Hey Moss I'm a really big fan of yours and I had a question! How do you keep yourself motivated to finish PMVs/AMVs/MAP parts/ etc.? I try to go through with an idea but I seem to get bored of it and stop within the first few scenes and I forget about it. Which is odd because I've been practicing on drawing pictures and I can go on for 7 hours straight doing it! But for animations it's like it drains me out. Also since it's summer I really want to get some projects through before school starts again because I'm not going to have the time or energy with the classes I've been assigned next year (Junior year is sooo great :D /s). But anyways I was just wondering how to have and keep motivation for animations. Thanks Moss!!!
agh im afraid im dont have v helpful advice for this cause i'm just the kind of person that likes to. Do things to completion? I prefer for things to be finished rather than perfect ^^ which is a tricky thing to train yourself to do if you're a perfectionist (and im just lucky that i'm don't feel too bothered when my projects don't turn out exactly how i imagined! and that i do feel a lil bothered if my projects aren't completed lol and thats an opposite thing im tryin to learn to be okay with)
With animation specifically for me I find actually watching through what I got can motivate me to keep working on it ! Whether its cause it looks rlly good and i get excited to see it all done, Or if its because I noticed something I need to fix and it annoys me into wanting to work on it to fix it asap lol
Sometimes it also helps me to just push through it and putting on a fun podcast/video in the background helps the time go faster..
It rlly depends on your own needs n what are your own bad vs good habits that you want to practice breaking or maintaining, so whether that means encouraging yourself to go a lil longer or taking more breaks, just try to be kind to yourself if you don't meet your goals. You can always circle back to work on smth you left behind later, or call it finished as is even if its just some sketches, or follow that sudden inspiration for a new idea while the motivation and idea is still fresh etc!
#unfortunately i dont got much tips n tricks for this sort of thing cause im lucky enough to not have too much trouble#getting things completed orz and i kind of have the opposite problem so i have like. Opposite Tips lmao#hopefully u still found smth in here that helps ^^; maybe try askin someone who has more experience with smth like this !#spookyvulture#ask#ppmpost

you say that Masako would be a witch + does witch things a lot. she also seems like the wanderer type to me. specifically someone who thinks they are and thinks that they want to be a lone wanderer, but desperately desires company. they desire company more than anything else in the world and it hurts them so much to have that want that they just can't get rid of. [ adding the image so i can look at it while i type this out!! ]
i was thinking of a few posts you've made about her when drawing this, and in general. she's a really interesting character and i love how you represent her through your storytelling and how she represents herself in her blog. i can get a grasp of who she is and what she wants- stability. she wants that so badly its. agh. but she cant get it. firepoint is the only stable thing in her life and that's being threatened to slip through her grasp, closer and closer every waking day, every moment she isn't with them is one moment left to enjoy the little time they have
college looms over her and represents what she doesn't want to happen- change. removal of the status quo. threatening to take the one thing that didn't change or hurt or do anything different away from her, which is her band. does she even know why she's going to college? is it to make her parents happy? for her future? what is she even doing, taking this privilege that most people will never get to have and wasting it? 'what a selfish child she is.' firepoint is her only anchor in a violent sea of moving forward, and the rocks the anchor are lodged under are beginning to move away
i also relate to this part of masako. i'm not really a feelings talker. being open is hard and being closed off is easy and you can be better at that way faster than being open. being vulnerable is a skill that's hard to master and we will rock in "i'll do this quiet thing instead of something you'd realize i'm doing to show my appreciation." she doesn't expect anyone to reciprocate it, and when they do it means the fucking world to her. she'd burn the earth to the ground for someone who genuinely cares for her
going back to the lone wanderer thing: i think that once she latches onto a person or a place, she'd want to avoid whatever came before. her past? doesn't matter. only firepoint. her parents? dont worry about them, they aren't important! we need to focus on getting some food right now because i'm STARVING ^^ i also want her and jun's card to be matching somehow like setsuko + kenshin's. i'm not sure if i want to draw it specifically matching/related, but there's going to be a little story for the white day au behind it which ill talk about when i'm done with the set. something something magpie archer + sorcerer wanderer duo ^^ actual art notes now!! - the mushrooms on the trees are turkey tail mushrooms! they're harmless. the ones on the forest floor and the ones that people would usually pick however, are death caps. they look like some common non-poisonous mushrooms, but if you eat one you're basically dead. - the fire is green to match with setsuko's! witches/evil characters in movies and media often use green, as well. i thought that'd be fun. the background is purple because it contrasts well with purple - i was going to add animals to the forest at first, but i thought it'd be more impactful if she was alone i also think her fear of ending up by herself is interesting. "what if i move on too fast and they forget? what if i stick around for too long and they grow tired of me? what if they just don't care?" is probably a presence somewhere, deep inside of her mind and she hates it. she wants to burn it and throw the ashes in the sewers her pyromania + comfort lighter are also great. please turn your problems to paper and set them ablaze, masako. you deserve it i really admire your art and how insane you are over her... let us spread the masako takisawa brainworms further together
Kenshin Kamishiro trained 4*, "A Warrior's Burden" @sillystringstar hi bro,, ignore background and its good trust me... this one took a while!! probably going to work on juns next weekend to complete the set // @bobcross1010 @kitchenaidmixer02 @queenoforeos because you would probably want to see your collective shared guy as well. alex when i start on juns you arent gonna see any sneak peaks/wips like you did for the other ones. evil laughter
#i don't have quite as firm a grasp on jun and setsuko's characters.. i dont think i could write something like this for them yet >.<#masako takisawa#takisawa masako#fire point#thank you for opening my rambling doors#i have a lot of firepoint thoughts#i havent started jun's card yet but i have a bit of a clear image in my mind#hopefully i can execute it correctly#we'll have to see#if you want ot hear more just let me know!! i have more#fawn rambles#my stomach was hurting before this (mizu5) so thank oyu for the opportunty

"Touching his wings" Obey me! Sub Mammon smut
☁ Did someone say there's not enough Mammon on this blog? This was supposed to be a headcanons list for all of the brothers and I might come back to this idea in the future, we will see.
Mammon x gn!Reader
tw: praise, good boy, handjob, wings play, overstimulation, orgasm denial, begging, a lot of cum, loud Mammon
+18, minors please don't interact with this post, thank you!
──────────────────────────────
It was usual for Mammon to turn into his demon form whenever he got excited, which was more often than not when he was gambling and winning a lot of Grimm. He shouted and jumped in excitement like a toddler, flapping his lowly-placed wings.
It was no different this time. He had just won a pretty sum in an online, gambling game which forced him to turn into his demon form and laugh like a maniac in his usual manner.
He had no idea you were behind him. You had just barely walked into the room after he didn't respond to any of your calls from behind the door, too fixated on getting his hands on that sweet money.
You reach out your hand with the intention to pat Mammon on the shoulder to get his attention but accidentally brush his wing with your soft fingertips when raising up your arm. The uncontrolled moan that escapes from his lips could wake up a whole graveyard of dead people.
The demon quickly turns back to check what just made him utter the most effeminate sound from his mouth. His face is bright red, surprised with his own reaction, and his eyes travel nervously to yours. You stand there like a stone statue, absolutely gobsmacked by what just happened.
What was shock before, turns into pure lust. What other inappropriate sounds can you draw out of that silly, little mouth of his? You immediately become curious and being the menace that you are, you can't just leave him be.
You push Mammon onto the bed, which sinks under his weight, and place your knee beside his leg, clinging on his shoulders for support. He falls behind onto his forearms.
Your hand travels quickly down his chest and abs to his abdomen. You unzip his pants in a flash and take out his hardening under your touch cock.
"Wha-what are you doin' Y/N? No, don't touch the-agh," he gets cut off by a moan that escapes from his lips when you give an unexpected stroke to his shaft. "Why would you do that all of a sudden?" His face is bright red but his expression shows how much he enjoys having his dick being played with. Not to mention the excessive amount of leaking precum from his pinky tip, that's smearing all over your fingers.
While stroking his length, you reach out for his bat-looking wings that shiver every time you touch his boner. Just a gentle brush against them is enough to make Mammon scream in pleasure and feel weak on his arms that he's supporting his weight on.
"Does it feel good? Do you like it when I touch them?" you ask but you clearly know the answer that is painted all over his flustered face.
"Nah, w-where did you get that from...?!" The fact that he desperately tries to deny it makes you only want to tease him more, so you begin to stroke his cock faster than you did before, while also playing with his wings. You brush their bones very gently with just your fingertips, which sends a shiver down the demon's spine, and scratch his back just between them.
"No! Not there! 's too good~" he whimpers in a raspy voice, his eyes rolling to the back of his head from the overstimulation. "I'm 'bout to come..." His jaw clenches.
Mammon's cock begins to twitch in your grasp and you can see his breath getting uneven. That's when you decide to stop what you've been doing, much to his surprise. He looks at your hand, which is now sitting stagnate at the base of his dick, and then back at you. His eyes are all teary, looking like they could burst into tears any second.
"Why did ya stop? I was so close... Please, Y/N, keep goin'."
"Hm, I'm not fully convinced yet. Should I?" you tease, of course wanting something for yourself from this situation. Not hearing him beg you for mercy would be such a waste, right?
"Please, please, please, Y/N, make me cum. I want it so bad, I'm dyin' over here! I'll do anything for ya, just keep goin'!" he whines, desperately bucking his hips into your fist.
A devilish smirk sneaks onto your face. When he's asking so nicely you can't deny his pleas, you just have to give your good boy what he wants, so you resume the energetic motions of your wrist and gentle scratches of the space between his wings that flap happily, creating a soft breeze.
"Ah~! Thank you, don't stop...!"
"That's right, good boy."
Mammon's lips curve into a smile and his legs begin to shiver when he feels his orgasm approaching. It hits him hard, making him let out loud moans and throaty yelps, while his thick semen coats your hand.
You let go of his cock and wings to let him come down from his high in peace, enjoying the view; his abs stained with his own, milky fluids, as well as his black pants and dick still twitching, getting rid of every last drop he had left.
You're pretty certain it won't be the last time you have fun like this.

What do you think about the theory of Hunter's hands being scarred? I noticed you don't usually draw them and I saw your idea of him wearing the gloves due to sensory issues, which I like a lot. It makes total sense.
I do also like the scarred hands idea but only because it adds to the ~angst~
YEAHHH tbh i usually draw him with scars that dana draws him with cuz i consider them canon (so that's, besides his cheek scar: an x-shaped scar on his right knee, a scar on his left calf, on his left upper arm, on the top part on his left forearm near his hand, and i also add a slightly darker/newer scar on his left knee based on his injury in king's tide) but i loveee the scarred hands headcanon as well, it's very 🤲😔
i feel like sth is definitely up with his hands cuz he always wears gloves and his hands seem sensitive both when willow shakes his hand and gus high-fives him. so my main headcanon is that it's cuz he's autistic, so it's both sensory issues + kind of like a comfort-clothing-that-he-always-wears thing, but him having scarred hands or having sth else happening with them (e.g. sth related to his nerves or physical sensitivity or mobility issues) are also.. such good concepts, i'm eating them up.
also now i feel like his gloves additionally serve the function of hiding his coven mark (they did that before too ofc but now i doubt his sigil is sth he wants to look at so. woo! double profit for him, yippee) and i especially wonder what changes we're gonna see re: his glove situation in s3, since his previous ones had some notches at the end of king's tide so they're likely getting replaced. is he getting..... new full gloves? is he getting fingerless gloves (we've seen him rock some in the labyrinth runners hunter outfits concept art + ngl him having visible fingernails would make drawing his hands much faster lmao)? is he ditching the gloves for the human realm (and, if so, is he getting a bracelet or sth to hide his coven sigil??)??? or does he have scars there, and crew members just draw his hands without scars cuz they're somehow plot-relevant and would be considered spoilers?
AGH, honestly i have way too many thoughts abt this little guy and his gloves but kxjsjsk yeahhhh

Temporary Home: Chapter 9
Guardians of the Galaxy fanfic | Reader x Guardians (With Yondu and Kraglin!)
Summary: Yondu finally confronts Reader about the late night escapes, and invites himself to tag along, to Reader's dismay.
Previous Chapter here | Next Chapter Here Or click here to: Start From Beginning
Author’s Note: Just Reader and Yondu this chapter.
Word Count: 3,953
You jumped right out of your skin but somehow managed not to cry out, whipping around to see Yondu's silhouette standing in the doorway to the kitchen. It was a bit of a terrifying sight if you were to be honest. You'd hate to see it in a dark alley.
"What the fuck!" you whisper-yelled. "Don't do that! You trying to give me a heart attack!?"
"Don't change the subject. Where ya sneakin' off to?" Yondu had intended to use the voice he used when trying to intimidate an opponent, the one he uses when trying to get the message across that he's not going to take any shit, so ya better just cough up what he wants to know. However, it came out sounding a bit more like the tone he used to scold Peter with when he'd get caught sneaking girls on the ship after curfew.
You did your best to look unfazed and close the door. "First off, it's my house. I'm not sneaking, I'm just going. And what are you doing sneaking up on me?"
You were trying to turn the tables on him, but he wasn't going to bite. "It's the middle of the night and yer being awful quiet about it, ya really try'na tell me that's not sneakin'?"
"Yes." You tried to keep your tone even, but it was hard not to sound annoyed. "It'd be rude to wake up the others."
"Uh huh. Well if yer not sneakin' then why not turn on a light?"
"Don't need it. Lived here all my life. Know the place just as well in the dark."
"Right..." Yondu eyed you, sure that you'd come up with an excuse for anything else he'd throw at you. Might as well just cut to the chase. "Where ya going?"
"Out," you reply, "For a walk."
"You're going for a walk, in the middle of the night?" He could hear it more now, he sounded like he was getting ready to threaten to ground you. Not exactly the tone he was going for. He blamed it on the lack of sleep. Brain must be instinctually reverting to "Yell at Quill" mode. Stars knew he did it enough when Quill was a boy that it became second nature.
"Yes." You cross your arms over your chest, only to realize it made you look like an argumentative teen. Oh well, too late now. You kept them crossed.
"So, you suddenly just up and decided, in the middle of the night, that ya'd fancy a walk, in the dark, in the forest?"
"Yes." you reply again, realizing a second too late that he shouldn't have known where you were headed. "No- Wait I-"
Yondu chuckled. "Save it. I see everything... And I've been mighty curious to know what you've been sneaking off to do at night."
You stare at each other in the dark for some time before you break the silence. "I have the sneaking suspicion that you intend to follow me."
"You'd win that bet." Yondu said with a grin that you could barely see in the dim light.
You roll your eyes. "You'll get bored. Better off to just go back to bed."
"After you." Yondu gestured towards the hall from the doorway. You could hear a smirk in his voice.
You sigh and pinch the bridge of your nose. "I'm not leaving alone, am I?"
"Nope."
You really wanted to leave, and obviously you would prefer to do it alone, but if bringing a suspicious passenger was the only way you could do so, and likely the only way to prevent this happening again, you'd suppose once wouldn't kill you. In fact, denying could potentially only make his suspicions worse, and you didn't feel like possibly being reported to Fury over nothing if he got the wrong idea. You had been on enough jobs to know how quick a misunderstanding could go south. "Ugh. Fine. But you know curiosity killed the cat." Still, it wouldn't hurt to try and convince him to stay behind.
"Ain't a cat. Not even sure what a cat is." Yondu chuckled, fully aware that he was being irritating. He might not have exactly known what the Terran idiom meant, but he still knew it was just an idiom. Enough experience with Quill had taught him that Terrans say strange things.
You look up to the ceiling "Just hurry up."
Yondu disappeared in the hall to pull on his boots and returned a moment later pulling on his duster jacket. You had to admit his silhouette was actually even scarier with the addition of the jacket, but you didn't let it show.
You wordlessly motion him out the door and shut it behind the two of you. The walk across the yard to the tree line was awkwardly silent until about a couple meters away.
"So what ya keep coming out here for anyway?"
You answered with a question of your own. "You been spying on me?"
"Not exactly. Just happened to notice ya out the window a few times, and thought it was odd that you'd be sneaking out of yer own house."
The two of you broke the tree line, finally walking amongst the trees. "I told you I wasn't sneaking."
"Sure, sure," Yondu chuckled. "Ya didn't answer my question, girlie. What's out in this-here forest that keeps ya coming out here at night?" He kept pace with you as best he could. Your steps were sure, the ground was littered with rocks and sticks, but your gait never faltered. You clearly knew these woods well, and it was evident you knew just where you were going. You hadn't even bothered to use a light. Yondu would almost think you had night vision if he didn't already know better that Terrans didn't.
"Nothing. I just come out to enjoy the scenery. Relax a bit," you finally answer.
"Ya know, yer almost a good liar." Yondu chuckled.
"I beg your pardon!" you say, offense fully clear in your voice.
"What? Take it as a compliment," Yondu laughed, unfazed by your outburst. "But yer gonna have to do better than that to pull something over on me. I can spot a lie lightyears away." Ok so he might have been exaggerating, but you didn't need to know that. "And that there, that wasn't the truth."
You scoff. "What do you know? You don't know anything about me and you're really going to stand there and act like you do?" The nerve of him. You should have just pretended to go back to bed and then came back out later, or better yet, oiled the hinge on your bedroom door the other day when you noticed it starting to squeak. Probably what alerted Yondu to leaving.
"I know more than you think." Yondu countered, nearly tripping on a large branch.
"You don't know anything about me." You repeat. You started walking faster out of spite.
A smirk fell over his face. If you wanted to be difficult, fine. He could just have fun teasing you until you loosened up, and he had a feeling he knew just what might push your buttons.
"I know yer ticklish." He grinned, seeing how you visibly tensed.
You run a hand down your face. "You guys aren't going to let that die, are you?"
"Nope," Yondu chuckled, "it's too funny."
"It's not," you say, glad the dark was hiding the blush you could feel on your cheeks.
