╰ ✩.⭒ʿ˖✧ ˓ with the holidays and the glamour of the new year’s party behind them, the citizens of rome pines began to settle back into their normal routines, oblivious to what was coming... 

the first sign that something was wrong was the nip in the air.  the weather having been unseasonably warm, no one was expecting the chill that blew through the city and what it brought with it.  some citizens claimed it was snow or hail, others said merely pollen, but as more of the unnamed substance stormed through the city, whispers of ash from pastoral city were heard throughout rome pines.

on the eve of january 9th, the fire bird and spring sprite instructed all citizens to stay indoors overnight while they cleared the city of whatever had come over but it was too late and everyone was affected.

WHAT ? fantasiafallshq’s first plot drop ! though the effects are not permanent, everyone has been affected by that magical substance that swept the city.  those with magic, it’s now been altered, weakened, or gone.  those without magic have now found they have some sort of temporary magic.  magical items have been affected as well, malfunctioning just as someone’s magic would.  

WHEN ? the storm came in sunday night, january 10th and the town had an overnight lockdown but the plot drop officially begins monday, january 11th and ends sunday, january 17th ( after which, everyone’s magic will go back to normal ).

DETAILS : everyone, magic and non-magic folk alike have been affected so although this is not an event, make sure you use this plot drop to help inspire your starters and threads !!

I don't so sports, but I do theater, and at my school the seniors unofficially 'adopt' freshmen and act like their big siblings. So I wanna see more of the Gryffindor Quidditch team adopting Harry!

Fred and George messing up Harry's hair.

Katie freaking out when Harry gets a minor bruise after falling during practice.

Alicia getting detention for throwing a book at a first-year who called Harry scrawny.

Angelina giving him random advice.

"When you go on a date with a girl, make sure to offer your coat if it gets cold."

"I'm eleven, but thanks."

Oliver telling his teammates to knock it off when they baby Harry, but not with as much urgency as usual.

The team teaching Harry their traditions.

The group having a small party for Oliver the day before the seventh years graduate. All of them telling Harry it's okay if he wants to cry, even though he's the only one not crying.

Everyone spying on Harry for the weeks up to the Yule Ball to see if he'll ever ask out Cedric.

"Diggory's like 17," Angelina says. "Even if Harry asks him, he'll probably say no."

"He needs to have his first heartbreak young," Alicia explains.

"Isn't he dating Ron?" Katie asks.

"We though that at first too," Fred says.

Harry catching them peaking over the corridor.

"What are you all doing?"

"Nothing," "Hide-and-seek," "Bird-watching," "Big kid stuff," and "Your mum, wait shit sorry—" are all said in unison.

Everyone watching him at the Yule Ball.

"Stop sitting in the corner feeling sorry for yourself and ask him!" Angelina whisper-yells to no one in particular.

Harry overhearing them and confronting them.

"You think I like Cedric?"

"Some of us know what it's like to be in your shoes, Harry," Katie explains, gesturing to herself and Alicia. "It's accepted in the wizarding world, except for the Purebloods."

"And we know your family sucks," Fred says.

"We just thought you ought to know that we don't suck," George adds.

Harry suddenly realizing why Oliver came out to him. Awkwardly thanking them, feeling something he's only ever felt around the Weasleys.

Harry realizing that if the Weasleys are his family, then so are his teammates.

The Gryffindor Quidditch team taking care of their little brother.
