You wake up with the sun on your face with the smell of warm tea on the nightstand. Looking around, hoping to see at least one of your mates, but Jane stood in the room waiting. She greeted you a "Morning" then poured your morning tea, something that Marcus or Aro always did.
Surprised not to have them by your side in the morning, you brush past and give a "Good morning," watching as she puts the teapot down on the nightstand. "The lords had an early trial this morning," she says with a sorry look before walking out for you to enjoy your tea. You look at it sitting there and decide to skip it with it not feeling the same. 'They could have left a note or a rose even' You thought to yourself while getting out of bed then making your way to the bathroom to change into your daily wear.
Finshing up and then into the hall, you walked closer to their courtroom, hearing the pleas of the vampire on trial. Sitting down back against the wall, you watch as Felix and Demetri look over, then go back to business. Looking at the vampire on trial, a pale man with red eyes. He looked scared. You listened carefully, wanting to know about the man's crimes. "Please, I didn't mean to hurt her." "I didn't kill her. It was a man with an axe. Please read my thoughts, please!" He cries out like an animal in its final moments.
You stand up, knowing that Aro would listen to you if you talked to him. Putting your hand on Aro's arm then looking into his red eyesyou tell him you feelings, he returned his gaze to the man and extended his hand. The man takes quickly grabbing with a gasp, Aro pulls his hand back seeing the truth in the man. "I see." He says then nods to Felix and Demetri. Closing your eyes hearing the man thanking you's as he was dragged away out of the big doors. Looking at Marcus and Caius, then back at Aro, you could see disappointment in their faces as they turned their attention to you.
"Tesoro mio"My Darling, Aro says, with worry in his eyes as he looks at you, "Why didn't you give that man a fair trial like you give everyone else?" You said while looking at him with an eyebrow raised not letting him have a chance to get another word in. He pushes you out lightly, wanting you out of the room. Turing around you plant your feet on the ground, wanting an explanation.
You see Caius next to you, along with Marcus. "We didn't want him to get free as he likes to roam the streets looking for prey in the daytime. He is a liability." Holding your hand, Caius says, before you could say anything, "My lords, there is a problem in the gardens." A guard says from behind you. They vanished out of the room and into the gardens. You knew this would be a challenging day for you, as trying to get your mates attention was always so hard as their work filled up their days, but when you did, it was a rewarding experience.  - Throughout the day, you found ways to entertain yourself without them. You started to paint in the garden. You could hear footsteps coming from the hall. You peeked out of the door and saw one of your mates. "Marcus, look, I painted the new flower we put in the garden," you say, with excitement filling your tone. He smiles at you before looking over at the painting. "Oh, I see." He looks at your painting and then back at the flower.
But instead of the usual kiss and "good job" that you would get if he wasn't in a hurry his face turned into confusion. "My dear, this isn't the same flower, see," he said, pointing out the flaws in the painting. He goes on about how you need to get better, you feel your heart break a bit.
Even if he did tell you that something was off, he would never be this blunt with his words. "Oh okay, Thank you love," You say, turning back to the painting hearing as he left the room, 'Maybe he-' You cut your thoughts off not wanting to give him an excuse to treat you like that. Wipping the hot tears from your cheek then looking around your room "I'll come back later," you say before walking out of the room.
Finding yourself walking up to Caius's study room. You smile as you start to run up to the door. Opening it hoping that he will be able to make your sad feelings go away. Caius looked up then back down at his book, "Hello love, I-" "Please Y/N go spend time with Marcus. I'm sure he would love to see throughts of your painting more than me." He said it before you could finish your welcome. You nod and walk away, feeling even worse.
Shutting the door behind you trying to stay silent. Walking around the corner, you see Aro walking down the hall, "Aro!" You say, trying to brighten up for him. He smiles and walks past you. You stand there confused then running back beside him, "I was thinking maybe we could have lunch together if you're not busy." You say this as you link your arm with his. He smiles at you as he pulls his arm back from you and says, "I'm sorry, I have too much work today. I'm sure Caius is up for lunch. I think he said something about 'walking with you in the garden'." Before you can respond to his lie, he runs off. You huff as you stand there, your heart pounding with tear ready to spill over. - You find yourself walking to Marcus's library. You always find something to cheer you up in there, whether it be a book or Marcus himself. You pushed the events that have been happening with your mates to the back of your head as much as you could before walking into the room. You look in to see Marcus standing in front of one of the many bookshelves in the room, his back facing you. He walks past you to the table with the books you had picked up and piled up yesterday. An idea popped into your head as you picked up the first book you saw.
You start to walk to Marcus almost skipping to him, and ask, "Can you read this to me?" You say, holding out the book. He looks at you for a second before looking back at the book. "Sorry love, I don't have time to read that." He says, and takes another look at it before laughing out, "You wanted me to read you a fairy tale book?" With an eyebrow raised, you feel tears welling up in your eyes from his words.
You thought as he always did, now chuckling to himself, "You've done it before." He ignores you. He takes another book off of the shelf and opens it. You walk away in pieces, making it to the doorway of your bedroom.
Opening your door then locking it you wasted no time letting your tears out, , you couldn't hold it back anymore. You could feel your love for them fade away. You had made your decision after the pain and embarrassment they had caused you and after ignoring you for so long.
Pushing yourself out of bed to your closet, where you found the suitcase you hadn't touched since you arrived. Unzipping it you threw what could fit in there while wiping your tears away then continuing. After you finished, you could feel the air leave your lungs as you saw all the lovely pictures of your mates and you with smiles planted on your faces. "We had no idea," you whispered, looking back at your actions that were taking place in front of your eyes.
Making your way out of the room that was once shared with you and your mates, all the happy moments flashing before your eyes. Wiping your last tears with a sigh as you made your way out the back through the garden. There was no use in facing them. They would only brush you off. You were irrelevant to them. Vision blurred by more tears streaming down your face; the thought of your mates thinking you're nothing more than the floor they walk on was too much for you to bear.
Walking on your feet became more difficult as you saw the exit. All the love you gave them in the good days is nothing now. Looking back on the dates and kisses you shared with them as you finally step out of the garden that was once your favorite spot hurts you even more. You turn your back, not wanting to feel the pain of looking back. If only they made more time for you if only they showed their love a bit more. Surely they knew they were tearing you apart.
Making your way a bit farther, a pain in your chest starts, before you could turn your mates blurred in front of you making you step back and look down, not wanting meet their cold eyes. "Amore mio my love, why are you out here with-" "Don't!" You yell You hear cutting Aro's words cut off as he sees the state you are in. You made Aro speechless for the second time in your lifetime. You still remember the first time.
It was when you looked at him when he was talking to Carlisle that you were a friend of Bella's and came to play and hang with the Cullens. The Volturi came to pay a surprise visit before Aro could talk. You walked into his line of sight, and he stood there speechless. On another occasion, you would have smiled at the memory; but here you are broken and leaving him and the others.
"Tesoro mio" My Darling  You hear Caius, "Please just ignore me like you've been doing. It'll be easier for all of us. " You say, trying to hold your tears back. You look up to see their faces filled with worry and hurt. You look away once again. "We have hurt you," Marcus says, with a soft tone.
Struggling now to hold your tears "That's fucking obvious isn't it" you scoff. "I thought that maybe you would give me at least a minute of your love or attention today, and the other days I've tried, but I can see that your work is far more important than me." You bite back "We didn't-" "Didn't notice, yeah, that's why I'm here leaving. I just hope maybe someone else will appreciate my love because none of you did." You yell, cutting off Aro. Your tears and sobs that were once suppressed came spilling out. If only they had loved you as much as they loved their work if only they had realized how much they had broken you.

Obi-Wan had been beaten and bruised for days, but he wasn't nearly as harmed by that as he was by the electric shock that had coursed through him on the day he'd been captured. They whipped him, trying to sell him off to one of the many buyers who had attended the auction. Anakin of course jumped in before anything could progress too far, but in the end, Obi-Wan and Rex were put to work in one of the labor holds.
His spirit was slowly breaking, which he didn't think was possible, but it wasn't due to weakness. It was due to the fact that he felt you get the life shocked out of your body, and hasn't been able to become in tune with your signature since then. He knew it was foolish to believe that you'd simply been unconscious for this long, but he wasn't willing to acknowledge your death, so he held onto his hope that you were only sleeping.
By the time the recue had been set into fruition, he wasn't sure what he was to do. He felt he had somehow lost his role in all this, and it was taking a toll on him to try and find his way back.
He and Rex took on all the guards in the command center, and upon coming closer to the slave keeper named Argos, he could feel some of your signature radiating off of the man from when you had used the force on him. He was the one responsible for whatever happened to you. He was the one who had you in a state of panic. He was absolutely furious with the man but would wait until the opportune moment to deal with him.
After all the guards were down, and the doors were sealed shut, it was down to Obi-Wan, Rex, and the slaver, who was cornered to a wall.
"You're a Jedi, you wont kill an unarmed man," he taunted, holding his hands up in surrender. He could see the vengeance in Obi-Wan's eyes, but knew he was unable to act upon it. He was reveling in the satisfaction, but a second later, Rex hurdled the electric spear straight into his chest, short circuiting him, and the console behund him as well. It was over, now.
"I'm no Jedi," Rex said with ferocity, though his words never reached the ears of the man he killed.
-
The mission was a success, on all accounts, the only setback: you.
Once they started loading the Togruta colony onto the starship, it was up to Anakin and Obi-Wan to find you, but where? Your signature wasn't very strong, simple a lull in the force, which echoed every so often. It all seemed lost until Anakin searched the broken database and was just barely able to find a cell with a lifeform unaccounted for.
Obi-Wan didn't hesitate to go running in that direction, others going behind him.
The cell block had been completely cleared out, with one door locked as an exception. He nodded to Rex, who shot the control panel beside said door a moment later. The door slid open, and the room exposed to them was dark and dusty.
When Obi-Wan saw you lied in the center of the floor, curled up into yourself for warmth and protection, his heart broke. It reminded him of when Count Dooku had taken you, keeping you under lock and key and torturing you. He swore he'd never let it happen to you again, but he did. Your body was even more exposed to the world than it had been originally, the top of your slave outfit being torn up, so it was only suitable as a bralette, now. The skirt was ripped all the way on both sides, giving him sight of your legs and hips, covered with bruises, and rough hand marks. Come to think of it, the more he looked at your body, the more bruises and marks he saw on you.
He sensed your force presence stronger now, and wrapped himself around it, trying to bring you to consciousness. You stirred in your sleep but refused to wake up. He wasn't going to waste any more time, he decided, so he lifted you up and cradled you in his arms, walking out of the cell and nodding for the men to follow him.
"We got her," Rex spoke into the comm link, and Obi-Wan swore he could hear Anakin and Ahsoka's breaths of relief on the other end.
Once on the ship, everyone offered Obi-Wan to take you off his hands, to make sure you were well cared for and to make sure you were in a secure environment where you could rest. He declined to every person, politely of course, but his responses were quite immediate.
He never even let you leave his arms. Given that there was an entire colony aboard the starship at the moment, there weren't many places to sit, so Obi-Wan found a quiet corner of the ground in the large hull, sitting down and holding you close to him, all wrapped up in his cloak to give you more coverage than the slave girl outfit you had been wearing.
The first time he saw you walk out of the fresher wearing it, he froze. He couldn't take his eyes off of you, because he'd never seen you that way before, never seen that much of your body. He hated how exposed you were in that outfit, because others were going to see you in it. He didn't even feel particularly right staring at you for so long when you put it on, but he couldn't help himself. You did look beautiful.... but you always looked beautiful.
He watched down upon your face as you began to wake, your eyes squinting against the rough lights that were so intense. You shifted in his arms, and when you began to feel your surroundings, you panicked. Your eyes went wide, and you felt the sensation of being trapped in someone's hold. You spazzed out, falling from his embrace and onto the ground, only then realizing who it was that was holding you.
"It's just me," he leaned forward, letting you see his face and trying to calm you down. You were breathing erratically, and he wanted to help, but the closer he got, the more you seemed to freak out.
"Obi," you said, closing your eyes and wrapping your arms around yourself. "I'm sorry, I didn't-"
"What have they done to you?" he sat you up next to him, keeping a safe distance for now, seeing as if he touched you too much it made you uneasy.
You sat for a moment, not really sure if you were ready to explain it to him yet. You felt embarrassed at telling him you'd been touched by another man. You were scared to let him know that you'd lost some of your innocence. It wouldn't have been so bad if he was the one to do it, in fact, you'd always imagined it would be him, but it wasn't, and you had to tell him that.
"My keeper touched me," you let out, staring ahead at the wall across from you. You didn't want to see the look in his eyes when he heard it. You were wise to do so; his face fell almost instantly and the anger from earlier had returned to him. He wished he'd killed Argos when he had the chance, and not let Rex have his outlet for revenge.
It wasn't the Jedi way, his own voice echoed in his head, reminding him why he made that choice. But neither is falling in love....
"Did he-?" he didn't even get out the full question before you cut him off, because in all honestly, you really just didn't want to hear him ask you that.
"No, I stopped him before it went too far."
He put a hand on your shoulder to gently caress it, and you flinched, leaning away from his touch, before you could even realize what you were doing.
"Sorry," you said with a dull tone, but he was the one who was sorry. Were you now sensitive to his touch? Anyone's touch? Those bruises you wore weren't for nothing, the keeper must have forced himself on you.
"Don't be... Is there anything I can do?" He asked, hoping that maybe you'd at least spare him a glance. He hated that he was unable to assist you, but he would still offer any services he may provide for you.
"Yes, actually," you scooted closer to him, turning in his direction and peering up at him through long lashes. You reached for his hand, and he opened his palm to you. You hesitantly lifted it up and placed it on your shoulder where he had tried to lay it before.
You made a physical movement of discomfort when his skin met yours, but you closed your eyes and breathed deeply, just trying to revel in how it felt to be near him again, with his hands on you. It was so much different than how anyone else felt, because it was gentle and warm, and it felt like home. It was familiar, and it was helping you to adjust.
"Are you sure this is alright, little one?" he sounded unsure, but you shook your head, keeping still with your hand atop his, holding it to the bare skin of your shoulder to help with your nerves.
"I need to get used to it again."
You were breaking his heart right now. Had they messed you up so badly that you needed to let yourself adjust to him giving you the simplest gesture? He was horribly angry on the inside of his mind, fuming at the person responsible for this. He was dead now, and couldn't hurt you anymore, but for what he had done? Obi-Wan would rather see him face a life sentence, in a prison where he would be treated as less than garbage, because that's all he was. Garbage that hurt his beautiful, precious little one.
"I'm sorry that I wasn't there," he apologized, but you had to stop him before he could continue. If you knew him, and you did, he was about to blame himself for this, and you wouldn't allow it.
"No," you opened your eyes and looked at him sternly. "You won't always be there to protect me. I need to learn how to make better decisions and protect myself. This was not your fault, you had a mission, and I had mine. You succeeded at yours, and I failed. If anything, you should be reprimanding me."
He held a hand to the side of your face, stopping you before you could continue this nonsense.
"As your Master, I took an oath to protect my padawan, with my own life if it should come down to it. I haven't been doing a very good job at it lately. You did not fail anything, and what happened to you was horrible," he had tears in his eyes, ones that he would let fall freely to show his emotion over what he spoke. "I promise you; no one will ever lay a hand on you like that again."
You knew he meant it, and in the moment of sincerity, you had no fears anymore all of a sudden.
You reached a hand up and wiped the tears off of his cheeks. His cloak had fallen off of your body, but you couldn't seem to care right now. You were lost in the oceans of his lovely eyes, the crashing waves within them that soothed you to no end. You stayed that way for a long time, just being comforted in his presence, his hand on your face, and yours caressing the sides of his.
Anakin and Ahsoka were standing not too far away, witnessing the scene that unfolded before them. Ahsoka sighed, not wanting to give up your secret to her Master, who she thought was clueless.... until he started talking.
"Just kiss her, damnit," he muttered under his breath, but with her attuned hearing, she picked it up right away and gasped, turning to face Anakin.
"You know?" Ahsoka narrowed her gaze and crossed her arms, almost surprised that he had found out. Did you tell him recently and forget to let her know? That was unlikely.
"Of course, I know, I didn't know you did," he mimicked her position, and scanned her features for any answers, but she was only looming with her own questions.
"I found out by accident. She was talking to Rex and let it out into her signature, she didn't know I was there at the time..."
Anakin's eyes widened at her confession. "Wait, what?"
"She pulled me into the weapons chamber on the ship and told me not to tell anyone," clearly, that didn't last. She was spilling her guts to Anakin even though he hadn't even asked her directly. He smiled brilliantly and a smirk spread on his face.
He was perhaps the only person in the galaxy with both sides of information now, and though it made his head grow bigger than it already was, he decided it was for the best to have one other person in the galaxy know what he did.
"Ahsoka, listen to me, this is very important..." he trailed off, and she held onto his every word.

