It'll Never Sound Real Again -A fun duet between David and Sam! Sounds nice. David keeps giggling during his part, but he still sounds great

Sing -Had to give it a second but it sounds really nice! David says the f-word

I Am Not Alone - David version! Sounds nice. Surprisingly similar to the final version

Photographic Memories -Sound quality is better because it came later. Instrumental is probably the most noticeable difference. It was written as an SPG song though David didn't want it to be in their discography originally.

Overdrive -It threw me so off guard when I first heard it. Lots of funky filters as per usual with David's older recordings. Not too bad. Some different lyrics here! David does an impression of the other band members.

I Am in a Cube -It's a little odd sounding, but I do kinda like it. The neat part of this song is the fact that it's the song that plays in the 2009 version of On Top of the Universe! When Upgrade hits The Spine with a mallet.

Erin's Song -Aged poorly. 8 minutes long. The lyrics are oof. But at least it sounds kinda nice. It was a sweet gesture.

SPG Kazooland Master Post

Kazooland is the alternate dimension in the Steam Powered Giraffe Universe.  This post contains various facts and tidbits mentioned by David and Bunny Bennett about it on tumblr and the official SPG websites over the years.  Please feel free to share more information in the reblogs!

Kazooland was named for the mentor of David Bennett, Bunny Bennett, Jon Sprague, Erin Burke, and Bryan Barbarin, Mr.Jerry Hager's mime persona: Kazoo the Mime

By 1897, Peter Walter had unlocked the power of Blue Matter and   subsequently, created an alternate reality he dubbed   Kazooland.

Excerpt from The Story of the Cavalcadium

The Cavalcadium tried to  make a permanent portal to Kazooland in their building, based on Peter Walter I’s studies.

The  Cavalcadium was wiped from existence in an instant, and it took Peter  a few months to realize it had simply vanished. Time and space itself  left a void to forget it ever was.     

The  Cavalcadium building now exists in the seams of Kazooland, and acts  as a hub to many other parts of the dimension. A few doorways even exist on Earth.

  Asininia*             The dark kingdom of Ignatius Becile. Long having taken refuge from Earth, the   black-handed Becile has built a giant city which is depleting Asininia of its   natural resources and precious rock candy veins. His aim is creating an   unstoppable army of candy-powered automatons to consume the universe.

*name is derived from “asinine”

The 8th Dimension of Absolute and Infinite Terror           The only persistent door to the  terrible 8th dimension. Its history is unclear but it is indeed locked and guarded by Jumbo, The Pink Whale With A Top  Hat.* The 8th dimension is notorious for being the place of fermenting  nightmares and evil Lovecraftian Beasts.

*Jumbo can be found in the album The Vice Quadrant, guarding Commander Cosmo and The Necrostar

Horroria

A jagged mountain range of ash and  death, which is primarily a refuge for monsters. A couple of human  settlements exist, but the majority of inhabitants of the continent  are Vampires, Werewolves, Demons, Zombies, Witches, Cultists,  Poltergeists, Man-Eating Hamburgers, and Hamburger-Eating Men.

Hypexion V     

A presumed alien homeworld of the  Hypexions; thin bipedal humanoids with a sweet tooth.

Ironically Foreboding Shaped Islands     

The Chaos Sea marks these bodies of  land as a legend, but time travelers and fortunate explorers speak of  adventurous sailors, pirates, and buried treasure. It is  believed the famous Captain Albert Alexander was the first to have  sailed the Chaos Sea, yet only stories remain.

Lola     

The Hypexion Moon infested with the  diabolical Moon Worms. The Moon Worm Queen is held responsible for  eating a chunk of Hypexion V before she was destroyed, but a newly  born Moon Worm Queen is the talk among the stars. The   talking stars of course.

Lotsasand     

An ancient dust land belonging to the  ancestors of the Kingdom of Set. Though primarily a land for the  outsourcing of dust and camels, the age old tales of Jackal Men,  Living Mummies, and Scarab People still invoke questions of mysticism  in even the most skeptical of skeptics.

Meh     

An icy northern land of Snow Queens and  Mystical Creatures. Many a wise pipe smoking old bearded man tell  stories about this enchanted place, but few are listened to.

Merveille

Merveille is the remains of the once  great Circus Empire, which exploded eons ago and left a watercolored  land of saturated imagination. The inhabitants are mostly the  Speechless Ones, also known as Mimes. It is often described as a  tangible dream, and artists from all over the multiverse have tapped  into its presence for inspiration and escape.

Cities:                    Bip

The capital of  Merveille was named after its founder, and is a favorite spot for  vacation for Peter Walter VI. It was also in Bip that the Great War of 1823 was ended by a mysterious mime with a magical  kazoo.

New Pieland    

Once a paradise of wilderness, pilgrims  from Old Pieland settled here declaring it New Pieland after their  former continent was completely devoured since it actually lived  up to its namesake. It was quite literally a giant land mass of flaky  crust with a warm gooey appley interior.

New Pieland is home to many American immigrants and many other multiverse settlers.  Humans, Robots, Clowns, Cat People, and Vleeds are just a few of the races you'll find in the melting pot which is New Pieland.

