â wrapped around your finger â
powder x female reader
sometimes powder catches herself staring at you.
she would have been in the middle of meddling with one of her personal projects, eyes narrowed and nimble fingers straining to screw a pesky tiny nail, until the next thing she knows is she had suddenly turned to look at you sometime in the middle of working. she has no idea how long she had been staring for, watching you sitting beside her just a few feet away, but she jumps when your head lifts and your eyes land on hers.
looking a little panic-stricken, powder twists herself back around, readjusting her hair.
âhowâs it cominâ along?â your voice sounds from beside her, making her release a breath and smile gently.
âjust have some screws to tighten and light varnishing to apply. after thatâshould be pretty much complete.â powder finalizes looking down at her project with a proud smile, which makes yours widen. oh how adorable she could be without even trying.
you hum in acknowledgment and drag your stool to get closer to her. the only reason you had been sitting farther away from her in the first place was so she could have the room she needed to work on her things. but now she looks set to take a break, and youâll steal any moment you can get your hands on to spend time with her.
after getting permission to touch it you pick up the object and turn it around in your hands, looking closely at all of the details and ridges. powderâs creations never fail to impress you, and it makes you admire her more after each and every one she shows you.
âas perfect as all of your other stuff turns out.â you sigh almost dreamily, placing it back down and looking at powder whoâs already staring at you with a cautious expression. it softens a little and she shrugs carelessly.
âi wouldnât use âperfectâ to describe my works. but i appreciate it anyhow.â powder says, avoiding your gaze and leaning her arm on the table. youâre brows immediately furrow.
âyou should have more confidence in your work. you have a wonderful talent, powder.â you place your hand on her shoulder and lean closer, âshow it off with pride.â
you finalize with a kiss to her freckled cheek.
powderâs cheeks heat up as she smiles down at you gratefully. she feels so incredibly lucky to have you in her life as a supportive figure, and you being her girlfriend at the same time just makes it 100 times better.
filled with an affection, powder takes your hand resting on your lap and laces your fingers together, silently raving at the way it sends happy jitters and butterflies in her stomach. her head rests atop yours when you lean it against her shoulder.
âand i mean it, lovely.â you add firmly, making powder chuckle softly.
âthank you. i appreciate it a lot. more than you probably know.â
you huff a laugh through your nose and lift your head to look up at her closely with a cheeky smile. with your free hand you poke her cheek playfully, âoh, you make it known~, donât worry.â your joke manages to not go over powderâs head, causing her to blush and roll her eyes giggling.
âshut up! you joke about it now, but youâre not laughing once i actually get you wrapped around my finger.â the blue haired girl quips, leaning in close with a smirk and blue eyes filled with something mischievous. that makes your eyes widenâthe overtly sexual innuendo was uncalled for coming from her.
your shoulders bump as you two tease each other back and fourth under your breaths, hushed giggles echoing around the large open space of powderâs private workshop; your bodies subconsciously having gotten closer with hands starting to get curious.
in a moment of silence, your eyes flutter down to powderâs lips. her own doing the same, both of you exchange a silent confirmation and slowly close the distance between you.
unknowingly to both of you, someone is approaching. the sound of footsteps halt and someone clears their throat some 15 feet away. yours and powderâs lips just barely graze when you both hear the intruder, causing you both to jump away with gasps. at the sight of the third person in the room youâre filled with immense annoyance, peeved at being disrupted.
âsorry to intrude, but, vander sent me to look for you. youâre 20 minutes late to your shift.â ekkoâs eyes awkwardly shift around the room before focusing on powder, âyou probably donât wanna keep him waiting much longerâŠâ
you frown. the girl is immediately shooting out of her seat and cursing at herself, knocking things over while scrambling to grab her stuff scattered around the area. you grimace and reach out to help her out.
âfuck, heâs gonna be so mad. iâve never been late before!â
âwe can give him and excuse.â ekko calmly suggests in hopes of calming powder down.
âtell âim you ate too much cheese and couldnât leave the bathroom for an hour.â you smirk. ekko chuckles beside you against the railing, shaking his head.
powder only scoffs. âdonât make this a joke.â she grumbles. she stands up straight and tosses her bag over her shoulder, âwe need to go now. please.â
sheâs already halfway out the door.
the two of you walk down the busy street with your arm hooked around hers, the warm sunny weather making it feel as though someone lit a candle in your chest and made a lovely home there. ekko walks alongside you, rambling passionately about his concepts for an upcoming project of his own while you smile in acknowledgment and give your own comments.
you still deeply wish you could have more time of the day to spend with powder, alas she has a job. but so many hangout ideas are swirling in your brain and making you skip in excitement at the thoughts.
next think you're going to do is sunbathe and go for a swim in the river; a perfect way to celebrate the oncoming summer season.

â waking up on christmas morning ft. ellie, abby, and vi â tlou discord server
the air is cold, snow sticking to the cloudy window. the sky outside was pure, the wind sneaking into the cracks of the window. ELLIE kept you close, hands wrapped around your waist with your back pressed against her chest. the blanket wrapped around both of your frames to shield you from the barren cold. you both know there's presents to be opened but neither of you really find it in you to care. they'll still be there later. you stay there for an hour or so, with her soft kisses along the back of your neck and her stupid christmas puns.
"hey babe," she snickers before she can even start the joke. "what do you call people who have a fear of santa?" she grins widely, laughing to herself knowing she had been planning on telling you this joke for weeks now. you laugh at her silliness, shaking your head, imagining the stupid grin she had on her face. "what?" you inquire. "claustrophobic." she tells eagerly, waiting for your reaction. "god, that'sâ that's stupid." your laughs beginning to mix with hers.
small snowflakes fell down from the sky, painting the ground white. the sun had just barely rose when you stirred awake, excitement immediately flowing through your veins. the covers are thrown off you by your own accord, the chilly air nipping at your skin. you couldn't help yourself, pulling the blankets off ABBY just as you had done to yourself. she groaned, pulling you against her in an attempt to keep herself warm with no blanket. you giggled in her ear, kissing her cheek with too much energy for her liking.
"wake up, wake up." you kiss her cheek between each word. "what time is it?" she questions, face still pressed against her pillow. "who cares, it's christmas!" you exclaim, pulling on her arm to get her up. "it's time for presentsâ ooh! i know exactly which one i want you to open first." you continue to pull on her. "alright, alright, i'm coming..." she lets out a small 'oomph' as she sits up, pulling you into her lap. "merry christmas, my love." she gets sweet and sappy for a moment, kissing your forehead. "we're making coffee first." she demands and you just roll your eyes.
the fire crackles, blankets askew on the floor, barely covering both of your bodies. you slept in front of the fire place, VI insisting she just had to stay up all night to catch santa. you couldn't recall when you both fell asleep, only knowing you felt safe in her arms the night before. vi was the first to wake, eyes wondering to the tree that she was just sleeping 10 feet from. presents littered the skirt of the tree, a smile forming on her face as her eyes flickered between your sleeping form and the presents.
"santa came!" she shook you awake, eliciting a groan from your sleep deprived lips. she wore a toothy smile on her face, knowing it wasn't really santa who put those presents under the tree, but you. "come onnnn. these presents better be opened by 7 am on the dot." she threatened emptily. she leaned down, kissing your face, your shoulders, your stomach, anywhere she could. with each kiss, the grogginess vanished just a little. you had to admit, seeing her this excited made your heart warmer than hot cocoa.

Holidays With the Millers
a firefighter!joel miller x f!reader drabble
series masterlist
rating: explicit. 18+, minors do not interact.
warnings: fluff, a lil surprise, illusions to smut but none actually described.
word count: 1.9k
synopsis: your first of many holidays in the miller household is better than you couldâve ever expected.
a/n: happy holidays everyone đ€
The holidays at the Miller household are⊠well, chaotically organized, to say the least.Â
Turns out, Joel and Tommy put Sarah in charge years ago because they werenât going to get in the way of a then-eleven-year-old who had a bright vision in mind but couldnât execute it without the aid of her dad and uncle.Â
Three years later, her curly hair bounces every which way as her bright green eyes scan the handiwork youâve all done with a thorough inspection.Â
You canât help but want to laugh as you, Joel, Maria and Tommy all stand in a lineâmilitary styleâas she looks between her checklist and the decorations that are hung up brilliantly.Â
Once that familiar bright smile shines at all four of you, you know youâre in the clear.Â
âGreat job this year guys! Gotta give most credit to the ladies though,â Sarah snickers, and Tommy rolls his eyes while Joel barks a laugh.Â
âGlad we passed the inspection, madam. Now get your keister upstairs and finish puttinâ your donations in the box I gave you,â Joel says, raising an eyebrow at Sarah.Â
She salutes him with a giggle. âSir, yes sir.âÂ
Joel had explained to you a couple of weeks back that the entirety of the fire stations in Austin got together and liked to do a toy drive for Christmas. Itâs an annual thing, and all families of employees are welcomed to join in and volunteer.Â
You went and bought a few toys and board games for the event, excited to hand them out.Â
Joel looks down at his watch before looking back at everyone. âThe event starts in an hour. We should get goinâ soon.âÂ
âYouâll be proud of me, brother. I brought my uniform with me.â
âYouâre a grown ass man, Tommy. Knowing you I know Maria reminded you at least twice to not forget it.âÂ
Maria laughs and nudges Tommy in the ribs. âThatâs exactly what happened.âÂ
You all laugh in unison as Tommy holds up his hands in surrender. âI got Dory brain. I donât know what to tell yâall.âÂ
Joel rolls his eyes before looking at you with a smile, jerking his head toward the stairs.Â
âCâmon pretty lady, letâs go finish gettinâ ready.âÂ
âThatâs not code for âletâs get a quickie inâ is it? Cus yâall really ainât as slick as yâall think you are.âÂ
âTommy!â All three of you say in unison, and your face heats before you shake your head.Â
âMind your business and focus on your own sex life, yeah?â Joel says before slapping him upside the back of his head, ushering you upstairs. You can hear Maria faintly scolding him and he just laughs before their voices drown out completely.Â
âJesus Christ, my brother is a pain in the ass,â Joel deadpans.Â
You huff a laugh. âBetter him than Andy and Cole. Theyâd say some even dumber shit and add fuel to the fire.âÂ
âWell,â Joel checks his watch again. âWe do have an hourâŠâÂ
You give him an incredulous look. âAbsolutely not, Miller. Hands to yourself.âÂ
He gives you a pouty look before itâs your turn to roll your eyes, heading into the bathroom to finish getting ready.Â
-
You wish you wouldâve taken Joelâs initial offer. Youâre standing in the firehouse helping handing out the cookies youâve made while subtly making eyes at your ridiculously handsome boyfriend in his uniform, joking with little kids while he gives out presents.Â
You think back to when Joel drunkenly told you he wanted to have kids with you, and suddenly you donât think the prospect is a little insane anymore. Of course, you want to have kids with him, but youâd at least like to be married first⊠and youâre only shy of half a year in a relationship with him.Â
âI know that look. What are you thinking about?â Maria bumps you with her hip, and you flash her a smile.Â
âHow good Joel looks. How good he is with kids.âÂ
âAh, the baby fever bug finally caught you huh?âÂ
âHeâs actually the one who mentioned it. The night they went out. He came home drunk and said, and I quote, âwe should have kidsâ.âÂ
Mariaâs jaw drops as she looks between the two of you. âHe didnât.âÂ
âHe did!â You laugh as you hand someone a cookie, smiling at the kid before looking back up to Maria.Â
âDrunken words speak sober thoughts,â she says, shrugging as she wiggles her brows.Â
âRight. And whenâs that happening for you and Tommy?âÂ
âPlease, that man needs to put a ring on this finger before I carry any of his children.âÂ
You toss your head back in a laugh. âAmen to that.âÂ
âAmen to what?â Joel asks, sliding up beside you.Â
âJust girl talk. You all done handing out toys?âÂ
He eyes you and Maria suspiciously, but you toss a sweet smile his way and all seems to be forgotten.Â
âMhm. I actually came over here for a reason.âÂ
âAnd what would that be?â You quirk a brow as you put a hand on your hip.Â
Joel pulls something from behind his back and hangs it over your heads. You look up to see mistletoe, and you canât help but laugh at how adorably cheesy he is.Â
âIn front of all these people? You sure about that, cowboy?â You ask, putting a hand on his chest as he wraps his free hand around your waist, pulling your body flush to his.Â
âYou know by now I ainât got a dang problem showinâ off my woman,â he says, inching his face closer to yours.Â
His words make butterflies erupt in your stomach, and your face heats. He grins and leans in, pressing his lips to yours for a few seconds before pulling back.Â
âI love you,â he says, pecking your lips twice more before moving back slightly.Â
âI love you too.âÂ
And it hits you: for the first time in a long time, you get to spend a holiday season with your heart full of love with the most loving person.Â
The lights shine a little brighter, the songs sound a little sweeter, and the Christmas magic has finally made its return back into your heart.Â
-
Christmas came and went in a flash. As much as you love the holidays, it saddens you how fast they pass by.Â
It was so nice to see Sarah so excited about opening her stocking and presents to see what you and Joel got her this year. She got some new makeup, clothes, and a vinyl player with some vinyls sheâs been wanting. You also got her a certificate to get a manicure and pedicure done whenever sheâd like to go. That sense of pure love poured into your heart when she gave you a tight hug and thanked you a bunch of times.Â
You got Joel some new tools heâs been wanting, along with his favorite cologne and a few new clothing items. You also got him his absolute favorite coffee beans that he wonât allow himself to splurge on, so you decided to do it for him.Â
The last gift was, in your opinion, a bit cliche, but Joel loved it. Youâd bought some pretty red lacy lingerie with sparkles throughout the material and revealed yourself to him after doing your night routine in the bathroom. You gave him a much needed massage before he used his needy, skilled hands on you and gave you one hell of a blissful night as he unwrapped you like you truly are a present in itself.Â
Itâs New Yearâs Eve now, and Tommy somehow convinces Joel to throw a party to ring in the new year. Everyone in your family is here along with a few of Joel and Tommyâs mutual friends, and youâre all chatting away while eating finger foods and sipping on drinks.Â
Dick Clarkâs New Yearâs Eve special is playing on the flatscreen and thereâs only fifteen minutes left until the clock strikes twelve. Youâre chatting with your mom, Emily and Maria about Emilyâs baby and how sheâs doing before the conversation gets turned to Maria.Â
âSo how long have you and Tommy been together?â Emily asks her, sipping on her sparkling apple cider.Â
âTwo and a half years. Still doesnât feel like it.â She laughs and looks over at him, her smile growing wider.Â
âYou think heâll pop the question soon?â Your mom chimes in, and Maria shrugs.Â
âIâm not sure, honestly. I mean, donât get me wrong. That man has changed for the better within the past couple of years, but sometimes I have no clue whatâs going on in his mind. When he thinks of something, he puts his whole heart into it and heâll make it happen. Weâve talked about marriage before, but itâs not something that comes up too often.âÂ
âMaybe itâll happen soon,â Emily says. You give her a look of confusion, but she doesnât even meet your gaze.Â
âI think Iâll probably know when itâs happening. I love that man with my whole heart but heâs terrible at keeping secrets.âÂ
You laugh as you glance at the countdown clock, noting that itâs only five minutes until twelve.Â
Tommy comes up to Maria and wraps his arms around her shoulders, kissing her cheek as he whispers something in her ear. She nods and smiles at the three of you before standing up.Â
âLadies,â Tommy says with a smile, ushering Maria into the small sea of people. Josh finds Emily, and your mom goes to find your dad so youâre left to munch on the charcuterie board laid out in front of you.Â
It isnât until a minute before midnight that Joel comes up to you and wraps his arms around you as you stand in front him, giving your forehead a kiss as he smiles at you. You look around the room and notice Tommy and Maria are still missing.Â
âWhereâs Tommy and Maria?â You ask, putting a hand on Joelâs chest before your eyes scan the room once again.Â
Joel smirks as he nods his head toward the backyard, and in the faint glow emitted by the Christmas lights outlines their silhouettes. Tommyâs on one knee holding something up as Mariaâs hands cover her mouth, and it clicks for you.Â
âOh my god. Oh my god! You knew about this?!âÂ
Youâre so giddy inside and youâre not even the one being proposed to.Â
âKnew for a few months now,â he says with a deep chuckle. You look back over to them to see her nod her head yes before Tommy slips the ring on her finger. Your eyes well with tears as the indescribable happiness you feel for them courses through you. He leans in to kiss her passionately, and your eyes snap back to Joel.Â
âHappy New Year!â Everyone shouts, startling you before you realize itâs finally twelve.Â
âHappy New Year, darlinâ,â Joel murmurs, tipping your chin so your lips can meet his. You wrap your arms around the back of his neck, getting so lost in his gentle kiss as your mind reels.Â
So much has changed for you this year. You feel like youâve lived twenty lives all wrapped up in three hundred and sixty five days, and falling in love was the last thing you expected.Â
Youâve learned so many lessons this year, finally opened up your heart, and have taken a leap of faith that resulted in you being caught by the love of your life.
