#i want to believe in idol winwin but

i noticed in a previous ask you mentioned theories you had about winwin's absence? can you elaborate? i'm quite curious

absolutely! but chat isn't gonna like this one i'm afraid.

i just want to start off by clarifying that this is all a theory, and no way is it true at all. i'm just speculating, and honestly if you disagree and have points why, please tell me because i really want this to be wrong.

unfortunately, it seems like a likely scenario that i absolutely hate (get me off of this ride pls), especially being a winwin stan.

so let's start at the begining.

we all know the basics, winwin is an extremely talented dancer. (he's also smart as hell) he was admitted to Beijing's dance academy in middle school which is an incredibly difficult school to get into, and he was also admitted to the central academy of drama which is another incredibly difficult school to get into (he ranked 10th overall and they only admitted the top 25)

so winwin is a talented dancer, now what?

most of us probably know that winwin was scouted by sm on the street for his looks, and they chased him for 2 years until he finally decided to join the company.

this is where the lines get blurred and a lot of things happen behind the scenes.

i'm convinced, that if sm kept telling winwin he would be a talented "idol" in korea winwin still would have said no. there is something that sm probably promised winwin if he agreed to join the company. (i'll get into that something later because it's pretty important to his career rn)

winwin trained for 1 year, after joining the company in 2015 and he was even a part of sm rookies. when nct u debuted, it was already confirmed that tae*l, taeyong, mark, jaehyun were going to be part of 127. pretty sure they wanted to debut with 7 members, so they had to pick three more members and they chose yuta, winwin, and haechan. now here's a big bombshell that probably isn't that surprising.

winwin was never supposed to be a permanent member of 127.

i've always seen the argument of "why didn't sm debut johnny or doyoung from the start? maybe instead of winwin?" good question. but the question should be asking instead of 'yuta' or 'haechan' for the matter, not winwin.

winwin was always being pushed in nct content, some even theorize he's like a main character in their lore (idk shit about the lore) which i found honestly odd. because if you're going to completely neglect a member but towards the begining, put so much effort into debuting and pushing him into the spotlight, why would you even do that in the first place?

the reason? sm didn't want winwin to leave the company.

winwin's visuals are an asset, sm doesn't want to lose that. combined with the fact that they spent so much effort trying to get him to join the company, it's no surprise that winwin (who had no interest in becoming an idol) might leave before wayv can debut in 2018.

so they push him to debut early, knowing that he wouldn't be able to back out then. technically rookies/trainees could still leave the company, but once you were locked in as a debuted idol you're locked in for real. so unfortunately, this was what happened to winwin. then the whole wayv, "inactive" in 127 thing happened and here we are. (don't know why he's still labeled as inactive, sm is probably avoiding the wrath of ot9 fans who still believe winwin is a part of 127 - aka me. i'm fans.)

so that happened, alright, what's next, why is sm treating winwin like shit?

they're not.

or at least, they're upholding an end of a deal. (i think, guys this is also speculative pls dont trust my word on this)

remember how i mentioned sm promising something to winwin so he could join the company? that promise was connections. see winwin probably had aspirations to be a dancer, but that doesn't make as much money as an actor does. he has the looks, and dance can sometimes be a form of drama/acting, so it's a decent transition. that's probably what his plans were from out of college. but sm convinced him that if he joined the company, they could use their own connections to get him acting gigs in china once he debuted in a group. this was the deal.

i mean most kpop idols usually segway into either becoming a solo artist or acting.

and mostly, sm seems to be upholding the end of the bargain. it's not sm's fault that he has become actor-winwin but sm isn't innocent either. the switching of recording dates was absolutely shitty on their part and i have no idea why they're doing it.

now if this were all true and all the winwin antis were to come for my head saying "winwin just wants to ruin the group with his acting gigs then" or some bullshit like that, then go voice your complaints to sm entertainment who harassed a fucking minor to join their company. a company that he didn't really want to join.

He does well on variety shows with tidbits and tea on other members which helps with the comedic timing of things. His placements also make sense for his free-spirited nature, how he follows his heart and has so many creative ideas to go with. He goes with how he feels on how to artistically convey the songs, appeal to the audience, and that makes him a great artist in the idol industry. A strong breeze thru kpop industry is wut Ten is.

Winwin: October 28th 1997

Quiet yet hardworking and sharp, Winwin is adored for how hard he works for what he is passionate for (eg. Acting, performing in nct). Also pretty witty and sarcastic with his wayv members and nct. He wants to show his mature and cool sides a lot but also he is seen as endearing and adorable on the way he practices and tries earnestly. Sagittarius venus and mars individuals are naturally athletic and have a knack for dancing and learning the key points of dance moves, it can explain why winwin is rlly good at dancing and grooving, plus predebut he was in a dance school in china I believe. His sag mars makes sense for why he delves into multiple hobbies or interests, this can be expressed thru his career or as a side-skill he would develop. Its probably why hes interested in acting career too. With his scorpio sun and virgo moon perfectionistic yet passionate nature, he’s able to express his artistic and musical expression and perfect it naturally.