Cities:                    Biscuit Town

Biscuit Town is a famous small  mining town in the eastern part of New Pieland. It is home   primarily to clowns, wizards, and talking animals. Biscuit Town has   been run by Walter Robot The Jon until recently, and was the first  town in New Pieland to elect a robot for Mayor. Currently, in  the Jon's absence the Mayor's Assistant Boft is  struggling with the encroaching rogue nation of Asininia, a  resource-hungry super kingdom of mad scientists and candy-powered  androids.    Preferbia   This large sprawling landscape   of suburbia is a metropolis of 1950's ideals, where the  beautiful residents are protected from the ravages of time by a blue  matter rich force field over the city. Created by a visionary man  from Earth after slipping through an interdimensional rift, Howard  Lloyd saw the potential of the unstable rift and created what some  have called the 1950s utopia of mankind. Those who enter  the city rarely decide to leave the prospect of eternal youth, but  some do choose to escape Preferbia's roving gangs of fish mutants and  frequent attacks by the Hypexion Moon Worms.

Snornia

Snornia is the last remaining haven for  mystical beings. It is cut off from the rest of the world by a  vengeful Dragon God, but those who have seen it speak of a fantastical world of magic and danger, with princesses in towers,   dexterous elves making shoes, and six winged warlocks. Humans  who find ways to enter usually do so to train to become wizards or  dragons, but many are eaten by the Dragon God, and even more give up  and sail to Party Island.

South Adventurica

A largely unexplored tangle of   constantly transforming jungles, swamps, and plains unbound by  any mappable record of time. Adventurers have sought to unlock the   continent's mysteries for years, and its surprises still continue to   surprise avid surprise seekers. Dinosaurs, giant insects, carnivorous   plants, elementals, Forgotten Gods, Bobby Darin, and Santa Claus are   all said to live here, but the only proof of their existence are the   ravaged journals from explorers of the past...

And that captured dinosaur amusement  park off the coast.

Verk     

A rainy settlement of time travelers  from the 1890s. It is separated from the world by an ethereal mist of  aether called "Henry's Breath," long believed to be   generated by the fat ghost of England's Henry the 8th.  Most settlers began traversing the aether via multidimensional  travel from when Colonel P. A. Walter I discovered Blue Matter in  1896, but all matter of being from the multiverse seems to have  leaked through to embrace knowledge, Victorian style, and to tinker with steampunk abominations.

Cities:                    Dandyton

The Capital of Verk is a bustling city  of inventors, scientists, airship pilots, alchemists, airship pilots,  ghosts, and airship pilots. It is home to the Verk Dandy Candy  Factory, many airships, and the Verkian Rift, a dimensional  hub to countless other realities.

The Temecula Rift

Prior to the 2013 Walter Robotics Expo, an accident occurred while 26 y/o Peter Walter VI accidentally sealed a Blue Matter Rift that he was trying to open for high speed inter-dimensional travel between Earth and Kazooland.  The result was an explosion that singularly hit Peter Walter VI in his face.  He now wears an iconic keyhole mask to hide whatever the results of the explosion may have been.

Hello.

Since MR and SN are no longer with SPG since their shitty behavior has come to light- I want to share my story since I’m seeing a lot of people saying “it was just them being friendly, who cares?”

I was a fan of SPG back from like 2012(?)-2015(?) maybe 2016. I remember that SPG was coming to my town in 2013 for a holiday special and I was SO excited to have a chance to possibly meet the band.

I was friends with the host of the event and asked if I could help out which was granted. During the setup for the meet and greet the band had come in to sit down. I was busy walking by to get everything set up but apparently SN and MR had asked me to come over. I just assumed they needed some of the waters I hadn’t put out yet, so I obliged.

The conversation started out casual: just the simple “how are you? What’s your name? Do you live around here? What’s your favorite song? Etc” before the guys eventually asked “how old are you?” Now, I have a baby face. At the age of 17 I probably looked about 13-14 with makeup on. Cheekily, I asked “how old do I look?” Since people usually guessed wrong. I was told that I had to tell them so I did. 17. 5 months away from 18. I was met with a laugh and a “too bad.” Before being shoo’d away to work. I didn’t think much of it because I was a DUMB TEENAGER. Later, I was asked by SN if I would be attending Y*umacon, the local convention. I said yes and he said he would “make sure to visit me there.”

Finally it’s October and Y*umacon has come. I’m 18 now. SN had kept his word and immediately recognized me working. He called me over to their booth where I greeted everyone before starting a conversation with him. I don’t remember much as this was 6 years ago and it was a loud convention dealers room. But I do know this ended with him giving me his phone number and asking to hang out after the show. I agreed.

I attended the show that Friday night and we talked until nearly 5am as I was on patrol duty. He walked with me. At around 4:45am he asked if I wanted to come back to his hotel room, which at the time i said no. He insisted and said “it’s only me staying there. I always get my own room.” I reminded him that I was working until 8am. He tried convincing me to skip out on part of my shift which again, I declined. Before he left, he kissed me and told me not to tell anyone. I, of course, texted all of my friends who were fans. They were supportive- except one who thought it was weird that a grown man would go after such a young girl. But I didn’t want to listen.