"That I'm on my fucking knees for you, Y/N."
Tumblr media
Mum?!
"Wonwoo!" The woman ran towards the CEO, her arms open wide and a big smile decorating her already beautiful face.
Mum???
Wonwoo took a few steps forward to welcome her with a hug, the shocking impression still on his face while your feet seemed to have rooted themselves into the floor. You eyed their interaction from your position, your mind somewhere else but in the room, but your ears caught enough of their conversation to earn your attention.
"Jesus, have you been working out even more?" Jeon Chaewon released her son from her embrace, holding onto his forearms tightly, "I told you to stop that and start taking care of yourself like a normal person," and hit his arm gently. "How dare you not contact me, by the way? You bought a new company together with Mingyu, I have to find out you're in a relationship through your father, out of all people, then you're getting sued and you don't even call me-" hold on, what did she just say?
The CEO interrupted her questioning, taking her hands off him and embracing them into his, "Mum, calm down. What are you even doing here?"
She chuckled, "Is that how you greet your mother after a year of not seeing her?" And shook her head, "Unbelievable..."
"Mum-"
She stopped him with a smile and another slap, "No, 'mum'. I know it's very unexpected, especially now with everything going on, but still..." Neither one of them knew how to continue the conversation, and you weren't about to interrupt their little reunion. The scene was just as overwhelming for you as it seemed to have been for Wonwoo.
Unsure of how to go about the situation next, you decided to slowly and quietly make your way into your own office, giving the pair the privacy they deserved.
Just as you turned around, your ears perked up at the sound of the woman speaking again, "You've got a lot of explaining to do, young man."
The deep sigh that came from Wonwoo was unlike anything you had ever heard. Deep. And heavy. Something you knew from yourself only too well.
"I know..." his voice was quieter than before - and much softer. As soft as you had only ever heard it once before. "Let's go to my office." She nodded but didn't follow her son when he turned around,
"You're not coming?" You were about to open the door, but stopped mid-action when she continued, "Y/N?" You thought you would be sly with your disappearance.
"Hm?" You turned your head, immediately meeting Wonwoo's panicked gaze before ignoring it and giving his mother all your attention.
"Oh no, mum, I'm sure Miss Yoon's got work to do," he tried to reach for the woman's arm, who sneakily avoided his touch, only to hit him across the head, making Wonwoo flinch.
"How dare you talk to her like that. You don't address your girlfriend by her last name, even with other people around," she scolded him, immediately catching you off-guard,
"Wh-"
"Right, I'm sorry," he quickly apologized, sending you a quick glance, raising his eyebrows for the shortest second possible. You got the sign but had to hold back a deep sigh. Where was he going with this?! What was he trying to do?
You wanted to interfere, but as soon as your eyes found the awaiting gaze of Jeon Chaewon, you just couldn't. Her eyes were sparkling like the brightest stars in a dark night sky. Like the fireworks you'd only get to see on New Year's Eve, right there in the form of her eyes. Only the eyes of a loving mother could hold that gaze. A sight you remembered very well and which you hadn't seen in quite some time.
"I-," you what? What were you going to say? How could you now say no to this woman in front of you...
Frantically, your eyes met Wonwoo's for a quick second before you put your best fake smile on, "I'll be with you in a minute, I- I just... have to check on something in my office," and covered your nervous lying.
It seemed to have satisfied Miss Jeon as she sent you another one of her bright grins before turning around, passing her son and entering his office before him as he was still standing in the same spot, his eyes fixed on you. He was about to say something, but you just shook your head and headed to your private room right away, not wanting to spend another second in this uncomfortable situation.
With quick steps you were in your office, immediately throwing your bag onto the couch in the corner. You ran your fingers through your hair, getting annoyed when they suddenly got stuck in the knots that had formed. Frantically, you pushed your hands down, flinching at the feeling of some strands getting caught under your rings and getting ripped out of your scalp. You sighed.
That was not how you had planned your day to start. That was not what you could have ever expected to happen. Wonwoo's mother just showing up suddenly? Her mistaking you for-... how did that come about...
Once again, you found yourself caught up in the memory of her voice. Her calm tone, her loving gaze, that spark in her eyes, only a mother could hold.
Your feet brought you deeper into your office, closer to the couches, where your bag had tumbled down onto the floor, the content spreading across the floor. You cursed under your breath, got rid of your jacket and threw it onto the cushioned seats before kneeling down to gather everything that had fallen out.
After getting everything back inside your bag, you were about to stand up when the sound of your phone ringing again made you reach for it. You fished it out of the bag and, just as expected, were faced with the caller id of your father. A deep sigh tumbled from your lips. How much longer could I ignore him, you wondered. His name has been popping up ever since that morning. He had found out about the lawsuit. Of course, he did. You knew it. There wasn't a way that he wouldn't have found out at some point, but you had hoped to be able to push it further away from you for as long as possible. There was no going back now. You pressed the green button to accept the call.
"How fucking dare you!" The alarming voice of your father rang through your ear, and the volume of it made you shove it away from your ear. "I trusted you with this company! You're getting fucking sued, and you didn't even dare to tell me?! Are you really that fucking dumb?! And how dare you ignore all of my calls?! I've been trying to reach you for hours, and don't come at me with some stupid fucking excuse, I'm so tired of that shit!"
"Dad-" you tried to stop him from continuing throwing these words at you, but you knew about his anger, and you knew there was no way you were able to stop him.
"NO! I really thought I raised you better than that!" You closed your eyes and let the phone rest on the couch, your knees still the only support on the cold floor. His voice was loud enough, you didn't have to put him on speaker. "At first you embarrass me with that sudden office romance you've got going on with Wonwoo, and now you won't even tell me about a fucking lawsuit?! What kind of daughter are you?! This is not only embarrassing but even humiliating to me! What do you think this makes me look like, huh?! Have you thought about that?! I bet you haven't!"
"Dad, please-" your voice was too quiet for him to even hear.
"I don't know what the fuck is going on in that head of yours, but you better fix it, or I'm going to fix that position you're in. How dare you even believe you deserve that spot as COO. Jesus Christ...," he took a deep breath before continuing, "You fucked up, Y/N. You fucked up bad, I hope you know that. And I hope you know how-" The call suddenly ended. With your eyes still closed, you enjoyed the sudden moment of silence. You expected that reaction from him. You expected every harsh word that fell from his lips. But hearing them from the man you had to call your father... that hurt. Denying it wasn't helping. As much as you would've loved to pretend his words didn't hit you, you couldn't.
"Don't listen to him." The familiar deep voice spoke up from behind you, making you open your eyes. You stared at the bookshelf in front of you, only seeing the silhouette of the CEO getting closer from the corner of your eye. "He's mad and probably doesn't even know what he's saying." His comment made you let out a chuckle. A chuckle filled with hurt and pain. So much pain.
You lowered your head, "He knows exactly what he's saying." It was only then that you felt the tightness of your throat. It made you gulp.
"Y/N-" his soft tone was trying to comfort you, but you pushed it away.
"What do you need?" You changed the subject, still not facing him.
Wonwoo was silent. He took a few more steps closer to you, stopping in front of you and kneeling down. "My mother was worried because you said you'd be with us in a minute, and it's been a bit longer than that. She made me come check on you."
You quickly forced the corners of your lips to lift before running your hands through your hair to push it out of your face and lifted your head. That's when you found the man's worried eyes glued on you, expecting you to say something.
"Right," you nodded, "Sorry." You were about to push yourself back to stand up, but Wonwoo's hands on your wrists stopped you, your eyes immediately looking down at his touch, before going up again.
"Y/N-"
"I'm okay." You were quick to interrupt him, answering the question he didn't even ask. "It's okay. I'm good."
For a second too long, his gaze interlocked with yours. He reached out with his hand, his palm stopping at your cheek to press against it gently as his thumb wiped away the tear that had made its way from your eye. A touch you would have never let happen weeks ago. Not even in your head, would you have let Wonwoo touch you that softly. But right then, your body almost betrayed you as you felt the need to lean into the warmth of his palm.
You lowered your head in shame, not realising you had started crying, making him take his hand back.
Wonwoo gulped, "I'm sorry."
You raised your head in confusion at his statement, "What are you sorry for?"
He cleared his throat, "For not thinking about the consequences of not telling your father even though you wanted to tell him. I didn't think he'd react like that." His words were filled with honesty. His voice sounded like pure regret. Even in his eyes, you could see the sincerity behind everything he had said.
A sad smile formed on your lips as you slowly shook your head, "He would've reacted like this either way..." your voice getting shakier and shakier with each word, "He... he's already disappointed in me...for multiple reasons... one more won't hurt, right?" The theoretical question brought even more tears to your eyes as you locked with his gaze again. You pressed your lips together tightly, hoping to suppress them from shaking as the tears were dreading to spill. The whimper sat in the back of your throat just waiting to come out. Just like you had done many times before, you let your head fall back, trying to blink the tears back into your body before standing up, making Wonwoo do the same just a second later. He kept a concerned facial expression on you while you shook your head and tried to make yourself appear normal by fixing your hair and outfit.
"You don't have to-"
"I said, I'm okay," maybe by repeating them, you could convince yourself that you might actually were. When, in fact, you weren't.
"I wasn't about to ask you that," the CEO let you know, lowering his body down to pick up your bag and placing it on the couch, next to where your phone- where was it? It had been there only a few minutes ago.
You nodded and shifted your gaze down to your shoes, eyeing his feet that were coming closer to you, stopping only a few centimetres in front of you.
"I just wanted to tell you that you don't have to pretend that his words didn't just affect you."
You shrugged, "They didn't," and crossed your arms before looking up again after you didn't get an answer back from him. But as soon as you faced him again, he only glanced at you with raised eyebrows and his hands hidden away in his pockets.
For a few seconds, there was nothing but silence. Nothing but the two of you, staring into each other's eyes, both knowing what you had just said was far from the truth, and both waiting for the other one to continue this conversation.
"So?" You started again, "For how much longer do you want to keep your mother alone?"
He breathed in some air through his teeth and made his way to your left, making you turn towards him, your back now facing the window wall behind you. "For as long as it takes you to admit that you're not okay," he eyed you, switching his gaze to something behind you for a second, "Besides, she's watching us anyways."
"What?!" Your eyes widened as you turned around to find the smiling woman's gaze longing at the two of you. "Oh, god," your head snapped back, and your hands immediately flew up to brush over your cheeks, hoping to wipe away any access trails the tears had left. "Okay, okay," you spoke mostly to yourself while looking around the room, trying to locate your phone. You patted down the side of your pants, thinking that you may have put it into your pockets without realising. But you didn't. You decided to ignore it and focused back on the man in the room,
"What do I do?" But he just looked at you confused and surprised.
"What do you mean?"
"With your mother," you nudged your head slightly towards her direction, "W-Who does she think I am? What does she think... we are?"
Wonwoo nodded at the sudden realisation of your question and leaned back against your desk, his arms crossed in front of his chest, "She thinks we're dating."
"But why?" You sent him a confused glance, "She... she mentioned something about her ex-husband..." and trailed off.
The CEO sighed, "My father told her." You continued looking at him with the same facial expression, making him continue with a smirk, "You remember the dinner? We're great actors." And then the last puzzle pieces snapped together.
"And he told his ex-wife about that...?" Your eyebrows scrunched as you let the scenario run through your head. What an interesting conversation to have with someone.
Wonwoo shrugged, "I'm surprised as well, trust me. The fact that he even dared to call her because of some bullshit like that. He knows he shouldn't, but that man doesn't care."
"He shouldn't what?" You wondered, but he brushed it off,
"Doesn't matter," and pushed himself off the desk, standing back steadily on both of his feet, "So?"
"Hm?" You hummed, wondering what he meant.
Suddenly a warm smile appeared on his face. A smile that caught all of your attention. It was kind. Welcoming. It felt comforting. Somewhat familiar.
"Are you okay?"
You caught yourself being caught off guard as your eyes lingered a little too long on his lips, making you shake your head and find his eyes quickly. A forced smile made its way to your mouth and your quiet voice filled the room, "As okay as I could be at this moment, I think."
The young CEO pressed his lips together and nodded, even if it was hesitantly, "I can accept that as an honest answer."
"You have to," you shot out before thinking well enough about what was gonna come out of your mouth. What even was that supposed to mean?
Wonwoo grinned, taking a step closer to almost tower over you, "Oh, do I?" The close proximity of your bodies let your heartbeat quicken right away. Just like it did in the elevator when you went to meet him. Just like in front of the courtroom when he tried to comfort you. The same way as when he had put his hand on your shoulder for the first time. Or his hand on your lower back before he pulled you in closer as he swept you across the ballroom floor-
"Y/N?" His voice made you snap back into the present as you found his longing gaze on you.
"What?"
He chuckled at your reaction but kept his eyes closely on yours, the grin tickling his lips.
"Are you sure you're okay?"
"Yeah," you answered quickly, shaking your head maybe a little too fast, but you pushed that thought aside and were quick to turn around, walking towards the glass door. You opened it and motioned for him to walk out first. Wonwoo approached you with a smile before raising his arm to get a hold of the door above your head, holding it open and nudging for you to walk out first. You sent him a quick look that he just knew exactly what it meant. Still, you followed his order and stepped out, but waited for him to close the door, so the two of you would walk up to his mother side by side.
The walk to his office was no longer than 15 seconds (if you walked slower than you usually would), but those few seconds felt like an eternity at that very moment. Having Wonwoo next to you was the only thing that kept you from turning around and leaving the building - your body assured you of that.
He took a few bigger steps to be ahead of you, opened the door to his office and ushered you inside, where his mother had already been waiting for you, now sitting on one of the couches in the corner. You opened your mouth to excuse yourself for being late, but a familiar ringtone caught your attention. The sound of your phone ringing made you turn around to see where it was coming from. You came to sight with Wonwoo fishing it out of the inside pocket of his suit jacket, making you glance at him in confusion, but he didn't even raise his head to look at you. Only after he took a look at your screen, he dared to look up, meeting your eyes. You were about to walk up to him, raising your hand to get a hold of the phone, but he stopped you,
"Sorry, I'll be right back," and sent a nod to his mother, "I gotta take this call," before leaving the room again. Your eyes followed him until he had rounded the corner, making sure he was no longer in sight.
And there you were. Alone in a room with the mother of your CEO, or boyfriend as she thought.
"Always so busy..." her soft voice filled your ears, "I told him to take it easy, but he won't ever listen to me." You turned around to give her a smile, followed by a chuckle. "Oh well," she returned it, "Maybe you'll have better luck with that."
"I'll try," you lied to her. Lied well. You had no other choice. That woman in front of you was ecstatic about the apparent idea that her son was in a committed relationship - and you weren't about to ruin that feeling of joy.
You had your eyes focused on the corner Wonwoo had just disappeared behind, not noticing the older woman getting closer to you. Only when her hand reached for yours was when you snapped back into the present situation you were stuck in.
"So please, Y/N," she made you follow her towards the two couches in the corner before she dragged you down to sit down right next to her, "I would love to know a bit more about you. I'm sure you must be an interesting individual if you have caught my son's eye."
You chuckled nervously, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear, "Oh, I wouldn't be too sure about that, to be honest," your gaze switching to the side in hopes of finding the man you were looking for.
"But I'm sure, love," she assured you with a pat on your knee, "I mean... you are the first girlfriend he ever introduced to me, so that must mean something, you know? I know, I did get here by myself, but I was expecting him to deny everything his father told me or maybe even tell me that he just wanted to annoy him by pretending to be in a relationship," her voice drifted into a sadder tone before she looked up again, meeting your eyes with one of the brightest smiles you have ever seen, "but I cannot explain to you how happy I am that that's not the case," she engulfed her hand in yours, giving it a tight squeeze, "So, tell me a little bit about yourself."
Oh no. Oh no no. This was bad. So bad. She was expecting this to be fake. Wonwoo could've just simply told her that she was right with her suspicion. But he didn't... that idiot didn't do it. And now you have to put on the best act you possibly could, to convince her of your and her son's happiness. You had to push all the nerves that had started to form in your stomach further down, suppressing them as well as possible and putting the fake smile on that had been carrying you through your entire career.
"Okay," you smiled at her, "Well... I... ehm...," you gulped. Fuck... this was going to be harder than you thought. Concentrate.
You wanted to meet her gaze, but as soon as that happened, you were scared that she would be able to see right through your lies, so you decided to let your eyes travel around the room, holding still on her only for a few seconds.
"I've been working here for quite a while... way before Wonwoo and Mingyu took over. And... ehm," you cleared your throat, "But I've gotten the position as COO once they became CEOs."
"Oh, what were you before that?" She seemed truly interested in what you were telling her, somehow bringing you ease and making facing her a lot easier.
"President. My father made me the President," you answered her with a tight smile on your lips.
She looked enraged once the words had reached her ears, "Only president?!" The woman didn't shout, but it was clear how she felt about what you had told her. She scuffed, "Oh well, doesn't surprise me, thinking about what I've heard about your father." Once she had finished, it seemed like she realised what she had said as her facial expression changed in an instant, "Oh god, I'm so sorry," she covered her mouth with her hand, "I didn't mean to talk badly about your father, I hope you don't-"
"Don't worry, don't worry," you chuckled, instinctively reaching for her arm to hold, "I'm not on good terms with him anyways." For some reason, it felt okay to let her know that.
A relieved sigh left her lips, "Thank god not," she laughed, "I got so worried, I'm so sorry," she grabbed your hands once again, making you look her in the eyes, "I'm truly sorry that you had to work for him. Like that. Even if just half of the things I've heard are true... I don't want to imagine what it must've been like with him. I know how difficult men like that can be..."
You shrugged, "I lived." But it was so much more than that. You could've said so many more words, but you chose not to.
"I did too," Chaewon sent you a sad smile, "But that doesn't mean that it was right, because it most certainly wasn't. I had to learn that the hard way..." as she went quiet for a second, you didn't interrupt the silence, feeling like there was more to come from her. But before she could continue, if she had wanted to, the two of you were interrupted by Wonwoo, who had come back in through the door, closing it on his way in.
The woman turned around, coming face to face with her son, her hands still around yours, "How did it go?"
"Huh?" The CEO seemed to have been caught off guard, breaking the gaze the two of you had been holding ever since he had walked in.
His mother grinned, nodding towards his hands that had a tight grip on your phone, "Your phone call. How did it go? Anything interesting?"
He made his way over to you, nodding in understanding, "Oh," he sat down on the other couch to your left, "No, not that interesting. Just... casualties." Your eyes never left his form. They continued following him all the way until he was sitting next to you, but even then you made sure to keep them on him. He noticed your wondering look and decided to interlock his gaze with yours again. "But I managed to clear everything. Nothing to worry about anymore." You knew he was answering his mother's question, but with his eyes so fixed on yours, you could feel the words not being directed towards her. Because there was nothing she had to worry about, there was nothing you had to worry about anymore.
"But I want to talk to you later, Y/N," he announced, catching you off guard at the mention of your name.
"Me?" You wondered, almost wanting to slap your face when you noticed how weird it sounded.
Wonwoo placed your phone on the coffee table right in front of you, never looking away from you, "Yeah. You." You nodded, showing him you understood what he had said. Even though you didn't. The moment felt like an out-of-body experience. Something just felt... off. Weird. You had never been in the same room as your boyfriend AND his mother. And now you were stuck with the man you had to pretend you were dating to your left and his overjoyed-by-the-news mother to your right. No wonder this didn't feel real. Even saying it in your head didn't sound right.
"Anyways," Mrs Jeon's clap echoed through the room, making Wonwoo's eyes change to her direction, "As I mentioned earlier, I want to get to know Y/N a little bit better," her hand found yours again, "And I thought that we could maybe do that over dinner. Tonight?"
Your eyebrows shot up as you looked at the CEO, who kept the calmest possible demeanour, "Mum-"
"Only if you're not busy, of course," she quickly added, falling into another one of her rants, that she seemed to have quite often, "I know, things right now might be a bit stressful, but you never know, maybe a quiet and comfortable nice dinner might just be the thing to help you out. I'm sorry if this comes off too strong, but I haven't seen you in over a year, and suddenly I'm getting thrown over with so many news, I hoped you would unders-"
"We'd love to."
You turned to the side to face her, your free hand coming up to wrap around hers. You hoped the smile on your face would ease her. "Right, Wonwoo?" with the same facial expression, you directed your question to the CEO on the other couch. In addition, you sent him a warning glance, raising your eyebrows just enough for him to see and for his mother to not notice.
He quickly followed with a deep breath and a nod, "Of course. We have time, don't worry, mum."
A heavy and happy sigh left Chaewon's lips as she freed your hands from her grasp, "Oh, I'm glad," you could see her eyes shining again, "That makes me so happy. Alright then, I have a table reserved at 7, is that okay? If it's too early, we can-"
"It's perfect," you interrupted her, looking up at her as she had stood up, her bag in her hands again, "We'll be there."
"Great!" She clutched tighter onto the handle, "Wonwoo, I'll send you the address." He nodded in agreement before she continued, "And for now, I'll get going and leave you to your important business stuff," walking closer towards the door with a chuckle. The young CEO was quick to stand up and beat his mother to the door with his big steps, opening it before she could get a hold of the door handle. You stood up as well but decided to stay in your spot, following her with your gaze as she got closer and closer to the exit.
"It was very nice to meet you Y/N, I can't wait for tonight," she sent you a kind grin. Even with the extra wrinkles that appeared when she smiled, she somehow managed to look even younger. That's what living happily must do to you.
"Likewise, thank you Mrs- Chaewon," you corrected yourself, hoping she didn't catch your slip up, but her chuckle told you otherwise, "See you later," and waved her off.
The woman gave her son a quick hug, whispered something you sadly didn't catch into his ear, making him roll his eyes, and after another round of goodbyes, she left the office. Once she was out of the room, Wonwoo and you stayed still in the same spot. Your gazes travelled along with his mother, waiting for her to round the corner until she was out of sight. As soon as that happened, you let yourself fall onto the sofa with a big sigh tumbling from your lips. Before you could let your head fall back, you crouched forward, resting your elbows on your knees and holding onto your head with your hands.
"Jesus," you breathed out, "That was even more stressful than I imagined."
"Really?" Wonwoo wondered as he approached your form, filling the seat to your right that his mother had left empty. "You seemed awfully calm. Kinda worried a bit."
"Did I?" You straightened your back immediately, "Calm? Really?" His nod assured you, "Wow... I mean... I'm glad, because I feel like my heart," your hand flew up to touch your chest, "Is about to jump out." It was then that you realised just how fast it was beating and probably had been beating the entire time already.
"No, don't worry, you were doing better than expected," he admitted, leaning back to get comfortable on the couch. As you turned your body to face him better, your knee touched his. Both of you noticed it. Neither of you moved to change it.
You scrunched your eyebrows, "What do you mean 'better than expected'? What did you think I was gonna do?" The question was tickling your tongue, and nothing was holding you back from asking him.
Wonwoo chuckled, "Why did you agree to that dinner so quickly? I thought you didn't want to play along."
"I never said that," you snapped back without hesitation. Instead of answering verbally, the young CEO raised an eyebrow, making you scoff, "What? I was just surprised. I never said that I wouldn't play along."
"Alright," he simply nodded and thought the subject was done, but you had some more to say.
"And did you really think I would just break your mother's heart like that? Did you see the way her eyes lit up when she talked about us?"
A smirk slowly but surely made its way to Wonwoo's lips. He bit down on his bottom lip before opening his mouth, "Us? What us?"
"The us she thinks we are. The us that makes her eyes sparkle and her lips turn into such a beautiful smile. The most beautiful one a mother could have." You found yourself reminiscing in the memory of sitting next to her, feeling the comfort of her presence hugging you.
For a second, the CEO was quiet before he sat up straighter, "So basically you did it because you wanted to see her happy?"
"I guess so. I mean... what other reason would I have had to keep up this lie?" You answered him honestly, your mind somewhere else as could be heard by your voice.
Wonwoo shrugged, "I don't know, was just a question," and sighed. "So," he suddenly changed the subject and got up from his seating position, "Now that you've set up a date for us tonight-"
"Don't say it like that," you warned him, "That makes it sound weird." It made it sound real.
He chuckled, "What else should I call it?"
"I don't know," you mumbled, "Meet-up with your mother?"
"Alright," he nodded, "Now that you've set up a meet-up with my mum at 7pm, which is by the way during our work time, I'd love to hear how you expect us to be there and here at the same time?"
You stood up as well, taking a few steps to pass the coffee table, taking your phone with you, "We can just leave a little earlier. The guys will be fine without you and, just in case anything happens, Mingyu is still here."
Wonwoo looked at you in wonder, "You're just gonna ditch work?" Then scoffed, "I don't think your boss is gonna like that, you know?"
You smirked, "Well, tough luck then. I'm the COO and I'm saying that he and I are gonna get off work earlier so we can make his mother happy."
"Interesting," he raised his eyebrows while an amused grin played on his lips, "What a confident COO we have here." He reached into his pocket and got out his own phone before rounding his table, taking a seat on the big leather chair behind the desk, "Then I'm gonna call Hongseok and tell him he doesn't have to pick you up this evening."
"And he doesn't have to pick me up tomorrow morning either, tell him that too," you remembered that morning when you planned to get to work by subway, but were surprised by the CEO's driver waiting for you in front of your apartment complex. He assured you that he was here on request of Jeon Wonwoo and that he was not allowed to leave until you got into the car. "He didn't have to do it today either... Do you know how weird it is to just get picked up randomly?"
"He only came because I couldn't make it today, I'm sorry. I'll be there tomorrow again," he tried to assure you, but you quickly shut him down,
"No, that's not what I meant," your comment caught his attention and made him look up from the screen, "I also told you that I don't want anyone picking me up. I'm fine with using the public transport until I get a new car. I don't need a driver AND," you added right away as you saw him already opening his mouth, ready to say something, "I also don't need you to pick me up."
Wonwoo leaned back in his chair, a heavy sigh falling from his lips, "I told you I don't mind."
"And I told you I don't want it."
"What if I don't want you to use public transport. Imagine someone catching the COO of one of Seoul's biggest businesses taking the bus to work," another one of those eyebrow raises, gosh...
You shrugged and crossed your arms as you stood right in front of his desk, "Well... then they'll think I'm doing something good for the environment. We should do more about that anyways."
But Wonwoo only shook his head, "No. My COO isn't taking any kind of public transport. Not happening."
You scoffed at the use of his words, "Your COO?!"
"Yeah, my COO. Who else do you think you're working for?" He must've known he was testing your temper. He must've. There wasn't another reason you could've thought of as to why he would throw out a comment like that.
You squinted your eyes at him, the fists your hands had formed tightening as you had to bite your tongue to hold back the statement playing on the tip of your tongue. You had two options there. Either, you don't hold back and another argument will break out because both of your personalities are too big for their own good. OR, you were going to be the bigger person, hold back all the things you would regret and get out of this situation quietly and just move on with the day. There was just one problem. And that was that the second option was never really there, thanks to your temper.
"Are you forgetting who you're talking to?" You snapped at the man, walking up to stop right in front of his desk. Wonwoo let go of his phone and set it down on the top of the table. He directed his gaze to you, looking up from his seated position, the corners of his lips curling slightly. He looked to the side with a chuckle, huffing out a little amount of air - he seemed gladly amused by your reaction as if it was right where he wanted to get you.
With a confident grin, he leaned back in his chair, his eyes gliding over your entire form. "I know exactly who I'm talking to, don't you worry."
"Then you should know when to shut your mouth," you kept an unamused facial expression, hoping he would get the message, but that fucking smirk on his lips was just a little too distracting, even for you to truly be annoyed.
"Why should I if I get to see you like this?" His question confused you. Was he getting that much of a thrill out of making you annoyed at him? Was he liking it that much? What was he trying to do...
You scrunched your eyebrows, "You're really enjoying this, aren't you?"
Instead of answering, he widened his grin, keeping his mouth shut, but his glance interlocked with yours.
Something in the way he looked at you wanted you to smile like an idiot too, but you controlled it by letting out a salty chuckle, raising your hands in defence,
"I'm not giving into that. I'm not gonna be annoyed anymore."
"Sure you won't," Wonwoo nodded amusingly, blinking at you with that stupid smirk still plastered on his face.
Just when you were about to open your mouth, another snarky remark tickling your tongue, your phone in the pocket of your pants rang, catching your attention as you fished it out. A look at the screen made you let out a big huff of air, closing your eyes to contain your emotions.
The young CEO noticed your reaction, "Is it your dad?"
You nodded, "Obviously," and let your finger hover just a few millimetres over the 'accept' button, even though you knew you'd regret answering his call.
"Don't."
The deep voice made you look up, finding the dark eyes of the man in front of you immediately. He dropped his eyes down to the hand that was holding onto the phone before coming up again, staring into yours.
"Don't answer it."
Before this... he had your phone... and accepted it when it rang...
"Why?" You wondered, suddenly feeling the smallest amount of anxiety coming up in your body, "What did you do?" You followed his silhouette as he stood up, walked passed the desk and stopped in front of you. On his way, you had turned around, your ass now right at the edge of the table while he stood tall opposite of you.
He shook his head, "I didn't do anything. Just don't answer it." When you noticed him reaching forward, attempting to take the device out of your hold, you snatched your hand back, further away from him. He sighed in annoyance, but he was in no position to be the one irrigated by this situation.
"And who are you to tell me whose calls not to answer," your sharp tongue always acted before your brain could. Great character trait.
"You're boss, so give me the fucking phone," he tried to get a grasp of your phone once again, but you leaned back, extending your arm as far as possible. Another aggravated sigh, "Y/N, I swear to God..."
"You swear to God, what?" You raised your brows. Two can play that game. Both of you knew that, you've done it before. You've had moments like these before. This already felt familiar. If he could get a kick out of infuriating you, you could do the same to him.
Wonwoo lifted his head to meet your gaze. He didn't say anything. Just looked at you. Your phone was no longer ringing. There were no sounds anymore to fill the room and yet, it didn't feel quiet. You weren't sure where to look but decided to do just like him and just kept your eyes on him. Wonwoo had gotten dangerously close when he tried to reach for the phone the second time, and he hadn't backed away yet. One small lean in and your noses would've touched.
The moment that you shared in silence didn't feel long enough when he broke it with a deep sigh. Not an annoyed one. Just deep. You wondered why, but got your answer with his next action. His hands suddenly found your hips and he lifted you to sit on the desk. A gasp fell from your lips as your hands had reached for his arms for stability. His movement caught you off-guard. He surprised you once again.
Right after he had put you down, he let his hands rest on each side of you, leaning forward to lean in, getting closer to you for just the littlest amount.
"You really like playing smart, don't you?" His breath tickled your lips.
"I like getting proper answers, mister I-always-talk-in-some-kind-of-code," you sassied back, getting a chuckle out of him.
He shook his head softly, "Give me the phone Y/N. Please."
