Weird Yutu thingy but what if Yuu came from the Pokemon world
I believe the support system in the Pokemon world is much better than Earth so-
Single parent with a raging teen-
Add some emotional support Pokemon
And when Yutu comes to his parent's timeline Yuu gets so excited to see new Pokemon (that love them for some reason. Almost as though they were their first trainer-)
Oh Yuu and Yutu would be in such a better place if they came from the pokemon world. Yuu gets a house with a bunch of neighbors and nearby a lab and no one really cares about not knowing who Yutu's dad is.
The pokemon part is a bit trickey though... would they remember Twisted Wonderland? Probably, I couldn't see the magic marshal's keeping the pokemon? But I could also see one of Yuu's team staying with Yutu's dad by accident. Maybe it helps keep the boys who remain alive that much more sane, maybe it stands reluctant guard nearby where the phantom resides, unable to think of anything else to do until it sees Yutu and gets some of its old energy back. This whole ayuu is based off of Fire Emblem Awakening so I have to mention Cherche and her wyvern Minerva... her son Gerome takes up his mother's mount and brings her back in time with him, it's how she recognizes him even before he shows her the wedding ring... perhaps something similar happened with Yutu where he has one of your pokemon and you just know that he's lying to you even before you know he's your son (Gerome's supports with his dad made me so mad because I always S ranked Cherche and Libra because Libra actually learns to speak wyvern in their support chain but that's not reflected in his support with Gerome because it's generic and i wanted to scream every time i read iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. I sort of based Jade! Yutu's attitude towards his dad on those supports though)
But back to nicer thoughts, I always struggle with pokemon aus because half of it is just assigning the pokemon, and then I get super caught up in what region everyone is from and just bleh
Riddle! Yutu has to have a Roselia right? It just makes sense, maybe he has the shiny stone for the evolution all ready to go but it was the last present Yuu ever gave him so he's reluctant to use it. Maybe, if you want some extra angst, when he comes to Twisted Wonderland he still just has a budew because he's not super into pokemon battles but he struggles to raise the friendship level enough for budew to evolve once he's there. He's so upset about losing his parent and budew is trying their best tm but it's not enough until they see Overblot Riddle and finally get on the same wavelength.
The triplets... one of them has to have a Fidough that's just a given. I was tempted to say they all have one? But I like the idea of Yushi having a Swirlix since she's more into candymaking. That's 2/3 fairy types so I was scrolling looking for another one when I saw Sinistea and went "oh that would be cute and the perfect fit for a cafe themed se-" and then I realized I could give that to Yutres. Could. For funsies. But it makes much more sense and is less cruel to give her a Milcery. So Yutu gets Fidough, Yutres gets Milcery, and Yushi gets Swirlix for a cute little fairy cafe set.
Cater! Yutu is trickey, he's big on mindfulness and I was really tempted to give him my favorite pokemon because of that, but he also really likes music... I feel like psychic pokemon sort of fits his vibe? And I am torn between Chimecho and Espurr. Espurr is supposed to have difficulty controlling its power, so maybe Chimecho and Yutu could have been focused on helping one out. Cater is super underrated so why shouldn't I give his Yutu two pokemon, it'd be very cute.
Ace! Yutu is pikachu coded to me <3 They would fight so much because both pikachu and Yutu are little brats but once they get in sync watch out they're super scary. Easily the pokemon most excited to see Yuu again... perhaps all that ego clashing is just something that happened in Yuu's world because pika and Yutu bonded while grieving Yuu. Maybe Yutu never evolves his pikachu because that's how Yuu gave it to him. Maybe Pikachu doesn't want to evolve because that's how Yuu left it.
Deuce! Yutu... there aren't any explicitly chicken pokemon outside of maybe Moltres but there is Togepi who is an egg. Baby Yutu loves his bestest friend in the whole wide world, Delinquent Yutu is sort of embarrassed by them. After he catches a houndoor he stops actively using them in battle... he doesn't hate Togi, he just doesn't let anyone in his gang see them and gets really violent with anyone who might try to hurt them. Probably defends fairy types any chance he gets before stammering out some sort of excuse trying to play it off as someone else's opinions. Maybe his boys catch on and one of them gets the idea that maybe they could like... start using impidimps. Make Grimmsnarl the icon of the gang instead of Houndoom, just cause you know maybe fairies are kinda neat maybe. they all want it to be togi instead please boss we made them a little biker jacket isn't it so cu- i mean badass?
Leona! Yutu is loved by cats and he loves naps. Litleo feels like the most thematic pokemon for him, maybe they were napping under a tree one day and a Munchlax decided to follow him home because sleeping on Leona! Yutu was actually pretty warm and Yuu makes the best snacks. His dad probably didn't appreciate the correlation between him and his son's pokemon but as I have said before, he's very much that dad who doesn't want the cat but ends up asleep on the couch with it in his lap two days later. Except this time it's him feeding all his vegetables to Munchlax.
Ruggie! Yutu is my little dandelion prince so he gets a Hoppip. I like the idea of him coming home with one stuck in his hair and they've been best friends ever since. He feels like the one most likely to take over training Yuu's team, if he had continued living in your world I don't think he would have become a trainer. He would have been happy to have a normal job and maybe never evolve his pokemon, but he doesn't regret taking on the role of trainer in the bad future. It gives him a lot of self confidence.
Jack! Yutu... I will bestow him the honor of giving him one of my favorite pokemon. He gets Cacnea because Yuu remembers that Jack liked succulents. Yutu is very serious about taking care of him and making sure he has the best possible habitat at home. Cacnea is under the impression it is doing the same for Yutu and Yuu, but the stubby little hands it has make helping with chores difficult.
It's really tempting to give all of the Octatrio kids water type pokemon, maybe left over memories from Twisted Wonderland make Yuu think that would be a good idea. But I want to give Azul! Yutu a Clobbopus sosososososo bad. It's such a cute pokemon and I think Yutu would agree that his pokemon is super cute. So does everyone in Savanaclaw much to his annoyance, it's like his pokemon is the dorm leader and not him.
Jade! Yutu feels like a Mareanie guy. Water type since he's a merfolk, poison type because that's pretty punk rock, and it looks just enough like a mushroom to be thematic. I could see one of Yuu's pokemon staying in Twisted Wonderland with Jade... a Shiinotic who helps him at the bar and is the best cared for mushroom out there that Yutu is envious. Why does his parent's pokemon love his dad so much? Why won't it agree to come with him into the past where you are still alive because it insists on staying with Jade, saying that's what you would want?
Floyd! Yutu's favorite pokemon ever since he was a little boy was Sharpedo. He asked, suspiciously politely, to be given one when he was old enough to get his trainer's license. He even made a power point, how cute! The answer was still no, instead Yuu convinces the lab near by their house to take Yutu on as one of those trainers with a pokedex who goes on a journey to collect all the gym badges. He really likes being a trainer, probably would have been the annoying rival to his next door neighbor, definitely picked whatever pokemon was strongest against whatever they picked. He still catches his Carvanha and doesn't hold it against Yuu for not giving it to him, he thinks that was probably for the best.
Kalim! Yutu deserves a Whooper. It's cute, the little face is always smiling and Whooper and Quagsire are such joyful little guys I think Kalim would love them. Oricorio feels like a good choice too because of how much it likes dancing... but I feel like Yutu would have a hard time choosing what form to train because they are all so cool. His dad would be such an enabler, sure son lets have all four! And throw a themed party for each one lol
Jamil! Yutu also feels like a good candidate for a pokemon rival. Sure, Ekans and Arbok feel like good pokemon for him thematically, but I just know he would have a well balanced and thought out team of pokemon he deeply loves and takes great care of. Keeping with the snake theme, lets say he started out with Snivy. Serperior fits Jamil's overall vibe pretty well, it's a beautiful pokemon and very regal. Other pokemon I could see him having are Gastrodon, Clefable, and Scizor.
Vil! Yutu loves to draw but I do not like Smeargle in the slightest and will be pretending it does not exist. I feel like anyone attached to Vil should get a Buneary, it's a cute pokemon with a friendship evolution who has real hate in its heart. It is more like Vil than any poison type pokemon fr fr. I could see Vil! Yutu doing well as coordinator, but being a bit uncertain of who else he wants to add to his team, but catching an evee with the intent of evolving them into... something he just doesn't know what.
I hit the text block limit lol, I should just. Stop being distracted by cassette beasts and get back to writing. Or replay a pokemon game.
#<3 asks#twisted wonderland x reader#twst x reader#future kid au#pokemon au#i have thoughts for everyone else just hit the limit lol#what is everyone's favorite pokemon anyway?

Ghoul Files: Aether
Welcome to my little series of ghoul character sheets. The Files are basically little living documents of how I headcanon/characterize each ghoul. I've made one for every ghoul (yes every ghoul) and I'll be slowly uploading them alphabetically by era just for the hell of it.
Starting with Impera/Prequelle we have Aether :3
Check out his design here !
Name: Aether
Element: quintessence
Pronouns: he/him
Powers: can heal minor to moderate wounds, soothe emotions, hypnosis, can read surface-level thoughts (has to be focused in order to dig any deeper), can read emotions, dream share
Love language (giving): He is very versatile and will adapt but his default is acts of service and physical touch.
Love language (receiving): gift-giving by far. He melts when someone hands him something because it makes them think of him. Also physical touch. Big boy likes to hold and be held.
Pairings: When not with the whole pack Aether can typically be found in the company of Dew and Mountain. He tries to have time with Zephyr and Ifrit but it’s so hard with how busy he is, so he clings to the others from his original Topside pack. However, since the summoning of Phantom he also sticks to them. He wants to be a good influence on the little bug.
Influential Others: Omega is probably one of the most influential people in Aether’s life. He taught him how to play guitar for the band. He taught him more about his quintessence than he could’ve ever discovered on his own. Even after all this time and all his experience, he can’t see himself as equal to Omega. Omega will always be his mentor. Cirrus also means a lot to him. She’s the ghoul who finally got him to take a chill pill, finally got him to understand it's genuinely okay to take time for yourself when you need it. They remind each other of that lesson when things get stressful.
Kinds of People Liked: This is a bit difficult to pinpoint for Aether because he is a quintessence ghoul. He can sense baseline emotions, he can sense deeper thoughts and feelings if he prods. He generally likes most people unless he senses something strange in a bad way.
Kinds of People Disliked: the type of people that’ll turn his Protector Mode on. So people who he senses violent/harmful/hateful thoughts/feelings from, people who take things for granted. He has lost a lot and has seen his pack lose a lot so it just rubs him wrong when he sees people who can’t appreciate what they’ve got.
Life in the Pits: Aether’s life in the Pits is…something he regrets deeply since he’s been Topside. He used to be in a rather large pack with an even larger territory. Over half of them slowly got wiped out by an illness that had worked its way into the caves where they resided, something immune to quintessence healing. Aether blamed himself for it. He was the leader of one of the small hunting parties, the only members of the pack who consistently went in and out of the caves. If an illness was brought back it had to have been from a hunting party. Aether took it upon himself to make sure nothing like that ever happened again. He used illusions to hide the cave and essentially kept the remainders under a slight quintosis. Just enough so he could monitor their health, could keep them from leaving. He didn’t want to lose anyone else.
Sense of Humor: shitty dad jokes. He thinks they’re hilarious and he will make them any opportunity he gets.
Basic Nature: He is a protector. Honestly kind of like a dad/mom friend. Snacks? He’s got it. Hurt? He’ll use his quintessence before you can even register the pain. Something he doesn’t have the answer for? Well, let’s go find who can help.
Compulsions/Habits: He always is the last one to turn in for the night. He wants to make sure everyone either gets back to the den safe or that everything is secure before the pack rests. He has a bad habit of believing his quint can fix everything. He’ll get obsessive if he can’t heal something right away, overusing it on his patient. It’s gotten better since Dew told him off after his transition, but it’s still present.
Fears: He fucking hates animatronics. The uncanny valley is too much (which is funny considering he’s literally a demon, but Swiss nearly got his brain melted when he pointed that out).
Attitude Towards own Body: no real strong opinion. He doesn’t hate himself, but he’s also not flaunting. He’s just content.
Sees Self As: the first line of defense for his pack, but also someone soft and approachable.
Hobbies: He loves to read, something about fiction and stories makes him feel almost human. He also likes to knit but with his work in the infirmary he hardly ever has time to anymore.
Pastimes: When he’s not super busy he likes to go down to the nursery and read to the children and kits. He also loves to study the stars. He creates his own constellation maps.
Collections: he keeps every little drawing/craft/gift he gets from either his pack or the children/kits. Like I mean everything. The box looks like a trash can filled with paper and glitter but he keeps it and adds to it. He still has all of the things that were thrown to him when he was touring.
Reading Materials Preferred: He’s a sucker for romance novels.
Most Prized Possession: A Polaroid of his original pack (Zephyr, Ifrit, Mountain, and Dew) prior to Dew’s elemental transition. It’s the only physical evidence of what Dew looked like before.
Favorite Colors: Warmer colors
Favorite Foods: He likes something that’ll warm him up, something filling. His absolute favorite food is creamy mushroom soup. Of course, there’s also his Thing with bananas.
General Likes: going to museums, colder weather, astronomy, moths
General Dislikes: crowded areas (makes the quintessence buzz), artificial raspberry flavor, cotton bedsheets, snails
Is Seen By Others As: someone to rely on. Someone you can go to with anything no matter how frivolous.
Typical First Impression: A giant bear in the best way possible. Big strong ghoul. Maybe a little intimidating at first.
Morning Routine: Go find Mountain and make sure he’s not running himself ragged already. Check with Omega in case he needs help in the infirmary. Go back to the den real quick for some breakfast with whoever is awake by then. Go do his daily chores.
Evening Routine: He usually comes back from the infirmary in the middle of dinner so he quickly washes up before joining. After dinner he gets some much needed cuddle time on the couch as everyone slowly goes to bed one by one. Once everyone is all accounted for, depending on the night’s activities, he’ll clean up the common area before lighting some incense to help him sleep.
Strongest Character Trait: His tenderness. He has a strong element and an even stronger body. He can hurt very easily, but he doesn’t. He has soft hands, a soft heart. He’s loving, tender, romantic in just about everything he does.
Weakest Character Trait: He’s a hypocrite. Constantly fussing over others and telling Mountain he works too hard while he’d turn around and ignore basic self-care if someone needed him. He’s also caring to a fault; it will sometimes lead to him forgiving and forgetting behaviors he shouldn’t. Though, in his defense when he can sense emotions and thoughts it gets hard to rationalize sometimes.
Mental/Emotional Blocks : sometimes treats Dew (and the rest of the pack but not to the same degree) like they’re helpless. He gets overprotective because of the transition and on bad days it’ll result in him being a bit controlling or overbearing. He’s gotten much better at self correcting this behavior, but sometimes it can still rear its ugly head.
Chores/other job: He is basically Omega’s assistant. He primarily helps in the infirmary, but on occasion he helps Omega with his other duties. This includes preparing and leading rituals, help newly summoned ghouls acclimate, and taking care of the Ministry’s protective wards.
Long Term Goals: He’d like to have a kit of his own some day. Dew is trying to argue for naming rights, but Aether can be stubborn if he wants to. Dew says if their kit is quint he gets to name them.
Present Problems: He feels guilt for retiring from the band. He knew it was what he needed, but watching his pack leave without him was hard. He felt like he was abandoning them. Even now that they’re back, he knows another tour will be coming and he’ll have to do it all over again.
One Line Characterization: Aether is a strong yet soft ghoul who puts others before himself.
Room Description: His room is very tidy and organized. He has a queen-sized canopy bed. It always smells of incense. He has his guitars mounted on his wall. The overhead light is never on, he always uses two small lamps to light the space. He has various nightlights plugged in, not for himself, but in case a ghoul comes to him for comfort in the middle of the night. He has a potted scilla sitting on his window. His mirror is packed with various pictures of the other ghouls, Terzo, and Copia.
Summoning: Despite his summoning being done in a hurry after Delta’s transition fell through, it went off without a hitch. He was more confused than anything, but after that wore off he became horribly curious about everything around him. However, when the novelty wore off, he fell into a depression. He was absolutely exhausted from continuously using his magick for years upon years and from the summoning. That and he couldn’t help but think about his pack, how they’ve lost yet another member.
NSFW
Favorite position: He absolutely loves watching his partner ride him. Honestly, just any position where he can see their face.
Dom/sub: He is always always going to be the dom, albeit a soft dom. The only people he has ever subbed for and will ever sub for is Mountain and Cirrus. He’s always soft though, the only way to get him to be meaner is to essentially plan it days in advance like an event…or wait for his rut.
Risk: He’s not super into risky stuff but he’s willing to play along if it’s what his partner wants. Though this goes right out the window when he’s in the mood for some quintosis or a medfet scene.
Kinks: Big breeding kink, he is always going to cum inside. Daddy kink, the need to be a protector definitely bleeds into bed. Bit of a voyeur but he’ll never admit it. Using his quintessence, he loves to tap into the mind of his partner and let them feel everything he is thinking and feeling and vice versa (also uses it to edge and deny on those occasions he’s mean).
Aftercare: He takes his partner straight to the shower. Always. He’ll bathe them if he has to. After that, he’ll pull out his stash of food and drinks and then it’s cuddles for the rest of the night. If it’s like the middle of the day it will take a miracle for him to get out of bed and away from whoever he was with. Also uses his quintessence to soothe sore muscles and coax to sleep.
Noise level: He’s surprisingly talkative during. Mainly check-ins and praise though. Other than that, at first, he’ll try to stifle his grunts and growls to focus on the other but after a while, he just goes full send.
Surprise: He has a thing with his horns that was even a surprise to himself when he first discovered it. Also big fat medfet. Like to the point where he’ll always try to keep a spare room open in the infirmary for him to sneak someone into.