The night that followed was the same, but instead my shift ended early. The difference was: had sex that night. This would become a regular occourance at that covention each year until they got banned from the convention for hooking up with convention staff. At least that’s what the rumor was.

In between conventions we would text regularly. Talked about me going out to Cali to stay with him for a week or two. I said I wouldn’t unless I was his official girlfriend or he paid for me to fly out. He chose the latter. But I was in college so it never happened.

Eventually I got a boyfriend and SN and I stopped talking. As an adult in her mid-20s I now know how disgusting this was. How I was not the only person. I’m glad (ugh) that at least they waited until I was of legal age, but was there anyone they didn’t wait for? I can strongly and safely say that as an ADULT at the age of 24 I view anyone under the age of 20 as a child still and I would NEVER look at them in a sexual manner. That’s gross. Because the emotional maturity isn’t there. It isn’t. And it isn’t right what happened to me. I didn’t understand I was being taken advantage of. That’s disgusting.

And I know I’m going to be met with backlash for telling my story. I know some people are going to call me a liar because they don’t want to see their “faves” in a negative light, even if it’s their true colors and not the ones you’re seeing in rose-tinted glasses. I know some people are going to say “why would you come forward now?” Because I was scared and it took me years to process that I was taken advantage of.

I’m sorry to anyone else that this has happened to. And I’m sorry to anyone that really enjoyed the character those two people portrayed to the public and are now finding out who they really are.

I literally came back on this app to post this. That’s how strong I feel about this subject and my story.

I think the band has done a phenomenal job addressing this and moving on without those members. I do sincerely want to thank them and apologize for any trouble.

30 days of Autism Acceptance: Day 3!

April 3: Talk about special interests. Do you have any? What are they? How long have you had them? What does it feel like to have special interests? What does having special interests mean to you? Talk about your past special interests

HOO BOY! Ok, I’ll try not to go on too long about my special interests, but I have a lot to say about them! Also, some of my special interests are in this weird grey area of “are they a SpIn or a hyperfixation?”, so I’ll cover those as well, and make it noted when that’s the case for one. Also, this will be VERY LONG, so I’ll put it under a cut.

SpIn #1 - Pokemon

Pokemon has been my main special interest since I was 9, I believe! Black was my first game that I got for my birthday, and I was super happy to get it since all of my friends at the time would talk about it! I’ve gotten (almost?) every major release since then, thought I usually only get one out of the two versions. 

The Pokemon games that I have are *inhales*: Black, Black 2, HeartGold (got a few years after it came out), X (I have the limited edition 3DS), Alpha Sapphire, Moon (first completed Pokedex!), Ultra Moon (haven’t beat and probably never will), Let’s Go, Eevee!, Sword (still trying to beat), Conquest, Art Academy, PMD: Gates to Infinity, Picross, Rumble World, Battle Trozei, Pokemon Quest, Pokemon Playhouse (for when I’m regressed), Poke Park 1 & 2,  My Pokemon Ranch, and Battle Revolution!

I also used to play the TCG competitively, and in my first competition, I placed 9th in my division! I stopped playing about a year after that though because the cards I used in my strategy when I would practice with my Dad were too old to be viable.

I have a growing stuffie and merch collection as well! I have a lot of Unova stuffies, and a print of the Unova map that I got at a ren faire when I was younger (it currently hangs above my dresser)! My two favorite stuffies at this time are Baby my Eevee Build-A-Bear (named after my Eevee in Let’s Go, Eevee!), and Lily my Wooloo! I have a couple of Pokemon sketch cards that friends of my Dad’s drew, and some prints and figure-y things I’ve gotten in Artist Alleys over the years!

I also own a couple of different Pokemon books (not the manga, though), and 2 of the movies, along with the OSTs for B/W, X/Y, and ORAS! I don’t have much as far as clothing goes though, except for my “Gotta Catch ‘Em All” scarf and a Pikachu hat I got at an old anime store at the mall that has since closed. That’s probably all I can remember right now!

SpIn #2 - Steam Powered Giraffe

SPG has been a special interest for about 4 years now? Anyway, they’re my #1 favorite band and have literally saved my life. Watching Bunny Bennett’s (who plays Rabbit) vlogs about her transition, along with listening to the song Transform that she wrote (waaay before they just made it a single) really helped me accept myself and come out. 

They also came at a time where I was struggling emotionally a lot, and I remember being stuck in the ER hooked up to an IV, and my mom played some of their albums for me to keep me calm and grounded. More recently, I saw them perform at Anime Midwest last year, and when they performed Transform (which neither me or my friends expected), we were all hugging each other and crying tears of joy (my friends are trans as well, and have also been touched by Bunny’s vlogs).

Their songs (not including the sad ones) make me really happy as well, and Make Believe makes me stim a lot in particular! I also got to sing Honeybee as part of a voice coaching summer camp I took last year, and it felt really good to do it! I really recommend listening to them, especially if you like steampunk and/or you’re looking for trans artists to support!