"I think it is," Yondu disagreed, reaching out to poke you and chuckling when you jumped and flinched each time his finger connected with your side. He grinned, mentally drawing up the theory that you didn't like to show weakness.
You swat at his hand and tell him to quit.
He laughs, but thankfully obeys, saying, "Aw, cheer up now. It ain't that embarrassin'... though I do wonder now why that Fury guy would keep an agent around that seems mighty vulnerable to torture..." He was teasing, of course. Just trying to get a rise out of you. It worked.
You throw him a look of daggers and he holds up his hands in a relenting gesture. "Don't worry, secret's safe with me, girlie," he teased, continuing to grin before nearly tripping again. He sighed, beginning to search his pockets for a light. There was no sense tripping around out here in the dark. You may apparently know this forest floor like the back of your hand, but he didn't, and he most certainly didn't feel like rolling an ankle.
He spoke up again. "I also know yer hiding something."
You freeze for just a moment and then turn to him. "No. Nice try."
He closed the meter wide distance between you. "Ya can deny all ya want, sweetheart, but I can still tell."
"Whatever." You turn and start walking again, this time at a regular pace.
"Don't give me that," Yondu said, finally finding a light in one of his inner pockets. He flipped it on and you instantly covered your eyes, which had been adjusted to the dark and very much didn't like the sudden intrusion of the bright light.
"Agh- Turn that off!" you scold.
"What for?" Yondu asked, he had also suffered slightly from the sudden brightness, but at least he could see where he was walking now.
"Well, besides the fact that you just blinded me- you'll attract bugs."
"Ah right. Yer scared of creepy-crawlies. My mistake." Yondu laughed, making a show of shutting the light off. "Wouldn't want ya to be all scared stiff like ya were earlier."
You glare at him best you could with your eyes trying to adjust back to the dark. "I'm not scared of bugs. I just don't feel like getting bitten up by a bunch of midges. The bites itch like hell."
"I dunno... ya looked pretty scared of whatever that bug was in the kitchen today." Yondu teased, but he did make a mental note that midges sounded quite unpleasant.
"That was a spider," you say, then muttering, "...and that's different."
Yondu hummed. "Seems a lil' funny that you'd put a giant one in my boy's bed then, seein' as yer so scared of 'em yerself."
You stumble over your words for a bit, before admitting that you hid the fake spider before the incident with the real one happened, adding, "-and I wasn't scared of it!"
"Sure ya weren't..." Yondu said teasingly. "Guess ya won't be bothered if I tell ya about the big one crawling on yer shoulder then." He repeated the same trick as earlier, imitating a running spider on your shoulder with his fingers and laughing when you jumped a mile and smacked at his hand.
Face flushed with embarrassment at falling for the same trick twice you say, "You're an asshole."
"Yep," came Yondu's reply. Theory confirmed: You hated showing weakness. After a few steps he spoke again. "Where we goin' anyways? Ya seem pretty sure about this path. Get the feelin' we ain't just wanderin' aimlessly."
You sigh, but relent. What could it hurt? "It's just a little further."
"It where ya go all the time?"
"No, just most of the time." you admitted. "Sometimes I do just... 'wander aimlessly.'"
"But not tonight."
You sigh again. "No. Not tonight."
After a bit you finally happen upon a small clearing. In the middle of that clearing was a large old oak tree. Its trunk was nearly two meters in diameter and had lovely patches of moss growing on it. Thick branches poked out just low enough to climb on, it was beautiful in the dim light of the night, but it was even more beautiful in daylight.
"Here," you say, "This is where I go. This is my favorite tree."
Yondu was actually stunned for a moment by the magnificence of the the tree, and that didn't happen often. "I can see why. It's certainly a purty one..."
He walked with you closer to the tree and broke off to walk to one side as if he intended to do a lap around the trunk.
"Careful," you say, not wanting him to go any further around the more shadowy part of the tree, "Ground's got a bit of a soft spot over that way. Wouldn't want you to sink in."
Yondu, who, like anyone, obviously wouldn't enjoy that happening, stopped his journey and headed back your way. Better to stay with the person who knew the land, at least when he couldn't see for himself if he was about to fall in a hole.
You approach the tree and sit at its base, gesturing an invite for Yondu to do the same if he chose. He did. You look up at the thick branches and say, "My dad used to bring us out here."
"Us?" Yondu questioned.
"My brother and me."
"Didn't know ya had a brother."
"Didn't ask."
"Would ya have said if I did? Ya don't exactly seem the most forthcoming type." Yondu laughed lightly.
You huff in response. You look back up at the branches and remember the time you and your brother would climb the old tree. sometimes even your dad would try climbing with you, even though he wasn't as agile as his children. You remembered the fun, the laughter, the three of you playing chasing games around the tree. They were some of your fondest memories of before your dad got sick. Before he couldn't take you and your brother out to the tree anymore, though of course by that time the two of you were old enough to make the trip on your own, though it never was quite the same.
You had sat in silence for a bit before Yondu asked, "So what's eatin' ya?"
"What?" you ask, pulled from your thoughts.
"I've kinda gathered ya wouldn't be comin' all the way out here in the middle of the night if everythin' was all fine and dandy, so what's got ya down, girlie?" It seemed obvious to Yondu from what he observed that this would be the case. After some thought, he realized he only caught you heading towards the forest on bad days, like when Rocket messed your kitchen or the night you fought Quill. You were here, therefore, something must be wrong.
"Nothing."
Yondu didn't buy it. "I noticed you disappeared for a long while in the middle of that movie Quill wanted to watch. It have anything to do with that?"
"I told you, I'm fine." you say bitterly. It honestly irritated you how accurate his assumptions were, but just because he was right didn't mean you had to affirm his assumptions.
Yondu sighed. "Alright then, be that way."
After a few moments Yondu breaks the silence again. "So... where are yer family? I know ya said yer daddy's passed, but what about yer mama? Or this brother ya mentioned. Where they at? Why ya out here in that big house all alone?"
You inhale. You considered not answering, but then thought it couldn't hurt much. You could talk a little since he wanted to be nosy. Not like you were going to spill your entire life story, just the sparknotes. "Well, my mom's gone. Died giving birth to me."
"Oh." Yondu was almost sorry he asked. "And yer brother?" He now assumed you were the younger sibling, but he felt it would be in bad taste to mention it. He hoped talking about him might lighten the mood.
"Gone too." you answered.
He winced. He hadn't expected to hear that you were alone alone. "How?" Yondu asked.
"I don't want to talk about it." you replied.
Yondu saw you draw your knees up and rest your chin on them. He realized he shouldn't push his luck. "Sorry to hear that."
"Why? You didn't do it," you say sarcastically. "It's life. Everyone dies eventually." You un-hug your knees and lean back against the tree. "Just how it goes. Life's a bitch and then you die alone."
Yondu catches a crack in your voice but doesn't mention it. He frowns. "Come on now. There's more than that. Ya don't got to spend the rest of it all alone and miserable." He said this because he had to believe it himself. How close had he come to doing just that when his crew mutinied? If Kraglin hadn't still been loyal and if Rocket and Twig hadn't helped with an escape plan, he'd've been slain by the hands of the Kree- if he was lucky, or back in the slave barracks- if he wasn't. He'd never have gotten the chance to save Quill, and even if he hadn't intended to make it out alive, he couldn't deny he was grateful the ship had gotten to him and Quill just in time so that he could spend more time with his boy.
He didn't know your exact age, but he thought you looked at least a little younger than Quill. That was too young to have such a bleak outlook on life. If even he could find even a shred of happiness to cling to, then surely you could as well. He continued, "Surely ya got ya some friends- Or ya could find someone and settle down... start a family.... fill that house of yers with little ankle-biters- Hey, where ya going?"
Your breath hitched and you had stood up quickly, walking back the direction you came. "I'm heading back. You can follow or stay here. I don't really care," you say, trying to keep your voice even and not looking at him as you walked towards the edge of the clearing.
Yondu hurriedly stood to catch up with you. Sure, he could eventually find his way back without you, but he couldn't deny he'd get back much quicker with a guide that knew their way back in the dark. "What'd I say?" Yondu asked, correctly assuming he had said something wrong.
"Nothing. It's just late. Time to start heading back." You still wouldn't look at him, and he almost thought your voice sounded strange, like you were fighting not to cry or something.
Yondu followed you quietly, wondering if he should press the issue or not. He decided to not, convinced he would only make it worse. He hadn't intended to dig up any bad memories, he hadn't expected to find out you really were alone, although it was a sentiment he could empathize with. It's how he had been during the mutiny and Tazerface killed all his good men. Surrounded by people, and yet utterly alone.
He didn't know what it was exactly, but he knew he wanted to make it better. You weren't a child, but still, all he could see now was a sad little girl with no mama or daddy. No brother, no family. All alone. He thought to himself that if he had a heart it might be breaking. Or at least cracked a little.
He made another attempt at conversation, hoping to smooth things over. "So Quill says ya like to shoot arrows?"
"Um... yeah. A bit."
Did he hear a sniff? Surely not.
"Maybe ya could show me how ya Terrans do it sometime."
"Yeah, sure. Whatever." You sniffed again, and Yondu thought he saw your hand come up to your eyes as if to wipe them.
Aw hell. You were crying. Damn. He wasn't sure what, but he was sure it had to have been something he said. He cursed himself. He hated when people cried. Bad enough when someone he stole from tried whipping out the waterworks, even worse when Quill would cry when he was scared or hurt as a boy. The only thing worse than seeing someone cry, was watching as they tried desperately to hide it, but yet couldn't quite stop. 'Cause that meant they weren't trying to get anything from you, they were just genuinely in too much pain to keep it together.
He had to do something to make you stop, so he did the only thing he could think of. He whistled.
A gentle melody played from his lips and you gasped as a streak of red shot through the air. You stopped in place from the shock and before long, you could see the outlined shape of what you could only describe as a fat little troll. It was cute, and so unexpected that you couldn't help but huff out a laugh.
You finally looked at Yondu and he saw the hint of a confused smile playing over your lips. Much better.
He could see the question in your eyes and went ahead and answered without you needing to speak. "Just thought you could use some cheering up." he said. Nice to see he's still got it. That trick always worked to cheer up Quill when he was little.
"I'm fi-"
Yondu cut you off with a shrug. "Yeah. Yer fine. Got it." He whistled again to call his arrow back. "Well this was mighty entertaining, all this... nature and whatnot. Should probably get a move on so this old man can get some sleep." He exaggerated a yawn before walking forward, prompting you into motion as well, seeing as you were the guide. "I'm sure Bug and Twig would like it out here if ya ever decided ya wanted to come out here when the sun's actually out."
You hummed. "Maybe." You tried not to stare as you walked together out of the forest. Had he really just used his weapon... to draw you a picture... to cheer you up? You wanted to laugh but you bit your tongue as you remembered he had also used it to kill a spider for you earlier that day. For as rough as he portrayed himself to be, he was definitely displaying big softie energy. That thought did make you laugh.
"What?" Yondu asked, hearing your snicker from beside him.
You shook your head, now grinning. "Nothing."
"Uh huh." Yondu said, mild suspicion in his voice as he side-eyed you. Whatever. It was better than hearing you try not to cry.
After awhile you finally broke the tree line and made your ways back across the yard and to the backdoor.
You reached the door first and pulled out your key.
"Good to see ya have some sense." Yondu said. "Quill said Terrans always leave their doors unlocked."
You gave him a look as you unlocked the door. You wanted to refute that, but you knew that, at least in the rural areas where you lived, people actually did tend to do that. You settled for saying, "Well, not everyone does. But still, it'd be really irresponsible to just go and leave the door open to any stray passerby with a bunch of obvious aliens inside."
Yondu scoffed.
"What?"
"Ya Terrans thinkin' yer the only ones in the universe. Callin' anyone not from Terra 'alien.'"
You frowned. "Sorry."
Yondu grunted and waved you off. "Eh. Ya'll get there eventually. S'pose if this place wasn't as backwards as it is then we wouldn't be able to lie low here."
You tried not to be offended at that, because he was right. That was literally the reason they were able to hide here.
The two of you re-enter the house and manage to get back to your respective rooms quietly. You changed into something more comfortable to sleep in without waking Mantis and settled into bed.
Before falling asleep you thought about the clearing and your tree. About how you needed to warn Yondu not to walk too far towards the backside of said tree.
You should really find the time to install a sturdier trap door on that tunnel.

Amusement park Date - 1000 ch special!
Hey everyone! This is my celebration for One piece 1000 chapter!
Monster Trio + Ussop
ONE PIECE UNIVERSE
Scenarios where Character and Reader go on a date to Amusement Park on an island
special Law and Kidd Here (Clickable)
LUFFY
I shifted again as I tried to sleep. I don’t know why I’m not able to sleep but because of my shifting I woke my dear boyfriend accidently. He murmured, “What happened Y/N? Why aren’t you sleeping?”
“Oh dear, I am sorry for waking you up Luffy. I wasn’t able to sleep so I was shifting. Sorry again”, I apologised to him and he placed his hand on one of my cheek as he said, “Don’t apologise, its ok. Are you hungry? Is your hunger making you not sleep? Trust me I’ve faced that.”
I chucked and said, “Yes love, I know you faced it but, I am not hungry. I am just not able to fall asleep.”
Luffy hummed as he closed his eyes trying to think of something but instead I could see his head getting Red as a side effect. He sighed as he opened his eyes and looked at me and added, “I have never faced any other situation, other than that…”, he said in a defeated tone making me smile at his cuteness. “But! I guess if we do this, you can sleep”, he said as he wrapped his arms around me and got very close. He had his classic beautiful smile while he cuddled me.
“I am sure you can fall asleep like this”, he said and smiled widely making me giggle. He was having the perfect temperature and had the smell of delicious Sanji’s cooking.
“This really helps. Thank you love”, I smiled and pecked his cheek as he giggled.
“Then let’s sleep, we should go out to explore the new island”, he said as he pulled me closer and continued, “And… maybe go… on a date…”, with that Luffy fell asleep. My cheeks turned pink and I smiled at how
“Yes Captain!”, I replied. We cuddled as I thought about how amazing our date would be. With the comfort Luffy was giving in his warm hug, it was all I needed for falling asleep peacefully.
As for the date, we both got on different types of rides mostly the scary ones and didn’t even miss one single food stall. Luffy stopped at every single food stall as he wanted to eat all food items available. I was also keeping company to Luffy as he ate.
Suddenly Luffy stretched his neck and came closer to me. I gulped at the sudden closeness. It was a surprise and my heart started beating faster.
“Y/N… you”, Luffy said as I blinked and continued, “Have food on your face”, with this he leaned in and pecked my cheek dangerously close to my lips, where the food was and said, “We don’t want that to waste right”.
‘Oh god Save me’, I thought as covered my flushed face…
After a while I came across a small competition where people were arm wrestling. As I looked at it, I felt a chill run down my spine with excitement. Luffy was still busy stuffing his mouth with food in a stall few meters away.
“Luffy! Come here”, I call Luffy and he stretched and came to my side in a second.
“Will you participate in it”, I asked Luffy as I pointed at the competition.
“Woah! Seems fun!”, Luffy Exclaimed as he jumped onto the stage. There stood a huge guy who couldn’t be beaten up till now as he faced Luffy. According to now, he should be defeated in order to win the competition.
The jerk smirked as Luffy sat in the opposite side of his. He was underestimating Luffy and I really hated that. I know Luffy wouldn’t lose but I still shouted, “LUFFY! WIN! YOU CAN WIN”, luffy smirked and I succeeded in making sure everyone in the place heard it and even draw attention to the place. Everyone’s eyes were on the match as both contestants sat opposite to each other.
“Osu!”, Luffy said as he positioned his arm, and in one swift move, my Luffy got the opponents arm down with a bonus of crashing the jerks complete body to the hard floor of the stage, even making the floor break.
Seeing the scene in front of me, I jumped up the stage and hugged Luffy as he returned my hug and complained, “It wasn’t that hard… boo”, he pouted like a child and I chuckled looking at his face.
We got the trophy and were enjoying so much but in the end….. Luffy accidentally broke one of the rides and we both ran from that scene with the rest of the crew. Anyhow that was sure one hell of a date and I loved it!
ZORO
Me and my boyfriend Zoro, go on a date to the amusement park which was pretty famous for the island we stopped on. We also wanted a break from the crew and spend some quality time together.
We both split from the crew and go for some rides. We enjoyed the roller coaster and did window shopping. Zoro won so many games and got prizes. But we purposely avoided the shooting games because we didn’t want to bump in with the crew now.
“Woah! This is amazing Zoro. You won so many things. Im so proud of you.”, I praised him and all he did was to grunt. Well he is happy and I can feel it.
I smiled at him as he bought me a snack. We both were looking at the stalls as we ate it. Then I saw a cute Lama in a claw machine.
“Awww look at that cute Lama. Can you win it Zoro?”, I pleaded my boyfriend as I gave him puppy eyes.
“Huff… you are such a trouble. Now tell me what you want”, he said as he grinned looking at the claw machine. I grinned as I showed him the Lama which I wanted.
Then… Zoro for the first time in being in the amusement park… lost.
After some time
“Babe stop! Its fine if we don’t get it”, I tell my boyfriend as he tries for the 7th time to win the Lama plushie that I liked.
“No way! Ill win that stupid thing for you!”, Zoro grunted as he lost for the 7th time.
“I really appreciate it Zoro but we are spending all of our money on this claw machine. We still need to see all the other stalls”, I tried to convince him but he wasn’t listening.
Zoro inserted the coin in the machine and got the 8th loss. He was emitting violet and black fumes. He wasn’t going to give up that easily… even after the 22nd time of losing. He was barely keeping his swords away from cutting down the machine. I huffed as I look at my man who is really pissed now. I gently place my hand on his shoulder and say, “Babe… think of it all as your experience. Now use all of it in this game. I am sure you’ll win it this time.”
Zoro took a deep breath and closed his eye. He stayed still for couple of seconds and opened his eye as he got back to the machine. He looked sharply at the Lama plushie and took the handle and pushed it back and froth as he aligned it to the Lama.