All rounder prankster maknae is wut his big 6 screams. Yangyang being a libra sun with water energy of scorpio and a pisces moon makes him very creative and passionate. His pisces moon makes him sensitive to others reactions or aware of it, he’s understanding and receptive of others reactions and dynamics. His scorpio mercury paired with his pisces moon makes him playful and loves to joke with his loved ones, whether thats thru witty lines or roasting them. BREAK! My "Most Memorable Sexual Experiences of NCT" series will now take a break while I write the remaining stories

With Jaehyun's story that I posted yesterday (Feb 12, 2024), it's time for a break in the Most Memorable Sexual Experiences of NCT short story/smut series.

By break, I mean a posting break. I'll be spending this time writing the remaining six stories, meaning that for me it's the opposite of a break: Xiaojun, Taeil, Jeno, Jaemin, Winwin and Lucas are still to come 😊

I have no idea how long this break will last...

...but the last one was for about a month and a half. I already have drafts for the above members, but a lot of work still remains.

WayV September Reading 2023

Kun

Love: Kun i still with his partner but as always he keeps doubting of their sincerity towards him and he rally doesn’t know what to do with them. He does has feelings for his partner but he doesn’t know if that live is worth it

Career: Kun has lost a lot of money because of SM, I feel like he hasn’t been payed correctly and that he also lost a lot of investments and projects because the company would deny anything that came for him. That made him extremely upset and is still debating on what he should do about it 

Self: he has been rather feeling down lately, although whenever he is with someone he likes to show a more optimistic side of himself, I feel like Kun feels alone and not entirely happy with his life. 

Ten

Love:  Ten is equally in a relationship, one he has been working a lot on in order to keep it healthy and stable since he doesn’t want to lose it. His person is probably someone that works with him inside the company. 

Career: He is scared to lose everything and also that is because SM has poor management skills and poor planning as well which makes his anxiety rise. He wants to work but he doesn’t know what to do 

Self: I believe that Ten is going through a very complicated period on his life, he has signs of depressive episodes, loss and emotional wounds because he feels like he is losing everything he has built so far and that whatever he does, isn't worth it. I am just very worried about his mental health that is extremely low

Winwin

Love: Huge chaos happened on Winwin’s love life and this is very recent. His partner probably has broken up with him and he wasn’t expecting it. Winwin doesn’t seem to be hurt by the news he is just chocked and angry that he was dumped 

Career: He wants to do nothing, he wants ro rest and be completely related instead of working. I don’t think Winwin is very enthusiastic to make comebacks or to do anything art is health with being an idol. He wants to do other things that don’t ask for his full time

Self: He has spent a lot of his time on learning new skills (mostly acting) since it’s something that he want to focus on for his future. I feel like Winwin has stuff behind his backs that he doesn’t show SM

Xiaojun

Love: I don’t think he is long time non idol partner, if anything it seems like Xiaojun has spent most of his time lately, going to parties and having fun with his friends. He probably also has been having side relationship that are only physical. 

Career: He doesn’t have much to think about. I believe that Xiaojun is okay with his current situation, because he doesn’t have to work a lot and still be able to have financial abundance. 

Self: He has been having so many conflicts with his group and there’s just so many arguments that aren’t worth it and yet Xiaojun isn’t ready to forgive his teammates nor does he wants to. For him, his teammates are selfish which is a little bit harsh

Hendery

Love: He is in a relationship and completely okay and happy with it. I feel like his partner is someone far richer than he is, since they have been providing him a lot of financial support and abundance. Well Hendery is just happy with hat 

Career: there’s a lot of delays and frustration on Henry career, because like some of his teammates, SM haven’t been giving them the freedom to do what they want and they keep removing and postponing everything they work on 

Self: He feels fine. Henry has been reading a lot and learning a lot about different topics that will help him in his life (probably economy? Or business in a way). He has been able to left the boy he has behind and focus on being a more authoritative person. 

Yangyang

Love: He has definitely broken up with someone, he let them go because the relationship wasn’t serving him well and he wasn’t happy with what his partner was offering him. He has now a new perspective on what he wants in his next relationship. 

Career: Everything seems to be going great for him when it comes to his career. Yangyang is able to be rather diplomatic and his new sponsor has been given him time to decide and choose the projects he wants to work on, without much pressure. 

