were a bandit, reckless and daring, stealing from the rich to feed the poor, your grin daring the world to challenge you.
each time, he loved you more fiercely, each time more convinced that you were the universeâs cruel joke on him â a fleeting glimpse of something he could never hold.
until today.
he hadnât expected anything remarkable when he walked into the cafĂ©, drawn by the rich aroma of coffee and the warmth of the afternoon sun. his mind was wandering, memories of his past lives and past loves swirling like a storm, when your voice shattered his reverie.
âwelcome in! what can i get for you?â
his heart stopped.
it was you.
this time, there was no battlefield, no temple, no grand act of heroism. you stood behind the counter in a simple apron, your hair tied back, a pen tucked behind your ear.
yet you were the most beautiful thing heâd ever seen.
âuh, sir?â you tilted your head, offering a polite smile when he didnât respond right away.
âcoffee,â he managed, his voice rough. âblack.â
you nodded, punching it into the register. âsure thing. anything else?â
âyour name,â he blurted out before he could stop himself.
your eyebrows lifted in surprise, but you laughed softly. âitâs y/n. do you need that on the cup?â
he stared at you, stunned by how casual you were, how close he was to everything heâd yearned for across lifetimes.Â
âno,â he said, his lips quirking into a faint smile. âi just wanted to know.â
you laughed again, handing him his coffee once it was ready. âwell, enjoy, mystery man.â
he lingered by the counter, holding the cup like it was an anchor to this moment. he didnât want to leave, didnât want to miss the chance heâd always let slip through his fingers.Â
this time, he swore, he wouldnât run away.
âhow long have you worked here?â he asked, trying to keep his tone light.
âa few months. why, thinking of applying?â you teased, wiping down the counter.
âno,â he said, his voice softer now. âjust wondering how long it took for the universe to bring me here.â
you blinked, caught off guard by the weight of his words. but before you could reply, the door jingled as another customer entered, pulling your attention away.
sukuna stepped back, letting you go about your work. for now.Â
heâd waited centuries to speak to you, to know you. he could wait a little longer. but this time, he wouldnât let you slip away.
not again.

can you see the stars in your dreams (and do they have a lot to say about me) - Part 18
Or: a secret Admirer AU
PART 1 || PART 2 || PART 3 || PART 4 || PART 5 || PART 6 || PART 7 || PART 8 || PART 9 || PART 10 || PART 11 || PART 1 || PART 13 || PART 14 || PART 15 || PART 16 || PART 17
Steve doesnât see much of Eddie for the next few weeks. Presumably there are still Dungeons and Dragons sessions and band practices, but Steve and Chrissy are no longer invited. Jeff flits back and forth between their two groups like a child of divorce, and Steve? He just misses Eddie.
Eddie, who even once Steve slinks back to his usual seat in the cafeteria for lunch, no longer gives his table top rants. He doesnât say anything at all, not where Steve might overhear him. But he still has Chrissy, and Robin, and Jeff, and thatâs enough.
In his free time, he writes aimless letters destined to never be read.
Steveâs moving onâgetting over it is a process, or so he tells Chrissy. He never shows her the letters, canât bear to see the pity on her face. He doesnât talk about it with Robin again eitherâjust hides his notebook away and gets on with his life.
Eddieâs just a boy, and itâs just a crush. Steve can move on, he always does. He tells Eddie as much in a letter heâll never read.
Everything changes when he opens his locker and something drops out. Itâs a bright yellow envelope, sloppy sunflowers drawn on the sides with black pen, and there, dead center, is his name written in a handwriting heâd recognize anywhere, is his name. Not Secret Admirer, not even Harrington, just Steve.
He shoves it into his backpack before Robin can close her own locker and notice.
It stays hidden there for the rest of the day as Steveâs heartbeat rabbits away in his chest, and his palms itch with sweat. He doesnât open it that night either, too afraid of what he might find in it. Itâs like that one story Robin had told him, where the guy goes crazy after burying someone under the floorboards or something? Itâs calling to him, no matter how hard he plugs his ears.
Steve doesnât get much sleep that night.
He still hasnât opened it by school the next day. Might not ever have opened it if he hadnât glanced toward Eddie during lunch and caught his eye. Eddieâs staring, gaze intense even with all the distance between them. But then, the weirdest thing happensâEddie smiles just a little, and finger waves at him, like theyâre friends.
Steve just stares, gobsmacked until Eddieâs entire face starts to turn a splotchy red and he looks down at his lunch table as if embarrassed.
âWhat was that?â Chrissy asks, looking behind her at whatever had caught Steveâs eye.
âI have to go,â Steve blurts, rushing out of the cafeteria before she can ask anymore questions.
His and Chrissyâs usual abandoned classroom has a teacher in it, so he ends up in his and Robinâs bathroom stall, this time alone. Still, he sits on the ground, leaving enough room for the ghost of Robin to have a seat, too.
He opens his backpack, zeroing in on the envelope instantlyâas if heâd ever, for a second forgotten about itâand finally pulls it out.
He traces the sunflowers on the paper, memorizing the grooves Eddieâs pen had made before finally turning it over and sliding his fingers beneath the seal to tear it open.
The paperâs thicker than heâs used to getting from Eddie, and itâs that same, bright yellow that doesnât fit Eddieâs aesthetic at all. But it fits Steveâs, and thatâs the thought that finally gets him to bring the letter closer to his face and begin to read.Â
  Steve,
I wanted to start this out by saying that Iâm sorryâitâs a phrase Iâm becoming alarmingly used to saying in recent weeks. To Jeff, to Gareth, and now to you. No matter how surprised I was, I had no right to say all that shit to you. And for that, Iâm sorry, okay? Really, truly sorry.
As Chrissy and Jeff pointed out once youâd left, I was a dick, and thereâs no excuse for that. And as my uncle told me when he was doing his disappointed parent shtick, I might have been projecting, just a tad.
Eddie Munson might be gayâwho knew?
So, Iâll hope you accept my sincerest apologies for how Iâve handled this whole thing, Steve. I canât imagine how it must have felt. Well, I can now, a bit. And itâs scary, right? But, I think itâs my turn to be brave. If I havenât already ruined any chance I might have had, maybe we can go on a date?
Iâll pick you up this Friday at your house, say around seven? If you donât answer the door, Iâll understand. Thatâll be my answer.
But I really, really, really hope you do.
  Yours, always, hopefully,
  Eddie
Steve stares down at it, flummoxed. He reads it again, and again, and again. When the words on the page donât change, he slips it delicately into the envelope, and goes to his next class, mind swirling away with the clouds.
âCan I drive you home?â Steve asks Jeff before he can climb into Chrissyâs car.
âUh, sure?â Jeff replies just as Chrissy cuts in with a near-frantic, âare you okay?â
Steve smiles tightly at her and says, âIâll call you tonight, okay? I just need to talk to Jeff.â
She bites her lip, looking even more worried than before, but all she says is, âIâll hold you to that.â
Jeff and Chrissy trade an indecipherable look and then Jeff dutifully follows Steve to his car and climbs in. Before he starts the engine, he pulls the envelope out of his pocket and hands it to Jeff.
âWhatâs this?â Jeff asks.
âRead it,â Steve replies, starting the car and pulling out of the parking lot so he doesnât have to see whatever expression crosses Jeffâs face as he reads.
Itâs silent for a few minutes aside from The Clash filtering quietly tinnily from the radio, but then Jeff says, âso, he finally did it.â
Steveâs fingers clench on the steering wheel at the vague answer to the question he hasnât yet asked. âIs it some sort of joke?â Steve grits out, still unable to look at Jeffâs face.
âNo, man,â Jeff replies, doing that same shoulder clasp thing heâd done last time heâd been in Steveâs car while he was upset. âHeâs just been working through some stuff.â
âSo heâsâŠâ he finally shifts his gaze toward Jeff, hoping to convey his question without having to say it aloud.
âSeems so,â Jeff replies.
And Steve shudders, all those same feelings heâd been working so hard to suppress bubbling back to the surface, the most dangerous of all being hope.
âAre you going to go?â Jeff asks, voice even enough not to show his opinion on the decision one way or another.
Steve swallows, throat dry. âI donât know.â
They donât talk for the rest of the drive, and when he calls Chrissy later that night, she asks the same thing.
âAre you going to go?â she asks breathlessly, like sheâs hanging on his every word.
Steve sighs. âHe said he might be gay, Chris. What if we go out and heâs wrong?â
Left unmentioned is the niggling voice in the back of his head still insisting that the whole thing is some sort of cruel prank to get back at him. Heâd lied, and strung him along, and gotten him hurt. No matter how many times Eddie apologizes, Steve knows heâs not really the one that should be.
âWhat if heâs right?â she asks.
Steve knows, deep down in his bones, that heâs going to go, just at the chance that Chrissyâs right, that Eddieâs right, that Jeffâs right. Steve desperately wants to be wrong.Â
***
Steve doesnât show any outward appearance of having received the letter. Eddie watches, obsessively trying to catch even the barest hint of what he thinks of the noteâ if, when he knocks on the Harringtonâs front door, heâll open it.
He keeps looking, and looking, and finally, blessedly, when Eddie looks, Steveâs looking back. Their eyes lock, and such a wave of relief courses through Eddie that he, like a fucking idiot, waves at him. Steve stares, mouth open, and does absolutely nothing back.
Eddie looks down at the table, whole body aflame with mortification, hair dangling messily into Dougâs mashed potatoes.
âDude,â Doug says, shoving Eddieâs shoulder, forcing him away from his precious lunch.
âYou good?â Jeff asks, leaning across the table to poke at Eddieâs bowed head like itâs potentially diseased roadkill he found on the side of the street.
âHe hates me!â Eddie whines, turning his head just enough to glance towards Steveâs table, spitting a chunk of hair out of his mouth.
Steveâs not there at all anymore.
âHarrington?â Gareth questions around the bite of apple lodged in his throat. âArenât you trying to steal his girlfriend?â
âOf course noânot anymore!â Eddie stutters, turning his head the other direction to glare at Gareth instead.
For his part, Gareth just looks down at him, supremely unimpressed. âUh huh,â he replies, keeping his voice quiet even when very obviously fed up. âIs this more secret bullshit youâre refusing to tell me?â
âItâs not my secret!â Eddie hisses, finally removing his head from the table so he can crouch on it instead, leaning over Gareth like a gargoyle. âAnd I promised!â
âBet you told Wayne,â Gareth mutters.
âOh my god, I told Wayne!â Eddie cries, dropping off the bench entirely to crawl under the table where he belongs. Itâs not like thereâs anyone in the room right now that he wants to impressâhe already scared Harrington off.
âDude,â is all Jeff says, peering under the table to look down at him judgmentally. âChrissy is going to kill you.â
Eddie clutches his hair hard enough that it hurts. âItâs Wayne! He doesnât count,â Eddie whines, âdoes he?â
Jeff snorts, kicking his foot out until the toe of his sneaker connects softly with Eddieâs kneecap. âHe doesnât count,â he starts, continuing before Eddieâs even slumped with relief, âto you.â
When Eddie slinks out from beneath the table, Steveâs spot is still empty, and Chrissyâs sitting there, glaring across the cafeteria at Eddie like she can just sense that he didnât keep his vow of secrecy.
God, girls are scary.
He avoids looking in her direction the rest of lunch, picking at his own potatoes and mushy peas just for something to do.
Steveâs not going to open the doorâhe knows that. But, even still, he wakes up early on Friday morning to sneak into Mrs. Johnsonâs yard to carefully cut a few of her sunflowers, ducking low enough that the bushes in front of her windows will obscure him.
When heâs done, heâs got five perfect sunflowers, tied together with the brown shoelace heâd stolen from a pair of Wayneâs old boots.
He leaves them in the kitchen, awkwardly propped into a bowl full of water since the Munsonâs arenât the kind of family to own a vase, or even a tall enough glass, apparently.
By the time Wayne gets home from the graveyard shift, Eddieâs elbow-deep in a trash bag in the back of his van. Wayne peers through the propped-open doors, eyebrows already raised as Eddie freezes, hand in the metaphorical cookie jar.
âWhatâre ya doing, boy?â Wayne asks.
Eddie stares, brain full of ants and TV static as he fumbles for an answer. What comes out of his mouth is âI asked Steve out!â
Wayneâs lips quirk up, and heâs smirking at Eddie as if to say, see? told ya, the smug bastard. But all he says is, âis that so?â drawling and easy like heâs not acting all-knowing and superior.
Eddie groans and takes his hand out of the garbage bag to run it through his hair and pull. âOr I left him a note?â he says, gut churning as Wayneâs face drops to his more customary frown. âOh my god, heâs not going to show!â
âThen whyâre you cleaning your van out?â
Eddie puffs up, glaring back at Wayne now. âWell Iâm going to show up, Wayne!â he replies, voice shrill. âIâm a man of my word.â
Wayne snorts when Eddie calls himself a man, just like he always does, but his lips are quirked up again, looking almost proud as he replies, âgood man,â with only a slightly mocking intonation. âWant some help?â
They get all the trash out in a matter of minutes. When it becomes clear that the vacuum cleaner canât reach no matter how close they park the van, Wayne comes back out with the broom from the kitchen and they sweep as much debris as they can from inside before Eddie steals the comforter from his own bed and lays it across the back carpet, masking the weird stains.
Wayne finishes it off with a spritz of his own rarely-used cologne, covering up any remaining funky smells. Even so, Eddie elects to leave the windows rolled down to air it out for as long as possible.
When Wayne notices his commandeered shoelace around the sunflowers, he doesnât say a thing.
Then, heâs forced to go to school, wiling away the hours until heâs standing in front of the Harringtonâs front door, boots shined for the first time in his life, sunflowers clutched in shaking hands, van parked neatly behind him, hair brushed into submission. Heâd even used his fancy conditioner, thoughts of that half-remembered first letter waxing poetic about his hair fueling his action.Â
All for a boy who wonât answer the door.
But, Eddieâs a man of his word, so he knocks.
And waits.
And waits.
And waits.
He waits such a long time that he jumps when the door opens, breath catching as he looks at Steve Harrington, face-to-face for the first time since that disastrous day in his living room. His mostly-healed eye aches with remembered pain, his ribs cold with the absence of Steveâs hands.
Heâs missed looking at him.
Steveâs in light-wash jeans, hair perfectly coiffed, wearing a green sweater that makes the gold in his eyes pop, even in the dim light from the Harringtonâs porch light. He looks good, put together enough for a first date, casual enough to just be his everyday clothes.
Eddieâs heartbeat flickers with something that feels alarmingly like hope.
âUh, hey,â Eddie says, finally breaking the awkward silence.
He smiles, trying to be charming, but heâs never done this before, doesnât know how to contort his face. He holds out the sunflowers, arm awkwardly extending, hoping desperately that his offering will be accepted.
Steve stares down at them, hand still clutching the door like heâs one second away from slamming it closed in Eddieâs face. Eddie holds his breath, heartbeat ratcheting up from the oxygen deprivation.
Steve reaches out, his fingers brushing Eddieâs as he tries to take the flowers from him. Eddieâs fingers stay clenched around the stems for a second too long, hand following the flowers trajectory toward Steveâs own chest until Eddie forces his hand open and lets it drop uncomfortably back to his side.
Steve stares down at them, leaning down to take a sniff. Eddie wincesâthey donât smell like much, just dirt and nebulous green things. But Steve smiles, just a tiny, little thing that hits Eddieâs body like electroshock therapy.
âThank you.â Steve says quietly, not looking away from the sunflowers as he asks, âcome inside while I put them in some water?â
Steve swings the door open wider, and Eddie slides past him and into the Harringtonâs house. As Steve wanders further inside, Eddie stands in the entranceâfoyer?âfeeling remarkably out of place. Even from here, he can see enough negative space to house twenty-odd people, a vaulted ceiling, and is that a chandelier? Eddie doesnât step a toe off the mat beneath his feet, afraid his very presence will stain the perfect white interior.
He shouldnât be here. Places like this arenât for the Munsonâs of the world. Theyâre for royalty, kings and queens, and all the upper crust that spits down on the rest of them. But when Steve comes back, sans sunflowers, heâs smiling just a little, tromping his own shoes over the white carpet like he doesnât give a shit.
Maybe he doesnât belong here either. Maybe itâs possible to carve out a space for him in the Munsonâs shitty trailer, however small.
âAlright, Munson,â he says, still smiling just this side of awkward. âWhatâre we doing?â
As Eddie holds Steve Harringtonâs own front door open for him to step through, Eddieâs mindâs buzzing with maybes.
***
Eddieâs van smells like mothballs and cologne, and the radioâs quietly playing the sort of generic pop music Steve usually mumbles along to on his way to school. But, Eddieâs fingers are twitching against the wheel, and he hasnât said a word since theyâd climbed in, so Steve sits on his own hands and keeps his mouth shut.
The longer the silence drags on, the more Steve regrets ever opening the door at all. Eddie pulls into Hawkinsâ drive-in, and buys their tickets and two bags of popcorn. Steveâs hand clenches in his lap, Eddieâs words to Chrissy all that time ago running through his headâwe can go to the drive-in and hold hands the whole time.
âI hope this is okay?â Eddie says, finally breaking the silence as he spins the dial to the correct channel to catch the movie. âI wasnât sure if you liked horror, but this is all thatâs playing this weekend, and Iâve been wanting to watch it soââ
âItâs fine,â Steve replies, and it is.
Heâs never been much for horror beyond putting it on for dates so he has a built-in excuse to reach out. But, heâs not squeamish, and maybe those same thoughts are running through Eddieâs head: an excuse to reach out and touch.
But, as the title card flashes SLEEPAWAY CAMP in big, boxy font, all Eddie does is reach into his popcorn bag and stuff a handful into his mouth. Steve follows suit, the buttery kernels turning to ash on his tongue.
He watches with little enthusiasm as the stupid teenagers on screen fool around and get torn apart. Eddie makes little comments throughout the movie, but thereâs nothing Steve can grasp onto.
What does one say to, âwhoa, blood fountain,â or âgod, that kidâs a douche,â or, âthey shouldâve killed him sooner.â
Steve still tries, humming and nodding along and verbalizing his own agreements. Eddie never responds, just keeps stuffing his mouth with popcorn until the bagâs empty. Steve stares down at his own mostly-full bag and wonders if the separate bags were just to make sure they didnât accidentally brush hands.Â
He hands his own popcorn over, and Eddie grabs it twitchily, muttering a âthanks, dude,â without really looking at Steve at all.
Steve just wants to go home, crawl into his own bed, and forget this whole thing ever happened.
But he just sits there, silent as the movie plays on. He doesnât understand the end, but he missed so much of the beginning and middle that he barely questions it.
When itâs over, Eddie turns the dial back to that same, nondescript station that doesnât fit him at all, fingers clenching hard enough on the wheel that Steve can hear it creak under the strain. Steve turns away, to look out the window, throat clogged up with feelings he doesnât want to think about.
The longer this date drags on, the more excruciatingly clear it becomes that whatever is driving Eddie to this, itâs not him returning Steveâs feelings. This isnât how dates go when youâre excited about them, thereâs nothing clicking into placeâit doesnât even seem like Eddieâs trying.
He feels small, and sad, and every minute that passes with Eddie saying absolutely nothing at all only makes Steve feel more like a charity case that Eddieâs taken pity on.Â
He never should have listened to Chrissy and Jeffâs encouragement. Theyâd both been so hopeful that heâd caved, but theyâre not the ones stuck in the devastatingly uncomfortable moment. Itâs just him and Eddie, living with the fact that Steveâs got a crush on a boy that can never like him back.
Thereâs no coming back from this, no matter how nice Eddie tries to be about it. Because he is nice, no matter how heâs been acting the past few weeks.
Steveâs the problemâalways has been, always will be.
So, he stews in the silence, watching the same familiar buildings pass him by like itâs the last time heâll ever see them. And maybe it will be, if Eddie decides to be not so nice. This was all so catastrophically, unbelievably stupid from that very first letter all the way to this moment, stuck in a van with a boy that wonât even look at him.Â
Heâs so lost in thought that he doesnât realize theyâre going the wrong way until Eddieâs pulling into a familiar clearing in the quarry. His headlights illuminate the skid marks Steveâs car had made in the dirt when heâd screeched to a halt to stop Jason Carver from rearranging his face.
Eddie slides into park much more levelly and cuts the engine. The quiet is absolute, made worse by the darkness surrounding them. Steve can hear the crinkle of Eddie shifting on his seat, the sound of his throat as he gulps like heâs about to go off to war.
âI thoughtââ Eddie starts before petering off as his voice breaks. Steve listens to him take a few shuddering breaths before starting again. âI thought we could star gaze?â
Steve sighs, slumping back into his seat, so unbelievably tired. âEddieââ
âUnless you donât want to!â Eddie rushes out. âI just thoughtâŠâ
Steve would kill to know what heâs thinking, but whatever it is, Eddie doesnât pick up his trailing sentence, just leaves it hanging in the silence between them. Steve sighs again, reaching up to pinch the bridge of his nose, desperate to keep an even keel.
âLook, Eddieâ Steve starts, turning toward Eddie. He can see the silhouette of his frame hunched over in the driverâs seat, but his face is a black void for Steve to project upon. It makes him brave. âYou donât have to do this. You, like, tried it out, right? And it didnât work out.â
âSteveââ
âItâs fine, Eddie,â Steve cuts in, exhausted. âYou can just drop me off at home, and we can go our separate ways.â
Eddie makes a sound like a strangled cat, and then his silhouette lunges across the distance between their seats. Steve jerks back, head banging painfully into the window as Eddieâs mouth mashes against his, more teeth than lips.
PART 19
Shoutout, once again, to my beta reader and friend @queenie-ofthe-void for this one!!! I struggled for weeks on the date, and then they said, "what if you just make it as awkward as possible," and then I wrote this entire date in a day. Truly a muse for me <3<3<3