You only then noticed that your hands were still on his arms when you let go to hand him the device, this time not questioning his actions. He stood up straight, took it from your grasp and turned it around to ask you to unlock it.
"4596," you simply answered him, not even looking down at the phone as you told him your code.
Wonwoo put it in and started tapping on the screen. You noticed he had started texting someone and could already guess who it was.
"I thought I made it clear," he mumbled, making it hard for you to understand him, but you caught it. It confused you, but you decided not to question him, mesmerized by the man standing in front of you.
When he put it back down on the table next to you, your eyes followed his hand. You noticed the ring on his pinky and wondered how you had never caught that before.
"What did you do?"
"Something that will hopefully keep him from calling you from now on," he let you know, his hands back on each side of you, but he wasn't leaning in as much as before.
You took a deep breath, "He's my father, I can't just ignore him-"
"He was disrespecting you. He talked to you in a way no father should ever talk to their daughter, and you still march to his tune. Hold yourself up higher. You're better than that."
The way he thought he knew you better than you did yourself infuriated you. "I'm not marching to his fucking tune. I just don't want to create useless arguments between us. I want to clear things up and move on. But with this way and just ignoring his calls, he's only gonna get angrier and-"
"And what?" He picked at your statement, "Who cares if he's angry? He's been angry before, he'll be angry in the future. He'll get over this because he's gonna find something or even someone else to shout at."
You shook your head, "You don't know him like I do."
"That's true," Wonwoo nodded, "I don't. And honestly... I don't want to. Because God knows what I'll do if I ever catch him talking to you like that when I'm in the same room as him." That caught you off guard.
He let that statement roll off his tongue as if it was the most casual thing to say. His eyes were fixed on yours. Still. And he didn't even blink when he said it. He also didn't look away afterwards. He continued staring right into your soul, making you gulp. You had to break the eye contact, afraid of what could happen if you didn't.
"God," you sighed, "Why do you care so much about that..." your voice laced with something similar to irritation, but then again not really... because you weren't, you could never be. You were curious. You were wondering. He seemed so invested in something that had nothing to do with him and everything to do with you.
Instead of answering, Wonwoo took a few steps back and made his way back behind his desk. You hated whenever he did that as it wasn't the first time.
"Wonwoo-"
"Just don't answer his calls, alright?" He interrupted you. You turned around to look at him again as he sat himself down in his chair, "You are under no obligation to listen to whatever that man has to say."
"And what if he suddenly shows up here? What the hell am I supposed to say then?!" It wasn't an impossible scene to happen. What your father wanted, he got - even if it was an argument with you. Even if it meant just showing up to shout at you. He would do that, you were convinced.
Wonwoo's attention was fixed on the computer when he answered, "I'm your boss, and I don't want my COO to be distracted by private calls during her work day."
You didn't correct him.
-
Shortly before the clock on your wall hit 7pm, there was a knock on the open glass door to your office. You looked away from your computer screen, and your eyes found the form of the CEO standing in the doorframe.
"You ready?" He asked you. You took a quick look at the clock in the corner of the screen and answered him with a smile and a nod,
"Yep." After closing the tabs you didn't need anymore, you shut down the PC and got up. While you scanned the desk for anything important you may leave behind, you noticed some files that were still spread out, making the space look messier than you wanted to, so you decided to collect them and put them into folders on the shelves next to you. As soon as you turned back around, Wonwoo had gotten closer to your desk, waiting patiently with your bag in one hand and your jacket in the other. You quickly made your way over to him, thanking him quietly for the gesture and took your belongings to yourself, carrying the bag over your shoulder and holding onto the jacket, knowing you wouldn't need it since you'd be in a car.
The two of you exited your office and made your way to the elevator, only making simple conversation.
"Did you tell Mingyu where you're going?" You wanted to know, remembering that you had mentioned him earlier in your conversation. Wonwoo nodded, at the same time the elevator had arrived, and he ushered you inside before entering as well.
"I told him we're meeting up with my mum," he simply answered you. Silence probably wouldn't have been awkward, or maybe it would have been... but you weren't about to test it, so you tried to keep the conversation up on your way down.
"What did he say?"
He turned to the side, raising one eyebrow at you, "About this? What was he supposed to say about it?"
You shrugged, "I don't know... kind of weird that I'm going out to eat with you and your mother... if I were him I'd be questioning it."
Wonwoo shook his head, a soft chuckle falling from his lips, that he hid by putting one finger on his lips, "No, he...," he straightened his back before continuing, "He was just mad that we didn't invite him."
"Has kind of become a casualty," you grinned, laughing to yourself in your head while your fingers tightened around the handle of your bag.
"What has?" Wonwoo questioned.
You turned your head, meeting his gaze, "You taking me to things instead of Mingyu... even though Mingyu would make more sense."
The CEO scrunched his eyebrows, "I mean... I don't know how believable Mingyu and I could fake being in a relationship." His comment made you chuckle and lower your head. Also true...
"I don't how believable we're gonna be if I'm being honest," your voice was laced with worry. Wonwoo caught that and immediately made you look at him, by moving his entire body to face you, leaning onto the wall behind him.
"We already convinced my dad. You have nothing to worry about anymore. It'll be easy," he tried to assure you, but it only helped so little.
"Easy...," you mumbled once the doors opened again, letting you into the garage where Wonwoo had parked his car.
Easy. This was going to be easy. 'It'll be easy', pff yeah, maybe for you... but it should also be for-
"Are you coming?" His familiar voice brought you back to the present as you snapped out of the mental conversation you had just had with yourself. Without answering, you followed him quickly, jogging a little to catch up with him.
Arrived at his car, Wonwoo made sure to go to the passenger side first, opening the door to let you step in. You stopped before getting in,
"I can open it myself, you know?" Turning your head ever so slightly, only then realising how close he was if you did that.
Your comment made him chuckle, "Yeah, I know. Come on," and nodded for you to get in. After making sure that you were sitting comfortably, he took his hand away from the upper doorframe where he had placed his hand as you had lowered your head to get in and closed the door to get to the driver's side of the car.
The short drive to the restaurant was spent quietly, listening to the sounds that the radio blessed you with. It was when you arrived at the restaurant, parking in front of it, when the nerves suddenly hit you. Wonwoo was about to step out, but you reached out to hold onto his forearm,
"Wait," you stopped him. His head snapped to you, glancing at you with worry filling his eyes. Before he could ask you what was going on, you continued your rant, "We should've thought about this better. W-we know nothing about each other. That's not what a couple does. Couples know each other inside and out. I don't even know what your favourite colour is, o-or... or your favourite food, or movie, or whatever. How the hell am I supposed to pretend to be a good girlfriend that your mother likes when I don't even know that stuff."
Suddenly you felt the warmth of his dry hand on top of yours as he moved it away from his arm to get a good hold of your hand, giving it a comforting squeeze. "Probably black, anything without fish, but I really like Pizza, and Me Before You," he grinned, "anything else?" You looked into his eyes, waiting for him to laugh at your reaction as you continued to stare at him with a scared facial expression being replaced by a surprised one. You didn't have time to answer as the doors of the car were opened, revealing staff members of the restaurant that were waiting to be able to park the car.
Wonwoo let go of your hand and exited the vehicle, leaving you in the car too hesitant to get out. With a soft whine, you got out as well, clutching onto your bag tightly, leaving the jacket on the seat, not thinking about bringing it along. The young CEO was already waiting for you, standing patiently on the side. He took a step closer, and as soon as he was right next to you, he opened his arm, offering you to interlock yours with his. Without wasting another second, you just as he asked without using his words. You had been in a similar position before. The way you were standing next to each other wasn't foreign to you.
Only a second later, you managed to feel just as comfortable as you did on the night of the event you had attended together. You also remembered that you had to be convincing, so interlacing your arms with each other but still standing enough far away from each other for another person to fit in between you, wasn't going to look very convincing. You took a step closer and let your other hand come up, holding onto his bicep. He didn't even budge. This felt natural. Maybe a little too natural. But you didn't mind. It felt nice with him next to you. Even walking up the stairs to the extremely fancy-looking restaurant didn't make you feel anxious. Not with him by your side.
At the entrance, the host for tonight greeted you with a smile. Wonwoo let him know about the reservation of his mother and their last name and you were let in, being brought to the table, where Jeon Chaewon was already waiting for you.
"Being on time was never one of your strong points, Wonwoo," she commented as she stood up, thanking the waiter.
He cleared his throat and freed your arm, making his way closer to her to hug her, "I'm sorry, mum, we couldn't leave the office earlier."
"I know, I was just kidding," she assured him with a chuckle, passing her son to walk up to you, her arms open wide, happy to greet you as well. "I'm so glad you managed to make time for this," she whispered into your ear before letting go and ushering you to take a seat at the table for four. You expected Wonwoo to sit down on the opposite side of the table but were surprised when he joined you on your side, taking the seat right next to you, while his mum sat down right in front of you.
"And," she started a conversation, "How was your work day?" You felt Wonwoo's eyes on you and could tell he had looked at you out of the corner of your eye, but you kept your head low, pretending to look at your nails, in hopes of him answering. You have nothing to be anxious about, you tried telling yourself. Even if you were to mess up, you were sure at this point that Wonwoo would manage to cover it up perfectly.
"And how was it for you, Y/N?" You looked up at the mention of your name, meeting the kind eyes of Chaewon as she smiled at you.
You nodded and managed to get a quick glance at Wonwoo, before looking back at her, "Good. All good. Nothing very interesting happened, to be honest."
You were thankful when the waiter arrived with the wine card, ready to take your order.
-
"So... have you been talking to your father?" Chaewon suddenly asked while the three of you were enjoying the third course of the night, the dessert. Wonwoo dropped the fork, making you direct your attention towards him. Your eyes immediately fell on the clenched fist on the table. He was clearly clenching it hard by the way his knuckles were slowly but surely turning white. Like a reflex, you put reached forward to place your hand on his and took it off the table. At first, you wanted to let your hands just hang in the air underneath the table, but out of comfort, you let them drop into your lap. Thanks to the smaller size of the table, you were sitting close enough without it looking awkward. Naturally, you let your thumb run across his knuckles, feeling his hand slowly getting looser.
He took a deep breath, "Why on earth would I be talking to him?"
"I don't know," his mother was quick to defend herself, "I was just surprised when he called me and randomly started telling me about you two. I was wondering how on earth he knew about that and thought that you maybe have told him."
"And why did you pick up the phone when he called, you know-" he started, but she interrupted him
"And you know how he reacts when I don't answer calls. I know you said to ignore them, but I can't do that to a man with a temper like his." Her words sounded familiar... very familiar. You scrunched your eyebrows but got distracted when you suddenly felt your hand getting engulfed in someone else's. Looking down, you found that Wonwoo had freed his hand of the tight fist he had formed, and replaced it with holding onto yours. But gently. Very gently. He wasn't squeezing it but keeping it tight enough to make sure you wouldn't let go. Now it was his turn to let his thumb travel across your fingers, brushing over them softly, almost sending a calm shover through your body as your eyes were fixed on your lap.
"But no," Wonwoo continued, "I'm not talking to him. And I won't," he looked over at you, catching you with your head still low, "He found out about us because Y/N's dad invited us to a dinner where he also brought him. Along with some other guests."
Chaewon nodded, "I see... so you've already met him, Y/N?" Directing the question at you. You lifted your head again, trying to block out the warmth of the other hand that was still holding onto yours.
"Yeah," you quickly answered her, "But... I didn't- I mean, we didn't... really talk to each other. I just saw him. From across the table."
She rolled her eyes and scoffed, "Of course. He can't even introduce himself to his son's girlfriend."
"Mum," Wonwoo suddenly mentioned her, his voice in the warning tone that you had already heard before.
By then you had realised that the topic of Jeon Jinyoung was something that you should avoid at all costs. It seemed to be a very touchy subject no one wanted to elaborate on. But that's what made it even more interesting to you... But you also knew that this wasn't the time nor space to find out more about the man Wonwoo called father.
"So," you changed the subject, catching both of the other people at the table off guard, "How long are you staying, Chaewon?"
Her eyes lit up at the question, and the corners of her mouth curled up. She put the cutlery down and her elbows on the table to place her chin into her hands, "Well, I was planning on only staying until tomorrow. I really wanted to meet you and catch up with Wonwoo, but I would love to stay a little longer. Maybe we could do something together." You didn't expect that to come out of her mouth. Before you could answer, Wonwoo bet you to it,
"Where are you staying?" His eyebrows were scrunched up as he eyes his mother.
"I rented a room in a hotel, it's only for a night, but I'm sure I can extend-"
"Why didn't you call me? You could've stayed at my place" He didn't even let her finish. You felt his hand clench around your fingers again, making you put your other hand on top of it, hoping to ease him just a little bit.
Chaewon sighed with a smile, "Because I didn't want to disturb you two. And it's only for a night anyways."
"Mum," Wonwoo shook his head, clearly annoyed at her answer, "We don't- you wouldn't disturb us, please. Cancel that room, you're staying with me."
"You have one bedroom, Wonwoo," she reminded him, using her strict mother voice.
He nodded, "Yeah, I'm gonna take the couch."
"You can't just decide that Wonwoo, what about Y/N, you didn't even ask her," this made you shake your head immediately.
"Oh, no, no," you were quick to stop whatever was going to come out of either one of their mouths next, "We- we...," you glanced over at your pretend-boyfriend, who just kept an amused facial expression. He was enjoying this. "We don't- we don't live together. You can stay with him, it's no worries. Don't worry," you finished your rant with a nervous chuckle, feeling a tight squeeze from his hand, making you want to slap it away, but at the same time, you enjoyed the warmth of it and decided to keep it that way.
"But still, Y/N," she started again, "If you wanted to stay the night together, I don't want to-"
"Mum," Wonwoo repeated again with the same strict voice, "Don't. Please, I'm asking you to cancel that room. Or I will."
Chaewon looked at her son for a few seconds, silence overcoming the table before she sighed, "Jesus...," she shook her head as she got out her phone, going after the CEO's ask, "I don't know how you can handle him, Y/N."
You laughed nervously, tucking a strand of her behind your ear, looking down once again, "It's okay," hoping she hadn't caught it since your voice came out quieter than you intended to, and you weren't sure if there was an appropriate answer to her comment. But somebody else had heard it and chuckled at your words.
-
After assuring you over and over again that he in fact wasn't too drunk to drive home, you were on your way to Wonwoo's car. Somehow, and the alcohol in your system had definitely a lot to do with it, you let yourself get talked into coming along to Wonwoo's apartment by Chaewon, who wanted to spend some more time with you and, more importantly, drink more wine with you. You knew it wasn't a good idea. You would regret something about that decision, you were sure of it. But you had to play along, as Wonwoo reminded you. It'll be easy.
Thankfully, Jeon Chaewon was, very unlike her son, a bright and bubbly person, who somehow always found a topic to talk about. She filled the car ride with questions and topics, keeping you entertained and your worries in the far back of your brain. Talking to her seemed to become easier and easier with each minute you spent together. Like the comfort of a good mother, she made you feel at ease. The anxiety from the beginning of the date was long gone when you had reached Wonwoo's apartment and went up. But something else replaced those nerves. The memories. The memories of THAT night. The night that had started so well and ended dramatically, leaving you in anger and sadness. And the bad started right here in his apartment. You tried to push the reminders of that night away and begged for them to not return for as long as you were there.
Right after you had entered the flat, Wonwoo informed his mother of the location of the wine and assured her to take whatever she wanted.
"Same goes for you too, of course," he turned his body towards you while he was looking down at his phone, sending a message to Hongseok to pick up Chaewon's bags from the hotel and bring them to his place.
You nodded hesitantly and didn't even bend down to get your shoes off, "This doesn't feel right," you commented quietly, hoping for the other woman to not overhear your conversation.
This made him lift his head and put the phone into the back pocket of his pants as he got rid of his suit jacket, "What doesn't?"
"This," you motioned around, "You don't find it weird that I'm here?" You couldn't hold it back anymore.
Wonwoo grinned, "Well, you've been here before, so..."
"Yeah, and we know how that ended," you snapped back, not realising how sharp it sounded by accident. He nodded understandingly,
"Do you want to go home? Hongseok can bring you once he's here?"
You shook your head quickly, "No, stop, I told you, I don't want him to bring me anywhere."
"You're not coming in? Don't you want another glass too?" Chaewon looked around the corner into the hallway, three glasses in one hand and a bottle of white wine in the other.
"No no, don't worry, I'm coming," you assured her, making her nod happily and disappear again. And once again, your mouth was quicker than your brain. You closed your eyes and let out an annoyed huff of breath. The sound of a deep chuckle made you open them again, coming to sight with a clearly amused Wonwoo.
"I can't say no to her. Why can't I say no to her?" It was more of a rhetorical question, but he still answered with a smile.
"It's impossible, I know." Suddenly, he kneeled down in front of you and before you could question his actions, you felt his fingers move against your ankle. "Hold onto me," he tapped his shoulders, and you did as you were told.
He opened the clasp of your shoes, letting you step out of them slowly while you steadied yourself with your hand on his shoulder. You looked down. Your eyes fell on how gentle he was freeing your feet from your shoes, how careful he was with the buckle he had to open. "If you start feeling uncomfortable, let me know, and I'll get you home, alright?"
You nodded softly and answered him with a whispered, "Yeah." After he got up again, he also reached for your bag, took it off you and brought it over to the dining table, placing it on top of it. Just like he did THAT night- no, stop. Stop thinking about that. Different times, different scenarios.
Chaewon was already waiting for you excitedly, gliding the glasses over the countertop, making it easier for you to reach them. You followed her into the kitchen and got a hold of one of the glasses, just like she did. The two of you waiter for Wonwoo to join you and clinked your glasses the second he got a hold of his.
-
Two wine bottles later, Chaewon had announced that she would be getting ready to go to bed, leaving Wonwoo and you alone on the couch in the living room. At this point, a blind person could have been able to tell how intoxicated you were. Your makeup was long gone, your hair had somehow gotten messed up, and you forgot at what point you thought it was a good idea to open the first two buttons of your blouse.
The two of you were sitting close together on the couch, his fireplace lit in the background behind the dining table while the TV was turned off. The room was as quiet as it could be, only the sounds of your breathing filled the room.
"I'm gonna go," it was then when you decided to stand up, quickly realising that that hadn't been the best idea as you stumbled slightly. Wonwoo's reflexes were quick to catch you from falling back, holding you until he was sure that you weren't going to trip over. His hands left your body as you turned around to face him, "I'm gonna head home." His hand quickly reached up again, getting a grasp of yours, catching you off guard and making you turn towards him again. Your eyes fell down to your intertwined hands as he spoke,
"You can stay." But you shook your head, regretting it right away,
"No, I have to go home." You wanted to turn and walk towards the front door, but his grip on your hand tightened. Your eyes interlocked when you gazed at him again.
"Stay," he spoke softly, "Please." His eyes were glassy from the alcohol, and even his cheeks had turned into a softer shade of pink, and you couldn't take your eyes off him. This side of him was new to you. Not only drunk but also... this. So... soft.
You shook your head, "Wonwoo, you're drunk-"
"I'm not that drunk, trust me," he told you, still not letting go of your hand, but rather tugging on it gently, making you slightly stumble closer to him.
"You don't even realise what you're saying, Wonwoo-" a deep sigh coming from him made you stop. The young CEO threw his head back, looking up at the ceiling, letting out a deep but somewhat sad chuckle,
"Jesus..."
"What?" You wanted to know, stepping just a bit closer, by your own choice - you told yourself the alcohol had taken over your body, making decisions for you. You were lying to yourself, and you knew that.
Wonwoo tilted his head slightly, just enough to meet your gaze. He looked at you with a smile. A warm smile while he let his head rest against the back of the couch.
"You really don't know, huh?" If you weren't as drunk as you were, you could've sworn he sounded desperate - like he was about to wine. As if it hurt.
"Don't know what?" His question confused you.
He kept the lazy grin on his lips.
"That I'm on my fucking knees for you, Y/N."
He didn't even care to look away. But neither did you. The two of you continued your conversation with your eyes because that's all you could get yourself to do after hearing those words from him.
I'm on my fucking knees for you.
"Everything you do," he suddenly continued, pulling you the last bit closer and sitting up straight, so he'd have you standing right between his legs. With his hands on your hips, he looked up at you, "Everything you say. I swear you have me wrapped around your fucking finger, and you don't even realise it."
You tried to look away. You tried so hard. But your body wouldn't let you. Your hands found his.
"Wonwoo, you're drunk-" No, he wasn't. You knew that. He had half as much to drink as you and had a much higher alcohol tolerance. You ignored him shaking his head. "You don't know what you're saying." Yes, he did. He wasn't intoxicated enough to forget or not realise what he had let come out of his mouth.
"On my knees, Y/N," he spoke again, his voice still as quiet as before. He pushed himself up, standing only a paper width away from you, towering over you as he cradled your face in his hands, "And I can't fucking do this."
"Do what?" You only let out a whisper, you didn't think you could've spoken any louder even if you had wanted to.
"This fake dating shit," he sighed with a shake of his head, "I thought it was a good idea. I have no idea why the fuck I thought it would be a good idea. But this is just bullshit. I can't do it."
He spoke with so much sincerity. If his hands hadn't been on your face, your legs would've given in already. Just to make sure, you wouldn't crumble at whatever words were going to come from him, you reached out to grab onto his arms.
"Wonwoo... I...," you wanted to say something so desperately. You wanted to shout something, to say something pure from your heart, but something was holding you back. You just couldn't get it out. "I don't..."
He shook his head, "I know that you might not understand or feel something like this," and looked down before meeting your gaze again, "And it's okay, Y/N. Don't feel obligated to say something now. I just needed you to know because I don't know for how much longer I could've done this." It truly felt like you weren't the only one that was about to fall apart right then and there. The way he was running his fingers over your cheek, staring into your eyes, never even wanting to break the eye contact, he must have felt a similar way. You knew there was no way any proper words would leave your mouth. Wonwoo had just... confessed to you, and you didn't know what to do. Your body suddenly shut down. Was he really saying this because he meant it? Does he need something? Does he want something? Why else would he just say that? But the words he had used...
On my fucking knees.
"You're going to regret that tomorrow," you spoke honestly. It didn't feel real. It didn't sound like something that would ever come from someone like Wonwoo. He was going to regret it. And you didn't want him to.
"I've never regretted anything in my life," he assured you with a soft facial expression, "And I could never regret this."
You let your actions, controlled by the alcohol in your system, speak for themselves and just threw yourself against his body, smashing your lips against his, making him tumble back onto the sofa. The second he was sat, you got onto his lap, wrapping your legs around each side of his hips. Your hands were on his hard chest, feeling the muscles move underneath his white button-down. His rough hands were still on your face, bringing you in closer and deeper if that was even possible anymore. Within only a few seconds and before you could tell them to stop, your hands were travelling down his body, going for the belt opening, but suddenly another hand stopped you. Your kiss got interrupted.
"No," Wonwoo look into your eyes, "Trust me, I really do want to take you in every goddamn way possible, Y/N. But you're drunk."
You quickly shook your head, "No, I'm not, I swear. Should I walk in a straight line?" You were about to get up, but his grip on your hips stopped you.
"Not tonight, Y/N. Not here, not now. I want to do this right." You weren't sure why exactly he had meant, but the only thing that mattered was that his voice was like a freaking melody to your ears. You could've come right then and there if we were being honest.
"I promise you," he continued, standing up with your legs wrapped around his torso as he carried you into the kitchen, "If you ask me to, I will take you in every way you could possibly imagine... But I can't do that now," and sat you down on the kitchen counter.
His hands were back on your face, brushing over your cheek and getting some hair out of your face to reveal your forehead. He leaned forward, and before you knew it, he had planted a kiss right above your eyebrows. You softly gasped at the soft touch. You didn't remember when the last could've been that you had a man touch you that gently. You tried to think of if anyone had ever touched you that gently. You couldn't think of a single time.
A deep breath left his lips once he was face to face with you again, "I really needed you to know..."
"But what am I supposed to do now? I don't know... what to say..." You could feel the slightest of quivers in the back of your throat, but you pushed them down with a gulp. It wasn't the time for tears.
His rough finger was laying softly against your cheek as he shook his head, "You don't have to say anything, princess. Don't say anything."
-
The two of you had fallen into a comfortable silence while you were still sitting on the counter, sipping on the tea Wonwoo had just made for you, while he was working on making himself a cup of coffee. It was three in the morning, who cares. By now, you had definitely sobered up a comfortable amount, and tea seemed to have helped you as the world wasn't spinning anymore. But one word from Wonwoo, and that could be changed very quickly once again.
"There's something I do regret," he suddenly spoke, making you look up, only to find his gaze already on your form.
You were confused, "Huh?"
Wonwoo filled up his cup and walked up to you, setting the cup down right next to you, "Earlier I told you there's nothing I regret in life," he took a deep breath, "But I lied. There is one thing."
"What is it?" You carefully wondered, wanting to know, but by his reaction, you got scared for the answer.
“I told her I hated her,” he took a sip of his coffee.
"Hate who?" You sat your own cup down, now invested in his story. He was opening up to you. For whatever reason... but you didn't question it. You were thankful.
"My mum," he simply put it, not daring to look you in the eye, "“Without even knowing what was going on. That’s the one thing I do regret. That I regret the most in my life.”
“But everyone says that at some point to their parents without really thinking about it,” you tried to ease the tension, but you quickly realised how much deeper this conversation was about to be by Wonwoo’s demeanour and dead look in his eyes.
“Not that time," he lifted his head to glance at you, "She left. I didn’t know why and I just told her, I hated her when she had every right to leave that god-forbidden family.”
“Why did she leave?” You carefully wondered, genuinely concerned.
He took a deep breath and put both hands on the counter, and let his head drop forward slightly. Your hands were begging you to touch his shoulders in comfort.
“My father is a terrible man. Always has been, always will be. He didn’t care about my mother. Not in the slightest. The way he talked about her… is just… disgusting. But I was so young I didn’t realise just how bad it was.” He gulped, “He’s everything I don’t want to be. When I found out what had happened, I promised myself to be better than him in every way possible… he belittled my mother until she couldn’t take it anymore. I saw what it did to her. She just kept accepting it. She never defended herself. Not once. And that just made him keep going. That fucking bastard…”
“Wonwoo, I’m s-“
“I don’t need your pity,” he stopped you softly, “I wasn’t the one who suffered.” He took another big gulp, downing the rest of the warm liquid in one go even though it was probably still way too hot. That gave you time to answer, but you couldn’t find the right words.
He turned his head to you, finding your gaze quickly, “That’s why I don’t want you to take shit like that. You let yourself get talked down way too much.”
“I do NOT-“
“Yes, you do. Men make comments all the time and you just accept them. I mean, with some at least, and you really shouldn’t let anyone talk to you like that.”
“I-… well…”
He raised his eyebrows, “You take so much that gets thrown at you. Every misogynistic comment, every harsh statement. From those bitch ass men. You shouldn’t let stuff like that just slide. Not even from asshole men like me.”
You couldn’t help but smile, “But you never belittled me.”
He nodded, “Maybe not that, but I did make you do some of the crappiest work someone could do.”
“And I did defend myself because of that!” You exclaimed, but he just shook his head, “Not enough, Y/N.”
You squinted after being quiet for a few seconds, “Are you trying to teach me about feminism right now?”
He let a chuckle escape his lips, laced with a hint of sadness, “I guess I’m trying,” before locking eyes with you again, coming closer, “This might be a wild guess, but your father doesn’t faze me as one to talk to you about stuff like that.”
You smiled, “Your wild guess might be right, but that doesn’t mean I don’t know how to defend myself.”
The two of you sat in another round of silence for a few more seconds before you continued, looking down at your fingers, “My father never wanted a daughter. I could tell that ever since I was little.” You sighed and tightened your grip on Wonwoo's hand the second he grasped yours, “He would kill to have a son like you," a salty chuckle tumbled from your lips, "Hell, he would kill me with his own hands if he was guaranteed a son like you.”
“Don’t say that,” Wonwoo’s voice was stern and strict, not liking a single word of what you had just said.
“It’s the truth,” you smiled sadly, feeling tears prickling in your eyes. “And I never wanted it either. I never wanted to take that path of work, but I didn’t have a choice. It was only ever us two, so when he suddenly had the idea of building up his own company, I had to help. I was what? 16? A 16-year-old girl shouldn’t have to worry about finances or the income of her father’s company and his business partners and whatnot. I didn’t attend most school events because I had to help him. No excursions, no prom.” You couldn’t help but to sniffle as you looked out of the window on the right, “That office... is the result of my work. I built it. Not him. Out of him wanting to do this and that became him telling me to do this and that. That prick didn’t even lift a finger most of the time. Everything there…” a sigh left your lips, your eyes down, fixed on your smaller hand in his, “That’s why I was so mad when he sold the company… to you.” Once you looked up, smiling sadly at the man next to you, you found him already looking at you, but with much more agony than before. “All of a sudden everything I worked for… was gone… ripped out of my hands without even telling me about it.”
“I’m sorry-“ Wonwoo began but you shook your head,
“I also don’t need your pity," and repeated his words.
“That’s not my pity. This is me being genuinely sorry about not knowing about this and taking everything away from you.” Suddenly, he brought your hand up to his lips, brushing his over your knuckles, placing the softest possible peck onto them. You didn't pull back. You couldn't.
“You didn’t take everything away from me… at least I’m still here…”
“You’re doing great.” He assured you all of a sudden, feeling like you needed to hear this and oh, how right he was, “You’re amazing at your job. And everyone would be more than lucky to have you work for them or with them.”
“Thanks.” And the tears fell. That was the first time someone has ever said that to you. Telling you, you did well.
You're doing great.
Wonwoo’s hand carefully reached out to touch the tears on your cheek, wiping them away softly as he smiled, “I guess fathers are just a little fucked up.”
You giggled, looking to the side to catch a glimpse of him, “A little?”
“Just a little bit,” he smiled back.
A few moments were spent in silence. Another comfortable silence. Neither of you had to say anything. You were just happy to be there. Together. There for each other.
“I’m sorry for how I treated you," Wonwoo broke the quietness.
You smiled and shrugged, "Well… now that I know about your intentions, I guess it’s fine. But… you really gotta work on how you’re trying to help others.”
“I guess I do,” he chuckled, lowering his head to the floor.
“Because… I mean, I honestly don’t think it really helped the feminist in me.” You stated nervously, chuckling at the situation. He nodded, making you smile. “I don’t know how feminist girl boss it is to fuck their boss in a janitor’s closet at the first event they attend together.”
He grinned, “And in his office, and almost in his apartment. Twice-“
“Alright!” You slapped his chest, giving him the perfect opportunity to get a new hold of your hand.
“I think that’s pretty feminist girl boss of you.” He stopped for a second before adding, “I never thought those words would ever come out of my mouth.”
His comment made you laugh. Genuinely laugh. Maybe it was the last bit of alcohol in your system, but he actually made you laugh.
He looked at you wide-eyed, pleasantly surprised by the sudden exclamation of you. He did that. He made you laugh.