Self: He spends a lot of his time by himself and alone. He could be surrounded by people but that isn’t on his needs for the moment. I feel like he does a lot of introspection as well, he thinks a lot about his present and future, thus the need to be alone at the moment

As an Dy's solo stan I would say yes some of Dy's solo stan can be super annoying a lot of times (most recent instant is I don't like how they have to compare Dy's archivement to others and claim he's the most successful nct soloist, so unecessary), but I personally dont see them villainify, belittle and attack other members's character like the way other solo stans do to Dy? Their anger (while I wouldn't say rational or justified) mostly direct to the fandom and the company but the things these akgaes said about Dy then and there, a lot of times unprovoked are truly vile. I stop paying attention to those antis long ago but this time the argument last longer than usual and it got even worse when they appeared together which is surprising.

I've seen Do's fans attack other members. Not as a group effort, though. Yes, in general Do's fans are behaving better, and the random Do's fans who get interviewed on streets look genuinely like very nice people. It's because of the type of idol Doyoung is. I talked before how there are Ace and Underdog type of idols who attract more of confrontational and egoistic fans. Tae and Jae are aces, WinWin or Yuta are underdogs. Doyoung is none of them, the majority of his fans are emotionally mature. Alas, it seems to change. Do's i-fans on X actually need to make effort to maintain this "oh, we are the better subfandom" image of themselves. This riding a high horse might not last long if the things continue the way they are developing.

It's a slippery slope, unfortunately. Starts with minor things, then escalates, and a person often doesn't notice how they surround themselves with not the best moots and become toxic themselves. Even if we don't want to acknowledge it, we, humans, are animals first, we need to make a civilised person out of ourselves, actually grow into one, and constantly work on maintaining positive traits and good behaviour.

Idols and artists are supposed to bring joy, art, beauty, emotional support, companionship even. And the best of them do it. And yet people choose petty wars and dick-measuring instead of healing with a song, an idol friendship, or becoming better following a good example of their bias. And yes, antis and toxic-solo stans kind of drag a fan into their squabbles. However, it is the Internet, the said anti can be ignored or silenced by a ban if they personally attack. It is a choice to be involved with them, afterall (with the exeption of some serious cases (and no, the charity is not one of those), I'm talking about day to day commotion on X).

Doyoung is perceived as a threat. Other subfandoms simply acknowledge unconciously his importance in the group, his success and his talent. That is why he is villinified. It is a way to allow oneself to become hostile, become vicious - to turn "the enemy" into a monster, to strip him off the "human" label. Doyoung can't be Taeyong's friend, no, he is a scheming two-faced leech who sleeps and sees how to undermine the leader. Doyoung can't be loved by the industry people because of his character and be offered opportunities, no, SM pushes him as a nepobaby. Doyoung can't donate out of the goodness of his heart, no, it's just a way to fool everyone into believing he is kind and not actually rotten to the core. Doyoung can't be the best vocalist, no, that would mean acknowledging he has a talent and a right to be highlighted.

You see the pattern? Stripping him of the halo and the wings and making him into the devil incarnate. This way it is easy to justify hatred. Turn a human into a nonhuman, a "leech". And the hatred was born because Doyoung is too close in rank to their bias (also wears a shiny crown), or is the bias' dear friend (jealousy of his proximity to the bias), or "steals" all the opportunities (singing lines) and titles (leader).

It's futile to fight with the antis, they won't change their mind. And being aggressive in return is unproductive as well because passerby and new fans silently observe this exchange and may start to dislike or keep away from Doyoung because of the unpleasant association.

You fight shadows with light, and cover a nasty smell with fragrance. If there are more posts praising Doyoung and showing off his good sides instead of active squabbles and subtwits, then the negativity from the antis will simply drown and become hard to find.

It is attention that gives those antis and Do's haters strength. Stop giving it to them. Whether it's interaction or thoughts and emotions.

This is my favorite Taylor Swift song Ever, it is so indescribably special to me, and I think it’s perfect for Kun.

To me, this song is about a resilient relationship of strength and support. No matter what sort of obstacles you face or mistakes you make, at the end of the day, you always come back to each other.

I think he would want a lot of reassurance from his partner, sometimes he finds himself wondering if he’s doing enough. His busy schedule makes it hard for him to spend as much time with you as he wishes he could and sometimes he just needs a verbal confirmation that it’s enough and that you love him no matter what.

This song also reminds me of a more domestic type of love. Like he’ll wash the dishes while you dry them or dancing together in the kitchen at midnight while cooking something for him to eat after coming home from a late practice. 

Just likes a reminder that regardless of the hardships you face, together and individually, you’ll always be together at the end. 

Ten

He’s very passionate about everything, dancing, performing, he gives every ounce of energy he has. But when it comes to love, it’s different.

His love is less of burning fire and more of consistent warmth, light, and comfort. 

He can brighten up any day, no matter how bad it ends up being. One smile and you already feel miles better than before. 

He would sit with you for hours and just talk about anything and everything. It doesn’t matter if it’s a good day or a bad one, he just likes hearing about your life. He’s the kind of person who values a deep connection and he wants to know you as much as he can. 

He’s gentle and caring, but he’ll still tease you sometimes. He never takes it too far though, he can read you well and knows when to stop before crossing a line. Little jabs are a part of his love language, but he balances them out by being attentive and affectionate.