Asleep In The Keep-Chapter 33
DPxMHA crossover Fic
Chapter 33: Interview
Summary: Toshinori finally has that talk with Mirai that he had been avoiding for years. On the other side of town, Phantom waits in an alley.
Word Count: 3487
“You can’t keep doing this,” Sir Nighteye, no, Mirai, pleaded.
Toshinori always knew the man was stressed, but after seeing him last week, it went far beyond that. While he wasn’t always the biggest, he at least had a small amount of fat on him that was needed for a hero. In the years since Toshinori had last seen him, Mirai had run himself thin. He must have been skipping meals along with sleep. Toshinori had also smelled smoke on him at the meeting. His bad habit had gotten worse.
“If you keep going at this rate, you’ll die. I saw it.” Mirai finished.
Toshinori wanted to say the same thing to him.
“Then why are you worrying?” Toshinori placed his hands down on the table. “Your visions have never failed before, even when you tried to stop it. I’ve known for a long time of my fate.”
“That's not the point. I don’t know when it will happen, just that it will. If you keep this pace up, it could be sooner rather than later.”
“Excuse me gentlemen.” A waitress bowed. “Here’s your Okonomiyaki and Eel liver soup.” She set the plates down gently, watching Mirai from the corner of her eye. She clearly recognized him and didn’t want to disappoint.
Mirai nodded at her and she walked away. They were at a fancy place, courtesy of Mirai. It was the type of place with a dress code and policy on how to take pictures or answer calls. Mirai lent Toshinori one of his suits to get in. It was a yellow one with thin strips that fit him just right. Mirai must’ve been wanting to do this for a while. Toshinori would’ve been fine at any cafe or even the beach. It wasn’t where they talked that was important, it was what was said.
Toshinori rolled up his sleeves, ready to eat. Soup was just what he needed for his stomach.
“You need to retire.” Mirai interrupted him mid bite.
Toshinori coughed up blood, surprised by how direct the order was. He whipped it off with a handkerchief he kept on him.
Mitai continued, “You can barely last a few hours using your quirk. You spend most of that time teaching anyway. There’s far more useful things you can be doing than that. You can use that time for yourself, god knows you haven’t since you became a hero.”
Once again Toshinori could say the same thing about Mirai.
“You’ve done so much for the world already. It’s time to let the world take care of you. You should rest now.”
“It’s not about that.” Toshinori put his dirty handkerchief back into his pocket, “I need to make sure the new generation can handle things when I’m gone.” Toshinori took a deep breath in. “You know who is back. Or maybe he never left. The League, the Nomus…It has him written all over it. There is also the other thing.”
Mirai’s face stayed neutral except for the clenched jaw. “Are you talking about Phantom?” He let out in a harsh whisper.
“Indeed.” Toshinori nodded. “He was always looking for the perfect quirk. Maybe he decided to make one.”
“All the more reason to contain the boy. We must not let his father get him back.”
It was clear Mirai’s opinion had not changed since the meeting. Toshinori could hardly blame him. He too had complicated emotions on the support. He knew Nezu’s plans for the boy, and while it left a bad feeling in his stomach, Toshinori couldn’t judge him. Grooming a child with the intent to take down a major force. Toshinori was doing the same thing with young Midoriya.
“No.” Toshinori stated. “I have decided with principal Nezu on this matter.”
Mirai didn’t look surprised, just tired. “I know you have already made up your mind, but I still beg you to reconsider. You don’t know what the boy will become. He could destroy you and UA.”
“If that were to happen, then we will ally with the Hero Commission and work to take down Phantom. Until that happens, we will do what we can for the boy.”
Mirai had a scowl on his face, but said nothing else. The two heroes silently ate their food. Toshinori was never one to handle long awkward pauses so he opened his mouth.
“Shigaraki is Nana’s grandson.” Toshinori let that hang in the air.
“I suppose that's what got him in you know who’s sights.” Mirai shook his head.
“He’s like Phantom. Just another one of the villains victims”
“Yes, but their status doesn’t excuse the actions they took. Shigaraki still is the leader of the League while Phantom attacked those heroes and Endeavor.”
“Hmm,” Toshinori hummed. “But perhaps there is still time for Phantom.”
“You’ve been talking with principal Nezu too much,” Mirai took a sip from his tea.
Toshinori stared at him waiting for a response. The younger hero put his cup down and looked at this senior over his glasses, analyzing. He shut them and sighed.
“If Phantom does attend the school, you will bring him to me first. I will look into his future to see if he betrays us. If I see no such thing, I will not stop you from your delusional decision.
Toshinori smiled, it was a soft old smile that told the tale of his sad life. The younger hero nodded at him and took another bite of his food. Toshinori followed his stead and the two ate in a comfortable silence.
After most of their food was done, Toshinori spoke out again.
“Like the villain we face, I too have found a successor to replace me.” Toshinori patted his mouth with a napkin waiting for his former sidekick's reaction.
“You can’t mean that green haired kid?” There was a hint of disdain in Mirai’s voice.
“His name is Midoriya, and he has the heart and spirit of a hero.” Toshinori praised.
Midoriya had come a long way from that scrawny kid who could only write or dream about heroes rather than becoming one. The way he was progressing, he would be able to achieve what Toshinori hadn’t in a manner of years.
“I saw him at the school festival. He may have the spirit to be a hero, but you need more than that.”
“Then why not intern him?” Toshinori suggested.
Mirai rolled his eyes and cut into his food. “I already found a more suitable candidate for you. One that doesn’t break an arm after throwing a punch.”
“He will need a new one now that Gran Torino can’t take him. Out of everyone, you would be the most equipped to take care of him.”
Mirai hummed, “I will consider it, but the boy would have to prove himself to me.”
“I would expect nothing else from you. I’m sure he will meet your standards.”
Quick buzzing came from Toshinori’s pants pocket. He picked it up to see it was the detective on the phone. The place Mirai had brought him didn’t allow phone calls unless taken on the floor below so as not to disturb the other guests. Even the bathroom wasn’t a vital option here.
“Hello Detective Tsukauchi,” he answered in a low whisper, “I can’t talk right now because-”
“I have a lead on Phantom here.” Detective Tsukauchi said quickly and quietly as well.
“What?” Toshinori covered the phone speaker so Mirai wouldn’t be able to hear.
He trusted him, but this was too soon. The same waitress as before started walking over to them. Toshinori frantically stood up but in his haste he knocked the chair a little causing his glass to tip over. He pushed his chair back and tried to quickly take the suit jacket off. The arm holes were too big for him so it was easier than getting out of the table. The waitress had caught up to him.
“Excuse me sir, do you need help with anything?” which was customer service for ‘what the fuck are you doing’.
“No Ma’am, I just need to leave to take this call.” Toshinori tossed the jacket at Mirai. It crashed onto his face like a newspaper in the wind. Toshinori smiled at the waitress awkwardly and started walking quickly to get out of the restaurant.
“Where are you going?” Mirai yelled after him in a stern voice. He no longer had the jacket on his face.
“I have to take this,” Toshinori called behind him. “I am no longer here!”
🥇
Over the phone, Detective Tsukauchi began explaining how there was an incident at the mall involving Shigaraki and young Midoriya. Apparently, young Midoriya was at the mall with his friends when he got separated and the villain found him. The villain threatened him and had almost all his fingers around his neck. Detective Tsukauchi didn’t know how far the villain would take it. Fortunately, a teen interrupted them and scared Shigaraki off. He stayed with Midoriya until Tsukauchi could arrive. The teen matched the reports of the boy from the alley. Besides that, he had a weird air around him. They took him to the department to interrogate him under the guise of the mall incident.
His answers were very suspicious and confirmed to the detective that the two were connected, maybe even being a possible brother like the rumors said. Toshinori felt guilty upon hearing his theory and internally chastised himself for keeping Tsukauchi out of the loop. He would have to explain it when he got there.
It took Toshinori around 15 minutes to get to the department. He parked behind the building and made his way to the alley by the back. As he approached, he saw a lone teen leaning on the wall outside the door. He looked over to Toshinori, his eyes glowing.
Toshinori slowed down to a stop. The teen pushed himself off and walked toward him. Now that he was closer, Toshinori could see his features. He had white hair and green eyes, similar to how All For Once once looked. His skin however was a corpse blue like how Toshinori imagined Yoichi, his younger brother.
This was what Toshinori was so afraid of. That he would fail and more and more people would become All For One’s victim like the other holders before him. Yoichi was barely 10 years older than young Midoriya when he died. Now there he was, standing in front of Toshinori, ready to take him to the other holders before him.
There was still so much Toshinori had to do. He needed to make sure Midoriya was able to become a better hero than he was. He had to make sure he was safe and didn’t succumb to the same fate as the others. Toshinori always knew he would die before Midoriya was ready, but not this soon.
Yoichi was finally in front of him. His eyes were kind and held no judgment. They looked so much older than he should’ve been. The ghost held out his hand and something made Toshinori reach out and take it. His mouth opened but he couldn’t even get out a ‘why’ before Yoichi silenced him.
“Shush,” his voice echoed around them. “You don’t have to fight any longer.” Yoichi set his other hand on top of Toshinori’s. “You can rest now.”
Oh, and he was tired. He was so very tired. He had been doing this for so long. Yoichi’s voice was like a lullaby and Toshinori couldn’t fight anymore. He was about to die. He knew he should be scared, but instead he only felt peace.
“Is Nana there?” Toshinori let out in a whisper.
Yoichi smiled, “She is.”
Toshinori considered one last thing.
“Will you keep them safe? It’s not their time yet.”
“Of course.” The figure began glowing and Toshinori felt something within him stir. He closed his eyes, ready to accept fate.
“All Might?” Toshinori heard Midoriya call out and he opened his eyes.
The spirit or whatever it was let go and backed away, losing the glow from before. The light from the door lit up the alley, illuminating the ghost’s features. It was no ghost after all, just a teenage boy.
“Oh, hey Deku!” The teen greeted. “Glad to see you made it out.”
Toshinori was still reeling. He looked down at his hands, which were steady before with the teen’s, were now shaking like he was in the cold. His whole body felt a chill that he couldn’t rub out and hurt his bones.
“Sorry about that,” the teen said to Toshinori in a whisper only he could hear, or maybe he didn’t even speak at all, “I thought you were a ghost.”
Toshinori spoke for the first time in the alley. “I did too.”
Detective Tsukauchi stood behind Midoriya by the doorway, silently watching. Toshinori finally pieced it together. He looked back at the teen, at Phantom. Why was Tsukauchi standing there instead of doing something? What was he waiting for?
Phantom went to the entrance of the alley where Midoriya was. He looked back at Toshinori, electric eyes searching him for something. He smiled and turned away leaving Toshinori raw. What had he seen in him?
Phantom went up to Midoriya and patted him on the head. The boy laughed and smiled at Phantom like a childhood friend. How long had young Midoriya known Phantom? Did he know that he was Phantom? A queasy feeling welled up in Toshinori at seeing the two interact. Toshinori had heard what Phantom did to Endeavor and the other heroes. Now, he was laughing with Midoriya and listened to him talk. A hammer can not hold a butterfly without squashing it. But here Phantom was being gentle.
Toshinori followed them into the dim light. He stood beside Tsukauchi, still watching the two.
“Interesting, huh?” Tsukauchi said quietly. Toshinori could only nod.
“Shouldn’t we do something? What if he hurts young Midoriya?”
“He won’t.” Toshinori sounded so sure.
“How do you know?” Toshinori was still feeling the effects of the encounter.
“Look.” Tsukauchi gestured towards the kids with his head.
Young Midoriya was showing Phantom his new notebook, and was clearly very excited. Phantom towered over the boy, but it seemed more protective than predatory. He smiled down at him and seemed to ask questions, which only sparked more excitement from Midoriya.
The sight did ease Toshinori somewhat, but he still wasn’t certain.
“When I was interrogating him, whenever Midoriya was brought up, he would get really protective of him. The way he was talking, I thought I was even a danger to him.”
Toshinori didn’t know what to say so instead he just hummed. Being protective can be both a good and bad thing. It’s true that young Midoriya needed all the protection he could get with how the villains were after him. Toshinori knew how if Midoriya didn’t have his quirk, he would lock the boy away so he couldn’t get hurt. And that was the problem. How deep did Phantom want to protect Midoriya, and how far would it go?
“Phantom sure is something…” Toshinori breathed out.
“Phantom?” Tsukauchi asked.
Toshinori froze. He had almost forgotten to tell him about that. He was about to open his mouth when Tsukauchi stopped him.
“No.” His friend put his hand on his shoulder. “Just promise to keep me in the loop next time.”
Toshinori nodded. After a final laugh, Midoriya looked over at Toshinori. His eyes were big and green. His eyes looked a lot like Phantom’s at that moment. He blinked and it disappeared. Midoriya looked slightly sad, the events of the day caughting up to him. Toshinori and Midoriya both started to walk to the other, and they met halfway.
“Midoriya, what a relief.” Toshinori greeted. “I’m so glad you're okay. I’m sorry I couldn’t protect you and the others.”
Toshinori patted the boy’s head like a proud father. Midoriya looked up at him and he smiled.
“It’s fine.” His voice was quiet but there was a clear tone of relief in his voice as well. “Tommy was able to protect me.”
“Tommy?” Toshinori questioned. He wasn’t aware of any classmate with that name.
“Met Grundy Tommy.” Tsukauchi pointed to Phantom.
Toshinori couldn’t help but stare at the teen again. He looked awkward despite having extraordinary power, and he slouched to seem shorter than he was. With him looking like this, Phantom looked like any other teenager. Still, there was a weird energy coming from him. Not dangerous, just odd. It made Toshinori’s hair bristle. Young Midoriya must not have been able to feel it, or he had simply gotten used to it.
“Ah, I see.” Toshinori sputtered. “Pleasure to meet you, Grundy. I am Toshinori Yagi.”
“You too, but you can just call me Tommy.” Phantom waved off.
Toshinori nodded and was about to say something when a shrill panic voice came from behind him.
“Izuku?!” Mrs. Midoriya ran into the alley escorted by Sansa.
“Mom?” Midoriya stepped closer slowly, then ran into his worried mother’s arms.
“My baby!” She sobbed into her son’s shoulder. “I can’t do this anymore. I don’t think my heart can handle another scare.”
She cried desperately as she held onto her son, scared he might run off and get killed. Toshinori felt guilty. It was him who had given young Midoriya his quirk and thus sent him on the dangerous path of being a hero.
Midoriya’s eyes started to tear up as well as he hugged his weeping mom. He held her tighter and rubbed her back, trying to calm the both of them down.
“I'm sorry. Every things fine. I'm okay, mom.” He said, trying to convince her. “ There's no need to cry. The heroes and the police have been taking really good care of me and Tommy all night.”
“Tommy?” Mrs. Midoriya pulled her face from her son’s chest. She looked past him at Phantom looking more awkward than before behind him. He waved. “oh…”
“Sansa,” Tsukauchi ordered, “make sure they get home safe.”
“Sir!” The cat responded.
“Goodbye, young Midoriya.” Toshinori waved, “Get home safe.”
“See you, Deku.” Phantom also waved goodbye.
“Wait, what?” Midoriya whipped his eyes. “Aren’t you gonna come with us?”
“What?” Phantom looked confused.
“Well, where else would you go?” Midoriya said in response.
“My house?” Phantom protested.
Toshinori thought he was homeless. The way Midoriya was looking at him he had the same thought. He bit his bottom lip and frowned.
“Noneness,” Mrs. Midoriya said as she to wiped her eyes, “I’m sure your parents won’t mind you staying over for dinner.”
“Mom, remember what I said about his dad…” Midoriya whispered.
It was clear Phantom heard him since his lip twitched. This surprised Toshinori. He was under the impression that Midoriya wasn’t aware of Phantom’s background.
“Oh right, sorry dear.” Mrs. Midoriya whispered back and covered her mouth with her palm.
Phantom laughed awkwardly looking to the side. “Uhh, well, I really gotta go…”
“Please Tommy?” Midoriya looked up at Phantom with his big green eyes. Phantom looked like he was actually in pain as he twisted his face and grunted.
“Geez fine! Just stop looking at me with those big ol’ eyes!” Phantom tried to look made but he had a small smile on his face.
Toshinori couldn’t believe that the son of All For One was such a softie! Tonight was a night of first and surprises.
The Midoriyas smiled at Phantom as he followed behind them to leave.
“Good bye All Might!” Midoriya called.
Phantom whipped his head around to look at Toshinori. He looked him up and down, judging. He made a weird confused face before turning around again. Toshinori got chills thinking what it could mean.
What had the teen seen in him everytime he watched him? Before, Toshinori was looked at without judgment, was that what was following him now? Phantom was like his father in many ways. Just how far did those traits carry?
Principal Nezu had to be right about him, otherwise, a lot of people are going to get hurt.