just wanted to say the I love your work, but it’s made me think of just getting absolutely manhandled by childe- bratty fem reader who thinks she finally has a one up on childe bc she caught him off guard, but he quickly realized her intentions (naturally lmao). In an instant he has the reader pinned up against the wall before he makes her go absolutely dumb on his cock, tossing her around while sayin nothing but filthy things to her then finally filling her up

"Stop taking my things!" Childe yelled, trying to get his notebook out of your hand but you just laughed
You ran towards your room and locked it with a giggle then screamed "You can't go in now, loser!" you open the notebook and see a bunch of random things.
Surprisingly, Childe has really good writing, you never knew about that and he's really good at drawing "Wait, is this me?" you whisper to yourself.
Childe still knocking on your door, annoyed "Hey, what the hell? Open up" he hissed. You heard your other room mates.
"Ugh, you two are fighting again" Xiao said "You're gonna be late.. again" even though he was on the other side of the door, you could see his annoyed face.
You giggle looking at Childe's notes about you "Pretty funny, smart but super annoying. Why am I the only one she picks a fight with?" you laugh out loud "That Childe!"
You finally go out and return his notebook "Here" you rolled your eyes. He frowned.
"You suck" he said, grabbing his bag "Now we're going to be late, Xiao already left with Venti"
"You hid my phone last time, I was literally on the verge of crying" you groaned then continued "Just go on, I have to wake up Hu Tao, she's still sleeping"
"Oh come on" he sighed but still he sat down, a sign that he'll wait for you "Wake her up and let's go"
"Great, we're late" Childe slapped a notebook on your head "Good job idiot"
You look at him "Hey! I never asked you to wait for me!!" you roll your eyes again walking faster than him but he followed you immediately.
"Now we have to stay in the 'prison' after school" He rolled his eyes "I hate this school"
You just laughed "Come on, it's not prison" you both ran towards your respective classrooms.
"Not prison my ass" He sighed
You were going through your bag, searching for your phone "Where the hell is it?" you whisper to yourself.
The man in front of you looked back "I saw Childe take it earlier at the house"
You groaned "Ugh" you stomped your feet "Thanks for telling me Xiao"
It was after school and it was time to go to 'prison'. You and Childe call it that because you're always there, really it's just an empty classroom where late comers have to stay after school.
You always run away though but you don't know about Childe. Because you needed your phone you have to go there, you were annoyed while walking.
"Childe!" You called out after going inside the room, but he wasn't there "So he never goes here either"
You were walking home when you see your other housemate, Venti on the street "Venti, hey, you going home?"
"Not yet, I'm waiting for Xiao" he said, he was carrying food "He's at practice, want some?"
You shook your head no "Thanks but I know that's not enough for Xiao"
"Yeah I know, I only asked for formality" he said then you both laughed. You waved bye to him and walked home.
You open the door and see Childe watching TV while using YOUR phone "H-Hey! That's my phone!!" you immediately closed the door then ran towards him, trying to snatch your phone but he was quick to move.
"Keqing texted you saying she's going to be home late" he said, standing up so you wouldn't reach the phone.
"D-Don't look at my messages jerk!" You follow him but he was taller than you so you're having a hard time reaching your phone.
"Who's this Diluc guy? I think he likes you, look at his messages, being nice and everything, asking if you already ate, asking if you got home safely, the hell" He said, reading it, he had a very serious face for some reason.
"None of your business" you said
Childe was reading more messages when suddenly he lost his balance, falling on top of you, his face on your breasts. Some of the buttons on your uniform popped open.
You immediately blush and feel something hard on your legs "Childe!" you yelled.
He stood up immediately and covered his crotch "Uh sorry" he then sat on the sofa, covering a pillow on it, he still has your phone.
You tried to fix your uniform, he was looking at you from time to time. Your bra can be seen because of the broken buttons. He stared at your thighs, where his dick was earlier. He immediately got a hard on but you didn't realize this.
Then you thought of something genius, taking teasing to the next level. You walked towards him, he immediately said "Hey! Change your clothes" he has a blush on his face, trying to avert his gaze but he couldn't help it.
You removed the pillow above his legs then sat on top of him. He was dumbfounded, just looking at you, then you took the chance to grab your phone off his hands.
"Got it" you giggled, you felt something hard on your butt, just to annoy him one more time you tried moving, he release a slight grunt, holding on your shoulders then you stood up "See ya later ninny" you laugh, walking towards your room to change clothes.
You look at your phone and reply to Keqing. You start removing your blouse "I'll fix that later" you were pleased that you finally had the last laugh in teasing Childe, you tried thinking if it was too much then you thought it's Childe, it'll be fine. It won't be awkward.
While pondering to yourself, Childe walked inside your room while you were in the middle of changing "What the heck Childe?"
"You really thought you could win?" He smirked walking towards you, you immediately know what he was doing, he was also making fun of you, so you tried to stand your ground.
You nod "Yeah, I already did remember?" then he pinned you on the wall, both your arms stuck. You were just wearing your bra and your skirt, you had no underwear because you were about to take a bath. He can't see right?
It was dark in the room, it's pretty hard to see but you still could, you were blushing like crazy but you have to be strong, he then said "No, you didn't"
"Come on Childe, I was about to take a bath" you said, trying to shrug him off but his grip on your arms on the wall was strong. You were face to face with each other. Even though it was kind of dark, you still see his face, his eyes, mouth.
You never knew he was this handsome. Good thing it was dark or else he'd tease you about blushing so goddamn hard.
You were starting to feel hot and wet. But he still had you pinned on the wall. Then you feel something tickle on your neck, his breaths.
"You smell good already" he whispers, you bite your lower lip to not make a sound "We both know what we want y/n"
He then started kissing your neck, you feel like melting, it was so hot. You start moaning a little bit "C-Childe" your knees felt weak.
He then put his face in front of yours, your noses touching "Still think you won?" he smirked before kissing your lips softly. The kiss actually felt magical. He then let go of your arms and stopped, he was about to leave.
You pulled your skirt down a little to cover yourself, you were wet just from that. He chuckled before walking away "That's how it felt when you walked away earlier" but before he could leave, you grab his arm unconsciously.
He turned to look at you "Oh?" he was smiling. You realize what you did so immediately, you let go of his arm "I guess I was right then? We both know what we want?"
You nod slightly, covering your eyes because of embarrassment. He turned the lights on and locked the door "You sure?" he asked
You groaned "Shut up" he was teasing you again. He laughed then pushed you on the bed. You held your skirt down to cover you up, he saw this.
As soon as he crawled on top of you, he held both your hands again to restrain you. He used his knees, he rubbed it on your wet pussy.
"N-Not there" you whispered but you felt weak. Just doing these things to you, it completely turned you on.
His rubs started to go faster, he could feel that you were wet "C-Childe, n-no!"
"No? But you're so wet" he whispered, you felt his hot breath on your neck again. Being restrained just makes you want it more "You feel it?" he asked, you let your moans out.
He then used his knees to spread your legs even wider "Are you excited, little slut?" he smirked, observing your reactions "I like seeing you like this" then he chuckled "And earlier you were so confident, sitting on my lap, now you're whimpering?"
He grabbed your face and pinched your mouth a little, he then kissed you, sucking your mouth, inserting his tongue. The kiss was intense in an instant, both of you were breathing hard.
"C-Childe, put it in" You whisper, not capable of waiting any longer "Put it in" you begged, Childe just laughed.
"Woahh, relax" he said, licking your neck "We'll get there" he starts caressing your breast from above the bra, teasing you "I've always wanted to touch 'em" you start moaning, feeling real good when his fingers slide inside the cloth. His fingers rubbed your erect nipples.
He took his clothes off, all of it, he started stroking his own cock, rubbing it on your legs, his pre cum dripping. He grunted, his face on the nook of your neck so you felt warm "Shit" he started kissing you again, biting your lower lip softly, it was so sexy.
You felt like you were going to burst at the moment, you can't believe you're going to do it with Childe "Strip for me, whore" he whispered, sitting right up. You sat up too.
He was still pumping his own cock up and down while you remove your remaining clothes. He was practically drooling at the end.
He pulled your arm and then tossed you on your back, you almost fell out of the bed. The top part of your body was almost on the floor while your lower part was on the bed. Your ass was facing Childe's erect cock.
"This'll be fucking good" he said before you felt his dick go inside your hole. You quickly moaned loudly, your feet curling up because of the pleasure.
You were screaming in a matter of seconds, you didn't know he was this big "Fuck! Childe! You're so big" you groaned, your palms on the floor while Childe pound on you from behind "Faster" his hands gripping your waist.
He slapped your ass "Little bitch, begging for more?" he asked with a slight chuckle "I'll give you more" he pulled you up, tossing you on the bed, you're now facing him.
You squeal everytime he pulls and pushes you whenever he wants, you just let him "Childe!" you moaned. He inserted his cock again, you can see the bump on your stomach. He was that big.
He likes what he sees, smirking while going balls deep inside of you, his both hands on your breasts as it bounces "Fucking slut!" he slapped them causing you to shout again.
"Childe! Fuck me" you tried moving your hips at his pace, his fingers rubbing both your nipples. It was pure bliss. He was so rough, you were begging for more "Faster, deeper! P-Please!" He kissed you and then your breasts. Sucking on it like a hungry baby "That feels so good" you moaned. Your eyes were closed, your hands roaming everywhere on his body. You were both sweating hard "Shit Childe, it's so good"
He was busy sucking your breasts and thrusting to even speak, all you can hear from him was his moans and grunts. Not a moment later, he grabbed both your legs and placed it on his shoulders "Cum for me slut" he said, thrusting his cock even deeper than before.
You cry out "H-Holy shit!" you held his muscular arms, screaming "I-I-I'm cumming! Don't stop!"
Then someone knocked on the door "Hey, y/n, you there? Xiao and I bought dinner for everybody" someone asked, it was Venti. Childe didn't stop from moving but you covered your mouth to stop yourself from moaning.
Childe saw that you were struggling to keep the moans in, so he started to rub your clit. Your eyes widen, you whispered "What are you doing?"
"Pleasuring my slut of course" He smirked, he thrusts became even faster. With him rubbing your clit in circles, you couldn't help but moan out loud.
"Are you alright in there?" Venti asked, knocking "Are you hurt?" you didn't wanna leave him hanging so you answered.
"I-I'm fine!" you yell, your eyes rolling upwards from all the pleasure "I-I-I-I'll be right ou- ngh"
Before you could answer, Childe kissed you, both your tongues dancing with each other. You held his head tightly, rubbing his hair, pulling him deeper. Your legs wrap around his waist, you tried humping along with him.
"Childe's shoes are here, but he isn't in his room. Just tell him when you see him" Venti said before leaving.
Childe licked your neck, leaving marks "They'll know now" he smirked "F-fuck, I'm cumming"
"D-Don't stop please" you begged and he didn't stop, he kept thrusting, even though he was feeling tired "I-I'm so close!" you moaned. Your whole body shivered, you screamed as you released everything.
Childe's dick was white from your cum but he kept going, moaning "Y/n!! Shit shit, I'm cumming!" he said, he kept thrusting before stopping and shouting "Fuck, wh-ore" you felt something warm inside you, he just filled you up.
He plopped on the bed beside you, breathing heavily "That was so fucking good"
You were panting "That was wild"
"Don't text Diluc anymore" he said, finally catching his breath
You nod "I won't"
"We're going to eat dinner then it's round 2 baby" he kissed your forehead before getting dressed "I'll go out first, we're doing it in my room later"
You rubbed your neck, it was full of hickeys, you have no idea how you're going to cover it!
You and Childe sat beside each other at dinner.
"Are you feeling cold y/n?" Hu Tao asked, she just got home
Venti laughed "This is the first time I saw you wear a turtleneck"
Childe laughed along with them "Yeah, it's almost as if you're hiding something"
You kick him from under the table, but once again he beat you by placing his hand above your thighs and then rubbing it. You look at him in surprise and he just smirked.
He's always going to be one step ahead of you but it's all good because you actually like it.
End