Winwin

Falling asleep on FaceTime together would become a routine whenever you’re apart.

You get used to him calling in the late hours of the night after he’s finished work for the day he just wants to hear your voice. He likes hearing about your day, even the most mundane things (those are actually his favorite details) like the lady with a little dog in her purse on the bus or the woman in a business suit and headphones dancing by herself on the sidewalk. He likes the fact that you’re so open with him, always willing to share yourself.

It makes him want to do the same for you as well. I don’t think it would take long at all for you to really get to know him well, especially once he gets comfortable around you. Your late night talks would become his favorite thing.

Xiaojun

“all that you ever wanted from me was sweet nothing”

This lyric goes both ways in your relationship. He’s always supportive of you and doesn’t expect you to try and “repay” him in any way, he does it because he loves you and wants you to be happy. 

I once heard someone describe this song as “everyone wants something from me, you just want me” and I think that’s exactly the case with Xiaojun. He’s an idol, he is constantly surrounded by people who all want something from him, expect something from him, so he absolutely treasures the fact that you just want him.

He also doesn’t seem like one for grand gestures but instead he’s more subtle about showing his care for you, like holding onto little pieces of information about you like your favorite food so he can cook it for you at some point, or a movie you mentioned so you two can watch it together. 

His love is in the little things but they all add up.

Hendery

He would find so much joy and comfort in the domesticity of your relationship.

Late night runs to the grocery store for ice cream, sitting next to him while he games with your head on his shoulder, cooking together, he loves the moments when it’s just the two of you.

Also, he loves your laugh and he loves it even more when you’re laughing because of him. He tells corny jokes and embarrassing stories all in the hope of making you smile. 

He’s all fond smiles with a tender, loving gaze. He also likes holding your hand and it hurts him that he can’t hold your hand in public so he tries to make up for it when you’re alone.

Yangyang

Even without verbal declarations of love happening very often, he will make sure that you never ever doubt how much he cares about you. 

Likes spending time with you as much as possible, it doesn’t even matter what you’re doing. You could be hanging out in his room and just talking and that’s more than enough for him. He just loves being around you.

Very attentive and a good listener but he also knows how to add to the conversation and give advice or support. He definitely seems like the type to love dates where you just stay in, order some of your favorite food, and talk for hours. 

When you get tired, he’d ask you to stay “just a little longer” and when you lean on him he plays with your hair until you’re about to fall asleep. Even then, he would still ask you to stay, it’s an unspoken ‘I love you.’

If you do decide to go home, he’d drive you himself so he can make sure you get home safely.

WayV the Rolls Royce of NCT like saaaame lmao i love NCT but WayV like wow.

WayV are definitely the exclusive and "high-end" brand of NCT. If you liken NCT Dream to the BTS/Disney demographic, NCT 127 the more experimental and "adult", WayV are certainly in a category of their own.

Should you watch this fancam? Yes, yes you should.

WayV (WēiShén V) are C-pop, Chinese pop. They're on Label V, the Chinese sub-label of SM. I think one could argue they are a C-pop/K-pop fusion, and that's quite interesting in itself. The active members are Ten, Kun, Winwin, Yangyang, Xiaojun, an Hendery.

Essential song: Take Off (2019)

Their music has a sexy sophistication to it, along with their concepts. Ten's auteur-level dancing often sets the tone for their impressive performances. Album designs also reflect this "special" brand image.

There are two things that make WayV life a little difficult imo. 1) The on-going tensions between SK and Mainland China and b) Lucas-gate.

Popular Korean entertainment, including K-pop (the music), was banned from distribution in Mainland China for six years. It was only in November 2022 that K entertainment started to stream on Tencent once again. The ban was believed to have started due to the US missile defense system installed in SK in 2017. WayV is C-pop, so they circumvented this ban, but their Label is still owned by a Korean company.

There is also a culture of conservative backlash against fandom in Mainland China. This came to a head with the Yi/Zhan Ao3 fanfic debacle, but it had real-world consequences.

Fandom is big business in Mainland China. I'm sure this is why SM is interested in working in this market with a C-pop outfit, given that tensions haven't eased quite enough for K-pop groups to re-enter the market with tours, fan meets, brand ambassadorships, etc.

The culture of fandom backlash is against morals and consumerism in general. I'm not an expert, but my understanding is that there are laws now in place to limit fandom activities and that stars are legally responsible for their fandoms' actions through their studios (even idols need to set up studios as business fronts for their work). Anecdotally, I've heard of things like teachers getting fired for mentioning actors or idols or using them as examples in teaching.

One of the rules that came out of new legislation in the past couple of years is the limitation of "feminine" looks for men. Essentially, the flower boy K-pop look was effectively banned. Traditional masculine aesthetics were expected, and for quite a time, many who used to have flower boy looks reverted to the opposite. I think it's cooled a little bit, but it's still not what it was.