SpIn #3 - Little Shop of Horrors

So this is more of a fairly recent one, compared to the first two. This special interest mostly applies to the 1986 movie, but I’ve seen the stage musical as well! The music, the cast, the plot, it’s all *chef’s kiss*. But for real though, my two favorite things about the movie are the practical effects and the endings.

With the CGI fresh hell we got with CATS, you may thing, “wow, special effects were so much better back then”. Except here’s the thing, they were practical effects. Audrey II is (I believe) entirely puppetry, not CGI. The same applies for the musical as well! It really culminated at the end of the film during “Mean Green Mother from Outer Space”, when Audrey II is at it’s biggest and most elaborate. Speaking of that scene, I much prefer the director’s cut over the theatrical cut. I know that the happy ending is much better for Audrey and Seymour, but “Don’t Feed The Plants” is an absolute banger, and I get a good cry out of it too.

I heard they might be making a remake of the movie, which I’m hesitant about, again, seeing how CATS turned out. We can only hope that they listen to the fans, and make the right decisions when it comes to making it.

SpIn #4 - Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure

Ok, so this is one of those aformentioned “is it a SpIn or a hyperfixation” moments. I’ve been hyperfixated on JJBA for the past 6 months and I’m physically unable to shut up about it XD

I’m about to start watching part 4 of the anime, I just need to set aside time to do it. I watched it a tad out of order, my ex told me to skip part 1 and watch a synopsis of it, so I started with part 2 (I’m a huge part 2 stan btw), got to part 3, was confused by everything going on with DIO, so I went back, watched part 1, and then resumed part 3.

As I mentioned, I’m a huge part 2 stan, so I currently have several part 2 character cosplays in the works. This includes (but isn’t limited to) Caesar, Suzi Q, Playboy Bunny Caesar (inspired by a piece of art that @tinypalettes drew), Tequila Joseph (but like,, actually decent drag), and Cleric Suzi Q from the JJBA D&D session me and my friends are having. I also want to do a drag/latex DIO look, along with maid DIO inspired by an old JUMP cover and a fanfic I read the other day.

I get a little nervous about doing/going to JJBA events at conventions because I’m worried about running into my ex, but knowing that I have supportive people with me helps a lot.

SpIn #5 - Homestuck/Hiveswap

So this is another one of those “SpIn or hyperfixation” moments as well. I’ve been into Homestuck since late 2016, but I’ve never been super involved in the fandom. Like, yes, I have a moirail and I’ve been in and hosted panels at conventions, but I’ve encountered some toxic people in it, so I try to distance myself.

I will say, however, that Homestucks are loyal to their fandom, and will buy merch if they like it. When I say that, yes, I mean myself, but it’s mostly about my Etsy customers. If you look at my sales history, the majority of it is quadrant necklaces, almost always the moirail ones. I get some orders for horns and pillows too, but not as often as the necklaces. When it comes to exhibiting at conventions, it depends. I normally don’t put Homestuck stuff out on the table because it’s such a niche, but when I do, people will usually buy a lot at once. For example, at Wizard World Madison in 2018, one guy bought $50-60 worth of Homestuck sprites from me. That weekend was the best I’ve ever done, and I haven’t come close since. My Etsy store started out as just me making Homestuck sprites for me and my friends too, so I’m glad that I was able to expand and give others what I like as well.

I’m also involved in a Hiveswap YouTube musical, and I’ve made a lot of good friends through it! We’re on hiatus right now, but we should be starting up again soon! I also have a lot of Homestuck cosplays! I’ve done Karkat, John, Jade, Nepeta, Trickster Nepeta, Karkat Peixes (a bloodswap), and I have a lot more that I want to do!

SpIn #6 - Danganronpa

So Danganronpa is (probably) one of those last “SpIn or hyperfixation” things. I’ve been into Danganronpa since 2018 (I think?), and DR:AE is my favorite (mostly because I’m a Kotoko and Toko kinnie oof-)!

Right now, my only Danganronpa cosplay is Toko/Syo, but I’m working on a couple of j-fashion (particularly menhera and fairy kei) inspired looks to do with my moirail (who was the one who got me into j-fashion), and just some Amazon/eBay cosplays as well! I’m also working on a Future Foundation Toko cosplay to do with my moirail so we can do Tokomaru together (though most of it is thrifting and clothes I already have)!

I own DR1, SDR2, and DR:AE on my computer, but I don’t play them much. The second trial in DR1 gives me panic attacks because of the whole breaking of trust thing (I’ve heard the audios and I just,,, break down), I haven’t touched SDR2 yet, and I’m sucky at the controls for DR:AE. However, I’ve watched the anime and I’ve seen let’s plays, so I have a feel for what’s going on, though I may not remember it all correctly since I haven’t watched them in a while.

Turtle’s Marvelous Birthday Count up! (4 out of 25)

Today we have two songs, just because one calls back to the other. The actual song that I’ve been listening to a lot is Oh No, and the other one that I usually go back to repair my broken heart is Soliton. Oh No calls back to Soliton. Both songs are by Steam Powered Giraffe (who’d’a thunk it?). 