okay so in one of the childcare convict posts you mention that tech has piglin instincts so at one point when things are getting intense in the house, he absconds with michael to chill with dream for a bit. can we see some more details of this moment bc i think dream and michael co parenting is really cute and michael getting to have some moments with his two favorite people and feel safe curled up between them
The first thing Technoblade knows, is that life has been unfair to Tubbo. What with Ranboo getting murder, and then losing his kid, then finally getting the kid back after half a year, only to discover the kid had picked Dream as his caretaker? Yeah. That was rough. The second thing Techno knows, is that Tubbo loves Michael. He's doing his best to reconnect with his kid, and although he's not perfect, he's still trying.
The third thing Techno knows is that if Tubbo takes one step closer to him, Techno is going to kill him.
There's a growl coming from his throat, and Michael is in Techno's arms, cradled very delicately. The human part of Techno's brain knows that Tubbo didn't mean any harm. That when he took Michael's hand and tried to lead him away from Dream's door, it was just so they could spend time together. Michael had just been having a bad day, and Tubbo must've gripped a bit too tight.
Michael had let out a whine. A plea for help. And Techno was a piglin above all else.
Across the room, Tubbo was trembling, eyes wide and scared. Techno's instincts and Chat were deeply pleased. Part of him didn't believe it was enough. Part of him wanted to rip and tear and hurt because the child was scared.
Techno took a deep breath. Then another. Then, with all the restraint he had in his body, he shuffled his way out of the living room and towards Dream's room.
The child was scared. The child needed their caretaker. That was more helpful then blood.
Repeating that to himself, Techno made his retreat. Slamming Dream's door open was a near thing, but he stopped himself there too. Really, Techno was showing incredible restraint right now.
Honestly, Techno didn't realize he'd closed his eyes until he felt Michael wiggle in his arms. Blinking them back open, he automatically released the child in his arms.
Michael didn't hestiate, the moment he was released, he scrambled up onto the bed, burrowing into Dream's chest with a pleased sequel. Safe. Happy. Thank god.
Several moments ticked by. Dream was staring, his shoulders were tense and his grip on Michael was protective, but he didn't press Techno for answers. Out of respect or fear, Techno wasn't sure. He wanted to believe it was the former though.
After taking several more deep breaths, Techno moved to sit on the chair next to the bed. Only, it felt wrong. He couldn't see the door. If he moved the chair, then he wouldn't be able to see Michael. His ear flicked in annoyance as he tried to settle.
"Here."
Dream's voice was still raspy, but calm as he shifted his legs, freeing up room on the bed. Normally, Techno would protest, but right now it was perfect. The bed was against the wall, so sitting at the foot of it would let him se everything. He took up his place without comment. Still focused on breathing.
A minute or two must've ticked by before Techno was calm enough to speak. Michael was still in Dream's lap, with some of the blankets pulled around him as he chuffed softly. It'd only been a few hours since they last saw each other, but from how the piglet acted you'd think it was years.
"Sorry 'bout that, Michael got spooked and my brain wouldn't chill."
"Okay." Dream accepted the partial truth for all of about three seconds. "What'd Tubbo do?"
The question was... guarded. Dangerous. As much as Dream might want the rest of them to think he could leave Michael behind at any time, he wasn't fooling anyone. He'd kill for the kid.
"How'd you know it was him?"
That earned him a Look. Honestly, it was total bullshit that Dream could be so judgemental with that mask on. Techno needed to figure how he managed it one of these days.
"Well, I mean, the scream strongly implied he was involved."
Oh. Techno hadn't heard that. He must've still been near feral.
"Fair enough." A second's pause, this was delicate. The piglin in him wanted to call Tubbo a hazard, a danger, say he shouldn't be near Michael again. The human in him knew better. "Wasn't his fault."
Another Look. Goddamnit.
"Michael's just been having a rough day, he got spooked by a horse right after breakfast. Think he might'a caught a wiff of blood when Phil was helpin' change your bandages too. Tubbo was just trying to lead him off, was hopin' you could get some more sleep, but I think he grabbed a little hard."
It was a bit of a ramble, but it lowered Dream's hackles a bit. Not all the way. After a moment, Techno tacked on to his statement.
"It was with his bad arm. He's good with it most times, but when he's already stressed, it's hard."
That did the trick. Dream considered the point and nodded, glancing down at Michael for something. The kid was pouting, but reluctantly made a few handsigns, too quickly for Techno to make anything out, but good enough for Dream. The other man huffed a half laugh. Still raspy and sounding near painful, but present and soothing all the same.
After a moment, Dream spoke, voice soft in that way he reserved for Michael. That way Techno considered himself extremely lucky to be allowed to bare witness too. He knew for a fact Dream never used that voice when anyone else was within earshot, and it made a primitive part of him rumble in pride to have earned that trust.
"Yeah, they weren't lying. I just had to swap out the bandages, and some of 'em were totally gross. That's why you couldn't be there. Phil didn't do anything to me."
Michael accepted the answer, although his little eyes kept a glint of suspicion to them. Dream must've picked up on it too, and glanced up towards Techno.
"Since that's all settled, Techno, could you grab Michael's puzzle? The new one."
Sighing dramatically, Techno heaved himself up and over to the toy chest, snagging Michael's new puzzle that Tubbo had made, and a few of the plush animals that Phil had stitched together. He returned to the bed with his prizes, offering the plushes first to Michael's delight, which bought him enough time to snag the bedside tray Dream used for his meals and set up the puzzle on it.
Michael clapped his hands in joy and started on the puzzle without any hesitation. It wasn't a great start, he wasn't even bothering to sort the pieces or find the corners, but Techno had been told on no uncertain terms was he allowed to criticize the baby's method of puzzle solving. So, he kept his mouth shut.
While Michael worked at his puzzle with his face screwed up in concentration, Dream shifted so he could lean back on the mound of pillows arranged carefully by the headboard. They weren't in a nest shape yet, but Techno had a feeling that they might shift in that direction given time. That was none of his buisness though.
What was his business was the fact Dream was shivering again. The man had been under the covers before Michael came in, and those blankets were now pulled down and trapped under the piglet. Dream wouldn't move the kid either. Not when he was so focused on his puzzle.
So, Techno, who had long since adjusted to the cold, pulled off his own cloak and wrapped it around his friend's shoulders. Sure, Dream had extra cloaks and extra blankets, ones that Techno could reach without standing, but his was already warm. And it was better. By virtue of it being Techno's.
The pleased feeling in his chest was just from taking care of Michael, and it had nothing to do with seeing his sounder wrapped up in his colors. Nothing at all.
Dream didn't seem convinced, but he pulled the cloak around himself all the same. Despite the fact Dream was clearly pleased by the gift, he still gave Techno a Look. Techno couldn't take it any longer.
"How the hell do you do that through a mask? I swear, it's gotta be some kind of magic!"
Ugh. Dream didn't even try to respond. He just laughed at Techno. Not quite his old kettle laugh, but a full, breathless laugh all the same.
Bastard.
God, Techno had missed him.