So imagine being WayV amid all of this political and cultural tension. You're a C-pop group whose "parents" (NCT) are K-pop. That's... not gonna make anything easy. I've heard that WayV fans are unsatisfied that the group don't get to do enough Korean content during their comebacks. Yet, I think it's a game of chess for SM and Label V. They want to do enough to make a splash but they don't want to make such a big splash that problems are caused.

The second challenge, and probably the more immediate one despite all of the above, is the Lucas situation. WayV should be further along and have more albums/releases under their belts by now, but the indefinite hiatus of Lucas seems to have extended to WayV in some respect. We don't know what goes on behind the scenes. What we do know is that there is enough evidence that Lucas was shady, and that he probably won't return. WayV have now come back as a 6-person group, so I can't see them reverting.

If you're not sure what happened with Lucas, you can read about it here (just use a translator browser add-in). The allegations were gaslighting and financial exploitation, which are quite serious. In cases where the claims are unfounded, SM has stated such and pursued legal action. That's not what has happened here; instead, both Lucas and the company issued apologies for the wrongdoing, which is indeed admitting wrongdoing.

My bottom line on WayV? They've been dealt some difficult cards, but their music and performance are outstanding, so over time, I think they will continue to attract attention and convert fans. They've just announced a global fan meet tour, which will be a huge treat to all those who have waited so long for them to return.

i cannot believe in this day and age after EVERYTHING we’ve been through, there’s any questions as to whether or not this is the move for him. not just for him, for everyone. building a solid solo career to guarantee a successful future regardless of what happens. in a perfect world everyone is treated fairly, whether it be getting enough work or enough rest. i believe we all have our grievances, and they, for the most part, valid.

this applies to everyone in nct, everyone in kpop, everyone who is a celebrity. you could extend this to regular people and say it’s a good idea to have a solid career regardless of what area you’re in. but in kpop specifically, the industry moves so fast. there are groups who are hugely successful that debuted less than 5 years ago being called flops because there’s newer shinier groups that everyone is obsessed with now. the 7 year curse is generous for many groups, since it’s so common for groups to lose members earlier, or the group to disband before then for whatever reason.

especially as a foreign idol. this is so important. i am overjoyed that yuta started doing the same. i think it’s brilliant to ensure individual fame and success while still having the security of a group. i pray nct doesn’t get smaller because they are my favorite group and i want to have them in my life always. i love them all and i want them to be happy and together. but due to circumstances that none of us can really control, there is a chance the group will get smaller. and in the case that certain people leave, i want them to be happy and successful no matter what they choose to do. i’ll be heartbroken and devastated but it’s the reality of loving anything, that you can get hurt. lol that got deep but in all seriousness, having any sort of emotional investment in anything, ESPECIALLY SOMETHING LIKE KPOP 😭 is bound to pose challenges.

i’ve realized that many permanent groups are just like temporary groups. permanent groups have the benefit of time, and more likely contract extensions, but ultimately, it’s all about making a name for yourself and guaranteeing a future career if/when the group is over.

The second the news comes out the boys are all shocked. It's the type of situation where JiHo would be so emotional and scared for the boys reaction that she didn't tell them about it prior to actually leaving and filing the lawsuit.

"From now on, you won't be promoting with JiHo anymore," one of the managers say and for some reason it just doesn't click with the boys yet.

"What do you mean? JiHo's just sick, right? She will join us when she feels better," Yuta explains in a matter-of-fact way.

The boys aren't dumb though. When JiHo told them not to come by her apartment since she was really sick — with the emphasis on being contagious — the boys just agreed. When JiHo stopped replying to the group chat and ignored the boys' calls, they just shrugged it off as JiHo not feeling too well. They were all suspicious of the situation though, but too scared to face the reality and rather stay silent while giving everything the benefit of the doubt. It was all too coincidental though, everything happened while she was renegotiating her contract.

The manager's lack of an response was enough for the boys to realise the truth, but coming to terms with it wasn't in the cards for the moment.

Taeyong has always had the most knowledge about the tension between SM and JiHo — although still limited — so he'd be the most frustrated, believing he could have done something. Maybe talk things through with JiHo before she made any rash decisions, but deep down he knows that this was probably the only thing she had left. Before reaching out to JiHo he'd immediately step to a manager or even someone higher up to ask about the situation.

"I failed as a leader. JiHo was struggling and I couldn't help her—" "Don't blame yourself, it wasn't an easy decision on her part, but I know she thought this through," the manager tried to reassure him. "You're right. I'm sure she did what was best for her. I hope she'll be happier now."

Taeil, Sungchan, Xiaojun and Winwin would be in the "shocked but don't know what to do" phase. JiHo's friends with everyone, but those boys think they didn't have a place to say anything about it. They would try their hardest to go on with their lives without letting the news get to them, but it would still affect them negatively even if it isn't on a level as high as the other boys.

