In middle school I was a really big fan of the movie m*moirs of a g*isha and my mom’s friend had a copy of it so I used to watch it all the time when she used to leave me at his house while they were both at work. And I loved it sm that I bought the book around that time but a few years later I read on here, I believe, that m&neko iw*saki didn’t give the old white dude who wrote the book permission to include a lot of the things he did. So the summer of like ‘16 I finally got the opportunity to buy HER telling of her life on a trip and I read a little bit of it and then never picked it up again bc I’m stupid........

 (VOTE IN THE INSTA COMMENTS) The winner from HoF pgs 201-400 was #4! “His breath caught, harsh enough that she looked over her shoulder. But his eyes weren’t on her face. Or the water. They were on her bare back.” I really wanted to convey the scene without showing her scars, and instead through the emotion on their faces.

HEIR OF FIRE Pgs. 401 - 565 – Top 3 moments! NOTE – I did NOT include the carranam scene because I’ll likely do a separate full painting for that one day. J

1. “Aelin Galathynius smiled at her, hand still outreached. ‘Get up,’ the princess said. Celaena reached across the earth between them and brushed her fingers against Aelin’s. And arose.”

This parallel to the scene in the first book, MY HEART.

2. “’Aelin,’ he murmured, and it wasn’t a reprimand, or a thank-you, but … a prayer. ‘Aelin,’ he whispered again, grinning, and kissed her brow before he dropped to both knees before her.

SJM has a thing for writing men dropping to their knees before powerful women and honestly that’s my religion.

3. “He looked at his friend, perhaps for the last time, and said what he had always known, from the moment they’d met, when he’d understood that the prince was his brother in soul. ‘I love you.’”

WHEN will my BABY Dorian STOP SUFFERING??? PLEASE.

Bonus: “Asterin had swaggered into the mess hall that morning, well aware that she was lethal as all hell.” Do I need to say anything here? No. Asterin is my soul sister.