Omg itâs such a good idea. I have a lot, if it is possible then could you make 71, 74 and 95. with Heeseung. You can do separate or take one or two away.đ
you can't believe how bad your luck is.
the faceless, nameless person you've been flirting with on tindr just had to be your best friend's older brother. who was very obviously off limits to you and has been since the moment you and her became friends. you've been mindlessly and carelessly flirting with this stranger for weeks now, loving the idea of not knowing who was behind the screen.
but tonight, you're over at your friend's house watching a movie with her and her brother heeseung. you and your friend are on a couch on one side of the room while heeseung lays on the other directly across from you two. the movie is boring, your friend fell asleep 30 minutes ago, so you decided to text your mystery man.
except, as soon as you'd send a text, heeseung's phone would buzz. and as soon as heeseung would send a text, your phone would buzz.
"weird," you laugh nervously. heeseung is staring at you with furrowed brows, glancing back and forth between you and his phone. without a word, he lifts his phone up to his ear and, to your dismay, your phone starts ringing with the mystery man's contact info displaying on your phone.
hands trembling, you answer the phone with a meek, "hello?"
"no...no no no," heeseung groans with a nervous laugh. tossing his phone to the end of the couch, his hands come up in a prayer pose against his lips, his elbows resting on his knees as he leans forward.
your eyes are wide with horror and embarrassment. so, you do the only thing your brain is yelling at you to do: run.
quickly standing up, you clutch your phone to your chest and bolt towards the door, struggling to get your shoes on your feet with how shaky your hands are.
"y/n! wait!" heeseung calls after you, voice still soft enough to not wake his sister. he jumps over the back of the couch and blocks you from the door.
"heeseung, we can't-" you move to try to push past him, but instead he wraps his arms around you and holds you tightly. body stiffening, you let heeseung hug you, one of his hands pushing past your hair to cradle your head.
"thank god it's you," he whispers into your hair.
"hee?" your voice cracks, eyes wide with surprise at his confession. heeseung moves his hands to your shoulders and leans back to get a good look at you. his brown eyes are soft as he looks over your features in a way you've never seen him look at you before. if only you knew this is exactly how he looked at you as soon as your back was turned to him.
heeseung cups your cheek in his hand, his thumb brushing against your skin gently, "i don't think i've ever wanted someone more."
he leans in slightly, stopping just before your lips touch to make sure that you're okay with this. finally, you snap out of the shock that had your body frozen, and wrap your arms around his neck, meeting him the rest of the way and press your lips to his.
as soon as your lips connect, a hunger errupts between you; hands roam over one another, the kiss quickly getting sloppy as you feverishly try to consume one another.
an unexpected moan escapes your lips and gets lost tangled on heeseung's tongue when he rolls his hips against your crotch, letting you feel exactly what you've been doing to him. he pulls back after hearing you, realizing his sister is still asleep on the couch.
"oh, the things i'd do to you if we were along right now..." he groans, leaning his head against the door. he grabs one of your hands, intertwining your fingers and smiling softly at you. "but for now i should get you back home."
"i'm supposed to stay the night here, remember? i think someone will be a little upset if they wake up and i'm not here."
"yeah, me." heeseung pouts before letting out a soft laugh. "well, if you can't sleep, you know where to find me."
"maybe you can text me those things you would do to me. you know, if we were alone?" you smirk and glance down at the very obvious bulge in his gray sweatpants.
heeseung pulls you back to his body, one hand roaming down to your ass, grasping the flesh harshly while he leaves open mouth kisses against your neck.
"or maybe i can just show you anyways. what do you say? feeling brave?"

Your son's giggles were music to your ears. You smiled in adoration at his uncle JJ chasing him through the yard, his little toddler legs moving as fast as they could. He loved his uncle JJ. And his other aunts and uncles too. After all the drama with Rafe, he and the other Pogues stepped in, becoming your village and boy are you glad you had them. You wouldnât have been able to do it without them.Â
Rafe continued the story, the baby wasnât his and you were never in a relationship. However, as time has passed, people are starting to get suspicious, especially as your son grows because heâs the spitting image of Rafe. It is getting to the point, Rafe truly canât deny him.Â
âCome on boys, let's get to the beach before it gets crowded,â You call out to JJ and Jackson; the other Pogues loading up in the Twinkie. You and JJ worked hard, going in half on a car that JJ rebuilt to make it drivable. JJ knew the Twinkie wouldnât be a safe vehicle to transport his tiny nephew and made it his mission to find you something sustainable and reliable.Â
âMama!â Jackson squeals as he nears, jumping into your arms.Â
You laugh and kiss his head before placing him in his carseat and securing him. âReady to go to the beach?âÂ
He nods with a big grin; Rafeâs smile. The smile youâd fell in love with. You canât deny it doesnât hurt a little when you look at your son, because staring back is Rafe and all the hurt that came with him. But you wouldnât trade Jackson for anything in the world. Heâd brought light into your life and filled your broken heart. Jackson is so smart and intelligent, even at only 3 years old. Heâs got a sweet and loving personality and he loves when he can make you laugh. And Rafe is missing it all, time he will never get back.
~
After settling at a spot on the beach, you all unpacked, setting the chairs and umbrella up. Pope dropping the cooler under the umbrella with a grunt, âjeez what the hell did you guys pack in that thing.âÂ
Jackson started tugging you toward the water, âcome mama!âÂ
âNo baby hold on, let's put sunscreen on first. Then you can get in the water.âÂ
He pouts but stops tugging, letting you lather him in the sunscreen.Â
âOnce mama is finished me and you can go check out those waves!â Â JJ holds his fist to Jackson, who returns with a fist bump.Â
âAlright youâre finished!â You kiss him on the head and he takes off toward the water with JJ. JJ picks him up and wades into the water with him. Jackson laughing hysterically as the waves crash against them.Â
âbeer?â Kie asks, as you take a seat in the beach chair next to her.Â
"Yes thank you,â you sigh, taking a sip, âI love that the beach is nearly empty-âÂ
Loud music catches you and the other Pogues attention, watching as a couple trucks and a jeep drive thru the sand behind you. You recognized Topperâs jeep and groaned.Â
âPlease keep driving..â Sarah pleads.Â
âAnywhere but here.â Kie adds.Â
âOf course.â John B says as they stop a little ways down the beach, âThis entire beach and they pick that spot?âÂ
You take a sip of your beer, nearly choking on it as you see someone hop out of the dark blue truck. Rafe.Â
âShit.â Kie mumbles.Â
He rounds the truck and opens the passenger side, another person gets out of the truck and itâs Sofia.Â
Sarah places a gentle hand on your arm, âyou gonna be ok?âÂ
You give her a reassuring smile and nod, âYeah, yeah. Iâll be fine.â You gaze out at the ocean, JJ has noticed the kooks and he looks over at you, a look of concern on his face. You nod at him, letting him know youâre okay. He continues to play with Jackson, holding his hand as he stands with his toes in the sand, jumping over the waves as they break against the beach.Â
âWeâre both adults here. Maybe me more than him but itâs ok.â You glance between Sarah and Kie, âHeâs living his best life - while I raise our son that he denies is his.âÂ
John B squeezes your shoulders, âAnd youâre doing a damn good job at it too.âÂ
The rest of the Pogues pipe in, âHell ya you are,â âYouâre killing it.âÂ
âThanks you guys,â Your eyes dance between the Pogues, âI couldnât have done it without you guys,â Your eyes grow teary, âOk okay stop you guys are gonna make me cry,â You shake your hands out, wiping your face, âenough sappy talk. Letâs enjoy our beach day!âÂ
~Â
Rafe watches you and the Pogues playing with Jackson by the water, taking a sip of his beer.Â
Sofia comes up beside him, wrapping her arm around his waist, âHer son is cute,â She says with a smile, looking up at him.Â
He hums in response, not pulling his eyes from you and Jackson. He knew now, there was no denying Jackson. He looked just like him. Topper flat out asked the other day if Jackson was his.Â
âHe looks just like you man.âÂ
Rafe shrugged, âI donât see it. Heâs not mine though. She was screwing everyone on the island. Thereâs no telling who the father is.â He tried to keep up with the lie, but Topper wasnât stupid. Topper knew you werenât sleeping around, youâd never been like that. But he let him continue the lie, dropping the topic completely.Â
âI bet our kids will be cute.âÂ
Now that caught his attention. He snaps his head toward her, âWhat?âÂ
Sofia smiles, âWhen we have kids, I bet they will be cute.â Sheâs in dreamland, wondering what life with Rafe Cameron would be like. Getting married, having a big house on the island, having kids etc etc. Little did she know, Rafe wasnât planning a future with her.Â
He nod and takes another sip of his beer, deciding not to say anything.Â
âJackson wait-âÂ
Rafe turns in time to see a ball rolling his way and Jackson chasing it. You werenât too far behind.Â
Rafe bends down and picks up the ball, staying at Jacksonâs level as he approaches. Jackson is hesitant to take it.Â
âJackson, you canât just run off-âÂ
Rafe feels like heâs staring at a mirror. Topperâs right, he looks just like him. The little boys eyes are innocent and heâs overcome with a feeling he canât describe. He feels protective of the small boy in front of him, like a father would. A surge of love flowing through him. How could anyone leave this boy without a dad? How could he have abandoned his son? Something changed the moment he looked into Jacksonâs eyes.
âHere you go, buddy,â Rafe holds the ball out to him with a smile.Â
Jackson hesitantly takes it, looking up at you, with a small pout on his lips, âSorry mama, my ball.âÂ
Rafe slowly stands, the two of you coming face to face for the first time since you told him you were pregnant.Â
âItâs ok baby, you just canât run off like that.â You run your fingers through his hair. You will yourself to meet Rafeâs eyes, âSorry about that, weâll get out of your way.âÂ
âItâs ok.â Rafe canât seem to tear his eyes away from you. Is it possible to be more beautiful? Motherhood treated you well and heâs overwhelmed with pride to know you did it all on your own because of his stupid decision. His stupid immature decision.Â
Your eyes glance to Sofia, who steps up next to Rafe, pulling him from his trance, âyour son.. heâs adorable.âÂ
You give her a small smile, âThank you.âÂ
Rafe is mesmerized by you. He doesnât know whatâs over come him but the feelings that he buried deep inside have started bubbling to the surface.Â
âJackson, you know youâre not suppose to talk to strangers.â JJ takes a dig at Rafe as he approaches, scooping up Jackson in his arms.Â
Rafeâs jaw clenches at JJâs comment. Stranger. Heâs no stranger. Heâs his father- but he catches himself. JJâs right. He truly is a stranger to him and he has no right to call himself his father.Â
Jackson wraps his tiny arms around JJâs neck, snuggling into his shoulder. That stirs some jealousy within Rafe. He should be the one hugging his son and playing ball with him on the beach. He should be the one there, the three of you as a family.Â
âWe better get back. Sorry for bothering you guys.â You apologized, following JJ back to the rest of the pogues.Â
Rafe watches you walk away, his heart aching. He should have told you the truth. And he shouldnât have lied all these years about Jackson.Â
 ~Â
JJ holds Jackson with one arm and wraps his other around your shoulders, âyou ok?âÂ
You nod, âIâm good. You shouldnât have made the comment you didâÂ
JJ rolls his eyes, âitâs not like it wasnât true. Heâs a stranger.âÂ
You shrug, âI know but-âÂ
âNo buts. Heâs a stranger to Jackson. Even if he shares DNA with him.â He snaps back.Â
It was a touchy subject with JJ and you knew the conversation was over. JJ was protective over you and he held a huge grudge against Rafe for abandoning the two of you. Especially Jackson. He wanted Jackson to have a dad, something you and him didnât have growing up.Â
~Â
Rafe laid in bed that night with you and Jackson on his mind. He couldnât sleep, tossing and turning the entire night. Sofia is sound asleep next to him. He squints, peering to check the time on the clock, 6:37 am. He sighs running a hand over his face before quietly getting out of bed and toward the shower. He wanted to see you again and talk. He needed to talk to you.Â
âRafe?â Sofiaâs sleepy voice calls out to him, hands feeling his spot on the bed.Â
Rafe comes to her side, showered and dressed, kisses her forehead. âEarly meeting. Be back later.âÂ
She hums and turns back over, falling back asleep.Â
~Â
He pulls up to the Maybank house a little while later. Glancing over in the passenger seat, coffee for you and him. He hopes you still liked your coffee with 2 creams and 2 sugars. He also picked up some muffins and donuts, unsure what Jackson would like.Â
He was nervous, gripping the steering wheel. Maybe he shouldnât do this. He can still turn around and go home. You donât even know heâs here yet.Â
He shakes his head, no thereâs no talking him out of this. He needs to have this talk. Heâs 2 years two late. Technically almost 3 years.Â
Well shit thereâs no turning around now cause here you come walking toward his truck. He takes a deep breath, now or never.Â
He steps out of the truck, âmorning.â
âWhat the hell are you doing here?â You ask tightening your robe around you, âitâs nearly 7:30 in the morning.âÂ
âBrought coffee and breakfast.â He says, reaching inside to grab the coffee and bag. âI was hoping we could talk?âÂ
âNow you want to talk? Youâre a couple years too late Rafe.â Youâre eyeing the coffee, yearning for your boost of caffeine.Â
He sighs, âI know, I have no right to show up here unannounced either but, after seeing you guys yesterday I couldnât stop thinking about you.â He offers the coffee, âtwo cream and two sugar?âÂ
You nod, slowly reaching to take the coffee, âyou still remember?â You ask, surprised. Even after all these years he remembered? You felt a soft tug on your heart. No y/n. You tell yourself, smooshing those feelings back down. It was not the time to go soft.Â
He shrugs, also handing you the bag of muffins and donuts, âItâs not the hardest coffee order, but yes I still remember. Thereâs muffins and donuts in there, I wasnât sure-â He scratches the back of his neck, growing uncomfortable, âI wasnât sure what Jackson liked.âÂ
âHeâs a fan of both. He pretty much will eat anything,â You turn and head for the porch, âEveryone is still asleep, let me put this inside and we can go to the dock.âÂ
Rafe nods and takes the time to check out what all you two have done with the place. It was different than when he was here last, new dock and boathouse, the landscaping had been cleaned up and the house actually looked livable. Jacksonâs toys were strewed around the grass.Â
âready?â You ask, heading down toward the dock, Rafe following. You two take a seat on the bench at the end of the dock.Â
âSo, now that Jackson is older, people are starting to notice how much he looks just like you. You canât keep up with whatever lie youâve been spreading. Are you here to try and make me come up with an excuse for where his father is? So, you can go about your life?â You ask, bitterly.Â
âNo, thatâs not why Iâm here. Iâm here to step up and apologize. And explain my immature behavior.â He stands back up, pacing the dock in front of you. His nerves are getting the best of him. He had this speech all planned out but sitting in front of you, heâs forgot what to say. âI wasnât in the right head space. And I for sure wasnât ready to be a father. You saw what I was like. I was drinking, partying. Hell, I was even doing coke at that point.âÂ
You sit quietly, sipping your coffee as you listen to him. It wasnât anything you didn't know, to tell you the truth. You also were doing all those things at the time, minus the coke, but as soon as you found out you were pregnant, youâd stepped up and knew all of that had to come to an end. You were going to be a mother.Â
âI was doing the same things, Rafe. I donât see that being an excuse. I stepped up when I needed to because I had too. It was something you needed to do as well, but you werenât ready to give up that life yet. You werenât ready to give up your lifestyle to become a father.âÂ
âI know. and thatâs the truth, I didnât want to give up my partying lifestyle for a kid. I was also scared what people would think of me, getting a girl from the cut pregnant. No one even knew we were dating-âÂ
âSo you were ashamed of me? Youâre really not doing yourself any favors right now-â You scoffed, standing, âI get it, Rafe. It would have been the worst thing for a kook to get a pogue pregnant. People would have judged you and never looked at you the same-â You turn to head back toward the house. âIâm so tired of this kook vs pogue bullshit.âÂ
âBaby-â He gently grabs your arm to stop you, letting the pet name slip, âI mean y/n- Thatâs not what I was trying to say. Fuck, this is not how I wanted this to go. Please, Iâm trying to apologize. I was an immature kid back then and Iâm here now to apologize, make things right and take responsibility.âÂ
âRafe,â you sigh, âweâre doing fine right now. Without having you in our lives. Weâve made it work. Itâs been 3 years, just let it go. Iâll keep on with the lie, you can continue to live your life how you want. Get married, have other kids. Whatever you want to do.âÂ
âI donât want to do that, y/n. Thatâs what Iâm here for. I want to be apart of Jacksonâs life. A part of your life.â His hand has slipped down from your arm to your hand, his thumb subconsciously caressing your skin. âPlease give me another chance. Iâve changed. I promise Iâm not the man I was before. My dad has made me a manager at his company. I have a steady job, a house of my own. Iâm not the immature teenager I was before.â His eyes are pleading for another chance to do the right thing.
You donât know how to describe it as you stare into Rafeâs eyes, that they look the same as they did when you fell in love with him, but have a different softness to them. Heâs genuine. But you donât know if you can trust him. He broke you and you werenât ready to open those doors again. You werenât ready to open yourself back to him. You had Jackson to think about now and had to take his feeling into account. Could you trust Rafe?Â
âWhat about Sofia? What does she think of all this?â You remove your hand from his, crossing your arms over your chest. âShe seems like a great girl.âÂ
âIf Iâm honest with you, I havenât talked to her about it. Me and her arenât serious.âÂ
âMaybe you should go home and talk things over with her. I canât make a decision now. I need time to think it over.âÂ
His shoulders sag in defeat, but he ultimately nods, âTake all the time you need.. Iâll be here waiting.âÂ
~Â
Rafe left your house and immediately went to Tannyhill, hoping he could catch his dad before leaving for his meeting at 11. âMorning Rose,â He greets as he enters the kitchen, Rose is drinking coffee at the island, Wheezie next to her. He kisses Wheezie on the head, âWheezie,âÂ
âMorning,â They say in unison.Â
âIs Dad still here?âÂ
âIn his office,â Rose nods, âHe had a couple things to finish before the meeting.âÂ
âThanks,â Rafe heads toward his office, knocking, âDad?âÂ
âCome in,â Ward calls out, âMorning Rafe, you ready for the big meeting this morning?âÂ
âReady. But I was hoping to talk to you about something.â He takes a seat across from Wardâs desk. Ward can tell there is something on his sonâs mind and closes his laptop to give his full attention.Â
âWhatâs going on?âÂ
Rafe takes a deep breath, clasping his hands together to stop them from shaking, âYou know y/n Maybank?âÂ
âYes-â Ward says, leaning forward a little, âWhat about her?âÂ
âMe and her dated a few years ago.â
âMmhmm.â ward nods, âWhat about it?âÂ
Rafe takes another deep shaky breath. Ward begins to think about it, remembering she had a son. Who was about 3-Â
âThe boy- Jackson. Heâs yours?â Ward asks in disbelief.Â
Rafe gives a short nod, âI fucked up.âÂ
Ward slowly sits back in his chair, taking it all in. Old Ward would have blown up, told Rafe how stupid could he have been. âHow long have you known?â He asks.Â
âSince she told me she was pregnant.â He canât help but get teary eyed, still on edge as he waits for his dad to blow up on him. âI told you I fucked up.âÂ
Ward mulls over this new and shocking information. âWhy wouldnât you say anything?â Ward asks.Â
âI was terrified. Immature. I didnât want to be a dad. I was partying all the time and wasnât ready to give it up and be a dad.â He tells him honestly, âIt was a shitty decision and I regret it.âÂ
âYou should have took responsibility son.â He sighs, âBut I know you werenât in the right head space.â He stands and rounds his large desk, taking the seat next to his son, âRehab changed you for the better.âÂ
Rafe nods, âIâm trying to fix things. I want to be in his life. I went to her this morning and we talked. Sheâs hesitant to give me a chance.âÂ
âShe has every right to be hesitant.â Ward defends, you, âThatâs her son.âÂ
âHeâs mine too,â Rafe says, but sighs, âBut youâre right. It is her son. Iâve given her no reason to trust me.âÂ
Ward nods, âTime will give her that. Youâve done the hardest part. Admitted you were wrong and apologized.â He squeezes Rafeâs shoulder, âItâs time for you to take responsibility.âÂ
Rafe nods in response, âIâm sorry dad. I should have told you the truth.âÂ
Ward agrees. He gives Rafe a small smile, âSo I have a grandson, huh?âÂ
~Â
Rafe was in agony. It had been a week since he talked to you. You hadnât tried reaching out yet and he was starting to get worried that you werenât going to give him a second chance. Heâd called it quits with Sofia, who didnât take it easily, but she admitted she knew sheâd seen a change in him after the beach day. And had admitted sheâd wondered about Jackson. She saw the resemblance and the way Rafe had looked at you. He was still in love with you.Â
Youâd told the Pogues that morning over breakfast, JJ had flipped.Â
âLike hell he deserves another chance!âÂ
âJJ, you donât get to make the decision, I do.âÂ
JJ had left with a slam of the front door. He come back a couple hours later, calm and agreed. It wasnât his place, but he still didnât trust him. He didnât want to see you hurt again.Â
JJ had left with a slam of the front door. He come back a couple hours later, calm and agreed that it wasnât his place, but he still didnât trust him. He didnât want to see you hurt again.Â
~
Your heart is pounding against your chest as you take the stairs up to Rafeâs front door. You looked around the outside of the house. It was a nice, expensive house on the water. Two story on stilts as most houses near water are built.Â
His truck was parked under the house so you knew he was home.Â
You took a deep breath and knocked on the door.Â
Rafe was surprised to see you at his front door. It had been a week and he was beginning to wonder if you were even gonna make a decision. The longer it took the more he felt he wasnât going to get his second chance.Â
âHey,âÂ
âHey,â you point inside, âcan I come in so we can talk?âÂ
âYeah yeah of course.â He opens the door wider for you to enter, closing it behind you.Â
The place was clean and sleek. It looked like a bachelor pad.Â
âYou want anything to drink? Iâve got water, juice, a beer..â he chuckles softly, motioning to the kitchen.Â
You follow him into the kitchen, âWater is fine,â You lay your purse in the chair at the island. âIâm gonna be honest, Iâm nervous.â
He fixes you a glass of water and you take a chance to look around the room.Â
âno need to be nervous,â
You see in the corner of the living room thereâs a small kids battery powered jeep and a couple other shopping bags around it.Â
He sees you have noticed the stuff and slides the water to you, âmy dad.. he uh he bought it for Jackson and Rose picked up a few things for him too.âÂ
âThatsâs very sweet of them. But wait, you told your dad?â Youâre surprised and look to him, âI thought you hated him.. you guys didnât have a great relationship.âÂ
âWe patched things up after I got back from rehab.âÂ
âRehab?â You ask shocked, âI didnât know, when did you go to rehab?âÂ
He clears his throat, âfew months after we broke up. Or I broke things off. Ward found me half dead on some laced coke I bought and when I woke up he made me go to rehab. Best decision I could have made.âÂ
âThatâs awesome, Rafe. Im happy for you. I know having a better relationship with your dad was what you always talked about wanting.â You give him a soft smile.Â
âYeah yeah itâs good now.â He heads toward the back deck overlooking the water and you follow taking in the view but Rafe, heâs watching you, taking you in.Â
You catch him watching you and canât help but blush, âwhy are you looking at me like that?âÂ
Now he blushes, embarrassed heâd been caught, âsorry, we can sit here to talk.â He takes a seat on the couch and you take a seat on the other side.Â
You take a deep breath, âIâve done a lot of thinking over this.âÂ
He nods, hands clasped together he places his elbows on his thighs leaning closer, âyeah?âÂ
You look at him, âWeâll start out easy and slow. Heâs not to know youâre his dad yet. I want him to be comfortable with you. He doesnât truly understand the whole dad thing either, so I donât want to confuse him. We call all hang out together first and then if I feel comfortable enough maybe you can take him on your own for a couple hours. I donât trust you yet, Rafe. You broke that trust and I need time. But I believe everyone deserves a second chance. And I want Jackson to grow up with a dad who loves him. Something JJ and I didnât have growing up.âÂ
He resists every muscle in his body not to hug you. âI can be that. I will be that.âÂ
He reaches over and you let him take your hand, âthank you for this.â He gives it a gentle squeeze, âyou donât know how much this chance means to me.â
~Â
A couple days later you and Jackson meet Rafe at his house, planning to spend the day there. Rafe had asked you a million questions about Jackson; his likes, dislikes, what toys he liked to play with, what he liked to do. He wanted to know as much as he could so he could be prepared for today.Â
âHey!â Rafe greets at the door, âWhatâs up little man?âÂ
Jacksonâs shy at first and he peeks out from your shoulder at Rafe, muttering a quiet, âHi.âÂ
âHeâs a little shy. And he just woke up from a nap.â you follow Rafe inside and he helps to take the bag off your shoulders.Â
âItâs all good. I understand.â He nervously wipes his hands on his shorts, âI got his favorite foods. The kitchen is stocked and-âÂ
âToys!â Jackson gasps, wiggling out of your arms and immediately taking off toward the pile of toys. The jeep Ward bought him was there and a couple other new toys Rafe picked up. Â
âCan I play?â Jackson asks, his eyes lighting up.Â
âTheyâre yours! You can play with them all. After lunch we can take that jeep outside and you can ride around the yard.â Rafe says, taking a seat on the couch to watch him.Â
âYou didnât have to get all these...â You sit next to Rafe.Â
Rafe shrugs, âI know but he didnât have anything here. I want him to be comfortable.â He slips off the couch and sits in the floor next to Jackson, helping him open the toys. Rafe teaches him how to play with a couple of them, showing him how they work.Â
You couldnât believe the change in Rafe. It was like a different man sitting in the floor. And the resemblance between the two was uncanny. Both had the same look of concentration on their face and you laughed softly to yourself after snapping a picture. Sarah had asked how it was going, so you sent her the picture. She was happy to know her brother was stepping up and also made a comment about their same look of concentration.Â
As you stared at Rafe, a new feeling was starting to take form. A longing for something more and hope that maybe you could get your happy ever after and your dream of a family to become a reality.