Soliton. A pretty song. A lovely song. I think The Daughter of Space’s effect could have been done a bit better, but I can’t even edit videos, so I’m not judging. They did the best they could, and it looks alright after you get used to it. At least, it did for me. But that might just be because I’ve watched the video a lot. EDIT: Okay, listening to this again and realized I didn’t talk much about the music. And it is very good. Very pretty. I like the “la la la” bit a lot. The echo effect they use works really well here. This song makes me feel a sense of yearning and nostalgia. Honestly, it might be a bit of pining too. Which works out fantastically, because the emotions this pulls from me makes me all the more grateful for my fiance. 

Oh No came into my house, slapped me across the face, and ripped my heart out. Okay? When you know the lore, it is SAD. And BEAUTIFUL. And my boy fell from grace and is suffering for it. It’s beautiful in a tragic way and aaaaa

Also, this was the first time I realized that the western accent has not died. SPG is from California. When David talks in podcasts and stuff, he doesn’t have an accent. But when Peter Walter IV (who’s played(voiced?) by David) says, “Cosmica, help me” that Western Accent comes in strong. I guess it’s like how I get more noticeably southern when I’m experiencing intense emotions. 

Or, y’know, it’s just the way it came out in that take. Idk, I wasn’t there. 

Anyway, I’m going to listen to these back to back again and cry.

Monster Verse AU: Part four

SPG Monster Verse AU: Part 4

Notes: Notes: Don’t own SPG… all of those lovelies belong to the bennetts and co. I just do strange things in stories with the characters for fun.

Pearl is my own character and is used in this and several other stories. Time period note : this is set in about 2009, I have here in.. used some of the old  mythology about kitsune being shapeshifters to help move the story along. Rabbit HAS transitioned in this one. No it does not match up with the actual time after all this is an au, so i changed that a wee bit.  Now Enjoy the show..

It was the time of night when they should be getting ready to go to sleep. Sunrise only an hour or so away. 

Before they left on this insane trip they had made sure that all of the kids were in bed and soundly sleeping in case anything did happen and wanted no panic when they returned.

Upgrade and Jon were watching them tonight as usual. Rabbit  had offered to stay, the kitsune having just recently gotten her ninth tail and transitioned to a new form.  She was  still slightly unsure of her new powers. So she had informed them that she would help watch after the kids and remained with the two usual caretakers Until she was more sure of herself. 

So that left Spine, Hatch worth, and Zero, heading out into the predawn hours to investigate what might have been a garbled call for help from human friends of the family. 

The message on the phone was garbled, and hard to understand. One thing that came through very clearly were screams for help of some kind. It was his city and these were the friends of his family. So Spine was determined to find out what was going on and if in any way possible help these people or put a stop to it. The only problem was he feared it was too late.

They had acted as quickly as possible, organizing into the two parties. 

But it had still been a good half an hour since the call and in that time many terrible things could have happened. 

by the time they appeared at the cold silent house, it was clear that indeed terrible things had happened. 

The front door to the house had been kicked in or knocked in by some kind of force. it hung from its hinges like some dead thing, reminding the world of the life that had fled this house.

The living room was a stark mess, upon investigation. It had been ransacked and ripped to shreds. Furniture upturned, pillows gutted, papers flung to the far corners of the place in a futile search for something. 

The rest of the house was in the same kind of shape. Whom ever had done this had been seeking something but due to the seeming chaos and destruction had not found what they sought. 

Further into the house the mess continued. More rooms ransacked. More destruction. Even the bathroom had not been spared. 

The worst was the master bedroom, where the most horrifying of sights waited for them. The mangled bodies of their friends, spilled onto the floor and left to rot. The message on the wall scrawled in the blood of the innocents that lay before them. 

"This is what your fate will be if you hide the monsters..." 

Spine stood there gritting his fangs trying to NOT punch a hole straight through the wall at this. That made it clear what the murders had been looking for. 

Information him, Information on his family, his baby girls.  Information that they could use to come to his house and do this very thing to everyone he had ever loved.  To this day he never understood why. 

He had been trying to make peace. The love his life had been a former monster "slayer." He had the most precious lil proof in the universe that humans and "monsters" did not have to be enemies. Living breathing proof that all of this hatred was  utter nonsense. Yet still it persisted. Still these people hated Him and those like him, simply for not being human. 

Spine was so angry that he missed the sound that Hatchworth heard instantly. 

"SHHH..." The drider told them, "Did either of you hear that?"

The Silver Lord and Giant Zero stopped, held perfectly still and listened again. This time they heard it. A small soft sound of discomfort, coming from one of the other rooms in the house. 

"someone's still alive," zero said. 

Moments later all of them were heading in the direction of the sounds. It was even further into the back of the house and had been spared some of the destruction of the rest of it.  Indeed the people that committed this crime must have believed there was nothing to see here.  in what must have been, from the size of the tiny bed in the corner, a child's room or nursery. 

All of them were looking around when they heard it. The soft sad sound from the corner of the room. All of them  headed cautiously over and found something. 

Bunched into the corner of the room was a large silk shawl. Spine remembered it. It had been a gift to this family from Hatchworth himself, made of his own refined silk. ( there are people that make things from refined spider silk.. hatchworths is a beautiful golden color) A wedding present when the couple married years ago. Now it concealed something precious. 