You canât wait to see what the future holds with you and Joel, because you know itâll be one that is full of security and love.Â
You smile against his lips as you brush your hand through his thick locks, looking into his beautiful brown eyes that felt like home. That are home.Â
âHappy New Year, Joel.âÂ

advent calendar || jeon wonwoo
content warning: none || masterlist
âdo you feel better now?â i whined, looking down at him.
âno, i still need to recharge.â wonwoo singsongs, snuggles deeper into me.
i roll my eyes out of annoyance when i noticed my abandoned book left on the other side of his bed. for the past ten minutes wonwoo and i have been entangled with one another since he got eliminated from his current game. he didnât care to announce himself or do anything but interrupt my reading and cuddle with me.
wonwoo tightens his arms around my waist. if i wasnât in the middle of reading the chapter where asher ditched his big soccer match for scarlett, i would actually be happy to cuddle with wonwoo, but right now i wanted to strangle him.
âhowâs your book?â
âdo.not.ask.me.that.question.â my voice simmering with quite rage. i glare into his brown eyes as he smiles up at me with pleasure.
âsomeone opened her book the wrong way today.â he singsongs teasingly.
âsomeone will end up with a broken arm if they donât untangle themselves and let me finish the chapter i am reading.â i deadpan.
he chuckles burying his face into me, âcute.â
âyou know if i didnât know you two, i would assume youâre dating.â mingyu chimes from the doorway.
wonwoo and i exchange a brief eye contact. something sparks between us but we both look away before either of us could say something.
âi thought you left already?â wonwooâs voice softly.
âi am just leaving but i wanted to stop by your room real quick to see my favorite couple.â
âwe are not a couple.â i spat.
âthen why are you wearing wonwooâs hoodie in wonwooâs bed cuddling with wonwoo? you know you two look quite comfortable. all he has to do is lean up and wonwoo can kiss you.â mingyu teases.
i glance down at my outfit and feel my body start to go warm feeling flustered. mingnth did have a point but he never lets me breathe without joking about how wonwoo and i are couple or could be couple. honestly i would be lying if i said i donât think about wonwoo and i being more than friends because i do. moments like this where we are cuddling in his bed and he teases me about the current book i am reading and the lines of couple and friend blur. i mentally smack myself from spiraling deeper into thoughts and look back at mingyu.
âjust get out of here and go on your gym date with dino.â i scoffed.
âbeing kicked out of my own house by my best friendâs best friend, thatâs new.â his voice dripping with sarcasm. he sticks his tongue out me, âlet me know if anything changes between you since i am the other half that lives here too. i would like an advance warning before everyone else.â
i reach for wonwooâs pillow launching in his directions but mingyu misses my hit when closes the door. wonwoo laughs walking back to his computer.
âyou know he only does that to get a rise out of you, right? you always cave into his attention.â
âyeah, i know. i gotta throw him a bone every now and then otherwise i have no one to go back and forth with.â i giggled, falling back further into wonwooâs bed.
i reach over for my book getting lost in the pages. wonwoo groans stretching out his body before heading down the hall for the restroom. i set my book down too taking my annual stretch. when i stretch my arms my fingers reach a thin silky paper under his other pillows.
christmas wrapping paper. wonwoo must have been wrapping gifts before i arrived. i reach for my book again trying to read but it didnât last very long. my mind kept wandering back to the gifts wonwoo could have wrapped.
whoâs gift was it? what did he get? how many gifts did this person get? did he spend all year saving up for it? did it cost him a fortune?
i push myself off the bed and went straight to rummaging through his closet. luckily his clothes were all neatly folded which made it easier to skim through the different drawers and cubes. each slam of the cubes or drawers lead to dead end. i skim through the top shelf of his closet hoping to find a wrapped gift.
âwhere is it? where is it?â i thought to myself.
âwhat do you think youâre doing?â wonwoo voice echoes
âi am definitely not snooping or trying to find my christmas gift from you.â i deadpan, turning around at the sound of his voice. âi was just looking for my shirt that i left here last time.
â itâs still in the hamper. havenât done laundry yet.â he says watching me carefully.
i peer behind him noticing the wrapping paper near his desk. if wonwoo suspicious of me snooping he did a good job pretending to not notice.
he leans down to his desk and taps his fingers onto his keyboard, his voice cool and calm, âi didnât wrap your christmas presents yet.â
my body freezes in place and i turn to look at him as warmth floods my cheeks. he knows. i have been caught. a teasing grin forms at his lips making me want to smack him or kiss him. i shudder at the latter walking back to his bed. there is no point in further searching.
wonwoo falls quiet except for talking into his headset with his other team mates. other than that his fingers did most of the work. there was something comforting and relaxing when i heard the the clicks of wonwooâs keyboard. usually i have my headphones on when i read because the clicking can be distracting but most times when i am not reading i love listening to the sound. i donât even realize i have doze off in his bed until i wake up an hour later. i reach my hand out over my body realizing wonwoo had put a blanket on me while i was napping.
âhey sleepyhead, are you fully awake now?â wonwoo asked, from his computer.
i groan nodding my head at him. he glances between his monitor and screen to look at me giggling to himself. he doesnât walk over to me right away. he gives me some time to fully adjust to my surroundings and being awake. i ended up scrolling through my phone for a good ten minutes when he finally stood up and shuts off his computer.
âi have a little surprise for you.â he tells me. âyou have to close your eyes first.â
i furrow my eyebrows together curiously, staring at him. wonwoo doesnât move. he waits for me to close my eyes. i cover my hands over my eyes when i hear shuffling and wonwoo repeatedly reminding me to not peek and keep my eyes covered. each reminder he gave me, i would respond to saying that i am covering my eyes and not peeking.
the bed dips underneath me as he takes a seat next to me. his breath heavy and warm near my skin. if i move my hand to his chest, i swear i could feel his pulse racing like mine.
âokay open your eyes.â his voice mixed with excitement and nerves.
i flutter my eyes open adjusting to my surroundings again. wonwoo holds a giant white woven basket decorated with purple and blue ribbons in the handle. the basket filled with multiple prettily wrapped rectangles covered in snowflakes. i noticed the giant words on the front of the basket reading âbookvent calendarâ.
âoh my god! jeon wonwoo, what did you do?â i try my best to suppress my smile, skimming through each wrapped book.
âi made you a book advent calendar.â he swipes his hand over the basket.
âyes, i can see that but how?â
my heart bursts with excitement skimming through each carefully wrapped book labeled with a number. i noticed a little card attached to the first book and opened it.
welcome to your annual december book advent christmas calendar. open one book each day according to the date up until christmas eve. enjoy, my favorite book reader. (p.s you have to record your reaction to opening each book you open)
- love your favorite gamer
wonwoo goes into explaining how he thought of the idea. how he kept tabs on the books i have read already, what books i talked about wanting to read, and the different types of special editions to my favorite series. every time i talked with him he was able to narrow down his selection to the books he has wrapped in the basket. the way his eyes light up when talking about how the idea came to him and the way his smile only grew bigger and bigger while he explained. something warm and fuzzy floods through my vein making it hard to breathe properly.
âi know how much you love reading and how happy it makes you. plus i know when you a book becomes your favorite because you can yap for hours about it or if you didnât like it then i will never hear you talk about it after the first read.â he smiles. âsometimes when i am playing my games on my computer and i see you reacting to your books, i will either pause my game or just lose just to watch your reaction cause ââ
there havenât been many moments in my life where i was genuinely left speechless and giddy. this is one of those rare moments. to hear wonwoo confess that he loves when i talk about my books to him and how he likes seeing my reactions to them left a warm and giddy feeling. i wanted to sob on the spot over how attentive he is to me. no one in the world would have thought to have done this for me but he did this for me.
âyour silence scares me a little. what do you think?â his voice concerned, staring back at me.
âi think i just fell more in love with you.â i mumbled. it took me a second to realize my words and see wonwooâs eyes widen in shock. âi-i meanâŠâ
âyouâre in love with me?â he asked. a hint of amusement in his voice.
âi-i was talking about the books.â i clarified. âhow i am in love with the books that youâve gotten to me.â
he raises an eyebrow, âyou donât even know which books i got you yet.â
âtrue but that doesnât mean i canât be more in love with them.â i straighten my shoulders, exhaling and inhaling slowly to calm my racing pulse.
âcan i ask you something?â
i nod.
âyou have read so many romance books, if you could write one about us, what trope would you give us? forced proximity? friends to lovers?â he glances at me knowingly.
âyouâre not going to let this one go, are you?â
he shakes his head amused, ânot until youâre ready to confess what we both heard.â
the corners of my lips rise, âi am in love with jeon wonwoo and this book advent calendar confirmed it even more for me.â
âsince youâre so in â-â
âi did not say so in love.â i spat defensively, shoving his shoulders.
âokay, since youâre in love with me, how about i pick you up for dinner on wednesday?â he grins.
âthis feels like youâre just teasing me.â i giggled embarrassed.
âi have no ill intentions wanting to pursue you. i believe someone said earlier that if they didnât know us, they wouldâve assumed we were dating and honestly i have been thinking about us and dating for the last few months now.â
âso why say something now?â i questioned.
âcause the girl i am in love with just confessed she has mutual feelings for me too.â his voice soft and warm, making me smirk.

đ âGOLDEN HOURâ ïŸ SUNDAY. HONKAI STAR RAIL
afab gn reader ïŸ words 1.2k áŻœ reader is sundayâs personal assistant. secret affair. boss and employee relationship. slow sex after waking up. pulling out. cum swallowing. surprisingly domestic making out. happy sunday :3 áŻœ ADULT CONTENT ïŸ MINORS DO NOT INTERACT áŻœ
âPlease, donât get up yet. We still have some time⊠I can always explain if youâre late,â he murmurs into your hair, scooping your body closer.
The only reply he hears is just a soft sigh as you let yourself be convinced.
The sheets are messy, crumpled, and you already think how long it will take you to change them because of this delay. As if sensing your mind being preoccupied with something else, Sunday starts smooching you all across your head, getting closer to your face, the feathery touch tickling you here and there slightly until you giggle into his lips and reciprocate the direct kiss.
There are no mornings or evenings in Penacony.
Always an hour set by the clock, and everyone just lives around it. Itâs dark behind the curtains of the guest bedroom in his office, but, in all honesty, itâs constantly dark in here, if not counting the dazzling and sparkling, shimmering spectacle of lights of the neons, billboards, lamps and other attractions the Golden Hour can offer.
Thereâs only one rule here â live to the fullest.
For once, the prim and proper young man tries to apply it to his own routine, risking not arriving according to the schedule to his upcoming meeting just to feel your body close to his own once more.
âI promise Iâll be quick. Well, am I even wrong if I said youâre not against such a welcome after opening our eyes, hm?â
âHush, now⊠You always surprise me.â
âHow so?â
âCalm and benevolent leader of the Family suddenly acting a little bratty, a spoiled boy who needs his hugs before work.â
He runs his hand across your shoulder, leaving goosebumps where he touches. Then his fingers glide downwards along your side and waist until he cups your thigh and pulls your leg over himself before you can even react.
âDonât say that.â His voice is buttery soft, a tingle of laugh reverberating at the ending note meaning he liked the joke. âYouâre the only one who can see me in such a state. Youâre the only one I allow in my bed⊠and to make scandalous claims about one of the most important figures in Penacony.â
He shifts slowly with the smile â a genuine one â disappearing from the corner of his mouth a moment before he rubs his cock between your folds. The intent is obvious â to have you wrap yourself around him with every limb like ivy.
Resting foreheads against each other, dishevelled hair tangled together and, almost moaning out loud from your intoxicating heat and wetness, he places the tip inside.
âAhâŠâ you hum sweetly and your whole frame trembles at this movement that was meant as a casual gesture and gets turned into a pleasurable foreplay so easily.
Itâs difficult not to rush. He holds onto control tightly, keeps himself contained and careful so much that sometimes it makes you want to see him break out of these walls, come undone completely with passion. This time is no different. It seems as if you could barely hear his heartbeat quickening up against your ear while you press your lips against each other, swallowing little sounds. But he slides into you with caution nonetheless, enjoying every inch of you wrapping around his length.
Slowly, carefully, steadily, heâs making love to you for minutes now. Soft cries die out between ruffled bedsheets along with the quiet, slick noises of his cock dragging through your walls and pulling back in, covered with your juices. The leisurely pace is just perfect for you today â thereâs no need for excitement nor to have a shattering orgasm.
Everything is so warm, cosy and satisfyingâŠ
And then Sunday picks up the tempo abruptly.