treasure box | percy jackson
አpercy jackson x reader አwarnings: none! አwc: 757
âHurry, get into my room before my mom sees you and starts talking your ear off!â She giggled as Percy held her hand, gently pulling her after him.
They stepped into his room, and she couldnât help but smile as her gaze landed on the familiar blue walls, the car posters, and the soft gray comforter she hadnât seen in what felt like ages.
If she loved anything more than her own house, it was being at his place.Â
They sank to the floor, their backs leaning against the bed. Percy instinctively moved as close to her as he could; those two weeks sheâd been away on vacation had been agonizing for him.
âPlease, tell me everything. What are the beaches like?â
They started chatting, with her describing her trip and him listening carefully, asking a question now and then to make sure she kept talking. He had to admit, he had missed hearing her speak more than he cared to say.
At some point, when Percy was in the kitchen getting them some drinks, she remembered the little something sheâd brought for her boyfriend. She hurried to her backpack and dug out the blue seashell sheâd picked up.
It was lovely, with different tones of his favorite color and tiny white specks that sparkled. Definitely pretty. She stared at it for a while, suddenly realizing how silly the gift seemed.
Come on, he could probably dive to the depths of the sea and collect a whole bunch of them.Â
âOh, whatâs that?â Suddenly, the boy entered the room, setting the glasses down on the bedside table and moving behind her. He rested his jaw softly against her shoulder and peeked at what she was holding.
âOh, itâs nothing.â She tried to tuck it away again, but he covered her hands with his, stopping her. She sighed, a little flustered. âItâs a gift. Itâs kind of dumb, really⊠I donât know, I saw it and thought of you-â
âItâs the prettiest seashell Iâve ever seen, love.â He interrupted her, and though she didnât turn, she felt Percyâs smile against her neck, followed by the lightest kiss pressed there. âI love it!â
He held the gift, studying it carefully under the loving gaze of his girlfriend, who had turned to look at him.
Without a word, he made his way to the desk, opened a drawer, and pulled out a white wood box. She moved closer, her gaze following every movement as he used a small key from the drawer to unlock it.Â
âWhat do you have there?â She asked, her voice filled with intrigue. Percy turned to face her, lowered himself onto the bed, and gently patted the space next to him, encouraging her to sit by his side.
âLook,â he said once she was beside him. âthis is like my little collection of you. Gifts, things you leave behind, things that remind me of you⊠See this? Itâs the bracelet you made for me a few months ago! And this earring? You left it here when you lost the other one âI held onto it, just in case you ever found its match.âÂ
He carefully showed her each item inside: photographs from the early days of their relationship, ticket stubs from every date, and even the smallest gifts she had given him. He had kept everything, every little detail they had shared since they met.
But what stunned her most wasnât the collection itself, but the way he remembered each detail; each memory, each moment, and even the feelings those tokens had stirred in him.
She stood on the brink of tears when he finally finished showing her everything.
âThis is so beautiful, I never expected anyone to do something like this for me.â She said, watching him as he slid the seashell back into the box and set it back in its place.
âWhy wouldn't I do that?â He crouched in front of her, holding both of her hands in his and caressing them tenderly.
He truly couldnât understand it; this girl deserved the world, and anything she offered should be protected and cared for like a little piece of herself she was giving him.
âI love you, and I love everything that comes with you.â He finished, giving her hands a kiss. "Every thing, moment, and detail I share with you is a treasure -I need to keep it somewhere, don't I?"
She smiled, leaning in and wrapping her arms around him tightly. Her eyes closed as she held into the moment, murmuring a small 'i love you' in his skin. As response, he held her closer, leaving kisses in her temple.
She had always thought these kinds of things only happened in fairy tales, that guys like that didnât really exist.
So glad Percy wasnât just any guy.
everyone has, like, a memory box, right? RIGHT? ok but do i want to be in love or just prove that i can be loved?

Thinking about struggling musician Eddie who makes a living singing and playing guitar in a Metallica tribute band.
Thinking about bartender Steve who thinks tribute bands are the cringiest, most insufferable things to ever exist.
Thinking about Robin, his coworker, who made a bet on the very first day of their new job that Steve would eventually hook up with someone from a tribute band.
And the thing is, he almost makes it. Three years and heâs got a completely clean track record. Well, at least until the night some random Metallica cover bandâs frontman has Steve questioning his sanity from the moment he sets foot on stage. Because Steve is mesmerized. By the way his lithe figure moves under the bright stage lights. By the way his fingers slide deftly along the neck of his guitar. By the way his voice permeates the room, filling the air to the point where Steve thinks he must be breathing the music into his lungs. And then, the motherfucker has the audacity to take off shirt his mid-performance, putting on display a well-curated collection of tattoos. Steve feels like an ancient deity has descended from the heavens and decided to play fucking Metallica, on a fucking Tuesday, in the shittiest fucking bar in all of Inianapolis. Well and truly distracted by the action on stage, Steve doesnât register the glass slipping slowly out of his grasp, until the damn thing has hit the floor and broken into a thousand pieces. When he turns to examine the mess, Robin is already there, broom in hand.
âYou might wanna think about closing that mouth, dingus. I donât think you drooling all over this pristine countertop is good for business,â she says with barely contained laughter, quickly sweeping the shards into the dustpan.
âYeah, yeah, laugh it up,â he retorts, rolling his eyes, suddenly very aware of just how much he was staring. Instinctively, Steve shakes his hand to drive away the haze, grabs a new glass, and tries his best to focus on the task at hand.
It isnât until the final number of the evening that Steveâs resolve truly crumbles. Heâs all but managed to tune out the goings-on around him, which is why he nearly has a heart attack when he suddenly finds himself face to face with the beam coming straight from the main spotlight.
âCan we- Yes. Perfect. There he is,â says a low voice coming from the very center of the stage, followed by a cacophony of loud cheers.
And⊠Oh no.
âWhat the-,â he mutters, a hand flying up to shield his eyes from the blinding light. Thatâs when he sees him.
âHey, pretty boy behind the bar. Get me some whiskey up here on this stage, will you?â
And Steve is so so so incredibly fucked.
He stares dumbly for a few seconds. Having seemingly lost any and all ability to think independently, Steve brain shifts into autopilot, causing him to grab the full bottle of Jack sitting on the shelf behind him, stroll towards the stage as if possessed, accompanied by the sound of cheering, which only grows louder with every step he takes. He climbs the steps leading onto the stage. As soon as he reaches the top, he finds himself face to face withâŠ
Heâs so close. For a brief moment, Steve wonders if he knew prior to this moment that a person can be this beautiful. Theyâre chest to chest. The guy is ducking his head to whisper something to Steve, his breath hitting the sensitive spot just below the ear as he does so.
âThanks, sweetheart,â he says, his like voice smoke, and milk, and honey, and all things Steve wants to breathe in, and drink, and savor. He plucks the bottle from Steveâs hand, ringed fingers grazing his.
He winks at Steve as he takes a few steps backwards, a devilish smile playing on his lips. Then, without breaking eye contact, he tips his head back, opens his mouth, and begins pouring the amber liquid until it spills over he edges, running down his neck and the length of his torso. After what feels like hours to Steve, the guy finally swallows the remnants of the drinking in his mouth, immediately leveling Steve with a dark gaze.
âNow you.â
Positively transfixed, Steve realizes a little too late that he has, in fact, missed his window to flee, and is headed head-first for whatever public humiliation the guy has in store for him. A strong, sure hand grips the back of his neck, long fingers tangling into the hair at the nape, tugging ever so slightly.
âOpen.â
Itâs not gentle. Itâs a thing of lust. A command. Steve feels it in his bones. And he canât look away. His body is not his own when he gives into the pull of the musicianâs hand, his jaw going lax, mouth automatically falling open. The guy brings the bottle up to Steveâs mouth, pouring in a generous amount. Before Steve even gets the chance to swallow the liquid already burning its way down his throat, the bottle is being shoved rougly into his hand, the guy bringing his other hand up once again, only to press the palm under Steveâs chin, forcing his mouth closed. Forcing him to swallow. Steve nearly chokes.
âGood boy,â he says with a wicked grin, before pushing a spluttering, coughing Steve back in the direction of the stairs, causing him to nearly topple off the stage. The guy laughs maniacally into his microphone and the crowd goes wild, the drummer already counting them into the final song.
Still bewildered and absolutely dumbfounded by whatever just happened to him on that stage, Steve chances one last glance in the singerâs direction as he descends the stairs.
This time, however, he isnât met with a sultry, dark look, or one of the guyâs infamous mischievous grins. Instead, he finds a pair of soft brown eyes staring back at him, and plush pink lips curved into the dopiest, most endearing smile Steve has ever seen.
âŠ
By the end of the night, Steve has found the love of his life and Robin is collecting money from nearly every employee at the bar, sporting a smug, I-told-you-so expression on her face.

Hey hey Suzuuuu
I hope you can see this request..
Itâs a nsfw
I would like to request Wanderer x shy fem reader at Sumeru Akademiya, a new student came in and its reader who is shy to introduce herself. And the teacher told the new student to sit next to Wanderer and Wanderer finds it annoying when he preferred to be alone.
At some time, Wanderer becomes like a bully when he likes to tease and make fun of fem reader only to see her reactions, and it makes him like want to corrupt her innocence.
wanderer (scaramouche) x fem!reader. smut corruption. fingering. bullying. minor degradation.
i want to sincerely thank everyone for letting me take my time and go through requests at my own pace đđ„ș i feel bad, though.
wanderer only went to class that day because nahida insisted on walking him there. if she hadn't, he would gone right out into the forest to hide and maybe nap in a tree for awhile. a more valuable use of his time, in his opinion, but nahida insisted that the akademiya would be good for him.
he could practically taste your innocence the moment you walked through the lecture hall door. it was pure in a way he hadn't considered still existed. through his sheer annoyance at you being seated next to him (his table was the only empty seat. he could totally see why), he shot you a glare that sent an unexpected shiver up your spine.
"don't think we are going to be friends because you are sitting next to me," he wanted to level with you right here and now. "99% of the time, i won't even be here."
"oh, that's fine," you replied, organizing your books and tucking some hair behind your ear. "i'm not here to make friends. i am here to learn," you pursed your lips, and offered him a soft smile, "my family also has high expectations of me."
"i didn't ask," wanderer replied, crossing his arms and finding a spot to fixate on and stare at for the rest of the class. chances are he knew more things politically than the professor. the asshole who wrote that essay about what he thought happened on tatarasuna sure thought he knew everything.
still though, as much as he hates it, he kept looking at you from the corner of his eye. it was easy for him to tell what kind of girl you are in these moments. you certainly had no issue sitting there, looking pretty while you listened with such foolish intent. you even took notes on the smallest, most useless things.
did you think this knowledge may come in use later?
judging from your explanation earlier, wanderer knew exactly what to capitalize on and take advantage of.
he didn't expect you to have the most interesting reactions when he bullied you.
"it must be so hard for you," wanderer cooed condescendingly, watching you survey the mess he made by knocking all your books out of your hands. "always being a goody goody. doing your homework on time, never missing class," sighing, he kicked one of notebooks out of the way as you reached down to pick it up. "you have be getting crushed under the weight."
"i..i am just so clumsy," you stumbled over your words a little, clearly flustered. wanderer licked his lips. you are just so interesting. he'd just been so mean to you. anyone should've snapped or fought back. but not you. you had the shyest flush on your cheeks. were you enjoying this?
as for you, you are. the more interactions you have with wanderer bullying you, with his enchanting electric eyes and condescending purr to his voice, the wetter you got. it was embarrassing to you. a fact that you had a hard time coming to terms with. at first.
he even used a small gust of anemo to knock your water bottle out of your hand one day, tossing water all over your shirt (it was to see your nipples harden in your bra from cold the water was), but you only looked at him with further adoration.
but his bullying just felt so good. you couldn't possibly tell him that you often fingered yourself until you were a wet, twitching mess at night after classes.
in wanderer's still very twisted mind, corrupting you would be helping you. he didn't even know when he started coming to class everyday, but you were starting to look like you weren't sleeping well. your hands shook while you took tests.
the moment you felt wanderer's hand dip into your panties for the first time, parting your folds and grazing your clit, your hips immediately jerked up to grind on his fingers. fingers that you always thought are so ungodly beautiful it should be considered a crime.
a moan you didn't even mean to let out sounded from you. the more those beautiful fingers stroked your pussy, the more it throbbed and clenched. your eyes widened in an aroused desperation, your hole clenching around the tips of his fingers as he prodded them teasingly at your entrance.
"you poor thing," wanderer cooed, "this is probably the best you have felt ever," he slowly wagged the pads of his fingers on your clit, tearing mewls from you as he just as teasingly pinched your clit. "you are so fucking wet, your cunt will suck my fingers in."
your clit throbbed, feeling shamelessly compelled to rub your soaking pussy on his fingers. "i thought you had to get to class?" he continued. your eyes widened as he started to take his hand out of your panties. "do you know how foolish it is to try and please everyone all the time?"
your hand shot out to grasp his wrist. "no, please. i don't want to go anywhere. i want to stay right here with you," you urged his hand between your legs again. "please," your eyes watered in desperation.
wanderer chuckled. did you have an idea how much of a turn on you are in general? you, the good and innocent girl was begging to skip class and stay with him with your legs spread on his bed. fuck, you deserve to have your pretty pussy stuffed full with his fingers. "who knew you are really such a slut?"
you are breaking so well under the weight of his corruption. you couldn't think about anything other than the need to feel his fingers fucking into you. thoughts you'd never had before about anyone. until wanderer.
"good girl," he tuggedyour panties off, his cock straining from watching the soaked material peel off your pussy. "moan for me while i break you. it's what you want the most, no?" he pushed two fingers inside of you, stretching you apart and hooking them to the knuckle into your sweet spot.
you nodded, jolts of pleasure crackling through you. your eyes nearly rolled closed in pleasure as he started pumping his fingers. they would've had he not put a hand on your jaw. "no, no, kitten. i wanna see those pretty eyes of yours while i make you cum," he gently squeezed your jaw to remind you of your place.
it is erotic to him how some of your moans even had a tinge of shock in them. you are coming apart so fast, your body only relaxing and submitting to him. he was devouring you, and nothing has ever felt better in your whole life.
the pumps of his fingers grew more aggressive with your consistent moans. he stretched your pussy apart so perfectly, sussing out every sensitive spot between your walls effortlessly. "a third finger, please," you moan, rocking your hips up extra to convey your plea.
wanderer was more than happy to oblige you. he abruptly added a third finger, bullying it against your sweet spot. a near scream of pleasure tore from your throat. "are you feeling good, slut?" his cock pulsed as your walls snapped tighter around his fingers. you obviously enjoy being degraded. "you'll tend to my cock next, yes?"
you struggled to even nod, your cheeks flushed with adoration. "yes! i want to more than anything!" you cried out, stroking his wrist in appreciation as your orgasm curled tighter, your juices frothing and gathering on the insides of your thighs.
"oh? more than going to class or pleasing your family?" wanderer couldn't wait for your inevitable response. a response that would no doubt make him want to impale you on his cock even more. he couldn't break you too fast.
could he?
"yes, yes please! so much more than..than.." your words fell away, the knot of your orgasm building and tightening to an almost overwhelming degree. "anything!" you barely managed to cry out, twitching and writhing as you scrambled to chase the wonderful high unlike any other that he was providing.
wanderer couldn't help but laugh shakily, slowly stroking his cock. you look more beautiful breaking than he imagined. he knew he didn't have to keep his hand on your chin anymore. you couldn't and wouldn't dream of taking your eyes off. not when he'd demanded you to keep looking at him while you cum.