"Hey are you okay?" The boy would ask one of his other member's who was visibly struggling by the events of one of their members leaving. When said member shakes their head and starts crying, they can't help but feel tears well up in their eyes as they awkwardly pat their member on the back to comfort them even just a little.

Johnny, Kun, Ten, Yuta, Jeno, Renjun and Jaehyun would be pissed. Trying to get to the bottom of everything by going to the managers AND reaching out to JiHo. They won't take no as an answer (angry older brother squad) and hang on to the hope that their hard approach could get JiHo back. Out of the boys, Yuta would eventually break under the pressure and get really emotional because he will always see JiHo as his younger sister and feel like he failed to be there for her.

"It wasn't a rash decision—" the staff tries to explain for the nth time. "Then why didn't she tell us about it? It's your fault JiHo left! She wouldn't just leave like that, so explain! I won't leave until I understand why she left!"

Jungwoo and Jisung: emotional wrecks. JiHo is their support system, their rock, their comfort and now she just ups-and-leaves so unexpectedly. It would take the longest for them to get over it. The type of members who would still have a hard time if her name gets mentioned after a year of her leaving (probably longer if the lawsuit is public and takes a long time to get settled). They are the members you can NOT mention JiHo's name to during fansigns or interviews because they WILL choke up.

"Don't leave! Whatever is going on we'll help you through it. We can find another way to settle it so you don't have to leave. I'll even give you my own money if that is what this is about! But whatever you do, please don't leave us," he pleads, sitting on his knees before the girl with his hands clasped in front of his face; tears running down his cheeks and beading up in big drops before they fall down his chin and soak his jeans.

Doyoung is a mixture of team "pissed af" and team "emotional wreck". He just wouldn't understand why this was happening. Why didn't JiHo just talk to him? Didn't she trust him? After all those years together she still couldn't confide in him and probably had to go through everything alone. That though alone was enough to make Doyoung angry at everyone and anything. And at the end of the day he'd be crying against Johnny's shoulder, blaming himself for being a bad friend. + also the person you probably shouldn't bring JiHo up with after the fact for a while, because he'd get emotional over her as well but will also fight anyone if they are being disrespectful about her.

"How the fuck did you mess up so bad that she left?" Doyoung asks, slamming his hand down on the desk in front of the staff. "It was ultimately JiHo's choice to leave. We tried to compromise—" "Maybe if you wouldn't have treated her like shit for all these years it wouldn't have gotten this far!" Even if he tried to stay strong, angry tears filled his reddening eyes as he sends deadly stares to the staff.

Haechan and Jaemin are the boys who would try to reach out to JiHo and coax her into coming back despite that there was no real chance of that happening. They'd be affected for sure and very emotional about the situation but they are also hopeful. If they'd cry — which they would — it would be in the comfort of their own rooms or only when they were with a limited amount of their members or family.

"JiHo isn't there any way you could come back?" he asks. "I've been gone for almost a year now, you're doing fine without me," JiHo's voice sounds tired from the other side of the call. It's the same words she had been telling him for months now. He softly laughs, trying to ease the mood. He knows the answer, but each time he hears it it still hurts. "I would be doing better if you were here though," he tries to sound playful — it works, JiHo smiles at his words. One day, he hopes she'd tell him she could come back.

Mark and Hendery. They are so lost when they hear the news. Their hearts drop and they feel like they're continuously falling and trying to hold on, but there's nothing in reach to grasp onto. They'd be the ones to just ask their members for updates on everything. They would avoid talking about her during interviews and fan meetings and eventually they would lose contact with JiHo altogether. It's not that they've moved on though, there's just this weird empty void they haven't come to terms with and so they just can't push themselves to talk to the girl.

"JiHo got a new dog!" Chenle excitedly tells the boys holding out his phone to show the others who ask to see the new pet. Mark and Hendery sit to the side nodding slowly although not coming closer to check what the fuss is all about. They just try to keep themselves busy and the other boys don't force them to join them, knowing the two always feel their heart clench just by the mention of the ex-member's name.

Chenle, Shotaro and Yangyang would just kind of accept it. Of course when they hear the news it's a little hard to grasp, but sooner rather than later they would accept it. They would support JiHo in her decision and would also stay in regular contact with the girl. Maybe less then some other boys but that's because they don't want her to think they are only calling to push her into coming back.

"Hey, JiHo! Want to play CS:GO with us?" JiHo laughs as she hears the boys ask her to join the game as soon as she enters the discord call. "Sure," she smiles starting up her game. "When are we playing Valorant again though?" "Ugh! You never change do you? We've played Valo last week!" Chenle complains, also telling her and Yangyang to hurry up. "Oh! We've also finished recording our latest album, want to listen to it later?" "Am I the first one to listen to it?" She asks and when Shotaro says yes she agrees to Chenle's request.