The feeling is so sudden; it catches you off-guard. Your inner walls are hugging him tightly in response to the new, rougher approach, but he doesnât give up. Now itâs the tip hitting that sensitive spot inside, which sends waves of pleasure all over your body and you have to moan out loud to release the tension.
âI⊠ha-aah! I thought you decided to take it s-slow!â You pant in surprise and protest. It only makes him chuckle at first as he watches your flustered expression with interest and adjusts your hips slightly to reach even deeper.
âForgive me this time, will you, dove?â
âMhm, I shouldâve not teased you, thenâŠâ
âExactlyâ ngh!â
The friction is too much to handle. What he sees is you â a quivering mess â panting faster with your eyes closed shut to deal with it, borders perfection. Your chest heaves shakily against his own one with every huff. But he wouldnât dare stop again when youâre reacting so intensely, not unless you tell him so.
Untangling your arms from himself before he manages to pull himself up just so he can comfortably reach between your bodies and put his hand on your clit, just above the delicate flesh that now parts with each of his thrusts. You squeal from this stimulation at once and squirm under him, trying to hold on to his forearms.
The tender bud swells even more under his fingertips and Sunday smiles watching your body jerking suddenly and reflexively with every move he makes. He knows exactly how you like to be touched, never turning away his gaze from your reactions.
Youâre moaning out loud as if you had no worries about being heard and he wonders if maybe he could make you scream out his name someday â but maybe not yet, not when you two shouldnât even be in one bed.
Brows furrowing with an upcoming climax, he gives some extra attention to your clit for a while until, at last, thereâs no way back for you. His wings flutter, hearing you singing cries of relief and pleasure. You shudder through your entire silhouette; your hole grips on him from the inside and releases him with sodden warmth. Hissing at this, heâs barely able to pull out in time and clumsily crawls up on top of you while fisting his cock above your face.
Ignoring the heatwave rushing down your every nerve, you open your mouth and let him smack the tip over your tongue a few more times before spurts of cum fall right on it. High on the ecstasy of the recent orgasm, your mind goes blank, you let your lover milk the last drops out into your throat whilst you continue to suckle on the very end of his slit.
As youâre coming to your senses and the bliss of afterglow subsides, Sunday begins cleaning you and his own cock up, planting a gentle kiss on your temple with a heavy breath before sitting upright on the bed.
âWould you consider not wearing me down first thing after waking up?â
At first, after hearing your question, he remains silent with a distant smile, stroking your cheek as he continues cleaning your body with wet wipes he keeps on the nightstand.
âWell, just another perk of staying here until late system hours,â he eventually replies, quietly, almost like an afterthought, and then proceeds to gather the clothes for another day. âIâm always waiting to see you come to tell that I should rest. Just so I can hug you and take you to bed with meâŠâ he confesses softly, the same vague, half-amused, half-wistful look in his eyes.
âI see youâre always planning two steps ahead.â
âUnfortunately, not this time. As much as I would love for it to be true, Iâm yet to think of a satisfactory excuse for my delayed arrival.â

first christmas | buddy & monkey: double the trouble
summary: the second part of the flash back to buddy & monkey's first christmas.
double the trouble masterlist
Christmas morning had arrived, and the faint golden light filtered through the curtains. You tiptoed down the stairs, the cosy warmth of the house contrasting with the crisp winter chill outside.
As you reached the bottom of the stairs, your eyes widened at the sight before you. Beneath the Christmas tree, a mountain of presents was neatly stacked up, each of them wrapped in colourful paper.
The room seemed to sparkle with magic, it was the kind you had only seen in movies or dreamed about as a child.
"Woah," You whispered, your voice filled with disbelief.
Leah appeared from the kitchen, holding a steaming drink in her hands that definitely wasn't for her considering she despised coffee, "Merry Christmas, my girl." She said warmly, stepping closer to you.
You blinked, still trying to process what you were seeing, "Are... Are all of these for me?" You asked hesitantly, as if afraid the answer might be no.
Leah chuckled and nodded, "For you, and for Buddy," She said, gesturing toward your favourite little buddy, who was babbling happily on the floor, sitting between Jordan's legs, attempting to chew on wrapping paper.
Jordan grinned at you, "Go ahead and open them, little one." She encouraged you.
You were hesitant, glancing at the sheer number of presents under the tree, "But... But I didn't ask for any of this," You said quietly, your fingers brushing against the wrapping paper of one of the small gifts.
"Well that's okay," Leah said, placing the steaming mug on the coffee table before moving to crouch down beside you, "You've been on Santa's nice list, and luckily, he knew exactly what you would like."
You brow furrowed as you tilted your head, "There's so many of them-- Wait, he knew?" Your eyes felt like they bulged out of it's sockets at those words.
"Yeah, he's been watching you all year round to see whether you've been bad or good," Leah stated, her expression turning playful, "Clearly Santa thinks you've been good this year." She added.
You scrunched up your nose, "He still sounds like a creep," You muttered, making Jordan burst into laughter from across the room, "I don't know what to open first." You added, feeling slightly overwhelmed.
"It's okay to take your time with them," Leah reassured you, "How about you over this side first?"
"Okay," You said, picking up a box about twice the size of your hand as you carefully tore into the wrapping paper, revealing a LEGO set. Your eyes lit up in excitement as you held it up, "Whoa, cool! LEGO! Thanks! I wanted this!" You exclaimed, turning to Leah and Jordan with a wide grin.
"There's plenty more to open," Jordan said, nodding toward the pile.
You dove back in, picking up another package, this one wrapped in a different kind of wrapping paper, "Cool! I love it, thank you!" You exclaimed, holding up the hoodie in your hands.
"That one is of my parents," Leah explained, smiling softly.
"Really?" Your eyes widened in shock, "I... I never expected it. Can I open the rest?" You asked eagerly.
"Of course you can," Leah said, ruffling your hair affectionately.
Meanwhile, Buddy had found her own source of entertainment: the discarded wrapping paper. She giggled and crinkled it in her tiny fists, clearly more interested in the noise it made than the actual gifts.
"She's more entertained by that than her presents," Jordan laughed, shaking her head in amusement.
"We could have saved so much money," Leah joked, amused with Buddy's antics, "You're not supposed to eat it, bubba."
But you were too engrossed in your presents to notice, "Woah! No way-- I have wanted one of these for ages! Thank you!" You grinned, holding the box of a fresh Nintendo Switch, one that you'd been looking at for ages.
"Don't thank us, thank Santa Clause," Leah teased.
"No way. That dudes' a creep!" You shot back, making Leah and Jordan both laugh, "Can I set it up, now?"
"You still have other presents to open, but in a bit you can," Leah said, shaking her head fondly.
"Can I take it out with us? Please?" You asked, already planning how you'd show off your new toy.
"That's fine, just be careful, okay?" Leah agreed.
"Deal! Thank you-- Whoa, this is totally awesome. Cool, Mario Kart!" You exclaimed, holding up the game in your hand.
"Open the present on your right, little one," Jordan prompted, clearly knowing what it was.
You tore into it eagerly and gasped, "A steering wheel? Awesome!"
"Apparently this is the one that's top of the range at the moment," Jordan explained with a proud smile, "We asked the man himself, who was certain about it."
"So cool!" You said, your excitement growing with each gift.
By the time you had opened all of your gifts, you were overwhelmed with the stacks of presents that you had from Leah, Jordan and both of their families, "I... I don't even know what to say," You admitted, looking at Leah and Jordan with wide eyes, "Thank... Thank you."
Leah smiled, leaning down to hug you tightly, "You're worth it, my girl."
Jordan joined the hug, Buddy nestled in her arms, "Merry Christmas, little one. Welcome to the family."
"Are we there yet?" You groaned, slumping dramatically in your seat as the car pulled out of the driveway.
Jordan glanced at you through the rearview mirror, one eyebrow arched in bemusement, "We've only just left our house, little one. At least wait until we're on the motorway before you start complaining, eh?"
"But I'm bored, and the car is cramped!" You whined, squirming in the backseat for emphasis, you were sat beside Buddy in her carseat, making the space feel even tighter, "How much longer until we're there?"
"About forty minutes," Leah replied from the passenger seat, scrolling idly through her phone.
"Forty minutes? That's, like, forever!" You protested, dragging out the word with as much melodrama as possible.
"Time will pass before you know it," Leah said, resisting the urge to roll her eyes at your dramatics.
"I don't think it will. I'm so bored," You complained, letting out an exaggerated huff and then leaned forward slightly, "I'm hungry. Can I have some chocolate?"
"No," Leah replied firmly, her tone leaving no room for debate, "You'll spoil your dinner."
"But I'm really hungry," You pressed, sticking out your lower lip in an attempt to look pitiful.
Jordan chuckled in amusement, her eyes focused on the road up ahead, "I'm sure you'll survive until we get there, little one."
"I don't think so," You countered with mock seriousness, "I'll starve before we get to Milton Keynes!"
Leah snorted, shaking her head, "You're being ridiculous. You literally had breakfast this morning. You'll survive."
"I'm not convinced," You grumbled under your breath, slumping further in your seat. Turning your attention to Buddy, you wiggled your fingers toward her sock-clad-feet, earning a squeal of delight from the 8 month old, "What do you think, Buddy? Aren't they being unfair?"
"Oh I'm sure she's definitely going to agree with you," Jordan teased, glancing at you in the rearview mirror, a smirk tugging at her lips.
You continued entertaining Buddy, making silly faces and tickling her feet, "Mummy and Mama are trying to starve me," You declared dramatically, "It's an outrage, right?"
Buddy responded with a happy babble and flailed her little arms, which you immediately interpreted as agreement, "See? Even Buddy agrees with me!" You said triumphantly, "So, can I have chocolate now?"
"My answer is still no, Menace," Leah said without missing a beat, her tone firm but playful.
"Ugh, so not fair," You grumbled, crossing your arms over your chest and slouching back into your seat.
You absolutely despised long car rides, and you definitely made sure that both Leah and Jordan were painfully aware of your feelings.
"Are we there yet?"Â You questioned no less than 10 minutes later.
Leah let out an exaggerated sigh, "Not since the last time you asked, no."
"I'm bored!" You exclaimed dramatically.
"Hi, bored," Jordan quipped without missing a beat.
"Ha ha ha, you're hilarious..." You muttered sarcastically.
"I know," Jordan replied smugly, "I get that a lot."
You scrunched your face up, "Urgh, you're so annoying, and I'm still bored."
"Hi, still bored," Jordan teased, flashing you a cheeky grin in the mirror as she strummed her hands on the car steering wheel to the music that was playing, and ironically enough it was driving home for christmas.
"Babe," Leah chuckled, shaking her head, "Maybe I should've gotten you a Dad Jokes book for Christmas instead."
"No need, love. I'm naturally gifted," Jordan replied with a wink.
"More like youâre naturally annoying," You muttered, earning a laugh from Leah.
"Alright, Monkey," Leah said, turning slightly in her seat to face you, "If you're going to keep whining, how about we play a game to pass the time?"
"A game? Like what?" You asked cautiously.
"How about the quiet game?" Leah suggested, her lips twitching with amusement.
You scoffed, shaking your head in protest, "That's lame! Can't we play something better instead?"
"Like what?" Jordan questioned.
"Um... I don't know, like 'I spy'!" You declared, your eyes lighting up.
"Alright," Leah said with a sigh, "You start then."
You grinned mischievously, "I spy with my little eye... something red!"
"The air freshener?" Jordan guessed.
"Nope!" You exclaimed.
"The presents in the gift bag," Leah tried her luck.
"Wrong again!" You smirked in amusement.
Jordan arched her eyebrow, "Buddy's coat?" She asked.
"Nope, not even close," You said smugly.
"Something red? There's not much else in here," Leah mused.
"Give up?" You asked, bouncing slightly in your seat with excitement.
"I do," Jordan admitted, using her free hand to scratch the back of her neck.
"Not yet," Leah said, narrowing her eyes as she scanned the road, "Is it that road sign we just passed?"
"Nope! You know, you're both terrible at this!" You teased, leaning back with a triumphant grin.
"Alright, what is it?" Leah finally asked.
You grinned mischievously, glancing between the two of them, "It's Leah's face when she's mad!" You exclaimed, dissolving into giggles.
Jordan burst into laughter, clapping her hands on the steering wheel while Leah groaned, shaking her head, though a small smile tugged at her lips despite her mock glare.
"You are such a little Menace sometimes, you know that?" Leah said, her tone affectionate even as she rolled her eyes.
âWeâre here! Finally!â You exclaimed, eager to escape the confines of the car.
âFinally! I donât think I could handle anymore of your complaining,â Jordan quipped, turning off the ignition.
âCheer up, grumpy. Itâs Christmas!â Leah chuckled, undoing her seatbelt with practiced ease.
âYeah, Jord, cheer up. Itâs Christmas!â You echoed Leahâs words, grinning mischievously.
âHa ha, very funny. Iâll give you âcheer upââ Jordan retorted with mock indignation as she climbed out of the car, âLooks like your mumâs already waiting at the door. How about you get Buddy out, and Monkey and I will grab the presents?â
âSure,â Leah replied easily, moving to unbuckle Buddy.
You, however, scrunched up your nose, âDo I have to?â You groaned.
âCome on, thereâs not a lot,â Jordan nudged you lightly with her elbow as she walked around to the boot, âI promise I wonât make you carry the heavy ones.â
âFine,â You muttered, taking the smaller gift bag Jordan handed you.
âMerry Christmas!â Amandaâs cheerful voice greeted from where she stood on the doorstep, waiting to welcome you all inside.
âHi, Mum!â Leah waved as she lifted Buddy out of her car seat, expertly balancing her on hip while shutting the door, âMerry Christmas!â
âMerry Christmas!â Jordan shouted back in response.
âOh, thereâs Nanaâs little princess!â Amanda cooed, her attention immediately on Buddy, âMerry Christmas, sweet girl.â
Leah faintly smiled, âSheâs been a bit fussy this morning, and she hasnât napped at all.â
âOh, is that so?â Amanda frowned, her arms outstretched, âAre we being fussy for your Mummies, hm?â She scooped Buddy into her embrace, cradling with her with practiced ease.
âJust a little bit,â Jordan chuckled, catching up to her with the presents in hand.
âMerry Christmas, sweetheart,â Amanda greeted you, readjusting Buddy her arms so she could envelope you in a warm hug.
You smiled slightly in response, âHi. Merry Christmas.â You greeted, though, you were still feeling a bit reserved and shy despite the festivities.
âAre they here yet? Are they here yet?â A voice boomed from inside the house as Jacob bolted down the stairs. His excitement was palpable as he skidded to a stop, âYouâre here!â He exclaimed.
âHi, J. Merry Christmas!â Leah greeted her younger brother, but his attention was entirely on you.
âMonkey!â Jacob yelled.
âJacob!â You parroted with equal enthusiasm, your shyness now completely revoked.
