Marta: "Tell me that this makes sense"
Fina: "yes, we made the correct decision"
Tumblr media
NO, IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE, F**K THE FU**ING F**K.
I AM NOT ABLE TO SWEAR LIKE I'D DO IN ITALIAN BUT YOU HAVE TO STOP ALL THIS MARRIAGE INSANITY.
Marta doesn't like it, Fina doesn't like it. Go at the end of the world, go far from all of these disgusting people.
Go and be happy the two of you.
Today's episode hurts like..I don't even know, when Jaime came back it was different, he was already there, it wasn't a chisen situation.
This is going voluntarily and directly into the lion's mouth (I don't know if it's something that in english makes sense but with today's frustration a language that's not my own it's not easy to handle!)
Anyway I want to hope that the wedding won't happen. But I am scared about everything and everyone around Marta and Fina right now. Even from Mafin themself, they need to talk sincerly, not thinking about what the others - maybe - want to hear.

The Mafin story is giving us a lot of feelings and a lot of parallels but what about this:
Imagine Marta on her wedding day, that just before the ceremony, telling Pelayo "I'm sorry, I can't". And left.
It would close a full circle, from the first (attempted) kiss between Marta and Fina, into the kitchen, at night, during a storm, to the (attempted) wedding, in front of everyone. From the fear to the pride.

It would be glorious. But obviously I am delirious.

I don't know what will happen in tomorrow's episode and the following ones, I have faith in the screenwriters because they did a job that is beyond words.
But today's scene between Marta and Fina completely break my heart. Like Fina said, I know that it will happen but it doesn't mean that it's hurtless.
The pain. The impotence. The weight of knowing that the love of your life is going to merry someone else because you asked her to.
The grief by face that, even if it's for her safety, even if it's all fake, she will be someone's else for the rest of the world. And that you'll continue to be nothing. When you are everything for each other. When you can't breath without the other, you can't function if you're not together. When you're linked so deeply that it would impossible even to breath alone.
I don't even have the courage to rewatch the scene and get a screenshot. I already wrote that it would be painful but if this is the start, well..we'll deserve a great, amazing, incredible, happy ending.

This could be a good scenario but deep down I'm still hoping that the marriage never happen.
Because I feel a sting in my chest everytime I think about it, about the pain of seeing the love of your life marrying someone else - even if this someone is a gay man that support your relationship like I already said - and the pain of being caged one more time, even if it's for your own safety, for the love of your life's protection, for assure your love story a future.
So I hope that the wedding will never celebrate but I am curious anyway, obviously, to see what they have planned for us!
And above all of this: in the preview MARTA AND FINA SEEM TO TALK ABOUT THEIR IDEAL MARRIAGE. THEIR WEDDING.
I rest my case, I don't want to have too much illusions.

Okay so I鈥檝e been thinking about do帽a Clara seeing Marta and Fina in the advance and watching it back made me reconsider a few things.
The general consensus seems to be that she鈥檚 most likely going to react badly, and she probably will initially, but what if this is the start of her actually warming up properly to Marta? And by proxy Fina too, regardless of her social status.
She鈥檚 most likely never been exposed to a happy and healthy homosexual relationship, and if Pelayo鈥檚 presumably limited and muted experience of relationships and love is all she鈥檚 had as a reference she鈥檚 unlikely to see it as something sustainable, positive, nor necessarily even meaningful. But seeing Marta and Fina together might change that.
Seeing how deeply they really love each other, how considerate and affectionate they are together, how fervently both are willing to fight for each other and their relationship, and hopefully also how much Pelayo is ready to stand up for them too when she learns he was already aware that Marta had a partner going into this may eventually open Clara鈥檚 eyes and soften her heart.
Yes she can still be worried, and even mad that Marta is so indiscreet (and frankly I am too so I get that Mother Olivares!) and ask her to exercise more caution, but I hope she respects her relationship and recognises how profoundly Marta loves Fina to be willing to risk so much to be with her and ultimately that it gives her reassurance that if her son finally finds someone he too could find that kind love and happiness for himself, and surely that鈥檚 all any parent really wants for their child.