Alastor X Reader
Warnings â
â deer man still trying to stay in denial, blood/gore, Italics= thoughts, partial nudity mention, Bold= time shifts, gif is reader's shadow form. â
Alastor felt like he was at the end of a shotgun barrel.
He froze, his hands shaking slightly and his undead heart thumping rapidly.
Quite a daring thing to say...
Husk stared at him in slight shock and something else. Something that the deer demon couldn't decipher. The two stood still, not moving an inch, just watching who would make the first move. Almost like an old west duel.
Finally, after a long silence, one of them spoke up.
"Leave them alone."
In all honesty, the cat demon had no idea what to do about this...situation, but he knew the Radio Demon. His boss was nothing but a cruel, insane, egotistical man who wanted power and control.
"I don't give a shit about what you do to me, but I know if you hurt me, they'll hate you.", Husk said before turning to leave the radio tower. "Whatever thing you've got? It's best to get rid of it now."
And with that, the feline left.
Now Alastor was alone, just like he wanted but he couldn't get rid of the thought of what the ex Overlord had said.
He couldn't deny it any longer.
Sighing, he ran a hand through his hair before making his way over to his chair.
I'll avoid them like the plague... He decided.
He stayed away for two weeks.
Leaving a room whenever they stepped foot inside, staying in his room, office, or radio tower when he didn't know where they were in the hotel.
And then something snapped.
The thought was screeching in his mind, clawing at his chest, a never ending cycle of want.
He had to-
No.
Needed to tell them.
Maybe confessing would help stop that feeling.
With the last of his sanity, Alastor stepped out of his radio tower and went to search for them with the help of his shadows.
.
You were confused at first by the absence of the red dressed demon but thought nothing of it since your brother seemed happier.
Charlie had given you the new job of welcoming new guests at the front desk but well...its been very boring.
No one checks in.
Like at all. The demons that do come in ask for directions and then there's Cherri Bomb, Angel's friend who stops by for a second or two. So, you spent most of your days talking to your brother at the bar, leaving a "ring the bell for assistance" sign at the check-in counter.
You held a glass of very diluted iced catnip tea, your brother made sure to make it that way so you don't run around the hotel like last time.
"Ugh.", you hid your face in embarrassment.
I can't believe Husk planned that. That jerk! You sighed. I did enjoy the nap after though..
Then your thoughts continued until it wound up to the last conversation you had with your brother about the red dressed demon.
After telling him what happened, Husk stood up real quick and said he'd be right back. Then he came back with snacks and his poker face.
What your brother doesn't know is that you can actually read his poker face. It's very, very faint, but his ears give him away. Depending on the way that it flicks, you can tell how bad a situation is.
And his ear flicked back twice.
Which means he doesn't like the current cards in his hand.
What did he get? You wonder and sip your drink.
Some more time passes and the next time you see Alastor in the same room as you is when the King comes to visit the hotel.
Keekee is in your arms and hops out once Lucifer stops hugging Charlie.
Things take a turn after some random flapper shows up and then there are shark sinners.
"MY WINDOWS!", Nifty screeches in horror.
It goes to shit really quickly, everything is too loud, everyone is running around and trying to stay out of the shooting range of the flaming boulders, and you were overstimulated with all of the things happening at once.
"GET BEHIND THE COUNTER KIT!", Husk grabs you by the shoulders and pushes you towards the bar.
You make a face once seeing the flapper, the reason loan sharks are attacking the hotel, is hiding behind the counter.
"Oh fuck this.", you sigh and walk away.
No wonder your brother said not to come here.
Its too loud..
The banging on the door didn't stop until the Radio Demon stepped out and the screams took over.
Too loud.
"I will devour each and every one of you!"
You covered your ears in pain, wishing you brought your headset.
"ITS TOO FUCKING LOUD!", you yell out.
.
Alastor reminisces when these feelings solidified.
It was when Lucifer and Mimzy showed up at the hotel. He had his fun messing around with the King, making the short blonde feel jealous.
Then Mimzy barged in, which is not a surprise, and started chatting up with the others.
What annoyed him was when Husk mentioned the deal that he, the Radio Demon, had made. Reminding him that he too needed to stay within range so his collar didn't choke his neck.
Then after taking care of Husk, he made his way downstairs to take care of Mimzy's mess.
And that's when it happened.
As he was ripping apart some of the loan sharks, he heard screaming from inside the hotel. Turning to deal with the ones that managed to slip past him, he finds a shadow creature with multiple eyes dragging the left over sharks into the darkness.
"NO! No, no, no, no, no! AH-!", a shark screamed before the shadow tore open his stomach and ripped out his intestines.
"Kit! You gotta calm down!", Husk yelled out.
"That's your little sibling!?", Angel screeched. "What the fuck happened!?"
"It was too damn loud, that's what happened!"
The two continued to bicker as they tried to move the shadow out of the hotel.
A piece of rubble fell and Mimzy side stepped away from it. "Oops. Sorry about the mess. I'm sure the little bug can handle it."
"Mimzy.", Alastor went back to his normal size and made his way towards the hotel. "I believe it's time for you to leave. Now."
"What-? Come on, you don't mean that~", the flapper laughs. "This dump doesn't mean anything to ya! And you love taking care of me!"
"I can't have you making a mess here.", he replied. "You can stay if you want to be redeemed.", he turned to look back at the short woman. "But we both know that's not your style."
"Fine! I don't need you! Have fun at this ritzy dump and-!"
Alastor ignored the rest and walked into the hotel lobby. Husk was the only one taking care of the shadow beast, while Angel was watching whatever was going on between the two royals with the others.
"It's ok now, calm down.", the cat demon said to the shadow in the corner.
"What or who is this?", the deer demon asks and points to the shadow creature.
"Pretty sure you ain't deaf, you heard Angel yell it out.", Husk said and started..purring?
"My! I didn't know you could make such an adorable sound!", he grinned.
"Shut up!", the cat hissed quietly. "They need to calm down, loud noises only make it worse!"
"Well, why didn't you say that sooner?"
With a snap of his fingers, he teleported the three of them into his room in the greenery area.
"The only sounds in here are nature, will this do?", Alastor asked.
"Yes, this is fine.", Husk nodded before getting focused, and pulled the shadow closer. "Kit? Listen. You're ok now.", he said and started purring again.
Their shadow figure was still too large, so the radio demon decided to add in some of his white noise static, earning a look from Husker.
"It helps.", was all he said.
Slowly but surely, the shadow got smaller and smaller before going back into a familiar figure. The darkness on their form began to fade away, starting from the tips of their feet/paws.
Before the shadow fully receded, Husk held out his hand.
"Give me a blanket or somethin'."
"Whatever for?", he asked with a raised brow.
"You wanna see them naked?"
Alastor quickly took off his coat and handed it over.
In a quick motion, the cat demon covered his sibling in the red fabric and wrapped an arm around their shoulders, holding them securely as they passed out.
A few moments passed before the demon in red decided to ask his question.
"What exactly happened?"
Husk was quiet for a bit and then sighed.
"I'll let them tell you."
Now, Alastor stood in front of your hotel room.
He felt like it was as if it was his first broadcast all over again. His nerves were all over the place and his hands felt tingly.
Clearing his throat, he prepared himself and knocked on their door.
"Dear? Are you there? There is something I wish to discuss with you."
A few heartbeats later, the door opens.
"Come in."
*flops over* I'm done for now. Stay tuned.
~Seline, the person.

Would you mind doing alternate universe claggor x a fem!reader who's a cat-person like lest?
Here you gooo!!!
Arcane Imagines- Claggor
Say It First
summary: [name] and claggor like one another but neither will make it official.
[arcane] [main page]
â[Name]!? [Name]! Dude your shift is about to start!â A slightly muffled voice shouts, startling me awake from the rough sleep I had last night. I shoot up from my couch, my ears ringing due to the sudden movement I made. I look around trying to remember where I even was.Â
I glance down to my couch, trying to pinpoint why I was sleeping in my living room and not my bedroom. I get jolted out of my thoughts when the front door is slamming open. My eyes widened, stepping back to see Mylo who just kicked my door open. âHey, my door!â I scrunch my face, putting my arms up. âYouâre fixing that.â I angrily told him.Â
âYou should be thanking me, actually.â He rebuttals, showing me his watch. The time was 5 minutes before my shift at The Last Drop started. My heart sank. âI forgot to set my alarm.â I solemnly admit, rushing to my bedroom. âI didnât know you were awake. I wouldn't have had Mylo do that! I thought he was going to pick the lock, not break it.â Powder says, following behind me.Â
âItâs okay, heâs fixing it whether he wants to or not.â I spit out, throwing my clothes off, not caring that my friend was right there. She covered her eyes immediately. âVander is going to be pissed!â I cry out, throwing my work clothes on, grooming out my tail along with my hair. âI was up way too late last night.â I mutter, spraying a bunch of perfume on.
âLetâs go.â I grab my best friendâs wrist, dragging her out of my room. Mylo stood there, hands behind his back. âCâmon, I donât want you in my house.â I point to him, taking his arm in my other hand. Hurriedly leaving my place, shutting the door behind me even though it really didnât matter since my lock and door knob was busted.
âWhy were you so tired, hm?â Mylo takes his arm back as we all rush to the bar. âI was out with a friend.â I rolled my eyes, sprinting ahead of them so I didnât have to hear their teasing.Â
âShe was so with Claggor.â He whispers over to Powder who just snickers. âTotally.â She adds.Â
âGuys, please whispering is not the best thing to do around me.â I point to my fluffed up ears. âWe meant for you to hear.â The blue haired girl smirks. I groan. âWhatever.â The Last Drop comes into view and I start running to the building. I made it in just a minute. All eyes on me when I burst inside. I bite my lip, holding onto my tail nervously as I walk to Vander. âI made it on time.â I give him a small salute.Â
âYou look like you just woke up.â He ruffles my hair, my ears go down, upset with him messing up my hair. âThatâs because she did.â Mylo sits on a stool, Powder joining. âOnly reason sheâs here is because we broke into her house.â She says in a joking manner even though that is quite literally what they did.Â
âYeah, Mylo. Iâm not joking when I say youâre fixing that!â I fumed, heading behind the bar to tie my waist apron. âYeah, yeah.â He sighs in annoyance. âHe broke your lock?â A voice adds into the conversation, I perk up looking to see Claggor whoâs holding a box of random things. âYeah, can you believe that?â I smile, leaning over the counter.Â
Vander scoffs, walking away knowing Iâm about to be really distracted now. âActually, I can.â He grumbles glaring over at his brother. âHe learned it from Vi when we were younger.â Claggor thinks back to the pink haired girl who was basically his sister. I take his hand knowing sometimes itâs a little hard to mention her. âYeah well heâs going to fix said door.â I squeeze his hand before letting it go to pinch Mylo on the arm. âBetter get to it so I have a safe home to go to bed tonight.â I stare him down and when he attempts to argue I just make a zip it motion.Â
âGoing nowâŠâ He groans, storming out of the building. Powder joins Claggor and I, laughing at her pouting brother who just left. âI warned him about having to fix it.â She shrugs her shoulders. âHe doesnât think about consequences much.â I remind her. âNever has.â Claggor chimes in, giving me a small wink. My face flushes and I turn to Powder who was already smirking at me.Â
âSo, what were you two doing up so late last night?â She abruptly questions us, making both Claggor and I tense up. âWell, um, this was part of the reason.â He lifts up the box he came in here with. âA box of⊠junk?â Powder tilts her head with a slight expression of disgust.Â
âYes, Iâm reusing it. To turn it into jewelry. Claggor and I were collecting them yesterday and he said heâd clean them and bring them back to me. Hence why he brought it here.â I explain, taking the box, hiding it underneath the counter. âThank you by the way.â I grin, he nods his head. âJewelry?â
âYeah, Vander said I could sell some here if they were good enough.â I pointed over to their dad who was talking to a customer. âI forgot you were super into making jewelry.â Powder purses out her lips. âSpeaking of jewelry! Ekko and I are going on a date to that art festival tonight. We wanted to invite you two.â She proposes to us and I furrow my eyebrows as Claggor has a slight blush on his cheeks. âYou want us to join your date?â I repeated back to her.
âItâs a date for us, it can be whatever⊠your hangouts are called.â She avoids eye contact with me. I know what sheâs doing.Â
Claggor and I like each other. Itâs extremely evident and we both know how annoying it comes off. For some reason we donât talk about it nor do we hint at it or anything. No kissing, no hugging, no intimacy at all! I got a fist bump last night and I dreamt about it, thatâs how pathetic this whole ordeal is.Â
âYou donât have to answer now but I need one before 4.â She smacks her hand down on the counter before walking away just as her boyfriend, Ekko comes into view. I turned to Claggor who was staring down at his hands. âDo you want to go?â I ask him, I feel my tail flicker to the side and I grab it. Not wanting it to give away my interest. âDo you?âÂ
I smack his arm because of his answer. He does this often. Not giving me an answer on what he wants and deflecting it for me to answer first. âI do, actually. Now, what do you want to do?â
He smiles up at me. âThatâs exactly what I was going to say.â He says. I roll my eyes. âSure it was.âÂ
âąâąâą
Powder gets dressed over at my house. Sheâs wearing a white shirt that has pink flowers all over it with a long black skirt as I put on a dark blue shirt and jean shorts. My shorts used to be Powders but I absentmindedly cut a hole in them for my tail after I borrowed them.Â
âAre you two going to make it official soon?â Powder asks as she finishes her eyeliner. âAgain with this?â I whine, aggressively putting my shoes on. â[Name] it is exhausting to watch! Just say something. Iâm sure he wants the same thing!â She practically begs and I sit on the edge of my bed, letting out a huff of air. âI know he does but I want him to make the first move. He never says what he wants first.â I throw myself back on my bed dramatically.Â
âHeâs most likely just nervous, he doesnât want to say the wrong thing.â Powder comes and sits beside me. Her face was hovering over mine. âI understand though.â She rubs my arm. âFunny, Ekko was pretty straight forward last I checked.â I poke her nose, her cheeks turn pink in response. âOkay I donât fully get it but I do understand if I put myself in your shoes.â She shoves my arm, standing back up.Â
âąâąâą
We meet up with the guys at the bridge where theyâre throwing the festival. Powder jumps over to her boyfriend, linking their arms. Claggor and I awkwardly stand beside one another, following behind the couple into the festival.Â
I mainly just looked around for new jewelry inspos to make out of the recycled junk that I have. Telling Claggor to take a mental image just in case I forgot. Powder and I fangirling over certain paintings and little gadgets all around.Â
â[Name], look at that table.â Powder points over to another jewelry table but the jewelry wasnât made of metal or plastic but instead plants. My jaw slacks, grabbing onto Claggor excitedly bringing him over to the table with me. Not realizing that Ekko and Powder took that as a chance to split up from us. I pick up a blue flower crown, examining it. âI could so create something like this!â I squeal, placing it on my head. âPowder they have pink-â I held it in my hands, turning to show her but she was already gone. I press my lips together and frown.
âWow.â I scoffed out a laugh. âHey, since you picked that up you actually have to buy both of them.â The creator comes up behind me, I look at her with a sad look. I didnât bring any money. Before I can say that though Claggor was already giving him a few coins. âThank you.â She nods her head, stuffing the coins in her pocket.Â
âSorry, Iâll pay you back.â I hold the flower crown in front of me. Not knowing what to do with it now. âItâs alright, donât worry about it.â He waves me off. I look between him and the crown, a smirk creeping up on my lips.Â
âPut this on.â I give it to him, he raises a brow. âOkay.â He puts it on without a fight and I giggle, giving him a hug. âWe match!â I feel my tail flick back and forth and I immediately let him go before he can embrace me back.
I clear my throat. âLetâs go check out the glass area. That seemed cool.â I avert my gaze from him, walking ahead now. âYou okay?â He asks. âOf course.â I curtly answered.Â
I want to be able to hug him without worrying about doing too much. Or showing him Iâm too happy because what if that looks weird. My ears and tail give me away too quickly though. Iâve never been able to lie about my emotions. Ever. If Iâm upset my ears flatten. If Iâm happy, excited or nervous my tail will show it with how it moves. Itâs sort of annoying.Â
âI know somethingâs bothering you, [Name].â He places a hand on my shoulder. See!Â
âNothingâs bothering me.â I lie, forcing a smile. âLetâs go see that glass.â I pump my fists in the air. He doesnât move though when I begin to walk. âCâmon.â I try to grab his hand but he pulls away to cross his arms. âNot until you tell me.â
I glanced around us and everyone was just walking around, not paying attention to what we were doing at all. âI guess we can stay in the jewelry section.â I attempt to make a joke but it doesnât land with my very small audience.
Once his silence began to bother me I swallowed down my pride. Thinking back to what Powder said. How it might just be hard for him to explain how feels about things.Â
âI want to be something.â I deflect eye contact with him, trying to focus on literally anything else at this moment. âWhat do you want to be?â He stammers.
âA couple like Ekko and Powder. I want to kiss, hold hands, tell everyone that youâre mine.â I exclaim, at the ending of my sentence I glance up at him. His hands drop to his sides. âI canât tell if thatâs what you want either because you never tell me how you feel unless I say what I feel and then you just agree with me and it makes me feel like youâre lying almost.â I blurt out word after word, not being able to stop the vomit that is this sentence.Â
âI just want to know how Claggor feels, not [Name].â I tell him truthfully, my head going down sadly. My ears falling with it. I hold onto my tail to mess with something.
âI⊠in all honesty [Name] I feel the same way as you most of the time. Like this for example, I want the same thing. I want to call you mine and scream it out to everyone. I just get scared that Iâm going to mess up.â He grabbed my hands, my tail dropping back down. âWhat would you mess up?â I look up at him through my eyelashes. âEverything.â He chuckles dryly.Â
âMm, I donât think you ever could.â I pull him closer to me, wrapping his arms around me. âI want you to be mine and I want you to tell me everything you feel.â I tell him, my arms going around his neck. âI want to kiss you.â He says, momentarily letting me go so we can get out of people's way a little better. We werenât exactly stopping anyone from walking but so we could have our moment a little better. He brought me to the wall of the bridge.Â
âYou want to kiss me?â I giggle, my hand traveling to his face. âMhm.â He nods his head. I see the redness in his ears from how hard heâs blushing. âThen do it.â I whisper.
He smiles, both of us inching closer and closer before he closes the gap between us. Our lips locking together and then moving as if weâve done this before.Â
Once we realize we were still in public though we back away with dumb, goofy smiles on our faces. âWe need to do that more often.â I blurted out, causing him to laugh. âI wouldnât mind.âÂ
âFINALLY!!!â Two arms wrap around us, pulling us together with Powder who was excitedly jumping up and down. âWhatâd I tell you, Ekko. My plan worked.â She throws her head back to look at her boyfriend who shook his head.Â

Title: Blood and Feathers
*Crossposted to AO3 Here*
Pairing: Rosinante/Corazon x Fem!Reader x Doflamingo
Warnings: language, non con, dub con, size difference, reader is cheated on (not by the brothers), reader is stalked/abducted, reader is double teamed, vaginal sex, rough sex, unprotected sex, animal instincts/behaviors, blood, violence, toxic relationships, breeding kink
Synopsis: Set in a modern!AU. You are an avian veterinarian dealing with a recent life upheaval. Years ago, you also had a traumatic experience with creatures mainstream science still denies as even existing. But memories of that night were soon buried, relegated to your dreams alone. Or so you had thought.
A/N: This oneshot was inspired both by @tuquidflamingoâs gorgeous Harpy!Doffy fanart for Doffytober2024 Day 24:Mythical Here, and @froggiewritesâs terrifyingly sexy Siren!Doffy fic Mating Call Here. I needed more bird!Donquixotes after seeing those works and could not restrain myself. This was originally intended as monster/horror themed for Halloween as well, but Iâm way late to the party (as usual đ
).