Welcome to my blog!!
Hi! You may call me Atlas! I'm 18 and use he/they pronouns :3
(art very generously gifted to me by ToasterTeostra)
Here, you will find my dragonkin and witchcraft ramblings, as well as a TON of reposts and some art! I wanted to find a cool space online to share my alterhuman experiences without prejudice, and I figured tumblr would be a good place! I'm very new here, so please keep that in mind!
Wanna learn more about me? Keep reading :D!!
✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
My alterhuman experience
(art by me)
That adorable starry dragon right there is none other than me! I've identified as a dragon since early this year, however I've had dragon shifts for as long as I could remember. I like to describe myself as a Celestial Star dragon since I'm so gravitated towards stars and celestial bodies. I also have a minor affinity to water!
I don't experience species dysphoria that often. Dragons were my very first special interest, I've been obsessed with them ever since I was little. I'm almost always partially shifted to some capacity (the term for this is co-therian!), but often times when I'm comfortable or emotional, I would fully shift, completely altering my awareness and psych to that of a dragon. I've experienced these shifts my entire life. It's only up until several months ago that I've realized and came to terms with it. Very few people know I'm dragonkin, I mostly keep it to myself for my own safety and out of fear of discrimination.
Why am I dragonkin? I have no fucking clue ngl. I don't have a past life (that I know of). It's likely a trait that came along with my autism and ADHD
(I also drew this)
Here's me in my "half dragon" form, pretty much me partially shifted. I experience phantom limbs on a regular basis, so much so that I forget they're there. If I focus hard enough, I can feel them
I'm still learning more about my dragon self!✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
My gender identity and sexuality
I've been out as trans ever since I was 13-14. I went through many labels and phases until I finally found the term that perfectly describes my gender, genderfaun!
Genderfaun is a fluid gender that never encompasses female or feminine genders. I've experienced male, demiboy, non binary (in the sense that I have a gender it's just not a boy or girl), and agender, as well as multiple of them at the same time
But never have I felt feminine. Wardrobe wise, yes to an extent, like femboy but without the skirt or dresses
But internally I've never been female or feminine in any shape or form. But I've been everything else!
I'm also pansexual/bisexual and currently taken in a relationship (I use both labels)

Witchcraft and my spiritual views
I was raised Lutheran but a few years ago I deviated from Christianity and experimented with witchcraft. I was Wiccan for a short bit before deciding that my views and theirs aren't completely aligned. I eventually just did my own thing, but my parents (still living with them) are completely against witchcraft as a whole and forced me back to Christianity. I tried, but I just can't, especially as a neurodivergent queer person who sees things differently. I felt so happy with my own path, and I long for that once again. However I love God, so there's a big conflict. I struggled with my faith and what it meant to be a Christian. Last year, I discovered that Christian witches are indeed a thing, and I was very happy to discover it. However, due to personal life and burnout, I've fallen out of it.
I'm currently trying to get back on my path again, now with a totally new view since I discovered I was dragonkin. I don't know how that's going to work out with God and witchcraft but that's why I'm trying to learn from other people and seek what's right for me, as well as hopefully heal from the religious guilt I've been carrying all these years
I've been slowly working myself back into spellwork and talking to God about these things. I'm interested in learning draconic magic, astrology, and crystal work, as well as divination.
I do not force my beliefs upon others, let me make that very clear. I am the complete opposite!! That's not what Jesus wanted and is completely against his word. I do not judge others spiritual paths unless it actually harms themselves or others. I am extremely open minded! Satanists, atheists, and everybody else is WELCOME!!
I have a very hard time calling myself "Christian". I'm more so a witch who follows God within my own path and what's best for me.
God doesn't hate anyone for being themselves. Don't let the fear people inflict upon you eat you away <3

hello new mutual! <3 what are your top 5 favorite star wars moments (film and/or tv)?
hello!!! 💜 ty for the ask!! 😊 i tried to just go with my first instincts, otherwise i’d be here all day thinking about this lol. also i'm going to cheat and do top 5 movie moments and top 5 tv moments 🤪
top 5 movie sw movie moments:
binary sunset. i mean, how could it not be a favorite moment? the music, luke's face as he looks out at the twin suns setting. that's cinema babey!!
rey using the force to grab anakin/luke's lightsaber out of the snow in TFA. i got full-body chills the first time i saw that.
anakin vs obi wan fight in ROTS. what can i say, it's the best lightsaber fight in the whole saga and it's exhilarating to watch! plus it's bookended by two of the most heartbreaking scenes, and i just love the tragedy lol
jyn and cassian "your father would have been proud" final scene on the scarif beach. like it's.... yeah 😭 the rebellion is about sacrifice but there's still hope and the MUSIC. ahhhhh
leia rescuing han from the carbonite. i think the "who are you?" "someone who loves you" exchange is underrated and i just love the beginning of rotj a lot and this is one of my fave parts <3
top 5 tv moments:
does all of rebels count as a favorite moment? asfsdflsjkl
but seriously, kanan's "i'm about to let everyone in on the secret" jedi reveal moment in the pilot. cheering screaming crying about it, instantly made me fall in love with him
ezra looking up at the vent in the rebels finale, quietly saying "one last time" and well, iykyk. it makes me cry like a baby every time lol. it's a subtle moment, but so impactful!
maul’s speech to ahsoka about the republic falling, combined with his “let me go, let me die! you don’t know what you’re doing! we’re all going to burn, we’re all going to die!” in the phantom apprentice. Again, full body chills, and i so badly wish i could watch that ep for the first time again.
when vader showed up in the village in ep3 of the kenobi show. if i could bottle that emotion, the absolute RUSH i got seeing hayden vader properly again, i’d never have to drink caffeine again lmao
there are so many andor moments i could choose from, but i’m going to go with flying through the eye in ep6. just the way the eye looked in general, they did such an incredible job with that. that scene was just the perfect combo of awe-inspiring, edge-of-your-seat terrifying but exciting, plus nemik’s “climb!” paralleling k2’s 😭 the visuals have stuck with me since i watched that ep
ask me my top 5/top 10 anything!
#there are too many honorable mentions to list. i'm already second-guessing myself lol but i feel like this is a good selection!#star wars#asks#answered#mik chats

Hi! It's totally fine and I'm sorry my reply is kinda late as well. Omg ..i actually always reply or send asks on my phone so this is pretty funny to me. The concert was great. There were some things I was surprised by since I kinda went in mostly blind and I didn't really know the order of the songs they sang except for the first and last songs. They did a lot of mashups and one where the drummer Josh sang while Tyler sang a completely different song. It was very beautiful because of what the songs mean. My other favorite was Next Semester, a song that means so much to me and emotional for Tyler and also everyone in the crowd and the environment when it slowed down. My upbeat energy favorite songs were Jumpsuit and Navigating. I was surprised by how close they were to me at that moment in the back of pit cuz I had never been that close before! It was just really great and apparently they will have a new song for a soundtrack coming out!
Ahh I wanna hear all about your trip! Which show was the best? Your favorite? Which show surprised you the most? You can also just do a ranking of each show and in order and explain why. I am also curious about the rain from the Notebook and if there was any differences seeing it again compared to the first time. How was seeing Aaron and him singing Roxanne? I also wanna know about JoJo's performance in general too. I wanna know more about the plots of Stereophonic and Oh Mary, and the environment, costume and staging of CATS! Also what other fun things did you do? I honestly don't mind sweet things too much so I would probably like it or anything from there if I ever went but that's weird if they don't sell it everyday lol. I just watched one of my favorite movie musicals Across the Universe yesterday and had a lot of fun imagining what a stage version would be like so I highly recommend it! Also did you hear that there is going to be a movie that's a teen version reimagining of Phantom and Kenny Ortega from the HSM movies is involved. Idk what to think of that but it could be good. I also watched She's the Man yesterday..one of my other favorites and that is a teen reimagining of Twelfth Night done pretty well so who knows lol. I've also been listening to songs from Passion and Company.
Omg it's been a while but I forgot to tell you that I watched a bootleg of the Great Gatsby a week or two ago! Unfortunately I think you're right..it's just okay. The weird thing was that it kept going from song to song without much plot development or dialogue in between. It was like you were just supposed to accept stuff like how in love Gatsby was with Daisy. Idk if this is the musicals book issue or that's just how it is in the book cuz you're not seeing Gatsby's perspective as much since Nick is the narrator. I felt like that almost could have been used more but then it would remind me of the Outsiders and people say or think it was used too much there lol. For context, Ponyboy is on stage the whole time except for one song. I was also drinking though but it wasn't hard to follow. Unfortunately I could not watch the last 30ish minutes cuz I stupidly fell asleep and the video got deleted. So idk...I definitely think the last bit could have been more interesting and I wanted to see how they did those parts..oh well. I also watched Lempicka and Gutenberg with Josh Gad and Andrew Rannells and enjoyed those.
I have not been watching shows or anything and did not have a chance to watch Elsie Fest performances yet but I did see the performances from the VMAS. I loved Sabrina's and Chappells performances and wins along with Taylor and her outfit. I also liked Halsey, Megan and Katys performances..I've always liked Katy and am looking forward to her album. Short and sweet has grown on me but at the same time I don't really feel like it needs a lot of listens either. My absolute favorite from the first listen was Juno and that hasn't changed. I love it cuz it's also one of my favorite movies of all time, though I found the concept a little weird at first. My sister actually didn't even get it until I told her. I also like Taste, Sharpest Tool, Lie To Girls and Don't Smile. Bed Chem is fun to dance to. I am very excited for Halsey's album too which releases the same day as Soccer Mommy so idk which I will listen to first now lol. I also got tickets to Soccer Mommys tour yesterday so now I know what my next concert will be. I hope you are doing good adjusting after your trip and had a good week and have an amazing weekend!
hellooo friend!! tumblr has been very glitchy on my phone lately :( but also i am a much faster typer on my computer than i am on my phone, so i do like answering longer asks when i'm on my computer (and then i can also refer back to old asks of ours!) hope you've been well!! 🤍 sorry this is late! i yap a lot about my trip and theatre in this ask hehe !
i'm so glad you had fun! i've been seeing a few things about 21p on instagram and tiktok lately (not much, but i do think of you every time i see them). do you prefer being in the back of the pit? i've been in the pit a few times and in varying spots, but i think it's more about who i'm with vs. where i'm in the pit if that makes sense. but i also do think i've had the most fun at concerts when i was closer to the front, so there's that!
okay okay so with my trip!! i think i would rank it as follows:
cats: the jellicle ball: cats: the jellicle ball, was the show i had most anticipated — which is weird to say, given that i have spent years of my life hating cats. (i did put my beef aside with cats briefly for the 2016 revival, as someone who likes tyler hanes, eloise kropp, georgina pazcoguin, and ricky ubeda). a reimagined immersive production of cats set in the world of ballroom, with new arrangements and some new choreography — this production of cats was everything, and i really hope it has another life elsewhere. i’m not sure what that would look like (a circle in the square transfer, perhaps? a filmed version?), but all i know is that cats: the jellicle ball is in my top ten theatrical experiences for sure, and i’m so grateful i got to see it. i can’t remember the last time i had so much fun at a show. i never would’ve imagined that any production of cats would make me cry. it was just absolutely magical.
the notebook: the day before i saw the notebook, the closing announcement came out — and as someone who has been following along the publicized broadway grosses every week for over ten years now, i wasn’t surprised but it still stung. i really wish this show found its audience on broadway. i wish they’d had a better marketing team and the ability to stand as a show in an industry that increasingly values commercialization over good art. there wasn’t a dry eye in the schoenfeld by the time it was done, and i’m just so glad i got to see it on broadway before it closed — i’m hoping i’ll get to see it on tour again someday. ( we will get back to the notebook later 🤍 )
oh mary: i went into oh, mary! as blind as i could — really just knowing vaguely what it was about — and spent so much of it just doubled over laughing. i think here is where i give the oh, mary! social media team their flowers, because they’ve done such a good job in connecting popular culture and current events back to the show in a way that no other show has managed to do so. oh, mary! isn’t exactly my type of show, and while i was thoroughly entertained (obviously, cole escola was a standout, but beloved conrad ricamora also shines as lincoln — his “no. more. gay.” scene lives in my brain rent free) i don’t know if i’d go see it again, but i did have an absolute blast while i was there.
once upon a mattress: i went into this one pretty blind, only knowing it was loosely princess and the pea inspired, and that everyone and their mother was in some production in middle school or high school. and in all honesty, i did spend the first fifteen minutes of mattress wishing i was at cats: the jellicle ball with my friends who were seeing cats at the same time. still, sutton foster and michael urie managed to charm me immensely, and i did find myself having a good time. and nikki renee daniels.... i would like to marry her.
stereophonic: my moulin rouge-induced migraine from hell did not do this show any favors, and i was a little bit miserable the entire time i was there. and i felt the sound mixing was terrible (dialogue on stage was too quiet, music was far too loud), but stereophonic is one of the two cast recordings i’ve had on repeat since i’ve come back to seattle, so do with that what you will. sarah pidgeon was a star, and i really hope this will tour! i'd love to see it again and i think if my head wasn't just pounding i would've probably ranked it a lot higher (above mattress, maybe above oh mary but not sure)
moulin rouge: oh… the big disappointment of the trip. this was my third time seeing moulin rouge and well. jojo was very fun to watch, and aaron, well. we will not be commenting on that.
i didn't end up seeing hadestown due to the migraine from hell which i'm still really bummed about :(
to answer your questions in a little more detail !!
the notebook — i just. i loved it so much. i really hope you get to see it if it tours. i sat in side orch this time, and it was much colder than i expected so i did end up getting the if this is love crewneck 😭 but it's cute and very very cozy so i don't mind too much. i think that the cast is definitely the strongest bit of the show (specifically: joy woods, maryann plunkett, dorian harewood, john cardoza) and i will be curious to see who they'll cast in future iterations of this show. the music, albeit simplistic, works really well within the context of the show, and i would say the same thing about the set. i will always take a more simple set over a show that just uses projections and projections and projections. i don't know how much you know about the notebook or the staging, but where the pit/orchestra usually is is where they have a little "river" (which was the same thing in chicago) and so you can see the actors actually play with water and flick each other with water, dip their toes wet, etc. and then the rain scene happens in act two and only happens during the song "forever"! so on the cast recording after young noah is like "don't ever leave again" and young allie is singing "why didn't you write me" + when middle noah is like "here take this" he's putting his jacket on middle allie it's gently raining on stage left close to the river (its just a very specific part of the set that gets wet and falls directly back into the "river" section). and then after the last "don't ever leave me again" it starts really coming down and raining in more than just that one area (but still not the entire stage obviously). and then you have middle allie being like "i used to love to play in the rain" and so she's spinning in the rain and middle noah joins her and then he carries her and they kiss and then she confronts him on not writing her and at that point both actors are like fully drenched and that's the end of the number! and then middle allie and middle noah go back to the house and they're both getting out of their wet clothes and he's like "i'll go grab you a shirt"! let me know if i didn't explain it well or if you have more questions about the rain! but yeah because it's during act two like smack in the middle of act two they can't really do a lot of clean up but it doesn't look like a safety hazard or anything ( @ west side story 2020 revival )!
i ... was really disappointed in seeing aaron in rouge :( you could just tell he kind of didn't care or didn't want to be there/was checked out but he sounded great as always. i loveeeeed jojo's take on satine though! she was very fun! very cute! and she's so pretty! she's a lot better than i imagined she'd be and you could tell she was having a blast in the role!
stereophonic is really interesting! it's very daisy jones-y in which it's really about a band struggling to record their second album while their first album is rising on the charts. and it's a band of five and then two studio engineers, and so you get to see how their dynamics change over the course of the show. the music is so good, have you gotten a chance to listen? i really think they'll be in my top 100 by the end of the year!
oh mary is just absolutely wild! it is very historically incorrect, and is a very different kind of humor than what i'm used to but i did really enjoy it!
in addition to seeing my shows, i also went to the museum of broadway with my friend bailey, did a food crawl with my friend, went to the met (my beloved!!!!!!), and had tea! and then just tried to meet up with as many friends as possible in between everything!
i have actually not watched across the universe, but a close friend of mine loves that movie! i really should watch it someday. and i did hear about the teen phantom — intrigued, but also cautious/anxious about what it could be like! i've been mostly listening to the notebook and stereophonic, but i'm in a bit of an anastasia mood right now so i might listen to it tomorrow.
i really liked the VMAs performances, and am very very excited for halsey's new album! i love what i've heard, and the direction it's going in. i hope you have the most fun at soccer mommy! my next concert is sabrina and then eras and then i've got nothing else planned after that!!!
how have you been? are you looking forward to anything? catch me up! what have you been reading and watching and listening? 🤍