“I’m going to get the stupid toy that you liked at all costs”, with this he hit the red button which enabled the Grip for the toy.
As everyone says… 23rd time is the charm, Zoro won the plushie at last!! I was too exited so I just jumped and wrapped my arms around his neck. Zoro took the toy and gave it to me.
“Trust me Zoro, this is the best gift ever because it represents all your hard work and passion of yours.”, I said as I kissed his lips. He blushed and huffed as he said, “Of..of course I said I’d win for you. There is no way I would lose to this dumb game.” He said as he happily took my hand and started to walk away from the machine.
We see Sanji coming towards us. “Hey Sanji! Look at this Lama, Zoro won it for me!”, I proudly showed my plushie to him as he smiled back at me.
“That’s so good! Well done Marimo! So you too can be nice to your lover”, Sanji said as he went towards the machine.
“I don’t need to hear it from you, love cook. So you trying to win huh”, Zoro stayed still looking at Sanji.
“I… I do want to get some toys”, Sanji replied as he played the machine and also… got the stuff toy in the… First try. He inserted the second coin and played as he won… the second time. I was watching Sanji awestruck I didn’t realise Zoro let go of my hand. Then the third win and during the fourth time Sanji won two toys at the same time.
“Woah! See two at a time!”, he said as he walked towards us and gave me a toy and said, “I need to give Nami san and Robin chan also… So I’ll go now”, Sanji said.
“Wait Sanji!”, I stopped Sanji and asked, “How… did you win in a row?”
To which he smiled and said, “Ah! About that… there is a hack where we push the button two times, we will definitely get the toy. Well technically I didn’t say I wanted to win, I just wanted get the toy”, with that he left.
“Babe did you hear”, I turned my head to my side and Zoro wasn’t there. Then I heard, “ONI-”, I looked in the direction and it was too late to stop Zoro, as I saw my man give one blow to the machine, “-GIRI”, making it cut into pieces.
“Zoro…”, I managed to say and then the red lights started to blink with a sound coming from the machine.
“DIE YOU MACHINE! DIE!!!”, Zoro yelled at the machine as I took his arm and started to run away with my plushies held tightly in other hand. Zoro held my hand and with the other he held the bag of items he won in the games. We were being chased by many people and it was a mess but after we escaped and reached the ship, we both laughed at the situation.
XOXO
“Here you go”, said Sanji as he crouched down and handed the third plushie to the little raindeer.
“Ahh! Giving me this doesn’t make me happy you asshole”, Said the doctor as he did his happy dance making Sanji smile at him warmly.
SANJI
“HEY! OVER HERE!”, Sanji waved seeing me as I went towards the amusement park. We agreed to meet here for today’s date. Sanji wore a blue Hawaiian shirt and grey knee length shorts. It was a sunny island and was really warm. Sanji looked so different in this attire from his usual Dress shirt and coat. Not gonna lie he can pull off any type of outfit.
“Y/N! You look so cute!”, he cooed with a wide grin on his face. ‘Agh! I was supposed to compliment him first’, I scolded myself.
“Thankyou… you… you look handsome too”, I managed to let it out in a soft low voice but still he heard it. His eyes widened as his lips parted and his face flushed.
“Thankyou Y/N chan”, he thanked and offered me his hand. I smiled and took his hand as we both headed into the amusement park together. Sanji not once swooned over any other girl from the moment we both held hands.
We both shopped and took some photos together. We both got on slow and romantic rides as it was more romantic. We both played many games and Sanji trying to impress me, as if he hadn’t already done that, won all the games. I mean we were told to leave because he was way too good.
In the way I saw a Horror House. ‘Woah! Did I just get excited?!’, I stop Sanji from walking further and asked, “Sanji, can we go there please”, I pointed towards the Horror house.
Sanji looked at it and smirked as he said, “Yeah why not! Seems fun”. He seemed more excited than I was. Maybe it was because he was also missing the thrill. We walked quickly towards the horror house still my hand in his.
We go into the horror house with excitement. We go in and see some jump scares here and there… not very scary yet… there we go to a room filled with mirrors.
Then suddenly a man in clown costume comes into the room and the mirrors made reflections of him. This took me by surprise and I screamed as I hugged Sanji. He rubbed soothing circles on my back as he hugged me back instantly.
“Don’t get too close! She is scared now because of you”, he started to lecture the clown dressed man as he still hugged me and we left the room. ‘Well I know it’s a place to get scared but… he was so cute when he scolded that person because I was scared. Poor man… just did his job though’, I thought as I still hugged Sanji and explored the house more.
Whenever I got scared he turned his protective mode on and lectured the actors. They were too scared to say anything back and ran away from where they came from. Which never I guess never happened in this horror house before.
We both completed our turn and I was still feeling the adrenaline in my veins. That was actually a very scary horror house I’ve seen. I look at Sanji who was blushing and smiling. He asked, “Are you ok now Y/N?”
“Yeah… it was scary… though I guess you didn’t have much fun”, I said as I hung my head low. He placed his slender fingers on my chin and lifted my head up to face his. He smiled warmly at me and said, “It wasn’t scary to me but, I did love how you held me close to you and how you relied on me when you were scared.”, he said and I blushed. Then I noticed, we were in the same position even now and my blush even grew more. Yet…. I still didn’t want to let him go. I still held him close and I said, “Thankyou… Sanji”, with that he came closer and made our foreheads touch.
“I love you Y/N”, Sanji declared suddenly. His face was so close to mine and I could see the nervousness in his eyes.
“I love you too, you don’t have to be so nervous every time you say it”, I chuckled and he giggle. He pecked my nose and pulled back. He started to sway my hand as he indicated to continue the date. I obliged and we went to another game. ‘What did I even do to deserve him’, I thought as we continued our date.
USSOP
“Agh!! Ussop! C’mon! lets go. It’s a good day, we are on an island with theme park… I want to go on a date”, I nagged at my boyfriend who was in middle of making a new invention.
“Oh… ok then, lets go!”, Ussop says as he got up.
“That’s my baby”, I praise him as I ruffled his hair and he blushed ‘cause I called him Baby.
We both started to head to the theme park with hands linked. He was blushing the complete time. ‘Could he be anymore cuter?’, I thought as I enjoyed looking at my shy boyfriend.
“Ussop, lets eat something”, I turned to see my boyfriend who was already drooling at the sight of all the food stalls. He is a foodie and eats a lot, just… cant be compared to Luffy but he has potential.
“YES PLEASE!”, he said as he went to the stalls to eat. I chuckled when he just shoved a burger down his throat, but my smile was replaced by worry when he choked on it.
“BAKA USSOP! DON’T WORRY ME LIKE THAT!”, I scold him as he chugged down the water I handed him.
“….Sorry Y/N”, he apologises with puppy dog eyes of his which are hard to stay mad at. I huff and accept his apology. I took his hand in mine and dragged him to a scary ride.
“Wait.. Y/N…”, he said as I looked at him and see him placing his free hand on his chest and continued, “I think I’m getting the disease “Shouldn’t get on that ride” help me.” He even fake coughed and swayed back and forth to make it more dramatic. “Like I’d believe that… but keep up the acting. Good job”, I say as he dejectedly follows me while I drag him to the ride.
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! SAVE MEEEEEE!!!!! I’M GONNA DIEEEEEEEEE!!!!!”, Ussop Yelled the complete ride while I yelled, “YAHOOOOOOO!!!!!! THISSSS IS CRAZYYYYYY!! I LOVE ITTTT!!!”
We both got down the ride as I beamed with happiness and said, “It was so much fun!”
I got no response from my boyfriend so I turned to look at him. He had this dark aura surrounding him. He even was mumbling something which wasn’t… a language I know. It even felt like his soul was leaving his body.
“Ussop… you okay dude?”, I ask him as I crouch down and hug him.
“I am surprised I’m even alive”, he said and returned my hug. He was acting so cute by snuggling against my neck, making me chuckle.
“No way that could kill you”, I place one hand under his arm and other on his waist and pull him up. He looks at me with his glossy eyes making my heart skip a beat.
“Ok ok ok… no more scary rides. I got it. So… lets go and play some games”, I suggest for which he happily nods.
We both go to the game stalls and I saw a shooting game. I stop in my tracks making Ussop to bump into me because he was walking behind me.
“Ouch! What happened Y/N? Why did you stop?”, he asked as I looks at the game I pointed. We both smirked as we looked at each other and headed towards it. Ussop takes a gun and starts to shoot perfectly and wins continuous prizes making me happy.
Suddenly I get a thought of getting a prize for him. So I place my hand on the gun and give coins to the person who was in in charge and take position. I fire the gun but it misses and again and again…. It was making my heart crush but I still wanted to win.
Looking at my sad face Ussop couldn’t help but step in. He gracefully placed his arms on the gun and pointed it to the target. We were in a position where he was basically back hugging me. It’s always me initiating hugs and kisses. So… this made me blush so hard. I was basically a tomato in Ussop’s arms. He pulls the trigger and shoots the target with ease, making me win for the first time.
I smile widely as I notice it. It was his doing but… it made me so happy.
“Y/N Look! You shot the target”, he says as he looks at my face. He notices how red my face was and how close we both were. This makes him blush hard. He slowly lets go of me. The man in charge of the game comes towards us and hands me the prize. He witnessed the moment and was also blushing.
I took the prize and handed it to my boyfriend but I hung my head low. I was too embarrassed to face him while I give it. He takes it with his shaky hands indicating he was also very nervous. I build up my courage, take his hand and start to walk with him to another game.
Ussop was very quiet but then he suddenly says, “I love you Y/N”, making me stop in my tracks. My heart beat increased. I turned around, looked at him and replied, “I love you too Ussop”.
We both smiled at each other and continued walking side by side with our hands linked. ‘Definitely the best date till now’, I thought as we walked back to the ship with lots of toys and prizes.

----------
“You need to hit harder, Y/N.” Ezio reflected your blade effortlessly.
“I don’t want to hurt you by mistake.”
“Who says you’ll hurt me?” He smirked, twirling his sword with a flair.
You nodded in affirmation, and began to hail a stronger assault. Although it wasn’t enough to overwhelm Ezio, it was certainly stronger than before.
On a defensive hit, his sword sent yours flying across the training ground. “A better effort, mi amico,” he nodded approvingly.
“Pfft.” You scoffed, going to pick up your discarded weapon. In the seconds you weren’t looking, an unknown force came into contact with your back, sending you flying to the floor and away from your sword. You laid still when you felt a blade come into contact with the back of your neck.
“Mario is sending you on a mission which I don’t agree with. Personalmente, you do not have the experience. So you need to be ready, Y/N, or you will get hurt.”
When he was finished, you grabbed his wrist and forcefully brought the heel of your boot into his back. It allowed you to move the blade away from your neck. With Ezio’s balance compromised, you pushed into him until he hit the ground beside you, your arm pressing against his neck and pinning his arm beside him.
“I think I’ll be fine, Ezio.” You released him and offered a hand to help him up before readying your retrieved blade.
“Ora, un altro?”
----------
As the sun began to set, approached the site that overran itself with Templars. Your target was the Captain, who was hiding in the area. Although it was littered in ruins, you knew the general location of him, and you were ready to bring an end to his havoc. There is rarely a proper way to prepare one to end another’s life, and normally you would avoid it at all costs, but when the end of one life could bring freedom to many, it was hard to debate the argument of life for someone so evil.
Slowly, you weaved your way in between pillars. There were so many ways you could lose the upper hand, and so you kept vigilant when you moved. As you peered around the column, you saw him. He was patrolling with four other guards, and after assessing the situation, you weighed your options:
You could use a throwing knife on your target and a smoke bomb to distract.
To be more accurate, you could use a smoke bomb and charge in, hidden blade unsheathed.
“Assassino!”
Oh, great.
As guards unsheathed their swords and crossbows, you pointed your gauntlet at your target and let a bullet fly. As soon as the bang erupted in the air, you felt something pierce your abdomen, the force of it sending you backwards to the ground.
Although your target got hit in the neck, you were equally as compromised in your side.
Before they could get too close, you scrambled to your feet and vaulted over a small wall, keeping your hand pressed against the wound on your waist. You kept obstacles between you and your opponents, knowing that the only way to survive was to escape. As you reached the edge of the ruins, you spotted a horse grazing on some hay. Wasting no time, you mounted the white mare, kicking your heels into her ribs as she took off towards the city.
You had one hand holding the reins as the other reached for the foreign object embedded in your muscle; it was an arrow. Grasping the shaft, you snapped it in half, wincing as it shifted under your skin.
As you reached the city, you began to turn harsh corners to stay out of your pursuers’ line of sight. Once you deemed it far enough away, you dismounted and hit your stolen steed on the flank, making sure she fled through the streets. Eyeing a side alley, you slipped between flailing drunkards before turning one last corner, fully out of sight. Moving like you had had caused the arrowhead to move, and in doing so your robes were coloured more with crimson than with its original white. You slid down against the wall clutching your wound, needing to slow the world as it spun around you. The adrenaline was wearing off and the pain was increasing tenfold. Feeling the blood soak your palm, you toyed with the idea of pulling it out to save your flesh from tearing more (or to bring death faster).
You knew you had to get back to Tiber Island, but you were sure that you’d draw too much unwanted attention to yourself if you took the main roads, and would almost certainly collapse without a horse. You rested your head against the bricks, willing an idea to pop into your clouded brain.
Small thuds beside you caught your attention, and you turned your head to see a group of thieves land next you. One of them, who was probably the one in charge, pulled your hood off your head, taking in your features; pale, sweaty, barely conscious. “It’s Y/N!” He exclaimed. His eyes turned to the others. “Riccardo, get Ezio. Tell him that we’re bringing him to La Volpe Addormentata. Sbrigatevi!” One of the leanest nodded his head and took off running down the alleys. “Ora,” he spoke softer now. “Aiutami con lui.”
Two of them grabbed your arms and lifted you to your unsteady feet. The movement stretched your side. “Agh!” Your legs buckled, and your sudden dead weight pulled everyone to their knees.
“Mio Dio,” the leader uttered. “You! Get a horse!” You heard as feet thundered against cobblestones. “Y/N, you must move.” You looked at him in anguish; he seemed twice your age, and had a fatherly look of trust in his eye.
“Non posso…” The crimson had spread from your waist and was not being absorbed by the fabric anymore, dripping onto the ground.
“Yes, you can; just to the main street.” You could vaguely hear horses in front of you at the end of the alley.
You took a deep breath, calming yourself, before you nodded weakly, head hanging low. Step by step, you were half dragged to the mouth of the alleyway. Someone was already mounted on the horse as you were being hoisted in the saddle. It was a mercenary, much bigger than you, and you held on tight to the saddle with one hand as you were sent off galloping down the street, a small entourage following you. With every bump in the saddle, an ache pounded in your head; you were having trouble keeping awake, but the harsh movements wouldn’t let you go under.
You weren’t very aware of your surroundings when the horse came to a stop. Sitting firm, you waited for the mercenary behind you to dismount, and you attempted to follow suit. Tripping in the stirrups, the impact of the floor sent your mind reeling, your foot getting trapped in the metal. Pain radiated through your body as you fell on the protruding arrow shaft. Groaning, you weakly pushed yourself up to your hands and knees, dazed and confused. “Andiamo, ragazzo.” Multiple hands heaved you off of the dirt ridden paths, hauling you up the stairs and into the Thieves’ Headquarters.
“La Volpe!” The hooded man revealed himself by the entrance.
His eyes assessed the situation in a second. “Bring him into the back.” People parted quickly to make space for you all to make it through. “Put him on the table.” You were turned to sit down, before slowly being lowered to lie against the wood.
Finally being out of the streets and safe in your surroundings, you allowed yourself to relax, to close your eyes, to maybe spend a few moments asleep…
“Y/N.” Someone patting your cheek got your eyes to reluctantly open. “Leonardo and Ezio are here.”
Leonardo?
You swallowed thickly, not having the energy to respond other than letting your head roll to the side. As they came in, you could half-make out what they were saying. “Those doctors… will be of no use to us… I know my way around a wound.” It was Leonardo, rambling on as he was gathering the relevant supplies.
You blinked, and Ezio towered above you. “Ah, amico mio, mi dispiace tanto.”
Before you could respond, a hand twisted the embedded arrow shaft. You threw your head back as you cried out, hands flying to the culprit’s hand.
“Leonardo!” Ezio chastised.
“I needed to know if it was stuck in the bone!” He quickly justified his actions, hands raising in surrender. “Take his armour off.”
Quickly, your upper robes were discarded, leaving your chest bare and your injury exposed. You heard the movement of metal tools before you felt something cold touch your skin. Looking down, you saw a small blade that touched the edge of the arrow wound. You grasped Leonardo’s wrist. “No, please…” Pain was hitting every nerve and muscle, and you desperately wished you were unconscious, but the fact that you weren’t meant you were going to feel everything, and at this point, you wanted to feel nothing.
Leonardo looked at Ezio and La Volpe. “Hold him down.”
Ezio grasped your hand with one of his before using his other one to put weight on your elbow, effectively pinning you to the table. La Volpe followed suit. “I don’t like this, Leonardo,” Ezio said, looking nervous.
The artist looked up seriously. “You don’t have to.”
You felt the blade sink into your skin. The lower half of your body was numb, but your back tried to arch at the intrusion; an attempt to get away. You were hyper aware of his fingers moving inside your flesh, poking at the metal inside you. “This type of arrow does not do too much damage, but it has hooked onto an organ.” Although Leonardo’s voice was calm, you couldn’t help but writhe. You could feel everything the arrow (and Leonardo) touched, finally managing to begin drifting in and out of consciousness, after what felt like hours of pain.
You were too tired.