âYou poor darling. The boys havenât been very nice to you have they?â You frowned to your newest patient. A female dove, slightly fearful in your grip as you held her gently from behind in a small towel within your hand.
The hallmarks of overbreeding were evident to you in all the missing feathers near the back of her head.Â
Some single minded Lotharios within her previous enclosure had plucked her practically raw while doing their overeager business on her from behind no doubt.
âRemember. Men are all the same, sweetheart. They only care about one thing.â You mumbled, not particularly worried of how bitter you still sounded while you felt her chest and keel bone next. That boneâs prominence signaling her being rather underweight to your additional concern.Â
Not that youâd been eating much either, or maintaining a healthy mindstate at all. Just like hers, your life had also gone quite to shit recently.
Just two days ago youâd come home early, only to find your boyfriend of the last few years balls deep and moaning within the newest assistant from his law office.
And youâd thought he really was going to have a heart attack when heâd finally seen you standing there.
But his new young lover had only smiled, cool as anything.
âOops.â Sheâd said, still on top of your fiancĂ© and almost sweetly staring over her shoulder at you.
Her long fingernails had left trails of raised scratches all over his chest and sides. Which youâd seen so distinctly as heâd sat up in a panic to plea to you.
Of course, there would have been no way he could have hidden that evidence later even if you hadnât caught them in the act.Â
As youâd dragged suitcases out and begun throwing what you could into them, heâd had the gall to swear to you too that it was both his first and last time with her.Â
Heâd even tried to blame her, as if heâd had no say in it all.
But youâd just taken your engagement ring off and thrown it so hard itâd ricocheted off of the wall and rolled to God knew where.
To whatever void your trust and self confidence had now plummeted into most likely.
Yet the apartment lease had only been in his name. So in just that single afternoon, youâd gone from daydreams of a winter wedding to officially homeless and with mascara running down both sides of your face. All with strangers staring at you on your march of shame back through the parking garage.
You didnât even tell anyone afterward. Because youâd had no one close enough to you to tell.
You were living out of a hotel room now. Nowhere to land as of yet as youâd still went to your normal veterinary job uptown during the day. And to this volunteer time at the avian rehab center just outside of the city each night.Â
The only consistently listening ears for you now were sick and troubled birds. Either domestic seizures from hoarding and animal cruelty cases like this dove, or sometimes just wild raptors and waterfowl thatâd had an acute turn of bad luck.
Youâd seen it all at one point or another. But every day was different. And yet only more of the same all at once.
Until tonight, when it absolutely wasnât.
You were here alone. Staying much later than you normally would, because the company of the birds was still better than hearing your neighbors arguing through those thin hotel walls that were now all you had to go back to.
Besides this doveâs occasional cooing, and your own words of continued self pity, you also had a constant rotation of true crime podcasts, murder mysteries, and tales of the supernatural droning on from your phone still on the counter.Â
It was very fitting for a rainy, cold night like this one.
And in a bit of a playful holiday segment in between those longer tales, it was then some of those two sentence horror stories. Â
The narrator had just read one of your favorites in their best Vincent Price impersonation.Â
âThe last man on Earth sat alone in a room.Â
There was a knock on the door.â
You smirked of course. Your imagination flooding with all that unnamed manâs possible fates and an idea that he may actually deserve them now, before the lights abruptly went out above you.
Both you and the dove had startled with that plunge into darkness. But under the dim glow of the battery backup lights which came on after, around the fire exit signs, you quickly silenced those additional horror teases from your phone.
âMaybe they missed a power bill again.â Youâd told the dove softly as youâd returned her to the temporary holding cages.Â
Funding was always tight for a non profit like this. People just werenât as giving when sick vultures and irritable corvids didnât end up as marketable as sad kittens on the donation commercials.
But, this could also be the universeâs sign for you to give in and go home.
Wherever the hell home was supposed to be now.
Youâd pulled your exam gloves inside out, trashing them before washing and drying your hands.
A coat, purse, and umbrella were all you had to gather before walking into that now near pitch black hallway.
There was only the slight squeak of your shoes on the linoleum floor for those few precious seconds of normalcy youâd had left.Â
And then came the first metal bang.
Like a knock.
And the next one which followed it.Â
Echoing through the darkness before you.
Something heavy and urgent was slamming against the metal door which led to the rear parking lot.
The parking lot that backed up to the woods. Where your car and thereby only way back to the city now was.
Even then, the logic in you still refused to fully slip however. Though your heart did beat far faster in your confusion.
You could hear many birds beginning to rustle in their cages in other rooms, bothered by the new noises as well.
You wanted to comfort them, but you knew they wouldnât understand.
Did you even understand?
You still had your phone of course. You could call the police and just wait here, locked inside if you were actually that afraid.
But outside of the city limits like this, response time would be awful unless youâd be lucky enough that a random patrol car may be nearby.
You didnât want some judgmental cop showing up thirty minutes from now, to look at you like you were a complete idiot if you said just being in the dark with strange noises was enough to have you needing rescue.
Your hand was already in your purse though, fingers around the beveled case of your phone as everything went silent again.
And then you heard the door pull open.
That door was an exit only. If another volunteer had forgotten something or come back this late for any other reason, theyâd have taken the side path up to the front and unlocked the front door instead just as you had a couple of hours ago.
There was no key to the back door. It was always locked on the outside.
Unless the latch had just been broken off.
Which would explain the banging.
Your heart was moving into your throat by then as youâd sidestepped into the nearest room in the dark.
It was this facilityâs single operating room.
And by some grace above you didnât run into anything. You squatted with your back to the wall as you fumbled to pull your phone fully from your purse.
You couldnât remember if the emergency dispatch in this area was setup to accept text messages like they could in the city.
If you spoke into this silence to call someone, itâd be the equivalent to screaming though.
Your hands were shaking as you typed instead.
And it was additionally cruel really.
Because your mind hadnât yet overwritten years worth of habit, even as much as heâd hurt you.
You found yourself texting your ex.
<break in. call police. the rehab. help>
Your fingers moved faster than you thought youâd ever commanded them to then. Youâd hit send and watched as that message changed to delivered.
And thenâŠ
You heard that stupid trill of his phone from the hallway.Â
That custom alert youâd heard far too many times to count as his phone had always gone off at all hours from important clients in the duration youâd been together.
Your brain stuttered.
And you heard a femaleâs laugh.
âOh, that is embarrassingâŠâ Said the somehow familiar female voice. It was equal parts amusement and mockery now. âSheâs still here alright.â
And then a man whose voice you did not recognize, called your name outright before you could think any further. âPlease, (Y/N)âŠthereâs no reason to make this harder than it has to be. Please just come out. Weâre not going to hurt you.â
But the woman quickly disagreed with him. âNo. He said we could do this however we needed to. Weâd still be outside in the rain if it was all up to you.â
âBe silent. Iâm trying to listen.â The man retorted, yet with his voice lowering to match her own irritation.
âHmmâŠno. Not needed. I already smell her.â Came her even sharper response after just another moment.Â
And you heard something clicking on the tile at that, faster than you could believe as it ran closer.
âMonet!â The male voice was right behind it though, dropping into a range more akin to a snarl before a shadow came bursting through that open operating room door towards you.
You knew her name.
In the emergency lighting you only had a moment to see a glimpse of her once beautiful face too, contorted into a ferocity more akin to a rabid animal before she lunged down to meet you at your still crouched position.Â
Her slender hand had closed around your airway as if it were all second nature.
Fingernails too sharp to be real dug in as she forced your back onto the ground.
You were choking. And staring up into the now wild eyes of your ex-fiancĂ©âs young assistant.
Monet.
The girl heâd fucked right in front of you just two days ago.
But then she was gone. Swatted away as if she were nothing in one audible hit.
Your throat was still stinging, scratched but not wholly cut as you tried to sit up in a renewed rush of adrenaline.
âJust take her car and go goddammit! Youâre going to tear this place apart if you canât control yourself! This is exactly why I wanted you to wait outside!â That male voice now had a clear source as well. He stood easily over the both of you. Still with his hand that had struck her splayed out like a claw.
What had to be light blond hair hung messily in his angry eyes as he took your purse and threw it at her.
âTake her car back to her hotel! Keep her phone, and make sure she didnât call anyone!â
It was like he was scolding a child now, as if she had already been told a thousand times how this all should be.
But she was panting, smiling at him even as she did.
âI just want a tasteâŠfor all of our trouble.â She breathed.
And he stepped further between the two of you.
âI said no.â
She hissed through her teeth, but you saw him straighten up in response. His lean body seeming to tighten even more in the dark.
âGo!â And that order was truly a snarl from him that time.
Her eyes widened and she clawed the floor, briefly on all fours before scurrying back up.Â
You could not see her feet clearly in the shadows, but you heard them.
That same clicking sound that had come from the hall before sheâd run in.
Like talons moving across the ground.
You didnât realize how much you were still shaking either before that manâs rock solid grip had grabbed you next.
You were pulled up by your arm.
And Monet was already gone with your purse, meaning she had your keys and phone as well.
Sheâd had your exâs phone too.
Was he even alive any longer?
A sound of desperation left you as this tall man forced you down the hall and to that exit door theyâd first broken in through.
Youâd known it all had to be purposeful then.Â
When the power had been cut, the two outdoor security cameras would have gone down as well.
No one would ever see him dragging you out of this door and into the rainy night.
Theyâd likely waste days interviewing people at the hotel instead once Monet returned your car there.
People youâd never even made eye contact with long enough for them to remember your face would just shrug and say they hadnât noticed anything unusual.
No one would ever find your body.
âWalk.â His voice was still harsh as heâd hurried you outside, across the parking lot, and immediately down a muddied path into the woods.
It wasnât clear which direction heâd even taken you in after just a few minutes.
In the dark, the trails all looked the same. And you could only watch as his clothes hung on him, dripping in the light rain.
The forest had gone silent save for that rain and the two of you. As all animals often quieted when an apex predator moved through.
He was oddly barefoot too, striding across the wet and fallen leaves. Just in pants and a t-shirt which now stuck across his broad chest.
âYou really donât remember me at all, do you?â He asked suddenly.
And you were still floundering mentally, trying to keep up with his long legs in the darkness.
âMy real name is Rosinante.â He said in lack of any answer from you though. âWeâve met before.â And his large hand squeezed your arm tighter.Â
He sounded like his frustration was only growing. His next words were especially accusatory. âIf Iâd had any idea you were still this close to the mountainsâŠwhy didnât you leave?â
His grip hurt, and you were stumbling often now, just trying to keep up.
âI donâtâŠI donât know what you want.â You stammered, sounding so pathetic that it easily could have been a strangerâs voice in your ears then.
âI didnât want him to find you!â He shot back. And at last his relentless pace began to slow. âI thought you moved away! Why the hell would you come back here!?â
And only then was something finally beginning to click within your memories.Â
Because it was that desperation in his voice.Â
Even if that tone was so much deeper now than the boyâs it reminded you of.
ââŠCora?â You asked, your eyes wide while you stared up at this frightening man.
But he looked like something had just broken within him as youâd called him that. Heâd stopped walking entirely, and you saw the true pain which crossed his face.
A lean, handsome face, with messy blond hair and rainwater dripping down in a way that could have easily been mistaken for tears.
Tears just like the young blond youâd found crying alone in the forest one summer.
The teen whoâd said he didnât know what to do any longer. And that heâd missed his parents so much and he just couldnât keep pretending.
Youâd thought he was a runaway. But heâd seemed so close to your own age, you hadnât ratted him out to your aunt and cousins youâd been staying with in the mountain cabin that summer.
Youâd snuck him food instead, and for those few months that summer break, you had hiked out to visit him every day at your and his secret rendezvous spot.
Eventually heâd said you could call him Corazon, or Cora for short. It meant âheartâ in Spanish. The native language from wherever he had really fled from. And a nickname his late mother had given him.
Her little heart.
But he had a big one. Because he was so kind to you. Something you hadnât been used to. And youâd both loved exploring and talking together for hours on end.
Heâd even taught you a special whistle and song heâd said had also come from his mother and original home.
And so often at night you would hear that sound as youâd snuck from your bedroom to see him over and over again.
Heâd known you loved birds by then. That you had dreams of going to school to learn more to help as many of them as you could someday.
But when youâd follow that special sound to find him at night, heâd also point right to where any owl or other raptor youâd missed during the day was hiding that he had found.Â
Just so that you could see them too.
But near the end of that summer, youâd told him youâd have to be going back to the city soon. School would be starting again. You hadnât finished high school yet. But youâd definitely come back next summer before going to college. Youâd promised him that.
Heâd seemed so sad regardless though, and that had hurt you too.
Heâd even disappeared for a few days. You had gotten worried.
But on one of those last nights, youâd heard that special sound again.
So of course you had rushed to it.
But Corazon hadnât been there.
A laugh had come from above you instead in the darkness.
One you could never forget just before youâd thought part of a tree had somehow fallen down on you.
Because your breath had been gone, a heavy weight impacting your chest with a crack of your ribs.
You couldnât even scream. The splayed claws that had first struck your chest, had then spread for thin legs to straddle you as your back had hit the dirt.
And then it had bitten you.
Straight through your shirt and over the top of your shoulder.Â
Your arms had come up uselessly as those fangs had sunken in.
Yet one of your hands had raked against thick, soft feathers, while the other had caught into spiked blond hair.
Utterly nonsensical in those contrasting parts between human and animal as its wings had encircled you.
But the creature had groaned at your every touch. With its long tongue then lapping at your blood running from the flesh it had broken. Â
All while bony hips in torn capris pants had begun to move purposefully against your pajamas.
You hadnât known what to do.Â
Youâd just remembered feeling warm.
But so afraid.
And confused.
And then a furious screech like no bird you had ever heard, came diving down like retribution from the sky.Â
Loud enough that your attacker had had to look upward. His young face framed in your blood within the moonlight while heâd grinned to the heavens.
Heâd been terrifying.
Heâd also been beautiful.
But the two monsters had collided. Wings had scraped the ground, flapping violently while talons had tangled, striking each otherâs bare torsos over and over as theyâd rolled away from you.
The sounds had been fully inhuman, hissing and screaming with splatters of their blood then mixing with yours already on the ground.
Yet youâd been frozen amongst that raw violence.
âGo!â The one with the solid black wings had called out hoarsely though. While itâd tried to even briefly pin down the other one that had attacked you. That slightly larger creature whose wings had been both a dark pink and black.
The one that had still had pieces of your skin within his scowling maw.
âPlease! Go and never come back!â The finality and heartbreak in that plea from your strange protector had also been seared into your memories that night.
The same voice that was now years older, with eyes that much sadder as Corazon still stared down at you in the present day.
âIt is you.â You spoke in quiet shock. âYouâre okay.â
âWhy would you come back!?â He demanded again though, regardless of your sudden realization. âHe saw your face in all those damned pictures Monet brought to him! Heâs been trying to get leverage on everyone from the district attorneyâs office all year. Information about their spouses, their kids, andâŠâ
He sneered. His teeth had grit together. And youâd never seen that expression on Corazon.
He was so angry with you.
âYou were really going to marry that spineless piece of shit from the D.A.âs office!? He sold you out in a heartbeat! Where you worked, where you were stayingâŠeverything. Doffy didnât even have to touch him! He works for him now!â
Doffy.
His brother Doflamingo?
Corazon had told you long before the attack back then that heâd had an older brother.
The one he had really been running from when youâd first met.
But Doflamingo had caught up to you both in the end.
Even if you hadnât fully understood it then.
Because you hadnât known what Corazon truly was.
âI did move away, Cora. I got sent to freaking therapy because my family thought I was acting out for attention!â You blurted defensively.
Theyâd blamed you for sneaking out. Everyone had told you over and over that itâd only been a rabid bobcat, or a coyote, something like that that had gotten a hold of you that night.
The rabies shots that followed had been an awful regimen. But the shouts that you were just a delusional teenager making up stories about boys with bird wings had been even worse.
Itâd been like being branded somehow.Â
A permanent outcast.
And truly, you had been marked. The bite scars on your shoulder were still why youâd never wear a tank top or a swimsuit in public.
Yes, right after veterinary school youâd settled for the first man who hadnât utterly despised you. Your standards had been that low.
But heâd still wanted to chase money and status, and to take his law degree back to the most populated part of the region to accomplish that.
So it was either break up or follow him back towards this place youâd once run from.
Yet how could you know any of this would ever actually find you again? That had been years ago.
Why would they even still remember you?
âYou really donât get it. Do you?â Corazon answered to that disbelief still on your face. âI swore to Doffy that if he let you go that night, Iâd never run from him again. That Iâd submit and serve him just the way heâs always expected the whole world to.â But he made another sound of disgust, shaking his head. âIâm sorry. I really am. But I canât stop him again. Thereâs nothing else he wants that he doesnât already have this time.â
âOh, I wouldnât say I have everything I want.â
Your eyes had still been trained on Corazon, so you didnât miss the way he immediately bristled at the new voice.
Cora stood at his full height then too, looking up to the branches above with hatred etched on his face.
And the monster laughed in response.
Just like that night as your insides twisted for the sound.
But also like Coraâs voice, that laugh was deeper now too.
Even more menacing.
They had both grown up.Â
And now you were all together again.
You moved behind Corazon instinctively as Doflamingo leapt down from the branches overhead.
He landed, letting those massive wings spread as he straightened up.
It was a purposeful display of power and size you were sure while he grinned wide.Â
The whites of his fangs reflected the remaining moonlight almost as much as that single glowing red eye of his. The other eye had been scarred, taken from him long ago.
âDo you know how rare it is for me to come play in the mud with the rest of you any longer?â Doflamingo taunted, crouching a little then to better see you around Corazonâs tall frame.Â
Yet just like back then, there wasnât an ounce of fat on that creature either. It was all tan skin, stretched tight over bones and muscle as you could see his every breath.Â
He was only in dark pants that looked as if they were once the bottom of an expensive, tailored suit.
The mockery of the perfect male form really. Almost human in his silhouette, save for those grand wings where arms should have been, the tail feathers which ran out from the small of his back, and the thinner, scaled over legs coming from the bottom of his pants cuffs. With splayed feet ending in razor sharp talons which now sank into the wet ground beneath him.
His weight shifted, as if he didnât much like that feel of the dirt either. âIâd prefer meeting in my penthouse on East 22nd these days.â Doflamingo taunted as proof of that observation. âButâŠI thought this reunion might get a bit messy. And we did just have new carpets put in.â
âI told you Iâd bring her to the lakehouse though just as youâd asked. Why are you out here already!?â Corazon barked abruptly anyway, yet you could hear that edge of renewed fear already beginning in his voice.
Doflamingoâs head tilted slightly, that amusement only growing in response. âWell, I was feeling nostalgic. How long has it been, Rosi? Since you and I really got to catch prey together?â
âWeâre not doing anything like that!â Cora growled immediately.
âFeh. Quit pretending, little brother. And quit hiding who you really are.â He scolded Corazon outright that time. âThis is what you want too, and we both know it. You wanted it that night as well. I was only trying to show you where to start.â
âYou were going to kill her!â Cora breathed out. His hands had tightened into fists.
âNot necessarily,â Doflamingo still corrected, condescending as anything. âActually, I doubt I would have. Donât you remember why?â And an even deeper cruelty began to seep out with those words.
Something Corazon apparently understood that you did not.
âShut up!âÂ
âOh, stop it. We were young, yes. But not in natureâs eyes. She wouldnât have smelled that way if-â
âI said shut up!â
And Doflamingo laughed again. âYou should have been guarding her better then. Instead of running away to hide just because she was ready that night. She came right to me after allâŠâ
âBecause you tricked her!â
âYou taught her our callâŠwhy wouldnât I use it?â
The special sound.
And Doflamingo did it suddenly then.
His expression changed.
You could mimic it, but not the way they did. It came up from deep within their chests. Like a music note in its pleasantness to you.
Youâd ran from your bed many a summer night to find Cora making that sound for you deep within the woods.
And youâd never really wondered why no one else in the cabin had seemed to notice or wake like you did.
Like this song was only meant for you.
It made your body feel warm again. It made you want to follow.
âStop it!â Coraâs anger snapped you from your daze.
And only then did you realize you had begun to walk towards his brother.
Doflamingo frowned as Corazon had pushed you back behind him once more.
âYou are the shining beacon of utter futility, Rosinante. As always.â He tutted, pausing only a moment longer as he readjusted his rain dampened feathers with some frustration.
The weather had changed to more of a hanging mist now. And you knew it was still cold out here. But you didnât feel it much anymore.
You were still trying to process what Doflamingo had tried to say.Â
She wouldnât have smelled that way if-
Had they been fighting over you becauseâŠ
âCome on, Rosi. Iâve been more than fair here. Stop stalling and change already.â Doflamingo warned a bit more impatiently then, pulling those pink and black wings back closer towards his bare torso.
As if he was just now noticing the cold himself.
âBut why does it have to be her!? You could have anyoneâŠjustâŠpick someone else, Doffy!âÂ
And even as a grown man now, you could still hear so much of that boy within Corazon.
Doflamingo evidently heard it too. âQuit whining!â Was what he snapped back. âIâm tired of seeing you mope around! Gutless and uselessâŠthis isnât solely for me. Over and over you tell me how selfish I am. How cruel I am. And yet I put something desirable out for you, practically force feed it to you, and still you complain!â
âBecause she has a right to choose her own mate!â
âWhat? Like that coward she was already living with? Youâd let a rodent like him usurp whatâs yours!?â
âSheâs NOT property! SheâŠsheâs-â
âSheâs tired of listening to this drivel.â Doflamingo sneered.
And it was all begun there in an instant.
In one lunge and kick, the elder brother had cast his physical lesser decisively to the side.
Your shield was gone.
And you were slammed against the then splintering bark of a tree as that wet maw opened right against your face.
The pain of the hit had made your body try to gasp. But it was as if Doflamingo had known that was exactly what you would do, with his tongue ready to make that his invitation as he forced his way in.
That tongue was warm and long as his wings closed around you.
You were trapped against the tree.
With the sheer heat of his body making you hypersensitive for every place he now pressed himself against you.
This was real.
This was going to happen this time.
And you tasted something metallic on his tongue aa well. A mix of blood and earthiness, warm and purposeful as his fangs bumped against your own far duller teeth.
He had made sure your mouth stayed open long enough as you felt something heavier than his spit slide into it.
âSwallow.â Doflamingo whispered, with his wet lips then still against yours while you felt that odd mixture hit the back of your throat.
You knew exactly what that was.
And what it meant to accept it.
Corazon called your name from somewhere so close as heâd stood again. But there was nothing else he could do.
You didnât want Cora to be hurt either though. You didnât want to ever have to leave him alone with his brother again.
But this was the price of staying.
And you were finally willing to make that deal.
Even if it now pleased the devil himself.
Doflamingo did growl in satisfaction too, his face briefly nuzzling down against yours once you had breathed in again, signaling your throat was clear.
Heâd just fed you for the very first time.
A familial intimacy reserved only for those most dear.
âChange and hold her for me, Rosi.â Came the command to his brother which followed.
But you couldnât look away from him.Â
Doflamingo had straightened his back again. That red eye gleaming down at you.
âMy little Corazon has missed you for so longâŠbut I think he still needs convincing to let that out. So letâs help him. Together. You do want to help himâŠdonât you, my sweet?â And Doflamingoâs voice was taking on a bit of that special resonance again.
As he stepped back away from the tree, you did follow without being stopped this time. His soft wings grazed your sides.Â
It felt so very good.
You wanted to bury yourself within the affection of those wings and never rise to see the light again.
But Doflamingo lowered them as he led you further.
Enough that you could now fully see Corazon again.
Corazon with that stricken look of devastation, as if he were watching your death in slow motion right before him. With his eyes even damper now than the weather could possibly be blamed for.
That stab of pain within you for your realization of what he was actually enduring carried even through Doflamingoâs spell on you then.
Your lip quivered. âItâs alright, CoraâŠâ You pleaded softly. âJust do as he saysâŠIâm okay.â
And Doflamingo chuckled.
The heartbreak between the two of you only seemed to fuel him further.
âSee? She already forgives you. So show her what you really are. Letâs finish this.â Doflamingo ordered his brother even more darkly.
You both understood the threat behind those words if either of you should dare disobey him.Â
Coraâs spirit was visibly crumbling.
Which made you feel all the more desperate to touch him, to comfort him.
You had missed him so much too, almost having started to believe that that part of your life really had been some sort of self induced hallucination over the years.
That you hadnât experienced your very first feelings of romantic love with some blond, teen runaway in the woods one summer.
That you actually were just crazy.
âItâs okay.â You reiterated to him. And Doflamingo allowed you to reach for Cora.
The younger brother did take your outstretched hand for a moment too. He squeezed it tightly in his larger one as his eyes offered you a last look of misery.
But that grip was already changing.Â
He had seemingly accepted your choice.
Corazonâs pale skin began to darken along his arms. The shirt he wore which had already been badly torn from Doflamingoâs earlier kick, he now used his other hand to rip off completely.
That fabric was discarded like trash as he then stood before you in only pants, the same as his brother.
And the prior lack of shoes made all the sense in the world as you saw the skin of his feet scaling over and those talons forming against the ground as well.
But the thing that captured your attention the most were the feathers as they began to bud. Piercing through the then fully darkened skin of his arms one by one as cartilage loudly popped and bones shifted.
Corazonâs arms elongated in time with his legs, that wingspan taking shape as he finally let go of your hand to spread those emerging flight feathers before they could touch the ground.
They were all solid black, yet with a rich shine as each moved into its place. His new tail fanned out behind him as well, hanging over the back top of his pants.
He was gorgeous, like a god even.Â
But with glowing red eyes, fangs, and all as you noticed the submissive way he still kept his head down regardless once the transformation was complete.
Like his brother too, Corazonâs bare torso which remained, was all sinew and purpose. Every muscle so clearly defined as he breathed in deeply in his anxiety for your judgment.
But he was no monster to you now.
He was a miracle of nature.
âI like the real you.â You told him gently.
And you saw that true surprise flicker through Corazonâs eyes.
Yet Doflamingoâs impatience had to interrupt.Â
With his equally long birdâs legs, the remaining distance was crossed in a single stride by him. Doflamingo pushed your smaller body roughly against his younger brotherâs.
âNow, is everyone comfortable here?â Doflamingo grinned once more as Corazon caught you instinctively against his wings.
Both of them had to keep their legs bent, squatted really just to keep from towering over you in their true forms.
But neither seemed to mind the inherent size difference either.
By the predatory gleam in Doflamingoâs eye, he surely didnât.
And before you could fully acclimate, your back was now against Corazonâs abdomen while Doflamingo pinned you from the front.
You were caught between them as wings flared and you heard Coraâs fangs hitting together above your head as he snapped at his brother in reflex, not wanting him this close.
âHush.â Doflamingoâs lack of any real anger in response this time only highlighted the implied power difference which still remained between them. âIâll put you back to the ground in an instant if you wish.â He reminded.
Yet it was all overwhelming to you already. Just the combination of their body heats and scents mixing together even before you felt that first movement of Doflamingoâs hips against yours.
âPut those dextrous little fingers to good use, sweet girl.â He ordered then, shifting his hips again to try and rub the waistband of his pants against your hand. âThe stronger male always gets first rights of course.â
And you felt Corazonâs body tense with disgust. As if he was going to try and fight for your sake anyway.
Which you still couldnât allow.
Because you knew he wouldnât give up until Doflamingo had made him into a bloody pulp.
Corazon still cared for you that much.
Just as you cared for him enough to prevent that fate.Â
âItâs alright. I do want this.â You said as loud as the brief rise of your own bravery would allow.
Corazon took a harsh breath.
But Doflamingo just pushed what was now an obvious bulge harder against your hand in response.
âSmart little thing.â He taunted as your fingers first made it to the button of his pants.
It was all you could do to keep your hands from trembling though as you undid that button and lowered the zipper to free what was growing for you beneath.
You didnât know what to fully expect of course when dealing with someone that was neither fully man or beast.
Yet your intuition told you not to hesitate. That hesitation would only risk his violence returning. Doflamingo wanted you to touch him immediately as your fingers ran down that muscular V shape which dipped from his navel to his pubic region.
He wore no underwear. But there wasnât any coarse hair there either to protect him. Just the slightest bit of downy underlayer as the pads of your fingertips found and massaged through it.
It was more wispy fluff than actual feather, soft as anything youâd ever felt as he leaned his head back in clear pleasure.
Of course, you couldnât avoid the thick base which emerged from that softness either.
Further hardening so quickly as it kept rising up once freed.
His long cock bumped against your stomach in no time, thick and twitching once already.
It looked familiar enough, save for the damn size of it that you didnât know how the hell you wouldnât be injured by.
âEverything off. Now.â Doflamingo growled abruptly though. Foreplay not seeming to be a priority for him in this moment as you were then ordered to disrobe.
And Corazon had gone silent now.Â
You could still feel the tension of Cora against your back before you began to undress.
Your own humiliation certainly didnât matter to you by this point though. That would be the least of your problems as pieces of your clothing hit the wet ground one after another.
Coat, shoes, shirt, pants, and underwear were all quickly put out of the way. Until it was just you and all that you were in the cold night air.
âDonât cover her. I want to see it all.â Doflamingo warned his brother immediately though as Corazonâs wings had tried to shift against you.Â
And the little bit of room that Doflamingo had allowed you in order to undress was swiftly taken back as he now pressed you skin to skin as soon as he could.
âYesâŠthis is what we should have done years ago. If my little brother hadnât been such a prude with a stick up his ass.â
Corazon growled lowly to that.Â
But notably, he made no move to stop his brother this time as Doflamingo kept rubbing his cock against your skin. The head of it had begun to weep. Yet Doflamingoâs gaze had now focused onto that prominent scar on your shoulder.
The one his own fangs had previously given you.
âDid Rosi ever tell you that our kind canât procreate on their own?â Doflamingo questioned teasingly then, seemingly at random as his tongue ran out over that scar, almost with a reverence while he licked your shoulder until it glistened with his saliva. âYou seeâŠif you breed two winged parents together, all theyâll have is miscarriages. But one winged parent and a humanâŠâ
âDoffy.â Corazon warned with his own wings still staying protectively close. âThat doesnât matter right now. Just donât hurt her.â
âItâll matter eventually.â Doflamingo contested with a lustful smirk.
And your knees were feeling weaker as the boys did this routine again. Falling into that lopsided codependency they had for one another, bickering even with you pressed right between them.
It was a toxic bond they shared and were so determined to now add you to.
Just like Doflamingo had first tried to back then.
But even he had gained some maturity in the time between. Evidenced by the way he first teased the head of himself at your already surprisingly wet entrance instead of just plunging straight inside.
Whether that wetness was your bodyâs attempt at self preservation or your own willful desire, you werenât yet sure.
But it wasnât as bad as it could have been. That was clear as he finally began to slowly push his way in.
And when you made that first sound of pain, stretching too much almost immediately, Doflamingo actually paused.
The feathers of his wings ruffled. Somehow the brothers were now tolerating each other enough to not react when their wings bumped one another either.
Yet Corazonâs chest hummed against your back as you felt him bend to put his lips against your neck, near your ear in response to your pain.
âRelaxâŠIâm here.â He promised, even then still trying to protect you.
And you exhaled, feeling that inner warmth once more. Corazon was using that special tone again, resonating through you as you rested your head back against him.
Cora was soothing you as his brother began to push again.
Your were fully walled in too. Corazonâs chest to your back, against him with your thighs spread for his brother. And Doflamingo in front, taking that offering, his legs bent enough for your hips to line up as he slid in deeper and deeper.
And both their wings were to your sides. They were holding you up together as Doflamingo at last bottomed out against your cervix.
You felt like he could have split you in two if he had wanted to.
But Coraâs song just continued, calming and satisfying as you stared up at Doflamingo while he let out a surprising whine with you clenched so tightly around his extraordinary cock.
âOhâŠoh, fuck she feels so good.â Doflamingo breathed next. âKeep her calmâŠI have to move. Keep her just like this.â He was still instructing Corazon even as his sharp hips began to slowly, ever so slowly, slide back and then forward again. The skin of his cock was dragging against your insides.
And you shuddered. Everything felt like more than you could possibly take.Â
But Doflamingoâs initial whine soon became moans. He was falling apart even faster than you as his wings closed tighter around you and his movements increased.
His feathers kept shifting, his pupil was dilating.
Yet as he almost grimaced in what appeared to be an abrupt brush with overstimulation, you had your very first inkling that they did not get to use these true forms often.
This was a rare intimacy.Â
Maybe even completely unique for them.
The opportunity to be with a partner in their actual bodies. With all the heightened senses and raw feelings that must entail.
You were barely even a participant, and yet you were overwhelming Doflamingo as he slouched forward with his hips still pumping.
His chin was resting on one of your shoulders then, while Corazonâs was resting on your other from the opposite direction.
âI canât evenâŠhell, I canâtâŠâ Doflamingo nearly laughed in disbelief.
And you felt him tremble all over as he thrust briefly harder, much rougher then as you cried out a little. But only for three or four more deep hits before his hips stilled abruptly.
The heat inside was immediate, spilling out into you as Doflamingo held himself in as close to the hilt as he could be.
But he was too big to be flush against you, just doing his best as he buried his face beside yours and you already felt his excess seed running out down your thighs to drip onto the ground.
The forest was so quiet again. Save for Doflamingoâs uneven breaths.
âDammitâŠâ He cursed quietly, sounding an odd mix of both placated and highly disappointed. âI need to try again. That wasnât enough.â
But you were still aching, regardless of Doflamingo already softening within you from what he perceived as a premature release.
âNo. You already came. It counts.â Corazonâs voice returned then and there however. His wings were trying to push Doflamingoâs further away.
And those wingtips were far more prehensile than a normal birdâs once Cora decided to just pull you away from his brother instead by your waist not long after.Â
It made a lewd sound when Doflamingoâs wet cock slid out of you with that sudden increase in distance. Then hanging soft in a mess of both your fluids between his legs.
He glowered at Corazon as your warmth was removed from his body once more.Â
And you feared they would now fight again.
Doflamingo did briefly bare his fangs.Â
But Cora had turned you to face only him then as he moved his wings to push against the side of his own pants next.
You werenât even done dripping from his brother yet. But you saw the full desire now in Corazonâs eyes.
Heâd had to watch everything.Â
And he had needs too.
Ones you were sure he had been too afraid to ever tell you up until tonight.
âHere.â You reached out, helping Cora as you tugged at his pants to slip them the rest of the way off of his hips.
Fair was fair.
What you did for one brother, you knew you had to do for the other.
Even if Doflamingo was now finding the concept of waiting for his second turn much more difficult than heâd originally envisioned.Â
Corazon was wearing boxers. Ones that already looked a bit too tight for him just as you felt Doflamingo step back behind you.
Cora clearly bristled, not appreciating that. But you did your best to deescalate them again.
They had their own hierarchy and rules as all flocks did you were sure.
Doflamingo was the leader of them all without question. But his own neediness and vulnerabilities were far more apparent to you now.
It was a bold risk, and you didnât move too quickly. But you did reach behind you then to massage your hand along Doflamingoâs hip and thigh. Acknowledging him at your back, and rewarding even his few moments of patience with physical touch.
Maybe that affection had surprised him.
Heâd stilled again either way, and that was all the time that Corazon had needed to slide his own underwear down enough to uncover himself.
Your face felt flushed at the sight.Â
Because Cora was already rock hard. Perhaps not the full length of his brother, but no less intimidating for you.
With Doflamingo still right there however, Cora didnât hesitate. He wouldnât lose this opportunity.
You gasped as Corazon pressed himself right into the wetness his brother had already made within you.
Your insides stretched and filled tight as anything all over again as Cora breathed your name and began immediately rocking his hips.
Doflamingo was then growling behind you in jealous response, so your hand had to move back between his legs to stimulate him too.Â
You were fondling the older brotherâs still softened shaft as he twitched it wantingly in your palm.
While the younger brother quickly fell into a deep rhythm inside of you, pumping your bodies together as nature had always intended.
It didnât even feel wrong.
Because they both needed you.
And you needed them.
Or you would now.
And as Corazon scraped inside you just right, steady and sure, your orgasm was quickly building even while Doflamingo began to stiffen again within your hand.
You just stroked him harder in rhythm to his brotherâs thrusts.
You could see the future already.Â
There would be babies.
Multiple babies.
One mother, two different fathers.Â
Nature was like that sometimes. Especially with a rare species that needed all the help it could get.
Itâd just be easier to share the resources. To have two strong mates protecting you instead of only one.
Doflamingo was already getting ready to cum again too. You could hear it in his panting as he fucked your hand so roughly then.
But it was the combination of Coraâs steady pumping and Doflamingoâs desperate movements that finally sent you over the edge.
You felt your channel spasm around Cora, who repaid that pleasure immediately with a hard shudder as he released his own seed in powerful shots to mix with what youâd already received from his brother.
Corazon did get it all in, just barely though before those pink wings were grabbing you backward abruptly.Â
Yet again you were pulled off of a wet cock that had just finished as Doflamingo slid himself right back into your now fully swollen folds from behind.
His wings pushed you, then making you bend forward at the waist so he could fully mount you from behind this time. You didnât even have the chance to recover from the orgasm youâd just had before Doflamingo was pounding you so hard against your ass.
You were panting too, trembling for the contrast of his soft wings holding you up on the outside while he utterly wrecked you on the inside.
âCome onâŠI need you to cum on me tooâŠIâm not stopping this until you do.â Doflamingo threatened you. Evidently not at all missing your visible orgasm had with Corazon inside you moments prior.
Yes, everything was always going to be this way too you were sure. Doflamingo would have to have the final word, the final touch. He might share only with his brother. But everything still had to start and end with him.
He was the dominant male of this territory.
âDoflamingoâŠâ You tried his name in some very minor bid for mercy. You couldnât think straight enough to will another orgasm back out so soon.
But you had to.
You glanced back up towards Corazon, who still seemed a bit dazed from his own release.
But his eyes did meet yours, even as his brother now fucked you raw from only footsteps away.
Yet, it wasnât the full sadness from earlier in Coraâs stare any longer. You saw real lust for you still so heavy in those red eyes then. That look which said he would also love to do this to you if youâd only ask him for it.
Corazon would do anything you wanted him to going forward.
And that thought was enough to bring the coil of warmth into your stomach again.Â
You were going to be fine. You would survive.
Youâd never have to sit in a room alone again either and worry about who or what future awaited you on the other side.
Because your monsters were already here. And they had chosen you.
You moaned loudly. Both of these men in your mind, together again while that pleasure sent your body into ecstasy one more time.
You came with that cry for Doflamingo as he orgasmed gladly in return to flood your poor channel yet again with his seed.Â
Your abused cunt was dripping and your body shaking before Doflamingo pulled you fully back against his chest, wrapping his warm wings around you protectively.
His voice was a bit uneven, matching his rough breathing now. âLetâs go home then. All three of us. Tonight and forever.â
And Corazon smiled slightly at last to that rare sentiment. A remarkable expression in its own right.Â
Because maybe Cora was finally realizing as you had that the worst was not truly the worst.
Doflamingo wasnât going to let anything happen to you now.
This deal had been made and the ink was already dry.
Cora used his feathers to awkwardly pull up his underwear and pants before he idly began collecting your clothing for you soon after.
âYouâre going to need bigger beds then, Doffy. Both at the lakehouse and the penthouse.â Corazon said quietly as he looked back to the two of you who were still recovering.
Doflamingo smirked, not disagreeing this time. âThatâd be much easier than arguing whose bed sheâll get in each night, wouldnât it?â
Youâd lay with them both of course.
But Doflamingo nipped your ear for good measure too as his feathers rubbed more possessively across your abdomen.
âYes. Weâll have quite a nest going on soon enough.â He grinned wide in anticipation of this truth. âLittle ones never like to sleep alone either after all.â
ââââââââââ
End.
Thank you for reading! â€ïžđ