There's one clear difference between Choskey and Shine. As far as crushes go I mean. Shine is always mindful for Snowy whenever he's visiting us. Always tries to make him feel included, always tries to ensure he doesn't feel isolated when he's being affectionate with me. At the same time, it's still somewhat obvious that he likes me a lot in particular. He'll be mindful of Choskey, he'll be mindful of Red, Lupy, Icy, BalloonToes, whoever is visiting us and ensure he's interacted with them all at least once. He's always making this effort to make everyone feel included, even though he kinda magnets to me for most of it. Which fits with his theme. Helping people, making people feel comfortable, making people not feel lonely, always being mindful of people's emotions perhaps to an extreme. The opposite of Choskey.
Choskey back in the day when I was jealous of him and CarboorCat, or Lightfostpaw, or even WolfangCerberus to a degree, I used to get hyper jealous. He'd always be inching closer to someone other than me, leaving me with the choices to either inch closer to remain included or in most cases sulk alone by myself or even hop worlds to see other people. He used to be completely oblivious of my feelings and always make me feel excluded. Which he does have difficulty with empathy or being mindful of what other think or feel and even admits it.
Shine is an overthinker like me, but an affectionate type. I'm more spiteful, sulky, jealous, selfish, just very good at hiding it at least in the moment. I'm always hoping for some degree of mind reading, hoping people will always be mindful of how I feel, or eventually notice enough to start wondering how I feel. Which is partly why it's beneficial for me to have a semi-private space to spill all that. Since other wise it would strain my friendships with the people I feel for or care about the most. But yeah... it's very clear Shine missed me a lot and was very happy to see me last night. I was getting nightly messages from him on the days we couldn't see each other on vrchat, to kind of make up for the fact we didn't see each other that night. Which I doubt Choskey or others have had that same kind of treatment.
The comfortable voice. The willing to share personal things. The warm paws for phantom sense. The highly compatible by his own words. Always purring and meowing to no end regardless of who's around or what they think of us. That is still me.
And not to toot my own horn but, the soothing voice, by multiple sources, multiple separate people have told me that, the warm paws for phantom sense also multiple separate people even someone I had just met day of at a khnfucat meetup told me the same exact thing Shine did the night before. And it is... I love having that identity. I love representing that. I love how consistent that is. I love how people feel that way about me without even pushing for it, that is objectively what people think of me. Lupyraster's said that too and even confirmed that with IcyCoyote who agreed. And that is the opposite of what people thought of me when I was all text on twitter.
People say all these positive things about me. Always positive. Unless it's some rando in a public lobby going "ew furries" people are generally accepting of me and enjoy my presence. And yet not some years ago some people I was hoping to be trusting with was doing the exact opposite.
And analyzing the past, analyzing the reaction I was observing when I was first being spied upon, that air I had in the irls was always there. It was just very much hidden by how negative I can be when I am spilling thoughts online. In vrchat, I can show my full potential without having to prove myself or fight for it. I literally just have to be my natural self.
That's the thing about manipulative or gaslighty people like Ronnie or his friends. No matter who you are or how good you can be, they will always make you out to be the worst person on the internet if you don't put an excessive amount of effort to quell every lie they make or imply about you because of the way they communicate, or the sheer level of injustice they put to what you're trying to communicate or who you actually are. You will always feel violated around people like that. Because the reality stops mattering, all that matters is who you could be which they'll maximize all the negative stuff as much as possible until just defending yourself is proof that whatever preassumptions have been made still feel likely to them. You will never feel comfortable. You will always feel hated.
Everything they say about you or whatever you have to say is so offputting that even the "positive" stuff they have to say about you feels like carefully veiled insults. This is the world I came from. And nobody sees it. Nobody sees the environment I survived. Nobody sees all the heartbreak, frustration, embarassment, sadness, pain or anger it took to make it here. Shine is one of the few people who truly understands the full extent of what I've experienced.
And once again I appreciate how socially and emotionally rich my life is in the present compared to back then. Both near and far. I still remember when Shine was shyly asking about discordant discourse wishing to be a part of it. Nearly everyone I've added to it has been active in it except Beastner. Though Choskey monopolized me enough that he stopped being interested in interacting with me much. That and he's overly self conscious about the french thing. He made a little too much noise in the voice calls when he was at work though so it's for the best but I wish I had a bit more time to include him more in our gaming at least. But he still got some value out of RGB up until he made his own server.
But other than him everyone I've added since vrchat became this little family I have, even carboorcat and lightfostpaw, who used to be my competition became friends to hang out with. We have this little hang out home, we're always seeing each other on vrchat when we can and that is the type of cohesion I wanted. I didn't get much value out of Omi's group chat and I didn't have anywhere else to go up until vrc. But when it's our own server it's a lot easier to be a part of things, it's a lot easier to be involved. And as long as I remain selective and slow about who I add to the server and how well personalities will fit with it, it will continue to be this lively tight nit community.
Vrchat added so much value to my life, identity wise, social wise, romantic wise, even got a job out of it, like I can't overstate how much vrchat turned my life around. Or how directly it eases my trauma wounds. So yeah, maybe I'm not for everyone, but most people seem to like me. You're just not most people. And that's okay.
It's clear that back when I was wondering if I would be a good fit for your group, I should have actually been thinking about if you would be good fit for mine. And a shitty manipulative personality like yours is never finding it's way inside my home. All this time and shit never seems to go in your favor does it? Not when it comes to me, not even when you're feeding me to the mob. The funny thing on my end of things is even though I would spout all these out into public places, which was and still is perhaps not okay, I didn't build a fucking army against you. I wasn't talking about you behind your back except to select people like my therapy friend or my bff. The only person who does that kinda shit is you. I don't mind if you spy on me now, kiss my fucking ass. Show all your friends how good I actually am, it sure fucking worked the first time around.
Maybe next time consider more finding out than fucking around. Maybe then you'll start looking less like a fucking asshole. Only you could take careful obvious diplomatic planning and turn it into a total disaster. You're just a beacon of amazing decision making skills. You ever change, or are you just the same old you?
Happy Halloween and all. I hate to admit that my sona kinda fits the part. But I clearly didn't have the right person to bring me into the horror scene. I don't care how well my sona goes with someone if they're a shitty person. Nothing makes up for having a trainwreck as a personality. So what am I supposed to say. Didn't have the right environment to be a great person? Yeah well you sure didn't give me the right environment either. When I'm emotionally fucked, I'm not looking for someone to be emotionally fucked with, I'm looking for a fucking cure. Distrust and gaslighting doesn't make for great treatment.
Who are you? What do you represent? If choices make you who you are than who are you? My point of reference is very limited I admit but I don't hold much hope for you at all. You don't exactly seem the learning type. You're the blame everyone for your mistakes type. You're the wounded ego type that doesn't give a shit if they're doing something wrong or not. That's the only side of you you've ever shown me. The Ghost in the Shell. You like doing everything the hard way especially when it comes to basic communication so who am I to fucking stop you.
In heavy contrast when I can be myself, when I get the soft and forthcoming environment I want, I fucking thrive. You're only great when you're the only choice.

Good Vlad AU (Vlad’s Powers)
Alright, before we get started I’m going to be discussing canon Vlad’s powers a bit because there’s something I found interesting while researching them. Now, I do remember that in the show there were times when Vlad used ecto-energy that was a different color than his trademark pink energy, but I didn’t realize just how many he used. And sure while these might only be graphical errors in the show or inconsistency in general, I’d like to think there’s more to it. If not, then they just look cool! Lets take a look at them shall we?
First up we have Vlad’s first appearance in the show in “Bitter Reunions,” Vlad used a combination of green energy and the pink energy we’re more familiar with. Most likely they only changed the main color of his attacks to make him stand out from Danny, but it’s still interesting all the same!
Next up we see Vlad using blue energy in the episode “Maternal Instinct” which must be a sign because I wrote a whole re-imagining of that episode for my Good Vlad AU (https://thesoulspulse.tumblr.com/post/662310410203152385/good-vlad-au-maternal-instinct-re-imagined) AND I’ve been thinking of having my Good Vlad use white/blue ecto-energy for his attacks too!
And finally, while this is still pretty close to Vlad’s classic pink energy, in “Reign Storm” Vlad is seen here using purple energy so that’s pretty cool!
Alright, so that said I wondering if it would be cool if my Good Vlad’s energy is white but can change colors depending on the type of attack he’s trying to do? Such as for example, green could be standard/neutral ghost energy, and the energy gets more powerful from there going from blue, to pink, to purple, and then finally red? I know we don’t see Vlad use red energy attacks but canon Vlad does have glowing red eyes. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen this theory before in the amazing fanfic “Checkmate” by pearl84, so credit goes to them or whoever came up with a headcanon like this first!
That said, I’m going to be putting my own spin to it and also say that the color effects emotions too like...the purple and red energy could indicate how ‘dark’ or ‘evil/hostile’ you feel which makes it hard to control unless you have a lot of experience for it such as the Fright Knight or Pariah Dark. With that in mind I imagine my Good Vlad tends to hover between mainly using blue and purple energy mainly because as good as he is he can be a bit selfish, possessive, and quick to anger at times even if its for a good reason. He just deeply cares about the few people in his life that make it a little less lonely, so if pushed too far Vlad can lose control if someone he loves gets badly hurt, especially Danny.
That’s just one idea I’m considering though so I’m not sure if that will be canon to this AU yet, and if I decide against it we’ll stick to him using the white/blue energy primarily. Anyways, lets move on to Vlad’s powers based on what I plan to expand on in this AU. I’ll skip over most of Vlad’s basic powers though like changing from ghost to human and all that though since those are kind of a given at this point of ghost abilities that he’d still have access to.
Ecto-energy Redirection: First up we have this sick move which Vlad literally only used once. He caught Danny’s ecto-energy attack and redirected it right at him! THAT has a lot of potential I think! And what’s funny is, Danny Phantom came out in 2004 but in 2005 Avatar The Last Airbender did and now I keep picturing Good Vlad doing something epic like redirecting Lightning the same way Zuko does:
So yeah, that’s one power I’d really love to add to Vlad’s arsenal that wasn’t explored in the show further than that first episode we see him use it or meet Vlad at all.
Ecto-Energy Shield & Constructs: I’m combining these two since it’s basically a crystalized form of ecto-energy that is much more dense and therefore more heavily reinforced which I imagine isn’t as easy to pull off as canon Vlad makes it out to be. Plus, I’m gonna be honest, I mostly just want an excuse to see Vlad use a sword again in battle so I’d love to add that as part the canon for this version of him. As in Vlad has been professionally trained in many styles of swordsmanship, mainly fencing (cause rich people just always seemed to get into that as a trope) and medieval combat since he has a soft spot for ghostly historic artifacts and history in general.
Power Augmentation: I’m going to redefine this so what Vlad basically does is overcharge his energy attacks which can take a bit longer to charge up but packs a twice as powerful attack. However, it also drains him twice as much so this has be be used sparingly even for him.
Money, Power, Connections and Influence: Ok, this one isn’t a literal ghost power so I’m kinda cheating a little, but consider this. In the show, Vlad IS confirmed to be the richest man in the WORLD right? Think about that for a second. Sure in the show we see him cheat his way to power, cut corners, and lord over people with his power and wealth, but what if Danny (and indirectly his parents too) had Good Vlad’s full support and access to all his resources?
What if Uncle Vlad could help out our hero from the sidelines by offering information that a normal teenager wouldn’t just be able to find online or read in a book? Like for example, having a text about a certain ghost in his personal library or sharing with Danny and his friends his latest inventions which unlike Danny’s parents are made from higher quality tech often made by Vlad personally since this version wouldn’t be stealing ideas from Jack and Maddie. He doesn’t have to, he’s just as brilliant if not more so than the two of them combined? Plus has plenty of connections not only in the real world, but also in the Ghost Zone so anything Danny could ever possibly need to figure out which big bad he’s fighting would literally be at his fingertips...
All he has to do, is ask for it.
Yep, easy as that because THIS Vlad considers Jack a friend again and respects Maddie as a fellow scientist so after meeting Danny all he wanted was the chance to be close to him since he feels like they have a special bond as the only half-ghosts in the world. Vlad still considers Danny a son, but he’d never ask him to leave his friends and family behind unless it was for their own safety. Even then, he’d invite them into the safety of his mansion/castle long before things got to that point.
Teleportation: I felt like this was worth mentioning on the list because it’s kind of another trademark move of Vlad’s so of course I gotta keep it in!
Ghost Core: This is a phandom thing based on something Frostbite says to Danny but this part is a bit tricky since we don’t know for sure what core Vlad might have in canon or which one I should give him in this AU so lets see what the options are:
Electric Core: Considering how many times Danny gets ‘zapped’ by canon Vlad it seems like this is the most likely candidate. However, that would mean that Good Vlad would have some immunity as a result from electrical attacks which may be a bit overpowered, although it would be fun to play with the idea that his powers even now still cause disturbances when upset or angry like making things short out, causing televisions to show only white noise/static, his voice being heard over the radio or phone like it’s being projected, that sort of thing.
Fire Core: Some of canon Vlad’s attacks look like fire so this could work too, but Good Vlad would use this really cool white fire which just looks pretty and very ghostly. So when he gets too upset or angry, stuff starts to burn or the room temperature rises. I kind of use this to explain his ghost sense, like his comes out as hot air which isn’t visible like Danny’s so it’s like when you inhale steam only he exhales it.
Heat Core (Both): Lastly, this idea is just to kinda combine the two ATLA style where Lightning and Fire are just two sides of the same coin. However, that would mean Danny has the opposite, a Cold Core, which would technically mean he could use water-based attacks in my opinion sort of like aquakinesis which is described as the psychic or supernatural ability to manipulate water, but I’m getting off topic so lets leave that for you to ponder.
Weaknesses: That’s about all I have for now on the ghost power end of things, I know I skipped over a lot of them, but for the most part just assume that Good Vlad still HAS all the same powers as canon Vlad. The biggest difference here is that he uses them mostly for Danny’s benefit, not his detriment or against him. Still, Good Vlad has a lot of weaknesses too. The characters in this show can get really overpowered, but often times, what takes them down is their own hubris...
After all, Vlad wouldn’t be Vlad if he wasn’t still a bit childish and overconfident.
Admittedly, Good Vlad ended up cutting some corners to get where he is today as far as his wealth is concerned too but unlike canon Vlad he didn’t resort to theft. However, with that in mind the only thing that actually stopped him from giving into that temptation to make things easier for himself was worrying about what Jack and Maddie might think of him if they ever found out he did something so underhanded. And he didn’t want his old friends to lose faith in him. Still, apart from that Vlad doesn’t really have any good role models in his life or friends who were close to him at that point to let him know when he’s going too far...
Once Vlad was basically left to his own devices with no one to stop him, he grew accustomed to just doing whatever he damn well pleased with his new ghost powers. Vlad didn’t have a whole town to protect, parents to hide from, none of the stuff Danny has to deal with so he could basically get away with stuff completely scot-free since ghosts just aren’t common knowledge to anyone where he lives. He’s like a spoiled child that doesn’t know the difference between right and wrong sometimes. Sure, Vlad does a lot of nice things with his money like making donations to animal rescues, saving rain forests, and orphanages, all the classics, but apart from that though Vlad just uses his powers to try and obtain tons of cool magical/ghostly artifacts from all over the world and in the Ghost Zone.
At least, that’s how it went until Danny came into the picture.
Danny is Vlad’s biggest weakness in more ways than one. Vlad cares about him and his family now to an obsessive degree which therefore means he now has something to not only protect...but to lose if his own enemies go after them. Therefore as much of a sweetheart as Good Vlad is, you mess with his ‘family’ and he will END YOU. Most of the time Vlad is very rational and strategic, but when to comes to Danny he’s prone to getting overprotective and truly vicious which brings out a side of him that even scares the man himself sometimes.
So Danny, in exchange for getting a mentor and someone he can turn to for help, is one of the few people that can keep Vlad grounded in reality when that happens. Not to mention Danny helps teach him better ways to use his powers for good the way his friends help him do that. Still, since they’re on the same side Vlad can be a bit of a bad influence too and encourages Danny to use his powers to pull harmless pranks on the classmates that bully him.
It’s one of the ways they like to bond and frankly, Danny’s friends can be killjoys sometimes since they don’t have to deal with the relentlessly bullying that he does on a daily basis just because he comes from a family of ghost hunters. They have it easy, but Vlad? In college he and Jack went through the same thing so Vlad can ACTUALLY relate to Danny’s situation much better. This isn’t the healthiest kind of relationship, but it’s still better than the way canon Vlad kept SAYING he wanted to help, wanted Danny to accept him as a father figure, but never ACTED like one.