Leah gave her brother an exaggerated look of mock hurt, âWow. Just forget I exist, huh?â
âBest friend already,â Jordan chimed in, amusedly.
âCome check out the new Xbox game I got for Christmas! You have to see itâ Jacob tugged at your arm, his excitement infectious.
You hesitated, the sudden attention making you flinch slightly, âUh⊠Can I?â You turned to ask Leah and Jordan.
Leah nodded warmly, âGo ahead, Jacob seems itching to show you it.â
âDinnerâs not for a while yet,â Amanda piped in.
âCome on!â Jacob insisted as he practically dragged you toward the stairs, âWait until you see it!â He called over his shoulder, practically vibrating with excitement..
Amanda chuckled as she watched you disappear upstairs, âThey seem to be getting along already.â
âLike two peas in a pod,â Jordan agreed, settling down the presents in the hallway.
David appeared in a festive jumper, his face lighting up when he saw Leah, Jordan and Buddy, âI thought I heard familiar voices,â He teased, pulling Leah into a hug first, âMerry Christmas, sweetheart.â
âMerry Christmas, Dad,â Leah smiled, returning the hug with the older man, âI love your jumper. Is that a Christmas gift from Mum?â She teased.
âOh yes, your Mum brought it for me,â David chuckled, moving to exchange a hug with Jordan, âHi, Jord. Merry Christmas!â
âMerry Christmas, David,â Jordan replied, grinning.
Davidâs attention shifted to Buddy, âAnd hereâs our little angel!â He cooed, tickling her sock-clad feet, âWhatâs with that frown?â He wondered, noticing the grumpy expression the 8 month old currently had on her face.
âSheâs grumpy, I think sheâs had too much excitement already,â Leah explained, amusedly.
âOh I see,â David chuckled, reaching out to take Buddy from Amanda, âYou want to come to Grandad for a cuddle? Oh, come hereâ Are you having a good Christmas?â He cooed to the little girl in his arms.
âYeah, weâve tried to eat all of the wrapping paper of the presents this morning, havenât we?â Leah cooed, gently stroking Buddyâs cheek, âI honestly think weâd have saved money just by giving her that.â She joked.
Amanda chuckled, shaking her head as they all headed further inside the house, âSo, howâs it been so far?â
âYeah, itâs been okay. We opened presents this morning, I think Monkey was a bit overwhelmed with the amount there was,â Leah began to explain in a gentle tone of voice, âBut I think sheâs liking it so far.â
âThatâs good then,â Amanda smiled brightly, âDid she like the hoodie that we brought her, and everything else?â She asked.
âOh, yeah. She loved it!âLeah replied, nodding in agreement, âSheâs obsessed with Shrek so it was perfect!â She added.
Jordan chuckled, âYou should have seen her face, it was a picture.â
âAnd howâs little miss been?â Amanda wondered, gesturing to Buddy, who was wriggling in Davidâs arms and eager to be close to the tree, âDid she enjoy opening her presents?â
âOh, I think she was more interested in the wrapping paper than her actual presents,â Leah joked.
David laughed in amusement, âWell thatâs to be expected of course at her age.â
"Yeah, she's obsessed with anything that she can grab and put in her mouth at this point,â Jordan retorted as she began to take her coat off, âThe baubles and the lights on the tree haven't stood a chance.â
"Still trying to eat everything, huh? She's just like Leah when she was that age. Couldn't leave anything alone," David quipped, shooting a playful grin at Leah.
Jordan smirked, "That explains a lot."
Leah shot Jordan a look of outrage as she took her coat off and hung it up on the coat rack just as Amanda chimed in, "Your Grandma will be arriving shortly. I think she's looking forward to seeing both of the girls again."
Just then, Jacob's voice echoed from up the stairs, "Monkey has just beaten my high score!"
You couldnât resist a cheeky reply, âCanât help it if youâre a sore loser!â Your playful tone earned a round of laughter from the adults in the room.
âWell it sounds like those two are having fun at least,â Amanda remarked with a smile.
Leah turned her attention to Buddy, who was starting to squirm and whine in Davidâs arms, âOh whatâs the matter, bubba?â She cooed, gently taking the 8 month old back from the man.
âI think somebodyâs a bit fussy and wants their mummy,â David cooed.
Leah kissed the top of Buddyâs head, bouncing her lightly, âCome here, bubba. Youâre tired, arenât you? Thereâs just so much excitement going on today, isnât there? Everyoneâs coming round to see you!â
Just then, the doorbell rang.
âOh, thatâll be your Grandma arriving I thinkâ Or maybe someone else,â Amanda said, heading toward the hall.
âIâll go and answer it,â Leah shifted Buddy slightly in her arms, âShall we go see whoâs at the door, bubba? I wonder who it could be,â She murmured softly as she approached the door.
Opening it, Leah smiled warmly, âOh look, itâs Grandma Berny!â She exclaimed, her voice tinged with excitement. Adjusting Buddy to free one arm, she leaned in to hug Berny, âHi Grandma, Merry Christmas!â
âHello, love,â Berny greeted, wrapping Leah in a warm hug before turning her attention to Buddy, âAnd if it isnât Grandmaâs little Christmas pudding! Oh, donât you look absolutely adorable?â She cooed, gesturing to the outfit Buddy currently had on.
Leah smiled and offered Buddy to Berny, âYou want to go to Grandma for a cuddle?â
âOh, come here, darling,â Berny cooed, taking Buddy into her arms.
Leah glanced at the bags Berny carried, âDo you want me to take anything for you?â She wondered.
âOh, if you could, thanks love,â Berny replied warmly, shifting Buddy slightly to give her a better grip. She turned her attention to the baby in her arms and smiled, âAre you having a good Christmas, darling? I bet your Mummies have spoiled you absolutely rotten, havenât they?â
Leah chucked, her eyes full of affection as she watched the two, âShe has been spoiled. They both have,â She admitted with a proud smile.
âI donât doubt that for a second. Where is Monkey?â Berny asked curiously.
âSheâs upstairs with Jacob playing on the Xbox,â Leah replied with a small smile.
âOh I see,â Berny chuckled, knowingly, âDid she like her presents I bought her? Your mum mentioned youâd be opening them at home before you came over.â
"Yeah we figured it would be easier to do it all in one place to save Monkey feeling too overwhelmed, because this is all just so new to her. But she really did love all of her presents," Leah said warmly.
"I'm sure she did,â Berny said reassuringly, âShe'll get used to it in no time, love. It'll just take a bit of time, won't it?"
Leahâs smile faltered, âYeah, I hope so. It just makes me so sad that she's never gotten to experience this all before, you know?"
Berny nodded, her expression softening, âI know, love. But there are still so many years to make up for it.â
"Few years to make up for what?" Jordanâs voice chimed in as she entered the room/
"Hiya, Jord. Merry Christmas!" Berny greeted her warmly.
"Merry Christmas, Berny!" Jordan replied with a smile.
"I was just filling Grandma in on how this morning went with the girls opening their presents," Leah explained.
Jordan sighed lightly, âOh yeah, I think it was a bit much for her.â
Leahâs jaw tightened, her frustration bubbling to the surface, âIt just makes me sad that Monkey never properly experienced this all before, all because of that waste of space.â She said bitterly.
Jordan placed a gentle hand on Leahâs arm, âCareful, Le, she might hear you.â
âI just donât get it,â Leah continued, her voice low but firm, âThat man, honestly! Heâs⊠Heâs treated her horribly in the past. You can tell by the way she reacts sometimes.â
âI know, love,â Berny interjected softly, âBut sheâs a part of this family now, and weâre going to make it the best for her. I know youâre angry, but holding onto that wonât help anything now, will it?â
Leah exhaled deeply, nodding, âYeah, I suppose youâre right there,â
âExactly,â Berny said firmly, âNow, I need to go and say hello to your mum and dad. Has anyone else arrived yet?â
âNo, youâre the first. But I donât think theyâll be long,â Leah replied.
From upstairs, you couldnât help but call out, âJacobâs crying because heâs a sore loser!â
âI am not!â Jacobâs voice protested indignantly and loud enough to carry through the house.
âOh, that sounds like trouble,â Leah muttered, wincing at the sheer volume of your teasing, âThatâs my cue to go sort it out.â
âI think Iâll join you in the living room,â Jordan chuckled as she followed Berny back into the other room, âGood luck with that one, Le.â
You smirked as Leahâs footsteps approached, âWhatâs going on up here then?â She asked, stepping into the room.
âJacobâs crying about the fact heâs losing his game,â You replied with a mischievous snicker, thoroughly amused by his sulking.
âI am not!â Jacob fired back, his cheeks flushing, âAll Iâm saying isââ
âAll heâs saying is that heâs a complete sore loser who canât handle it,â You interrupted with a cheeky grin.
âNo, Iâm not!â Jacob protested.
âYeah, right,â You quipped, smirking at the lad.
Leah rolled her eyes playfully, âAlright, alright. It sounds like this arguing isnât getting either of you anywhere. Grandmaâs arrived if you want to come and say hello.â
You shrugged nonchalantly, glancing at Jacob with a smirk, âTo be continuedâŠâ
âTo be continued,â Jacob grumbled in response, clearly not over the teasing.
As you followed Leah out of the room, she glanced over her shoulder, her gaze softening, âWhatâs he like, eh? Honestly, such a big kid sometimes. You wouldnât believe heâs 19,â She joked, noting your distant change of behaviour, âHey, you alright? Youâre very quiet all of the sudden.â
âIâm okay,â You murmured, keeping your voice steady.
âAre you sure?â Leah pressed gently, stopping to look at you properly, âListen, I know today might feel like a lot for you, and itâs okay if it is.â
âIâm alright, I promise,â You assured her, even though your chest felt a little tight.
Leah nodded, but didnât move just yet, âAlright, well, if it gets too much then youâll let either me and Jord know, yeah?â
âI will,â You said, your voice soft.
âGood,â Leah said, a small smile tugging at her lips, âOkay good. We just want you to have the best Christmas this year, Monkey.â
âIâm okay,â You hesitated for a moment before speaking, âIâm enjoying the day⊠Itâs just⊠Well, itâs a lot. Iâve never gotten anything like this before, and now with all of your family⊠Iâve just never gotten to experience anything like it.â
Leah crouched slightly to meet your gaze, âI can understand itâs a bit overwhelming for you, my girl.â She said softly.
âA little,â You admitted, feeling your cheeks heat up, âBut Iâm grateful! Itâs just⊠I didnât expect to get so many presents. Iâm just still trying to wrap my head around it.â
Leahâs expression softened even more as she gave your shoulders a reassuring squeeze, âYouâre a part of this family now, Monkey, and you are so loved, my girl,â Her voice remained soft but steady, âYou donât have to try and wrap your head around it all at once. This is new, I know, but you deserve all of it, okay? Every single present, every cuddle and every once of love.â
You blinked, your throat tightening as her words sank in, âThanks Le.â You managed to give her a small smile.
âThatâs my girl,â Leah said, grinning as she pulled you into a warm hug, âNow, come on, letâs head down and see Grandma before she starts wondering where weâve disappeared to.â
You followed Leah down the stairs, her hand still lightly on your back, grounding you. The warmth of the living room enveloped you as you entered, the hum of chatter, laughter, and the gentle crack of the fireplace filling the space.
âThere she is,â Berny exclaimed, spotting you standing beside Leah, âHello dear! Merry Christmas!â
âMerry Christmas, Berny,â You murmured shyly, feeling a slight blush creep onto your cheeks.
Amanda approached with a cup of tea for Berny, grinning as she glanced at you, âSee, Mum? Sheâs fitting right in, isnât she?â
âOf course she is!â Berny declared, beaming at you, âThis family wouldnât be the same without her now, would it?â
Leah flopped onto the sofa beside Jordan, while Buddy was nestled against her chest peacefully asleep, âI told you, Monkey. Youâre stuck with us forever.â
âForever,â Jordan echoed with a wink.
âIâm glad to be here,â You couldnât help but smile a little wider, the overwhelming sensation from earlier ebbing away as you settled amongst the warmth of Leahâs family.
"Oh, I'm so full from Turkey. I don't think I could eat anymore," Jacob complained, slumping down in his seat.
"I'll second you on that one," Ben replied in agreement.
"Oh right, well in that case then, I guess it's more pudding for the rest of us!" Amanda joked, knowing it would spark a reaction.
"Pudding? I always have room for that!" Jacob exclaimed, sitting upright in his chair again.
The conversation continued as you glanced around the room. Here you were, sitting at the large table with Leah's family -- her mum's side at least. You donned an emerald paper hat on the top of your head, the result of winning a Christmas cracker earlier. The joke you pulled out with it had been painfully cringeworthy, yet it still made you giggle. In your hands was a small whistle you'd been blowing occasionally, much to Leah's annoyance. She had already shot you several pointed looks, though the little smirk on her lips betrayed her amusement.
"What's so special about this pudding anyway?" You asked, leaning closer to Jacob and Ben.
"It's not about the pudding, Monks'," Jacob replied, declaring his own nickname heâd given you for himself, "It's about the tradition. And the custard. Lot's of custard."
"Don't forget the brandy sauce," Ben added with a grin.
"You lot had better save some for the rest of us!" Holly called from the other end of the table.
"What time is the Queen's speech on? We can't miss that!" One of Leah's Aunts questioned, you were a bit unclear on their name though since there was so many of them.
"Oh, it's about to start-- quick, somebody find the remote!" Amanda exclaimed, her sudden urgency making you jump slightly.
"Has anyone seen it?" Leah asked, standing up to help look.
"Found it!" David called, holding the remote up triumphantly.
If there's one thing you had learnt about today, it was that Leah's family was very patriotich when it came to anything to do with the royal family, as they all clustered around the TV.
Buddy, who had just woken up from her nap, was wide awake and wiggling around on her playmat that had been set down on the floor.
At least yourself, Jacob and Ben didn't seem too bothered about the speech though.
"What was so special about a speech from the Queen?" You whispered to Jacob, curious to know what had everyone so hooked.
"It's another tradition," Jacob replied, "Though it's a bit boring, really, if you ask me."
"It definitely is," Ben agreed, clearly unimpressed.
"Shush! It's starting!" Holly hissed, glaring at the three of you.
"Geesh, so serious," Jacob joked, winding his cousin up.
Ben snorted, leaning over to you, "She's always like this when the Queen's speech comes on. One year, she even shushed the dog."
"I heard that!" Holly said sharply, throwing a napkin in Ben's direction.
"Shush, you three," Leah chimed in, sending you a pointed look, but you couldn't help but giggle even more.
The speech began, and the room fell into a respectful silence-- well mostly. Buddy didn't want to be quiet, with her tiny fits and infectious giggles, and seemed completely uninterested in the royal tradition. She was quite happy to babble, grabbing her toys that you and Jacob waved in front of her.