10. "do you ever think about us like⊠as more than friends?" With Joshuaa pls<3<3<<3 and female

fluff prompt #10: "do you ever think about us like... as more than friends?"
it was quiet in the living room, the kind of quiet that felt rare. the only sounds were the soft hum of the heater and the occasional rustle of your blanket as you shifted on the couch. joshua sat at the other end, his legs stretched out, one arm draped casually over the back of the sofa.
he tried to focus on the movie playing on the tv, but his attention kept wandering. the way your head rested against the cushion, the way your lips curved ever so slightly when something funny happened on screenâeven when you werenât looking at him, you managed to pull his thoughts in your direction.
he didnât even know when it started. maybe it was the way you always remembered the little things, like how he liked his coffee or which songs he couldnât resist humming along to. maybe it was the way you laughed, so genuine and bright, it felt like sunshine.
whatever it was, it had been consuming him for months, this question that he couldnât shake.
âyou okay?â your voice broke through his thoughts, soft and warm, pulling him back to the present.
he realized heâd been staring. again.
âyeah,â he said quickly, sitting up straighter. âjust... thinking.â
you raised an eyebrow, tilting your head to look at him fully. âabout what?â
he hesitated. this was it. he could feel his heart pick up speed, a dull thud against his ribs.
âabout us,â he said finally, his voice quieter than he intended.
you blinked, surprise flickering across your face. âus?â
âyeah.â he rubbed the back of his neck, suddenly feeling like every word needed to be chosen carefully. âdo you ever think about us... like, as more than friends?â
the question hung in the air, delicate and unspoken for far too long. he couldnât tell what you were thinkingâyour expression was unreadable, your eyes searching his face like you were trying to piece together a puzzle.
he felt his chest tighten. maybe he shouldnât have said anything. maybeâ
âsometimes,â you said softly, your voice barely above a whisper.
he froze. âreally?â
you nodded, your fingers fidgeting with the edge of your blanket. âi mean, yeah. itâs hard not to, you know? youâre kind of... you.â
his brows furrowed. âwhat does that mean?â
you let out a nervous laugh, finally meeting his gaze. âit means youâre sweet, and thoughtful, and you always know how to make people feel comfortable. and you just... have this way of making everything better. itâs hard not to think about it sometimes.â
joshua felt his heart swell at your words, warmth spreading through his chest. he hadnât expected you to say thatânot so openly, not so honestly.
âi didnât think youâd say yes,â he admitted, his lips curving into a shy smile.
you tilted your head, curiosity lighting up your features. âwhy not?â
âi donât know,â he said with a soft laugh. âmaybe because i was scared you didnât feel the same way.â
âand now?â
his smile widened, his confidence building with every second that passed. he shifted closer to you, closing the space between you just enough to feel your warmth.
ânow iâm wondering if i can ask you out without it being weird,â he said, his voice light but filled with meaning.
your laughter rang out, soft and genuine, and he felt like he could listen to it forever.
âi think you can,â you replied, a playful glint in your eyes.
âyeah?â
âyeah.â
he leaned in a little more, his knee brushing against yours. âwould you say yes?â
âprobably.â
âjust probably?â
you rolled your eyes, but the smile on your face was undeniable. âfine, definitely.â
his grin turned into a full laugh, the kind that made his eyes crinkle at the corners.
âgood,â he said softly, his hand reaching out to tuck a loose strand of hair behind your ear. his fingers lingered for a moment, his touch warm against your skin. âbecause iâve been wanting to ask for a while now.â
you leaned into his touch, your smile softening. âtook you long enough.â
he chuckled, feeling a weight he didnât even know heâd been carrying finally lift.
âbetter late than never,â he said, and this time, it was his turn to stare.
you didnât look away.