Ooh just read ur timeloop theory post and I've always been a fan of the theory, and the details in ur two possibilities sound pretty solid to me, and also allows the story to smoothly continue in a way that let's us explore more of the world and characters. (Like the story would feel complete once chapter 7 is over and we defeat OB Grim, there wouldn't be much for Yuu to do other than going back to their OG world or staying and starting a new adventure). Plus, with the new lore dump from the chapter 6 part 3 release, there's a good chance of the time loop theory acc being true. (I found this theory from twt) but basically, in the new update Idia reveals that in the last 100 years only 10 NRC students have been recorded to OB, and yet in less than a year 5 incident shave taken place. So the theory goes that those 10 OBs from the past r acc from our 5 OB problem children from two previous loops, which was somehow saved into the Shroud system records. Also, another thing I noticed the lines from the beginning have a deeper meaning. We found out that the phantoms have been preserved in ice for centuries, which is likely a reference to "ice that freezes time" line from the prologue. And then it got me thinking of the first line Crowley ever says to us in the game, "my beautiful flower of evil". While blot is a byproduct of excessive magic use and negative emotions, I noticed that the process of OB to phantom is a lot like a flower blooming and how the flower that Crowley mentioned could refer to our 5 problem children, since we know that the phantom will keep consuming energy from the OB person, like the roots of a flower getting their nutrients from the soil, until it has enough and essentially blooms and becomes a complete phantom. I wanna say Grim too but he's a strange case since we don't see a little Grim anywhere with the beast, unless he's already been consumed by the phantom, but I can't help but think that may be bc he's a monster that he OB differently. It's interesting that Grim has eaten 5 little condensed versions OB and is fairly lucid when he isn't in the presence of blot, can't wait till we get more info on him.
[From here!]
Awww thank you!! 🥺🥺🥺 I honestly am proud of that theory, probably my most favorite thing I thought of to this day. I posted it on Twitter as well, and it has slightly more details.
I heard that theory on Twitter as well! It’s the main reason why I reblogged my time loop theory again. XD The idea of Ortho causing a time loop is really interesting, especially because of the reset feature of games. Frankly, though, I don’t think that the “less than 10” overblots in the past 100 years are the boys either who were somehow recorded despite the resets. I think that in such a magical academy where students generally don’t get along, overblots have a pretty good chance of happening compared to the rest of the world.
WAIT A MINUTE 👁👄👁 I LIKE THE ANALOGY YOU MADE ABOUT THE BEAUTIFUL FLOWER OF EVIL!!!! That’s so smart actually, that’s really so head in hands. That’s really really likely, and it’s scary to think about because how exactly then is Crowley controlling the circumstances of their blotting? Is it because he does indeed have the ability to reset time? And if he does, does he reset it all so that he can find out how to make these mages overblot?

JP vs. Localization in Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation
(Okay, for real this time lol)
Again, here’s a link to my sources post.
Fortunately, this route follows suit in terms of good localization quality after Conquest. It’s the shortest out of all the posts, since I don’t really have a lot to talk about. Mostly subtle line changes, references and a few key points of information that were cut out. I also went through Hidden Truths and Heirs of Fate to see if I could add stuff from those on here, but there were no big problems that I found.
Once again, the main part of this post will all be put under the cut. If a chapter isn’t covered, it means I didn’t think there were any differences worth talking about.
I’ll use localized names for characters and locations, unless I feel the need to do otherwise.
I’ll be using she/her when referring to Corrin in this post. (I flipped a coin to decide the gender lol)
Also, note that after Chapter 14, the translation of this route on Fateswartable ends, so I mostly relied on the English patch done by Serenes at that point forward. (I also used PegasusKnight.com as a reference to fall back on if I needed it)
Chapter 7
-A minor gripe I have with localization. The JP version compares Touma (Valla) to hell constantly. To jump ahead a bit, I believe in the JP versions of the End of All Sky/Land/Below tracks are even called The End of All Roads Heaven/Earth/Hell. The Vallites are also often called demons in the JP version, and Anankos himself is known as the ‘Invisible Demon Dragon’.
Another cool thing I just thought of too, is a connection to a popular Japanese short story. Zelda fans might be familiar with the story, “The Spider’s Thread”, which inspired the Ancient Cistern dungeon in Skyward Sword.
The beginning of the story has Buddha walking through paradise (heaven), before coming across a pond. The pond is filled with crystal clear water, and covered with water lilies/lotuses. As Buddha gazes further into the pond, he begins to see the depths of hell.
Sound familiar? “Azura is walking through Hoshido, before coming across a lake. The lake is filled with crystal clear water, and when she gazes into the lake she sees the fallen kingdom of her birth. Valla, the kingdom associated with water lilies/lotuses in the game, has been turned into hell itself.”
This association loses its meaning a bit when the comparisons to hell are a bit toned down, as well as when the Buddhist inspirations were kind of supplanted in favor of Greek renames. It’s not supremely important to the plot as a whole, but it’s something interesting I wanted to bring up.
-In the JP version, while explaining what happened in Valla, Azura eventually says “Using the art of manipulating people’s souls, he (Hydra/Anankos) made the people kill each other.” This bit of the people killing each other was cut in localization.
Chapter 12
-In the JP version, when Corrin asks Flora if she knows anything about dragons, Flora says “Sorry, I don’t know…The ancestral dragon of the Ice Clan has already perished and isn’t part of the legend. I don’t know what role it plays, sorry…” Localization makes her response “I'm sorry, but I can't think of anything... They've been gone so long that we don't even have tales of dragons in the Ice Tribe. I'm sorry I couldn't be of more assistance...”
So, the JP version explicitly says the Ice Dragon is dead (I believe Fates’ second artbook mentioned this as well), whereas the localization only says the First Dragons have been gone for a long time.
Chapter 16
-There’s not really much of a problem that I have with what Ryoma says about Corrin “having leadership qualities at a young age” but I wanted to do comparisons regardless cuz the word choice might lead one to different conclusions. In localization, Ryoma says this:
Ryoma: Huh... So she told us the same thing... I don't think it's in Corrin's nature to lie. And there's a leadership quality about her that just attracts followers. I remember being jealous of her as a child, in fact. Even at such a young age, she displayed the characteristics of a ruler. Silly to be jealous of her, right?
In the JP version, Ryoma says this:
Ryoma: Oh... So, she told you the same thing. …Corrin isn’t one to tell lies. She’s been like that since childhood. She’s always genuine and honest... She has this mysterious appeal that draws people to her. Seeing my younger sister with the qualities of being a ruler... Honestly, it makes me feel envious. …What a ridiculous thing to say, right?
Again, I don’t necessarily have a problem with how it was localized, but some might. The localization version might have people think that Corrin somehow was a fantastic leader at such a young age, but JP is more clear that it was about the qualities she had at a young age that would be valuable as a leader.
Chapter 19
-A minor gripe. In the localization, Azura says that Anankos uses his magic to send Vallites to Nohr and Hoshido to stir up conflict. In the JP version, she says he uses magic, along with the help of a body of water. That’s why whenever you fight Vallites outside of Valla proper, there’s a body of water nearby; Hoshido’s lake (and the ponds shown in Hinoka’s CQ battle which are in the capital) for Chapter 5, the sea for BR chapter 11, the burning falls for BR chapter 21, and the city for Rev chapter 13. Similarly, the consequences of being a victim to the curse are described as “turning into sea foam” in the JP version. Localization as a whole kind of toned down how much water has an influence on the story.
Chapter 23
-Probably the pettiest gripe I have lol. As Arete is fading away from Azura’s arms, Azura has a different reaction in localization and Japanese. In localization, Azura says “Mother? Mother!” while a voice clip of her in-battle pain cries plays. In the JP, she says “*Sob... Sob*…! Mother... Mother...!”, while a voice clip of her crying plays. Her crying voice clip I don’t recall hearing anywhere else.
This is one of the few times in the you get to see Azura express a heavy and heartfelt emotion, since her rough childhood caused her to remain guarded and stoic around everyone. The equivalents to this scene in other routes is her death scene in Birthright, and her crying with Corrin over Ryoma’s death in Conquest; a normally unflinching and aloof character breaking down is a rarity, and indicates that the cause of it is something to take note of for the character as a whole. Localization softened this aspect, and I take issue with it, despite it probably seeming trivial to most other people.
Chapter 24
-When Corrin is questioning the phantom Mikoto, an exchange happens. In localization, part of it goes like this:
Corrin: But this can't be... Are you truly my mother?
Mikoto: I am. Even as a puppet of Anankos, my spirit at least remains my own.
Corrin: I... I believe you.
In the JP version, it goes like this:
Corrin: It can’t be... …Are you really my mother?
Mikoto: Yes... I became an Invisible servant, controlled by the Invisible King... Even so, I am your mother.
Corrin: …………
Again, a minor thing that I don’t personally have issue with, but replacing Corrin’s silence with an admittance of belief could make some believe she has “reverted” back to being too naïve.
Chapter 26
-While Gunter is relaying his past, an exchange happens. In localization, it goes like this:
Gunter: I ask myself that, every day. I cannot understand the minds of royals. To you all, we commoners are little more than pawns in your schemes... Or weeds to be killed on a whim.
Corrin: That's not true...
Xander: Is that how people view the royalty?
Ryoma: Such an impression would easily breed powerful resentment...
In the JP version, Corrin, Xander and Ryoma don’t say anything. They just remain silent.
Endgame
-Not a major problem so much as a general thing about the game, but I can think of like... at least three memes that Treehouse inserted into the localization. Now I like memes, but there is no better way to date your media nowadays. One of them was Kana’s “That’s dragon for I love you” which tbh, is kind of cute and isn’t the most well known meme so I guess I can let it slide. Another is Felicia saying “I had one job!” when she messes up in the dining hall, which isn’t that big of a deal since the dining hall is very optional.
The last one I can think of is why I put this specific grievance here, and it’s during Corrin’s speech before facing Anankos.
Corrin: We won't back down! This is my... This is our destiny! Ready your weapons! Fight for your friends! With the Seal of Flames... With the Fire Emblem on our side! We fight for our world!!
Yeah, she says “Fight for your friends” which is everyone’s favorite Ike line from Brawl. Now, this isn’t even a totally inaccurate translation either, but it kind of just... makes the moment funny for the player when it’s supposed to be commanding and serious I guess.
But yeah, not the most important issue by far, but something I’d thought to mention. Hell, it’s not even that bad compared to how they made Peri’s, Effie’s and Hisame’s quirks into exaggerated and tired jokes. And the Beruka-Saizo support. Never forget.
-When Azura and Corrin are by the lake and discuss the latter’s plans to rule, Corrin says this in localization:
Corrin: I'm going to make Valla a wonderful place! In honor of the true last king and for Queen Arete. And everyone who fought... I promise to make them all proud.
In the JP version, she says this:
Corrin: I’ll make the Invisible Kingdom (Valla) into a great land. For the previous monarch, Queen Shenmei (Arete)… And for all of my allies who fought beside me. I promise.
So, JP version only mentions Arete as the reigning monarch of Valla. Which makes sense, cuz unless there was some wild “keeping the bloodline pure” shenanigans in Valla, Arete being the Queen keeps in line with what we know about the rest of Valla’s history. Arete was royalty from birth, as was her sister Mikoto. Arete is the one who passed down Lost in Thoughts and the pendant to Azura.