You heard Leonardo bracing you for removing the arrow, but you were completely limp in Ezio and La Volpe’s grasp. You swallowed again, eyes rolling back. Your face scrunched weakly as you winced; the arrow finally relinquishing its position, too tired to scream and shout. Stifling a groan, you slightly jumped when the pressure of a fabric was being applied in place of Leonardo’s fingers. The last thing you heard before your vision blacked out was, “We’re not done yet.”
----------
There were three instances where you briefly came to since then. The first was as your wound was being bandaged. “What are his chances?” Ezio’s voice echoed in your ear.
“Of survival?” Your eyes barely opened for a second to lock with Leonardo’s. “Small.” Although his face was comforting, his words weren’t. All too quickly, you lost consciousness again.
The second time, you could feel your body moving as you were taken off the table and onto something soft but sturdy. Your head rolled to the side and your eyes opened to see Leonardo washing his hands in a basin. “Con attenzione, ora!” You felt your arm fall off the side of the platform you were being moved on. The rocking lulled you back into darkness.
You didn’t remember these instances.
The third and final time you came to, you had a hard time opening your eyes. It felt as if they had been sealed shut. An involuntary hum grew in your throat as you brought your arm up to rub your eyes. Even that simple movement left you aching for reasons you couldn’t remember yet. You brought your hand away as you opened your eyes. Looking around, your brows furrowed.
This wasn’t your bed, or your room…
Pushing yourself up, you stopped abruptly, lowering yourself back down and wincing as a searing pain spread across your side. Your hand immediately went to the source, where your fingers ran across rough fabric. Looking down, you saw that your chest was still bare, although half of your torso was covered in white bandages. Looking around, you found your robes hanging up against a wardrobe across the room, clean and repaired. Your boots were at the foot of the bed.
Trying again, you slowly sat up again, pulling the sheet off of your legs. You bent down agonisingly slowly, one arm against your side while the other grabbed your footwear. After you pulled them both on, you began lacing them up. It was at that point when the door opened.
Looking up, you saw Ezio staring at you, surprised. “Y/N, what are you doing?”
“I’m getting up.”
“You should be resting.”
“I’ve rested enough. How many days has it been?”
Ezio didn’t reply at first.
“Ezio; how many days?”
“Five.”
“That’s more than enough.”
You pushed yourself up to your feet, only for your knees to buckle and send you back down to the floor, the impact of which reverberated up to your side. You grasped the bedpost for support as your breath hitched. Footsteps approached your kneeling form, but you held your hand up to stop them. “I’m fine,” you spoke through gritted teeth. Hauling yourself back up again, you leaned heavily against the wall, your legs not used to walking after five days of disuse.
“You don’t have to pretend.” Ezio respected your need for space for a few moments, but soon moved to pull your arm over his shoulders when he saw you begin to struggle.
“... Can you take me downstairs, at least?”
He sighed, thinking out the pros and cons. “Fine. Come.”
Tentatively, you tiptoed down the stairs, careful not to make any jarring movements. Ezio held you securely to prevent you from falling, should you do so again. The sounds of people eating, drinking, and enjoying themselves filled your ears, and your eyes landed on a table with La Volpe -- standing up with one knee propped up against the bench -- Leonardo, and a few other thieves (all sitting properly). They seemed to be in deep conversation, but as La Volpe looked up and moved his attention to you, everyone else followed his gaze, smiles poking at their lips.
“Y/N! You’re awake, and… moving.” Leonardo shot Ezio a disapproving look.
“I asked him to take me here.” You motioned to sit down at the table, and Ezio helped to lower you to the bench. Steadying yourself against the table, you brought a hand up to your side as your wound twinged.
“You’re just in time for me to change your dressings.” Leonardo got up to fetch new bandages as Ezio took his place beside you.
La Volpe sat down properly. “Y/N, what happened?”
You recounted the story in detail as Leonardo worked on your side, slightly embarrassed at your inability to stay alert that night. “It was my mistake,” you finished, wincing as the bandages were pulled tight. “I should have stayed out of sight.”
“He shouldn’t have even been there,” Ezio quipped, closing one hand over a fist. “We almost lost one of our best students.”
You smirked. “I’m flattered.”
Leonardo coughed to hide his chuckle, sitting on the other side of you. “Here.” He passed you a loose shirt and a drink; you thanked him and slowly dressed, being careful not to stretch your side. Taking a sip turned into gulping down mouthfuls of the liquid, parched from not drinking for days.
“If he was one of your best students, then why did we almost lose him?” La Volpe was blunt, but he wasn’t wrong.
“Because that mission was not supposed to be for him!”
“Remember who assigned him that mission, Ezio. Your anger is misplaced.” Ezio looked between the faces at the table, huffed, and got up, heading for the backroom.
The atmosphere grew tense, and you decided to break the uncomfortable silence. “I’ll, uh, go and talk to him.” You got up slowly, holding your side, and followed where Ezio disappeared to.
You peered around the corner to see him leaning on the table, his knuckles pressing into the bloodstained wood. After a few moments of standing still, he cursed himself under his breath, punching the table beneath his hand. He walked to the other side of the table, folding his arms and leaning against it as he fell deep into thought.
You decided to knock against the wall, then. Ezio turned his head to see who it was, before smiling softly and staring back at the wall. You went to lean on the table beside him, staring at the chalkboard propped up against the barrels. “You’re blaming yourself, Ezio.” You called him out on it before he could say anything, prompting an amused scoff on his part.
“I should have pulled you out of the contract.”
You looked at him, but he still stared at the wall, seemingly too ashamed to look at you. “Why? You didn’t know what was going to happen.”
“I knew it would challenge you, but I underestimated just how dangerous it would be.”
“You know Mario wouldn’t have accepted that.”
He sighed through his nose, eyes flicking down to his boots. “I should have tried.”
“Look at me, Ezio.” His eyes moved to yours, but his head barely shifted. “I’m alive; I’m alright.”
“We’ll see.”
You squinted. “What do you mean?”
“Leonardo told me you have a bad case of idiozia, and he is not sure if it can be cured.”
You laughed, looking away. “No, me either.”
“I know something which could help, though.”
You raised an eyebrow, waiting to see what he would say before a force came into contact with the back of your head. “Ow! Bastardo…” Ezio laughed.
“Let’s rejoin the others.”

i'm LIVING for your jaskier fics omg!! would you be at all interested in writing a prompt where Jaskier is riding Roach because he's not feeling well, but Geralt doesn't realize how bad the fever really is until he falls off? (if that's not interesting or too specific, I can try again! no pressure to write this!)
anonymous asked: would LOVE to see a sick Jaskier with a cold while they’re traveling, and how Geralt would treat him being feverish and sniffly/how Jaskier would complain lol
AN: absolutely! so sorry this took a hot second, but here you guys go --- hope you enjoy! ;)
The language of Jaskier is above all a loud one... but just as subtle as any beast’s dialect, filled with intricacies and rhythms that Geralt cannot help taking note of the more he listens. It’s really not the same thing, of course. Non-speaking monsters really can’t use their words; they have no way to express how they feel, except by eating you. Jaskier hasn’t tried to do that. Yet. (Sometimes the way he eyes Geralt in the bath leaves him feeling the day’s not far off.)
To the contrary — if anything, Jaskier is too verbal. He doesn’t know how to shut up.
Getting used to this took longer than Geralt would have liked. It also demanded considerably more patience than he realized he had. Somehow, staking out a monster’s lair for days in complete silence is bearable... but Sitting through one of Jaskier’s endless rambles is asking too much. Even Witchers can only endure so much.
“Do you ever shut up?” Geralt demanded one day, cutting off the motor-mouthed fool in the middle of another tangent.
Jaskier blinked at him, as though seriously considering the question, then shrugged. “Not a talent of mine, really.”
Miraculously, he did, for a moment. Despite all his instincts screaming to the contrary, Geralt nearly allowed himself to believe his outburst had worked... until Jaskier steppes on a twig, just a bit too loudly, then said, “I was asked the very same thing in bed not too long ago, actually, by this glorious milkmaid — granted, her accent was too thick to make out a word, so she might have been asking me to pass her my ruddy lute, who knows. But she was very enthusiastic —“
And that started him up all over again. Damn the gods.
In spite of it all, Geralt would be lying if he claimed to hate Jaskier’s blathering too much. Sometimes it’s... unique, not being constantly surrounded by silence. He wouldn’t call it nice, not be a long shot, but... it isn’t altogether unpleasant. Jaskier can make for entertaining company in his better moods, and he does keep things interesting. A routine pack of wargs can turn into a colorful job, so long as Jaskier is along to elaborate on it later. Geralt doubts he cuts such a striking figure “swinging his sword to the leaping beast’s belly”, as Jaskier’s latest gig claims, but...
Sometimes, it is nice not to be surrounded by silence. Even if that means putting up with Jaskier’s mouth more than he would like.
Case in point:
“Geralt.” A whine, then a cough, then a passionate sniffle. “Can we slow down? Please? I’ve asked thrice already —“
Four times. Geralt’s been counting.
Gritting his teeth, he urges Roach a bit faster, conscious of the sound of struggling bard trailing a bit behind him. Jaskier makes no effort to be discreet when he moves, so Geralt can hear everything in perfect detail. The crunch of twigs beneath his heavy feet; the strain of his breaths, a bit more labored than they should be, a bit more congested; the way his chest rattles when he launches into another coughing fit. Even with a nasty cold, Jaskier’s loud.
“Just because I can’t catch it,” says Geralt once the latest fit has passed, “doesn't mean you need to cough on me.”
“Oh, I’m so sorry, I’ll be sure to aim my dying gasps towards the wilderness next time.” Backtalk is a talent Jaskier can’t help himself honing, even sick as a dog. His brows, foreword with childish petulance, draw even tighter together as he wraps both arms around himself, hunching in. A shiver courses through him; Geralt distinctly hears the rattle of chattering teeth. The second Jaskier catches his eyes lingering, however, he plays up his misery for the perceived audience, pouting and wiping at his face. Geralt rolls his eyes, looking away.
Geralt understands the patterns of many beasts, but Jaskier’s language was one of the easiest to learn. The Law of Jaskier: as long as he’s talking, he’s fine.
And he hasn’t stopped talking since early this morning. No, not talking — complaining. Gods help him, Jaskier hasn’t stopped complaining.
He still stubbornly follows Geralt out on the road, however; in spite of his red nose and phelmgy cough, Jaskier refuses to be left behind. It wouldn’t be the first time he chose to linger in a particular village which Geralt went on ahead, but Jaskier insisted the last one one didn’t appeal to him — “Everyone looks half-starved there. No wonder, the food tastes like shit. At midnight I half-expect them all to gather into a mob, hunt down the nearest visiting bard, and fry him on a spit. I have just enough meat on my bones, Geralt, but I wouldn’t be tasty —“
That rant devolved into a coughing fit that left Jaskier doubled over on the side of the road for five minutes, gasping and heaving. Geralt actually had to stop and wait for him. By the time Jaskier recovered, raising himself shakily up from his knees on the dirt road, he looked a mess. His face was bright red, tears lingering at the corners of his eyes; his chest still heaved. That was the moment any sensible person would have turned back… but Jaskier simply steeled himself and carried on.
Fool of a bard, Geralt thinks now, listening to Jaskier’s heavy footsteps behind them. He’s lagging, slowing them both down. His scent has picked up something unfamiliar, an edge of sour sweetness that can only be a fever. At least he’s walking on his own… but he’s not walking fast, is the thing, and they have to walk fast if they want to reach the next town before nightfall. As it is, the prospect looks doubtful; Jaskier has slowed them enough already.
“As soon as we find a bed, I’m collapsing in it —“ Jaskier pauses to sniff again, and clear a hoarse throat. “Then not getting out for a year. A year, Geralt. You’ll have to — drag me by my feet or something.”
“Something,” Geralt agrees, his mind flashing to images of swords and steel. Oh, he’d get the damned bard out of bed.
The trail gets rougher as they make their way further into the mountains. Even Geralt stumbles in places, and he’s built for this sort of travel. He’s wearing the boots for it. Jaskier is distinctly neither of these things. As Geralt’s must focus more of his attention on their way forward, he almost misses what’s going on behind him — the harshness of his companion’s breaths growing more and more labored, the way Jaskier’s coughs pick up force and frequency, the times he must stop — physically stop — to sneeze or hack his lungs out. Geralt tries to ignore it. He really does. But the fact that he almost manages, for about fifteen minutes, is what alerts him to a much more alarming fact.
Jaskier has stopped complaining.
As soon as Geralt realizes this, he jerks to a halt on the trail. Roach follows his lead… but Jaskier, his head down, doesn’t notice. Instead, he walks straight into Roach’s backside, nearly toppling off his feet.
“Agh — damn it, Geralt.” Even his indignation sounds listless. “Give a man warning next time, will you?”
“How,” asks Geralt, through gritted teeth, “do you feel?”
Jaskier blinks, appearing to weigh the likelihood that his companion is genuinely concerned or just annoyed. Whatever he decides, he isn’t wrong. Instead of offering an answer, he makes an inarticulate ‘hmm-mmm’, shrugging his shoulders. Geralt’s hard gaze bores into him. Jaskier shrinks under it. After a moment, the pressure grows too much; he breaks. “My head is pounding, to be honest. Feels… dizzy. I don’t know. It’s cold out here.”
“You have a fever,” Geralt observes.
Jaskier raises his eyebrows, then laughs softly, like he’s not surprised. “Right, yep, that makes sense. Figures you know me better than I do…”
He breaks off into another fit of coughing, which leaves his entire body quaking. Geralt has to actually grab his shoulder to steady him, just in case Jaskier should tumble over. As soon as he’s regained some kind of composure, though, Jaskier pulls away.
“I’ll be fine.” This time, there isn’t a trace of whine in his voice; he isn’t scraping the barrel for pity, but being deadly serious. “Not too long to the next village anyways, is it? I can make it.”
Geralt eyes him for a long moment, weighing the likelihood of getting there in a reasonable amount of time with Jaskier lagging behind. It’s not good. They’ve been making poor time as it is, because he’s had to slow his pace for the damned bard, but Geralt would prefer not to camp along the road overnight. (Because he doesn’t feel like sleeping on hard ground; not because Jaskier in his current state needs a warm bath and bed. Absolutely not.)
He sighs through his teeth. “Get on the horse.”
“What?”
Either Jaskier’s fever is high enough that he can no longer comprehend the common tongue, or he really is an idiot. “The horse,” Geralt emphasizes, patting Roach’s hindquarters in preemptive apology. “If you ride her, we may make it to the nearest village before nightfall.”
This is the one and only time Geralt has ever offered his precious horse; Jaskier knows this, as well as he knows this chance will never come around again. Maybe he’s just an opportunist. Maybe the promise of a roof over his head is that tempting. Either way, Jaskier doesn’t weigh his options for long before doing the sensible thing and getting on the damn horse.
Roach whinnies, making her displeasure at the entire situation clear. Jaskier isn’t helping matters, a dead weight on her back. The horse stamps her hooves, shuffling in dismay, but a look from Geralt chastises her. For the moment, getting the bard out of the woods will have to be more important than her dignity.
No, Geralt doesn’t like it either. One look at Jaskier’s face, though — the hollow-eyed pallor, and the distance, as though he’s drifted out to sea already — reminds him why it is necessary.
This time around, they are able to set a much faster pace. Roach keeps up, just as Geralt knew she would, even carrying the burden that is Jaskier. The sick man doesn’t help his case; rather than ride, Jaskier has both arms braces against Roach’s neck, clearly focused on just keeping his balance. There’s a precarious list to his posture which Geralt keeps an eye on, but he doesn’t actually fall; every time it seems like he might, he rights himself, and a new dawn of clarity rises over his face. It lasts only a moment, of course, before fading away… but it’s something.
It isn’t long before the woods begin to thin out. Geralt tracks their location by the trees, and by the hues of purple and gold beginning to blend together on the horizon. They haven’t far to go, and enough time to do it. Unless they run into any roaming monsters on the way…
He takes his eyes off Jaskier, and there’s the mistake. He forgets. When Jaskier was complaining, at least he was present; by airing his grievances he ensured that he could not be ignored. This quiet Jaskier is a foreign one, and Geralt isn’t used to him. So, he makes a mistake. He looks away, and doesn’t look back… until a gruesome thud echoes from behind him.
Geralt stops dead in his tracks. Roach lets out a distressed whinny. Jaskier says nothing at all.
“Fuck!” Geralt hisses, rushing back to the bard’s crumpled body. Face-down in the dirt, Jaskier makes no attempt to pull himself up. When Geralt hauls him upright with both hands on his shoulders, Jaskier groans, head lolling against his own chest.
Mud stains his cheeks, and a bruise is sure to form where he hit the ground hard. Even when Geralt seizes his face, though — and damn it, he’s on fire, worse than Geralt thought — Jaskier proves incapable of focusing. An incoherent murmur passes through parted lips. It does exactly nothing to alleviate Geralt’s minor panic.
“Jaskier! Wake up!” Is he even asleep? Geralt can’t tell. “Say something!”
He means it, and the realization comes as an icy shock — never did he imagine he’d ever miss the bard’s incessant prattling. Yet in the sudden absence of Jaskier’s voice, silence rings louder than ever, and it’s smothering Geralt to death. He should have seen this, should have known, should have realized, damn it —
“Jaskier,” he hisses, hauling his companion to his feet. The full weight of Jaskier’s limp body melts against his own. When Jaskier’s burning forehead falls against Geralt’s shoulder, he shrugs, trying to rouse him… but nothing does the job. Even when Geralt, grumbling furiously, is forced to haul Jaskier back up onto Roach and leap up after him, the fever permits Jaskier to do little more than melt against him. His head lolls, eyes half-open and staring into nothing. Worse than it all, he is completely silent.
For once in his life, Geralt misses the damned bard’s complaining.

Ikemen Genjiden~ “Cherry Blossom colored love” Part 2~ Yoichi Route
One day, when the bitter cold had gradually abated and the flower buds were beginning to swell.
Yoichi: “At this rate, it won’t be long before the cherry blossoms bloom.”