"She's got the right idea," Ben joked, laughing softly as Buddy squealed in delight, "It's boring ain't it, little miss?"
Amanda shushed everyone, but you couldn't help but smile as Buddy wiggled happily, oblivious to the importance of the moment.
"Is it over yet?" You whispered to Jordan, who chuckled in amusement and wrapped her free arm around your shoulder, "How long does this thing go on for?"
"It's almost over, little one," Jordan replied in a hushed tone of voice.
You were most relieved when the speech ended, as Berny turned to the group and sighed contently, "That was lovely, as always. A nice way to reflect on the year."
"Reflect on how I've still never made it through the whole thing awake," Jacob muttered in response.
"Alright, who's ready for dessert, then?" Amanda asked, standing up, "We've got Christmas pudding, mince pies, yule log, and Ben's favourite-- trifle."
"Trifle? I've got room for trifle!" Jacob declared, already heading toward the kitchen.
"Of course, you do," Leah muttered, rolling her eyes.
Amanda caught your eye and smiled warmly, "Do you want to help me serve, sweetheart?"
"Uhm, sure," You replied with a slight bit of hesitance, standing to follow her.
As you helped bring out the desserts, Amanda leaned in closer, "How are you enjoying the day? It's so lovely to have you here with us, you know."
"Thank you," You said, a bit shyly, "It's been nice. It's different from what I'm used to, but still good."
"I'm glad," Amanda said gently, "I know change can be difficult sometimes, but Leah and Jordan, I know they think the world of you. They're so proud of how far you've come."
You felt a lump in your throat at her kind words, "I'm really grateful for them, and for being here with you all, too... And, thank you for my presents. I didn't expect anything, I love my Shrek hoodie."
"You're welcome, sweetheart. We're the lucky ones to have you as part of this family now," Amanda moved her free arm around to give you a side hug, "Now, let's get this dessert out before Jacob starts to raid the fridge now, eh?"
The evening continued with more laughter and chatter as the pudding was served. Buddy sat in her high chair, clapping her hands excitedly as Leah fed her small spoonfuls of custard.
"You're going to spoil her," Jordan teased, watching Leah's doting behaviour.
"She's just enjoying Christmas, aren't you, bubba?" Leah cooed, pressing a kiss to Buddy's cheek.
As the evening began to wound down, you found yourself nestled on the sofa in between Leah and Jordan as the family gathered for a raucous game of charades.
"No, that's cheating-- You can't do that!" Leah shot out in protest.
Ben chuckled, "Why not? It's not in the rules!"
"Yes it is," Leah fired back, her competitive streak showing.
"No it's not," Ben scoffed, "Someone? Help us out here..." He looked to the rest of the family for their help.
Holly glanced over the rules briefly on her phone after a quick Google search, "He's right, Le. It's not in the rules that he can't." She added, sticking up for her younger brother.
"Since when?" Leah muttered in disbelief, arching an eyebrow.
"Since always if you read the rules," Ben quipped, smirking.
"Outrageous that is!" Leah scoffed, crossing her arms over her chest, before it was time to take her turn.
"You call that a gorilla? It looks more like a constipated penguin," Jacob teased as Leah flailed her arms around.
Leah took the chance to throw a cushion at him, "You couldn't even guess 'Kangaroo' so you can't talk!"
You were starting to feel yourself growing tired, opting to rest your head on Jordan's shoulder, "You doing alright, little one? I know it's been a big day."
"M' okay,"Â You replied quietly in agreement, not wanting to stir too much attention to yourself, "It's been the best Christmas I've ever had." You added, wrapping your free arm around her.
Jordan smiled, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of your head, "Good, you deserve it, Monkey."
You couldn't help but faintly smile, watching in amusement at the bickering between Leah and Jacob still about the game as your eyelids started to become heavier.
"I think it's time to call it a night," David retorted, motioning to the way you were practically almost falling asleep, "Monkey's falling asleep."
"M' not tired," You protested against the idea, but the way you couldn't keep your eyes open spoke for a lot of things.
Leah turned her attention away from the competitive game, her lips quirking into a knowing smile, "I think you might be right there, Dad," She agreed, taking a glance at the clock, "Alright, time for bed."
You would be spending the night in Leah's childhood home, so at least you didn't have to travel back to London tonight, considering Leah and Jordan had both had a bit to drink and neither of them could drive under the circumstances.
You groaned softly at the suggestion, not thrilled with the idea of leaving the comforting warmth of Jordan's shoulder, "M' not tired." You mumbled again, though the sleepy slur in your voice gave you away completely.
Jordan chuckled, gently nudging you upright, "You can keep saying that, but your heavy eyes are telling us a different story, little one."
Buddy, meanwhile, was still awake, babbling happily on Amanda's lap, her tiny hands reaching for Amanda's face as she giggled, "I think this one's trying to pull an all-nighter," She joked, bouncing Buddy lightly.
Leah smiled as she approached, effortlessly scooping Buddy into her arms, "Oh, no, missy," She cooed, "It's bedtime, isn't it, bubba?" However, Buddy responded with delighted squeals, clearly not in agreement.
"Come on, little one," Jordan said, standing up from the sofa as she reached out to help you up, her strong arms steadying you as you wobbled slightly.
You sighed, reluctantly letting her guide you towards the stairs, "But it's still Christmas," You murmured, glancing back at the warm inviting living room and the game still going on.
"And Christmas will still be here tomorrow morning," Leah reminded you with a gentle smile as she followed, Buddy snuggled in her arms, "You're exhausted, you need to sleep, my girl, so you can wake up tomorrow and enjoy Boxing Day fun."
Jordan led you up the stairs, her hand warm and reassuring on your back, "Besides," She said with a smile, "We can't have our Monkey turning into a zombie tomorrow, now, can we?"
You mumbled a small protest, but it was half-hearted at best. The truth was, you were far too tired to argue properly. Each step you took up the stairs felt heavier, and the idea of the comfy bed was becoming more and more appealing.
Leah trailed behind with Buddy, who was still wide-eyed and squirming with excitement, "This one's determined to stay awake," She said with a small laugh, pressing a kiss to Buddy's cheek, "It's time to sleep now, bubba. Something tells me we're in for a bit of a challenge with the baby."
Once upstairs, you managed to change into your pyjamas with some help from Jordan, the soft fabric instantly adding to your comfort. You climbed under the warm duvet, letting out a small sigh as you nestled into the cozy bed.
"Are you comfy?" Jordan asked, leaning down to flick on the bedside lamp.
"Mhm," You murmured sleepily, clutching your stuffed animal close.
"Good," Jordan replied, leaning in to press a gentle kiss to your forehead, "Good, I'm glad. Get some rest, little one."
Leah peeked into the room a moment later, Buddy now resting her hand on Leah's shoulder in a cozy onesie, her eyes beginning to flutter closed, "All sorted in here?" She asked softly, her gaze warm as she took in the sight of you snuggled up.
"Le... Are all these football shirts yours?" You asked, your curiosity slipping through your sleepiness as your gaze wandered around Leah's childhood bedroom. The walls were adorned with Arsenal and England shirts, each marking a moment in her career.
Leah chuckled, stepping further into her old bedroom, "They are," She said proudly, "Hopefully more to come." She passed Buddy to Jordan for a moment, leaning down to tuck you in properly under the duvet, "Sweet dreams, my girl. We'll see you in the morning."
"Night, Le. Night, Jord," You mumbled, a soft yawn escaping your lips.
"Goodnight, Monkey," Jordan whispered as she turned off the bedside lamp, her voice soothing in the quiet.
Leah lingered for a moment longer, gently adjusting the covers before adding, "We love you."
Just as they turned to leave, you spoke up, your voice small and soft, "Le? Jord?"
They both paused in the doorway, "Yeah?"
"Thank you... For the best Christmas," Your mumbled, half asleep as you could barely keep your eyes open any longer.
Leah's smile widened, her heart swelling at your words, "You're welcome, my girl." She said warmly.
With Buddy now dozing in her arms, Leah glanced at Jordan as they left her childhood bedroom, "Boxing Day's going to be chaos, isn't it?"
Jordan chuckled quietly, nodding, "Absolute chaos, but that's what will make it fun."

Itâs You Masterlist đââŹÂ ATZ Masterlist đââŹÂ Main Masterlist
It's late on Christmas Eve when the last of your family finally leaves, and you can excuse yourself from your parents and lock yourself in your bedroom. It's late, so late that you consider for a moment not calling, but you're pretty sure San's still up. He'd made you promise him several times that you would call him today. But you've been too busy dealing with nosy aunts and loud cousins at the family party to do it any earlier.
It's late, but it doesn't matter. He's as happy to see you as you are him, his dark eyes crinkling in delight, and then his smile turns shy, like he's embarrassed at how much just the sight of you lights him up inside.
There's no reason for him to be embarrassed. Your glow mirrors his.
You don't want to hang up long enough to wash your face, so he joins you at the sink. You glance at the screen while drying your face to see him delicately scrubbing his skin with sudsy fingertips, and he sees you and pulls a face, making you giggle. It almost feels like a normal night, hanging out together. Almost. You sigh.
"I miss you."
San surprises you by looking surprised at your admission.
"What? Is that news to you?" It shouldn't be. The two of you haven't stopped texting since you'd left the apartment three days ago to head home for Christmas. San and his sister had left as well to have a quiet holiday with their parents. Since then, you've had to invent a million excuses to slip away from your family and disappear into your phone. The device has barely left your hand, every alert making your heart jump, knowing San is thinking about you as much as you're thinking about him.
"No," San scoffs, face relaxing into a pleased expression, a soft half-smile that fully melts your heart. "Of course you miss me. I'm amazing."
"Nah, I changed my mind, I don't miss you," you say, pretending to frown, and San plays along, pouting dramatically, and you can't help but sigh again. "Okay, fine, I do."
"You always give in to me so easy, Noona," he informs you, that spark back in his eye, the one that makes your stomach flip. "I think Iâm your weakness."
He's joking, except maybe he's not, and you both know it. You settle in your bed, burrowing under the layers of covers, shivering because your personal heater is several hundred miles away. San does the same, lying on his side as he gazes into the phone, humming lightly. If you close your eyes, itâs like heâs lying right beside you.
The two of you chat a little about your days. His was spent watching holiday movies with Hanuel while his parents prepared a big dinner together for the four of them. You talk a little about your extended family and the chaos they brought to your house today.Â
This is the happiest youâve felt all day. Even when having fun with your family earlier, youâd felt a little off, like something was missing. Making San laugh now, watching those delicate lines around his eyes crinkle with joy, fills you with such a strong contentment that you canât stop smiling.Â
Sanâs laughter turns to amused hums the longer you talk, and he nestles lower and lower into his pillow until his eyes are struggling to stay open. You donât even bother to finish your story, too busy adoring the sight of him.Â
"Go to sleep, San. Or Santa won't bring you what you wanted."
âMmm,â he yawns, pressing one hand over his mouth, âbut Noona, all I want is you.â
âI knew you were going to say that,â you roll your eyes, giggling.
âItâs true,â he protests, quickly growing serious, âitâs true, though. I wish you were here right now.âÂ
You sigh. âStop making me miss you so much.â
Both of you fall silent, watching each other through the phone. Thereâs a tension now, and it makes you nervous for some reason, and thereâs only one thing you can think to say to clear the air. Youâre not sure if itâs the right thing to say, but itâs the truth and you really want to share it all of a sudden.
âYou already have me, you know.âÂ
Youâve known for weeks now. Weeks full of longing glances, lingering touches, and hurried kisses -Â and sometimes more, in the rare moments the two of you had the apartment to yourselves. Itâs time to admit it.
San takes your confession with a long silence of his own. Just when you think youâre about to have a cardiac event waiting for his response, he speaks. âI do?â
You nod. âIf you want me. Iâm all yours.â Can he hear your heart pounding through the phone?
San exhales quickly. âMine.â
Itâs an agreement. A declaration.Â
He traces his finger down his screen, pretending heâs stroking your cheek, and your skin buzzes from the mere suggestion. A warmth like you've never felt before spreads over you, soft and tender, so like the man gazing at you through the phone.Â
Tiredness begins to tug at you. Only one more sleep âtil Christmas, then one more âtil youâre back home.
And back in Sanâs arms.Â
"Merry Christmas, San," you whisper.
"Merry Christmas," he echoes softly. "Sweet dreams, Noona."

Happier Chapter 7
Disclaimer: I do not own Arcane or any links. I only own the concept for this story.
Concept: Isekai Fem Reader turns back time to fix her timeline, but has unforseen consequences.
Reader Pov
"Come on. I'm sure you look great. I wouldn't pick something that would make you look ridiculous." Powder says outside of the changing room I am in as I wear another set of clothing she chose for me.
After dragging me back to Zaun to give me a "tour", she immediately brought me straight to a clothing store since I didn't have any for myself currently and Isha needed more clothes after a paint bomb incident. Maybe back in my original world this wouldn't be a big deal, but it's been so long since I've actually went clothing shopping that I have no idea what to look for.
I tried to get out of it by saying I had no money, but she insisted on paying. I tried saying I could get some of my extra clothes back at my old place, but she wasn't having any of that. I tried voicing my concerns on not knowing what to even get, so she started picking out clothes for me. To be fair I did like some of them, but some just felt wrong on me. Especially the one I'm in now.
Meanwhile Ekko had the balls to just stand there and smirk with a knowing look; watching me suffer. At least Isha was having a good time and she even picked out some clothes for herself.
"I'm going to come in there myself if you don't come out." Powder says, not sounding like she's joking at all.
"Trust me. She's not joking." Ekko warns me and I can hear the smirk on her face.
"Okay! Okay! I'm coming out." I say before reluctantly stepping out of the dressing room and facing a smiling Powder and Ekko.
"There, you see? Look," she says as she grabs my shoulders and brings me to a full body mirror to look at myself with a smiling Powder now standing next to me. She picked out a blue and white striped shirt dress that ties around just above my waist, folded sleeves and the top three buttons undone, "You look good."
"I feel exposed." I say as I look at my reflection with hesitance.
'The last time I remember wearing a dress was in my original life. This is kinda weird.'
"Oh c'mon! It's good, plus you'll match with Isha." she says as she wraps an arm around my shoulder, making me confused before the child in question bursts out of her changing room.
I look over to see her in an unbuttoned long sleeved collared shirt with the same stripes and colors as mine with a white shirt underneath and dark blue shorts with white high socks to match. She runs over to Powder and I and stands in front of us to look at herself in the mirror.
"That isn't fair, why does she get pants and I get a dress?" I ask making Ekko and Powder laugh before Isha turns around and comes up to me and raises her arms to me.
"Because it wouldn't look as good if you two were wearing the exact same thing, soooo Isha get's the pants." Powder says which makes me roll my eyes as I pick up Isha, hold her in my arms and smile at how happy she looks.