IOTA Reviews: Truth
Hey. Hey guys. Remember when I said I was feeling optimistic about this season? God, that was funny, wasn't it?
Let's just... Let's just get into the actual first episode of Miraculous Ladybug's fourth season: Truth.
We start off with Gabriel repairing the damaged Peacock Miraculous, which also restores Duusu's sanity, before he quickly gives it a test run by transforming with both it and the Butterfly Miraculous.
And good lord, the result looks atrocious. This is the design for the new and improved Hawkmoth? First off, the peacock feather eyepatch looks stupid. Is he trying to be the Phantom of the Opera? When Mayura had the same thing, it didn't completely cover her eye and matched her color scheme. It just doesn't match with this new design here. Other than the feather, the peacock aesthetic is barely visible here. The most we get is a peacock feather pattern on the back of his jacket. And then there's the popped collar and coattails, which only look more ridiculous than menacing. What made the original Hawkmoth design work was how sleek it was. It was simplistic, which reflected Gabriel's no-nonense personality. This just looks gaudy and unnecessary. How was this right after the amazing suit the animators gave Dragonbug?
So after Gabriel designs another stupid looking outfit, we cut to Marinette, who's still trying to figure out how the Miracle Ball works. She accidentally opens it, letting the Kwamis out, who wreak havoc on her room because Marinette suffering is going to be a big part of this episode. This just raises the question: Why can't Marinette simply order them back into the box like Su-Han did, or rather, is going to do? It's still not established what gives the Guardians authority over the Kwamis in the first place.
Two of the Kwamis accidentally start a video chat with her friends, leading to some more Unfunny Marinette Slapstick. But Alya thinks something's up with her friend.
youtube
Has Marinette even told Alya she's already in a relationship? Like, at all? It feels like all Alya is there for now is to remind the audience that Marinette and Adrien are “meant to be”, even if they're both in relationships right now. It's either that, or teasing Marinette over her crush and doing nothing to help her anxiety.
Marinette accidentally ends the call, before Luka calls to thank her for the pictures of Adrien one of the Kwamis accidentally sent him. Yeah, even though he barely appears in this episode (barring his scenes at Cat Noir), they're going to talk about Adrien a lot. Marinette continues to stammer around Luka (once again making fun of people who have speech issues), but Luka, being the ray of sunshine in any abysmal episode he's in, is completely understanding of it. He also sets up a pretty funny joke.
Apparently, Marinette missed her last date with Luka yesterday to see a movie that was re-released, Crocodile Heart, that was actually Jagged Stone's first movie. I wonder if it's connected to Crocodile Dundee.
While walking to the movie, Luka and Marinette play a game finishing the lyrics of a Jagged Stone song, establishing the former as a huge fan of the rock star. Before we can actually get an on-screen kiss for Lukanette, Mr. Pigeon attacks yet again, because I guess he's the first villain Hawkmoth wants to use in his new form.
Cat Noir sneaks up on Ladybug, causing her to accidentally throw him off a building before catching him, chastising him for the stupid jokes, yet Ladybug has to apologize for missing patrol with her partner, who casually acknowledges her new status as Guardian before the two go and fight Mr. Pigeon.
By the time they defeat him, the movie ends as Marinette gets back, disappointing Luka. We then get a montage of Marinette bailing on Luka multiple times to stop Akumas and Sentimonsters. To his credit, Luka is seriously torn up by all the times Marinette leaves him, showing he isn't just a calm soul.
After Marinette gets back, Luka takes her underneath a bridge to listen to the echoing sound of the water. Luka says that he never knew his father, and he would always go here to relax whenever he got stressed. He uses this to segue into asking Marinette where she constantly disappears to. He doesn't pressure her or anything like Alya, and he even says that if she still loves Adrien, he'll understand. He only asks for the truth. Unfortunately, Marinette can't tell him the truth, which just breaks the poor boy's heart.
Hawkmoth, now calling himself Shadowmoth, sends out an Akuma and an Amok for Luka at the same time, corrupting a guitar pick signed by Jagged Stone that Marinette gave him. And again, to Luka's credit, he fights back against Shadowmoth's influence at first, saying he trusts Marinette, but the temptation of knowing the truth is too good to pass up. He tells Marinette to run before being akumatized into Truth, assisted by the Sentimonster Pharro.
Truth's design is... pretty forgettable. The guitar pick being prominent around his neck is a nice touch, but it's just a generic black bodysuit with light blue highlights, and he has a third eye instead of a visible mouth. Pharro is also pretty boring, just a giant eye that freezes people in place so Truth can use his powers to make them tell the truth.
So Truth goes back to where everyone else was hanging out before he was akumatized and asks Alya to tell him the truth about Marinette.
Yeah, he's right, Alya. That's what you believe. We're supposed to treat Alya saying Marinette loves Adrien as an unbiased source. Truth asks Rose, Mylene, Tom, and Sabine what Marinette's secret is in this episode, and they all say she's in love with Adrien. That isn't actually the truth. It's like asking an atheist if there is a God. You know what they believe is the truth, but you don't know if that answer is actually the truth. Why not have them reveal other secrets about Marinette, giving the audience subtle character details? Like the writers could make someone say stuff like she still sleeps with a nightlight on, or that she secretly gets cookies from another bakery.
You know what also would have worked? Instead, have Truth catch Marinette before she transforms into Ladybug, ask who she actually loved, and then she'll blurt out Adrien's name, shocking both her and Luka. This could also make Ladybug's confidence in herself waver throughout the episode, wondering if she actually loved Luka at all. That would have been much better drama than what we're going to get instead.
Ladybug charges in to stop Truth, but is zapped by his truth ray, meaning she'll be forced to tell the truth when asked any question. Before she can admit her identity, Cat Noir saves her by retreating with her into the Seine, before reassuring Ladybug that he wouldn't force her to tell the truth by force. It's a nice bit that does show he respects Ladybug's secret, a far cry from his behavior in episodes like “Syren” and “Frozer”. Truth turns his attention to his mother Anarka, and asks who his father is.
youtube
Yes. Seriously. This is happening. Luka's father is actually Jagged Stone. I have... mixed feelings regarding this development, but my biggest question is, well... they're doing this now? They couldn't save this for another episode? I mean, was focusing on Luka and Marinette's relationship (something that had been established since Season 2) not good enough of a plot for the writers? Why shoehorn in this plot development? Why not save this part as a teaser for a future episode? You know, have Luka walk home, and remember what he made his mother say as Truth, setting up an episode focusing on his relationship with Jagged Stone.
But no! Instead, we're just supposed to go along with the plot taking a detour. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I don't want Jagged Stone to appear in this episode.
Truth heads over to the hotel where Jagged Stone lives and asks him if he's actually his father, the latter admitting that Anarka was right. Truth naturally isn't happy.
Well, to be fair, it's still a better title than his first drafts, like “It's Not My Fault the Condom Broke”, or “Up Yours, I'm Not Paying the Child Support, Bitch”.
Honestly, I can get what the writers are going for, and I like the idea of them trying to give some depth to a character who was mostly used for comic relief in earlier episodes. The problem is, as much as they want to portray Jagged as regretful for walking out on his family, it still doesn't excuse him for never even bothering to check in on his children and their mother while writing a song about it. He doesn't even bother to give some money to the person he knocked up.
I'm not saying a conflicted relationship like this can't work in animation (a decent example being Steven Universe slowly growing to resent his mother for her time as Pink Diamond and believing his birth was an excuse for her to avoid responsibility), but you need to put more emotion into this. I don't come from a broken home, but if it turned out my dad was, let's say, “Weird Al” Yankovic, even if I enjoy his music, I wouldn't be happy that he decided to come back now of all times without so much as a “hello”.
Truth goes to Marinette's house/bakery, and starts looking for Marinette's diary to find out her secrets. It's almost like the minor plotline that he has a deadbeat dad was only there to eat up airtime. Ladybug is still affected by Truth's powers, and not long after she summons her Lucky Charm, Cat Noir is zapped too, so he starts asking questions that basically amount to complimenting certain qualities he and Ladybug have. When Ladybug asks him what he thinks about her being Guardian, Cat Noir says nothing's changed between them. It's a nice strategy, very reminiscent of when they had to talk in rhyme when fighting Frightengale. I'm also glad they aren't trying to play up Cat Noir not feeling as important immediately now that his partner has access to top secret information.
Cat Noir Cataclysms Pharro, but rather than destroying the Sentimonster, it causes it to go out of control, accidentally paralyzing Truth with some manipulation from her and Cat Noir. Ladybug then de-evilizes both the Akuma and Amok, defeating Truth.
Marinette struggles to find the words to explain things to Luka, but he says that he'll be waiting for her when she's ready. While walking back to his houseboat, Luka runs into Jagged Stone, who promises to write a song together with him. Because I guess Shadowmoth was kind enough of him to not erase that part of his memory. And of course, Luka just accepts this despite the fact that Jagged was absent from his entire life.
So according to this show, you shouldn't bother to give mean people a second chance, but it's okay to give your deadbeat dad a second chance without harboring any negative feelings? I'm sorry, but I just don't see the point of shoving in this subplot if you're barely going to do anything with it before coming to a resolution. If there was more detail put into it, like if Luka just angrily lashed out at Jagged for abandoning his mom, I would have been more open to it. But in the end, this major character revelation is nothing more than filler the episode doesn't need.
We cut to what I'm surprised doesn't happen at the end of every episode given how much crap she gets, Marinette crying in her bed, saying it's too dangerous to have a boyfriend thanks to Shadowmoth. One of the Kwamis apparently doesn't know what crying is, so Marinette asks them to give her a hug, and the showrunners really need to find another song to play at the end, because the upbeat song playing doesn't go with Marinette crying at all. Imagine if this song played at the end of Deep Space Nine's “In the Pale Moonlight” when Captain Sisko confessed to basically being an accessory to the murder of an alien ambassador. It'd be tonally jarring, wouldn't it?
Even the ending image doesn't feature Luka and Marinette together. Instead, he's hugging it out with Deadbeat Stone like everything's okay.
So yeah, that's how the episode ends. In case you couldn't tell, I thought it was awful.
Remember in my New York Special review, where I theorized that Astruc rewrote it to focus more on Adrienette to stop people from shipping Lukanette? I have another theory that I also want to be taken with a grain of salt. I think this episode might have also been rewritten a little to follow up on that. I mean, why else would Astruc spend two seasons building up Luka's relationship with Marinette only to rip it away the episode after they officially get together? It would also explain why it feels like there's two separate episodes going on with how shoehorned in Jagged Stone is.
But other than that, this episode managed to screw up the one thing I was actually looking forward to about this season, seeing Marinette together with Luka. Even if they were going to break up, I was hoping there would at least be a character arc for Marinette where she realizes what she truly wants in a relationship isn't with Luka, leading into a relationship with Adrien where she feels more confident in herself. I was at least hoping their relationship would last more than A SINGLE EPISODE.
In fact, remember that tweet Astruc made soon after the New York Special, defending Marinette and Adrien essentially cheating on Luka and Kagami respectively?
What exactly was so complicated about Season 4 when you're immediately going to break up a couple you spent two seasons building up? Astruc's predictions are about as accurate as Uri Geller.
And then there's the fact that all everyone talks about this episode is Adrien. Marinette's wall is covered with pictures of him, Alya thinks her friend's abnormal behavior is because Adrien's in the room with her, Luka somehow knows Marinette loves Adrien and is actually cool with it, and everyone else thinks that it's her biggest secret. How convenient is it that all of this happens when barring his scenes as Cat Noir, Adrien doesn't appear in this episode barring a five second cameo?
When I was writing this episode, I saw a tweet Astruc made addressing a question someone posed, asking why Adrien didn't get as much screentime in the recent Shanghai Special. He said that “history does not revolve around him”.
youtube
For the love of God, writers, just give Marinette a plotline that doesn't revolve around her feelings for Adrien for once. People already started to get sick of it halfway through last season. Either have her confess and make the Love Square canon, or stop letting it dominate the main story for once. Why can't the writers just let her move on from Adrien for more than a single episode? Give her a goddamn break already.
I once again have to ask: what was the point of building up a relationship between Luka and Marinette since Season 2, if you're just going to break them up the second they get together? Why make a big deal about Marinette's conflicted feelings for both Adrien and Luka if you're just going to ignore her feelings for the latter in favor of the former? And remember, chronologically, this was right after the end of Chloe's “damnation arc”, another plotline that had been built up since Season 2 only to be aborted in favor of “sUbVeRtInG tHe AuDiEnCe'S eXpEcTaTiOnS”. It feels like the writers are trying to punish people for getting emotionally invested in any storyline that doesn't relate to the holy pairing that is the Love Square.
This episode is just frustrating to watch. Part of me knew Marinette and Luka were going to break up, but I didn't think it would be this bad, and it would be so soon. I'm glad they're on somewhat good terms, and I liked the buildup to Luka realizing Marinette might not trust him, but the timing of this episode is what baffles me the most. Is it any wonder I think Astruc may have rewritten this episode?
If any Lukanette shippers need to recover, I'd recommend checking out @mc-lukanette. They have some wholesome one-shots and fix-it fics for some of the weaker episodes of the series. In fact, she already wrote a fix-it to this abysmal episode that’s so much better than what we got.

Another line is drawn right through the words he tried to write. Luke wants to throw his notebook at the wall. He can’t think, or write, the words just aren’t coming to him anymore. He claws at his hair as if pulling on the strands will allow his brain to breathe and come up with the lyrics he had been trying to write for the past two hours. It used to be so easy but he knows why it isn’t working. It wasn’t rocket science.
The words came easy when he was with you, maybe it was the excitement of having someone to write with, or maybe it was the emotions that you both pulled from. It just wasn’t the same anymore. It’s almost like you were the inspiration, the lyrics, and now that you were no longer there, the lyrics weren’t either. Even if you guys didn’t know each other that long and you weren’t the closest, you guys seemed to click and you wrote so much better with each other.
Maybe he just needs a breather. That’s what Luke banks on, that once he goes outside and caught wind of the fresh air, the words will come back. He places down his guitar and his pen and sets out for outside.
Before long, he finds himself sitting on the back porch, one knee up next to his chest and the other splayed in front of him. His eyes are trained upon the dark sky, watching the stars. He barely hears the quiet footsteps that approach him but he sees them sit down beside him, knees up to their chest, hugging them.
“Carrie,” Luke acknowledges, not even looking towards his step-sister when he breaks the silence between the two.
“Luke.”
They fall back into another silence for a few moments, simply watching the stars together. However, Luke’s attention isn’t really on the stars anymore as he thinks about the girl beside him. He remembered when his mom first told him that she was getting remarried and that he was going to get a step-sister. He remembers when they met, and Carrie was just a little too entitled for his taste, and Luke was a little too “street” for hers. They didn’t exactly get off on the best foot, and there were times that there was still some friction in their relationship which certainly wasn’t helped when Luke joined Julie and the Phantoms, but there were times that they were okay; when they shared a sibling bond.
It was hard for both of them to get used to each other, and their parents getting married. For Luke, it had been just him and his mom for a while, so he couldn’t help but feel apprehensive for this new life, not only for him to have a new step-dad and step-sister, but in case this man hurt his mom too. Yet, for Carrie it was different, it had always just been her and Trevor after her mom died during labor. She didn’t know what it was like having a mom, and she didn’t know if she wanted it. Arguably, she was scared; scared that her dad would no longer have time for her and would be spending it all with Emily but that definitely wasn’t the case.
Actually, everything worked out quite well, and soon enough Luke and Emily were moving into the Wilson’s household. It was a strange experience for Luke like he was invited into a whole other world. They came from very different backgrounds, Luke and Emily had never been well off, but Carrie never had to worry about not being able to pay the bills or anything to do with that, so their personalities were quite different. Yet, over the past few weeks, they had become significantly closer and spent more time talking to each other. Luke would show Carrie the songs you guys wrote, and Carrie would show Luke the choreography that you guys had been working on.
They knew exactly why they had become closer, they weren’t stupid. It was all because of you, you were their common ground. You brought the two siblings together.
“You miss her,” Luke comments, breaking the everlasting silence as he glances over at his sister. She isn’t facing the sky anymore and is instead looking down at her legs. It’s been two weeks since you and Carrie fought, where Carrie kicked you out of Dirty Candy, and she hadn’t spoken to you since.
Carrie is quiet for a few moments, almost as if she is battling herself on whether or not she should answer Luke, but she does, quietly, “Of course I do, she’s my best friend.”
A silence fills the air yet again, and Luke doesn’t know whether or not to answer Carrie. The girl has never actually opened up to him before, so for her to tell him that she was missing you was something that was new territory for the both of them. He knew that she missed you, you would have to be insane not to and he was pretty sure this was the longest that Carrie had ever gone without talking to you, so it was like life had been shifted entirely.
“You miss her too,” It’s a simple statement that Carrie makes, but it makes Luke sigh. He does, of course he does. He can’t even write without you.
“She won’t pick up my calls,” Luke says, ducking his head down as he traces the patterns on the ground of the porch. At this rate, he’s probably called you like twenty times in the last week but he always gets sent to voicemail. He knows it’s intentional, but every time he picks up his phone and presses the dial button, there’s a part that hopes you’ll pick up; that you’ll come over and wrote songs with him.
“I won’t pick up hers either,” Carrie admits, biting her lip as she continues to watch the sky, “The dirty candy girls have been bashing her, for putting the band in second place. I just want to scream at them to stop.”
“You should, it isn’t y/n’s fault. She was on her way to the studio that day but I dragged her up to my room. She lost her best friend for just helping me out with a dumb song.”
Carrie knows that Luke feels guilt for all of this. All three of them are miserable without each other and they all know it. Yet, they’re all filled with too much pride to apologize, or even to pick up one another’s calls. They know that they can’t go on like this, because as it goes on they all just feel worse and worse, but no one seems willing to make the first move.
“She always goes out her way to help others, huh?” Carrie says, reminiscing on the number of people that you have helped in the time that you guys have been friends. She remembers the way you give the Dirty Candy girls your water and snacks when they forgot theirs, meaning that you would often to without, helping old people cross the street and just being generally helpful.
You were always so eager to help anyone and everyone, no matter who it was, and that was something that Carrie always admired about you, “Most helpful person I know.”
After Luke’s statement, they are enveloped in another silence, both watching the sky peacefully before a shooting star flies overhead. They don’t speak of it, simply enjoying one another’s company which isn’t something they often find themselves doing. Deep down, they both like each other’s company, and each other, but they never say anything, both too stubborn to do so.
After a few more minutes, Luke gets up, lightly patting his sister on the shoulder, “You should answer her calls, Car.”
. . .
Being a waitress was actually surprisingly fun for you. Normally, you enjoyed serving customers, interacting with people and it was a way to get some extra money. However, right now you wanted nothing less than to be out of here, despite having hours left of your shift; in fact, you had just started.
Normally, customers were respectful and nice, but this one...this one was testing your limits. What made it worse, was that it was none other than Kayla, Carrie’s replace best friend for you and she was shouting, trying to embarrass you in front of not only the customers but in front of your colleagues as well. She’s with a few other friends, but Carrie isn’t there.
Passing you a smirk, she wipes her hand across the table, purposefully making the cutlery drop, “Pick it up, waitress.”
The rest of her group snicker as you try to hold the embarrassed blush that rises to your face. Closing your eyes momentarily, you sigh, “Kayla, I know I haven’t been the best band member but-”
“I don’t think you get it, y/n,” Kayla cuts you off, standing up and walking right in front of you, “Carrie has already told you that you’re done. I hope you would at least have a bit of dignity and to accept that instead of coming begging to me after Carrie didn’t pick up your calls.”
After she says that, Carrie obnoxiously chews on her gum, the other girls snickering. Looking around at them, their eyes on you as they laughed let you clearly know that you were no longer friends with any of the Dirty Candy girls. They were only friends with you to get in with Carrie and it makes you feel dumb that you didn’t realize that beforehand.
“Pathetic,” Kayla spits, looking up and down at the sight of your ducked head.
“Hey, watch it would you Kayla? I think you forget that even though Carrie is annoyed at y/n right now, as soon as she gets over that y/n will be right where she belongs in Dirty Candy again and as Carrie’s best friend,” Julie speaks up from the booth beside them, eyes squinting at the girl, “I think you’re letting this all go to your head too much.”
“You have no idea what Carrie is like, Julie. Plus, even if you told her that I was being a bitch to y/n she won’t listen to you,” Kayla snorts, rolling her eyes at the other girl.
“She’ll listen to her brother though, and we all know that he’ll believe me over you,” Julie responds sassily, Alex and Reggie who were beside her sharing glances. Often, they didn’t like to get involved in drama, and Julie didn’t either but just hearing how these girls were treating you made them feel horrible.
“Whatever,” Kayla says, rolling her eyes again before standing up, “Let's go girls, there seems to be a loser convention going on in here right now.”
Kayla doesn’t seem to be embarrassed, but you know well enough that she is getting out of there before she shows it. The girls are quick to follow behind her, all brushing you off and acting better than you as they pass.
Yet, you don’t pay attention to them for long as you turn towards the girl, giving her a small smile, “Thanks, Julie.”
“No problem, y/n,” Julie smiles, turning her head towards you sweetly. Noticing Alex and Reggie looking at you, you give them a shy wave and a smile before your attention is turned back towards Julie, “Can you do me a favor?”
“Of course, what’s up?” You’re prepared to take Julie’s order, considering that is what you expected her to want you to do but what she says next surprises you.
“Don’t be too hard on Luke, he really didn’t mean to get in between you and Carrie. And we just wanted to say that even if you don’t get back in with Dirty Candy, our band will always be open for you.”
. . .
It’s much later in the night, the café empty apart from you, humming softly a tune from a song you can’t remember the name of. You’re dancing a little as you give the tables one last wipe down before making your way behind the counter again. It was your turn to lock up for the night, the other waitresses already away home but you actually liked it when it was like this.
You didn’t even have the lights on as you took of your small apron-like thing and hung it up. Reaching for the keys, you stop when you hear the bell ringing, signaling that someone had entered the shop. Could they not read the closed sign?
“Sorry, we’re closed right now-” You say, whirling around and meeting hazel eyes, voice cutting off when you saw who was standing there. Clearing your throat, you shift awkwardly between two feet, “Luke.”
“Hey y/n,” Luke says softly, his hair is messy under his navy colored beanie, but you know you can’t talk, yours probably looks a lot worse. He takes a step towards you before speaking again, his voice still soft, “We need to talk.”