Yuno: “Mm cherry blossoms, I’m really looking forward for that.”
Me and Yoichi-san are on a date.
Yoichi: “That’s right. When it gets warmer, its more easy fall asleep. I can use the flowers as an excuse to see you again.”
(ah....)
The smile on is face makes my heart bounce. I really wish this moment could go on forever.
(But this day is almost over.)
When I think about the near future, a dark shadow falls over my heart. Tomorrow, Yoichi-san will be leaving Hiraizumi and going to the battlefield.
(I’m worried, but Yoichi-san is the one who is going to have the hardest time.)
Yuno: “.........”
Yoichi: “Yuno?”
Yuno: “Ah No nothing. I just felt little lonely.”
I tried not to let my anxiety and loneliness show on my face.
Yoichi: “....Thank you for worrying about me.”
(Mm)
It seems like Yoichi-san knew exactly how I felt.
Yuno: “You already knew, didn’t you?”
Yoichi: “Don’t blame me for that.”
Yoichi-san’s hand gently cupped my cheeks.
Yoichi: “I’ll be back, when the cherry blossoms fully bloom.”
When I raised my face, I felt a soft kiss on my lips.
Yoichi: “While you’re waiting, how about you fantasize things you want to do with me and let me know when I get back.”
Yuno: “...Um.”
That gentle promise was enough to fill my heart with warmth.
(It’s amazing how Yoichi-san can make me feel safe with just a few words.)
Yuno: “Thank you, Yoichi-san. I feel a little better now.”
Yoichi: “I’m glad.”
We joined our foreheads together and smiled at each other at a close range.
Yoichi: “And while you are at it, why don’t you share a little more....of your warmth with me?”
Yoichi-san’s eyes shone mischievously----
Yoichi: “Yuno.”
(Ah.)
While I was admiring his eyes, he bites my lips.
(No. We’re in public....!)
While embracing me from the front, he lifted the edge of his lips happily.
Yoichi: “Aww you’re so nervous. How cute.”
Yoichi-san’s hand gently starts to stroke my back.
(Ah....)
A feeling of embarrassment welled up in me, as his stroking hands remined me of our moments in bed.
Yuno: “Yo-Yoichi-san.”
Yoichi: “I know. You’re not used to being touched like this public.”
(You knew....!)
When I tried to pull away, he hugs me tightly.
Yoichi: “But can’t you just let it go today?”
When his sweet voice goes directly into my ears, my heart starts to shake with anticipation.
(Well..... starting tomorrow I won’t be seeing you for a while.)
(I’m embarrassed to say it, but I want to feel Yoichi-san all over me today, too.)
With that in mind, I put my arm around Yoichi-san’s back.
Yoichi:(smiling bashfully) “.....Yuno.”
Yuno: “Yoichi-san....”
Our faces comes closer and our lips meet as if it was a natural thing to happen.
The happiness within me surpasses the feeling of embarrassment---
And I took in the warmth of my beloved’s body in mine with all my being. (PRO TIP: PLSSS don’t do this in public....PLS!!)
After that---(some days later...!)
Yuno: “....Ah.”
Cherry blossoms.
As I go out into the garden to sweep, I see cherry blossom petals falling in front of me.
Yuno: “Looks like the cherry blossoms is fully bloomed.”
Its been more than ten days since Yoichi-san left for war.
(Yoshitsune-sama did say that the war is going to be dragged on.)
---FLASHBACK----
Yoichi: “I’ll be back, when the cherry blossoms fully bloom. While you’re waiting, how about you fantasize things you want to do with me and let me know when I get back.”
---FLASHBACK ENDS---
(Yoichi-san...)
Looking up at the cherry blossom petals, I think about the last meeting with Yoichi-san.
(I don’t give a damn about our promise. I just hope that Yoichi-san is safe, that’s all---)
........
*War zone in the background* (Yoichi POV)
When Yuno was staring at the cherry blossoms, at the same time---
Yoichi: “........”
Yoichi, who stands on the battlefield, was also looking up at the cherry blossom petals. A strong wind blew the ashen petals away from the war torn area---
Yoichi: “......I broke our promise.”
His voice blends in with the strong wind that was blowing.
(I have to apologize to Yuno and comfort her properly.)
(I’m sure I’m worrying you.)
While thinking of Yuno, I exhaled. And at that time---
Soldier: “It’s an enemy attack!”
Yoichi: “....Finally.”
The soldier’s shout brought me back to reality.
Yoichi: “Don’t be pressured okay? Just do what you always do.”
Soldiers: “YES!”
Yoichi: “Hmmm Good....Let’s go.”
While facing his enemy forces, Yoichi readied his bow.
The strength of both the armies were equal. The battle was chaotic---
(If we don’t do something, the war situation will only get worse....)
Just when I was gnashing my teeth over my inability to get things done...I saw some of my men were cornered in the enemy line.
Soldier: “Damn, so far.....”
Yoichi: “Move!”
He quickly draws his arrow and backs up his men, who are about to be killed.
Soldier: “Yoichi-sama, Thank you so much.”
Yoichi: “Don’t mention it.”
After making sure his men were safe, he waved his hand. But immediately after that----
Soldier: “Yoichi-sama! watch out----”
One of the ally soldiers points at Yoichi’s head with a pale expression.
Yoichi: “.....Agh”
A rain of arrows were poured over Yoichi’s head---
.......
*Yuno’s room in Hiraizumi background* (Yuno POV)
Yuno: “----Hm?”
A certain crisp sound startles me. When I looked towards the sound, I noticed that the branch of the cherry blossom tree which was growing outside the mansion was broken.
(Somehow, I have a bad feeling.)
I remembered Yoichi-san standing on the battlefield. The battle raged on and we were told that there was no further communication from Yoichi-san’s unit.
(If I stay inside my room, I’ll keep thinking of dark things.)
When I was about to get up and get some fresh air---
Benkei: “YUNO!”
Benkei came rushing into my room covered in blood.
Yuno: “Benkei, What on earth...?”
I was trying to calm down Benkei, who was looked unsettled.
Benkei: “Yoichi is...”
Yuno: “Eh.”
Benkei: “Yoichi’s unit is back!”
(Yoichi-san!)
The moment I heard Yoichi-san’s name, I rushed out of my room.
.....
*Main entrance of Hiraizumi background*
(Where is Yoichi-san?)
The moment I heard Yoichi-san’s name, I rushed out of my room.
(I’ve never felt this anxious before.)
(Something bad must have happened....)
When I think about it, my heart beats faster due to all the tension.
Yuno: “Yoichi-san.....”
Yoichi: “What’s wrong?”
(Eh!?)
I looked back and saw Yoichi-san, surrounded by his soldiers waving at me.
Yuno: “Yoichi-san! I was worried when I didn’t hear from you.”
Yoichi: “Yeah, that’s right.”
Yoichi-san walks up to me, smiles and opens his mouth.
Yoichi: “Sorry. I did sent a notice about my return. But it seems that it didn’t reach you.”
(If so, I’m glad.....)
I was relieved to see Yoichi-san smiling as always.
Yoichi: “Sorry, I’m late.”
Yuno: “That’s fine.”
(Yoichi-san returned to me safely. That’s all that matters.)
I looked into his eyes as I said this.
Yuno: “Welcome back.”
Yoichi: “....Aah, I’m back.”
Those words made me happy more than anything else.
That night---
*Yoichi’s Bedroom Background*
Yoichi: “Hey Yuno----”
Yoichi-san who was quietly listening to me, suddenly calls my name. Then he bowed deeply when we sat face to face with each other.
Yoichi: “I’m sorry to bother you right after I came home but I’ll be out for a bit tomorrow.”
Yuno: “Yo-Yoichi-san! Please raise your head.”
Being surprised when I saw him bowing at me suddenly, I placed my hand on his shoulder.
Yuno: “If you have something to do, I won’t say no.”
Yoichi: “.....Yuno.”
Yoichi-san finally raised his head after hearing my words.
Yuno: “But, can I ask what you’re going to do?”
Yoichi: “Well...”
It’s so rare to see Yoichi-san responding so crisply.
(You’re being strangely formal...What’s wrong?)
No matter what, I quietly waited for his reply.
Yoichi: “......”
Yoichi: “I want to deliver one of my dead soldier’s hair and suicide note to his mother.”
His serious eyes looked straight at me.
Yoichi: “The night before he died, he entrusted me with his letter. He said, if anything happens to him, he wants his mother to know about his whereabouts...”
Yuno: “I see...”
(That person trusts Yoichi-san.)
Otherwise no one would entrust a suicide note to anyone.
Yoichi: “And he said....”
Yoichi-san’s voice was mixed with a feint hint of regret.
Yoichi: “ His mother tends to get sick often when he comes back from war, and he always stays by his mother’s side----and...I want to make his wish come true even though it turned out this way.”
Yuno: “Yoichi-san....”
His desperate voice pierces through my heart.
(Yoichi-san is a person who overcomes everything by his smile.)
That’s why I could feel Yoichi-san’s pain so vividly.
(I don’t want to leave him alone.)
Yuno: “Yoichi-san, may I come with you?”
When I thought about it, the words naturally came out of my mouth.
Yoichi: “....I don’t get it. This is none of your business, right?”
Yuno: “Yes, but...Isn’t she sick? As a pharmacist, maybe I could be of any help? Beside I also want to help Yoichi-san in delivering his subordinate’s wishes.”
Yoichi: “Yuno....”
(Please Yoichi-san)
I stared at Yoichi-san, hoping to convey even a little bit of my feelings.
Yoichi: “........”
After a brief silence....
Yoichi: “Okay, Yuno if you don’t have any other work, will you?”
Yoichi-san asked and at the same time bowed.
Next morning---
We both headed towards north, where the soldier’s house was located.
..........
Yoichi: “...I made his mother cry.”
Yuno: “Yeah.”
After delivering the hair and the suicide note to the soldier’s parents we were on our way back.
Yuno: “She was, but she was also grateful to Yoichi-san.”
Yoichi: “I was just a delivery man.”
While directing the horse, Yoichi-san shrugged lightly.
Yoichi: “If that person is grateful, then its all because of you. You diagnosed her illness and reported to their local pharmacist.”
Yuno: “I wish I could take care of her until the end but the distance from where we live is a problem.”
(Still, I’m happy that I was able to help.)
I looked up at the sky with a refreshing feeling.
Then---
Yuno: “Ah”
A strong wind blew and pink petals came to my sight.
Yoichi: “Cherry blossoms....?”
.......
*Cherry blossom tree in the background*
Yuno: “The cherry blossoms in Hiraizumi have already fallen, but these ones look like they’ve just come into full bloom.”
Yoichi: “This area is the north of Hiraizumi, so the flowering must have been late.”
We tied our horse to a cherry blossom tree and sat side by side at its base. Looking up at the falling petals, Yoichi-san slowly whispers--
Yoichi: “I just want to give you a life of beauty, you know?”
(Eh.....?)
When I was surprised and turned my head towards Yoichi-san, he smiles at me bitterly.
Yoichi: “At least these cherry blossoms in full bloom will makes you smile. ...Or that’s what I thought. It’s arrogant.”
Those words reminded me of Yoichi-san I saw last night.
(maybe.)
Yuno: “Is that why you were so reluctant to talk about the dead soldier?”
Yoichi: “Hmmm, yeah. At least that’s what I thought.”
He exaggeratedly sighed and shook his head.
Yoichi: “----But.”
He turned his gaze towards me and squinted as if he saw something dazzling.
Yoichi: “But I was wrong....Yuno is much stronger than I thought. I was hesitant about something trivial and you volunteered to come along with me. If its not for you being there, I wouldn’t know how to heal that mother’s broken heart.”
(Ah.....)
Then a soft light dwells in Yoichi-san’s eyes---
Yuno: “I was able to get close that mother’s heart is because of you.”
I too want to convey my heart to you.
Yuno: “Also I came all this way because I want to be close to your heart.”
Yoichi: “My heart?”
I gently touch Yoichi-san’s hand as he looks at me curiously.
Yuno: “You’re a grown-up, who always accepts the bitter reality while smiling.”
Yoichi: “That’s....”
Yoichi-san tries to look away. Then I squeezed his hand that was about to leave.
Yuno: “I love Yoichi-san who is kind and matured but I also love him just as much when he’s not.”
(Because I want to be with you no matter what....)
Yuno: “I may not be able to help you much, but I want you to include me in the bitter reality of your life.”
Yoichi: “Yuno... Thank you.”
With a small whisper, he holds my hand back. Then we silently stared at the cherry blossom tree in front of us.
Yoichi: “Do you remember the promise we made before the war?”
(Promise.....)
Yuno: “You mean my fantasies of what to do with Yoichi-san when he comes back?”
Yoichi: “That’s right. Tell me what were you thinking.”
Yuno: “hmm...”
I can sense Yoichi-san’s happy gaze on me.
Yuno: “I did have so much in mind. But when you came back, it all went away.”
Yoichi: “Are you sure? You can be greedy.”
While laughing happily, Yoichi-san gently touches my cheek.
(.....ah)
Yoichi: “But I’ve always wanted to kiss you.”
Like that Yoichi-san’s face slowly approaches---

Helping out your mate
Eh, so i thought maybe a should post mi lil ficlets also over tumblr so more people can enjoy,
next fic is rated E so :)
1k + words
Mark was sitting at his desk at the workshop all alone. The lonely brit stared at the sheet filled with equations he wrote down himself, new modifications for his jammers. He had trouble paying attention to the numbers in front of him, the more he stared at them, the more blurry they got. ‘I must be tired, maybe some coffee could help.’ Mark thought for himself as he took out his phone and send a message to Jamie to prepare him a coffee.
He started doing some other stuff as he waited for his coffee, mentally preparing himself to throw James out of the workshop. James knew damn well Mark had banned him from the workshop because he kept bothering, distracting him, and not letting him work overall. James respected Mark’s decision, he totally understood he could be a pain in the ass to Mark, but whenever Mark called him in for a favor, he wouldn’t just walk out of the workshop without at least trying to convince the engineer to let him stay for the day.
“One mug of coffee on the way” James chanted as he walked in the workshop as if it was his own. Mark just glared at him, not expressing any kind of emotions on his face, James just smiled at him, being very used to that look in particular. “Thank you Jamie, now, please, get the fuck out.” Manners, of course.
“Aw… already? I haven’t even started begging sweetie.’’ James placed the mug of coffee on the desk.
“Don’t even start, don’t make me lock you in our dorm.” Mark warned, giving his coffee a small sip.
“Aw, come on darling…” James started, getting near his beloved engineer. “I’m particularly horny today…”
“ Well that’s not my problem, jack off somewhere else, I need to finish this.” Mark kept ignoring James’ whimpers, focusing his look over the papers on his desk.
“Markie please…” James walked two fingers over Mark’s thigh, making the man tense up in his seat. “I want to swallow your whole dick...” James whispered in Mark’s ear, he felt how Mark tensed in his seat, that could only mean that he’d give in.
“Alright fucker, under my desk, quick.” Mark bit his lip as he palmed his growing erection and pushed back his seat to let James crouch under the desk. “But you’ll get out once you’re done, ‘kay?’’
“Sounds fair, luv.” James started unzipping the engineer’s pants just enough to take out Mark’s stiff member. James stared at it for a couple of seconds before sinking his mouth on thecockhead, swirling his tongue around it, making Mark breathe out loudly.
James started bobbing his head up and down, taking half of Mark’s length, missing the desk just by centimeters. Mark started breathing out loudly as he worked on the equations, he started completing them quickly. He was surprised, who would’ve thought a blowjob would help ease his mind much better than coffee.
Suddenly, James sank his head all the way down, swallowing Mark completely without gagging, pressing his nose against Mark’s groin, making the cockhead hit against James’ throat, good thing his gag reflex was gone long ago. Mark repressed a groan, squeezing the pencil he was holding. “Fuck…” Mark whispered.
James’ head started moving quicker, causing the engineer to huff even harder as he tried to solve his problems, his handwriting started to turn out shakier as James bobbed his head faster, making the numbers almost incomprehensible, but the answers to the equations were still correct.
The sound of a doorknob alarmed both, it was Marius, who had just walked in, he wasn’t supposed to be here. “Oh, hey Mark, sorry for interrupting, but, have you seen my toolbox? I can’t seem to find it.” Marius walked in, searching every locker in the room.
“No, I haven’t… seen it...” Mark managed to speak up, glaring his look over the german. James started sucking and moving faster than before, trying to turn Mark into a moaning mess.
“Oh well, thank you anyway.” Mark huffed, he was starting to lose himself over the blowjob, calling the german's attention right away. “ Are you feeling alright Chandar?” Marius asked curious, leaving the locker door half-closed.
“Yes, I’m fine, James fed me something strange again...” James couldn’t help but draw a little smile as he sucked. Yeah, he’d occasionally feed Mark anything he created in his lab that seemed edible, and Mark would accept it because why not, he trusted the man, kinda.
James placed a hand over the cock’s base and started yerking him off as he sucked the rest of his dick, making Mark slam his knee towards the desk in an attempt to choke a moan, making Marius even more intrigued of his colleague’s condition. “Are you sure you are alright? let me call Gus-”
“No! I’m completely fine, I’m just... having cramps from yesterday’s training...” Marius looked at him until he was completely convinced, then walked outside the workshop.
“Hmmm, alright, see you later then.” Marius said as he closed the door behind him, finally leaving Mark alone.
“You little turd!” Mark slammed both of his hands over his desk, making James jolt by the loud sound. Mark slid a hand underneath the desk to pull away the hand that was yerking him off, then proceeded to placed it over James’ head to keep him steady and started slightly rocking his hips towards James, fucking his throat. “God fucking damn it, Jamie…”
Mark pushed back his seat, pulling James by the hair to get him out under the desk to fuck his throat properly. Mark stood up, yanking James’ hair back and forth as he thrust his hips towards the poor man. James didn’t complain at all, instead, he just squeezed Mark’s ass for support.