The sound of seven men noisily entering the room startled you out of your peaceful cooking, but you weren’t bothered by it. You were more than happy to hear the excited yelling because that meant your fiancé and his members were finally back from practice.

“I smell food! Is that (y/n)?!” Hendery hollered from the front door.

“What?!!” The voice that you longed to hear all day echoed throughout the dorm. Within a few seconds, Kun came bustling forward with six of his members trailing behind him. He immediately frowned when he saw you cooking at the stove. “Honey, what are you doing?!” He plucked the spatula out of your hands.

You rolled your eyes. “Nice to see you, too, babe.”

Kun ignored your greeting and continued fussing over you. “Why are you cooking? You should’ve told me you were going to make dinner. I could have done it. You should sit down and rest.”

You gently pushed Kun away. “Sweetheart, I’m only five months pregnant. She’s not coming out for a while. I’m not useless yet.”

All of a sudden, you heard scamping down the hallway as three little animals eagerly dashed into the room.

Xiaojun picked up Bella as she happily wagged her tail. “Aiya, where have they been all day?”

“They’ve been napping for a while now,” you explained. “Although, this one,” you affectionately scratched Bella behind the ears. “Kept laying on my lap all day.”

Xiaojun smiled. “She knows you’re going to be a mommy soon.”

“How’s the baby, by the way?” Winwin asked.

“Good,” you nodded, placing a hand on your abdomen. “Doctor said there were no problems at the last checkup. She and I have just been chilling all day.”

“I can’t wait to be the favorite uncle,” Yangyang sighed dreamily.

Lucas shot Yangyang a look. “Who said you were going to be the favorite?”

“Why wouldn’t it be me?” Yangyang shot back.

“Ladies, stop fighting,” Ten butted in. “It’s obviously going to be me. We’re gonna wear matching clothes and I’m gonna spoil the shit out of her.”

“Clearly I will be the best!” Hendery declared and just like that all six members started bickering amongst each other.

“They’re all excited to look after our little angel, but it seems like we’ll have seven little kids running around soon,” Kun sighed amidst the ruckus.

You smiled and kissed his cheek. “Hey, remember that you wanted this.”

Kun smiled back at you. “I know. And I’m very happy we’re starting our beautiful little family.” Kun’s brows furrowed as soon as your face dropped into a frown half way through his sentence. “What’s wrong?”

You put your hand over the area of your stomach where you felt a slight tickle. “She’s kicking right now.”

Kun’s eyes widened and soon silence fell in the room. “I wanna feel!” Ten suddenly shouted.

“No, me first!” Xiaojun enthusiastically said.

“And why do you get to go first?” Ten glared.

“Because I’m younger than you!”

“Then by that logic, I should go first!” Yangyang argued.

“Hey,” Kun’s voice cut above the others. “Since I’m the father I think I should feel first.” Truth be told, your baby started kicking almost two weeks ago, but every time she did so Kun was never really around and was really disappointed each time he missed it.

You beckoned Kun over. “Babe, come feel.”

Kun eagerly put the stove on simmer and bent down to your stomach, cautiously putting his hand over your stomach, trying to get a feel of any movement.

You giggled and put your hand over Kun’s and moved it over the right area. You felt another tickle and watched as Kun’s eyes lit up. His eyes practically sparkled when they met yours. “That’s our little girl,” he smiled. You realized now his eyes looked like they were sparkling because he was on the verge of tears.

You smiled back at him and held his face in your hands. “I know.” The reality that you and Kun were finally starting the next chapter of your lives and expanding your family like how you’ve been talking about for years really made you emotional and soon you felt your cheeks get wet.

“Wh- hey! (Y/n), don’t cry!” Winwin panicked.

“I’m sorry,” you sniffed, knowing damn well the only reason why you were crying so hard is because of your hormones. “I just love you guys so much and I- I’m so happy to be starting this family with you all. I know you guys are going to be an amazing father and uncles and I just…” you choked out between sobs. “I just love this family we have. Thank you guys for being apart of this experience with me.”

“Honey…” Kun stood up and wiped your tears away, immediately embracing you in a warm and heartfelt hug.

“That’s so sweet…” Hendery sighed. “I think I’m gonna cry, too!” He threw himself forward and embraced you and Kun.

“Me too!” Lucas surged forward and wrapped his arms around all three of you.

In the next instant you were being suffocated in a hug by seven men, but that was perfectly okay with you. Nothing could ever be more perfect in your life than this moment right now.

"What the hell is going on?!" a very familiar voice tore through your reverie and your eyes shot up to the door where... YangYang stood, towel wrapped around his waist, another drying his hair.