"You didn't force this on her did you? Do you actually like it, Isha? Or are you two just conspiring against me?"
"Nope."
"MmMm" Isha denies with a shake of her head, but Powder gives her an obvious wink, making me roll my eyes again and Isha giggle.
"See! It looks good. Ekko come look," Powder asks Ekko who comes over and joins us, standing on the other side of Isha and I in the reflection of the mirror, "Oh yeah. This..... this looks great."
"I think it looks good on you." Ekko says while I take a moment to look at Isha and I's matching outfits in the reflection.
'I look like a mom from the suburbs."
"Isha seems to like it too." he adds on, and Isha nods her head rapidly; looking at the reflection.
*sigh* "......Okay, I guess it isn't that bad. I'll get it, if Isha likes it." I say, making Isha's smile brighter and hug me a tight hug.
"Nice." Powder says as she hold up a hand to Isha and they high five each other.
"Alright. I think that's enough clothes, right?" I ask Powder as I glance at the pile of clothes Isha and I have found to our liking.
"Fine, I guess that's enough for now." Powder says sounding dramatically reluctant, making Ekko huff.
"You're just upset you don't get to dress them up like dolls." Ekko says, getting a light slap on his shoulder form Powder as I set Isha down.
"I'm gonna get changed."
"Don't wanna wear it out?" Powder asks suggestively.
"I still have my gear to wear, maybe on another day Isha and I can match." I say as I head towards the changing room; Isha doing the same towards her.
"Don't think I can't see what you're doing."
"I don't know what you're talking about."
I catch their conversation but ignore it and focus on getting out of this dress and into more comfortable attire and putting my gear back on. I step out and notice Powder and Ekko seemed to have stepped aside to have a private conversation; whispering to each other, so I wait for Isha to be finished to give them room. It only takes a minute or two before Isha is done and steps out.
"Do you like the clothes you and Powder picked out?" I ask while taking the clothes from her to put into the pile. She nods her head before going to put on her helmet, adjusting it so it sits right.
"Sorry about that, I'm going to go pay for these. You guys wait outside." Powder says as she grabs the pile of clothes and hauls it to the cashier.
"I'm guessing she likes to play dress up with you too?" I ask Ekko with a teasing smirk as the three of us go wait outside the store for Powder.
"Oh yeah, you got off easy. The first time she took me out to buy clothes I thought I'd be stuck for eternity," he says, but has this fond smile on his face that says he still enjoyed it, "Anyways, you have any idea what you wanna see next?"
"I have no idea," I say as I look around at the different stores and take just how.... normal it all feels, "Still getting used to it."
I feel a hand pat my shoulder I turn to Ekko.
"Hey, I get it. Well I kinda get it. We were here as Zaun was changing, so it was easier to adapt with it; still weird though. Trust me, you'll love it up here after a few days." Ekko says, reassuring me. I relax at the comforting gesture.
"Thank you."
"I'm back!," I suddenly hear Powder say and Ekko yelps as he is immediately dumped with two bags of clothes, making me hold in a laugh at the surprised look on his face, "So where to next?" she asks more to herself than us as she thinks to herself; looking up and down the streets.
"I was thinking," Ekko says as he steadies himself and holds the bags in one hand, "Maybe we can take them to our usual spots? Where you and I hang out together?" he asks her making her perk up at the suggestion before looking at Isha and I for confirmation.
"Hey, you're the tour guide. I'm the tourist." I say with a shrug.
"What about you kid? Wanna see our favorite places?" she asks Isha, who grunts and nods excitedly before grabbing my hand in one and holding Powder's hand in the other, "Alright, let's go. C'mon babe." Powder says as she grabs Ekko's free hand and we make our way through Zaun. Occasionally giving Isha a swing from between Powder and I.
It was moments like these that made life feel normal. Peaceful.
We went browsing through a couple stores and market places. I got to see the depths of this new Zaun and just how much better things were here. Powder and Ekko showed me the usual places they go to spend time together from places filled with the community and places where they can have some privacy like the library I saw earlier; Isha actually got a book for herself. We even ran into Vi, Cait and Sevika while on their patrol and got to hang out with them for awhile before moving on to our next stop. Eventually what felt like noon came around so Powder and Ekko wanted to take Isha and I to a nice cafe that they like to go to and sit down for lunch.
"Trust me. They make some great coffee. Ekko got addicted to it for awhile, so I had to monitor him."
"By monitor me, she means follow me to the cafe and also order herself some coffee and pastries," Ekko clarifies, getting a nudge from Powder, "I ended up being the one to cut us off from having it on the regular."
"I mean, technically, it still worked." Powder says as I laugh and hold Isha. I noticed her getting tired and only purely running on kid energy, making her legs wobble a little so I decided to carry her to the cafe.
"Well I can't.... wait..." I say as I slowly stop, now noticing where we were heading.
The bridge.
Now filled with little market stands and people, but memories come back. Enforcers guarding the bridge. The segregation of two classes of people. Finding Pow- No. Jinx. Finding Jinx on the bridge after not making it in time again. Silco taking her away.
"Y/n?" Powder calls out ahead of me. I snap out of the memories, but my hesitance is still here. Only ever crossing this bridge once before, when we rallied together to fight against Viktor, Ambessa and their army.
"U-Um, so-so the cafe is in Piltover?" I ask already know the answer to that, "We can go there?" I hold Isha closer and guarded to myself and she looks at me worried. My eyes locked and unwavering; looking down the bridge to the other side.
My thoughts too chaotic to notice Powder and Ekko give me looks of concern before approaching me until I feel a hand grab my free one. I look to see Powder and Ekko standing close to me.
"Hey, it's okay. It's not like before; we're allowed to go to Piltover now." Ekko says, and his comforting tone, Powder's hand and Isha holding me close grounds me enough to not panic, but still filled with nervousness.
"Y/n, it's okay. No one is gonna hurt you." Powder says, keeping my hand held in hers and tracing over my knuckles with her thumb as comfort.
"Promise?," I ask, though after a moment I realize how childish I sound now that I think about it so I go to correct myself, "Sor-"
"We promise. It's okay. No one is going to hurt you Y/n," Powder says now interlocking her fingers with my own, "Right, Ekko?"
"She's right. We won't let anything happen." Ekko says before Powder starts leading me onto the bridge.
We walk a slow pace on the bridge as I look back and forth between the small market stalls on either side of the bridge. Seeing both people from Zaun and Piltover just going about their day, talking, bartering and just....... living. To my surprise I even see Jericho about halfway through the bridge serving enforcers that looked to be on their lunch break; he gives us a wave as we walk by and Isha returns the gesture. My nerves start to lower as we slowly make our way across bridge and I just take it all in. It doesn't take too long before we reach the other side into Piltover.
"See it wasn't tha-..... Oh. Are you okay?" Ekko asks as I look back at the bridge and feel some tears slip down my cheek.
"I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean t-"
"Hey, hey! It's okay. It's fine. We got you," Ekko says as he reaches towards me to wipe the tears away, "Better?"
"Yeah, thanks. Sorry about that." I say which makes Powder roll her eyes and groan.
"Stop apologizing. It's fine; you're still getting used to all of this." Powder says before taking second to brush some hair out of my face and behind my ear, "There. Now c'mon, we need to make you an addict like Ekko and I. Not you Isha, you get juice." Powder says as she pulls me along and I see Isha put on a little pout at not being able to try the coffee.
"I'll let you sip from mine." I whisper to her, making her immediately perk back up.
Powder Pov
"Not bad right?" I ask Y/n as she sips from her mug of coffee and looking to be enjoying her drink. A satisfied moan as she drinks the beverage and it sends a tingle down my spine.
"Greeeaaat. Now we gotta prevent another addict." Ekko says as he enjoys a pastry, and Isha having stars in her eyes as she enjoys one of the many pastries on her plate that we got for her.
"I'll be back. I need to use the ladies room." Y/n says as she stands up from her seat and walks away, now giving me time to address something.
"Hey, now that she's gone. What do you think that was about back at the bridge?" I ask, making him think on it for a few seconds before sighing.
"I don't know. Her hesitating to cross the bridge made sense since she's not used to it. But her crying? I have no idea. Maybe something personal? She might have some bad memories on that bridge," Ekko suggests, but I can hear in his tone that he's not sure about his own theory as much as I am, "Whatever it is, we can help her get used to it. She's still adjusting to everything."
'True, but she looked ready to run away from the damn thing.'
"You're probably right. Anyway I was thinking, maybe I can help you with your project for the Innovator's Competition?" I ask and Ekko chokes on his coffee which makes me immediately start patting him on the back.
"Re-*cough* Really!? Why?"
"What, don't want my help now?"
"No, that's not it! I'm happy you want to help. It's just, you seemed pretty hesitant before. Why do you want to help now?" he asks and I shrug my shoulders.
"I don't know. I'm just...." I trail off as I look at Isha enjoying herself and gaze at Y/n's empty seat, "I'm just in a good mood." I say before feeling Ekko wrap an arm around my waist and pull me closer; I lean my head on his shoulder as he does.
"I know what you mean. You think she might want to help too? I know Isha will, she seems to love messing with your old gadgets." he asks, and I can hear the hope in his voice. To be honest that brought an odd feeling of hope to me too; now imagining Y/n joining Ekko and I with our work, or just watching us work from the the side.
"I hope so. She's going be living with dad and I for awhile, so it will be a good way to spend her time than just sitting in bed or something," I admit with hope in my voice, "I don't know about you, but I meant what I said back at the bridge. Even if this whole thing is a little weird. We need to keep her safe, okay?" I ask and he holds my hand in his own.
"I know. Don't worry, we'll protect her. She needs help adjusting and feeling safe here in Zaun, and we will do that for her," he says and Isha grunts and raises her hand while nodding her head, making me laugh as Ekko reaches over to ruffle her hair, "Of course you will too, Isha. We all will." he says, making me smile before glancing back at Y/n's seat.
"I like her." I admit after a few seconds; not knowing what the full meaning behind those words are.
"Me too." Ekko says as well and I can tell there's a deeper meaning behind his words too.
'Whatever it is. I don't want this feeling to go away.'
Hope you enjoyed.

under the festive lights
Lando Norris x Amelie Dayman
Summary: Amelie and Lando celebrate Christmas Eve in MĂ©rida, blending their families in a vibrant, heartwarming holiday gathering.
Wordcount: 1.6 k
Warnings: just fluff
December 24th, 2024 - MĂ©rida, Mexico
The streets of MĂ©rida buzzed with the warmth of the holidays. Lanterns and fairy lights illuminated the colonial buildings downtown, their golden glow reflecting the festive energy in the city. Amelie stood on the porch of her familyâs home, brushing her hair over her shoulder as she watched Landoâs car pull into the driveway.
Her heart gave a little leap, as it always did when she saw him, even now, more than a year into their relationship. The December air was cooler than usual for YucatĂĄn, but Lando had assured her his family would love the warmthâboth of the weather and of her family.
Lando stepped out of the car first, a grin breaking across his face as he caught sight of Amelie waiting for him. He was dressed in a light linen shirt, the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, and dark trousers that made him look effortlessly put-together. His curls were slightly messy, but it was the look Amelie adored most. His family began to file out behind him: his mum, who looked around curiously at the colorful neighborhood; his dad, who immediately offered Amelie a warm smile; his sisters, Cisc and Flo, who were chatting excitedly, and his older brother Oliver, who carried baby Athena, while his wife Sav trailed behind with their other daughter, Mila.
Amelie smiled brightly as Lando walked up the path, his steps quickening when he got closer. Without hesitation, he wrapped his arms around her, lifting her slightly off the ground in a warm hug.
âHola, mi amor,â he murmured into her ear, his voice soft and teasing. âMiss me?â
âNot really,â she quipped, her laugh betraying her words as she clung to him. âYou were only gone for an hour.â
âLongest hour of my life,â Lando teased, pressing a quick kiss to her temple before setting her down.
âYouâre so dramatic,â she teased back, smoothing his shirt where sheâd wrinkled it in their embrace.
âYou love it,â he shot back with a wink.
Amelie rolled her eyes but couldnât suppress her grin. She stepped back to greet the rest of Landoâs family, embracing Cisca and Flo first, their easy warmth already making them feel like part of her own family. Oliver and Sav offered polite hugs, and Mila ran to Amelie with open arms, giggling as Amelie scooped her up effortlessly.
âHola, preciosa,â Amelie cooed, peppering the toddlerâs cheeks with kisses. Mila squealed in delight, clinging to Amelie like theyâd known each other forever.
âSheâs obsessed with you,â Sav said with a laugh, brushing a strand of her dark blonde hair out of her face. âAthena too, honestly. I think theyâre more excited to see you than anyone else.â
âThat makes two of us,â Lando quipped, earning a playful smack on the arm from Amelie as she set Mila back down.
âCome on, everyone,â Amelie said, gesturing toward the house. âMy familyâs inside, and I hope you brought your appetite because dinner is going to be huge.â
Lando intertwined his fingers with hers as they led his family inside. The sound of laughter and the clinking of glasses drifted from the dining room, where Amelieâs family had already gathered. Her mother, Victoria, greeted the Norris family with open arms, her natural warmth immediately putting everyone at ease. ElĂas, Amelieâs father, offered Adam a firm handshake before pulling him into a quick embrace, the kind that felt more familial than formal.
âWelcome to our home,â ElĂas said, his voice rich with sincerity.
âItâs beautiful,â Cisca replied, her eyes darting around to take in the vibrant colors and cozy decor.
Amelieâs siblings quickly made their way over, with Callum introducing himself to Oliver, the two older brothers immediately finding common ground in their easy confidence. Jack, ever the charmer, entertained Flo and Cisca with jokes, while Chequito hovered shyly around Lando, clearly starstruck.
âYou must be Sergio,â Lando said, crouching slightly to be at eye level with Amelieâs youngest nephew. âIâve heard so much about you.â
Chequitoâs face lit up, and he glanced at Amelie for reassurance before offering Lando a small smile. âI watch your races. Youâre really fast.â
Lando grinned, ruffling the boyâs hair. âAnd youâre really cool. Weâll have to race sometime.â
Amelie watched the interaction with a fond smile, leaning into Stella, who stood nearby holding Emilio. âHeâs good with kids,â Amelie murmured.
âYou two are disgustingly cute,â Stella teased back, nudging her gently. âGo save the turkey before Lando eats it all.â
Dinner was a lively, chaotic affair, filled with the kind of warmth that only comes from mixing two families who already adore each other. The table was laden with a feast: turkey, pasta, sandwichĂłn, ham shank, and a variety of fresh salads. Landoâs family tried everything, with Cisca and Flo particularly fascinated by the sandwichĂłn, while Oliver couldnât get enough of the turkey.