Platonic headcanons of Zhongli, Dulic, Kaeya and Childe picking up/helping a mistreated runaway child please? They were sold off by their parents as a servant and believe they have no value, so it would be better for them to die. The child has repressed their emotions, so they don't have any expression, but it's not until they're shown genuine kindness they break/cry bc ????? no ulterior motives? they actually deserve love and basic needs??
TW: implied abuse/mistreatment
I'm going to write this as if they ran away
Read with caution please
Zhongli
Found you outside the funeral parlour
You were hiding underneath the overhang above the entrance
The first thing he noticed was that it was raining, he noticed you soon after
You were sitting with your back to the door, staring ahead blankly
He kneeled down to you, asking you what was wrong and who you were
You said nothing to him
The only acknowledgement he got was a hesitant nod when he asked if you were hungry
He furrowed his brow, but coaxed you into entering the funeral parlour
And when he supplied you with food from the staff kitchen, he was caught off guard when you bowed deeply at his offer
A small 'thank you, sir' left your mouth and a smile crossed his face
You say nothing else when he begins to ask you questions
His concern grows gradually, especially when he sees that you haven't really touched your food
He asked if you were well or needed to see Dr. Baizhu
Once he realizes that you're not eating out of
He kneels down to your level and reassures you that everything is alright
And that's when you break
You begin to cry before you even realized that you were crying
He was momentarily caught offguard but placed his hand gently on your head
It was then that you told him everything
His face hardened but his voice remained soft as he did his best to calm you down
He's not gonna stand for this I hope ypu know
He's adopting you on the spot
-
Diluc
Thought you were lost in the city
So he intended to ask you, however, he got no response
He raised a brow, but asked again
You look at him but refused to make eye contact and shook your head
Immediately knows something is amiss by your demeanor
Asks if you'd like to sit inside the share where it wasn't so cold out
Provides you with some juice and asks where your parents are
After all who would leave a child in the middle of town alone
The only responses he gets is a momentary expression of sadness before your expression goes back to its normal mask of monotony
He's concerned now but doesn't outwardly show it
and continues to ask you a few questions about where you came from and what you were doing
He makes you a hot meat as well
You stare at the food with tears in your eyes
He actually fed you?? Unprompted???
And let you stay??? after closing time??
He stops polishing the glass he's holding when he sees you crying
He wasn't expecting such a reaction
He opened his mouth but before he could speak you started rambling
You spilled everything
He stared at you, surprised, before setting his class down
He moved around the counter and sat in the stool next to you
And suddenly you have a place to stay
-
Kaeya
You're sleeping on a bench when he finds you
He got back late from an excursion with the nights
It's the dead of night
So he's very concerned
Why is there a child sleeping out here????
He looks around for any sign of your parents but sees nothing
Maybe you didn't realize how late it was? Your family must be worried sick
So he wakes you gently and informs you about how late it was
You just roll over and try to go back to sleep
Did you run away from home then?
He figures he'd take you back to the Knights HQ
Better for you to sleep on a couch in his office than on a bench outside
He can attempt to find your parents tomorrow
So he offers
You squint at him, suspicious, but follow nonetheless
Once there, he fetches a blanket and gives to you
You're surprised
At home you slept on a dingy mattress on the floor without any covers
You stare at the blanket in his hands for a moment before taking it, tears welling up in your eyes
Yoy thanked hin quietly, turning around so he couldn't see you cry
too late thought, he did
He sat on the couch next to you asking if you were okay
and all you say was you've never had a blanket
That caught him off guard and he asks you to elaborate
So you tell him everything and it makes him angry
That was when he decided not to worry about finding your parents
He'd talk to jean first thing
And hey Klee has a friend now
-
Tartaglia
You'd been sitting in the same place all day
Even after he'd passed where you were both early in the morning and well into the evening
He watches from afar as more time passes and you dont move
Then he approaches you
He asks if you're waiting for someone and offers to wait with you
However, when you shake you head at him, his smile becomes a frown
He asks what you're doing out alone and sits on the bench next to you
You don't respond
And he thinks for a moment
To break the ice he mentions you remind him of his siblings and asks of you have any yourself
You shake your head
Now we're getting somewhere
He continues with small banter in am attempt to make you more comfortable, a smile on his face so he doesn't intimidate you
You don't say anything the enitre time
It's past dark now, and he's confused
Why are you still out here
Surely whoever you were waiting on must've arrived by now
But he doesn't want to leave you out here by yourself in the dead of night
So he offers to pay for you a room at an Inn
You look up at him in surprise and shake your head rapidly
But he just raised a brow and motioned for you to follow him
You're in awe the entire time and once he's about the leave after you're settled in you begin to cry
He turns around surprised and sits on the floor in front of you
Uses the tactics he used to calm down his siblings
It was then that you began to rapid fire answer all the questions he'd asked you earlier
Tbh how quickly you changed from your earlier demeanor gave him whiplash
when you calm down he promises to come back and check on you
Briefly wonders how you'd get along with his siblings if he brought you with him back to Snezhnaya

Ok but Eddie comforting you after your dad calls you names bc your dating a ‘loser’ and kicked you out.
Oki! This is a lil angsty at the start so be prepared.
(Requests: OPEN)
Eddie Munson Comforting You
Although you had spent most of your life with your father, you never really got along with him. Even when he'd show his support for you, you never really appreciated it. Today wasn't any different.
Walking into the kitchen you sat your backpack down, switching it out with another bag you had left on the table, preparing to leave through the backdoor to go meet Eddie as always. But this time you were stopped, "And where do you think you're going?" Your father stood behind you, his voice already aggravated without even knowing what was happening.
"I'm going out"
"Out? Well, if you are going out then you wouldn't mind explaining why exactly you have a bag full of tapes with you." His eyes look at you before moving over at the bag.
"I...I'm just going over to a friends house."
"A friends house? Which one. And it better not be that no good kid Eddie." His brows furrow as he sees your expression change. "I don't want to see you hanging around that boy anymore, he'll corrupt you."
"He is a good kid, he's nice to me, but I doubt you'd ever noticed since you barely know anything about me." You hated arguing with him, every time it got you nowhere and it usually just lead to you being on the verge of tears or angry.
"He's a devil worshipper! What do you not understand about that?" He sighs, "Look, just stay away from him or you'll end up being like him and his loser friends." He walks off, ignoring your yelling. His words hurt, they always did and you knew telling your mother wouldn't change anything. So, there was only one place to go, Eddie's house. You really hoped that he would be the only one at home, since you were tired of talking to anyone over the age of 30.
So grabbing the keys to your car, you left driving off to Eddie's house. When you arrived the lights were off besides one. Eddie's bedroom light. Though you didn't need that to tell you he was home since the loud sound of rock music could be heard from outside the trailer.
The moment you knocked on the door you heard the music be turned down and heavy steps towards the front door. You didn't even try to hide your tears as he opened the door and instead you planted your head against his chest, crying into it. "H-hey beautiful, what's got you down." He looks down at you, a little taken back by your actions.
"I don't wanna talk about it, can we just cuddle." You make eye contact with him, sniffling.
"Yeah...of course, if you want I can make you some tea or something." His hands grab you arms as he begins to pull you further into the house, past the living room and into his bedroom.
"No, it's ok. I just wanna be with you right now." Your words catch him off guard as his ears begin to grow bright red and a light pink covers his cheeks.
"God, you're so sweet. I love you." And with that he pulls you onto the bed with him, his arms wrapping around you, trapping you in his embrace. "I hope you know, I'm never gonna let go of you." He mumbles, pressing his face into your neck.

• pairing: souya x gn!reader, nahoya x gn!reader, chifuyu x gn!reader
• request by anon: Can I ask either the Kawata twins or Chifuyu scenario (if you think headcanon is best then it's fine) where they want to spend time with reader (s/o) but can't cause they're being babysat by Hanma? So if they want to take to the arcade or house Hanma HAS to be there to make sure that Tomans new Counselor is safe. Reference?: S/o managed to help Takemichi keep Baji and Kazutora alive (by giving Baji an accidental comma) and holding off Mikey with his dark impulses afterwards. This peaked Kisakis interest in his plans to take over Toman so he wanted you under his "care" making Hamna your personal "bodyguard".
• genre: fluff?
• note: tbh that was such a good idea, thank you so much for the request, i choosed to do the headcanon way bc it was easier for me lol, sorry i didn't wrote this sooner i wasn't feeling okay and didn't wanted to write anything, hope you'll like it though
Tumblr media
— Souya Kawata
Souya asked you to come see him after the bloody halloween, he didn't heard that much from you and he heard from his brother that you've fight a lot, so he was getting worried and even more when you didn't answer him
so he was the one reaching out to you, his usual fron deepened when he saw you getting mad at Hanma while he was just smiling "Leave me alone!" you say, Souya started to walk to you "Sorry I can't" Hanma says
"What's wrong?" ask Souya, looking at Hanma and you look at your boyfriend like "oh fuck"
then you explain to him that hanma act like a bodyguard and it annoys you
you then both come to conclusion that hanma won't stop following you so you just have your date with souya, acting like hanma isn't there
— Nahoya Kawata
Mucho told him that Kisaki asked to have you under his order and he was so annoyed to know that Mikey said yes
you were supposed to stay in his division and it made it worse that you were complaining about Hanma following you everywhere
he still haven't saw you since Bloody Halloween and when he asked you to come on a date with him he was surprised to see you running to him, taking his hand so he'll run with you
"Why are you running?" he ask, a large smile on his face as he look back to see if someone was following you
And when you stop to catch your breath and then explain that Hanma was acting like a guard dog to see what you were doing all the time, you had to hold him because he was so close to go back and fight him
You thought that you lost him so you spend the entire day at the arcade with your boyfriend, laughing and acting all lovey-dovey
when you were alone and on your way back home, you saw hanma coming to you "i almost puke 5 times today" he smile "shut up"
— Chifuyu Matsuno
probably the most mad about this, he know kisaki was the one trying to kill baji and the fact that he asked to have you in his division made him so mad
when you told him that you couldn't go at his place because kisaki make hanma watch over you he was a bit reassured bc it means kisaki don't want something happening to you but it doesn't make him less mad bc you are wrong if you think he won't come see you
would told you to come and then lock his door in hanma's face and you laugh at hanma knocking on the door without stopping
chifuyu then jus kiss you like everything was normal and you go in his bedroom, laying on his bed, reading manga
when you both leave so he can wlak you back home, hanma is still here, sitting on the stairs, a cigarette between his lips and he smile "you thought i'd leave huh?" "shut up"

Healing wounds
Billy russo x fem!reader
Summary: Reader takes a bullet for Billy and they have a huge fight about it because Billy struggles to explain how he really feels in the right way +fluff

—————
Walking inside the apartment Billy and y/n shared with limping footsteps y/n stepped inside first and Billy shut the door behind him with a loud thud. Y/n flinched at the sound knowing well what was going to follow but had no energy to react to it as of now.
“What the fuck was that?” Billy asked as soon as they made it to the living room while y/n still had her back turned to him as she removed his jacket from her shoulders to press on her patched wound. It was a bullet wound on her arm, a bullet she took for him and that is what stung Billy even more. Things could’ve gotten much uglier in one moment and he could’ve never been able to forgive himself.
Draping his jacket on the couch she felt at ease, not that she had a problem with his clothes it was on the contrary but he acted so shrill and angered altogether while they were still in front of the rest of the team he was already talking down to her she didn’t want to create much of a scene refusing his jacket she didn’t need in the first place.
“Y/n I am talking to you.” Billy spoke again crossing his arms as he stood on the opposite side of the room.
Y/n turned to face him this time and slowly threw her hands in the air with an obvious gesture that she heard him the first time.
“What was that show you pulled out in the field huh?” His voice was more stern this time as he knew she didn’t think it was as serious as it was to him.
“Look Billy can we not do this right now?” Y/n asked sighing in a calmer tone sitting on the sofa only to not face him once again.
Billy walked over to her, standing in front of her view of the turned off TV “Do you have some issues? Did you loose it out there?”
“What?” Y/n asked confused facepalming herself well aware Billy wouldn’t stop ramming down his thoughts.
“You could’ve died out there Y/n do you not get it?!” He yelled bending from his back to meet her face.
“I was doing my job!” Y/n yelled back in his face sitting up straight on the sofa. She wasn’t generally the one to raise her voice, ever.
“No you did it poorly! That could’ve been handled better-much much better but you just had to no?”
“I am not a child! You do not get to yell at me telling me how to do my job!” She said in her guarded tone, the tension on her shoulders unease Billy even more. Y/n wonders of what else could’ve gone much much better. Maybe how her boyfriend could start by helping her with her bullet wound instead of start picking unnecessary fights at her. This was frequent for him, he was short tempered yes. Y/n knew that but nothing like this. Nothing out of the blue. She had been on countless missions before and it was sick how he questioned her combat skills at the same time.
“Oh no I do get to tell you because you took the bullet for me! That was a serious stunt you pulled-you let your feelings come in the way!” Billy’s voice was louder than he had used in any of their fights before or at anyone else for that matter. Even though his loud voice was tempting y/n didn’t seem to back down because of the volume of his voice. When she knew she wasn’t wrong.
Y/n stood up from the sofa with a struggle, yanking off Billy’s arm when he so subtly tried to help her up out of instinct.
“I did what I did out there because it’s a part of my job! I have the right training and qualification for it-I just did what I would’ve done for anyone else-but you-would you act this frustrated and angry if it was someone else who took that bullet for you hmm?” Y/n’s tone wasn't attacking as Billy’s though she wanted it to but her words cut like venom, taking a step closer she looked up to her face pointing at him to make impact of her words because his face showed no remorse “Maybe you’re the one who’s acting out of feelings!”
“Is that what you think? Me? I have handled worse things-my experience of the ground is far bigger than your daddy’s-money-college-degree and field trip training.” Billy’s words left y/n aback at how casually he just said that. That wasn’t even the subject of the fight. He was angry he said it, but he said it.
Y/n nodded her head unsure if she could even let out any words without crying “W-wow alright-what do you want me to say? I just tried saving your life and I did it. I am sorry?” Her voice was weary and shaky when not even a minute ago she was yelling at the same volume as him.
“Did you think about me when you stepped in front of that bullet? What I would do if something happened to you? You could’ve been killed-in a matter of seconds! What then huh?” Billy continued sneering at her jaw clenched even though she was done with this argument the moment it started.
“But I didn’t! I’m-“ tears welled up her eyes, she didn’t lack wits nor the right decision but she was on the verge of breaking down in tears and it blurred her thoughts.
“You made the most irresponsible and stupid decision in the middle—“
“Yeah no yeah you’re right-“ she cut him off not being able to hold back tears at that comment. She nodded looking down as it felt shameful to meet his gaze. She stepped back turning and paced to her room shutting the door behind her.
“Y/n wait-“ Billy stood there in their living room alone with sudden overwhelm of guilt that washed over him. He knew what was wrong, what he was so pressed about, he was aware of it. Yet he said the worst possible things to her so unable and distant to express what exactly stung him.
Billy followed her steps back to her the shut door of her room. Right behind the door where she sat with her head down hugging her knees, muffling her cries as she heard Billy’s footsteps approaching.
He knocked on the door gently feeling worse as every word he spoke replayed in his mind “Y/n darling hey-“
“Go away!” She shouted from the other side of the door.
“Can you please just open the door I just want to talk.”
“You talked enough please just fuck off!”
“Y/n I am sorry.” He considered breaking open the door but y/n seemed to sound like she was right behind it so he just left her to it even though it ached him. It was his fault here, she needed her time and he did just that. Billy moved away from her room leaving her to her peace for while until she feels better about the situation.
Billy was impatient and not much later to the facade he caused he returned to y/n’s room to the still closed door. “It’s me again-y/n can I please talk to you?”
“I told you go away!” She spoke in between sobs which he could make out even though he couldn’t see her face her voice revealed everything, he felt even more bad given the fact that she was crying this entire time. Because of him. This time he didn’t mean to leave her alone, instead sank to the ground sitting by the support of the door from his back. “Look I know what I said must’ve hurt you, I was an asshole-when you just got shot I should've taken care of you, should’ve ran you a bath, tucked you in. I didn’t mean any of that really-none of it but I was angry, not at you! I was angry I could’ve—“ even mentioning it to a wall it made him so uneasy to say it out loud “I could’ve lost you. And I wouldn’t know what to do then. You did nothing wrong y/n you were brave-you are brave! You are kind a-and calming you are million other things I can never be! You are my only hand to hold and I don’t ever want to loose you and if I got to choose, I would make the selfish choice and prefer to leave this world before you because it’s painful when you’re not here and tonight it felt like that choice almost got taken away from me.” Billy said looking at the wall opposite to him but y/n’s face was pictured in front of his eyes like the back of his own hand. While he talked both of them sat with their backs to each other and only the door was what kept them from touching. He wondered if he could’ve ever said what he said to her face if she’d opened the door, or even say what he said at all. It felt the most truthful yet vulnerable he had ever been.
Billy stood up suddenly hearing the door knob move as y/n opened the door revealing her puffy eyes but had a tired smile this time. She didn’t say anything instead she just hugged him, wrapping her arms around him as it felt like if she left him he wouldn’t exist. Billy hugged back smiling, leaving small pecks on the top of her forehead.
Y/n in his arms at probably 3 am in the morning in the middle of their hallway seemed to be the most fitting, most perfect thing to Billy.
Y/n looked up at him from their hug, “It’s okay.” She muttered standing on her toes to reach his lips and brushed hers against his. Billy leaned lower placing his hands on the side of her face kissing her back.
“Just so you know I am never going to leave you. Ever. I love you Billy.” she smiled as he pulled her into a kiss again muttering the same back.