"YangYang?!" you gaped, jumping off the lap you were sitting on. "But who?!" you turned back to the man on the bed and then it dawned on you.

in this big and cold room, you feel lonely. you yearn to be touched. you crave to feel any type of physical touch. we all have bad days but today, feels more shitty. not only did you got scolded at work but you were also soaked when you got home all because you forgot to bring your umbrella. your migraine has kicked in due to how exhausted you were and your mood? you can’t say it’s the best. since you arrived home, you’ve been crying nonstop.

the ringing of your phone stopped your thoughts just as you were about to burst into tears again.

you picked it up but didn’t say anything.

“love?” his voice. thinking about his voice has not only made you feel even lonelier but you want nothing more but to be safe in his arms.

“love? are you there? are you okay?” that’s when you burst into tears. you were softly crying into the phone call. i’m not okay. i need him. i need winwin.

“shhh baby, you can tell me anything okay? take all the time you need to cry. it’s okay to cry. let it all out. i’ll be here for you, always.” so you cried your heart out, sniffling and whimpering. it was so exhausting for you to bottle up everything until you’ve reached in the comfort of your own home. i can be vulnerable here. i can be weak. 

after you couldn’t feel any tears spilling out, you slowly calmed down. as you looked into your cheval glass, your eyes were all puffy and red from all the crying. “winwin, c-can we facetime? please?”

“of course love, hang on.”

you accepted it the moment it popped up on your screen and there he was, ethereal as ever. looking at him made you shy that you had to bury your face into your sheets. you can hear him giggling. you’ve been together for 5 years now yet you still get shy whenever you show him your vulnerable side. he finds it adorable and at the same time, it breaks his heart to see you sad. he wants to protect you all the time. he wants to be there for you. he cares for you a lot.

“y/n bub, it’s okay. don’t be shy. it’s not the first time i’ve seen you cry.” so you showed him your face, all pouty and sad. he looks at you with worry written on his face. 

“was work bad today?” you nodded. 

“my boss was being an asshole today. he scolded me for something that i didn’t do, walked home in the rain because my dumbass forgot my umbrella and now, my migraine is killing me. my mood has instantly dropped to a negative. it sucks.” you huffed as you rolled your eyes. he giggled again because honestly, he can’t stop internally gushing how adorable you are.

“loooove stop giggling!” you whined like a child as you pouted even more.

“i can’t help it! you’re absolutely adorable y/n but it also hurts me to see you like this. i’m really sorry i can’t be physically there for you. i really want to hold you right now and just...comfort you....” you smiled sadly.

you really can’t do anything about it because winwin is an idol and you can’t just stop him from doing what he wants. despite of how hectic his schedules can be, he would always find the time to call you or message you. even if he was in the verge of falling asleep, he never fails to ask about your day. 

thinking about it now, your heart feels warm thinking about how lucky you are. winwin put so much effort and passion into his work yet he never neglected you. you were always his number one priority. he treated you the way you want to be treated. he has so much love for you that every day with him feels like the first time you’ve laid your eyes on him. it was like falling in love all over again.

“love? can i say something?” he hums in reply. 

“thank you. words are not enough to fathom how deeply in love i am with you. i’m always grateful for having you in my life and sometimes, it’s hard for me to believe that you feel the same way when i’m just me. two different worlds yet you make me feel loved, appreciated and secured. i know i don’t always get to express my feelings all the time but i want to remind you how amazing you are. thank you for being there for me regardless of the distance that’s separating us right now. thank you for accepting me even when i’m flawed. thank you for letting me experience what love really is. i miss you so much and i can’t wait for you to come home. i love you with all my heart, winwin..”

Do you know if Chinese K-Pop idols are actually forced to show allegiance to the Chinese government no matter what(to protect themselves, their images/careers, as well as their lives and families)or do they actually believe in/support the CPC? Some people believe/theorize that Chinese celebrities/public figures are often forced and obligated to show loyalty and support to China’s governmental policies as political pawns, regardless of whether they actually agree with it/believe in it or not. Otherwise, they’d go missing to be wiped from the face of the Earth, like they never existed. For example, Jackson Wang used to proudly declare himself from Hong Kong, but started saying he is from China solely after the 2019 Hong Kong protests. Is it to protect himself and his family/image/career/life or is it actually because his views/loyalties changed? Similar with what happened to Tzuyu apologizing for holding a Taiwanese flag(JYP wants that Chinese consumer market, I guess). Winwin and Yiren showing support to the one China policy? Jun, Minghao, and Xiaoting being absent from the Asia Artist Awards due to it taking place in Japan on the anniversary of the Nanjing Massacre? Are there certain conditions Chinese K-Pop idols must follow in order to protect their careers and images in the eyes of China?

Personally I don’t know much about the Chinese politics and how it works but it’s known that of course Chinese idols are very influenced by it and unfortunately they have to pick a side for their own image and safety and even relationship with the country.

However I am not the best person to speak on the matter as I don’t have much intell in it and Chinese politics isn’t something I have much information about. However yes there’s possibilities that some idols do it only for the good image for china whereas other might do it and actually agree with the political view depending on their own value