âThis is amazing,â Adam said, raising his glass of wine in a toast to Victoria and ElĂas. âThank you for having us and for such a wonderful meal.â
âItâs our pleasure,â Victoria replied with a smile, glancing at Amelie and Lando. âWeâre just happy to finally meet all of you.â
Throughout the meal, Lando and Amelie couldnât keep their hands off each other. Their touches were subtle, Lando resting his hand on her thigh under the table, Amelie brushing her fingers along his wrist as she passed him the breadbasket, but enough to make both their families exchange knowing looks.
âSo, Lando,â Manu said with a mischievous grin, leaning forward. âWhen are you moving to MĂ©rida? You seem pretty settled here already.â
âDonât tempt me,â Lando shot back, winking at Amelie. âI could get used to this.â
Amelie rolled her eyes, her cheeks flushing pink. âHeâd melt in the summer.â
âOnly if you werenât around to keep me cool,â Lando said smoothly, earning a chorus of groans from the table.
Amelie playfully shoved Landoâs shoulder, shaking her head at his shameless flirting, but the smile tugging at her lips betrayed her amusement.
Dinner stretched late into the night, filled with laughter, teasing, and the occasional stories from both families. Victoria recounted embarrassing tales from Amelieâs childhood, much to her daughterâs mortification and everyone elseâs amusement. Not to be outdone, Adam and Cisca shared anecdotes about Landoâs early racing days, including a particularly memorable incident involving a too-small kart and a tantrum at age six.
By the time the plates were cleared and the clock struck 11:50 p.m., the group began migrating to the living room for the traditional Mexican Christmas prayer. Amelie had explained it to Lando earlier, her excitement palpable as she described the significance of celebrating Jesusâ birth with family.
The living room was cozy and festive, with twinkling lights wrapped around the tree and a small Nativity scene set up near the window. Everyone gathered around, some standing, others sitting, with the children perched on laps.
Victoria led the prayer, her voice soft but steady as she spoke of gratitude, love, and family. Lando stood next to Amelie, his arm wrapped around her waist as they bowed their heads. It was a quiet, reflective moment, a sharp contrast to the boisterous energy of dinner, but it felt deeply personal and intimate.
When the prayer ended, the room erupted in cheerful voices wishing each other a merry Christmas. Champagne glasses were distributed, and as the clock struck midnight, everyone clinked their glasses together, exchanging hugs and well-wishes.
Amelie turned to Lando, her eyes shining with warmth. âMerry Christmas, Lan,â she said softly, leaning into him.
âMerry Christmas, Ames,â he murmured, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear before pressing a gentle kiss to her lips.
âUgh, get a room,â Jack groaned from across the room, making them break apart with matching grins.
âDonât tempt us,â Lando shot back, earning a collective laugh from the group.
The next part of the evening was the highlight: the Secret Santa exchange. A large sack of gifts was brought out, and one by one, names were called.
Amelie went first, pulling out a beautifully wrapped package and handing it to Flo with a cheeky grin. âYouâre welcome in advance,â she teased, earning a laugh from the younger girl.
Flo unwrapped the gift to reveal a handcrafted leather journal with her initials embossed on the cover. Her eyes lit up, and she immediately ran to hug Amelie. âThis is amazing! Thank you so much!â
Lando, in true dramatic fashion, waited until nearly the end to reveal his Secret Santa recipient: Jack. He handed over a sleek, gift-wrapped box, smirking as Jack tore it open to reveal a state-of-the-art gaming headset.
âNo way!â Jack exclaimed, turning the headset over in his hands. âYouâre the best, mate. Seriously.â
âI know,â Lando quipped, earning a round of laughter.
When it was Amelieâs turn to receive her gift, her name was called, and she looked surprised when Oliver stepped forward with a mischievous grin.
âMila helped me pick this out,â he admitted, handing her a carefully wrapped gift.
Amelie opened it to find a delicate gold necklace with a small star pendant. Her breath hitched slightly as she looked up at Oliver and then at Mila, who was beaming.
âItâs beautiful,â she said sincerely, bending down to hug the little girl. âThank you, Mila. And you too, Oliver.â
By the time the last gift was unwrapped, the adults were nursing their champagne and the children were starting to nod off. Landoâs family began to gather their things to head back to their hotel downtown, much to Amelieâs quiet disappointment.
She pulled Lando aside as his family prepared to leave, her hand tugging gently at his. âAre you really going to leave me here all alone?â
âYouâre hardly alone, Ames. Your entire family is here,â he replied, though his teasing grin faltered when he saw the pout on her lips.
âBut itâs Christmas, Lan. Donât make me sleep without you tonight. Itâs cruel.â
Lando chuckled softly, brushing a thumb over her cheek. âYouâre ridiculously persuasive, you know that?â
âOnly because I know what I want,â she shot back, her voice dropping to a whisper. âAnd right now, I want you to stay.â
He sighed dramatically, as though the decision was agony, but the twinkle in his eye gave him away. âFine. Let me drop my family off at the hotel, and Iâll come right back. Happy?â
âEcstatic,â Amelie replied, grinning as she wrapped her arms around his neck. She pressed a soft kiss to his lips, her smile lingering against him. âDrive safely.â
âAlways do,â he murmured, stealing one last kiss before heading off to see his family out.
True to his word, Lando returned not even thirty minutes later, dressed down in a plain white t-shirt and grey sweatpants, looking entirely too comfortable as he slipped back into the house. Amelie was waiting for him in the living room, curled up on the couch in one of his hoodies.
âYou look cozy,â he teased, dropping down beside her and pulling her into his arms.
âAnd you look like youâre ready for bed,â she shot back, snuggling closer to him.
âFunny, thatâs exactly where I was planning to go.â He smirked, leaning down to press a kiss to the top of her head. âMerry Christmas, Ames.â
She looked up at him, her expression soft and full of affection. âMerry Christmas, Lan.â
The rest of the house was quiet now, the children fast asleep and the adults having retired to their rooms. In the warm glow of the twinkling lights on the Christmas tree, Lando and Amelie stayed curled up together, their whispers and laughter filling the quiet night as they soaked in the joy of the holidayâand the undeniable comfort of being home, in every sense of the word.

i have this long-running fantasy about roman needing a handler because he cant be trusted not to run his mouth in public and rather than saying you're his assistant, which is what you agreed upon when you took the job, he introduces you as his girlfriend (because he knows what an uncomfortable position it puts you in and he fucking loathes what you represent) and weaponizes it as an excuse to publicly sexually harass you at every given opportunity trying to break your spirit but it actually just makes everyone involved furiously horny :3 :3 :3
âSheâs my fucking girlfriend. I can grab her however I want. Right, sweetheart?â
Itâs the hardest thing youâve had to do so far in your newly acquired position. Officially, off the books, your single priority and purpose is to watch Roman. To be his glorified babysitter, so to speak. Everything was set in place, everything went so well and so easily for weeks. Weeks. It was easy to play the role of assistant - take notes, suffer his constant moaning and groaning and bitching, his lewd jokes and incessant flirting. Itâs not hard to ignore his advances and take them for what they are, Roman acting out and being an asshole. The constant forced bravado. His smirking, his wandering eye, constantly sliding over your body like oil, like hands.
But this - this you canât ignore. You look into the surprised faces of Kendall and Shiv, their eyes bouncing between you and Roman to discern what the fuck is going on.
âGirlfriend?â Shiv scoffs. âIsnât she your assistant? Can you - can you even legally date your assistant, Rome?â
Kendall charges into the conversation, ready to control it. âWait, wait⊠is this for real?â He eyes you specifically, but the only thing you feel is internal panic. âAre you fucking with us?â
âNah, nope. Real deal. Sheâs not even my assistant, I just like to keep sexy secrets around.â Roman wraps an arm around your waist and yanks you closer, watching you with his glittering, dark eyes. âIsnât that right?â
The flush creeping up your neck paints you the most embarrassing shade of red. Romanâs smirk tells you that he could eat you alive, that heâs enjoying every awkward second of this forced exchange. And - oh fuck. Fuck. He knows.
Heâs not supposed to know - nobody is. Employed specifically by the hand of God himself (which is to say, Logan and Gerri), your only job aside from watching Roman is to keep the secret. To act as his assistant, but not to let on. Itâs hard enough not to move under the penetrating gaze of his siblings, too smart for their own good. Itâs been even more difficult to pull the wool over Romanâs eyes. For being such a snotty little nepo-baby brat, heâs actually insanely clever. He has the eyes of a hawk, ears always open. He sees. He notices, he takes mental notes. He can put things together quickly.
You laugh nervously and try to relax into his grip. âUm - well⊠I didnât think weâd be⊠going⊠public anytime soon, Roman. So, thanks for the⊠heads-up.â
Roman beams at you, triumphant. He stares at his siblings, skates his hand down to grope your ass, giggling when you jump.
âWow. Wow, Rome,â Shiv says, shaking her head. She looks at you apologetically, though she snorts laughter into her glass. âI feel sorry for you. What a choice.â
âYeah,â you sigh. âYeah, it sure is."
Roman parades you around the rest of the night, ignoring your attempts to corner him and demand an explanation. He keeps the drinks coming, drinking more than usual for himself. Something simmer underneath his enthusiasm - of course, he's finding plenty of enjoyment toying with you. He takes any and every opportunity to swirl you around the room and eye-fuck you, his lips wet from the alcohol, cheeks red.
At one point, he corners you into another room. A den, a library, something, the lights shut off - a room in somebodyâs rich house full of somebodyâs rich things. Romanâs glazed eyes shine in the dark as he advances on you, stepping calmly forward until your ass hits the edge of a table. He leans forward, barely blinking as he rests his palms on the surface of the table. His breath smells like whiskey, but there are other smells - his sweat gliding on his aftershave, whatever he styles his hair with. A whiff of cologne. He waits a beat, riding on that delicious, nervous silence as you do your best to return his intensive gaze. Heâs so close. You have never been this close to him, ever - maybe imagined it, idly, thinking about how despite all of his infuriating habits and his general attitude and how much of a fucking brat he is for a 40-something-year old man, heâs⊠charming. Handsome as a demon, with a tongue to match. What that tongue might do instead of attacking people. What his slim fingers might do.
âYouâve been lying to me,â he says playfully, and he isnât playing at all. âLiar, liar.â
âYeah,â you admit quietly. No use in denying it now. Thereâs an immediate satisfaction in his smirk, but it melts off, the curve of his smile sliding back down into a near scowl.
âI donât need you. I donât need - whatever this is. Itâs fucking bullshit.â
âI donât work for you.â Your voice so soft, so measured. It takes real effort as the alcohol clouds you, as his gaze sets you on fire, and how could it not? âI - Iâm just doing my job.â
âYour job.â Roman takes this in, rolls it around on his tongue, in his mind. He tilts his head and looks away only for a moment before heâs burning into your eyes again, so bright and angry. âRight.â
âRight.â
Roman keeps his eyes trained on yours and it becomes sort of an unspoken contest. Itâs easy to do, melting into his own eyes like a snapping, green fire, ringed in gold. You hadnât really noticed before just how beautiful they are. This is your focus as the first tickling of his fingers surprise you - his hand, sneaking up your skirt. They line the inside of your thighs like silk, curious, testing. Taking barely seconds until theyâre brushing against your flesh - his eyes widen and his lips part, jaw hitting the proverbial floor.
âNothing, huh?â He laughs in a harsh, quick breath, anger sliding into something easier - the knowing, the bedroom-eyed stare. The smirk comes back, but itâs fluid this time in a way thatâs hard to describe. Softer. More satisfied. âNothing underneath your skirt. Do you always do that?â
âNot⊠not always,â you whisper. The hard swallow makes an audible sort of click in your throat and he laughs, a genuine laugh like bells. It makes you warm in all that dark, cloaked in it all like some kind of syrupy drug coursing through your veins. You find yourself leaning into his lazy caressing, yet to actually part the seam of your cunt. Petting, stroking, but never pushing inside.
âMmm. But just for me, yeah?â He leans in closer, eyes darting toward your lips as he leans in. You can practically taste him. He barely moves, barely breathes, brushing his lips so close to yours you swear you can feel it, but you do nothing in return. Nothing yet. Your hips buck forward without your permission and he smiles. His fingers come away before theyâve done much of anything, and he watches as he pushes them between your lips. âYou know something? I want to hear you say it. I want to hear you say that you lied to me, that you want me, and that you like me doing this to you.â
Itâs not easy to talk with his knuckles between your teeth, so you donât, opting instead to suck on them as they slowly come back out. He pushes them between his own lips, like heâs desperate to taste so much as your own mouth. He nods gently. Do it.
âI⊠was hired by your Dad, and -â
âNo. No, try again. Just like I told you.â
His fingers come back. He waits, stroking your inner thigh, so close. So fucking close.
âI⊠lied to you,â you breathe. He nods encouragingly, knuckles brushing your sex once again. Itâs easy to continue, so the words fall out of your mouth: âI⊠wantâŠâ
âCâmon,â he murmurs, and he leans into the curve of your throat, lips brushing it. The tip of his tongue traces a line of fire there, unable to stop himself from pressing his lips against your pulse and sucking you between his teeth, biting, marking you. His fingertips dip into the cleft of your cunt, teasing. âKeep going.â
âI want⊠you⊠to - oh my godâŠâ
Roman pushes his fingers slowly inside of you, beckons them, stroking where he knows you want it. A sounds comes up through Romanâs throat, almost a purr, so delicate and needy that neither of you acknowledge it. It sets you ablaze. It has you clutching at his suit jacket, rocking into his gentle ministrations. He holds back, waiting, wanting you to say it.
âI - I want⊠I want a f-fucking⊠promise.â
âDemanding,â he teases into your throat. He kisses his way to the corner of your jaw. âTell me what you want.â
âI - I want an office. My own. A nice one.â
âAn office?â Roman barks a laugh, faltering in his movements just for a second before resuming. âAn office, huh. What next? A raise? I thought you didnât work for me.â
âYeah, actually,â you agree breathlessly, rocking your hips a little. âI do want a raise. I want a raise, I want my own office, and I want you to keep your mouth shut about knowing - knowing what I do.â
Roman hums, and suddenly heâs pushing another finger inside, twisting them to pump into your harder, a little faster. Being mean about it. Trying to take control of the situation, to punish you, maybe. He drinks in the gasp you make, the way you tense up and go up on your tiptoes to escape such direct pressure. He takes his free hand and grasps your shoulder, pushing you back down so youâre flat on your feet and taking it. His thumb presses into your collarbone, close to your throat. A warning.
âAnd why in the fucking Christ would I do that?â
âB-because - because you⊠I-â
Roman grabs your face, digging his fingers into your jaw until it hurts. His fingers fuck into you with a brutal, unrelenting pace, and itâs getting harder to think. Itâs hard to stay still, to stay quiet. Anger wars inside of you, but how turned on you are trumps everything else. You wince and whine quietly as he jerks your face around, glaring, and if it werenât for the way he finger-fucks your wet cunt, youâd be convinced he was enraged. Furious. Absolutely ready to tear you apart. And maybe he is. The thought titillates you further and your eyes roll back as a moan ghosts its way past your lips. He shakes your head and clucks his tongue, admonishing you.