“I’m, I’m close…” Mark announced as he started thrusting more irregularly, quiet moans and needy whines escaping his mouth until he spilled his load, filling James’ mouth completely, cum leaking from the corner of his mouth. “ Agh, look at that, so slutty…” Mark said as he wiped off with a finger the leaking cum that ran down James’ chin to stick his finger inside his mouth, sucking it until Mark pulled it out, making a wet pop. “Alright love’s over, now get out and let me work.”
James swallowed his cum before standing up, his pants had a cum stain. “Hey, no fair, now I have a problem.” James gestured his hand toward his raging erection.
“Well, take care of your problem somewhere else, I have to work, hey, maybe if I finish this quick I could help you with your problem .” Mark zipped his spent cock away and sat down in his seat, pulling himself closer towards the desk.
“Really?” James was surprised, usually, Mark was always too grumpy to take his shit whenever he was working on his projects.
“Yeah, but let me work first, then we’ll see…” Mark said with a smirk on his face, snapping his fingers to hurry James out of the room. The chemist let his lover alone and went to yerk off in his dorm all by himself.

Pure Blood 4 (Sirius Black x F! Oc)
lA/N: Yeeeeesss, Persephone is back, ma frends. lol, i’m sorry for taking so long, but here you have. :)
Words: 1,926
Warnings: None.
Chapter 3. // Chapter 5.
Chapter 4: A favor.
First year.
Dear Persephone:
We’re proud of you, being in one of the most respectable Houses of Hogwarts. Your father and other wizards have been in it, you have to start with something, and the fact that you represent the Singh family- blah blah blah… I know the speech already, actually, I think this is the same letter they sent to Apollo when he got selected. I can’t believe they’re recycling it, it almost makes me laugh. Almost.
Everyone catches the letters either on their hands or their plates. I watch my table, most of them have their group of friends already and I feel upset cause I got none. I really wish Sirius could be with me.
I raise my eyes and look over his table, looking for him, of course it doesn’t actually help, so I get up and I finally see him. Next to him is that boy with glasses that we met on the train, he looks happy, he’s chatting with a chubby boy.
I look back at Sirius and I see him reading a letter.
Oh no.
He looks all pale and his hands are wrinkling the paper, I have a terrible feeling about this.
Suddenly he gets up, he says something to the boys and rushes out of the Great Hall. I don’t doubt it for even one second and I gran my bag, following him from up-close. He’s faster and soon he takes advantage and I curse under my breath. We walk through the halls, sometimes crashing against other people, I hurriedly whisper ‘sorry’, my eyes never leaving the dark-haired boy. Yet, after a few minutes he disappears.
I groan and keep walking. Alright, if I were Sirius Black, where would I hide? No, not hiding, he just wants to be alone. He won’t go to a classroom, maybe the gardens? I don’t know where the gardens are yet! Neither does he. And I can’t ask anybody, because no one knows who Sirius is.
After a while of wondering through the halls, Merlin took pitty of me and I found him behind a pillar, next to an arch that takes you to a garden. Ha! I found one.
I inch closer towards my friend, who seems lost inside his head, his back is leasing against the wall.
“There you are, stranger,” I tease.
He looks up in surprise, but once he recognize my face he seems to relax, I leave my bag on the floor and sit next to him.
“Hi,” He tries to smile, but his frown remains, “How did you found me?”
“I felt that my best friend was having a bit of trouble, I just walked around until I found you” don’t even think I’ve been looking for you like crazy all this time, of course not.
He gives me a sckeptical look and I just smile, causing him to chuckle.
“My parents sent me a letter to congratulate me, I thought yours would too, but not exactly as a way to congratulate you,” I say carefully, Sirius looks away and plays anxiously with his fingers.
“It’s not the best letter I’ve received,” He replies lowly.
We stay quiet for a moment, then he continues.
“Now I’m a disapppointment for my family, Percy,” His voice trembles, “I’d never seen so manny threats in one letter,” He tries to sound like he’s joking, but his eyes are tearing up.
“I’m sorry,” I whisper, he just shakes his head.
“Don’t,” He sniffs, “either way, they never saw me as someone ‘worthy’ of the lastname. Besides, my mother’s words are nothing new.”
“I guess now she does have a reason to use them,” He shares his head and faces me.
“It doesn’t matter now, How are you doing with the snakes?” I smile, I don’t want to make him feel pressured, he’ll be ready to talk with me someday.
“I’m one of them now, you know?” I raise my brow.
“Nah, you don’t count, you’re a lot better than all of them, I’m sure,” I laugh at his words.
“All’s fine, though…” I grimace, “it looks like they’re not very nice with people, or maybe they just don’t like me.”
“Hey,” He says, surrounding my shoulders with his arms, “don’t worry about that, you don’t need them anyway, with me you have more than enough,” I roll my eyes and he laughs, it looks like the sensitive subject is long forgotten.
“Everything would be easier if we were in the same House.”
“I guess so, can you imagine if the both of had gotten into Gryffindor? Our parents would be fumming, but the jokes wouldn’t end, my dear Percy. Actually, you’d be great in our group,” I give him a confused glance, “oh yes, you remember James and Remus? We have a lot in common, and there’s this other kid, his name’s Peter. We could use a girl in our group.”
I shake my head, smiling at seeing how happy he is with them.
“I don’t think that I could be in your group. Maybe Remus would stand me, but I don’t know.”
“They would love you,” We share a look, he seems to be sincere with his words.
“I don’t know, Sirius.”
“C’mon! Give them a chance!”
“Alright,” He hugs me tightly and I squeal, causing him to laugh again.
“You wouldn’t regret it, dear Persephone,” I suddenly remember, He lets go of me and I get up from the ground.
“Come on, Sirius. Classes are about to start,” I offer my hand and help him get up. “See you later?”
“Of course, what class do you have now?”
“Herbology, then potions and you?”
“Transformations, but I think I also have potions later, we will surely be together.”
Finally good news.
“Great,” I say smiling.
“Save me a seat!”
I approach him and then kiss his cheek.
“See you later,” I say goodbye and continue walking towards the greenhouse, where we’ll have the class. Excited for the hours to pass quickly.
________________________________________
Finally it’s time to enter the potions class in the dungeons, I don’t get distracted by anything and quickly go to the classroom.
Before entering the room I debate whether to leave my things at the shared tables to set aside a place for Sirius and wait for him at the door or just sit down, but in the end it wins the second option. I put my bag in the chair next to me.
After a few minutes the other students arrive and I can see that there is a great division: the tables on the right side of the room are occupied by those of Gryffindor, while those on the left by Slytherin, nobody dares to mix.
My thoughts are interrupted by the laughter of someone I know quite well. I turn in my chair until I look towards the door, Sirius enters with his friends. I raise my arm a little, he walks in my direction, but James's arm stops him. I frown at the sight of his action.
The boy draws Sirius to him, my friend talks to him and points, James sees me and I try my best to smile and greet him with my hand, the boy returns to my friend and tells him something. Sirius looks confused and looks around.
Come on Sirius! Don't mind the division, please. I bite my lower lip as they keep talking, then Sirius nods looking at James and then returns to my direction.
He moves his lips "I'm sorry" and then follows James and sits on the Gryffindor side.
What happened? My sight doesn’t depart from its place, I don’t understand. He said to save him a place, but only with a few words from James he changes his mind?
I feel anger filling my body. Sirius looks up but this time I look away. I take my bag and leave it on my table with a heavy bang. It doesn't take long for the place to be occupied.
Professor Slughorn enters the classroom and the class begins.
_____________________________________
“I'm sorry, really, I'm sorry,” Sirius says following me. I just keep walking without looking at him. "Come on Percy, I did want to sit by your side just that-”
I stop.
“What did James tell you to change your mind?” He scratches his neck nervously.
“You saw that Gryffindor's were on the other side, it would've been weird if I sat next to you.”
“So what? It's their problem if they don't want to mix, I don't think they’re friends with a Slytherin, but you are!” I answer.
“I already said I'm sorry, I was a fool, the next class we’ll sit together,” My anger increases.
“You know very well that the tables are already made. Have fun with your new best friend,” I try to leave, but he grabs my arm.
“James is not my new best friend, I hardly know him.”
“And still, with just a few words he can manipulate you,” he releases a sigh.
“Listen, yes, James convinced me not to sit with you and I know we had agreed that we would be together. I was sorry, as soon as the class started, I was thinking about how you would do it or the comments we made, there are many things that only you understand and it wasn't that fun. I regretted the moment I sat on the other side.”
His gray eyes show regret and I know that wet-dog face, he always uses it to avoid getting into trouble. I release a sigh.
“Well, I forgive you, but-” he interrupts me and suddenly I’m already wrapped in a hug.
“Thanks, thanks, thanks, thanks. You’re brilliant!” He says.
"I know, but you must make up for the mistake, Sirius.” He nods several times.
“Anything you want.”
“I'll think of something, and you must promise not to leave me again for your friends,” I point out.
“I promise, Percy.”
________________________________
Fifth year.
I think this is the stupidest idea I've had in a long time. Maybe it's the stupidest of my life.
I can't retract now. Well, maybe I can, but if I do it will be worse.
I must do it, I want to do it, but I'm afraid. He will tell his friends and everything will go to hell. And basically, I will die.
Agh! Damn anxiety. Leave this body, please.
Okay, breathe. Inhale and exhale.
He's just a boy, the most harmless I've ever met.
Merlin, I hope not to die trying.
I enter the library, search among the bookshelfs and finally find the boy. I bite my bottom lip and hide behind a bookcase near the table where he is.
“You can, don't be a coward, it's for a good cause,” I whisper. Without letting another negative thought come to my mind, I walk to his table and sit in front of him.
He looks up and lowers the book he was reading, seems confused. I do not blame him. I try to give him my best innocent smile, but I know I can only make a face.
“You're okay?” I erase my expression and clear my throat.
“Yes, better than ever,” he nods, still confused raises his eyebrows waiting for me to say something. And of course my hands decide to start sweating, “I-I was wondering if…” I say stuttering, “Okay, I have... t-maybe... me.”
“What do you want, Persephone?” Ask in annoyance.
Shit this is already ruined and I haven't even started. I inhale deeply and exhale, preparing myself.
“I need a favor.”

Thank You, Dear Last Night’s Mental Breakdown.
| Barista!Han Jisung Au |
💌 Requested? Yes -- @jone-00
🌸 Genre: Fluff, a hint of a hint of Angst. As much angst as a Strawberry flavored La Croix has Strawberry.
✏️ Word Count: 2,600
!GIFS ARE NOT MINE!
T/W: Mentions of a mental breakdown, doesn’t go into detail.
A/N: Get ready, you bean. We about to enter some emotional and fluffy territory. Bring yo shades-- to look cool AND to make sure people can’t see you crying.
Also I’m sorry if this secretly sucks and I have no idea. Leave your thoughts so I can improve and know what’s good and what isn’t! I read all feedback and they all are important to me! <3
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You breathe out, the light sunshine kissing your lashes as your eyes flutter open. The buzz of your alarm fills the air.
Your eyes glide softly to the dress you hung up on your bedroom doorknob. The early sunrise sets the warm shadows of your room across the lightly pleated skirt. The fabric’s rosy pastel-pink hues are cast onto the white paint of your door.
You breath in, and out again. Let’s begin.
You had a mental breakdown the night before. They aren’t an irregular thing for you, but you wish badly they are. After crying, trembling, and crumbling slowly for hours, you stopped suddenly. You clenched your fists and stared, determined, into your very own eyes through that mirror.
I’m not going to let you fall apart like this anymore. I can’t-- I won’t.
So you stood up, breathing shakily. Scared, you started making preparations for what you were determined to be a better tomorrow.
What can I do that would make my younger self proud? You jot down ideas that would suddenly come to you as you set clothes out, put trash in a bin, and tried your best to write reminders.
“Making your younger self proud” has always been a way to measure how happy you are with where you’re at in life. You saw it in a newspaper, or maybe your mother heard it-- it might have even been a popular Tumblr text post, who knows! You just know it’s been your compass to point you in the right direction for about three years now.
You have an emotional attachment to the things you went through as a child, and if you could go back in time and just hold her, and tell her everything would be okay, you would. Doing things that would make younger-you smile is your way of doing that.
I’ll go to the cafe in a pretty dress that makes me feel happy, you wrote carefully. You remembered as a child dreaming about romantic cafes and old books. You sighed, releasing pent up air, feeling your muscles relax, little by little. If I did that, I think that would make my younger self proud...
By the time you made it to your bed that night, it was only 9:12pm. You fell down in your bed and closed your eyes, feeling your space. Your favorite-but-forgotten dress that now hung there on your door; the sneakers you once bought yourself and have finally decided to wear; the alarm clock that, for the first time in three years, was set for 6:00am; and a notebook full of ideas to return to the person you never were but always wanted to be, that sits on your bedside table.
You fell asleep, muscles relaxing. You, melting into your bed, almost becoming one with it.
* * *
Fast forward to where we started-- you are sitting upright in bed and staring at your dress. It seems to stare right back at you. Can you really do this, Y/N?
“Can I do this?”
Yes. I will.
You swing your legs over your bed, and you feel the fear begin to fall away like an old skin being shed from a new body. Suddenly, you feel light and happy, slipping on the bright-white wedge sneakers. The dress glides down your body, the fabric sending shivers up your spine as it falls into place.
As you pull the zipper up the side of your torso. you think about what you’re going to order when you get to the cafe. I haven’t been there since my mother came to the university to drop me off. I miss her... what did she order that day? I hope I can remember once I get there.
* * *
The jingle of tiny bells above the door tickles your ears as you swing the glass door open. The cafe is mostly empty, other than a mother and her child quietly sitting in a booth by the window. Succulents and aged books lined hanging shelves on either side of the room. The hanging lights gave the cafe a soft industrial feel, and the glass pastry displays made the room that much sweeter. Mom had chosen this cafe because she said it felt like a secret place that only few knew about... She liked how special it felt because of that. You smile softly at the thought of your mother. I think ill come here more often. I miss her.
A boy from behind the counter snaps his head up to look at you, his blond bangs tossing lightly as he does so. “W.. would you like something?”
You snap out of your daze and realize how long you’ve been just standing there in the doorway, staring at everything. You lock eyes with the boy.
“Oh! Uh-- yeah, I’m sorry! Ahm...” You stutter.
“Don’t worry about it!” He waves it off.
You brush your hair behind your ears and walk to the counter. You quickly read his name tag. Jisung.
His bright smile puts you at a light and airy ease. Maybe I wasn’t as awkward as I thought I was being...?
“Have you been here before...?” He tilted his head to the side like a little kid, eyebrows raised curiously.
Wow. That was attractive.
“Um, kind of... i’ve only been here once. When my brother-- mother!-- brought me... yeah, haha..”
Sparkling conversationalist.
...Wait-- don’t insult yourself! Be positive, Y/N!! You can make your younger self proud today!!!!
You open your mouth to speak, but you don’t know what to say, so you immediately shut it again.
Why is talking to pretty boys so hard?
NO! JUST GO FOR IT! F L I r T !! WHAT DO YOU WANT IN LIFE, HAH?
“...So anyway, that’s basically all we’ve got at this cafe right now.” He looks at you, smiling patiently.
Wait, has he been talking to me this whole time? Agh! I haven’t even been listening!
“Oh! I forgot, we also have--”
“Do you come here often?”
Well. You just made things worse, didn’t you?
“What?”
CODE RED CODE RED CODEREDCODEREDCODEREDCODEREDCODEREDCODEREDCODEREDCO
This is not a thing that makes your younger self proud, Y/N. This is the opposite.
YOU JUST ASKED THE BARISTA IF HE COMES HERE OFTEN. YOU NOW HAVE PERMISSION TO RIP OFF YOUR ANKLES.
You watch in horror as he stares at you, frozen to the touch, with those eyes.
“Oh! Did you ask me if I come here often? I thought I didn’t hear what you said at first. Yeah-- I work here actually! Thanks for asking!” I smiles, oblivious to your failed flirting.
“Oh, um. S-sure thing!”
Mission... not abort..ed?
Well-- This means I don’t ever have to think what happened ever again! Wonderful.
You aren’t sure if he’s actually dumb or if you just suck at reading him-- but either way, there’s no escaping the situation now. Unless you’re willing to literally sprint out of the cafe and run all the way back to your apartment, lock the door, and cry in the shower.
But, unfortunately for everyone else, you aren’t willing to do that.
“Um, when my mom came here, she ordered something really specific, but I can’t remember what it was called or anything...,” You say hesitantly.
“Yeah-- Don’t worry at all! Do you remember what it looked or tasted like at all?”
His enthusiasm encourages you and you feel brighter. “Yeah! Uh, it had strawberries in it, and a special kind of cream-- I think? And then there was this special topping she got on it. It was green? The topping? Sorry if that sounds totally dumb, but I just now that it-- they-- were green, I guess, haha!” You feel your heart start to beat faster the more you talk to him. Why am I nervous? and stuttering?? It’s just a drink, jeez.
Suddenly excited, his eyes squint with a wide smile. “Ooohhh! Were they mint spirals, maybe? I love those soooo much!!!”. You don’t even know what those are, but that isn’t gonna stop you from nodding excitedly with him. It would have been hard not to. When he smiles you kind of just want to join on the thrill, I guess.
You notice a whisper of heat brushing against your cheeks as he turns to the chalkboard behind him and points at a meticulous drawing of a fluffy pink drink. “Did it look like that??”
Excited to have found your mom’s favorite drink, you nod, a big smile leaving your eyes in the shape of giggling crescents. “Yes! Yeah! That’s exactly it, I think!”
His sunshine-smile turns half shy. “Great! I’ll get that just for you then...,” He softly says. He turns his back to you as he hurries around behind the counter to concoct the drink.
Were his cheeks flushed like that this whole time?
... Whatever...