â IWAIZUMI HAJIME đđ boxer! iwaizumi đđ
á° word count ; 989
á° content warning ; profanity ă angst ă boxer! iwaizumi ă fighting ă bad people (not explicitly said, but gangsters, mobsters, mafia, etc in mind) ă regret.
âwhat the hell are you doing here?â
a chill runs through your body as the voice floats through the air, miraculously hitting your ears over the noise of the crowd. you donât want to turn around - you canât turn around. your feet are cemented to the ground, held there by the pure fear running through your body.
pure fear might be an overstatement. iwaizumi would never hurt you - you know that. heâs really a sweetheart, but you know heâs going to be indescribably angry at you for showing up. this was his one thing.
at the beginning of your relationship, you had both stated your âone thing that the other could not do. obviously, you had said no cheating. you figured that he would say the same, but then he opened a can of worms by saying, âyou canât ever come watch me box.â
you hadnât even known he was a boxer. sure, he constantly has bruises all over his body, but you assumed it was from working out. the guy was buff.
you take a shaky deep breath, mustering up every bit of courage you have, and turn on your heel. youâre met with a bare chest, glistening in sweat. you stare at it for a moment before tilting your head up to meet his eyes, squeaking quietly when you realize heâs glaring at you.
his face is all messed up - busted lip, bloody nose, a bruise that looks green to be brand new. you frown slightly at the view. you loved watching him fight - watching him win - just a moment ago, but youâve never liked the aftermath.
âhaji!â you breathe out, laughing awkwardly. âbefore you say anything-â his jaw ticks. â-iâm sorry. i know you told me not to come, but-â you sigh, and wrap your arms around yourself. âyou love doing this, and i love you, and i just want to be involved with the things you love. i- iâm sorry.â
heâs still for a moment, eyes still narrowed at you, but his jaw relaxes a bit. eventually, he exhales heavily out of his nose, glancing around before he grabs your arm - careful not to hurt you - and drags you through the crowd. heâs going so fast you barely have time to apologize to the people you run into.
though, judging by the people here, youâre sure theyâre used to it by now.
you end up in a room that reminds you of your high schools old locker room - the ones you used to sneak away with hajime to make out in. there are lockers lining it, benches sat in front of each set of lockers. he sets you down on one of the benches and stands in front of you, arms crossed.
and then itâs quiet again.
âhajime-â
âstop,â he cuts you off. âthis was my one thing, y/n. i told you not to come here- i shouldnât have even told you that i did this shit. jesus christ.â he runs a hand through his hair. âyouâre so- this was really fucking stupid. do you know how dangerous these people are? you could get killed just for laughing at the wrong thing.â
you look down at your hands and sigh, waiting for him to continue. he doesnât, though, and it's quiet again for a long moment. he takes a few steps forward, stopping right in front of you. he puts a hand under your chin and lifts your head so that youâre looking at him.
âi love you,â he says quietly, letting out a breath. âi love you and- and i canât have you showing up here anymore, okay? my handler will-â he stops, pressing his lips together. he tucks a strand of hair behind your ear. âyou canât come again. promise me, y/n. promise me you wonât come again.â
this time, you press your lips together. you know how much this means to him - you know how much you mean to him. but youâre a grown woman. âwhy not?â you ask. âi can take care of myself. i- i took care of myself tonight, didnât i? iâm grown, haji, i can deal with whatever-â
âno, you canât.â he cuts you off with a firm voice, shaking his head. âthese people-â he laughs breathily. âthese people are fucking psychopaths.â
âand youâre not?â you inquire, standing up. you barely reach his nose, but the look on your face gets your point across. âwhat makes you different from all the other people here, hm? what makes you normal compared to these âpsychopathsâ?â
you regret it as soon as the words leave your mouth. a look of hurt flashes across his face for a millisecond, but then his jaw hardens and he furrows his brows. âiâm done with this conversation,â he says, shaking his head. âyouâre leaving. now.â
he grabs your arm once more and takes a step, but you pull your arm away. âiâm not leaving, hajime.â your voice shakes as you speak. âi- i know that this was your one thing, but i just wanted-â
ây/n.â
âare you ever gonna let me finish a fucking sentence?â you exclaim, brows raising. âi mean, fuck, hajime. i just wanted to see you fight! i wanted to see you do the one thing you love more than me!â
your voice echoes off the walls of the locker room. once again, itâs quiet - save for the crowd cheering outside. youâre staring at the top of hajimeâs head - heâd looked down after youâd stopped yelling. you donât know what's going through his mind - you feel like you never do.
eventually, you break the silence with a sigh. âjustâŠâ you shake your head, hugging your arms around yourself. âiâll see you at home, okay? drive safe.â
he doesnât try to stop you as you walk out of the room. he doesnât follow you as you make your way through the crowd. and he doesnât come home that night, either.

*laying on my stomach feet kicking up* thinking about bouncing on tyunâs thick dick and his hands gripping, making bruises. All the while kai is watching and praising *twirls hair looks longingly into the sky*
i needed time to collect myself after this. youre fucking insane. do it again.
you didnt even know these men. when they approached you at the bar and asked that damn question, you shouldve, logically, turned tail and ran. but you didnt.
"how much?"
they were handsome, startlingly so. one thing led to another and now here you were, bouncing on top of one of them. taehyun, you think his name is. you only heard the other one, kai? mumble it in the car ride over. well, actually, you were hardly doing any work at all. it was taehyun, with his sure grip, definitely pressing bruises in the shape of fingerprints onto your hips, who was putting in the work. his arms flexed deliciously as he forced you to ride him, bringing you up and down like you were little more than a fleshlight. your head was foggy, you felt so stuffed full you couldnt possibly think of anything beyond the way his thick cock was stretching you to your limit. youd never gotten such good dick in your fucking life. yeah, you were positively stupid, babbling nonsense and agreeing with whatever nasty, degrading insults taehyun threw at you.
"open your eyes, slut. look at him." taehyun growled somewhere behind you, bringing you down on himself harder as punishment for you not following his order immediately. you blinked once, twice, three times before kai's figure finally swam into focus. he looked like a dream, fluffy blond hair falling over his eyes. his slack-clad thighs spread deliciously and leaving little to the imagination as he palmed himself. he was staring at you down the length of his nose, chin tilted up for added affect. you shivered under that gaze. he looked like sin, alive and dangerous. a smirk ghosted at his lips as he watched you falling apart on his friends cock, obscene sounds of your arrousal making your ears burn a pretty pink.
"what a pretty thing, taking him so well. bet you can hardly breathe, stuffed so full, hm?" he cooed, head tilting to the side slightly as his gaze raked over you again. you shuddered, nodding pathetically like a fucking bobblehead. he tsked, but the sound was mocking. "hes so mean to you, isnt he, pretty? you need some love, dont you?"
"dont worry. we'll give you both."