Hatchworth pulled the shawl away and saw the blue eyes and golden curls, the same color as the silk, of a beautiful baby boy.  The child couldn't have been more than a year old and sniffed softly, so scared, and so alone. Looked up and held out his arms to Hatchworth. 

"oh my god," Hatchworth curled his legs under him and pulled the lil boy into his arms, "The baby. He's ok!"

Spine's mouth dropped open, the parents had given their lives and used their last phone call to get a message to him and his family. So they could come and save this little boy. 

Spine's face fell, "Hatchworth we can't...."

That earned him a glare from his younger brother, "I'm sorry which one of us married a vampire slayer?"

Spine looked away for a second and swallowed, "That's not what i mean Hatchworth.  If you take him to the manor with us it might frighten him. I have no compunctions  about you helping or keeping him. I just don't want the lil guy harmed. "

Hatchworth looked embarrassed, "Sorry Bro. That was mean. I do follow tho.  But he has no one else Spine, We'll have to just teach him that there isn't anything to be afraid of. Maybe his parents have already been trying. They were family friends."

Spine nodded, "That's all we can do." 

He stopped and looked out the door, "Let's get back, It's going to be light soon and we have a lot of things to do."

Zero nodded, "Do you think the girls and Dex will be ok with this?"

Hatchworth shook his head, "I don't know. "

Spine sighed, "we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. But we have to get this lil specter home before we know anything."

Hatchworth blinked, "Specter?"

Spine smiled, "He was so good at staying hidden... it reminded me of one."

Hatchworth finally smiled back, "I think that will work Spine. I think that will work just fine. "

Spine had Hatchworth get into the car with the child to keep him as safe as possible. Between him and zero they dumped gas onto the house and watched, saying a prayer for the family, as the house was consumed by flames. All of the brutality wiped clean by fire. 

In the car the sleeping lil boy opened his eyes and looked up into hatchworths face. 

"pappa?" He said softly.

As spine and zero got into the car to head back to the manor, The drider hugged his new lil son close.

"Now and forever  lil one."

Grill vs BBQ

go to smoke me and planet brisket    got the barbecue shoes on gonna smoke me    a bad brisket got my barbecue shoes on    got my natural case and got the hog    welcome to barbecue pit boys calm today   we're cooking up some pork belly on the    grill and it's real easy to do all right    if you haven't seen this before this is    what they call pork belly and it's    exactly what it is it's so it's the    belly of the pig right and this one here    contains the skin of course and for this    recipe we're gonna need some veggies put    a smile on those veg-o-matic faces all    right all right now what we've done is     we've chopped up the Trinity and that's    course carrots onions    it's got celery in there chop it up    course because these veggies are going    to keep the pork belly off the bottom of    the pain right simple enough    chop up a bunch of veggies    now let me show you how to prepare this  traeger renegade elite   pork belly for the grill now we're not    making bacon we're making pork belly    it's different    we're not brining and that's a whole    different process here so this is what    we're going to do first here I've got    some SPG we're going to rub it on the     bottom of this pork belly this here is    going to add some good flavor to this    pork belly so we got it underneath and 

  we're going to do the same to the skin    layer on the top but what you got to do    is you're going to take your old Hickory    or a good sharp knife and you cut a slit    right through the skin layer this is    going to help us produce some crackling    all right nice crunchy part of this    recipe you're going to like it man so    you want to slice the skin layer about    quarter inch intervals just like that    simple enough just like that    now we're going to take that rub put it    on the top looks good enough to eat    already if you know what I mean    now we're going to take that olive oil    rub it in good get it down there into    the slits this is going to help flavor    this pork belly now if you've never had    pork belly your pit you're definitely    going to check this out oh goody all    right this pork belly a slab is done now     I've got some brown sugar I'll put it in    the bottom of this pan     take this pork belly place it on the    veggies now this here keeps the pork    belly again off the bottom of this pan    and the veggies add additional flavor to    this pork belly    one more thing we're going to add some    apple cider I'm gonna just cover the    bottom of the pen and add a little bit    more moisture as long cooking to do this    may take four hours give you a little    bit more maybe a little bit less depends    our hot new grills    all right that one's ready now since we    got the time we're going to show you how    to do another one but we're going to    switch up the flavors here I've got some    Chipotle rub now like I said use your    favorite rub flavorings for you pork     bellies this here is a nice Chipotle rub    it's off the shelf and - not a nice    flavor and I'll rub the meat side to it    first and flip it over I'm gonna do like    we did the last one    slice through the skin just like that    all right we hit the fast-forward button    slices been done I'm going to take this    Chipotle rub put it on the top and again    work it in to the slice slits this pork    belly    throw on symmetrical virgin olive oil    rub it in good    oh yeah rub it in good just the way she    likes    and grab this other bacon pan full of     veggies will that pork belly on top    we're gonna add some beer this time    again just to cover the bottom the pan    of course usually flavored beer    holy    good enough    oh yeah these pork bellies are ready for    the grills all right these grills are    ready and uh we're going to start out    with a high temperature at first this is    going to help the skin layer it's going    to help reduce crackling right so we're  traeger renegade elite grill  up about 475 500 degrees we've got it    cranked we've got two zones in this    weather right now charcoal on the both    sides 20 minutes or so we're going to    run this high heat for reducing it to   about 325 degrees Fahrenheit    now the ceramic grill is ready we've got    that temperature pretty high probably    over 500 degrees wasted in there and    again for the first 20 25 minutes we're    going to run high heat and we're going    to crank it down about 300 325 degrees     Fahrenheit    now a couple hours have gone by and    we're going to check these out    we're losing the temperature in miss    Weber here so we're going to add more    charcoal again we've got two zones going     so a half a chimney each side will help    us keep those temperatures at about 300    325 degrees Fahrenheit do you know how    about this right    we'll just pork-belly back on the grill    oh yeah    you can see how it's coming along    are you getting hungry or what got it     probably another couple hours ago    let's check the pork belly on this   ceramic grill baby    now we're about three hours into this    cook maybe a little bit more you can see    now the skin is starting to crisp up a    bit you want to pull it off and get the    skin just right     all right through the miracle of time    this pork belly is done just take a look    at that nice and crispy on the top moist    and tender underneath your that  traeger renegade elite grill reviews  now just gonna let it rest a bit we    slice it up now that pork belly is done    on this ceramic grill so we're gonna    pull it off    maybe that    gondol ooh a crisp on the top plenty of    fat flavor and moisture underneath    that's the way you want    oh yeah    you smell that he smells good    again we'll let him rest    who    we lord have mercy    all right left these slabs cool down    took about a half hour so listen to that    is that crackling crunch you wanted here    boys tender    Oh    say no words    I say it's time     now as you know we do apologize for eat