You carefully sit down at one of the pretty little cafe tables closest to the counter so you can be ready to grab your drink as soon as it’s ready. You have maybe a few minutes, so you pull your notebook with the chestnut leather cover out from your purse. You open the middle of the book to where you urgently wrote down the ideas the night before.
things that would make my younger self proud of me:
- keeping a journal
- keeping my body clean
- wearing the clothes that make me feel peaceful
- waking up at a time that makes me feel happy
- wearing the clothes I’m scared others will judge me for
- going to the cafe in a pretty dress that makes me feel happy
- talking to people I feel like talking to but am scared to
- going on a cute date say sike rn
Smiling to yourself, you use a pencil to put a check next to the third-to-last one. You thought of scratching it out, but you didn’t want it to be gone from your precious list completely... you feel you’ll be coming back soon. You like how it feels.
Nevertheless, you are glad you’re here. You’ve gathered the courage to come here when it’s been so hard for you lately! You look down at your lap and give a sigh of relief. Closing your eyes, you take in how it feels to be here.
It’s different, but warm here. It smells of both exotic and familiar flavors. The lullaby effect of the fluffy low-fi music overhead mixed with the gentle metallic sounds of Jisung working behind the counter is somehow comforting. You lift your head and peak over at him slyly, watching as he leans against the mixing machine. He seems to be waiting on something.
You watch almost in shock as he slowly peeks over his shoulder to look at you, making quick eye-contact on accident. You smile instinctively-- not even knowing why.
He turns his face back to what he was doing as soon as this moment happens and you notice a smile he’s hiding and the blush that’s growing on his face. You turn your body to see more of his turned-away face from where you’re at, and as you do, you spy the massive smile he’s desperately trying to hide. Oh dear, he’s adorable.
Bubbles rise in your stomach and your lungs seem to fill with cotton candy as his undeniably-cute, blushing self hits you all at once.
-- o h. Oh n o.
You lean back in your chair again, suddenly very worried.
No? No. No!
It always gets bad once I get crushes on people.
You make an immediate promise to yourself to not at all drop any hints that you kind of want to mayhaps hold this almost-stranger’s hand. Flirting is fine when you don’t actually like the person-- once you genuinely develop feelings, it’s absolutely not a good idea anymore. Everyone knows that. Good, cute things with crushes only happen in fan-fiction and Wattpad stories.
Sike.
All of a sudden, you notice the sound of clinking and whirring has stopped from behind the counter.
“Am-- uh-- am I interrupting you... at all, or something?”
Reality crashes into your view again as you tilt your head up and to the side to lock eyes with Jisung. Ah.
“W--what?”
“Ahm, you just looked kind of... really worried about something.” He furrows his brows, confused. “Anyway-- here’s your drink!”
“Oh-- thank you! Yeah, I was just-- thinking about something! Haha!
He sets your drink on the table and pauses for a moment. “By the way, your dress is really pretty, I think.” Jisung Blush: Activated. “Don’t mean that in a weird way! I just thought you maybe might like to know...”
🎵 KISS KISS FALL IN LOOOVE 🎵🎵🎵🎵
“Oh, thanks! I actually tried this morning, haha!”
“Oh, yeah? Well I think you look great. But you already know that, i guess, haha..” Jisung Confidence: Boosted-- Reason: Compliment Accepted.
You feel your ears heat up as you avert your eyes, looking down at your drink. “Thanks again! It’s funny because I didn’t even have an occasion to dress up for. I just sort of did it to treat myself, I guess.” You smile softly, proud.
“Isn’t that enough of an occasion? I think celebrating yourself is a worthwhile thing.” He sits down across from you, muttering something about how nobody is going to show up to the cafe in a while.
You look up at him, smiling in agreement. “Right? It really helps to take care of yourself. I think it’s one of the best ways to pick yourself back up from something hard.”
He tilts his head like he did before, but this time with worry. “Are you going through something..?... Oh, you don’t have to answer! I pry without thinking first sometimes...”
“No, no! It’s okay. I don’t mind talking about it to others, it’s good for people who need to hear it...” Why do I feel so comfortable with telling him about this..? I’m sure it won’t do any harm. He’s being genuine after all...
“Well, if you really do feel like telling me, we won’t be having customers again until about 10:30-ish. I’m all ears!”
Your heart said: Oof.
As soon as you start explaining the night before and all that lead up to it, he leans in, his hands cupping his face, intent on every word you say. You tell him about all the stress, issues, and fears-- both self-inflicted and otherwise-- that are holding you down lately. He nods and listens, asking clarifying questions.
You notice how his reactions remain compassionate when you talk about the hard things that are happening because of your own mistakes. A feeling of warmth and safety sets in after you finishing your monologue. You apologize for taking so long-- maybe thirty minutes?-- but he immediately tells you it’s all okay.
“No, please don’t say sorry!! I really am grateful when people share what they are going through with me... It helps me to connect with them better and find ways to help them feel better. Don’t be sorry.” He softly smiles and gently asks if you are all done.
“Yeah-- heh-- i’m done. Thank you so much for listening! I’m really grateful I have-- had-- someone to listen to me...” You rub your eyes worriedly, afraid you might have started crying at some point while telling him the whole story.
He stares down at the table for a moment, quiet. “Hey, wanna be random?”
You giggle. “Always.”
“Wanna go on a date?”
“What?”
“I understand if you don’t want to. You seem to be working through a lot of things right now... I don’t want to--” Jisung Blush: Reactivated And Intensified.
“Yes.”
“WhAT?”
“Yeah!.. I think that would be awesome.”
Jisung is suddenly beaming, which makes you instantly happier. Dang, mirror neurons are so cute.

sometimes i can be a little too understanding to the point of naturally agreeing after thinking about the topic for a second. i’m not really into pda and prefer to keep things private. if you set me off and made it known to me you aren’t a good person, i can be pretty harsh and sadistic. (2/3)✨👁
parts 1 and 3: Can i get a match up please? preferably a guy and student. im an introverted lazy and scattered brain girl. i’m a isfp and pisces. im a big cat and foodie person.im a pretty quiet person and enjoy indoor activities and the horror/thrill genre. I enjoy creating such as cooking, baking, drawing, writing! i tend to daydream/space out.im pretty awkward & i don’t have a lot of friends but i do enjoy meeting new people.when i open up i like to tease (not in like a flirty way) & joke around. ive been told i’m a rather calm person... I’m more of a ‘enjoy the peace rn and worry later’ kind of person. i favor honesty the most in a person (1/3) ✨👁 agh thank you so much! sorry for the trouble ^^; <3 my brain works faster than my mouth so i stumble on my words sometimes. i consider myself a realist, but though i may stray from it sometimes. I like to help out my friends and give them advice. i always lend a ear and help them process their feelings. in a romantic relationship, i tend to overthink and see inconsistencies which makes me spiral. i’m usually a person who stands alone, but will latch onto my partner if i feel incredibly insecure. my love language is words of affirmation. (3/3)✨👁
omg no trouble at all!! thank you for submitting and for being so patient and understanding 😭💕💖💕💕 ur the best!! 💞
i ship you with hitoshi shinso!
you’re both quite independent, calm, and reserved people. i think hitoshi would appreciate a likeminded partner!!
i think he’d also just,, want to protect you omg- you guys don’t have a lot of friends, so i’m willing to bet that denki introduced you guys (more so to set shinso up with you BDNSKHFJDB) and you both got really close due to your similarities and shared interests!
shinso thinks your teasing is cute and likes to ruffle your hair when you poke fun at him hehe aw~ he teases you back about your laziness (he doesn’t mean anything by it tho!) but also finds ways for you guys to get up and do stuff together to feel productive !! c:
you guys combine your love of cats and food and go to cat cafes 。゚(゚´ω`゚)゚。 he loves seeing how excited you get when one of the cats approaches you and how gentle you are when petting them 😭 he’s such a softie for you i can’t-
i think shinso would appreciate that you enjoy the horror genre because he feels like he doesn’t frighten you as much as he does others (poor bb-). also loves how cute u are when u get spooked by jump scares and hide ur face in his shoulder hehe \(//∇//)\
you have a very honest and loyal relationship, where you’re both able to come to each other with any and all problems you face (*^ω^*)
shinso catches onto your habit of agreeing to things too quickly. he often stops you before you make a decision so that you can collect your thoughts and not agree to something you’ll regret!! <:
intimidating couple when u need to be >:3 if anyone crosses you guys ur both ready to give them a piece of your minds!! >:D
i can see him also not being super into pda, enjoying your private time together a lot more. when you’re alone together, he feels the most comfortable showing affection TwT 💞💞💞
shinso likes that you’re a realist and that you’re able to take things as they are. he thinks it makes you really strong and reliable (*´꒳`*) any time you stray from your realist mindset, he’s able to keep you grounded and avoid as much stress as possible 💜
he’s a really observant boyfriend. so he notices when you start to spiral from any insecurities and will 100% confront you about it so that he can try to make you feel better. shinso will remind you as many times as he needs to that he wouldn’t change a single thing about you nor would he ever let you go ( ;∀;)💞

Late Night Visit
Alright since I’ve been lacking motivation to write out my original story, i started a new one and finished it in just one or two days (yay?)
I think starting something new actually gave me a boost and it turned out into this short thing!
Also special thanks to @snk-characters-thoughts for reviving my love for this ship 💕💕
It most likely is super messy and shitty and short but its been too long since i last posted something so here we go!
Read here or on ao3
-----------
After a failed mission outside the walls, the soldiers returned home. Far away from the titans and behind protecting walls. They’ve made many losses, uncountable soldiers wounded and injured. The mission failed and it was better they retreated before they’d lose much more precious soldiers.
Sasha got injured badly after she tried to save Connie from a titan that came too close. The titan raised his hand and pretty much slapped her against the ground like a fly after she managed to push her friend out of the way. Connie ended the job and helped Sasha onto his horse to get her out of danger afterwards.
It was risky and dangerous but they eventually made it back and were now getting settled in the headquarters. Mikasa took care of Sasha’s wounds, which luckily weren’t as severe as expected. She had a broken leg and bruises over her arm and face- somehow, she managed to fall just right. That didn’t mean she wasn’t in pain, though. Everything hurt, moving around was draining and, worst of all, she hasn’t gotten any food since their return.
“Hnngg...” She shuffled uncomfortably on the bed, groaning with each time she moved a muscle. Her gaze flicked over to the window, at the bright stars and moon, illuminating her room.
It probably was already after midnight but she wasn’t sure, she lost track of time. After what felt like hours, the door of her room opened and someone came inside. Her eyes immediately shot wide open and she licked her lips. That smell... it could only be one thing.
“Is that-?!“
“Meat, yes.” The person, who turned out to be Levi, cut in shortly and approached her bed. “Everyone’s already sleeping and I knew you would be hungry. It’s not much but it should be enough to satisfy your needy ass for now.”
The brunette began panting with anticipation, her drool literally rolling down her chin. “Th-That’s really considerate of you, c-captain!”
Levi placed the tray on the nightstand so he could help Sasha sitting up and placed the pillow behind her back for support. “Whatever, just eat up.” The tray was placed onto Sasha’s lap and the soldier immediately began munching on the luscious meat gleefully. Her eyes pretty much gleamed with how good it was to eat juicy, delicious meat.
Levi was watching her a little disgusted, but he just sighed and reached down to pull Sasha’s hair out of her face. “You eat like a pig.” He commented as he took the hair tie from the nightstand drawer and tied up the girl’s hair. Her hair shouldn’t get into the food, at very least.
Sasha didn’t answer Levi- probably didn’t even hear him either, and, suddenly, she had the strength to move her arms around so wildly. She was way too focused on her heavenly meal and wasn’t interested in anything else. It actually was just a bowl of soup, some bread and a cup of hot tea, together with the extra meat on the side. To Sasha, this was the best meal she had in forever.
While Sasha was pretty much moaning with each bite, Levi folded his arms over his chest and watched her almost amusedly. It was quite funny to watch Sasha eating as if she was close to starving. Even if she was always like that, this time it was different.. somehow. Levi felt different.
“Agh-!!” Sasha suddenly exclaimed and opened her mouth to fan her burned tongue. “Hothothot!!!” She exclaimed in distress, looking up at Levi helplessly with her tongue stuck out.
Raising a brow, Levi tilted his head lightly and let out a short snort. Then he reached down and ruffled the girl’s hair gently, “That’s your own fault, brat. Tea is hot.” He stated as a fact which made Sasha chuckle. She leaned up into his touches, liking the little affection she got a lot.
“There’s something else hot here too...” The girl muttered to herself. Levi’s hand stopped at that and he eyed her suspiciously, but Sasha just chuckled and held up her bowl. “My soup!” She exclaimed and slurped down the rest of it quietly. Lucky for her, the bowl covered most of her face so there was no way for Levi to have seen the faint blush on her cheeks.
By the time Sasha lowered her bowl again, the tea’s temperature cooled down just enough to be drunk without getting burned another time. When she finally was done with everything and hadn’t left a single crumble on the tray, Sasha leaned back with an satisfied sigh and placed her hand on her belly. “That was so good... Thank you, captain.”
After Levi took the tray back, Sasha carefully scooted back into a laying position. She nuzzled her head into the pillow, her gaze staying on Levi while he took the tray and headed over to the door without losing another word.
But before he could reach out for the doorknob, the brunette spoke up timidly, “Captain? It’s really boring here, would you mind to stay?”
“Tch.” Levi sounded annoyedly, shooting her a glare from over his shoulder. “Do I look like a clown to you? Do you expect me to entertain you or what?”
“Wha-?“ She immediately shook her head before averting her gaze somewhere else. “No, sir. I just.. kinda feel lonely. I don’t want to stay here alone..” She admitted, fiddling with her blanket, “Please? Just this once. I’ll... clean up the stables, if you want!”
Her offer was turned down by Levi’s flicking wrists, “You’ve got a broken leg, it’ll take some time for you to walk again, idiot.” Nonetheless, Levi walked back over to her and took a seat on the bed as he placed the tray back on the nightstand.
Sasha’s eyes lit up and she quickly made space on her bed for Levi to lay down next to her, giving him a huge, happy grin. The raven only stared at her like she was a maniac- which she most definitely was- and folded his arms over his chest. “No.” He said firmly.
Then Sasha pouted, her eyes becoming sad and her lip stuck out, even quivering a little. “Please? Pretty please? Pretty please with sprinkles on top and a-“
“-Ugh..“ Levi growled and slapped his hand over her mouth, narrowing his eyes deeply. “You’re a pain in the ass, I hope you know that.” He growled under his breath. Feeling Sasha smiling behind his hand made him eventually gave in, and Levi hesitantly got into bed and laid down beside her.
His gaze stayed fixated on the ceiling and Sasha could tell he was feeling awkward. She didn’t want him to, so she slowly inched closer until she could wrap an arm around his torso and looked up at him. The raven looked utterly confused at the soldier, his brows knitted together.
“What’re you doing?” He questioned which made Sasha get even closer.
“It’s called cuddling, you’ll like it.” Placing her head on Levi’s chest, Sasha closed her eyes slowly.
“I know what cuddling is, brat. I mean-“ He stopped himself from finishing his sentence when he saw Sasha getting comfortable on his chest. She snuggled and nuzzled him, holding onto him while Levi just stared down at her. Though, the longer she was laying there, the sooner Levi just accepted it and reached down to wrap one arm around her in return. Not even Levi had the heart to pull away anymore.
“...Goodnight.” He murmured softly, turning over to blow out the candle before finally relaxing. They just came back from the mission this afternoon, everyone needed some rest.
When morning rolled around, Levi was already awake. He’s been awake for a while but didn’t move or talk to not wake the sleeping soldier. He found himself playing with the ends of Sasha’s hair, though, to give himself something to do.
Soon, the brunette woke up with a yawn, her arms squeezing Levi. Her eyes blinked open slowly and she laid there lazily for a while longer. It was too early to wake up or do anything.
She could feel that Levi still was in bed with her and turned her head over to look at him. “Morning, captain. How did you sleep?” She chirped, resting her chin on his chest as she watched him.
The raven stared at her and just rolled his eyes at her question. “Fine. Now let me get up, I’ve got shit to do.” He ordered and tried pushing himself up but Sasha was faster and kept him down.
“Not now. I wanna cuddle some longer!” She whined like a child which earned herself a flick on the forehead, making her whine.
“That was enough cuddling for you. There’s work waiting for me.” He repeated and pushed her back, only to be embraced once again. “Oi!”
“Levi, please.” Sasha dropped the title and looked at him with big eyes and a pout. “Just a little longer.”
With a heavy sigh, Levi plopped back into the pillow and glared at the brunette. “You’re even more annoying than Jaeger.” He commented as Sasha just smiled.
“Let’s play a game.”
Levi snarled, “Are you fucking-“
“C’mon. If you win, I’ll let you go.” She offered.
The raven grumbled something under his breath, but ended up nodding nonetheless. The faster he got out, the faster he could finish his work.
“Alright, you need to close your eyes and guess what I’m drawing on your chest.”
“That’s the most stupid game I’ve ever heard of.“ Levi deadpanned.
“Just close your eyes, grumpy.” Sasha giggled, yet a little scared in case she crossed the line with her little nickname.
Levi didn’t look pleased- then again, when did he even look pleased to begin with? He was still frowning and for a second, Sasha thought he’d slap her. Instead, he just exhaled and closed his eyes to just get done with it.
The girl smiled and pressed her finger against Levi’s chest. Before she could even do anything, Levi spoke up, “Meat.”
“Hey!” Sasha complained, “I didn’t even start yet! That didn’t count!”
The raven would’ve rolled his eyes but, since they were closed, he just clicked his tongue annoyedly.
Huffing, Sasha placed her hand back on the captain’s chest and glanced up at him. She sucked in a breath and carefully leaned up so she was facing him. Her eyes traveled all over the handsome features of his face and stopped at his lips.
“Get done with it already, brat.”
Heart thumping against her chest, Sasha sucked in a breath and trailed her hand up so she was cupping Levi’s cheek in her palm and could tilt his head. She saw the change in his expression; his brows suddenly lifted all the way up, his lips parting as if to say something.