MDNI BELOW THE CUT
You blink at the papers in front of you, checking once, twice, double checking three times to make sure what you're seeing is correct.Â
You were on a case in Texas, called in by local police after four bodies, two wealthy couples, were found shot execution-style and posed on different park benches throughout Amarillo. While at first, it seemed as though it was your average serial killer, the autopsy report showed that the gunshot wound was done post-mortem- all four victims were murdered by being forced to drink household bleach.Â
You looked down at the papers one more time, noticing that one man, Adam Gilman, cleaned houses of the wealthy, and he purchased a lot of bleach. Way more than needed to clean a few bathrooms.Â
You quickly dial Garcia, and she answers within the first ring.Â
"Ask and you shall receive."Â
"Garcia, what can you find out about Adam Gilman?"
You hear typing from the other end of the line before spewing information, "35-year-old white male, he grew up super rich until his dad pulled his college funding his senior year when his sister went to school to be a doctor. He started paying for her," She suddenly sucked in a breath, "It looks like he had to drop out. He was at Harvard Law. Spiraled downhill from there, sending you the files and address now."Â
"Thanks, Garcia!"Â
You rush into the room where the rest of the team is and run up to Hotch.Â
"Look at this! He fits the profile to a t!"Â
Hotch looks down at his tablet, and you feel eyes glance over to you, about to speak, but Spencer Reid bursts through the doors.Â
"Guys our unsub is Adam Gilman! He lives five minutes from here, and his job is on the way."Â
Hotch nods at you, acknowledging that you have the same information but Reid said it louder, "Let's go."Â
Since you joined the Bureau last year, Spencer Reid has been competing with you. Whereas he was thirty-three with three PhDs, you were twenty-five with the same amount. Of course, he got his when he was much younger, but he still seemed to overcompensate.Â
He was intimidated by you.Â
This wasn't the first time a situation like this had happened. It's almost like he had a radar for when you made a big break, and he wanted to steal the spotlight.Â
And not to mention he hates you for some reason.Â
Ever since your first week in the BAU, Dr. Reid has acted indifferent to you. You understand that change can be uncomfortable, but you have done nothing to deserve this cold shoulder.Â
On your first day, you strutted into the office dressed in a pair of black slacks, a black, v-neck blouse, and some hot pink pumps; being honest, you looked like you owned the place.Â
When Aaron introduced you to the team, you shook everyone's hand except Reid's.Â
"The number of pathogens passed through a handshake is staggering," he stated mater-of-factly while staring at your hand, "it's actually safer to kiss."Â
You laugh and tuck a piece of hair behind your ear, "Although I appreciate the concern, a handshake is actually a sign of peaceful intentions. Soldiers would cover their swords on their left side and shake their right hand to show they mean no harm," you shrug, "but I understand the mysophobia."Â
He nodded at you, a glare suddenly hardening his features, "interesting."Â
He has refused to hold conversation with you, maintain eye contact with you, or be in the same room with you for an extended amount of time ever since.Â
He hates it the most when you're right.Â
After arresting Adam, the team desperately needed to interrogate him. He was denying all claims despite all the evidence against him. In fact, all he has said has been denials. Besides that, he didn't speak. He hadn't asked for a lawyer, hadn't shown any recognition to the couples, and hadn't said anything besides I've never seen those people before.
"We need to make him uncomfortable," Morgan says, "he's running this whole show. We gotta flip the tide."Â
Emily looks up from her Chinese takeout, laughing, "Let's throw Bun and Reid in there."Â
Your eyes widen, and you are suddenly incredibly red. Your face is on fire, and you start looking around panicked.Â
The team started referring to you as 'Bun' over the summer when you all went to a bar together. You accidentally had one too many drinks, and Derek said you were bouncing up and down the whole time.Â
"She's like a Bunny."Â
"Don't call me a Bunny!" You slur, "I'm mean. And vicious."Â
Penelope laughs at you, throwing an arm around your shoulder, "Alright, Bun. Let's go dance!"Â
Ever since that night, the nickname 'bun' stuck.Â
Although Emily suggested you and Reid distracting Adam as a joke, Rossi's lips pull into a smile, "That just might work."Â
Emily sets her food down, suddenly aware that she presented the first good idea so far, "we could dress them up some, make them look like a wealthy couple, and have them ask Adam some questions. It might make him mad enough to break."Â
Aaron looks at you and you gulp subtly, then he looks to Reid, "It's up to you."Â
You look at your feet, frowning, "I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get this guy in jail."Â
Reid simply nods.Â
"Okay," Aaron says, "we'll go get the stuff."Â
You and Spencer remain in the small room while the others rush out to get the things you require for your transformation.Â
"Hi." Your voice comes out quiet.Â
"Hello." He responds blandly.Â
You suddenly realize this is the first time you and Reid have been in a room alone together, so you take the opportunity.Â
"What have I done to you?"Â
Reid's eyebrows shoot up at the confrontation "Huh?"Â
You roll your eyes, "ever since my first day you've avoided me. What did I do?"Â
He scoffs, "I have no idea what you're talking about."Â
"Sure you don't." You sigh and run a hand through your hair, "I'm the only person on the team you practically refuse to talk to."Â
"I'm talking to you right now," he says as if that's a counterargument, "I talk to you all the time."Â
"Yeah, when you're forced to!" You say exasperatedly, "You know everyone on the team's birthdays, all except mine. You know their family situation because you've asked."Â
He shrugs, "I know plenty about you."
"How old am I?"Â
He looks into your eyes calmly, "You're twenty-eight."Â
"I'm twenty-five."Â
Emily suddenly bursts into the room, "There isn't anything for you guys in lost and found. You have to go on a shopping trip. Strauss said a 300 dollar limit."Â
You nod, "I assume that's just for clothes?"Â
"Yes," She answers, "Reid is going to wear Rossi's watch and a wedding band JJ's going to pick up. Both of you will wear a ring." She then looks to you, "We have a lot of jewelry for you to pick through."Â
You nod, standing and Reid rises next to you.Â
Emily tosses you some keys, "be back in an hour."Â
***
The ride to the mall was quiet. You didn't bother talking to Spencer as you drove, and he didn't bother speaking to you.Â
He also kept turning down the radio when you tried to turn it up. It was painfully awkward.Â
Once at the mall, you and Reid split up incredibly fast.Â
He ran to some men's warehouse, and you rushed to the women's section of a department store.Â
You quickly pick up a pair of black pinstriped slacks that hug your curves and a tight, white blouse. You finally grab a black, pinstriped blazer, and you head to check out.Â
On your way, though, a pair of stunning, emerald heels grabs your attention.Â
You walk closer to study them, and god do they look lavish.Â
If you weren't here for work, you would grab them in a heartbeat, but you were, and you had already met your price cap.Â
"Buy them."Â
You hear Spencer's voice from behind you, and you jump, grabbing your chest in fright.
"What?"Â
"Get them," he shrugs, "it's obvious you want to."Â
You laugh shyly, and he stuffs his hands into his jean pockets, his bag of clothes hanging around his wrist.Â
"I've already met my limit."Â
"Okay?"
You frown, studying him. He looks calm and relaxed. You tilt your head slightly, and he matches your movement.Â
No, that can't be right.Â
You cross your arms in a silent stare down, and he does, too.Â
"You're mimicking me."Â
He scoffs, "God, Bun, not everything I do is to spite you!"Â
Your eyes widen and you suddenly point at him, "You!"
"What?"Â
"You just called me Bun!"Â
His eyes barely widen, but he catches himself, staring straight ahead.Â
His foot stops tapping, "you're hearing things."Â
"And that's your tell!" You point at his foot, "You just mimicked me, called me 'Bun', and then lied about it!"Â
He rolls his eyes, "what size are you?"Â
"You're avoiding the question!"Â
"You didn't ask a question." He gestures to the heels, "What size?"Â
"Why?"Â
"Answer the question, Bunny."Â
His tone is stern, and you freeze under his stare.Â
"Nine."Â
He nods and grabs a box in that size.Â
"No!" You protest, "Don't!"
"I still had a hundred bucks left over, it's on the company's card."Â
You blink twice, confused as to why he's being so nice to you.Â
"Okay. I need to pay and I'm done."Â
He nods to you, and you both check out. He hands you the heels and you let out a quiet thanks while headed to the car.
***
When you got back to the station, the turnaround was dizzying.Â
You were shoved into a room to change, as was Reid.Â
After you changed, JJ came in and whistled.Â
"Sheesh, Bun, you look good!"Â
You laugh and straighten out your jacket, slipping on the heels Spencer bought you today.Â
"Are those new?"
You nod, "yeah, Spencer said he had some left in his budget."Â
She shook her head, "Reid must've bought those with his own money."Â
Your eyes widen, and she laughs, "C'mon, Bun. You need to look at jewelry."Â
You picked out a pair of dainty, diamond earrings, a matching necklace, and several expensive bracelets that had to be physically screwed onto your wrists.Â
Once standing in front of Hotch, Emily gave you the wedding bands JJ had picked up.Â
Yours was a gorgeous gold band with an emerald-cut diamond on top. It was simple, but, God, was it stunning.Â
You slipped it onto your finger and Reid slipped the simple golden band over his, his hands looking all that much better with the ring on it. It makes your mouth water just thinking about his fingers.
You quickly shake your head. No. You hate Spencer Reid. Nothing will change that.Â
Hotch gives you and Reid strict instructions on how to talk to Adam, and then he's sending you in.Â
"Sell it," Aaron says, "this might be our only shot."Â
You give him a curt nod, linking your arm with Reid and smiling as you walk into the interrogation room.Â
Spencer looks down at you with a look of passion you've never seen before. One that you aren't convinced could be fake.Â
As soon as you looked at Adam, you could tell there was something off. He was picking at the skin around his nails and chewing on the skin of his lips where they looked raw and painful.Â
As you sat down in front of him, Spencer was the first to speak.Â
"Who is this guy again, babe?"Â
You held back the shock in your face at the pet name as he put a hand on your thigh. You made a point to twist the wedding ring on your finger before opening the files in front of you.Â
"Adam?" You look up at the man in front of you, "are you Adam?" He nods, and you hum, "Who are you, exactly?"Â
Reid smiles and looks to you, "Play nice." He slides the files over to him, "Harvard law, that's impressive. Did you apply or did your father buy your way in?"
Adam's eyes narrowed, "I applied and got accepted. I was a prodigy."Â
You smile subtly, knowing you and Reid have already gotten him to show more of himself than he had to anyone else.Â
You look at your fake husband and laugh, "I don't think you can decide that you're a prodigy." You look Adam up and down, "my husband, here," you place your hand on Spencer's shoulder, looking at him as if he hung the moon and stars, "he is a prodigy. How old were you when you got your first PhD?"
"Seventeen," he laughed humbly, looking at you, "you flatter me."Â
You smile softly as Reid squeezes your thigh, something Adam could not see and, therefore, was unnecessary. You look at Spencer, but he refuses to meet your eyes.Â
You turn back to Adam, pulling out the photos of the four bodies and showing them to him, "have you met these people before?"Â
He shakes his head, "I've never seen those people before."Â
"Really?" You ask calmly, "You've never, ever, seen Andrea Haskins?"Â
Adam shakes his head.Â
"Never, not once, seen her husband, Kent Haskins, either?"Â
He shakes his head again.Â
Reid sits up straighter, linking his hands together on the table in front of him, "you received a pretty generous amount of money from him every month since... August?"Â
You mentally thank Garcia for that information, and mentally thank Reid for remembering it.Â
Adam sits up straight, too, but falling shorter than Reid, "I clean their house for them, don't mean I've ever met 'em."Â
You hum, "I wouldn't let a stranger into our home, would you?"Â
Reid shakes his head, and Adam gets visibly upset at your interactions. His hands clench to the table ledge, knees bouncing, eyes narrowed.Â
"Say, Adam," you perk up, "how much bleach do you use per house you clean, about?"Â
Adam's eyes trained on me, "you're a smart girl," he then looked to Reid, "with an even smarter husband." He spits the words as if they are poison on his tongue, "You do the math."Â
You stand, smiling softly, "So, not 10 gallons per week?"Â
Adam shrugs, "If that's your calculation."Â
You walk closer to the man, sitting on the table next to him and leaning down to him, "And I assume you also have never met the Coleman's?"
He shakes his head.Â
"Never met anyone in the Coleman family?"Â
"No. God, you people suck at your job."
"That's actually interesting considering we have video footage of your picking up Lacey Coleman from school last Monday. A family doesn't let a stranger house cleaner pick up their child from school."Â
Adam's eyes widen, and you know you have him cornered.Â
"How long had your sister been friends with the Colemans?" Reid interjects.Â
"Don't you dare talk about her."Â
"Why not?" Reid asks simply, "Does she bother you?"Â
"I was going to be a Lawyer, I was going to be successful and make my dad proud of me. Until she ruined it all with her perfect schooling and perfect husband," Adam spits.
"Halley is a pretty successful neurosurgeon, huh? She gets all of daddy's special attention, doesn't she?" You say.
"Get your wife on a leash," Adam says to Reid.Â
"All you wanted was to feel loved, to hear your dad say he's proud of you," you keep talking, "and you were going to kill him because he wouldn't say it."Â
"Shut the hell up, bitch!"Â
"You were getting ready to kill your mom and dad because, hey, why not go straight to the source? Why not kill who made you like this?"Â
"What if your family pulled your funds for a sibling, huh?" He yells to you and Reid, "How would you feel?"Â
The room goes silent and Reid allows you to keep talking, keep getting on his nerves.Â
"His daddy left him when his mom got sick, and my mommy killed herself when I was seven. We worked for our degrees, and we worked even harder for the scholarships that paid for our three PhDs." You hiss, "I would've worked harder to get what I want instead of just expecting it."Â
"You're a bitch," Adam spit in my face.Â
"I could be worse. I could take away a little girl's family. I could kill four innocent people out of my frustration and failure."Â
Reid finally stepped in, grabbing your hand softly and pulling you back to your side of the table.Â
"I didn't kill those people."Â
"That's not what your body is telling us, Adam." Reid states simply, "You are hurt and still are hurting, I understand that. But now so is Lacey. That's on you."Â
Adam's lip quivers, "I didn't hurt Lacey! Lacey was at her friend's house!"Â
Reid rises, grabs your hand gently, and walks to the door, and you follow.
"Hey!" Adam screams, "where are you going? Get back here!"Â
As soon as the door shuts behind you, you let go of Reid's hand. He turns to you and watches your expression shift.Â
"Good work, Bun."Â
You nod, and he looks like he's about to say something else, mouth opening, but then Hotchner walks in.Â
"Great work.âÂ
You smile at Aaron, and Reid stares at you with something dark behind his eyes. He looks nervous, and hungry, and concerned, and certain.Â
"We'll be heading back in 30. Wrap up. Great job, Doctors."Â
***
On the plane, you and Reid are still in your "Rich Couple" personas, not having enough time to change out.Â
You sit near the back of the plane, headphones in, and reading Songs of Innocence and Songs of Experience by William Blake.Â
"Little Lamb who made thee, Dost though know who made thee?"Â
You hear the words of "The Lamb" spoken, causing you to take out your headphones and look to the source: Spencer Reid.Â
He sits across from you as you ask, "You read Blake?"Â
"Blake to Poe to Plath, I don't mind."Â
You narrow your eyes at him, "what do you want?"
"Really?" He asks, "We can't just have a nice moment?"Â
You raise your eyebrows at him, "Not you and me. We don't have nice moments."
His facial features soften, and he sighs, "I'm sorry for acting so harsh toward you. You didn't deserve that."Â
You're shocked by his statement, "Pardon me?"
He runs a hand through his hair, leaning forward and resting his elbows on his knees, "I was scared, Bun. I was the smart one. I convinced myself that was all I could be," his breath hitches and his eyes connect with mine, "I thought if there was someone smarter, more sociable, and nicer than me, they wouldn't need me anymore."Â
"Spence..." you start, and you realize it's the first time you've called him his nickname.Â
He notices it, too, eyes shifting from one of concern to one of understanding, "You're incredibly smart. You're kind, and you're fun to be around. I'm sorry it took me so long to notice that."
You nodded, "thank you."Â
He nods and goes to stand.
"Wait." You quickly speak up and he freezes, "What's... um..." you stutter, "what's your favorite Poe?"Â
Reid smiles, sitting back down, "Annabel Lee."Â
You smile, "Gold-Bug."
He laughs, "Really?"Â
And you nod.Â
****Â
"Let's go get drinks!" Garcia announces as you and the team wrap up your paperwork, and you laugh.Â
"I don't think so," you smile, "not tonight."Â
"C'mon, Bun," Garcia whines "It'll be fun!"
Reid suddenly looked at you, eyes darker, eyes that held you tight in a grip, "Yeah, c'mon, Bun." He says the name with a sensuality you had never heard before. It sent a shiver down your spine, "it'll be fun."Â
You look at him, taking in a shaky breath, "I.. uh, don't have a ride."Â
"I'll drive you," Reid says simply, and the rest of the team just stares at the interaction.Â
Things have changed since the interrogation room, you know that, but did you want to be alone with him already?Â
You look at him, his messy hair, his stubble, and chocolate brown eyes, and your pussy clenches around nothing.Â
You find yourself nodding, mouth too dry to speak.
"Good," he smiles, "follow me."
Your team watches with uncertainty as you walk off with Spencer, and it's almost like they've seen the change, too.Â
No, they're profilers. They know Reid had you wrapped around his finger while reciting Blake.Â
They also knew Spencer had been pining after you since you wore those hot pink heels on the first day of work. But they didn't need to tell you that.Â
Reid guides you to the elevator, and you comply silently. Once the door closes and it's just you two, you turn to Spencer.
"What are you doing?"
"What do you mean?" He responds simply.
You turn to face him, "why are you being so nice to me?"
"I have no idea what you're talking about, Bun."Â
You roll your eyes, "yeah right."Â
The elevator doors open, and he walks you to his car, opening the door for you.
"Thank you," you smile cautiously, and he nods.Â
He sits down in the driver's seat and pulls out of his parking spot. One of his hands rests on the wheel, the other placed on the gearshift. His eyes focus on the road, but they occasionally slide over to you. The silence- although comfortable- practically kills you.
"Why are you being so nice to me?"Â
He glances over at you, and he smirks, "I want to."Â
You look at him, "why?"
He shrugs, "spent too long not doing it."Â
You nod and glance out the window, just as Spencer puts the car in park.Â
As you step out of the car, you hear Derek and Emily from behind you, making a show of letting you know they are also here.Â
You walked over to Morgan and hugged him.
"Hey, Bunny," he smiles and kisses your forehead, "first rounds on me tonight, sweetheart."Â
You laugh, "thank god! Need a handsome man to buy me some drinks!"
Reid scoffs from behind you, but you shrug it off, assuming it was about something Emily had said.Â
It wasn't.Â
As you walk into the bar with Derek's arm around your shoulder, you quickly make your way to the table with Garcia and Rossi.Â
"What are you drinking?" You ask Garcia, gesturing to her hot pink drink in front of her, garnished with cotton candy, strawberries on sticks, and a big, twisty straw.
Gracia's eyes widen, "oh my gosh! You've never been here before??" You shake your head, and she squeals with excitement, "Okay, so, it's called the Cotton Candy Chameleon. It's basically strawberry vodka and coconut rum with strawberry soda! Look!" She picks up the cotton candy and places it into the liquid, watching as it rapidly dissolves, "did you see that?!"Â
"That's why it's called a Chameleon," Derek laughs, arm still around you, "want me to get you one?"Â
You nod happily, "and a shot of Titos? I'll pay you back!"Â
Morgan winks at you, "It's on me, Bun."Â
As he walks toward the bar, you and Garcia continue to chat about anything and everything, her childhood cat, where you grew up, and how Garcia got put on the team.Â
"You were so good at being bad," you laugh, swirling your third Cotton Candy Chameleon that Morgan brought over to you, "that the FBI gave you a job instead of jail time?"Â
She nodded, giggling, "Pretty much. Are you going to take that shot?" She points to the round Rossi had bought for the table.Â
You laugh, quickly picking it up and downing it, "god!"Â
"Woah!" Morgan laughs, hands catching your hips to keep you steady, "careful, Bunny."Â
You feel eyes glaring into you, and you trace them to Reid sitting at the bar. He has his elbow on the bar, leaning into his hand as he watches you with a look of unhappiness.Â
You roll your eyes, finishing the final chug of your drink, and placing a hand on Morgan's chest.Â
"You're warm," you say with a goofy smile, and Derek laughs.
"Oh, really, sweetheart?"Â
You nod, leaning further into him as his hands rest on your hips.Â
You make eye contact with him before you smirk and push away, "I'm going to get another drink."Â
"Hey, Bun!" You turn around to Rossi, his empty glass raised to you, "Get me another old fashioned."Â
You nod, smiling at the older man, and waltzing to the bar, right next to Reid.Â
"You having fun, Bunny?" He asks, voice low.Â
"Yes, sir." You smile, waiting for the bartender to walk over.Â
He sucks in a breath at the title, "You sure are touchy with Morgan," he grits out, staring at you, not quite your eyes, but something a little bit lower.Â
You scoff, "What's it to you?"Â
"Nothing." He spits, eyes connecting with yours, pupils taking over the brown of his eyes.Â
The bartender finally comes up to you, a cute girl in a black, low-cut tank top and some black, short shorts. She has short blonde hair, barely reaching her shoulders and it's curled up and pinned back so her hair is framing her face.Â
She was gorgeous, actually.
"What can I do for ya?" She asks, shaking a drink before breaking the seal and pouring it into a glass.Â
You tell her your order, and that it's on David Rossi's tab, and she nods.Â
Then she turns to Spencer, "What about you handsome?" She says it sultry like she's trying to seduce him, "Need another? I'd be happy to get you somethin' else."Â
Your eyes narrow on her, a deep, red-hot feeling forming in your gut. She doesn't see your stare though, completely focused on Spencer, leaning over the counter so her cleavage is on full display, biting her lip and twirling her hair.Â
You decided then and there that you hated her.Â
Reid tells her that he's okay, water if she insists, and when she comes back with his water, she hands him a napkin with ink scribbled on it, "I get off in 45 if you're interested."
"He's not."Â
The words come out of your lips faster than you could think, your brain taking longer to catch up with your mouth.Â
"Pardon?" She asks you, calm and calculating, "Didn't know you could decide that for him."Â
You laugh cockily, "Oh?" You act fast pulling yourself into Reid's lap before he can protest, but his hands wrap around you, trapping you where you sat, "I think I can."Â
Reid looked at the bartender, then his eyes trailed back to you, "Sorry, Brooklyn, I'm spoken for," his eyes darkened, a sly smile rising on his lips.Â
The bartender walks away to work on your drinks, and you turn all the way to face Reid.Â
"What are you doing, Bun?" He asks, voice low. You shift your hips and he hums, grabbing your waist to stop the movement, "Stop that. Talk to me."Â
You whimper, leaning into his chest, "You were really going to choose some bottle blonde over me?" Your words come out harsh, but it's also the first time you've said what's truly on your mind in front of Reid.
His eyes land back on Brooklyn, and he smirks, "She's pretty, I'll give her that," he looks down at you, right as the bartender places the drinks in front of you, "But you? You're on a whole different level, Bun."Â
You blush and shake your head, just as Brooklyn walks back over to hand you your drinks.Â
As she sets them down she says, "Hey, I'm sorry. I didn't realize you two were a thing."Â
You quickly shake your head, "Don't worry about it," you smile, "neither did he."Â
"In my defense," Spencer laughs, his lips close to your ear, "I didn't know you were an option. If I had, there wouldn't have been a competition."
You shiver when you feel his breath on your neck, "yeah, right. You've hated me since I joined the BAU."
His eyes widened, "Hated you?"Â
You nod softly, a little confused by the question.Â
"Hated isn't the word I would use," He laughed.Â
"What is?" You ask quietly.Â
He leans his head side to side, as if pondering the best way to answer, "obsessed? Intimidated?" He looked at you, a small smirk playing on his lips, "Lusted?"Â
Your eyes widened, "what?"
He shrugs, a hand falling to your thigh, thumb drawing circles, "The way you are entrances me. The way you walk, the way you talk, the way you exist." He leans his head down so his eyes meet yours, "I knew I couldn't do anything about that, so I stayed away. I guess it came off as hatred."Â
The hand that wasn't on your leg reached up to pluck the cotton candy off of your drink, opening his mouth and letting the sugar melt on his tongue.Â
"Mmm," he hummed, eyes still locked with yours, "so sweet, Bun."Â
Your jaw dropped slightly, thighs clenching, and he grips your flesh, "Nuh, uh. What's wrong?" He chuckles as you whine against him, "Use your words."Â
You sit up, straightening and sliding off of his lap, "You're a sick freak, Spencer Reid."Â
He licked his lips, eyes trailing down your body, "I'll bring Rossi his drink, wait by the door."Â
You cross your arms over your chest, but your heart is pounding so loudly you can hear it in your ears, "what makes you think I listen to you?"Â
"Oh, Bunny," his finger lifts your chin, "I'm a profiler. Absolutely everything tells me that you'll listen to me."Â
You roll your eyes and scoff, "And if they ask where we're going?"
A devilish smirk flashes across his lips, and he leans toward your ear, and you can feel his breath on your skin, "you already told them you're tired," he pauses, "I'm going to fuck you to sleep, Doctor."Â
You suck in a shuddering breath, eyes glazing over as he chuckles, pulling away from you.Â
You take a step back, mumbling, "Hurry back."Â
He smiles widely, pupils practically taking over his chocolate eyes, "good girl."Â
You suck in a breath as he turns on his heel, walking over to the team as you wait by the door. Penelope frowns at you, waving, and Emily blows you a kiss.Â
Rossi looks at you calmly, and Derek raises a smooth eyebrow with a smirk.Â
Spencer walks back to you, grabbing your arm as you walk to the car.
Once you get back to his black Dodge Challenger, he presses you against the door, âHow drunk are you right now?â
âFrom one to ten?â You ask, voice quiet, Reid looking at you like youâre a meal.
He nods, hands gripping your hips, âGoddamn it, Bun,â he hisses, âYes, one to ten.â
âFour,â you answer, and his lips slam into yours in a frenzy.
Itâs all tongue and teeth like he couldnât wait a single second longer to taste you. Like it would kill him.Â
Your chest arches into his, hands going to his shoulders, holding on for life in the bruising kiss.Â
He pulls away, his eyes nearly black, eyes filled with an undeniable hunger, and it makes you shiver.Â
A smirk comes over his face as he steps away from you, opening your door, âget in.â
You donât have to be told twice, stepping into the car, carefully so you donât fall in the emerald heels he bought you.
With his own money.
âSpencer?â
He turns on the car and pulls out of the parking spot, âYeah?âÂ
You look at him, studying how you are both still dressed like a posh-rich couple, âYou bought me these heels.âÂ
He nods, chuckling and placing his hand on your thigh, âExcellent observation.â
You shudder at the contact, âwith your own money.âÂ
He smirks, âWho told you that?â
âJJ?â
âAh,â he laughs, âYeah, greenâs your color.â
You raise an eyebrow, âHow did you decide that?â
âA few weeks ago you wore this emerald green sweater,â he says, âIt looked so goddamn good on you.â
You recall the memory, smiling softly, âIs that why you were avoiding me? You thought I looked pretty?â
His voice gets stern, face serious when he looks over at you, âStop talking, Bun.â
A belly laugh escapes your mouth, head thrown back as you cackle, âI thought I pissed you off somehow!â
He gives your thigh a sharp squeeze, âI donât think Iâve ever been genuinely angry with you.â
You sit dumbfounded, a quiet oh slipping past your closed lips.Â
He looks at you and parks the car, âIâve been upset, frustrated, and God have I been irritated with you,â he turns to look at you, pulling his hand away from your leg, âBut I have never been angry with you.âÂ
He unbuckles quickly as you stare at him in surprise, and he gets out of the car, rushing around to open your door, âhurry up.â
You stumble out of the car, and he puts a hand on the small of your back, ushering you into his apartment.
You donât get a chance to fully appreciate the chaotic charm of Spencer Reidâs place. As soon as you notice the books piled up everywhere, he spins you around, pressing your back against the door and capturing your lips in another kiss. This kiss is slower and more controlled, with his hands sliding up your sides to your back, one hand tangling in the hair at the base of your neck. You ball his shirt into your hands, pulling him impossibly closer.
âGod, Bun, your fucking intoxicating,â he sighs against your lips, hands slipping under your shirt to rest on your bare hips, and you sigh at the contact.Â
He smirks, trailing wet kisses down your neck, gently grazing his teeth over your pulse point, and you moan, âthere she is,â he mumbles, âbeen wanting to hear you make those pretty little sounds for a while.â
You whimper, âShut up.â
He laughs, tugging you away from the door, and guiding you into his bedroom.Â
You shed off your suit jacket, and he rips your shirt over your head before pushing you down on his mattress. You gasp as you fall, Spencer's hands quickly move to your slacks, unbuttoning them and looking up at you with eyes so fiery you feel your whole body set aflame.Â
âYes,â you say, noticing the silent question Spencer is asking you, âplease, yes.âÂ
He smirks, kissing the skin just above the waistline of your pants before tugging them down, and you lift your hips to help him slide them off.
He throws the items into the corner of his room, sitting up and looking at you: dressed in nothing but a black bra and matching panties, his eyes darken. He slides his hands down your body, and he practically growls when he feels your sopping wet cunt.
âGod dammit, youâre so wet Bunny,â he says, his finger sliding over the soaked fabric of your panties, âsuch a silly girl, thinking I could want anyone but you.â
You whimper at the comment, and he leans down to kiss your upper thigh, slowly spreading your legs apart with the palms of his hands. Your legs widen as he settles in, kissing slowly up and around them, licking, sucking, and biting until youâre littered with heart-shaped marks.Â
âGonna show you how much I wanted you,â he hisses, his hot breath fanning over your covered pussy, âgotta let you know how dumb you are for thinking I was anyoneâs but yours.â
You whimper shamelessly at the comment, your legs trying to close, desperate for any kind of friction.
âOh, you like that, donât you, Bunny?â he laughs, looking up at you from between your thighs, âYou like it when I tell you just how stupid you are? How fuckinâ useless that little brain of yours is?â
You nod rapidly, and Spencer licks a thick stripe over your clothed core. You let out a loud gasp, your head lolling to the side at the much-appreciated attention. He pushes your underwear to the side, diving into your pussy like a man starved. Spencer kitten licks your clit before pulling it into his mouth and sucking harshly, and your back arches from the bed.
âFuck, Spence,â you moan, hands shooting into his hair, âso fuckin good, feels so good.â
âMmm, there you go, baby,â he says, his index finger circling your entrance, âlet me know how good Iâm doing,â and his finger slowly pushes into you as his mouth reconnects to your hot skin.
Spencer Reid was talented with his tongue, but, god, his fingers were a whole other story.
He curled his finger toward him, finding that sweet, gummy spot inside you almost immediately, abusing it before inserting another and scissoring his fingers.
âYouâre so tight,â he mumbles against your cunt, and a loud moan slips from your lips, your hands tangling into his hair as you desperately try to grind against his tongue, but he puts a hand over your stomach, holding you down.
He continues his torment, fingers working you open and his tongue moving rapidly through your folds. His fingers drag down your front wall slowly, and you canât help his name slipping off of your tongue.Â
He smirks, looking up at you, âAtta girl, Bunny. Let everyone know whoâs making you feel this good.â
You moan loudly as he continues his torment. Your legs start to shake, his tongue swirling circles around your clit, teeth grazing the sensitive skin, and one of your hands grabs your breast to ground you. Your breathing gets ragged, and itâs all you can do to stop yourself from screaming.
âYou gonna cum for me, Bunny?â He asks, voice low, âGonna cum all over my fingers?â
You nod, and he tskâs.
âWithout asking?â He says, a smirk on his perfect lips, slowing his fingers down and moving to kiss the insides of your thighs, âNot even going to ask after Iâve worked so hard for you?â
You throw your head back with a groan, âPlease, Spencer!â
âPlease what?â
You consider slapping him, telling him to stop treating you like some desperate slut, but in your current state? You might as well be.
âPlease let me cum! Iâve been so good for you, Spence, Iâll be so good!â
âYeah? You going to be my good girl?â he asks, eyes locking with yours, eyebrows raised, as he speeds up his fingers inside of your spasming pussy, âYou promise?â
âPromise! Please, Spence, let me cum for you!â
He pauses for a second like heâs thinking, the smirk on his face growing, âcum for me, Bunny,â and he watches your face, jaw dropped as you orgasm around his fingers, your slick coating his palm and dripping onto the sheets below you as he works you through your bliss. Â
Once you come down, though, his fingers don't stop moving, his thumb moving to rub tight circles on your pulsing clit, âYouâve got another one in you,â he says as you bite your lip and your eyes water slightly, âCâmon, baby, you can give me another, right?â
You nod your head, your lip tugged between your teeth, your legs still shaking. He doesnât give you time to breathe, just continues to suck and lick on your clit like itâs what he was made for, and, before you know it, your eyes clench shut as you rapidly approach another orgasm.
Little whimpers leave your lips, and Spencer chuckles slightly, âMy poor girl, so desperate for me. I can tell youâre getting close again, huh?â
âYes, sir,â you whisper, and he speeds up his pace, your jaw dropping into a silent âoâ.
He kisses your stomach, holding your shaking legs with his free hand, âGive it to me, Bun.â
And you release with reckless ambition, thighs flung open and a hand gripping the sheets for your life as a string of moans leaves your lips. Spencer removes his fingers and moves down to lick up your come, and you have no choice but to whimper. He smirks and pulls away from your cunt, placing his lips hot on your own, and you taste yourself.
âYouâre so sweet, Bunny. Sweeter than candy,â he sighs, hands sliding down your chest.
You whimper, forcing your hands into his hair in another soul-crushing kiss, and he chuckles into it.Â
âDesperate for something?âÂ
And you nod, one hand trailing down the front of his body, grabbing his dick covered by his pants and he groans.
âYou want this cock, Baby?â He lifts off of you, sitting with his knees on either side of your body while he quickly undoes the top two buttons of his shirt before deeming it useless and pulling it over his head while your hands make quick work of his pants, pulling off his belt and tugging his pants and boxers down enough to free his aching cock.
You moan at the sight, immediately leaning forward to kiss his tip, before he pushes you back onto the bed.Â
âAnother time, Bun,â he grumbles, âneed to feel you around me.âÂ
You moan, nodding and lining him up with your quivering pussy, and he pushes forward just slightly, enough for his tip to pop inside of you, and the groan that leaves his lips is pornographic.Â
âSheâs so fuckinâ tight, baby, can feel her squeezing me.âÂ
You whimper, âplease! More!âÂ
He chuckles darkly at your request, âyeah? You need something?âÂ
You roll your hips forward, pushing him in a little further before he slaps the outside of your thigh harshly.Â
âNuh uh, sweetheart. Iâm gonna take my time with you.âÂ
He emphasizes his words by pulling out slightly, and pushing back in, fucking you with just his tip, and a desperate gasp leaves your lips.Â
âLook at you,â he groans, continuing his torturous motions, âso desperate for my cock. Such a nasty little thing.âÂ
And the thrusts harshly, abruptly sheathing his whole cock inside of you, and your head throws back.Â
He has the audacity to laugh at you, quickening his pace, each thrust hitting causing him to hit your cervix in a blissfully painful way, your eyes rolling back, begging for something. You're not quite sure what, though.Â
âSo fucked out you can't think straight?â He coos, his pace never slowing, âif I knew this was all it took to shut you up Iâd have done it a long time ago.âÂ
And you whine at the thought.Â
He raises an eyebrow, âYou like that idea, don't you, Bunny?â And you nod.Â
Suddenly, he pulls out completely, slapping your thigh again, âRoll over. Hands and knees.âÂ
You quickly comply, supporting yourself on shaky arms and legs, and he trails a hand up your spine before pushing down, forcing your chest to the bed below you.Â
He groans as you arch your back, quickly pushing himself back inside your sopping cunt.,
âSuch pretty holes you got here, baby,â he whispers, spitting onto your asshole as one of his thumbs spreads out the lubricant, causing your breath to hitch.Â
âWanna fill both of them for you, can I do that?âÂ
And you nod recklessly, your head bouncing against the pillows at the speed and power of his thrusts, and he takes your permission to push his thumb into your virgin ass, and the moan that rips through your throat is almost humiliating.Â
âYou like being so full of me, don't you, Bunny?â
And you groan out, âyes! Fuck, Iâm so close, Spencer!âÂ
He laughs as your cunt starts quivering around his cock, his tip bullying that sweet spot inside of you.Â
âI know sweet thing, give it to me. Cum around my cock.âÂ
With permission, you release around him, your pussy clenched around his dick and your ass squeezing his thumb, but he keeps fucking you through it.
His free hand laces through your hair, pulling your head back as you whimper in overstimulation.Â
âTake it,â he groans, mumbling more to himself as his cock twitches inside of you, âcome on, take it like the dirty whore you are. Love having me fill both your nasty holes, fuck.âÂ
His rhythm falters, and he thrusts one or two more times before spilling inside of you, fucking his seed deeper inside of you.Â
Once he calms down, he slowly removes his thumb before carefully pulling out of your pussy, and you whimper at the empty feeling.Â
âStay here,â he whispers, kissing your hip before scrambling to the bathroom for a warm, damp washcloth.Â
He gently wipes you off, murmuring about how good you did for him, saying heâs proud of you before he helps you roll over onto your back.Â
He chuckles at the goofy smile on your lips, eyes tired and droopy, and he pushes the hair that had matted to your skin with sweat out of your face.
âYou okay?â He asks, voice low, and you nod happily.Â
ââM perfect.âÂ
âGood,â he smiles, pulling the comforter over you and cuddling up to your spent body.Â
You lay in silence for a moment, happy and relaxed in his arms, before you speak up.
âSo, you never hated me?âÂ
âJesus Christ, Bun,â he sighs exasperatedly, âgo to sleep.â