"That sigh was a lot louder than I intended it to be."  Neil (ofc). Perhaps (please) paired with one of the guys? *cough*Vyvyan*cough* 😇

"Bored!" Vyvyan yelled in his usual ear-shattering tones, "Bored! Bored! Bored! Bored! BORED!!!"

He was currently barging around the house, hitting the walls and anything that looked like it belonged to Rick with a wooden bat. The spotty nuisance was out at the moment at one of his Anarchists Society meetings and Vyvyan had half a mind to gatecrash it to show him what anarchy actually looked like! Mike, too, was out doing 'business'... although, when Vyvyan had asked him what this 'business' entailed and whether he could come along the cool person had gotten all shifty and exited rather quickly.

Even SPG seemed to be in hiding, the ungrateful git, which just left the hippie.

"Neil, I'm hungry! Where's my tea?" the punk demanded as he crashed his way into what Rick referred to as the 'drawing room'. Neil was stood by the windows at the back of the kitchen, watching something. He didn't respond. Vyvyan stomped towards him and smashed his bat against the table a couple of times, "Oi, hippie! Are you deaf? I asked where's my tea!" It was during experiences such as these that the punk felt most proud of his vocal strength.

At last, Neil turned to face Vyvyan, his face showing no sign that he had listened to a word he'd said. He furrowed his brow.

"What?" Neil asked.

Vyvyan rolled his eyes. God! Was it really so much to ask to be fed around here?

"The tea, Neil, where is it?" he repeated just as loudly. The hippie groaned and began to slouch over to the cupboards.

"Oh, that," he muttered, "I wrongly assumed that, like, since the others were out tonight and all, I might get a bit of peace for once but I should have realised that you hate me so of course I'd still have to slave away in here." His tone was reaching the level of unfriendliness usually only reserved for Rick. Vyvyan scrunched up his face and put the bat down.

"Hate's a strong word, I was only asking for my tea," he backtracked indignantly.

"Sure, Vyv, sure," Neil replied sarcastically, not even looking at him and simply continuing to scour the cupboards - probably for stray lentils. He let out a long sigh before slamming the crooked door of the obviously empty cupboard shut with a BANG!

No one spoke.

"That sigh was a lot louder than I intended it to be. We've got literally nothing in," the hippie explained, despite the sound of the door far overpowering the sound of his sigh; perhaps he was trying to clear the air? Vyvyan raised an eyebrow.

"Neil, is something the matter with you?" he asked, perturbed and unsettled by his housemate's behaviour. True, Neil wasn't the happiest guy ever but he also wasn't this passive aggressive without more provocation most of the time. The punk stomped his foot in frustration, "And stop ignoring me, you whining girl!"

This got him more of a reaction. Neil spun around, frowning.

"That's right, Vyvyan, bring me down even more! That's, like, just what I need: loads and loads of heavy vibes from you when I'm already not feeling great!" he complained, crossing his arms. The punk couldn't believe this! Arguments between him and Neil never usually got this nasty so fast!

"I haven't given you any vibes!" he protested, pretty sure that he was correct, "I just wanted food! Anyway, I've changed my mind now if you're going to moan so much." He hadn't, really, Vyvyan was most definitely still hungry. He knocked over one of the chairs as if this proved his point before striding towards the telly.

This was all wrong. Yes, he'd been mind-numbingly bored but he hadn't wanted to fix it by rowing with Neil. He switched the telly on and sprawled across the couch.