But before he had any chance to do so, Sasha quickly closed the gap between them by pressing her lips against his. She shut her eyes tightly, tense, and maybe a little scared- a lot scared.
The kiss barely lasted a few seconds before the brunette pulled back again, her cheeks tinted in a beautifully deep shade of red. She looked down and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.
Silence.
It was unbearable. She couldn’t tell if she should be happy or just made the biggest mistake of her entire life. This was Levi, after all. Cold, stoic, mean Levi.
On the other hand, Levi also was really compassionate and had a good heart. Deep inside, he wasn’t as mean as he let people think. Sasha saw him interacting with animals or people who were close to him, like Hanji and Erwin. It was a hard shell with a core made of pure gold.
And that was what made these feelings inside her grow from day to day. She caught herself watching him more often than she should, worrying about his well being and his health. Levi soon grew to be such an important person in her life and she didn’t believe it was coincidence that, out of all people, Levi was the one who came to bring her food. After all, he could’ve just told anyone to do it.
Not to mention that he actually agreed to sleeping next to her and agreed to playing this stupid game with her. He didn’t say anything when she called him by his name, not even when she gave him a nickname... Something deep inside her told her that maybe, just maybe, Levi didn’t only saw her as a soldier. Maybe, to him, she meant just as much.
But now that she really kissed him and made the first step, Sasha was scared. What did she even think? Levi was her captain, her superior, in no way it’d be acceptable for them to be.. a thing, would it? Her heart took over her mind and now she didn’t know what to do anymore.
How could she even be so stupid? Levi was the captain of the Survey Corps! He had responsibilities and duties and if people found out he started something with one of his soldiers, they’d think wrong of him and probably lose their respect towards him.
Also, she had a feeling he was pretty close with Hanji. She once heard him saying he bathed and cleaned her repeatedly and always saw them together. It didn’t have to mean anything, of course, but Sasha didn’t have a good feeling about that. Sure, she was very close with Connie too, but she didn’t bathe him...
“...I’m sorry, captain. I got ahead of myself.” She muttered once the silence became too tense to bear any longer and swallowed the lump in her throats. “You.. can leave, I won’t bother you anymore...”
With that, Sasha pulled herself away from Levi and carefully scooted to the other side of the bed to give Levi space. She turned around so her back was facing him and stared at the wall in front of her.
Levi was still so quiet and Sasha began trembling. What would happen now? Would he hit her because she took advantage of him like that? Or would he let her clean the whole castle for weeks? Or maybe he’d kick her out of the military..? What would happen?! She didn’t know.
After what seemed like forever, she heard shuffling on the bed and shut her eyes tightly, preparing herself for what was about to come. She felt a gentle hand on her shoulder, turning her over, and soon after, felt the same hand cupping her chin. The girl shivered, her eyes gleaming with tears.
“C-capt-“ She wasn’t even able to start her sentence and already felt these soft lips connecting with her own. She hiccuped against Levi’s lips and shut her eyes tightly as she turned around and clutched onto Levi’s shirt.
This time, the kiss lasted much longer. It made Sasha’s heart flutter and made all the negative thoughts fade away in a matter of an heartbeat. The tears that formed in her eyes escaped and dripped down her cheeks, all the way down.
A couple of good moments later, Levi broke the kiss, his hands coming up to hold Sasha’s face, his thumbs gingerly rubbing away her tears. “I will leave because I’ve got work to get done,” He stated, “But I can assure you, I’ll come be back in the evening. And then I’ll be the one bothering you.”
Sasha laughed weakly at that and nuzzled his palms with closed eyes. “Sounds fair.” Her heart calmed down again and her whole body began relaxing. This felt right, it felt comfortable and it was such a big burden that got lifted off her shoulders. She was just overthinking it all in her panic. Finally, Sasha was at peace.
“Just rest now. I’ll tell one of the brats to get you breakfast.” He leaned up to press a long kiss on Sasha’s forehead before he got up from the bed and fixed the blanket around her a little. “And wash up, you smell like shit.” He said a little more seriously but Sasha could see he didn’t really mean it and just wanted her to get clean. Maybe that’d get her more cuddles.
A smile, “Will do.”
With a last nod, Levi lifted the tray he brought with him last night and walked over to the door. He opened it, walked out, and gently closed it behind himself.
The brunette watched him leave and stared at the door with a big smile.
She felt like an idiot, a happy idiot.

to toasts, and schooling
“So I’m stuck there asking the obvious, which is, ‘why do you think you should marry her?’” And Tony’s trying to hold on to the lighthearted tone, he was, but it’s hard to not let sincerity sneak in when you’ve got Peter Parker watching you deliver a toast in his honour, luminescent in his happiness. When you’ve got a crowd of people you love and respect hanging on your every word – and Steve Rogers at the back of said crowd, glass untouched in his hand; gaze undimmed by time, as steady and unwavering as it was twenty years ago. “And Peter answers back, the most assured I’ve ever seen him, ‘Because I want to’.”
“I’m looking for the groom. Have you seen him?”
The server opened his mouth, and shut it again. Hitched his tray of Captain America themed canapes a little higher, like readying himself to fling it into Tony’s face at the slightest hint of danger. “Uh. This is an anniversary party?”
“Being the organiser slaving after this shindig for ages – I am aware.” Tony parsed out a smile, perilously polite. “The groom?”
The server blinked wide eyes. “I think I saw him near the fajitas?”
“Brilliant, of course you did.” Tony spun around on his heels, ignoring the flinch and subsequent wobble the server and his tray executed. The fajita table was on the far end of the hall, and it took fifteen whole minutes of ducking and weaving (okay fine, the crowds parted before him a la Moses-and-the-Red-Sea, but it still took fifteen darn minutes) to find the man of the hour and creep up behind him. Tony crossed his arms, realised it rendered him incapable of actually drawing said man’s attention, uncrossed them again and tapped the guy on his shoulder, if a bit imperiously.
“You were supposed to be here an hour ago.”
It was still a jolt to the brain, a brief shot of cognitive dissonance on watching him turn – that square jaw, more well-shaved than baby-smooth, a head of hair that had truly outgrown its teenaged-mop phase, the black lines of a suit that didn’t look loosely propped on a wire hanger, but rather like it…fit. Those eyes would always remain the same though – idealistic spark and impossible kindness twinned in dark irises.
Nevertheless, Peter Parker remained a sneaky bastard who wouldn’t answer a straight accusation. Instead, his thin brows went winging to his hairline, eyes flitting up and down Tony’s frame dubiously. “You look…shiny.”
(Agh, the voice shitted him the most. Tony missed that reedy, high-pitched wonder of a larynx, dammit.)
“Needless to say, if tomorrow’s headlines are going to be Unmarried silver fox presides over protégé’s ten-year anniversary , you bet your wedded ass I’m gonna lean into it.” Tony smoothed down the lapels of his own three-piece – dove gray, just a few shades lighter than his hair, with silver pinstripes. Shiny was one word for it. Awesome was another.
“You need to stop saying that.” Peter turned back to his little paper plate boasting a fajita tower of over six inches, easy. Hell, to have a metabolism like that. The last time Tony had indulged in Mexican, he’d been toilet-ridden with gastro for over a week. “Last time MJ misheard you and now she keeps threatening to weld my ass shut.”
Ah, those innocent days when Peter would rather spontaneously combust than use the a-word in front of ‘Mr Stark’. Tony pinched a scrap of cheese from Peter’s plate, the latter barely blinking an eye. “Well, who told you to enter holy matrimony at twenty-one, then?”
Peter stared at him flatly. “You did.”
“Damn right I did.” Tony affirmed with pride, scarfing down the cheese in a single gulp. Mm, cotija. “And still no grandkids for Uncle Tony.”
“Genealogically, that’s an impossibility.” Ooh, big word – though there was a tiny bean-scented burp between syllables three and four. Peter cleared his throat, faintly pink.
There was another tempting little cheesy strip hanging out the bottom fajita, Tony’s fingers were positively itching. To cheese or not to cheese? Gah, who cared, you only lived an average of four times, being a caped crusader. And so through a mouthful of snatched dairy and more than a little beef: “The main thing, and don’t you think I haven’t noticed you avoiding it with your ten-dollar words – you were supposed to be here an hour ago.”
“There was a call to Assemble.” Peter replied, perfectly straight faced.
Tony’s eyes narrowed, even as he proceeded to lick up the grease lingering around his fingernails. “I didn’t hear of it.”
“Not sure if they still keep you in the know, but I tend to do the calling these days.” The swagger was nowhere near Stark levels, but unmistakeably present. It was brilliant.
“Was that an ‘old, useless relic’ dig?” Tony approximated a glare to the best of his ability. “And after all I did for you when you were a midget.”
“Nothing like being called ‘Underoos’ to legitimise your identity as a superhero.” Peter was demolishing the tower faster than it had piled up, till only draggly, soggy bits of vegetable remained.
“Fine. I suppose I’ll just have to ask Kamala about this mysterious call to arms–”
“Fine, I misplaced my cufflinks, jeez .” Well-tailored as they were, Peter’s sleeves still flapped with his gesturing, aforementioned cufflinks glinting under the light – blood-red hour glass shapes embossed on plain obsidian circles. “Just because she hangs on your every word with all the fangirling and ‘Mr Stark’s–”
“Golly gee, I wonder who that reminds me of–”
“ Tony .” Mock frustrated as the tone was, Peter was still grinning. Tony could feel his heart swell a million sizes.
Peter commenced tugging his sleeves back over his wrists, straightening them conscientiously, fingers lingering absently on the smoothed curve of the cufflinks. “Speaking of – did Nat say she was coming?”
“With an Itsy Bitsy Spider mug, no less.” Tony cast a last, disconsolate look at the fajita table and turned away. “Also still can’t believe she lets you call her that.”
“Just spider solidarity.” Peter positively beamed, and Tony could have recited the next words in his sleep because it had to be the fifty thousand and seven hundredth time he’d heard them, “She first taught me how to–”
“Fight, I know. What with all the positive word-of-mouth, the Black Widow’s lessons on ‘Strangling: Why use fingers when you’ve got a perfectly serviceable pair of thighs’ have been overbooked for the past decade.”
“Not that I don’t mentally note it down every time you say stuff like that–” Peter straightened up noticeably, smile broadening till it went from charming to no-one-panic-but-we’ve-got-a-DEFCON-5, “but I’m going to have to ask you to save it for the toast. Which you’re making right now.”
“Why do I have to–”
“Because I’d rather not explain to my wife that I was over an hour late to my ten-year anniversary party looking for my lucky Black Widow cufflinks.” Peter was emitting at the rate of approximately five words per second – impressive really. Moments like these, Tony kinda got why they called Peter his spiritual heir. Also – holy shit that was MJ stalking through the crowd towards them, resplendent in red and calmly murderous.
Peter grabbed at the first glass that floated by on a server’s tray and shoved it into Tony’s hands. His fingers curled around the glass stem on autopilot – ooh, Dr Pepper – even as he stumbled a few steps ahead, being not-so-gently-nudged at the back by a certain someone who needed to keep a lid on the super strength, darn it.
“Okay, so we’re apparently having a toast now.” He hadn’t even spoken that much louder than his usual volume, but it was like a ripple effect: the clusters of people around him immediately quietened down, and forty seconds in, Tony was counting, the entire hall was hushed and staring at him. It was scary, almost. Humbling.
“Right, so. I’d have kept you guys waiting, but a certain spider-themed superhero isn’t feeling very heroic right now – so here I am, delaying impending doom with a toast.” Tony lifted his glass a bit recklessly to a now-still MJ, halted in her warpath about twenty metres away. She was smiling though, so maybe homicide wasn’t on the horizon. “To be honest, I’m getting a Terminator-esqe ‘I’m gonna be slaying twenty minutes in the future anyhow’ vibe from his lovely spouse, so this may all have been in vain.”
“Timing ain’t too bad, the press are outside anyway so you’ve skipped the hassle of calling a conference to break news of the divorce.” Tony acceded, and scattered laughs broke out in a sea of shining, amused faces. God, this felt surreal. “See, no, you’re doing it wrong, that pause was meant for the awkward silence. Maaaybe a scandalised gasp. Instead you’re all just smiling at me like I’m some deranged uncle at a wedding, which fair, I am.”
“But you know me. You know me and you know this toast isn’t getting any better from here on out, yet you’re standing there anyway all happy ears instead of booing me off. And that’s…that’s pretty special.” From the corner of his eye, Tony could see Peter quietly creep up to where MJ stood, cufflinks catching the light again as he scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. Could see MJ’s arched eyebrow, the little quirk to her lips as her fingers slipped into the crook of her husband’s elbow. Tony smiled. “And I guess that’s what we’re all here to celebrate. Something special.”
And then, like it had been perfectly choreographed though Tony couldn’t have dreamt up this kind of symmetry – there was movement by the door. Tony’s eyes flitted over for a single instant, enough to catch the tall figure that had just ducked in; candelabra light gleaming off his favourite blue shirt and grey-blonde hair.
Tony’s free hand reached up to tug at his own lapels, fingers smoothing over the outline of a chain through the silk of his shirt. “Ten years ago, this young little upstart, newest addition to the Avengers, vanishes in the middle of a post-mission clean up. I attempt to track him down, for reasons that have everything to do with a touching, almost parental concern; and not influenced at all by how brain-devouringly boring clean up duty is.”
Chuckles everywhere, though Tony’s gaze went winging back to the rear of the crowd, where a familiar figure had appropriated himself a glass and was leaning against one of the pillars. Prime posing location, right next to one of the biggest candelabras – Tony highly approved. “As expected, I find him hanging out, upside down, from the newly refurbished A on top of Avengers Tower. Goes there every time he has a decision to make, probably thinks all the increased bloodflow to the head is going to make it work better – I don’t have the heart to tell him otherwise, poor lad.”
“It’s there, both of us sitting on the middle bar of the A like a park bench, that he tells me, ‘I think I wanna marry MJ’.” The good-natured laughter so far quietened down; everyone’s gaze redirected to the couple in question – but Peter and MJ were looking at him, soft-eyed and perfect.
“Of course, being the elder, mature adult that I am, my mind immediately flicks to the practicalities.” His tones veered towards something almost serious – for all of three seconds, because he was fooling nobody. “Namely, the location of MJ’s burial place and whether necrophilia is still illegal in the state of New York, though a part of my mind does think that Peter could do better than a moonwalking has-been. I don’t get too far beyond, ‘I didn’t think you even liked Thriller’ before I am summarily reminded of the other MJ, Peter’s cool, alternative-culture girlfriend.” And there she was now, rocking a red jumpsuit and a self-engineered wedding band, with a ‘damn straight’ smirk curling up her lips. Sure, Tony was a spectacular specimen of his time, but hell if this new generation wasn’t something else. “Y’know, in that she doesn’t give a rat’s ass what people think, and believes in a fair, just society and the betterment of human kind.”
“So I’m stuck there asking the obvious, which is, ‘why do you think you should marry her?’” And he’s trying to hold on to the lighthearted tone, he was, but it’s hard to not let sincerity sneak in when you’ve got Peter Parker watching you deliver a toast in his honour, luminescent in his happiness.
The words were coming slowly, shaped by Tony’s inadequate voice with as much significance, as much unadulterated earnestness as they deserved. “He says, ‘We share things in common, but… it’s more that it already feels like we’re a team, me and her. We don’t always get each other, but we listen. We always listen. We have our fights, but we try to communicate through that and we don’t make excuses.” It all sounded so…inexcusably simple, narrated by a man who knew through time-tested experience how much it wasn’t. And there was at least one other person here today who knew it too. Tony cleared his throat, soft and uncharacteristically unobtrusive. “We’ve lived with the best and worst in each other. And I love her.’”
“And that’s when it strikes me, an honest-to-Thor epiphany right in the middle of this twenty-one year old rugrat prattling to me about love.” A wry, amused sound escaped his lips – memory hazy and rose-toned, but still so vivid. “ ‘Cause you see, I’d been expecting a laundry list of perfections – ‘oh MJ so smart’ and ‘oh MJ so pretty’ and ‘she makes me crack up like a loon’. But Peter didn’t say any of that.”
“Peter wasn’t telling me how great MJ was. He was telling me how great they were together.” Tony’s chest was squeezing on itself, the sheer pride that surged within a little difficult to contain. “And that’s a detail that we long-in-the-tooth, stodgy adults – with all of our realism and all of our practicality – forget so easily. To put it in sporting terms: it isn’t about the player of the match.” And it was the most involuntary thing in the world, to raise his eyes again and meet Steve’s steadfast eyes, that littlest curve of his lips from across the hall. “The love of your life, the most incredible person you’ve ever known. It’s about the team.”
“So I turned to him and said, ‘well, I don’t know about love. But all that other stuff you mentioned sounds pretty fantastic’.” Peter was leaning into MJ’s side now, with all the light of the world in his eyes, while she gave his elbow an affectionate squeeze – Tony blinked rapidly, eyes burning with a curiously sweet sting. “And he goggles at me and goes, ‘you’re the only person I’ve asked who thinks I’m not crazy.’ Of course, cut to ten years and now, we’re gathered here commemorating the occasion solid proof was finally obtained that I’m smarter than the rest of you sane, mature, non-epiphanised people.” And glassy-eyed or no, Tony still toasted the air with more than a slight touch of glee, voice hoarse and delighted all at one go. “I told you so.”
“So while we’re all standing around, let’s also raise a glass to Peter and MJ – who somehow, despite belonging to the same species as the rest of us who screw up on a daily basis – have managed to do everything, absolutely right by each other.” His jaw might have cracked a little, from the ache of grinning at the man who was dearer to him than any child he could’ve ever had – all the while the best guy he’d ever known, who loved him, watched on smilingly from the distance. Maybe it was just the Dr Pepper talking, but this felt like one of the moments all those other moments had been leading up to. “I think you might be what marriage is supposed to look like. And here’s to ten more years of schooling us in being awesome.”