Ikevamp headcanons after watching Hamilton
Quick disclaimer: Yes I know this is a show about people who had owned slaves and slavery is bad. Having said that there's a reason why we suspend disbelief for a couple of hours and just allow ourselves to be swept into the story. I also love Phantom of the Opera but I also am aware that this is a story that involves an abusive and toxic relationship. The point is that I am aware that there are problems that needs to be discussed, but I still love the music, the story and the shows okay. This is just fan content not meant to be taken seriously and is just for fun. Okay? Now let's proceed.
I'll be doing Will and Arthur first since I'm currently doing Shakespeare's route and was inspired to do this after MC watches Romeo and Juliet with Vincent and I was wondering how Will would react to watching Hamilton. And Arthur is here because he is my husband/main lover. I might do Mozart and Napoleon next.
SPOILER ALERT: For anyone who hasn't seen the Disney Plus version of Hamilton, there might be some spoilers here (unless you already saw the show or know the story that is).
General Scenario:
You don't know how but Le Comte was able to get the filmed version of Hamilton, a musical which you've told Sebastian that you've been dying to see but was never able to because tickets were always sold out and entering the lottery was going to be a little too expensive for someone who lives in Japan and who doesn't exactly have the money or the time to simply fly to New York if in case she won. You were also excited because apparently Le Comte was able to modify the 21st century tech room that you use for your online classes and was able to get a wide screen and high quality surround sound which made you appreciate his efforts. A part of you was also curious as to how the other residents would react. You were scared that some of them might take offense, especially Napoleon who knew one of the characters in the show in real life. Would they react weirdly for seeing people different from them portray people that they knew? You were also wondering if they might even appreciate some of the 21st century slang that you and Sebastian would sometimes slip back into whenever it was just the two of you alone. After talking it out with everyone and explaining a few more things (like how its probably going to be different since it is a series of captured pictures-or at least that's your closest analogy- being played super fast with the synchronized sound of the actors- or what you were almost tempted to call "Techno Magic") during a dinner in which Shakespeare had decided to be present in, they were actually interested in what this show is about. Napoleon convinced you that he's fine and actually someone else playing Lafayette might even help with the suspension of disbelief since its been awhile since he has last met him anyway. Will even mentioned that while he has read and heard about stories from America, this is probably going to be the first story or production he's going to see from it. The only one who showed any hesitation - to no one's surprise - was Mozart, since he is attached to the kind of music he is familiar with (aren't we all?). But after prodding from both Jean, Le Comte and you giving him the puppy eyes, he finally relents. The day comes when everyone was once again free and for practicality everyone decided to have a meal first so that they won't be hungry during the show and also for you, Le Comte, and Sebastian to explain a few things everyone else may need to know to truly appreciate the show (like how the Presidential system and elections worked during the setting, what the word "Rewind" means, what is beatboxing, etc). So finally everyone gathered into the tech room after the meal, the lights were dimmed and once everyone was settled, you hit play. And as self-predicted of you, you find yourself crying in the end.
William Shakespeare (I'm still doing his route so please don't hate me if I get him wrong. Also no spoilers please).
- He was a bit shocked at first by how exactly up close you could see the facial expressions of the actors as well as the various ways it would cut to another person. He could now understand why you struggled with trying to explain how its played in a theatre but not exactly like the theatrical experience. But as you saw in your periphery, by the time Philippa Soo sings her first line, Will had already adjusted and allowed himself to be an audience and shut off his director and actor mindset (for the most part at least).
- While he didn't specialize in musicals, he found himself paying attention to the story of "the ten dollar founding father without a father." He knows how music could help both the actors and the audience in succumbing to their emotions in a scene and to suspend disbelief from reality. In his productions the words are not overwhelmed by any score but rather complemented to bring out the emotion he wants to evoke and for actors to show. Since many parts of the show has been influenced by the spoken word style without completely removing it from being sung, he has become enlightened with how powerful a show can be when it is done right.
- He not only enjoyed the story (especially the flow of it) and the production (especially some of the more technical details that the other residents hadn't noticed as far as a stage production is concerned), he loved that even the ensemble members had good acting and some of the onstage humor. One of the meta things he enjoyed was the obvious reference to his most superstitious work.
- Once you've seen how he loves analyzing the technical details of the production, you excitedly tell him about a special member of the ensemble who is known as "The bullet" among fans of the show. You could see him being enlightened as he watches the show with you again (this time with just the two of you) and he now sees "the bullet" and the way she interacts with the characters in a whole different light. He was so impressed with this idea that he may have adapted it into one of his new original plays (its not a copy paste of Hamilton's "bullet" but he definitely adapted assigning a member of the ensemble to have a special role that may not be significant at first, but he heavily notes that this member would have to be unique in interacting with any of the other characters).
- He didn't know what to expect from a 21st Century production but he found himself impressed with the prose and writing of various raps and songs. His favorite from Act 1 in terms of rhyme schemes was "Right Hand Man" and from Act 2 it was Jefferson's rap in "Washington by your side". And after settling down a bit his favorite emotional parts were "History has its eyes on you", "Hurricane", and "It's quiet uptown".
- He was impressed with how the double roles was given and how it actually is true for both of their roles in both acts. Ambiguity is one of his favorite things to have in a work, and he gives props to Lin for all the ambiguity he later realizes was in several parts of the show. If he and Arthur had been a little bit more closer, they probably would have bonded over the ambiguity Hamilton's comma in his letter to Angelica (see kids, grammar matters).
- A part of his brain wonders how the real life Hamilton would react to this and if him and Burr would still be enemies. But after some thinking he decides its not worth his efforts of asking anyone to bring them back since a wonderful production of their life has already been made even if it may not necessarily reflect who they truly are. He of all people knew what it's like to be inspired by great figures, it was fortunate that Lin Manuel Miranda decided to make a show about them before he had the chance to.
- You explain that in America Hamilton is one of the lesser known founding fathers of their nation and how it may be because his political opponents later on became Presidents and therefore was able to form the narrative. He becomes inspired by it and begins to search out people or stories who are hidden gems who may not be historically famous but had much more interesting stories than some of the ones he has heard of.
- Afterwards once you are sure that he has gotten comfortable enough with the genre you show him various videos of people rapping to his works and his reactions range from impressed to amused to "that's not what I mean when I wrote that" and you had to calm him down and explain that they can't hear him anyway after he started giving serious critiques on what the text means.
Arthur Conan Doyle
- While he was knowledgeable about many things, America's founding fathers was not one of them. He along with the other residents have gotten used to any rumors or exaggerated accounts of their lives and you and Sebastian have already warned that this is just a fictionalized production of the real person. As a writer of some historical fiction books he argued that he of all people was aware that any work based on history will speak more about the creators rather than the actual people they are writing about most of the time. He was nevertheless interested as to why you have become fascinated with the treasury secretary (and maybe it was with a twinge of jealousy that you began to expressly show admiration to another man even if he wasn't among the residents in the mansion). After all unlike many other residents of the mansion, on the surface it seemed that Hamilton was similar to Theo who mainly played a supporting but crucial role to his brother. He was thankful that you didn't hold it against him and was comforted that you were in a similar place. You even told him that the only thing you really knew about Hamilton before listening to the soundtrack and watching "Animatics" was that he was in the ten dollar American bill.
- And as someone who has delved into writing historical fictions, this was probably one of the most entertaining productions about a historical figure he has seen. He's going to be honest with you in that at first he was wondering if revealing Burr shot Hamilton in the opening was going to hinder him from enjoying the show; but he was pleasantly surprised that this was not the case at all. As a matter of fact it now made him want to find out who the real Hamilton was (although a part of him doubts if the real Hamilton had any regrets at all). According to him, this is why as a fictionalized historical work, the show is a success because it makes you want to find out more about the events and figures of the story (even if it means looking at darker realities that they did). And while the real Hamilton may be a lot different from what was shown, with all the things he went through and all the things he has done (for better or worse), he now wonders why exactly Le Comte hadn't approached him since he seems to be no better or worse than the average resident ("He and Newt could probably discuss mathematics all day."). You then explained that his political rivals (Jefferson and Madison from the show, and Monroe who wasn't shown in the musical) had later on become Presidents and was able to shape the narrative away from Hamilton. "Ron Chernow made Hamilton's biography because he was the lesser known founding father who was fading into obscurity among Americans and Lin read the book and recognized the story of someone who has risen through his writings. And to Lin that was also the story of hiphop." While he wasn't involved in politics as much as Hamilton was, Arthur had enough experience to know what it feels like to have those kinds of people in power. He also knows just how powerful it is to be in "the room where it happened" and how sometimes the real decisions weren't being made in an office but rather in either a private party or the right bar when people in power had their guard down and were more susceptible to being influenced.
- He could relate a lot with Hamilton on many things that he's only comfortable allowing either you or Theo to see. From being just so much more aware of death's inevitability coming for every living thing to survivor's guilt even though a part of him knows its irrational (but sometimes the emotional nonsense just overtakes our perspectives and actions). It's why he could understand Hamilton's need to write as much as he can before he dies. It's why for a time in his human life he had deviated from writing about Holmes and ventured into other genres. He could also relate to the need to prove what type of person he was, and how to go beyond his tragedies to serve people in their own ways. Hamilton did it as a soldier and the creator of America's financial system. And he is doing it as an informally practicing doctor and as a writer. It's a need that he's trying to mitigate since you've repeatedly told him that he doesn't need to prove anything to you or to anyone and to write whatever he pleases. But he also can't deny that it's still somewhere lodged in the back of his head.
- Just like William Shakespeare, in terms of the wordplay found in rap and the ambiguity present in the show and how those things were executed made him amazed and momentarily speechless. He was especially fanboying about "The comma after dearest" and how this essentially shows how important grammar was. It went to the extent that afterwards whenever he would write to you he would address you either as "My dearest, Y/N" or "My darling, Y/N" with special emphasis on the comma (sometimes you could see how there's more ink in the comma than some of the actual words. That's how much he wants to emphasize that you hold the title of dearest or darling). And you excitedly share with him some of the trivia knowledge of the show (like how in real life it was Angelica who originally made the comma mistake by writing to Hamilton as "My dear, sir" in one of her letters and it was Hamilton who was asking her what the comma means and even replied with "Ma chere, soeur") and how Angelica really did reference the Icarus metaphor in one of her letters to Eliza. And even though he wasn't a major musical nerd (he sang for fun), he would now join you in watching Howard Ho's Hamilton videos musically analyzing Hamilton (and would probably try to find a way to use this knowledge to annoy Mozart in some way).
- Speaking of music: Maybe it's because he's biased in his love for you but aside from Sebastian he's probably the one who has no qualms about the hiphop genre and was immediately into the various wordplays that rapping allowed. And because of this his favorite characters in terms of rapping are the ones played by Daveed Diggs (probably more than Hamilton himself even though you've explained that Lin is the one who wrote the whole thing). He even adapts to how Daveed as Jefferson would say Isaac's third law and incorporated it into his "let's tease Newton" kit. That's when you know he really loves Daveed Diggs ("Every action has an equal opposite -" "WILL YOU PLEASE STOP SAYING IT THAT WAY?! I didn't mind the first few times but this is ridiculous Arthur" "It must be nice, it must be nice to have a Newton on your side"). And his favorite character emotionally was Angelica (her raps in Schuyler Sisters and Satisfied may have helped).
- Speaking of the Schuyler Sisters, after watching it with you another time (this time with just the two of you) one of his favorite things to say is that you've got the best of all three sisters within you (Angelica's wittiness and intelligence, Eliza's cares for the more important things in life, and Peggy's humor) with the sexiness of Maria Reynolds. But because he sees all 4 of them in you he has the benefit of not needing to choose among them. Having said that there will be a period wherein he teases you if he makes you "Helpless" or "Satisfied" (and you respond either by kissing him or singing "That would be enough").
- Whenever you would sing as one of the Schuyler sisters he will join you as any of the male characters the moment he masters the soundtrack and could even sing it without the music. His favorite rap songs are "Guns and Ships", "Washington on your side", and of course "Satisfied". He also really loves "Non-stop", "the 10 duel commandments", and "The room where it happened". But his favorite sequence is from "the Winter's Ball" all the way to "Wait for it". Since it has romance, a shocking revelation, and gives insight to the perspective of the antagonist. He's also one of the first people to attempt to learn the choreography whenever he's in one of his mental blocks in writing. Of course he makes sure not to injure himself.
- He posts song lyrics to keep himself motivated in his times of mental block "There's a million things I haven't done. But just you wait" and "I'm not throwing away my shot" frequently appear around his desk.
-And whenever he's feeling low or insecure, just like Eliza you remind him to "Look around, Look around, how lucky we are to be alive right now."