we weren't shown a lot of how pran was after the separation and so all we talk about is pat turned cold and harsh without pran in his orbit but i think pran's reaction after the kiss was the most telling of how he suffered during that period.
anyone else would be elated their crush of years liked them back but that incident became such a deeply seated trauma for him, his immediate response was to push pat away. he didn't think that they could lie, like he always has, that they could pretend, like they've always had to, that they could hide. he's such a thoughtful, rational person, he keeps his wits about him even when they run away, but in that moment where pat tries to change the natural of their relationship again, he doesn't think he runs away.
bc they've done this before. they tried being smth other than rivals, smth more than strangers. they tried to be just friends. and they were so violently separated. his mother reacted so drastically to him simply sharing a stage w pat. what if she caught him kissing pat just then? what if she noticed the meaning behind their shared gaze? what if found out pat loved him, what then? he lost pat once, he couldn't do it again, especially not now that he knew pat liked him.
i'd say he thought pushing him away would be better bc at least pat would remain in his life even if it was at distance. thou tbh i doubt he was thinking at all. when he ran from pat he wasn't thinking. when pat was banging at his door his thoughts were racing, incoherent strings of memories and emotions. when pat tried talking to him the next day, when pat came to his house, when he gave his guitar away, he wasn't thinking. he was on autopilot, the scar from three years ago reopened and all he was doing was trying to staunch the bleeding. the wound on his heart said: if u let him any closer, u'll lose him forever. and all pran was doing was tending to it, pushing pat as far as he could so he wouldn't have to lose him.
then pat wouldn't give up and followed him all the way to the beachside. there, removed from his mother and having had time to stop the bleeding, pran's head started to clear. there, alone w pat, he finally had space to breathe, to think. after he's pushed pat w all his might, after he's ignored him pretending pat was this insignificant little thing, after he's hurt pat as much as he's hurting, and pat still hadn't given up on him, pran slows down. the autopilot is shutdown, unrequired when he's alone w this boy, he slows down and finally thinks.
that's what u see him do during their impromptu date. bit-by-bit, pran is shedding his guard. bc last night he used his mightiest weapon, he drove it into pat's chest as deep as he possibly could, he thought now pat will give up, now pat will hate him, now things will go back to normal. but pat pops up again the next morning, unrelenting, unfaltering, unchanged. and pran's so relieved he loosens up subconsciously.
then he realizes that he can't do that either. he can't make pat hate him, bc that too would be losing pat forever. he can't take a step forward and its too late to go back, so he calculates his chances and lets pat in little by little. still scared of taking a plunge, still hesitant of rushing into a 'doomed' relationship, he instead uncovers the window to his soul. lets pat see. that he's not indifferent, that he's hurting as much as he hurt him, that he's just scared, petrified. pat understands what this is about and asks him if he hates him for the transfer. pran who knows how frightening the notion of pat hating him is to him says he was only angry.
after that pran continues to let him in, lets pat amble closer. they return back to their previous dynamic, but pran also lets him see he too is disappointed they didn't get to room together. pat obv knew who was the reason he didn't get beat up by the architecture gang that night. and when pat grabbed his arm, pran stayed w him.
now that he was thinking he had his doubts. how true pat's feelings were, how deeply they ran, what about ink? pat answered the former two w his actions and the latter w his words. he offered the bet, and now that pran was thinking he understood what this was about. understood what this meant for pat. for someone who always gets things done immediately to wait for pran, to offer him safe ground pran could back out of anytime, to hold back the confession he's clearly dying to spit. pran understands what it all means, erases any lingering doubts he had about pat's feelings. he needs what pat's offering rn so he takes it, but when finally takes a leap and changes the relationship, pran doesn't look back once.

We don't talk anymore
Characters: Glamrock Freddy
type: Angst with comfort
Gn!Reader
Summary: Nearly a year ago, y/n and glamrock Freddy had a nasty argument, and left on bad terms.
djks idk what it is with me and glamrock fred but i'd gladly take him, bc more than half of the male population do not have the amount of respect he has and a soothing voice-
y/n was looking at the cameras, yet their mind wandered to Freddy. y/n missed him terribly, but they had squabbled nearly a year ago and y/n wasn’t on speaking terms with Freddy anymore.
We don't talk anymore We don't talk anymore
“We don't talk anymore” y/n’s breath was unstable, at the thought they didn’t talk, and it wasn’t the way it was before.
y/n felt tears well up in their eyes, y/n took a deep breath. They did not have the time to get emotional on the job, even if the beating heart yearned to simply apologize. Freddy would probably shut her out, what was the point in trying to fight for it?
he doesn’t care for them anymore, what was it all for? What was the night’s spent together, holding each other? y/n had heard some security guard had managed to befriend him, y/n couldn’t pretend y/n didn’t feel envious of them, but this wasn't anyone else's fault but theirs.
y/n just couldn’t move on, no matter how hard they tried. The moonlight shining into the pizza plex had her thinking of Freddy. Everything made her think of him, but she wonders how y/n couldn’t move on as easily as he moved on.
y/n was tasked to leave their office for once because Vanessa was concerned about the amount of time she spent in her office. Y/n felt everything, his past touches, their conversations together. But now it’s y/n l/n, all alone again. Because she was too proud and got angry at him and shut him out.
She hoped y/n wouldn’t see Freddy tonight because then she might just fall to her knees and cry salty tears. And he’d simply walk past and pity her right? Because this was all her fault, even if she apologized and begged him to stay.
“dammit!” she cursed, stupid friendly bear that she fell so hard for and now. y/n can’t focus on the task at hand.
Regardless she bottled it up because for this patrol past Freddy's dressing room, y/n couldn’t deny the offer of a higher pay this week. y/n speedily headed towards the hall Freddy’s dressing room was in, her heart beating a thousand miles an hour,
She was not aware of it, but she was talking, not to anyone in particular. Then it was just to hope no one could hear her having a mental breakdown, her breathing labored. As she leaned against the wall, she could feel the tears beginning to well up in her eyes.
“I just hope you're lying next to somebody” y/n croaked, hands shaking, y/n couldn’t stand someone else taking care of him, that used to be her job.
“Who knows how to love you like me..” y/n cried silently, tears freely streaming down their soft cheeks, her legs felt weak like she’d never been able to stand up again.
“There must be a good reason that you're gone.” y/n softly sobbed, her tears dampening the sleeve of her shirt, they gripped her pants’ fabric hard enough to turn the knuckles white. y/n knew saying this was not going to bring him back, but perhaps y/n hoped he would be nearby and hear how much in the dumps she is without him.
“Every now and then I think you might want me to..” y/n began sobbing quietly, unfortunately, she couldn’t keep the noise down, she slid down to the floor. “Come show up at your door” y/n softly nearly whispered, tugging on her hair tightly, she wanted to feel something else than sadness, regret, and so many other sad things. "But I'm just too afraid that I'll be wrong” y/n finally admitted, but it was too late now. Was it not? Too late for apologies and too late to win him back.
y/n was clueless about it but someone large slid down next to her, it was all so unbearable that she couldn’t feel the metal body sitting next to her. Or she was pretending not to notice that he was there at all.
“We don’t talk anymore.” y/n said, eyes puffy and red from bawling her eyes out, and y/n sniffles.
“F-Freddy..” y/n gasped in surprise but then avoid his gaze, wiping the tears away with the sleeve of the security guard uniform shirt, and all y/n could think about was what he must think of y/n now. y/n was definitely not mentally stable, and he must’ve seen it all by now.
“I forgive you..” he cupped her cheeks’ his gaze soft on the sad human before him. y/n couldn’t understand why he forgave them, I mean y/n did hurt him. y/n never meant to, but y/n really doesn’t deserve such kind treatment.
“But I hurt you.” y/n protested against Freddy’s words,
“You may have hurt me, but you did not mean it.” Freddy’s touch calmed the sadness, panic, all of it really, y/n’s lips curved into a soft, silly, smile.
“Besides you’ll always be my superstar”

Hello! I saw your request were open, so I'll give it a try, I hope it doesn't bother you<3
Anyway, I was thinking about Freddy, Monty And Sun (I don't know if you have a limit of characters, so if it's a problem just Freddy and Monty) with a gn! Reader who is very tall.
Like, the animatronics are aprox. 7"0 (2 meters and probably more) and they're really used to children and adults who don't really can't look them in the face unless they look up. And one day, they meet the reader, who can actually look them right in the eyes bc of their height of 6"3.
I like to imagine the animatronics really excited and confused by having someone so tall like them!
But anyway, If this too complicated to write I understand! Thank you and sorry if I misspelled anything, English isn't my first lenguage
- ♡
Tumblr media
Just let us adore you! ____________________ A/n: This is so sweet! You did amazing, I also feel you on that English is far from my first language too <3 Warnings: None! Mild cursing maybe but other than that it's pure fluff here!! ____________________
Any other day you'd put up with this, hell you could be on the deathbed and willing to help out but for some odd reason, tonight wasn't it. You'd been called in by your boss to fill in for Vanessa at the PizaPlex something you'd never done since the woman was constantly working even when sick and truly admired her for that. You worked the day shift security guard who worked mainly at the front whilst the bots went elsewhere doing their own thing never truly introducing yourself to any of them. So when being assigned this so suddenly after going home and washing up really peeved you off as you'd begrudgingly put on your freshly washed uniform back on and take the 30-minute walk to your place of employment Opening the doors at 12:30 and walking in locking the damn things behind you waiting for the ticking time-bomb to fully let the shutters fall eventually. Picking up where you hoped Vanessa fell off you'd take the time paper and lock in to start your shift and walk around checking over inventory and possible property damage.
____________________________________________________________
Glamrock Freddy
➤ When he'd first seen you it was odd, where did Vanessa go? he wasn't made aware that she wasn't going to be here. ➤ Didn't notice how huge you were at first since you'd been quite a ways away but once he'd walked over to give a friendly greeting the animatronic froze when you'd met his gaze ➤ Absolutely smitten here and now, felt super fuzzy and just generally thought you looked lovely ➤ Has to avert his gaze since he's not used to people being able to stare directly at him? ➤ Manages to lose his cool and has to walk off before coming back later and giving an apology ➤ Enjoys your company more than Vanessa from how kind you are! Didn't take any stress out on him despite your shoulders being pressed uptight and your smile thin from stress ➤ Is your personal guide, shows you around despite clearly being security, a pretty good stress break!
Monty Gator
➤ Oh, man... Monty is well. Let's say he wasn't the one closed off about how tall you were. ❝ Lovely seein' ya sugar, don't even have t' raise 'yer chin to see them lovely eyes ain't that right? ❞ ➤ Literally super flirtatious about it and more playful with his comments ➤ What can I say Monty is a sucker for anyone with a pretty smile and yours can be seen without much effort ➤ Corners you against the wall at some point to flirt with you only to get shoved away so you can do your damn job for fucks sake ➤ Weirdly liked that so afterward he just follows you around for an hour or two of your shift giving shitty pick-up lines ➤ Called you mamas at some point whether you're a guy or not, just god he's such a stuck up prick but in the nicest way possible ➤ You had given so many scoldings to Monty at the property damage done around the building since you had to record all of it down and who caused it ➤ made him a bit sheepish and rubbed the back of his neck and made a promise to not do it again ➤ Kept doing it anyways </3

I'm a starving Wujiu simp- can I request number 18 from the NSFW list for Fan Wujiu (black guard). Good job on 100 followers!
It took me so long to write it bc i couldn't bring myself to finish this but i hope you will enjoy
18 - "you won't be able to walk tomorrow when im through with you"
warnings: nsfw, unprotected sex
It really didn't take much to make Fan frustrated and pent up, and you knew how to take advantage of that. During a duo hunters match, you could feel his eyes glazing over your body, and you knew what that kind of look meant. If not for other people around, you knew he could take you then and there.
You got assured you were, in fact, correct when you felt his hands brush near your lower back as he whispered into your ear, "You won't be able to walk tomorrow when I'm through with you." A shiver went through your body as you felt his warm breath on the back of your neck. He quickly backed off, not wanting anyone to notice your little interaction.
You were left flustered as your mind wandered about what's going to happen after this match, which Fan greatly enjoyed. He loved to leave you wondering and excited, smirking while looking at your reaction from afar. Your questions were soon answered when the black guard suddenly appeared in your room shortly after the match ended.
He quickly pulled you into a kiss closing the door behind him. His hands wandered as he basically pushed you onto the bed before sitting on your lap.
"Excited?" Fan asked while smirking.
"Oh, shut up." You mumbled as your face turned red. He chuckled in response before coming down to your neck.
You ran your fingers through his hair as you threw your head back, giving him full access to your neck. With kisses, he was leaving occasional red bite marks. After some time, he moved away, seemingly to admire his work before taking your shirt off.
As you pulled him in another kiss, your hands reached down to his pants before unbuckling them, which resulted in Fan laughing.
"Patience dear." He took your hands away to what you groaned in disappointment. He always took his sweet time with you, to the point it felt like torture. Fan chuckled at your response as he continued to mark your body.
He moved lower and lower to the point he reached your lower garments. He hooked his fingers behind the band of your pants before taking them swiftly off, now leaving you only in underwear, but instead of giving some attention to your more sensitive parts, he avoided them, making you let out a disappointed yelp.
Instead, he focused on your thighs, covering them in hickeys. You kept raising your hips up and moving against him, being desperate for any kind of friction, but to your disappointment, he only pushed you back down.
"When did you become so impatient?" Fan hummed, clearly focused on his work. He loved your body, and he could mark it for hours on end. He admired it and was completely obsessed with it, as well as making you feel good, so when he finally thought you had enough, he got back to your crotch.
He took off your underwear as you sighed in relief, but you knew Fan wasn't done with preparing when you felt him prodding your hole with his finger. You moaned in response before pushing your hips up, giving him better access to your lower parts, enjoying this feeling.
Without hesitation, he added another finger as you moaned once again. Even though it felt good, you wanted something bigger, as you felt your frustration grew. You didn't need all of this and just wanted him to finally fuck.
You thought he understood your desperation as he quickly got rid of the rest of his clothes before bringing you closer to him. Fan pulled you into another kiss as he pushed his length against your entrance. You sharply inhaled as he moved deeper while you pushed your nails into his arms. In the begining, he was gentle with you making sure you were ready and moving slow but, quickly your frustration grew.
"Faster." You moaned absent-mindedly, and to your surprise, he obligated, picking up pace. You threw your head back once again, moaning his name and pushing your nails into his skin.
It didn't take long your you to reach your climax as you basically screamed his name. When your mind cleared as your orgasm passed, you pulled him into a passionate kiss. You looked into his eyes before asking.
"Want another round?"