âStop being such a desperate, stupid fucking slut and think. Use your words. If you canât string a single coherent thought together, why would I even think of keeping you around at all, much less reward you with a new office? Explain it to me or Iâll stop.â
âNo,â you protest, and the sound of desperation in your voice brings shame as heavy and deep as the rumble of laughter coming up from Romanâs belly, up through his chest as it seems to fill the room. The sheer derision in that laugh. It has you shuddering, trying to ride his fingers all the same, trying to look away. But thereâs nowhere to escape. Trapped against the desk, forced to stare at him.
âYou know, I should fire you. I should let everyone know Iâm in on the big, bad secret and get you the fuck out of here.â
âNo,â you repeat, swallowing a moan. âNo. If you do, Iâll -â
âYeah? Youâll what?â
âIâll f-fucking tell your daddy that you forced me to drink a-and, and that you -â
â- that I..?â
âThat you raped me, right here, and your whole fucking life will be upended and ruined.â
âOh,â he coos, leaning in to brush his lips against yours. âOh, well - hey, babe, donât you know you need my cock for that? There are better ways of asking me to fuck you. If you werenât such a dumb whore, youâd know that. Is that what you want? Huh?â Roman yanks his fingers out of you and the loss makes you gasp. He struggles with his pants, his belt, and suddenly his cock is out and heâs pushing your thighs apart. There are going to be bruises in the soft, generous flesh of your inner thighs in a couple days, developing bright blue and aching. âBut if this is the narrative, we gotta stick to it. Right?â
He shoves inside of you with a violence that surprises you, and itâs hard to tell whatâs a game and what isnât, what heâs really feeling or thinking. All thatâs clear is the molten heat between you. He pushes you down on top of the desk, scrambling papers, shoving a stack of books off of it. He presses a hand over your mouth and buries his nose into your throat, breath hot there, tickling. He grunts into your flesh as he sets a brutal pace, palm mashing your lips back against your teeth. The legs of the desk shift and creak with his thrusts.
âShouldâve confronted you earlier. This is fun.â
Fuck off. Itâs mangled to near-unrecognizable against his palm, but he laughs anyway, moaning. His hips pick up the pace and he really fucks into you, like he wants to split you in half. He likes it, likes the pathetic, scared little sounds you make, like you canât decide if you want to cum or cry. He bites down, deciding that maybe both would be really fun. You know, just to teach you a lesson. To let you know whoâs really in charge.
âTell you what - if you can cum before I do, Iâll give you what you want. You just gotta do this one thing for me - right? Hey - sshhh, stop fucking whining like that. Youâre enjoying it. Itâs pretend, remember? Arenât we playing one big fun fuckinâ game? You, pretending to be my assistant? So this isnât real, sweetheart - I canât fuck my slutty little assistant in here if she isnât real, right?â He grunts and stills his hips a moment, shuddering before resuming his pace, laughing. âClose one. Youâre gunna have to hurry up.â
You squeeze your eyes shut and snake a hand between your thighs. Roman doesnât stop you - in fact, he only increases the ferocity, like heâs on a mission to derail you. It only serves you to your own end - already aroused beyond belief, cunt clenching around his cock, you give in to the waves rippling through your muscles. You whine and pant against his hand, trying to stay quiet, hips rocking back to meet his inconsistent rhythm as he falls apart. He pulls out, shooting ropes of his cum against your exposed cunt - he spreads you with his free thumb, holding you open so he can cum all over your pulsing clit, your fingers before you can snatch them away, guiding yourself through the aftershocks. He pants, staring at his handiwork as he pulls his slacks back up. He takes a step back to watch you struggle, to watch you shamefully push your fingers into your mouth. Thereâs nowhere else to clean them, anyway - thatâs what you tell yourself as he lifts his eyebrows, sneering at you.
âWow,â he says appreciatively. âOkay. Youâll go the extra mile and everything, huh? Well - a promise is a promise, honey. Youâll get yours⊠as long as I keep getting mine.â He winks and turns to leave, leaving the door open as he strolls way and leaves you to straighten yourself up.

littlepogue!reader - cupcake chaos đ±âš
Ëâșâ§âËâĄËââ§âșË
summary: little pogue vivianne keller thinks she could be a baking prodigy, but can her hands cause anything other than disaster?
c!w: none! pure fluff Û« êŁà§
pairing: littlepogue!reader x pogues (platonic)
read my little pogue oc, vivianne kellers moodboard & intro first
you were hard at work in the kitchen, covered in flour and batter, while the pogues lounged around the chateau deep in convo.
"guys, i promise this time, IT WILL BE LEGENDARY" you said, holding up a box of cupcake mix like it was a priceless artifact
"uh, y'know cupcakes are supposed to be like, sweet, right vee" John B teased sitting on the counter next to you
"shush! they're gonna be perfect" you shot back at him, slapping his arm harshly
pope stuck his head back out from the fridge "right... just as perfect as your pancake cookies from last week..."
JJ stopped his obnoxious crunching on some expired chips to comment "welp man! I'm down, if they're good we get good food, if they're not we get to make fun of vivi's baking skills! win-win." he chuckled at his own joke, popping another chip in his mouth.
kiara let out a loud groan as she walked into the kitchen, "is she doing this again?" eyeing you, preparing herself for disaster. "oh, its happening," JJ responded " and we are all estimated to die from a sugar overload in about an hour"
kiara giggled, turning back to you "vee, if these end up like your pancake cookies, im locking you out of the kitchen forever."
you side-eyed her, about to argue back, and then... ding! the oven timer went off.
"prepare to be amazed" you said, putting on oven mitts while everyone quickly surrounded you, carefully opening the oven door.
pulling out the tray, everyone collectively gasped. the cupcakes were.... well- creative! you still had hope though, setting them on the counter. JJ poked one with a fork, watching it deflate like a balloon. "whoops, think I just killed one, my bad."
everyone took a cupcake, suspiciously eyeing it, and you counted down to three so everyone could taste it at the same time.
"2....3." everyone bit into their cupcake, only letting a second pass before chaos erupted. John B quickly rushed to the trash can to spit it out, while JJ just spat his on the floor. you slowly continued to chew yours, trying to put up a fake front before you spat yours out in the sink.
"vivi ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL US?" kiara said frantically
"i followed the recipe exactly?! i have no idea how it could turn out like this!" you responded suspiciously
John B looked around confused, raising his eyebrow before looking at you, "vee... now that I think about it, we don't even have measuring tools" you blinked at him... maybe it could've been that... he continued "or SUGAR."
you shot him a confused look before pointing to a glass container containing tiny white crystallines. "then what the hell is that?"
pope walked over, and turned the container to its front, revealing a large label reading "SALT" you looked around in silence, before the group bursted out in laughter, you included.
"you're definitely making history with this one, as the worst cupcakes ever" JJ chuckled
"one day, you're all gonna regret doubting me" you said while pope wrapped his arm around you, patting your head. "are you gonna poison us?" he joked, getting a laugh out of everyone.
"fine! I admit defeat this time" you said, plopping yourself onto the couch next to Kiara.
kiara hugged you tightly, "i think it would be the safest to stick to store-bought cupcakes"
you didn't care about cupcakes though, for now, you were happy to be in the moment surrounded by laughter, bad cupcakes, and pure ridiculousness.

perhaps it's a testament to the raw emotion of the moment that, in a laugh that chokes out like a sob, reggie's tears turn to some kind of manic humor. because this, all of this, is so perfect and warm and comforting. the way dmitri wraps him up in his arms and holds him, the way fingers thread though hair that he's let go curly instead of trying to style to hell and back to flatten it out, the way his body presses against the other man for more contact, fingers curl into the back of his shirt to hold him there for longer, face disappears against the warm shoulder under it.
what an easy thing it would be to simply kiss that shoulder, to twist his head and find a soft spot on his neck to press his lips to, to pull back and finally kiss the big, dumb oaf on the mouth and get all of this over with.
but he's started to cry and that feels like the wrong time to do that. if he ever finds courage enough to kiss this man, he wants to do it in a way that's so romantic that dmitri can't help but feel his toes curl and his heart hammer the way reggie's is now, probably so hard that the other man can feel it thundering against his chest like a rocket. his joke is almost too perfectly timed, and another one of those manic little giggles slips out of him. "god, you're dumb sometimes." eyes close, and he presses further into that hug, holds the man longer, leans into every touch.
he's gonna end up with a serious problem if dmitri keeps grabbing his hair and his waist, sliding his hands all around his body like a playground. but god, does reggie wish he was doing it without this stupid apron, this stupid shirt, these stupid pants...
head shaking as he tries to clear the errant thoughts, he simply clears his throat, reaches up to scrub at his face when dmitri's hands are gone. "i'm good. i'm fine." he doesn't have to be and he knows that. but he is, because this is a mess of his own making. "you didn't make me cry. i made me cry. you know how i am, man. i get into my head, i think too much, i freak out over everything. i didn't have a lot of friends growing up, now i think we both know why." his laugh, self deprecating and shaky, is weak as he blows out a breath. "i'm sorry." he says again, for lack of something else to say.
he still feels like he's ruined the night, but he doesn't move from the kitchen, instead, finally forcing himself to look at dmitri, head on, in the eye. "you-- he isn't a weird ass guy, by the way." it would be so easy to just say it, to just lay it all out now. the warmth of that hug, as well as the flush on his cheeks, still linger, and his eyes roam a wall of hard muscle hidden far too much by clothing before he shrugs and meets those warm eyes again. "he's kind of...." coward. weak. loser. "you're kind of great."
not a confession. but close. ripping off a bandaid, chickening out at the last second. running into burning buildings is far easier than this.
Dmitri was completely blindsided when Reggie's voice, thick with unshed tears, broke into heartfelt apologies. Everything came so completely out of the blue, and Reggie's voice was so raw with emotion, that Dmitri dropped his tools and immediately did a double take at him. He has no idea what Reggie could possibly be sorry for, though he patiently listens as he friend poured out those feelings.
Ruined the night?
"Reg," Dmitri began, a nervous chuckle bubbling up in his chest, "What're you...." The words caught in his throat. What in the ever living fuck was Reggie talking about? Dmitri couldn't process the quivering emotion in Reggie's voice, the suddenness of it all. And the thought of Reggie leaving him here alone tonight⊠filled him with the coldest dread.
Thatâs when his friend turns to face him, lips parting to spill more fragmented nonsense. Dmitri's growing pretty desperate for clarity, but Reggie keeps his gaze fixed downward, avoiding eye contact, though the flushed pink in his cheeks gives him away. Heâs either on the verge of crying or already there. Dmitriâs heart stops and stutters------ then it races, pounding with a nervous energy far beyond what his mind can process. What could Reggie possibly mean?
"Hey, man⊠câmere." Dmitri softens his voice, closing the distance between them in a few quick steps. His strong arms encircle Reggieâs shoulders, intending a brief, casual hug between two bros. But what starts as a simple gesture lingers, stretches----- because Dmitri doesnât want to let go. Thereâs something grounding in the closeness; the scent of Reggieâs shampoo, the smooth warmth of his neck brushing against Dmitriâs scruff, the steady rise and fall of his chest pressed right into his own. Itâs unfairly comforting. The tension that had gripped Dmitri earlier simply just melts, replaced by something far gentler.
Reggie wasnât his. Not really. But in a way, he was----- as much as a close friend could be. And for Dmitri, that was everything. Heâd take whatever Reggie was willing to give, no matter how unsteady it left him, because the bond between them had already unraveled any pretense of sanity he mightâve held.
His fingers move without thought, threading through Reggieâs hair, massaging his scalp, cradling his head against his shoulder. In the quiet, Dmitri finally finds room to think. He realizes what mightâve brought them here: while Dmitri saw confrontation as a way to clear the air and get back to being on the same page, others, like perhaps Reggie, might not. Not everyone was a fighter. Some took even the slightest conflict personally, mistaking it for rejection. And that? That just wasnât true. Not for Reggie. Not in Dmitriâs heart.
When he pulls back, itâs to get a proper look at Reggieâs face------ and thatâs when he sees the faint shimmer of tears caught on long, elegant lashes. Gently, Dmitri brushes a stray tear from Reggieâs cheek with the roughened pad of his thumb. His expression folds into worry, his voice quiet and rasped with care.
"...I made you cry?"
His dark eyes search Reggieâs, desperate for answers. Confusion twists with fear, because if Reggie thought their friendship might crumble under whatever weight he was carrying, then Dmitri was failing him. All he wanted to do was kiss away the tears, feel the warmth of Reggieâs blush beneath his tongue, and reassure him all soft and sweetly.
"Iâm not ending our friendship just âcuz you got a crush on some weird ass guy you donât wanna talk about," Dmitri offers, a very small attempt at humor slipping into his raw, uncertain tone. His large hands drop to the slender muscle of Reggieâs waist, holding him there a moment before sliding around to untie the knot of his apron with careful, deliberate motions. "Why donât you go curl up by the fire and let me finish up in here?"
It feels like Reggie needs space, to cry, to let whatever heâs carrying out, and Dmitri wants to give that to him. But the uncertainty gnaws at him. Does Reggie want him there? Or would he rather be alone? Dmitri doesnât know.
The Dmitri of the past wouldnât have cared. Hell, he probably wouldâve laughed at the sight of another man crying. But after a few good coaches (and some brutally honest friends) stepped in and told him to cut the overly macho bullshit and get his head on straight, Dmitri had pushed himself to do the necessary inner work. The process hadnât been easy, but it'd made him a better man, more attuned to the emotions of those around him. And yet, fear still lingered there... the fear that, despite his growth, he might still hurt the people he cared about most.
Right now, his heart pounds with that fear. What if Reggie ran? Out into the snowstorm, away from this place Dmitri cherished most in the world? The thought settles like a heavy stone in his chest. He doesnât want to lose him---- not to the storm, not to fear, not to misunderstanding. Sheer desperation is in his eyes, silently pleading for Reggie to stay.
But Dmitri canât bring himself to say it aloud.

I thought I was the only one who dislikes my older sister's not-yet-fiancĂš-boyfriend and I feel so vindicated and less crazy now that my younger sister and I had a lil moment of "đ do you?" "đI mean I think I do but do you??" and finally said aloud that we get the same sketchy ass hater vibes from this childish dude. I fr thought I was just a lil manhater (I am) with unjustified resentment towards this man, but I was right! Either I'm right or we're both wrong but atp I'm okay with both options
#the rancid vibes were Unmatched and I am always right is the lesson of today#no because wdym he has only ever dated girls with Your Nickname???