WRITTEN WORDS & WHISPERED WISHES | Julie and The Phantoms - Luke Patterson
.•´¯`•..•´¯`•..•´¯`•..•´¯`•..•´¯`•..•´¯`•..•´¯`•..•´¯`•.
Author’s Note: I wrote this fic for an old fandom of mine and thought I could re-write/re-use it to finally get started on my JaTP bingo card (because my creativity and originality are nowhere to be found) - I hope you enjoy, yet I’m still sorry in advance? (song’s Poet by Bastille but slightly adapted by me)
word count: 1.9k
prompt: ‘Song Fic’ on my @jatpbingo bingo card
summary: It took several sleepless nights, days of throwing up and feeling bad and the pressure of cuddling with Luke to finally discover that you were pregnant.
warnings: teen pregnancy, character death, a very hastly scribbeled down fic idea (this was not beta read (or read over in general) so typos, inconsistent grammar and other faboulous little annoyances (if anyone loves to read my fanfics and would like to volunteer as my beta reader I’ll kiss your feet))
.•´¯`•..•´¯`•..•´¯`•..•´¯`•..•´¯`•..•´¯`•..•´¯`•..•´¯`•.
It had been a few weeks since you, well... since you had seen another room rather than your classrooms and your own four walls. You even missed your kitchen and living room. But especially, you missed the boys' studio.
Today, however, has been a good day. You had managed to eat properly without feeling sick and were starting to catch up on some shortly due essays, papers and homework assignments, so you wouldn’t need to do them when feeling utterly sick again.
Luke had come to visit you (or tried to) a few times, needing to use his charm at your door, as you told your parents that you didn’t want him to see you. Your hair was a mess and unkempt, it pained you to stand for a long period of time (so you reduced the times you washed it to a minimum), your eyes had dark circles under them and you were exhausted even if you didn’t do anything the whole day long.
“I brought you food. I know that your fridge only knows like three meals”, he had said once quietly, putting the tray with the steaming meal on your bed, gesturing for you to move a little, so he could sit beside you.
“You mean to say that I and/or my parents only know three meals”, you had coughed laughing and refused to move. You didn’t want him to get sick too.
“No don’t,” you had muttered when he started to push you to the side, “I think I might have a bad bug and Sunset Curve can’t function without its lead vocalist and guitarist. And I can’t eat anyway.”
He had looked at you, confused and concerned. “Still? Alex told me you were able to keep your breakfast in, and I thought that meant you were on your way of improvement.”
“Some illnesses take longer to go away. I just didn’t want you to check on me because things like a normal cold or a little stomach bug can pass without unnecessary medications even if it takes longer.”
That had been two weeks ago. But today, when you were finally looking presentable again and were even able to open the door yourself, it wasn’t Luke that was visiting you.
“Oh… it’s you guys.”
“Geez, thanks Y/N. No need to kill us with all this kindness,” Reggie said laughing and sniffed, “Uh! Smells amazing. Pizza?” Without any hesitation or warning, he entered your house and vanished into the kitchen.
“Pizza? Wow, you must really be feeling better. I remember you throwing up on me a week ago when I tried to feed you chicken soup,” Alex smiled, hands in his pockets and not moving until you invited him in.
“Oh no,” hiding your face in your hands after you closed the door behind you both and groaned. “I’m so sorry about that. Again. Tell me how much the cleaning bill was and I-”
“Chill Y/N, relax. You’ve seen me at my worst and now I’ve seen you at your worst. Sure, I was still way more elegant and not as weak as you, but you just gave me a reason to finally get rid of those shoes.”
“No Alex! You loved those sneakers!” you said horrified.
“Just kidding. Give me 50 bucks and we’re even. Or, you know, better yet, come back to the studio and help us get rid of an overly clingy Luke. Now that you’re better, pleeeease, give him some cuddles!”
You giggled. “You know you have two perfectly fine arms to hug him with as well, right?”
“Yeah!” He said, raising his voice. “But not ALL the time. And I want to be appreciated for myself once too! Not just because I am the only one available to give hugs as an ‘emergency solution’!”
“You make it sound like you actually let us hug you dude, don’t lie,” Reggie muttered through a mouthful of Pizza, throwing himself on your couch.
Throwing Reggie a stink eye Alex turned to you again. “Anyway… You and I will go to the studio now. Yeah?”
“Well”, you stocked, not sure if you could talk to them about it. You had hoped for a few more days to think it over. “You know… It might actually not have been a bad bug, but rather a big bug that I caught.”
At their confused faces, you sighed. “I’m a few days, or even weeks... late”, you mumbled the last part so quietly, you weren’t even sure if they had heard you (if they even knew what you meant).
You were definitely not expecting Reggie to be the one to answer. “Do you want me to drive you to the hospital or do you just want a pregnancy test first?”
-
You didn’t know who of them had told Luke, or when, but after a few minutes of waiting in the hospital’s waiting room he came barreling in, beanie askew on his head and guitar case on his back. His searching eyes found yours in a haze and you could basically hear the question in his gaze ‘Are you?’. Silently you shook your head, averting your eyes.
Alex offered him his place beside you and Luke grabbed your hand while you waited. A few moments later your name was called and the nurse brought you and Luke to an empty room and told you to wait again. She came back a few minutes later and Luke moved to the side of the bed and held your hand again.
You didn’t feel the cold gel on your belly. Didn’t feel the way Luke was almost crushing your hand in his. Didn’t hear the words the nurse said. You only heard the faint heartbeat of your baby. You were pregnant.
Luke was beaming, looking at the screen where you could see the ultrasound of your baby, but he also looked at you with a little bit of fear in his eyes.
I can't say the words out loud So in a rhyme, I wrote you down Now you'll live through the ages I can feel your pulse in the pages
Even though you were only in your eighth week and not really showing yet, Luke wouldn’t allow you to wear anything else than his oversized hoodies, sweaters, pullovers and flannels (the ones that still had sleeves. And okay, fair enough, it might also have been because he absolutely loved to see you in his clothes.)
He was like an eagle watching over you, flying down as soon as you were doing or were going to do something he didn’t approve of. He even almost convinced his and your parents to move into your room so he could reach you faster in case of an emergency. (It was a clear no from both parents and he even got grounded for that idea - though later on, you learned from Alex that it was because he had said ‘Why not? It’s not like I can impregnate her again!’)
Of course, your parents weren’t happy about the situation, but they weren’t about to throw you out on the street. They both loved you and Luke (after all, they did fall for his charms one to many times), but they never really spoke the words out loud, never really talked about the fact that you two were going to be parents, a family at such a young age.
And Luke and you? While he was acting like an overprotective husband you both weren’t really talking about it either. You both were terrified about the fact that you were going to raise a child while Sunset Curve was trying to make it big, while you were still in High School and it still seemed more like a dream to you both, a dream from which neither of you wanted to wake up and face reality.
That’s why you started to write the letters. Or in Luke’s case - lyrics. Letters to future you’s, letters to your unborn child telling them about your adventures, your experiences and feelings. It was a way to tell yourself all the reasons why it was okay that you were going to be having sleepless nights filled with the cries of a baby, telling you that it was all going to be worth it.
And for the first time, while writing those letters and lyrics, it was as if both you could feel your baby.
Your body lies upon the sheets Of paper in words so sweet I can't say the words So I wrote you into my verse Now you'll live through the ages I can feel your pulse in the pages
Time went by fast. You remembered the first time you felt the little kick very well, as if it was yesterday, but at that time you still could somewhat see your feet and now you couldn’t even stand up anymore without somebody’s help.
School was weird, but you had the boys to help you through it.
You started to draw little babies beside your letters, trying to imagine the different looks it could have. Would it have your hair or Luke’s? His eyes and your nose? Your eyes and his smile?
And then you started to write your letters and lyrics around the baby, making it look like it was cradled by your warm words, hoping that whenever you wouldn’t be able to hold your child, it would be able to read your letters and feel the love, because you surely did.
How could you have known that in just a few weeks these lyrics would be the only words your child would ever ‘hear’ from their father?
I have read you with these eyes I've read you with these eyes I have held you in these hands
You had never seen your parents looking so fragile and broken like the night they came into your room to tell you the boys died.
And then, the next thing you knew was that your son was born. The doctors and nurses said that it was the stress, the emotional overload of being told that your friends, your loves, the father of your child died that caused your water to break.
That’s why it was Bobby and not Luke that was by your side that night and held your hand. It was Bobby, the normally strong and grumpy teenager, that was smiling like a little kid that just got told it would get to eat as much candy as it wanted.
His eyes were glistening with tears as the nurse handed him the little bundle of joy and he started to sway him - Luke - slowly back and forth, knowing that you were too tired to hold him at the moment.
“He is beautiful”, you murmured as he took a seat beside you, his gaze still fixed on his nephew, because obviously, he would be Uncle Bobby (though not for a very long time), “Just like his father.”
You didn’t hear Bobby’s answer as you fell asleep and dreamed of Luke, tucking you in and kissing your forehead before he dedicated himself entirely to the new tiny human in his arms, singing a sweet lullaby.
“We have written you down. Now you will live forever and all the world will hear you and you will live forever. In eyes not yet created, on tongues that are not born, in ears not yet listening. I have written you down, now you will live forever and Sunset Curve will sing about you.”

How did he get in this mess?
Warnings: Inko literally uses her quirk to pull out AFOs pubic hair because I don't think anything else would immobilize him temporarily, talk of inko using her quirk to pull organs, guns mentioned
I wrote this on my phone so sorry if anything looks funky for computer users. If I made any mistakes or any characters are too ooc please tell me. Also this is a fanfic featuring AFO as Midoriya Hizashi and Inko as a ex-Black Widow and mostly features them please enjoy!~
******************************************************
How did he get in this mess, face kissing the floor and completely caught off guard?
Hizashi wasn't quite sure himself actually. One minute he was doing some 'work' before he heard the voice of his wife over his shoulder.
"Hizashi, what are you doing?"
Then he was on the floor a nearly blinding pain spread over his body leaving him in fetal position unable to think of nothing else.
Once his mind got clear again he turned his head to the side looking up at the woman who he thought was his wife. Her usually gentle smile was gone leaving a cold look on her face as she read through his files. One of her hands out stretched towards him while the other clicked through the computer.
Which made him briefly realize he may have to put plan B into action but before that he had to know if this was his wife or someone else. Last thing he wanted was to do something reckless if this wasn't his wife.
"Who-" Before Hizashi could utter a word he felt another painful pull causing him to ball up even further trying to somehow ease the pain. He choked on air as Inko? Stared at him with a blank expression now turned away from the computer. She crossed her legs as she watched him wither in pain looking at with him cold emotionless green eyes.
Who was this woman she can't be Inko! It gave him brief fear realizing that a shape-shifting spy might have tricked him somehow. After all theres no way his sweet wife could ambush him, let alone be capable of hurting him this badly! But if this is someone with a shape-shifting quirk there's no way they would also have wife's quirk as well. Unless they can copy the quirks of people they shape-shift into but then-
"So was this what you were doing while I was comforting our son?"
His eyes widened at that realization, it hit Hizashi hard as he broke out in a cold sweat. He looked up at Inko who still had that chilling look on her face making Hizashi for the first time in 200 years feel...afraid.
He didn't know whether to be impressed at her or disgusted in himself, him, All for One, the symbol of evil, the villain who has brought many heros and villains alike to their knees is...afraid? It sounds unreal just thinking about it that someone could still scare him.
Not by much but still it was a feat that no one before her had done in a long time.
He felt like he was getting whiplash knowing that the same woman who cooked him breakfast nearly every morning, who cried at anything sad or happy, and cuddled up to him at night was looming over him like some villain.
"Hizashi speak up your mumbling." She spoke harshly as he felt another pull, he's starting to lose feeling in his legs.
"I already knew." He said breathless feeling defeated almost, yet another feat none before her had accomplished. He could almost hear his brother laughing from his grave at this point. "What?" Her forehead wrinkled the cold look leaving her face for a moment making her look more like the Inko he knew.
"I checked Izuku years ago, I had my suspicions when he didn't develop his quirk after he turned 5. While I can't tell what a quirk is if I don't know it, I can sense them." He told her truthfully "When I reached into his subconscious one night after I tucked him in bed, I found no sign of a quirk." He knew their was a chance Izuku would be quirkless anyway, Hizashi was from the first generation of quirk users after all.
But he would never give his son a quirk, no he's not going to let history repeat itself, if there's anything he's learned in his 200 years of life it's never give your hero loving relatives a quirk.
Plus being a hero is 10 times more dangerous now, no thanks to him, he'd rather his precious son live quirkless.
Despite the ridicule quirkless people get from society atleast he won't ever get badly hurt or worse killed. Luckily Hizashi had a back up plan just in case he needed to protect his family from themselves.
But seeing Inko looming above him is starting to make him think about adding more reinforcements to the vault. After all she's not so much of a gullible woman like he once thought she was.
"I see but that doesn't change anything, you weren't there for our baby when he needed you most. That's why after this you're going to march into our sons room and comfort him like a good father should." He almost winched at her harsh tone. He honestly didn't know if he should be scared or not. He did still have an arsenal of quirks he could use but none that were non lethal from a long range he could use on her.
"And if I don't, what will you do?" He was curious in all honesty after all it's not every day your usually gentle and emotional wife does a 360 degree personality change on you.
"Then I'll keep ripping out your pubic hairs till you comply." He felt a slight tug again at the slight flick of her wrist causing him to flinch.
He had felt tempted to challenge her, now realizing it was a mistake seeing as she has him by the balls...literally.
"And if you try anything...well you'll be surprised at how many organs count as a small objects." She said with a chilling smile which he almost hates to admit made him flinch.
He always knew her quirk was suspicious despite only being limited to small objects it could still be a deadly quirk if used right. The number of deadly weapons considered small objects was big and considering she only needs a vague idea of where an object is located to pull it to her which includes organs...Hizashi's starting to realize he didn't really know his wife like he thought he did.
After all who would've guessed his sweet Inko would use her quirk so...creatively. He nodded, head still pressed to the hard wood floor of his office.
Inko gave a sigh of relief as she genuinely smiled running her hand through her green locks. "Good I'm glad we could come to an agreement." Hizashi felt the release of her quirk as she sat back legs still crossed.
He slowly sat on all fours before rising to his knees still feeling phantom pains with each slight movement.
Once he was on his knees he wrapped his arms around her waist laying his head in her stomach. She gently caressed his head of white curls causing him to sink further into her and let out a content hum. After a while he looked up at her, the cold look on her face gone now taking a more softer expression.
"I knew you where a villain since the first week after we got married." Hizashi didn't think Inko could shock him anymore but that honestly got him, and yet again she conquered another feat.
He would have never guessed that she knew about him being a villain before now. "Honestly I felt like I got rusty since I found out so late, but I guess living a normal civilian life will make anyone like that." She smiled gently at him looking more like the Inko he knew. Or atleast thought he knew, she was one of the most ordinary people he met from her average nursing job to her adorable naiveté at times.(which he now knows was probably just an act) She played him like a fiddle, he underestimated her and made him fall even harder for her.
That's right, he didn't think it was possible to love her even more than he already did, but this moment proved that wrong.
"Wait then if you knew why did you stay and why wait until now to bring it up?"
She furrowed her eyebrows again before turning her head away from him thinking about her answer for a second before looking back. "I'm not exactly who I said I was either..." She trailed off with a far away look in her eyes almost like she was looking through him and not at him.
He took her hand which had stopped rubbing his head and brought it to his cheek. This seemed to help her focus again as she gave him a tired smile.
"I'm not a good person either Hizashi I've done alot of things that I now regret." For a moment he guessed that she was an ex-villain that he'd just never heard of.
Although that was very unlikely seeing as he liked to keep tabs on most high profile villains to find anyone with good...potential. Inko definitely wasn't a low class villain she just didn't fit the profile of a bank robber or common street thug. Her aura gave off a more experienced air to it not to mention no low class villain would have the guts to look him in the eye once finding out who he really is.
"I was once apart of an organization who specialized in training those considered...unless in society." The way she said useless held a malice to it despite her still having a smile, but it didn't quite reach her eyes.
"They kidnapped me and many other young girls most of them either being quirkless or having 'weak' quirks." Quirkless trafficking while rare nowadays still went on but he'd never heard of an organization making quirkless people assassins. Wlep there's a first time for everything he guessed.
"They trained and raised all of us to be assassins, to put it simply, they chose us because they knew we'd be underestimated."
Assassins? If someone had told him is lovely wife was secretly an assassin he'd laugh in their face before killing them for saying such a thing. But now after being brought to his knees by her he honestly isn't surprised, at this point he'd believe anything that came out of her mouth. She could tell him she could kill someone with only a plastic spoon and he'd believe her.
"I was one of the lucky ones i was able to escape before my 'graduation' if you could call it that. I was even able to find my birth certificate after months of digging through missing persons reports." She now went back to stroking his white curls as she spoke.
"After escaping I decided to live the life my mother wanted me to or at least I like to think she'd want me to." He knew she was an orphan, she'd told him that on their second date he never thought much about it.
He never even really looked into her mother much either only knowing that she died when Inko was young and that she was Nana Shimura's sister. When he found this out at first he was suspicious but over time he let his guard down, if that was a mistake is still up for debate.
"They called us Black Widows." He'd heard that name before but it's been so long, last time he heard the words Black Widow he was reading a comic book to his sick brother. It's either unoriginal or genius considering most will only think of the comic book hero Black Widow opposed to it being a real organization.
Finally getting the feeling back in his legs he stood up stretching slightly while she watched him. He stared down at her now that he had the high ground it was time to give her what she deserved.
He leaned down towards her his hands coming up to her face menacingly. But she just sat there unfazed with a serene look on her face, their was no real use in trying she knew he wouldn't hurt her. He held her face as he leaned in and gave her lips a gentle kiss.
After pulling away he took her hand and helped her out of his office chair. "Now time to go see about Izuku hopefully I can get him out of his depressed mood."
Giving her a true smile only reserved for his family he lead her out of his office not before shutting down his computer and locking the door.
"Yes please talk to him because I didn't know what to do than to apologize to him." She sighed clearly distressed. "While it has been a long time since I escaped somethings I still just don't know the right words for." She looked defeated like she didn't just have Japan's greatest villain nearly kissing her feet.
"It's fine darling soon Izuku will go back to being that happy kid again, you'll see." He gave her a final kiss before heading to Izukus room ready to help his son or else face the wraith of his wife.
He briefly wondered just how good of an assassin his wife is and just how many she's killed. But quickly shook those thoughts away as he entered his son's All Might themed room.
While he'd never ask her anything more about her past as a Black Widow he soon came to realize she was highly skilled as he watched his son on TV.
He was watching UAs sports festival with Tomura at his current hideout the boy exclaiming in shock at this year's winner.
The one to take first place was UAs first quirkless student Midoriya Izuku who took out the competition with only a pair of electroshock bracelets as wepons.
Not to say that it was only the support tools that secured his win, the way he bended dodging attacks and hit his opponents with devastating blows to the head made him nearly laugh out loud.
It was almost hard to believe that this was the same kind boy he once tucked in bed but he had to admit his son was quite reckless.
He's in all honesty proud of his son especially for beating Mizuki's brat whose bullied his poor son for years. While he isnt happy that his son's well on his way to being a hero atleast Inko trained him well.
Just how did Hizashi get in this mess he'd hoped quirklessness would make his son reconsider being a hero but it seems Inko had other plans.

Extras:
So originally Inko was gonna hold him at gun point but I felt like AFO wouldn't be sacred of a gun so....
Also Inko has wepons (mostly guns) hidden in every wall in the apartment after all you never know when the red room might strike.
Inko still gets chubby but not from stress over Izuku being quirkless it's more so over the red room possibly finding him and taking him. She's still bad ass tho, can kill anyone with a just plastic spoon.
She also ran away from the red room before they could sterilize her.
Izuku does eventually get One for all but it's after the sports festival instead, tho he does still parade as a quirkless hero even after One for all.
He also is a vigilante on the side under the name Black Widow tho most think he's a girl because of the Black Widow reference. He even wears his mom's old Black Widow suit.
You could say he's hero Deku by day and vigilante Black Widow by night!
AFO totally knows it's him tho because he knows Inko wouldn't be that reckless or feral.
Izuku has no idea his loving father is AFO but knows his mom's an ex-assassin.