here are the rest of the 16 songs!!! i literally spent so much time doing this and some may say it is a waste of time but someone had to do it and do here ya go! again, @coneyluke inspired the whole train of taylor and @burst-of-iridescent made me wanna do it all over again haha.
part 1 | part 2 | part 3
The Way I Loved You
"He is sensible and so incredible/And all my single friends are jealous/He says everything I need to hear/And it's like I couldn't ask for anything better/He opens up my door and I get into his car/And he says, 'You look beautiful tonight'/And I feel perfectly fine"
i know a lot of people view this as a song about a toxic relationship and that's totally valid, but to me it's about actually feeling something and i think it works well for zutara. a*ng should be enough for katara-- she couldn't ask for anything better he's the avatar! but katara is just going through the motions.
"But I miss screaming and fighting and kissing in the rain/And it's 2:00 a.m. and I'm cursing your name/So in love that you act insane/And that's the way I loved you/Breakin' down and coming undone/It's a roller coaster kinda rush/And I never knew I could feel that much/And that's the way I loved you"
this first two lines have angry western air temple crush katara energy. she definitely was up at night cursing zuko for being pretty or whatever. and uhmm... acting insane works bc like jumping in front of lightning is pretty crazy and then forgetting about the person who shot the lightning is also pretty wild. breakin down is the catacombs and that moment we all know happened after katara confronted yon rha in "the southern raiders" where zuko was just suddenly comforting her when her adrenaline wore off. it just wasn't ever really hate that katara felt for zuko and it was just so strong and she didn't know it could be like that.
"He can't see the smile I'm faking/And my heart's not breaking/'Cause I'm not feeling anything at all/And you were wild and crazy/Just so frustrating, intoxicating, complicated/Got away by some mistake"
i love a*ng but he isn't exactly the most observant when it comes to katara's feelings lol. anyways, katara feels awful bc she's thinking that she should be upset that she isn't in love with a*ng but she just doesn't and that's even worse. she just can't stop comparing it to how much she felt around/for zuko and it's driving her crazy and she just wants it back and she lost it bc she just ignored it and went along with the flow, what she was "supposed" to do. katara didn't ever truly want to be the avatar's girl but she did it bc it was the expectation and she just regrets it.
Back to December
"Your guard is up and I know why"
oooo we got ourselves more western air temple zutara.
"Because the last time you saw me/Is still burned in the back of your mind"
The crystal catacombs are burned into the back or katara's mind and its why she can't trust zuko and also its burned and our boy zuko is a firebender like what else do you want me to say about?
"So this is me swallowin' my pride/Standin' in front of you sayin' I'm sorry for that night/And I go back to December all the time/It turns out freedom ain't nothin' but missin' you/Wishin' I'd realized what I had when you were mine/I'd go back to December, turn around and make it alright"
zuko having that moment where he takes a moment before he goes to apologize and join the gaang. he thought about the catacombs every single day and he thought it would be everything he wanted but it wasn't and now he just wants to have that same vulnerability he was able to have with katara before.
"These days, I haven't been sleepin'/Stayin' up playin' back myself leavin'"
he literally wasn't sleeping well in the fire nation lol like yeah he was definitely cursing himself for leaving.
"And then the cold came, the dark days/When fear crept into my mind/You gave me all your love and all I gave you was goodbye"
i would count azula as the cold and zuko feared this would be the only home and then katara put all her faith in zuko and he just gave her a goodbye.
"I miss your tan skin, your sweet smile/So good to me, so right/And how you held me in your arms that/September night/The first time you ever saw me cry/Maybe this is wishful thinkin'/Probably mindless dreamin'/But if we loved again, I swear I'd love you right"
uhhnmm tanned skin and sweet smile!? best girl katara?! i certainly think so and again just the vulnerability of the catacombs that zuko really regrets losing and zuko knows he probably can't get it back but he is gonna do his best and if he gets it he's never gonna let it go.
"I'd go back in time and change it, but I can't/So if the chain is on your door, I understand"
if zuko could he absolutely would. the moment he made that choice he regretted it on some level, but he does understand why katara can't trust him.
If This Was A Movie
"Last night I heard my own heart beating/Sounded like footsteps on my stairs/Six months gone and I'm still reaching/Even though I know you're not there/I was playing back a thousand memories, baby/Thinking 'bout everything we've been through/Maybe I've been going back too much lately/When time stood still and I had you"
i always imagine that while katara is healing aang she has a bunch of quiet time to herself and she just can't stop thinking about zuko. she just really wishes he'd come with her and thinking about how different everything would be with him and how understood she felt in the catacombs with him. she just can't stop and it's driving her a little crazy.
"I know people change and these things happen/But I remember how it was back then/Locked up in your arms and our friends were laughing/'Cause nothing like this ever happened to them/Now I'm pacing up the hall, chasing down your street/Flashback to a night when you said to me/Nothing's gonna change, not for me and you/Not before I knew how much I had to lose"
this makes me think that katara told the others about her experience with zuko and they were all just kind of like "haha zuko is evil" and she's just kind of like "yeah..." but feeling like there really was something there and it's bothering her that she can't just condemn him. katara still thinks nothing will change but she can't help feeling like she could've convinced him somehow.
"If you're out there/If you're somewhere/If you're moving on/I'll be waiting for you/Wary, since you've been gone/I just want it back the way it was before/And I just want to see you back at my front door"
i think that there would've been a small window of time where katara was half hoping zuko would suddenly show up out of the blue and tell her he made a mistake and he was sorry. she would tell herself that it wasn't going to ever happen and she grow the angry shell we see later on, but for a small period of time, she's just wishing zuko was with her.
"Come back, come back, come back to me like/You would before you said it's not that easy/Before the fight, before I locked you out/But I take it all back now"
this feels like a different timing than the rest of the song to me! it feels like zuko coming back and asking forgiveness and he's like "pls im sorry" and katara is like "it isn't that easy anymore" and he's just so frustrated with himself for locking her out and he just wishes he could undo his choice.
"Is that the kind of ending you wanna see now?/Baby, I don't like the ending/Oh, I thought you'd be here now"
again, katara has that small window where she wants zuko to come back and she doesn't like how things are and she just wants him with her bc of their connection in the catacombs. they just clicked and she felt understood and is thinking that maybe if he was there, a*ng wouldn't be like half-dead. it's not the ending she wanted when she offered zuko the spirit water.
State of Grace
"We are alone with our changing minds/We fall in love 'til it hurts or bleeds, or fades in time"
zutara after the war and they have changing mind and they're changing the future and and they are the ride or die kind of lovers.
"And I never (never)/Saw you coming/And I'll never (never)/Be the same"
i really don't think katara imagine in a thousand years that she would be dating the fire lord lol and they both definitely get to grow and change for the better with each other.
"You come around and the armor falls/Pierce the room like a cannonball/Now all we know is don't let go"
literally the crystal catacombs. i know i keep talking about it but literally zuko walks in (or is thrown in whichever) and then we've got our girl falling apart at the seams and in that moment they were like just hanging onto each other for deal life. not literally but ya know or at least i hope you know lol.
"Up in your room and our slates are clean/Just twin fire signs, four blue eyes"
i love the clean slate line. zuko and katara just totally have a fresh slate after "the southern raiders" and also the twin fire signs and four blue eyes makes me think of zutara with their steambaby! adorable <3
"So you were never a saint/And I've loved in shades of wrong/We learn to live with the pain/Mosaic broken hearts/But this love is brave and wild"
zuko was definitely never a saint lol and katara loving in shades of wrong sounds like her little vengeance move in "the southern raiders" and liking jet and just the mistakes she's made because of love or for love. they've learned to live with their pasts and who they are and pieced themselves together and they each think the other has a beautiful mosaic heart. and their love is brave bc they're gonna fight the whole fire nation to stay together and it's kind of a wild card kinda thing.
"This is a state of grace/This is the worthwhile fight/Love is a ruthless game/Unless you play it good and right/These are the hands of fate/You're my Achilles heel/This is the golden age of something good and right and real"
zutara is a worthwhile fight!!! they've experienced the ruthlessness love can have with m/ai and jet and it is low key fate they've met at all. they're leading everyone into a new golden era and zuko literally got hit with lightning for katara bc azula knew it would be his weakness and katara literally forgot about azula for like half a second to try to save zuko! it's amazing i love them.
I Knew You Were Trouble
"Once upon a time, a few mistakes ago/I was in your sights, you got me alone"
i am such a broken record but again katara thinking about what happened in the catacombs and thinking about trusting him was a huge mistake she never should have made.
"And when I fell hard you took a step back/Without me, without me, without me"
she trusted him completely and then he just joined azula!!! how dare he!!!
"And he's long gone when he's next to me/And I realize the blame is on me"
she's going through that whole "he was tricking me the whole time" and "he lied to me and used my mother against me!!!" and is blaming herself for putting faith in him.
"'Cause I knew you were trouble when you walked in/So shame on me now"
lol the way she says zuko when he tumbles into the catacombs is so funny bc she sounds half-shocked that he's there and half-relieved that someone is with her and then just scowls at him.
"Pretends he doesn't know that he's the reason why/You're drowning, you're drowning, you're drowning/Now I heard you moved on from whispers on the street/A new notch in your belt is all I'll ever be/And now I see, now I see, now I see"
zuko comes back and she's all like "nO you helped hurt my friend and you went back to the fire nation! you moved on to 'better things' and you used my feelings against me!" or something like that.
"He was long gone when he met me/And I realize the joke is on me, hey!"
again she's just like blaming herself for making a bad choice in the catacombs.
"And the saddest fear comes creeping in/That you never loved me or her, or anyone, or anything,"
katara still holds that little hope she's trying to ignore that zuko was being honest about his mother. it was nice to know someone like her and if that wasn't real she would be distraught, so she just tries to pretend that it doesn't exist.
I Almost Do
"I bet/This time of night you're still up/I bet/You're tired from a long hard week/I bet/You're sittin' in your chair by the window/Looking out at the city/And I bet/Sometimes you wonder 'bout me"
this song is one of my personal favorites and has been since like... idek but it's been one of my favorites since i was younger in the like around the 1989 era, but that's not the point. this about zutara not me.
this has the energy of tragic post-war zutara. neither of them made the first move and they're each at home thinking about the other and wondering if the other felt the same way they did.
"And I just wanna tell you/It takes everything in me not to call you/And I wish I could run to you/And I hope you know that every time I don't/I almost do"
they both attend peace summits and such and run into each other and just pretend that everything is totally fine and good and that they're not secretly dying to shout about how much they love the other. it's so sad guys </3
"I bet/You think I either moved on or hate you/'Cause each time you reach out there's no reply/I bet/It never ever occurred to you/That I can't say "Hello" to you/And risk another goodbye"
zuko starts dating m/ai to get his council off his back and katara thinks she'll be fine but can't stand it bc she doesn't know its like "fake" and just stops talking to him and stops showing up at things zuko will be at to try to make it easier on herself. zuko is heartbroken and he tries to talk to her and send her letters and he asks sokka about it who just has no idea what's going on and it's just a mess and making me sad.
"Oh, we made quite a mess, babe/It's probably better off this way/And I confess, babe/In my dreams you're touching my face/And asking me if I wanna try again with you/And I almost do"
katara spends time thinking about all the ideas they had and all the fights they went through to get them approved and how they've fought together improve the world but it's for the best if she wasn't with zuko bc the fire nation isn't ready for someone like her and she's terrified that if she ever sees him again her resolve will crumble and she'll be confessing and a disaster.
"I bet/This time of night you're still up/I bet/You're tired from a long hard week/I bet/You're sittin' in your chair by the window/Looking out at the city/And I hope/Sometimes you wonder 'bout me"
same thoughts as beginning but it's both of them hoping that the other is thinking about them.
i'd like to think that one day zuko has enough and he pulls a surprise visit to the south pole and demands to know why she hates him and what he can do to fix it bc all she has to do is name it and it's done. katara just does exactly what she was afraid of and confesses to everything and he's like "that's it???" and then he kisses her or somethin and they're happy bc i am incapable of dealing with sad endings lol
Coney Island
this the song i am maybe the most excited about bc it has been setting off my zutara vibe detector for so long.
"Break my soul in two looking for you/But you're right here"
they're both looking for the one and they get with a*ng and m/ai bc they think that's it and they both realize it's been each other the whole time. ofc it's when they think it's a little too late.
"And if this is the long haul/How'd we get here so soon?/Did I close my fist around something delicate?/Did I shatter you?"
and they just don't get how they've realized that they're looking for the other exactly so quickly. they expected to have to explore it further but they just know that zutara is for them. they both spend so much time thinking about how stupid they were for not choosing zutara and worry that they've ruined their chances and that they've broken the other's heart.
"And I'm sitting on a bench in Coney Island/Wondering, "Where did my baby go?"/The fast times, the bright lights, the merry-go/Sorry for not making you my centerfold"
fun fact you can replace "i'm sitting on a bench at coney island" with "i'm sitting on the dock at ember island" and i do that sometimes when i'm singing alone in my car. but yes they just kind of sit down and think about their time on ember island before the end of the war and regretting again just not choosing each other.
"Over and over/Lost again with no surprises/Disappointments close your eyes/And it gets colder and colder/When the sun goes down"
they just keep missing each other and also!!! the sun going down?!?! zuko is the sun and he's leaving and katara is cold i will not be swayed.
"The question pounds my head/What's a lifetime of achievement/If I pushed you to the edge/But you were too polite to leave me?"
zuko wondering what his achievements even mean if he just pushed katara away when that's that's what he wanted and just if she only stayed around him was bc she was trying to be nice and keep things together and he just-- crisis time guys.
"Will you forgive my soul/When you're too wise to trust me and too old to care?"
forgiveness is big in zutara like we are all suckeres for the ember island forgiveness hug. i know, you know it, we all know it makes us weak. but forgiveness forever in zutara?? excellent even tho it's kinda sad...
"'Cause we were like the mall before the internet/It was the one place to be"
this is one i can't exactly explain but it feels right. zutara was just good and they loved their time together and just wish they could go back to that time even tho it's passed them by.
"Were you waiting at our old spot/In the tree line, by the gold clock?/Did I leave you hanging every single day?"
after all the peace meetings and such they would meet in a spot and talk. they always went there afterwards, but zuko can't get there afterwards bc he's so swamped and katara is stuck waiting endlessly for him to show up. very sad.
"Did I paint your bluest skies the darkest gray?"
not zuko making katara sad bc she's associated with blue. it's all i can think of when it comes to this line.
"And when I got into the accident/The sight that flashed before me was your face/But when I walked up to the podium/I think that I forgot to say your name"
thESE liNEs drive me wild. zuko having an assassination attempt and katara is just flashing through his mind even though she's literally not there and he can see everything he could've had with her and he's just a mess bc he knows he should've seen m/ai in that moment and everything they would’ve missed out on had it been fatal but he didn't.
katara just wishes she'd had the strength to walk up to zuko, fire lord zuko, and tell him everything she knows now bc he's what she's been wanting and searching for all along but it's too late now and she's stuck with her choices and is just going along bc it doesn't feel like it matters who she's with if it isn't zuko.
again, i like to think they do confess and figure things out bc i can't do sad endings, but my favorite way they do confess is that zuko goes to tell katara about what happened with assassination attempt and ask her if he's going crazy and before he can actually say anything she just says it all and everything about how she's feeling bc she can't keep it in anymore and he's like "oh okay bc i was worried i was literally losing it" and then they're happy <3

Is it possible for a Baal x Reader where they have feelings for each other but doesn't tell and Reader was set up for an arrange marriage that Reader has no choice but to accept and Baal heard it from Sara and Baal just swoops in and gets Reader? (Baal gets reader in disguised or not your choice...)
it is possible anon,,, ty for the req <3
uh,, more hc bc something happened n i don't want to write a full fic dskjs apologies anon,,
req rules/info
baal x gn!reader warnings: arranged marriage trope, baal carries the reader for a bit, one forehead kiss, god this is so cliche, written before baal's release, grammar + spelling mistakes, lowercase writing, tell me if i forgot any description: baal had fallen for you ages ago, and her feelings still stand now. she learns of your arranged marriage from sara, so she plans to save you herself. word count: 670
Tumblr media
baal had been interested in you for a long time, it was a secret she had kept to herself for just as long. she adored you truly. the both of you were good friends and known each other for a long time.
unknown to baal, you had also grown feelings for her as well. you adored every second of being around her and meeting with her. even if it had to be kept a secret from your family and potential enemies of the shogun, you wanted to be with her.
but your family had different plans.
and when she had received news from her trusted guard sara, she couldn't be more upset. (yes she could be) the news of your arranged marriage wasn't too shocking, someone of your status would be married to someone. that doesn't mean it didn't make her mad.
"you may leave now," baal said.
"yes ma'am, is there anything you need?" sara asked.
"do you have any extra clothes?"
yes, it was reckless, especially for the shogun herself, to plan on taking you away from the marriage. either way, baal already had a plan on how to get you out of the situation.
Tumblr media
a few nights later, you had waited inside of your room for something to happen. it was a ritual of sorts for you to do each night. to wait and wait for something to change. you didn't want to go with someone a didn't know. at your status you were aware this might've been an expected thing, but you wanted to reject it entirely.
if anything, you'd rather want to be with baal. even if the thought of her liking you like that felt outlandish, you couldn't help but dream. the thought of it was nice. if only it could become true.
the knock at your window shook you from your thoughts. you stood from your desk and walked to the window.
"baal?" you asked, stunned.
"are you alright?" baal asked.
"are you? are you even supposed to be here, don't you have like.. archon-y things to do or something?"
"the only thing i have to do is take you back. take these-" she handed you a bundle of clothes "-and change quickly. i'd hate to see you get in more trouble."
you gave a quick nod and closed the window quickly to change into a disguise. why was baal here? sure you two were friends but she couldn't be that bothered by an arranged marriage of sorts. was there more? were you just overthinking?
the window opened again as baal held her hand out to you. you grabbed her hand with your shaky one, panicked from what could happen next.
baal lifts you from your feet and jumps down to the ground. she immediately started running from your town all the way to her grand castle. even once you get there, she didn't seem a bit out of breath.
she put you onto the ground as the both of you entered.
"baal."
the shogun looked at you as you both navigated through the large place.
"why did you do this for me? and what will happen with my family.. and the town?"
"i can work on what will happen to your family and the town. as for you, i couldn't stand you being with someone you didn't love."
a door opened a rather nice room, slightly plain due to it being largely undecorated, but it looked nice at least.
"thank you, for everything."
"anything for you, my dear."
baal kissed your forehead and smiled as you stood shocked in front of her.
"we can talk more in the morning. there might be somethings we should discuss after all."
you cleared your throat and nodded, watching as baal's figure disappeared. tomorrow's conversation would have many things you wanted to discuss. at least you could feel the least bit happy from the stressful night that baal, the one you truly loved, had liked you back after all.
maybe your dream had come true then...?

Thoughts on writing something where Bryan is only obsessed with Danny bc Bryan is into Yuta and is jealous that Danny and Yuta are A Thing?
ranger requests [ anon, yes i have thoughts ]
tw: obsessive compulsive disorder, bryan has ocd
It rubbed Bryan the wrong way. Most things did but this...this bothered him. For months he had been going after that asshole kid Garcia, and yes there was so much potential. That had little to do with why Bryan was obsessed with Daniel Garcia.
Instead it was the way Garcia and Wheeler interacted. In ring, in promos, backstage, in interviews. It's so obvious that it causes Bryan physical pain. Everyone else was oblivious which just fed into Bryan's obsession with Wheeler and Garcia. It started after Garcia had left that huge bite mark on Wheeler. Something in that match broke something loose in Bryan.
Bryan wanted Wheeler so bad. At first he couldn't figure out why Wheeler wasn't actually fucking Mox, then Claudio. But he wasn't. The youngest member of the stable had flirted with both but quietly, politely declined. The flirting Bryan did was Wheeler was in the ring, in training, and Wheeler never quietly, or politely declined him.
Then there was Garcia. Bryan couldn't figure it out so he obsessed over it. Normally Bryan didn't use twitter, instagram, or his phone much in general, but he made up a fake account each place to follow Garcia. Had spent many sleepless nights scrolling through every post Garcia made to find tidbits of Wheeler, to affirm this relationship. And eventually Bryan just found himself obsessed with both boys.
Bryan started going after Garcia more and more. Started shutting out Wheeler more too. If Wheeler wasn't going to be honest with Bryan then Bryan would get it out of either of them the hard way.
After the interview with Renee, Bryan thought maybe he had unlocked something as he walked back to the locker room. Wheeler was angry that Garcia was obsessed with Bryan now, and that Bryan didn't seem to pay any attention to him anymore. This was maybe Bryan's shot.
As soon as the door swung open Wheeler was on Bryan. Strong hands weaved into the blue mountings on Bryan's sweater and threw him to the hard floor, making Bryan slide into some benches from the force of him. The rest of the team scattered, shouting expletives as Bryan was put down. No one could stop Wheeler as he mounted Bryan and started reigning punches down. There was shouting from everyone. Someone got hold of Wheeler's hand which gave Bryan enough of an opening to move into a full guard before flipping them and carefully climbing off Wheeler. Everyone was quiet now.
"Fuck you, Bryan!" Wheeler shouted from the floor as Bryan spat blood onto the concrete. "What the hell is your problem?!"
Bryan didn't answer as he looked around at his mentor and friends then down at Wheeler who was slowly getting off the floor. Regal seemed to understand something that Bryan did not and ushered the others away.
"Are you kidding? They're gonna kill each other!" Mox grunted as Regal shoved him out the door.
"That's why we will be waiting just outside. If we are needed we will come back inside." Regal spoke like he had to explain this to a toddler as the door closed behind them.
"What's your fucking problem?" Wheeler was in Bryan's face. "You don't think I belong here? That he deserves it more?!" Wheeler was yelling now. "I'm better than Danny! I know he has my title, Bryan, our title, but just give me a chance! I'll get it back."
"This has nothing to do with the title." Bryan said coldly. The blood Wheeler drew trickled down into his beard from the split in his lip.
"Then what, Bryan, then what?!" Wheeler grabbed at his shirt again but this time it wasn't to throw the older man. It was desperate as Wheeler tugged. "This is driving me crazy. I don't mean in a fun way either. I can't sleep or eat, I fuckin---" Wheeler had to take a few deep breathes. "If I just understood what was wrong I could fix it."
"You can't fix it. I'm not going to ask you to break up with Garcia for me, Wheeler." Bryan admitted. It was out there now. The weight of Wheeler's despair too much for Bryan.
"What?" Wheeler stepped back a few paces.
"You heard me, Wheeler." Bryan tucked his hands into his pockets, not bothering to brush away the blood still trickling.
"Bryan." Wheeler sounded more angry than Bryan had ever heard him.
"What?" Bryan tried his best to keep his voice neutral.
"I've never once dated, fucked, or kissed Daniel Garcia." Wheeler growled out, his words sounding like gravel in a wood chipper.
"...what?" Bryan looked completely shocked. He was so sure. He knew. He...he'd seen. Something? Stuff? Bryan swallowed the lump in his throat.
"You fucking heard me." Wheeler snapped as he grabbed his things.
"You guys aren't...?" Bryan licked the blood off his lip. The copper taste grounding him.
"Nope. Never have, never would have." Wheeler shoved Bryan to get past even though there was plenty of space to walk. "Don't fucking talk to me Bryan. I don't want anything to do with you anymore."
Bryan was still staggered by Wheeler's shove when those words bounced around the empty room, and Wheeler left.
Wheeler was gone.