"Are you coming? Bastard Squad should be on soon," the punk yelled back at the hippie in the kitchen. This was his peace offering, he was saving his real anger for another. In fact, Vyvyan wouldn't act like he knew what was up with Neil, although he wasn't blind to the reality that the hippie appeared to struggle a lot - he was a medical student after all. He was hoping his housemate would respond when he heard the sound of feet dragging across the floor. Looking up, he grinned and budged aside to let him sit down, "Brilliant!"

Bastard Squad did start not long after that and the two didn't speak much while it was on. Vyvyan noticed Neil's mood growing a touch lighter as he got more into the programme and for this he was glad. About half way through, on compulsion, he reached over and wrapped an arm around Neil's shoulders, a gesture of... well, Vyvyan wasn't quite sure, actually. Still, he felt confident enough to do it. Neil looked over at him, surprised.

"What are you doing, Vyv?" he questioned, not sounding nearly as cross as he had earlier. Vyvyan shrugged.

"I don't know. Just trying to be nice, I suppose. I mean, it's only us," he pointed out, trying to sound nonchalant about it and ignore the way his heart rate was beginning to pick up. The hippie seemed to consider this and nodded.

"Well, thanks then," he replied eventually - or what simply felt as long for the punk, "That's cool."

They continued watching the telly until the dot came on the screen and even then it was only the return of Rick and Mike that separated them. Something had shifted, Vyvyan mused later as he bashed the people's poet's head against a doorframe, something he was alright with.

kjfhgd i worked at this shelf paper manufacturer and the job itself wasnt so bad, i would print shelf paper out, cut it, package it and ship it, but my boss was so anal and such a bastard over the littlest things. i worked there for five months and i never fucked up an order, like ever, but i would do things slightly different because it worked better for me and he would just get so mad and yell and be pissy abt it for the whole day. that and he’d only ever listen to like. Nicknames: Jay is my name but I also go by JayJay, and some of my F/Os get to call me Sparkle Face (and by some right now its only Bill) but Im down for most nicknames!!! If I ever dont like one Id let you know. Nicknames make me feel special!

Zodiac Sign: Im a Sag! (I cant ever spell it) and besides all the tests that are liek YOU ARE SO HORNY MY GUY AND SEXUAL its 100% me. I am just, really Ace outside of fictional characters. But Im creative, and stubborn and full of LOVE!!!!

Height: I am 5′ 10″ !!! if I remember not to slouch. I am, very tall. i always have been, since I was a little kid. 

Hogwarts House: Ravenclaw baby!!!!! Im more on the creative, Luna Lovegood side of the house, and I love it!!! I also dabble in hufflepuff but I find more home and comfort in Ravenclaw. 

Last thing I googled: It was actually Ringmaster Raven. I havent gotten to him yet in Poptropica but I had to look him up for.... research. 

Favorite musicians: Currently its Steam Powered Giraffe. I got WAY back into them recently. I also really love Marianas Trench!!! I love a lot more music but those are the main two I can think of that I listen to like ALL of their music.

Song stuck in my head: uuuuh I’m listening to Game Grumps right now so I don’t have a song in my head, but recently at work I get Over the Moon by SPG stuck in my head as well as Hold Me from SPG.

Followers: On this blog? 10, buts its new. On my Main account (starscream-squarepants) I have 253

Amount of sleep: I uh, try to get 8. Its usually way more or way less. I either sleep forever if I dont have tiem sensitive plans or I have something to do thats times and I sleep for like 5-6 hours. 

Dream job: God I don’t even know anymore. I went to school for animation and illustration and thats my dream but like, what part? Idealy I would work freelance and start my own comic/show/book but, I dont know. Im scared. 

Dream trip: God, a trip around the world, hitting all the major stops. Pyramids, big ben, tokyo, EVERYWHERE

Instruments: I haven’t played in a while but I used to play the violin. I wanna learn the piano. I also sing, I joke that I play the throat. 

Languages: English and very minimal conversation ASL. I have been able to help deaf customers at work and that always feels cool! I wanna learn more, I only took 2 semesters of ASL in college. 

Favorite Songs: Fuck I have SO MANY. Since SPG is all i listen to right now I will list my top songs from them right now. Which ARE Hold Me, I Don’t Have a Name For It, Only Human, Photographic Memories, Red Queen, Brass Goggles, Me and My Baby (Saturday Nights)  uh from Marianas Trench its Fallout, all 3 parts to Masterpiece Theatre, Suspending Gravity and most showtunes man. 

Aesthetic: god I am so bad at aesthetics. I got asked once in college by my professor what an example of an aesthetic was and my answer was “Pastel Skeletons” and she just kinds paused, and looked arounf the room and then went “/Anyone else/?”. So Ill try. I like adventures in the woods, faerie circles, elven cities. Tree houses, fire places, fire pits, smores. The air after the rain, the grey in the sky after a storm. Being curled up on a large recliner, feet off the the side on the seat, wrapped in a blanket and cradling a warm cup of tea while rain gently hits the window. Abandoned buildings and amusement parks, run over with plants. Adventure, comfort, warmth.  I also love neon, a quiet rave with glowsticks.
